Olive & Rye, a laid-back cafe located at 43 Call Ln in Leeds, is a favorite brunch spot known for its delicious breakfast and lunch menu. The cafe offers a cozy atmosphere that makes visitors feel welcome. Their specialty pancakes are described as a brunch version of cheesecake, featuring berries, vanilla mascarpone cheesecake mix, white chocolate crumble, and white chocolate sauce.
Great food, good prices, friendly staff! Came back for a second time as it was so good. We enjoyed the full English breakfast and also had the loaded hash browns at this cafe and I was impressed with the quality of food. The breakfast comes with a large chunk of crispy pork instead of bacon and I was skeptical at first however it actually made the breakfast where it was so perfectly cooked. The outside was perfectly crispy and the pork fell apart. Highly recommended this cafe, great all round spot for breakfast.

We decided on breakfast here after our hotels restaurant was being refurbished. Set in the Queens Arcade initial impression was wow quirky and was excited to eat here. Now let me tell you, the staff were lovely and friendly and yes I should have spoken up at the time. It was freezing inside, my cappuccino was warm not hot. I ordered smashed avocado on toasted sour dough bread. It was the smallest portion I've ever had of this dish and I left hungry. The plate was stone cold making my food barely warm. Not a dish you could ask to warm up. My partner had the full English breakfast again only warm and on a stone cold plate. This place could be amazing with a few tweaks. Invest in heaters to warm where customers sit and warm your plates to help keep food warm. We will visit again and I hope I can update my review to be better.

Had a brilliant brunch at Olive & Rye in Leeds and can't recommend it enough. We ordered the Reuben Benedict and the Hash Brown Benedict – both were absolutely spot on. The flavours were rich and well-balanced, and the portions generous without being over the top. The Reuben had just the right amount of saltiness from the pastrami, and the hash brown version was wonderfully crispy and satisfying. To drink, we had a latte and a matcha latte, both of which were lovely – smooth, well made, and served at the perfect temperature. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service friendly without being intrusive. Overall, a top-notch experience – definitely a place we’ll be coming back to.

Olive & Rye is a lovely little cafe with friendly staff, plenty of vegetarian and vegan options and a great selection of cakes. Had a very nice meal out with my family here.
Amy R — Google review
We were looked after; outside tables were a bit chilly but blankets were provided and staff moved us inside as soon as a table came free. Good menu choice and really nice food. Recommend Reuben Benedict, an excellent combo of pastrami, pickle and Eggs Benedict.
Andrew P — Google review
Beautiful food, at a good price. Lovely atmosphere. Would definitely visit again. I got the Reuben Benedict and my mate got the French toast and both really enjoyed it.
Dan S — Google review
Were hungry in Leeds so popped in here. Good food, ok pricing, very good service and the food came very fast. It was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed it. Unfortunately there is no phone signal in the shop and we were late for a meeting so had to leave, but their bill gives you discount to a nearby Olive and Thai shop. Would like to commend the owners and servers for being so pleasant and friendly and checking up on customers. Has outdoor seating so can be wheelchair accessible.
Aromal N — Google review
Returned back Olive and Rye after a while. Still great as usual. We had a vegetarian full english breakfast which is really big portion and nice of course. Coffee was impressed too. Staff was friendly and attentive, Simran and Mo were great host ✨🫶🏻💕A sunday well spent 🥰

Laynes, located near Leeds train station, is a popular spot known for its carefully sourced and freshly roasted coffee beans. The cafe offers a vibrant and inviting workspace for students and commuters in the heart of the city center. Their menu features a variety of brunch options that lean towards lunch territory, such as smashed peas and cannellini beans on sourdough toast, Turkish eggs with garlic yogurt, sweetcorn fritters with halloumi, and more.
Lovely cafe near the railway station. Great bustling atmosphere. Busy and popular. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Coffee (flat white) was perfect. We had a light lunch and both were very tasty. The pastries on sale looked amazing! The croissants looked huge! Service was prompt and the staff were friendly and attentive.
Elviera L — Google review
Loved it! I came here on a whim because it's close to the station (hence the name I suppose) and I'm happy I did! The menu is varied and offers many tasty sounding dishes that cater to carnivores, vegetarians and vegans alike. There are also plenty of sweet and savoury pastries to choose from! The interior is charming and I didn't have to wait long to get a table. The staff was very friendly and helpful! And - most importantly for most - food and coffee were great! I'll definitely come back here when I'm in Leeds once more!
Philip Z — Google review
We went to the restaurant one day and were told there were no available tables, with a waiting time of 30–45 minutes. We decided to come back another day, earlier, and with a reservation. Two days later, we called to book but were told they don’t take reservations and to just come directly. When we arrived, they said there were no tables and that we would have to wait 15–20 minutes, even though several tables were empty both inside and outside. The staff’s attitude was not great, and unfortunately, the service was poor. The food was tasty, but you leave the restaurant smelling like cooking because the kitchen is in the middle of the place. On top of that, the noise level was so high you could barely talk and heard.
Nouf B — Google review
This place was an absolute delight! We stopped for lunch on a gorgeous, sunny day and the atmosphere was vibrant and busy—clearly a very popular spot. The menu had a lovely selection of food, but I was truly blown away by the amazing specialty coffee and the incredible pastries. I couldn't leave without taking some with me for later! I can't recommend this gem enough for anyone visiting Leeds. A well-deserved 5 stars! ☕
Vadym P — Google review
This place exceeded our expectations. Great full English and amazing Turkish eggs. Pastry was great too. It’s right next to the train station, which is very convenient if you are traveling.
Irina G — Google review
God this place is just heavenly. Probably preaching to the converted if you are from Leeds. This place is quite rightly rammed so come early or book in advance. Lovely breakfasts, good coffee, great service, too both ambience. I love this place. Trust the locals! They know their rhubarb!
Roque S — Google review
Lovely place to go for brunch or a coffee and a pastry. We had a latte and flat white with a croissant and a cinnamon bun. The croissant was massive and delicious, and coffees were fantastic too. Great service and ambient!

Such is the popularity of this cafe even pre 9:00 am on a Saturday morning I’m in the basement which is quiet, chilled with the A/C + music. Fast well organised table service, first class food, numerous charging points and its convenience for the 🚂 makes this a must visit eatery.

Cafe
House of Koko in Chapel Allerton and Oakwood, on the outskirts of Leeds, offers a delightful brunch experience with fluffy and delicious pancakes topped with a variety of options such as bacon, biscoff, kinder bueno, nuts, white chocolate chips, banana and ice cream. The cafe is beautifully decorated and airy with an incredibly diverse menu that includes excellent vegetarian options. The presentation and individuality of the food make it worth a visit.
We visited on the day they were releasing their new menu and the food was absolutely unreal. So beautiful and so tasty. They have nailed it! I had the smashed peas. Everyone working was so lovely and one of the chefs even came out to deliver a sauce and explained what was in it and a bit about the food. Can tell they were excited about the new menu and for good reason. Can’t recommend it enough.
Grace — Google review
When the meal arrived I thought, “I’ll be surprised if the taste lives up to the presentation”… it wasn’t an issue. The pictures are from two different times and the food has been consistently excellent. Also, the coffee is first class. House of Koko are really taking “cafe” food to a whole new level. Price is a fair reflection of the excellent standard. My single, minor criticism is that I’d have loved a tiny bit more sourdough to help soak up the flavoursome oils and sauces of the dish. The baked goods are also as instagram-worthy as their flavour. The service is great. Thankfully, kids and dogs are welcome. Yet another gem of Chapel Allerton. Don’t miss it.

Went for brunch and had an enjoyable experience. Got the Turkish eggs with an extra merguez sausage on top. Big portion and seasoned well. It is a little on the pricier side, especially if adding extra toppings, but it's a nice treat every now and then.
T N — Google review
Popped in for coffee, while I waited for my wife to have her eye operation, but ended up having a very nice breakfast indeed - it's not very often I'm in this neck of the woods living out York way, but with the wife going in for eye surgery at a local hospital and a wait of a couple of hours, no point in travel back home to turn round an come straight back. Thats why the coffee hunt, so glad I did - good strong coffee with a very nice eggs royale, on an english muffin. Spot on and service was excellent

Just popped into House of Koko for the first time after moving to the area, and my new friend Lucy truly made the experience unforgettable. She was soo friendly, warm, and attentive, going out of her way to tell me about the area, the menu and she even made my little one feel right at home. Her genuine kindness and attentive service was such a cozy, welcoming vibe that I can’t wait to return to!

Moose Coffee is a delightful homage to the vibrant breakfast culture of North America, blending American and Canadian influences into an unforgettable dining experience. Inspired by the iconic diners and delis of New York City, Moose Coffee offers a diverse short order menu that celebrates comfort food at its finest. From their signature Might Moose dish—featuring homemade potato hash topped with perfectly fried eggs and back bacon—to the indulgent Coney Island hot dog smothered in BBQ pulled pork, every bite is crafted with care.
I've been to Moose Coffee twice now and both times have been just right. This time I came for a quick bite and trialled out the Reuben. Now I base a Reuben on the American version, this one had a unique spin. On a bagel instead of rye and no thousand island. But still a tasty nibble. Can't wait to return and have more food since they do all day breakfast! Served by Archie who was very nice to have a small chat with.
Hannah H — Google review
Moose Coffee offers a very UK-style atmosphere with a cozy vibe that makes it a nice spot to hang out. The food itself is fairly average — nothing too special, but it does the job. What really stands out is the staff: they’re super friendly and attentive, which makes the experience a lot better. Prices are reasonable, and the 20% student discount is definitely a plus.

Our new favourite breakfast food place! Great coffee and matcha, delicious selection of food and a warm and welcoming service. It was a lovely experience through and through, our server Elli was so kind and lovely, nothing was too much trouble! And a big shout out to chef Krystian for the delicious food! We will certainly be back, there is simply too many yummy things we want to try!
Charly A — Google review
Exceptional food, polite friendly service and great value. Menu choices and variety are phenomenal. I had the Manilito ( a delicious Moose's take on Huevos Rancheros) and my husband had Fab Five Freddy burger and potato hash. Drinks, food quality and atmosphere was excellent. Such a lovely place.
Rosie — Google review
Alex cooked me an amazing fab five Freddie- the potato hash was out of this world! Fantastic presentation and the flavour combo was unreal. I would definitely recommend. Archie was my server, he was attentive and knowledgeable and very polite without being pushy. He couldn’t accommodate me enough. It’s nice to see the younger generation grafting hard. All the staff at Leeds moose work very hard and this is clear to see. The place runs like clockwork and is very clean and tidy! I will 100% return! No complaints at all! 5 star! Keep it up team moose Leeds!
Sophie H — Google review
Cocktails were lovely, food was plentiful, and atmosphere was great! DEFINITELY book as people were being turned away on a Sunday for brunch. Will definitely come back. Jasmine was very sweet and gave us birthday pancakes which were scrumptious! Despite the busy nature of the restaurant, Krystian did amazingly well in the kitchen and the food was clearly made me with love. A+++++++ place.
Hann L — Google review
Busy place but they got us in quickly. Had the thick Moose pancakes with maple syrup and streaky bacon – fluffy, tasty, bacon could’ve been thicker but still hit the spot. Flat white was decent, though lacking froth (maybe rushed barista). Service was solid. Good spot for a hearty breakfast.
Charlie C — Google review
Abbie welcomed us with a lovely and positive demeanour although we didn’t book she informed us it would be a 20 minute wait and when we came back there was a table ready for us. 100% recommend as she was a top server and Krystian made 10/10 food!!

Bill's Leeds Restaurant offers a diverse dining experience with separate menus for breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch, and dinner. The contemporary European chain presents an array of comforting mains such as Buttermilk Chicken Burger and Black Gold Burger with unique ingredients like chipotle mayonnaise and black truffle fondue. The restaurant also boasts a selection of wines, beers, and classic cocktails.
We tried Bill's for the first time today. The menu had lots of interesting items. I had the crispy duck and BBQ bacon fries. Both items had a spicy kick to it which I'm not sure was necessary. We tried the bottomless pancakes - which were amazing and so filling; My favourite was the Biscoff. The bill automatically includes a service charge, but we found our servers to be very friendly and attentive, especially Kalila. We will be back again ❤️
H — Google review
We had a good meal here on a busy Saturday. We managed to get in for a table of four after the afternoon rush. We waited a little while for drinks to arrive, but the food came pretty quickly after that. We had a good mix of dishes between us from the crispy duck salad, pancakes, steak and eggs and a chicken burger. We all really enjoyed our food and thought the price was pretty reasonable too.
Stephanie I — Google review
Bills Leeds. Incredible food, with large portions and great quality throughout. The menu has a vast selection of items, with something to suit everyone. I also had the tropical smoothie and the elderflower lemonade, both of which tasted great, but the portion size didn’t really reflect the price which was a little disappointing. The venue itself was very busy but had a great atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly, and payment was made even easier with the QR code system which worked seamlessly. There are also plenty of offers available online which makes it even better value. Overall, a great experience and one I’d happily recommend.
Sam — Google review
Very dimly lit, was difficult to read the menu. Had to order drinks 3 times before they arrived. Asked for ketchup never arrived. Ribs were cold and the Thai green curry had 4 tiny pieces of chicken. Burger looked like a happy meal. Staff slow yet not busy. Only positive was the beer was good
Matt D — Google review
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to your establishment for the amazing pancakes! They are simply delightful – soft, aromatic, and with the perfect texture. Every time we visit, we enjoy not only the excellent cuisine but also the warm atmosphere, attentive service, and cozy ambiance. Thank you to your chef and the entire team for such a wonderful culinary experience! We will definitely come back again and recommend you to our friends! Best regards

Had a lovely time at Bill’s yesterday and can’t wait to come back. Thank you Lucy for the lovely service and for answering our questions 🥰. I loved the Biscoff and berry pancakes 😍 10/10 and you can’t go wrong with the bottomless option on selected Fridays. We booked a table for 1:45pm and were seated straight away! 💞 coffee and drinks were lovely too. I highly recommend this place to visit when you’re in Leeds xx

IF Up North is a charming independent cafe with a cozy and rustic interior, offering an array of breakfast and brunch options. The menu features traditional fry-ups, avocado toast, various egg dishes, as well as vegetarian and vegan choices. Visitors praise the delicious cakes, friendly staff, and the lovely coffee. With several locations in Leeds, IF Up North originated on Call Lane and has gained a reputation for its exceptional coffee and all-day dining menu.
We made the decision to go out for breakfast on a Sunday morning. After strolling around the city centre, we came onto this spot, and I promise you that it was the best choice we have ever made. Despite its small size, it offers fantastic stuff. The personnel is courteous, kind, and helpful. We had a delicious English breakfast that included flavourful bacon, sausage and eggs. The red velvet pancakes are a mouth- and heart-pure delight! Without a doubt, I will advise you to visit. The coffee is excellent! Excellent work!

One of the best iced mochas I’ve ever had!! There was some confusion between the oat/dairy milk but they remade the drink, wouldn’t hurt to just double check with them if you have any dietary restrictions! Great brunch place though, very tasty vegan Yorkshire breakfasts and burritos!! Oh, they also a good range of sauces (sriracha!) which is a big plus.

Came for brunch today, our waitress was absolutely lovely, super smiley and friendly. Came to see us quickly and drinks were brought hot and fresh, there was a little wait for the food but it was totally totally worth it, the steak salad was so tasty and fresh, and the breakfast burrito was 10/10! Huge portions and all cooked fresh and with care. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely returning after such an amazing first visit!

quite an average experience here. service was a quite slow despite only having 2-3 other tables on a slow weekday morning. atmosphere was tight but not too bothersome for me since it was not busy. bathroom needs some attention though, there was no soap and the taps were faulty. moving onto the food, it was not bad but not memorable. i went for the ‘complete if’ which came stacked with bacon, and chorizo, so you’ll love it if you love meat. perhaps a minor gripe but both the poached eggs were overcooked and not runny and the sourdough was hard and burnt in places; just expected more from a place dedicated to brunch!
Mel — Google review
I came here with my sisters and our kids around 11 a.m., and the restaurant was mostly empty with just a few people dining. I asked for a table, but the waiter didn't greet me properly and told me there wasn't much space available. I was really disappointed because we had walked about 20 minutes to get there based on someone’s recommendation. I won’t be returning. Service begins with the staff.

Great portion sizes and really tasty food—I definitely recommend the American breakfast. I also had a smoothie, which was delicious. The only downside was the wait for drinks and food. We didn’t mind too much since the food was worth it, but it would be helpful if customers were informed upfront that there might be a wait. That way, expectations are managed better.

Made a booking for Sunday morning. Definitely make a booking for then as they were very busy even at 9am. I got the blueberry and banana pancakes. The portion is massive which is great bang for your buck. Could be worth sharing it between two people if you aren’t the hungriest. The pancake was great but looks like it’s sitting more in blueberry soup rather than a compote. Was very good regardless. My friend got the eggs Benedict was quite good and would recommend. It was generally very busy during this time so was hard to get the servers attention but they were all very nice. They were great with my peanut allergy and they asked it I had any allergies when I ordered.
Jonathan H — Google review
We went on a busy Saturday afternoon. Before ushering us in we were asked to give back the table in one hour. I wasn't sure what the ask was for since it wasn't a unlimited brunch place. It felt very rude and outright obnoxious. I asked her are you sure the food will come within an hour and she assured yes. And gave some reason for her question which was lost in the din. We were seated orders taken quickly. The drinks arrived quick enough. The guava juice was very tasty. The server had no idea what drinks he was serving and we took a guess and collected our respective ones. We ordered chicken tacos, katsu curry with rice, waffles and French toast with chicken. The brunch items were tasty must say but essentially the same ingredients. The tacos were pathetic. They weren't even taco shells and very heavy handed with feta cheese! Gosh! The katsu curry was nothing to write home about. The service was late like a train not getting clearance. We had some neighbouring patrons who came after us but got served before. Happens I guess. Someone sent back food claiming it was freezing. There was big crash in the bar with shattered glass. So lot of drama and delayed service. Seemed like a bad train journey overall. Unless you have a sweet tooth, avoid the place.

Wow the Pancakes! Great little find in Leeds. Really nice atmosphere and friendly, quick service. Reasonably priced and good portion sizes too 😊 We got the Nachos, Eggs Royale and Blueberry & Banana Pancakes.

I cant recommend this place enough. The Farmhouse Benedict was the tastiest breakfast Ive ever had. We went on the morning of 27th Sept and the young lady and young man who served us were amazing. Next time I come to Leeds il be back to try other items on the menu

Really delicious food and served quickly, but I was really disappointed that when my leftovers were boxed up I had to ask for my maple syrup and my bacon didn't make it to the box! Unfortunately it's left me feeling frustrated even though the food was very yummy.

We stopped in for brunch during a day out in Leeds city centre and were very impressed. We were seated immediately upon arrival. I ordered the Full Mediterranean breakfast, which was prepared well. Beyond the food, the dining experience was enhanced by the great atmosphere and comfortable setting, with tables well-spaced. The service was a highlight: we received a warm welcome, and the entire wait staff was attentive and polite throughout our meal

The breakfast and lunch menus feature a variety of dishes, from sweetcorn fritters to buttermilk fried chicken burgers. With its extensive menu, including salads, sandwiches, tapas, and burgers, Cosy Club caters to various preferences.
We had tried to go here the day before but they were full up with brunch customers so we can back the next day. We were not disappointed. We did have to wait a bit and get a drink at the bar. We were seated after about 20 min and had a very pleasant server. The real highlight though was the food! It was fantastic. I was not sure what to expect, we were coming for the atmosphere so this level of service and food was a surprise. I had the fish finger sandwich and it was extremely well cooked, maybe perfectly. Good breading and even better sauce and slaw. The bun was fresh tasting and completed the sandwich.

We had such a lovely dinner at cosy club! We hadn’t booked but they found somewhere for us to sit outside immediately! I ordered a spicy coconut and pineapple margarita which did have a kick but was so good! We had the monkey bread which was 10/10 it was warm and salty and tasted amazing. My linguine was so delicious and my boyfriend’s steak was great too. Pheobe and Alice were serving us and they were so helpful and smiley it made all the difference! We will definitely be back again🍝🍸❤️

A great development of an old retail space into a bar and restaurant. Lots of decor is art deco, and the furnishings match the name, namely cosy. I didn't eat here but the menu looked really interesting. Next time. It is a nice atmosphere to chill ,relax and enjoy your tipple.

Lovely evening here. Staff couldn’t do enough for us, all really friendly, fun, and helpful. The drinks were good, but a little overpriced. The food was lovely, but the portion sizes were a little small. All in all, a nice place to visit.

I fell in love with this restaurant 😊 The atmosphere of this restaurant is unique... a combination of traditional and modern atmosphere ... Suitable for romantic dates or even group parties... the restaurant space is very large and you will have your own privacy. If you don't like the dimly lit space, be sure to choose the tables next to the window, which are brighter. The restaurant staff, including the restaurant manager, are very friendly and pleasant. ● The food took a little longer to prepare than usual so be patient if you are very hungry. ● Food was not served to everyone at the same time. ● The wrong coffee order was served, but the correct order was immediately replaced. ● I chose a new dish from the menu, the Spanish chicken, which was very tasty, but the corners of the chicken were a little over-grilled, but overall it was excellent. Unlike the above points, which can definitely be improved, I definitely recommend this restaurant... and I will definitely visit again...

Came here for some food before seeing a concert at the arena. I didn't know what to expect, but the decor of the place is very historic. Full of ancient portraits. So the food looked good. Had the buttermilk fried and chicken and beef burger. We did have to send one of the burgers back as it was a lot more under cooked than the other, and my friend doesn't like pink red meat. They were really polite though and swapped her burger. We didn't have any desserts as they didn't sound too appealing to us. They did however have a matcha martini that I had to try. Overall was a nice place. I wouldn't pick it all the time but I would come back. Staff were lovely

Visited Cosy Club in Leeds recently and had a really enjoyable time — the atmosphere was stylish and relaxed, and the food and drinks were just what we were after. But the real highlight? The staff. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. It made such a difference to the experience and gave the place a lovely, personal feel. We’ll definitely be back — great service makes all the difference, and the team here really got it right.

Taken to Cozy Club by my cubs for Father's Day and was treated to a cut glass with a miniature from Cozy Club. I had the Dirty Chicken Burger, which was delicious, followed by a very tasty Miso Custard Tart. The rest of the family had some sharing plates in beef croquettes, buttermilk chicken and mac 'n' cheese, followed by chocolate mousse and brownie. Shame the Flat White was tepid when it arrived. Great food friendly service - the staff were so nice.

Heaney & Mill is a family-run restaurant located in Headingley, offering a casual dining experience with a diverse menu. The staff are accommodating and willing to cater to dietary restrictions, ensuring that all guests feel comfortable and welcome. Known for their famous Sunday lunches, the restaurant serves a variety of roast options accompanied by delectable sides and gravies.
We missed the breakfast menu by 20 minutes, we wanted the Trio. So I ordered the breakfast stack and the other half the Reuben sandwich. The stack was really good, breakfast with some different flavours, a little spice and jammy sweetness. The fries were crispy, excellent. The Reuben was meant to have corned beef and beef. It seemed to be just pastrami, but she enjoyed it anyway. Good food, friendly service. We made breakfast this time! They don't have eggs trio on the menu anymore but they kindly did a player for us for £17. I had the traditional, very nice.

Exceeded expectations by quite some margin! We had the BBQ scallops, tuna, BBQ sea bass and duck Rossini. Faultless. The stand out were the scallops. Amazing. The BBQ sea bass was also spectacular. Fabulous service. Cracking value at £130 for the food, a bottle of rosé and a cider. Will definitely be back soon.

One of the best Sunday lunches we’ve had. Belly pork was amazing with the cauliflower cheese. Although there was no truffle mash served which the menu said was part of the roast. Would definitely come again but…where was the truffle mash??

It's been a few months since we visited but I thought I'd better get round to posting a review as we had a very good experience. I have somewhat complicated dietary restrictions which they catered to very well, and overall the food and service was very good. The service was polite, friendly & attentive without being overbearing, and the food was really tasty, we had quite a range of dishes between 6 of us and all left satisfied! Edited to original review: we have since visited 2 more times, and I remain impressed by the quality of the food, the service, and their willingness to cater to my food intolerances.

Really good Sunday roast! Between us we had pork, lamb and beef and all were delicious and perfectly cooked, served with excellent veg, puddings and potatoes (particularly loved the addition of truffle mash!). We also had a solid Bloody Mary and great wines by the glass. Definitely in the top 3 of the many roasts we’ve sampled in Leeds

The quality of food and service is absolutely fantastic, I'm a returning customer. The sunday roast is amazing and the size of the Yorkie is huge and quite a spectacle on the plate. Their brioche buns and bagels are made in-house and are delicious! Service is always prompt and friendly, they look after you well. Group sizes of all kinds can be accommodated, booking a table ahead is recommended but not necessary. They also have a good sized function room upstairs available for hire and events.

Amazing experience. I booked for my friends baby shower for a large group outside, but when the weather took a turn, Vikki made an effort to arrange our own room upstairs in the stunning event space. The staff were attentive and the food was incredible, they really looked after us. I would highly recommend the seabass dish and the pineapple spicy margaritas. Many thanks to Jacob and the team for such a lovely day.

We wouldn't visit again. Cold hollandaise sauce on poached eggs is just vile. The taller girl had an "I don't car attitude", she wasn't customer focused, served others before us and smirked. Then went back towards the bar checking her phone before coming to take our order. The younger girl was attentive and smiling and exactly how a Waitress should be. Overall not a great experience, given the food being cold.

This branch offers an array of crepes with various fillings and toppings, perfect for both on-the-go breakfasts and indulgent treats.
Absolutely delightful! This place is a little slice of dessert heaven. The crepes are light, fluffy, and generously filled, with flavors that taste as good as they look. The presentation is gorgeous, the atmosphere is cozy, and the staff are so warm and welcoming. Whether you’re in the mood for something sweet, fruity, or chocolatey, every bite feels like a treat worth coming back for.”

This place is very nice! I got the "I'll have what she's having" because they didn't have any bananas but I would highly recommend it for anyone who is a first-timer. They have a nice variety but not too big so all the crepes they make are very nice and good quality. I wish there was a bit more crepe, but it could be because I was very hungry. Very nice.
Seth P — Google review
I ordered the salmon and avocado crepe, and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The crepe itself was rubbery, and the presentation was unappealing. For £11, I expected a much higher standard in both taste and quality. Overall, I don’t believe the meal was worth the price, and I would not recommend this place.

Crepeaffaire can get really busy sometimes but luckily we found a seat, the food was great and the waffles especially were massive. I would recommend this place because of the nice service and good food ! I tried the savoury crepe for the first time and I was impressed, it's like a pizza in a crepe ! The waffles and smoothies were homemade and tasted great, lovely portion sizes. Fair price for good food. I think I'll be coming back, just a shame that Trinity can be so busy sometimes :)

Visited for breakfast and loved the pancakes. The coffee was spot-on too, and the staff were really friendly. Only downsides: prices were a bit high, and sipping coffee from glasses felt weird. Plus, seating was a bit snug. Still, enjoyed it overall, but some tweaks needed, hence the 4 stars.

North Star Coffee Shop is a local coffee shop with delicious roasts of beans from all over the world. Situated next to their roastery, you can try two espressos each as well as one expertly-made filter coffee. There are also loose tea, craft beers and cocktails on offer. A gem in Leeds Dock, North Star will have pancakes for the February 13th day only!
Great little coffee place in Leeds dock. Good coffee and a small menu of breakfast, brunch and excellent cakes. The sausage and egg sandwich was amazing, the cakes were great too. They also sell their own coffee beans. Not the cheapest place but the quality is very good and you get what you pay for!

The staff were lovely and the space was clean. The vibe was good and the coffee was of a good high quality. The coffee shop also has a mini store area where you can purchase beans, T-shirts and some cool looking tote bags. The coffee is priced as a normal high quality coffee is nowadays, but the portion sizes are on the smaller size - (I had taken a couple sips out of my glass in the photo provided!). I tried the last slice of the tiramisu tart, which was a little different! Similar to a treacle tart with some cream on top. This was nice! Good location on the docks, near the library boat and the Royal Armouries.

I tried two different coffees here, both being made as a long black. They were the Astro house blend and a Mexican sierra Mazateca variety. They were both really nice. The house blend was chocolaty with a slight citrus angle, while the Mexican bean had a more apple and nutty taste. Both different but both very nice. Highly recommended.

Located in the heart of Leeds at the Victoria Quarter Arcades, The Ivy Victoria Quarter is a two-story restaurant known for its vibrant decor and British menu offerings. The restaurant's traditional green and gold Art Deco stylings create a stylish and elegant atmosphere, with outdoor seating available for sunny days. Renowned for its delectable afternoon tea, the venue features an art deco interior with gold leaf ceilings and a twenties-style bar.
We didn’t book, but decided to call in here to have a light bite and a glass of Prosecco in the outdoor dining area. The waiter, Jack, came straight over and offered us water. We chatted a little and he asked whether we were celebrating anything, and we told him that it was my birthday and that was our reason for being in Leeds. We explained we are only having a small plate because we have a meal booked later in the day. The food we had was amazing, I highly recommend the crab starter, it’s definitely a special dish. We finished our food and asked for the bill. Next, Jack walks over with a desert with a candle in it And it had a little chocolate saying happy birthday on it. I was over the moon and it made my day. I want to thank you so much for your kindness and amazing service. Jack is a credit to the Restaurant (which is absolutely stunning). Nice fair prices, especially for the quality of the coffee. Butternut squash, tomatoes, mushrooms and spinach on toast was delicious; although maybe a tiny bit heavy on the butternut squash for me. Chicken Caesar sandwich was fresh and the bread was great.

The shop has a very nice hipster vibe with all the jazz. Its interior is authentic. The brewing equipment looks amazing and all the guys clearly knows what a good coffee is. We have visited as a group and had many coffees and types of coffees. I had a latte that was very delicious, you definitely don’t need sugar in it. The cakes and food looked yummy too, but haven’t tried it. The toilets look cool. You need to find a parking lot close by as the place hasn’t got its own parking.

Great place, very chill and service is top tier. The guys are very attentive and accommodating. Space is limited but not uncomfortably so. Eggs Benedict were some of the best I've seen, and the taste was almost perfect, though I'd have preferred fried tomatoes as a topping as fresh out the fridge made the food too cold. Coffee was delicious, id asked for vanilla syrup which wasn't available, but was promised that the blend had a sweet kick to it anyway - it absolutely did g and I've never tasted coffee like it before, which was great.

Nestled in the vibrant student hub of Hyde Park, LS6 Cafe, also affectionately known as The Clock Cafe, boasts a rich history as one of Leeds' longest-standing independent establishments. With its eclectic decor featuring mannequin body parts and striking red banquettes, this cafe/bar is not just about aesthetics; it serves up a delightful global menu that has evolved over the years.
Such a nice place for brunch. The staff there is super attentive! The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious! We had an extremely disappointing meal and manager response at LS6 Cafe and will not be returning. We travelled 30 miles to Leeds to have a special Eid family breakfast at this cafe due to the previous excellent reviews. The setting and the service from the staff was very good. We were seated quickly and they turned the (loud) music down upon request. We left a 20% tip for them at the end. Everything else was poor. As you can see from the pictures, the food was of an extremely poor standard. The first time the French toast came it was burnt. The service staff took it away upon request and the second French toast had not been made with egg, it tasted like hard cake and was swimming in syrup. My husband's churros were overdone and barely edible. My daughter's pancakes were also burnt and left swimming in syrup, presumably to mask the taste. Despite being summer there were no fresh fruit served with it. Berries and bananas are very common on pancake orders so I've no idea what the issue was here. The latte was bitter and we left it. The worst part of the experience was the attitude of the manager, an older gentlemen with silvery grey hair. Although he was polite he did nothing to rectify our complaints. Despite showing him the French toast clearly had not been made with egg, he said it was done the night before. He had no answer to us pointing out the burnt food or terrible latte. Normally we would expect the manager to refund the offending items but he took no such steps and we decided not to press the matter and left the cafe with the majority of the food uneaten. We left our usual 20% tip to the wait staff (£50 from a £41.65) as it was not their fault that the food was poor and the manager's response was brusque. The final nail in the coffin was my 6 year old daughter complaining of a tummy ache before we left the cafe due to the poor quality of the food. We are forced to leave 1 star by Google, but we would leave zero stars and will not be coming back. We enclose our photos and receipt as proof. We find Google reviews extremely helpful and would like to reciprocate to warn other potential customers of the issues you may have. Leeds is full of excellent restaurants and cafes, there is no need to put up with subpar food or manager service.

Came here to study during the holidays period, atmosphere is very cheerful and cozy, the staff there are super friendly and good at what they do, had a coffee late and loved the figure they drew on top of it, what I loved the most though, is their dogs policy, you can come with your dog and enjoy your drink, even put a treat bowl infront of the place! TLDR; if you want a cozy place to enjoy a a drink or a bite to eat, definitely recommend it.

We had brunch here and really enjoyed it. We didn't book in advance so were seated at an out-of-the-way high table but the food more than made up for it. The well-seasoned mushrooms were a great addition to the eggs Florentine. Service was efficient even though the place was quite busy.

First visit here today and I can’t believe I’ve left it so long. LS6 reminds me of some of my favourite Melbourne brunch spots, so this was a bit of a treat in the middle of Headingley. Service was friendly, and fast; and the brunch menu is really varied and has lots of modifications for dietary requirements. What I loved most is how easy it was to customise a menu item from the big list off ‘add on items’ - so many places overlook the need to add bacon or halloumi to your bacon or halloumi! The atmosphere has a really nice balance of casual and sophisticated. It’s perfect for a chat with friends in a booth, or there are some quieter tables towards the back. Water is available for every table, not enough places do this In England. Food was very tasty and well presented, though I felt the portioning of some of the items to be on the small side. That said, it was excellent quality and really good value for money. The coffee didn’t rock my world.

We only went here as it was the only cafe in the area open before 10 on a Sunday to soak up the nights before alcohol and was pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Plus the music was a bonus, led zeppelin and black sabbath 👌🏻

Le Chalet is a delightful French bistro located in the heart of the city center. The restaurant boasts a cozy atmosphere with carefully selected traditional French dishes, including award-winning Yorkshire venison haunch steak and succulent seared pigeon breast. Guests can also enjoy a variety of breakfast and lunch options such as sandwiches, canapes, and eggs benedict.
We honestly feel like Le Chalet is one of the best kept secrets in Leeds! This was our third visit and it’s got consistently more enjoyable each time we have been! The staff (especially the owner/manager) are an absolute delight. They are always very friendly and welcoming plus, they know how to give each customer that personal touch when delivering their exceptional high level of customer service and always with a smile. Nothing is any hassle and they couldn’t be more accommodating! We have always felt valued at Le Chalet and this occasion was no exception! The range of options on the menu is adequately vast so, there really is something there for everyone with many unique items that you would struggle to find anywhere else! On this visit we had the hot afternoon tea, which we can not more highly recommend! It was quite literally the best Afternoon Tea we have ever had in every sense of the word! The portion sizes are fantastic, the taste and aromas are purely exotic and the presentation is mesmerising making the whole set up excellent value for money! Particular highlights for us were the chicken pasta bake and the mussels that tasted super fresh and were served piping hot! Every single item on our Afternoon Tea was exceptional quality and that is quite an accolade! Le chalet also had a huge range of beautiful teas with a whole array of fabulous flavours. Watching the flower petals gently open up as if they are blossoming in your drink if, you order the Jasmin fairies tea is a extraordinary added touch and bizarrely quite entertaining. Le Chalet itself has very special vibe and we certainly felt rather relaxed and comfortable during our visit! The layout, spread across two levels, has a bit of balcony feel to it and is spacious, bright and warmly decorated suited to all seasons. The gorgeous chandelier hanging over the lower part adds an exquisite air of class that’s almost breathtaking when you first see it. What gives Le Chalet that bit extra though, is the little one off touches that just simply make you feel good! On the counter there is a little bowl of tiny folded up pieces of paper with a small sign perched above that says take a quote. This little gesture made us leave not only feeling satisfied but, truly inspired and we think that’s a rare accomplishment for a cafe/restaurant! If you haven’t visited yet, you have no idea what you are missing. We are already looking forward to our next visit very much! Le chalet isn’t just the jewel in the crown, it’s the precious Pearl!

An excellent find good choice of breakfasts and drinks. Excellent welcome from the staff and great suggestions on menu choices so will be coming again. A place to explore food knowing all the choices are a safe bet. Encourage others to try before it proves too popular again

Unique restaurant. Food was served hot and fresh. Very tasty vegetarian breakfast for myself and a gluten free salmon crepes for my partner. Staff were friendly and attentive. No parking as it is the city however easy to get to. Menu has a great selection and a tea menu Would visit again

Absolutely gorgeous selection of cakes, pastries and sandwiches afternoon tea. Visited with a large group for a birthday and the service and staff were amazing. The live music was really lovely and just the cherry on top of the whole experience! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to enjoy finger food as a light lunch, delicious scones, and a lovely atmosphere!

The very rustic feel of the place really will take you to France, interior and general esthetics of the restaurant feel authentic. BUT the food is just the cherry on top will make you drool before you even take a bite, anything with their inhouse baked bread will leave you wanting to come back every morning and so you can spice things up try one of the MANY teas on the menu :)

Eggs Benedict opted for the option of bacon instead of ham with a side of mushrooms. The food was piping hot, eggs runny as I like them and truly delicious. A Cappucino which was also hot and tasted extremely creamy. 😋 service was spot on. Just felt the ambience was not really french as Le Chalet would suggest.

Went for afternoon tea with my friends. Very tasty, especially the salmon sandwiches 😋👌🏻 We got 3 afternoon teas all including 2 sandwiches, 2 cakes, 1 scone and 1 macaron for 18£ pp. Price is on the higher end and not really worth the amount and quality of the food.

Lovely little place for afternoon tea, staff are so friendly and attentive. Booked a table of four for my sisters birthday and they kindly, without even asking, put a candle in her scone and played a happy birthday song. Everyone made us feel so welcome, I would highly recommend

Mill Kitchen & Bakery, located in a converted textiles mill, exudes charm with its exposed brickwork and vintage furniture. The menu features a delightful twist on rustic breakfast dishes such as Mexican breakfast, shakshuka, and halloumi & sun-dried tomatoes on toast. Traditional favorites like the full English and cheesy beans on house-baked sourdough are also available. This Leeds gem celebrates local produce and serves breakfast all day, offering options like eggs florentine and power waffles.
Really great cafe, serving freshly made food to a very high standard. The bakery part is so good, the vegan pastries are brilliant, the vegan pain au chocolat worth travelling for alone. The coffee is great too. Its always busy, but they service is really quick, highly recommend

Cozy place for fresh coffee and food! Spacious but with lots of seats both inside and out. Different brunch menus then your typical 'go to' might serve but very tasty and would definitely eat again. Jake was very attentive to our baby and made everyone feel welcome. I had the salt and pepper hash with extra halloumi (see picture) with an iced speciality coffee

I recently visited Mill Kitchen in Farsley and was absolutely blown away! I had two slices of sourdough topped with homemade beans, cheddar cheese and spring onion the flavours were amazing, and the sourdough was incredibly fresh and delicious. The staff were also very welcoming. I’d love to go back and try some of their breakfast and brunch dishes as they looked really tasty.

Lovely place for food and drinks. The bakery section looked fabulous too. We had a breakfast which was amazing. Good to see homemade baked beans and quality produce. Staff very friendly and efficient. Great atmosphere too. Lovely decor. Very clean and everything was well presented. Wide range of food and drinks available. Outside seating too.

There's a good brunch range and bakery and the cafe is lovely and light inside. However for me, the prices are quite expensive for the size of portion. I got one slice of sourdough with some brie and grapes on it and it cost me £9.50. Also, when it's busy, it's almost impossible to have a conversation without shouting as it's so noisy inside. Like so many places these days, there are zero sound absorption materials or soft furnishings, so not a good place if you have someone in your group hard of hearing.
Elz — Google review
Fantastic place for lunch. The cafe is heaving so they are doing something right. We had a Moroccan dish and mushrooms on sourdough. 2 flat whites ( top marks 😀) Service was speedy but super friendly. We took away an enormous slab of carrot cake as well. Delicious. Keep doing what you're doing. Shame that I live in Northumberland or I'd be here every week!!

My partner and I went in for Sunday Brunch. Wonderful food, lovely smiling service, and a cute British small village feel. With a wide variety on the menu and drinks list, you’re sure to find something you’ll enjoy. Took a chance & tried the “Kim Chi pancakes” and they were FANTASTIC! Please tell the chef that was a wonderful and unique creation and tasted Excellent ! A great place to visit with friends, pop in for a quick bite to eat, stay and work from your laptop, bring your dog. Very friendly atmosphere.

the “truffle bacon mushroom HASH” was just a plate of halved new potatoes covered in truffle smelling grease, with 3 confetti sized bits of bacon for £11 - outrageous. Kids liked the pancakes, but 2 small pancakes for £5.50 I’d argue is over priced. good coffee

Nestled in the heart of Horsforth, Pooky's Deli & Cafe is a delightful independent spot that beckons food lovers with its impressive selection of gourmet treats. This charming deli showcases an array of artisan products sourced from across the UK, including buttery Scottish shortbread and mouthwatering chocolate bars. Their curated hampers, like the Spanish Brindisa Collection and Yorkshire Lover Hamper, are perfect for gifting or indulging yourself.
Was the perfect cafe, got met with a very friendly welcome thanks to the staff. She was so bubbly and made the experience a lot more enjoyable. Secondly the food was amazing, got the sausage roll and pork pie which were top tier especially when warm. Then for the breakfast we got these 2 amazing dishes which were presented well and was worth the money! Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a chill morning to do some work or just have a catch up. Especially since you can grab something from the deli if you get hungry as you leave!

The cafe is lovely and the staff seem very friendly. The breakfast was good although my poached eggs weren't even warm, however my friend was very happy with her choice of food. I chose not to say anything about the food being cold as it was incredibly busy and the wait time was a lot longer than expected. We also bought some goodies from the little deli too. All in all, I would go back and try again.

First visit on a Monday afternoon having driven passed for ages and wanting to visit. Cute cafe and deli offerings. Lunch menu is varied, but also manageable and filling portions for a light lunch. I bought 2 slices of cake to take awake, which went down well. Would like to visit for breakfast as well since other reviewers mentioned the poached eggs.

As a regular at this fabulous local establishment, I sincerely can’t recommend it enough. If you haven’t yet tried it, then it’s a must. From excellent coffee, with fabulous poached eggs, avacado and bacon on toast with some sriracha sauce on toast, to some amazing lunch time options both healthy and for those who wish to be more indulgent! They also have a wonderful deli and and a variety of unique wines to take away. 5 star review from me!! Here’s one of the team making me a special coffee today.

I was keen to get a hamper to my son and his wife to celebrate the birth their first child. At very short notice, Anna put together an amazing hamper and delivered it promptly. All in all it was a fabulous customer service experience. I would highly recommend.

Cosy and calming environment, tasty coffee and incredible almond croissants! I came in wanting to buy a few things as a gift for somebody and despite being busy, staff members were extremely kind in assisting me and taking the time to help me decide what items to buy (so much to choose from and all very high quality). Thank you so much, I know where to return for my charcuterie needs and almond croissant cravings :)

Called in for a light lunch. We've never used this delivery/cafe and it caught our eye when we drove past. All the staff are lovely and friendly. It was busy when we called in and was lucky to get a spare table. Our sandwiches were perfect with tasty ham and good quality cheese. The coffees were lovely and hot too (the coffee blend just suited our palettes - strong but not bitter.) We will certainly call in again if we pass. Only downfall was the parking but it's worth the walk.

Cha Lounge is a charming and ethical cafe and bar located in central Leeds, offering a relaxed atmosphere and a rustic setting. It is popular among families for its excellent Little Ones menu featuring various breakfast options at affordable prices. The cafe's zero-waste approach adds to its warm and welcoming vibe, with a focus on serving seriously good food and drinks. The menu includes sumac-roasted tomatoes that can be topped with eggs or bacon, as well as vegetarian options.
What a great place to eat! It’s warm, it’s cosy and the food is amazing! Our lunch of sandwiches was very tasty and the portions very generous. Good gf and vegetarian options on the very comprehensive menu. Close by there was a large party of people of all ages having the most sumptuous of meals with so many different cakes, pastries and sandwiches-a veritable feast! A nice touch was the arrival of my pot of tea together with an egg timer set to run out as the perfect brew point was reached. Lots of seating options including settees. I as Leo liked the idea of being able to order and pick up groceries. This is definitely somewhere that I will visit again; highly recommended!

A Pleasant and Relaxing Spot Environment The café has a warm and inviting atmosphere, with tasteful decoration and a charming variety of chairs and tables that give it character. Large windows allow in plenty of natural light, and its location on a quiet street adds to the relaxed setting. Food and Drink There’s a wide range of food and coffee options available, offering the variety you’d expect from a good café. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available, which is a welcome touch. The prices for coffee are particularly reasonable, making it great value. Service The staff were kind and welcoming, striking a good balance between attentiveness and giving space. Their friendly manner made me feel at ease and added to the overall enjoyable experience. Overall A lovely place for a peaceful break or a catch-up with friends. I’d be happy to visit again.

Afternoon tea, normal finger sandwiches, sausage roll, lovely scones, v sweet cakes. Of all the afternoon teas we've been to, this has the least food for 2. Stopped in here on a sunny Saturday and the atmosphere was nice and chill with the full length window open. Staff are super friendly and really helpful. We ordered the samosas but as we got there close to closing, we were told the last ones left were not perfect and offered us them smashed and mixed with the sauces and veg as a chaat, it was amazing! The eggs and salmon tasted super fresh and the daal was delicious. Loved the fact that on the menu needs I told you about all the ingredients came from. And of course we could not leave out the amazing chocolate flapjack 🤤🤤 and great drinks. Will certainly be returning and recommending.

If ever there is a friendly neighbourhood cafe where everyone knows your name and treats you like a rockstar, Cha Lounge is it. The cafe has eclectic and warm décor that makes you feel like you've transported into another world. The menu has such a nice variety, and they cater to a variety of dietary needs. You just need to tell them and they will personalise any dish for you. They also have an impressive amount of loose leaf chas to try, so there's every reason to keep going back for more. During lockdown, Cha Lounge came through in supporting the local community by organising fresh veg boxes and groceries for those who wanted to buy local or were sceptical of going to supermarkets. Later, they expanded to afternoon and cream tea sets that were perfect for date night or picnics. Once I bought a veg box from them, I couldn't go back to a box chain supermarket anymore. Dining-wise, I cannot recommend their brunch highly enough. You can taste that their ingredients are high quality and fresh. My niblings especially love Gemma's pancakes. We have also gone to a few of their curry nights which we thought was very delicious. If you're ever in Dock Street, do pop in and say hi, even if all you're getting is a takeaway cha.

I love a good quality breakfast and I’m so happy to have found this place. It’s now my goto place for breakfast when I’m in Leeds. Every item was cooked to perfection, those tomatoes were the most flavoursome tomatoes I’ve ever tasted. The scrambled egg was seasoned just right. The owner Mandeep so super friendly and welcoming. It’s clearly run by a team who are passionate about making good food and providing a nice place to eat it in. I would highly recommend this place to anyone stopping in Leeds. I will return again 100% Thanks again for a great breakfast.

The Cha Lounge is a new establishment based on healthy eating and ethical food sourcing. It is small, rustic and relaxing. There are hot and cold beverages, freshly prepared with no or minimal processing of ingredients. There are both hot and cold foods and plenty of vegetarian options. Many of the options are snack or street type foods especially Indian. The premises are very clean as are the washroom facilities. A great place to just drop in, enjoy a light meal and or a drink.

Nice place. Very friendly stuff. Good choice of food with many choices for vegan people. Soup of the day different everyday. The breakfast was not extraordinarily good, but it did its job. I like the way they manage the place, although their hours are difficult to follow. Good Wi-Fi connection and relaxed mood. I'll probably come back from time to time.

Went here for the Belta breakfast. Soda bread, sausages, eggs were delicious, and who knew beans could taste so good?! Bacon was crispy, which isn't my thing but appreciate most other people don't share my view on this one. The rosties were also great. Black pud and tomato were as I would normally expect Overall excellent service, great food and the English Breakfast tea was really nice. Proper leaf tea as well, no tea bags here! Not cheap but then this isn't a transport cafe and they clearly invest in great ingredients. I would say worth the money as you pay for the quality here. Parking is fine if you are not from the area and need to drive. I parked at the co-op opposite. You get 2 hours free.

Rosie and her team were very friendly and helpful. We ordered dirty fries, fries, southern fried chicken, bacon, siracha mayo, cheesey sauce, spring onions, and gherkins , also build your own sandwich, 2 slices of bacon, 2 sausages, 2 fried eggs, a few leaves on artisan bread. The food was delicious, capaccino, and loose leaf tea , give them a try.

Always good food and drink, high quality and staff are excellent. A real asset to the local community and the Chapel Allerton bar scene. Adam one of the hardest working owners in the business and all the staff are the heart and soul of the place. Breakfasts are banging and even more so are good for fussy eaters like me as you can essentially build your own sandwiches.

Went for breakfast on Sunday got the Belta Breakfast x2, Tea and Hot Chocolate. I was really looking forward to this place as heard good things and also watched the rate my takeaway review.. The Sausages were average nothing special, I think they were undercooked and had no taste, I've had better sausages from Tesco.. At least use Cumberland sausages. mushrooms were dry, think they cooked in oil rather then butter., Bacon was not tasty, the Poached eggs were not great either.. the 2 good things were the beans and onion rosti which both were nice but that's it. Tea they used to fresh loose tea leaves.. I thought for the price of the breakfast Tea or coffee would be included. My nephew also said the hot chocolate tasted powdery water and wasn't great.. He was also not impressed with the breakfast. The owner is a nice guy and his service was good. Unfortunately for the price I don't think it was worth it. I waved once at a female staff behind the bar, to catch their attention, she looked at me then turned around and started eating and completely ignored me.. Her shift may not have started but she could have got the attention of another person that was working which I thought was quite rude. They should use better quality products for the price. We've had better breakfasts at places like Country Crust on Scott Hall Rd. I wish those guys opened on a Sunday. I'm sure Bricklebanks will do well. Unfortunately I wouldn't come back for the belta breakfast other things on their menu might be better which I have not tried.. Price - £39.75 Food - 2/5 Atmosphere 3/5 Service 2/5

"Should Have Gone to Greggs!" I was torn with the review title, the other option was "Best Served Cold" What a total dissapointment. If Mom wasnt with us I would have refused the 4 breakfasts. When arriving we were told that the Hollandaise sauce wasnt yet ready ruling out half of the breakfast options. So a Regualr Breakfast, Streaky bacons thats more fat than bacon without the fat being rendered down, a flavourless catering sausage and a poached egg with a semi set yolk, A bit of crispy stale sourdough toast and a pot of beans. All Served COLD on a cold plate, not even warm we are talking room temperature food, not even capable of softening the butter. Now onto the famous Bricklbanks beans Take 1 tin of mixed smart price beans Add to 1 tin on smart price chopped tomatoes Add 1 jar of Shwartz garlic granules Stir well and serve (no cooking required!) Danny Mailin (Rate My Takeaway) you must have got VIP treatment as the food is fit for the bin. The Cappucino looked okay, but was very poor. The good bits? The Waitress was friendly and did get the food reserved (probably enjoyed a quick blast in the microwave) And the Roast tomato was really good! Well the half of a tomato at least. We will not be back and genuinley Greggs would have been a much better option all round..

Fluffy Fluffy Leeds is a popular spot known for its Japanese souffle pancakes, which are cooked at a low temperature to achieve their signature jiggle. With nine topping options like cookies and cream or Nutella and banana, there's something to satisfy every craving. The fluffy texture of the pancakes lives up to the name, and customers recommend booking ahead due to wait times. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is exceptional.
Fluffy fluffy pancakes are very light and yet jiggly. Very soft with airy texture make each bite even more delicious. The drinks are also very delicious with the right level of sweetness. We had ice matcha and hot latte. The shop is very simple yet stylish, cozy and clean. The staff are very welcoming. Definitely would recommend.

Amazing, fluffy, soft and yummy panckes, a must try! I would skip the drinks. Be prepared to wait for some time as the service is very slow, especially when it gets busy. Overall it took us over 40mins between queuing, ordering and receiving the pancakes.

Fluffy fluffy does great soufle pancakes and croffles. We've been there a couple of times now and its perfect for sweet cravings at nights. I, personally, prefer croffles more however, the last time we went there it was a bit cold and almost undercooked in the middle. Having said that, the toppings are so good that any mistakes are forgivable. The chocolate ice cream is divine too and definitely worth coming back for.

Please, please, please - don’t consider renting or buying here. What was once heralded as a bright new development in south Leeds is now a dump. The building has fallen into disrepair with dirty communal areas, an unsafe and filthy gym, horrible smells and lack of ventilation. Extractor / air cooling systems haven’t worked for years. Energy prices are sky high and remain a problem with no option to transfer to a different provider. Theft is common with the lack of security or effective concierge meaning parcels and post are lifted from the main reception area. Theft building is frequently accessed by non residents - pot smoking youths wandering around and the occasional prostitute shouting obscenities from the communal gym toilets. It’s a horrible horrible place.
Tasha L — Google review
The access to public transport and shopping centres is excellent, and it includes free WiFi. However, there’s a noticeable smell inside the flats that isn’t very pleasant.
Asal M — Google review
Would not recommend living here! Cars repeatedly get broken into in the underground car park, the outside car park and the street - the building is a target. The building security is awful, never get anything delivered here as parcels are also regularly stolen with there being no locker unit, letter boxes also are broken into. Within the year of living here we saw graffiti on walls, homeless people sleeping in corridors, had 2 cars smashed into and our flat was infested with roaches from the day we got there. Our landlord was lovely, the concierge is lovely and is constantly trying to fix things but the building security was awful so we moved out after a year.
Paige B — Google review
Previous review was taken down! I currently live here unfortunately. Building is an absolute lie. It is not safe, vehicles broken into in the “safe and secure” underground car park, homeless people breaking in and sleeping in the corridors. Building looks lovely but is not practical. Heating doesn’t work, lifts are broken every week. Car park gates and doors broken. Advertised as an eco building yet the bills ridiculously high. I would not recommend this building to anyone!!
Georgia M — Google review
The apartments are spacious and the amenities are quite nice. (Commenting on a 3 double bed apartment) However, the bills were extremely high and the heating barely worked as there was a problem with the building heating system. Also, no one provided info on how to maintain the wooden worktops but that is also down to the agency we went with I assume.
Meggie C — Google review
DO NOT MOVE HERE! This building sells a lie of “eco-utopia” Worst place I have ever lived. Sky high bills, freezing indoor temperatures in the winter, neglect of residents during cladding replacement, lifts never work, terrible location.
Alice B — Google review
I currently live here. The front door keeps getting broken. My bike was stolen from the locked racks in the garage. The utilities are outrageously expensive despite being a “green” building, and the utility company and building management company don’t really care that it’s high. Furniture needed to be removed from lobby due to kids breaking the door and loitering in the hall. I wish it was being managed better. Jimmy and Michelle do an amazing job given what they have to work with but the building is falling apart and the utilities will bankrupt you. The Cafe will open on October. The gym is good. The building is great otherwise.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful breakfast experience in Leeds, Galleria is a must-visit spot. Nestled within Project House, this chic all-day restaurant opens its doors at 8 am, serving up fresh pastries and invigorating North Star coffee. By 9 am, their full breakfast menu comes to life with tempting options like Turkish eggs with nduja butter and fluffy blueberry pancakes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds.
I had breakfast at Galleria and it was amazing! I ordered the Turkish eggs and the three cheese hashbrown with eggs, i highly recommend trying them! The atmosphere is very cozy and they even have an outdoor area which is perfect during the summer. Overall it was a very nice experience, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Love love LOVE it!! One of the best place for coffee and brunch in Leeds. They have a great food menu. We ordered the hash brown smoked salmon and the aubergine parmesan and they were delicious and beautifully presented. We literally came next day to get the turkish eggs, which were amazing too. The ambient is also great, not too crowded or noisy. It’s just 15 mins walk from the train station, and I’d definitely recommend it! They have parking too

Just had to leave a review for Galleria! Such a good spot. The food is delicious, the staff is super friendly, and the vibe is just great. Had a delicious cappuccino and an amazing croissant, too. Highly recommend

Really enjoyed our visit to Galleria. The lamb skewer was cooked perfectly and full of flavour, and the banana split was a brilliant way to finish the meal. Friendly service and a lovely atmosphere definitely worth a visit.
Gary B — Google review
Been twice now, food is amazing , will be returning to try more of the menu. The flatbreads are a must. Tried the Turkish eggs and steak and eggs so far , both so tasty.
Leanne B — Google review
My second visit (first was good) second not at all. I sat outside wanting to read my book on a nice day. Went in to order was told I had to have my drink in a takeaway mug and they were only doing takeaway flatbreads. Outside were lots of people outside with lovely plates and mugs, eating getting things brought out to them and I had to wait inside, eat from a box and a takeaway cup for £14.50 the same price as if I'd have had the service and enjoyment as everyone else. When I asked if I could have my drink in a mug I was told no because they were having issues with their booking system, makes no sense to me as all. I came here to treat myself and really wished I'd gone somewhere else. I felt so upset and weirdly treated. So disappointed and felt really poorly treated and singled out especially as I was visiting on my own. I won't be recommending to my friends to come back as the atmosphere and service this time around was not friendly or welcoming. I also cannot believe how poor this chicken wrap was for £11!!!

The Savvy Baker is back with their popular pancakes for another year, available for dine-in or takeout on Pancake Day from 12-9pm. Choose from classic options like lemon and sugar or Nutella, or try something unique like Kinder, white chocolate, or Biscoff. Their postal box delivery received rave reviews for its presentation and delicious treats. Customers also praised their Oreo and Mars brownies as the best they've ever had.
I bought a box of 4 brownies from a stall at a local event and I can say that they were by far the best brownies/blondies that I have ever tasted! These guys were sent from heaven and they definitely have secured a new customer for life!

Bought a box of 4 brownies from the pop up at White Rose. Very disappointed, brownies were very hard, warmed them for about ten seconds and still tasted old and stale. There’s deffo better tasting brownies in Leeds I’d skip next time.

Ordered a postal box and did not regret it!! Considering I live over 102 miles away, what was delivered to me was not only well presented and perfectly packaged but looked as amazing as it does online, and tasted even better! Great selection and delicious treats. 100% would recommend and I 100% will be ordering again, absolute fabulous baker and company to order from, thank you very much!

I had very high expectations of this place after seeing it on Instagram. We went last weekend for my sisters birthday and got take out coffees and brownies. The white chocolate one was lovely, however the corn flake brownie was such a disappointment! It was very dry and seemed old? Not what I had in mind for this place!

Tharavadu is a renowned Keralan restaurant located in Leeds, offering a modern dining experience with traditional Indian cuisine. The restaurant has been recommended by the Michelin guide for three consecutive years and is known for its authentic Keralan dishes. The menu features a variety of options including meat, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes. With floor-to-ceiling windows and polished wood floors, the venue provides a contemporary setting to enjoy South Indian flavors.
Fantastic food, flavours i've never experienced before. Excellent service. Upstairs can be a bit loud with large groups dining, conversation was difficult at times but didn't spoil our enjoyment of a wonderful meal. Next time i'll request a quieter table downstairs though.

What an amazing experience. I loved the food so much, some of the best Indian food I’ve ever eaten! The vegan options are really good- their take on poppadoms are so tasty and the fried lentil rings are unlike anything I’ve ever had before. Can’t wait to go back!

We went here for the first time after contemplating for long but oh my, the food was top level👌👌 We ordered two Kerala parathas, Meen Kootan, Kozhi Kurumulog(Chef’s Special) and it was more than enough for three people. I personally loved Chef’s special more than Meen Kootan but my friends really loved Meen Kootan. We also ordered mango lassi and Pranaya Rasam(strawberries with lime) and I really loved the fresh strawberries taste in it instead of having some syrupy taste to it. Service was so good, the people over there are so smiling, very sweet, and a person named Roni served us and he was so friendly and very attentive. Would recommend going again as well. Thank you.

Came here on a friends recommendation and no regrets! The service was friendly and prompt, even seating is earlier than we had booked due to heavy rain outside which was nice! The food was excellent, every mouthful just made me smile, I had the seafood curry and it was spot on. Certainly be back! My only quibble was the seating we had was near the toilets and the washroom for pots, quite noisy and busy with staff moving in and out.

Amazing staff! Even though the place was packed with customers, everyone was attended to with such genuine smiles and great energy. As for the food , I don’t even need to say much! The crowd spoke for itself. truly lived up to the hype. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy real, delicious Kerala cuisine served with warmth and hospitality!

Visited on a bustling Monday, and it’s easy to see why it was packed! The authentic Kerala cuisine was absolutely phenomenal, with a spice blend that brought incredible depth and flavour to every dish. While it’s not the cheapest, the quality makes it worth every penny. Highly recommend for a true taste of Kerala, definitely different from the mainstream.

tharavadu in leeds is a south indian restaurant specialising in dishes from kerala. it’s a great spot if you’re looking for something different from the usual north indian or pakistani/punjabi style cuisine you normally find in the uk. we tried chilli paneer, kerala kozhi curry, kozhi kurumulag, vazhuthananga curry, and paper masala dosa. overall, it was great. i really enjoyed trying proper kerala dishes. the curries were delicious though i felt there wasn’t a huge amount of variation between them, all with a similar coconut taste. the cocktails and drinks were very good, and the service was excellent, with staff who were friendly and helpful. coined the “best restaurant in leeds”. a very grand statement to make, especially as leeds is full of amazing spots. however i do believe that tharavadu is definitely up there with the greats of leeds. i really recommend you go and see for yourself.

Brasserie
Browns Leeds is a classic British brasserie and bar that offers a grand cafe setting, serving both classic and seasonal dishes along with signature cocktails. The chain has been around since 1973 and is known for its venues housed in unique landmark buildings with rich historical significance. Their gluten-free menu features a variety of high-quality seasonal dishes made from fresh ingredients.
Always love coming to Browns, I’ve been visiting for years. Love the decor, the vintage feel of the place and the food is AMAZING. Sometimes the service can be a little slow, the waitresses can be seen standing around having a gossip when you might need them, but they’re very friendly and good at their job. Had brunch today and it was so good - can’t recommend the pancakes enough 🥞

The food was exceptional, it was beautifully presented and delicious. Our server, Steaven, provided outstanding service; his recommendations were spot-on, and his humor added a delightful touch to our meal. Additionally, the efficiency of the kitchen was amazing, as all our courses arrived promptly. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience that I highly recommend.

The afternoon tea was an absolute delight—elegantly presented, with a perfect balance of sweet and savoury treats. Each bite was beautifully crafted, and the scones were warm, fluffy, and paired wonderfully with clotted cream and jam. The tea selection was impressive, with rich, aromatic blends that complemented the food perfectly. What truly made the experience exceptional, however, was Darcey. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making everyone feel special. Her charm and grace elevated the whole afternoon. It’s rare to find such impeccable service matched with such quality fare. A truly memorable and lovely experience.

We dine regularly at Brown's all around the country, this was our first time at the Leeds restaurant. Service was a bit slow and the food not of the usual standard we experience at others in the chain. Perhaps just an off night for them, so will give a 2nd chance another day

Me and my friend had a last minute meal, with no booking. Ousoumana swatted us to our table and was very welcoming. Bella was our waitress and gave lots of recommendations, to help us choose. Mat was very supportive when we had a problem with my payment card. All round great service and I we will definitely be back.

We recently visited here for family gathering. Booked online for table for 8 people (deposits required). It was Thursday evening and very quiet. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and drinks. The fillet steak and salad here are always great. They also care about the allergy so my family can eat very comfortably. We also tried some cakes from here last time and me and my husband absolutely loved it. It looked pretty and tasted really good. One negative point is that they often take relatively long time to serve our drinks and they sometimes forget our drink orders (it’s not only once it happened before too). Anyway, we will come back for sure if we have any special occasions.
K H — Google review
Enjoyed a pleasant lunch in what was a very quiet restaurant. Our favourite Browns in Manchester is located in a lovely building (ex Victorian bank) whereas Leeds is not so distinctive. We tried the 'early bird' 3 course menu which was both delicious and very reasonable, Service was a little slow, especially considering how quiet it was, but not to the extent of spoiling our enjoyment. Overall we enjoyed our meal without experiencing the sumptuous feeling that Manchester provides.

Angelica & Crafthouse is a stylish and modern brasserie located on the sixth floor of Trinity Leeds, offering panoramic city views from its wraparound terrace. The glass-walled restaurant features a small terrace menu with delectable options like chargrilled tiger prawns, roasted garlic arancini, and a charcuterie board.
On the sixth floor of the Trinity arcade shopping centre. The two additional flights of stairs are well worth it. Fantastic views of Leeds. A wide range of cocktails and a few beer options thrown in make it a great place to stop by if you are close. I opted for the Pinky Promise cocktail, surprisingly came with candy floss.

We had a great bottomless brunch last week! I had to leave a review just because every single member of staff were so great! From bar to the runner staff and management, they really made the afternoon lovely and we will definitely be returning because they were so attentive and pleasant.

We have been here quite a few times now and like to visit on a Thursday or Friday afternoon before the weekend crowds descend on the City centre. On our last visit we ordered a selection of nibbles to put us on and I think the choices we made were perfect . We especially liked the cod cheeks. John doesn't like Oysters but I couldn't resist the offer that they had on of 6 Lindisfarne Oysters and 2 glasses of @nyetimber for £34. The oysters were the biggest I have ever seen and they were yummy. Angelica's has a great happy hour that is actually 4 hours long. My favourite was the frozen pina colada and John opted for the frozen strawberry daiquiri. It's so nice to sit outside on the rooftop terrace and it's not a problem if it's a little chilly as there are heaters under the parasols.

Noticed this place by accident looking through the roof of the Trinity shopping centre. What a lovely time we had. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. I loved the chilled out music. Excellent service from Charlotte and amazing food. I had fillet steak which was cooked just how I like it and was very tender and tasty. Will definitely be going back again.

What a fantastic place for a summer’s afternoon! Sat outside with the views is the perfect retreat from the city bustle and the planes passing overhead add a nice yet unobtrusive mix to the environment. Decor is brilliant, staff are super friendly and helpful and everywhere is clean. The menu choice is varied, with prices not too ridiculous, and they are willing to make up drinks not listed on the menu. It’d be difficult to ‘stumble’ across this place, but if you’re looking for some nice relaxing drinks in a sophisticated setting I’d highly recommend navigating the crowds below to visit.

A really fantastic bar, great food, and incredible service from staff. The host is always warm and welcoming, as are the wait staff. I finally went in here for lunch today, and really pleased I did. Exceptionally impressed with the quality of the food, the value and the friendliness of the team. The red curry was perfect, as was the fried squid. Very generous portion sizes too. Will return and highly recommend.

This has to be one of my favourite Thai food place to eat. The food is properly made and delicious. Your food also comes out looking like the pictures on the menue. The staff are so friendly, good customer service and does it all with a smile. The food are fairly priced and I'd say worth every buck. It's a good spot for a group or birthday dinner. Just tell them the occasion, brace yourself for a Thai birthday drums and song if you're celebrating. It gets busy most times, but most times you get seated less than 5 minutes 🤞 Definitely coming back.

I love this restaurant. The atmosphere is amazing, the decor imitates a Bangkok market. Loved it in here. The food was okay. I really liked the squid pad nam prik pao, this was very tasty. The Bangkok platter is also a great sharing platter. The service was very good and the drinks are great. I just can’t get over the decor and atmosphere. It’s really worth a visit!!

We go here all the time, really really busy on a Sunday evening and i love to see it, we ordered a red curry and the creamier sibling to the red curry, they both tasted the same sadly, literally had no difference in taste, the chicken was off and had a really bad taste, we notified a member of staff who told us all the chicken is fresh, we didn't eat, we paid and left. Maybe they were having an off day but i couldn't go back again after that.
Juwel — Google review
Vibrant Thai street-style restaurant with such a fun atmosphere, there’s even a Tuk Tuk you can sit at as a dining table, Thai music playing, and Thai chefs cooking away in the open kitchen. It really feels like stepping into a Bangkok night market, lively and authentic. The menu has a great range of options - noodles, rice dishes, curries, and snacks, all at mid range prices, making it a solid choice for dinner. We tried: • Thai prawn crackers: Slightly spicy, a nice starter though a little pricey. • Gang Kiew Wan: Creamy with coconut milk, mildly spicy, packed with flavor. Tender chicken and perfect with rice, highly recommended! • Pad Thai Moo Krob: Dry fried noodles with a sweet sour balance, made extra tasty with pork belly and crispy pork skin. • Tom Yum Seafood: Requested mild spice, great balance of sour and spicy, full of prawns, mussels, and squid. Delicious with rice. • Watermelon Fruit Shake: Refreshing, just the right sweetness, perfect to cool down the spice. And also the Thai beer! Overall, Zaap is the best Thai food I’ve had so far in the UK. If you’re in Leeds and looking for authentic flavors at reasonable prices, this spot is a must visit! 🆗 Thai prawn crackers 🆗 Pad Thai Moo Krob 👍🏻 Gang Kiew Wan 👍🏻 Tom Yum Seafood 👍🏻 Watermelon Fruit Shake

Bundobust Leeds is a casual craft beer bar that offers a menu of Indian street food in a laid-back setting with bare brick walls and wooden benches. The venue, a collaboration between the owner of Bradford's The Sparrow and the chef from West Yorkshire's Gujarati restaurant Prashad, boasts a street-food vibe, DIY decor, and an impressive selection of craft beers.
The food was really excellent. We got a sharing-meal for three or four people. Can’t remember exactly but there was plenty of food and lots of variety in the dishes. Would probably visit Leeds again just to go here! The tables could be a bit bigger considering so many people get sharing meals!

I really enjoyed the flavors and creativity in the dishes, everything was tasty and well-prepared. However, I found the portion sizes a bit on the smaller side, and the seasoning was slightly heavy, especially the salt and MSG. With a few adjustments, it could be even better. Still, a unique and enjoyable dining experience overall.

“Shall we pop in here or get the next train?” Wow did we make the right choice were head No off to India in a couple of months so I joked it would be good practice. It’s actually a culinadelight of mini street food style dishes that blow ur mind. I really wished we lived in Leeds so we could visit more often! Every time we are in town Budobust is always top of the list of our places to visit. All the food is amazing. My favourite is the panneer tikka and my wife's is the bundo chaat. This visit was just a quick pit stop on our way for the train so just a quick snack but we will definitely be back soon!

This place is absolutely brilliant. We moved to Leeds about six months ago, and pretty much everyone we met told us we had to try Bundobust. After finally going, we now feel a bit foolish for waiting so long!— It’s not your typical Indian restaurant. The vibe is relaxed and informal, and the food is something else — creative, exciting, and packed with flavours we’d never tried before. It’s all vegetarian (with loads of vegan options too), but trust me, you won’t miss the meat. Dishes like the Palak Koftas and Mung Bean Chatpata were total standouts. One of the best parts is that everything is designed to share, so we were able to try loads of different dishes between the three of us. The whole experience felt and different, not your standard curry night out. And if you're into beer, you're in luck — Bundobust also doubles as a great little beer spot. There’s a solid range, from crisp lagers to punchy IPAs, and even a proper bitter. My partner loved their twist on a radler — a shandy made with spiced Indian lemonade. Oh, and did I mention the value? Three of us absolutely stuffed ourselves (with drinks!) for £20 a head. Can’t argue with that. Bottom line: if you’re in Leeds and haven’t been to Bundobust yet, don’t wait like we did — just go.

This is a find for me First time visitor to Leeds and was recommended this is nice and cheap So walked in and basically jt js branded as street food but I don’t think I have been to any part of india where some of there are sold as steeet food You pick a table and walk in and order and some food is cheap and place is full of students so I felt out The food tasted ok and I like the atmosphere Maybe as a place to try and whilst this is a vegetarian place it is ok I may not go again there

Absolute garbage food. But then again I am not a vegan. If you are and this is what you eat, bless you. We went as a group so wasn't bothered about the food, I was there for the chats, we did order but it was horrible food. Very pricey too, you'd think that the price would be for the value

Modern British restaurant
Ox Club is an award-winning restaurant located in Leeds city center, known for its grill cooking and elevated comfort food. The menu features a mix of à la carte, prix fixe, and brunch options with bold and creative dishes such as English asparagus with smoked lamb bacon and cornish sardines with vine leaves.
Heard about the steak and fries offer for £16 so thought we’d check it out. Steak is done perfectly to my requested liking, generous portion of chips and their in house made butter complements the meal perfectly. We also got it with peppercorn sauce which was well made and perfectly seasoned. Service is good too. First time I came for this and would come again for this deal and possibly to try other things on the menu! Very naturalistic interior and chilled atmosphere too.

Best British food I’ve ever had! I love all the sauces, seasoning was on point! Their menu changes too. Didn’t have to prebook if you come 6pm, I guess it’s early dinner, plenty seats. Great service, waiter gave good recommendations and very friendly, enjoyed our time there very much. My favourite was the ox heart with oyster sauce, it was an interesting texture that almost didn’t taste like heart (I’ve had chicken heart before) and the oyster sauce was creamy with a hint of oyster, I really enjoy the natural flavour of the ingredients, they were paired and chosen well. The mutton kofta itself was a bit tough and salty and in my opinion would’ve been better medium rare. The cherry tomatoes came with it were the best I’ve had, juicy and good balance of sweet and sour. The medium rare steak with pepper sauce was great too, we ordered fries on the side. Again the pepper sauce was excellent, it had a spicy kick to it, I’d buy all of their sauces. Steak was done well too. The basque cheesecake was ok, standard good cake, not too sweet.

Came for a special occasion, was great to go to Headrow house for some drinks before hand. Waiters gave good recommendations for food and made it feel really special. The steak and chips deal was delicious, it was clear that despite being one of the cheapest dishes this did not have an impact on the quality. Would definitely recommend.

Really cool vibe in the restaurant. The menu is pretty limited and for £90 I don’t think we received enough steak for our money. The bread is insanely good and everything was tasty. Service was average and they do make a good negroni but I don’t think this warranted a £20 service charge.

I was actually shocked at how badly they managed to do the most famous Spanish dish, the padrón peppers. The skin wasn’t even cooked through, seasoning was way too salty. Took one bite and sent it back. When the waiter asked what was wrong, we told her this just isn’t how it’s supposed to be done. She shrugged and said “well, that’s padrón peppers.” We were speechless. Look, I’m no chef, but I’ve had them in Spain and this was nothing alike. As for the steak, which I assume is meant to be their signature, it wasn’t anywhere near as tender or high quality as I expected. I’ve seen their Instagram photos and I’ll give credit, whoever took those pictures is seriously talented, because the real thing is miles off. The vibe inside is decent, I’ll admit, good for a date spot, but the food was honestly poor. If you think this is the best you’ve had, maybe you just haven’t had proper food before. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but that’s the truth. And when we left, not even a goodbye from the staff. Guess they just can’t handle criticism.😅 And let’s be real, if you’re charging that kind of money, the dishes need to live up to the price tag. They absolutely didn’t. Terrible experience, won’t be coming back. Oh, and to make it worse, this was me and my partner’s two-year anniversary dinner. Couldn’t have been more disappointing.

So good that we travel from our home in Leicester for Sunday roast here. Also went to the recent 10 course tasting menu, both meals were, as ever, outstanding. The service also matches the quality of the food. Cannot speak highly enough of either. Thanks to all at the Ox Club for treating us so well.

Bar
Nestled in the vibrant Kirkgate Market, Manjit's Kitchen has evolved from a humble food truck to a beloved eatery on Kirkstall Road. This lively spot is adorned with bright interiors and features a chalkboard menu brimming with authentic Indian street food delights. The star of the show is undoubtedly the chilli paneer wrap, bursting with perfectly balanced spices at an unbeatable price.
Sensational thali - ordered in the midst of a lunchtime rush hour (12:30) and was served quickly. Ordered the thali for £7.50 and was blown away, tasted lovely, roti nice and fresh and rice was delicious. Really loved the fruit and veg in the salad too, really homely feel to everything they do. Will definitely be back!

Tucked away in the Market Kitchen, but well worth finding. We had the chilli paneer wrap and onion bhaji. Generous with the fillings, fresh and spicy. Absolutely delicious! Great value too. Thanks ladies!!
Sally C — Google review
Both had the paneer wrap and it was absolutely sensational. Filling, a bit spicy, and freshly made within a matter of minutes. Great for a pit stop lunch.
Ellie S — Google review
Stunning authentic food. I would say some of the best i've ever tasted in this country. Recommend the samosa chat and the dahi puri. Female ran kitchen with absolute Queens smashing it. Top notch!
Sarah — Google review
Heard about the spot from visit leeds page. Wanted to visit them and really enjoyed the food. Tried - samosa chat and masala chai. Really impressed with the flavour of masala chai and samosa chat was on the bit of sweet side which was fair considering the other country people trying it. The service was very good and everything made to order. The location has lot of spaces for dine in and clean chairs and tables. Few things to improve - a proper coffee cup with lid should be given for chai cause the it will allow people for takeaways. Some spots next to the shop needs to be cleaned regularly.

Fantastic and flavourful vegetarian fare. A small but well curated menu offering a range of items to suit all appetites and budgets. Service is friendly and fast with items like the thali being near-instant. The chilli paneer wrap and vada pav are favourites but the rest of the menu is great too. A good range of alcoholic beverages and the lassi is really pleasant. There are lot of good places to eat in the market but this is up there with the best of them. As it's in the market seating can be limited at peak times and it can be quite chilly but that applies to all vendors in there and not just Manjits.

Great food, very affordable, fab onion bhajis
Travel — Google review
Really enjoyed my lunch at Manjit’s Kitchen! The menu is entirely vegetarian which, as a pescatarian, I was really pleased to see. I got the Chilli Paneer Wrap and it was delicious. Worth the £7 and I felt there was a good amount of paneer in there - sometimes when I’ve been elsewhere it feels like they’re trying to use as little as possible and bulk out with salad instead, but certainly not here. The service was also very fast, no queue and I was able to find a seat easily, but I was here on a weekday when things are a little quieter. Definitely want to come back and try some of the other dishes. The menu isn’t huge, but everything sounded fab. They have a selection of drinks both non-alcoholic and alcoholic.

**An Exquisite Breakfast Experience** In my recent culinary exploration, I was delighted to encounter one of the most exceptional breakfast experiences I've had in quite some time. A superb value for money, small cafe tucked away in the streets of headingley. My meal featured savory pancakes that were nothing short of heavenly—meticulously cooked and bursting with flavor. The harmonious blend of rich, salty bacon, melted cheese, and a touch of maple syrup created an exquisite balance on the palate. Accompanying these were perfectly crisp hash browns and savory beans, both of which provided an ideal complement to the dish. My friends ordered a healthy salad & granola which were perfectly made & tasty. While the service was notably efficient, it lacked a certain warmth and friendliness that could have elevated the experience. Nonetheless, the ambiance was pleasant, enhanced by a charming terrace. In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment and eagerly anticipate my next visit.

I don't really know where to start with this review other than saying rate my takeaway lives on a bed of lies. I ordered my food at 13:55 and was imideatly given a delivery time of 14 minutes which promptly went up to 19 minutes, back down to 10 minutes, way back up to 29 minutes then 32 minutes, the delivery time was up and down like a yo-yo until my food arrived at 15:08. I ordered a breakfast in a loaf, some cheesy seasoned fries for my nephew and the peanut butter and chocolate brownie. The breakfast loaf looked fine, until you started eating,to find mediocre ingredients have been used,my nephew wouldn't touch the fries as they were cold and looked like a pile of fake vomit and the brownie looked like the dog poo truffle from American pie the wedding. I am extremely disappointed with this as I spent nearly 30 pounds on this food and was left with a bitter taste in my mouth, I could have gone to the local Toby carvery and got better service and food, they must do better, I will not order from here again.
James I — Google review
One thing that stops us ordering is when the restaurant forgets part of our order TWICE, and then to be fobbed off and told to get our refund through Uber, No offer of solutions or anything, It’s not the drivers fault you can’t ensure the orders are correct before the driver collects it, the food is too expensive for this! Will not be ordering again!
Becks L — Google review
I had a really decent bacon butty. £3. decent quality bacon, lots of ketchup and well done like I asked for. Friendly stuff.

Disgusting eggs came covered in black pepper and missing paid extras won’t be ordering again disgusting rude staff avoid tbh no mention of pepper at all on the menu and severe allergies this is now £15 in the bin

Ordered online and took almost 2 hours to turn up. We only ordered 2 sausage muffins and 1 paralyser. Drivers were going to the restaurant and cancelling because the food was not ready. Called up the restaurant to be spoken to poorly by whoever was working. Food eventually turned up cold and disappointing. Wouldn’t have again.

The café focuses on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and offers organic wines from local distributors.
So....I love the quality of the food here. A little twist on all time favorites and works great. Sometimes the chefs aren't consistent however it still tastes nice. I personally don't like their house blend coffee at all! But the filtered coffee they do, I love! Service is great . Any problems and they are quick to apologize and fix. Food isn't quick to arrive but worth the wait. The cakes and pastry they have available are delicious! Garlic mushroom and mashed avacado are the 2 sides I always get. Overall amazing 😍
Shidvash T — Google review
Very nice food. Very flavoursome and tasty. Food was presented well, and had plenty of toppings. Price is slightly high but not too different from other places that serve the same beautiful food. Pure orange juice came in a tiny bottle. Only downside is that the place needs a bit of a clean. Which is ironic as they have a big neon sign saying “Keep it clean”. Floor was dirty, cobwebs on the wall and every chair needed a deep clean.
W R — Google review
Popped in first thing on a Sunday morning for two takeaway flat whites. Coffee was made really well, drinkable straight away with great tasting coffee beans. It was pretty busy so if you turned up to find a seat inside you may struggle.
M T — Google review
Really nice little cafe! The quality of the food is excellent! It has the usual you would expect but also more! Pictured is the truffle mac, cheese and mushroom! V nice! Have a good range of weekly specials to keep you coming back! Nice addition to Roundhay!
Fahad K — Google review
First try at this place and was really impressed. The menu was tasty and healthy. I had the poached eggs on sourdough which was tasty and a fun mix of textures. Gf enjoyed the sweet potato hash. The matcha latte was great, not too sweetened. Decaf flat white was top notch. Friendly staff, good COVID measures (screens, wait at door to be seated), but I don't recall giving them my details for track and trace. Decor is well done if standard for a hipster place. Nice wooden floor, industrial ceiling - as you'd expect. High quality though. Would definitely go again.
Robin — Google review
*Editing as they’ve cut corners with the quality of the food. Been a few more times, with the same experience. It’s not the same as it was. We’ve been going to this place since it’s opened 2 a bit years ago. The favourites are mushroom and emmental croissant, which is always eaten before it can be photographed. Pictured are the mushroom with nut butter on toast and the chocolate, peanut butter and banana pancakes.

Pros: Dog friendly, good location near Roundhay Park, warm inside. Cons: Very understaffed, meant the staff we did see were somewhat short with us. Really small place. 15 minute wait for coffees. 40 minute wait for food. Pricey and small portions. We won't return.

Additionally, it stands out with its colorful decor and a diverse selection of guest beers, making it an inviting spot to enjoy quality brews.
Variety of special yet yummy options!! Portions for noodles are quiet big:P
L W — Google review
Food: grilled and fried dishes were great. What was disappointing unfortunately was the sushi rolls. There’s way too much rice in this compared to filling!! Yakitori skewers were winners for me and the bento box was very well portions and of good quality Atmosphere: like a quiet little Japanese restaurant with a screen displaying Japanese views. Price: decently priced for the quality, around 20-30 pp Service: really friendly and kind. Before coming I booked via social media and the handler was very helpful giving us menus and answering other questions.
G — Google review
Been there for quick trip around York and Leeds. Drive past there, and looks good at the atmosphere. The best dish would be the katsu curry. And the fish has strong fish smell which surprised me. The rice just like baby food which is so watery. The “ramen” got no taste. The skewer is fine luckily. To conclude, choose your dishes carefully.
Sin H — Google review
The chicken katsu was really good. Perfectly fried that crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Added the runny omelette for £2.5 gave you an extra bit that went well with the curry and rice but without it will still be delicious. Others were quite different from what we anticipated.. maybe the pictures could be self-explanatory.
Sandy C — Google review
Ramen could definitely be tastier. I tried their special miso ramen and the meats were tender and all but the broth was lacking. Also tried their fried katsu set, it was good. It was really worth it to go when they had their bento lunch deal but now they have a la carte deals instead. Waiter is unpleasant to everyone and that completely ruined the experience for me. Its such a small store, horrible service is going to be amplified. Overall I wouldn't recommend, so much better eateries in Leeds just a few steps away.
Sharon W — Google review
Ordered eggplant tempura ramen, it was labelled as (V) on the menu, so I thought it wouldn't have any animal products, but however it came with an egg which was disappointing as I'm a pure vegetarian.. I immediately complained and they removed the egg..
Anusha B — Google review
For me as a vegan, this place is incredible! A big vegan menu with loads of options of food I've never had before. Absolute heaven. For my gluten free partner it's a little bit more complicated. Staff was keen to help but it didn't seem 100% clear what wasn't and wasn't gluten free. He did end up with a tasty meal though. They have gluten free soy sauce available if you ask for it. Fine for people with some intolerance, but probably not recommended for celiacs.

Top notch Japanese street food at great prices! We've been twice now for pre theatre and intend to go properly very soon. It's an authentic Japanese street food bar with an extensive menu, including but not limited to bento, okonomiyaki, ramen and lots of yakitori. There is a choice of sake, and when you order you get to choose your cup.

Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen is a vibrant three-floor venue in Leeds' Northern Quarter, housed in a 1930s building that was once a nursery school. It offers live gigs, comedy shows, film screenings, and art exhibitions. The space includes fast food options, two bars, and a unique rooftop terrace with colorful picnic tables and lush plants providing shade and cool views of the surroundings.
Food awesome, top selection of food truck choices of pizza, wings and burgers. Lamb pizza off the charts. Often queues but good things come to those who wait. Great beer, good selection of seating options from beer keller style tables, to sofas to rooftop booths. Family friendly during the day. DJ appears to be in all days, good tunes so good vibes, laughter and chats for all. From IPA to cocktails so good drinks choices at reasonable prices. Gig venue upstairs, compact but perfectly formed. Been to both standing and seated gigs. Never had a sofa for a gig before. A revelation!

Enjoyable meals and excellent food. All worth it. Try something different. Price is good on the pockets too. The food is very good and good for family day out. The flavours are amazing. You have to try it and see for yourself. The price is also not bad. I would recommend.

Absolutely brilliant venue, not far from the A64 road from York. The venue itself has a large stage, awesome PA system with plenty of of big fat round bottom end. I attended the Boogaloo student night hosted by DJ Becky Webb. It was awesome. She kept the place rocking till 3 in the morning playing all sorts of classic tunes from the 60's, 70's, and 80's, creating a fabulous party atmosphere. Highly recommended and will attend again, very soon.

Seamless experience from start to finish. The team are so proactive in ensuring they anticipate your needs before you even have to ask. Food is on point for quality and reasonably priced.
