The Thirsty Whale Tavern in Bar Harbor is a popular local pub known for its casual seafood dishes, including fish sandwiches and chowder. It's one of the few spots open past 10pm, making it a go-to for nightlife in the area. The tavern offers a divey atmosphere with wooden paneling and friendly servers. With 14 taps featuring Maine beers, it's an ideal place to unwind after exploring Acadia National Park.
We went at around 1 pm and there was no wait time to be seated, the person at front created a table for my family of 4. (Thank you!) The server was super nice, always checking in and making sure everything was good. I saw that she was running back and forth from the kitchen and basically served all the tables inside which was impressive. The wait for the food was long, the table next to us was waiting for maybe 30+ minutes for two dishes, but it was peak lunch time so take that into consideration. I had the lobster roll and was great, super fresh, the sauce was good. The bread with the lobster roll was also amazing, i loved how soft yet crunchy it was. We also got the lobster bisque which was super creamy and yummy. The crab roll was exceptional! We also had the famous fish sandwich and the fish was super soft. You can tell everything is fresh from the kitchen! Everything came to around $88 before tip for my family. I definitely would recommend this place!

Amazing place! This place was the gem of our food trip to Bar Harbor. It's kind of a "Divy" bar/restaurant that has exceptional food and a great local vibe. We absolutely loved it - ate here 3 times in the 5 days we were in town. - Food: This was probably the best fried seafood platter I have ever had. I'm a long time (40+ years) fried seafood fan - early Legal Seafood and No Name in Boston as references and this was truly amazing - fresh, perfectly cooked. REALLY good. Lobster bisque was very good. Lobster salad - Excellent! Burger was perfect. Blueberry infused beer was exceptional. - Service: Excellent. Staff are very attentive, friendly, no pressure, very helpful! - Atmosphere: As noted, a fun local place. Highly recommended if you're in Bar Harbor. Loved this place.

This was one of the restaurants that was recommended to us. We stopped in after a day of hiking and exploring the park. We had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table. This place was jamming on a Saturday night. The food and drinks were very good. I and the lobster roll and lobster bisque. Both of them were very good. The waiter was attentive and kept us topped up with water and checking in. This place has a great atmosphere and has been here for years. I would recommend it. How can you go wrong with a great name like this? Enjoy!

We stopped in here after hiking Cadillac Mtn and we not disappointed! We started with freshly shucked oysters and then split the famous fish sandwich with fries and 6oz loster roll with coleslaw. The food arrived quickly and was very fresh! The lobster roll was delicious, but the fish sandwich was the true star here. Amazing piece of fish, lightly breaded and served on fresh bread. One of the best I ever ever eaten! Highly recommend this place. Service was fast and friendly too. (Sorry, no pics of the fish sandwich because we ate it too quickly!)

We have tried dining here the past two times we have visited Bar Harbor and could never get in, always a line out the door. This time we did! Made it in for lunch sat at the bar and enjoyed the best Whole belly clams, New England clam chowder and fish and chips EVER! And local Maine hard seltzer- Blueberry flavored of course. Bartender was so friendly and kind. Would definitely return again
Pia S — Google review
The vibes are pretty good and it’s decently priced however I will say the crab and lobster roll are alright and the lobster bisque is just pure cream no lobster chunks. The clam chowder is your standard New England fare nothing super special but it’s a good delight at a good price, especially the special having with both the roll and the clam chowder which I highly recommend although our service was great from our waitress. The front lady seemed to not be courteous and we had to ask about being say while waiting infront of her the entire time lol
Arthur T — Google review
We came here specifically for fried clams and they did not disappoint! So fresh, perfectly battered and fried. We also had some amazing fried pickle spears (a special) and some clam chowder, which was pretty good as well. Amanda, our server, was amazing. So quick but making sure every guest had what they needed. I would definitely come here again! The atmosphere was lively but not obnoxiously loud.
Kristin M — Google review
Cool place to check out while in town, the lobster roll im pretty sure is the best I've had in town so far. The blood orange Margherita was good, had a bit of a kick to it but good. The whale water cocktail was very tasty! Would highly recommend checking it out while in town

Nestled on a side street near the Village Green, Side Street Cafe and its sister establishment, The Annex, are popular spots for locals and tourists alike. The warm and modern atmosphere welcomes families and even furry friends outside. Both locations offer a menu filled with comfort food favorites like fish tacos, burgers, lobster dishes, appetizers, and desserts until late into the evening.
The best cafe and restaurant in Bar Harbor, Maine. So grateful that we could have the table for 7 people, 30 minutes before the resto would be closed. The food was so delicious and affordable. I really recommended people to buy the bangin shrimp, the sauce was so delicious. The grilled salmon was so tasty. The waiters and waitresses were so friendly and fast. The restrooms were clean. Additionally, there was a bar after the resto was closed. Really love the live music and the drinks. Would love to visit side street cafe again.

Extremely expensive. This place was noisy and the food mediocre. I haven’t yet found a decent place to eat in Bar Harbor. Still searching. The lobster, although edible, perhaps weighed 4 ounces. The lobster tail looked to me the size they typically discard when fishing, which leads me to wonder where they actually got the lobster. The steak was under-cooked and contained gristle. The fries were nothing to write home about.

Came to Maine off season and most everything in Bar Harbor is closed until 2026. We were fortunate to find Side Street Cafe open & we’re not disappointed. I started out with the Rodrick Street Corn & it was by far the best street corn I’ve ever had. Our waiter gave us tortilla chips to scoop up the corn and it was amazing. The Lobster Melt (pictured) was delicious, we contemplated ordering a second one lol. Overall a great meal for my first time in Bar Harbor!
Letícia N — Google review
Pet friendly which is super handy. The staff didn't seem super friendly, but they were efficient which was fine. The food was good. My husband had the burger and it needed some more seasoning and we tried the lobster quesadilla (which sounds ridiculous) but it was so tasty. The sauce and guac made it perfect. The haddock fish tacos were also tasty. I didn't care for the clam chowder but I think that is just a personal preference.
Christian R — Google review
The Side Street Cafe is a wonderful change from some of the other restaurants in the downtown area of Bar Harbor. We arrived quite early since we had a light lunch, thinking around 5:45 and had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. For an appetizer we ordered the Rodick Street Corn with chips. The dish was fire roaster corn off the cob, zesty butter, lime, Old Bay crema and tajin (chili spice that was a bit mild). The dish was very good. Having the chips to scoop up the corn was better than using a spoon. For dinner my partner and I both ordered the original Mac & Cheese with a parsley garnish. The Mac & Cheese was very creamy and just awesome. Darn good Mac & Cheese. Service is fantastic, great spot for dinner.
Jamie W — Google review
Side Street Café is such a wonderful spot! We came here with a vegetarian and several non-seafood-eaters, and everyone had a good meal. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Despite, being busy, our wait time wasn't too long. It's worth noting, if you come with a large group, you can't be seated until everyone in the group has arrived. Nevertheless, such a good spot in Bar Harbor!
Tierney K — Google review
We ordered lobster mac and cheese, salmon, sweet potato fries and a drink. Food was generally quite tasty and served warm but small portion. Mac & cheese was in right proportion, cheese not too rich or light. Yet, a bit disappointed on lobster which was cold and cut into small pieces (was that the lobster from lobster roll?)...
L T — Google review
The Glazed Salmon entree was delicious. I loved how moist the salmon was and the vegetables! My kids liked their kids meals and my husband enjoyed the Nomad burger. It’s a great place for food.

Breakfast restaurant
Cafe This Way is a charming and quirky cafe located in downtown Bar Harbor, offering a globally influenced menu for breakfast and dinner. The interior of the cafe exudes an artistic and hip ambiance, with bookshelves, art displays, and retro-themed furniture creating a cozy atmosphere.
We arrived at 11:30am and did not have to wait for seating on a Tuesday in July. They have indoor and outdoor seating and we chose first available. Service was fast and the staff was very attentive and friendly. My daughter had the CWT fried bacon and bagel sandwich, we tried the peach pancakes, my husband had a scramble with sourdough toast, and I had a scramble with gluten-free toast. We also ordered a vanilla latte, a milk, and an orange juice. The scrambles are good, but they add up once you add all of the meat and vegetables and become a little bit pricey. The drinks are a bit expensive as well and we ended up spending $81 plus tip on breakfast! The sourdough toast is good and I thought the gluten-free toast was excellent. It was light and fluffy and not chewy. Gluten-free bread can be hit or miss and this was really good gluten-free bread and would probably make great French toast, but I did not try the French toast. The orange juice was good and the milk was good and cold. My daughter enjoyed her bacon, egg and cheese bagel and my scramble was excellent and a very large portion. The big hit of the day was the peach pancakes. We ordered those to share and that plate is empty. The pancake texture and flavor were excellent. They have real whipped butter available, and the syrup was really good. We had an excellent experience and the food was delicious so here so will come back again during our short visit to Bar Harbor.

My husband and I shared: - Lobster Benedict - Maine Blueberry Pancake - Home Fries - Atlantic Brewing Blueberry Soda The food was absolutely delicious. I expected to like the Benedict more and it was so good, but the blueberry pancake blew me away. I don't love pancakes, but this one was thin, crispy, and had so much flavor. It was the best pancake I've ever had. The portion sizes are on the smaller side and prices are fairly high, but that's typical of lobster in Maine. We arrived a bit before 11 and didn't have to wait too long for a table.
Jacqueline T — Google review
We had breakfast here three days in a row during our stay in Acadia, and every single meal was fantastic. The staff deserves a special shout-out, Tyler and Brenna were incredible hosts who took such great care of us, making us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. My husband loved their vegan tofu scramble so much that he ordered it all three days, flavorful, hearty, and perfectly cooked with fresh veggies and crispy home fries on the side. I decided to try something different each day: the ricotta toast on Day 1, the avocado toast on Day 2, and a bagel with herbed cream cheese on Day 3. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The coffee was fresh and strong, just the way I like it, and the quirky, colorful interiors added so much character to the place. From the food to the friendly service and the fun atmosphere, Café This Way truly captures the cozy, creative vibe of Bar Harbor. Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Acadia, you’ll leave happy, full, and already planning your next breakfast here! ☕🍳🥑

We stopped at this cafe for brunch since it was highly recommended in Bar Harbor restaurants They did not disappoint. We went on Rainy day so outdoor patio was closed and we had to wait a bit but it was quick service. I ordered peach pancakes and it made my day. It was so delicious. It is so soft and fluffy and melting in mouth. My hubby ordered egg Benedict with lobster and he loved it as well Highly recommended to try this place when you are in the area
TIRISSA V — Google review
TLDR upfront: Cafe This Way was our favorite food place in Bar Harbor over the course of a 4-day Acadia trip. The food, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional, absolutely a must-visit stop for any future visits! We ordered: - Build-your-own omelet with some veggies and goat cheese -> I'm not usually a fan of omelets but the goat cheese was really good, would get this again - White bean shakshuka -> Incredibly flavorful, poached eggs were cooked to perfection, probably my favorite dish we had in Bar Harbor - Blueberry pancake -> The pancake is relatively thin, absolutely stuffed with blueberries, and a little crispy around the edges. I've never had a pancake like this one before but regular ones just won't hit the spot anymore. They served it with house strawberry jam that was delicious and paired perfectly with the pancake as the pancake was not too sweet. 100% would recommend this as the best blueberry pancake in Bar Harbor if you like the crispier texture! - Hot chocolate -> Excellent hot chocolate, whipped cream was great, no notes The staff were all really friendly and attentive, we didn't have to wait long for food even though they were fairly busy, vibes were absolutely immaculate. Prices are about average for Bar Harbor. Only regret is that we didn't get to go back in favor of trying out other breakfast spots around Bar Harbor. While there are some good ones, none of the other places we ate at wowed me like Cafe This Way. Highly recommend!
Rishu H — Google review
Charismatic and lively! We loved the atmosphere and the servers were very friendly. I very much appreciated the generous & no charge flask of real maple syrup they give you (instead of those tiny samplers that cost more you usually get at many places). The pancakes were huge, nicely crispy a bit on the edges (though a bit greasy) and fluffy inside. Homefries were no frills, very basic, but fine. Wish the tshirts were a little less expensive. We loved the decor so much, and the food was great- would definitely come back!
Molly J — Google review
One of my favorite vacation breakfast spots ever! We loved it so much we went twice during our trip. The first time we sat outside before a full day of hiking, and it was the perfect start to the day. The custom egg scramble with sourdough toast was outstanding, and the croissant egg sandwich was also delicious (though a little tricky to eat with how crumbly the croissant was). If we make it back to Bar Harbor, this will always be a must-stop for breakfast!
Jake G — Google review
Great cafe with a cozy vibe — we got seated right away even though it was busy. The pancakes were the highlight, very crispy and delicious. Shakshuka was solid, but the tofu scramble could’ve used more flavor.

Jeannie’s Great Maine Breakfast is a cozy and welcoming eatery located in Bar Harbor, Maine. It's a popular spot for locals and visitors alike, offering generous portions of classic American breakfast dishes. The restaurant opens at 6 am, making it the perfect place to fuel up after catching the sunrise at Acadia National Park's Cadillac Mountain.
This place really lives up to the name - Jeannie’s Great Maine Breakfast is exactly that. We ended up eating here two days in a row because it was so good. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. The Garden Omelet (photo included) was packed with veggies and perfectly cooked, and the blueberry pancake was light and fluffy. Even something as simple as a single scrambled egg and coffee was done just right. The rhubarb sauce on my toast (see photo) is a nice in-house touch, and each table has this option. It’s a welcoming, relaxed spot that clearly takes pride in what they do. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in Bar Harbor and want a solid breakfast to start your day.

The place had a nice, lively atmosphere, especially with the city already buzzing outside. Try to get there early to avoid the queue. We tried the corned beef with potatoes and the stuffed French toast filled with cream cheese and blueberry jam—both were delicious. The staff were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Parking was a major challenge, though, and the food was a bit on the pricey side.
A. R — Google review
Another great breakfast spot in Bar Harbor! The custom omelet was delicious, but honestly the homefries stole the show — my wife would agree, and she had a breakfast sandwich. The seasoning (a mix of cumin and coriander, I think) gave them such a unique and delicious flavor. The atmosphere inside is very cool, the only thing missing is some outdoor seating to enjoy that beautiful Maine weather.
Jake G — Google review
A must breakfast spot in Bar Harbor, in my opinion. There can be a wait, but we went 3 times and only had a 25min wait once. The camp skillet and the lobster Benedict were sooo good! I personally loved the camp skillet because it was so savory and delicious with crispy edges on the omelette which I love. The rhubarb spread they have at every table is addicting! Definitely recommend trying it and if available to purchase, get it (unfortunately wasn’t being sold at the time we went). My husband had the pancakes with the strawberry rhubarb with turkey bacon and homefries, very good! We loved it so much we went 3 times during our trip. 10/10!

Absolutely Amazing Breakfast — A Must-Visit in Bar Harbor! This place is worth the wait! When we arrived, there was already a line forming 30 minutes before opening — and by the time it hit 7 a.m., the restaurant was already full! They even started letting people in a little early because so many were excited to eat there. The staff deserves a special mention — they were some of the friendliest, most polite, and genuinely helpful servers we’ve ever met. Everyone worked together with such energy and kindness to make sure every guest had a wonderful experience. Even with our food allergies, they went above and beyond to accommodate us. The gluten-free pancakes were delicious — fluffy, perfectly cooked, and honestly the best we’ve ever had. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty, from the eggs and bacon to the sausages and coffee. We loved it so much that we came back again the very next morning! Prices were very reasonable for the quality and service. This spot is truly a gem — cozy atmosphere, great food, amazing people. If you’re in Bar Harbor (or anywhere near Acadia National Park), you have to try this place for breakfast!

We greatly enjoyed our food here! The strawberry jam was delightfully scrumptious. Everyone enjoyed their food and we’d def go back if we were in the area. The employees were super friends and the service was pretty fast. If you want a good breakfast def stop In here and they will take care of u!

I was really disappointed with my visit here. The biscuits and gravy were downright gross—heavy, bland, and almost inedible. The orange juice was served warm, which is just unappealing for breakfast. To top it off, the corned beef hash was dry and completely lacking in flavor. Nothing on the table felt fresh or well-prepared. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.
Rob — Google review
For what you pay, try something else. Ordered the bullseye, no choice of toast, cheese sprinkled on top cold and not melted. Ordered bacon, received sausage. Ordered a side pumpkin pancake ($8!!!!), no pure maple syrup or butter (that’s $2 extra!). If you want a meh breakfast, this is it. $51 w/out tip 😬

Geddy's is a family-friendly restaurant known for its pub grub, seafood, and beer. The lively establishment features kitschy signage and nautical decor, creating a cozy atmosphere filled with humor and quirky touches like plastic animals on cocktail sticks. The menu boasts a variety of seafood options, including a pick-your-own lobster tank. With harbor views from select seats upfront, Geddy's also offers a large bar in the middle of the restaurant.
What a great night! All the great reviews and recommendations did not disappoint. Hannah was our waitress and she was amazing. So helpful, cheerful and great recommendations for our time in the area. Our drinks were so good. My husband had Mule Nor’easter and I had Jalapeño margarita. Yum! Then, we had Lobster bake and Scampi Garlicky. My husband add lobster to the shrimp and scallops. We finished with blue berry pie and it so reminded me of my grandmothers when I was a child. Delicious.

We came on a Sunday night around 5 PM and they said all the tables were for reservations only but we could sit at the bar. The bar filled up quick and then there was a line out the door when we left around six so definitely make a reservation.Athena gave us excellent service! The cocktails were great and the lobster stew had plenty of lobster in it with a nice sherry flavor! The lobster mini bake was a perfect way to try the lobster roll, the clam chowder plus have a little blueberry tart. The atmosphere was nice and we would definitely try this place again. If we were in the area, we preferred it over Stewmans

Overall, a decent place to eat. It's a touristy place more than anything. My take: - Food: average to slightly above average. We had the fried calamari and Brussell sprouts which were both decent. Neither were great. We also had the tuna poke which was very good. We also had a blueberry infused beer which was good. - Service: Was excellent. Wait staff were very attentive, friendly and helpful. No pressure. No issues. - The place itself: Fun, not too noisy. It appears to be a great place to sit at the bar, have a few drinks, and socialize. We had no problems talking or being overwhelmed by noise. I'd recommend it but don't expect to be wowed by the food.
Mark H — Google review
A fun yet homy eatery in Bar Harbor that serves you the local delicacies prepared with the utmost love. A definite must order is the steamed lobster — it is so juicy but still melts from the shell. The buttery sauce complement’s the lobster’s natural sweetness and makes each bite heavenly. The clam chowder is also a recommended order since it is a balanced appatiser that whets the appetite. The star of our meal though, was the blueberry pie. The cream is thick but not cloying and the additional ice cream mellows the tart-sweet richness of the blueberry compote. Paradise.

My husband and I visited Bar Harbor after exploring Acadia National Park, and even though it was already past the busy season, the town still had such a cozy, welcoming charm. Geddy’s was absolutely packed when we arrived, but the staff were so friendly and efficient that we didn’t mind waiting a bit — it just added to the lively atmosphere. We ordered a full lobster (our first time in Maine, so we had to!) and the seafood pie, and both were incredible — so fresh and full of flavor. I also tried an Irish coffee, which was delicious, though a bit strong for my taste — but that’s just personal preference! Prices weren’t cheap, but the quality, service, and experience made it totally worth it. Overall, Geddy’s was a highlight of our trip — warm, busy, full of good food and friendly faces. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bar Harbor!
Julia S — Google review
We loved Geddy’s for the food and the fun vibes! The menu has so many taste tempting offerings it’s hard to decide. I had the fish and chips which were outstanding! The batter was light and very crispy with delicious seasonings. My wife had the grilled haddock with Jasmine rice and grilled vegetables (green beans and carrots) which were flavorfully sautéed and crispy. Our server, Hannah was very gracious and professional and we never felt neglected. There is also a fun merch store downstairs where you can find any kind of items you might want for yourself or as gifts to take home. We would go back if we were in town longer!

For fun and great food this is where you go in Bar Harbor! Tourist town restaurants can be overpriced and low quality; but not Geddy’s. The staff was friendly, attentive and the signature chowder and lobster dinner with blueberry pie doesn’t disappoint. Even the corn on the cob was fresh, sweet and yummy. Thanks for taking the time to serve a great meal at a fair price.
Scott C — Google review
This spot in Bar Harbor is beautiful!!! really great decor and just a nice place to be. The service was awesome. David, the host, was super welcoming and friendly, honestly the best we’ve ever had when visiting the West coast. The food was good. I had a burger that was pretty standard, nothing special, but my wife got the lobster plate and it was amazing. It came with clam chowder and a blueberry pie that were both so good. The lobster was big and totally worth it definitely pay the extra $4 to get it already out of the shell. Way less messy and easier to eat. Everything tasted super fresh, like it came straight off the Maine coast. We’d go back for the atmosphere, the great service, that blueberry pie, and the lobster.

Restaurant
Paddy's Irish Pub & Restaurant is a charming waterfront establishment located at the West Street Hotel. The cozy atmosphere, with its dark wood and warm lighting, provides a stark contrast to the expansive seascapes just outside. The menu offers a mix of classic pub favorites like fish and chips, burgers, as well as traditional Irish dishes such as Pan Boxty Scramble.
Paddy’s was great! They had tons of seating inside and outside, and live music playing while we had lunch. The service was friendly and quick. The menu had a lot of options, and was hard to narrow down what to get since a lot looked good! I ended up getting the fish sandwich, which was delicious, and the fries they served were super crispy on the outside. They also provided drink refills without needing to ask, which was appreciated! A nice spot in bar harbor!

Family dinner after a long day exploring the town. The Irish Pub vibe was definitely more upscale, though still felt on point. 8 of us were able to be seated and served in a reasonable time. The service staff was excellent - attentive and friendly. Food came out as expected and for the most part everyone was happy enough with their meals. The summer chicken dish was phenomenal - paired with potatoes and root veggies which all tasted great. Fish and chips were also a great pick - very traditional one huge filet. The lesser favorites at our table included the nachos (on kettle chips) and the salads. Given the mixed reviews on the food, the price didn’t feel quite right. A bit expensive for the quality when there are other excellent choices nearby. We’ll probably skip this place on the next visit.

I was a little nervous by the reviews and after eating so much seafood we were on the hunt for something casual with good drinks and a great atmosphere. We found that here and it was perfect and a unique spot right on the water. We sat at a booth with a private little tv to watch the game. Had yummy drinks and the food was actually really good! We got the pretzel and the French dip. Pleasantly surprised.

Cute decor and ambience, we came for an early dinner before the crowds (~5pm). Liam was a great server; he was patient, fast, and gracious when I spilled water all over the table. We got a couple of drinks, a salad, their poutine, corned beef sandwich, a couple of burgers, a fish sandwich, and finished with dessert. It was all delicious, we ate so fast we forgot to take pics of our mains!

Beautiful location with a lovely dog friendly outdoor seating area. We started with whipped feta, very good. Dinner was the two fish tacos with a whole fish piece similar to the fish and chips both were delicious. The burger was well seasoned and good and the lobster salad had a TON of lobster meat! Definitely worth a stop

9/25 - On a NE bus tour and decide to have lunch here. The wife had the seafood chowder & I had the corned beef sandwich, both were great. Service was good, prices were reasonable. See no reason for you not to give them a try

With so many places to eat this one really stood out. The outdoor seating right by the pier was the perfect place to unwind from a long day and enjoy the village while enjoying a good meal and drink. Service was great and the restaurant is very neat.

Great location. Staff was very nice, but it took a tiny bit to get served. Maybe b/c it had just started to rain and they had to empty the sidewalk tables. Our medium burger was medium rare at best. I never send stuff back, but was willing to.

Jordan's Restaurant is a cozy breakfast and lunch spot that has been serving up delicious meals for years. Their breakfast menu features favorites like wild Maine blueberry pancakes and Eggs Benedict, served with fresh-brewed gourmet coffee from a local roaster. You can enjoy your meal on their spacious outdoor deck or take it back to your room. Known for their love of blueberries, Jordan's offers some of the best blueberry pancakes and muffins in Bar Harbor.
The best and probably cheapest breakfast we had while in town! They tell you to sit wherever you like. Service was fast and excellent! The blueberry waffle and muffin was LOADED with blueberries! I didn’t even need the blueberry syrup which was more of a compost but it was delicious! Highly recommend!

On our last two days in Bar Harbor, we were craving a good old-fashioned breakfast — no frills, no foam art, just real food. Jordan’s turned out to be exactly what we needed. It’s an excellent classic diner — friendly, chatty service, the kind that makes you feel like a regular even if you’re just passing through, and simple, home-style food that hits the spot. Everything was fresh, tasty, and served with that comforting “made-with-love” vibe. And let’s talk about the blueberry muffins — warm, soft, and perfectly paired with a hot cup of coffee. Maine blueberries never disappoint, and neither did Jordan’s. Bottom line: if you want a hearty, no-nonsense breakfast served with a smile before your next hike or ferry ride, Jordan’s is the place.

Delicious diner in Bar Harbor, Maine. So grateful to have the opportunity to visit this restaurant. The omelette is so delicious, both the Maine delight omelette and lobster cheese. The blueberry pancake is also delicious, I recommend you to order the maple syrup since both combination will be mouthwatering. I really love the black coffee and half&half, helps you awake for the entire day. The toilets are so clean, and the waiters + waitresses are so friendly and fast. The location of the restaurant is also strategic, since it is next to grocery store.

I liked this place a lot. Came here after watching the sunrise on Cadillac mountain! I was craving a mom and pop type diner food and I got just that :) Stuck to my usual for breakfast. Their toast is good. Coffee is good too. I usually don't drink coffee while dining out. Pancakes were delicious. Staff is attentive and friendly. I would definitely want to come back here next time we're in Maine.
Tee — Google review
Decent diner, way overhyped. Blueberry pancakes are ok, they are not sweet, which is a nice contrast to the blueberry syrup. I might just try normal pancakes if we visit again. I almost ordered a muffin but wasn’t sure if they use the same batter… French toast was ok, maple syrup was pretty good but didn’t seem worth the up charge. Coffee was good, service was good, food came out quick, and they seem to have pretty quick turnover so you’re not there for hours. I’d come back, but I might try other places first.
Matthew L — Google review
A great local place to get a great breakfast. The blueberry pancakes and western omelette were delicious. The staff were very kind and even gave us a few tips on what to see in the area. If you are going to Cadillac Mountain for the sunrise, this is a good option to catch breakfast before.

JORDAN'S IS A MUST!! If there is one breakfast spot you must stop at in Bar Harbor, it's definitely this gem. As a local who has been living here for a few years now, I can attest that Jordan's is the heart of this town. The owner, David Paine, is a true legend - flipping pancakes for over 50 years with a smile. This place feels like home, like family. David always takes the time to greet his regulars and make sure everyone feels welcomed. There's so much love and warmth in this old school diner, done the way that feels right with spoken tickets and true team work. Highly recommend it for a cozy and delicious breakfast experience! It's humble and done right and I can't wait to try everything on the menu.

An expensive dinner experience in the heart of Bar Harbor. Don't let the appearance led you into thinking its a diner. 3 in our party had the lobster roll and chowder. They said it was good. I had blueberry waffle with blueberry syrup. Market price should be stated upfront. As I saw lobster was at a low this week, yet the roll was 36.00. I found the place expensive. 6 of us it was 215.00 We asked the waitress to split our bill, she stated it would take to long and we could venmo each other. And stated that most people tell us upfront how they want their ticket split. Most waitress ask how customers want their check, she never inquired. This drastically drop her tip %. Parking may be difficult to find.

The Chart Room is a beloved dining spot in Bar Harbor, Maine, offering a diverse menu featuring classic New England seafood, pasta, and prime rib. With over 20 years of history, this casual indoor/outdoor eatery is conveniently located near the city center and provides a great dining option for couples exploring nearby Acadia National Park. Situated on the shores of Frenchman Bay, The Chart Room boasts stunning panoramic views of the water and Acadia's coastline.
Stopped in for lunch and was pleased with the menu choices and the location. We got here before the lunch crowd and sat outside in the deck by the water. Tide was out and it was nice to see the exposed beach and water. Food was great. Service efficient and friendly. Blueberry pie was a great top to the meal. Mussels were great and smoked salmon wrap very tasty. Nice parking and a good place for a nice meal.

In our recent visit to Acadia Bar Harbor area, we had dinners on 2 consecutive nights at this beautiful place, overlooking the water. Food was generally good, except for the crab cakes and bang bang shrimps, we definitely had better versions, elsewhere. But the taste of fresh Maine lobsters and sweet ending with blueberry pie made up for any shortcoming. We appreciate Terry and Jamie, who served us and both were really nice and ensured that we had a great dining experience. Thank you !!!

Nice outdoor boardwalk bar seating area that extends out into the bay Also, nice water view from inside restaurant Excellent wait staff! Solid menu with everything from steak pasta burgers salads and all the best Of Maine seafood!! Risotto with scallops was top notch Whole belly clams were good … could have had a tastier breading Definitely a good spot for good food views and service!!!

My husband and I were in Bar Harbor the week after the 4th of July. This was our first dinner after we arrived and I am so grateful this was the place we picked. As it was the heart of the summer season, the restaurant was definitely busy at the dinner hour, but we did manage to get a table with only a few minutes wait. We did not sit outside, but did have views from our table inside and went out to to enjoy the deck after. If we are in the area again I would love to enjoy a meal by the water. Our waitress Abby was pleasant and helpful, making sure drinks were replenished as needed. Our food we ordered was outstanding! A little pricey- 2 lemonades, bang bang shrimp appetizer, lobster mac and cheese, and teriyaki steak tips totalled $110 before tip - but worth it as a treat. All of the food we ordered was delicious and the mac and cheese especially was a decent sized portion and filling. The shrimp were crispy with the right amount of heat and the tips were flavorful. Highly recommend. We will back if we return to the area.

We were up at 2am to begin our travel to Bar Harbor. After landing in Bangor and driving down, I was hangry. We arrived at The Chart Room at the perfect time - no wait for a table as they were all turned from the lunch rush. The water view was beautiful. The menu has a little of everything, but we went with lobster rolls - one served with mayo and the other with hot butter. They were both delish. Drinks were slow but the food was fast. Our server was friendly and not overwhelming. The music was a little loud for a Sunday afternoon, but who doesn't yearn for the 90's? We were happy with our choice on our first trip to Maine.

Came for an early dinner...great view by the window. Annette was our service...super helpful and attentive. Had the spiced pear martini (perfection), the calamari special, the Maine mussels and then we split the lobster mac and cheese and beaten goat salad. Everything was delicious!!!would recommend and would definitely return!

The Reading Room Restaurant is an upscale-casual dining venue located at the Bar Harbor Inn, offering a delectable selection of seafood and steaks accompanied by live piano music. Originally established as the Mount Desert Reading Room in 1887, this historic property has been a hub for literary and social culture in Bar Harbor. Over the years, it has hosted notable events such as President William Howard Taft's reception in 1910.
We visited the Reading Room in Bar Harbor with a party of five, and the entire experience was beyond a 10. The views alone are sweeping and magnificent, but what truly stood out was the impeccable service from everyone from the delightful hostess to our server, Haley. Every detail felt thoughtful, the wine, the table settings, including the little palate cleanser between courses, which was a delightful touch. We had the seafood appetizer plate with lobster and crab and oysters and shrimp. We had the filet mignon, and it was one of the most tender, perfectly prepared cuts I’ve ever enjoyed—simply outstanding. My sister couldn’t stop raving about the fresh oysters, and every seafood dish at our table was a hit. I also tried the compressed pear salad, and the balance of flavors was both unique and refreshing. The meal was finished off with espresso martinez! Mmmm. The atmosphere sealed the night for us—the live piano music created an elegant, relaxing backdrop that elevated the whole dining experience. Truly an unforgettable evening filled with incredible food, gracious service, and a setting that couldn’t be more memorable.

We love fine dining and made reservations at the Reading Room in hopes of a really fantastic experience. Reviews seemed good, but overall it didn't live up to the hype. Food was okay at best. The best part was the bread and blueberry butter and the blueberry sorbet. I order the prosciutto wrapped cod - it had a very hard outer shell and basically came out cold. I pick out the cod and ate it despite the temperature and left the prosciutto. The green beans were good and seasoned well. We had a 6:30 reservation and waited probably 20 minutes to be seated. There was a reservation that was over 20 minutes late for their reservation that got seated before we did - they should have had to wait since they were so late. Just my opinion. When finally seated - we were in the back corner of the restaurant next to the window. Glad to be next to the window, but not a great table. My husband basically had a view of the door next to the hostess stand. We also found it difficult to understand our server. He was pleasant enough, but it definitely altered our experience because my husband couldn't understand a word he said and I was understanding about 70%. Overall, not a place that I would book again, though I might try their terrace next time. Disappointing for what I expected to be an exceptional experience.

I had one of the best filet mignons in my life here. My husband and I absolutely loved dinner here, one of our top favorites. The view around sunset was beautiful, we were lucky and it was raining earlier so we saw a rainbow along with the sunset. The crab cake appetizer was delicious, our entrees of the land and sea were absolutely amazing (lobster and filet were cooked to perfection, the filet just melted in your mouth), and the mocha espresso cake dessert was light and perfect way to end the evening. Our waitress (Haley I think) was very kind and helpful. We loved her! There is also a live piano player, very nice touch. Overall experience here was 10/10

Amazing! Made reservations ahead of time and was blown away with the view! Simply stunning with the boats coming in and the gorgeous sunset. Our dinner highlights were the oysters, scallop dinner & blueberry pie dessert - also pianist kept the mood fun & enjoyable! Highly recommend for both adults & kids.

Service was great and the view of the harbor is beautiful. The piano player was also nice. The scallops were perfectly good and absolutely delicious. The crab cake was decent but I'd probably get a different app next time. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended.

A great experience! Overall, food was a solid 4/5 stars, but the service was awesome! I had the short rib and I did not have a single complaint. My boyfriend got the Land & Sea and was slightly disappointed at how little lobster he got. When they said “lobster tail” we imagined a bit more than he got. However it tasted great 🤷🏼‍♀️ blueberry pie was DELICIOUS.

Stayed at the Bar Harbor Inn and Spa and ate our last night’s meal at this special spot overlooking the water. Got a res at 5:45pm to soak in the scenery before sunset. Nestled in a beautifully restored Victorian house on Main Street, McKay's Public House offers a delightful blend of high-end surf 'n' turf and pub fare with global influences. This charming eatery not only serves up an array of fresh dishes like Jamaican bean & vegetable soup and truffled seafood risotto but also invites diners to bask in its historic ambiance, complete with original fireplaces and oak wainscoting.
Had the Shepard's Pie which was excellent. It was authentic being made with lamb (most restaurants in the US turn this dish into an abomination by substituting ground beef for the lamb). For desert, had the Southern Sundae with caramel, Gelato, and caramelized bacon bits. The bacon bits were surprisingly good and went well with the gelato. Service was professional and superb. The restaurant is appropriately upscale and clean.
Ralph R — Google review
Nice location both indoor and outdoor, and our server was attentive and friendly. Not a long wait for our food, which was great. I ordered the short rib; portion of meat was gigantic, nice and tender. I think it could have used more sauce, as what was given wasn't nearly enough for the amount of meat. Also, while the menu said it came with broccolini it ended up being green beans instead, which would have been nice to know about beforehand (was looking forward to the broccolini!). We also got the lemon herb chicken, and that portion was pretty small for the price to us. Overall, the food was good, the service was great, and we'd come back!
Molly J — Google review
Our McKay's visit last week was awesome!!!! Through a reservation, they set us up in a separate room for our daughter's wedding celebration of 22. They were also very accommodating for our large party in their small bar. The service and staff were fantastic. The food was exceptional with plenty of regular menu and special items for us to choose from. We enjoyed the Lobster Mac & Cheese, Fish and Chips, Spring Salmon, Steak Frites, Beef Short Ribs, Truffled Seafood Risotto, Fall featured Risotto, and the featured Halibut with Lobster Risotto. Everyone raved about their dishes. We couldn't have asked for a better and enjoyable experience in this rustic setting. McKays is an absolute must visit.
Christopher A — Google review
Exemplary meal, less the seafood risotto. Truly, the dining experience was unforgettable. The pork belly, the oysters, the steak tartare, and the meatloaf were all spectacular. The seafood risotto, however, left much to be desired. It lacked seasoning and should have more umami flavor and less of plain cream flavor. However, this was our third visit to McKay’s, and despite the risotto not hitting the spot, we will dine here every time we are in Bar Harbor!

Not to be dramatic but the food here is to die for! One of the best places we have ever eaten in. My husband had buffalo wings (he has that appetizer in pretty much every restaurant we go to) and he was OBSESSED. He also had the short ribs and I had the seafood risotto. Amazing food, also really good selection of beers and wines. The service was SO quick. We loved it here. Highly recommended
Sofi W — Google review
I really wanted to like this place, it’s got a beautiful outdoor seating space, cozy indoor dining space, our server was incredible and attentive, but the food just left a lot to be desired. The chimichurri on the Steak Frites was too vinegary, the fries were over salted, the risotto was over salted and the short ribs which were supposed to “die for” wasn’t tender. Frankly this place has all the makings of a great restaurant but they need to focus on the food a bit more.
Hani B — Google review
My burger was excellent, my wife's salmon was good enough. The drinks were good, the service was excellent. The atmosphere was good but noisy thanks to a rumble-voiced chatterbox and a loud child. Parking is always a challenge.

Rosalie's Pizza is a cozy and traditional pizza parlor located in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor. Since 1988, this classic eatery has been serving up delicious pies with homemade flavors, as well as pasta, salads, calzones, and subs. The restaurant offers a variety of specialty pizzas with unique toppings or the option to build your own. With its friendly service and cozy atmosphere, Rosalie's Pizza has become a favorite spot for both locals and visitors alike.
💎 Hidden Gem Alert! Tucked away on a side street in Bar Harbor is a little pizza place that ranks in my top five overall pizzas! The service was friendly. the atmosphere was enjoyable with all of the nostalgia decoration, even an old school jukebox. The pizza was near perfect... crust, cheese, sauce, and pepperoni. If you love pizza like I do and you're in Bar Harbor, it is an absolute must try. Even if you're just in Acadia National Park... it's worth a drive over to Bar Harbor to get it!

This pizza is one of the all time best pizzas I have ever eaten. It took me back to when I was a kid in Eugene, OR. Their flacky crust and quality ingredients were what I have wanted for years. I cannot express how high my recommendation for Rosalie’s Pizza is. Please go try them yourself. Let me know what you think. We had a simple sausage and onion pizza and a Mediterranean salad.

Stopped in a Friday night in October and was amazed at how busy this restaurant is. There were no tables available when we arrived, you just have to walk around a find a group of people leaving and grab the table before someone else does, crazy!! I ordered a small cheese pizza and thought it was quite good. A little heavy on the sauce but the crust was fresh and the cheese was very good. My partner ordered the Manicotti and said he enjoyed the dish. He said it felt microwaved but had a good flavor. Overall, the food is good, looks great for take-out.

Okay pizza for maine, its quite doughy and had a lot of cheese, but not really in a good way. I still enjoyed it, but the cheese was just mozzarella squares that formed a dense layer, and the crust wasn’t crispy. The wait on the 4th of july for whole pies was long (as expected) but we got slices in about 10 mins. Id imagine much less wait on most days. The inside seating both upstairs and downstairs was nice, though a little crowded. Bathrooms are in the back.

The pizza here was good- not quite like Jersey or NY pizza but it wasn’t that bad. It also comes out fast. There’s no table service here you order at the counter. We basically got a small meat lovers and it was plenty of food for two people.

This is the ONLY affordable place to eat in town. This place remind me of the 80s. For pizza, don’t expect the dough to be like Napoli or NY style pizza dough. Ingredient is ok. Had the baked sub, and the vegetable are raws. At least sauté it like the onion and mushroom in the steak Philly. Anyway, I would not come back.

The Travelin Lobster, LLC is a charming seafood spot on Mount Desert Island, offering a delectable selection of lobster dishes. This family-owned business, run by generations of lobstermen, serves up fresh catches daily. From succulent lobster rolls to flavorful lobster bisque, there's something for every seafood lover. While it may be a bit off the beaten path near the bridge to mainland Maine, the mouthwatering lobster feasts and buttery seafood rolls make it well worth the visit.
The real deal - The staff at our motel suggested this place as the best around and it did not disappoint! We got the sampler 3 roll dinner and a blueberry pie with blueberry ice cream and the food was amazing. Portion sized seemed very reasonable to us. The lobster and rolls were fresh and very tasty. Not too mayonnaise-ey like some are. The pie and ice cream were also delicious. The location is easy to get to from downtown Bar Harbor and has a great atmosphere. Best in the good weather however - no indoor seating if you're after it. Staff were super friendly and service was great. Loved this place - highly recommend it.

Everyone was super nice! You get a discount if you use cash vs card. I shared a lobster dinner. My mom and her friend had lobster rolls! The mini is definitely enough chow for one person! Drinks were on the expensive side. $3 for a canned soda! Everything was very delicious! My lobster claw had a lot of meat in it, the other had none. Haha. I got a dysfunctional lobster. You have to stop here for the lobster dinner and lobster rolls! 10/10!

Hands down the best lobster I’ve had — and we ate our way around all of Bar Harbor! We’re total foodies and tried multiple spots, but this one topped them all. The lobster was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. It’s the ideal place to sit outdoors, enjoy the beautiful Maine weather, and pair your meal with an ice-cold beer. A must-visit stop if you’re in Bar Harbor!

I've never had a crab roll before today. The crab roll was delicious. I will order that again and again. The crabmeat to bread ratio was perfect. We also ordered the 1 1/2 lbs lobster dinner which came with corn and steamed mussels. All delicious. It was a bit cool outside, but they have fire pits available to keep you warm and music to keep you singing. Great vibes!!! Thanks for the wonderful customer service.

My husband kept raving about Travelin Lobster—a food truck he heard was cheaper and better but I wanted a full restaurant experience. On our last day, we stopped at Travelin Lobster (1569 ME-102). The lobster roll with coleslaw was heavenly. It was packed with lobster and absolutely lived up to the hype. We shared the blueberry pie, which was very good. It’s not my go-to dessert (I’d pick a flourless chocolate torte any day), but I’m glad we can say we tried authentic Maine blueberry pie. The lobster roll was the best but you have to get it "to go" or eat outside at the picnic tables.

You know it’s good when there’s always a line. Fresh lobster, good beer, what else do you need? The line moves fairly quick if that’s your concern. 100% recommend a stop for some lobster, and try the sampler for a taste of each variety of roll.
Jordan D — Google review
Visited Travelin Lobster on a trip to Acadia National Park and absolutely loved it here! I had highly expectations of this restaurant because it was recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. From the road this restaurant looks like a small shack, but after I parked, then I started to see the charm of the place. There is a main building that you order food from and a separate bar that you can order alcoholic beverages. Travelin Lobster has a rather large menu. It is a bit overwhelming. However, they are known for their hot lobster rolls with hot drawn butter. They have three sizes to choose from - mini, small, and large. I went with the large. I was impressed by how stuffed with lobster the bun was. It was overflowing with goodness! It is also nice that they serve their rolls with a side of potato chips and do not nickel-and-dime you. The seating area is nice. Nothing fancy. Just some tables set up outside with umbrellas as a bit of cover. But I imagine a lot of people are visiting this area for the outdoors. The only drawback to this place is that they close at dusk or sunset. It would have been nice to come here after using the last bit of sun to get in some more hiking. But such a small nitpick to such an exceptional restaurant. It was the best lobster roll I had while I was in Maine!

C-Ray Lobster is a casual, family-owned spot that offers locally sourced lobsters for takeout. You can enjoy your meal at outdoor picnic tables and even order live lobsters to be shipped anywhere. The restaurant also provides a variety of lobster-centered menu items for pickup. Additionally, you can pair your meal with beer or wine, following the updated Maine alcohol take-out policy.
EXCELLENT lobster - SO good that we came back the next day! We ordered 4 boiled soft shell lobsters that we took home to eat for dinner. They were absolutely fabulous. So tender, flavorful and juicy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend

Rating: 5/10 Date Last Visited: 8/17/2025 We ordered the Lobster Dinner for Two, Lobster Roll ($30), Clam Chowder ($10), and Blueberry Pie. The lobster itself was decent, but the lobster was a bit small and there wasn’t much meat. The mussels and corn that came with the lobster was good. The lobster roll was pretty solid, but I thought the bagged potato chips were a bit lazy (would prefer homemade chips or fries). The clam chowder was good too, it was savory and I could really taste the clam flavor. The blueberry pie was decent but too sweet. There’s plenty of outdoor seating and the service is solid. Overall, this place is great if you’re in the area and want a lobster meal, but it’s a bit pricey for the taste and quantity.

I read about this place in a blog, and they said that this was a really great place to visit. It definitely didn’t disappoint, and everyone was very friendly from the cook to the cashier. We ordered mussels and a whole lobster combo. They do not have very many gluten-free options, but they did mention that they will be doing that soon. The potato salad was a good gluten-free option and we ate that with the mussels. The food was very delicious and we highly recommend this place.

Casual hangout space with ample seating, some yard games and a fire pit, friendly staff, clean spaces, and most importantly amazing food. Lobster roll was heavy on the lobster, light on the sauce, delicious toasted bun, and the crab roll was equally fantastic. Great experience!
Andrew G — Google review
Lobster roll didn’t have a ton of meat. Meat was overcooked and mostly tiny scraps with little claw meat. Deceptive to say it comes with melted butter but is in fact oil of some sort with no butter flavor. Came cold and wasn’t hardened so I knew it wasn’t real butter. Didn’t taste anything like butter either. Weird way to cheap out. I was hesitant to post a bad review of C-Ray since it is a well-known place, but tried Red’s and McLoon’s today and they are SOOO much better! Reds gave triple the lobster meat of C-Ray and had real, hot butter. Don’t waste your money at C-Ray

Probably the BEST cold lobster roll I had on Mt. Desert Island with their chive mayo. Bonus is that they give you a wedge of lemon on the side unlike some other places I've visited. Very clean facilities with options for both outdoor and indoor seating. Definitely check this place out if you're in town!

Out door venue serving Lobster and other seafood. I had clam chowder and a grilled cheese sandwich. The grilled cheese was very good, the chowder was ok, but being in Maine I kind of expected great chowder. I also got blueberry pie for dessert and it was delicious.

Very expensive for a place in a gravel parking lot where food is delivered to your picnic table in a styrofoam clamshell. Employees were pleasant. The naked lobster roll tasted good. At these prices I won’t be returning.

The Terrace Grille is a seasonal waterfront restaurant located at the Bar Harbor Inn, offering a picturesque dining experience with coastal views. The menu features fresh seafood, healthy salads, and hearty sandwiches, complemented by an extensive selection of local brews. It is a favorite spot for casual lunches and dinners, providing guests with the opportunity to savor local Maine cuisine while enjoying the refreshing sea breeze. Additionally, it offers a more family-friendly atmosphere compared to the glamorous Reading Room within the hotel.
A fantastic experience!! The food presentation is delightful. Service was top notch for such a busy afternoon. The staff works well together and nobody seemed rushed. This was my first time here. It will not be the last. Breathtaking views from the outside patio area... Love this place!!!

Saturday, July 2025: My husband and I traveled from Wisconsin to Maine and wanted an authentic lobster experience on the water. We liked the outdoor dining setting at The Terrace Grille so opted to have lunch there outside. We went there at 1PM on a Saturday and were seated right away. We didn't get a table right next to the edge but we could see the water perfectly from our seats. Our waiter was very friendly but he, and most of the staff, were transplants. Our waiter told us he didn't know where lobsters came from until he recently moved here. lol For an appetizer, we shared the Crab & Appetizer Dip. It was delicious!!! Definitely not healthy but we didn't care, we ate most of it. Tip: eat it while it's hot! It's definitely not good cold. For lunch, I had the Bar Harbor Lobster Cobb salad and my husband had the Steamed Maine Lobster. My salad was amazing! The lobster was fresh, tender, and overall the flavors of the salad went well together with the honey citrus dressing. My husband wasn't crazy about his lobster, he said the meal was acceptable but the lobster was overcooked.

Came here on a lark with no reservations so waited just long enough to have a smoked blueberry margarita. Best decision of the day. View goes very with lobster pappardelle. Hubs had steamed lobster plate. Both dishes amazing. Restaurant is on the shore path so an after dinner stroll is a must. Friendly and accommodating to my service dog os always appreciated.

The best part about dining at The Terrace Grill is the view across the harbor toward Bar Island. It’s stunning. Next is the service. Our server, Kim, did an excellent job balancing checking on us and giving us space. She paid special attention to details with our order and answered our questions about the harbor and the community. Finally, the food was very good and well presented. My wife had the Blueberry salad with Salmon which was outstanding. I had the fish tacos with grilled haddock and they were quite tasty. The sauce and salsa had excellent flavor. The fish was a little dry. The prices were quite reasonable and I would definitely go back.
William T — Google review
I honestly expected better from this place. The food was average probably the least tastiest food I’ve had in bar harbor. The plating was nice. I had the lobster bruschetta which had way too much mayo, was not great. The haddock sandwich which was good but a little spicy. Fish tacos which were not that great. Cesar salad was drenched in dressing. I had 2 bites and had to send it back. The service was not great either, workers would go the other way when you’re clearly trying to get their attention. I had to literally get up to get the workers attention for things I needed. The views are amazing though. I would only come here for drinks.
B S — Google review
Best restaurant in Bar Harbor. I’m still dreaming about the Lobster Bisque and Lobster Rolls. Bisque was hot and tasty. Roll was sturdy and didn’t fall apart. Also best blueberry pie and ice cream we had. And the atmosphere of being under the umbrellas next to the water was perfect.
Angel S — Google review
Sometimes you have to sacrifice food quality in exchange for an amazing view of the water, but not in this case. We loved our entrees here, especially the lobster pappardelle. Unfortunately, they didn’t nail the ending, as the blueberry pie tasted like store-bought …and stale. I would still return, though, the view is absolutely stunning!

Had the lobster bisque. Went with the bowl. Good choice. It was very good. Followed up with the traditional lobster role. Highly recommend adding the spicy butter on the side. Took everything over the top. Will come back.

Rose Eden Lobster is a charming seafood eatery known for its live or cooked lobster and outdoor dining. It's celebrated as the top classic Maine lobster shack, offering an authentic taste of Maine's renowned lobsters. The menu includes not only seafood but also vegetarian and gluten-free options. With lovely views of Frenchman Bay, this casual restaurant serves up a variety of lobster dishes, from rolls to bisque and broiled tails.
Hands down the best lobster roll. We tried a bunch of other places during our time here and nothing else compares. We enjoyed both the regular and Cajun style rolls. Definitely worth the price! The corn is great and so is their lemonade!! Highly recommend!

Lobsters were cooked perfectly and very fresh. Clams looked questionable but tasted heavenly. Corns were divine, my mom's favorite! All outdoor dining and once you place the order, they start cooking. No pre-cooked food. It takes about 25 min. Atmosphere were ok, nothing fancy, the menus were all written by hands. Over all, it was very pleasant service, warm atmosphere, reasonable price and heavenly food. Definitely will come back and highly recommended.
Saerom K — Google review
This is the best lobster I've had in a long time. This restaurant has limited hours, plan accordingly. They have both sofshell and hardshell lobsters. I had to ask what was the difference. He gave a detailed answer. The lobsters can be ordered by size. Muscles accompany the lobster. Corn on the cob was fresh. Everything was very good. They have local and domestic beers. There's limited seating, matched with limited parking. This place is popular, come early. There is an outside sink with hot/cold water to wash your hands. There's hand soap next to the sink.
Ray C — Google review
This isn't same place as last year as Rose and husband retired. This is a one man shop lobster place. Rolls are $38 and lobster $27 per pound. Not sure why all the high ratings as expensive. All lobsters and fish come from local fisherman (they don't do it themselves). Really shouldn't be rising on past reviews

I saw a recent review that stated that a change in ownership had been for the worse. Not true. My wife and I've eaten at this lobster pound under both owners and it remains the best. We ate there a few nights ago. The lobster was outstanding, but I was equally impressed by the clam chowder and both of us raved about the corn. The young man who'd served us said that they'd just bought a batch of fresh corn from a local farmer, rather than sourcing it from a much cheaper source. We could taste the difference. I loved the lobster 3 yrs ago when a woman ran the pound, selling lobster supplied by her husband. I rated her operation with 5 stars too, but I don't recall that she offered clam chowder or Atlantic Brewing blueberry ale. So give this lobster pound a try. You won't be disappointed.

Great seafood shack. Food was out of this world! I had lobster, corn and corn and crab chowder... Oh so good. And the lobster was sweet and delicious. My guy had steamed clams and muscles... Loved them both. No indoor seating, but that's party of the whole "lobster shack" experience. I definitely recommend this establishment.
Jennifer F — Google review
It’s outdoor picnic table dining. The BEST place to eat lobster. We ordered 2 soft shelled 1.5 lb lobsters. They came with small potatoes and the best unhusked ears of corn we ever had. We passed on the steamers. The lobster was amazing! Seems it tastes a lot better when it’s steamed over ocean water!! Highly recommended!!
John K — Google review
The lobster was so fresh that I watched him pull it out of the basket alive. Not too much mayo so the taste really shown through. Prices were comparable with close by places but with no line

Project Social Kitchen & Bar is a charming spot in downtown Bar Harbor, Maine, offering sophisticated tapas, crêpes, and craft cocktails. The restaurant features sidewalk seating and a beautiful garden setting with dog-friendly options. Its patio creates a natural paradise ambiance with mossy waterfalls and fairy lights. The menu includes miso-dressed kale, brussels, duck tacos with green apple salsa verde, and refreshing cocktails like the Pineapple Express and Strawberry Fields.
We found this restaurant kind of randomly on our vacation, and it was the best meal we had in Bar Harbor by FAR!! Friendly staff that immediately offered us blankets and heaters on a cold night, whimsical garden atmosphere, delicious cocktails in beautiful glassware, and incredible food in a variety of cuisines. The plating and presentation was gorgeous, backed up by mouth watering tapas that kept us wanting more! The servers/kitchen did a great job coursing everything out so we had the perfect rotation of flowing food for the entire hour we were there. And they got us out on time so we could make it to our next activity! Highly recommend and can’t wait to return someday.
Lyndsey M — Google review
Project Social had fantastic food; they served us creative dishes that still felt cohesive. The standouts were the crab cakes, lobster crepe, and the pork belly. The crab cakes were probably the best I've ever had - so crabby and packed with sweet seafood flavor. The lobster crepe was great as well, since it turns out that lobster, pancetta, and butternut squash go great together. The pork belly was fork tender and served over a crispy polenta cake. The other dishes were amazing too! I will say that to get full at this spot you'll be dropping a good amount of money. In my eyes it's money well spent though edit: 30 minutes after posting the above glowing review from my experience last night, I went back again for some light eats and had a pretty horrible experience. The food was still good, but we were seated on the left side of the restaurant, the "bar" area. This area is completely unattended with absolutely zero service - we never got even a water. We went up to the window to order and the bartenders were so busy that I stood there for about 10 minutes before being spoken to - and that was the first and last time I spoke to a staff member tonight. Considering the price of the food, this area really should have the attention of at least one server - even if it's intended to be more "bar" style. It really left a bad impression on me and I'm not sure I'll be coming back any time soon.

I've traveled the world and dined everywhere from hidden gems in Athens to Michelin-starred kitchens in Paris — and Project Social Kitchen & Bar in Bar Harbor belongs in the top 1% of all those experiences. This spot is an absolute standout. Cocktails: Next-Level Mixology Their cocktail game is elite. We sampled: Blue My Mind – A flavor bomb with blueberry and lavender that was somehow both bold and smooth. Social Contract Martini – Sophisticated, herbal, and perfectly balanced. Red Kryptonite – Powerful and unforgettable. One of the best cocktails I’ve ever had, full stop. Each one was expertly crafted and worthy of any NYC or Paris bar scene. Dishes That Deliver The food? A culinary joyride. Every plate was as beautiful as it was flavorful: Beef Skewers: Tender, smoky, with a peanutty chili sauce and sesame hit — perfectly charred. Butternut Squash Soup: Velvet texture, deep flavor, garnished with edible petals — art in a bowl. Root Veggie Platter: Roasted to perfection and plated like fine art. Carnitas Tacos: Bright, bold, with just the right kick. Pork Belly: The coup de grâce — melt-in-your-mouth richness atop crispy polenta cornbread, swimming in a sticky glaze that was absolutely addictive. Sweet Ending We capped it all off with an Affogato — the perfect contrast of hot and cold, bitter and sweet. A smooth finale to a phenomenal meal. Ambience & Vibe Rustic-chic meets cozy cocktail lounge w/ Black Rabbit (IFYKYK) subtle vibes. The vintage china, creative plating, and welcoming staff bring it all together in a way that feels both upscale and unpretentious. Final Verdict: If you're in Bar Harbor and skip this place, you're missing out. Project Social isn’t just a meal — it’s an experience. Easily one of the best dinners I’ve had in years.

Love the backyard vibes with the waterfall and cute pond. Food was decent - tasty but not super satisfying. That said, it’s a great place to pregame dinner after a full day of hiking. Service was attentive. They also have good happy hour deals which we don’t really take advantage of. Overall good experience for a pregame or later night spot.

We ate at Project Social twice while in Bar Harbor on vacation and loved it both times. Over those two visits we tried the banh mi toast, prosciutto toast, hummus, scallops, chowder, lamb kofta, and beef skewers. Everything was fun and delicious. I wasn't as impressed with the cocktails I had for the price ($13-16/each) but I enjoyed sitting outside and taking in the cool ambiance.

Service and food were excellent. Enjoyed the scallops, lamb, butternut squash soup and blueberry crepe. Everything was excellent and the staff were so nice. Visited twice during our trip, enjoyed the beer garden and the dinner side!

We LOVED this place for cocktails and appetizers! Great outdoor patio area and amazing food and drinks! The lamb dish was probably our favorite, but we loved them all!

The food was amazing! The scallops were the best I've ever had! We also had the Mediterranean mezza which was a very generous portion and delicious. It was fun to mix different flavors with each bite. The atmosphere was very nice and feels private even though it's on the main street in Bar Harbor.

Abel's Lobster is a seasonal lobster and clam house offering casual dining with waterfront seating on a natural fjord. Situated on a nub extending into Somes Sound, it buzzes with activity during summer nights as patrons enjoy drinks from the outside bar while kids and dogs play around. The open-air kitchen allows guests to watch lobsters being cooked before enjoying them at tables set across the sloping lawn. The mid-century wood-walled dining room provides picturesque views from every table.
We have been going to Southwest Harbor for many years, but had never tried Abel's. We are so glad we did - we even went back a second time during our trip! The setting is lovely and the service is very friendly. Upscale food, no tourist rip-offs. The fried clams were excellent, as were the hand-cut fries. The salads were also a stand out with fresh local vegetables. Highly recommended!

Be prepared to wait - arrived around 6:30 on a Wednesday with a group of 6. Waited around an hour for a table. They have an outdoor bar and high top seating where you can grab a drink and play corn hole while you wait. Beautiful harbor - great place to watch a sunset while enjoying a meal. Check out the yacht yard adjacent to the restaurant - cool boats. Service was helpful and friendly. Our group liked our food - highlights were the corn bread (a must try!!) lobster Mac and cheese and wedge salad. Recommend this restaurant but be cautious of the weather as most seating is outdoors and it started the rain as we paid our bill which caused all guests to try to huddle indoors which was a little bit of a mess / crowded. Make sure you’re visiting on a clear night, or opt for indoor seating if rain is in the forecast!
Kristina I — Google review
This WAS one of my favorite lobster pounds in the Bar Harbor area. The location on the water with sunset views and an outdoor bar, seating, games, and fireplace creates an unmatched ambience. Usually there is a wait at dinner time, especially for indoor seating. Food this year was eh. Oysters were smaller than in prior years. Lobster roll was not good. The bun is too big and too toasted. Fries were also not good. The curry the mussels were in was incredible, and the cornbread and chowder were also excellent. But I was disappointed the quality of the lobster roll was so poor this year, given it’s a lobster pound. I would absolutely come here for the ambience but I will now be going to other lobster pounds if I want a good lobster roll.

We tried Abel’s based on a google search and it did not disappoint. We sat outside on the little bar looking over the harbor. A spot I highly recommend as the view was beautiful and the seats were shaded. Stopped in for a late lunch/ early dinner in September and there was no wait. The fries were terrific. We actually ordered a second round for dessert. Of course we had the soft shell lobster -YUM. We could not leave Maine without a lobster meal. This is a spot you cannot skip while in Acadia.

Dinner here was one of our best memories from our Maine vacation in July! We didn't have reservations, but were seated quickly at this counter that faced the dining room and the water. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food - particularly the fish and chips were absolutely delicious. Perfectly crispy - they struck the right balance with a nice crunchy batter and a moist tender fish inside. Accompanying fries were also very good. The salad was fine. I wish we had been there longer than just a few days; I would very much like to have had a chance to return and try more of the yummy looking menu items and sit outside for a meal. Highly recommend.
Jackie A — Google review
Such a fun place to eat seafood! The vibes are so warm, friendly and casual while still being really high-quality food. The lobster rolls are good here, though I personally prefer the crab rolls. Sooo much crab meat and so little anything else! Heavenly. Our waitress, Di, was so much fun, I made the whole dining experience a joy for us. She also gave us some really good recommendations off the menu! (The brussels sprouts are so delightful. You barely know their brussels sprouts…) It was dark when we had dinner here, so I would definitely go back to enjoy the incredible view — if you go in the summer, absolutely dine outside!

Went here for lunch at the recommendation of a friend & loved it so much that we went back for dinner. The service & food were excellent! Mussels - yes! Lobster roll - yes! Lobster Mac n cheese - YES! Cornbread - yes! Blueberry pie - yes! House-made breads & local ingredients with a great view. Did I mention we loved it?

My husband and I stopped here for our last night on the island. I was eager to get lobster one more time. The host was kind enough to find us a spot on the tail end of a very busy night for them. The lobster was the BEST!! It was a soft shell... Perfectly cooked and the meat was so tender and sweet. We also had fantastic lonneck clams that were caught locally that day. Our waitress, Sandy took great care of us, gave us great background on the fresh seafood and was just really sweet. We also had the lobster bisque, a great salad and some tasty and unique cocktails - Liquid Gold and a lobster martini. The location was BEAUTIFUL, which just topped off the whole experience. When we come back to Acadia, we will be stopping here again. Thank you!

Reel Pizza Cinerama is a unique single-screen movie house located in downtown Bar Harbor, near the village green. It has been a popular spot for both locals and tourists for over two decades. The cinema offers a cozy setting with mismatched couches and counter seats where patrons can enjoy hand-tossed pizza with an extensive selection of toppings, including vegan and gluten-free options.
We had cold, rainy weather while in Bar Harbor and a restaurant waiter recommended we check out Reel Pizza for a rainy day activity. He said it can’t quite be described, and that you just have to experience it yourself. He was right! Such a cool place! We had never experienced a theatre like this set up with actual couched and diner-like counters between each row of seats. The pizza was actually pretty good and the seats were comfortable. They provide a 7 minute intermission halfway through the movie which was nice to get popcorn and use the bathroom. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxed or indoor activity while visiting Bar Harbor/ Acadia National Park! Most affordable meal in town!

Possibly my favorite movie theater ever? The pizza is phenomenal, the theater is cozy, you get an intermission to run to the bathroom, and I can get a pitcher of diet pepsi for only $7, what more could you need? Not to mention, the movie tickets are extremely cheap for today's economy. I literally come here to see movies I have no interest in just for the vibes. Also, the staff members are always so pleasant and helpful!

The pizza crew was excellent! We only had a few minutes before our bus. They made some pizzas quickly, gave us popcorn, and they were so friendly! The vibe is awesome! Comfy couches. Bummed we were in a hurry, would love to have stayed and enjoyed the theater.

Maybe the best attraction in Bar Harbor You may have one of these in your home town, but we don't. A nice little movie theater, but there are couches with TV trays, and then the regular Cinema seats have every other row removed with counters in front of the seats. So you can order pizza right there, and eat it during the movie, just like you were at home. And the pizza was pretty darn good, too!

Nestled in a serene corner of the Stadium, Coffee Hound Coffee Co. is a beloved local spot known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious brews. The cafe takes pride in thoughtfully sourcing and locally roasting their beans to ensure top-notch quality in every cup. Whether you're craving an expertly crafted espresso or a smooth cold brew, this award-winning coffee supplier has got you covered.
I came here a couple times while visiting Bar Harbor. I'm a plain latte guy, and there's was 6.5/10 quality for me. I think they focus more on the speciality drinks, and have a very good-looking menu for those. The precipice latte (white mocha with blueberry) I had was a little on the sweet side, but the espresso and flavors still came through strongly, so I liked it quite a bit. The bakery looks amazing.. cookies, pies, donuts, scones, etc. Of course I had to give the blueberry pie a try when in Maine. It was solid; it had a very tasty, buttery, and rich crust, and the filling was pretty decent and abundant. The place also doubles as a carryout restaurant that serves lobster rolls, bfast sandwiches, and crepes. There's no sitting space. Overall, I was pleased with this place and I'd recommend it to anybody visiting Bar Harbor. I think they open earlier than most other coffee shops in town, so it's a treat to my fellow early birds!

Cute place with decent coffee and great donuts. I recommend any of the blueberry pastries, the donut was fresh and tasted like a blueberry muffin in donut form. The mac n cheese was not the best but still a fine snack. Food and drinks came out pretty quick and its nice that they use buzzers

Stopped in for coffee and came out with much more than that! We both got hot lattes, they weren’t out of the ordinary and were really on the sweet side. They had a lot of great signature latte flavors, though! They also have a lot of hot, tasty treats. It was hard to decide, but we got a popover with blueberry jam, a Belgian waffle, and a blueberry donut. The blueberry jam was flavorful and went perfectly with the hot and fresh popover. The Belgian waffle was covered in a delicious maple butter, and the blueberry donut was moist and flavorful and lives rent free in my head! The only struggle is that there is no seating, and it is very small in there.

I really loved the popovers here better than Jordan Pond House. I ended up buying their popover mix and jam to make at home and it was terrific!
Mykaela S — Google review
The coffee quality here was very disappointing. My husband ordered the Australian white and I tried a latte- both tasted bitter and unpleasant. The barista at the counter was very kind and even remade the drinks for us, but unfortunately the flavor didn’t improve. I couldn’t finish my coffee. It seems the beans may have been over-roasted, which is surprising for a coffee shop in downtown Bar Harbor where you’d expect higher quality. I was also looking forward to the blueberry pie, but it was another letdown. It was served cold, even though I asked if it could be warmed up, with no crust on the bottom, and lacked the flavor and texture I’d hoped for. I honestly don’t understand the rave reviews about it. Overall, between the disappointing coffee and blueberry pie, I would not return.

we came here for coffee pretty much every morning during our trip to Bar Harbor - the lattes were so good, especially The Precipice (blueberry & white chocolate), & while we had originally planned to try a few different coffee spots we ended up loving Coffee Hound so much we kept coming back. Pizza restaurant
Pat's Pizza is a great place to go for pizza and other comfort food in a casual setting. They have outdoor seating, a bar, and regular TV sports coverage. The crust was the standout here - it was crispy and delicious with great cheese and sauce.
Stopped in for a lunch snack. The bbq chicken nachos were delicious. Really good bbq sauce, had onions and green peppers which was a nice touch. Need to go back and try the pizza.

We stopped in for some pizza & wings around lunchtime on a Monday - the place was fairly empty but we sat right away & got waters. We ordered buffalo wings & a large margherita pizza. Wings definitely needed more sauce, very dry on the outside but still decent inside. The pizza was disappointing, not cooked long enough, very chewy and doughy. No crisp to the crust at all & it was definitely not a margherita pizza as you can see from my photos. We did finish our meal but won’t be back. Cook the pizza longer and use mozzarella cheese and fresh basil for the pizza. Wondering if we just got them on a bad day or what considering the other 5 star reviews but wanted to be honest with our experience!

I love Pat's Pizza! Not only is the food great but the owners and employees are wonderful too. Don't miss Pat's Pizza when you are in Bar Harbor and Acadia. They can do large orders too, ask for Jason and Georgia. We planned a rehearsal dinner from out of state and then had it at Schoodic Institute and hour away. They made the process so easy, I just can't say enough about them.

Food, drinks, service, atmosphere - ALL 1000/10!!!! The pizza is delicious but the curry goat is AMAZING. Nothing here is disappointing. Super friendly and welcoming service, there is a pool table downstairs so it’s a very relaxed and happy vibe. Love the reggae music. We’re from Indiana but we would drive all the way back to Maine just for this restaurant alone. We’ll be back!

The pizza was pretty good, no crust on the bottom but the toppings are pretty good. We ordered takeout, and it was pretty clear to us they didn't start cooking anything until we got there (about 5 minutes past the estimated time we were told over the phone while ordering). It wouldn't have been so frustrating, but the only person working the entire shop kept telling us we were "almost" ready for 15 minutes. We also found it to be very hot in the restaurant, they have AC units but all were off. This is probably the best pizza in the area but that's not saying much, and we were glad we ordered takeout so we didn't have to eat hot pizza in a hot restaurant on a hot day.

Despite its low price point, the food was one of the best restaurants in Bar Harbor. We enjoyed the sausage pizza, Caribbean jerk chicken salad, spaghetti with meatballs and a generous 8 oz hamburger with cheddar and bacon. The service was great, professional and polite. We ended up going there 3 times. Especially after whole days hiking and biking. This is a great Italian restaurant with a Caribbean twist.

Such a gem of a place! We just move to Bar Harbor recently, and so glad that we found our pizza and wings go to already! Also, a big shout out to our server Tenica- she definitely made us feel more at home here. Thank you for your kindness. Will be regulars here for sure!

This is a small place but the food is so good. I had a calzone and enjoyed it very much. My family member had a pizza which was good also. We are glad we stopped here for a meal.

Great Subway! The guy that made my sandwich did a great job and was super friendly!!! Best sandwich at a great price! Highly recommend! Other places charge $25 plus for average food. No thanks! subway all the way!

Looks good on the menu but here’s what you get in bar harbor

I ordered a sub from Nick that had sweet onion sauce in only the middle of the sub. Then the sub wasn’t wrapped nearly properly leading to me dropping my sub. It took 15-20 minutes just to get a sub with no line there. I have had good experiences there. Recently this year, overall subway has gotten worse. I wrote this review because I don’t want someone else to have an experience that bad.

Subways are subways, I go for a quick tuna sub everywhere. Writing this review to highlight the girl working here. Awesome person, working tirelessly. She had to make 10 subs back to back before she catered me. She recognized me as a Muslim by looking at me and then automatically, without me requesting, she changed her gloves and got clean knives to avoid any cross contamination with other meats. Appreciate her comprehension and respect. Hats off to her.

Very bad service!!! The manager, Heather, was very rude. We had a party of eleven so I think she was just upset to make so many hoagies. My daughter rang the bell by accident so she snatched the bell out of her hand. I mean come on at least be nice to kids! Since there were so many of us and the place was tiny, kids opened the door twice. So she was mad again and told us not to open the door since the AC was on. Very disrespectful staff.

Suprised at reviews written. We had ordered 5 subs to take to Acadia Park for hiking. Made to what we requested and gentleman worker very friendly. We even gave him a tip as it was well deserved

The Lettuce they have is red , old and horrid looking, the onions are cut with the core included, all of the ingredients on display do not look well at all.I had a sandwich so bad today it made me second guess what I was doing with my life. And the only reason I ate it is because I had no other choice.....

Well.. This is not a friendly subway and guess they were overworked due to long weekend and were cranky serving the never ending line of customers. The management needs to be better and a simple thought of long weekend should hint them to have more staff and more than two options in bread choices. Our vegitable subs were overstuffed and had sauces leaking. I guess that's what happenes when serving in cranky mood!

West Eden Pizza is a fantastic little pizza shop near Acadia National Park that offers delicious and affordable bites. The margarita pizza features a thin crust with the right amount of sauce, cheese, and fresh basil, while the breadsticks are perfectly cooked with a nice cheesy center and crispy exterior. Visitors praise the friendly staff and highly recommend this place for its great crust, flavorful toppings, and excellent service.
Perfect Pizza Post Acadia Park. This is a mom and pop Pizza joint. Mostly doing takeout but with a few outdoor picnic tables. No indoor dining. Weather was great, So we dined outside. Nothing fancy. Just great pizza. They had a special of the night: The hot honey Hawaiian pizza which was delish.
Kenneth P — Google review
Been here a few times. Staff are nice and the pizza is excellent, no complaints All the same, I got short-changed the other day in terms of size. Ordered a 16'' pizza. It came to $22.68 with tax. Got home and discovered the supposedly 16'' pie was barely 14'' in diameter. Surface-wise, that's a difference of almost 50 square inches. (To be precise, I got 154 square inches at best...and paid for 201 square inches. So that's a quarter of my pizza that just "vanished." Not cool at all.) See photo. The box interior is exactly 16 inches side to side. The pizza, not so much. Probably an honest mistake. Next time, though, I'm going to open the box right at the cash register and verify that I'm receiving the amount of food I ordered and am paying for. I suggest you do the same. Life is expensive enough without this nonsense.

Pizza was tasty- crust had a good crunch to it but unfortunately all the toppings were sliding off so it was difficult to eat and a little bit on the greasy side. Has some cute seating in the back with ice cream next door
Isabella D — Google review
Amazing Pizza! So nice to have a pizza that's not all doughy. Toppings are fresh and delicious. We will be back. This was a wonderful 1st impression. Staff are so friendly and the BBQ Chicken Pizza is fantastic! So good by the time I realized I should take a picture the Pizza was almost gone! ***Came back and got the 4 cheese pizza and 2 cannoli's! DELICIOUS! MY FAVORITE PIZZA IN BAR HARBOR!
Laura N — Google review
This is not your average pizza place (or what counts for average in central Massachusetts where we come from) My family arrived at a rental on a Saturday and since we still needed to shop for the week when it got to be dinner time I looked for a place close by that was still open. I ordered from West Eden through Square and it wasn't until I got the confirmation text that I learned it would take 45 minutes to be ready. Like I said, the average pizza place where I come from can complete an order in about 20 minutes. So, not sure if the staff was having an off night, and the pizza I had was pretty good, but I would recommend that if an order for 4 people is going to take more than 20 minutes, or orders are backed up, there should be a clear message before an order is placed!
Kat L — Google review
Cute place with outdoor seating. Staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered a small pizza and sub to go. The Italian sub (we ordered it hot) was incredible. Exactly what it should be. Yum yum yum. Pizza smelled amazing and had a great quality crust, but we didn’t like the cheese mix. Seems like they add some type of yellow cheese (cheddar?) that doesn’t belong on pizza. But the basics are there, so we’d absolutely go back and just order a bit differently.
Barbara S — Google review
I get takeout from these guys several times per week. The food is exceptional. Everything I’ve tried has been solid, but the meatball sub’s got me borderline addicted — perfect meatball consistency, delicious sauce and fresh bread — so good! They’re family owned and operated and it shows— service standard always held high.
Wilton G — Google review
No inside seating, but small seating area outside. Doesn’t matter. Pizza was fantastic. Steve’s Supreme was top-notch and the wife loved their special Hawaiian with hot honey.
