Specialty Museums
The Cole Land Transportation Museum in Bangor, Maine is a captivating destination for enthusiasts of vintage vehicles and transportation history. Founded by Earl E. Cole in 1956, the museum's mission is to preserve and showcase a diverse array of land transportation equipment from Maine's past. Visitors can explore an extensive collection that includes antique cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles, military vehicles spanning from World War II to the Vietnam War era, as well as farm equipment and even bicycles.
Cole Land Transportation Museum – A Must-See Stop in Bangor! During a trip to Bangor earlier in 2025, I stopped at the Cole Land Transportation Museum—and it ended up being one of the best parts of the visit. I was welcomed right away by two fellow veterans volunteering at the front, and that connection alone made the experience more meaningful. I also received a handcrafted Maine maple walking stick—a thoughtful gift the museum gives to veterans as a way to honor their service and offer something lasting to take home. Inside, the museum holds an impressive collection of land transportation history—antique snowplows, fire trucks, tractors, military vehicles, and more. From restored Model Ts to equipment used in Maine’s logging and farming industries, everything is well displayed with clear signage and wide walkways to explore at your own pace. I also learned more about the museum’s background. It was founded by Galen Cole, a WWII veteran and trucking company owner, who wanted to preserve local transportation history while also honoring veterans and educating future generations. That mission really comes through as you walk through the exhibits—it’s more than just old equipment. The volunteers shared how committed the museum is to veteran outreach and education. They mentioned how the museum hosts school groups, military reunions, and community events that promote patriotism and civic responsibility. Outside, there’s a Vietnam-era Huey helicopter and an M60 tank surrounded by plaques and flags in a memorial area that’s both quiet and powerful. Admission was very reasonable, and the visit was absolutely worth it. Whether you’re into history, vehicles, or just looking for something different in the Bangor area, I highly recommend stopping here. I’d go back without hesitation.

Loved this museum. It was amazing to see all the parts of history. Thank you so much for all the time and collections you have put together for our enjoyment!!

This place is amazing has actual big rig trucks an old train that u can walk all through among many other amazing things. Price to enter isn’t bad either. Kids under a certain age get in for free.
Linda G — Google review
Small and mighty! Spent an hour and half looking at so much history that is mainly acquired and restored from local sources! Bonus scavenger hunts for all ages if you're into that. Well displayed and maintained.
Lindsey — Google review
This is an awsome little museum, with lots of stuff packed into the building. We stopped in while exploring the area and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and eager to answer questions. The layout is great and easy to wonder around in
Ken D — Google review
Excellent exhibit. Our guide Jim was a added bonus. Great job glad we stopped
Charles M — Google review
This was an impromptu stop rather early in the morning, so I didn't visit the museum, but just getting to visit the outside things was worth the detour.
Stacey M — Google review
Amazing! I went for an event for my grandchildren and truly enjoyed every minute. It is so fascinating and I am not interested in vehicles at all. Just not my thing. The children had so much fun with the event and the scavenger hunt throughout the museum. They looked at everything there trying to find the pieces on the scavenger hunt pictures. The museum is AMAZING and I can't wait to go back.

Located in downtown Bangor, the Maine Discovery Museum is a three-level interactive educational space designed to inspire young minds through hands-on learning. The museum features exhibits on various topics including science, engineering, art, literature, and nature. Families can enjoy unique events and programs at this children's museum which offers activities such as digging for dinosaur bones, exploring 'Goodnight Moon,' singing in the Karaoke Studio, climbing a treehouse, peeking inside a beaver lodge and meeting live reptiles.
The Maine Discovery Museum is such a gem for families! It’s full of thoughtful, interactive rooms that invite kids to play, explore, and learn in really creative ways. Every space is designed with care, and there’s so much variety that children of all ages can find something to enjoy. I especially loved the Goodnight Moon-themed room, such a sweet and cozy space that brought the classic book to life. It’s clear the museum puts a lot of heart into making it a magical experience. Highly recommend for locals and visitors alike!
Christi H — Google review
It was a wonderful experience! Although we discovered that our son was just a bit too short for some of the play areas, we made the most of it, and he had an amazing time. I highly recommend visiting during the fall or winter when the weather is cooler. WE will definitely go again when he a little bigger
Kaylie R — Google review
It was our first time here and we will definitely be back the next time we are up to visit family! We spent three hours here with our little one. Your admission is good for the entire day, until close, so you can leave and come back.
Stephanie T — Google review
This is a wonderful place. We only allotted ourselves about an hour and a 1/2, which honestly as many floors and exhibits as they have children can't really dive deep into play. So I would recommend packing a good lunch and some snacks and preparing yourselves to be there for a few hours. So they can really explore their imaginative play.
Christine S — Google review
What a fun surprise it was to stumble upon this place with an almost 4 year old. I wasn't sure what to expect but the exhibits were so fun and well thought out - my daughter did NOT want to leave. Great job to the staff that maintains and runs everything - there is something for every kid.
Kathleen L — Google review
The Discovery Museum is a favorite for our kiddos and it's usually clean, well maintained, and the staff are pleasant. I do wish they'd occasionally add to or change up the exhibits. We've been going for years and it's been largely the same for the last several years. Given the amount of business it gets, and the repeat local visitors, it'd be nice to have some exhibits swapped out, or even have a special "exhibit of the month". That would draw in folks to visit again.
Ashley N — Google review
We love the children's museum. It has enough variety to keep children from various ages very happy! Everything is clean and tidy, and the staff is exceptional. It is a friendly, caring, and informative place to be.
Gwen S — Google review
Great place to take the grandkids. Enjoyed watching a very interesting discussion and showing of a snake a lizard like creature and a turtle. The kids got to touch each creature. There were three floors of hands on experiences. The center is not as big inside as it looks like from the outside. It was not real crowded which made it fun

Mount Hope Cemetery Corp. & Crematory in Bangor, Maine is the second oldest garden cemetery in the United States, designed by architect Charles G. Bryant in 1834. The cemetery spans over 250 acres and offers a serene atmosphere for reflection and exploration of Maine's history through its well-maintained paths and historic monuments. Visitors can join guided tours to learn about the town's history or simply take a leisurely stroll around the beautiful grounds.
Immaculately kept, huge amount of history. Such a peaceful place to visit. Being keen horror watchers, the Stephen King aspect was also of interest to us. This was not frowned upon at all by the staff. They even supplied us with a map pointing to the points of interest on the subject. If you are near here, it is a great place to take some time out and learn a lot.
Nick D — Google review
Beautiful cemetery. Well keep. Nice place to drive through and stop for a little tour.
Teresa M — Google review
This is a must see destination for any fan of Stephen King! The cemetery is well maintained, large and very beautiful. The groundskeepers were friendly and not at all phased by a couple of movie/literature nerds roaming the grounds! Just make sure you are being respectful! The hunt for the famous markers that lead to inspiration for the novels “Carrie” and “It” were fun to explore the grounds for! Seeking spots where parts of Pet Sematary were filmed was even more fun! We paid our due respects to the residents and left with some neat photos. Highly recommend this stop for fans! Please, please, just be mindful and respectful.
Krystle P — Google review
An insane amount of history here. If you love walking around cemeteries, just know that this one is huge. I was there a couple hours on a hot day and only scratched the surface before my water was gone. It is clearly cared for, albeit dry like the rest of the area. I stayed in what I believe are the oldest sections. Some of the headstones are like works of art. So many stories here dating back well over 100 years.
Lisa W — Google review
We searched for a lovely, scenic, quiet and historic special spot for our child to rest in peace. We discovered Mt Hope. We decided upon the Scattering Garden Memorial area. Emily and Steve, superintendents, made us welcome in the lodge with an appointment. We were able to pick a garden spot, were assisted with placing our cremains and the Bronze plaque on Memorial Wall is well done. The option was perfect for our family; dignified special, lovely and affordable. Thank you Mt Hope, Emily and Steve. Mt Hope, a historic American garden cemetary is also a peaceful spot to walk or jog on a summer evening with many paths and hills.
JKC M — Google review
Really a beautiful cemetery in its own right - the older section has beautiful monuments and hills and stairs - definitely much more interesting than your average cemetery. If you're a Stephen King fan, you can see where he took some of his names from grave stones, and even places where they shot some of the adaptations that King was in. It's confusing to drive around, but just keep going and you'll find interesting stuff. It'd be a great place to walk if you live here. (Make sure to book sktours for an explanation of the King tie-ins.)
Sara W — Google review
I am not one to venture to cemeteries for fun, but this one was an exception and I am glad I went. This is a very beautiful cemetery and on a pleasant fall day it was very relaxing in the middle of the pandemic. There are some fascinating headstones combined with the tie to the King novel, it just all came together.
Perks A — Google review
The gates that I went to were closed on weekends. This is the gates next to the Koren War memoral and civel war memoral.. this cemetery is the second oldest in the United States after the one in Boston, Ma that it was patterned after. It's called that because of the landscaping with ponds, shrubs and spacing of the graves.

Bangor City Forest, also known as the Rolland F. Perry City Forest, is a peaceful 650-acre recreational area located just 5 miles outside downtown Bangor. It offers a mile-long elevated Orono Bog Boardwalk that showcases the forest's unique ecology. The working forest provides ample trails for hiking, biking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing, making it an ideal destination for outdoor enthusiasts seeking to immerse themselves in Maine's tranquil outdoors.
It's always so nice and peaceful. There are multiple trails including the board walk. Trails are well marked and mapped. When you do run into others in the trail everyone is friendly and nice. There are places to sit, bike trails, a porter potty, and different types of terrain to walk on which is nice. It's a great local getaway.

Such a nice and beautiful place to ride bikes and go for a walk amongst the Wild in maine.
Tay G — Google review
The bog walk was an easy trek with lots to look at along the way. It was shaded on the way in and out, with a sunny section in the middle of the loop. There were a couple of benches throughout where you could take a break and nature watch. Parking was full, but there was an overflow lot.
Michelle K — Google review
I was super impressed with this park. I wish I lived near a park like this! What a gem for the city of Bangor! Lots of well marked trails. Not a lot of elevation if you are looking for a hill workout but great, shaded trails for walking or running. The Bog walk boardwalk is also super nice, well maintained with lots of informational plaques about the environment and wildlife/birds who call the bog home.
Kristen A — Google review
Wonderful big park for easy hiking, trail running, or biking. Tall trees provide lots of shade. Paths are clearly marked with maps posted at intersections. There are primary and secondary trails, so lots of options for exploring. Trails are dog friendly; I had my pup with me, and we saw many others walking their dogs too. Heavily visited park but didn't feel crowded; getting there early is best if you want a quiet secluded walk. My only complaint is that the parking lot I parked in was NOT labeled on the posted maps, so I had to use GPS to make it back to my car.
Lindsey I — Google review
Close to Bangor with lots of trails for all. Great running, biking, and hiking.

A delightful find, near Bangor International Airport. A beautiful 😍 place for a walk while waiting for your flight, when it's too early to check in at the airport, but you've had to check out of your hotel or BNB. One last rendezvous with Maine's beautiful nature and a chance to stretch our leg before our long flight home. Kudos to my husband for finding it online. And yet another chance to learn a few things.

The Paul Bunyan Statue in Bangor, Maine has been a prominent landmark since 1959. Standing at 31 feet tall, this colorful fiberglass statue was a gift from a New York group of builders to commemorate their 125th anniversary. It depicts the legendary lumberjack alongside his blue ox and has become a popular photo spot for visitors. The statue is located in Bass Park and serves as a tribute to Bangor's forestry heritage, attracting thousands of tourists annually.
Parking is iffy. If you’re quick you can get away with parking at the gas station across the way. Simple but quick activity to do with the kids. Fun to see how little they are in comparison to the monstrosity that is Paul Bunyan!
Zandra M — Google review
If you are doing a drive-by, you have the Entertainment so there's no traffic coming. It might be easier to park somewhere to take a picture. We got lucky as it wasn't real busy.
Karen B — Google review
This was a lot larger than I imagined and I really liked it. The statue was in really good condition and the info boards surrounding it are well worth reading as the whole story about the man and the statue is interesting and fun. Well worth a visit if you're nearby and it is only a short walk from the waterfront so the two combined can use up a few hours.
Phil — Google review
Very nice detail on the statue and very informative information on the posts around the statue. The landscaping was a bit unkept, but overall a nice visit.
Nick T — Google review
This is one of the iconic things to do in Bangor, and so we were happy to stop by. We weren’t exactly sure where to park because it is located near a busy street, but once we did, we enjoyed taking pictures of Paul and reading the plaques about the statue.

Casinos & Gambling
Nestled in the vibrant Waterfront District of Bangor, the Hollywood Casino Hotel & Raceway Bangor offers a delightful blend of entertainment and relaxation. This contemporary hotel features cozy rooms and suites, making it an ideal spot for both leisure seekers and gaming enthusiasts. While it may not boast the same grandeur as Las Vegas, this charming casino is one of Maine's few gambling destinations, showcasing an exciting array of slot machines, table games, and a live poker room.
We had a fantastic experience from start to finish! The staff was incredibly attentive, polite, and fast. From the friendly Jack at the front desk, to the welcoming and efficient waitstaff in the restaurant, and the upbeat bartenders in the casino every interaction was top-notch. We had the quesadillas and they were absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The drinks were great too, and the whole dining experience was one of the many a highlights of our stay. The music throughout the evening was upbeat and full of energy we loved it! It really added to the fun and lively atmosphere. We also spent some time in the casino and had a blast playing roulette with Tyson he was friendly, fun, and made the game even more enjoyable. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It’s clear the whole team takes pride in making guests feel welcome and taken care of. We truly enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommended!
Kyle Q — Google review
Great location (we were just passing through on a road trip), casino floor is very very small, but I had no problem finding a spot to sit. Casino hotel and floor is very nice and clean. Hotel room was clean, the bedding and pillows were so comfy! Parking in garage was easy. There is 1 restaurant and 1 cafe on the casino floor. Front desk staff were all friendly.
Jackie P — Google review
Our room wasn’t as clean as it should have been, there was dust everywhere, and we had to call for another blanket because the one in our room had a yellow, crusty stain on it. On a positive note, we really enjoyed the service at Hops House 99, the staff was great, and the food was awesome. We were also told that if we billed our meal to the room, we’d get a $5 credit, which we did. After dinner, we stopped by the small store near check-in to grab some water and snacks. After browsing for several minutes, the woman at the front desk informed us that their system was down and she couldn’t sell us anything. We asked if she could bill it to our room once the system was back up, but she said no. Not a huge deal, we figured we’d just use the two 10 oz complimentary waters in the room. However, upon checkout, I noticed a $10 “amenity charge” on our bill. When I asked about it, I was told it covered the two bottles of water, the $5 dining credit, and “other things.” That honestly felt ridiculous, if I’m paying for it, don’t call it an amenity. All in all, we still had a decent time. It was nice to gamble a little, enjoy some good food, and relax afterward. Would I stay again? Maybe, but only if the price wasn’t over $200 a night, the room was worth $100 tops.
Jolene S — Google review
Needed a last minute place to stay as we were passing through Bangor. Rooms were large and clean. Casino was nice but on the small side. We never had a server come by when we were gambling so I couldn't tell you if the drinks are complimentary or if you need to pay when gambling. Food options at the hotel/casino are limited. We ate at the 99, which I would consider bar'ish type food. Nice enough place would probably stay here again if in the area.
Kent K — Google review
Had a great time here! The slot selection is really solid, lots of new machines along with the classics, so there’s something for everyone. The craps table has a fun, lively vibe with friendly dealers who keep the game moving. Drinks came fast, and the cocktail servers were all super nice and attentive. Definitely one of the better spots in Bangor for a night out with some energy and good luck vibes.
Steve M — Google review
Worst hotel I ever stayed at. They DO NOT SERVICE THE ROOMS. If you want clean towels you need to leave the soiled ones in the hall and hope clean ones are left in their place which we did not know until I complained on our second day. The room temp felt like 65F and the thermostat had no effect on the temp. Charged $10 fee for Amenities that included a Hotel Pantry which is a joke, all items in there are for an additional cost. We stayed for 3 days at $200+ /day and had better service, rooms, free breakfast, and better stay at a $80 Comfort Inn. Never again will I stay there.
Manuel S — Google review
I’m a regular and to be fair I have won and lost probably about the same ! But, the payout when I been gambling high is something to be shocked. Yesterday I was bidding on a 25 cent/ 12.50 bid and had two chances of winning kind of big …. 2 /6 free games … nothing 🥹 it just took my money. I came @ 1130 and left at about 1230 with 1000 🤣 I played the gorilla and I played 10 cent on a 7.50 bet and Won 500 but it was brutal, once I got that it slowly took it back to 200😔 everything was high and the machine was like making it hard to win the jackpots. Totally amazing. I played a lower amount on a machine and it was full ready to let go and I played 2 cents … 1.50 bet won maybe 20 dollars 🤣. Couldn’t get them to pay off . The saying for here is if you don’t leave with what you have they will take it😏 I had won $750 dollars of free slot just back about 6 months ago and they took it back 🥹 not one time did I win…. Doesn’t make sense to even try and use the free win slot 😏

Did the haunted ghost walked and absolutely loved it! Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and fun to listen too! He also had a great sense of humor when random people drove by and yelled out the window. Great activity for local and tourist alike! I learned a lot about Bangor that i never knew before.

I went for the Mt. Hope Cemetery tour this morning. It was a great way to learn about Bangor history and Ryan was incredibly knowledgable. And of course the cemetery Itself is such a pleasant place to walk. I highly recommend this tour. Thank you to the Bangor Historical Society and volunteers.

We had a lovely time visiting for the winter decorations. This years theme was the Nutcracker and the rooms were all well done. It was only $5 and you have access to the first floor which includes 4 rooms, hallway, and small gift shop/museum. You can also vote for your favorite room. I believe our host was Carol(might have the wrong name!) but she was informative and polite. Some cool local history!

We had friends from out of state visit and did Mount hope walking tour. We were greeted by a mom and child. After we all paid and all the others arrived that were touring as well, we were informed that this child who had just finished six grade was guiding the tour because the mom said she was better at it. The child acted like a child throughout the fiasco tour reading from a paper, constantly tripping over all the words, saying she wasn't even going to try and say a lot of them, showing her mom the paper and her mom telling her how to say the words. She was leaning/sitting on the graves, we all could hardly make out most of what she was reading. It was the worst money ever spent. I work at a business where people are asking me daily what there is to do in this area and I had been recommending this all year because I walk there and love it. I even printed out the ad and it's hanging where all could see it. We never even was shone the memorial that was in the picture. Or any memorials there. Was told it was 90 minutes but lasted under an hour. It was agonizing to tough this out and we all couldn't wait for it to end. I would like a full refund and won't refer this anymore to anyone. UPDATE: THE GENTLEMAN THAT USUALLY GIVES THE TOUR SAID HE WAS UNABLE TO DO THE TOUR SO HAD THE ABOVE DO IT IN A PINCH. HE OFFERED TO REFUND US AS WELL AND GIVE US HIS TOUR. I'VE HEARD FROM OTHER THAT HE IS GREAT AS A YOUR GUIDE! THANK YOU

We did a mount hope tour Thursday August 24th and it was a training session for a sixth grade girl leading the tour with her mother in the background. If I could give a zero rating I would. We brought guests with us from our of state and paid the mother because she said she was the tour guide. Then after we all paid we started late and finished early, hardly saw anything and the daughter was attempting to read a print out. Unable to pronounce a lot of it. It was a huge rip off and we'd like our money back! We didn't pay for a bring your daughter to work day training session for a sixth grader.

Nestled away in downtown Bangor, the Penobscot Theatre Company is a hidden gem that offers a diverse array of performances throughout the year. Housed in an Art Deco Egyptian revival building with Art Nouveau influences, this theater company presents classic and contemporary works, serving as the sole year-round professional regional theater in Northern Maine.
We went to see The Rocky Horror Show and had an absolute blast! The cast was phenomenal, and we loved the prop bags to enabled us to participate. We are in awe of the talent we saw, and wish we were Maine residents so we could attend again!

Gorgeous theatre with friendly and helpful staff. The place is steeped in history and you can feel it all around. Comfortable seating. A lovely bar is adjacent serving alcohol and coffee and snacks. Regardless of what you are going to see, this is a lovely place to see it.

Yesterday I went to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show and I have to say it was the best production of it I've ever seen! All the actors did an amazing job, but Ira Kramer brought the character Riff Raff to a whole new level! I was however disappointed in the audience though, it was mostly "virgins" and very few people were dressed properly for the occasion! Hahaha!

I’ve been to two shows now at the Penobscot Theatre Company and both times I’ve been blown away by the talent, stage crew, directing choices, and script. The stage is beautiful, the actors are phenomenal, it is such a fantastic spot in Bangor to go if you have the chance. So far, I’ve seen A Christmas Carol and Dirty Deeds Down East and loved both! Great work to the cast and crew.

The Penobscot Theatre is a treasure for Bangor. While the Theatre remains physically closed during Covid, it is alive in spirit. The theatre is located in the old opera house and offers a variety of plays during the year. It is in the downtown part of Bangor. During the temporary closure you can find the theatre online. It is worth a visit if you support culture.

The Thomas Hill Standpipe, a historic landmark in Bangor, Maine, has been in use since its completion in 1897. It serves to regulate water pressure downtown and can store up to 1.75 million gallons of water for emergencies. During World War II, it was painted olive for camouflage due to its proximity to an airfield. The standpipe is also known as the Derry Standpipe featured in Stephen King's "It.
I am not sure why I liked this so much but I did. It has a history and is very interesting architecturally. It is also surprisingly large and from a distance with its windows may be mistaken for something other than what it is. Speaking of it, it also has a history in one of the King novels. On a nice day the park is a pleasant place to enjoy the structure.
Perks A — Google review
Went here to visit the filming location for IT. Have to say, was very cool being in the exact spot they filmed, and lining up photos with the movie. To a non Stephen king fan it probably looks like nothing but I thought it was very cool. Recommend to all the king fans.

I came to find a geocache and discovered a pretty cool place . Such an interesting feature in the middle of Bangor, and it belongs to the Bangor Water District. Apparently this holds almost 1.8 million gallons of water, and for a few days a year, it is open to tours and a walk up the stairs to the top. The fountain nearby was being visited by the locals, who were happy to give me a pose.
Jacki C — Google review
Calling this place massive is an understatement. It is unfortunately can’t get in and walk around. There’s a staircase that leads to a giant steel riveted tank encased and a wooden jacket. The place was built in 1997 and 1,75 million gallons of water.
Malcolm G — Google review
Absolutely loved this, it is so huge and very cool! My only regret as I did not get to see the inside. Next time! Definitely worth The Visit. And I walked the half mile to the Stephen King house, very enjoyable. Highly recommend both!

Stopped to visit it at dusk and it was cool to see. Read that this spot inspired Stephen King and that he actually wrote from the bench near it. Definitely something to see if you are a fan.

A fun afternoon. The standpipe was open to the public. After climbing the 100 stairs to a panoramic view of the Bangor area. Spectacular sight! We were blessed with a sunny day and clear skies. It was windy on the day we went so I'm glad we had jackets.

The Bangor Farmers' Market, located across from the Bangor Public Library, is a charming spot to experience Maine's natural bounty. This market offers an array of fresh produce, including fruits and vegetables, as well as locally produced goods such as organic meats, eggs, dairy products, and freshly baked items. In addition to food items, visitors can explore crafts like wooden creations and quilting projects.
This is a great market to visit and purchase some fresh produce. Buying directly from the producers is the best. Always fun to try new fruits and veggies that you have never seen before. Today, Kohlrabi was that veggie for me. This is a great place to spend an hour or so shopping.

I’m hoping to turn out of vendors is better than it was today. The parking lot was only about a third full of people, however, it was a cold and kind of rainy day so I didn’t expect a whole lot of people out there. What a great location to have a farmers market right in the middle of downtown plenty of parking as well. Can’t wait to check this place out next weekend. It should be warmer in. Hopefully, it will be more people out.
Malcolm G — Google review
I loved it . There a few vendors. Those that we there had some nice food items . We got some delicious bread from Biggis . We got some arugula also . They had canned goods. I don't think they had a full market. They open I believe from 10:00 until 1:30 on Sundays. I would definitely recommend this market. They have fresh food . They don't take cards , cash only , but you can get tokens to shop with .
Mary S — Google review
This Farmers' Market is very expensive, not customer-friendly, and is in need of oversight from Bangor City Hall's Department of Code Enforcement because of the absence of safe hygiene practices at least a few sellers' stands. One of the stands that should be forced to comply with basic standards of sanitation is Biggi's Baked Goods stand, which sells uncovered products that are unhygienic due to airborne bacteria and the numerous flies crawling on their very expensive products. Almost all sellers charge very high prices. A father-daughter duo from Skowhegan sell pasta and frozen ready-to-bake dishes at the L'atelier Pasta stand. A one-pound tub of frozen Ziti with Red Sauce costs fifteen dollars. Ingredients for the various types of drinks and food sold there are supposedly organic, so perhaps this market is not +super expensive+. Nevertheless, hasn't inflation receded since the globo-socialists'-criminal-of-a-puppet president, Joseph Biden, left the White House eight months ago? In sum, very high prices, generally unfriendly and rough-around-the-edges sellers, and at least a few stands ignoring modern public health guidelines for food safety make the Bangor, Maine, Farmers' Market an undesirable place.
Peter — Google review
If you haven't checked out L'atelier Pasta and Gelato at the Bangor Farmers Market you are definitely missing out on the best pasta and gelato i have ever had. I have tried the ramen and the Gelato. I purchased ravioli and the fettuccine that I have yet to prepare but have no doubts that it will be just as amazing as the ramen and the gelato. I just tried the herb fettuccine on 5-24-25 and I have to say it is the best fettuccine I have had in my entire life!

Beautiful easy walk. Had kids with us and they had fun learning and spotting different things along the trail.

For someone that is not super familiar with bogs this place was over super cool. The city has constructed basically floating panels of compositor decking over the bog. It’s mostly stationary but some steps you’ll get a little more give than others. It takes you through a cool path of what looks like a jungle forest then opens up to a wet desert then back again. This has to be the easiest walk anyone could possibly do!
Malcolm G — Google review
Unique opportunity to walk over a bog. Saw many pitcher plants. The walk is mostly flat and easy for any age. Something cool to do if you are in the Bangor area. Great spot to spend an hour or so. Plenty of parking, restrooms. The loop out to the bog closed at 430 so plan accordingly.
Dane C — Google review
Really beautiful boardwalk, moderate easy loop around. Dogs aren’t allowed on the boardwalk (except service animals), but are allowed on the surrounding trails. Has little information posts along the way showing facts about the local wildlife.

Incredible! You get out from the trees and it is stunning, like another world! I really liked seeing the Pitcher plants.
Gabriella B — Google review
Early morning hike was beautiful. There were some posted signs about bear sightings, but that's hardly surprising with the blueberries in season. There's a quarter mile hike from the parking lot along an improved road, then the bog walk is a loop on an elevated path. Gorgeous. Really unique terrain with informative plaques along the way.

Visitors can enjoy free admission to explore the museum's offerings. The area surrounding the museum is vibrant, with various dining options, craft beer establishments, retail shops, and performing arts venues nearby.
I have never been here before. But by what I have seen here, I WILL certainly be going sometime very soon. It looks like the perfect thing to do on a sunny, warm day while exploring Bangor on foot. The RockandArt Shop is such a vibrant place, whether you visit their Bangor, Ellsworth, or Bar Harbor locations, you’ll find a beautifully curated mix of local art, plants, unique gifts, and curiosities. The Bangor location is especially fun during the First Friday Art Walks, where they always showcase a fantastic range of collective work. It’s clear they’re deeply committed to supporting local artists and building community around creativity. The current show by Randi Watson is especially worth a visit. Her art is thoughtful, surrealist, and full of layered emotion.
Christi H — Google review
I loved this play for my first years of college however they took a turn. I was happy shopping here thinking all their taxidermy is ethical however it is not. For my most recent visits, I realized they were selling bat taxidermy which is highly unethical in itself. It is almost impossible to get ethical bat taxidermy. Then on my last visit I saw this, a Painted Woolly Bat which is on the IUCN list as near threatened and typically cannot be obtained or sold due to this. And the fact that the patagium is fully intact (the fleshy parts of the wings) means that it was not found dead, it would have needed to be killed to be made into this taxidermy. The patagium deteriorates rapidly after death because of how delicate it is. I’m very disappointed that I have made purchases here before. I wonder what other ethical taxidermy they are lying about.

Shopping
Bangor Mall is a serene shopping destination featuring a variety of stores, including department stores, popular retail chains, and quick-service eateries. It's the go-to place in the city for picking up souvenirs or updating your wardrobe with top name brands and unique boutiques. From clothing and accessories to sporting goods and jewelry, the mall offers a diverse range of products. You can find well-known brands like Hollister, Victoria's Secret, JC Penney's Sephora, and more.
This mall has three galleries or wings. There are a lot of vacant store fronts, but one wing of the mall is more deserted than the other two. JC Penney, Dick's Sporting Goods, and a furniture/mattress store are the anchor stores. A few mall staples are surviving here: Spencer's, Bath & Body Works, Claire's, Hot Topic. There are some local businesses as well and, interestingly, a couple of local theater groups occupy space here. There are no restaurants in the mall, but there are some nearby. Unfortunately, the campus isn't pedestrian friendly, the pavements are in bad shape, and you can't easily walk from the mall to any of the nearby businesses. The exterior of the mall could use some maintenance. It doesn't appear well kept, unfortunately, and that must make it difficult to attract new businesses.
N. G — Google review
Dying mall that should be put out of it’s misery. 70% vacant, unmaintained interior and parking lot in shambles. If they cared theyd consolodate the remaining stores into 1 wing and close the remaining 2 wings. At least it would be a solid set up that way. Instead you have long stretches that look post apocalyptic. The place doesnt even have music playing over the PA system. Ceiling tiles missing and stained, leaking roof. Thanks a lot Amazon. What a waste. What tenant would ever rationalize renting space in this crap hole? Place is a dump. I feel bad for the people who have to go to work here. How discouraging. And only 1 public bathroom area that is bombed out & filthy. I cant believe teens havent broken into the place at night and torched it yet. This place is that bad.
Joel B — Google review
The pictures I took don’t do it justice how bad it is. I went in the entrance by the old Ruby Tuesdays and there were rats or mice jumping on the entrance and in the grass. Looks like someone hasn’t cleaned the floors in weeks if not longer. There was virtually no landscaping or any attempt to make it look better. The men’s bathroom was completely obliterated and only one functioning urinal with graffiti all over the place. The owners and the city of Bangor should be ashamed. I don’t think it’s even worth saving at this point. Someone posted in another review that it’s “dying”. It’s already dead. Bulldoze it.
Hutch K — Google review
This used to be a great place. The few stores that are left are good. It's amazing they stay in business. Most don't even know any are still open in the mall, since the owners take such horrible care of the road and parking lots. I would love to see something good happen here to see it come back to life.
Ann H — Google review
I used to live in Bangor 25 years ago, and the mall has definitely gone downhill from back then. Very few stores now, maybe one in four shops is occupied, and ones that were occupied, alot of them were closed when we visited. Guess there are some lawsuits going on about the upkeep of the mall, but there's not much there anymore. Don't waste your time!
Steven W — Google review
This place is a great walking facility for those that want a very dark indoor experience if the weather outside is bad out or it's the winter season other than that it's a dead mall. Yeah there is dicks sporting department but other then that as well as American eagle and a few random local stores it's not even worth your time to browse like way back in 2000 when they finally reopened their expansion to include such things as Victoria secret, Macy's, an eye clinic and a few eatery's but they have long since closed their doors and either completely left Bangor or moved to the Stillwater Ave shipping center. They really need to do something with the lighting that detracts from the semiannual craft fair which makes the mall come to life. So many vendors that sell their wares at reasonable prices. The parking lot as well as the drive around the mall is so bad that I even got a flat tire from driving there. You must keep a keen eye out for massive potholes that they just don't fix until it's the size of a 3' wide! So I hope in the future v they revitalize these stores because the reason why they closed shop was initially due to online shipping but now I hear that you need to pay for the problems that the owners of the building should pay to fix. Overall a great indoor walking facility, terrible lighting, and poor roads leads this place to be condemned. I mean just look at their inviting sign for Simon's Bangor mall on the corner of Hogan and Bangor mall Blvd. At least try to make it respectable but nope. It would get zero stars if they stopped people from walking the dark empty halls.
Guy M — Google review
Disgusting... run down, moldy, roof leaks everywhere, 90% of stores closed or empty. 2 of 10 washrooms were in service and those didn’t lock. Suspect a lot of drug use on the property. Religious cards left on all washroom surfaces. Bad post apocalyptic vibe overall - will never go back.
Sherry D — Google review
Severely deteriorating largely abandoned mall with a parking lot that looks like it was cluster bombed because of the severe potholes. Currently improving as little as humanly possible in response to being literally sued by the town for lack of maintenance. Dick's just outside the mall is ok but the mall is generally terrible.

There is an artificial stream with waterfall, a nice fountain, some benches, some big old trees, a couple of short walking trails including one loop up a hill, and a small grassy field for frisbee or whatever. Nice place to go for a quiet walk, please keep your dog on a leash and clean up after it 🐕‍🦺💩🪏🚮😎👍. The river is just across the street, but you can't actually see it from the park. Plenty of free parking on site.

Great place to visit on a hot day. If you are looking for a scenic picnic area, or just out for a small hike, this beautiful park has a working fountain that will cool you off on even the hottest of days, once the wind hits the cool water and you are sprinkled with that refreshing feeling of cool water on a hot day. Bring your friends, bring your dogs, bring your partners and yourself and set off on a tiny hike up to the top of there waterfall area, where all of the water has conjugated. Then enjoy a sit down near the fountain and enjoy the weather and maybe a bit of a picnic.

Pleasantly quiet and well kept. Found this by accident. The day we walked around it was very quiet and peaceful. A great place to relax and or take a walk or walk your pet. Picnic tables available throughout as well as a gazebo.

Library
Bangor Public Library is a must-visit spot in the city, housed in a stunning historical building with three floors and a large copper dome roof. It's not just about books; the library offers free WiFi, cozy reading areas, and even a cafe on the ground floor. The architecture of the building is truly remarkable, featuring distinctive domes and archways that are hard to miss as you explore downtown Bangor.
A gem of a historic building with a beautiful dome and a very historic sofa! You'll enter through the new part (and that's a normal public library), but head upstairs to the old part! It has the sofa Hannibal Hamlin, vice president to Abe Lincoln, died on. 😮 Come in, have a look around!
Stacey T — Google review
Beautiful library with a massive collection. There is also a $1 book sale area which is addicting and almost always has a good mix of Niche & best seller books. Sometimes I go there to read because it is beautifully constructed. During the winter, it is unfortunately a homeless warming center and has a “crowd” in front of the building and near the entrance so it was be a little different from what I expect. In the summer time it’s a lot of families and book lovers. The librarians have always been helpful and nice.

Great place to hang out! Lots of resources, books, art, computers, and free wifi! The third floor has a great children’s department with an awesome book selection, toys, puzzles, art supplies and great places to sit and read with the kiddos! They have also made improvements to the tween/teen areas over the last few months which is amazing! And a huge selection of board games! The library has great staff as well! Definitely recommend to anyone (especially those with kiddos)!

Wow! The Bangor Public Library is absolutely beautiful! There was such a wide selection, places to print, and space to just hang out. There were so many nice spaces to sit, tables to sprawl out on, and a little cafe even! I couldn’t believe there were instruments, magazines, art supplies, games, and more available for check out. It was super easy to open a library card, all I needed was my license.
Reagan E — Google review
The Bangor Public library is beautiful, has a wonderful cafe at the entrance, and for the first couple of hours was a great space to work in while visiting Bangor. However, it was the loudest library I have ever been to. People were arguing on the second floor, taking loud phone calls every hour, on conference call meetings without headphones, playing card games and slapping the table, and dogs running around barking (I’m a huge dog person, but this was not the place). I walked in on several people doing drugs in the bathroom, a man was overdosing out front, and a young woman was screaming on each floor with just a bra and shorts on. Public spaces are public spaces, but this is a library and should be treated with more respect. I don’t know why the staff didn’t do anything about these issues, it wasn’t hidden in any way.

Always a charming place in downtown. Historical Architecture, and the little Cafe has the BEST ice cream cones. Love this place. It's always so clean in here, and the staff are super helpful and friendly.
Tasha H — Google review
The Bangor Public Library is a perfect example of how a savage land populated by rough men and rougher women desiring to improve their lives and their community can establish an icon of the civilized world despite the inhospitable nature of the environs. To say that the BPL is multi-faceted would be a gargantuan understatement. Here you may find people from all parts of society-from the unfortunate who slept on a park bench the night before trying to get warm to a member of the city council researching (or perhaps hoping to cover up) a controversial family history. BPL accommodates these people and welcomes the patron who might need Internet access or is an old fashioned reader of the pages. Starting with a "few books in a footlocker" and becoming a multi-story fantastic building filled with historicity, art exhibits, day care and monthly gatherings of assorted venues BPL can easily be noticed not only as a local gem but part of the heartbeat of Bangor.

I cannot speak highly enough of this place. Not only is the building beautiful and well maintained but the staff are incredible. The children’s department in particular is outstanding, hey offer a range of activities for little ones and they have a great selection of books. We love going to story time each week!

Amphitheater
Located along the Penobscot River Walkway, Maine Savings Amphitheater is a popular outdoor event space in Bangor. It hosts the annual Waterfront Concert Series, attracting international acts and offering a maximum seating capacity of over 15,000. The venue has undergone renovations and offers well-organized events with friendly staff. However, some visitors found the layout confusing and suggested better signage for direction.
What a wicked cool venue. Probably one of the nicer places in all of Bangor Maine. Right on the river front hosting big names and some nice big names but that’s OK too. There’s a main level seating and some really cool box level seating. That looks awesome. Just like any venue the prices for water popcorn anything else to eat is wicked crazy.
Malcolm G — Google review
I had the chance to attend a private event here recently and was blown away by the experience. The venue itself is already incredible for concerts, but getting a behind the scenes look took it to another level. We got to see the backstage area and the artist lounge, and it was very cool to see where the magic happens before the show. The space is clean, well-organized, and the staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, you could tell they take pride in what they do. Seeing the amphitheater from this angle made me appreciate it even more. Whether you’re here for a show or a special event, this place is top-tier. Looking forward to coming back for a concert soon!
Uchizi P — Google review
Nice venue. Prices of food and drinks are expensive. 1 Beer and a "mega slice" of pizza was 36$ the food cost more than our tix and we had floor seats. That all being said music was good and acoustically speaking the sound was great. By no fault of the venue be prepared for "homeless" they are everywhere around the place as the shelter is across the street.
XXPFBXx K — Google review
Beautiful venue.. right on the water. Visited from KS to see Papa Roach a few weeks back and was impressed. Clean, newly-ish remodeled? Great staff, no bad seats. They did have some pretty messy issues with sound during Rise Against, which was disappointing during that set... Got everything tied up before PR, though, and sound was great for their performance. I'd love to see more shows here!
Justin N — Google review
On August 12, I attended a concert featuring Halestorm and Volbeat. It was my first time seeing a show at that venue. I found it easy to locate our seats, and the space was spotless, with a large walkway and plenty of room to move around. The sound quality was excellent. It was obvious that the managers and developers really knew what they were doing.
Joseph D — Google review
Clean, it was well organized, and I felt safe. I understand why they take the covers off of drink bottles, but that was a bit annoying and inconvenient. Prices were a bit high, but that was to be expected. Plenty of places to park & we had no problem getting out and didn't hit any traffic. Not to mention it was a great show, even with some rain!
Kari S — Google review
Update: Get your HOT TEA here!! To anyone reading this review: Let me lead you down a fun rabbit hole. Go look at the other recent 1 star reviews and look at every response from the venue - they get 10/10 in Deflection Olympics. Holy smokes, I've never seen such "not my fault" responses. Don't like the smokers? Talk to legislation. Don't like the insane price of water? Whatever, we're"comparable". Don't like how absolutely flat and sardined people are? Ignore/mention irrelevant metrics. Reality is if someone is taller than you, enjoy watching their head. Don't like how the audio cuts out for half the concert? It's the BAND'S fault? Just... wow. To the venue: Couple of things here. Your response amounted to morning more than more "not our fault" and blatant disregard for your customers. This infantile response tactic appears to be your go-to for anything critical of the venue, not sure how anyone has missed that. Hopefully more people will see it now too. --- Maine, it's a good thing you're pretty, because this "music venue" is decidedly lousy on the "music" part. Flew in from Kansas City to see one of our favorite bands just to have the audio (one may say, the MOST important part of being an amphitheatre) for it to cut out across half the stage. Was close but still couldn't hear the band and it was static sounding. Terrible. Also, I've never been to a flat (?!) amphitheatre - somehow there's not really any good seats. No smoking inside? Lol, people were smoking everywhere... Gross. Will come back to Maine in general because it's awesome... Other than this venue, that is. Avoid.
Emmy W — Google review
Very clean and well set venue. Two problems. My wife is rather short and there’s not much of a slope so she couldn’t see much of the stage. Also, food and drinks are very expensive. 10$ for a bottle of water is a bit much even if it’s a big bottle.

I grew up here and I've seen a lot of changes. Recently I see many more young people around, students and professionals. Remember Bangor was destroyed by fire in 1911 and much of the downtown was lost.

As a first time visitor to Bangor’s downtown, I was impressed with the architectural charm. But that was quickly countered by the failure of the city to maintain the downtown. I had never seen so many weeds growing through the cracks, overtaking flower beds, and overgrowing some of the buildings. Really killed the charm of the downtown.

Bangor Drive-In is a seasonal movie theater located just outside Bangor in Hermon. It offers a mix of new releases and classic films, making it a great evening activity for visitors with their own vehicle. The admission fee of $22 per car makes it an affordable option for families, allowing up to seven people to enjoy the movies together. The drive-in has two screens showing family-friendly and PG-13+ movies, catering to different age groups in the area.
Had a great time, watched Jungle Cruise. Beautiful night, great weather for a drive in. Hadn't been to this drive in, In almost 30 years. Use to come here when I was 5, it was a family night on the weekend when the play ground was up front. And the speakers clipped to the window. That is aging me some. 😀 I will do this again, I made new memories tonight. 😀

At $22 per car load and the reasonable concession prices, you can't go wrong. My family of 7 was able to go and enjoy a movie and good for less than $100. When normally the local theater charges almost $60 just to get tickets. Well worth it to bring the whole family and not have to find sitters if you have young kids. It has 2 screens one with family friendly movies, and one with PG-13+. This is very accommodating when considering the age demographic of the greater Bangor area.
Benjamin W — Google review
First time going last night and what a great experience we had! We got there a little early expecting it to be packed but there were not many cars at all, we had our space and privacy. Every employee we interacted with seemed to be friendly and helpful from the kid directing traffic, I believe his name was Jared, was able to answer our questions and was super friendly, to the manager who let us use bug spray because we were getting bit up. Literally saved us, we thought we were going to have to leave so we appreciated that sooo much! Definitely recommend taking bug spray or a citronella candle if setting up outside the car. Concession stand was stocks and yummy, popcorn was a little stale but staff appeared so accommodating that I’m sure if we walked back they would have replaced it. We were just being lazy, oops! Hopefully they continue to play fun movies and we will definitely keep coming back, would love to see this place stay in business! Definitely something different to do and offers nostalgia.

Airport
Bangor International Airport is a small, clean, and efficient airport located in a small city. The main floor has been remodeled, while the upstairs retains a dated look. Despite its size, the airport sees various types of aircraft including military, cargo, and private flights. Visitors can also spot unique planes like the Antonov An-124. The airport gained recognition from the TV miniseries 'The Langoliers,' where it played a crucial role in the plot.
Bangor International Airport is a 5 gate airport. If you are 45 mins early, security is a breeze. Rental car pickup and return is super easy and convenient, Literally steps away from baggage pickup, like 30. Everyone here is friendly and efficient. So laid back from the chaos at bigger airports. The cafe by the gates is actually pretty good too.

Small and elderly place but the staff - at all levels - were helpful and it wasn’t crowded. Clear can’t be used here (yet?) Easy to get in and out. Def use your GPS then follow signs. Convenient to Bangor.
Eaddy M — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I fly here often from Clearwater, Florida, and always appreciate how convenient Bangor International Airport is. ✈️ It’s a smaller airport, which makes the process of getting through security and boarding much easier compared to larger hubs. They use facial recognition technology that makes check-in and boarding smooth and efficient. The airport is always clean, well-maintained, and easy to navigate. Staff are helpful and the overall experience is stress-free. Highly recommend flying in and out of BGR if you’re traveling to or from Maine!

Great little airport. The bathrooms are very spacious and clean. I appreciate that the paper towel dispensers give out a nice full sheet of paper to dry your hands so you don't have to stand there and get two or three sheets to get the job done. Thanks.

I am giving Mikayla a 5 star rating for helping my 2 friends and I after our flight was delayed 3 times. We asked to switch our flights to another destination to get back quicker and she worked so hard to accommodate us! We are SO thankful for her! She was a delight and so kind and patient. While all of this was happening, I was a bit startled to hear and see her co-worker, John, approach her in a very disrespectful way in front of multiple guests and he told her to quit sending people over to him for help. Other guests behind us were shocked at how he spoke to her and were so thankful for Mikayla’s patience and help. Please give this girl a huge raise, praise and the attention she deserves! We SO appreciate you, Mikayla from American Airlines!

I will only fly out of this airport. And I mean that sincerely. It is small, easy to navigate and everyone in the airport is extremely friendly. The ground crew are amazing! They work their butts off to make sure that you get out on time. And they succeeded. We had a flight to Orlando Florida in the middle of a main blizzard and there were no delays! I saw ground crew in the middle of gusty winds, blizzard snow, and they were out there scraping and shoveling to make sure that they could get those planes in. What an amazing effort by a wonderful crew to make sure that there were no delays in people‘s travel plans. I should also mention that Bangor international had the cheapest tickets of any other airport in New England.

Moved pretty quickly through TSA and off to the gate. Different layout in that food and restrooms are on one side of terminal with a few gates while other gates are a hike away with no services. At least they tell you that up front if you're at gates 7 or 8. Nice entryway to Maine.

Nice venue! Had no issues with staff or anything although security could be tighter. The sensor went off for me (I had nothing in my pockets) and I told them I had nothing and they just believed me, didn’t bother double checking. Think of what could’ve happened if I did have something that could harm others, insane. Saw the PBR rodeo there last Saturday. My only issue was people not knowing how to arrive at their seats on time and to not stand in the aisles. Nothing to do with the venue, just terrible situational awareness (typical). We had an amazing dinner here and truly enjoyed every part of the experience. The atmosphere was absolutely impeccable; warm lighting, tasteful decor, and a relaxed vibe that made it perfect for a night out. The service was friendly and attentive throughout, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome. The only downside was the wait, we ended up waiting over 30 minutes for our food, which was a bit of a bummer. That said, once the food arrived, it completely won us over. Every dish was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. You could tell a lot of care and attention went into the preparation. Despite the delay, the food and overall ambiance more than made up for it. We’ll definitely be back and maybe just come with a little extra patience next time. Highly recommend!

We loved this place! We were seated on the patio with our pup who got a bowl of water at the same time we got our waters. The lights were pretty along with the fireplace. They have massive heaters and the blankets were such a nice touch as well. The food was amazing! I had scallops and they were cooked perfectly. The bf had the timber burger with fries which were also amazing. We love the whole experience. It was a perfect way to cap off a great day and will absolutely make this a stop when we make it back to Maine. (The pup doesn't look happy, but it's just his face. The wagging tail said otherwise.)

It was amazing food the most perfect dinner for our trip up to Bangor, I was nervous when I saw it was apart of the hotel but it did not disappoint. With a gluten allergy find good and safe food can be difficult and this place should set the standard. A whole menu separated with gluten free options for every dish and appetizer. I could have eaten the whole menu. The buffalo dip, to the steak dinner, to the perfect trio of crème brûlée. This was one of the best meals of my life. Alivia was great with impeccable service. Atmosphere was great but we were at a table against a window of a private room and had awkward moments of eye ci tact and points through. But overall was a fantastic place I would 100% travel back to Bangor just to visit here again
Jada T — Google review
The seafood chowder was hearty and filling, the fish and chips were average. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was okay, but very loud. My party of 4 was seated at tables meant for 2 or 3 people, no room on the table. And the quarters were so tight we were being bumped by waitstaff or other guest. Suggest you wait for the right tables to accommodate your party.
M M — Google review
This is one of the few later dining options in Bangor, and it is now at the top of my list. My meal here was very good and not too expensive for the quality of the food. The atmosphere is upscale with a natural "woody" theme that's relaxing and tasteful. There are plenty of seats as well as outdoor seating. My server, Haley, was helpful and attentive. She recommended the chowder and it turned out to be excellent - creamy with rich seafood flavor. There was plenty of clam, but I did feel the other ingredients like fish and shrimp were lacking. The crispy haddock sandwich was a work of art. The haddock was delicately crispy, juicy and flavorful. The toasted brioche bun added to the crunch and the sharp cheddar cheese added a wonderful punch of flavor. Unfortunately, my sweet potato fries were cold and stiff on arrival. I pointed it out to my waitress and she got right on it, bringing me fresh fries on the double. I had the blueberry pie dessert and it was good - not amazing, but then I knew blueberries weren't in season. The French vanilla custard it came with was legit. I was shocked to find the restaurant is located in a Marriott hotel. Every time I've stayed at a Marriott in recent memory it's been horrible. Color me surprised 😅 You can park anywhere in the hotel parking lot according to the front desk. It was not easy for me to find a spot.

Well, that seems I found where everybody in Bangor Maine goes for breakfast. There’s a good reason why everybody from Bangor goes to this place for breakfast. It’s because it’s delicious. It’s actually pretty affordable and delicious. The coffee is good!!! Bagel Central is such a chill and friendly place! When you walk in, you’re greeted by a counter where you place your order, surrounded by tempting sweets that make you want to try them all. It has that cozy, mom-and-pop feel, and the food tastes homemade—absolutely delicious!

Large and lively space consistently bustling with people working on computers, people grabbing take out, and people dining in. I was surprised to find not only bagels, but sides like potato salad, pasta salad, and coleslaw, as well as a large variety of pastries. I got a bagelwich on a sunflower bagel, and then went back and got an herb bagel with olive cream cheese. The bagels are soft and fresh. The olive cream cheese was fantastic, lots of pieces of olives. I think I will bring my laptop sometime and work from there because the vibe is so good. I did bring home some sweets. I ate a berry tart which was deliciously lemony and just the right size for two good sized bites. So many goodies to choose from!

Stumbled into a bagel central today. I grabbed a classic bagel slathered with garlic-herb cream cheese and—wow—this isn’t your heavy, chewy usual. The bagel has a light crackle on the crust, a soft, steamy center, and the cream cheese is whipped, herby, and garlicky without being sharp. Every bite hits savory, fresh —clean finish. I honestly wish we had this exact style back in Texas. Order: Plain (or sesame) with garlic-herb schmear Why it’s special: Crisp shell + airy chew; whipped spread with real herb lift Worth a detour? Absolutely. This is the kind of simple that ruins other bagels for you. Rating: 4.8/5 Pro tip: Ask for it warm and go heavy on the schmear—you’ll get that perfect crust-to-cloud ratio.

Flavor: A Service: A Tea: A Solo dining: A I’m not a bagel lover but I had to get one of if I was at ‘Bagel Central.’ I was not disappointed. The blueberry bagel, cream cheese, oatmeal pancake (what a unique creation), and the hash browns (who doesn’t love a mixture of gold and sweet potatoes?) were all very well done. And then to offer cranberry-apple unsweet tea… it’s like they knew I was coming. What a great brunchy place!

Stopped here for breakfast and it was SO GOOD! Someone told me that Bagel Central had good NY bagels. Why do people say things like that? I'm not sure that's true. NY bagels are their own thing. And so are Central bagels. Both are good but they are not the same. IMO Central bagels are the kind of bagels that you want all bagel sandwiches to be served on. We got there around 1 PM on a Saturday and there wasn't a line. But I understand that we were lucky I had a Paul Bunyan 😋 and not a word was spoken until I finished it. And we shared a slice of carrot cake also delish! I highly recommend Bagel Central.

So glad we stumbled upon this place! The staff was so sweet & gave great recommendations. Blueberry cheesecake was to die for!
Callie A — Google review
We love their bakery-fresh bagels! Perfectly chewy on the outside, soft on the inside, exactly how a bagel should be. Every time I walk in, I promise myself I’ll just grab a couple, and every time I leave with a bag stuffed like I’m feeding a small army. Highly recommend… unless you’re on a carb free diet. In that case, just come for the smell, it’s so worth it.

It’s like a secret neighborhood brewpub. This place makes amazing food and great desserts. Many times there are awesome vegan dishes and all the beers they’ve made are some of the best in the state of Maine or anywhere. I always have a wonderful time coming here and can’t wait to come here again. All the people that work here are so pleasant to talk to and I know you’ll have a great experience as well! I came here again and the food is so amazing. You definitely have to try whatever desserts they have available! I am never disappointed when I came here.

Smaller spot that is very...eccentric? Like a storage attic with an IT Derry flair. Beers were decent. Didn't try any food. It's definitely someone's jam.. but was just ok, for me.

Wine and food were absolutely delicious and the prices were out of this world. Food for 2, wine flight, and another drink and glass to take home for under $80! Huge selection owned and run by just a few people, who are very sweet and obviously put their heart and soul into this place. The Maine Air Museum, established by the Maine Aviation Historical Society in 2000, is a top-notch exhibition space located at Bangor International Airport. It showcases Maine's rich aviation history with an extensive collection of civil, military, and commercial aircraft artifacts. Visitors can explore interactive displays explaining flight principles and enjoy watching planes take off from the airport. The museum also features notable attractions such as the White Bird and a striking silver aircraft at its entrance.
Had a memorable time flying through history at the Maine Air Museum. We even had the opportunity to watch the AN-124 land and wave at us. Absolutely lovely museum with lovely staff sharing their love for aviation. A definite must visit while in Bangor by the airport!

My boys loved this place. It’s legit right next to the landing strip for the Bangor International Airport. We saw like 3planes land 2 military helicopters take off as well as an American Airlines take off. Under a certain age kids are free.

I have always wanted to stop in and look around this small museum located beside Bangor Airport. Today I happened to catch them open after taking my daughter to the Maine Children's Discovery Museum in Bangor. The admission fee is very small for the amount of history housed here. We had an excellent time and spent over an hour looking around and hearing the history from the staff. There are many exhibits from world war one and two, as well as different history of aircraft, flight simulator training, and uniforms. They also have planes, engines, equipment, helicopters, and uniforms on display. I would greatly recommend people to stop in here, and also donate to the museum as they would like to aquire more air craft. Unfortunately they can not afford to do so and could use some help! If you are a fan of aircraft, and the history of aviation this is a great place to learn and appreciate history! If your on route 2 in Bangor stop by and check them out. They are open Saturday and Sunday and again a great little museum!!

This museum is great! It's not super big, but there is plenty to see. There are a few planes and a helicopter on display. There are a number of displays that are interactive to help understand how planes fly, pressurization etc.. There is a bench on a small balcony on the back of the building to view planes taking off from Bangor International Airport. Friendly staff. It is really worth the time to check out.

Interesting small aviation museum on the East side of the airport. I found the history of Bangor to be the most interesting and its part in WWII being the last stop before going to Europe.

There's nothing like live music. And the BSO's productions are outstanding! I attended this Sunday's concert, "Orchestral Showcase," showcasing BSO's own talented soloists. Exquisite! The graceful hands and arms of the harp player were as much a treat for the eyes as for the ears. The BSO's pops concert, the Music of Oz, coming up in March should be a treat.

The performance was stunning! I went with my wife and 16 year old daughter and my son. My 14 year old son paid it the highest compliment. As my wife had tears running down her eyes, and my daughter fought them, he summed it up like a truthful teenaged boy: "There were times where I didn't fall asleep." The vocals thundered majestically through the concert hall. Everything from the children's choir to the acting to the acoustics were marvelous. We left stunned.

Highly Recommend for RV-ers! First time, passing thru. We have a 36’ gas motorcoach with a toad. We saw only 2 lanes with gas (which also had diesel). Note: Most lanes go in one direction coming from the street. A young pleasant young man pumped for us, which was a very nice pleasure. We parked to have breakfast. (Did not dine in). Getting in and out to I-95 was very easy. Note in pics that this seemed to have a lot of amenities for diesel trucks (Volvo, Kenworth, Ballad Truck Center (I don’t think they are associated with Dysarts); tires, etc)

Yep. Our party of 6 ate here today. Not much of a wait to get seated. The waitress seemed rushed…to get us in and out without decent customer service. One lady in our party asked what is on the turkey sandwich. Brittany W. stated sometimes mayo. The lady specifically stated she wanted nothing extra on it but ordered it anyway. Brittany showed up with a turkey sandwich with lettuce and tomato on it. It was sent back. It arrived again with leftover lettuce..as not all of it was picked off. The sandwich was sent back yet again. It was sent back, again, with leftover salad on it. When the same sandwich came back to the table, a fresh made sandwich was requested. Brittany W displayed a terrible attitude. A different waitress was asked to get a fresh sandwich. Brittany turned red. Well, buttercup - listen to your customers’ dietary needs and requirements and you’ll only have to deliver a meal once - instead of multiple times.

Has Definitely Gone Downhill I used to love coming here for the huge hot turkey sandwich. It came with stuffing on the side, a delicious roll, and a vegetable. I hadn't been here in five years and what a sad difference. My hot turkey salad was lukewarm, very little turkey, the gravy wasn't good, and I paid extra for all white meat, but there was also dark meat in it. My one side was hard, salty stuffing with no roll or vegetable. They did acknowledge the stuffing didn't look good and asked if I wanted something else, which I didn't. They did take half off the bill. Before my food came I also bought a loaf of bread, a dozen rolls, haddock chowder, and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies to take home and hope they're still good like they used to be. The staff were friendly and the service was fast.

Note they never reached out or went good for bad visit! Will not recommend and will not go back. Past review attached. Let me first start usually this is one of our favorite stops, however in our opion it was not good last night on June 13th around 8pm. We had to wait a little longer than told for our take out which wasn't to big of a deal. The biggest issue was our food was so cold, including the chicken, fries were Luke warm , onion rings were okay, the cranberry sauce was forgotten for the sandwich which once my husband went back in to get it and told them got only one got one tiny cup for two halfs.. the bread was very dried out and the stuffing had white spots in it and was very hard & cold. We thru our food out when we got home and we didn't eat, we had to cook for our 4 year old when we got home over an hour away, because she wouldn't even eat the fires or chicken, which says a lot. This was an early father's day meal for my husband which we couldn't even eat because of how bad it was. My husband called this morning on June 14th and let them know, she was a manager she said and she asked for our number to pass it on to upstairs. It's now 7pm almost on June 14th, no one has called us back or refunded us for food we couldn't even eat. We would like a refund. Out of all the years this is the first time we have ever had horrible service and complained, we aren't sure what happened last night but it was horrible, I'm sorry. Depending on how this is handled we may never be back and won't suggest the place to anyone. Highly disappointed and sorry

This course caters to golfers of all skill levels, featuring two distinct sections: the Original 18 with its spacious greens and fairways, and The Kelly Nine, which presents a more challenging experience with tighter fairways and smaller greens.
Had a great day playing at Bangor Municipal. Got paired with 2 locals that were brothers. Tim and Rick I believe, awesome guys. Shared local stops to go. Course was in good shape and played well. Had a blast. Will definetly play again when in Bangor.

We had a great time at Bangor municipal Golf course today! Chuck the starter was very nice and very friendly. The course was fun to play and had its challenges. They have a nice putting green and also a driving range. After the round we stopped in their clubhouse restaurant. The cheesesteak and fries I had tasted great and my son's boneless chicken wings were really good too! The waitresses were very nice as well as the cook who went out of his way for one of our orders. The fairways and greens were in decent shape. Some of the tee boxes and cart paths need to be improved but overall I think this is a nice course for the average golfer to get out and be challenged and have some fun with family and friends.

It runs along the confluence of the Penobscot River and Kenduskeag Stream, an area historically significant for its access to the sea and abundant fishing. The trail showcases remnants of old mills along the stream banks, providing a glimpse into the region's industrial past.
Several picnic areas, but the downtown portion doesn't have a designated parking area. Trail is rough in several areas and the trash can be significant, but the views are worthwhile for a city trail.
Da C — Google review
Do Not Walk Your Dog Here there are needles everywhere. The trail itself is beautiful. Unfortunately it is not maintained by the city despite being so close. Garbage and needles are scattered throughout the trail making it incredibly unsafe and turns a relaxing walk into a grim reminder of Bangor's general drug and homelessness issue.
Ros J — Google review
This trail is a disgrace to the city of Bangor. Two steps in and all I can see is discarded hypodermic needles and trash. Evidence of rampant drug use with no consequences. If you want to catch hepatitis or HIV by stepping on discarded needles come to this “trail”. It’s a hazard to public health and the city of Bangor should step up and clean this mess.
Freidrichm — Google review
It’s beautiful but it’s also sad I seen homeless people and drug paraphernalia on the actual trail 👀.
Jeremy B — Google review
Very beautiful nature with some cute wildlife. Unfortunately there’s a ton of trash, needles, and people actively using. Saw a used needle next to a duck. There was a makeshift burn pit next to a memorial. The bridge also had several large gaps between the boards, easily could seriously injure a small child or dog. I wish I could say I enjoyed but walked away after seeing a large group of people using after we crossed the bridge and decided to go home. The city really should maintain this area better.
Mason P — Google review
Disgusting. Residential Garbage and litter everywhere. Homeless and vagrants have encamped the entire trail. Needles and medical waste on the ground. Gross. Bangor City Hall, at the start of the trail and sharing the same parking lot, should be ashamed.

Jamie was awesome! If you are a Stephen King fan you will LOVE getting to know Stephen and the places that inspired his books more. If you just want to learn about Bangor in general, this is also a great tour! I can't say enough good things, don't miss it if you are into the area, SK nerds!

This tour was amazing! The owner and tour guide Jamie is a natural, and so knowledgeable about all things Stephen King and also the history of Bangor (and all the ways it bleeds over into fictional Derry). The hours flew by and we all laughed, learned, took pictures and had so much fun. I really loved all the extra touches in and around the gift shop/home base…be sure to check out the on-site Pet Sematary, Lobstrosities and door on the beach from The Dark Tower, full-sized Pennywise and more on the property, and explore the store with King touches EVERYWHERE from floor to ceiling. I came to Maine so excited as a lifelong King fan and Constant Reader, and this tour is a must, worth every penny. If I visit Bangor again, I’ll absolutely come back to SK Tours and do it again. Thank you, Jamie and Jamie’s wife, you guys are one of a kind!!

It was a great tour! All the sights and places in Bangor, Maine that influenced and inspired some of King's most brilliant and classic stories were so fascinating. Jamie the tour guide was top-notch, with his laid-back style of witty .narration. I could tell right of the bat that he has nothing but the ultimate amount of respect and for Stephen King. I even think he almost got emotional when showing and explaining to us tourists the great philanthropic works and donations that Stephen and Tabitha have used their money to help with great causes and great needs for the people of Bangor. I highly recommend going on this tour

Really great tour it was a lot of fun and interesting and the perfect amount of time Jamie was our guide owning and running it with his wonderful wife. They were able to fit me in two days later Tour and I didn’t miss a thing they didn’t charge me saying that they really just wanted me there. I don’t see this kind of stuff happen in business anymore. Most people would’ve just let me go, but it made my trip completely enjoyable learning all the great things that Stephen King has done. SK tours has exactly the integrity And ethics that I hold to my business and do as a guitar teacher. They have a lot to be proud of. I was surprised to see the inside is much more spacious than photos online have made it appear. Staff was very friendly, nice selection of arcade games and board/card games... but let’s get the the real reason for my 5 star review. I don’t know who cooked my roasted cauliflower tacos or whose idea it was to put them on the menu, but boy oh boy did it change my entire life from this day forward! It’s a challenge for me to find a place that not only accommodates a Vegan diet, but does so in a such a flavorful way. I’m not kidding, those tacos are among the most delicious foods I’ve ever tasted in my 32 years of existence. Big thanks go out to Queen City Cinema Club for having several Vegan friendly options! My son and boyfriend ordered regular sandwiches and were equally pleased with the tastes and the portion sizes they received. The staff today was incredibly friendly as well. If you’re looking for a fun way to spend a couple hours I highly recommend checking this place out! It’s now one of our favorite places to go.

This is our favorite place in the area, hands down. Always coming up with interesting food combos and the portions are insanely huge (even the appetizers I consider full meals). Drinks are perfection and they have the best bloody ever. We love the chill atmosphere. Thank you, Josh and Tiffany for making such a great space. Ps. Don’t overlook the pizza, it’s fanfeakingtastic.

We were visiting Bangor from out of town and when I searched things to do Queen City Cinema Club popped up and it was the perfect thing to add into a trip I was planning for my husband. I booked the smallest movie viewing room, we ordered food and drinks upon arrival and really enjoyed our time. The folks working were incredibly flexible and the food was amazing. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Bangor, it is a real gem.

Craft beverages , creative cocktails and the coolest 😎 👌 ✨️ seasonal menu in town. Fun inspired plates are themed and inspired. Always willing to accommodate food allergy/ intolerance. Fun place to play some old school arcade games. Or rent a theater room! 🎥 still showing all your old favorites 😍 ❤️

This is an absolutely amazing experience! The ambiance is incredible, the food was beyond amazing and beyond compared to what you can get in Bangor in general. I love the arcade, all the games, the owner was so personable. Highly recommend 5 out of five would even give 10 Stars if they offered it

This establishment offers a range of amenities that cater to various interests and occasions, accompanied by tasty bar food offerings. Queen City Cinema Club boasts two private theater rooms, each offering a unique and immersive movie-watching experience. It's a wonderful opportunity to rent a room with friends in a cozy and private setting. In addition to the theater rooms, Queen City Cinema Club offers a variety of entertainment choices. Board games and video games are available, providing enjoyable options for those looking for interactive and engaging activities. The arcade games room further enhances the experience, featuring a diverse selection of games, including air hockey and ping pong. Furthermore, QueenCity Cinema Club provides easy parking access, making it convenient for visitors and it’s an excellent venue for hosting parties and private events. Renting the entire venue for two hours allows for personalized celebrations, creating memorable moments for special occasions. The staff is attentive and ensures that the event runs smoothly, adding a touch of professionalism to the experience. Overall, QueenCity Cinema Club in downtown Bangor provides a range of options to suit different preferences and occasions. With two theater rooms available for rental, a variety of entertainment choices, delectable bar food offerings, and the opportunity to host private events, it is a versatile destination for a memorable experience.

Owners Josh and Tiffany have created one of the coolest places in Bangor. Rent a theater to watch a flick from their extensive collection, order from their full menu including cocktails and a wide selection of craft beers, and hang out with friends playing a board game or a classic coin-op video game. You need to check this place out!

Can't say enough good things about this place and the owner. On a whim, after some other plans fell through, I sent him a message the night before and was able to get into a movie room the next day at 4. The experience was very cool and the popcorn was delicious. My wife had a few cocktails and the kids loved the whole thing. Thanks so much Q3C!

The Bangor State Fair, the largest fair in Maine, offers 10 days of entertainment including amusement rides, fireworks, and down-home food. Visitors can also enjoy agricultural competitions like the oxen and steer show or participate in family-friendly events such as the lobster roll eating contest and demolition derby. Although smaller this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, the fair still provides a fun experience for all attendees.
Loved The 2019 Bangor State Fair great food great rides could be been more rides but oh well maybe next year I had a blast anyways

3 days only 2021 Hours Fri 12pm-11pm (no entry after 9pm) Sat 12pm-11pm (no entry after 9pm) Sun 12pm--8pm This year was The return of the Bangor State Fair normally the state's largest Fair. Last year the fair was canceled due to covid this year they held a toned down version of the fair which in my estimation is about half the size that it normally is. There are no animal attractions this year and two of the rides that they did have were not open on Friday. However there is a lot of pent-up demand and probably covid fatigue so the fair was extremely busy. At 8:30 p.m. on Friday there were very long lines to get in for the entry fee long lines for tickets and extremely long lines for every ride and every single vendor there was only one vendor of each type which caused severe bottlenecks for some vendors such as the doughboys fried dough vendor. The doughboy vendor for myself was a 33 minute wait on the short side. Also while the entry fee is a separate kiosk and does take debit cards the ticket kiosk which you need to for the rides or bracelet was cash only and all vendors are cash only there is no ATM on site. Personally I felt the lack of taking debit or credit cards in 2021 on top of cash being very dirty in general is a severe oversight, it's why I took off one star.
Ashley L — Google review
We were hoping for a true country fair and were a bit disappointed. Plenty of rides and games on the midway so I guess it would be good for kids. One exception for us was the tractor pulls, which were pretty good.
Chip D — Google review
Great visit for my first fair after moving to Maine. Rides were fun but wish they had a bit more. Dog show was cute.
DogDude 1 — Google review
Don't waste your time. I've seen better fairs at a town of 200 Centennial celebration. No vendors to speak of. All for little kids, the rides and games. Extremely small agricultural exhibits. And for the bangor state fair, could have been held at Broadway Park.
Nicholas G — Google review
The people running the games were so kind to us. They gave extra darts and throws to my kid. We spent way too much money and had a great time winning stuffies.

We went on the last day of the fair. A lot of the better ride were not operating. The heat on the tar was not bearable we tryed to find shade any where could. It was not very fun.

Turned into one big money grab. Smelled alcohol on a staff members breath. Luckily he wasn't controlling any rides.

Gerald Winters and Son, located on Main Street in Bangor, is a haven for Stephen King enthusiasts. The bookstore offers an extensive collection of King's works, including first editions and autographed copies, as well as a variety of memorabilia and collectibles related to the renowned author. Visitors can browse through an array of items such as books, videos, t-shirts, buttons, pins, manuscripts, hardbacks, paperbacks, and movie posters.
I’m so glad we found this store. The shopkeeper is AMAZING and a wealth of knowledge! So many unique items, signed books, and first editions. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Bangor.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE PACKAGING. My order arrived today and it’s as if I went in person and bought it. I will definitely be buying from y’all again, if you have a mailing list please include me in it.

This shop was a fun find! My husband (a HUGE Stephen King fan) and I sought it out after reading about it. We visited in early June (2024) and found the shop closed. As we turned to leave, we ran into the shop owner who was rolling in some stock. He said he hadn’t fully opened for the season yet, but graciously invited us into the shop to look around. We found new and vintage King and horror-theme books, memorabilia, graphic shirts, and more. We hope to visit again!
Ashley M — Google review
We tried to stop by recently but the store was closed. It looked exciting from the outside, but it is unfortunate that one of the biggest Stephen King merch stores in Bangor is basically not open. There are no posted hours and it was definitely closed. Tried calling but it went straight to voice-mail and listed no information on when it would be open. I guess just don't count on this as part of your Stephen King centered Bangor visit, since it will likely be inaccessible.
Laura — Google review
Wow! Do you think working like you is respectful to people? Since you only go to work once a year, at least post a STORE SCHEDULE so that people don't waste their vacation time on useless trips to your store! You run your business in a very strange way. Instead of apologizing, you're rude in response! I did the right thing by giving you one star!

The Bangor FunPlex is a versatile entertainment hub in the Bangor area, offering a range of enjoyable activities for all ages. This one-stop shop boasts a movie theater, arcade, gellyball (a family-friendly alternative to paintball), and inflatable bounce houses. Whether it's a chilly winter day or a rainy summer afternoon, the FunPlex is the perfect destination for families seeking indoor fun.
We enjoy Bangor FunPlex! We usually go to play VR and we have never been disappointed. If you haven't tried VR yet you are missing out. So much fun! The staff is super friendly and helpful. I heard many new improvements are starting soon too. I can't wait! 5 stars when the new seating comes in😁
Danielle V — Google review
The bounce houses are very disappointing. They only have three or four inflatables for older kids, so they compensate with tickets for other activities. This is good when they have more than one person on staff. It is not good with one person running the front desk, kitchen and activities. It is too much, and you have to wait forever for the employee to be free. I went after school, so maybe it is better on the weekends. I do love the outdoor inflatables in the summer. That is terrific. I do enjoy the movie theater. It is fairly affordable, although much smaller than other theaters in the area.
Chelsea P — Google review
Wish they’d stayed. Unless you’re willing to spend a lot of money to keep your older kids entertained in the arcade, be prepared for minimal fun. Food was sub par in prices and quality. Definitely a down grade from the other location.

I grew up reading Stephen King and immersing myself in the world of Derry and others. To visit this area was a joy and much to my delight, exactly how I expected it. I visited this area with SK tours, who I highly recommend, and seeing the Kings old home was a treat. It's a beautiful building in a stunning area regardless, but knowing what was created in there made the tummy tingle. As I say, it's worth having a look around the surrounding area as some of the buildings are breathtaking and some house some VIPs. The statue in the old King house was made using a chainsaw and is quite something. This trip was full flavour Bangor, the people of which are some of the warmest and friendliest I have met on my travels. This is a wonderful part of the world that deserves to be appreciated.

Broadway Park is a delightful urban oasis that beautifully balances tranquility and recreation. This well-maintained park features an expansive field perfect for outdoor activities, making it an excellent spot for families to enjoy quality time together. While the playground offers a solid play structure and swings, it could benefit from additional equipment like seesaws or sandboxes to keep younger children engaged. Despite its proximity to a busy road, the distance from the play area ensures safety while kids explore their imaginations.

J M — Google review
Very cute park with a really fun playground. One thing that I noticed was the playground structure felt like it should have been buried in the ground a couple another foot or so, but my kiddo kind of loved jumping down from the slide, haha. There was also lots of shade from trees which is always nice.
Amanda — Google review
Not a bad little park. My biggest cons were that there are no bathrooms, and no benches or tables by the playground area. Other than that it was nice. The Play structure isn't for littles, I'd say at least five year olds. Anyone younger will have a hard time. There are two pickle ball courts and a basketball court to use. There is a small pavilion with two picnic tables over by the basketball court.
Kodi L — Google review
Good playground structure, plenty of shade. The only place to sit is 100+ feet from the playground, not really family friendly. There were people taking up the only two benches and smoking cigarettes. Can't forget, NO BATHROOMS.
Caitlin P — Google review
We were just passing by and I haven't been here really to hang out or bring any kids by since the homeless people are squatting in that area.. I mean it awesome that Bangor has designated a place for them to do just that but unfortunately a few bad eggs will ruin the reputation of the whole community of people up there that come on really hard times. I would give this park 5⭐️'s but because of the situation so close by I'm going to have to give it a hard 4
