Restaurant
Suriyun is a restaurant located in Chatan-cho, offering an all-you-can-eat global dining experience. The restaurant features a menu with over 60 dishes made from local ingredients and provides a scenic view of the ocean and greenery from its terrace. Visitors can enjoy various shrimp dishes, including prawn tempura and shabu shabu, as well as Okinawan, Japanese, and Thai cuisine.
We ate here two Sundays in a row. The second time around, we added a birthday cake. Overall, impressed by the food quality and fountain drinks to include the coffee/tea machine. Snow crab legs were great - above par quality and plump. Service was good and the restaurant was clean. We would definitely come back for future festivities and events.

I recommend getting the breakfast package with your stay. If you have an outing early in the morning before they open (6:30am), they even prepare a breakfast take away pack for you. We had early diving trip (6:15am pick up). It was packed with an assortment of pastries with a water bottle. The breakfast was your typical American/continental breakfast with some local Japanese food. Cant complain and always a good feed to start your day. We went for dinner once and had the free flow alcohol which was amazing! The variety of meals and meats was delicious. Ironically my favourite was the spaghetti which wasnt Japanese at all. The make your own Chirashi was quite good but you just pilled on the diced fresh and raw tuna and salmon 🍣. If you’re a big eater and drinker, the buffet plus free flow beer, sake and plum wine is absolutely 10/10.

I have been visiting Suriyun for a long time, and I have always enjoyed the food. The steak, in particular, has been a favorite of mine—juicy, flavorful, and freshly served from the grill. However, I have noticed some recent changes at the steak station. Instead of customers being able to serve themselves, the kitchen staff now provide portions only three pieces. In addition, the staff were often away from the station, which left many guests waiting and looking around for service. I truly appreciate Suriyun and the quality it has offered over the years, and I hope this feedback can help improve the steak station experience for all customers.

Their washoku festival which is on going right now (11/22/24) was great. I liked they put even macha latte in the coffee machine which I never saw before. The tempura, oden and so on was delicious but my favorite was sukiyaki. I wish they full up empty dishes more faster. The discount for diamond members is always great deal to pass. ======================================= I revisited this restaurant again last night. Food was okay just like last time but the service got much better. They explained thoroughly and made sure about allergies. Also, empty plates were taken away quickly. I changed 3 stars to 4. ========================================== I got 25% off because I am a Hilton Diamond member. I wouldn't complain too much about the price, but if you are paying full price for crab buffet, it is expensive. They have 3-4 big sections. The sweet section was way too big compared to meal sections. Nothing really impressed me here. Crab was good. It was full of meat and sweet. Sobanoodles weren't cooked fully. Fruit wasn't delicious. There was no soda (like coke, sprite), only sikuwasa juice & orange juice other than teas and coffee. My table was piled up with dishes, but no one picked up. People who work in the kitchen were very helpful, though. It was US $30 per each (for adults or age 13 and up) after 25% off. 5,950 yen per adult before discount. There is limited time (90 mins) to eat your foods on weekends.

Since i loved Shrimps, so We came for a dinner buffet . And yes they served a lot of different kinds of shrimp dishes.. I recommended their prawn tempura, shabu shabu and yes they served also Okinawan dishes, Japanese and a Thai Tum Yum..for me the food was just average 😊 Over all I satisfied my cravings for shrimp 😊
Weng S — Google review
I came for this interesting dinner buffet: Delivers to shrimp lovers - with 20 different shrimp dishes, and the plan had a ¥1300 off limited on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I think I had tried almost 15 different types. The most recommendable are prawn tempura, deep fried shrimp, grilled whole shrimp, deep fried and flavored shrimp, Sichuan-style chili shrimp and shrimp dumplings. There also had other Okinawa dishes, Japanese and western dishes. The Okinawa pork shabu-shabu and the seared beef sushi are also remarkable. Coffee & tea, some soft drinks are self-service. Lastly, I had a cappuccino, some deserts and fruits to end up this high CP and interesting buffet dinner. 22/4/24 🍽☕

Spent Thanksgiving lunch here. We enjoyed it! 1500¥ was all you could drink alcohol section. The lunch was 5950¥ but we got a 10% off discount! It was the first time doing a hotel buffet for Thanksgiving and we had a pleasant time! Party of 6. Had a yummy traditional American Thanksgiving food items. Had a station to make a rice bowl! The salmon and tuna were so good! At least 4 or 5 stations per se with various items. The cooked salmon and tempura station were yummy! The downfall- the crab legs were cold and at times frozen. There is no melted butter.

In the hotel. Good poke options on the breakfast buffet as well as typical American breakfast foods like sausage and eggs. Coffee was out of an expression machine. It was decent I suppose but no cream. Only milk.

WaGyu Café Kapuka is a modern and airy venue with a terrace, offering a contemporary vibe and specializing in hearty beef dishes and mixed drinks. The restaurant provides an excellent dining experience, with quick service even during busy times. The food is presented beautifully, making it perfect for food enthusiasts who enjoy taking pictures of their meals. While reservations are recommended due to its popularity, the café accommodates walk-in guests when possible.
First time and definitely won’t be the last. Came here for group lunch as recommended by one of our coworkers and boy it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, we mostly ordered the huge salad portions with different proteins on it like salmon and chicken. The cilantro dressing is highly recommended, I asked for it on the side so I can control how much I want on mine. Not a lot of patrons during lunch and they also have outside seating. Did not have any room for desert but maybe next time. Highly recommended!

Food here was good but not the premium "wagyu" I was expecting. It had chewy pieces at the top that I had to spit out. Must be a different grade of sirloin steak on their wagyu cutlet menu compared to what I experienced earlier this week in Naha; or perhaps 'cutlet' means something different in the world of wagyu meat? However, the meal was still good because it was still tasty and came with a salad, soup, a bowl of rice, and a glass of wine, all for a fair price (JPY 5,800), so I can't really complain. The atmosphere here is very nice. Restaurant is clean with a nice view of the sea and sunset. Classy coastal vibe. The table was wobbly, so I put a coaster under the shorter leg since my wine was on the way and I didn't want to risk it spilling from an unstable table. You order from a tablet on your table so there really isn't any traditional "service" here to rate. Unfortunately, I will need to keep searching for a wagyu meat restaurant in Chatan that matches what I had in Naha earlier this week that was absolutely delicous and melted in my mouth like butter. Overall, the meal was good but it's unlikely I will return.

Super delicious breakfast spot. It's very nice inside and has a good view. We liked their menu options. Would recommend if you like islander style breakfast.

Food was a little on the pricey size but they were good. Nice atmosphere by the beach such a peaceful environment. You’ll have a good look of the fireworks every Saturday on this area. Parking was a little hard, the paking spot is too narrow.

Highly Recommended. One of my fave place in Okinawa. The restaurant ocean views is super beautiful, loved it.
Avegail T — Google review
Cute little place. I had the wagyu filet and it was so good and so were sides. The wine that came with the meal was also really good which was surprising. I struggled with finding good coffee or wine in this whole country. The dining area is large with plenty of seating spaces comfortably apart. We came later in the day so we missed that beautiful view. The staff was super sweet and any language barrier issues are solved with a tablet to manage the order from start to finish. I will totally eat here again. The prices were very affordable and the food was delicious. Probably favorite place to eat in Japan, so far.

The food and service are great. We enjoy our meal lovely.

Taste Overall 3.7/5 Variety 5/5 Pricing 4/5 Location 4.5/5 Presentation 5/5 Overall 4/5 All-in-all excellent restaurant/cafe. We went at 1200 (Sunday) and didn't have to wait for seating. You can sit indoors or outdoors; we sat right next to the water. As busy as it was, the food was served quickly. About a 10-15 minute wait for the food to arrive. When it comes to the presentation of the food, it was terrific. If you are a foodie and love taking pictures of food, this is the place to go. Everything you order from here will be aesthetically pleasing to look at and be tasty. Regarding the food taste, the steak I ordered was excellent (8.5/10), I wasn't a fan of the sauce, though, but the steak melted in my mouth. They give you options when choosing which sauce to put on the steak. The garlic shrimp was an 8/10 taste on point but just needed a bit more flavor. When it came to the French toast for dessert, it tasted more like American monkey bread. There was a caramel sauce on top, which made the French toast stick together and tasted plain 5/10. The mango Smoothie was by far the best smoothie I've had on this island 10/10. When it comes to prices, this place is highly reasonable for everything on the menu. The average cost was around ¥1,000-1,500 more expensive item was wagyu beef (still priced well). It's located in America Village right next to the charming water place, not directly in America Village but kind of on the outskirts of it. The only problem is parking is hard to find; there are 10-15 parking spots at the restaurant. So you may have to do a little walking to get there. One major plus is to order they have a tablet with multiple languages, not just English/Japanese but Chinese as well.

Starbucks is a Seattle-based coffeehouse chain known for its signature roasts, light bites, and WiFi availability. It offers a variety of special menu items that are unique to the Okinawa location. The staff is friendly and accommodating, often speaking English and providing assistance with Japanese language learning. The cozy atmosphere makes it a great spot to relax with friends or family.
It was a cute Starbucks with kind baristas! I’m so used to being able to customize my drinks in the States, I wasn’t happy with Japan SB due to so many limitations. It was still cool to try something different in a smaller cup😊 I wish they had special Okinawa cups for tourists. I was sad that they didn’t have much things going on.

What a great Starbucks location!! The staff are all so welcoming and kind. My americano was perfection!! I hope to return one day.
Lori L — Google review
They sometimes get drinks wrong, maybe half of the times I've been here, which is understandable because they assume Americans always want iced drinks. They also offer samples, but only to Japanese customers, understandable too. I usually try to avoid Starbucks in touristy areas for reasons like this. Overall, the same quality drink and food, just weird vibes from assumptions, but again, I don't blame them at all! It's just not an individual experience, you'll be treated like an American! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲 Lol 🤣

Wonderful service. They let us park motorcycles out front and enjoy coffee here one or more times each week. I’ve been a regular for six years. Unfortunately, the neighboring Chatan Information business complained about my motorcycle parking here. I will need to find somewhere else to spend my time. But I hope this friendly staff does well.

Situated in Chatan Town, this beachy cafe exudes a great atmosphere that appeals to locals and foreigners alike.
This is my favorite breakfast spot on the whole island. There have been a few times where I’d go 1-4 times a week. Always the first place I take my Okinawa visitors. My favorite order is the avocado toast with two fried eggs on the side, French toast and the matcha latte. The staff is just the best super friendly, kind and hard workers. I always feel taken care of. It can get busy during peak hours so come early!

Great breakfast and coffee in the AM. These guys nailed it. Good portions and fresh from the grill plates. It’s located in an old house and the parking is limited. Get there early to avoid the wait, but it’s worth the wait if there is a line. Staff is attentive and helpful. Best coffee in Okinawa hands down. Everything is made to order.

Great brunch spot! Not many options, but what they do have is perfect for a weekend brunch. One thing I will say is that the restaurant was extremely hot. They have A/C, but I'm not sure if it was on or not. Either way, it was uncomfortable. Other than the temperature, the atmosphere was nice. It looks like the restaurant used to be a home, so there are separate rooms that are perfect for groups.

Excellent Breakfast and fantastic coffee. I had an amazing experience at this Aussie breakfast spot, which I regret not discovering earlier. The avocados were perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of salt and pepper, the fried eggs were well-cooked with a satisfying runny consistency, and the bread/toast was hearty and delicious. The bacon was thick and flavorful, leaving me craving for more. While parking may be limited, finding street parking during the week is relatively easy. We visited on a Monday mid-morning and were able to secure a seat with only a brief 5-minute wait. Despite the small menu, the dishes were of exceptional quality and utterly delicious.

Takeout Restaurant
Pork Tamago Onigiri Honten offers a unique twist on traditional onigiri, with options like abura miso and tonkatsu. The pork tamago onigiri is a standout, featuring savory egg and perfectly cooked spam for a well-balanced flavor. Despite deep-fried elements, it's surprisingly light and perfect for a quick, inexpensive meal or snack. The store also offers limited edition toppings to try out.
The best, must try in Okinawa! This outlet has a shorter queue compared to the one in Naha. I read reviews saying that the basic (spam+egg) onigiri was mid so I decided to try the one with Abura miso and it was the best decision! You still get the nice simple, hearty onigiri flavor but with an added umami from the Abura miso!! I highly recommend everyone to get this instead of getting the basic then complaining that it’s underwhelming. Such simple flavors but they complement each other so well. Can’t stop craving for it!

If you haven’t tried it yet, this is your chance to experience authentic Okinawa flavors. Everything is fresh and tasty. It’s a small place, but you can enjoy your food around the shop, where there are many spots to sit right in front of the sea! They also have a great selection of drinks, perfect for cooling down on a hot day.

Interesting little place in the American Village for what it looks like, a Japanese Fast Food chain. Being American I had to try it especially because every morning between 7-9am there is a line of probably 15-20 people out the door. Not sure exactly what these Sandwiches are called, but essentially they are a variant of a Spam Musubi with Rice, Egg, Spam and your choice of topping, wrapped in Seaweed. I got the Cajun Chicken and Tuna Teriyaki. Both were solid, but nothing to blow you away. Exactly what I was expecting. Preferred the Tuna to the Chicken as I thought it had way more flavor. Not your typical American style of Cajun. More of a Mediterranean style rub on the Chicken. Easy ordering and call your number system. Place is clean and service is good based on how busy they are.
Andrew K — Google review
Its a must try in Okinawa I ordered almost everything and if you ask me which one good! I love the Philly cheese steak, their shrimp and others also so good!
Jeannie J — Google review
Takeaway a nice little snack for breakfast. Tried the standard potama and the one with kelp. Both were good. Would be better if the spam were fried till it’s crispy!
K W — Google review
Food is as you’d expect - tamago with spam in sushi rice and seaweed. It’s not mind-blowing but one of the usual things to try in Okinawa. The place has very little seating and food took quite a while to be prepared because they make each order fresh. Nice view to enjoy while waiting for your order.
Jit K — Google review
That is the best thing I have eaten on this island ! Totally recommend the tuna teriyaki and very affordable price. You can eat up at the water front so excellent view !
Laurane B — Google review
This should be the best PO outlet there is. The food is of the same high quality it comes with a really nice sea view. This outlet serves the beef steak and garlic prawns special. The beef steak was sold out when I was here but the garlic prawn is delicious. Be prepared to wait because.. this place serves good food and people know so there will be a queue, but I can stare at the sea while you wait...

Pancake restaurant
Seaside Pancake Factory Kupu Kupu was the first brunch destination I explored upon my arrival, and it certainly set a delightful tone for my culinary adventures. With COVID restrictions easing just in time for Mother's Day, we seized the opportunity to indulge in a meal out. The outdoor seating is limited but offers stunning views of the ocean and nearby American Village, making it a charming spot to enjoy your meal.
This is one of the best breakfast spots on the island. The food is delicious and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Every time we come back for a visit, this place is a “must do” when we come back. I love the atmosphere and ambiance, as well as the beautiful water views. We also love the consistency of the quality of the food. Thank you!!

I had fluffy pancake meal and the pancakes were very fluffy and delicious. I also loved how they were considering their own staff’s health conditions. You need to be careful not to wear any fragrances on you. Overall the staffs were all nice and very friendly and the food was great I would definitely visit here again :)
Marie T — Google review
This little gem was almost hidden by construction, but we were happy to see it was open. We were seated upstairs in the loft, where there were kids books for children to look at. The pancakes were delicious, I'd definetly return for those alone. Something to be aware of: Their chef is VERY allergic to heavy perfumes and cologne, so leave the body spray and Axe off you if you want to dine here.
Suzanne S — Google review
I will tell you what many others wont. It is difficult to eat here. The chef has a serious sensitivity to scents (perfume, aftershave, deodorant, etc), so you must wait outside until a staff member vets your suitability to enter. A party of 3 came in after us and sat down, but were asked to leave. Very politely, but still had to go. You place and pay for your order online. They force you to provide personal information in order to pay (I gave some fake info.) The food is passable. They are closed on Wednesdays, and certain Thursdays only Uber Eats is available Parking appears to be limited to a few spots on the street. The plates have a generous amount of food. Hint: you can order a "side dish" that's actually a meal in the ¥800-1000 range rather than the more expensive plates. All eggs are hard scrambled, with no other options available.
Ben R — Google review
The Seaside Pancake Factory offers stunning views overlooking the coast of American Village, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal with a view. The staff were fantastic, providing excellent service and speaking great English. I ordered the breakfast plate along with mango pancakes, and both were delicious. The pancakes were particularly outstanding—fluffy and full of flavor. The breakfast overall was great, although the sausages could have used a bit more time on the grill. A standout was the coconut latte, which was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend visiting this place if you’re in the Chatan/American Village area!

I haven’t gotten a chance to do a review on this place since the last time I’ve eaten there but currently these are still my thoughts Personally I am not a fan of the taste of their food. By all means it’s pretty and great for photos but a pretty picture isn’t enough for me to keep coming back. I honestly think there are many hidden gems that overtake this place quality wise. Service is decent although their new no fragrance rule is a little crazy because it’s hot here. You don’t want to smell the table next to you who didn’t put on deodorant so they could come eat some okay pancakes. But that’s just me. The atmosphere is pretty and views are great. As most establishments near the seawall finding parking in itself is an adventure. Now I did enjoy their drink options so that was a plus. They have a wide range of specialty drinks to pick from! Personally I would skip this spot and go somewhere else I think it’s been hyped up way past what it truly is.
Courtney R — Google review
This brunch spot is an absolute dream! The pancakes are perfectly fluffy and flavorful, while the steak plates are cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with taste. The mimosas are refreshingly crisp, with just the right balance of bubbles and sweetness. Beyond the amazing food and drinks, the location is truly stunning, offering a breathtaking view that makes the whole experience even more special. Whether you’re here for a relaxing weekend brunch or celebrating a special occasion, this restaurant combines delicious flavors with an unforgettable atmosphere.
Drea D — Google review
Used to be a regular here, but not anymore. The steak was chewy and honestly disgusting 🤢. Add in the new no fragrance policy, plus having to wait 40 minutes outside just to walk in and see tons of open tables? Ridiculous. They can’t even deliver quality food anymore. They’ve definitely lost me as a customer.

Esparza's Tacos and Coffee is a beloved taco spot on the island with a unique vibe and charming decor. The restaurant offers vegan options, catering to those with dietary sensitivities. The portion sizes are generous, and the soup is highly recommended. The establishment prides itself on simplicity and healthiness, making it a great choice for clean eating.
GREAT tacos if you need a little reminder of Mexican food in Japan. I had the Beef steak tacos and the chicken tacos and both were amazing. The beef was very flavorful and the chicken was great and had a hint of curry in it. Definitely a place to go back to. Also had a mocha latte and that was really good!

I've always noticed this cozy little spot and finally decided to stop in. There was a small group playing live music, which added a nice touch, but unfortunately, I had to sit outside since they had a reserved event going on inside. Thankfully, the weather was cool and relaxing, so it wasn’t too bad. When I went to order, they were out of a few types of taco meat, which was a bit of a letdown. Still, I placed my order and headed to the patio. The food came out quickly and was tasty, and the caramel macchiato I had was absolutely delicious. The only reason I'm knocking off a star is because of the limited food options and not being able to enjoy the live music fully. But overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I’ll definitely be back to try it again when things are less busy.
Disspose — Google review
Had lunch here with family and ordered tacos, nachos quesadilla, ginger ale, cookies, and meat rice bowl. They have free Mexican soup and free salsa bar, which is nice. For the tacos, I recommend the pulled pork. The beef steak quesadilla is remarkable. The portions are OK and their menu is varied and affordable. The cookies were delicious. Also, I like how they have healthy ingredients. The atmosphere is rustic perfect for casual hanging out and dining.

Only here on vacation, and this is our 2nd time coming to this place. The food is 50/10 🔥🔥🔥 Sooo good!! Hands down!! Nice, and friendly staff and cook. The atmosphere is very chill with music. Definitely recommend this place to everyone who loves Mexican food!! Soup is good too!!

A must-try! This taco shop puts a creative Japanese twist on a classic favorite, and the flavors are incredible. Fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced seasonings, and a menu with great gluten-free options make it a standout. Every bite is unique and delicious—I’ll definitely be coming back.
Tremon J — Google review
It was okay but I think 500yen for a big cookie is a lot. The single taco was 600 yen. I forgot to ask for a corn shell taco and was given a plain shell. I think all the stuff members are able to speak in English. The jackfruit taco was interesting. I wanted some sour cream or something else. The soup was like watered down salsa but I guess it wasn't bad. The dirty chai coffee was not bad at the shop but I'm just not a fan of dirty chai. The water is self-service and free. There is free Wi-Fi and the sofas look comfortable.
B B — Google review
A local legendary spot, this is a place known for its Vegan Mexican food, but it serves many non-Vegan foods as well! The Atmosphere is cozy and warm, has a fun design, and good music. Definitely a nice place to relax and enjoy high quality Mexican food while getting that “coffee shop vibe”. They are most famous for their Tacos. The tortillas are flour based, incredibly soft and airy—they have a handmade and fire heated quality to them. Light, floury on the outside, but sturdy with a delicious soft chew within the airy texture. The chorizo is shredded tofu, but has the same taste and consistency as regular chorizo, but with none of the fatty oil/grease that normal chorizo has! Salsa’s are completely solid and authentic—feels like you’re back in your local Tacoria in the states The “vegan” tacos are actually quite amazing and refreshing. They honestly taste like normal tacos, and don’t feel pretentious or overly fake. I would not be able to tell that these were “vegan” on a blind taste test. While you pay closer to US prices for each Taco, the quality of preparation and of taste more than satisfies the cost! Overall an incredibly delicious experience, and worth a visit!
Scuba S — Google review
Food was good , and the right amount of kick with the sauces available tried the steak burrito which definitely hit the spot with the super crispy but soft flower tortilla. The bowl was a bit of a let down due to serving size even though I ordered double meat felt really small but definitely good flavors.

McDonald's Route 58 Kuwae is a classic fast-food chain known for its burgers and fries. Visitors have praised the location for its fresh and delicious food, with one person even finding an eggshell in their sandwich, proving that real eggs are used. The staff is friendly and takes pride in providing quick service. The restaurant is described as very clean and modern, with comfortable seating on both the ground level and second floor.
Burgers made like what you seen in commercials! Unlike the burgers here at Maccas where the burgers go through an earthquake before reaching you. I heard that because the coke comes in syrup form, the taste of coke changes depending on the water source of the country. I tasted no difference. You can order from a machine and get them to deliver the meal to you.

We stopped in here for breakfast. It's very affordable and pretty good! They have English menu. Not at the table but you can scan the QR code where it says other menus and you can see the menu in English on your phone or tablet/device. The coleslaw does have a mayo packet with it for dressing. Just be careful when popping it open because I got it everywhere. My one issue was the rice and main food dish was served warm and not hot. The miso soup was though and it was delicious. Parking is easy as it has a decent sized lot. Also free.

Hali Hali is a small restaurant that can get quite busy, especially during peak breakfast hours. The wait for a table may be around 20 minutes, and you might have to wait outside. Once seated, the food doesn't take too long to arrive. The French toast is highly recommended and described as amazing. However, some dishes like bacon and potato wedges were served cold, which was disappointing. Finding parking on weekends can be challenging.
Ok this was awesome! I’ve been wanting an authentic big American breakfast and this place SO delivered! Portion size was deliciously outta control. Mango lemonade was fantastic. Place was empty when I got there but quickly filled up with a breakfast rush. You can tell it’s very popular. French toast was amazing and when I left I was wishing my stomach was bigger 🤣 Thank you for a great dining experience
Chris Z — Google review
I had high hopes walking into this breakfast-only restaurant, and while there were a few bright spots, the overall experience left me wanting more. The eggs and potatoes were definitely the highlights—cooked well and full of flavor. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal didn’t quite measure up. The Spam was overcooked to the point of being dry and tough, and the French toast felt underdone, which made it hard to enjoy. The fried chicken, while promising in appearance, lacked seasoning and depth of flavor. As for the homemade lemonade—it tasted more like something bottled from a factory than something fresh-made in-house. Adding flavor syrups made it overly sweet, so having water on hand was a must. This place has a great concept and the kind of vibe that makes you want to love it. But for a restaurant that specializes in breakfast, there were quite a few missed opportunities. I wouldn’t rule out giving it another try, depending on the day—but as it stands, it didn’t quite hit the mark.
Matthew H — Google review
Went for breakfast and it was busy. It took longer than it should to get someone to take our order even with how busy it was. This was the only frustration/annoyance. Our food was delicious. I ordered the French pancakes with a side of bacon and an iced cafe latte. The pancakes were cooked well, it came with a ton of whipped cream that was lightly sweetened. It was nice to not have overly sweetened cream with the pancakes. They balanced well with each other. The kids plate was a good amount of food for my 7 yr old. And she loved her butterfly pea tea. The restaurant is cute and cozy. There are a decent amount of tables for the size. Overall, I would definitely eat here again and hope that the frustrations with ordering were a rare occurrence rather than a regular thing.
Becky ( — Google review
The atmosphere and staff is fantastic! So friendly and welcoming. They speak some English and the menu is in English as well. I ordered the Bacon French Toast and it was soooo good. This was the best French toast I’ve ever had in my life. The outside had a nice crunch, but the inside was soft and fluffy. They soak the bread in Okinawa “Golden Egg” for 48 hours. The bacon was crispy (just the way I like it), eggs were cooked to order (I like my scrambled hard), potatoes were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with great spices on top. I sat on the floor table (no shoes allowed). The latte was balanced. The water is self serve. Overall, I was very happy with my experience.
Krystal L — Google review
It is a small place and the parking is unusual for an American, but the food was wonderful. I had the French toast and chicken plate. I chose teriyaki sauce for the chicken. I honestly didn’t even know it came with eggs and fries, because I couldn’t read much of what was on the menu, but they were a welcome addition. The French toast was VERY custardy and wonderful. I don’t think I could say anything bad about the chicken if someone paid me. It was so tender and tasted wonderful. The ordering online was unusual, but they had a printed guide on what to do. The workers were very kind and helpful, which has been true my entire experience in Japan so far. I need to mention the asparagus. It was FIRE folks. I laughed when it came out because I had never seen a garnish with asparagus. Don’t sleep on that. It was delicious.
Zeniff S — Google review
Breakfast, looking for a friendly, good surprise, Hali Hali is at the top of places to return to. The strawberry lemonade was refreshing , service is great, close to beach so parking g is reasonable

Our first time dining here and was not disappointed! Great vibe, great food and great service! Wifey had the Golden Eggs Benedict with American Sausage and she said the hollandaise was nutmeg & lemon forward and very tasty! I had the Samurai Teriyaki burger. I loved it, but did wish it had chicken breast nice the thighs which was tasty, but too much fat and gristle. The Iced Cafe Latte was fantastic and rich. We will be back to try other dishes.
Jake S — Google review
Great atmosphere. Cute Japanese cafe. There is a noticeable adjustment to fit the American palate. The bacon is crispy and a bit saltier. The staff is extremely attentive and does not hesitate to make adjustments, whether it be your order or table. The experience is worth the price.

This eatery offers quite satisfactory fare for a quick-service establishment. If you're in a hurry and feeling hungry, chances are you'll come across a few of these establishments during your drive. It's certainly worth stopping by to enjoy their rice bowl dish which consists of ample portions of meat and rice, accompanied by pickled ginger. I also tried an order with a side of softly boiled egg, and it was incredibly delicious.
I feel like you can never go wrong with Sukiya. It’s one of those places that consistently delivers exactly what you expect — a simple, quick, and satisfying meal every single time. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, the food always arrives hot, fresh, and flavorful. Their menu has a nice variety, but even the classics like the gyudon bowl hit the spot without fail. It’s a go-to choice when you want something filling without spending a lot of time or money. The service here is always friendly and efficient. The staff greets you with a smile and makes sure your experience is smooth from start to finish. The restaurant is kept clean, both in the dining area and behind the counter, which is always reassuring when you’re eating out. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming — perfect for a quick lunch, dinner, or late-night bite. One big plus is the huge parking lot that’s available exclusively for customers. It makes visiting even more convenient, especially if you’re in a rush or stopping by with family. Overall, it’s a great place for a no-fuss, reliable meal. I definitely recomme

I recently visited the drive-thru and experienced a significant delay; single order took between 20 to 30 minutes to be fulfilled. The level of service is disappointing and falls short of expectations. I hope improvements are made to enhance efficiency and reduce wait times for customers.

I enjoy the food. Particularly love the seasonal Fire Chicken Curry. But enjoy the food any time. Prices are great. Typically, a full meal for less than a burger meal at a fast food place. Healthy option to the former and more food as well.

Unbelievable prices! There aren't many places open early for breakfast so Sukiya definitely scratches that itch. The prices are unbelievable. You can get a good Japanese breakfast for under 300 yen. I got the beef, egg, miso soup with rice all for 400 yen. Add a coffee and it's only 550.

This place has pretty decent food for a fast food joint. If you're on the go and happen to be hungry, you'll likely be passing by a few of these on your drive. It's definitely worth it to stop by and grab a rice bowl. The dish included a ton of meat and rice, as well as some pickled ginger. I ordered my food with a side of a soft boiled egg and it was super tasty. I definitely could get tired of eating this place day after day, but give it a try every once in awhile!

Very consistent, very fast, very delicious! When i first moved here i was broke, and this was my go to for fast food. In many ways eating here can be cheaper than grocery shopping, especially considering the time it takes to cook at home. Its very reminiscent of Waffle House in the states. With its creamy curry as a standout option, Matsuya provides a refreshing twist on traditional curries. The restaurant features two mini dining areas and convenient English menus to help navigate the diverse offerings, which include everything from classic Gyudon (beef bowls) to unique items like Butter Chicken Curry and eel dishes.

Large selection of items to choose from. Everything from breakfast plates to curry and Eel. The food was pretty good. I tried the Butter Chicken Curry. If you're thinking like I was, Indian Butter Chicken Curry, it's not even close. It's not bad, but definitely different. There is plenty of seating for any group size. The atmosphere is kind of boring, but overall a good place to eat.

Another classic Gyudon (Beef Bowl) chain, this store has quite the variety of selections between Rice Bowls, Curry, Cutlets, Hamburger Curries, and other items as well. The beef bowl is what you would expect from a chain. The beef was cut very thinly and was slightly chewy, but they had a lot of onions involved that made it more tasty. They didn’t include a ton of broth for the rice, but otherwise, for a ¥450 bowl, can’t complain about what I got from it! Credit Cards accepted, and they have digital order screens in English for ease of ordering

(Translated by Google) This was my first time having an acai bowl. I liked that I could choose the flavor of granola. It was delicious, but the portion was too big, the sweetness was light, and the honey was in clumps. I wish it had been mixed in with the whole thing. Also, the chocolate was in tablet form, so I thought it would have been better if it had been chopped up, or if it was a sauce, it would have had more of a chocolate flavor (I know, it's devilish, but that's just my preference lol) I had it at another restaurant the next day, but that one was better, so that's why I gave it this rating... The food was outstanding — the hummus toast was packed with flavour, and the hash brown toasts were perfectly cooked and very satisfying. Every bite was fresh and delicious. The ambience of the cafe was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a good meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome throughout our time there. We truly had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Rotton Cafe to anyone visiting Okinawa. We are already looking forward to visiting again!

Probably the best French Toast I have ever had. The light roast coffee was legendary. Great scenery, with a very chill skater-regae vibe. Family friendly and incredibly welcoming. This was the perfect place to hang out. I enjoyed my brunch and will become a regular. I am excited to try all the other food options. Thank you for the food!

Such a funky, adorable place. Come for the atmosphere, fantastic staff and delicious brunch. I ordered the French toast (highly recommend) and the Kokutou Latte. Omg, you will not be disappointed. Best brunch in the neighborhood!! Can’t wait to return.

Stumbled upon this small cafe and so glad we did! The service was really friendly, and both the dragon bowl and kokutou latte were super good — full of flavor and beautifully presented. Definitely a hidden gem worth coming back to.

First time here!! This is definitely the spot if you’re looking for a calm and quiet place to eat study or just sip on some coffee. The food is good and you get a good set of options from sweet to savory. Overall, would I come again? Definitely.

Such a cute little cafe. Feels like a hole in the wall. The interior is beautifully decorated. I ordered the hummus plate with falafel, and hash brown. It was amazing! Came with many yummy sides. The matcha was one of the best I’ve had as well. Will be coming back! 😊

The atmosphere was really welcoming upon arrival, the food tasted amazing and left me wanting more, and the coffee was made right in front of you! Definitely recommend.

Breakfast restaurant
If you're looking for a delightful morning experience, "MORNING by SEASONS" is the perfect spot to kickstart your day. This charming eatery offers a variety of scrumptious breakfast sandwiches that are both hearty and satisfying. The fish sandwich stands out with its crispy exterior and fluffy interior, complemented by fresh lettuce and a tangy tartar sauce-like boiled egg. You can even spice things up with their choice of sauces!
Delicious food and amazing service. If you are looking for place to start a great day, I recommend this place. I had açai ball and iced coffee. It was fantastic! I definitely come back again!!! Love this place!

(Translated by Google) The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was great! I had pizza and a mojito for dinner, and they were absolutely delicious! I later came back because I heard they were open in the morning, and the sandwiches were really tasty too! It's close to the sea, so it was great to go down to the sea and eat the sandwiches there!!

(Translated by Google) I ordered a Fish Sandwich! The fried fish was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and it was served with lettuce and a tartar sauce-like boiled egg, which went really well with the dish :) You can choose between normal and spicy sauce, and I chose the spicy one, which was just the right amount of spicy. I was also glad to hear that it was pet-friendly, and that the staff were kind and easy to talk to :) (Original) Fish Sandwich
