Nestled in a charming weatherboard house, Spice of Life Cafe & Deli is a vibrant eatery that serves up an array of global dishes for breakfast and lunch. The cafe prides itself on offering a diverse menu that goes beyond the standard fare, featuring options like kumara zucchini fritters and Middle Eastern cauliflower for breakfast, as well as gourmet vege burgers and Buddha Bowls with green tea-infused rice for lunch.
Had a great experience here The food was great - the service was amazing - super friendly staff especially the dude who was so funny Don't have photos of all the food as I was hungry and started to tuck into my meal. The beef burger was highly recommended. My fish was great and the calamari even better - really enjoyed the meal

Hubby and I had a pleasant lunch here on a very busy Public Holiday, and busy with the Art Trail customers. The cafe is in a lovely old Queenslander, with seating inside and out. Service was prompt considering how busy they were. We had a cappuccino and a strawberry milkshake, both fine. I ate the salt and pepper calamari, with salad. The coating was tasty, peppery and the serving generous. (A wee bit too much dressing on the salad tho.) He ate the beef burger, with chips. He really enjoyed the amount of relish/chutney, the well-toasted bun, and the caramelised onion. (You can buy deli items, and some artworks in the cafe too.) We will happily come here again, on our next trip up the mountain.

Found this cafe open on a late afternoon, which was great since many cafes close early. It’s a peaceful spot away from the busy Gallery Walk. The homemade-style cakes are a highlight—especially the pear and carrot cakes, both absolutely delicious. A lovely place to relax and enjoy a quiet treat

Had brekky here with my daughter..I had the egg Benny with homemade hollandaise. The hollandaise had no flavour, it was very underwhelming . The eggs were cooked to perfection, the bacon kind of average. My daughter ordered the big brekky, she said the mushrooms were tasteless, the tomato slightly green, hard and barely cooked..In summary it was at best average.

Lovely café with a relaxed atmosphere and delicious menu options. Staff were welcoming, and the coffee hit the mark. Easy to find parking on the street, which is a big plus. A solid experience overall — just shy of perfect.

Really enjoy our weekend coffee and food at this lovely cafe. Staff are warm and friendly and the coffee is great! Foods reasonably priced and is delicious. Highly recommend a visit.

Ordered Nasi Goreng with chicken satay, super salty.. sent back to kitchen.. the 2nd round of Nasi goreng taste was bitter.. end up only ate the chicken satay and the egg. Very disappointed with the flavour..

Tamborine Mountain Coffee Plantation is a charming spot nestled in the rainforest, offering a delightful array of breakfast and lunch options such as okonomiyaki pancakes, karaage chicken bowls, and pulled pork benedict. The plantation provides an idyllic setting for a rainforest getaway, where guests can wake up to the melodious tunes of singing birds and bask in the warm sunshine.
HIGHLY recommend this gorgeous venue! Food was amazing, great coffee (the know how to make a magic coffee) beautiful setting, friendly & helpful service. Visiting from Melbourne & taking a drive up to the falls, searching for a good coffee & yummy food. So many cafes & eateries in Google but I'm so glad we got it right!!! This place has it all. Amongst lush green trees, sound of birds in the background & a large seating area in the cafe, indoors & outdoors. The day was perfect for outdoor seating. If I lived locally this venue is beautiful for functions.
Vassal — Google review
Beautiful surroundings with lots of seating options. The food was reasonably priced and it didn’t take long to arrive. Order at the table via the app or you can go to the counter and order. The food was really lovely as was the coffee. They also sell coffee beans and a few other things inside the shop. It was quite cozy with a lovely fire going inside. Plenty of off Street parking. Definitely recommend a stop here if you’re in the area.
Annette M — Google review
Mount Tamborine Plantation Cafe is a gorgeous spot that absolutely exceeded my expectations! As you enter, you're greeted by a stunning venue that looks perfectly set up for any celebration, big or small. The seating area is absolutely gorgeous and I can only imagine how lively and packed it must be on weekends. I made a quick stop for a coffee, and while the unique flavor wasn't quite what I was expecting, the overall experience was still incredibly enjoyable. The staff members were lovely and welcoming, which made all the difference. Next time I visit, I'll definitely ask to try a different roast, but my brief stop left a lasting positive impression. Whether you're looking for a beautiful spot to relax or a special venue for a celebration, Mount Tamborine Plantation Cafe is a must-visit.

Must try the excellent coffee flight. The Chicken Karaage rice bowl is excellent. Baja eggs benny is good. Pulled pork burger is quite plain with too much mayo.
Melizarani T — Google review
Popped in for a weekend brunch and could not fault the place. Service was prompt. Food was fast and delicious. Had the Baja Benny which was so good it didn't even need seasoning. The rhubarb crumpets were deliciously sweet not not sickly. We even added some of the pork belly bites and has brown soldiers on the side which were so tasty!! Leftovers to take away with us and had to grab a piece of cake for the road. Coffee is strong. Awesome. Staff were lovely and attentive.
Jess C — Google review
Definitely recommend before you stop in before mt tambourine! Smaller size mugs so you get a balanced creamy bold coffee and the hash browns/ pork belly options were great without being greasy. Lovely atmosphere outside to suit both individuals or families with young children.
Summer — Google review
Food portion sizes have gone down massively and yet prices have gone up. Karage chicken burger is more like a slider burger but for $25.90 chicken was overcooked stringy and chewy, chips were cold and dry. Shame as it’s such a beautiful venue with so much potential if they had a better menu. Will not be coming back..

This place is one of the best coffee spots in town. We often drive up just for their amazing coffee and to relax in the beautiful outdoor seating area. A must-visit if you’re in Tamborine Mountain

Nestled within the environmentally sustainable North Stores precinct in Mount Tamborine, Picnic Real Food Bar offers a delightful dining experience surrounded by nature. The bar serves up a variety of local and seasonal dishes made with love, including salads, house-baked pastries, and healthy wholefoods. Guests can savor velvety coffee from micro-roastery Reuben Hills or indulge in fresh cold-pressed juices while enjoying the picturesque surroundings on the deck.
Loved this place. The coffee was great and the lamb sausage roll was awesome. I was going to deduct a star for a few reasons:- 1) Charged $2 for a tiny little amount of relish and 2) Have Wifi but don’t give the password for paying customers. I decided not to deduct a star but I think the owner(s) should address the points I raised moving forward. I’ll definitely be a regular at this place.

Ignore any mediocre reviews. All that we experienced on a very busy Sunday morning was delicious coffee and staff that was hustling. While we didn’t eat, there was delicious looking food on offer. It’s not cheap by any means, but if you want a quality cafe experience- go here. Dog friendly and impeccable bathrooms. Impressive operation. 🤩 well done Picnic team.

Such a beautiful cafe in a gorgeous setting amongst the trees, at the quieter end of Main Street. The coffee was excellent and the service was welcoming and warm. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Dog friendly:

This was my first visit with my husband, recommended by my daughter who came too. What can I say... Friendly atmosphere, very inviting feel to this bar. The food was delicious and exquisite. My mushrooms were full of flavour and the salad paired beautifully with them. My dessert was light and very tasty, made all the more enjoyable with the cream and Raspberries. My daughter & I shared this, but I know I could easily polish one off on my own, it was delicious. I always enjoy a good Chai Latte, and this was a great one. The staff were friendly and we didn't have to wait to long to receive our meals. Overall I am very impressed with my whole visit here, and will be recommending to others to come for a visit 😊

Absolutely recommend. From the coffees ☕️ to the avocado on toast 🥑 Amazing experience from the appeal, interior design and atmosphere, to the customer service and the food. Just something about the attention to detail. And meeting Brenda and talking to her was just so nice.

You'll leave this café feeling relaxed, satisfied, and so glad you discovered this local gem. The food was absolutely incredible, we ordered two dishes and shared the chicken burger (still wondering how they cooked the chicken so perfectly) and the waffles, which were hands down the best we've ever had. Everything is unprocessed and cooked fresh, and you can genuinely feel the difference after a meal here. We also had the hot matcha, made with locally grown matcha from Byron Bay, it was smooth, earthy, and the perfect finishing touch. We’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu!

Got here late on a cold Saturday afternoon. Kitchen had just closed but I was able to get a delicious vegetarian toasted sandwhich from the cabinet options. Oak milk latte. Perfect👌🏼 Interesting venue with an industrial contemporary feel. Great accessibility if moving on wheels👩🏻‍🦽with accessible toilet at the rear. Open bright space out the front may be overwhelming for Neurodiverse😎 I loved sitting inside, felt cosy with warm lighting.

We've been here a couple of times for lunch now and it's been really good both times. The food is amazing and the portion sizes are big so you'll leave feeling satisfied. The sticky chai on almond milk is amazing! Staff are friendly as well. Definitely recommend 👌

Nestled in the heart of the Scenic Rim, St Bernards Hotel stands as a beloved landmark on the Gold Coast, boasting over a century of rich history. This charming country pub offers breathtaking panoramic views that are simply unforgettable. Guests can unwind with a refreshing drink at the bar or enjoy their time outdoors while soaking in the stunning scenery alongside two friendly resident St Bernards who greet visitors from the front deck.
We called for lunch and found a table outside looking at the beautiful view across to the Gold Coast. I ordered the Lamb Rump which was cooked perfectly. My wife had the vegetarian Gnocchi which was in a ratatouille sauce, she said it was delicious. The place was pretty busy but the staff were friendly and very helpful. Well worth the trip up the mountain.
Julian C — Google review
St Bernards Hotel on Tamborine Mountain is undeniably charming, with excellent views and old-world ambience. Unfortunately, the dining experience we had was the opposite of what hospitality should deliver. We arrived at 11:30am and asked about coffee and pastries from the display cabinet. Instead of a straightforward order, we were met with repeated instructions about what we “had to” do: wait until noon for the kitchen, pick a table and report back, walk outside to the patio, return to place the order, then separately go to the bar for drinks. Service felt rigid and transactional designed around staff workflow rather than guest experience. When the food arrived, quality did not match the price. A so-called chocolate cake was simply a muffin with sauce on top, and the apple crumble was soggy and bland. At $22 for the two pastries, pricing was at premium patisserie levels but without the craft or freshness. Hot chocolates and coffee were ordinary at best, yet charged at $6 each. The pattern was consistent. Instead of thoughtful service, we were directed around like inconveniences. Even another guest trying to order lunch was told to “come back in 15 minutes” rather than having the order held until the kitchen opened. A guest-first approach would have been to take the order politely, advise of the timing, and ensure food and drinks were delivered seamlessly. In short, the venue trades on its setting, but service language, rigid processes, and poor value undermine the experience. Other nearby cafés and venues offer far better quality and genuine hospitality for the same or less.

My friend and I went there for lunch. We had special calamari mango salad, arancini, and special cajun prawn spaghetti. Arancini was nice, crunchy outside and perfect cooked inside. Spaghetti was tasty with perfect portion, just not as spicy as expected, which understandable. The salad was a bit soaky, the dressing was mainly sweet combining with mango so it made the taste even more sweet. But overall we were happy for our lunch. And the view was spectacular!!
Piyanath Y — Google review
Arrived and were greeted in the foyer by a beautiful big St Bernard dog, we went there without a booking, the waitress happily said find a table without "reserved" on it. Walked outside to find a lovely table on the deck with amazing views. Ordered easily via the table QR code (and didn't need to sign up etc). It was really busy (Sunday lunch and they had a wedding party there as well) and the food took about 45 minutes to arrive but it was so worth it! We ordered 3 dishes and all were lovely and a decent size. My chicken and chorizo risotto was delicious, the other dishes were chicken caesar salad and the 200gram rump with chips and salad. All cooked perfectly. Parking was premium that day and we saw a young couple leaving and asked if we could have their spot? They were very obliging thankfully. Overall, our experience was great 👍.
Kathy B — Google review
We had a lunch reservation for a birthday celebration. We were shoved in a corner of the veranda in the hot sun. It was a hot 35 degrees and we asked if it was possible to either get an umbrella to help shade us or move to another table. The manager, Vicki, was very rude and advised that she was unable to assist us at all. We would basically just have to put up with it. There were other tables that had been reserved but had no one sitting at them, however, it was more important to keep them ready than to look after us. The waiters, although friendly, had no clue who’s meal belonged to who, even though each table ordered individually using the app 🤔. The steak we ordered as medium rare, but was cooked very well done. Some meals came with missing parts, and we got butter knives to cut the steak with. We brought our own cheesecake for the birthday, which most definitely was not kept in the fridge. When they brought it out, it was so soft, it was like a mouse cake instead. The entire experience was horrible and disgusting. It was not cheap, which if the day had been a great experience would be fine, but to pay through the nose for BAD customer service is not on. I would definitely not go back and not recommend this place to anyone.
Sustainable A — Google review
Had lunch with friends at St. Bernard’s. The location and surroundings are spectacular. Sitting on one of the decks out the back is the definitely best option. Unfortunately the food didn’t match the view. My Works Burger was dry, the meat patty overcooked, and the bacon was burned to a crisp. For $29, you need to do better guys.
DBCD — Google review
A fantastic venue especially if the weather is fine to enable you to sit on the balcony to take in the majestic view. The food is great. I ate the lamb rump which was tender and my husband had the rump steak which was also tender. The kookaburras had our attention for a while as they swooped on empty tables and enjoyed their scraps.
Ann-Marie A — Google review
We were last here about 11 months ago and it's quite disappointing.. the menu has changed.. we waited almost 1hr 30min for food to be served and was not told about the wait.. food was terrible.. the Parma salad was yellow and stale veg carrots and the corn cob looked half eaten.. will not be coming back.. has gone down hill since we last came 11 months ago.. we are locals too it's disappointing. The only things this place has is the dogs and the view.. also watch out for the kookaburras swooping out to eat your food.. poor guy next to us had his snitzel taken off his plate.. they could put some statutes to spook the birds away..

Elevation Cafe is a charming spot located near the Visitor Information Centre at Doughty Park, just a short walk away. The cafe offers a range of high-quality food at reasonable prices, with an all-day breakfast option being particularly popular. Customers have praised the excellent coffee and friendly service. The recent move to a new location has seen some price adjustments, but the quality of the food and beverages remains top-notch.
We stopped in for a light lunch and some coffees and had a really lovely experience at Elevation Cafe. The food was fresh and tasty – the focaccia sandwich and fries were excellent, and the coffee was smooth and well made. The atmosphere in the courtyard area was warm and inviting, with plenty of natural light, greenery, and a relaxed vibe that made it a great spot to sit and enjoy a meal. A special mention goes to the young gentleman with the ear piercings who served us. He was extremely hospitable, friendly, and welcoming. His warmth and genuine customer service really stood out and made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot if you are in Tamborine Mountain and looking for great coffee, good food, and excellent service.

Beautiful cafe. Amazing coffee and drinks. Great menu and food was so delicious. Fantastic service, went extra mile to keep our peanut allergic son safe. So glad we stopped in here for lunch.

Stopped there today for lunch with our grandchildren, we both had BLT's and chips, have to say it was the best BLT I've had for a long time, generous serving of chips as well. Grandies had chicken nuggets and chips which was also a very generous serve and it had salad on the plate which is a first for us. Service was prompt, staff very friendly. Will definitely visit again.

I think this was the best option around here but nothing to write home about. The vibe was a little cold. And why do Australians put all that stuff on the cappucino
Zalamander — Google review
The cappuccino is worth driving all the way from Melbourne for!!! Like a souffle. Lovely coffee. Friendly service.
SRA G — Google review
We really enjoyed the range, quality of the food all at a reasonable price. All day breakfast was $19 Only minor feedback was that the hash brown was a little blonde and oily and there were no condiments on the table. Coffee (Toby's Estate) was excellent. Creamy, full of flavour but not bitter. I would highly recommended and would definitely go back again. **Update 23rd December 2023** Elevation Cafe has moved across the road. All day breakfast is now $22.50 Other prices also increased. Still reasonably priced and good quality. See extra photos...

Stopped in with my beautiful partner for some breakfast. Staff were very friendly and took us into their dining area. Cosy and warm at this time of year as it's quite chilly on the mountain lol. Breakfast and coffee were both delicious! We will happily return and highly recommend 👍🙂

The food here is fresh and delicious. This was one of our best meals of our trip. I recommend the chicken and Brie sandwich on a bagel. The bagel was so soft and the flavors were so good. I also recommend the poached pear salad. We had a nice lunch sitting outside in the shade.

We stopped in at 9:30 on the first Monday of school holidays. There were plenty of tables inside and outside. The options for breakfast and lunch were varied and tempting and the choices for beverages had anyone covered. There was a lovely, intimate feeling. We chose to sit outside and this was cool and comfortable. The coffees arrived quickly and we both enjoyed ours - flat white and a dirty chai latte. The food wasn’t far behind. My beautiful wife had the pancakes and those were light and perfectly done, with berry spread, bacon and maple syrup. My big breakfast was incredible. EVERYTHING on the plate had no doubt been carefully chosen and lovingly prepared. The baked beans had a pocket zing and the bacon had crunch, as well as suppleness. The staff were very friendly and nothing was a problem. A superb dining experience. Edit: We loved it so much that we went back the next day! My angel on Earth had the mushrooms and very much enjoyed the cheese and beetroot flourish. I had eggs Benedict with both bacon and salmon, because, why not? It was again superb, with everything cooked perfectly. We both agreed that our coffees were even better than the lofty heights of yesterday.
Greg N — Google review
Excellent food. Quality is the same as what you would get at any nice cafe in the cities… yet this is a place in a small town at the top of a mountain! Check out the Benedict on croissant. Nice touch with the croissant instead of the usual sourdough. The hollandaise sauce is particularly nice and the poached eggs are perfectly cooked. Atmosphere and location very nice on a nice day. Highly recommend.
Alex O — Google review
I'm genuinely surprised by all the good reviews, maybe we just went on an 'off' day. It wasn't very busy at all, we waited around 25 mins for our coffees, our food took 45 mins (another table who arrived after us had already received & finished their meal before ours arrived). When our food finally came out, one was wrong and when I went in to ask that it be made asap as we had already been waiting for so long, I was given a very puzzled look by the lady in the kitchen. No apologies for the wait or the mix up with the order. If they are short staffed and there is a wait, just let people know when they arrive! The food was average at best, the eggs bene had a strong vinegar taste. Definitely won't be back!

We recently visited Wild Plum Kitchen for brunch and had an absolutely fantastic experience. The food came out quickly, and the staff were friendly. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and French Toast, both of which were amazing! It was definitely the nicest brunch we’ve had on the Gold Coast. Recommend this little cafe.

I loved this little place. The Sandwiches were delicious. The Turkey and Cuban sandwiches were on point. The coffees were amazing. Only complaint was that they don’t have almond milk. I opted for soy which was still good.

Had the best meal here for our 22nd wedding anniversary. Personal service with the chef talking us through the menu - and the courses were amazing. Thanks team - all the staff were fantastic. Can't recommended highly enough.

I know I came to the right place after sipping on the flat white. It’s a true FLAT white with thin layer of milk forth! The mushroom toast has lots of flavours and a healthy amount of salt. The crispy crust and soft inner layers of the croissant is amazing. This cafe is above average even for Melbourne standards. Will be back for dinner soon!

The food was beyond exceptional. I can’t recommend this place enough. The customer service just made it that extra bit better. Was thinking I wouldn’t like the bar seating but it made our night getting to chat with the owner and chef and the waiters. Very intimate and an amazing date night

A fantastic tasting menu. Thoroughly enjoyed it and was worth the splurge. $125 for the tasting menu PP. Extremely unique dishes, he had a bay leaf ice cream included with the dessert which was delightful. Only feng shui issue I had with my long legs was sitting at the bar I had to sit sideways otherwise my knees knocked against it. Recommend booking ahead of time to get a proper table. They only do the tasting menu on Fridays and Saturdays and the menu changes every month.

If possible, I would give Providore 10 stars! An intimate, cosy but very friendly setting - it feels like you're at a friend's house for dinner, if your friend was a world-class chef! Brendan's menu was carefully curated, cooked and presented to perfection. We chose the complimentary wines with our degustation menu ($125 + $75) and were so glad we did! Celine, the mixologist, added a brilliant element by concocting a perfect cocktail as our "dessert wine". And waitress Emily was sweet and very knowledgeable, keeping things flowing smoothly. Book ahead, as places are limited, but you will not be disappointed

We got Thai Beef Salad, Sushi Bowl with Teriyaki Chicken, Smoked Salmon Wrap and Salt and Pepper Squid with Salad. They were all delicious. I liked the smoked salmon wrap the most. The food came out fast.

Was walking around the area at lunch time with girlfriend and decided to go into this cafe for lunch. Staff was nice, drinks was excellent, food was great for the price (never would have expected such quality food up at tambourine) and environment is nice. Maybe they might want to get the fridge at the back area fixed because it went up from 4 to 8 degrees in about 5 minutes and the motor kicks in and adds noise to the background. But overall, will definitely return!

We went after the Tamborine Mountain parkrun with the locals recommendations. It was a busy restaurant, I guess with mostly locals. There were the typical classic breakfast items, prices were very reasonable too.

This is a great little place if you're keen on great service and good value. The staff here were all warm and welcoming on a chilly day. Set away from regular tourist spots on the mountain, this place is perfect for something a bit quieter in terms of real conversation and soaking up the good vibes. The turmeric coconut milk latte was light and fluffy with a beautiful smooth taste. I also got poached eggs on toast for a quick protein hit. Toast was gluten free with just the right amount of butter melting into it. My cohort ordered the pancakes with maple syrup and icecream and was not disappointed. They presented well and were light, fluffy and delicious. Im making this my "go to" cafe on the mountain from now on. #free WiFi as well with the password up on the wall alongside community notices and cute sayings

This place was amazing! I had the pancakes w/ bacon and it's some of the best cafe food I've had in recent memory. And the bacon - it's hard to remember any bacon I've had that has been tastier! The staff were really nice, it was GREAT value for money, and the food was brought out super quick - arguably faster than Maccas ahahah. I can't find any faults! Definitely recommend for a lunch or brekky if you're up on the mountain

I visited Tree House Cafe & Bar and found it to be a comfortable, enclosed space with high-quality drinks. The only area for improvement was the wait time for cakes or brownies. However, I couldn't fault the quality of ingredients, service, and attention given to each customer. The coffee was excellent and the cafe had a cozy and family-friendly atmosphere. The burrata dish pictured was delicious. I would highly recommend this beautiful, family-owned business to anyone.
We only stopped for a coffee .. nice and friendly service and a really great coffee experience, very thick crema on the long black! We'll definitely return next time we're in the area.

My FAVOURITE place to eat and get a coffee on the mountain. All meals are delicious but I particularly love the acai bowl. You actually get so much acai and the toppings and gluten free Granola option is delicious. I also love that I can get coconut milk for my coffee. Friendly staff and beautiful location

We stopped just for coffee, so not much to review. However, coffee was very good and I had very generous iced coffee. 4* just to be objective. It took bit of time to get our order. This poor guy was super busy, obviously needed helping hand. Besides that, vwry good.

My partner and myself visited this beautiful cafe. She got the bacon & eggs, I ordered the big breakfast. That big breakky did not disappoint. I can be a big eater, and there was plenty on the plate! Both our meals cooked to perfection, in great time, and lovely service from the staff. My coffee was perfect to. The price on point for value, totally enjoyable experience in a gorgeous area.

Really hard to rate, flags were out, online details suggested it was open, open sign was lit and there was someone inside but the doors were locked. No one bothered to stick their head out and let us know if they were opening soon or not. There's a nice cluster of coffee shops on the alternate corner so we headed there.

The Forest Cafe, located in the picturesque Tamborine Mountain, offers a unique garden center cafe experience. Visitors have praised the generous portion sizes and fresh ingredients of their breakfast options. The staff is known for being super friendly and the service fast and efficient. While some mention road noise as a downside, others appreciate the beautiful view of the rainforest and peaceful atmosphere.
Stop, stop, stop. My son of 14 reckons the chicken burger served here is the greatest chicken burger in the world. I didn't eat due to having breakfast at home, but can't wait to go back and try. The food looked and smelled divine. The staff were amazing and very friendly. It was a great location to sit and relax after our walk to Curtis Falls. Hint: Park at Curtis Falls, do the walk and then walk to the CAFE. It is only 300m away and a very nice walk. It is hard to find parking at the CAFE when it is busy.

Really good food. It might be difficult to get parking when its busy as there is limited road side parking. Loved the atmosphere and outdoor dining. Breakfast came quick and price was very reasonable. Poach eggs might need more work but definitely it was tasty. Very professional and gentle staff. I will definitely come back.

Quick and easy to grab a bite at. I had the lamb rosemary filo and a large hot chocolate - satisfying enough! The staff taking orders and serving were also great. There is only outdoor seating on the patio (about 5 tables with 4 per table). It’s just a bit noisy as it’s right next to the main road. Prices have changed since the last time the menu was uploaded.

🌿 5-Star Review for Forest Café 🌿 Stepping into Forest Café feels like entering a tranquil oasis tucked away from the bustle of everyday life. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy, nature-inspired ambiance that instantly set the tone for a relaxing experience. 🍽️ Food & Drinks The menu is a delightful blend of fresh, locally sourced ingredients and creative flair. I tried the roasted pumpkin salad and the house-made chai latte—both were exceptional. The flavors were vibrant, portions generous, and presentation thoughtful. 🌳 Atmosphere Surrounded by lush greenery and rustic wooden accents, the café lives up to its name. Whether you're seated indoors or on the shaded patio, the setting invites you to linger, chat, and soak in the serenity. 👥 Service The staff were attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely passionate about creating a welcoming space. Service was prompt, and every interaction felt personal. 🌟 Overall Forest Café is more than just a place to eat—it's a retreat for the senses. Perfect for brunch with friends, a solo coffee break, or a quiet afternoon with a book. Highly recommended for anyone seeking quality, comfort, and a touch of nature. Would you like help posting this on Google or another platform?

Somewhat disappointed, friendly service but a lack of care for the meals despite the cost. Really nice coffee but unfortunately served in a takeaway cup with a plastic lid even though we'd ordered an omelette to eat in. Not very environmentally friendly unfortunately for a rainforest location. No toast/bread served with omelette which was rather odd, we had to order it separately, pay extra, and then the meal went cold waiting for the toast. No chili sauce, avocado side or condiments offered, overall very bland for the price paid. Fabulous tasting coffee though.

Nestled in the heart of Tamborine Mountain, North Stores is a vibrant hub where food, art, and nature harmoniously blend. This eco-friendly destination was brought to life by culinary expert Brenda Fawndon and her partner Sonja Drexler. Here, you can indulge in mouthwatering dishes made from local produce at Picnic Real Food Bar or unleash your creativity with pottery classes at Potta Studio.
I have hired the event studio for my belly dance classes. The space is beautifully designed with a view and the natural environment felt inspirational to dance in. The facilities are clean and organised with wonderful lighting. It's handy to have a healthy cafe and coffee shop next door as part of the complex. Picnic and Real Food bar is simply delicious and fresh each and every time. Thank you Sonja & Brenda for your continuous support. xx

What a fantastic venue to host a function. We had a networking event at North Store with over 60 attendees. The attention to detail, first class service and AMAZING food prepared by Brenda was superb. Highly recommend for any function or wedding!! Thank you ladies for hosting us!
CEO R — Google review
We had the worst experience this afternoon. The staff came across as rude, obnoxious and their responses towards us was racial profiling. The lady taking our order was rude to us and kept commenting on how we were taking too long to put an order in. We had made a request for one member of our party to have their own food due to their religious beliefs and dietary requirements which was denied and we were told to use the picnic table across the road if we wanted to all eat together. Which was cold and windy making it uncomfortable for the elders in our group. We then ordered take away which they stuffed up. We had ordered three items but they only put two through the order and didn't check with us. When we asked if they would check we had 3 items, the male staff member with beard and glasses dismissed our request. He rudely told my wife to wait and that order will be ready when it's done. We had a terrible experience and felt discriminated and disrespected. We most certainly will not be returning here. I'm sure losing one order wouldn't matter to the business but I hope that they read this to check-in with their staff and maybe provide an opportunity so that other customers don't have to experience the same.
Bhavya V — Google review
Not a good place if you've got children with you. The Cafe has a grassy area with established plants, which is an appealing play area for kids while their parents sip coffee. The owners will rush over to your kids and abruptly tell them to stop what they're doing if they seem to be enjoying themselves too much. It really adds unnecessary tension to an otherwise decent experience.

How lucky was I to have my 50th birthday party at Picnic Real Food Bar! When your family and friends are totally foodies and they have travelled from far and wide to be with you; I was super pleased we chose to have our private function for 42 people here. Why? The food was totally fabulous - fresh, local, tasty, with delicious vegetarian options too! Both Brenda and Sonja were great communicators, flexible and skilled at ensuring it all came together on the night. They know what they are doing and it was a pleasure to collaborate with them. My friends and fam just loved it and are looking forward to venturing back! Thank you so much for having us at Picnic!

I recently hosted a Sound Healing event at North Stores event space. It was an incredible experience. Some of my regular clients who attend my Sound Healings in other locations said it was the best one they have attended. I attribute this to the incredible tranquility of Mt Tamborine. Brenda and Sonja were amazing to work with. They made everything so easy for me. I look forward to holding more events in this beautiful space.

If you are looking for a friendly and helpful staff, don't dine here. The bartender was outright rude and obviously does not like working here the way he talks to customers. My husband asked where he could order but he answered abruptly and even drilled my husband what is our table number, that he cannot order without knowing the table number. There are ways to let customers know what they need without making them feel like they are being harassed and make them feel stupid for not knowing what the table number was. Even the waitresses aren't helpful. We ask about where to sit and the menu but we are just answered impatiently literally to find our way to what we need. We waited for nearly 40 minutes for our food to be served. Thankfully the young waitress who served our food was nice and friendly. The food made up for the lack of good service. Our meal was warm, crisp and delicious. The price though is ridiculously expensive. For just a small serving of a typical bacon and egg roll, it costs $15. The restaurant setup was homily and depicts nature harmony. But will we go back there again? No.

We ate here Saturday afternoon and it was lovely. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. We had tried to call during the week to make a reservation and only got a recorded message but, when we arrived (all 11 of us) we were able to be seated comfortably. The food is a little on the expensive side but isn’t everything lately?! Some menu items were well worth it, some not so much. In saying that we didn’t order anything we thought was “not so much” and it could well be phenomenal, everyone has their own opinions. We were impressed with what we were served.
Kellyanne S — Google review
I wanted to share some feedback on our recent visit. Let me start by saying that the food was great, and the waitstaff were friendly and attentive. However, we were disappointed with how the kitchen/management handled our experience. We dined at your café with two kids and ordered two kids’ meals along with other main dishes. The food was delicious—especially the Salmon Tuscan, which was fantastic. When we ordered soup and it was sold out, the waitress promptly informed us and suggested alternatives, which we appreciated. The service at that point was excellent. However, during our meal, we noticed that one of the kids’ meals—lasagna—was still missing. We understood that lasagna might take longer, so we waited. But when the rest of our table had already eaten about 70% of their meals and it still hadn’t arrived, we asked a waiter to check. He assured us it would be ready soon, so we waited. For those who have kids, they would understand that waiting this long for a child’s meal is extremely difficult. We had to start sharing our food with them. When most of our meals were nearly finished (around 90%), we asked the waitress again. She quickly apologized, said the kitchen was preparing it, and kindly offered us a free hot coffee. Unfortunately, by the time the hot coffee became lukewarm —the lasagna was still not ready. At this point, our table was empty, and we were just sitting there waiting. My brother went inside to check, and the response from the kitchen staff was shockingly rude. We were told, “It is ready now, and someone is bringing it to your table!” followed by “What do you want? We already gave you a free coffee!” We never want to be difficult customers, but this response was completely unacceptable. After waiting 80 minutes for a kids’ meal—while being spoken to in such a disrespectful way—we felt extremely frustrated and disappointed. No one even offered a refund or any proper resolution. This restaurant truly expected us to stay and have a child eat their meal after everyone else had already finished and after we had been insulted by the staff. In the end, we simply left, disappointed, with two very unhappy children. What started as a wonderful dining experience turned into a truly frustrating one. It’s such a shame because the food and waitstaff were great, but the way this situation was handled left us feeling incredibly let down. I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves the way such issues are handled in the future.
Andrew K — Google review
As many people have already commented, the service is a little slow, and I certainly agree. We needed to get the menu ourselves and ask the waitress to order. I believe the issue is that the venue is pretty large and the staff hasnt got a clear overview who actually enters the premises. On the other hand, the food was very good, and outside on the patio between the trees was nice and relaxing. I would still recommend this place, but you will need to be a little patient being served.
Christian B — Google review
Good Food. Great Service. A warm environment to spend some time on a cool Tamborine day. Food was really good, we ordered Beef Burger, chips and Salmon with tropical salad. It was amazing. We look forward to visiting again!!

We are locals on the mountain and thought we’d try the money trees new location after not loving it previously. We arrived around 9am on the Saturday and there was only about two other small groups seated. First thing we noticed was no drink menu but we just ordered some coffees and 3 meals. Basic hospitality tips would be to either bring cutlery with meals, or, tell people after paying where it is. Rather than make people walk all the way back into the cafe once food is at the table. It took over 15 minutes for coffee to arrive and well over half an hour for food to come out. It was not busy at all either. You get bugger all pancakes for $20 and it looks cheap, The other food bought out was missing ingredients, then took a further 10 minutes to rectify it. There’s better options on the mountain for a lot better money and value. Look elsewhere.

The Manor is a peaceful and relaxing place in the countryside, with gardens and an outdoor pool. The owners and their family are on site, and they were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a good portion, and it was cheaper than any cafe I've been to recently. The view from the balcony was nice, and the coffee was of high quality. Rooms had a manor-style character, and they were clean. I loved staying here!
Its a very antique and historical place. Well kept and preserved. Very corner of the manor speaks for its heritage. If you like a bit of different to usual accommodation, this is the place. Furniture, upholstery, lighting, toilet amenities, lounge, stairs, etc. Everything is very unique. Loved my night stay here. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful. This is an incredible place which is still run by the family that own it. Gorgeous old-style rooms, coupled with a perfect location and wonderfully personalised service. Their restaurant serves delicious food - breakfast all week and dinner for weekends - for old-school-reasonable prices, absolutely delicious. You won't find a place like this anywhere else - it's really unique, beautifully so.

We had planned to stay here for three nights. But left after two. The hotel is very neglected. The rooms are extremely neglected just about everything it’s broken or not functioning as it should also filthy. You don’t want to use it. The hot water tap had a hammer that would wake the entire complex every time you tried to turn it on. The curtains were so filthy. I didn’t feel like I could close them because I didn’t want to touch them. The door lock was broken on the Veranda and the only thing keeping it in place was a slide bolt . The windows had to be kept open at all times because of the smell in the room from being mouldy and dusty. What made worse was the people Next Door with smokers? So on occasion you needed to close the windows and then smell the dust? Not sure what’s worse smoke or dust? The hallways were covered in cobwebs and the door opposite our room frame was so rotted away that it didn’t reach the ground any more. Our first day/night there the room next door was not made up and the doors left open and the stench of the wet towel seat into the corridor just adding to the general ambience of the place. On entering the room the first sight we had was a dead cockroach on the ground followed by a dead spider. The only benefit I suppose is that they were dead. There was no hand soap or shower wash I didn’t bother asking for more because I thought I was for better to use stuff I brought from HoME. Would not recommend staying here at all.

We went for lunch and saw "Fish and chips or salad" on the menu for $14.90 and we both ordered it. The woman asked if we'd like Snapper or Barramundi which I thought was a nice touch. We chose Barramundi and were surprised when we got both chips and salad. I was also surprised when I was told we owed $70. It turns out that the basic meal we thought we ordered, comes with whiting. The owner scoffed when I said we weren't told we'd get something different to what we ordered, which annoyed me, hence my 1 star review.

In a word: Amazing! Do yourself a favour and book in :-) Our experience at the Manor was absolutely exceptional! Shay and his family went over and above to accommodate our needs. The menu is next level and we highly recommend the ‘Tamborine Special Pasta’; a delectable pasta with macadamia nuts, mushroom, white white sauce etc. It was one of the tastiest meals I have had in my entire life and the hosts were more than receptive to ensure my dietary needs were met. The manor has a gorgeous classic exterior and beautiful warm, ambient dining area, complete with an adorable fireplace. I cannot recommend this highly enough and we were so happy to discover that they also deliver to the Canungra area. Thank you so much, it was an absolute pleasure. We will return and recommend to all of our friends and family! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We dined at 1:00 in the first Saturday of school holidays. There were tables available and we sat outside. The staff were super friendly and nothing was a problem. I had the pork belly and it was an excellent example, with the sauce thick and tasty. The chips were cooked perfectly, being crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The salad was well assembled and the dressing sharp and in just the right amount. My beautiful wife had the barramundi and she loved it. It was coated thinly so the taste of the fish could shine through. Our coffees were terrific, with the flat white and dirty chai having an excellent balance of flavours. There were heaps of options to tempt us into coming back.

Food is good. If you like your fish and chips and chicken schnitzel then it’s a good place for it. Desserts really hit the spot and coffee is good. I had a double espresso. This place gets very busy on the weekends. The staff are young and always under pressure but they cope very well and handle the stress and do a good job. I’ve been told it’s hard to get good staff in the area. So to the owners and staff, keep up the good work. It’s one of our regular places we go to when we venture up the mountain.

There was Plenty of seating available - only one high chair. We ordered the chicken schnitzel with a can of soft drink and the Big breakfast. Total came to $50.48. The portion sizes were big, the food came out quickly and was well cooked and quite yummy. Overall, good location, quality meals and fair pricing.

Very pleasant experience. Caring staff. Big breakfast was spot on with huge portions and much reasonable price. I would highly recommend the place if your in the mountain. Easy parking. Outdoor open area dine in with heaters on for this chill weather. Lovely coffee. I will definitely be back.

Chicken parmi was good, but the pork belly was mostly fat. Photo attached to review. Could have been a one off experience or the usual. Really didn’t want to eat all that fat. Other than that, a pleasant meal.

The Best Coffee and Brunch Spot on the Mountain – Hands Down! As a local, I’ve tried just about every café on the mountain, and nothing compares to Bean and Brunch. It’s my daily go-to – in fact, I’m there twice a day! The coffee, made with love by Pam, is consistently the best I’ve had anywhere – rich, smooth, and always spot-on. And don’t even get me started on the food. AJ works absolute magic in the kitchen. Every meal is fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented – whether it’s a quick bite or a full brunch, I always leave satisfied. The warm, welcoming vibe makes it feel like a second home. If you’re passing through or lucky enough to live nearby, do yourself a favour and make this your next stop. You won’t regret it!

We had a nice lunch here. Chicken was quite juicy and tasty.

Food was really nice but you may need to wait for a long time for the chef to cook. Worth if you are not in a rush. Caesar Salad was especially amazing with the crispy bacon and fresh smoked salmon.

Had lunch here! $10 special fish n chips & 2 coffee's. Good value for money. But what made our day was Ella a young lady with the best customer service nothing was too much trouble. She served us at Cafe on Tambourine the day before & remembered us! Working at 2 cafes!!! She is an asset to the business & should train the other staff to make the coffee's as her coffee's are the best. Well done Ella hope to see you again sometime 👍
