6 star coffee in a modern gorgeous setting. Staff are amazing and experienced. Pastries and toasties are a little pricey for this retiree but look delicious.

Popped in very quickly to grab some takeaway lunch while my baby slept in the car. Service was great, very fast! I went back and waited in my car for a few minutes (with my sleeping baby) to find everything was ready and waiting for me on the counter when I went back in. Chicken baguettes are delicious and so was the coffee! Will definitely be back here again! Thank you 👌👌👌

Yum! Dropped in as this was the first cafe we saw while going through Broken Hill and wow, more vegan delicacies than any cafe we’ve been to, anywhere! Tried the strawberry lychee danish and it was sensational. Oh, the coffee is great too :)

Great find for on the way to Mundi. Plenty of gluten free options - the B&E roll was delicious. Coffee was best I’ve had in Broken Hill.

Absolutely delicious food, wonderful coffee (the cats pajamas) with very fair prices. Walk in and you'd swear it was on par with the big city! Best coffee in town by far.

To start, exc coffee. Interesting, enticing choice of food, we had Cheese Slaw Chicken huge toastie. Followed by divine Citrus Polenta delectable. Staff helpful, service prompt. Did I mention great repurposed venue.

Had some kind of breakfast (whatever the big breakfast type of option was from the menu), and it's up there with one of the best breakfasts I've had out. All of the ingredients were cooked well and had good flavour. Poached eggs' yolks were still runny - without still having runny whites. Piccolo latte was delicious 😋

A great coffee place in downtown broken hill. A fantastic flat white, exactly as it should be with that magic blend of sweetness from the milk and great shots of coffee. Strongly recommended if you're in town or passing through.

Quaint little cafe just off the main street. The service was good and efficient, Atmosphere is a bit stale. If you wear hearing aids be prepared for echo type background noise due to the high ceilings. The food was a let down. Ordered a Rueben and felt like I needed razor teeth to saw through the corned beef. They definitely chose the wrong cut of meat for the sandwich...much too sinewy and very hard to chew. Coffee was good.

GREAT COFFEE and perfect portion size ham and cheese croissant served warm not crushed! Top notch homewares especially Sage Clarke Happy days to all at this hidden gem! Went back this morning for eggs on toast and they were done to perfection. Also a big call out to the barista. The barista makes the coffee regardless of the brand/blend 😉

Best BLT ever, contained almost half a pig! Fresh lettuce and tasty mayo. My companion had the Brekky bruschetta which was equally amazing. Friendly staff too. A must stop cafe if you are passing through town

Slow service. Bacon and egg roll tiny on a sweet bun. Kind of like McDonalds hamburger. Yuk. Vegan ashes avo had feta on it. If I was allergic to dairy, call the ambulance 🙄😡

Eggs Benedict and coffee were excellent! Great way to start the day. Inside seating is warm and welcoming. There is outside seating available as well. Staff were friendly and efficient. Thank you!

I've had hundreds of steak sandwiches all around Australia, and I have to say, that was the best steak sandwich I've had in many many years. They are not charging enough for it (in Melbourne/Sydney you'd pay twice as much to get less). You get the Turkish bread, bacon, ailoli, egg, proper serving of chips the lot. Highly, highly recommend tell your friends.

Went here as I was looking for gluten free cafe. No mention on menu of any gf or gfo meals. Had to ask at counter. Was told salad was gf. Asked if beef patty in burger was gf as I was thinking of having a naked burger. Server did not know nor did chef. Always concerned about a premise's knowledge of gf when it's not addressed on the menu, and the chef doesnt know about ingredients. I wouldn't return here for a gf meal.

I went there because it was open early. Was surprised to get the best bacon and egg roll I've had in my life. Lightly toasted brioche bun, heaps of bacon. Just brilliant

We enjoyed the comfortable sofas by the window overlooking the mine railings, indulging in the old mining town ambience. The staff warm and friendly, the coffee was nice but the cakes on offer were quite lackluster. We ended up with orange and almond cake, and a toffee topped cheesecake. Both were below average in taste and texture.

This was very bad meal. The frittata and Turkish bread were not toasted. They were almost inedible. The staff were quite nice. The comfort and building very good. The cup of tea was in a cardboard cup with wooden cutlery. Tourists beware. There are some other wonderful places to eat. This is definitely not one of them.

So now we we have to ask for butter on a sandwich? Was dry as, in a minute after opening the package...then I discovered no butter was there. Tight as... Not at all impressed. Get another tenant for the building. Travellers arrive tired and hungry. Bad rap for your city.

Just had 2 filo pastries, $12.50 each!! The filling in the spinach & fetta was gooey as was the pastry. Asked for peppermint tea, got green. Tried to use my loyalty card, not accepted " we have our own card. Can I have one? Sorry we don't have any." 2 pastries, tea & coffee, $34.40. Too expensive for me.

Food is gross, microwaved a bacon and egg roll it was rock hard and bacon looked green. Messed up coffee order as well but at least coffee was drinkable. This is why the maccas is so busy in the morning

Nice coffee very friendly service, and lovely snacks (recommend the ham & cheese on turkish bread). The owner let us in five minutes before their stated opening time on Saturday morning, which was nice of them (no chance of that happening in a capital city!) Recommended.

This place has the best steak sandwiches down town, awesome tasty veg quiche, great fisherman’s basket, nice coffee and delicious pastries😁👌. We were in Broken Hill for the 2025 Mystery Box Rally. Customer service was great, the ladies really made you feel welcome. The food was quick & delicious!

Ww didn't eat but enjoyed tea and coffee here. The staff are just delightful. The menu boards are colourful and the dishes on offer look like great home made stuff. My husband says his coffee was hot and excellent quality and I was chuffed to receive Noritake fine china in which ti enjoy my tea. A great spot to relax with a culpa.

Good proper coffee. I had poached eggs on toast. My husband had scrambled. Both tasty. Prices are reasonable, service quick. There’s parking front . No need to book. There’s sandwiches, cakes, slices and other homemade dishes available.

I stumbled across Charlotte’s for Brekky & the food is a WOW factor. Went back this morn for 2nd lot of chicken/vegie soup & will be back tomorrow before leaving B/H. Wife had a steak sandwich which was perfect. Owner Jenny is an awesome host. Highly recommended!

Charlotte is fictitious but the blond lady serving was wonderful, kind and warm. Thoroughly enjoyed her service. Dad and I shared a big breakfast and my sister got the spaghetti on toast. Filling and yummy.

We dined here for lunch with our two young children after having spent the previous week camping in the desert. We had such a wonderful experience. The food was not only delicious but also high quality and home cooked (quiches with lots of fresh veggies) and yummy toasted sandwiches for the kids. The best part was the incredible desserts which were also so beautifully presented. The lemon meringue was a stand out. Staff were very genuine and friendly exactly as you would expect from a regional town - very down to earth and authentic.

The coffee is awesome, the spinach & cheese pastry is sooo good and tasty, must try, the desserts are tasty. Noah’s juices are really good😋👍, the Nasi goreng is really nice and fresh, the pasta carbonara was average, Everyone enjoyed. The mediterranean & roasted veg Quiche was really delicious! The best! Love the crispy & flavourful chips. The special Greek lamb & salad is really healthy & delicious👍. Also love the roasted veg frittata! If you visit Broken Hill this Cafe and coffee shop is the place to visit. Great food and the best coffee and the hospitality was the best everyone was very welcoming. Would definitely come again and recommend this Cafe to everyone when they visit Broken Hill. Thank you to all the staff at Soul Cafe I will definitely be back again.

Just had to review this place 👌 Service is excellent from very friendly staff. Now if you like sausage rolls, as I do, & find it hard to get a good home made style with flavour… well jackpot these Sausage Rolls are made in-house two types Beef & a beef’n cheese both are excellent. My wife enjoyed the cakes & slices again made in-house.. This ended up a daily visit for morning tea Cappuccino/ latte while we were visiting Broken Hill 👍 Bonus cappuccino & latte’s are excellent too 😉

Great cafe that opens early (for BH) and closes late. Desserts and cakes are great. Pies are good too - esp the curry beef. Vege quiche is great too.

Adelaide ,, takeaway note this Macca's is very good . Table service as well . No long waits here.

We walked in and we grabbed three frozen drinks and a soft serve we grabbed them in separate orders and grabbed our drinks and waited for our soft serve, after fifteen minutes we still hadn’t gotten it and told them about it and he made it and he through the thing out we were not happy with that which made me post this review Illustrated by Jace

Stopped in town for Mundi Mundi Bash and have had Maccas twice now. Best Maccas I think I've ever had. Chips are always hot and salty, and burgers don't look like landslides. Just seeing how the team works so smoothly and efficiently. Whoever is managing or who owns this store, you are doing an amazing job!

It's MacDonald's. You get what you pay for but I always find ordering on the video display a challenge and the guy behind the counter took my order and was super helpful 👌

This place has awesome creamy ice cream, nice salty fries, big juicy burgers, good orange juice, crispy apple pies and delicious chicken wraps must try👌the mozzarella sticks & salsa is delicious, the Angus beef burger is nice but the beef paddies is over portioned. McDs has fast service, friendly staff, comfortable sitting and nice atmosphere. Thanks guys😁👍. Big Macs is the best. The BBQ Angus beef is really good, also the nuggets are always tasty and crunchy. Who would have thought that you could get a decent cafe style breakfast in remote outback NSW. This little cafe is open everyday of week and churning out great liquid black gold and delicious meals. There is plenty of seating indoors or if it’s not too hot outside grab a chair on the curb side settings. The staff are super friendly and accomodating. The eggs benny is delicious and the serving sizes and price on point. Grab one of their freshly squeezed juice combinations, they don’t disappoint.

Perfect place for a lovely Sunday breakfast. Weather on the go or eating in the food is just what you need to start a day in Broken Hill. Cinnamon waffles we're my favourite with friends indulging in breakfast burger, plates were clean when we left.

A small little cafe serving gourmet food out in the middle of nowhere. Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon with a latte was as good as I have had in Sydney. Would easily eat here again.

Good coffee, nice meals-poached egg overcooked, friendly service. Forgot one of our coffees but promptly made it and apologised. Fresh juices really nice! Would go again.

A lovely little cafe. The food is excellent and very reasonable and they are open until 4pm, such a rarity in this area! The waitress was very helpful and the food arrived quickly.

Slow service ,lukewarm coffee, got served cake plain when asked for cream and partner served wrong cake. Need to look after customers better as without them business doesn't succeed. 😏🙄

What a gem this place was. Friendly staff, timely service and food was delicious I had creamy garlic prawn risotto and it could not be faulted. My friend had lamb shanks on mash with broccolini. Serves were generous. Menu had lots of offer and there were great special options.Prices were also realistic.

This cafe has changed hands a few times over the years with varying quality. It's currently quite good. It always looks very clean, usually good service. Coffee is a 3/5. Decent food. This is probably the best sit down lunch for 1 block in any direction from the post office.

They may have had a bad day, but OMG! Simple breakfast ordered, A 55 minutes wait, while watching locals order, eat and leave while we watched. Asked about what was going on, but just got the run around. Finally arrived overcooked and cold. Had to chase and serviettes and no milk for coffee.

Advertise gluten free but it wasn’t. No kitchen just a hot plate on the counter that everything gets cooked on and smokes out the eating area. The bacon tastes like old bore and you’ll smell it all day.

Our first choice for breakfast was super busy so we found the Kitchen Window, big mistake? When we entered you had a strong odor of bacon. They were cooking on a small hotplate directly behind the reception counter. No exhaust hood, so your clothes will smell like a egg and bacon roll. This lady needs to try another line of work. Don't waste your time. . ..

Nice and quiet, the pancakes were absolutely divine. The snuggleberry smoothie was lovely and refreshing without being overtly sweet.

I’m from Sydney and visited Broken Hill, we stopped at the Kitchen on ANZAC day 2025. The food is fantastic and the coffee is the best on the Broken Hill side of the Darling river. Highly recommended, go and meet the friendly staff.

Waited and waited and waited and finally walked out. 3 ladies all “busy” either cooking or faffing about with no acknowledgement we were there. You gotta wonder why…

Being a coffee lover, we are always on the hunt for the best coffee in all of the places we visit. This is by far the best in Broken Hill, it's a great blend & the coffee is consistent. The Italian baked goods are a delicious bonus. On Wednesday they do a donut type pastry that is a must try, it literally melts in your mouth. The staff are awesome & the Barista knows their craft... go no where else!

Early morning (6:30am) coffee and breakfast before driving back to Adelaide. Line up before it opened told me it was popular. Great coffee and enjoyed the toasted sandwich.
