Brewery
Rockfish Grill & Anacortes Brewery is a family-friendly brewpub located in Anacortes' Old Town district. It offers a casual atmosphere with a beer garden and regular live music. The menu features classic pub fare such as fish 'n' chips, pizza, and house-brewed ales. The establishment is known for its high-quality bar food, including individually-sized wood-fired pizzas with creative toppings like pineapple, roasted garlic, Gorgonzola cheese, and smoked salmon.
Absolutely loved this place! We arrived to the start of a lunch rush and we were greeted and seated right way. The atmosphere was smiles all around and open to all the questions I had. Mainly local and personal favorite our server would recommend. It was awesome to try out the beers before I decided on one. The food was definitely fresh, hot and amazing! This was our first time in Anacortes but this brewery makes us want to come back every year!
The H — Google review
The food was solid, but what really sets this place apart is the excellent service and impressive house-made beer selection. I had the bowl of chili, and my wife had the clam chowder. The chili was a bit on the watery side and lacked a strong chili flavor, and my wife found the clam chowder to have a similar consistency. However, the pretzels with beer cheese were fantastic, and the variety of in-house beers is surprisingly large for such a small restaurant. To top it off, the cheesecake brownie was absolutely out of this world! Oyster shooters were fresh but at $5 a pop, quite pricey.
Jason R — Google review
Great service. Friendly/prompt/attentive. Pan fried oysters were done well, good amount of breading though. NY Steak cooks medium rare, juicy with a nice sear. Waffle fries for the wine. A bit too salty but still good. Can't complain about the clam chowder, had a nice bit of heat to it but not overwhelming. Smoke salmon penne was spot on with a creamy pesto sauce.
Darnell K — Google review
Overall really great service. The food came out quick and our server was super friendly. The food came out very quick (10-15 min). We all got the fish and chips, the fish was good, the fries were okay. The coleslaw was definitely a perfect side with the dish. And their house made sauce is fantastic with anything fried. We ended with their brownie cheesecake, and it was amazing. One of the best brownies I’ve ever had, and it’s big enough to feed 4-6 people easily.
Brayden C — Google review
Amazing place to eat in Anacortes! Even though I grew up here I hadn't been to this restaurant, I came here last time I was in town visiting family and I loved it! The food was delicious, we were seated quickly, and the staff and other customers were nice! The portions of food were very large as well! I came here with my Fiancé and my little sister. My little sister got a pot pie and it looked big enough for the 3 of us! I got a pulled pork sandwich and it was too much to finish! My fiancé got the ribs! Everything was delicious, this will be somewhere we return to each time we visit now!
Nugget — Google review
Great service! Our server was attentive and always checking in. The Etouffee was listed as spicy on the menu but it really was SPICY! The Etouffee was too saucy and not enough of the shrimps, and sausages, etc. The Mushroom Swiss Burger was juicy. The brownie ala mode was gigantic and very tasty but then again, I haven’t met too many brownies that I don’t love. :-) On Saturday evenings, there’s usually a band playing. This week it was Jomama. They were quite good. Overall a good visit!
S T — Google review
Do NOT eat here. The food is terrible. We ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and it was so dry and overcooked it was like jerky. The mushrooms were so dry and crispy I could have crushed them into a powder. I subbed chowder for my fries for 2.99 and it was essentially a small cup of milk. We also got fish and chips and while the fish was good, the breading had a weird flavor. Fish and chips were served with a gross flavored sauce which I believe to be a red pepper flavored Tatar, it was a huge miss. Almost $70 with tip for 2 meals and no drinks. I would pay to not eat there again.
Riley H — Google review
I visited on a Tuesday for a late lunch/early dinner. It was not crowded at all. A few folks at the bar and maybe 3 tables had folks seated. Service was pretty slow all things considered. However, everyone was super friendly and helpful. Lots of laughter and happiness. The food was fantastic! I had the Crab Mac & Cheese with Broccolini and the Margarita Shrimp Cocktail. I really enjoyed both dishes. I even love the Broccolini and I'm not usually a big fan. I would eat here again!

Super enjoyable! Very friendly bartender. Possibly the best quesadilla my mother and I have had. Amazingly comprehensive back bar. Friendly regulars. Good draft selection. Fun sports atmosphere with memorabilia all over the ceiling and walls. Very worth a visit if you are a fan of traditional bars! Go here!

Great Food, But Disappointing Policy on ID I visited this restaurant in September and had a great experience delicious fish and chips, good Irish beer, and friendly service. Naturally, I was excited to return. However, this time, I encountered an issue that left me disappointed. Despite being 30 years old and presenting my ID, driver’s license, and even a scanned copy of my passport on my phone, the staff refused to serve me a beer unless I showed my physical passport. My boyfriend, who is American, also showed his ID, yet this was not enough. It felt unnecessary and frustrating, especially given that I had no issues during my previous visit. That being said, the restaurant itself remains a nice place with good food, and I would have loved to enjoy their beer again. if only I had been allowed to. Hopefully, they reconsider their strict ID policy in the future.
Paula G — Google review
A great sports pub with good music, friendly staff and very clean. My husband's glass of Blanton's and the calamari were the stars of the show. My husband had the Roast Beef Pepper Melt, and I had the mushroom, Swiss, bacon burger special with the fried mac & cheese triangles as the side. The fries were a bit lacking and the Mac & cheese was kraft but the sandwiches were delish. Overall, a great place to go for affordable food and drinks!
Jessica M — Google review
Food was great but waited way too long after we ordered. Took about an hour for our food to arrive. Great atmosphere, outdoor seating was nice.
DeWayne D — Google review
The atmosphere was super chill. We stopped by for a quick lunch and were happy with the sliders and the Mac n cheese bites. The sliders were delicious and juicy while the Mac n cheese bites were a little lacking in flavor they were very cheesy and piping hot! The waitress was friendly and the outdoor seating option is always a plus.

First time here, WON’T be the last! Good vibes, atmosphere, outside beer garden, ALL GREAT! Friendly staff, Good cider on tap! Wednesday is all you can eat gumbo ( only $14!!)
Michael Z — Google review
It's isn't gourmet just really good! Their French dip wasn't exactly what I wanted because it had pepper jack and onions and I just can't handle spices all the time. They took the onions off and used cheddar and it was really as close to excellent as you c a n get. The equalizer was a delicious drink. My son said the Lamb burger was really good! Oh did I mention the fries? Really really good. It's a sports bar with a dark woodsy feel. Waitress was very nice and good. The food can out a couple clicks past when it should have but was really hot.
Rhonda S — Google review
Great variety of food (check out their oysters, and burger sliders) and various cocktails and tasty draught beers (hazy IPA’s in particular). The right hand side is kid friendly. Service is on top of their game and makes sure no glass is empty.

Seafood restaurant
Bob's Chowder Bar & BBQ Salmon is a popular neighborhood spot in Anacortes, WA, offering a variety of seafood staples such as chowder and fried fare. The restaurant provides a low-key dining experience with outdoor picnic tables. It is known for its high-quality local seafood, including fish and chips, fried oysters, and fish sandwiches. Visitors can expect friendly service and delicious food at fair prices.
This place gives off cool retro vibes and serves amazing food, though it's a bit oily. Definitely order the chowder in sourdough bowl and pork skewers—it's a must-try. Overall, I had a nice experience. It wasn't busy when I visited, but it's a good idea to call ahead and make a reservation just in case. Did experienced a bit delay in getting orders (or maybe I was too hungry that’s why it felt like 😂)
Samrat R — Google review
Wow! Delicious. These guys know how to fry food! The fries are amazing. Fish n chips soooo good. Fresh flavors and great taste. 11/10 recommend
Parley B — Google review
In the area? Go here! The service, vibe, and food was amazing! The staff were so helpful and kind in helping me make the best selections for my gluten free dietary needs. The Manhattan Chowder was divine and my halibut fish tacos superb! My husband had the chowder sampler, which was a great way to get to try four unique chowders. He the devoured a oyster burger and a MASSIVE slice of maple bacon cake. I finished my meal with a rich GF chocolate dessert with marshmallow topping. Worth every penny, we’ll be back for sure when we’re back in Anacortes!
Linsey S — Google review
Not from the area but this place has a great variety of seafood including clam chowder, fried oysters, fish and chips and more! I had the chowder sampler and it was terrific to try different types of chowders. Ever had Salmon chowder??
Abi C — Google review
Good food, really good Chowder. The inside of the restaurant surprises you. Does not match the outside. Really nice atmosphere, with lots of room between tables. Only issue was that my server seemed a bit new at his job. After bringing us our food, he never came and checked back on us till our meal was all done. My husband had finished his drink and had wanted a refill less than half way through the meal. We shared and nursed my little Pepsi the entire time. Other than that it was a great place, and I'm sure the waiter will get better with time.
Drita D — Google review
I have been coming here for about 10 years. I do enjoy the breaded cod fish, but I usually only eat a few of the french fries as they below average. The coleslaw is always bitter as well. They should stop serving coleslaw and serve better fries. I would assume most people come for the fish and the chowder which are both very good. As with everything, prices seem to be getting a little out-of-control. One piece fish and chips and a small cup of chowder after tax and tip was almost $25.
Dale S — Google review
Lived up to the hype! Stopped in on a rainy cold day for some warm food and loved everything we ordered. Delicious chowder, excellent fish n chips, and overall a neat coastal atmosphere. Parking is easy and prices were fair. Big fan!
Taylor G — Google review
The service here was awesome. The vibe was great. The cod fish was a little dry but it was still good. I recommend the halibut over the cod fish and chips. We also got the fried pickles which I recommend getting as well. The flavor and the crunch was perfect. Defiantly can tell all this was home made. If you’re In the area it’s worth a stop by!

Frida's Gourmet Mexican Cuisine is a charming restaurant located in downtown Anacortes, paying homage to the renowned Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. The decor is adorned with her iconic paintings, creating a unique and artistic ambiance. This boutique eatery offers a blend of traditional Mexican dishes and innovative modern cuisine, all named after prominent Mexican painters and cultural figures.
Truly a welcoming restaurant. Despite being the last hour they were open and a huge art festival set up happening outside the staff was more than gracious when we arrived. I had the best crunchy tacos I’ve had in a long time! Chicken in corn tortillas fried to perfection. My sister had a version of chile rellenos which was delicious as well. Covered in a creamy green sauce not to spicy for her or I. I was lucky enough to steal a bite! Both entrees came with rice and beans. Nothing spectacular but just right with the dinners. And the beans were served in a cute little tortilla chip that was a fun way to eat. I did have a margarita but my sister did. And she kept saying wow! This is good. Which I know is a good sign. Definitely highly recommended to come here for dinner.

3/25/2025: The two of us stopped in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The decor is very warm and welcoming, high ceilings and art of Frida Kahlo. Service very friendly and attentive. We ordered margarita, sangria, guacamole, steak fajitas, and chiles mathias goeritz. Everything was delicious. The menu has gourmet and traditional items you'd find at other Mexican restaurants. I loved seeing gourmet dishes not normally found and was happy to try something I don't normally see.
Darnell K — Google review
The food was authentic and tasted very flavorful. Service was nice and friendly.
Petra A — Google review
First off, the food is delicious so on that point alone I’d definitely be back. The only slight downside is that the service seems a bit chaotic and unorganized. Not unfriendly, just rushed and confused even though it was not busy.
Tisha A — Google review
Great atmosphere. Loved that they have a broad selection of wines from the way too under represented baja california wine country. Server was extremely friendly and helpful. The cooking style is from mexico city and southern mexico and a refreshing change from the exact same burritos, enchiladas and fajitas that show up at every other mexican restaurant in washington. I ordered duck breast en mole and it was sweet savory and delicious.
Eric P — Google review
Cute but aged Mexican restaurant. Love the Frida artwork and touch of fresh flowers but menu prices outside don’t reflect the newly updated prices. Plan for a 20-30% increase in prices on their actual menu once you’re seated. Food was decent and service was really fast. Would recommend looking at other restaurants before coming here.
Anna W — Google review
Visited 7-21-25. Walk-ups, party of two. We have visited this place annually over the past 10 years. Both the service and the food had always been excellent. That night however, the service was absolutely horrid, from being lied to three times about the wait time (we were initially told ten minutes, and then 15 minutes later told ten more minutes, and then ten minutes later told ten more minutes), to the table service once were were seated, with forgotten order items, drinks, etc. The only dining staff on duty that night was an older gentleman who acted as host and server, and a young gal, who only provided buss services. When the bill came, the older gentleman apologized for only the wait, and blamed it on the establishment being busy. I found this to be a bit funny, since it was he and he alone who was controlling the volume of patrons in the place. He knew I knew that he had done a shitty job all around. Ordinarily, I'm a 30% tipper in establishments we love to patronize. This night however, I was a 0% tipper. I refuse to award bad service. I wish I could have tipped the cook directly, as again the food was excellent.
Rob S — Google review
I've been here quite a lot and the food is consistently pretty good. And I love the atmosphere and the creative menu. But the last few times I've gone the house margaritas were tasteless (others at the table agreed). Not sure if they were short on bartenders or using old mix or what, but they were inexcusably bad. I hope they fix this bc I like going there... but c'mon.

Nestled in the heart of Anacortes on Fidalgo Island, Salt & Vine - Cheese & Wine Bar is a delightful destination for food and wine enthusiasts. This charming spot offers an impressive selection of quality wines paired with gourmet cheeses and savory Italian meats, making it perfect for those looking to indulge in a cozy atmosphere.
My boyfriend and I had a lovely little date at this spot a couple of weeks ago. The owner was attentive and friendly. They have a very good wine selection, and the charcuterie we ordered was plated beautifully. The portion of cheeses/fruits/meats was also very plentiful for the price. Highly recommend this spot!!

Nestled in the heart of Anacortes, Anchor Inn stands out as a beloved dining spot that truly prioritizes its patrons over profit. This cozy establishment may be small, but it offers an abundance of charm and character. The tavern features a jukebox with an eclectic mix of tunes, from classic country to modern rock, creating a lively atmosphere for guests to enjoy.
Great small town atmosphere! Come in and try the hellbent IPA greats taste and the bartender has a great voice. Very welcoming crowd! Stopped in to waist some time and use the rest room it's a cool spot and very clean

Good jukebox, the internet of selections, played at great volume, h€¥% Yeah! Nice pool tables, well taken care of. Very cool bar tender/owner.
Clay H — Google review
I visited Anchor Inn after working an all-nighter and walking around to decompress. I ordered a martini, some wings, and then asked for a beer. Despite being calm, quiet, and clearly not slurring my words, the bartender cut me off—while patrons next to me were actively pounding shots and beers. I understand that after 24 hours awake, I may have looked fatigued, but I wasn’t intoxicated. I even recorded myself afterward to verify I wasn’t slurring. What disappointed me most wasn’t being cut off—it was the lack of concern or basic human decency. No offer of water. No, “Hey man, you doing alright?” Instead, the interaction felt like a public power move. If you’re from out of town and not fully adjusted to the time zone, think twice. And if you’re an attractive woman? I saw a visibly drunk regular grab a woman by the hips—no one said a word. Maybe this place works for some locals, but between the selective enforcement and lack of care, I won’t be back.

A great local dive bar. If you enjoy old dive bars, this is a great place. Emily is great!
Dr. F — Google review
We wanted to play pool and decided to grab a bite to eat. From the start, the service was terrible! And there was only one other person in the place. The bartender barely acknowledged us. We ordered the fish & chips. They were under-cooked (Unsafe by food handling requirements) and greasy. We couldn’t eat them. The general indoor air was smoke filled from the fryer in the kitchen. We stayed long enough to play 3 games of pool. We had to approach the bartender for drink refills each time. We even had to come to the bar to get our credit card slip. We only received merchant copy and no customer copy or itemized bill). She did however come over right as we were completing tip and signing credit card slip. Which we left on table with our empties. As we were walking out she asked where credit card slip was like we were running out wthout paying. Yes we made her go to the table and get the signed credit card slip. Emily is callous, rude and I have to say, lazy. We won’t be back. Terrible experience.

Dive bar. 100%. Loved it! Must go if you love people. Loved the out of towners that we're a bit freaked out by decor (including me). Amazing beer selection for such an odd little pub. Bartender was amazing. Has stories, worked in other Anacortes locations and loves his little bar. If you're into meeting people and love a good read...see photo....stop by.
Kimberley M — Google review
The wings are amazing and the chicken strips were awesome. Great service fun staff and inviting atmosphere
Lawrence D — Google review
Okay I really like this bar...one thing that needs to change is variety music for the jukebox, I wish it was set up so we could just log in with our phones and pick our own music. The jukebox has a very very limited selection of music which sucks at times, bring your ear buds I guess and it's all good. Okay besides that...two pool tables and a shuffleboard. Nice outside smoking area and okay parking. The bartenders always seem friendly and they and know how to pour serve a drink. The food is bar food - fish and chips are good. Parking both in front of the bar and back of the bar. The people who hang out here seem like real cool folks, I enjoy coming here, I feel this is going to be my new hangout. I am learning to play pool so that's why this place caught my interest. I also noticed they have sign ups for a pool league.

Decided to go to dinner @ the hotel around 6 pm so we went online & booked a 6:30 reservation for a Friday night. We were greeted & seated at our reserved table immediately. We ordered the fondue as an appetizer to share. We were so pleasantly surprised by the taste & presentation. The sourdough & apple dippers were delicious as was the cheese. We also ordered the burger to share. The kitchen divided the burger & fries for us on two plates. For dessert we ordered the apple crumble with ice cream. All of the food was fresh & delicious. Portions were generous. Service was fantastic. Highly recommend for dinner when in Anacortes.
Terri D — Google review
The food here is not good. We found it extremely disappointing! The apple crumble was a conglomeration of syrupy granola with apple in there somewhere and topped with more sweetness. Or was not set but more like a bowl of individual items. The morning granola and yoghurt seemed to consist of broken oat cookies with the yoghurt. The French toast and bacon was good however.
Janet A — Google review
The rooftop at the Majestic is a must stop summertime visit if in Anacortes. The views are incredible and the food is even better! Had a Caesar Salad and a Majestic Burger which were both delectable, but that burger was DIFFERENT! Exquisite taste with your tastebuds jumping for joy every bite. Secondly, the service was awesome. Cherese, my server was very polite and quick to make things happen! Couldn’t ask for a better time. Will easily come back again and again!

Our party of two strolled in for brunch after staying the night at the Majestic Inn to a mostly empty but posh space. Having visited a few years back, the fresh face lift in this space was well done. Open, bright, and updated gives swanky vibes without losing casual comfortability. Sports played on the TVs behind the bar. Various staff members were bustling around, presumably with room service orders, maintenance, and transitioning from morning shifts. Despite their busy-ness each acknowledged us with a friendly greeting and smiles. We selected a low lounge table in the bar area and was promptly welcomed by our server. We asked for her recommendations on a couple of things and she candidly answered. We ordered Bloody Maria's, yogurt parfait, and the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. We were torn between so many other options like the Seafood and Tasso Benedicts and the Cinnamonroll French Toast, it was hard to choose without our server's expertise. Her recommendations did not disappoint! Serving sizes were just right without overindulging and having enough to power a tourist's rounds through town. We are already planning a return to visit the seasonal Rooftop for cocktails, fresh oysters and happy hour. We took a trip up to the outdoor rooftop area which is on the new building, and the views are unmatched! Seeing as far as the San Juan Islands, Fidalgo Bay, and the tops of Anacortes DEFINTELY worth the short walk over while the weather was cooperating.

I've enjoyed drinks and food on the rooftop several times this summer. I keep forgetting to take photos. Had a late lunch/early dinner on Saturday. The place was packed as the Anacortes Arts Festival was going on. The server was a bit slow to get to us however it was completely understandable with a full house and apparently it was shift change too. We ordered 2 burgers and one flat bread along with drinks. Oh MY!! The burger was so very good! Not sure what they do to it but It really was delicious and so was the flat bread that I tasted. I will definitely be back not just for the food. The view from the top is gorgeous, one of the few if the only place in Anacortes to have a nice meal while enjoying the water views. I highly recommend spending time on the rooftop during summer! I will be checking out the inside restaurant very soon.

Union Tavern - Local 902 is a popular dining spot in Anacortes, Washington. This restaurant offers a diverse menu with a focus on seafood and local cuisine. Visitors can enjoy fresh seafood dishes, as well as other options such as burgers and salads. The ambiance is casual and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal with friends or family.
After hours of shopping at Shipwreck days. Our waitress was wonderful and helped us secure a table. Such a wonderful assortment of menu choices. I dropped one star due to many of the chairs, and barstools are not comfortable for sitting for long periods. Other than that, the experience was wonderful, and the food was worth the wait.

Really cool spot! Great beer selection. Chili was hearty and a little bit of a spicy kick. Seattle dog was leveled up with jalapenos. Tuna melt was plenty filling.
Darnell K — Google review
Hit the Union Tavern for dinner after a day of boat work. The staff was courteous and know how to take care of their customers. The drinks were cold and the food was great……and not the typical bar fare. Not the usual burgers and fried stuff. I had the Ruben sandwich with a side salad, and my son-in-law had the shepherd’s pie: both were very tasty. Visits there don’t break the bank……
Gibbeys — Google review
Good pub food and beer, friendly and helpful staff. We had a build-your-own hot dog, chili dog, shepherd's pie, and tuna melt. We would order it all again except for the tuna melt.

Aside from taking forever, the Chicken Pot Pie was quite delicious! Though a little extra on the salt, I took comfort in knowing it was freshly made when it came out piping hot!

I love this place. First off, the bartenders were also running food and they were killing it. Seriously fantastic staff. The beer selection is awesome and I love that you can order a 20 or even 34 oz beer. Food was tasty, and I tried a pickled egg for the first time and even liked that. I will be going here a lot.

Excellent pub fare. Goid service Tasty and good size sandwiches. (CC fee)

Could not see the beer list that was written on the wall on the other side of the bar. Was able to select a beer and was given something I did not order. Great community gather spot but needs some fine tuning as far as getting a current beer list to its customers and delivering the correct selection.

Nestled at the entrance to Anacortes, Whidbey, and the stunning San Juan Islands, Bastion Brewing Company is a gem among Skagit Valley's 13 breweries. With a seven-barrel brewing system, they craft an impressive selection of ales and lagers that are both clean and flavorful. The brewery features a fast-casual dining menu that pairs perfectly with their exceptional beer offerings.
We had stopped to put gas on our way thru Anacortes and noticed this brewery. The food was delicious, hot and worth it. The bar is on the other side of where you order food. I got a blueberry hill cider. Definitely will be back. We loved the smoked wings!

This was our first time visiting and it definitely won’t be our last!! We made reservations for our party of 10 and the table was ready and waiting when we got there a little early! The atmosphere is wonderful! Very family friendly!! The food was beyond wonderful! Several in our group had the ribs and said they were the best they’ve had! (And we eat out a lot!) the other food was just as delicious and it was amazing to have excellent options for vegetarians! With flavor!!! The service was also exceptional - everyone was very friendly and very accommodating! The ciders were very refreshing, and the flavors were superb! Excited to return and we will spread the word! Thanks for making a birthday celebration even happier!

Beer and BBQ?! Yes this place has it all!! We were lucky enough to come in a day when they were serving BBQ platters and I was not disappointed. We started off with smoked wings and then I got a 3 meat platter with mac & cheese and coleslaw. My girlfriend got a special, smoked sirloin sandwich. They were both great! Plus there was a huge selection of beers and ciders to pair with it. You can even bring your gldoggo friends inside or enjoy the weather on the outdoor porch with has private booths! Service was great too! Only thing missing was live music.

Appreciate the friendly, attentive staff. The dog friendly atmosphere is fantastic, especially free biscuits (just ask my dog). Our food presented well, but onion rings were greasy, my fries not hot. All in all, glad to support veteran owned business. Do come check them out!

Honestly it's so unimposing when you first drive up. You will not be disappointed. It's beautiful inside and it's kid and dog friendly. The food was fantastic and so was the service. We can't wait to go back!!!

I've had their wings before and they were really good. A little over priced but good. The reason for my review today is because I went back and ordered a bbq bowl. The dish was very plain even with its ingredients.. it comes with sauce and no sauce was put in the bag I ordered some coleslaw and it also wasn't worth the month.. kinda dry. I don't recommend this place for the price and quality of food I received today will not be returning unfortunately.

Stopped here for brunch. Very Friendly and welcoming staff. Since they were out of chicken patties, we ordered a the Hawaiian veggie patties burger. I was blown away by the taste of the burger and never had such a good veggie burger. The onion rings were of top notch quality as well. The chicken wings were smoked too much and I felt it wasn’t juicy and hard to chew.

Our party of 3 loved our burgers and fries! We had meant to order a pretzel appetizer and forgot. But...kinda glad we didn't because the burgers were so good! Next time, we are trying the pretzel. I also loved their in house BBQ sauce. Really unique and tasty.

Mexican restaurant
Latin American restaurant
Today was my first visit to Anacortes, and I decided to try out the Real Tequila Bar and Restaurant for a meal. I opted to order inside and take the food with me. The service was impressively quick and friendly, with the added bonus of having a fluent Spanish speaker present. It's worth mentioning that the server attempted to converse in Spanish after taking orders from other customers who spoke the language.
Came at around 4pm on a Friday. Got there before the rush, which was nice. Food was really good. I personally recommend the fajitas. They were so good. Came with rice and beans. Can choose from flour or corn tortillas. Came with a lot of meat! Rice and beans are above average for Mexican restaurants. The drinks were normal size and tasted good as well. The Paloma is a good choice. The server turned the day around and was good by the end of our stay. A lady came around and checked on us and was super friendly. It’s worth a try if you’re considering it!

Our first time here. Guests next to us suggested the special, Molcajete Bowl. We did it! We shared it. Worth every penny. We both agreed it was the best flavor we have ever had with Mexican Food. We have had some great Mexican food, local, San Diego, Texas, etc. This place was great. Margaritas are good too. The staff is amazing. If you are still reading, stop. Just go, you won’t be disappointed. Spend the money and get the special. So delicious.

My 80-year old parents and I ate here during a stay to Anacortes. We like simple, unpretentious Mexican food and everything we had was delicious! My mom said it was the best Mexican meal she’s had in a long time. The beans, the rice, the enchiladas were all so good. And we had 3 margaritas and they were delicious as well. Our server was super sweet and kind. We highly recommend!
Jennyfromtheblock — Google review
The service was non-existent. We were forgotten..we asked the (I presume) owner if we could order. Chili Relleno was tough, could not chew through it...and the three-taco plate was OK. All the food was bland. We asked to pay....a number of times. No one came back. Not to ask how the food was, more water, pick the credit card up...nothing. They charge for an extra salsa! The bill was $50.00 bucks!! Eventually, the man came over with a credit card machine. I am giving an extra star because there was one waitress.

Wow, Amazing, a complete culinary oragasam I've eaten at a number of Mexican restaurants and hands down, Real Tequila in Anacortes is by far the best Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at. Service was spot on, food was prepared and served quickly and cooked to perfection. DO NOT FORGET TO FINISH OFF YOUR MEAL WITHOUT HAVING SOME FLAN. Servers were attentive to their customers' every need. Absolutely the best. 10 out of five stars Update: We moved away from the area and have been gone for about a year and we came back to have lunch and nothing has changed the food is still excellent the service is excellent the atmosphere is excellent again nothing has changed just places absolutely amazing quality is consistent

This place is awful. The waitress was clearly unqualified. We came in we got chips and salsa. The waitress came up and said that we want something to drink we said water to start. She said I'll be back she came back no water wanted to take our drink orders. We ordered two margaritas and of course she suggested to my friend the large without explaining that was 32 oz. And I said I would like some water. She brought the margaritas I wanted salt there were five or six flex of salt and that's it. Then she came back to take her order again I asked for water she said I'm busy I said yeah I would have thought with customers of which I am. So she goes and gets one glass of water just for me and slams it on the table. And I said there's no salt on this margarita she points to those three or four little flecks of salt and I said You know what I think we're done. And my friend and I got up and she goes well aren't you going to pay for those margaritas I said they want made correctly and we didn't drink them so no. And she goes well what do you want and I said to be rid of you. And we turned around and walked out. Out of the entire interaction the I'm busy. I thought I was a customer we decided we were not. Go there at your own risk.

Very bad service, really, no service. BLAND food and a tough pepper in the Chili and egg thing. Three tacos plate....BLAND and they charge you for extra salsa....meal is fifty bucks plus and they charge you for the salsa. Two stars because only one waitress and I think the owner wandering around.

Vagabond Station is a stylish burger joint located in Anacortes, offering a modern space with a black and white checked floor. Known for its chicken and waffles, as well as Patty Wagon sandwiches, it has garnered rave reviews both online and offline. Customers recommend it as the best place to enjoy warm bites and beer. The menu features incredibly tender chicken tenders, generously portioned chicken wings in wing sauce, and garlic parmesan fries that are heavily seasoned with garlic.
I’ve sadly been passing my Vagabond Station for the last few weeks of being here. What a travesty. Vagabond Station has delicious, hearty, fun and creative menu. From the appetizer of their spin on chicken and waffles to that huge burger I sincerely tried to finish, was all amazing. Even the Arnold Palmer was mixed perfectly. The chicken is absolutely cooked on point! The chicken was juiced and tender with mountains of flavor. The burger had chicken as well, same as above. The burger was well made and the combo of toppings was simple and served the burger flavors well. I’ve been back twice , definitely not a one time great experience. Both times have been fantastic. Service has been on point each time.

First time here. We are visiting from out of town and staying in an hotel. Energy is upbeat. Staff super friendly but doesn’t pay attention. As I was ordering, our waitress was looking around which is fine I’m all for multitasking if you can actually multitask. She got my order semi wrong. I ordered a side salad and asked to have fries with my sandwich. I got a sandwich and salad in the box even though I paid for a side salad on top of sandwich and fries! The kids chicken strips were burnt. And fries tasted like they were sitting for a while stale and limp ( I tried my kids fries after they said no thank you mommy their gross). When I asked twice and reminded our waitress about cutlery and sauces etc she was reacting like I know what I’m doing and repeated “I got you”. So I felt cool again she must be a multitasker, she’s got me! NOPE!!! She didn’t! The sandwich was tasty. The salad kind of because there was No dressing not to forget to mention no utensils, no napkins, no condiments. I personally won’t be back and won’t recommend anyone else there. It’s pricey and only 1/4 of what was ordered was ok.

My daughter and I visiting Anacortes today and decided on this spot and are super glad we did. With such a choice on the menu to please most people we had fun deciding what to eat. The food was delicious and you could taste the freshness. My cucumber drink was crisp and very refreshing. Able to find the poutine fries, yum! Our waitress was very friendly and nice. The restaurant was clean and even has an area in the back with video games if you bring kids. My next time going through town from the ferry With Friends I am going to introduce them to this place for sure. The Prices are extremely fair for the fresh quality food you get. For choices from thinly sliced ribeye burgers to deep fried chicken breast sandwiches. Choose This Place! Don't forget to look up on the ceiling for all of the dollar bills people leave behind.

A good place to stop for a warm bite and a beer. The chicken tenders were incredibly tender and generous in portion. The chicken wings were actually tenders in wing sauce. The garlic parmesan fries were heavily garlic and barely any parmesan. The food came quickly and the servers were attentive even though they claimed to be short staffed.

Best food ever 😋 Mac n cheese never fails to satisfy amazingly awesome. Great drinks also. Love Vagabond Station and the staff. Soooo happy your back to open for lunch 7 days a week. Great service every time even with new staff. Lunch was great today watching the game and playing pinball. 😋 😀

I enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food. They have pinball, pool, air hockey table and some other games for the kids (or adults) in the back. The service was nice and the food came quick. Wasn't so much impressed with the fried chicken, more of breaded, but all together it's quite filling. The biscuit was on par. Moderate prices, not too spendy for the amount.
Zachery A — Google review
Very good service. The food is wonderful. Boneless chicken wings is the best I've had in the state of Washington!!. Fries are horrible!!! Let me repeat that..... FRIES ARE HORRIBLE!!! OWNERS HAVE GOT TO COME UP WITH A BETTER FRY OR A BETTER WAY TO COOK THEM. FRIES COME OUT LIKE CHIPS NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO.
Jocelyn M — Google review
An honest review happens after an honest gorging of the food and yeah, honestly speaking this place is super delicious. It was the chicken sign that attracted us there and it did not disappoint. The chicken is juicy and the breading is light, crunchy and just the right touch of flavor.

Blackbird Wine Bar and Charcuterie in Anacortes, WA is a perfect spot for an intimate gathering with friends or a romantic date night. The cozy atmosphere and unique decor create a delightful setting to explore their curated selection of global wines paired with thoughtfully crafted charcuterie plates. The owner, Brian, is known for his warm welcome and extensive knowledge of wine, making every visit feel like a home away from home.
I was surprised and delighted to find a place like Blackbird Wine Bar and Charcuterie and it's my favorite happy hour in Anacortes. The first thing you'll notice walking in is the design. It's classy, edgy, and hip, but still comfortable, and quiet enough to meet friends and have a conversation (that you can actually hear). The second thing you'll notice is the warm and friendly customer service. Brian is a gem! And he knows his cheese, which brings me to the third thing you'll notice, delicious charcuterie with various meats, cheeses, and accoutrements, which I leave off the tray because I'm weird and don't like my food to touch each other :-)
Bill S — Google review
Oh my stars! I was in town for work and happened upon this lovely little charcuterie spot serving just what I was looking for: a chilled glass of white wine. What I didn’t expect was the exceptional culinary experience accompanied by the most wonderful conversation with the owner. I fell in love with the crunchy, perfectly herbaceous crackers and found out that they are handmade locally. What?! Of course they are. If you want to sit on a comfy couch or upholstered chair and have good conversations, this is your spot. Have a meeting with colleagues, dish with girlfriends, get to know your date; Highly recommend!! I will be back. I can’t stop thinking about the perfect nibbles. Open one in Oregon City, Oregon, please!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Blackbird wine bar in Anacortes, WA. Let me tell you, it was an experience I will not forget. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The interior was delightful and inspiring. Incorporating unique decor into a cozy atmosphere. But it wasn't just the ambiance that impressed me. It was the owner's hands-on approach and extensive knowledge that truly made this place stand out. We were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. The owner's engaging conversation kept us entertained throughout the entire evening. The charcuterie board was the stuff of dreams. It boasted an impressive mix of in-house creations and local goodies from A-Town Bistro. I tell you, every morsel was bursting with flavor and had me wanting to order more and more. It was an experience not to be missed. And the wine! Oh, the wine. It was fantastic, to say the least. We opted for a small charcuterie board to share between the two of us, and it was the perfect accompaniment to the delicious wines we were enjoying. Speaking of the bar, I highly recommend sitting there when you visit Blackbird. It's where the action is. Engage with the delightful staff. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. In conclusion, if you're looking for an incredibly unique experience with friendly service, look no further than Blackbird Wine Bar. I can't recommend this place enough, and I can't wait to go back myself. Bravo!

He also went out of his way to reunite me with my headphones that fell out of my bag. I would definitely recommend this wine bar and can't wait to go back next time I am in Anacortes.

While wandering down Commercial Avenue in Anacortes, I encountered the Blackbird Wine Bar and Charcuterie. With the tables in the outside dining area occupied, I chose to step inside and see what the new-to-me Wine Bar was all about. Comfortable couches and chairs were arranged in small conversational group settings, with customers sipping wine and noshing on cheeses and meat charcuterie. I explored further into the room and found the owner behind a bar with several empty tall stools. I was cordially greeted and asked what I would like. His wine and cider list did not have the usual fare. I said I would like a cider, but do not recognize these brands. What would you suggest? He reached into his cooler and produced a chilled glass and a delightfully tasting hard cider, which quenched my thirst. Between his need to serve his guests, he shared his ideas about the wine and ciders he selects. They must be regional, produced using sustainable and biodynamic methods. The questions and answers were shared. I found a kindred wine enthusiast. If you like to explore quality wines and are in Anacortes, Stop by the Blackbird Wine Bar. It is an adventure worth exploring.

Swinomish Sports Bar & Grill stands out as the flagship dining spot of the Swinomish Casino and Lodge, offering a vibrant sports-themed atmosphere that perfectly complements its hearty American cuisine. Guests can indulge in a diverse menu featuring everything from gourmet personal pizzas to comforting barbecue platters like pulled pork and pecan-smoked baby-back ribs. The creative offerings extend to unique burgers and sandwiches, including options like pork belly banh mis and brisket Philly cheesesteaks.
Never tried Poutine before and I'm very glad this was my first experience. Cheese curds and fries were crispy and the gravy was delicious. Grilled salmon is a must if you're looking for something lighter. I usually hate carrots and most chefs don't cook sugar snaps very well. I finished both veggies, they were fantastic. My husband enjoyed the Cobb as well. The staff helps each other out and are very friendly to customers. I would recommend this restaurant over the Cafe in the Casino. And I would definitely return for the Poutine.

Feb 13/24 (a New Year), still nothing from management...wow! (I know, give it up already. It just seems so WRONG for an establishment to function in this way.) Dec. 19/23 - Originally, I gave this bar a THREE STAR REVIEW, now with the fact that management (see below) requested that I contact them directly to discuss the blatant undo care and attention to HEALTH STANDARDS that we experienced (which I did immediately) and have heard NOTHING in return which tells me it was just "lip service", my respect for the entire operation reflects my newly updated review, that being ONE STAR (Verity S., still being the ONLY guiding light at this place.) Original review (Dec. 10/23: We were well taken care of by Verity S., she seems to be taking care of everyone in the bar/betting area :-) The food was also very good. UNFORTUNATELY, I should not have paid attention to some of the wait staff @ the bar. They seem to all use the same procedure when it comes to clearing tables and then immediately dolling out garnishes for the bar drinks. Upon cleaning out numerous dirty glasses, grabbing used straws, dirty cutlery, napkins etc. from numerous patrons from different tables (no gloves anywhere in sight), they then grab with their bare hands (without any sort of hand washing in between) lemon, limes, maraschino cherries etc. to garnish drinks for some oblivious & unfortunate guest! Why the BARTENDER doesn't complete this task is beyond me.......Seems a bit of a health hazard to me, but then what do I know????

Have you ever been Wowed? I remember in sales training that the company always pushed the WOW experience.. Well I have to say I had a Wow experience last night at Swinomish Sports Bar & grill. My sweetie want to go out so we went to Swinomish he said what about 13 moons, we were looking for a good steak, and they have a great Ribeye. This evening I personally wasn’t looking for steak, but after looking over the Sports bar menu, I decided I was going to be good and not have A burger & fries, chicken wings but just have the Ribeye as well as my sweetie. I like mine rare, my sweetie likes his medium well, it was taking a minute because of how my sweetie likes his, so I was getting worried mine wasn’t going to be good or cold. But they were amazing both our Ribeyes were personally cooked to perfection. Now let’s talk about our server Helen she was the best part of our dinning experience, her attention to detail her bright smile her beautiful disposition. I don’t even know this woman, but she help create a space like home we felt comfortable, welcomed. I felt blessed to have had such great service. The Ribeye dinner ran us $29 each it came with garlic mashed potatoes, snow-peas, and carrots. We ordered a dinner salad to start. The dinner was fully worth every penny. I even recommended four of my clients who came by the house to dine there this evening and they said they were going to go. Great service is worth more then most servers understand but Helen understands great service because she offers it in a manner that appears effortless. Helen, thanks for a great dining experience. 🙏

Just had the unfortunate experience of dining at this restaurant, and let me tell you, it was an absolute nightmare. From the moment I walked in, I could sense that this place was going to be a disappointment. The atmosphere was lackluster at best, with no effort put into creating a welcoming or enjoyable environment. While I must admit that the servers were pleasant enough, their friendliness couldn't make up for the abysmal quality of the food. The portions were laughably small and left me feeling unsatisfied and hungry for more. It's as if they were trying to save money by serving doll-sized portions on gargantuan plates to create an illusion of generosity. Well, let me tell you, it didn't fool anyone. To add insult to injury, the prices at Swinomish Sports were exorbitant! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the bill. For such minuscule portions and mediocre quality, they had the audacity to charge an arm and a leg. It felt like highway robbery! I would have expected gourmet cuisine at these prices, but instead, all I got was disappointment and an empty wallet. Save yourself the agony and avoid Swinomish Sports at all costs. There are countless other restaurants out there that offer better food, larger portions, and more reasonable prices. Don't waste your time or money on this establishment that clearly doesn't care about providing a satisfying dining experience. Trust me when I say that you'll leave feeling hungry, ripped off, and regretful for even stepping foot in this sorry excuse for a restaurant.
