My husband and I had dinner here with my in-laws last night. We originally went upstairs to the bar area, and almost decided against staying. It was loud and the temp was pretty hot. The hostess mentioned that there was also seating downstairs. We were so glad we decided to go downstairs. The dining room was so spacious and cool. It was such a cool atmosphere. The service was great, too! Now to the best part. The food. Oh my goodness!! I don’t think any review can do justice for the food we had. We started with the Crawfish Dip appetizer, which came with homemade pita tortilla chips. It was amazing! Then our main dishes showed up and, Y’ALL!!!! The food was out of this world! My husband and mother-in-law ordered the Seafood Platter. It was the freshest seafood, with the lightest batter. Crawfish, oysters, mahi, crab puppies (literally mini crab cake balls) and fries. It was incredible. My father-in-law ordered the Muffaletta Sandwich with roasted sweet potatoes. Those sweet potatoes were chef’s kiss 🤌🏻😘 I ordered the Crab Cakes & Shrimp. It was the most delicious meal I’ve ever eaten. Two huge crab cakes topped with grilled shrimp, served over top a bed of Bourbon Street rice, blended with colored bell peppers, mushrooms, and spinach sautéed in homemade Alfredo sauce. I can’t even describe the flavor profile. My tongue was in euphoria! Bourbon Street Grille is a MUST TRY when you visit Dahlonega. The prices were fair, the portion sizes were large, and the atmosphere was great.

There are lots of good places to eat in Dahlonega. I've eaten at many of them. This place is a little better than average. Here are some pros and cons. Pros: 1. The service is decent. She forgot to put in our beignet order, but I get it that she was busy. All and all... it's a little better than average service. 🍽️ 💚 2. It's a really nice atmosphere. There are lots of windows and outdoor seating. The building itself looks like an old Victorian style home. (no booths though) 🏡 ✨ 3. The cornbread muffins are the best you'll ever taste! 😋 Cons: 1. Everything is super spicy - even the shrimp and grits, which our server told us was the least spicy entree. If you like the heat, you'll love it. 🔥 2. It's overpriced in my opinion. My mom and I had lunch there, and it was $60 which seemed too high for what we got. 🤑 3. The menus were dirty. 🤢 (that always skeeves me out) They weren't terrible dirty, but dirty enough to make you go wash your hands after ordering. Since there are so many good places to eat in and around the Dahlonega Square, we probably won't go back here. It's too spicy for us. With that said, if you like spicy food, you should give it a go! You'll probably love it. 🔥😋

Just ate lunch on their balcony. What a treat! Such nice ambiance with the old building, plants and trees. I had the Dirty Shrimp that was delicious! Our server, Anne, was super sweet. Very pleasant place for a relaxed enjoyable meal. Prices were decent too! Will definitely try to come back if we are ever in the area.

Excellent lunch with a large variety of food options. I had the Bourbon club sandwich and my wife had the special of the day which was a fried chicken sandwich with cheese and a house made apple jelly topping which was excellent. Place can be loud but the food was excellent.

The food was amazing and service was equally as good, probably a good thing that I don't live close by, I would be here at least a couple times a week. The only drawbacks are that it isn't very vegetarian friendly and it is upstairs so also not a place for anyone with physical challenges so if you have those situations, check it out ahead of time.

WOW! This was some real-deal, delicious New Orleans fare. The portion sizes you get, and for their prices?!! An astronomically good deal. Not only do they not skimp on their portion sizes, the quality of their seafood is superior; the mahi and shrimp were so, so fresh, and both were cooked to perfection—an absolute delight to eat. Not to mention they have the sweetest staff and truly make you feel welcomed. ❤️ Highly, highly recommended! (Also, a very special shoutout to their use of compostable take-out boxes; the Earth appreciates you!)

Great Atmosphere & Delicious Food! We enjoyed a wonderful meal here with beautiful outdoor seating by the fire. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting — perfect for a fall evening. We ordered the Shepherd’s Pie and Bangers and Mash, both full of rich flavor and comfort. The mashed potatoes were creamy and topped with melted cheese, and the toasted bread on the side was buttery and crisp — perfect for dipping. The sausages were cooked perfectly and paired nicely with the onions, peppers, and mustard sauce. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a warm, hearty meal and a relaxing dining experience.

Stopped in to try something new as I was making it up to Helen (like literally everyone else) and this was the restaurant that caught my eye. I had no wait and the staff was awesome, personally no complaints on that end. I ordered the honey lemon pepper chicken sandwich bc I wanted to try something new and well, it’s aight. The chicken was tender and it overall tasted good, but not my forte. The bun was fall apart soggy bc of all the honey. They’ve got tons of options so you won’t have a problem finding something.

Came for dinner on on Thursday during a trip. Sat on the inside patio. It was hot. Windows with screens were open so the people waiting outside and smoking allowed the smoke to come in on top of us. Both got the Shepherd's Pie, which is cottage pie since it's made with beef mince instead of lamb. It was tasty and well seasoned. We got the linch portion and it was a good size. Our server, Kennedy, was very nice. Wish we could have sat inside with the AC, but oh well.

First time there with my awesome friend and my awesome husky Otto. The place did not disappoint. The staff and other customers and their dogs were awesome! The food/drinks and patio atmosphere was on point. Will definitely patronize this restaurant again!

The shrimp were seasoned to absolute perfection, and the fish & chips? My husband hasn’t stopped talking about them — he says they’re some of the BEST he’s ever had! 🙌🏾💯 The staff was warm, friendly, and made us feel right at home. 💖 If you haven’t visited Shenanigans yet, trust me… it’s well worth the drive! 🚗✨

Pet friendly. Got our dog a pup burger. She loved it. Got Guinness burger and Ruben. Both excellent.

If you’re visiting Dahlonega, and you like American/Irish food, this place should be at the top of your list. We brought our dog and ate outside. Our waiter was excellent. He was attentive, but not intrusive. The food was excellent. Will definitely consider going back again next time we’re in town.

My absolute favorite place ever!! As a local, trust me. They are the best. Great food, great service, amazing people. You can’t get any better than that. Off The Leash hotdog and tots are my favorite thing to get! The macaroni bites are to die for.

I think this place has taken ownership of the best burger Ive had. Not only was it cooked to perfection (medium rare for me). But it was also so delicious! This is what a burger should be like everytime you order one, Spirits Tavern set the standard for all other burgers going forward. I didnt try any of the drinks but definitely will next time. I also loved the atmosphere and I'm going to be honest....the bathroom was...amazing. I know is dumb to be talking about the bathroom but it was a nice clean bathroom. Okay no more about the bathroom but the whole place was amazing great service and wonderful food....and bathrooms! 10/10!

We came to visit during the Gold Rush Festival and the service was great, food delicious and we will definitely return. I loved the variety and the ability to create the sandwich with whatever protein I wanted with the options they had available. We tried the Augusta with chicken sandwich, the fried tomatoes were so good and fresh, the pineapple and ginger mocktail, and the beef burger with gouda, ohh and the tots were one of a kind. It was all wonderful. I also need to mention that they accommodated a group of 10 without a problem (just with a heads up call)

Service and food were great. The burgers are pretty huge. I thought I needed a double but probably would have been able to keep my self respect intact with a single. They have some really creative mouth watering burger combos. Oh and the fried kale brussels were incredible. Good craft beer selection

What a great place! We enjoyed the fried green beans served with horseradish sauce. The burgers were cooked perfectly, huge and delicious (mine was the dragon’s breath). Olivia, our server was delightful and attentive. Tater tots all the way!!

This place was amazing and I’m sad it’s 4 hours away. From the minute we walked in the door the host was very welcoming. He was so cheerful and sweet. Our server was nice and accommodating. The food was top notch. The burger was by far one of my favorites I’ve ever had. 100/10 highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

Great Dahlonega spot! Best fried greens tomato in town!! Call ahead and get your name on the list, there is often a wait. Service was great and all the burger combinations are so tasty... I actually got chicken and that was tender and flavorful!

The food was good, it wasn't amazing. My iced coffee was kind of flavorless and my hard fried egg tasted and looked more like a scrambled egg. The deviled eggs were more on the savory side, I like mine with relish, but it was flavorful and seasoned well. The fruit was a slice of watermelon, 3 apple slices and 2 pieces of oranges for nearly $6, that was highly disappointing. My daughter said her sausage gravy biscuits were good, they looked good and her strawberry smoothie. The cookies were good. The inside was very small with a handful of big tables. It was pretty loud and busy. The service was fantastic, I'd go back just for the service.

I went to Picnic Cafe for lunch during the Bear on the Square festival this past Saturday. Even on such a busy day, the staff was so friendly, the food was prepared quickly, and everything was delicious! One of the servers, Emilie, told me about a special for their desserts that I could not pass up. Ending up getting a cookie and icecream to go with my chili. Absolutely delicious! 10/10 recommend

This place is so CUTE and DELICIOUS! A Southern Egg Salad on a croissant, a half sandwich of Pimento Cheese BLT on sourdough and a Boars Head Roasted Turkey Sandwich on cracked wheat bread was ordered. The egg salad had Gala apples and it works. The subtle sweetness and crunch was something I never knew I needed in egg salad. The Pimento Cheese in the BLT is a homemade recipe. We have had pimento cheese before and wasn’t the biggest fan, but this stuff was absolutely amazing. It was creamy, rich and a total flavor bomb. We will be thinking about this sandwich for a very long time. The Turkey Sandwich was huge and the bread was so soft and fresh. A cup of the white bean chili and tomato basil bisque was ordered as well. The white bean chili was flavored really well and had a nice little bite to it. The tomato basil bisque was creamy with nice size pieces of tomatoes and the basil flavor was very pronounced. If you are EVER in this area, this is a must go to place for a bite to eat. Had a wonderful lunch at Picnic Cafe a few weekends ago! It’s super cute inside and everything we ordered was delicious. I had the pimento BLT, which was divine, with a cup of Brunswick Stew, which was decent. The potato salad was BANGING. Both of my dining partners also enjoyed their food as well, would go back and recommend.

This is an adorable little spot to cop a squat if you've got the munchies. I definitely recommend it if you're in the Dahlonega Square. I'm going to list a few pros and cons to make your decision easier. 😋💕💚 PROS: 1. They live up to their name and have a ton of desserts (cakes) to choose from. If you have a sweet tooth, this is your place! 2. They open early and serve breakfast, which is a nice treat if you're in the Square at that time. 3. The people who work there are super nice. I asked them to explain the different cakes (there were a couple exotic ones), etc. They were very happy to do that. 4. The Brunswick stew and cornbread are realllly good! The cornbread has little pieces of corn kernels in it. Yummm!!! 🌽😋 5. They have a nice, clean bathroom. To me, the way a place maintains their bathroom gives you a peek into how they maintain the back of the restaurant (where you can't see). CONS: 1. It's small inside so the best option is to get one of the 3 little tables outside. In order to do that, you have to get there before 10:30am. If you can snag one of those tables, it's really nice (perfect for people-watching). 👀 Before we got up to leave, there were a few people loitering around us waiting for our table. 😂 Those outdoor tables are in high demand on pretty days! 2. Once it gets busy inside, the servers kinda forget about the people outside. That was no problem for us. I just got off my butt and walked inside. Some people might not like that though. 3. As always (this is just a general "con") --- parking in the square can be a challenge. Just get there early. If you want to stop by this place on a whim at lunchtime, you will likely have to park far away and walk. My picture is of the "BBQ Plate." It didn't look like I expected, but it was very tasty! See the little container? I don't know what that was. I wasn't brave enough to try it. Maybe pickles or peppers? Even without that, it was delish! 😋💕💚

Great little cafe on the square downtown! Breakfast and lunch options all day, with a vast array of delicious desserts! Great service, we’ll be back for sure!!

Good food and service. This place is always packed. We had lunch but many people were coming in for desserts. We did not have a dessert however, they did look delicious. The sitting area is extremely small but they do have outside seating, too. If you prefer a heated sandwich, you’ll need to make that request.

The kitchen sink pizza was pretty good, all other pizzas that we ordered were decent but were incredibly burnt on the bottom… Service was great though.

We were in the area for a bachelorette trip and wanted a quick bite after driving to town. Gustavo’s was right there and we decided to hit it. Dianna was so nice and made sure our order was good and that we were okay waiting, even offered us water, and her henchman Brady/Bradley showed up at the end as we were leaving and told us to add him to my review. He was cool I guess. Jk the vibes were so good and we bumped into the owner and he was super chill and bubbly in a manly way. We got the garlic knots and two large pizzas and they were so good. The pizzas were delicious and definitely fed 7 women. 10/10 recommend this pizza place. I’m sorry we don’t have photos, we ate everything too fast. The mints in the bowl are also really good, they’re the soft kind.

Conveniently located right in the downtown area with outside seating available. We ordered the pizza and it was reasonably priced and very tasty with fresh topping ingredients. The cocktails are priced within reason and well crafted. The service was very courteous, friendly and attentive . The only item of contention is they only have one restroom for the entire restaurant. During crowded times, it was ridiculous how many people were in line and how long you had to wait to use the restroom and/or wash your hands. They really need to try and fix this issue.

Pizza was phenomenal, owner was very nice 👍 they did not discriminate even though I got pineapple on my pizza, they have very bomb ranch and Cesar dressing

Stopped here for lunch and got a calzone and meatball sub. The wait time for food was pretty long. My calzone came out with the cheese still cold and it was not cooked. The server took it back and we ordered pizza instead because we did not want to wait to have another calzone be cooked if it took that long the first time and it wasn’t even cooked through. My fiancé had completely finished his meatball sub and been sitting for a while before the pizza came out. Pizza was decent, toppings were sparse. I have had better. Server was sweet and my partners meatball sub was good but I’m not sure if $17 was appropriate for the portion. He asked for another order but they were out apparently. They did cover the cost of the pizza but we will pass next time we are in Dahlonega and go somewhere else.

AMAZING! Chef Rene has a great love of food and puts his heart into the design and execution of the menu. STOP BY AND YOU WILL LOVE THIS FOOD! I had some free time on the Sunday of Dahlonega's Gold Rush Festival, so I wandered around looking for dinner. Most of the Festival Food Booths seemed expensive for the food offered ($20+) and many restaurants had Festival Menus with similarly priced menus. I walked into Gustavo's Pizzeria (name on building) and had no special expectations. It looked like an average pizzeria with other Italian options. The Italian Sausage sandwich with Peppers and Onions appealed to me. It was priced $15 and came with Chips or a Pasta Salad. Before my food arrived, my phone rang and I had to leave quickly for an urgent task. This Sit Down order was changed to a Take Away order and I left. 2 hours later, I was home and finally ate the dinner without reheating it. THIS MEAL WAS PHENOMENAL! Mind you, the sandwich was cold and had sat in my car for 2 hours. The quality of the Italian Sausage was excellent. (I'm originally from Chicago and am no stranger to exceptional Italian Sauage.) The Pasta Salad was very tangy. It had a strong flavor of olives and other spices to it. This meal was such an unexpected treat! The next weekend, I returned to Dahlonega and brought my 85 year old father with to try this same menu item hot. The meal did not disappoint and I spoke in person with the Head Chef Rene. This is a man whose love and care for food is apparent by how he talks about the menu. Chef Rene said he is looking for a smaller bread to serve the Sausage on, so that the Sausage/Bread balance is proportional. He also is changing the menu to add more traditional Italian items to the menu. I look forward to my next visit to Guatavo's so that I can explore each item on the Menu. Mozzarella Logs (not Sticks) jumped out at me, as does the French Dip Sandwich. I haven't even had a chance to try the Pizza yet! My Sister-In-Law opened a stall at a nearby Antique Mall, so I will have many opportunities to work my way through their menu. DON'T MISS THIS LOCAL GEM OF A RESTAURANT! It's right across from the Gold Museum/Historic Lumpkin County Courthouse at the center of town. Boom...YUMMY!

Just what I needed after a long weekend. Delicious pizza and garlic rolls although the rolls could have used more garlic buttery flavor they are still good. The pizza was good too, on the thinner side of that's what you like. Decently priced. The place was chill and the staff was friendly.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience because it genuinely ruined what was supposed to be a special occasion. This is usually my favorite spot to eat, so I was really disappointed. My waiter was shockingly unprofessional and downright rude throughout my visit. He shoved plates at me instead of serving them properly — not just once, but multiple times. At first, I tried to be understanding since he seemed to be the only server working, but I couldn’t help but notice that he was perfectly pleasant and attentive to other tables. It really felt like I was singled out and treated disrespectfully for no reason. This was supposed to be a nice birthday celebration, but instead, I left feeling upset and embarrassed. I would not recommend this place based on how I was treated, and I hope management takes steps to ensure no one else has their special day ruined like this.

Did not try the food. Service was good however one of the bouncers was very racist and disrespectful. Tall red head guy. He started pointing out one of my friends while standing behind her; and was telling others that she was the one he was going to make sexual advances on. He was highly in appropriate with the things he said to us and made us feel so unsafe that we left.

I’ve been in there a few times. The place smells like stale beer, cigarette butts, and a toilet. The part tender that night whose name I will not mention, but she’s blackhead and probably about late 30s early 40s. She is arrogant, rude, condescending, and I’ll never go back into that bar again just because of that woman. I went in there with a couple of my buddies because they hang out there and this woman was just almost like sparring with me and all I was trying to do is have a drink and some pizza. Bye-bye Johnny B’s I’ll never step foot in there again.

Maddie (bartender) was exceptional. It can be overwhelming for some with bigger crowds, and she made me feel at ease. Also, she is super adorable. What a great hire!

Good local restaurant. If you want a packed bar scene, come Thurs-Sat night. Their wings are fantastic on non-special days but I’ve had bad experiences with the wings being tiny on the days they have their special (Tues & Sat). Plenty of tv’s. When the bar is packed it’s mostly college students. Other times it’s an even mix between locals and students. Screened in porch seating and outdoor porch seating is available. Indoor seating available near the bar and a separate room.

I had the pleasure of visiting Johnny B's during my three-day stay in Dahlonega, and it quickly became my go-to spot each night. One of the things that stood out to me was their extended hours, as most places in downtown Dahlonega closed early. The first night I was there, I had the pleasure of meeting Casey, one of the bartenders. Casey provided excellent service and created a lively and fun atmosphere. I highly recommend trying their watermelon cocktail, "Stone Cold Casey," as it was absolutely delicious. During my second night, I had the pleasure of meeting Josie, another fantastic bartender. Josie not only served yummy drinks but also introduced me to their garlic Parmigiano tater tots. Let me tell you, these tots were mind-blowingly delicious! The combination of garlic and Parmigiano was perfection. On my final night, I was fortunate to have both Casey and Josie serving. There was a live band playing, adding to the already vibrant atmosphere. It was the perfect opportunity for me to try their pizza, and I opted for the Hawaiian pizza with pineapple, bacon, and ham on a thin crust. I must say, it was another mind-blowing experience. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the thin crust added a nice crunch. Overall, my experience at Johnny B's was outstanding. The friendly and attentive staff, delicious drinks, and award-winning food make it a must-visit spot in Dahlonega. Whether you're looking for a fun night out or a satisfying meal, Johnny B's has it all.

Coffee Shop No. 474 Canopy + the Roots Coffee Dalhonega, GA March 10, 2025 Canopy + the Roots Coffee gave me the impression that community is their focus. It looks like a typical coffee shop with bright natural light, plants in the window (which I think were fake), and fantastic coffee. When you start to explore a bit you learn the shop has so much more to offer like yoga classes, live music, comedy shows, and merchandise from local artists. The barista was sweet too. University of North Georgia is right around the corner so I imagine Canopy + Roots Coffee is a second home to many of them. The cortado was placed in ceramic cup with no handles; kinda like a bowl. It cradled perfectly in my hand. It was served a little on the cool side, but it was my favorite cortado in Dahlonega. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

Visiting from Florida and cannot say enough great things about Dylan and Diane! They were awesome! I got a blueberry basil cold brew and it was delicious, the employees were telling me about the area and even giving me recommendations which I appreciated. If you’re in the area I recommend stopping by, you won’t regret it! Also the ambience is very welcoming and cozy, nice little place to relax.

We went to Canopy + the Roots Coffee and just fell in love with the place. Such a great setting and the coffee was great. We never had coffee before with oat milk but I will tell you that it was great. The peanut butter latte hot is a must.

I really love this place! It's a nice place to get coffee or tea. And it's a great place to go to see live performances downstairs without traveling a long ways away. I've been to 3 and had a good time every time. The place is attractively decorated.

Maybe we got them on a bad day, but the staff was pretty cold towards us. Sadly, the quality of the coffee didn’t make up for the poor service. After buying two coffee drinks we asked for a glass or cup for water, which we were refused. We were told we had to buy a bottle. It’s pretty bad when you have to pay extra for water at a place that clearly has a working sink and can provide tap water. A little bit of warm service would go a long way.

I was surprised to discover a new coffee shop had opened up right under my nose when I wasn’t paying attention. This is comfortable, well-decorated place with great energy, attractive furnishings, and friendly staff. There is an adjacent yoga studio next to the upstairs coffee space and a music listening room in the basement. I even noticed that one of my favorite musicians has been booked to perform there this weekend- bonus! The coffee is good and the snacks are tasty. The idea of opening a place like this must have been a good one, because there was already a great crowd of happy-looking enthusiastic customers, including students and locals. This is already looking like an excellent addition to the neighborhood and I’m expecting success for this worthwhile venture. Check it out.

A nice cozy place with a decent selection of teas and coffee. The staff is very friendly.

Quaint little spot for lunch. We started with cheese curds for appetizer. Yum!My husband got the cod sandwich. Said it was good, yet nothing stood out. He got the seasoned sweet potato fries. Seasoned sweetly. I got the grilled cheese. Suffice it to say I was very surprised when it was placed in front of me. It was presented vertically because the cheese was also fried on the outside of the bread. While it was an interesting presentation, I found it difficult to eat. I ended up using a knife and fork and it was still difficult. Tasted good, but I wouldn't order again as I'm the type of person that doesn't like to work at eating their food. I would go back to dine there, but just get something different.

Best chicken fried steak I ever did have! Not drowned in gravy, just the right amount. They even made my over hard eggs perfect, whenever I ask for this I still get a runny egg but not at the Crimson Moon.

The Crimson Moon 🌙 used to be my friends hangout for poetry readings & music! They have a small stage and we're getting ready for live entertainment Saturday night! I had the spinach artichoke dip with chips that was delicious and my friend had an incredible grilled cheese that was finished off with a CHEESE casing on the outside! The salad was also good and mostly eaten before I remembered to take the pic!

Chicken and dumpling soup is phenomenal. Pickle Fries also very tasty. Meatloaf sandwich nothing to write home about. Exceptionally slow service. 15 minute wait for check. Food delivery was also very slow. Restaurant was almost empty....

The food here is very unique and tasty. The servers are friendly, but based on staffing always seem overwhelmed and your table can go unattended. They have live music but you have to buy tickets for that. The do not offer military discount.

The food was great. Everyone in our party seemed to like their food. I had the Philly Steak and Cheese, and it was delicious. The service was great.

We discovered this gem a couple of weeks ago. One of our favorite places now!!! Every dish has been cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. We especially love the mixed berry cobbler. It is light. You can really taste the fruit. We just drove all the way from Ellijay just for the cobbler last night (didn't take a pic). Servers have all been amazing, especially Elliot. She was awesome last night! Can't wait to go back again!

We read that the brunch here was a must and we are so glad we came! The French toast was incredible and the gravy biscuits were great! We were seated right away and the food was quick! Very casual atmosphere and awesome service. We will be back!

Prime Rib Wednesday lived up to its name. Our servings were remarkably lean for Prime Rib but the next table had fattier servings. The meat was preceded by a Caesar salad with generous cheese shavings and croutons and accompanied by a jacket potato (I had mine "loaded"). The main meal was $29 which was good value, and we followed it with a light and delicious Lemoncello cake (sponge).

Best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had. Seriously. Chicken salad sliders are awesome. Flavor changes regularly so ask what the current flavor is. Asian Mandarin was great. Sydney was a great attendant. Great service, enjoyable experience. Highly recommend.

This place was amazing! We went here for brunch and loved every dish! Steak & eggs, pancakes with bacon and the shrimp & grits were the best we ever had! Atmosphere was homey and the service was great. We’ll definitely be back!

This place is awesome. Great food! Our server Sidney was amazing. Very pleasant and super friendly. 5 star service and food. Very economically priced. You just can’t go wrong here!! I had the catfish diner this time and my wife had the salmon piccata. Both amazing. The first time we came I had the Rueben sandwich, the best I’ve ever eaten and she had the salmon. Very happy and love this place. We finished off this meal with peach cobbler and ice cream. And you guessed it….. amazing as well!!

Each time we visit our daughter at UNG we have to stop here to eat! We HAVE tooooo!!! I always get the Gyro with an extra Taz sauce! I have yet to find a wrap this good. It’s packed full with some serious lamb gyro meat! The best I’ve ever had! The Taz sauce is thick and soooo gooooood :). You can dip your fries in it too and throw the ketchup out the door! The fries are the lightly battered style, like Checkers has…they cook them perfectly and serve them fresh and hot. Plus, once you dip it into the Taz sauce it turns into GOLD! The staff here are usually nice college kids who actually are very energetic, polite, and they will tell you their menu faves! D town is a great place too. Come up for the weekend, enroll your kids at UNG (awesome college and campus!) and now you have an excuse to go trout fishing, visit d town, and get the BEST EVER GYRO at NIGHTHAWK TAVERN!

So glad we stopped in for lunch! First of all, service was top notch. Second, every single thing we had to drink and eat was incredible. We had the salsa and queso dip to start. Some of the best, freshest salsa I’ve had in a long time - it appeared they made it in house, but if not it sure fooled me! I had the fried avocado tacos on corn tortillas and added shrimp - delicious! My husband got Kevin’s sweet and spicy pizza and loved it. I had a piece and the crust was super crispy and the hot honey is such a great addition. We would easily make the 1.5 hour drive up to Dahlonega to eat here again sooner rather than later!

My mom and I have a goal to eat at every restaurant in the Dahlonega Square. Yesterday, we tried Nighthawk Tavern. I’m not a fan of greasy tavern food, but to my surprise, it wasn’t like that! I’m going to tell you a secret that only the locals know about regarding this place. 💛🌮 Try it, and I promise you, you’ll thank me. Here’s the story ~ The place two doors down from this restaurant is a pottery shop. The guy who owns it is a very eccentric, very nice, local celebrity type. He’s almost always sitting in the back of his shop molding a new pot or cup or whatever. It’s fun to watch. It always reminds me of that movie “Ghost” from 1990. 💗 Anywho, he walks down to Nighthawk Tavern all the time for lunch. They have something on the menu called “fried avocado tacos,” and he has them make those his own special way. He swears that they are to live for! We tried them yesterday, and he was right. They were freaking DELICIOUS! 😋 His custom tacos aren’t on the menu, so you have to order them special. Just ask them to slice fresh avocados, and don’t fry them. Just leave them on the tacos fresh, and keep all the other components of the taco the same. Or, to make it even easier, you can just tell them that you’d like to order the avocado tacos like the pottery guy orders them. 💗 They’ll know exactly what you mean (I guess a lot of people take his advice and order them that way). In my picture below, there are two baja shrimp tacos (also very good) and one avocado taco (the best!!!). The service was great also. The servers there are likely college students. 💛 This place gets a thumbs up from us. Thank you and we’ll definitely be back! 🌮🌮🌮

Absolutely outstanding place to eat and relax. The service is excellent and you can tell they genuinely care for the customer needs. The food is, simply put, divine. I had a simple salad and it was probably the best I’ve ever had from a restaurant. My husband had 3 steak tacos and he raved about them and the two sauces that came with them. My daughters shared chicken nachos and they were also excellent. The food came out in a timely manner with aesthetic appearance. Prices were spot on as well. We will definitely visit here every visit to Dahlonega.

Great place in downtown. Food was really good. Highlight is that they have original Mexican Coca-Cola in the glass bottle, it tasted just like Mexico. Southwester quesadilla was amazing and a really generous portion. They have kids menu if you ask for it. Great vibes. Waitress was very attentive. We got a table as soon as we walked in even on the lunch rush. Worth it give it a try. We will be going back.

Can’t beat this place. The Kevin’s sweet and spicy pizza is such a great menu item. The hot honey drizzle on top is to die for!!! I’ve been here multiple times and have never been disappointed. Five stars! Sarah and Leah and the best!

This was our first time ordering delivery from 7Pie and we have never eaten in. We had the Meat Lovers Pizza (We started eating before remembering to take a photo 😊). Preparation time was short. The pizza had a 15 minute journey but the crust maintained a pleasant crispness, I can only imagine how good it is straight out of the oven! The toppings were generous and well balanced, and the pizza was more than enough for the two of us (what you see is left over). The cookie skillet was yummy, semi cooked cookie dough oozing melted chocolate. Frankly, it was about half the size I expected at the price, but very rich which meant that one portion was definitely satisfying for two people. I am looking forward to visiting the restaurant.

Nice and cozy place to have a meal and watch football (or a program of your liking) the food is amazing! Tons of flavor and options. The staff is amazing and helpful. If you like burgers try the farmers burger, if you like pizza try the 7 Pie, if you like appetizers try the spinach dip and if you like chicken tenters they have the best I’ve ever had(fresh not frozen)

Terrible experience! We waited 45 minutes to get our appetizer. Then after being there over an hour, we finally received our pizza and the crust was burned. We could only eat the inside. We didn’t want to wait another hour so we ate the inside of the pizza. We will not be back!

Where do I even start???? I wasn’t expecting much honestly, but was pleasantly surprised. Hands down the best pizza I’ve had since leaving New England. The service was top notch, we were checked on multiple times during our visit. The atmosphere was just fun and a great place to enjoy some amazing food, while watching the game!!!! I love the area and will for sure be back. This place is going to be my first stop!!!

This place has not been that great but edible at least. The service is ALWAYS terrible. The management does not seem to care at all. We went in last night and it will be the final time we eat there. That sand looking crap is cornmeal. Our server never came over to check on us but the hostess said that was normal and then the manager came over and said yeah that was way to much. No apology, no let me take it off your bill, no let me make you a new one, just yeah that looks like to much. I would never suggest this place to anyone.

Service was terrible, took 15 minutes just to get my drink order. The pizza came out soggy and undercooked in the middle with the edges burnt. Ordered a salad and the server didn't even know what dressing they had. Everything about my dinning experience was slow and felt like I was ignored the entire time.

I played the course the third weekend of March. The fairways were still dormant but the greens were in excellent shape. A few of the tee boxes need some improvement but since its been a wet winter they may recover in the spring and summer. Its a great routing of holes with elevation changes, water hazards and challenging greens.

Achasta Grille is a wonderful place to host a special event. A huge shoutout to Mike Pyzner and his staff who consistently go above and beyond to ensure a great dining experience.

I played this course in late October 2014. The day started out a bit rainy, but cleared up to a beautiful sunny day. The golf course and staff were the best. They came to greet you and ask what they could do to make your experience great at their course. The golf course was in beautiful condition. The greens were fast and the course is challenging. It does not have a lot of elevation change considering it is located in the north Georgia mountains, but it still plays well. When I was there the foliage was at it's peak with wonderful maple reds, oak yellows, and orange colors from beach and hickory trees. The course is in a river valley between two high ridges that are dotted with beautiful homes. The Chestatee River runs back and forth through the course making for many challenging golf holes. the restaurant at the course turns out some pretty great food too. The pro shop and restaurant are very welcoming comfortable. I will be back often. Even though it is over and hour drive from my home.

Beautiful course! Long and tough. It runs along a river that you cross multiple times on many holes. Great range and friendly staff. Can be expensive on the weekends, but in my opinion it's worth it. Totally worth the drive from Atlanta.

When we got into town Saturday we were hoping to find a great local spot and Underground exceeded expectations, from an amazing band playing, great cocktails, delicious bar bites, to welcoming bartenders— 5 ⭐️!! I fell in love with the drink Coco kiss, surprisingly light and refreshing. We liked it so much we returned Sunday night so I could buy a T-shirt and of course more drinks. Our bartender, Isaiah, was welcoming and friendly with a mean upsell adding to our enjoyment 😂. Also the gold chocolate bars are a must have! If we ever have the chance we’ll be back!

My wife put together a surprise birthday brunch. We had 19 people. The staff handled the size of the party perfectly, the food was incredible and the atmosphere was inviting. It was our first time eating there and we decided to go back the following week for our date night. Great food, atmosphere, and service. You won't be disappointed. My wife and I highly recommend.

We’ve dined here many times and have tried nearly every street food option on the menu, each one has been absolutely incredible! I always regret not taking more pictures, but the food is so good I can never wait to dig in. The quality is consistently excellent, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. We truly love this place!

Needed some place to hang out and watch the array of NCAA football games last Saturday while in Dahlonega, ended up liking this place so much we went back Sunday afternoon for the pro games 😃 enjoyed the Birria Tacos and the Flatbread as well as the chicken wings (some sort of bourbon glazed, amazing yum 🤤). Service was great and fast, and amenities were clean. All in all a great place to go while visiting Dahlonega (I should have snagged more photos of the food).

We came back a second night because it was so good the first night. Our servers both nights were great. This was our favorite place in town.

Best wings I have every had. We stopped by to grab some food to go and had grabbed a cocktail while we waited. Got 2 orders of wings and drove 40 min to get home to eat. They had this wonderful crispy glaze that I've been craving since. My buddy got the ribs and said they were really good too. Has a cool atmosphere with the outside covered patio and the live musicians playing.

I’m still shocked that this place exists in this town and am so happy we found it! Fantastic food, great servers and bartenders, and top notch service! Their menu absolutely blew our minds. We’ll definitely be back when we visit Dahlonega again!

Danika is a fantastic server and was very helpful in guiding us on food choices. The ramen was fantastic, the chicken crunchy, and perfectly fried. The fried rice meal was uniquely flavored as well. I suggest washing it down with their Zen teas as we did. We will return.

First of all, the food was DELICIOUS. I got some ramen with chicken and it was some of the best stuff I’ve ever had. Service was amazing! Maddie was our waitress, and she was just great. Very attentive and friendly! Will definitely come back with more friends!

Very good service. Stopped in here due to the heavy out of nowhere rainstorm and was presently surprised. Not crowded at all, and the server was very attentive and patient. He was patient and explain how to customize food for vegans and was helpful in his recommendations and the food came out tasting good. Very attentive to all needs and drink refills. The yellow Japanese pickles were a nice authentic touch as they are hard to find. Prices very good too.

My mom and I were in the area for the weekend and decided last minute to do the escape room in early afternoon and walking ghost tour that night. The escape room was one of the hardest I’ve done, in a good way! The challenge was great and we had fun. The ghost tour was definitely more of a historic tour with some anecdotal experiences and stories mixed in, but that was perfectly fine with us. We’ve visited Dahlonega several times over the years and I heard a lot of things I’ve never heard before. But if you’re looking for a super spooky tour, this isn’t it.

I can’t recommend Dahlonega Walking Tours & Wine Tasting enough! It was the perfect mix of history, charm, and incredible wine. The wine was well chosen, the guide was fantastic, and it was such a fun way to experience the town. A must-do in Dahlonega!

We brought our kids (ages 5 & 9) to the kids ghost tour last weekend and they had an absolute blast! Mary Jane is an exceptional guide & story teller. We never wanted it to end. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone thinking about bringing their family. It was worth every penny.

I booked the children's ghost tour with my 12 year old daughter and my 4 year old son. We were the only ones there and I was a little worried my son would become bored but Mary Jane (our tour guide) was so sweet and fun! She is a great story teller and funny! I felt like it was more of a historical tour with some ghost stories mixed in, but both my kids, especially my daughter, stayed focused and interesting in all the stories we heard! She even got them a couple of treats from the Connie's ice cream shop and the chocolate store as well. We enjoyed this a lot! Definitely something to put on your to-do list when visiting Dahlonega! (Although I did this on a different occasion, I highly recommend the wine tasting here as well. They have the loveliest tasting room overlooking the Square and the wine was great!)

My 7yo son and I wanted to enjoy a little spooky fun on Friday evening, so I booked us the ghost walk tour. We arrived at the town square early and had dinner at Bourbon Street Grille (big yum btw!). Then it was on to the tour! When we got there, it turned out we were the only folks there for the tour that night. The guide was so nice and welcoming, and let us have a look around their very cool and spooky office area. My son, being 7, wasn’t too interested in the history part at the beginning, but the guide was totally prepared for this. She brought out some cool magnetic building shapes and let him play with those while she talked through the beginning portion of the town history with me in the office. After that we hit the street for the walking part of the tour. It was a pretty easy walk. We took a leisurely pace and stopped frequently at different locations to hear the history and ghost stories associated with them. Our guide was a wealth of information and was happy to answer any questions we had along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and learned about some of the other local attractions (the gold mines, gold museum) that we are definitely going to have to make another trip up here to visit. I loved the fact that the stories we heard on this tour were actual accounts of real experiences that people living and working in the town have had. So many ‘ghost tours’ just have mostly made-up or highly embellished stories purely to entertain thrill seekers. This was so much better. It is absolutely worth the drive to come check out this tour! I’ll be going again for sure, and bringing friends the next time!

Our Grapes & Ghosts tour was so fun! It was a great way to learn the history of Dahlonega, hear some paranormal stories, and taste local wines! Penny was a great story teller and host!

This was a fabulous (but cold) night tour!! Our tour guide took her time, even though there were only two of us, and shared so many stories of the area. She was very knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. We left feeling like we had made a new friend. I highly recommend this companies tours through the city!!

We were only in town for one night and came here for a glass of wine. We ended up staying for hours and buying a beautiful painting to have shipped home! The service, atmosphere, and wine were all fantastic. Super friendly staff that instantly made us feel welcome. Can’t wait to return next time we are in town!

OK ... we loved the friendliness of the staff and the artist that tried to convince me to buy a Georgia Bulldog painting. Wanted it, but shipping home to Reno ... $$ ... ugh! OMGoodness, I wanted that painting. They were sooooo fun and their personalities were so positive L O V E D them! Amanda was amazing, she is a sweetheart, don't change, you are fantastic. Wines were excellent! Need to make this a stop for certain.

What a great experience we had at Naturally Georgia this afternoon for our Anniversary . Amanda Holt is a wine genius. She was so knowledgeable about all of the wines that we tasted. If you want your wine showcased, this is the place to do it. 5/5 in atmosphere and customer service. Can’t wait to go back!

Always stop in Naturally Georgia whenever we are in Dahlonega. Its the best wine tasting room on the square.
