Cocktail bar
Step into the old-timey ambiance of Fat Cat, a laid-back watering hole that offers classic cocktails and regular live jazz music. This cozy spot near Place du Capitol takes you on a journey back to the 1920s with its warm and intimate setting. Sip on carefully crafted delicious cocktails while being serenaded by jazzy tunes.
This place is a must! As a solo female traveler I felt very welcome at this woman owned establishment! Cannot say enough good things about this bar other than it rivals the top spots in the world’s best bars! You must try the olive martini and anything else the bar team recommends. Don’t walk, Run here. Be mindlful that during summer hours they may be closed on Sunday.

This is a cocktail 🍸 bar. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the place has a cozy 🕯️ and inviting atmosphere, making it a great spot for a date 💑 The cocktails change regularly, keeping things interesting. I definitely suggest giving it a try! 🙋🏻‍♂️ ( I usually pay around 30 euros per night)

Great cocktails. Lovely staff and a dark but very nice interior. The cocktails are around 12e each and every week there are 6 new recipes. So not very cheap but very enjoyable. I definitely recommend the place.

Pont du Gard is a magnificent aqueduct bridge constructed by the Romans in the 1st century. It spans over three well-preserved arched tiers and stands as an impressive engineering marvel of the ancient world. Situated near Vers-Pont-du-Gard in southern France, this architectural wonder was built to supply water from distant springs to the city of Nimes, known as Nemausus in ancient times.
So great we went twice! Once to see the bridge and another to have a picnic by the water and take a quick bath. You don’t have to pay unless you wanted a guided tour. Just pay for the parking. Very nice place to visit in family.
Aayesha K — Google review
Roman aqueduct, crossing the Gard river. Spectacular and within a beautiful natural setting. Possibility to cross the bridge and enjoy beaches and several points of view. Plenty of easy trecks around the monument.
Barefoot C — Google review
Our visit to the Pont du Gard on October 8 was absolutely unforgettable. I went there with my friends and together we walked the peaceful paths leading down to the river, surrounded by the golden warmth of the southern French autumn. Before we even reached the bridge, we stumbled upon several strawberry trees— not real strawberries, but Arbutus unedo, also called the strawberry tree. Their fruit looked almost too bright to be real — tiny red, textured berries with a surprisingly sweet and tangy flavor. They turned out to be a wonderful surprise ,something unique and truly delicious. Then, turning a corner, the magnificent Roman aqueduct unfolded before us. The Pont du Gard rises from the landscape like a vision — three tiers of stone arches reflecting perfectly in the clear waters of the Gardon River.Nearly 2,000 years old, it served as part of an aqueduct that once carried water to ancient Nîmes. Even today, it feels alive with history — a triumph of precision and beauty. We spent the afternoon walking along the riverbank, taking in the symmetry, the soft rustle of leaves, and the warmth of the sun against the limestone. It’s the kind of place that makes you pause and breathe, reminding you how enduring human creation can be when shaped with purpose. In short:A day filled with history, nature, and quiet wonder — shared with good company and bright red strawberry tree fruit as an unexpected delight. Must-see rating:🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Visited:October 8 Highlights:Ancient Roman engineering, peaceful riverside walks, and the discovery of the strawberry tree fruit — sweet, wild, and unforgettable.

So much grander than I expected! An incredible feat of engineering from a time before electricity, gas, or diesel power! Thisbis monument to time, craftsmanship and ingenuity. Leave it to the Roman's to leave me impressed. A MUST SEE destination in France.
Latham W — Google review
The Pont du Gard is a towering three-tiered aqueduct bridge built by the Romans in the 1st century AD. Interesting facts we found out about the bridge: • It was built without mortar: the roughly 50,400 tonnes of limestone were cut and fitted so precisely that the blocks hold by gravity and friction alone. • The aqueduct channel that the bridge is part of drops only about 12.6 m over 50 km (~1 in 4,000 gradient) — extremely slight for such a long distance. • Many stonemasons left their marks on the stones: more than 320 “compagnon” marks have been found on the monument, some from as early as 1611. • Over its history the bridge served various roles: after its time as a water aqueduct it became a toll bridge, and later, in the 18th century, a road bridge was built alongside it. • It survived major floods in modern times (1958, 1998 and 2002) which tested its structure — impressive given its age. Getting there & timing: • Located near Vers-Pont-du-Gard in Occitanie, about 20 km from Nîmes. • The site opens around 09:00. Hours vary by season; check official site for current times. • Allow 1.5 to 3 hours, or a full day if you include walks, river time and the museum. What to do & best spots: • Walk across the lower level to appreciate the arches up close and the river beneath. • Visit the on-site museum: interactive exhibits, scale models, virtual reconstructions — good for history context. • Swim or relax by the river banks — the scenery and setting are excellent for a rest, especially in warmer months. • For photography: early morning or late afternoon gives good light through the arches and fewer crowds. Tips & practical advice: • Parking is paid and you should check whether parking closes at a certain time (especially after dark). • During high season it may be busier; consider visiting in shoulder season for a calmer experience. • Wear sturdy walking shoes if you plan any of the walking trails around the site. • If you want to access the third (top) level of the aqueduct bridge, this requires a guided tour — check availability in advance. • Bring swimwear/towel if you plan to enjoy the river; also sun protection.
Marina S — Google review
Le Pont du Gard is an icon from days gone by from the Roman era. It’s been on my bucket list for years to see. I like it because it represents the great engineering skills that people with little technology could use to build something that will stand through the ages. The site is well setup to handle tourists coming to look at the aquaduct, and the, later built, viaduct. Tourist offices are situated on each side of the river, and one of them has a museum/exposition/cinema/gift shop/ complex. And, walking tours are conducted to the bridge. A good visit. I arrived here on a bus shuttle from Avignon. I hear there is also a shuttle from Nimes, France. Recommended for those interested in area history, architecture, and Roman life.

Such a cute lake—perfect for family fun! The atmosphere is peaceful and great for a day out with the kids. It could definitely use more shade and seating, though. A little more comfort would make this spot absolutely perfect!
Selma B — Google review
Amazing view! Paid parking on site 9€ for a day and about 3-5mins. walk to Pont du Gard. It's a pebbled river so better bring swimming shoes. Very crowded on summer but it's fun and a lively place!

The Canal du Midi is a 240-kilometer waterway that stretches from Toulouse to the Etang de Thau, featuring 63 locks and 350 engineering structures. Travelers can enjoy tranquil journeys by cycling along the old towpaths or leisurely cruising on a barge, taking in the picturesque French landscapes of lush fields and charming villages.
Great route for cycling, Bordeaux to Narbonne ( jumps about a bit in places but not difficult to get back on track). Shady for much of the route and flat throughout, taking in beautiful towns and countryside.

Canal Du Midi from Toulouse to Narbonne. By bike September 2019 This is a great experience and very physical intensive.but a lot of joy and a good way to strengthen your body. The first step from Toulouse to Castelnaudary it's quiet relaxed and the path on the side of Canal du Midi make it easy to get along. But you always hear the high way where the cars making there own sound but still you feel happy peddling along the old Allees beside the water. The following route to Carcassonne needed more Intension for the path it was paved with little stones, occasionally some roots and wholes make it difficult to bike fast. The third part till Narbonne was even more difficult and because of some tree disease they had to cut almost all the old trees and planted new once but this couldn't give you an enjoyable feeling. The good part was that the high way was to fare away to hear. Nevertheless the people you meet on the Canal Du Midi in Bike, Hiking or on a Boot are always very friendly and all in all take as much time you can to be able to explore the villages on the Canal try the good food and the great wine they produce in the area and look out that you have always enough water with you.
Friedbert R — Google review
The quiet tree shaded bicycle path along the canal is a dream for cyclists.
Seimen B — Google review
Picturesque, slow pace, towns adjoining, a very French experience. We enjoyed our stay, 10 days was too brief even with two days before and after in central Toulouse, 14 total.
Jim H — Google review
I preferred the section away from the road. The staircase lock we passed was interesting. The locks are big as the vessels passing through are also a fair size. The canal is perhaps a little over 10m wide.
Gary K — Google review
I expected some slightly better surfaces. Most of it was quite poor, with potholes, rough large gravels and tree roots. It's also badly signposted in places. Don't try it with normal road tyres. Most people were on electric bikes with fat tyres. I won't be back.
Boberto J — Google review
A bucket list exsperience and must do. Relaxing holiday by selfdriven boat while enjoying southern France's vinos and old villages.

Great spot for both food and drinks I’ve been here twice once in the evening for cocktails and another time for lunch. The cocktails were really good, and the staff was friendly and helped me choose some nice options. I especially liked the Bonne Journée. When I came back for lunch, the food was tasty and the service was very fast. A very nice place with good service. I’d definitely come back.

Situated on the Place du Capitole, it offers outdoor seating and an exquisite dining experience beneath a gold-painted ceiling adorned with first-class art. The menu features classic French dishes with a creative twist.
It’s happen to feel surprise that the meal doesn’t cost me as expensive as I thought, with the look and taste that beyond the amount I pay ! Combine with these elements; good vibe, amazing service, amazing interior decoration, at the heart of downtown location, very very next to Place du Capitole. It’s good to be here !! Only recommendation is “please make reservation” if you want to sit inside the restaurant and enjoy the painting at the ceiling.

A beautiful restaurant on Capitol Square with a fantastic atmosphere. They have gluten-free bread and a menu with all the allergens marked, but virtually all starters and several main courses can be adapted. The waiter confirmed each dish with the chef. I had the ceviche, simply removing the croutons, stuffed eggs and the Angus steak with a different sauce prepared by the chef. Everything was delicious. They even have several gluten-free desserts. I didn't suffer any reaction at all. Highly recommended.
Ana I — Google review
Out of this world experience. The service, frescos, and atmosphere take you away to another time. I told the server my great great grandfather Jean Catherine Bibent started this restaurant in the late 1800s and it was a dream of mine to visit. He made sure I had the most spectacular experience - from a bright wine that paired well with the coconut ceviche to the signature deviled eggs. Proud to see how well the team and new owners have maintained this establishment and know he would be as well. Merci!

why didn't you let us sit by the window when we asked? they were totally unoccupied. we were curtly told a cold "No." by your young waitress. your wait staff urgently need more training in how to address your diners, especially the young ones who look like they're still studying. food ok, wine selection good. lentils for lunch menu mains were bit basic. your best dish wasn't even made by you but from Xavier fromagerie - his cheeses are godsent divine. tops.

Unique, beautiful and delicious place in dowtown Toulouse. The place itself is captivating, a mid-19 th century restaurant will be enough to have a delicious experience. Food was good as well, it was a great experience, beautiful served and good quality, not remarkabky unique dishes though but not a tourist trap. The place is small though, so it can get a bit noisy as it gets full. Also, the toilets are clean but small and nothing to do with the spactacular dinning room. Service was friendly, but again, as more people arrived it got slow and impersonal.

Good food and atmosphere You will need a booking to get a seat inside the iconic restaurant. We sat outside, but all is still good

Good food set in a beautiful building with a good ambiance. We enjoyed our starters, the scallops were delicious, although I had entrecôte main which was unfortunately tough. In addition we ordered wine and probably wanted a further drink or coffees however after initial service we were left alone so another missed opportunity in terms of additional revenue. All in all a pleasant evening and I would go back but perhaps not chose the steak!

Amazing atmosphere, it feels like you're at a dinner party with the King of France. Menu in french only. The snails🐌 were delicious . Polite and friendly staff. Leek, in my opinion, cannot be a separate dish. It was the first course of menu of the day, but it was awful.

Whether you like hiking, skiing or quaint mountain villages, the Spanish Pyrenees are the ideal destination for you. Timbered houses and hearty local food are on offer, while Spanish ski resorts are a great alternative to the busier – and pricier – resorts in the Alps. For the most part, the main crest forms a divide between Spain and France, with the microstate of Andorra sandwiched in between. Historically, the Crown of Aragon and the Kingdom of Navarre extended on both sides of the mountain range The Pyrenees (/ˈpɪrɪniːz/; Spanish: Pirineos [piɾiˈneos]; French: Pyrénées [piʁene] (listen); Catalan: Pirineus [piɾiˈnɛws]; Basque: Pirinioak [piɾini.o.ak]; Occitan: Pirenèus [piɾeˈnɛws]; Aragonese: Pirineus) is a mountain range straddling the border of France and Spain. It extends nearly 500 km (310 mi) from its union with the Cantabrian Mountains to Cap de Creus on the Mediterranean coast. It reaches a maximum altitude of 3,404 metres (11,168 ft) at the peak of Aneto. [1]

Very impressed. It's good to just drive through N260 all the way up. But make sure that you are driving at the day time, because some areas very very difficult. There's places that you can stop and take a picture. But honestly it's better idea to have go pro for all the way. Because most beautiful places you can't stop.

Fair priced good drinks during the happy hour, and house cocktails quite interesting... Shady and neat atmosphere with a nice decoration. Definitely a must go!

Cozy vintage vibe for the after-work chill down time. Cordial service too, just maybe a bit less ice on the cocktails and would make it perfect.

Not a good experience. The girl behind the bar was cold and unfriendly. Didn't acknowledge us when we sat at the bar. Kept talking to her friends at the end of the bar. Didn't smile when she talked to us - made us feel like we were in the way. Cocktails a bit too sweet, and one didn't taste alcoholic at all. She then disappeared outside with her friends, so we had to go out to ask her if we could pay. Why is it so difficult in France to find staff who are friendly and welcoming? A pity, because we've just moved in around the corner and were hoping this could be our regular bar. Will have to find somewhere else.

Very friendly bar and door staff. Make you feel at home. Downstairs plays all sorts of music, depending who they booked. Overall a pretty good night! I recommended.

"Happy hour" wasn't much of one for a cocktail bar as it was on beer only! Cocktails themselves a poor standard. Must do better

Nice bar with 2 levels. Downstairs there is a dj and some space for dancing .. however some people were smoking, even a staff member and the space is like a cave with no ventilation ..(really ?)

Over two nights, I enjoyed delightful meals accompanied by exceptional service. The staff, including attentive waiters like Sayane and Clement, ensured that every detail was perfect while maintaining a friendly atmosphere. The generous portions of delicious food paired with refreshing drinks made for an unforgettable dining experience.
We were two nights at dinner, both time we were not dissapointed. The food was great, they have great service. First night there was one waiter with mid hair, he was always checking on us that we confirm that everthing was good. Second night there was some women waitress and she was great as well. We will definetly return due their great hospitality and modern music.

Do not go here for coffee. Especially not a cappuccino. This might be the worst cappuccino and coffee I have had in my life. The service was nice and I also got a grapefruit juice which wasn’t bad. I also can’t speak for the food.

We didn’t have drinks but on the other tables it looked really great. Food is only 1 star. Not recommended to eat here. Nice and bar-like atmosphere with a very helpful and partially English speaking service team. Conclusion: go there to drink cocktails but avoid the food.

We only came here because l am vegan and we couldn’t find anything to eat for me. As it turned out a normal restaurant will be better with salad and chips. We thought the people are completely confused in running this place. Although all food was cold it took absolutely ages to get anything. Then finally 3 vegan dishes turned up, but nothing for my husband who is not vegan. Also cold potato didn’t appear for ages we don’t know for what reason, clearly all food only need assembling not cooking. Also service was very confused, they brought our 3 shearing dishes but not plates to eat them from. This business with wine need to be removed from the service, as it take too much time. The waiter looked visibly annoyed that we declined the wine. We don’t drink before 18.00, ever. The taste of dishes was also confused, too much salt, paper and vinegar. We didn’t find anything tasty at all. All in all waste of time and 91 euro, we won’t come back and we do not recommend.

Really, really great restaurant. Especially if you’re a vegan struggling to find somewhere special. Fresh, delicious and local veg-heavy dishes, on a menu that’s about 50% vegan. Which is unbelievable in itself for the south of France! The pumpkin dish was about the tastiest thing I’ve ever eaten. And super, friendly staff too. Can’t wait to go back!

Lovely meal highlight being the apricot dessert. Wine was very good. We are vegan so it great to have a choice though we probably should have ordered an extra dish to increase the overall quantity. Possibly a touch pricey. Would definitely recommend to vegans.

Fantastic cocktails in a cool bar in Montpellier beaux arts area. Unassuming entrance but cool inside. Cocktails are not cheap (from 14 euros up to 25) but worth it for a treat. The waiters are trained in ice sculpture, cocktails are presented lit up. Apparently one of the top 80 bars in the world! Food looked good (Thai style) but didn't eat.

My favourite restaurant and bar in Montpellier. The cocktails were very innovative and unique and the dumplings were surprisingly, authentic and delicious. They have a vegan dumpling with a spinach green wrapping topped with a lotus chip and that stuff was like crack cocaine to me. The interiors and decor was stunning and quite up market - it's very unexpected as the bar is located on an unassuming residential street. It was almost like I entered a underground bar in Shanghai. My friends and I went here regularly during our year on exchange and quite frankly, I'd go every weekend if my bank account allowed.

We ordered a pizza between us which was tasteless & disappointing - maybe we ordered the wrong one? We had to ask for napkins, plates, etc and felt that we were being a pain for asking. I had an Aperol Spritz that wasn't great. Very overpriced but you're paying for a table on the marina, so expected.

Good selection of world beers, mostly bottled but some draught. Visited in early afternoon so there was limited food available except for crêpes and ice creams. Worth a visit if you enjoy beer!

Incredible selection of beers. The food is good. Staff is nice. And at least a beautiful view of the port and mountains. What do we need more. Definitely the place to go in the area.

Very quiet, only one there. Bar girl resented my presence, I was interfering with her mobile phone time. Won't be going back

In centre of town. Great range of ice creams - nice direction of seats in sun and shade. Great clean toilets!
