The baked eggs were creamy, flavourful, and served bubbling hot with sourdough — absolutely divine. As for my plate, I can confidently say it was one of the best café breakfasts I’ve ever had. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and rich, the smashed avo added the perfect creamy touch, and the sujuk was crispy, salty, and bursting with flavour. The beef bacon tied everything together beautifully — all served on fresh sourdough that soaked up all that goodness. I’m not from the area, but I visited Williamstown this morning with a local friend who brought me to Crowded House—and I’m so glad she did! We had such a positive experience. The coffees were beautifully made, and both of the dishes we ordered—the Turkish eggs and the corn fritters—were absolutely delicious. I genuinely think those Turkish eggs were the best I’ve ever had. They were packed with flavour, perfectly portioned, and came with warm pita bread on the side. I’ll definitely be making a return trip to this spot as soon as I can!

Absolutley highly recommended. Our story... Late on a cold afternoon during their cleanup and prep for the next day we were peering through the window checking to see if there was room for a large group, the owner opened the door and asked if he could be of any help, we explained our circumstances, he then gave us a menu to take with us as one of our guests is celiac so they could see what was on offer. We came for brunch with extended family the next morning, it was so tasty and the owners were so accommodation we returned the next morning to do it again. We then left and all returned to our home states. 5 stars is not enough.

I took my wife’s family to Tiktok on a sunny Friday morning, and we all loved it. The restaurant has a relaxing vibe, perfect for a slow and enjoyable start to the day. The owner was incredibly friendly and took the time to chat with us about the shop’s history and the postcards sent from all over the world by former staff — such a unique touch! To top it off, the owner surprised us with a special dessert, which was absolutely delicious. It really made the visit memorable. Highly recommend this place for both the warm atmosphere and the wonderful hospitality

Terrible food and very atrocious customer service! The lady who served us should learn some kindness and a smile sometimes goes a long way especially when you expect customers to pay $19 for the tiniest portions of tiramisu and oreo cheesecake that was mainly made of cream!!! If you're charging that much for cakes perhaps use the right ingredients to make it taste bearable!

First Visit to Leroy’s. Food: I ordered the café latte and smashed avocado – both were absolutely delicious. The avo was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. Service: The service was excellent. Welcoming, attentive, and efficient. You can tell the staff (and likely the owners) are passionate about what they do. It felt genuine, not forced, which really added to the overall experience. Cleanliness: Impeccably clean throughout. From the tables to the floors to the service areas. Everything felt well-maintained and cared for. Atmosphere & Overall Experience: Despite it being my first time at Leroy’s, it felt like a local spot I have been visiting for years. There is a relaxed, friendly vibe that makes you feel instantly comfortable. The outdoor area is a huge bonus, especially for families, complete with a kids’ playground. Maybe the best breakfast in Melbourne? Tried the new menu at Leroy’s and this was amazing. Smashed avocado, fresh tomatoes, mint, feta, egg. Massive portion and incredible food… 15/10 recommend. Staff and manager was super welcoming.

Leroy's has such a great vibe. You can sit in the outdoor area that is closed off or indoors. Plenty of space, great for family gatherings, small intimate catch ups with friends or on your own for a quick bite, enjoy some delicious visually asthetic foods and great coffee with carefully crafted designs. Leroy's was beautiful, busy, cosy, and yet not too noisy. Can get busy on the weekends so parking can be a bit hard to find due to the location and people out and about, but overall it was a great cafe to experience, and I will be back again.

Headed to Leroy’s this past weekend, as we have heard nothing but great things. The trip From Geelong was worth every bite. We tried the three little pigs pink bao buns - the pork was juicy and delicious. Fried chicken burger which had a sensational crunch and the smashed avo which was also amazing. The cool running’s juice was refreshing I personally would have liked it to be a little more cold but that was a personal choice, as my partner said it was perfect. Over all we can’t wait to be back to try the pancakes as they looked amazing!! And for how busy this bustling cafe was, we didn’t wait more than 10/15 mins for our meal.

This weeks special pasta dish they served was exceptional and stands out as the best I had recently. I sincerely hope they consider adding it to their regular menu. While the Egg Benedict was satisfactory, they could have added a bit more veggies. Additionally, I would appreciate the inclusion ofsomething like a big brekkie option on the menu, as it currently lacks meat-based dishes.

On this street this cafe had the option of single origin coffees if that’s your thing. Unfortunately we missed out on the range on offer this time and went for a full sugar fix instead. Friendly and quick service!

We had Father’s Day brunch here with our family. Food was lovely, everyone enjoyed their meals. Coffee was good, atmosphere was nice, though it was a little hard to have a conversation as it was noisy and service was a little slow which may of just been due to the fact it was Father’s Day. A cool little cafe spot with good food. Coffee here was good, my latte alot creamier than I expected which was a pleasant surpised. The Asian mushroom dish they do here is really delicious, a great breakfast. The eggs benny had a little too much butter for my liking (on the toast and in the sauce). Service was decent. Not the fastest service ever but still quite attentive.

I love Matcha and I had one of the best ones over there. The staff super friendly, I love the cosy area!! The location is amazing, you can have your breakkie fix and then go for an amazing walk to see the waterfront view. One the best views of Melbourne. If you are tourist or just live in Melbourne and looking for a nice place, here will meet all your expectations. Food was very delicious too by the way. Hahaha....

Visited this lovely cafe over the weekend with my family. We had a seat out in the courtyard and my little ones got to enjoy the chalkboard out the back. Service was really quick and the staff were very friendly, wiping down the tables and chairs out the back as it had been raining earlier in the day. Food was magnificent. Coffee was on point. We will definitely be back to visit again. Parking is available on the street.

Came here as our regular cafe was closed, and this looked the busiest. We ordered a bacon and egg sandwich to share and coffee. The cafe did try to accomodate this by providing an open sandwich with 2 eggs, unfortunately the eggs were over cooked and the coffee was disappointing.

I generally am not impressed with cafe food because I find it over priced and the food amount/quality doesn’t usually reflect the price so I didn’t have high expectations to be pleasantly surprised however I’ve been there 2 times now and both times I’ve been satisfied and impressed. The food is really tasty and thoughtful with flavours and its generous! It isn’t over the top, ridiculous or pretentious it’s simply and delicious and of course to make things better I think it’s very reasonably priced, I can’t wait to go back and try other things on their menu, I am a coeliac and they cater to this very well so there’s many options. Also amazing chia lattes.

Sugar for days. Let me start off by saying - I am an avid lover of sugar and all things sweet. But these guys take it too far. Rewind to entering the establishment where we asked for one Caramel iced latte, followed by asking for 1 iced chocolate, and a bacon & egg focaccia. The lady then repeated back to us “2 Milkshake iced chocolates?” “No 1 iced caramel latte, 1 iced chocolate and 1 bacon & egg focaccia please”. All sorted, no drama. Waiting for our order when the “iced chocolate” arrived. On the left side a congealed blob of ice cream, chocolate syrup…and a bunch of…sprinkles. Huh? The right side which was just plain, untouched by chocolate syrup, milk…slowing making its way under the ice cream pulling out small, icy bits of ice cream…i got 2 sips into drinking this mess before deciding i didn’t need diabetes today, but did in-fact need my teeth. 🦷 Next to be delivered was the bacon & egg focaccia. My partner didn’t mind it. But i thought it was incredibly bland. The only taste that i got was from the egg. There was no relishes, or sauces. Just a cheap egg, and some cheap bacon. Very bland. Finally the last to arrive in a not so busy coffee shop was…the coffee. Which was meant to be an iced caramel latte. It was actually incredibly sweet caramel milk. Which is sitting in the cupholder of the car, with about 3 sips taken from it as i type this review.

We went here to try somewhere different. All three of us eat out at least 4 times a week ( all over Melbourne & the Dandenongs) We're a fan of Big Breakfast meals. (We are spoilt in Altona beach cafes, I have to say) This place in Williamstown was just OK. Undersized meal for what we prefer. Price -average The big breakfast had 1 piece of toast, just enough scrambled eggs to cover it, & a very average tomato relish. I'll let the picture do the talking. Service was very friendly and quick. (Thursday am 1hr parking out front) Make sure you park way away in the Coles 4hr car park. Parking officers in Williamstown are very proactive.

I’ve had lunch, coffee and dinner here and just keep coming back! The food is delicious, with such wonderful ingredients. The falafel wrap is my favourite but my partner also loves the chicken avo wrap and the steak sandwich for dinner. The staff are also so lovely. It is a really cute family run cafe. My favourite in Williamstown :)

Nice place and they let us in just before closing which was nice! Unfortunately we weren’t big fans of the food. Presentation good but didn’t seem like fresh ingredients. Nice eating in the courtyard though.

A bit overpriced for what you order, $8.9 for ice latte, very average; $7.8 taro bubble tea, which you can easily get powder texture. The best one is chicken rice, I think it’s quick authentic and flavorful, but prawn noodle has green long beans in, which is quite weird for prawn noodles ( my partner is Malaysian we had so many different prawn noodles). The way they display is interesting, like Japanese bento with side dishes, but don’t expect too much, plus they have raised the price of menu compared to google ones. You can try once but I don’t think we will come back again.

Nicest staff! Great experience with the service in the cafe! The mushroom fries/fried mushrooms were absolutely delicious! Spicy fries were also delectable - the spicy sauce wasn’t spicy but so yum! The burger that we got was the cheeky cheese burger double patty. Thick and juicy patties. Filled with the works. Yum. Rendang Ramen was good, but I think the flavours were just not for me. Good chew on the noodles. Chicken was soft and falling off the bone. Wood ear mushroom and jammy egg present. Oh and their bubble tea! Matcha bubble tea was delicious! Flavoursome and sweet and perfect! Would definitely recommend this cafe! Don’t forget to get the mushroom fries!

The staff are all friendly. I've only ordered the Japanese curry dish and mango bubble tea but I've ordered it several, and they add different little snacks on the tray with your order every time when you eat in.

The grazing table setup, the food, the drinks and service was outstanding and was above and beyond all expectations, with all guests in agreeance. Really lovely brunch spot, cosy and warm with friendly staff. Yesterday I was there and asked for a little patch of my chilli scrambled to have the chilli left off so my toddler could eat that section, and then the kitchen gave me a whole kids scrambled eggs for free!

On enquiry about gluten free options I was given a wide variety of suggestions. I opted for gluten free bacon sandwich. What came was far more than that and it was delicious. Filled with bacon cheese salad carrot avocado mayo etc. I also had their date and coconut slice which was equally delicious. Very friendly service.

We were a bit late to the cafe, but the owner and the chef are still very kind to provide some food options for us. We had Thai Chicken Toastie and Ham Cheese Croissant. The seasonings of the dishes and the texture of croissant could just need a little bit of improvement, then it will be perfect! The filling is really generous for both dishes We love the fruity slush and acai bowl the most. They are super delicious. Oh how a wall mural catches my eye and lures me to explore. After some good news, I treated myself to an hour to myself at a cute little cafe in Williamstown called @kodamacoffee just off Dudley Street. Over the last few months during our three month stay in Williamstown, every time I’d passed it was well patronaged and on this overcast day, proved to be a little piece of heaven. I chose to sit in the second room which has one large table that could seat 8, but also has window bench seating looking outside or the rather clever standup coffee tables (with a stool for those that want one). I took a seat and a lovely person took my order, a cold milk chocolate and a Thai Chicken Toastie. Taking my time, I settled in with the NYT cryptic crossword and waited for my food. The drink was ideal, not overly sweet or too syrupy. Later a simple fare toastie of free ranged chicken with kewpi mayo, sambal, spring onion, fried shallots and coriander. The chicken was finely shredded which made the sandwich easy to eat in small bites. And so began my hour of “me” time. No racing off to an appointment. No hurrying home. No Zoom meetings or phone calls. Just time to myself immersed in my daily routine of NYT puzzles. Time flew by, had finished most of what I could, with only the Hard Sudoku to complete - which I just couldn’t do. My batteries somewhat recharged a d head clear. Back to the real world now …. Thank you to the excellent staff, who were not just friendly but also gave me the space I was so enjoying. And thank you for the delightful playlist that hummed away in the background. Meatball Panini was good value. Would’ve loved Parmesan cheese sprinkled over it, but the meat & sauce had decent flavour. & the bread was also nice.

It’s a nice cafe at a convenient location. Coffee is good too. However, recently tried their smoothie and was so disappointed at the serving size. It’s equivalent to a small size that you get at most of other places and cost was $11 here. Would not recommend the smoothies. It was just a simple one. Way too over priced for such a small serving size. (It’s still looking larger in the picture somehow, the actual size is smaller). Also, they only sell one size as mentioned.

The Kiosk is the perfect place to enjoy all that Williamstown has to offer. Delicious variety of good food and excellent coffee where the staff are always happy and friendly to serve you. If you’re a regular they will remember your name and your order! ☕️ ❤️ You can sit down and relax whilst enjoying the lovely scenery of the beach the fabulous music.

A lovely little spot on the beach where you can get drinks, pastries, and snacks. We tried the almond croissant, Portuguese tarts, margherita pizzeta, and pumpkin feta muffin which were all good.

The coffee is really good here and there is a wide variety of sweets to choose from. The customer service is also always warm and friendly.

Fantastic fish & chips and don't forget the tender calamari that is so lovely & easy to bite through. Delicious berry smoothie. The staff at the cafe are quite friendly & they have plenty of food options to choose from. This is a beautiful place to sit for a relaxing lunch by the beach.

We also got the beef burger which was absolutely delicious! So simple but the sauce and the patty were perfect. These waffles are on another level though. Couldn’t finish them all which was disappointing but wow. The cafe is also in a great location by the beach and dog friendly which is nice!

What a welcome surprise to find this esplanade cafe has evolved into a delicious dining experience. The veggie burger came out with a side of scrumptious and crisp crinkle cut chips (with a difference) & gorgeous salad garnish. Complete with sauce, dressing and relish, it was a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. Best meal I’ve ever had in Altona.

Come here if you would rather spend your trip to the beach waiting for food than at the beach. Took half an hour for two toasties, and it wasn't very busy. Food wasn't worth the wait or the price.

Good menu variety for this little unassuming Cafe right across from the Altona Beach. Friendly service. They stock the KA pies. I ordered a milk shake, quite tasty.

It was very good with no complaints. Plenty of outdoor seating and limited indoor seating which is good for a cafe. Tried Chicken burger, Korean Breaky bun with eggs and bacon, Toast with PB, Pancakes, Coffee and Hot chocolate. Everything was good, could have been so good if they were hot but except hash brown on the Breaky bun, everything was cold. Chips and seasoning on it was good that came with Chicken burger!

This place is a little gem. The coffee is the the best I have had for quite a while and the food was just as good! Very friendly staff and extremely fast service, we barely had to wait for our coffee and food. I would absolutely recommend this place! I could easily say, best cafe in Altona Meadows. We had the Big Rosebery (Photo 1), Reuben Benny (Photo 2) and Bacon & Egg roll with Chilli Jam and Kewpie Mayo (Photo 3).

Such a gem in the West to have a super nice cafe and truly support local. Baked beans toast is very nice. It is homemade baked beans and very tasty. The chicken burger also good, but the chicken filet wasn't super crunchy. Chai latte is also very good. They used tea leave soaked in milk. Also serve with honey. Coffee is very good, they used Axil coffee, premium branded coffee. This cafe only have handful of tables indoor and outdoor. Lots of locally made bakery items, sweets in the cafe too. They also sell locally source drinks and some locally made items. Staff are very friendly and patience. Service is perfect. Lots of off street parking nearby. They also have today's special menu too. Will definitely come back again.

I usually go out of my way to give a good review to small businesses but my lord both our hot chocolates as well as the coffee was very weak. We had to throw all of them away. Not sure what it was but sorry it wasn't acceptable at any level. Atmosphere is cute however. Cozy little cafe.

We went to this cafe before watching a baseball game in Melbourne ball park. Good service and food is quite delicious. The day they have special dish of egg Benedict. The big Rosebery is quite filling and I like the sauce that cones with it.

Came here with hubby for a late breakfast today. Been going to Williamstown for a very long time & have seen this place, but never thought of coming in. This place has probably changed management over the years & so glad we came in today. What a lovely place right across the ocean. It seemed busy enough for the morning, but the staff on board today were so friendly. Food & coffee arrived so quickly. Hubby & I shared a big breakfast and a ham & cheese croissant with a couple of coffees. The big breakfast was plentiful for 2, & the croissant was so flaky & buttery (what you want from a croissant). Thank you, Fifi's By The Beach. You guys are awesome. We'll be back again.... even during the winter season 😊

Stopped here for a cold iced coffee and cake after a bike ride. The staff were friendly and helpful. Iced coffee was excellent and the carrot cake was fresh. Did look at the menu and had plenty of great options. Maybe next time if we didn't have to finish the ride we will have a meal. The place has a great vibe. Definitely recommend

First time here, random google find and stop thru b4 work. Great coffee. Super hot just as ordered, with my usual plain croissant. Great location, easy parking and perfect view. can imagine it busy on weekends. I could have been their new regular but they'll never know if I've just moved into their area for work or live, coz I felt as welcomed as just a one off customer. Other than that, overall good place.

We stopped by a café after a walk along the embankment. There are tables both inside and outside. Our order was brought quite quickly. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed it. The staff was friendly. I would recommend stopping by for a bite if you're in the area.

They treat those who wear orange vests differently than those who live here. If you pay attention, the cashier won't even say hello to you while shopping. They didn't give me a napkin or a knife. They just brought it to me.

Highly recommend Matteo’s deli! On top of their excellent, friendly and helpful service they offer such a large range of international goodies, being Maltese they never disappoint in delivering my favourite goodies like pastizzi, pantry staples and Kinnie. They also have a great bakery and in house made goodies selection that are so good 🤌🏻🤌🏻 always stocking up on deli meats/cheeses for work and school lunches too, always cut to my liking and always so fresh! When I have time to go in store, they make a mean hot chocolate and panini!🤌🏻🤌🏻

The shared box used to be great. Today I received some out of season fruit that all went in the bin. And a very small amount of meat and cheese for my $35. So disappointed. The bread was nice though.

Had a great experience here! The vibe was spot on, and the service was genuinely warm and welcoming. The food was really good, and I have to say—the coffee is easily the best I’ve had in a while. We came by in the evening and enjoyed a couple of beers—perfect spot to chill with a drink. What made it even better was the personal touch: owner offered us a special Indian dish that wasn’t even on the menu, and it was absolutely delicious. Really appreciated that gesture. Had a great impromptu brunch last Tuesday. I ordered shakshuka - the eggs on top were overdone but overall it was still a great dish. The fried chicken burger, on the other hand, was spot on! Love the crumbs on the chicken - super crispy and flavorful. Chips were great too.

Tried the cheeseburger toastie and the chicken with red chimichurri sourdough toastie - both were good! Melted cheese and pickles in both made them comforting and tasty, and the sourdough was perfectly toasted and crispy. Will definitely be back to try more!

Such a gem of this Asian fusion cafe. The shaksuhka is very good. Lots of chunky ingredients inside. Flavor is very good. Toast is just right crunchy that hold the sauce and ingredients really well. Chicken toastie is very tasty. The sauce just perfect. Chicken is moist inside. Pink chai us really nice. A bit sweet, but good. Matcha latte is very authentic Japanese style, no added suger. They recommend to add agave. MCT bulletproof coffee is perfect. Sweet potato latte is so pretty and taste very good. The seating are very comfortable. Only few tables inside, suitable for small group and large group. No outdoor seating. This restaurant only have few staff. May need to wait a bit if super busy. They also have small bites available. Mainly access by car and bus. Staff are very friendly.

Recommend cauliflower rice. Tasty. Waiting time a little be longer, even we are the only customers. Coffee needs more than 10 minutes and main food needs around 30 mins. So if not in rush, it is recommended.

The duchess of Spotswood...keeping the name in the hope to keep the customers not knowing how bad it is. What a sad state of affairs when you went into this once walked into this OG of breakfast places with excitement, today we walked into here with the foreboding reality that it has sadly gone down hill so bad in quality and Street presence that hardly a soul was in there....after eating there, we know know why. Ordering was prompt and efficient. No sparkling apple juice, no worry...we will order something else. Cappuccino....smallest cup ever! At least it was the right temp. Chocolate Oreo milkshake.....no it wasn't. Carrot, apple mint and ginger.....yeh try again. Apple ye, the merest hint of the others, looks like apples was the cheapest things going. On to the food. Son and I ordered their once signature dish, the Duchess of pork, the beautiful one a seafood omelette. We knew things weren't right when from one of the staff yell out " I don't think we have any bags of seafood omelette left." We looked at each other quizzedly and nearly did a runner, but we chose to stay. Food came out, the beautiful ones omelette was laughable in its inept construction. All the ingredients of the omelette bunched to one side, not like an omelette and what should have been Crystal Bay prawns and smoked salmon was instead frozen small prawns from a big green W deli section and a small scenic of what looked like mushy smoked salmon. Not perturbed, my wife ate on...but at $24, surely they are taking the mickey. My son and I looking forward to our meal, laughed when it was presented to us.....it looked they missed half the ingredients or maybe the tried to be real fancy and put on micro vegetables. The cauliflower florets on the plates are like what you have left over after cutting up your cauliflower...you know...those annoying little crumbs that are hard to pick up. And to make it even funnier, there were only 3 pieces on each of our plate. Someone's job is to actually count it! The signature pork jowl was no such thing (having cooked many of then and as one of my fave proteins), but instead was a dry flavourless slab of nothing that had been compressed together to make it look fancy. Went to mop it up with some of the brush stroke of what was an artistic rendition of a fancy line....it to tasted of nothing. Oh well, it at least lubricated the pork. The final peice of the eating puzzle was the croquette that was on the offering. My son advises me that it is cold....to that I say I will order another. No, he just leaves it to the side. Not exactly sure what it entailed on it's inside but definitely not pork and Gruyère the inside.....unless it was a new fashioned what pork varieties. Seems it was more just a mixture of cheeses. Alas, I to had to leave it behind after the first bite. For it was stone cold. We put this experience down to bad judgement on our behalf. For once a decade ago was one of our highlights on the brunch journey. One where we travelled over an hour to eat and happy to do so. I paid the bill and at $96 I thought a bit steep but wasn't going to argue. Then....when asked how was my meal I retorted that the croquettes were cold and inedible. I did not dare mention the other components of the dish else it would have made me laugh. Not one ounce of apology from the person who makes the coffee and took our credit card who was presumably the manager as this is how he acted during our time there. Instead (without a word of a lie), he turns around and says to a person who was presumably cooking the food for the day...." YOU NEED TO MICROWAVE THE CROQUETTES FOR LONGER." so loud, that you could have probably heard it across the street. My wife and son certainly heard it at the door. Well....our journey to what was a once fine establishment has drawn the curtains. How it can survive doing microwave food, prepared omelettes and satchels of butter at the top dollar us beyond my comprehension. Good luck to them....and to you if you get warm food.

We came for a late lunch on a mid June day. Overcast. A little chilly. But ready for a good meal. As soon as you walk in you can feel the difference. @duchessofspotswood is not pretentious or precious. It’s wholesome, everyday and ideal for families. See started out with a lot of earl grey tea and a hot chocolate and tapped our toe to the cool playlist running in the background. I ordered the ‘simple pleasures’ with halloumi and my partner ordered ‘pork royale Benny’ with a Kimchi salad. Visually, they were both stunning. Remember - we eat with our eyes and our plates took our breath away. Food was fresh and tasty either layers of flavour in my food. Eggs cooked to perfection either oozy runny yolks and firm whites. Bonus is that there is dining indoors for around 35, on the street outside for about 12 and at the rear garden for about 20. The ‘cubby garden’ is perfect for families, mothers groups or those with little ones. The enclosed area has plenty to keep@kids busy and playful, so the adults can enjoy their time as well. Owner Sam and chef Chris have been here since 2014 and clearly know their customers well. Food is all prepared from scratch - impressive in this day and age of fast food. We will return. My friend I catch up & eat out every week for 2 years. I also eat out with my lady at least 3 times a week. We try many new places. Honest review- tasty meals ( Breakfast of champignons & Duchess of pork) but well under size & mug of coffee also undersized. Price- About the average despite smaller meals. We were about the only people there on a Wednesday morning.

I ordered the seafood omelette expecting, well… seafood. What I got was basically just eggs with a single tiny, dry shrimp buried inside like it wandered in by mistake. I feel completely misled. If this is what they call "seafood," they should rename the dish to "omelette with traces of crustacean." Not coming back. Bitter coffee too.

This pizza is solid! The crust is just the right mix of crispy and chewy, with plenty of flavor. The sauce has that perfect tang, and they don’t skimp on the cheese or toppings. Every slice is loaded, and it’s the kind of meal that fills you up and leaves you happy. Definitely worth ordering again!

It's been a long time since I've eaten here, but sometimes a place just keeps on being great. Motorino's pizzas were always my go-to when I lived locally and they are just as good as they used to be - delicious thin base, quality ingredients, perfectly cooked. The salads and pastas are satisfying and fresh, and the dessert pizzas (see picture) round the meal off damn well. It doesn't hurt that the service is friendly and professional too.

Ordered one large frutti di mare pizza (seafood one) through Ubereats. The pizza came cold and soggy so it was not enjoyable 😔 Probably better dine in.

In a West suburban desert of culinary establishments I happened to chance upon a camel less oasis serving delicious food and beverages. The highlight was the $5 shake. It brought back memories of Vincent Vega interrogating Mia Wallaces’ in arguably the greatest movie of the 20th century. Had the BLAT as well. Just lovely. Could have had more but I’m watching my weight…..

This is a hidden gem, just off the freeway, in Eames Ave (off Miller's Rd). With great service, and a well thought out delicious menu, and the best coffee I have ever had, I would highly recommend Chapter One as your go to place for breakfast, lunch or coffee. You will not regret it. Love it! Anne

Lennox Deli is tucked away in a pretty cool neighbourhood and serves up a solid sandwich. I tried both the Cottoletta and the Lennox Deli—both were good, but not mind-blowing. The standout for sure was the size of that chicken schnitzel in the Cottoletta. Massive, juicy, and had a nice crunch to it. There were a few dry spots, but honestly, with a piece that big, that’s kinda expected and didn’t take away from the overall experience. I personally enjoyed the Lennox Deli sandwich more—felt fresher thanks to the crisp lettuce which balanced the whole thing out nicely. Price-wise, both were around the $20 mark or just under, but they’re big. I was full after just half of each. The bread held up really well too—no soggy mess, just solid, good-quality stuff that soaked up the juices and oil without falling apart. Overall, it’s a good sandwich spot. It might not hit that “memorable” level, but it’s definitely a reliable pick when you want something tasty and satisfying. A "you know what you’re gonna get" kind of place—in the best way.

Ordered the ‘Hot Honey Bun’ and ‘Grass Is Greener’ today. Both were amazing! Freshest focaccia bread around! Loads of filling but not messy like others out there. Will be back to check out others on the menu. 5 stars.

Absolutely obsessed with the focaccias at Lennox Street Deli especially the Hot Hunny Bun… it’s next-level delicious! The balance of flavours and the quality of ingredients is honestly one of the best things I’ve eaten in ages. What really blew me away, though, was the service. Even though they were down to just one working oven, the team bent over backwards to make sure I was looked after. You could tell they genuinely care about their food and their customers. Super impressed and super grateful. Can’t wait to come back!!

Been keen to come here for awhile now since it’s a long trek for me but finally had the chance to try these sandwiches. Had both the Lennox Deli & The Hot Honey Bun, the focaccia bread is pillowy in the inside and crunchy on the out. Both had fresh cold cuts and flavour was really there but the star of the show was the hot honey, the honey compliments the sandwich really well as the pistachio gives that extra texture. Coffee was good too. Great for value as the picture only shows half of what we’ve eaten. The staff and owner were really welcoming and very friendly! Overall best sandwiches in my opinion, would come back again!!

It's very unassuming from the outside but what a special little café! I love the play area - my kid always have fun. Perfect place to come on a cold day for a coffee, a toastie and a bounce. The staff is great with kids and they're always friendly and welcoming.

I found it strange that a cafe was so close to the industrial area I was in when I was looking for something to eat one Saturday morning, but I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised to find this place. The staff were friendly and talkative, the food was great, and the only regret I had was that I went takeaway because I had to keep moving for a long drive.

We’ve used Zanz Zanz for catering on a couple of occasions. Delicious selection of hot and cold foods, sweets boxes and fruit platters. The egg and bacon panini, burek and falafels were some of our favourites. Super happy with the friendly staff who helped me select the variety and the perfect amount. Highly recommended!!!

All our food was hot and a presented very well. Today I walked in with a smile on my face only to be met with a brick wall of glum and a lack of customer service or smile, or any happiness. Asked for a strong coffee, wouldn't say it's strong at all, very disappointing. He didn't even look at me when I was placing my order and just shoved the eftpos towards me, still not looking at me, put my coffee on the table, no words just walked off. I hope his mood improves for others or for himself!

Coffee is decent with a cool little laneway setting, but customer service skills could use some work. Sour faces abound...also why serve boiling hot tea in a single cup? Double it up or use an insulating sleeve. Too many other options around to bother with again.

One of the best espressos I've ever had, highly rate this place. We used to drive all the way from Newport to get our coffee here.

The food here is decent, though it leans on the expensive side with limited options available. The place isn’t as busy as it used to be before the new management took over, which can be a plus if you prefer a quieter dining experience. The highlight is definitely the friendly and attentive staff who make the visit pleasant overall.

Our friends who live in Yarraville suggested this cafe and wow, what a brilliant spot for breakfast. A short stroll from the beach, oodles of free parking and a great relaxing vibe. The coffee is Genovese (top shelf) and freshly ground for each cup - made by a great friendly barista. The food is fresh and tasty - with lots of options - including fresh sandwiches, ham & cheese croissants or the traditional breakfast options including avocado smash and scrambled eggs. OMG, our grandson Oscar, loved, loved, loved the banana bread. I should also mention a great selection of fresh pastries and muffins (either to eat in or to take away). Lunch options also looked great as we were leaving.

This is the first time I went to the cafe. It's so close to Altona beach, nice place to have a coffee after the walk. Place is huge, nice sitting area indoors and outdoors. I loved they have menu on the wall with the prices. I only had coffee and loved the coffee. It was quick, staff was polite. I sat outside as it was a nice sunny day. Perfect place to sit n relax to have coffee or lunch. I will have lunch next time.

Food is decent but nothing special. And pretty expensive for what you get. $28 for calamari $15 for a basket of chips $18 for a sandwich!! 2 adults and a toddler. Spent $92.50 for 3 drinks, 2 meals and the basket of chips. Everything else was about $30 Staff were ok, although apparently they think toddlers don't drink water as they only brought out 2 cups with the water when we were seated. She might have been having an off day. But waitress didn't really talk much and certainly didn't tell me the price when I ordered. Just offered me the eftpos machine.

You can sit outside which is nice The food is good but really expensive 19$ for a sandwich! 5.75 for a small black coffee. And the owners, one is lovely the other is super grumpy. I'm a local but struggle to come here.

On a chilly morning I was craving a bowl of porridge but at $24 for a bowl of oats & a pear I was put off & opted for a piece of carrot cake & a chai latte which was $15. They were both pleasant enough but I doubt I’ll be rushing back as the menu was quite pricey when compared to other establishments serving similar food. The service was reasonable, although my dining companion had to ask after her food order as it seemed to have been forgotten but came promptly after asking about it.

Popped in for a quick coffee fix and snack so can’t really rate the food. They brew with Industry Beans, so you know the coffee’s going to be smooth, balanced, and just the right kind of bold. Mine was spot on—no bitterness, just a clean, satisfying sip. Couldn’t resist trying one of their Nutella bites—think mini calzone meets dessert heaven. Warm, gooey, and just the right size to feel indulgent without going overboard. Plenty of seating inside, so it’s perfect whether you’re solo, catching up with a friend, or just escaping the chaos for a moment. Service was quick - no fuss, just easy and efficient.

Everything here is wonderful. The service, the fit out, the food, the coffee, the ambience, it’s wonderful here. We will definitely be back. The team is also very friendly. Keep it up guys, really loved it!

I recently visited Cedar Bakery | Moonee Ponds. The pies were good, but the falafel pocket was very disappointing as it was not cooked properly. The service from the staff was excellent; however, the behavior of the manager was not acceptable in the way he spoke. With this kind of management, I honestly cannot recommend this place unless there is a change in attitude from the manager.

Modern fresh clean environment, spacious seating. quiet enough to have a great conversation, consuming delicious dips. lamb or chicken skewers with delicious light fluffy yummy pita bread ! Easy parking.

Highly recommend this Cafe, friendly service, the food and presentation is amazing. I had the lamb skewers. The meat was perfectly cooked and very soft. I was impressed by the coffee to, they take pride with making the coffee. When you have good food, coffee and atmosphere it sets a good mood ☕😁👍

My boyfriend, aunt and I came here for breakfast in 2011 and it was fabulous. My aunt had her favourite, the B.L.A.T., and I was instantly jealous. The flavours of this dish were amazing, mainly due to the garlic mayo, but we all really enjoyed our meals. When we make it back to Australia, we'll definitely go back

Coffee tasted burnt and smelt terrible. I had the lasagna and it was cold in the middle and had a very sweet sauce, we also tried the spanakopita and it was okay but I don't class a spanakopita as some spinach and cheese wrapped in 1 bit of filo. We also had quite a bit of a wait for the food to appear even though it was quiet. Disappointing experience.

Average experience, wasn't that packed but took a long time to produce simple breakfast dishes. No Bonsoy, no wow factor and boring food. No water was brought to the table. On the plus, friendly staff, good location and a clean cozy atmosphere.

Dude with dreads makes insane coffee and is an awesome bloke. There is a new young Islander Girl that is a similarly skilled Barista and an absolute sweetheart. Lovely place for coffee, my Wife loves the Bircher Muesli and everything we have tried there has been delicious. Thanks Guys and Girls.

This is our family treat, the cakes are so good, really light, soft and fresh - you can them making the cakes and breads in the cafe. The Japanese style cheesecake particularly the berry and pistachio is just beyond perfection. The price is worth it and my son loves the teddy bear 'latte art' in the top of the hot chocolate. His favourite cake is the Mango and Pandan layered sponge cake. Great little celebration cakes to take home. I hope it grows in popularity and is with us for a long time.

Lovely little dessert cafe! The square desserts are worth the value. Great taste of sweetness and flavour! Strawberry is absolutely my favourite! Staff were nice and enthusiastic!

My wife and daughter went for a morning treat on Saturday. The Macha latte was cold. Plain toast didn't offer butter or jam. The honey toast ordered was not fresh. Hot chocolate had no teddybear decoration or marshmallows, and my daughter even said not to go back. Hopefully, they can do better. Staff just seemed ignorant.

What a delightful find! After wandering around Highpoint I stumbled across Teddy cafe and took a closer look at the cakes - I'm glad I did! Friendly service with a smile plus unique, tasty cakes. The coffee is nice too. I enjoyed a piece of the Autumn Chestnut sponge cake. Only sad part is I live in Lilydale so I can't be a regular! ;)

🥐 We ordered a matcha cube croissant and a Japanese butter roll around 12PM. I had high hopes for both because they looked amazing, but unfortunately, the croissant was a bit dry. The filling was nice, though the matcha cream on top hadn’t blended well, I could still see some clumps. The butter roll was slightly dry on the outside and a little burnt at the bottom. It didn’t affect the taste too much, but it was still a bit disappointing given how beautiful it looked😭 🍵 I got a regular iced matcha latte, and sadly it was quite bland. The flavour was grassy and the colour very pale...this was one of the main reasons I gave 4 stars 🥲 I really hope they improve the matcha! The staff member was kind, but seemed a bit rushed 🥹

Cakes and dessert are great however the matcha latte was quite disappointing, wouldn’t recommend it as it tasted bitter and oxidised. Noticed the container the cafe used to store the matcha was left open with a spoon in it which explained the taste.

Nosh is now closed. Replaced with Birds of a Feather. Even better! Tucked away in a back street, it's easy to miss. Worth a visit if you're local - very relaxed. grungy vibe that would fit in well in Melbourne's northern suburbs. Coffee is good, food is better - my favourite dish being the fruit and nut filled granola, whilst the hash browns could use some improvement. Overall a good breakfast or lunch stop, not too pricey. Has a good community feel and toys and highchairs for kids.

Today I had the WORST COFFEE i have ever tasted in my 44 years on this earth! Seriously, it was worse than those 7/11 style coffees where you just press a button and a coffee-like liquid appears. I just dont know how they can make it so bad? I asked for a double shot latte' and instead I got a weak horrible tasting coffee that I threw in the bin on the way out. I could tell by the way the girl poured the milk that there was absolutely zero care going into this coffee....she poured it like she was filling a bucket to wash the car - and frankly thats what it tasted like. This was probably the first coffee made for the day as I bought it right when they had just opened, so the coffee machine should have been as fresh as a daisy - instead I have an awful taste of yesterdays stale, burned coffee that haunted me until I could be a decent brew to get me back on track. For god sake Nosh, this is Melbourne, coffee is what we are all about and its no wonder the cafe was empty when I arrived this morning. Major FAIL. If you enjoy nice coffee, give Nosh a wide berth.

We were very impressed by this little hidden away Venue, great service, beautiful food and a good gluten free selection for our son, we will be coming back for Breakfast again.

Cant cook and ugly people behind counter

At first glance looked like a great place to eat, but wait times were over 1 hour for food! No table service, have to use QR codes and we had an issue with our table number. Rather than sorting it out, the wait staff said “we cancelled the order” when we asked what was going on (at about the 45 minute mark.) They also lost our dockets for drinks! Very rude when attempting to sort issues, and then our food had hair on it! No thanks.

The Moroccan eggs were rich and full of flavour, and the avo toast hit the spot – fresh, zesty, and super satisfying. Loved the chilled atmosphere just a short stroll from the beach. Great spot to refuel after a walk from beach🌞🍳🥑

Had coffee, hot chocolate and cheesecake. Nice big Cafe, quite busy considering its mother's day today. Had seating arrangements both indoors and outdoors. Staff is polite and service is good. Only thing i was not happy about was table and chairs were dirty. Someone used it and was not even cleaned properly. Entrance is quite good and wheelchair accessible.

So me and my parents come to this place almost every Sunday for breakfast/lunch. The food is usually very good and the coffee is excellent! Ive grown fond of the atmosphere, inside and out. :)

It's a great location and the coffee tasted alright, just let down by the service which we felt was pretty average. We walked up to the counter, the lady asked if we were having here or taking away. "Having here please" was our response. We ordered a large latte and regular flat white. She said "take a seat and we'll bring it out." Then the same lady makes our coffees in takeaway cups and brings them out to our table. I found this to be poor service to ask if you are having here and then proceed to give us coffee in a paper cup. Other tables got their coffees in mugs, the place wasn't busy. The barista should listen to customers answers and switch on. We felt like an afterthought and not like valued customers. I would understand if the place was busy - mistakes happen, but the place was really quiet and the barista literally asked us if we were having it here and then still got it wrong.

For a moment, I thought I was back in Johannesburg in South Africa! You don’t bring your dog into any Cafe that is serving food or coffee. Hygienic situations abound!! The staff know that I’m standing in the queue to be served, but no one there to take the order, and the barrister gives a blank stare too. The local constabulary get their coffee there, but turned a big blind eye to the two dogs that ventured in with their owners. May you review your health standards carefully before I contact the local authorities.

A hearty Italian joint! The home-made Italian food is so wholesome! The staff are Italian and the Cafe vibes are very traditional. The coffee is also great! The Cafe is initially unassuming but you will love visiting!

Excellent coffee made by Italians. Great location next to the pier. Heaps of homemade desserts. The staff are friendly and bend over backwards for clients. Paninis, sausage rolls, Macaroons, hot chocolates, cakes, donuts and other delights. Pet friendly. The decor is old school but cozy. Highly recommended

It's a great little cafe that feels like it could be at home anywhere in Paris or Rome. The hot chocolate we had was wonderful and the pear Danish too was excellent! Would go back!

Cafe cirino is a lovely spot to stop for a coffee. You have lots of spots to sit indoors or outdoors. Polite staff and good food. I brought a book and had a raspberry pistachio croissant that was fresh and tasty. Enjoy time out there.

Why was a staff member drinking a milkshake in a service area? For starters servers cannot have open drinks in FOH. It's a standard WHS regulation. Also why was she standing drinking it on the wrong side of the counter while she waited for coffees to be made? In 13 years in hospo I've never seen a server do that. Both unprofessional and unhygienic. Tried to call this place about 30 times during the week to make an enquiry. No one every picked up the phone

Sunday morning breaky was on cards. This little quint Cafe was busy not just for coffee but patrons were sitting down for breakfast also. Coffee was one of the best I have had. Complimented the barista On the same. Nice coffee makes a day great no matter the time. Avo with scrambled eggs felt like a little rip off for the price but eggs your way were nice. Little surprise was the micro greens that went with it. Vanilla slice was also great and would recommend. Would I come back - Yes

Avoid. Food is stale. Had the white chocolate and raspberry muffin that was just fine when very hot. The lamington was so stale we could barely cut it. We both tasted it and didn't eat any more. They delivered the food and didn't come back. Very expensive.

We have been ordering coffee from here for a while, and for some reason decided to come in for breakfast on a busy Sunday morning no less! 😅 However, we were not disappointed. The lovely staff had a table for us inside straightaway, and made us feel instantly welcome! The coffee was amazing, as per usual ☕️ but the food blew us away! We had the chili scrambled eggs, and it was more than enough for two people! We added sausage and bacon to it, which was the best decision we made this week! 🌭🥓 the savoury sausage and tender pork slices perfectly complemented the fluffy garlic chili eggs 🍳 and contrasted the toasty sourdough bread 😋 thanks for getting us ready for the rest of our day! ☀️

The food was good but that’s about all we can say was good at Rockabye Candy. First and probably last time we will visit. The front of house staff are very unpleasant and as you have to go up to the counter to order we are not sure why the owners would have 4 wait staff on when all they are doing is running food and being rude at the same time. Coffee was terrible and we had to ask our order to be remade twice as they got it wrong over and over. Shame for the kitchen as front of house ruins it for them. 3 stars only for the food or it would be no stars

Very average. The calamari salad had no flavours and was dosed in mayo. Falafel bowl also very bland. Staff is indifferent, I tried to flag someone down on two occasions and was just ignored and had to go inside to sort it myself.

Lovely place. We went on a Monday at lunch time. It was quite busy. We sat on the bar stool and enjoyed great brunch. Staff was friendly and efficient. Food was excellent. The eggs Benedict were Devine. But also the cheese steak brunch burger. Highly recommended.

Rockabye Candy is located at 38 Pier st, Altona. Directly across from Logan Reserve and a two minute walk from the beach. Its in a fantastic location. We ordered: Tropical pancakes, Fritter with scotch steak & egg, Smoothies: green & yellow, Kids: Pancakes, Chicken nuggets & chips, We had a lovely family lunch here on a beautiful sunny Melbourne Sunday. The tropical pancakes with walnuts, berries, caramelised pineapple, mango sorbet, were delicious and flavoursome. My husband had the fritter with scotch steak & egg, he said it was amazing and the steak was tender, and the portion size very generous. Kids loved their meals, which were also generous in size. The smoothies looked amazing, were fresh, cold, and tasty. This place has a great family friendly vibe, was spacious, with ample seating, and welcoming staff. And a great location near Altona beach.

I used to come to this Cafe when it was formerly known as Melissa's. I understand that that was a number of years ago, but today that was about to change. After some trepidation on my part I relented and decided to come here, to rockabye candy. The decor is reminiscent of the old cafe, but more modern and minimalist. The service was not bad, I think they were under the pump since they weren't overly friendly, but they were professional. We ended up waiting quite a while for the food to arrive, I ordered the chicken burger which was worth the wait, it was cooked to perfection and it was crispy. I also loved the coffee, the Crema on my long black was thick and creamy which is a good sign, I proceeded to take a sip and it was just the right amount of bitter. (neither acrid nor burnt) 😊 I would probably come here on a quieter day and give them another chance...

Rock on by to Rockabye Candy, and you'll be sure of a sweet dining experience. Service was prompt and friendly, particularly noticeable as they were very busy at the time, but we felt well looked after. Our meals came out in decent time, and were well presented and tasted delicious. Very filling with decent portions. The meals were well balanced and all plates were left bare at the end of our time at Rockabye. With a nice atmosphere, great service and a satisfying menu, it's worth a stop by.

Great food and great service. I want to give 4.5 star on food on a minor feedback, the fried egg/sunny side up still had some raw albumen(white). Service: i asked for a take away box then a baking paper, i felt im disturbing the servers too much as i was asking for one then another, however, their reaction to my request is genuine service - amicable and quick. Hence overall, big thumbs up!

Came here for business brunch on a Sat. Requested a quiet table but it was pretty noisy where we were seated with 3 adults talking on top of their lungs. Food and coffee was pretty average, bland food, small portion, not sure what the hype was about with the good reviews, maybe due to the lack of western restaurants in the area? Prices were quite high too, cost us $150, without alcohol. The chilli scrambled eggs I had was $20++, which was basically eggs on toast! @mindourlanguagetravelgroup

Excellent! A hidden gem in Laverton right opposite Laverton railway station. The coffees we had were excellently smooth. However, I will say the Mocha was better than the Soy latté, where smoothness was concerned. The Fried Spiced Cauliflower is a healthier option to regular chips. Though deep fried, I would suggest you try the cauliflower. The Chicken Burger is very different here. They have a choice of having the marinated chicken thigh (lip-smacking) either fried or grilled. The combination with avocado along with the slaw in a milk bun gives your palate an amazing feel and though your tummy is full, you want more. The Bombay Toastie is something out of the world. Such a simple sandwich/toastie, but served so elegantly with a delicate balance of tamarind chutney and coriander chutney along with potato crisps, its simply got us all nostalgic. The Chilli Garlic Prawn Curry with Turkish Bread is the best Prawn Curry I have had in a long time. The balance of garlic and chilli, the use of tomato base and other spices is way too good. Best part, there are more than enough prawns in one serving. There are as many prawns in one serving of this curry, as there would be on a medium to large pizza or more number of prawns than in the prawn curries you get in any Indian restaurants, which are supposed to be shared by 2-3 people. This curry goes really good with the bread, however just 3 pieces of bread do not seem to be sufficient. I really would have loved 2 more pieces of the Turkish Bread. Overall, an excellent place for a have a coffee or a T/A coffee, Brekkie/Brunch, Lunch or even the brekkie/brunch desserts, which unfortunately, we could not try. BUT WILL CERTAINLY GO BACK for the treats. Overall, 4.5 stars from me.

The food was delicious and the place was nice and spacious. They also had a front area outside the cafe to sit in and bring your fur baby! Also, it would be really nice to sit outside in spring or summer! The staff were very friendly and had a variety of food to choose from, which is amazing if your vegetarian, vegan, gluten or dairy free.

My wife and I really enjoyed our experience here on Sunday morning. We both had lattes and Eggs Benedict. The waitress was polite and attentive and the atmosphere pleasant with interestesting marine animal sculptures decorating the area.

My wife and I absolutely love this place. The owner is a proper chef and the cuisine reflects it. She is particularly gifted with seafood. One of my particular dishes is the Breakfast Cassoulet. A casual place to meet friends, dine well and enjoy an excellent coffee.

I ordered the Maple Pulled Pork and Red Hot Chili Prawns. The pulled pork is the best stewed pork for me the texture is soft, and it comes with green apple. It was so tasty. The Red Hot Chili Prawns are scrambled eggs mixed with prawns, topped with crispy fish, and served with chili in olive oil. They are also very tasty. The coffee is strong and smooth, and the service is very nice. I want to come back to try another menu next week.

Highly recommend to anyone who looking for a wonderful breakfast and brunch experience in Melbourne. The recent coffee that I had is to my liking. I was impressed by its great qualities. And the food was pretty tasty, bacon was cooked perfectly and sandwich that I ordered was delicious with reasonable price. Very welcoming and friendly staff, the service was fast, great environment and convenient location just by the road, near Newport station so really easy to be reached. The backyard behind the cafe was spacious for kids. Everything was so excellent that words can't describe. I will definitely be going back!

Wonderful family friendly cafe with a spacious backyard area for toddlers to run around. Both customer service and food/coffee was great. Though, it was hard to decide what to eat because nothing really stood out on their menu besides the pulled pork, for me anyway. And I didn’t enjoy the coke float with soft serve - would be much better if it was made with real ice cream. In saying that, highly recommend The Backyard to anyone with young kids and want to absorb a bit of vitamin D!!

Visited over the weekend with my family of four for brunch. Parking was easy out the front, although I will mention it was 1 hour timed, so just be careful of that! We sat out the back in the courtyard with all the kids toys so our little ones could have a run around and enjoy the space. Service was quick to order our drinks, but we had to go back in and ask if we could order food as no one came out after that to help us and we had two hungry monsters ready to go. Food took approximately 15 minutes to come out from ordering. Drinks were on point. The kids toasties were good. Breakfast dishes were also yum. I will just note - if you choose to sit out the back, beware of the seagulls, as they will swoop in and try to take your food the second you are off guard.

Wow! Surprisingly we just found The Backyard. The most delicious oat milk coffee and the banana bread was so delicious it did not last long enough to be a model for my photograph. So next time. What an amazing place with wonderful staff. Just saying!! I say again the best banana bread in Australia. Nowhere else comes close!

This place does its best to have as much whole and organic food as possible and they do a pretty good job. I really enjoyed the pancakes which was a good size - almost couldn’t finish them. This place also has ‘takeaway meals’ so if you need something for dinner, drop in and see what’s on offer. Staff are helpful and friendly. A wheelchair, pram or stroller could fit through the door. Parking isn’t too bad considering it can be challenging in Williamstown. Another bonus is the views around Williamstown.

Googled vegan places and this came up. I had delicious mushrooms and rice. Coffee was great too. Also I got not just one but 2 little bowls of fresh yummy blueberries 🫐 🤤😊

I was taken to Novel Kitchen for lunch not knowing what to expect. Service was fast and on ordering a couple of things weren't available but I got the Lentil and Veg soup which was served with a large slice of cob loaf. The taste was really nice just like good home made thick soup. I will take hubby next time and try something else. Will be visiting very often.

Waited over 20 mins to have sandwiches made and then was overcharged. Don’t bother with the Banh Mi - they used sliced bread and toasted them . They wanted to charge $12 for the pleasure. Sandwiches were soggy. Staff were nice.

Stopped in unexpectantly on the weekend for a coffee and breakfast. Coffee was quiet bitter and needed sugar. Porridge was really yummy and cooked perfectly. Toppings were spot on.

Unfortunately, this was the worst vegan Pho we've ever had. We really looked forward to it, but the broth was just plain boiled water. The aromatics had to work hard to bring any flavour and it desperately needed salt. Even a shop bought stock cube would have made it 1000x better.

I usually come here for my weekend coffee and came for breakfast for the first time last weekend. The food was amazing and the seating outside was so peaceful. The place is very kids friendly too, they helped us out with kids friendly cutlery and table setting and the little on loved the fritters!

Caramel butterscotch pie is to die for 🤤 sweet and delicious! They have amazing selection of pastries, bread and cakes. Cinnamon roll was good, the glaze reminds me of krispy creme donuts

I had a family emergency and needed two cakes and she was so helpful and kind. To say her customer service was great is an understatement. The most beautiful soul ever , definitely what I needed on a stressful Saturday morning. Other than that , I cannot recommend the red velvet cake enough. I wish i could gatekeep but its too good. It has become a family tradition of ours to have a red velvet cake every birthday .. so please never change the recipe🫶🏻 10/10 Also tried the cinnamon scroll and it was delishh, i do prefer a creamcheese frosting but this was sort of like krispykreme icing sugar glaze. Still yum, light and fluffy and doesnt make you sick🥰8/10

Loved the tres leches cake! Pistachio cream croissant shell was a bit hard but filling was tasty. Disappointed with the red velvet as the icing almost had a rubbery texture and don’t recommend it. Will be back to try the other cakes and pastries though

Stumbled upon Candied Bakery and tried the chocolate Biscoff cream croissant, rich, decadent, and perfect if you love dark chocolate. We also tried the pistachio escargot, which was my favourite, lighter but equally delicious. Would’ve loved to try more, but they were understandably sold out on a busy Sunday afternoon.

Cocoa Latte has a cozy vibe and the croissants are buttery and delicious. I tried the chocolate croissant, which was decent but could’ve had a bit more filling. The coffee was smooth and rich though, so overall a nice combo. Reasonably priced for the location. 👍

Very very very disappointed with food we order fresh veggie sandwich but i cant find any vegetables in this. It taste more like a desert, which is funny😂 Almond latte was like I am having almond milk. First and last experience, which is worst.

Second time here yesterday. First time, stopped briefly on a walk and had a hot chocolate and muffin. Overall was ok, not terrible. However, tried again today as we were walking past, at first we felt very put off as every empty table had dirty plates and cups on it. We cleared one table ourselves and placed dirty cups on another table. A male came out from inside and said hi, but did not offer menu or tell us to go inside to order, it was hard to work out whether he even worked there. Waited a few minutes and my partner went to the toilet. He came back and said toilets were awful, very dirty, no paper towel. We still hadn't been approached to order so we decided to leave. On walking back past around 30 mins later, the same tables were still full of dirty plates and cups. Very unprofessional and not at all welcoming when coming into a cafe. We really want to support local places, but when the basics of hospitality are not even met, it is really difficult to do so. It feels as though owners don't take pride anymore.

I have used Salt n Pepa twice for function catering and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The fruit boxes were packed and beautifully presented and the sandwiches varied and delicious.

One minute you're calmly enjoying your breakfast, next minute it’s staging a full takeover of your taste buds. Not aggressive enough to file a complaint, but definitely bold enough to remind you it exists. You’ve been warned. Service is classic Melbourne: friendly, casual, and probably owns a keep cup. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food and drinks are excellent. Also very baby friendly, with a great little toddler playground in the rear of the cafe, including tables for outdoor loving customers. I can't fault this cafe. Well done guys.

There’s a lot of pressure on cafes to deliver outstanding food with great customer service and Elephant cafe hit the nail on the head on both elements. The wait staff were incredibly patient when dealing with our group of 12 sitting on the outside tables. We all ordered a variety of things on the menu with the Rosti’s being most popular. Pork, Salmon and Vege! Awesome portion sizes were welcome and the coffees were terrific! Highly recommend.

So glad I found this place on my holidays from work. I will definitely be returning on weekends and when I can. I love the atmosphere, sitting outside with birds chirping and listening to the Cafe music. There is a playroom down the side, which I haven't checked out. But great to see so many young families enjoy coffee and treats here. Also accessible public toilets. Updated 31/12/2023 I finally had brunch here today. Undeniably the best poached eggs and avocado. Very generous serving and such good quality that I don't want to brunch anywhere else.

Best Cafe. Came here with family friends for breakfast. The servings are huge, fresh and always spot on. Coffees, cold/hot are out of this world. Just beautifully creamy smooth and great kick start to our day. Can't fault this Cafe at all. The staff are all amazing. Rob always makes us feel welcome and always know our order. Came for brunch on a weekend to see what all the fuss was about a day the Cafe certainly didn't disappoint. The menu options had good variety and we settled on the salmon routine and muesli. Both dishes were top quality and coffee also hit the spot. We loved that we could bring the pooch and sit in the sunny outdoor area. Service was super friendly and overall vibe was on point.

A training cafe. Not as quick as your usual cafe but you can see care is taken every step of the way. Nice size servings and a big area for kids with parents (blow up castle, cubby house outside a room to draw and toys to play with) on one side and a big area for adults on the other.

Great place for kids and the food is really good. I believe they have a new chef ( for a little while now), it shows! My son's chicken and chips was chicken strips and not processed nuggets, which I hate to say other "trendy" cafe's serve up. The kids area, means both mum and toddler are happy.

Went with 3 others. Food was great, service was good. Clean tables and food didn't take too long. Keep in mind the kitchen closes 1 hour before closing time and if you have discount vouchers they only let you use one per group so don't go in there with a big group asking for more than one voucher. Also they only have sour dough bread so don't ask for other types other bread. Other than spending more than I planned was a good experience. I'll be going back again.

Great place for kids, playground, activity room and small kids portions. Good value, homely cooked breakfast or lunch. New Leaf is a social enterprise so the service can be hit and miss, but you should give the feedback if you have a bad time of it to help them out. Majority of times we’ve been it has been excellent.

This place is a new favourite of ours. We have come here with friends for lunch and were so happy with the food, service and coffee. Today we took a grumpy two year-old and got to experience the kids section of the cafe, and it was magical! A huge playroom for little ones to explore and lovely seating for the adults. Although seperated from the main cafe it didn't feel like we were forgotten or anything and again got to enjoy a wonderful lunch. New Leaf clearly care a lot about its staff and customers. I am reccomending it to everyone!

Dog friendly - they donate 10% of their profits to guid dog Australia. Cost coffee place with friendly staff. The coffee is ok. The eggs Benedict with salmon was average. The sauce had no own flavor, the eggs a bit overcooked and nothing spicy or juicy. But the bread was easy to cut and it was totally ok.
