Nestled in the heart of the Australian countryside, Megalong Valley Tea Rooms is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Just a short drive from Blackheath, this charming spot offers both a cozy indoor dining area with a warm fireplace and an inviting outdoor space where you can enjoy your meal while watching sheep graze nearby.
Beautiful, cozy and a great escape to a slow paced area of the blue mountains!! We loved coming here so much, heaps of parking, lots of tables and great food! The scones were huge and were so delicious. Loved the apple pie as well. The views outside were so lovely and so good to sit outside.

Went there with friends. Great Cafe with amazing views and lovely staff. We tried baked eggs and Megalong Valley breakfast. Baked eggs were delicious and Megalong Valley breakfast looked okay. We also tried coffees and scones. Coffees were great and scones were fresh. Overall a great experience. It's definitely worth a visit and will go back again soon.
Haaris A — Google review
Stunning location, excellent food and service, you couldn’t ask for more. My beloved had the apple pie and gave it 2 thumbs up. We had the scones, nice and light and the perfect size. Special mention for the blackberry jam, not too sweet and the fruit flavour shine through, it’s a little thing but shows the love and attention to detail in the food here.
Karina F — Google review
The food and drinks were amazing and the 1956 Apple Pie was to die for! Beautiful setting with plenty of space and great views around the countryside. The staff were friendly and service was fine considering how busy it was. The drive through the Megalong Valley was pretty cool too!
Paul C — Google review
Outback tranquility- the place is located 7km from Blackheath, down and along gum tree forests. You can find a ranch that sells famous scones & apple pies with tea. It’s a great place to relax in nature if you don’t mind the long drives

🌿 A Peaceful Slice of Heaven! 🌿 Megalong Valley Tea Rooms is pure magic. Tucked away in a serene corner of the Blue Mountains, it feels like stepping into another world — quiet, lush, and beautifully removed from the chaos of everyday life. The drive through the valley is breathtaking, and once you arrive, it’s all charm and calm. The garden setting is stunning, with birdsong and mountain views all around. The food is simple, fresh, and lovingly prepared — the kind that makes you slow down and truly savour each bite . The scones? Cloud-like. The tea? Poured by angels. The views? Peaceful, charming, and it feels like time forgot it in the best possible way. Go for the food, stay for the serenity, and leave already plotting your return. Five stars, zero hesitation — just don’t tell too many people, okay?

After a cold day hiking at Blue Mountains, visiting Megalong Valley Tearooms for a bite to eat and some hot tea was just what we needed! The food was delicious and filling, and the sticky chai was very warm and comforting (highly recommend trying it if you haven’t before!) The service was great as well, and we had felt very cared for throughout the entire experience. Would highly recommend, for the cozy atmosphere, good food, and lovely tea!

Food is amazing here. We had the Scone and the Pot Pie and wasn't disappointed. We were there during the weekend which was especially busy but it was managed quite efficiently. Would def come back again.

Nestled on Leura's main street, Red Door Cafe is a beloved spot known for its emphasis on healthy dining. The cafe offers organic coffees, freshly squeezed juices, and a menu featuring zucchini and feta fritters with cumin yogurt, smoked rainbow trout with rocket and lentil salad, topped with a poached egg. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make it an inviting place to enjoy everything from light breakfasts to hearty meals.
Delicious food, and menu has a great variety made with fresh produce. The chicken and leek pie was tasty and comforting to eat. Mash was a little dry but great they served with a side salad. Would come again.

Cosy little place on the main street of Leura Village. The initial visuals bely what waits inside. Food is excellent, with a wide selection, and great serving sizes. Lots of seating, but as it's very popular, bookings would be a wise idea. Great atmosphere, with good background music, and a buzzy vibe from the staff and kitchen. Parking nearby is also difficult, but the walk is worthwhile.
Robert N — Google review
Place is easy to find, difficult to get parking. Booking recommended. The cafe is small with lots of seating inside which makes it feel very crowded. The outside part looked much nicer and inviting. Menu was small but had lots of variety. Staff were friendly but not overly welcoming. Food was average, prices were decent considering the quality. Drinks were nice and came out within 10 mintues of ordering. Would recommend

Love going to cafes like this. bustling. busy. a bit noisy from all the chatter. a bit of clang from the kitchen. a very satisfying atmosphere. especially on a weekend away from home. food was pretty good for the pace at which everything came out. (not a complaint at all). only thing for me. there was tonnes. of chili on the avocado toast. and I'm really picking at scabs here. but would have prefered on side. but the hommus was all-time. the omelete looked good. (side note. saw the porridge. and never thought I would have food envy from porridge. but here we are). coffee on par. thanks for having us Red Door.

Had a fantastic experience at Red Door Café! The food was amazing, coffee spot on, and the service was superb. Huge shoutout to Fiona not sure how she managed to look after everyone all on her own, but she was so attentive and welcoming. Honestly, it was amazing to see. I had my eye on the sticky date pudding, but it felt a little too early in the morning for all that sugar 😉. Can’t wait to come back and try it next time!

Leura Garage is a unique dining spot that used to be an old automotive garage and has now been transformed into a rustic-chic cafe-bar-restaurant. The place boasts industrial car-themed art and original features from its past, adding to its charming decor. Guests can enjoy a variety of dishes such as the highly recommended "French Dip" sandwich for lunch or the 12-hour braised 1.
Amazing! Really impressed with the quality and presentation of each meal. Affordable food serving large portions. Great ambience, clean and well presented. Includes wholesome and delicious vegan friendly options that's not just a 'salad'! 🤦🏽‍♀️ Highly recommend.
Hila — Google review
A rustic looking restaurant with modern Western style menu items. The staff is friendly and accommodating to our big group of 10 people. Recommend to book in advance, especially during weekend as we entered 10 mins before they open and there were already a queue at the front door. We’ve got to try most of the items from their regular and seasonal specials as well. Most dishes were delicious and well presented with generous portions. Coffee is just average. I really like the little details that they have as a decoration piece, such as a meat cutter, bicycle, traditional bell, etc. It came to a total of $450ish for a group of ten (including drinks and coffee) and we were pleasantly happy with the experience.

Sydney trip - Blue Mountains over the weekend: after some hiking, we went for lunch in Leura at @leuragarage. . The food was pretty decent. But the service was super slow. We waited more than 45 minutes for our food from the time of ordering. The table next to us actually just got up and left because their food took too long as well. Also, we noted some tables who ordered after us actually got their food before us 🤷🤷. . Southern Style Chicken Burger: the burger was pretty nice. The chicken was crispy, and the inside was tender. Good flavours. The cole slaw that came with it was a bit bland though. . Pan-seared Barramundi, with walnut jalapeño crust, caramelised pumpkin wedge, tahini lemon dressing: excellent dish! Very tender. Delicious crust 🤤. . Polenta chips: this was superb! Very crunchy 😋. . Broccolini: nicely done. Can't go wrong with this side dish.

I really enjoy this dinner in Blue Mountain tonight! The restaurant cook the lamb amazing good! We selected the Point65 red wine to match our food which is delicious! Specially appreciated their nice service when my friend ask something about the food materials which I don’t think she couldn’t have right answer , but I am wrong! The waiter girl even ask the chef to get the right one, it is awesome service I have to say! 👍
Stephen L — Google review
Good selection of food for individual plates or sharing. Portions are very generous and also super tasty,I had the chicken and my friend had the sausage and both were very fresh and delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and there's seating options both inside and outside. Pretty decent cocktail and wine list. Both the cocktails we had were well made and I'd highly recommend treating yourself.
Sam — Google review
Reservations recommended, even with a 10% weekend surcharge this place gets busy. I love the ice coffee and so did everyone else on my table - everyone drank theirs differently. The shaksuka was a little too watery but the rate was fine - perhaps extra bread would have worked well. We all agreed the stuffed mushrooms with cornbread and baked egg was the best dish.
Karl C — Google review
Visited for a quick afternoon snack with the family. Just had burger, some fries and drinks. Veggie burger was tasty and fries were thin and crispy. Service was reasonably quick too. My only criticism is that the prices are on the high side for a casual, cafe style venue.
Paolo B — Google review
Over priced. $40+ per person. Let alone the 20% public holiday surcharge. Soup is bland. Sausage is average. Only recommendable dish is chicken with artichokes.

Basil Nut Cafe & Restaurant in Katoomba offers a casual dining experience with a variety of South Asian street food, international dishes, and coffee. The restaurant is known for its vegetarian-friendly menu and provides a compact yet comfortable setting for visitors.
It was our first time dining at Basil Nut Cafe & Restaurant. We absolutely loved it. The restaurant has such a cosy and welcoming atmosphere—it genuinely felt like enjoying a home-cooked meal in someone’s beautifully set-up living room. The food was fantastic, with every dish full of flavour and care. The standout for us was definitely the eggplant duck curry—rich, comforting, and perfectly cooked. The staff were also friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back for another visit soon!

Authentic Thai food! One of the best in Blue mountains. Had the soft shell crab for starter with coconut and duck w/ eggplant curry as mains. Must recommend this.
Ronnie H — Google review
Best THAI FOOD I have had in Australia, beats some meals in Bangkok too! My family had such an amazing dinner here, we had to come back few days later for lunch. We really recommend the Chilli Barrumundi, fried to perfection, soft in the middle with a sweet tangy sauce… Every dish has such ‘wok hey’ and delicious seasoning, we can’t recommend this place enough. There’s something seriously wrong with other reviews that didn’t give 5 stars. It’s a quaint family style diner that’s right up our alley. Perfect for a small group! Most importantly it’s HALAL!
Maggie S — Google review
Basil Nut is (in my opinion) the best and most popular Asian restaurant in the blue mountains. The food here was outstanding as always, delicious fried rice, soup, stir fries. We did get our foods at different times, but it doesn't matter too much. Overall, brilliant restaurant definetely recommend

if you’re looking for something good, you’re in the right place. we were just walking around around lunchtime and noticed a lot of people outside, so we got curious about what this thai cafe had to offer. we ended up coming back for dinner, and honestly, it did not disappoint. my brother can be a bit picky with food (we’re asian too), but this really hit the spot. the food was excellent, and the service was great. we’ll definitely be coming back.
Jeskasventures — Google review
We went to Basil Nut for lunch after finishing the Grand Canyon walk and the food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was fresh and full of flavour and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I also tried the Vietnamese cold coffee which was okay but not as impressive as the food. The inside of the restaurant felt a bit too cramped so we decided to sit outside. Unfortunately, the table we got was right near the door and every time it opened a burst of cold wind came through. The floor outside was also a little uneven so the table was slightly inclined which made it less comfortable. It was the only table available at the time so we had to make do. On the positive side, the food really was outstanding, the payment process was quick and easy, and there is some parking available on the main road. We were lucky to find a spot. Overall this is a place I would return to for the food, even though the outdoor seating could be improved.
Dartion N — Google review
Such a cozy Thai restaurant! The food tastes just like home — flavorful, fresh, and perfectly spicy. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic spot for authentic Thai cuisine! The food is absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service is top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who make the dining experience even better. The location is also perfect, adding to the overall charm of the place. The only downside is that it’s a bit on the pricey side, but considering the portion sizes and quality, it’s understandable. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving great Thai food!

Located in the charming Art Deco area of Blackheath, Anonymous Bar and Cafe is a must-visit spot on your way to attractions like the Botanic Gardens and Jenolan Caves. The cafe offers meticulously crafted coffee by attentive baristas, along with a menu featuring seasonal local delicacies and delectable sweet treats. It's also recommended for its cozy ambiance and brekkie bar where you can enjoy dishes like the popular breakfast burrito.
It was very busy when we went there over the Christmas period but the service was still friendly and the brioche French Toast was delectable. It was served with a poached pear, candied orange, roasted almonds and fog syrup. The coffee was okay- I had a soy latte with slightly lumpy soy milk but my friend who ordered normal (diary) milk didn’t have the same “lumpiness” problem. All in all a great experience.
Katrin P — Google review
We discovered this place while on the road, he loved the brekkie burrito so we came back. Cute little nook dining, we chose to sit at the brekkie bar, great for people watching. Breakfast burrito with braised beans, black rice, grilled corn and chickpeas, tomato coriander salsa, sour cream and a fried egg. $15.5
Peta P — Google review
Known for their well-made Campos coffee, Anonymous is a little Blackheath café that began back in 2012. In 2016, the team expanded to a second venue, Synonymous, located in nearby Medlow Bath just a short walk from the famous Hydro Majestic Hotel. With an emphasis on using locally grown, seasonal produce, and making their own bread, pickles and relishes, both venues represent good spots to break a journey across the Blue Mountains if you like eating honest, tasty food. The interior at Anonymous is modest and functional. Shelves constructed with repurposed wood are lined with colourful pickle jars, illustrating their make-everything-in-house ethos. The items inside these jars are put to excellent effect on the Anonymous Mixed Plate ($20), which comes with three different condiments – a beetroot relish, a fig condiment that's perfect for cheese, and a lovely mixed curry pickle that’s sour and compelling. Consume them with three different meats – thick slices of house-corned beef, a whirl of prosciutto and carved leg ham. You'll also find three cheeses - a farmhouse Cheddar, a creamy, tangy blue cheese and a slightly less exciting brie. The plate is rounded out by a beetroot-cured boiled egg, springy mixed leaves, lightly pickled julienned carrot, a mound of pickled cucumber slices, and lightly toasted, buttered fig and caraway soda bread. It’s a wonderful lunch grazing plate that showcases great produce for a reasonable price, with more food on it than I could eat. Using the same palate of ingredients – the key to a successful, small café menu – the Reuben Toastie ($18.50) takes the slow-cooked corned beef, creamy American cheddar and pickles, and teams them with cabbage ‘slaw and Dijon mustard. The well-balanced mix is sandwiched between thick slices of toasted organic sourdough, and presented with more of those nicely dressed, springy mixed leaves. The serve is generous, and the price reflects the time and labour that goes into making so many of the ingredients in-house. We washed our meal down with Bulla Booch Kombucha ($5.50) flavoured with black tea and a hint of mango. It’s locally fermented in Bullburra, in small batches to ensure each (fully recyclable) bottle is perfect. The simple, old-fashioned frothy Vanilla Milkshake ($6.50) also proved a winner - both are great ways to refresh and refuel before hitting the road ahead.
Jackie M — Google review
A really nice cosy bar. The owner is a delight, readily available for a chat, to explain what the produce is, where it comes from etc. The food is plentiful, fresh, tasty and absolute top notch. Highly recommended and will certainly be back. Do try the charcuterie board. Well worth it.
Robert L — Google review
Absolutely deserves the high rating this place has. My mother and me had a fantastic lunch here. I had the beetroot burger and my mom had the special. Both fantastic. Would absolutely recommend when someone is traveling through blue mountains or staying in the area.
Ian R — Google review
This is a cosy small bar with a wonderful selection of natural wines from PnV wine merchants, beer from Mountain Culture Beer Co and mocktails. Take a seat by the window for some people watching, or maybe sit at the back to admire the liquor selection and wall of portraits. Pared back interiors and a selection of food that I hope to try on my next visit. Staff are friendly and happy to advise. If you're after a tipple before or after dinner, or looking to catch up over a drink, this is it. Support your local! Cheers!

Love this cafe - this was the second time we have stopped here while travelling. They have a nice menu and a good vegetarian selection. Coffee is great too. We had the french toast and soda bread last time, this time coffee and croissants. YUM!

Bygone Beautys Treasured Teapot Museum & Tearooms is a unique cultural experience located in Leura, offering a fascinating collection of over 5,500 rare and classic teapots from around the world. Visitors can explore the museum and then enjoy delicious Devonshire tea in the tearooms. The museum also features a gift shop for souvenirs.
An intriguing collection of such a wide variety of teapots, as well as fine china displayed throughout the different rooms make this a unique experience. The High Tea was both delicious and freshly made on the premises. No need to ask for a top up of tea as each person's is served in a large silver tea pot. Our High Tea was served in nice quiet room filled with pots and porcelain and allowed us not only a space to enjoy our fine fare, but also to have a quiet conversation. The service was excellent with the staff keen to answer any of your questions. The museum was very interesting too. Off-Street parking is also available here. Highly recommended.
Greg W — Google review
Stopped for tea and scones during the busy Leura festival. It was an interesting place with so many teapots, scones were good, but best thing about it was the wonderful service. All staff were lovely, in particular young man Jason. Thoughtful, accommodating and kind. Nothing too much trouble either for us or others. Place is lucky to have staff like that.
Naomi D — Google review
A local friend was keen to take us (two English tourists) for the Devonshire cream tea after a trip to the Blue Mountain lookouts so we dropped in on a quiet Monday afternoon. The set up is quirky and unashamedly old fashioned. They are going full on for the traditional look and we really felt we had stepped back in time. There are tea pots everywhere- I couldn’t begin to guess how many and we played a quick game of pick one that suits each other. The service from Zac was great- he told us it was his second day and he was a little nervous but absolutely charming and full of smiles. The house tea blend was excellent and we enjoyed the sandwiches and cream tea. All in an unusual but very enjoyable stop off.
Daniel B — Google review
It’s so cute and whimsical inside. Come here for the museum not the food. Tea was good but $6 per small teapot. Food was extremely disappointing. I ordered the soup of the day and was surprised when they gave me different options. Which gave me the inkling that their “soup of the day” isn’t fresh. My husband ordered a sandwich very small serving and lacking in flavor. Looks like there’s no love given to the food. Service was very slow, there were plenty of empty seats but we had to wait 15-30 minutes to get our order taken. We were patient and happy to wait, but the food quality was such a disappointment.
Lianne — Google review
Loved loved loved the scones! The tea wasn’t fantastic BUT the scones made up for it! Edit: we ordered the house tea and scone set. it might have just been one of those days, I would still truly recommend and would definetely revisit again and again
Siti R — Google review
We visited your tearoom, which is presented as a tea museum, expecting a pleasant and quality experience. Unfortunately, our visit was very disappointing. When we asked to be seated outside, we were told there were no available tables, even though all the outdoor tables were visibly empty. Later, when we tried to order food, the menu stated that the kitchen closes at 4:00 pm, but at 3:40 pm we were told that no more kitchen orders were allowed. We ordered a chai tea expecting loose leaf tea, but it was served as a poor-quality powdered mix. When we politely asked to change it, our request was refused, and the staff even checked the invoice to charge us extra for the replacement — despite the drink not being as described or up to standard. This experience was very disappointing considering the reputation and concept of the place. We hope you take this feedback seriously to improve service consistency, product quality, and customer experience.
Carla Á — Google review
Came with my partner today and had the most incredible service. I was served by kyah or kya and she made our trip memorable. The food was flavourful and worth the price and the hot chocolate she made was one of the best. We had a great conversation and were recommended some beautiful lookouts and took great care of us. The whole experience was wonderful and will definitely recommend this place to my friends. P.S the collection was just spectacular!!!!

I have visited Leura many times, usually sticking to the main street. Today, we decided to take a different road and stumbled upon this lovely cozy little treasure. We immediately fell in love, spending roughly around two hours walking around and chatting with the charming Jason. He alone was the highlight of my entire day, such a sweetheart, and it was amazing listening to him talk to other customers about the antiques. He knows his stuff! I will definitely be going back!

Nestled in the charming Wentworth Falls, Fed Blue Mountains is a beloved cafe known for its comforting atmosphere and delectable offerings. The cafe's long-standing reputation is well-deserved, with locals praising its generous and delicious food, delightful pastries, and warm hospitality. Visitors can expect a cozy and rustic ambiance as they indulge in locally sourced delights, from hearty breakfast options to mouth-watering pastries.
I have never had coffee served so quickly before - it’s almost like they knew you were coming. Coffee is terrific and the service is excellent. Breakfasts were great and served in a clean environment with a good atmosphere. We were in Wentworth Falls for three days. Usually I like to try different cafes, but having found this one on day one I don’t want to be disappointed with other cafes close by - if you find something you like, stick with it. Would definitely recommend.

Great little establishment with superb upstairs and downstairs dining. Thoughtfully decorated in comfortable yet 'on trend' atmosphere. Closes each day 3.00 unfortunately but you've gotta remember, Wentworth Falls is no thriving metropolis! Food is freshly made & coffee is outstanding. I had the salmon cake with rocket salad. Yumbo! Well priced, beautifully clean in all areas and a wealth of almost everything to choose from. Make it A MUST to visit & sit upstairs on the enclosed verandah.

🌿 The Fed, Wentworth Falls We stopped by for breakfast and it was such a great choice! ☕🍳 We had The Stack (white sourdough topped with avocado, hash brown, bacon, haloumi & a fried egg surrounded by their signature ‘Fed’ tomato salsa) and scrambled eggs with avocado & mushrooms — a gluten-free option for me 🌾✨ Everything was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. 💛 Definitely a great spot to start your morning if you’re around Wentworth Falls! 🏞️

Really like this small cafe. Lots of GF options both savory and sweet. Coffee was very good however the decaf was very weak and required and extra shot. We sat downstairs in the doorway which was very breezy and cold but discovered that there's a whole big area upstairs which looked really nice and would have been more comfortable.

We were really disappointed with our recent trip to Fed. This wasn't our first time, and while the service was better on our last visit, the food was just as average, and this time the service was honestly frustrating. At the time of our visit the place wasn't busy, and there were several staff members working behind the counter. Our server was young but seemed completely out of their depth. It really feels like the younger staff haven't been properly trained, she couldn't answer our basic questions and I felt bad for her but also frustrated as the service started rough. The water glasses were placed face down on the dirty outside table. My partner ordered the vegan rice ball that comes with a choice of chips or salad. When they asked for the salad option, the server said there was no vegan salad available. Why list 'salad' as an option for a vegan dish then? When the rice ball arrived, they were given a non-vegan dipping sauce on the side with tomato sauce. Honestly, given how confused the server already was, we didn't even bother pointing it out or asking to swap it, it felt pointless. My meal was also disappointing. I had a chicken pie which was quite dry and underwhelming. This just adds to a previous experience I had where the Thai meatball ordered was excessively salty. It seems the food is consistently average at best. When I went inside to pay, there was a ready-made vegan salad in the display fridge. When I questioned why it couldn't be served as a side, I was told it was "takeaway only"... It makes zero sense to have a vegan salad ready to go but refuse to serve it as a side for a vegan dish that literally offers a salad option? Additionally, a simple, fresh garden salad is so cheap and easy to make (and usually the ONLY option available for vegans, the irony...) making this whole situation completely bizarre. The fresh apple juice was the only redeeming factor of the entire meal. Overall, the combination of confused, untrained service and consistently average food makes it very hard to recommend. We won't be going back.

Located in Leura Mall, The Bunker is a family-friendly restaurant that offers a dedicated kids menu and activities to keep young minds engaged. From breakfast to dinner, this eatery serves up cafe classics and cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere. With lovely mountain views, it's an ideal spot for a family lunch or special event in the Blue Mountains. Whether you're looking for a quick snack or a leisurely meal, The Bunker provides delicious food and great service.
During our tour of the Blue Mountains, we had lunch at The Bunker, a lovely restaurant with a nice atmosphere and a beautiful garden. The food was delicious—we tried the chicken schnitzel and pan-fried barramundi, both of which were fresh and tasty. The food arrived quickly, and the service was great. The restaurant was clean, including the toilets. If you visit during spring, you can also enjoy the cherry blossoms along the road just below the restaurant. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience!

We accidentally booked the wrong date and didn’t realize until we got there, but they accommodated us and found us a spot. There’s colouring activities for the kids which was nice, and blankets provided for when it’s windy or cold on the verandah. There’s also heaters around on the chilly days. Food was great, the ribs soft and tender and the kids loved the cheesy garlic bread. The outdoor tables were not open as it was too windy outside.

Nice restaurant for lunch! Huge garden with outdoor seating area. There’s also car parking available in front of the restaurant. Booking might be needed but we were lucky on a Friday afternoon with walk ins. Portion isn’t super huge though.

This is a beautiful place. From the warm welcome on arrival to the outdoor setting it's stunning. The views form the outdoor patio are gorgeous and all of the staff members are consistently kind and friendly. The menu is great with so many options for different allergens. I had the lamb ribs and chips and my eyeballs nearly popped out of my head when I saw the size of the portion of chips it could feed an army. The lamb was beautifully done and so so tasty. I can tell they put a lot of effort and care into everything they do from the food prep to the way they take your order, help you with the menu and serve your food with a genuine smile. I was very comfortable here thank you so much! I hope to be back for lunch to try the chicken schnitzel I've read such great reviews about! I'm back to update my review because I've had the chicken schnitzel now and so stuffed and so happy! This is my new happy place. The staff were delightful again and made sure I got in before catering for an event. The portion was massive which was great as I was starving for some meat after leaving a vegan retreat 😅 I can't speak highly enough about this place and the happiness of the staff is just so lovely to experience. The views are gorgeous and I could see the Blue Mountains from where I was sitting. Full on 5 stars for this place for the consistency of quality service and food!

It was Saturday afternoon, I ask my lovely friend Robin to meet me at The Bunker for lunch . It was fully packed, but we waited maybe 15 min to be seated. It’s probably the best to book the table on the weekend. The weather was lovely and the customer service very friendly . I ask for a wrap and sweet potato chips. It was really tasty and fresh. My husband had a poker bowl and he liked it too. Was a bit different than the usual one . I attached photos of our food. We had a very nice afternoon filled with laughter and humour. The Bunker itself is a very old building full of history and beauty itself with a great view of the blue mountains 👍😊

We came in for a late afternoon snack and a drink at the bar after. We had a few interactions with a lovely lady who seemed to be a manger. She was so warm and friendly and it seems she truly enjoys ensuring that the customers experience is the best it can be. The sweet potato fries were great, huge portion so great for sharing and The Sailor Jerry and Tiramisu Espresso cocktails were flavourful and of high quality. The only downside was the ladies bathroom which was overflowing with paper towels and needing toilet paper replenished. Would still return for a proper meal here one day as the food looked great.

Bunker Cafe in Leura offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for cold winter days with its charming fireplace. The menu is delightful, starting with the nice garlic bread that sets a great tone for the meal. The crispy sweet potato fries are a highlight, providing a satisfying crunch and flavor. The Portuguese chicken burger is delicious and well-seasoned, making for a hearty and enjoyable dish. Additionally, the hummus with pita bread is fresh and tasty, offering a light yet flavorful option. The combination of a warm ambiance and quality food makes Bunker Cafe a must-visit spot in Leura for a comforting and satisfying dining experience.

Cassiopeia Coffee in Katoomba offers two espresso bars, one on Lurline Street and the other on Megalong Street. The focus here is primarily on coffee, with limited food options such as toast, banana bread, and pastries. The history of the establishment dates back to its time as a guesthouse named Katoomba Coffee Palace before evolving into Royal Coffee Palace under new ownership.
Stopped here after our hike in the Blue Mountains. Service was nice and quick and the drinks were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the cinnamon on the matcha latte.

A nice small cafe towards the edge of Katoomba town centre. Seating is limited. I arrived in the morning for breakfast around 8am and all the tables were occupied. Have to wait a while to get a seat. Coffee was pretty good. Bought another 2 packs of roasted beans from them. Ordered something that is like banana cake. It was tasty, the outside have a bit of caramelised crunch while inside is still warm and loose.

Cool vibes, easy parking (right across from Katoomba RSL), and seriously good coffee. Double espresso (India) and filter (Burundi) hit the spot, and the oat latte impressed too. Indoors is nice, but nothing beats that sunshine outside!

Really disappointed with the extremely rude staff member this morning. The young lady working taking orders needs to be mindful of her behaviour towards customers. Customer service is her "area of responsibility" and her behaviour towards customers has a lasting impact on the 'brand'. I will now be avoiding this business and looking elsewhere for my morning coffee. It's a shame as I loved the fact this is a locally owned and run business. The owners need to be more aware of the attitude some team members have.

Despite the high rating we were disappointed. The pastries were on open shelves with flys settling on them. The pastry we chose was not particularly sweet or tasty. The coffee was quite cool despite requesting it be extra hot.

Sorensen's Glasshouse and Gardens is a picturesque cafe and nursery located in Leura, surrounded by stunning gardens established by landscape gardener Paul Sorensen. The glass-walled building offers breathtaking views of the lush greenery outside, creating an idyllic spot to enjoy breakfast or lunch while browsing local wares for sale. Whether you're sipping coffee amidst spring wildflowers or rich autumn foliage, the ambiance is truly amazing.
First time trying Sorensen’s Glasshouse and all I can say is I’ll definitely be coming back! It can get busy so book in advance however we were lucky to get a table inside without a booking. My partner and I went for breakfast and both got the Belgian Caramel Waffles. They were absolutely delicious and not overly sweet. The service was great, staff were welcoming and took our order straight away. Coffees came out and food followed shortly after. The glasshouse is tucked away, nestled in the trees. It has the best atmosphere, with little blankets provided if you get cold. The outside tables are also pet friendly. We had a great experience and I can’t fault this place one bit!

Absolutely magical place! We took our two young children on a perfect winter’s afternoon for a late lunch. They accommodated us at late notice upon leaving scenic world. Staff were helpful, kind, and attentive. Even generously moved our table outside when we realized how gorgeous it was. Don’t miss sitting outside. Such a treat. All the food was delicious- we had the green bowl, special of the day quiche (superb and so fresh) and the kids had various sides and things from the kids menu. The highlight was the scones- not to be missed. Children loved playing in the garden. Food served very quickly despite being really busy. Do book ahead if you can!

We feel the care as always What remarkable about this restaurant is one day when my husband and I couldn’t get our motorcycle worked. It was late, rain and we had to go back to Sydney. The owner came to help us to get the part to fix our motorcycle. Turned out he is a pilot and our son is studying in aviation to be a pilot. He asked to send email to him if we need a help Such a beautiful soul he is hence why his business and his team are beautiful people and a beautiful place to be This is our favourite place to be Thank you for creating a beautiful place, you all are awesome ❤️

Went here with my boyfriend on the last day of our weekend getaway and it was so perfect. Definitely a popular spot as it was completely filled up inside, but outdoor seating was also gorgeous if not more so! The food was delicious (and great coffees) with really nice staff too. Bowery is a charming and unique dining spot located in a converted church, offering an atmospheric and vibrant setting for visitors. The spacious dining area features stunning decor with interesting artworks and collectibles, creating a captivating ambiance. The modern menu emphasizes sharing dishes and includes a variety of options, with a focus on vegetarian fare such as the fabulous cauliflower dish. Guests can enjoy their meals indoors or dine al fresco in the leafy courtyard, which is also dog-friendly.
This restaurant is, by far, one of my favourites in Katoomba. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and time at The Bowery. Highlights were: - The restaurant is in what was previously a church. With that, the high ceilings and tasteful decor with great reuse of the pews for some of the seats. All of it gives a contemporary grandeur feel to the place. - The wait staff were very welcoming, friendly and patient. They were all smiles during the time I was there. They were also attentive to the guests and love the fact that they were also very pleasantly engaging. - The coffee was decent and a large sized coffee truly did feel large. This was a really nice welcome as a lot of other cafes i have been to do not usually have large sized coffees like how these guys have made it. More importantly, the coffee tasted good hot and even when it cooled down. - Between the chicken rendang benedict and pulled osso bucco, my favourite is on the chicken rendang. It was a really good fusion between Southeast Asian & American flavours. The rendang is more reminiscent of indonesian rendang flavours. For folks who are familiar with Southeast Asian flavours, they may find it on the lighter side the seasoning. Nevertheless, I personally felt it was a good balance of the hollandaise sauce and the rendang seasoning. - The pulled osso bucco was paired well with fresh salad and pickles. Some of the pickles can be pretty tart for those who are not used to it. In some ways I could understand the pairing as it cut through the grease from the meat. One thing I did kind of wish was part of the dish was a portion of the marrow as it was what I associated with osso bucco. All in all, an extremely pleasant dining experience in a very lovely venue. A place that is on my to go back again in the future.

“Lamb shank is our 2nd most popular dish, after the Nasi Goreng - who would have ever thought - we put it on the menu for a joke”! So quipped our hilarious waiter, wearing board shorts and a Hawaiian shirt, while outside it was puffer jackets and woolly hats! In some ways, it summed up our evening. Excellent food, a genuine and personable service, and a warm and homely atmosphere in the renovated church. The lighting, furniture and ambience left you with a warm glow. The lamb shank was amazing by the way - the best I’ve ever eaten? Most likely. You’ll enjoy the lovely menu, friendly service and a few nice drinks. We’ll be back. A great place for a romantic evening out or a fun evening with friends and family.

A wonderful set up in an old church. Great decor. We ate on a reasonably quiet Monday night, but the atmosphere was still lovely. I imagine the nights with live music are fantastic. What a wonderful evening spent at the Bowery by myself and two granddaughters. Food was absolutely wonderful….the girls can recommend the doughnut fries…., but the atmosphere was what truly made this a lovely evening. Yellow Deli is a charming deli that offers a variety of sandwiches, salads, and breakfast options. It also has a juice bar serving up smoothies and other refreshing drinks. The venue is known for its iconic stone fireplace, stained-glass windows, and log cabin furnishings, creating a cozy atmosphere for enjoying their delicious food. Whether you're looking for picnic supplies for a hike or a hearty meal in a unique setting reminiscent of The Hobbit, Yellow Deli has something to offer.
A sublimely unique and wonderful place. Clean and calm with an exquisite rustic warm, natural timber decor and cosy wood fire, perfect for winter days. Lots of jarrah nooks for 1ppl to small groups. Ordered the Reuben which comes steaming hot. All ingredients are clean, fresh, full of flavour and complimentary in balance. Plus the Carrot cake which was divine. Beautifully rich, fresh and moist. Generous size and wonderfully fragrant with festive spices and thick creamy topping. Staff are polite and respectful. Everywhere you look you see more beautiful artistic decor (note little honey bee painting on timber). I love visiting this place whenever I visit the Blue Mountains. Not to be missed.

🍞✨ A Magical Hobbit Hole with Heart & The Best Sandwich Ever! From the moment I stepped into Yellow Deli, I felt like I’d wandered into a storybook—maybe even the Shire! 🧙♂️🍃 The charm is unreal: wooden beams, cozy nooks, soft lighting, and handcrafted details everywhere. I couldn’t stop taking photos! What makes this place even more special is the beautiful story behind it: Yellow Deli is run by a loving local community right here in Katoomba. You can feel the warmth and intention in everything they do—even the menu includes thoughtful Bible verses, which added such a peaceful and uplifting touch to our meal. 📖✨ The staff were unbelievably kind and patient—even when our group caused a little chaos by switching seats multiple times. 😅 They smiled through it all! Yes, the food took a bit longer than expected (I thought, “It’s just a sandwich, right?”)… but oh, was it worth the wait! The Brioche Beef Sandwich was honestly THE BEST SANDWICH I’ve ever eaten. Tender beef, soft brioche, perfect seasoning—pure heaven between two slices. 🥪💛 A truly magical experience from entrance to last bite. Can’t wait to return—with more friends (and more patience 😉). Highly recommend!

The food is homemade and delicious. The staff was very friendly. We really liked the unique tables inside. We would definitely go again. I loved the salad dressing on the garden salad. The melted cheese sandwich was on a butter flaky croissant. The roast beef was very good but didn't taste like a roast beef. Friendly and helpful.

The yellow deli restaurant and bakery shop is located near the Katoomba station and three sisters of blue mountain. The Yellow Deli chose its name because yellow symbolizes light, hope, and new beginnings. Yellow is the most luminous color, often associated with sunshine, happiness, and creativity. Drawing from the biblical story of creation—where light was the first solution to darkness—the founders see yellow as the color of that divine light. In 1973, amid societal struggles, they opened the first Yellow Deli in Chattanooga, Tennessee, as a beacon of hope and community. Rather than curse the darkness, they chose to “paint some yellow” and create a welcoming space. The Yellow Deli isn't just a restaurant—it's a response to the world's troubles, offering warmth, light, and a sense of purpose. A Vision for Community and Restoration In 1972, a group of passionate believers envisioned a welcoming space where people could find refuge, ask questions, and reflect on life’s deeper meaning. Inspired by Galatians 5:22 and the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, and more, they created the Yellow Deli, which opened in Chattanooga in 1973. Their motto: “We serve the fruit of the Spirit. Why not ask?” More Than a Deli—A Way of Life The Yellow Deli became a place of warmth and connection, not driven by marketing but by a desire to bring light and healing to their neighborhood. Over time, it expanded globally, supported by a communal lifestyle where members live and work together, echoing the early church described in Acts 2 and 4. ✝️ Living the First-Century Church Today They strive to emulate the unity and shared life of the original disciples, believing that communal living is not a relic of the past but a model for today’s believers. Their goal is to restore the spirit of togetherness and purpose that marked the early followers of Jesus.

Food so wholesome and flavourful, the decor is unique and quite an escape from the everyday grind with wistful folk music playing. Pumpkin soup with an artisan roll was just right for our appetite, we had the famous green drink and then cream cheese pie and carrot cake for dessert which could be easily shared if not too hungry.

Best cafe I've ever walked into and had the pleasure of being served food at. When you walk in, you are hit with an amazing aroma and light music which combined with the countryside, western natural style of the cafe, it feels like your taken back to simplier times. I had "The Green Drink" which was a fantastic drink (and i'm sure very healthy with all the fruits and vitamins that was in it). I also had The Bristol Fillet Sandwich, with the tomatoes being elegant, the sauce being on point and the salmon being perfectly cooked. I was served by Shoma, fantastic guy, as well as being friendly and welcoming. Although I am certain that all of the staff members are equally great. 5/5 stars hands down.

We ordered the calamari, garlic cob loaf, and lasagna. Everything was super tasty. The calamari was a standout with a delicious, salty, and crispy coating. The cob loaf was soft and fresh. The lasagna was yummy and flavourful, though we did think the portion could’ve been a little bigger for the price. The service was also excellent, especially from the blonde waitress with the cool tattoos. She was friendly, attentive, and really added to the experience. Would definitely come back!

This place looks closed at first but usually is open till evening. It's mostly a bar with great food options. The food was great, everything was delicious including the chips, we took all the chicken dishes and they were amazing compliments to the chef. The service was fair I would say as we had to ask them for everything and the response was cold. But everything else was great, the atmosphere was quite and ambient and the food was memorable I would say worth the price. Great job.

Leura Gourmet, located at 159 Leura Mall, is a must-visit cafe and deli in Leura. The establishment offers a wide range of tempting treats such as smoothies, juices, coffee, salads, sandwiches, pasta dishes, and sugar-dusted cannoli. Additionally, visitors can shop for beautiful condiments and pickles to elevate their pantry or gather provisions for a picnic in the nearby national park.
The Leura must-visit shop in my pocket list !! If you go to blue mountain, you have to stop Leura, then this coffee shop. But, they are famous and always having people queing. For me, it's worthy. UNDESERVED TREATMENT Visited yesterday with my friends who hosted our AU visit. On the way to the place they spoke about how good their "dine with a view" experience was. And yet ours wasn't and in fact exactly the opposite experience. FOOD - we patiently waited in the queue and while standing there, we saw how the food were prepped. the kitchen staff were not wearing any gloves and wiped their hands using their dirty-looking apron from time-to-time. We had second thoughts but we have already queued long enough so we pushed through in hopes that somehow it is sanitized. SERVICE - among all the staff, only 1 person was nice and accommodating, the rest were all rude. Levy, Cham, Ollie were unhelpful, they would attend to you in a very unhappy manner. It was already too late when we've read reviews about how discriminatory the staff were for Asian customers. Sadly, we have experienced this firsthand. ATMOSPHERE - it wasn't cozy, it wasn't welcoming. It is discriminatory, it is biased and it is undeserved. To the Management of Leura Gourmet - please pay attention to the voice of your customers and speak to your staff. We all deserve to get our money's worth.

Best Lamb Shank ! We went to check on this #1 popular spot in Leura. We had to wait in a queue for lunch. The lamb shanks were fabulous : so tender & tasty, and eggplant Parmesano was good, but the shrimp pasta was little dry- perhaps because of reheating? The ambience was great well blended into the Leura’s little village your town. Service was little slow with little coordination, but a big thumbs up for the Italian chef 👍

The Leura Gourmet Cafe and Deli is a terrific place to drop in and have a morning tea, lunch or to even takeaway some of the delicious food on offer. We had a lovely morning tea at the cafe, and purchased subsequent ‘home cooked’ and delicious food items to eat at our accomodation. We just loved the zucchini slice and lasagne. Service was excellent. Staff were friendly and more than happy to serve. The large windows at the rear of the cafe provide a brilliant view of the valley and across to Katoomba. Its popularity was obvious, as there were always locals and visitors alike in the dining area. Try it. You will not be disappointed.

Had a wonderful lunch with a friend in this very busy restaurant with a lively atmosphere and amazing food. I highly recommend it but be prepared to have a 10 to 15 minute wait to get a table. That’s a good sign!

Hidden Gem of the Blue Mountains. I have been coming here for years and always come back to Leura Gourmet. While it can get very busy and sometimes loud. Waiting for a table is nothing compared to the service and food received. The service has been nothing but exemplary, very friendly and consistent each time I come.

Went there for a meal . Fantastic food. 9/10 Good atmosphere. 8/10 Reasonable price. 9/ 10 Service 7/10 Reading another review about discrimination against Asian ! We felt that too ! The gentleman who served us food was great but the waitress were not so .
Joie L — Google review
Our experience was disappointing due to the service. While the location is beautiful but the attitude of the waiter (Oli) & waitresses (Levi & Cham) left a very negative impression. They were noticeably rude and dismissive from the moment we arrived, and it felt like we were being treated differently compared to other customers. The tone, body language, and lack of basic courtesy made us feel unwelcome. Sadly, the behaviour came across as RACIALLY biased, which was deeply upsetting and unacceptable in any setting—especially in a hospitality environment. It is discouraging that a potentially good dining experience is overshadowed by poor service. I hope the management takes feedback like this seriously and provides proper training to ensure every customer is treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their background.

Lily's Pad Cafe is a small, quaint cafe in Leura with great food and service. The menu features all-day breakfast and lunch as well as housemade breads and cakes. There are also highchairs available, wheelchair access, and table service.
Very friendly and attentive staff. We ordered different lunch dishes and coffees and they were all excellently prepared and tasted delicious. We were very happy to spend an afternoon there until 3pm.

Came here 5 years ago and was excited to return but the execution of their brunch menu has dropped. Firstly the flat white was bitter and milk was not frothed well - there were huge bubbles all over the surface We ordered the exotic mushrooms and Reuben rosti. Both were disappointing to be frank. Neither were well seasoned and both were quite dry. The Reuben was very dry and hard to cut into. An accompanying sauce/gravy would have been helpful to mask the dryness (I had to use the self serve sauce to enhance the dish!). The mushrooms could have used more butter to bring out the suppleness in mushrooms. The price point is too high for how it tasted. Interesting menu and has a lot of potential to have been a delightful brekkie.

Atmosphere: The cafe has a nice ambience, and the seats were arranged in a way that still gave good distance from the next table. Food: The corned beef was one of the two items on the menu that was a recommendation by the operator/ head wait staff/ manager. Whilst it didn't have any sauce, it was still tasty and went pretty well with the hash. I liked it. Unfortunately, I couldn't say the same about the exotic mushroom breakfast. The herbs and garlic used to season the mushrooms were so burnt that it left an extremely bitter taste on the mushrooms. The fried enoki mushroom was also over-fried , and it totally changed the flavour profile that wasn't pleasant to the taste buds. We were offered a replacement meal on the house (see more below on my write-up on service for more details). Even though we requested for everything to be made fresh, we suspect they did reuse some of the mushrooms again from the first plate as they still had some burnt herbs and garlic in the second plate. Whilst it was better the second time around, we still had to spend time trying to flick off the very burnt herbs and garlic. We could see they attempted to add in new herbs and garlic. Coffee: It was not too bad but a little surprise that they didn't have coffee art. Service: It was a mixed experience. Some of the wait staff were not very experienced. When we brought to the attention of one of the younger waitresses of the burnt garlic, she claimed that was just a type of mushroom. The service was only salvaged by whom I believe may have been the operator/ head wait staff/ manager. Unfortunately didnt catch her name, but she took the time to listen to what we were trying to express and made the offer to replace the dish on the house. It was very commendable of her. Though disappointed by the kitchen staff. Given the hit and miss with the food + mixed service experience, it would take an uplift of the food quality for us to return.

Very good cafe. The service was slow, despite us being one of the only tables present when the cafe first opened. The food was delicious, coffee was great and the staff were lovely. An overwhelming amount of coeliac safe gluten free options, which looked/sounded amazing. Recommend - would have got 5 stars if the wait wasn’t as long.

We ordered eggs Benedict and it’s the smallest portion we had. They also used the tiniest eggs. It was served on a small croffle. Looks very stingy for the price they charge. I had to zoom in the photo coz it’s too small. We left hungry.

Pomegranate Cafe is a popular breakfast spot located on the main street, known for its amazing cupcakes and delicious offerings from Hominy Organic Bakery. Despite being busy, it's highly recommended by locals and visitors alike. The boutique menu offers upper-class dishes like mouth-watering baked eggs with chorizo and cannellini beans, as well as perfectly made scrambled eggs served with high-quality toast and blanched spinach. The cafe also serves delightful pomegranate tea in generous portions.
I recently had the Big Breakfast at Pomegranate in the Blue Mountains, and it was absolutely fantastic. Every element on the plate was fresh, well-cooked, and full of flavor. You can tell a lot of care and quality goes into their food. The portion size was generous without feeling overwhelming, and everything was beautifully presented. It truly set a wonderful tone for the rest of the day. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area — I’ll definitely be back!

Cute cafe vibes, was a random find on our way to Rydal and it didn't disappoint. I am not a corn fritter fan in general but this place has converted me. My partner ordered the corn fritters and I basically ended up with his plate, that's how much I loved it!! It didn't have too much batter, plenty of corn and it was fried to perfection! Delightfully light and crispy on the outside and fluffy and steamy on the inside, with the sweet chili sauce and sour cream - fantastic combination. Such a simple meal executed beautifully!

Food was bad but service even worse!! Start from food first, we’ve ordered Smoked Salmon Egg Benedict and the salmon had a fishy smell :(. The other dish was Bacon & Eggs, it was ok, just bacon and eggs on the sourdough. A bit overpriced for the food we’ve got. Coffee was not good either, there’re plenty of good coffee here but not at this place. Service was awful, we ordered a Macchiato and want to change to oat milk. We didn’t know it is a small cup of coffee with a tiny bit of milk on top. They charged us $1 for that small amount of milk. I feel like the waitress should’ve told us that it just a tiny cup of coffee with small amount of milk on top (probably just a milk foam), I feel like I got ripped off. Also the staff their was not friendly at all and work like they didn’t want to do it.

Pomegranate cafe was our breakfast stop before heading towards the blue mountains and it was a definite good choice. Atmosphere: This cafe had cosy warm vibes which is perfect to start your day with. Food: Besides from coffee we had fulfilling breakfast of "Big breakkie", "Magic mushroom" and "French toast". All the options had good quantity and especially the french toast was an absolute pleasure, 10/10 would recommend. Service: The staff were warm and smiley, especially in the winters the warm welcome is quite helpful. Final Verdict: If you're in Katoomba and want to a good meal do visit this place!

I’ve just moved to the area, looking for a good morning coffee spot and I came in to order an Almond Latte. I placed my order and sat outside. I got the impression from the lady who took my order that my having just a coffee here by myself at a table was an inconvenience, as a small order taking up a table. Coffee arrived and the waiter didn’t announce it as an almond latte which I thought odd. That’s because it wasn’t Almond, it was dairy milk. A huge intolerance for me. After one sip I realised this and took the coffee back inside to the barista who was apologetic. I went back out to my table to wait for the almond latte re make and of course, here comes the staff with the square machine to take my $1 extra for the almond milk she didn’t charge me. So, you’ve stuffed up my order, served an intolerance ingredient to your unsuspecting customer and now, rather than be super apologetic and waive the extra fee as a sign of good faith, here you are not budging. I expressed that I didn’t feel it right and this was not received well. So I asked for a refund and stated I wouldn’t be back. A customer lost over their mistake and stubborn need for that extra buck. I walked directly across the road and enjoyed a coffee elsewhere. Do better!

Nestled in the Blue Mountains, Blue Mist Cafe is a delightful hybrid bookshop-cafe that offers a charming and cozy atmosphere for visitors. The cafe boasts an upstairs bookstore where patrons can relax with a warm cup of coffee or tea while getting lost in a good read. The friendly staff sets the tone for an enjoyable experience, and the menu features delicious dishes bursting with flavor. With its warm ambiance and exceptional food, it's considered one of the best cafes in the area.
Popped in here 'on spec', looking for a bite to eat after doing some hiking nearby. Warm welcome, even though closing time wasn't far away. Great range of menu choices, including a particularly nice Ploughman's Lunch - (we chose to exclude the usually included Blue Vein cheese 😳) . Coffee was hot and strong, and combined well with the Scones and Cream. 😋 Owner was jovial and witty, and kept the customers amused with his banter. Service was prompt and efficient.

Charming cafe Friendly owner with nice staff. All day breakfast and good lunch menu. The scrambled eggs and smoked salmon recommended. Coffee good. When you pop you head in and see a reserve sign on the table ask the owner or staff for a table as the tables are reserved for people wanting food. Toilet upstairs. There is a free carpark opposite the cafe and public toilets there too. We’ve been here a few times and recommend it. This is a good place to stop on your way to Katoomba as parking near cafes hard there. Love your local guide - M❤️ Please like or follow me for more info.

I’ve been visiting this café since I was little, and it’s always been a favourite. The service is consistently friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere has a warm, cosy charm that makes it a great place to relax. The attached little bookshop is a lovely touch, offering a unique selection of reads in a quaint setting. The bacon and eggs are always cooked to perfection and the homemade scones are a must-try. They’re fresh, light, and the perfect accompaniment to a cup of tea or coffee. It’s a timeless spot I always enjoy returning to

My partner and I stopped in here on our way home from a holiday to the mountains. We were looking for a quick bite to eat and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious our meals were. Walked in to sit down and have a coffee and was told quite rudely by the owner we only serve lunch between 12.30 and 2.30. This a first for me, have never been turned away by a cafe for wanting to come in for a coffee. I have to say I found this quite a shock, that a cafe would turn away business. I went to the road to a neighbouring cafe and they were friendly and obliging. They said this cafe owner only liked locals. I said I’m local though this is completely beside the point. There are plenty of other cafe options in the main street of Wentworth Falls for coffee, breakfast or lunch. I won’t be back and will be spreading the word amongst “the locals”.

I’ve been a regular at this cafe for almost three years. The food is exceptional and the ambience is warm. It’s arguably the best cafe in the Blue Mountains. They have a lovely bookstore upstairs and great consideration has gone into the selection of the authors and the books. I’d highly recommend to anyone who is travelling to the Blue Mountains to drop in to Wentworth Falls and have a coffee or tea at Blue Mist.

Excellent selection of vegetarian meals and comfortable location. Female wait staff brilliant - friendly, used active listening and friendly. Meal was fine, coffee and hot chocolate great. Male barista said something under his breath as he was attempting to find our bill. After a few moments he said whatcha have with no eye contact in a derogative way. I told him and paid the bill. He was cold, unemotional and unfriendly. We all have choices, mine is I won’t return.

Located in a picturesque town square, The Wayzgoose Diner is a quaint cafe with outside seating that serves typical cafe fare like breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's also kids' activities available like coloring books and games. Come for the delicious flowerpot scones served in small terracotta pots - not to be confused with high tea!
This charming little diner was a real treat to visit. This was the last cafe we were able to have a breakfast in prior to departing Leura. With a delightful pink themed decor, we selected some excellent breakfast meals, a cheese toastie and a bacon and egg roll. Both were served promptly after ordering and both were delicious. Service was prompt, courteous and friendly. A great diner to visit when in Leura.

Wayzgoose is a cute cafe in the centre of Leura, with somewhat kitschy atmosphere. Its pink, pokadots and teen-like atmosphere seems attracting some people. Their food was good. We ordered Reuben toastie and chicken Cesar salad, with cheesecake for dessert. Reuben toastie had pulled beef but not pastrami, which was still very yummy but not what we expected. Chicken cesar salad was crunch, salty, and flavoursome with enough anchovy. Cheesecake was the highlight of the meal, berry compote on top tasted the best! I wonder if it was housemade? The crust was not soggy but crunch, and the cheesecake was really nice. Most of all, the cake was not sickly sweet but sweet and flavourful. In fact, their chocolate milkshake was perfect as well, not sickly sweet but has balanced flavour. Staff was friendly and helpful, loved their cheery smiles and comments. Overall enjoyed the experience, thank you.

Cute cafe in Laura decorated in pink. We stopped for morning tea on a busy icey cold public holiday. The chocolate and walnut brownie was delicious, warm and soft on the inside, served with a dollop of fresh cream. We understand why the scones are ‘famous’, served with cream and jam in a cute pink cup. Also warm and delicious. They could have been a little more generous with the jam for a scone that size.

We stopped at this quaint little cafe for a quick lunch during our day trip to the Blue Mountains. Our entire group is vegetarian and our bus driver told us that this was a good place for us to get vegetarian and vegan options. The food was warm and delicious — we had the veggie toastie, avocado toast and the pumpkin soup which was the soup of the day. I think the theme of this cafe was cute, and we also saw an unexpected memento from Karnataka (which is where we live) hung on the wall! (It was a coffee estate souvenir from Chikmagalur)

Amazing Place. Eggs Benedict was perfect and very well priced. Chocolate and Walnut Brownie was absolutely beautiful. One of the only places left in the mountains that do old fashioned milkshakes. Stay open late enough for afternoon tea unlike every other cafe in the mountains. Very colourful, and great vibes. Staff are extremely nice and always have a smile which is rare nowadays. 5/5 100% will come here again.

Wisteria Place Cafe, formerly known as The Freudian Sip Cafe, is a charming spot in Leura that offers a unique dining experience. The owner is known for her warm hospitality and genuine interest in guests' experiences. The cafe serves Eastern European-style cuisine along with Czech beers and New South Wales wines. With its cozy and relaxing ambiance, it's the perfect place to enjoy a casual meal or coffee.
I have been here a couple of times over the years (family live nearby) and wanted to try it again as it has just changed hands I believe, a few weeks ago. We sat out on the verandah and while I had to fix a leg on the chair it was okay, protected from the cold by the plastic curtains standard on any eatery with outdoor spaces. The menu is simple but offering a range suitable for a cafe, and our food was good. I've read a few reviews that have been negative, but I would like to add we found no evidence of the former owner's alleged behaviour, in fact witnessing the opposite. A family arrived (mum, her daughter and daughter's three little ones from 5yrs down) as we were beginning to eat, they chose to sit outside so the children wouldn't disturb people inside. The staff were very accommodating and brought 2 baby chairs for the 2 younger children without any fuss. Hopefully the new management will bring a new experience, enjoyable for all!

The owner was absolutely wonderfull. She enthusiastically told us about the restaurant and showed us around, was very helpful in deciding what to eat and showed genuine interest in asking about where we were from and our plans for our stay in Leura. The food was fantastic and quite unique with a very Eastern European style. They serve a variety of Czech beers and reasonably wines from New South Wales. The place is also quite relaxing and cosy with nice quiet ambient music playing. I would definitely go back again and recommend it to family and friends.

Warning!!! Be prepared to put up with this extremely rude owner/dude behind the bar if you decide to dine in here. We went in there to have breakfast attracted by the lovely looking garden. We asked for a table and very rudely pointed to a menu card and drinking water. I mean c'mon, how much does it cost you to greet your customers nicely. We almost walked away but let it slide thinking he had a bad day. But then saw some Google reviews and realized lot of others felt the same way as us. Food was okay and rest of the staff were very nice. But this guy ruined everything. I wouldn't go back.

Delicious crepes and sandwich selection. We had the Wisteria crepes and the veggie toastie. Seating is available in and outside on the veranda. The cafe offers table service with friendly and quick staff. The coffees are of a good quality with Campos beans used. This place can be a bit noisy outside with all the tourist busses dropping off and picking up tourist visiting the area - nonetheless definitely worth a visit!

Very nice and romantic family restaurant. We came here for the czech menu, the duck was amazing so was the goulash. There are also several czech beers available. The overall ambiance is very romantic, perfect for a date or a nice conversation. I noticed the bad reviews and was surprised as both the food and service were really nice.

NEVER AGAIN. Been coming here on and off whenever I'm in town. But today was the last straw. The manager/head barista has always been disgruntled, which never bothered me but understandable that it bothers others. But today I paid $12 for a half a B.L.A.T. with a thinly sliced wilted tomato. Seriously, I know COVID has been tough on small businesses but don't cheat your customers. I'm giving it an extra star cause coffee is good, food is usually good good. But prices are unreasonable, customer service can greatly improve and getting half a sandwich for $12 was just insulting.

Very nice place to have a family dinner or relax with friends. Food was very good, service was very friendly. Initially we were scared by negative reviews, however personally we felt very welcomed and overall experience was very good. The Carrington Hotel, a stately mansion turned hotel dating back to 1883, is centrally located in Sydney. This historic Victorian hotel offers elegant accommodations with a classic ambience and terrific city views. The property features onsite dining options, including an international cuisine restaurant and three bars. Guests can pamper themselves with massages, enjoy the terrace and garden views, or take advantage of amenities such as complimentary wireless internet access and concierge services.
I had organized a few friends to celebrate some special birthdays and we all had a marvelous time at The Carrington. We travelled by train and it was an easy walk for us, including an 86 year old. Enjoyed dinner each night in the Dining Room and sat by the fire in the Lounge Room. She is certainly a Grand Old Lady and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there soaking up the atmosphere.

Beautiful old hotel with nicely appointed, comfortable rooms. We had a room with a private bathroom located a short walk down the hall. Rooms were warm and beds comfy. We enjoyed some lovely cocktails that came with friendly service and opted to have dinner at the Old Bank. Meals were nicely portioned and a cut above the usual pub grub. The only slight disappointment of the evening was how early everything closed, bars were shut at 8.30. This was a week night though so hopefully they are open later for the weekend crowd. The early close did not stop us having a nice evening, if you are wanting a few drinks just make sure you head down nice and early. Breakfast. Sigh. At $30 a head we were expecting a better offering. There were unseasoned congealed scrambled eggs, burnt bacon, commercial hash browns and canned baked beans, plus the usual continental stuff. The ‘hot’ offerings were lukewarm warm at best and well below any safe food holding temp. We left it and headed to a cafe. The hotel did remove the breakfast from our tab. Summary? Attentive service in a beaut old hotel, yummy cocktails, decently good dinner at the brassiere, just skip the breakfast.

On Saturday, October 25, I had planned a one-day trip to the Blue Mountains. As I was walking near the hotel, I suddenly heard lively music coming from the courtyard. To my surprise, I discovered that the Oktoberfest festival was taking place right there! I spent several hours enjoying the cheerful atmosphere — sipping German beer, listening to upbeat music, and soaking in the festive vibes. It completely brightened my day. I absolutely loved the event you had organized and especially admired the traditional outfits some people were wearing. Those few hours at the festival were truly delightful and unforgettable for me.

Blackheath General Store & Cafe is highly recommended for its country cooking, offering restaurant-quality meals that can last for multiple nights. The all-day breakfast menu and chai tea lattes are also praised. Customers love the take-away options like Coq Au Vin and Paprika Chicken, as well as the mango goat cheese bruschetta made by Chef Bec. While some find it a bit pricey, many are willing to pay for the quality of the food.

The dining in all-day breakfast menu is also wonderful, everything cooked well and served with a smile and a chat. The chai tea lattes are especially good

Katoomba RSL is a popular spot for both locals and visitors in the Blue Mountains. The Red Poppy Brasserie, located opposite the club, offers a family-friendly environment with entertainment options for kids such as pinball machines and air hockey. The cafe also provides delicious meals at reasonable prices, including special deals on certain days of the week. Visitors can easily become temporary members to enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and tasty food.
Katoomba RSL, its food, service, and atmosphere. Customers frequently praise the friendly and attentive staff, the quality of the meals, and the overall welcoming environment. While some reviews mention inconsistencies in specific dishes or interactions with certain staff members, the general consensus is that it's a great place for a relaxed and enjoyable meal, especially for families.

Located at 86 Lurline Street, Katoomba, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 A good little lunch to come to for a meal. Everyone in my group seemed to be happy with their meal, but I had the prawn pasta and I found it to be a very bland, not a lot of taste. I paid $27 so I was a little disappointed. The staff were friendly enough but when I went to the bar, I was standing there waiting to get served and the two staff were just chatting, basically ignoring me. Very blasé. I have been to better clubs. The menu is your typical bistro style food, offering a decent selection. The club itself is nicely designed, very open and it’s wheelchair accessible which was good for our group. Overall, it’s an average club, good for convenience 🤷‍♀️ but I have been to better clubs.

We were recently in Katoomba and a local told us that the RSL was the best place to go for dinner. The club itself if great, fairly modern and staff are friendly and welcoming. We booked a table at the Red Poppy Brasserie and were greeted by a lovely staff member who showed us to our table and explained the menu, specials and how to order. The meals were lovely, flavourful and generous is sizing. The only thing we could agree to fault, was the food temperature- it just wasn’t hot enough. It was warm, edible - but not hot like you would expect. We were looking for desert, but that is ordered at a different part of the club and was very limited in options. The area it was served in was very loud due to live music and meat raffles taking place. The desert and coffee was ok. The had a quick look through the gaming area and was supposed to see poker tables set up with full tables of people playing, there is also a wide variety of gaming machines on offer. We enjoyed our meals but not sure we would order those again - maybe try something more simple that will be served at a more desirable temperature.

Such a lovely club. Really nice seeing some older generation men working. So much respite and class they have. 6pm and the club stopped as they played the last post with a mix of waltzing matilda in it. Was very emotional and lovely to hear. Food was delicious and generous portions.

My tour group made a stop at the Katoomba RSL for a lunch break, and it was such a welcoming place. Upon entering, I was struck by the warmth of the atmosphere and the variety of dining areas available. We were served a preset meal, and I chose the fish and chips. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly the service came, and the food was not only hot but also very enjoyable. I found myself curious about the meaning of RSL. My tour guide explained that it stands for Returned and Services League, which is similar to veteran services in the US. There were medals proudly displayed by the entrance, a touching tribute to those who have served. During my visit, I also appreciated the ample free parking, making it even easier for everyone to enjoy their time there. It felt like a genuinely inclusive space, and I left feeling grateful for the experience.

Had dinner at Red poppys, ordered corn ribs, Arancini, chicken schnitzel(with parmigiana) and T-bone steak. The corn ribs and Arancini were excellent. The parma was missing the ham and i felt was a little dry and the T-bone was good as well

I visited the Katoomba RSL primarily to attend The Radiators concert. The staff at front desk were friendly as were all the bar staff and in Red Poppy brasserie. I do recommend reserving a table as the brasserie was at capacity and the order queue long. We ordered the weekly special "Lamb shanks" and were disappointed it was just one shank, when the picture advertised showed two. The meat although tender was bland, lacking a jus with some blandish tomato sauce instead. The mash potato lacked seasoning and was cold. We also ordered the salt'n'pepper squid which was great, crispy and tender. Also ordered the Steak Sandwich and happy to report the meat was not chewy. The auditorium used for the concert was set up like a conference or a church sermon with rows of seats. Not the best setup for a rock concert. It was also disappointing there was a bar in the room but not being utilised, you had to go out to the main bar for your drinks. Then you had to pour your drinks into plastic cups. Normally I'd understand if there was a hardwood floor but the whole venue was carpeted, it felt unnecessary and not an environmentally friendly option as there are now extra glasses that need to be washed and extra rubbish for the plastics

Food was under my expectations. Is it RSL ? ..Burger Bun cold, Chicken was overcooked, not enough chips.. Beef Cheeks, it's just a tiny PC's of meat.. No flavour..3 Floor staff, 2 just standing at the counter and watching the customer and talking to each other. Lava cake has no sauce.. and chef excuse as they house made and it's hard to do.. Then why are you putting it to the board.. It's not worth eating there...

i can wait an hour in a cafe. but more than this means something wrong with staff. i ordered breakfast and i was 35 years old, and lucky i eat it when i turn 36. my face has change and my hair become grey during waiting. i can see chef working, he seems forced to work. we were 4 poeple and they served 2 forks ! if you want to feel unwelcome just say hi to them. i beleive this place is good for you if you have severe depression and you just want to be alone for long time. come in and wait some one to serve and then for food. you will be cured because the feeling in this place is worst than have bad mental illness. do NOT BE mislead by good comments. thank you for making me immune aganist mental shock. never come back. oh one more, food is not what i expected price is $$$$ and small amount of serve.

Frankly Dear Coffee is a small but charming cafe with an interesting "speculatte". A great place to get a good coffee and some sweet treats.
Love this little find in Katoomba in the Blue Mtns, on the main street near the roundabout (woolworths end) it serves some delicious GF food, my husband and I tried the gf avo smash bagel and the gf salmon bagel - was really lovely, the coffee was excellent even though I normally have vanilla syrup in my coffee and they dont have syrups. Spotted the gf chocolate marshmallow cookies on the counter and some other gf items, but ended up trying the gf banana bread with espresso butter! Best banana bread I've ever had. The butter was delicious and they actually stir in an espresso into the butter and whip it together - really good. As far as coffee spots go in Katoomba I really struggle to recommend anything but Frankly My Dear Coffee - or simply Frankly on the window/front is one I'd definitely recommend. We went with friends who are not gf and they had the tumeric latte, rhubard and pistachio croissant and one had the salmon bagel non gf version with pickles and crisps and the other had the berry schmear (cream cheese). They enjoyed their food and they are coffee connoisseurs and loved their filter coffee, etc. for those that are also into their coffee it was an ethiopian roast and it was lovely. We are not coeliac so I'm not sure on the topic of cross-contamination, but I read a statement that said they do try but there are gluten foods also in the cafe. I give one less star for atmosphere because it is on the main road in Katoomba we had a great spot on a table that is under cover and just off the footpath and what would otherwise be the doorway of another shop - however unfortunately there is a bus stop just out front so you get regular buses stopping and idling at the bus stop which I always find annoying at a cafe.

Delicious... Had breakfast here this morning and found it to be excellent. Beetroot cured salmon tartine was super delicious. Coffee is nice and not bitter. The service was really friendly and prompt. I would recommend this as one of the better breakfast establishments in the Blue Mountains. I will return here in the future.

Back then when i needed coffee around Katoomba area before driving to Sydney. I had mocha (yeah that's just how quick i changed my mind from espresso or cappuccino). The staff made sure about coffee was all i ordered but then again, the bagel menu suddenly seemed interesting so i had one. And instead of having them as take away like how i planned it to be, i had a dine in instead. Anyway their tagline that i just read because i was making this post is right "Damn good specialty coffee Damn good bagels" #FranklyMyDearCoffee #Katoomba #NewSouthWales

We had breakfast here on Saturday and it was some of the best food I've had in months. By far the best breakfast I've had yet in the Blue Mountains. I highly recommend the veg bowl and the liquorice bread. The house hot sauce is delicious and a very generous serve. We will be returning for sure. Delicious!

Breakfast. Super fast service Easy to order using the online menu. Tried the special coffee of the week which was from Newcastle very tasty. Overall well done Re visited 2022, seems they only do bagels now, limited food menu however very consistently high quality. Still great coffee

We went here for breakfast after a night staying in the blue mountains- we are massive coffee and food snobs and this did not disappoint at all!!! The butterscotch latte was incredible and the Liquorice bread was so good - I am wondering whether making another four hour round trip from Sydney just to have it again the next day is excessive? 😋 We also had the burger and avo toast- both of which were delicious! And the staff were very lovely too. Will definitely be back on our next trip.

Whilst on our little Blue Mountains getaway, we were on the hunt for good coffee as always. We were recommended to try Frankly My Dear Coffee in Katoomba. It is a cute little spot, on trend with pastel hues and a small shelf selling coffee equipment and beans. The specialty coffee shop serves up reubenhills beans, which is one we often enjoy. There’s also a good range of sweet treats and bagels too. I had a butterscotch latte, and Kurt had his regular. They also had a super interesting “speculatte”. I will leave the intrigue there and you can also ask what it is. That’s for me to order next time! Do yourself a favour and pay this cafe a visit.

Over priced 17 dollars for a bagel of very average quality. Also overhead a lady ask to have her bagel cutt in half owner just said she will give her a knife, I mean come on over priced and wheres ther customer service, wait time was also way to long for a average bagel, milk shake tasted just sugary, mocha was just like milk didnt taste like coffee was there or the chocolate in a mocha. Absolute poor would avoid. City prices in the bush without the quality or service

Tempus Katoomba is a modern Australian restaurant located in a converted historic bank on the main street of Katoomba. The restaurant focuses on seasonality and sustainability, using local produce to create dishes that reflect the four distinct seasons of the Blue Mountains. They are committed to minimizing food waste by dehydrating, powdering, preserving, and pickling any excess food to create innovative and playful dishes.
Absolutely delicious food, nice ambience and exceptional service. We ordered the haloumi, duck, lamb and some sides, all cooked to perfection! Our waiter was very well versed on helping create a balanced sharing meal and i honestly wouldnt fault any if it. For a drink I would recommend the non-alcoholic watermelon and basil cocktail for a refreshing and slightly zingy pallete cleanser.

Nice and quiet place for dinner. Little bit cold for winter nights. The selection of the food was limiting the choice, we would order more, but the option didn't appeal to us. However, the services were massive and very generous, tender lamb, crispy double cooked potatoes and fresh salad. Services been great and helpful.

Somehow this kind of fusion food is very highly regarded in this town despite the quality/taste is average and price is high. We had the beef tongue skewer, duck breast, and Turkish dumplings and veggies. All dishes are very pricy. The beef tongue is overcooked/softened so it loses its tenderness. The duck breast tastes good but definitely is worth $60. The Turkish dumplings are good but nothing too exceptional if you compare it to any good chinese or Nepalese dumplings. Very good staff service and good wine selection.

Highly recommend this restaurant for a lovely quiet lunch in Katoomba. The staff were friendly and attentive. They welcome children. The Ox tongue was phenomenal. Can't wait to go back!

“Tempus” started “allegro” but finished “lamentoso”. This is a local restaurant with an old world charm. Local beers and mocktails warmed the cockles and were a great way to settle in. We enjoyed the cosy atmosphere and the starters - the fennel and rabbit dishes were tasty. The duck main course was also very delicate and the roast potatoes were crunchy. We were really enjoying ourselves. And then came the most expensive item on the menu, the 30-day aged grass-fed steak. What a total disappointed - tough and chewy, like an old boot. Cooked medium - we like it medium-rare - we left half of it. When we complained to the waiter he brushed us off as ignorants. He confidently imparted that grass-fed beef is not the soft and melt-in-your mouth type you find in the cheaper, supermarket variety; where farmers finish the cattle off with grains to soften the meat. Tough and chewy is what real quality tastes like. Well, excuse us for our ignorance. Our local butchers in Sydney, Bologna and Treviso who also had grain-fed beef that was exquisite must have it all wrong. We’ll clearly need to go back and educate them. The cheesecake to round-off was ok. Such a shame - we were excited to dine and left deflated. Never mind, the audience left the hall before the final notes were played.

We had a incredible experience visiting Tempus. The food and the experience was amazing and the staff were really amazing! Recommend coming for dinner when you are in the Blue Mountain area!
Madelijn V — Google review
Really lovely space. Great service and delicious food. The reason it’s not 5 stars is I feel some of the flavours are just not quite “complete”. The steak needed a lift in both acid and umami. Left the palate wanting something more. The mango again needed an acid to cut through. The salty beetroot needed something creamy or sweet to carry it. But honestly the whole experience was truly great. Tasty, fresh and seasonal. Love the majority of vegetarian dishes, very rare for a menu to be so diverse and inclusive. We will be back seasonally to try more things. Definitely get the roasted gem lettuce. Nice wine list too that will not break the bank. We tried a few by the glass. Very tasty. Lastly the menu design means you can have lots of sharing plates and be totally satisfied if you’re not a main meal kinda person.

Looking for a great spot in the city to satisfy your sweet tooth? Look no further than Ellie Belly's Dessert Bar! They have delicious toasted sandwiches that are perfect and won't keep you waiting like at Victory Cafe. The only thing I can say is that the flat white had too much foam. However, if you're into that kind of thing, this is the place to be! Also, they offer good options for people on a gluten-free diet.
Lovely place to have a hot or cold drink and recharge. They had lovely pastries. We had the scones and oat apple crumble cake, so delicious. The lady was on here own working so hard and being so friendly. The interior is a bit old, but for a quick stop it’s really nice.

Disappointed to have brought a slice of their chocolate marble cheesecake today as a treat for my husband only to realise when I got home it was moldy. Makes me quite concerned about the other items I consumed today when I came in for a chai tea and something to eat - whilst I did some work on my laptop. Really disappointing, food should be better checked in the display window especially those containing dairy and meat. Otherwise staff and service were lovely but not happy with lack of food hygiene especially when charging $9 a slice of cheesecake

If you’re in the mood to be thoroughly disappointed and robbed blind, this cafe is the place for you. $25.53 for a dry, cold sausage roll and a pie so hollow it could double as a balloon — and yes, that price includes a mystery “weekend surcharge” they don’t bother to disclose anywhere. Good luck finding any prices at all; nothing is marked, because apparently they prefer the sticker shock to hit once you’re at the register. The sausage roll was an embarrassment: dry, flavorless, and barely lukewarm after a 15-minute wait (microwaved, no less) despite only one other table being occupied. The pie? A masterclass in deception — two-thirds greasy puff pastry, one sad teaspoon of filling, and zero care. The staff matched the food perfectly: low-energy, disinterested, and seemingly inconvenienced by the presence of customers. If you like paying premium prices for fast food-level quality, cold service, and a side of regret, this place will absolutely deliver. How embarrassing. Do better 👎

Wow! Destiny was at play when I pulled off highway for a break… found this delight right across the road… wow what a find! The food is baked on premises every morning so piping fresh. The pies were the best I’ve had in decades. I travel the world and not even in Paris have I tasted anything so perfect. I had the beef burgundy pie… the coffee was perfect and judging by other consumers around this busy bijou cafe every thing else was too. Hot chocolate seems to be a big hit, served in resplendent @1970’s Orange china… beautifully presented and downed by youths with gusto. Staff were professional and friendly- giving a family business vibe. All heart from cooking, presentation to bon viva atmosphere. Desert collection was also divine although I didn’t have room after the beef burgundy pie. DELICIOUS!

Went here on the weekend and wish it was a better experience. Although: the food was literally amazing. We had a schnitzel with veg & chips and it couldn’t have been done better. Would have rated 5 stars if the staff were not so rude, defensive and generally dismissive. We felt judged and ridiculed by the 2 staff with whom with interacted with, I’m guessing because we were obviously tourists. They acted as if we were bothering them and like just really did not want to be there. Overall an ok experience but can get a decent chicken schnitzel anywhere.

Cafe
Nestled in the heart of Katoomba, the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre Cafe offers a modern and inviting atmosphere perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a casual meal. This contemporary cafe caters to a diverse crowd, making it an ideal spot for families with young children and seniors alike. While there isn't a dedicated kids' menu, options like toasties, soup, and scrambled eggs are kid-friendly, and the staff is more than willing to modify dishes to accommodate younger diners.
The main thing I love about this cafe is how suited it is to a wide variety of people, especially seniors and families with young children. I take my grandparents here often and the place is really popular with seniors, with the simple meals and friendly atmosphere, as well as the completely flat surfaces, making it really suitable and enjoyable for them. It's also great for young children with the open window area. My favourite dish here is the soup, it's delicious and there's such a wide variety of great, unique flavours. The coffees are also great, and the music is always so varied every time I go, I love the mix of different genres and vibes that are offered. The staff are so friendly and nice and make you feel so welcomed. I'll keep coming back!

It's pleasantly modern and spacious. I've had worse coffee which means that it was just acceptable but not actually good.

What is happening to this place???!!!! It used to be sooo good that we made it our regular destination for lunch or coffee. But, for the last 6 to 8 months (maybe more...) we have noted a decline in customer service; they take ages to take the order and provide the service; the quality of the food has deteriorated; they always seem to run out of food; some staff do not seem to want to be there (never smile...); and some look a bit unhygienic. I could go on with more detailed descriptions but prefer not to. This was our favourite place which we visited on a weekly basis or sometimes more often, and the place where we were happy to bring our visitors and recommend to others. So I avoided it for quite a while but went there last week... I felt angry and sad because it hadn't improved. Please do something!!!

Classy, roomy. Yet has polished concrete and no soft surfaces to absorb sound - such as no timber, carpet, books (Library is next door)... everything is a continual din and echo chamber. Metal on metal in the food preparation area screws with my 24/7 tinnitus. I met here for a professional meeting - but that was not going to happen when I could not understand anything said around me.

Ordered a sticky chai, but it was just a milk. It was the worst chai I have ever experienced in my whole life.
Weel H — Google review
Extremely bad service.. Went to get a takeaway coffee. Ordered and waited for the coffee. The barista was very slow and after making the coffee, she was seen doing the waiter's duties, taking the coffee to the table. Yet, I waited patiently and when my turn came, she was clearly seen making the coffee for the person who ordered after me. I was getting late for my appointment. So, left without the coffee. Time and money wasted for nothing..
Dream T — Google review
We have been regulars (like weekly) over the years but after today's experience we will not be returning. The service was terrible, we were made feel so unwelcome. In addition the quality of the food today was shocking. The side salad was completely inedible. If you saw that salad sitting in your own fridge at home you would throw it out...definately not serve it to guests..let alone paying customers.

Love this place. My husband and I are regulars. Would rate this five star, however the coffee has been replaced by another brand. This new coffee is bitter and unpleasant. Please bring back the old brand of coffee.

When visiting Katoomba, a stop at the Blue Mountains Chocolate Company is a must for chocolate lovers. Situated near the famous Katoomba Scenic Railway, this spot offers over 20 flavors of chocolate bars, hand-dipped organic dried figs, truffles, ice cream, and decadent cakes. The company also provides chocolate making demonstrations and features a cafe serving real hot chocolate and homemade cakes.
We came across the Blue Mountains Chocolate Company while walking to Echo Point. The place was pretty empty- it was a Monday morning. Despite the shabby exterior, we were pleasantly surprised once we stepped inside. The girl who served us was lovely and took the time to describe different flavours to us. The chocolates are paid for by weight, so you can individually select each piece, which was great. My personal favourites were the dark chocolate Black Forest, which had a whole glace cherry inside, and the dark Banoffee, which had a perfect balance of caramel and banana flavours. A delightful stop and a nice treat after a long walk.
Isabella C — Google review
Ordered two takeaway hot chocolates and was told that it would be a 15 minute wait. 50 minutes later we asked a staff member if our order would be ready. The staff member couldn’t have been ruder, whispered to her colleague and no apology given. Two hot chocolates were made and no acknowledgement of their error. Give this place a miss solely on terrible customer service.
Ciara S — Google review
Located at 176 Lurline Street, Katoomba, New South Wales, Australia 🇦🇺 This, sad to say was a big disappointment for me. I came expecting a huge selection of chocolates etc and yes, they did have some delicious handmade chocolates on display, there really wasn’t a lot of different kinds of chocolates to choose from. I think, in its heyday, it was a great place to come but now, it’s been left to decline. The building itself needs a good spruce up, on the veranda, there’s a broken awning that, quite frankly looks terrible. The staff were friendly but they were really more interested in talking to each other, than serving. You can have milkshakes, coffee/tea, ice chocolate/coffee, hot chocolate, hot chocolate served in fondue set (which is what I had for $7.95 - This was delicious 😋) and ice cream. But that’s it. Nothing to eat other than that. It would be ideal for dessert items like cake, waffles etc. There is so much wasted potential here and it’s a crying shame. I don’t think I would recommend. Thumbs down 👎🤷‍♀️
Nerine C — Google review
Came in to the cafe to have a quick hot chocolate before our trip to scenic world. We understood that it would take the drinks quite some time as the place as packed and it was a Sunday so it was expected. What was not acceptable was the fact that our order was not passed on to the barista and we waited for an hour for the drinks to come. 30 mins into ordering we were told that we should wait another 15 minutes. Approaching 50 minutes, I went up to the counter and asked politely if my order was in the queue. To which the staff said sorry your order was not printed out. I understand that mistakes can happen but the fact that it took over an hour and not double checking our order the first time we bumped them, and not providing any compensation for our time is disappointing, because of this we were late to our scenic world ticket scheduled at 3pm and completely staggering the rest of our plan to the blue mountains all the way from Sydney. Pics show time ordered and when order actually came ( note that the hot chocolate was barely lukewarm and was nothing special).
Kelvin — Google review
About ten minutes before the usual opening time, we were parked outside the shop. It was windy with rain. Thought, the place will be all ours. We were so wrong. There was a long queue by the door, three minutes before the door sign was flipped to 'open'. This speaks so much how this cafe impress customers by serving the best chocolates, drinks, and pastries! The hot chocolate fondue set served deconstructed is one unique, amazing experience one can have in Australia.
Anne — Google review
The store is quite small and when we went it was packed and the staff was overwhelmed. The hot chocolate is delicious and definitely worth the try. The blueberry muffin was soo good too!
Raya — Google review
Sometimes what the name sounds, doesn't make the place authenticate. With the disaster coffee and tasteless vanilla frappe, you cannot place someone to make barista coffee unless they are trained too, but here the two girls on the counter serving and making coffee had no clue when you give a bad coffee to a coffee lover. Only good thing was thier Ferrero cake slice and ice creams which was a but relief but rest was awful. By the way the chocolate tasting was also not a fun either.
Solly — Google review
It was just amazing! The little store is really welcoming and the staff is super friendly! I ordered a mud cake (came as vegan and gluten free) and a real chocolate. I didn't expect the hot chocolate to be that much! It was perfect. I would say it is not just a drink, it is an experience. I never had hot chocolate like this before, thank you very much for that. So when you are visiting the blue mountains definitely have a stop there and regain some energy for the exhausting walks 🫶🏼

Flemish Flavours offers an upscale dining experience with a focus on Belgian cuisine and a wide variety of delicious beers. The venue exudes old-world charm, featuring a cozy fireplace and a picturesque outdoor area with leafy gardens that overlook Katoomba and the mountains. Guests have praised the generous portions of flavorful food and the welcoming, accommodating staff. While some suggest expanding the light meal options, others appreciate the quiet, cozy atmosphere for a relaxing evening.
My partner and I ate here on a chilly Sunday night two weeks ago. Quiet, cosy atmosphere. There were about six other people in the restaurant. The food was delicious and there was a great selection of Belgian beers.
Susan H — Google review
Great views from this place and a wonderful outdoor seating areas. There is huge list of beers that you can choose from but the food menu is a bit limited especially if you are vegetarian. Found it quite pricey as compared to the portion of food and the service is very slow. We almost got the food after 45 min of wait. So, be mindful if you are in a rush!
Aparna G — Google review
Great ambiance, amazing beer selection. However, I didn't like the baramundi, but the stew was great. Also, the place wasn't bust but we struggled to get the attention of the staff and waited for everything for too long. Twice I had to get up and go find someone to ask for napkins they forgot or to ask for the dessert menu.
Yelena A — Google review
Good food, but not the best, not enough pickles, beer was a bit pricey, stew was a bit salty, might have good garden view, but we came for dinner. Desserts were good.

Fast service, great mountain views. Enjoy the fresh air on the deck or dine inside. The brisket was great, nice beer selection too.

Wide variety of great tasting beer and spectacular views. Best place to be for a relaxing afternoon. Only thing that could be improved would to be a wider variety of light meals/snacks. Was only able to order chips on current menu.

Very nice staff, great selection of tasty beers. Lovely food too. Accommodating to my friends that brought kids in for a meal. Worth a visit for sure, I'll be returning next time I'm in the area

Loved the place. Great view, delectable food with subtle flavours. Had the Ox tongue starters which really well prepared and the choice of sauce fitted very well. The duck mains was good with some nuanced flavours and the excellent paired beer, Rodenbach Grand Cru, was the best beer I've ever tasted. Desert was a Vanilla Creme Brûlée and honestly was the best I've ever had, you have to eat it slowly and enjoy the balance in the desert. Truly a great meal to finish my day after to canyoning in the Blue mountains.

Paragon in Katoomba is an iconic restaurant and cafe with art deco style decor, offering a vintage experience. The place features opulent 1920s old world charm and an enticing display of hand-made chocolates. It's also known for hosting creative events like life drawing sessions and musical acts. Listed by the National Trust for its superb 1930s Art Deco interior, this establishment is a fine example of a 1930s milk bar, maintaining its ambience to this day.
Absolutely beautiful and magnificent place. Historic in every way. Sadly that will be closing soon due to the complicated tenancy and historic preservation laws here. What's more, they hand make the absolutely best chocolate and I'm told export it as far away as London. The chocolate is exquisite! The food here is also very nice. This place has over a 100 years of history. Apparently, many service men stopped here back during WWlI before shipping of to fight. They used to be one of the finest dining spot's in the area with many folks from Sydney coming here for their holiday dinner. They had a banquet hall and a dance room! It's a truly remarkable place and it's sad to see it closing.

I love love love this café 😍 Very close to Katoomba train station only a short 5-minute walk! Amazing customer service, the lady was so friendly! So attentive & helpful, as she knew I was on holidays from Sydney! She recommended different places to go and try! As I told her I was on holidays for food exploring 😍 nom nom is what I am good at 😂 This was the first stop, and I was so happy! The interior of the café was gorgeous and classy, it had a very classy historic feel to it! I ordered a strong soy latte, and it was delicious, strong and creamy! Just the way I like it! ☕️ I also ordered a cheese and ham toastie, super cheesy and crispy! All I can say is Yum!! It’s a nice simple and delicious breakfast! Loved it!! Casual quiet ambience, very clean as well & cosy! I would totally rock up to this place again one day !!! Oh, OMG the chocolate on display looked amazing!!! Next time I will grab a box to take home!! This café is highly recommended!! Friendly and attentive staff and the food was amazing!!! Are you searching for delicious coffee in the mountain!? Try this cafe ASAP 🥰 I spent $13.00 in total.

This place has been here forever; however, it doesn't really pay to be rude to visitors, whether you think they'll come back or not. The food is nice, the setting is great, but throwing dishes onto the table, ignoring people and telling them it's 'not their turn to order' doesn't win friends. We watched one group walk out, rather than stay, after some rather impolite service. On the food front, for a place that makes its own chocolate, it's inexplicable for the hot chocolate drink to be made from powdered chocolate. And the cream with the scones isn't really much good - thin whipped cream. Overall, given there are so many places to eat in Katoomba, walk in have a look at the decor and go somewhere else. Sorry Paragon

I absolutely love this place. It has an amazing art deco interior. It's absolutely stunning. The decorations are labeled very helpfully too. The warm chandelier light really makes the place feel cozy and special. The food is adequate. The service is not always fast but attentive. It's gotten much popular over last few years - there's a queue basically all the time!

Wonderful service. Friendly staff who appeared passionate about the place. Great food and a wonderful old world charm lost in the modern world's cafés. Well worth a visit for tourists and locals alike. I hope it is heritage listed and if it isn't it should be as Australia's oldest running cafe restaurant.

Nice and clearly labelled vegan options. Had the toasties (one garlic-potatoes, one zucchini-spinach) both delicious, a fresh juice, a raw vegan black forest cake slice and 2 coffees for $43. Well priced and delicious. The coffee wasn't very good, too dark and a bit burnt but they have almond milk at least. The atmosphere is really nice. Best place for vegans in Katoomba, too bad they're closed on Sundays or we'd have gone a second time!

A lovely property - modern ensuite and lovely comfy bed, we were toasty warm and it was nice to have the use of the other property next door (also owned by the same group) which included a lovely sauna! Highly recommend and would be amazing for a family reunion or large group booking. Also the service was exceptional, Ronnie and his staff were always available to answer any questions.

A really pleasant hotel that offered great value at $98 a room on a Saturday night. A decent breakfast was included (hot drinks, toast, cereal, fruit). There is a free pool table and lounge areas for relaxing. Our room was spacious, modern and comfortable with adequate heating and a good private bathroom. A 10 minutes walk to Echo point for the 3 sisters. They could improve the parking to the rear of the property.
Tom O — Google review
Was a bit disappointed with our stay. The room had a kettle & tea bags but no mugs (only a single saucer for some reason?) and as a tea lover I was sad about that. When we arrived the electricity wasn't working although that was quickly fixed by management, but one of the lamps was broken too. Finally breakfast was not what I've had at other b&bs in the Blue Mountains. It was a very simple continental breakfast with tinned fruit, cereal & tea. In other guest houses (similarly priced) there is usually some kind of hot meal option, and in the middle of winter that would have been lovely. Don't think I'll be staying again :(

Wattle Cafe, the oldest in town with a youthful team, offers an authentic and lively dining experience. The staff is caring and friendly, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The cafe serves fresh and tasty food, with generous portions like the bacon and egg roll. However, the open front door can make it noisy due to traffic from the nearby highway. Despite this, Wattle Cafe is known for its fantastic burgers and coffee.
I've been to this cafe a few times now. From the moment you step through the doors of this cafe you feel instantly relaxed and welcomed. The staff is so very caring, friendly, and genuinely nice. The coffee that I ordered arrived within moments. The food is fresh and tasty. I had ordered a bacon and egg roll. What was served up in front of me was a meaty and juicy roll the size of a dinner plate. In an additional note, every so often you will hear peals of laughter coming from the kitchen. Maybe that's why the food tastes so good; the staff is also well looked after. I love this place.

Lovely staff here! The young people managing the place when we stopped in for breakfast were so chipper! It was a super crisp morning when we came in, so we were very happy to see a warm fire burning in the middle of the cafe. The menu has some funky twists on the standard bacon and egg breakfast options. They also do some good vegetarian options. The coffee was nice, but I tend to like something a little stronger than most. The prices were fairly standard for the area, meals between $15-22. The staff are also willing to make alterations to menu items, if you ask.

Victory Cafe is a charming spot located in the heart of Blackheath, housed within the historic Victory Theatre. The cafe offers a delightful dining experience with its seasonal brunch dishes served in a relaxed atmosphere. The high ceilings and street tables add to the appeal of this 1915 space. Additionally, Victory Cafe perfectly complements the vibrant local scene by being situated inside the largest antiques store west of Sydney, featuring over 50 dealers.
If you decide to visit Blue Mountain, make sure you do not miss Blackhealth. It was just a couple of stations. The area is quiet and chilling. I discovered this cafe on my way walking around town. By the time it hits lunch time, this cafe is gonna pack with people so you better hurry. They serve breakfast menu all day long so I can freely have “a big breakfast” at 2PM. The staff is friendly and helpful. I wish they would have photos of the food so it’s easier to imagine how much food you gonna get in one plate. Overall the food was nice. I enjoyed both coffee and food.

A great spot for Breakfast, Lunch or Brunch - or even a hot drink on a cold morning. The staff have been incredibly helpful and polite on each and every visit and the food has always been a drawcard with locals. We sometimes stop by the Victory Cafe when pondering a purchase at either the Antique Store or the nearby Collier's Crystals store. PROS: * Great, flavorsome food. * Polite and helpful staff. * Nearby bathrooms, both outside & inside. * An all-day Breakfast & Lunch Menu (from memory). * Acceptably priced menu items. CONS: * The odd rickety table. OTHER: * The potato fries, which are a part of several of the dishes (see pics) - have been literally inedible on several occasions. Locals have also noted the same. (I've worked in hospitality and this one is still a mystery to us). **Perhaps this issue has since been resolved?

I ordered the chickpea pancakes - I’d had them three weeks previously and really enjoyed them, they were thick and it was filling. But today there was just one pancake and it was very thin with lots of gaps and holes, almost like they were running out of batter and trying to make it stretch. It was tasty but a very different and less substantial dish than before and I’d expect more for $24. When I asked a member of staff about the inconsistency he just said different chefs do things differently and was quite dismissive, then proceeded to slap a 10 per cent surcharge on the bill even though it was obvious I wasn’t happy. It’s a shame as it was a great experience before!

This place has so much potential! Unfortunately, the floor team, would just walk away when we presented a problem. I would fire these guys. We were refused extra’s on our already expensive $60+ and small dishes with burnt toast and tinned mushrooms. It’s not our fault you are short staffed. Happy to wait the extra time for the extras… Who doesn’t do a matcha latte these days? Make sure to hunt around on google for better cafes. Better ones around the corner. Still hungry….

Altitude Delicatessen is a charming spot located on Govett's Leap Road, alongside other specialty shops like 5 Star Minimarket, The Butcher, The Bakery, and Blackheath Continental Delicatessen. It offers an array of fresh local produce, spreads, cheeses, deli meats, and delightful treats to take home. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of sandwiches and refreshing banana smoothies made with real bananas and just the right amount of honey and cinnamon.
We ordered a selection of sandwiches and wraps for an event and they did not disappoint. The sandwiches were beautifully presented, each box clearly labelled and were so delicious! Kath was very accommodating and swapped the cheese for another of our choice. She even offered to deliver them to our house prior to the event start time so they were super fresh!

Good food, lovely staff, they cut my sandwich but didn’t cut my partners which was annoying. Good mix of flavours.

This small cafe is a must visit in blackheath. Loved the food and options available. Quick service with warm staff was the key highlight.

Wonderful cafe in Blackheath near Govett’s Leap in Blue Mountains. Plenty of vegetarian & vegan options. I enjoyed the Vegan Breakfast & chai, keen to try their nachos & sandwiches next time :)

A must after the Grand Canyon trek ! Great healthy sandwiches and sneaky nachos !

We were lucky to have this deli cater for our lunches on our walking tour. Each day we enjoyed a variety of sandwiches and sweet treats, they were all delicious and huge servings. My favorite was the Vietnamese Chicken on Brioche, yum!!! Thank you so much

Was told by a good friend that this place has the best sandwiches and it certainly did not disappoint! We had the Turkey, Roast Beef and Pesto Chicken - but our absolute favourite was the Cuban, full of meat and pickles! An added bonus is that the prices are very reasonable. We will definitely make this our regular lunch stop when we travel through Blackheath! Highly recommended!

I have been coming here for a couple of years now. The burger and viet chicken sandwich were my favorites. Unfortunately, as of the last few days, they have increased their prices (which is understandable in this economy). However, what disappoints me greatly is that the quality has seemed to decline. The burger was more oily than usual and the chicken sandwich seems less fresh and less filled than before - particularly the chicken and the fresh chili. Please correct this, I would really like to continue eating here but with the change in quality, it is now hard to justify the increased prices.

Hounslow, located in a charming arcade, is a hidden gem for coffee enthusiasts. The iced butterscotch latte and fancy food presentation make it a delightful spot. While some find the portions small for the price, others praise the fritters as the best they've ever had. The cafe's cute alleyway location provides protection from unpredictable weather. Visitors rave about the delicious beef burger, calabrese toastie, and especially the seasoned crispy chips.
This one’s a bit of a hidden gem tucked away inside an arcade. Glad we searched up coffee spots in Blackheath because I really enjoyed what we had here. Iced butterscotch latte was delicious. Food was also really good, and presented in a way that’s a lil bit fancy. We love that. Portions looked a little bit small for some dishes, especially considering the price, however it looks to be about average for the area after looking at a few other menus. Would definitely go back, their menu was intriguing and distinct for the area.

Absolutely great breakfast. Seems to be under new management, and so much better. My partner had two slices of sourdough with avocado, poached egg and mushrooms. This was so good and so well made, absolutely delicious. My daughter had the poached eggs, which came with sourdough, asparagus, pickled daikons, and sorrel. Very impressive. I had the iron bark streaky bacon and egg roll. Delicious. It came with rocket, kewpie mayo, pear chutney and Swiss cheese. Superb. We also shared a side of hot herbed chips, which had a brilliant herb mix along with aioli. I want to know what’s in the mix. So good Also had brilliant drinks. Mine was a butterscotch latte, so yum. Highly recommended. Would definitely come back.

Friendly and helpful staff. I ordered a big breakfast minus the bacon. The staff offered me to pick other ingredients for free in replacement. Food is decent. The place is cozy with both indoor and semi indoor seating

Yes, as good as the reviews say. Fantastic coffee and particularly liked the build your own breakfast as I didn’t want a large serving. You’ll find Hounslow inside the shopping arcade next to the bookstore.

What a great spot, tucked away in a little arcade! Food was excellent, and the batch brew coffee was off the charts. Staff were welcoming and very friendly. We will definitely be back for some more batch brew before our stay in Blackheath is done. Get there or you are missing out!

Small cafe hidden away in an arcade off the main street. The service was great as was the food. Coffee was also quite nice. Only drawback is the price, around $30 on Sunday for a burger with chips is a bit expensive. If you want to see more photos and tips, feel free to check out my Instagram → @6yearsinjapan

Great cafe recommended by our BnB hosts. The burger is delicious and the fries are epic. The coffee is really good too! They seem to have a really nice wine and cocktail selection for dinner…or day drinking. Would love to come back and try their other dishes. I now have a go to cafe/restaurant when I’m in Blackheath.

Everything about this cafe was amazing. The atmosphere, the waitresses were friendly, extremely helpful and assisted us promptly. It was such a welcoming place. The food was outstanding. We received our food fast. The food we ordered was very tasty and fresh. We loved it here and we would definitely be back soon. I highly recommend this cafe.

Coffee shop
Libby and Chris are the best! Great local coffee shop with yummy treats (the hummingbird cake and crumpets are to die for!). Libby gave us a tour around their gorgeous property and showed us their coffee roaster and hives where they make local honey. They also introduced us to their cute and friendly chickens! A must if you’re visiting Blackheath or Katoomba.

We rocked up here one frosty mountains morning, visiting from Sydney and saw the excellent ratings for this makeshift coffee shop. The owners were wonderful to chat to, as were the locals they were attracting to their driveway coffee cart. Coffee was very good and we loved the wholesome experience! Thanks for the local recommendations and a few great laughs! @molly_cafecart

Absolutely love this place. Not just the best coffee in the mountains, it holds up anywhere! And the owners Libby and Chris are the best. They remember our order every time and each time we swing past it feels like visiting old friends. Honestly, I leave happier each time after visiting. The best!!!

Such a unique and incredible spot to stop off an have coffee. Was driving back from Mudgee to Sydney and decided to stop here for a coffee. Had a good chat with the two that run the cafe who were amazing people who told us the background of the place, including that the profits go to the Timor Learning Centre. Coffee was great and so were the spinach and feta toasties and apple slice. Highly recommend - must do if passing through Blackheath (only a 1 minute detour from the main street).

Lovely place to stop for coffee on a Friday morning. The outdoor area was lovely and sunny with pretty tulips blooming. Coffee was delicious and the barista was kind and patient taking our orders. Her freshly baked treats were wonderful as well. Highly recommend 😊
Zena C — Google review
Excellent coffee, friendly service and consistently good brews. Cosy seating in the shade along the front patio or seating under the umbrellas in front of the van. Chris and Libby are friendly and welcoming.

What an absolute gem of an address. Tucked away in a driveway, this cafe exudes authenticity and passion for the trade. The couple that run this little coffee spot are so kind and welcoming and you can tell that they really love what they do and want to share that love with their patrons. The coffee was delicious (and home roasted) and so was the chai latte. The food was simple but reliable and tasty. Would definetely come back and recommend for a cozy homey breakfast.
Gab P — Google review
I love this place. The coffee is freshly roasted and delicious. The apple pie is out of this world... I ordered a slice to have there, then I ended up buying another 3 slices to take away. But the nicest part of the experience is Libby. She is so warm and friendly. She even let us feed her chickens!
