Kauppayhtiö in Rovaniemi is a versatile establishment that offers a variety of dining experiences. It features a café serving the city's best burgers made with local meat, as well as chicken wings and salads. The restaurant also serves excellent pizzas, making it an ideal spot for casual dining. Additionally, visitors can browse and purchase various items as everything in Kauppayhtiö is for sale, from furniture to small goods.
A very good choice if you like Burgers and/or pizzas within the city. It's a nice place with tons of art details, a huge selection of spicy sauces and a short but tasty menu. Regarding the price, it's not much more costly as a fast food chain so it is worth to choose this one.
Sergio F — Google review
A bit on the pricey side. But the pizza's were delicious, some ingredients were unavailable but we we're able to work out something to our wishes. The service was fine. It was a bit confusing for us that the burger and pizza place were two seperate things, whilst the website seemed to suggest both were possible. Im still not sure if that's the case. I also don't enjoy redding drinks from a while, a card menu on the table with offered drinks would've been nice.
Kylie K — Google review
If you are in the area and want to try something different, this is the place to be. For lunch we had Reindeer burger with chili fries. Great taste and really loved the combination of fresh chopped chili peppers and fries. Cool down with a local beer. Cool vintage interior, friendly staff too. Doesn’t come cheap though, but hey… you’re probably on holiday so who cares.
Ferdinand A — Google review
Quirky retro burger place, great for a fun casual date. Burger is very saucy and compliments well with the reindeer steak. Friendly staff who recommended us some nearby spots to visit.
Iris I — Google review
Had my first reindeer meat burger here. Staff were friendly and helpful in recommending local beer. Comfortable seatings and environment.
Suphontri — Google review
Recommend reindeer burger and fries. Burger and patty taste great and fries were crispy. Reasonable price though the restaurant seemed to be closed from looking outside.
Nuch S — Google review
One of the best burger I had in Europe! Its reindeer meat so tender and juicy! Great vibes in the restaurant too!
Pun L — Google review
The interior of the restaurant is a bit odd, but still quite unique. The service was fast and nice, no complaints. I've been there three times and have never been disappointed. Usually in restaurants you eat burgers with a fork and knife, so I find it a wonderful change to be able to eat them with your hands. The food is good and it's served in a fun way, even if it has a bit of a fast food restaurant vibe, I wouldn't compare this restaurant to something like that. Good place, definitely recommend to try it! there is also a pizzeria, whose pizzas have been praised by friends.

Restaurant
Santa's Restaurant, also known as Christmas House Restaurant & Coffee Bar, is a popular spot located in Santa Claus village. The restaurant offers a sumptuous lunch buffet every day of the year at an affordable price. Visitors can enjoy a variety of dishes and drinks while experiencing the festive atmosphere. Additionally, Christmas House showcases traditions from around the world and provides an opportunity to meet Santa Claus throughout the year. While entrance is free, guests can purchase photos as souvenirs.
Incredible buffet and Incredible people, The chef Is One Of The Bests Of Finland, The Food Is Really Delicious and very extraordinary and flavory! Every time I tasted a new plate I was amazed by the new taste!!! Thanks 🙏 for the great food and the excellent service! I got out very happy!!! And even the dessert was homemade and delicious!!!! Congratulations to all the team!!!
Jorge A — Google review
The salmon soup was quite enjoyable and is something I would recommend. The beef brisket was quite disappointing as about half of it was fat. Fortunately, they offered to replace it with a leaner beef brisket and it was much better. Overall, it was a decent meal at an above average price. Might be the best pick of the restaurants at the village.
Junior H — Google review
A bit more expensive restaurant, but surely worthy of stopping by. My friends and me got here for breakfast buffet. The price on the website is a bit outdated - if you aren't a guest staying at the Village, breakfast costs 20 Eur per person. Considering what everything you get in return, I think the prices is adequate. People working at the place are super nice and smiley. Compared to other people I met in services in Finland, those working here stand out with their customer approach and friendliness. I felt like being on vacation.
Jana K — Google review
Very good lunch with pure, genuine flavors and featuring Lappish ingredients. Service also in english.
Maria A — Google review
If you want a breakfast with a wide selection, but don’t really care about quality this is a good place. The person I visited with who likes the basics like bacon and sandwiches was pleased. Unfortunately the food was not very good tasting according to me. All the cheese and cutlery was frozen. And the scrambled eggs (which for me is the main thing on which you can determine quality of breakfast) was very bad.
Maria M — Google review
Pros - Super selection of lunch buffet items. From main course to soups, desserts, breads, salads and coffee. Dessert was the most impressive part, white chocolate moose and the hilla-pudding were delicious. Cons- muikku (fried Vendace) was served cold and not soft at all
Marina J — Google review
It was very good experience to meet with Santa and also the food wasn't the best but is was acceptable. 19 € per person

Cafe
Nestled within the captivating Arktikum museum, the Arktikum Café offers a delightful culinary experience that complements your exploration of Northern and Arctic life. This three-story museum is a treasure trove of knowledge, showcasing exhibitions that delve into the rich history and culture of the region, including insights into the Sami people and their customs. After immersing yourself in fascinating displays about The Lapland War or seasonal foraging traditions, take a break at the café.
This and the Korundi, which have similar buffets, were the best food we had in Finland. Lots of vegan and vegetarian choices and you could eat as much as you want! I wish I could have eaten for several days but alas the human body doesn't work like that!
Praful K — Google review
We went in March 25 and it was cold, so food was served indoors. Not sure about spring/summer months. The cafe was small so seating was limited. However, there was an adjoining hall that was opened for extra seating to accommodate the crowd. Food served was buffet style, and for a small cafe, the variety and quality was good. Food station was topped up quickly, so no trays were ever empty. For those who don't want the buffet, the cafe has a good range of coffee, tea, and sandwiches/pastries that you can order as well. Cafe was simple and clean, and the staff were friendly.
Natalie L — Google review
My photos dont do the food justice, but the food here was a hidden gem!!! Had the lunch buffet for 15€ and they provided unlimited coffee and tea as well! Casserole and pasta was the bomb! I went for second servings and it was still good despite me eating when im full!
Javier T — Google review
The Reindeer pie is very good, but the salmon croissant is bad, full of mayonnaise and the croissant is old.
David A — Google review
Tasty food and homemade. 18€ lunch buffet is a good deal.
Aldana A — Google review
There is a museum, there is a café. Arktikum Café offers delicious options for a tea or coffee break when visiting or not the museum. If you fancy some exquisite buffet lunch you can have it for about €16.- (real good value). Refill is available as in any coffee store in Finland. 🥰
Lorena F — Google review
If you want a place that serves real and typical Finnish food, try Arktikum Café! Much better than what they serve tourists in restaurants in the city center. Especially, come for the "lounas", the typical cheap lunch.
Petitpo — Google review

Really good food and very attentive service. I was amazed by the quality of the food and carried away by the Beef Tatar. I can only recommend it!
GK M — Google review
Limited choice but considering its in a remote area, we can allow that. Food were quite salty for most dishes.
Patty P — Google review
We ate there once during our stay and ordered a la carte dinner. Since I didn’t like the vegetarian options, I ordered two pre dishes! A soup, which was super tasty and roasted beetroot with a cheese - since I don’t eat goat cheese (or the vegan one) I asked to leave it and I receive 5 small pieces of cold beetroot for 15€ - in a place like this I would expect to replace it somehow or at least put some bread aside! That was a bit disappointing!
Theresa G — Google review
We stayed at Apukka and ate here a couple times. The breakfast was decadent. There was even a chocolate fondue fountain, for example. A lot of vegetarian or vegan options. For dinner, we ordered the tasting menu once. It was yummy. Flavors were intense but complementary to each other. We especially love their bread. So good. Soft but chewy at the same time. Ordering a la carte is the way to go! The tasting menu doesn't have a vegetarian version but you can survive by picking out the vegetables and eat good food :) Otherwise, there are vegetarian options outside the tasing menu that you can order separately. In short, food and atmosphere are top tier. We conclude, after a week, people know how to cook in Finland.
Jie C — Google review
The mushroom risotto was AMAZING!!! My husband liked his reindeer dish as well. My Cloudberry drink was also very good! We ate here while staying at Apukka. The breakfast buffet here in the mornings is very good and has a lot of options!
Marti W — Google review
Our snowmobile package by Get Your Guide (Wild Nordic as the service provider) included buffet lunch at Restaurant Aitta at Apukka Resort. The vegan and veggie buffet were simply lovely with quality and variety of salads, dressings, awesome tomatoes soup, desserts, coffee etc. It was pure joy to dine here, not because it's buffet but the taste of it all and a wide spread of vegan food 👍😋 Besides buffet, you can opt to order their other a la carte menu which some tables ordered and looked scrumptious too.
Foodrock — Google review
I stayed at the hotel on site for a week and ate here daily for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet offered plenty of options, from cold cuts to a chocolate fountain. Neither are my favorites for breakfast, but they also had eggs and oatmeal. The dinner options were very pricey and not good. Namely, the choices were limited, the meals were served cold and poorly seasoned (wayyy too much salt) and the taste was overall poor (shredded cold/dry reindeer on instant potatoes, previously frozen overcooked fishy fish). Maybe it’s because the hotel is closing soon for the season and they are using up what is left and have the B team chef at work. But if I stayed at this hotel again I would save money and either bring my own food or try to find better options in the area for dinner.
Kim — Google review
Excellent service, super nice staff and well prepared food. The reindeer and moose are a must. Variety of wine and beer is good, perhaps it could be expanded.

Nestled in the heart of Rovaniemi, Korundi Kitchen & Café is a delightful spot that beautifully marries culture and cuisine. Housed in a charmingly refurbished post bus depot, this café serves as both an artful meeting place and a vibrant lunch destination. Open daily for museum visitors, it offers an enticing array of homemade dishes including imaginative salads, savory Lappish pastries like smoked salmon rolls and apple cake, along with seasonal beers available for pre-order during events.
Surprisingly the lunch (buffet style) served here taste good especially not easy to find rice in Finland. Kids also love the food here. Place is clean and comfort.

A surprising find! We were visiting the museum and were hungry and chanced upon the café. Delicious fresh food. We are vegetarian and there was a large tasty array in the buffet. Very good value for money. Friendly informative staff, happy to help :)
NSN — Google review
Nice buffet. Had lots of vegetarian options too. There is a cool but cosy atmosphere. Kid friendly.
Rikhard M — Google review
This lunch buffet is a gem! It has delicious imaginative salads, yummy homemade spreads and condiments such as pickled red onions and cucumber and so much more. Most things are made in house instead of store bought. The bread is soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside and you also get tea/coffee included in the price. If you want a cozy, healthier (and much more tastier) option to burgers and fries, this is the place to go. :) Oh, and most of the things are vegan which was an additional plus.

Nice selections and vibes, very tasty roasted butter!

Nice and cozy lunch restaurant and cafe. Korundi is actually art museum and it is made into old red brick warehouse and therefore this is a real rarity in Rovaniemi. Food is tasty and easy going. In many cases the vegetarian choices are also good. Recommended indeed.

Cafe & Bar 21 is a trendy and stylish cafe and cocktail bar located in the heart of Rovaniemi. It seamlessly blends Lappish ingredients with international flair from cities like New York, Tokyo, and Sydney. The place has become a favorite among both locals and tourists. Additionally, it offers a taste of Lapland cuisine through three-hour tours that include stops at different restaurants for various courses before ending with dessert and cocktails at Cafe & Bar 21.
This is probably the best eatery and cafe in Rovaniemi. Their food is unique and delicious and their deserts are out of this world. Also, for coffee connoisseurs, 21 has the best coffee in town. In my experience, the staff was very professional and helpful. The service is prompt.

A modern cafe with both savoury and sweet options. Waffles are very filling, with a big piece of chicken fried to the perfect texture. There is also a variety of drinks to choose from including both tea and coffee.

Great place for lunch, waffles with salty fillings and salad were very delicious. We had waffles with chicken and skagen filling and they were both great. Salad with chicken was also good. All portions were well sized and took away hunger. Customer service was friendly and the restaurant was clean.

Very good cafe, nice to visit. Hot chocolate is so good. Salmon soup served with Rye bread and butter. Waffle n fried chicken is good

Cute spot to relax or dine. Got the medium ice cream for my preteen-3 different types of ice cream in 1 cup. He couldn’t finish it. Indoor or outdoor seating options

The place looks nice, we however waited 45 minutes for a cold waffle and when my girlfriend kindly asked for “2 fork”, the waitress corrected her “2 forks”. The icecream was also nothing to brag home about. I was dissapointed. It seems nice, but the service is not that nice. The mexican place next door is very good though have been there 2 days ago.

Visitors can enjoy the warm campfire while waiting for the Northern Lights and even have the chance to stargaze with Santa. The menu includes options like hot berry juice, hot chocolate, and a special Dirty Chaga-Chai (Chai latte with a shot of espresso).
One of the highlights of our trip! The homemade marshmallows made by the owners wife are AMAZING, we especially loved the blueberry. The owner was so nice and chatted with us a little while he was making our chai (which was also amazing)! I highly recommend stopping by for a treat!

Campfire Barista is a kind of a "street food stall" making fresh coffee, Gloegi hot drink etc. over wooden fire. They also offer homemade berry marshmallows, which were super tasty. We liked it as it's so traditional and cute. We had a chat with the owner who is good in English and German. He explained that his wife is collection berries for the marshmallows in the woods and that its homemade. It's a must-do in Levi!

The coffee sled was just over the road from Zero Point. Lovely chatting to Steffan too. Thank you for a fantastic experience.

Found upstairs in one of the shopping areas. You can enter from both the inside, and the outside via the wooden steps. There are lots of cakes, and a good choice of hot drinks. The inside of the cafe is VERY small, crowded and cramped. The food and drinks are great but there's definitely a lack of space. Outside there are a few bar tables, but without chairs. Great pralines, we liked white chocolate with pistachio the most. Hot chocolate was a bit disappointing, especially for a place that specializes in chocolate. Also, I found it strange that it was served with a straw.

Coffee House Rovaniemi is a cozy spot to enjoy a variety of cakes, ice creams, and delicious hot and cold drinks. Whether you're looking for a quick bite in the morning or a relaxing evening hangout, this place has got you covered. While it may be slightly pricier than other cafes, the quality of food and beverages makes it worth every penny. The atmosphere is inviting with ample space and friendly staff.
We ordered baileys cappuccino and rocky road. Both of them are nice, so we decided to order two more drinks for takeout. All is good!

This large branch of the Coffee House cafe chain is located at the heart of the downtown area of Rovaniemi. It is quite spacious and offers a good selection of coffees, drinks, and snacks. It is certainly a good place to stop by and recharge before or after a day of activities.
E K — Google review
We were looking for a coffee and a quick bite to eat. Overall, we were a bit disappointed with the coffee and the freshness of the bagels. One was good and the other slightly stale. They needed to be warmed to eat as they come out of the cabinet cold. The coffees are ok but it is not a “real” cappuccino. The seating is ok but not a place where you feel like staying longer. There are better options in the town.
Simon R — Google review
Having literally just arrived in Rovaniemi from the night train, with it so cold and minus 26 outside, we came here to warm up, Great coffee and croissants, service was quick despite it being very busy, We came back several times during our stay, great place to warm up with good choices of cakes and sandwiches and drinks.
Darryl P — Google review
We checked out Coffee House Rovaniemi and tried the Cappuccino and Omenapiirakka (Apple Pie). The Cappuccino was smooth and not acidic. It also came with a small milk chocolate from Karl Fazer (Finnish chocolate) which was good. The Omenapiirakka (Apple Pie) was good with good sized pieces of apples which were fresh, a little tart and not so sweet. Would definitely recommend if looking for an apple pie that focuses on bring out the freshness of the apple instead of relying heavily on the sugar and cinnamon flavouring.

Only after you ordered your drink would they tell you that dogs are not allowed here. If you’re looking for a pet friendly place, go to the espresso house instead. The coffee is better there anyway.

Last December, we had the chance to visit Finland, and we spent an amazing time snowboarding and eating here. This is a truly wonderful family-run business, and I honestly can’t recommend it enough! Although I unfortunately forgot the names of the staff members, I have to mention how incredibly warm and welcoming everyone was. The lovely lady who welcomed us made us feel welcomed right from the very first moment. She was so kind and genuine. At the restaurant, there was a young gentleman who was also extremely friendly and attentive we felt like we were among friends rather than guests. You can really tell that everyone there does their job with passion and love for what they do. It’s rare to experience such authentic hospitality these days, and we are so grateful for it. If you’re looking for a place where you can relax, enjoy amazing service, this is absolutely the place to go.

Tip: you can return your ski pass (card) for a free drink. We were not told this, and this should have been clearer, especially when we were issued the ski pass! We only heard about it as we were trying to refund the pass (as is usually the case in Canada). Cozy restaurant, very comfortable to rest during ski runs. They serve hot and cold beverages and food too, so one can have breakfast, lunch, or a simple snack there at reasonable prices. We had the Soup of the Day (Arctic Char Soup), served with bread and butter. It was quite delicious, though it was a little too sour for our liking (the other Lohikeitto we tried in Finland were not that sour). Apple Glogg was super refreshing - loved the sweet sour taste and was truly a delight for someone who likes sour things! Hot chocolate was good and soothing. The iced latte could have been better with a bit more espresso, as the coffee taste was quite diluted with the milk. All in all, definitely a decent place for a break from the tiring ski slopes!
Nahshon — Google review
Good location next to the ski rental. Great food with local vibes - not so common in ski center bars! Had reindeer burgers, pasta and sandwiches. Also pet dog was welcome and was served some water & biscuits. Fantastic service by Tom - originally from the UK but lived in North Finland years already and knows the culture and language.

No table service, newly renovated in 2023 and very nice ambience, very tasty desserts, I missed the option for a hot chocolate, fine coffees from a coffee machine and no filter coffee. Hostel Cafe Koti is the best hostel I’ve stayed in! It’s in the city center, near most restaurants and tour operators, but quiet. Stayed in a Standard Twin Room with private bathroom and breakfast included. The room was perfect for two people and cozy. The beds were very comfortable too. Breakfast included many homemade items and it was delicious! The Reception staff was amazing! They stored our bags on check-in and check-out days. I also asked for an early breakfast for one day, since our tour started before Cafe Koti opened. The staff left us breakfast bags in the kitchen area and these were complete breakfast bags, not just a drink and a fruit. I was truly impressed. I highly recommend Hostel Cafe Koti. Cheers from the U.S.!

Had a great stay here. Booked the private 2 bed rooms. There’s kettle in the shared kitchen to make hot drinks and also to cook food with. The package I booked comes with breakfast, it wasn’t luxurious but its selection is great, for me it is perfect for what I need.

Well maintained, well located hotel at a reasonable rate. The staff attitude and aptitude are amazing. The reception works only from 7 AM to 7 PM. The restaurant closes at 18 hours. Great place with nice service. The buffet is simple but good. I like the homemade granola on my porridge with the homemade jam. There was a mistake on my key card and I couldn't get in on the second day. But service can in the night and fixed it. As someone who uses a CPAP it would be nice to have a plug free. But it was minor, just unplugged a light.

We have probably been in Levi 4 times a year over the past 10 years, but never found this amazing family cosy cafe/bakery/bistro. You will walk by their door if you don't look for it. Located in the main walking street, in the basement of a building, so not easy to spot. Cosy atmosphere and tasty pizza made with their own sourdough crust, also great fresh baked goods. Good selection of food and coffee. Even REAL Coke, and in a glass bottle. Usually hard to find Coca-Cola in Levi restaurants. This will be our new place from now on. Very happy we found it. Kiitos

Totally overpriced avocado toast. Simple slice of white bread and smashed avocado on top and little garnishes. The staff was incredibly courteous and helpful, even though we didn’t speak the same language. The cafe also offers free Wi-Fi and clean washrooms. I highly recommend visiting this place in Kemi.

We had an amazing visit to this charming cafe—an absolute hidden treasure! The breakfast was tasty and home-made with soul ( fresh bread and porridge). Cheesecake lovers please visit the place! What made the experience truly special is to spot a northern nutcracker right behind the kahvila—such a unique and peaceful moment that made the visit unforgettable. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the cozy atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy the morning. If you're a nature lover or simply in search of a peaceful place to start your day, this cafe is a must-visit.

Torvisen Maja is a charming and rustic café located in an old house without electricity. Managed by a son and his mother, this cozy spot offers delicious homemade pastries, including donuts and various cakes. We adored this little coffee shop managed by a son and his mother. Pastries are mainly homemade and definitely delicious! We adored the donuts and all the other cakes that we tried. We went twice and would have gone even more if we had had the opportunity. Also the tenants are super welcoming and adorable!

By chance we discovered this magical little hut. A nice couple told us a lot about the area and we could taste traditional salmon soup and warm berry juice. They also offer delicious pastries. Nestled in the enchanting Yllas wilderness area, Velhonkota Oy is a delightful cottage café that truly captures the essence of Finnish charm. Accessible from Akaslompolo, it serves as an ideal pit stop for cross-country skiers exploring the stunning landscapes around Yllas mountain. The robust structure features a magnificent fireplace that not only warms visitors but also adds to its cozy ambiance.
Velhonkota in Lapland offers the most incredible pancakes I've ever had! The atmosphere is the perfect blend of cozy and charming. The pancakes were delicious, served with a variety of toppings. It’s definitely a must-visit for anyone in the area!

We visited Velhonkota cafe during the wintertime by cross country skiing. I think it is one of the best "cottage cafes" Ylläs wilderness area has. The location is easy to access from Äkäslompolo but also it is a nice place for a rest when skiing around the Ylläs mountain. The cottage itself is very nice and robust. Its huge fireplace is perfect for spreading warmth and for decoration. You can buy lunch, refreshments, cafe, tea, bun etc. but a "must" is to taste their wonderful thin pancakes with cream and cloudberries. The service is friendly. Pricing is high but one must consider the loacation - everything must be brought there by the snowmobiles during the wintertime. Mind the early closing time during the late spring, when days are longer.

The Wizards Cottage! My absolute favourite cottage in Akaslompolo. Story goes every village used to have a wizard back in the days and this might have been the cottage of the wizard of Akaslompolo (Velon means wizard). It’s round, which makes it extra cozy. There is a little fireplace with a couch in front and some tables to sit on. Great berry juice with free refill and delicious donuts! Pancakes look and smell great too!

Cafe Harianna is a charming spot located next to a lake, offering a delightful experience for visitors. The cafe's outdoor terrace provides stunning views of the lake through its large windows, allowing guests to relax and listen to the soothing sounds of the waves. we stopped here on our way to Inari, the cafe is very rustic and charming and is situated right on the lake with stunning views. The service was very friendly and the food we ordered was; one Pancake with mixed Berry’s and the other pancake with orange berry’s both had a little tablespoon size ice cream and whipped cream on both. Both pancakes were tasty and the berrie compotes on each were good, however could have had a little more ice cream to go with the sharpness of the berries. Next we ordered a slice of Chocolate Cake which was moist and delicious. Another homemade local cake which just was ok. The cappuccino was not very amazing. If you are near this area I would recommend a visit to enjoy the great view of the lake.

This little place saved our day!! After hours of driving, in a land where very few cafes/restos are (and even fewer are opnen on Sundays), Cafe Harianna appeared as a vision, with its cheerful colors and beautiful outside tables and chairs! Plus, the food is excellent: the freshly made pancakes are super (both the salmon and the cloudberries!!). The owner is kind, welcoming and a great cook!! The location is just perfect, right on the lake. And the shop is very nice, too: found some little treasures to bring home. Thank you, little cafe on the lake ❤️

Köpi T — Google review
Alright, fellow road-trippers, if you're navigating through Finland, make a beeline for Cafe Harianna! This delightful little spot was a totally unexpected gem on our journey north, and trust me, it's a must-stop pitstop! I devoured two incredibly fresh pancakes with smoked salmon (pure bliss!), but they also whip up crepes featuring those unique Lappish cloudberries – a real taste of the North. Everything felt homemade and utterly scrumptious! Beyond crepes, they have other tempting pastries to choose from, perfect for satisfying any sweet tooth. The service here is fantastic, and the staff are super friendly, making the whole experience even better. You'll even find some cool souvenirs inside if you need a little memento. Apparently, they're open daily from June to September, so if you're traveling north from Rovaniemi or south towards it, do yourself a favor and pull over here for a top-notch break. Your taste buds (and your travel weary soul) will thank you!

Wht a lovely find in Ivalo! We visited Restaurant Cafe Ivolo for lunch and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The buffet-style setup was a pleasant surprise, offering a great spread of fresh salads, delicious fried fish, creamy chicken, and even dessert pastries. While the selection may not seem huge, the quality and variety were excellent. Plus, for just €38 for two people, it’s an incredible value—especially in Finland! One of the most memorable parts of our visit was the warm hospitality of the owners. We were craving rice, and to our surprise, the boss personally cooked fresh rice for us at no extra cost—a truly kind and thoughtful gesture that made us feel so welcomed. Oh, and just a little bonus for those who appreciate good-looking people—the boss and the server are really handsome (just saying! 😉). The café itself is spacious, cozy, and inviting, with comfortable sofa seating for those who just want to relax with a coffee. They serve premium coffee and a great selection of teas, but these are at an additional cost, as are the cakes and donuts—perfect if you’re in the mood for a little extra indulgence. Really nice rest stop in a long drive to Inari. Rest rooms, cafe and friendly service

What a great find and highly recommended from the food available and the friendly and helpful owners. As soon as we walked in the owner already was getting the coffee ready for us. We were 2 cold looking cyclists though but it was a surprise. The cinnamon knots were freshly baked - yum. We had a slice of salmon quiche and a slice of spinach quiche. Both were excellent. The service was definitely not typical Finnish as one of the owners is Scottish and is happy to have a chat and to give recommendations on the area.

Freshly baked cakes and soup were so delicious. Service was very warm and friendly. The perfect pitstop that we (two adults and three dogs) will never miss in the future.

Stopped by chance but very glad we did. Lovely place with home made food. Fish soup was chunky and tasty. Feta and spinach pie was excellent accompanied by great salad. The couple who own the place are very welcoming and certainly doing a good job with this place. Well worth stopping here and will do again if we are on this road.

Ravintola Väylä is a popular spot for lunch, known for its friendly staff and delicious burgers and fries. The place is clean and well-maintained, making it a pleasant dining experience. It also offers a kid's menu, making it family-friendly. In addition to burgers, they serve tasty sandwiches, cheesecake, and coffee. The menu includes options like vegetarian dishes and chevre chicken that receive high praise from diners who thoroughly enjoyed their meals.
Loved the burger, the staff was very nice, called me and my brother handsome young lads. Otherwise very friendly as well. An unexpected find in a small village like this

We went here for lunch twice and we liked the place a lot. The staff was very friendly and the burgers and fries very good, exactly what we needed. Everything is very clean and makes a good appearance.
Hagerer H — Google review
I had the chiliburger with fries, dipp, and a coke. Great burger and generous servings of both the main course and the dipp. Almost an endless amount of burger options, and I do recommend my burger of choice. There's other than burgers on the menu. However, my company and I had different burgers of the menu, and everyone was happy and content after our visit. We really enjoyed our experience and the service was great. Suitable for families with kids, couples, and someone who likes a good burger with no excess grease but great taste. The burger almost came across as a (easy to cut) filé. Have a drink (bring a date!), have a steady lunch or dinner here. They also offer pastries and souvenir-like candy options for purchase. Väylä gives a good restaurant feeling. It's beautiful with creative detail and has a bar vibe to it (in a good way). The sound level was a little intense in the area next to the cash register. I reckon the other saloon on the right-hand side from the entrance will give you a very pleasant experience without the busy backdrop.

Hidden gem in Pyhä . We went for cake, lunch and dinner. There times during our one week stay! Lot of gluten and Laktose free cake options. For lunch we had a very tasty reindeer soup and dinner was delicious. We had the salmon soup and fish tapas followed by the lemon pike risotto and some more cake. My 9 year old son loved their soups and they have quiche and mini pizzas as well. Service is very attentive . Unfortunately it doesn’t get the traffic it deserves .. go visit and enjoy!
Irene C — Google review
Cozy café with fantastic cakes, homemade sweets, amazing bread, tasty lunch & dinner, a big variety of drinks. Best brunch to get (saturday & sunday). Very kind and helpful staff. We visited Neidon Sydän every day of our holidays & will be missing it a lot!

A restaurant where you try local cuisine, such as moose or reindeer meat. You will like the place especially if you are a tourist. The offered dishes are unique for the area and I surely can't go for them at my country. One of the things that surprised me was lighted menu. Pieces of paper placed on LED base. I didn't see this kind of solution for menu before and I find it very practical and original. There is a big offer of deliciously looking cakes. So whatever you go for, there will probably still be a place for a desert in your stomach. Count with slightly higher prices.

Easiest 5 stars of our Lapland trip so far. The food uses local ingredients but uses them in a nicely different way than most other places nearby. Can really recommend the roach sandwich. They also have a tasty choice of cakes and pies.

Easy five star! Lunches are served from the counter, and dinner is table service. I recommend both. The chef clearly is highly skilled and creative, giving you innovative takes on the typical Finnish ingredients. The menu changes frequently, so the options likely will differ between visits. Coffees are made with skill as well. The pastries are gorgeous, but I haven’t tried them yet.

Visitors can enjoy friendly service and activities for children while indulging in delicious options such as soup of the day and healthy treats.
I was there today for coffee and something small to eat, great food and tea. The best hot chocolate in town. Prices are good considering is Lappland. Behind the place there’s a small mountain where people slide with the kids. There’s also reindeer to watch. Great place for kids and family.

No vegetarian lunch choices, except a cold „omelette“ sandwich. The reindeer outside are cute, but there are many nicer wilderness cafes around.

We visited Aurinkotupa cafe during the wintertime by cross country skiing. It is one of the "cottage cafes" of Ylläs wilderness area, thoug the location is not far from the nearest settlement. You can also came by car there. The cottage itself is very nice timberwood hous. You can buy lunch, refreshments, cafe, tea, hot chocklate, bun etc. The service is friendly. Pricing is high but it is Lapland. The place has activities for the children. It is quite popular because its location and easy ski tracks leading there.

Sweetest little Cafe! The cats are so sweet and calm, 2 of them very cheeky though. Good stop to get away from the cold, specially cause you get to take off your shoes, put some slippers on and pet cats 😊
Celine B — Google review
Who knew-there are car cafes all around the world! Sometimes cat cafes are a way to socialize cats to get them adopted which serves a higher purpose but I think this one is simply a cafe where you can pet their cats if you have a hankering for playing with someone's cats. Anyway, the coffee is good, the cats are social.
Jennifer M — Google review
Nice place. The cats are very calm and like being petted. When entering the cafe, your shoes must be taken off. The interior looks a very minimalistic, slightly sterile.

Oy Levi Restaurants Ltd is a café that offers pleasant outdoor seating made of glass, providing customers with an enjoyable view of the sloping landscape. Their black coffee is of high quality and their doughnuts are decent. The cheesecake they serve is also delightful. However, during winter holidays, the café tends to be overcrowded. Nevertheless, it remains a convenient spot for patrons looking to grab some refreshments in a cozy setting.
Very central place (just in front of the slopes). The service was very friendly and the food was good for the price paid ! I would recommend the feta and salmon bowl !

Cafe Zero is a nice and spacious place to have a few beers or mulled wine at the end of a day of skiing. It also serves a variety of typical ski resort food, like french fries with chicken "Kanakori". The service was friendly - no table service though. Even though the place was full when we visited, we managed to get a table by asking around. The location is central, next to the front slopes lifts. There is a large ski-equipment rental and sportswear store in the same building.

Purrfect Angel is a cozy spot that's perfect for satisfying your sweet cravings. They offer vegan and gluten-free options, along with a variety of coffees and high tea. Visitors can enjoy the company of adorable and sociable cats while indulging in delicious snacks and tea. It's an ideal place to unwind after a day of activities, especially during snowy seasons. Although some feel that the food portions could be larger, the overall experience is delightful for cat lovers and dessert enthusiasts alike.
(Translated by Google) Absolutely wonderful place: Good snacks and tea, as well as cute and social cats! (Original) Aivan ihana paikka: Hyvää pikkupurtavaa ja teetä, sekä suloisia ja sosiaalisia kissoja!
Nea S — Google review
The cats are adorable and like to play and be petted. The food tasted good but portions could be larger. Very centric, a nice place to relax after the activities in the snow!
José S — Google review
The prices are good for Rovaniemi and the cats are fun and active, which makes me want to put two stars instead, but the negatives are too severe, unfortunately. The food is a bit mediocre, but worth the price. On the other hand, the cats are completely out of control, they jump on the table, put paws in your drink, steal your food CONSTANTLY, and even though the only effort the staff is giving to stop it is to take the cats away for two minutes and then walk away. When I tried to play with the orange cat, I noticed that their claws are completely untreated, so it mildly damaged my jeans and basically destroyed my 200 euro leather jacket. The hygiene standarts of the place are also highly questionable, as the customers do not have to take off their shoes or cover them, and the cats walk around the dirty floors and have free access to walk on the tables and the staff barely does anything to prevent them from touching or stealing the food. Could probably be worth it if you just come for a tea or to play with the cats, but even for that there are barely any toys (consider as none at all) to play with the cats. The design of the place is very cheap and underground, not sure if on purpose or not. I am certainly never coming back.
Kristian T — Google review
(Translated by Google) Relaxed, shabby interior. The chocolate cake was good (pst. Vegan!), you could also get cocoa made with oat milk. The cats are wonderful, one came to be petted. The downside is that the waiter was wearing make-up in the cafe, which felt strange, maybe relaxed and homey in some people's opinion? The service is a bit pushy. (Original) Rento, nuhjuinen sisustus.
Perhe R — Google review
(Translated by Google) Dirty, the tables and floors are sticky for some reason, the waiter/owner is not a good customer service person. Coffee tastes burnt, make it ok. For some reason, the owner's acquaintances/friends are there putting on make-up, making noise and dancing?? I was trying to drink coffee, so one of them came next to me and started yelling about someone passing by in the yard, slapping me in the ear at the same time. Not a quiet coffee place, the prices are high compared to the quality. I will avoid the place by far in the future. (Original) Likainen, pöydät ja lattiat tahmeat jostain syystä, tarjoilija/omistaja ei osaava asiakaspalvelija. Kahvi palaneen makuista, tee ihan ok. Jostain syystä omistajan tutut/kaverit paikalla meikkaamassa, meluamassa ja tanssimassa?? Kahvia yritin juoda niin yksi heistä tuli viereeni ja alkoi huutamaan jostain ohikulkijasta pihalla, huitaisi minua samalla korvaan. Ei rauhallinen kahvipaikka, hinnatkin korkiat laatuun nähden. Vältän tulevaisuudessa paikan kaukaa.
Johannes R — Google review
(Translated by Google) Cats are fine, otherwise the place was very cramped. The coffee was weak and lukewarm, the tea was said to be very good. The scones were dry and crumbly, you couldn't spread jam on them (Original) Kissat ihan ok, muuten paikka oli kovin ahdas. Kahvi oli laihaa ja haaleaa, tee oli kuulemma oikein hyvää. (Translated by Google) We stopped for lunch around noon. Homely atmosphere, clean place, nice diners. I probably should have tried the smoked reindeer on pizza - I had chicken and goat cheese as a topping. The goat cheese was good, but the chicken was seasoned with some curry spice and didn't match the flavor of the goat cheese. The base was good, just the right thin, and just the right amount of cheese. My lunch buddy liked his ham pizza. (Original) Pysähdyimme lounaalle puolenpäivän aikaan. Kotoinen tunnelma, siisti paikka, mukavasti ruokailijoita. Nice place and staff overall. Smoked whitefish available for sale (25 €/kg), along with sandwiches, sweets, ice cream and souvenirs. The toilet, which is in a separate building and costs 1€ to use (free for customers), looks like it has stuck some 50-60 years back in time, but the seats themselves are clean like at home; kudos for that. However, it is worth stopping to see the fishermen at work!

(Translated by Google) A beautiful place, watching the fishermen was breathtaking, at night a peaceful sleep for 20 euros (Original) Krásné místo , pozorování rybářů bylo úchvatné , v noci klid přespání za 20 eur

(Translated by Google) Nice little cafe, big scoops of ice cream. Too bad dogs weren't welcome inside.. (Original) Kiva pieni kahvila, isot jäätelöpallot. Harmi kun koirat eivät olleet sisälle tervetulleita..

Cute cafe to grab something before your bus! There were soup, sandwiches and Finnish donuts too. Lovely souvenirs too!

I stumbled upon this hidden gem while waiting for my bus to Ivalo and I'm so glad I did. The affordable buffet was an absolute steal and the soups were delicious. The lovely owners made me feel right at home and even gave me some tips for travelling in Finland. If you're passing through Inari, definitely stop by for a filling and affordable meal.

cafe that is open early compared to other restaurants in Ivalo. They have pastries and coffee drinks as well as some gifts

Agree with last post, has minimum stuff here. Has free open WiFi and let's me sit inside with bags!

The bare minimum that is required. Very clean and tidy, but the food was old and unappetizing. But serves it's role as bus station in an excellent way.

It provides an not expensive and good taste breakfast at my travel route in Ivalo, the location is at the county side of Finland

Small cafe with view sweet and savory options and of course coffee/tea. Quick shop while transferring busses

Elämänluukku Ylläs is an esteemed cafe situated along the skiing tracks of Akaslompolo. This quaint establishment takes pride in upholding traditional practices, sourcing their baked goods and delicacies from nearby sources. However, the true standout feature is their wild juice bar. Unlike other cafes in the area, Elämänluukku Ylläs avoids gaudy decorations and instead offers authentic working spaces reminiscent of a Finnish logging hut.
My favorite cafe on the skiing tracks of Äkäslompolo! No tacky decorations, but authentic working spaces and bunks of past. You can feel the atmosphere of an old Finnish logging hut. The space is bare and beautiful with some old logging tools on the walls. For a vegan traveler there is not much to eat. The staff were genuinely interested on improving the menu and asked for tips on how to serve their vegan guests better! A must place to visit if you are moving around Äkäslompolo.

Nice little hut to warm up during your cross country skiing trip. My recommendation are their delicious salmon sandwiches. Enjoy!

Very nice authentic place for a drink and a snack, or more. Stop by on your snow scooter, cross country ski trip or just take your car there. Super hosts.
