The bathrooms are in the shrank like something from The Lion, Witch and Wardrobe! Seriously, you have to walk through the hangers and clothes to get to the Toiletten! Food is Great here, coffee and tea is excellent. Best tea around. Wonderful cozy place with great people. I give it 4 for needing a deep clean. It is awesome but a little tired looking.

Waited about 2 hours for food, service is fine but the wait is a issue, don’t recommend, also the prices are to expensive 18,90€ for two Brötchen a bit of cheese and a egg.

We were looking forward to brunch here, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed by how we were treated. We initially sat at a small table while waiting for a better one. When a larger table became available, we moved there. Shortly after, two other guests arrived with a waitress, who asked us to move — even though the table wasn’t reserved. I asked if it was booked, and the waitress said: “No, but they wanted to sit there, and I promised them the seats.” This felt extremely disrespectful, especially since we were already seated and other tables were available. When I tried to express how uncomfortable this felt, I received no apology, no explanation, and no effort to help us find a solution. Instead, she told me I could speak directly to the other guests — essentially putting her responsibility onto us. When I pointed out that it was her job to handle the situation, she simply turned her back and walked away. As foreign visitors, we couldn’t help but feel that we were treated with less respect than others. The food was good, but the overall experience was ruined by unprofessional and dismissive service. I hope the staff receives better training in how to treat guests fairly and respectfully.

Wonderful!!!! Very creatively decorated with doors everywhere from walls to the ceiling and a bathroom that appears like a wardrobe!!!!! Crazy!!!!! Cosy in a wonderful location close to town and living areas. Very very nice assortment of beverages, whose ingredients can also be bought. The carrot cake was like a whole meal!!!!! Not too good though but not bad either..... Nice and helpful staff. And...... affordable 😁

You gotta stand in the queue because it's a really popular brunch place. Besides, their menu is rather diverse with brunch options from many different cuisines. The price is pretty expensive for students tho, but comes with quality food and a huge portion.

What can I say, we loved it, so nice to have such a huge variety of brunch offers and cakes, and the majority of the food is vegan or has a vegan alternative. We sat in the little old flair rose garden, but the inside of the cafe is very unique as well. The food and the cakes were delicious. We are definitely coming back to try out the other brunch options at cafe Resonanz. Great that Kiel has such places to offer.

We were maybe 20 people there for a business dinner. This is obviously a challenge for any restaurant, but they mastered this very well. The food came in a timely fashion, and nobody had to wait. Impressive. Friendly staff. Will definitely return.

Date night, had a plate for two people. The grilled meat assortment of pork, beef and ente with Pommes, mushrooms and french beans was amazing and filling.Ooh and the service! If you plan to eat here, please book in advance! A VERY popular spot on a nice day and everyone in Kiel seems to know to book ahead. All reservations will be put ahead of you, even if you are waiting at the door and see tables free. We waited for quite some time before being seated and were only seated after checking in with pretty rude, nonchalant staff at least 3 times. We nearly walked away. But once seated, staff were generally attentive and friendly. Drinks were served quickly. Meals were slow - but they were also very busy. So don't eat here if you are under time pressure. Perfect place to sit 'ON' the ocean, enjoy the sunshine, view and a nice meal and a few drinks with friends. A better system is needed for people without reservations, who are willing to wait at your door for a table.

Good food, a wide variety of drinks. I had the fish fillet with potatoes and bacon with a nice side of aioli. The truffle burger was good too. We had a nice cold swim in the sea after our meal, which cost €3.50 each.

it was sooo pretty! the ambience and the location was so nice and a great view while you eat. staff were helpful and its such an amazing place to go on a sunny day. you can also swim there by the way. the food was yummy and the homemade lemonades were refreshing. although its normally crowded so its probably better to reserve in advance

All in all it was a great experience, the food was just perfect and the service too. Even though I had to wait for an hour for my food because it was really a full house, I had a good time. A must visit in Kiel💕💕💕

Bought a schnitzel burger the meat was really dry. Also bought a strawberry daiquiri, which didn’t taste like strawberries at all and had so much alcohol that I couldn’t taste anything else far too strong.

Me and my party enjoyed our visit for a late lunch. We had various dishes including caesar salad and burger. Everyone was satisfied. I would expect this to be a good place to visit for drinks as well, as many reviews attest. On Sundays they've got a brunch special we didn't try. We had contact with a good English speaking staff that happily chatted with us, relayed info, took orders, answered questions. There was a wait, but only because of previous orders. There are several people in the staff active at any one time, so we had no problem getting someones attention. The location is great, wand has a pretty large outdoor seating area. On a hot summers day a little bit of waiting is to be expected, if arriving about the time of the á la carte menu in the afternoon.

Very cozy and warm restaurant and bar. Friendly and smiling staff. Prices are accurate in terms of what you get. My wife and I both went with a pizza, which was very well-baked with a thin and delicious crust, while the topping, however, was bland and without much taste. Drinks was well-made. They are worth a visit! 👍

I got my pizza and cocktail probably within 6 minutes or so from my order. Pizza was very tasty with plenty of ingredients, the dough was very soft. The cocktail was a little too sweet for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. 18€ for both. In combination with the pleasant atmosphere, I would definitely recommend.

Nice place, has been a fixture in the restaurant world of Kiel for years. Service is good - and the drinks prices are reasonable. Food tends to be ever so slightly overpriced, though, but the quality usually is Ok. If you want to go there after 6 pm, make sure you have a table reservation, since this place fills up quickly.

Very nice location, great view over the port. Very friendly staff, great selection of beverages, Coffee and Beer. The menu is small but very well made, tasty and reasonably priced. Only four stars due to the (mostly) very limited choice of just Brownie, Spanish Almond and Cheesecake.

The food was delicious, the beer was perfect and the staff were friendly, professional and attentive. Highly recommended.

Had I nice American coffee here today, the service was excellent and very helpful. I had a very nice chat with the "Chef" in English, I even ordered a T- shirt 👕 😀 The design is perfect for me as " an old man" when i go fishing. Really worth a visit.

It must be one of the best restaurants in Kiel. The environment is very nice, especially in summer, the Terrasse will be a nice place for cooling in the evening. The food is very good. The bodegas is Spanish food system. Each food is in small portion in a clay bowl which means in one meal you can have more choice to taste more variable food. Datiles con panceta and pisto de gambas are recommended. The other food can be chosen as wished. Helado as dessert is recommended, there are several tastes.

Service was very good--friendly cashier and barista. Cappuccinos were palatable, although coffee could have been a bit stronger. We also had croissants, which I'm sad to say were not the best. Very fatty and not thoroughly baked inside. Really missed those crispy and airy croissants from France; the German versions taste more like bread. That said, we enjoyed our experience sitting outside in the shade. I would return and try other products.

A cosy place to sit and unwind. They have many coffee segments while preparing. They roast their own coffee beans there, you can see them too.

We like it here. It's cozy but sometimes a bit loud. They have a few vegan options. Unfortunately the soy milk curdles in their coffee. Cashew milk is fine but I personally love the Nepal Malty Magic tea and order that instead of coffee.

I love the vibes of the place. The structure.... it's like a really old torn up place.... from the walls to the furniture but I think they did it with intention . It's really shabby chic....... the service is great the chocolate orange cake I had was awesome and so was the freshly squeezed orange juice!!!!!! From the front the place always looks full so don't just leave without asking the staff if there are free tables, and be early enough, they close at 18U.😊

Why did I go here? I guess I was looking forward to some healthy vegan food, which would make me happy and not just fill my belly. The restaurant was open but the kitchen was not open until half an hour later. The food was extremely heavy and fatty and I had problems with my stomach more than a day after eating. The fries were so greasy I had to throw half in the garbage. This is how the food looks like in reality without editing the images. Grey and dead.

We were looking for a nice vegetarian option and this place has amazing vegetarian or vegan mexican food. All at the table were super happy and enjoyed the food. Great option for those looking to get healthy veggie food!

Awful experience! The Baristas were Janice and her bigger Colleage. They thought it would be a great Idea to take out their phone in front of the customers and showing each others youtube videos instaed of preparing the coffee, than the started joking around and doing all sort of things except their job, I've never waited so long for a coffee at StarBucks. Than as one Customers obviously wasn't happy about that they started moking her in front of all other customers which is a unacceptable Situation!

This branch is located about 10-15 minutes away from the train station (by foot). Friendly staff, always one of my favorites!

The shop closes at 6pm and at 5.30pm all chairs were up and staff was extremely unfriendly. They told us we could sit for 10 minutes, at most. How does that even work? Also, the coffee was absolutely horrible, I couldn’t drink more than 2 sips. Never had such a terrible experience at a Starbucks.

I‘ve been to Mum&Dad several times. And felt comfortable and at ease each visit. The atmosphere is warm. The coffee is excellent (as are the other things on the menu). It genuinely is one of those special places where you unwind alone or with friends. And they have recently renovated. I suggest discovering it for the first time or re-discovering it.

This is my best found recent weeks. Delicious breakfast in quite corner of Kiel, variety of breakfast /brunch menu is enough to satisfy any whimsical taste! Coffee roast absolutely high quality ! Some colleagues and I stopped here for breakfast on our road trip to Bonn. The food was excellent with really good quality ingredients. The service and ambience was great too. I can recommend their full breakfast and the smoked salmon sandwich.

We went here during a one day visit to Kiel. Chosen by using Google and it looked very cozy and expected great atmosphere and service. We got the atmosphere but the service and produce was quite disappointing. The three coffees we got were all cold. The cakes, one out of three very good, the two others nothing to praise, it was cake. Moreover, when complaining about the cold coffee the host (owner?) started arguing if it was “cold cold”, whatever that means. We bought hot coffee but was left having to defend the fact the coffee wasn’t hot. Not the best way to solve this issues. Anyhow, the payment was reduced but we would rather had avoided this incident and paid full price for tasty cake and hot coffee, which we had ordered.

Had a great brunch there, followed by cake, it looked nice and was very tasty. I am happy, that Kiel has such a modern vegan/vegetarian cafe. At our visiting time, we also managed to catch the little exhibition inside, that was also cool to see, that this cafe collaborates with the art school students.

We had a lovely vegan brunch. The plate was delicious, filling and with lots of variety. We aware that at the weekend they do not serve lunch, but they serve brunch until closing time. We will definitely be back!

Nice cafe for chilling out. They offer coffee (EUR 1 for the small normal coffee), tea, and chocolate (EUR 2,40 for the small cup). In addition, they offer cakes. We tried the banana chocolate cake (EUR 3) and it was nice. We could taste real banana within.

Awesome food and a big variety to choose from. In the sunny days you can enjoy the weather outside but it is also confortable inside. Definitively coming back!

Super sweet beautiful place, small oasis in the city center! Tasty, homemade, familiar atmosphere.

We waited and waited for basic service. An older man asked if we were still missing anything, and when we told him what we were missing, he raised his voice and scolded us as if we did something wrong. He said we shouldn’t have ordered anything other than the buffet, because they don’t have enough staff to accommodate anything other than what’s served at the buffet. We explained that we were offered that option by his staff. He scolded us further saying there were 150 customers (we definitely did not see 150 people) but only 6 staff members as if it was our fault. He was probably feeling manly raising his voice to a table of 15 women. If he felt so comfortable speaking to customers this way, imagine how he treats his staff. I feel sorry for anyone working with this person.

We came a Saturday midday and waited in the entrance for about 10 min but nobody greeted us. Si we expected we must search a table ourselves. Here we waited another 20 min and nobody served us. Staff was not even visible. Next to us was a bar with a coffee machine but also here nobody worked. We went out after 30 min. I give a star because we could sit 20 min in a nice garden and use toilets. Our coffee then got at another place in the same street.

The grilled meat and vegetables tasted amazing. The staff were really accommodating to our 4 girls, making waffles for them playing in the sand. It's a fantastic place!!

Maybe I am spoiled but I prefer table service especially when you charge high prices. I do have to add I am used to Melbourne hospitality and it seems to have set a high bar. For no table service I simply find the prices too high, working in the coffee industry I know the prices and this appears too high without having the staff costs.
