Top notch seafood restaurant. The menu isn't huge, but the dishes we ate were very good. I had the seared tuna - the waiter did warn me that it was very lightly seared - and my wife had lemon sole fillets. Both were beautifully prepared and the helpings were generous.

This was the best meal we had after 4 days in Bremerhaven. We came to find out that it has been owned and operated by the same family for over 70 years. Really cool atmosphere inside - like eating on a cozy, fancy ship, but we opted to sit on the terrace since the weather was so nice. The service was outstanding with a very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable staff. Everything is made in-house with inventive, seasonal ingredients. Flavors were mild enough to let the ingredients shine and robust enough to not need salt or any other seasonings. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a relaxing and delicious meal in Bremerhaven. We also learned that the menu can change as frequently as every couple of weeks depending on available ingredients (with several popular items served year-round like their 2 different styles of delicious German potatoes). If I lived there I would visit often to check out new items and flavor profiles. Overall an experience.

The place advertise safe Gluten-free meals, but once inside the option is really restricted to one not more than 4-5 options on the menù. The fish seems to be not fresh when cooked and still, the plates we chose were still not at the level of this restaurant...and, 140€ for 4 persons with no wine is really too much. The place is very chic, with local food, very well prepared, tasty and good. I am coeliac, the personal were attentive and prepared for any questions during plates ordination. On the other hand, the price is also high, at the same standard you eat. Good and expensive. For a special occasion worth it. To be improved, maybe the time of food preparation...(I mean, sometimes with kids is more difficult to wait) and, we asked a prosecco and received another wine, not even sparkling. Having a full wine wall inside, we thought they would be prepared. Again, maybe was only a random mistake...

It's horrible. This is all a very typical example of a tourist place killing a restaurant. People walk along the embankment, people come in anyway, there are a lot of tourists, so you don’t have to worry about quality. The second point is the lack of competition. The restaurant presents itself as a gourmet restaurant, and there are a couple of such restaurants in the city. Therefore, again, you don’t have to worry about quality - there is no competition. In any big city, such a restaurant would immediately go bankrupt with such a menu and such quality of service. I absolutely do not recommend it, terrible service, terrible quality and terrible prices.

The atmosphere was excellent. Service is so so due to language barrier. It was a busy restaurant but the waiter was attentive. The fish is delicious but I think the risotto was a bit raw. It would be a perfect dish if it is cook a bit longer. Lobster soup was ok, I prefer a slightly thicker version. The butter for bread was delicious. It was a wonderful date night , dessert was nice, sunny evening 🥰

Bit pricey/upscale but definitely one of the best, maybe even the best depending on your taste, restaurant(s) in Bremerhaven and surroundings. Food menu has a nice selection of seafood but rotates it's menu every other month so there's always something new. Their drinks are OK-ish, there is some room for improvement on the cocktail selection and quality\preparation, the Gin selection is 👌though. Seating is nice and cozy in the winter and has a *really* nice view of the harbor when sitting outside in the summer.

For Bremerhaven circumstances not cheap, but appropriately priced (app. 40 € p. person with drinks). Cheaper lunch options available on weekdays. Highly recommended.

I had one of the greatest experiences in Germany so far. Friendly servers, offered me English menu. A delicate rose on the table with beautiful lighting. I had the shrimp with aioli. I also had the bbq ribs with fries. The ribs were excelent and way bigger than expected. Overall a 5 from someone traveling from US Florida.

Had a lovely Saturday night date with my partner in the restaurant. The atmosphere was really nice and relaxing. Service is not good nor bad, just okay. Food was amazing, except the tagliatelle pasta with pork strips, it was okay. I think it was a hit and miss item. We ordered the starter plate that had the bruschetta, flammini, and prawns. Very, very good - highly recommended. Partner ordered pork medallions, yummy! And we had the chocolate lava dessert with ice-cream and small glasses of desserts, they were pretty good! Would recommend for a nice day out. Remember to make a reservation as they get full pretty fast.

We were a large group (about 20) but the staff handled this very well. My colleagues recommended to try Grünkuhl and I was not disappointed.

TLDR long waiting times combined with uninspired food If you come here take time with you because everything is combined with long waiting. The food is uninspired and quite tasteless. Freshness or creativity gone missing in the kitchen. Whats a plus is that they support food sharing and the service is kind.

The special thing of the place is to be in the port area, custom free zone to be more precise, this is the place where in the past a lot of Germans left the country to the Americas. The menu is huge, the place has a lot of marine memories everywhere, so this things make the place something to visit!

Interesting tavern in Bremerhaven port area. I can't say to much about food, I ate only one, traditional called Labskaus (so called original german seaman dish), strange but tasty, BUT the bismarck herring (part of this dish) was absolutely genious, not like from the jars from the stores. However they have wide choice of dishes, both with meat (pork, beef) and fishes/seafood. Beer Haake Beck decent, thats regular softer pilsner. Nice, atmospheric interior decor.

Had a reservation for 10, they played dumb saying it is only for 4 people. Guess counting is not their strong suite, they were unapologetic and had no intention whatsoever to help to accommodate us. Never had such poor experience dining out. We left without drinking or eating anything.

It's probably a nice place for food if you eat meat, but as a vegetarian, your choices are very limited, as most meat-free dishes contain cheese, and they were not able to confirm if the cheese was vegetarian or contained rennet, which Gouda and Parmesan do, for example. That said, the rest of my group were happy with their dishes, and the conservatory is a very lovely space to sit.

Got a dinner reservation at the restaurant at the very last minute on a Saturday evening. Restaurant was nice and cosy. The team was good and attentive. Food was nice as well. Would recommend booking a table in advance for weekend nights as the restaurant gets very busy.

Service was terrible. Our primary waiter was nice enough and helpful at first. After our food came we didn’t see him again for well over an hour. After tracking someone down (twice), in an attempt to order coffee and get out leftovers wrapped, an angry busser came and loudly stacked our plates declaring that our silverware wasn’t positioned correctly to cue the servers we were done. He realized we were foreigners and loudly lectured us on how the practice of placing utensils on your plate was “universal.”(this is not that common in the States). We tried to talk over him to order our coffee but they never brought them to us. I saw other tables equally frustrated at the lack of attention. Food was so-so and way over-priced for what it was. The salad was literally swimming in dressing and the fish was unremarkable. Would not recommend primarily because of the terrible service and pissy busser but the food was nothing to write home about either, especially considering the price-point.

Food was good and plenty, but the (Greek) lady (apparently co-owner) didn't quite understand our orders (brought water instead of beer). Even so, would definitely go there again. Lamb filet with baked potatoes was delicious and scalloped turkey looked really good.

Disappointing based on the previous reviews. Though the staff were welcoming and service was good, the food was disappointing. A steak ordered medium was almost well-done and more tough than it should have been. Overall, the food was oily and somewhat bland. This would not be a bad place for a quick meal with low expectations, similar to a pub meal, but there was nothing we experienced that was worth more than 3 stars.

We were there with a big group which seemed to be a problem at first, but then we could arrange a table. The fish plates were good, although the fish was a little to dry according to our feeling. Not happy with latest visit. Though chilly we were not allowed to sit inside. The young girl at the counter referred to shortage of staff. Not many guests to serve but we expierienced delay in taking the order. Table was not clean plus the ashtrash (flowerpot upside down) full and not removed. Fish was good as expected, fried patato slices were a mixture of old and new ones with burned onion pieces inbetween.

I recently came to Bremerhaven to see the U-Boat Technical museum and decided to try Der Wasserschout for some lunch. Even though I speak very little German, the staff were more than accommodating, plus the portion sizes are wonderful, not to mention the taste! I would like to give it 4.5. A very nice restaurant and a-must-go-to when you're in town. We went there with no expectations and were pleasantly surprised. We hadn't booked a table so we had to sit outside (book a table if you want to be sure to sit inside). The waitress was nice and helpful. They don't have many beers to choose from. And when the food came...wow. It was just that good. Ok, I was very hungry but it was so good. Not that expensive considering the quality of the food. The manager refused, saying she didn’t want to move them back later – which felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. My schnitzel was undercooked – this was not about color or being near the bone, it was genuinely raw inside in some parts. My friend’s meal was completely bland and unenjoyable. When staff asked if everything was okay, we politely shared our concerns. Instead of offering a solution, they responded with, “I didn’t cook it, I’m not the chef,” which came across as defensive and dismissive. From start to finish, this was a bad experience – rude and unfriendly staff, poor service, and tasteless, undercooked food.

Just a really refreshing and tasty burger joint. They had great beers and wonderful tasting burgers. Right on the Grand Platz and easily recognizable. American steak is my personal favorite choice, even though its not an Italian dish.. my friends had tuna and were also very happy with it..panna cota is one of the best I've ever tasted. Nice restaurant in the heart of Bremerhaven, next to theatre and art museum. A lot of photos and placate on the walls, which are nice conversation starters. The food is good and portions are pretty large, so you will not leave hungry. We made a reservation for 10 people, and asked for the place in the back of the hall. Dat Fischhus, Bremerhaven, Fiedlers Fishmarket Anno 1906 So we did a quick day trip to Bremerhaven, about 59km from Bremen. Known for its harbour and various activity centres. Also of course famous for Seafood from the North Sea. Walking past about a dozen or so restaurants & fish shops, I picked the “Dat Fischhus” based on the menu hanging in their window! Didn’t have a proper Grey Shrimp Soup for Ages, and the “Gebratene Scholle & Büsumer Krabben mit Bratkartoffeln, Zwiebel & Speck” caught my fancy! “Whole Plaice, pan roasted with Home-fried Potatoes & Bacon, Grey Shrimps” So, once again the lesson, no matter how well you write a menu, describe a dish, if the cook can’t deliver, then oh well…… The soup was flat, and I could count the grey shrimps, about a dozen of tiniest, weeniest shrimps in a soup which was quite flat, had a dollop of whipped cream no seasoning to be proud off, and 2 slices of basically stale bread! Bummer. 3.5 out of 10 at best For the main course: The fish was actually perfectly cooked to the bone! But that’s where it stopped! The coating was greasy , and had no seasoning! The grey shrimps were cold, just sprinkled on top! But the real downer were the potatoes! Zero seasoning, pan fried in swimming oil, the Onions were missing, the chopped bacon put aside of the potatoes, absolutely terrible! The side salad, which was under the fish, was respectively flat and warm! This cook needs some serious talking to! 4 out of 10 Service was good, the lady in charge did her thing well enough. Cafe Latte was Nestle, not nespresso, and served in what looked like a Soup Tureen without handle There was me, alone, half way through another couple entered in the entire restaurant! Wasn't overly impressed. I had a "Scholle Finkenwerder Art" (plaice with bacon and fried potatoes) and a glass of white wine. The fish tasted bland, was quite soggy and overly greasy. The fried potatoes seemed a bit too uniform to be "real" and I have the strong suspicion they came from a can... The wine was just plain horrible.

The venue is really nice, decor and all really gave a fisherman’s house’s feel to it. They have a second floor with equally nice decor. The covid protocol is followed well, tables with spacing so no occupied table is next to each other. Service is fast and friendly. Food is really delicious and portion is good. Highly recommend to try the house-made remoulade (description says there’s apple in it), most delicious remoulade I tried so far. Price is quite high but fish are fresh and well cooked. It is popular too among local, it seems.

Well, it ain't fancy, the menu is simple, and you know afterwards that you've eaten here (open kitchen arrangement ... ), but it's still one of the best fish eateries in Bremerhaven. The fish is fresh, the portions are huge, and the staff is very friendly. If you want to eat fish, do it here.

The restaurant is in a good location. That is about the only positive aside from a good, clean spacious dining room. Food is not authentic Asian. Ordered tom yum soup and Pad Thai noodles. The Tom yum had a distinct flavour of tomato soup! There was diced carrot, red and green diced capsicum and few scattered button mushrooms along with some onion. Missing the pricipal lemongrass, galangal, and makrut (kaffir) lime leaves. No sour flavour. The pad thai was equally disappointing. The noodles were boiled and put on the plate and then topped with the same stir fried vegetables as the soup! No peanut and no bean sprout topping and very bland. Considering the staff is all Asian they should have got these iconic dishes right. Large portions but this does not in any way compensate for the lack of taste of the food. The coffee was also sub standard. When it came to the bill then they informed that they do not accept credit cards. Lucky I had some cash or i could see an awkward situation here. There should be a clear sign saying cash only. Or it should be informed before order is placed. First and last time . Never again.

I came to visit Bremerhaven and expected to find a lot of fish restaurants, but unfortunately that was not the case. Luckily for me, I stumbled across this Asian restaurant which served me one of the best Asian dishes I have ever had. The portions are big, the staff is very nice and the atmosphere is good.

We went there on a Tues night for our last meal before we left the next day. The place was very clean and a pleasant atmosphere. However although the meal was tasty the rice was absolutely awful. They served up the rice desperate and came out like a starch ball. I can make better rice myself.

This a cozy hotel in Bremerhaven, i am overall satisfied and i would visit the hotel again. The positive things: - It has nice breakfast on a nice restaurant area - It has a small internal pool - It has an internal bar that is self service during night time - Rooms are newly renovated with good quality - The reception personnel was friendly and received on my behalf twice parcels from DHL. - Location is central to restaurants and anything nice to see in this small city. The negative things: - They clean only every three days - The bed was single - The were tiny insects coming from the bathroom sink.

It's a nice hotel, but they have plastic protection on mattress and pillows, that crap belongs in a cheap motel not in a 4 star hotell!! I was sweating and slept bad for several nights before I realized why 👎🏼

My recent stay at was quite pleasant. The hotel boasts a charming, traditional style, offering a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. While not luxurious, it provided everything I needed for a relaxing getaway.

Very good breakfast and customer service. The superior room with 2 beds and two bathrooms was perfect for a 2 night stay! It felt extra comfortable and spacious with the second bed being in a separate area of the hotel room. Location of the hotel is very central and you can walk to most sightseeing locations. I would stay here again! Excellent hotel!

Being in the Liberty Hotel you can expect something, but was really disappointing. A very limited menu to choose from, two choices per course. I had for main the seabass. Small portion pretending to be cuisine, but not very exciting to taste. Desert with cheese was nice. The espresso to finish is a plain insult to Italian coffee. All in all overpriced for limited portions. Will no go again.

Desert rebarbora a zmrzlina s jahodami bez problémů. Co je špatně k ceně 3 chodového menu 65 EUR je další příplatek 14 €! Pokud umíte počítat tak jednotlivé části stojí méně než v menu. Cena neodpovídá chuti a kvalitě jídla. Doba servírování byla 2 hodiny.

Egg fried rice and noodles were off, slimy and long sticky strands hanging off them. Never seen that before in a Chinese meal. 85 euro take away and straight in the bin. Definitely won't be going again, wouldn't recommend their restaurant at all
