Nice selection. Great staff. The only thing lacking is, for those with peanut allergies, the peanut butter candies are spread throughout the cases. We felt a little leary of the items that could have cross-contamination issues that were near peanut candy.
Our family has visited several locations in several states and have always enjoyed the ice cream and various fudge flavors. There isn’t a better ice cream anywhere. A young lady that waited on us in the Hendersonville location her name is Nevada. She is an amazing person. Brightest smile, attitude was sweet and professional. She made everyone feel as if she enjoyed them being there. Everyone can learn from this young lady on customer service. Kudos to Kilwins.

If you are looking for a sweet treat and great atmosphere, this is your place! I have been in other Kilwins and they are good as well but there is a friendliness and comfort in the Hendersonville location.
I stopped into the Kilwins in Downtown Hendersonville on my recent trip, based on positive past experiences. The fudge is in front of the store and I was given a sample when I arrived. That was dry so I ordered different flavors. It turns out those were dry and not freshly made too. I'd say it was at least 3 days old if not more. I'd never been served old, dry fudge at a Kilwins before, so I will need to be more cautious in the future before buying. I should have realized if the sample was old and dry the rest of it likely was too.
I bought some prepackaged boxes too before I left. All of these items were placed in a white paper bag. It couldn't handle the weight and ripped about a block away. I'm not sure why I wasn't given an adequate bag for the weight.
This was a disappointing experience and not the store I remember. I suspect the owners changed. I will not stop again.
I dont know what happen, but usually I get my chocolate in a cute box and this young lady literally put my chocolate in the counter first them throw them in the bag, I ask if she had hot chocolate and she was like yeah but no, I dont have everything out. What throws me off was her attitude towards us. Yesterday even the chocolate tasted different.
Absolutely fantastic! 💯 worth a visit if in town! So many good treats! Stopped by on the 4th of July, so that was special! Fun to watch them make the fudge, and I recommend trying their ice scream!

Lindsay with Gateaux is absolutely amazing! She made us a vintage style wedding cake, macaroons, and lemon meringues. Everything she made for us was absolutely delicious! We got a tasting box from her to select our cake flavor and we went with lemon blueberry and traditional wedding cake. Both flavors were tasty and all of our wedding guests enjoyed them! The macaroons flavor and texture was perfect, they were light and fluffy! I cannot wait to have more yummy cake the next time we are going to be in the area!

Lindsay is a cake genius. She has the most stunning assortment of cake flavor combinations, and they’re all DELICIOUS. We went with the blueberry lemon cake for our wedding cake and were told by guests that it was “the best wedding cake they’ve had” multiple times. We also bought cupcakes (funfetti & chocolate caramel) that were smash hits!!

Absolutely phenomenal! My wedding cake from Gateaux Cakes and Pastries was stunning and delicious. It was everything I asked for and came out more beautiful than I could’ve imagined! We also ordered desserts such as cupcakes, mini pies and macarons (made to match our wedding colors!) and they were all amazing! Gateaux cakes and Pastries will always have my business for any future events due to their exquisite artistry and clear passion for what they do!

Lindsay is a rock star! We did a cake tasting and ended up having a custom cake made out of a few different options. We also had a bunch of different side dessert options, a lot of which were her idea based on our theme. Her designs were beautiful and she was so easy to work with. I will absolutely be hiring her again!
Lindsay was so refreshing to work with. I didn't really know where to start when it came to looking for a wedding cake vendor, but she came highly recommended by my venue. I'm so glad that we went with her. She made the cutest tasting kit for my husband and I, and even included a little bottle of prosecco. We picked it up on the way to weekend in Asheville and ate it in our hotel room. It made for such great memories.
When it came to design, Lindsay was dedicated to finding a specific stencil I liked for the cake. She was so helpful with the design process. and When it came to flavors (I wanted specifically red velvet and strawberry for each of my grandmothers) she knocked it out of the park when it came to taste. We had cake left over and it tasted amazing until it was gone. She operates out of this unassuming, humble little toy shop in Hendersonville. A true hidden gem. Thank you so much Lindsay for making another detail of our wedding so beautiful.
I discovered Lindsay and Gateaux Cakes when I decided to drive home and surprise my mom for her special 70th birthday. With only a few emails back and forth, Lindsay understood my vision for this journey through the ages cake. The end result was better than I hoped for and it was an amazing surprise for my mom. The chocolate cake with raspberry filing and swiss buttercream was delicious and not cloyingly sweet. Can't thank you enough for delivering this vision seamlessly.

Easily, the best wedding cake I have ever had! Not to mention, absolutely gorgeous. My wedding cake was straight out of my dreams! A few days before my wedding, I asked Lindsay if she could add a small monarch to my cake, as monarchs have always been significant to me and I had incorporated them into my wedding stationary. She happily accommodated, and I’m so glad I asked. It made the cake even more special for me.
The icing was not cloyingly sweet, which I loved. I chose lemon curd and strawberry jam in between each layer and the taste was phenomenal. The cake itself was buttery and moist. I can’t wait to order more cakes from Gateaux!

If you love bakeries, this one should be at the top of your list! McFarlan had the BEST cinnamon rolls ever, and I've tried quite a few. The fact the shop is still open 94 years after its opening states everything you need to know.

We have now gotten two custom cakes from this bakery for each of my daughter’s birthdays. One Frozen themed party and one outer space (“two the moon”) themed party. Both times they absolutely nailed the looks we were going for. We keep coming back because the cakes are also DELICIOUS. 10/10, no question we will be back for our next event!
I really liked the chocolate chewy cookie, but the rest was just okay. The price was ok on most items compared to other bakeries so that was good. A couple staff were friendly but the one taking my order seemed like she really didn't want to get my order. Overall it wasn't a bad experience but I won't make the long drive to go back.
We asked this bakery to make a gender reveal cake for us and they exceed our expectations! Not only was the cake beautiful and exactly what we asked for, but it was honestly one of the most delicious cakes I’ve eaten! They also worked with us on our tight deadline and got it to us within a week. We received so many compliments on the cake as well and many people asking where it was from. It is rare to find a ‘real’ bakery these days. You know, the kind where their products are made from scratch and are so delicious. Well, this is one of those places. What a great surprise to discover this spot while visiting Hendersonville, NC. The cinnamon rolls are the best I’ve ever tasted. Their cookies are fresh, tasty, and addictive. Don’t miss this place when you visit the area.
Just amazing! We found McFarlan on a trip to the Asheville area and instantly knew we needed to have their donuts at our wedding. Some of the best apple fritters, cinnamon rolls, and traditional donuts we’ve ever had. The cake they made for our wedding was literally the best cake we’ve ever had! We were blown away. Their team was always friendly, professional, and so easy to work with. We will be back!
I have grown up on Mcfarlans and always loved them. You can’t go wrong with anything there! I wanted to comment on the decorators they have there now. I didn’t give them a lot of direction other than please include a “train,” but they created the sweetest cake for my son! It is SO cute and delicious! McFarlans will always be our favorite place for sweet treats!

Delicious!!!CASH ONLY! But sooooo worth it! We ordered: cheeseburger, fried okra, pulled pork, turnip greens, coleslaw, and Brunswick stew. And it all was stupendous. Full of flavor and fast. Don’t go to a fast food restaurant go here get your food and make your tummy happy!
The atmosphere is casual, very fun, and over all a whimsical place to eat for everyone. The decor has large and small antique treasures and memorabilia the owner has collected over time. Our table ordered a BBQ plate: excellent, a hot dog plate: excellent. The plate comes with a side and our French fries were very good. They also serve ice cream. The hot dogs were some of the best I have ever eaten. It was very busy when we were there but the service gets people through the line and seated quickly. You can't miss it because it has big animal statues on the roof! We will be eating here again.

I absolutely love this restaurant.I went to it for my first time on thursday and had the pulled pork plate with collard greens and baked beans and Hush Puppies and it was excellent, great taste, great price.I think I got that plate and my drink for like eleven dollars and change. We sat out doors.I absolutely loved that the waitress staff and the employees very friendly and very helpful. I definitely suggest if you're in Hendersonville. Go try this place. They also have many different ice creams. We didn't have any but others did. I will return soon.

Who doesn't love hot donuts now! Saw the sign and pulled over. Service was slow and left much to be desired. 2 teenage boys sharing one register with drive thru. But...the donuts were delicious and perfectly prepared!
Original glazed donuts are not good.... At all. We used to buy donuts at this location a lot. Not anymore! Their glaze seems to be watered down. It does not krisp up it gets soggy. These donuts are not worth $9 a dozen. This picture was taken an hour after we got them . This is the 3rd time they have looked like this. Super disappointed! We will not be back.
I love Krispy Kreme. Always have to stop when the hot sign is on. The new blueberry glazed is really yummy! I love their coffee too. The employees at this location are super nice. Look who else stops when the hot sign is on..
Did you know if you sign up to their email list you get a free dozen glazed donuts on your birthday? Anyhow that's why I came and it was excellent service and hot donuts.
First time here... staff seemed very confused and not trained well at all. Like someone let them all work alone on their first day ever in a coffee shop. We ordered a pumpkin spice latte and she poured a black coffee and added some
stuff in it to taste like pumpkin, here is a photo of my pumpkin spice latte... was supposed to get $1.08 back in change and was handed two nickels, and almost worse than the “latte” was my “kreme filled donut”. It had one bite of cream in it. Black coffee also tasted like it was brewed with already used coffee. Never coming back unless you can properly train your employees.
When Krispy Kreme isn't in your little town, and you start hankering for hot glazed doughnuts, and pumpkin spice donuts, and chocolate icing-filled doughnuts, and some Krispy Kreme coffee.... you just have to make the trip.
Horrible... just traveling thru...hot sign on but donuts were cold with water type glaze, like sugar water, not fresh like what were are used too from KK! Avoid this location!

Absolutely delicious! We got there a little bit early because we didn't realize they opened at 12. It was overcast and cool, though, so we waited it out on the front porch on the rocking chairs. It was actually very enjoyable. When they opened, we were greeted by a friendly staff and many yummy options. We all really enjoyed our treats and spent less than $20. We will definitely be back and probably won't be buying grocery store ice cream anymore!

I was excited to try the custard here. It was all good until the young blond girl who checked us out rolled her eyes when I told her that our order was incorrect. It totally ruined my experience. I won’t be back. If you’re going to work in customer service you should be able to provide it.
We had such a great experience at Whit’s! The staff was incredibly sweet, friendly, and quick — they made the whole visit feel so welcoming. Even though it was steady with customers, the service moved fast and no one was ever left waiting. And of course, the frozen custard was absolutely delicious! We’ll definitely be back!
Yummy stuff! Our kids got some really great kid-themed custard here (complete with gummy worms), and they were beyond excited about it. Mom and dad enjoyed theirs too. Definitely a good spot for a delicious treat.

Terrible location. No place to park! Not clean inside or out. I asked for a blended mint chocolate custard, They covered it in a green watery strong mint liquid (not mixed in) which ruined the chocolate custard base. Horrible.
Whits frozen custard is amazing. They have chocolate, vanilla, and then a weekly and daily flavor. You can check their website to see what the current flavors are. They do cookie sandwiches, cones, and sundaes. We absolutely love it.

Really enjoyed the Pomegranate Raspberry Sorbet. So many choices and the pairs can be swirled together. I added the shaved dark chocolate, simple but delicious. The choice of toppings are numerous. Will be back!

This place has some really good frozen yogurt, especially if you are trying to avoid too much dairy. They have at least 2 dairy-free options that actually taste good every time I go as well as a variety of dairy free toppings. Everything is well labeled and the dairy-free frozen yogurt actually has a very similar texture to the real thing. They also have a cool lounge space to sit and enjoy your frozen yogurt as well as a few tables outside. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is dairy intolerant or just trying to avoid excessive dairy!
Colorful, fun, self-serve shop. Not many options for those with dietary restrictions (e.g. NO sugar-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, etc).

The girls working the counter just stood around chatting instead of cleaning the tables. Even when I told two of them the tables were disgusting, and needed cleaning, they just nodded their heads, and kept on chatting. The self serve topping area was desperately needing to be cleaned, and straightened up. I wouldn't even get any toppings because it was in such disaray. We've always loved going to Sweet Frogs but they need to step it up!!! When I return the next time, if it's still being neglected, I'll leave...
We are locals and each time we enjoy a tasty treat here, the experience is always nice.

I can understand closing early due to an emergency. What I can’t understand is how DQ allows a mobile Order and then the store refusing to respond to a customer asking to be refunded for an order they could not pick up, because the store was closed inside of regular business hours.
If you call there is no answer after three days of trying, I reached a shift lead promising a manager would call me back. Three weeks later nothing and they rarely answer the phone. They stole my money basically so beware if you are traveling and using the mobile app. I suggest driving there before placing an order to make sure they are open.
The shift lead basically told me they close inside of business hours regularly due to lack of employees and district manager refusing to hire people or change the hours. They will waste your time unfortunately.

Blond girl caked in a pound of makeup messed up my order and when called out she proceeded to throw a temper tantrum and messed up my do-over. Rudest I’ve ever been treated, will not return.
Yeah, it was hot in there like air-conditioning working but that’s OK. Summertime look at the menu ask for a double cheeseburger and a large french fry. The girl gave me a combo and a couple bites. I told I didn’t want to drink that I want it just a double cheeseburger and a large fry, I’ll take it was flat and tasted like the Pepsi was old rant fast food for 10 years I know all about it. I guess the refrigeration was not working. It was hot paid $10.89 for everything to Truck or old that filled up tasted good but it wasn’t hot. The meat was old had been cooked. Probably 3040 minutes. Not very happy last time I ate at Dairy Queen was five years ago. I guess it’ll be another five years.
Went through the drive-thru, so I am not certain about the atmosphere, although the attendant at the window was exceptionally friendly and polite. Service was excellent, being both quick and accurate.
Food is fast food, so there's only so much quality that can be reasonably expected, but it's certainly better than other fast/cheap options like 'The Golden Arches'. Also the difference in pricing isn't enough to dissuade anyone considering the significantly higher standard and quality of the food you're paying for.

My frosted animal cookie blizzard was basically only vanilla ice cream. When I asked if this was normal they said yes. This is not the only bad experience I have had here. I won’t be returning.
Good food as long as you don't mind taking home a side of coronavirus. For some reason every worker there that day put on a mask to talk to customers, but every one of them took their mask off to prepare food. Seems like you're missing the point...

Celtic Creamery WNC, located in Hendersonville NC, is a charming ice cream shop just a short stroll from downtown. They craft their delectable ice cream daily in small batches, using locally sourced ingredients from the area. With an impressive selection of over forty flavors, there's something to satisfy every craving.
This was a great treat for the family. We were looking for an icecream shop and found this. They have many delicious flavors and we found the sea salt honey to be one of the best. They also offer mini doughnut made fresh to order.

Made a quick stop during my day in Hendersonville. I got a two school waffle cone with Heavenly Heath and Cookie Dough. Huge scoops. The ice cream was very rich and delicious. Would def go again.
Someone else wrote that this was the best ice cream they’ve ever had. So I had to go try, and I would agree that this is top 3 ice cream I’ve ever had. Including store bought, shop or homemade. Very good, creamy, clean finish. Their doughnuts were very good as well.

This is an amazing boutique dessert spot! They have enough flavors that you can find something you want without being overwhelmed. The mini donuts were very appetizing. The smells are amazing! We loved sitting outside as a group and eating our ice cream. Definitely recommend this place and will return every time I'm in Hendersonville!
Tried for the first time, based on a friend's recommendation. Delicious ice cream, and because we had the Beachside Brownie sundae, it had two fabulous brownies that were as good tasting as the brownies fresh out of the oven at home! Am excited to return sometime and try some of the other flavors. Nice indoor and outdoor seating space. The only slightly negative, is that the order area is fairly cramped, so if there are a lot of people at the order line, it is hard to move around.
Ally had the best customer service, was so fun to talk to, and recommended the DONUTS! They were amazing! We also got different flavors of ice cream and it was so delicious. This has been our favorite ice cream spot the last few years!!
They were out of donuts 🥲 so sad.
We did get a scoop of coffee and cookie dough ice cream. Both were creamy and delicious. Very nice for a small treat (or big if you want to indulge even more). They also had specials that included cookies, donuts, brownies, or banana splits but we stuck with the basics.
