El Morocco Club is a popular spot located in the Kasbah area of Tanger, Morocco. It offers international cuisine with an English touch and is known for its quality dishes. The establishment combines a restaurant, terrace cafeteria, and piano bar, providing a multifaceted experience for visitors. With its pleasant atmosphere and excellent service, it's highly recommended by many travelers who have enjoyed their time there.
The candied lamb and couscous and John Dory fish were both excellent, couscous was great, atmosphere very romantic, and service attentive but a tad slow sometimes. And a wonderful romantic time!

I forgot to review this spot- went here last summer. The food was wonderful, and offers a modern take on traditional Moroccan cuisine. The flavours and presentation were sublime. A calming atmosphere and beautiful lighting. The service was great as well.
Chehrazad C — Google review
El Morocco club is an upscale venue in Tangier, easily located. You can either have a drink under the trees, on the main façade of the establishment, or book a table in the restaurant for lunch or dinner, or book a place at the piano bar. There are, therefore, three ways to appreciate this place. It has a menu of excellent alcoholic beverages, from wines, cocktails, beers and a selected dishes. The presentation of the dishes is beautiful, and they are very well served. I drank a glass of white wine and ordered a saffron risotto with prawns. My God, it was the best risotto I've eaten in my life! The staff are very kind, and at the end I was awarded a spectacular chocolate truffle. I highly recommend this place, and I add that it is necessary to make a reservation. Success to you all ✨
Larissa C — Google review
Can highly recommend this restaurant, we got to sit in our own room, amazing staff. Super cozy and great food. We really loved this place!
Julia J — Google review
Even though we were on October, and just at start (19:30), the restaurant was fully booked. I'd tried to make a reservation in the afternoon, both via telephone and site, to no avail. It was the single restaurant in Tanger that we had this difficulty. And soon we knew the reason: the restaurant is really excellent! Given the fact that there were no tables available, the maitre suggested going to bar (1 level below) and dine there. The bar is a really small area, with very small round tables, suitable perfectly for a drink and some appetisers. Using them to eat is really an exercise of dexterity. But the good news is that it is possible, with the extreme assistance of really well trained and gentle waiters. Also speaking fluent Spanish was really helpful, although I overheard them speaking also in English and French. Anyway, my recomendation is choosing whatever you like or just follow the waiter indications, since everything is delicious and extremely well prepared. Oysters, lamb, crab, pasta, .... Finally, make a reservation at least one day in advance, and then enjoy this wonderful place in the first floor main dining room...
Federico M — Google review
I had a disappointing experience while visiting with my family. There was an empty table available, but the staff refused to let us sit there, claiming it was reserved—although no one showed up for over an hour. I asked if we could use the table for just 30 minutes, but they still refused, seemingly because we were not foreigners. We were a group of seven and would have ordered more than many of the foreign guests who were seated without issue. This kind of discrimination is unacceptable. I do not recommend this club.
Mohamed A — Google review
They have a small, formal dining room upstairs, and a charming Moroccan style speak easy downstairs. Downstairs is where you want to try to eat/drink. Smoking is allowed downstairs but it’s well ventilated. Downstairs is what makes this place special, but seating is limited, so get here early and specify you want to eat dinner downstairs. My wife had the lamb dish which she loved as it was sweet, and well presented. The lamb is a shredded layer topped with rice and sweet potatoes. I ordered the center cut stake with fries. My order of medium rare came out rare, so you might be better off ordering it medium if you want The steak to be seared on the outside and cooked to a warm red center with a hint of pink. Where it still has some firmness but is still juicy and tender. If you are looking for unique and special, it’s the speak easy (1920’s style bar) downstairs, the fine dining quality and presentation, and for a fairly reasonable price. We spent $120 for two beautiful main course meals, 1 wonderful desert, 3 beers, and two cocktails. Again, just make sure you get down into the speakeasy for that special charm you are looking for.
John — Google review
Had an excellent dinner! Food was finely presented & service was 5 stars! It’s what I would expect at a fine dining restaurant! We started off with a couple of drinks at the bar which had the most awesome vibe to it. They do a really good Negroni! We had the tuna tartare & the burrata in Taktouka to start. Both had a nice hint of Moroccan to it. Our mains were the John Dory fish in creamy saffron risotto & Chicken Pastilla. Fish was cooked to perfection, loved the lemon foam on top. Children Pastilla was probably the one item not on top of our list. For desserts, we tried the lemon meringue pie & creme brûlée with saffron - both amazing tasting! Also really enjoyed the wines - tried the rosé and a bottle of Moroccan white. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening there! Would have loved it if the live band was playing, I’m sure!

Coffee shop
Café à l'Anglaise is a charming spot that combines the spirit of Jane Austen with traditional Moroccan design. The cozy tearoom offers a mix of European antiques and Moroccan elements, creating a unique atmosphere. Run by a delightful Moroccan family, this café serves up delicious dishes such as chicken tajine and sweet pastilla. Located on Rue de la Kasbah, it's an ideal place to enjoy fresh juice and a traditional Moroccan breakfast while taking in the surroundings.
This place is an absolute gem. We ordered morrocan pancakes, morrocan pastry, moroccan coffee (best coffee I've ever had!), detox drink and cheese omelet. Everything was delicious and the bread they gave was warm and nice. Also nice olives. The staff are nice and spoke good English. Also good music and good vibes generally!
Mohamed K — Google review
A beautiful establishment with delicious French-Moroccan cuisine made with all fresh ingredients and passion. Ideal place for morning coffee or dinner. The lady who runs this cafe is lovely and very welcoming. Highly recommend to give it a chance. It’s significantly better than most places on the street with higher google rates and deserves much more attention in this foodies opinion.
Yulia K — Google review
This establishment offers a distinctive dining experience. While its exterior may not immediately capture the attention of passersby, it was recommended through my wife's AI search. The staff provides a welcoming service and is adept at accommodating linguistic differences. The ambiance is remarkably serene, evoking the atmosphere of a private residence rather than a typical restaurant. The rooftop location provides a pleasant setting with a refreshing breeze. We sampled the Samoussa and the fried skewered chicken. Although the Samoussa could be improved with more seasoning, its overall flavor was acceptable. The Coca-Cola had a unique taste and was served at a cool temperature, rather than chilled. The chicken was prepared with local spices and fried, resulting in a unique and enjoyable flavor profile. The bread offered a familiar taste. This small, unique establishment provides a surprising culinary experience. I would consider a return visit if the opportunity arises. On a side note they don't take credit cards. Cash only

Charmingly decorated, petite cafe with lovely staff. Menu offers assorted coffees, tea, and juices as well as lunch/brunch foods. A perfect place for people watching as the locals walk by, returning from their shopping on Rue de la Kasbah. We particularly enjoyed the detox juice which includes fresh ginger and lemon, as well as the Italian Coffee brewed and served in an authentic Moka Pot. The cafe's eclectic mix of cups and saucers is also delightful. The cafe also remain opens during Ramadan, making it one of the few locations in Tangier where tourists can sit and eat during the day. Also, I don't know about you, but drinking from a vintage teacup makes a cafe experience so much more lovely. If you feel the same, this is the place for you!
Robin B — Google review
Cute place with very delicious food. Service is prompt and they will go out of their way to accommodate you. Fresh fruit juice is a nice starter. Will definitely come back for another meal here.
Alex A — Google review
Went for breakfast. Omelette was nice, real orange juice and a mint tea with sugar on the side was fantastic to let you sweeten it to your liking. Waitress was nice, but what really bothered me was the cook who did not aknowledged my smiles and my thanks. She did not look at me once, looked bored and bothered to do her job, and it's just insulting. I then realized she had one earbud on. But really, don't do customer service if you act like you're above it all. Really disappointed.
Tau B — Google review
After my wife and I (born and raised in Morocco) have re-discovered Tangier through the film "only lovers left alive” by Jim Jarmush (couple of scenes were taken in this beautiful city), we became aware by chance on our way to Kasabah on L'anglaise and had a very good diner back in the days 2014. Today I came here for the 6th time and ate kefta (ground beef) with pickled peppers and tomatoes. The food melts in your mouth like butter. Typical Mediterranean / Moroccan cuisine with healthy meat / vegetable combinations rounded by its simplicity. I definitely recommend this piece of art cuisine. The location is decorated so carefully and artistically that you feel like you are in a museum. Imagine that, good food and cultural heritage at the same time.
Mohammed M — Google review
Original vegan tajine, rooftop terrace, warm and welcoming service. This was the best place I have eaten in Tangier or in Morocco for that matter. I can also truly say that 'a l'anglaise' is vegetarian or vegan-friendly. You can eat a vegetarian tajine anywhere, but much less effort and care is usually put into those dishes. This cute family business welcomes you with a lovely mother and her daughters in a carefully decorated and cozy living room setting. The girls speak perfect English and are more than happy to have a friendly chat and give you some recommendations on what to do in the area. One of the best things about this place is the lovely rooftop terrace. There is an inside as well as an outside part to accommodate you despite the weather conditions. They have a good wifi connection-which can be hard to find-although it does not reach the rooftop. Now the food; it was pricier than at other places. We paid two or three times as much. But it has not been easy to find Moroccan food with a twist. As a vegan, my options are either vegetarian tajine or couscous. This becomes boring quite quickly because it is always prepared with the same vegetables (carrots, zucchini, potato) and prepared with much less care than this beautiful creation. I ordered a vegan tajine and got a beautifully presented artichoke tajine with leek and legumes. On the side I ordered some delicious vegan spinach samosas on a bed of mint leaves. All of this with freshly squeezed orange juice of course. Pros: - original vegetarian tajine - understood veganism - speak fluent English - friendly service - rooftop terrace - good wifi connection Cons: - wifi did not reach rooftop - pricier than other restaurants

Cappuccino is a sophisticated and popular cafe known for its delicious desserts, including tiramisu, ice cream, raspberry tarts, and French pastries. The menu also offers a variety of beverages such as hot chocolate, coffee, and juices. It's a contemporary spot favored by tourists during the day for its tasty coffee, sandwiches, muffins, and pastries. The casual atmosphere makes it an ideal place to unwind with family or friends.

Very nice café, the food is good and you get to experience traditional moroccan breakfast with its different bread types. I tasted something called "amlou" and it was really nice.

Service was absolutely crap. The guy had us waiting over half an hour, but kept saying 5 minutes. He was checking the girls out the little weirdo. Then getting them seated before us. Also, this guy must have never brushed his teeth in his life. I’m sure he doesn’t own a tooth brush. Had to give him a mint so he doesn’t ruin peoples appetites. Ended up leaving him the whole pack cos he needs it more than anyone else in this whole universe. Pizza was nice. Atmosphere is amazing. The place is really nice. Dessert and milkshakes are mediocre, nothing too special. I’d go back for the pizza though. Toilets are nice and clean. So if you need to drop some logs, don’t hesitate to go into their toilets after. Especially if you’re going to be having any milkshakes. Also, sit inside if you’re with kids. Everyone’s smoking in the outside seating area. Chips/French fries are whack. I think that’s just how it is, in the whole of Morocco. But other than that, if you’re in Tangier for a quick visit, it’s a nice place to sit and eat.
S — Google review
I’ve visited Cappuccino Café multiple times over the years, hoping it would improve, but unfortunately it’s been disappointing every single time. The prices are extremely high for what they offer, and the quality simply doesn’t justify the cost. The place is always overcrowded, and the music is so loud that it’s impossible to have a proper conversation. The waiters are consistently rude and unwelcoming, which really ruins the experience. The food is terrible, poorly presented, and far from fresh. The drinks menu is limited and shockingly overpriced. It feels more like a place for show-off and taking pictures than somewhere to actually enjoy a good meal or coffee. If you’re looking for quality, comfort, or good service in Tangier, I strongly suggest going elsewhere.

Cappuccino Café – Stylish But Disappointing for Coffee Lovers 😕☕ I had heard a lot about Cappuccino Café in Tangier — it’s definitely one of the well-known spots, with a beautiful space and stylish furniture ✨ The place looks impressive from the outside and inside, no doubt. But honestly? I didn’t enjoy the vibe. The seating felt cold and impersonal — the space is huge, and instead of feeling cozy, I just felt… out of place 🪑❄️ Of course, with a name like Cappuccino, I came in expecting a standout coffee experience. Unfortunately, the cappuccino I ordered was a letdown. The flavor was bland, like something you’d get from a basic Nespresso machine at home 😐 And honestly, I think I could make a better one myself! It was clear that they weren’t using specialty beans — just very standard coffee with no richness or depth. So if you’re looking for high-quality coffee, this is not the place. I also ordered a molten cake with ice cream, and surprisingly, I did enjoy that 🍫🍨 — it was the highlight of my visit. Rich, warm, and delicious. As for the rest of the menu — I didn’t try their food, but based on the atmosphere, it felt more like a place for lunch or dinner than a café for true coffee lovers 🍽️ Would I return? No, I don’t think so. There are far better places in Tangier to enjoy a real coffee experience. ☕💔

The menu said one thing, but when I ordered, they brought my dish with different ingredients. I know they were extras, but I read the menu carefully to make sure I’d get what I wanted. Honestly, I didn’t like the food at all

I will not even give 1 star to this coffee shop..!!! We enter so we were looking for a shaded table and the inside was to hot becoz AC was Off, 1st guy was nice he asked us to go upstaire to check if we like a table up,but we decide to sit downstair, we choose a table was dirty we asked a waiter to clean it, he say it's not mytable, so he called another waiter to come to clean the other one said same thing it's not his duty., and another and another so they keep discussing between them and no one came..and by the way they were all just standing with no work..so we decide to leave this place...they're not professional, to maneeres ... a bad service

The Thai restaurant Tom Yam offers a variety of Asian and European cuisine, as well as some traditional Thai dishes. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the food is excellent.
I needed a break from Moroccan food and went to Tom Yam; it was incredible! Some of best Thai food I've ever had, especially the Panang Curry and the assorted rolls I got as appetizers. In fact, I went there back to back nights. It's a short walk from the Bay...eat and THEN go sit/walk by the water.

I am so glad we found Tom Yam and even happier we didn’t order in but went to experience this properly. Firstly the food was great, flavorful and generous. Saad (Ben) the owner, is a wonderful host, he is sincere and hilarious. Ask him for him recommendations on the best meals on the day. On of our favourite meals in Morocco

Delicious and wonderful menu of authentic Thai cuisine! We loved Everton that we chose, with the help of the owner who welcomed us and cooked for us in the kitchen as if it was his home. Will definitely be back again!

Nice Thai restaurant in Tangier. Ate yellow Thai curry, it had good quantity of vegetables and the peanuts added the crunch. The ambience is okay, not that great. Would definitely recommend.
Anusha K — Google review
Very friendly host, he introduced us plenty of Thai dishes and considered our special wishes too. My friends fell in love with the food…. it’s definitely worth a visit for people who never tried Thai food before as well as for guys who wants to eat something good.
Ronny F — Google review
The restaurant appears unassuming from the outside but is really cozy, clean and comfortable inside. We ordered some kind of spring rolls and fried filled triangles followed by the red curry with coconut and lime and a fish curry. Both main dishes came with rice but we ordered some extra PadTai fried noodles as well. Everything tasted just excellent and authentic and the price was really fair for the quality that they offer. The owner was a perfect host. Well informed, polite, attentive, talkative, but never intrusive. I'm glad we followed his dessert recommendations, their cakes - we chose homemade carrot and blueberry cheese cake - are extremely delicious. Highly recommendable. We will come back.

Italian restaurant
Caravaggio is a delightful Italian restaurant that brings the essence of traditional Italian cuisine to life with its extensive menu featuring pasta, pizza, salads, and delectable desserts. The ambiance is nothing short of enchanting, characterized by elegant dim lighting and the soothing sounds of classical music that create a perfect dining atmosphere. Located in Tangier, this charming eatery has garnered attention for its wood-fired pizzas and unique offerings like seafood pasticcio and chicken pasticcio.
Caravaggio in Tangier is a lovely spot for Italian food in a calm and welcoming setting. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, with attentive service that made us feel comfortable throughout the meal. The dishes were fresh and full of flavour. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the ingredients tasted high-quality. There was a good selection of wines as well, and the desserts were a pleasant surprise. Overall it was a great experience and a nice break from traditional Moroccan food if you’re in the mood for something Italian.
Claudia C — Google review
What a fantastic gem in the heart of the city, just off the main blvd. The food was good, not very Italian tasting though. Their menu was a bit confused with Greek, Italian, Spanish, and moroccan influences. Great place for a small group, an intimate meal, or a family. The prices were perfect. As someone who has been to over 30 places, this is one where the locals literally line up to eat.
LasVegas C — Google review
I had heard about the place but hadn’t had the chance to try it because, during my previous visits, it was always crowded with many customers waiting at the door. Recently, I finally got the opportunity to visit several times and sample various dishes, including pistccio, pizza, lasagna, and their most popular dish, the Caravaggio plate. However, the best dishes I tried were the seafood pasticcio and the chicken pasticcio. The menu is rich with many choices offered by the restaurant. 👍 The waiter is very friendly and helpful. 👍 Our orders were served within a minutes. 😑 Prices are reasonable compared to the same category of places in Tangier. 👍 There is TPE to pay with debit card 👍 It's definitely a place worth visiting, but I recommend going later in the day to avoid waiting for a vacant table.
Zaid B — Google review
Extremely disappointing experience. Beverages were brought to our table only after we had finished our meal, despite our clear request to cancel them. When we declined to accept the drinks, we were still pressured to pay. Upon raising our concerns with the cashier, we were met with outright rudeness. He dismissed our complaint, stating that he was "making money" and that we were simply distracting him. The lack of professionalism and disregard for basic customer service was truly unacceptable.
Ayu — Google review
A complete disaster! This restaurant far from lives up to its reputation. The food? Tasteless and unprepared, a complete waste of money. But the worst part was the service. We waited forever for dishes that were absolutely not worth it. And I want to emphasize the cashier's attitude: extremely rude! With a way of speaking to customers that borders on the unacceptable. Frankly, with such an approach to people, this restaurant will end up driving its customers away. An experience not to be repeated
Emmy S — Google review
I went to this restaurant with my husband today and we ordered food, but we had to wait for 45min while other people who came after us were served before us. When my husband asked about the delay, the manager expelled him from the restaurant, claiming that he was not patient enough and was not speaking politely , and insulted him with offensive words in front of the customers. It was a very humiliating and unacceptable experience. I do not recommend this place at all.
Rimi M — Google review
Cheap and Cheerful Pizzeria The caprese salad, mushroom risotto and vegetarian pizza were average. The service was good. Overall- it's great value if you consider the prices, but the flavour of the dishes leave much to be desired.
Pavan N — Google review
I love wood fire pizza. Nothing compares. This place did some amazing work. The only problem is I didn't get what I ordered. I got a calzone (take away), I'm not really a fan. I find the lack of cheese crust off-putting but this one was really good. The egg in the middle was perfect that's why it gets 4 stars. french speaking,Italian styled, Moroccan based restaurant. Worth it if you're in Tangier! To be fair- I've been in Morocco for 4 days. I've eaten every meal at a different restaurant. Not one of my orders has been 100% correct!

Café Sky 17 in Tangier is a delightful coffeeshop offering an array of delectable desserts such as chocolate crepes, cheesecakes, and fresh pressed juices. Situated near the seafront, it provides a refreshing experience with ocean breezes and salty air. The attentive all-male staff ensures a clean and tidy environment, sweeping the floor every 10 minutes and maintaining impeccable restroom hygiene.
Nice restaurant and cafe. I had the chicken Tandoori. It was a delicious chicken breast with tandoori sauce on the side with small rice and mashed potato. Also, the staff were welcoming and the ambiance was really nice. There are plenty of TVs if you were looking to watch a football match there.

I was told that this place created the best pizzas in Tangier. Every time I passed the cafe I was thinking of pizza. Well today I popped in to try their famous pizza. Mmmm, I should have stayed at home. I’m shocked that they even thought they could serve what came from the kitchen. The pizza wasn’t just well done, it was burnt!!! I ordered the bolognaise pizza, the only bolognaise ingredient was minced beef, chef needs a holiday in Italy. Disappointed!
Alex B — Google review
The restaurant is a bit pricey for Morocco, but the food is good. Has a nice interior and there is plenty of tv’s to watch football matches which are usually on.

Food is okay. The entire space reeks of cigarettes, and the smell was so strong even if we were seated in a non-smoking area. Our waiter was super rude and not helpful at all.
Youssef L — Google review
The food was OK. Although it has a dedicated kids area, it needs to equip itself with better items for kids to keep them entertained. The TV should have cartoons instead of Moroccan channel football. Nevertheless, it is a good place if you want some peace of mind with comfy chairs.

Madison Coffee is a charming café nestled near the seafront of Tangier, offering a delightful array of food and desserts, such as Moroccan pastries, freshly pressed juice, and refreshing mint tea. It's renowned for its delectable breakfast options that are perfect for chilly mornings. Situated close to the City Centre shopping mall, Madison boasts a spacious and serene ambiance with ample facilities. It's an ideal spot to savor a quiet morning meal before embarking on urban adventures.
Had the maddison breakfast. It was excellent, the best tasting omelette I have had on this trip. I asked for the bread to be changed for slices of baguette, no problem, asked for salt and pepper to be added to omelette mixture, before cooking, no problem. Now that is what you call hood customer service. Only one waiter, though, and the poor guy is rushed off his feet, still provides an excellent service, with a smile on his face. Definitely reccomend and I will return.

Good atmosphere for breakfast. Fast and efficient service. Waiters are multilingual, no worries for your order. A rich variety of breakfasts proposed from 4 euro to 10 euro. We enjoyed it a lot!

The name of this café is ‘Madison’ and it’s near the City centre shopping mall. It's a quite and large place and in fact had much more facilities than a conventional party centre. they have a nice food and drinks ..and its very quiet especially in the morning...

This is in regards to the Bakery. It was a Bad service, not once, but all the time. Arrogant women servind the people slowly and with frowning faces. Extremely SLOW. Had to leave after waiting there forever. When I told them that servuce is slow they started ridiculing my note. Then I left the bakery. Will never go there again. Dr. Ramsi

Cafe
Cafe La Giralda is a charming establishment with an 18th-century classical decor, featuring royal palace-like chairs and a beautifully carved ceiling. It offers a variety of French cakes, pastries, and freshly pressed juices. The atmosphere is serene and perfect for a relaxing breakfast with an amazing view. The service is friendly and the vintage environment adds to the overall appeal.
Very nice breakfast, not too rich but enough for having a good start of the day. Atmosphere is as the one you see on the photos, even better actually. We went on a Monday morning, so probably because of the time it was almost empty which added for having really relaxing breakfast. I have to highlight also the amazing view. The waiter was very friendly and polite.
Rosen K — Google review
Great view, chill vibe. Prices are reasonable and the food is okay. My waiter did ask for my number and was pretty insistent on getting my contact information, which wasn't professional and made me a little uncomfortable
Mary K — Google review
Beautifully decorated and superb views. The staff were a bit sullen faced , not at all cheerful and welcoming, perhaps they should employ some younger staff. Breakfast was ok, hence the 3 stars. The chairs are very uncomfortable, the posture you have to hold is not conducive to sitting for long, maybe that is what management wants. I ate my food and left after a few minutes and chose a different cafe to spend my money and time.
Ash — Google review
Good food but the waiter took my change without my permission i was in chocked very rude action taking someone money in that way
خديجة ل — Google review
Cafe La Giralda is located on the first floor in the Maersk building on the Boulevard Pasteur, and it offers a fantastic view of the ocean and port from its large plate-glass windows. The place is perhaps best for special occasions as it is a bit more money than other nearby boulevard cafes, yet it is worth patronizing for the view. Personally I think the decor is a bit much, with lots of gold and intricately plastered ceiling, but this is part of its charm. The service is good and it is never really crowded, nor is it noisy, and there is no street noise. During the summer it is air-conditioned, and there is also WiFi.
Kenneth M — Google review
Very bad service, the bartender was not nice at all. We weren't allowed to use laptops for no reason even we wanted to get some things done and enjoy the view. Having such view must come with a good service and a nice staff.

Le Grand Café Mella is a modern and sophisticated beachfront café with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. It's an ideal spot to soak up the sun and watch families enjoying the sand during the summer months. The tranquil atmosphere, attentive service, and delicious tea make it a great place to visit. While slightly pricier, their breakfast menu offers value for money with options like multi-grain breads with cheese and tomato sauce, accompanied by orange juice, coffee, and water.
cool
Azhar_ L — Google review
I really liked nicely baked multi grain breads with cheese and tomato sauce. Since the breakfast menus, which cost about 40-45 dirhams, also include orange juice, coffee, and a small bottle of water, I think the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is very tranquil with peaceful sea view. Although the menus are written in French only, the waiters are very attentive, thus always willing to help to translate them if you need. Please try here when you are tired of the big & round Moroccan breads.
Soojin N — Google review
At first I was going to go to the Cafe Panorama nearby but decided to try this place. It seemed to be upscale, uniquely modern upstairs and downstairs, and indeed it is, as well as being very clean and it directly fronts on the popular beach in the Malabata area of Tangier. I decided to sit outside in a small garden whose two tables were in a setting that allowed me to view in the distance two large yachts belonging to the King of Saudia Arabia and the Emir of Qatar. After ordering a coffee I summoned a waiter to bring me the menu to see if any items might interest me. While the pizzas were reasonable in price, I saw that the prices for other food items were not so cheap. I decided to order a Caesar Salad at 70 Dirhams, mainly because of the anchovies, which I really like. The menu said the lettuce would be Romaine, but an odd variation arrived with another type of lettuce, very large shavings of parmesan cheese, and instead of croutons there were several pretzel-style bread sticks. There was minimal lettuce and just a few small anchovies, and not a true Caesar salad dressing--just oil and vinegar. I ate it all but was very disappointed with this choice on my first visit. Le Grand Cafe Mella in Tangier is, however, well worth the extra money for the views and you can also sit on an upper open-air terrace or downstairs outside in the sun, watching the ocean and people on the beach. It is fairly quiet inside and outside. Although my first order did not match what the menu said, on a subsequent visit with my brother we sat outside facing the beach and we enjoyed superb marinated anchovies omlette with delicious and fresh warm whole wheat bread for 33 Dirhams and a coffee that was 18 Dirhams and on the small side. And on a third visit my brother ordered a cheese omlette that was very good. Le Grand Cafe Mella in Tangier is a beautiful, comfortable and tranquil place. The waiters are attentive and polite. I highly recommend this place as a getaway from the noisy downtown.

Patisserie Bab Al Madina in Tangier is a delightful surprise for pastry lovers. The petit four and pastries are made with real produce, offering an out-of-this-world experience. The croissants are particularly noteworthy. Despite the high quality, the prices are quite affordable. Visitors highly recommend indulging in these treats during a visit to Tangier.
good pastry, good breakfast, reasonable price, good service, we had a little incident here, my son feel ill and throw up inside of the restaurant, to be clear, NOT THE FOOD PROBLEM. the staff did not said a thing about it. even though we had to clean up (the staff were so busy) I'm just glad they did not show and "unhappy" about the situation.

Bakery with adjoining restaurant/takeaway. We went to the restaurant that serves paninis, pizza, tacos and other meals ( see photo of menu). We had 'American'pizza, and the Fassi (eggs and khlie, bread, with coffee, orange juice). Very busy place... so understandably service a little slow. Food tastes great. Excellent value for money. Good location. Staff friendly. Highly recommended 👌

Some of the locals told us this sweet shop is known as “the king of sweets” in Tangier. So we got a box of their sweets and they did not disappoint! Everything we tasted here was wonderful, not too sweet like in USA but just sweet enough to make you want to try more. The lady behind the counter was so helpful. They have a big selection and we weren’t sure what to choose so I asked her to choose for me and everything in the box was delicious. Not much English spoken here but with google translate we had no problem. The price was good also, 25 treats for 60 MAD. This place is take away, no where to sit and eat. It is very clean here too which is a huge plus.

I was served by a very helpful young lady and took home over a kilo of mainly chocolate treats for the family, who enjoyed them very much. What I liked about this shop was that the sweets were covered with cling film, which kept bees from landing on them. I had been put off by this issue at other patisseries in Tangiers.

We were told by locals this is the best patisserie in Tangier! It certainly a very good place to buy authentic Moroccan pastry and sweets.
Dr. S — Google review
Customer-friendliness is not really present. I went shopping with friends and spent over €40 for sweets, but when I asked for an empty coffee cup, I was told I had to buy one for €1 because they don’t give out empty cups for free. I’ll check the quality of the sweets at home. I think with a purchase of that amount, they could be a bit more customer-friendly.

To be honest, I eat ice cream every day but I have never tasted an ice cream without taste like this. Even the ice cream in the souk has a taste. I had two scoops of ice cream without taste. And the waiter does not even hear what you order because of the high volume of the music.

Probably the best sorbets in Chaouen, if not in the whole country. They don’t melt easily and have authentic flavors. The staff is very friendly and always welcomes you with a smile. I’ve been eating their ice cream throughout my entire 4-day visit to Chefchaouen, and they’re right next to the old city gate. Loved this little café in Tangier! The coffee was so good!!!! The sweets were incredible too, from traditional Moroccan pastries full of nuts and honey to lighter cakes. Everything tasted so fresh and balanced, not overly sweet. The place itself feels cozy and welcoming, with a great mix of modern coffee vibes and Moroccan touches. Best coffee in town and pastries are amazing, very varied! Omar is very attentive, willing to give you the best time with charm and wit! A place to go back to several times during your stay in Tangier! Highly recommended.
Cecilia Q — Google review
Dopamine's pleasant atmosphere sets a promising stage that its service and policies utterly fail to uphold. Our experience was defined by a deeply troubling and discriminatory payment practice: the moment our Moroccan nationality was established, our functional credit card was refused. The staff first fabricated a false excuse about the network, and when confronted, they simply insisted on cash, demonstrating a clear intent to avoid a digital transaction trace. This unprofessionalism was embodied by a specific staff member (a curly-haired gentleman) whose indifferent, clock-in/clock-out attitude conveyed a complete disregard for customer care. Coupled with a mediocre meal that did not reflect the advertised menu due to multiple unavailable items, the overall impression was one of systemic neglect and racial bias. For a business that relies on public patronage, such practices are not only unacceptable but unsustainable.

Crafted by the owner himself, who honed his skills during his time in Italy, the gelato served here is a testament to passion and expertise.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a gelato paradise in our city, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! This gem of a place handcrafts their own gelato using the freshest ingredients, and you can truly taste the love that goes into each scoop. The flavors they offer are a delightful mix of classic favorites and unique creations, all of which are bursting with rich and authentic tastes. What sets this gelato place apart is their dedication to using fresh, high-quality ingredients, sourced locally in souk. Every bite is a testament to the care and effort put into creating each flavor. I could taste the essence of ripe fruits, creamy pistachios(is a must pick) and smooth noisette in every luscious mouthful. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, eager to help you navigate the myriad of flavors available. As the self-proclaimed best gelato in the city, they truly live up to their reputation. After experiencing this heavenly treat, I can confidently say that I have found my go-to spot for gelato in Tetouan. If you're a gelato enthusiast or simply looking to indulge in a sweet escape, this place is an absolute must-visit! PS. When we want a snack in Tetouan, this is the only place we go to. They have very nice savory pastries (mini Bsteja, seafood, liver, mini pizzas, and many more). There is also a wide variety of patisseries. They have yummy juices (fresh squeezed orange, mango, lemonade, almond milkshake) and, of course, mint tea.
