Nestled just a stone's throw from the seafront, Albarino Tapas is a vibrant and inviting restaurant that has been delighting diners for over ten years. With both counter and table seating, it offers an array of exquisite Spanish dishes crafted from local produce. Imagine savoring acorn-fed Iberico pork belly paired with clams, parsley, and garlic or indulging in locally caught sea bass cured in gin alongside couscous and pink grapefruit.
Had a wonderful meal sat at the counter with Sherry looking after us brilliantly. What a superstar you have there!! Food was all incredible, particularly the attention to detail on the meat and cheese board. Meatballs, croquettes and the chicken were great ...the confit duck was to die for! I had to take my basque cheesecake home because l didnt have the space. That was also epic. Really really lovely place.

Albariño is a great place and the food is fantastic. Great portions for tapas (for English standards) as some places’ portions can be small. Great selection of wine too. Highly recommend. Need to make a booking, especially on the weekends.

Second time dining here tonight and it really is some of the best food I’ve had out in Thanet, especially if wanting Tapas. I feel the quality and value is great and all the dishes we tried were the perfect balance and full of flavour! Would highly recommend - lovely little intimate window table in the summer gave a very authentic spanish feel as a bonus!

I had already very good things before coming, I’m just gutted I hadn’t visited sooner, the food was so much better than I could have imagined, it’s so nice to find a proper tapas restaurant in Thanet. Everything from the olives straight the way through to dessert was so lovely. The Chicken dish especially, is unbelievable. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. I’m very grateful also, I managed to get a table at late notice. Will definitely be back again soon. Thank you guys :)

It was our first time to ALBARIÑO it was our 35th anniversary and the staff Sherrie and Daisy was amazing. Steven the owner and chef making the food so gorgeous and different. We will go again for another special occasion. Thank you to you all Carol & David Simpson

Given that this place had so many good reviews, my expectations were very high. For me, the food was OK. We had a range of tapas incl gambas rojo, crab salad, meatballs, croquettes. It was pleasant but I cannot name one dish that had a wow factor. Having said that, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was cultural.
Ftse — Google review
Highly recommend this tapas bar - super cute and cozy! Our favourites were medjool dates with goat cheese, chickpea and fennel chips, the skate and the risotto. Churros & cheesecake were lovely too. Certainly would come back again when I next visit Broadstairs.

Went with a party of five. Booked easily online and was shown to our table by the friendly server. She wasted no time in making us feel comfortable and talked us through the menus. Food was excellent with generous portions and beautiful presented. Highly recommended!

Outstanding experience. Beautifully cooked fish (I had scallops then the best skate wing I’ve ever eaten). Lovely relaxed but efficient service. Chef came out to explain a wait for main courses as they’d served a large group, no problem. Go go go!

Popped in on the off chance. We were offered a lovely seat. The menu was amazing- hard to choose from the great dishes offered. We went for Sunday roast, pork in fennel with a large portion of vegetables and Dover Sole. Lovely atmosphere, amazing food. Thank you so much.

Really enjoyed it! A solid 10 out of 10! Lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food was cooked beautifully and tasted amazing, especially the mussel in white wine. The service was warm and welcoming, and the dishes came out quickly. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat!

Excellent service and food. We were in Broadstairs for the day and wanted a quick dinner before home. Luckily they managed to fit us in right on opening at 6pm. Absolutely perfect service and we will definitely return when in town again. The sea bass fillet, with lemon mash and spinach was cooked beautifully. I could easily have eaten the same again. The skate meuniere was as expected the same quality food and luckily my wife and I always share so got to try both. Desserts were also interesting with a lovely refreshing meringue with summer fruits and a lemon polenta that was excellent. Highly recommend and wish all the team well as service was brilliant. Thanks

Had a really nice evening meal yesterday, skate wing with chips, parmesan brocoli and garlic green beans, and then delicious strawberry cheesecake. The food was well prepared/cooked, the service very friendly, and the general atmosphere very nice. Only one complaint.... being a driver, the drinks choice (aside from soft drinks) was very limited..... to one 0% beer. A couple more, say 0.5% beers, would be most welcome.
Mark V — Google review
Lovely food with huge portions. Really enjoyed our meal, service was friendly and swift.
Angelina C — Google review
We had a decent time here, the starter of bread and humous were amazing. I found some of my mussels tasted a bit funky. Not sure. I think I'd still go back but would order something else. My boyfriends burger tasted amazing. Service isn't included and you need cash to give it. The staff were super friendly and nice.

Kebbells Seafood Bar • Restaurant is a Michelin guide recommended spot located above Viking Bay, offering globally-inspired seafood dishes. The dining room features a handsome setting with parquet flooring and bare wood tables. Guests can savor imaginative creations like tandoori scallops with yogurt, crispy chickpeas, raisin gel, and coriander or whole flame grilled sea bream with garlic and lemon.
First time in Broadstairs and we decided to have lunch here. What an incredible place. Food was espectacular, the freshness of the seafood and the salad and tartare were incredible. Words cannot describe this. You most come and try it. Also the whole time Latin music was sounding which was comforting for us since we are from South America. Desserts and drinks valuable. Definitely you get what you pay for. We will come back .

WOW. Outstanding. The food was perfect. Really decent size portions and everything tasted incredible. Options for both fish, meat and veggies. The service was excellent. The vibe was chill too. I can’t wait to come back! True perfection!

Wow just wow, just eaten at Kebbells for my wife’s birthday. The nicest touch was a birthday card awaiting my wife at our table 👍🏻 The lovely lady who served us was super friendly and went through the whole menu with us as it was our first visit ( but not our last ). She ran through the days specials with us which all sounded amazing. Firstly we tried to of the Chefs special Maldon Oysters which were amazing !! We opted to start with 2 small sharing plates which were Roasted Scallops plus the BBQ Octopus, again both cooked to perfection and so tasty. For main we had the Trio of fish plus the Samphire, again absolutely fabulous and so tasty. I would highly recommend this seafood restaurant and will be back soon.
Noel H — Google review
This was the first time I had had dinner at Kebbells having previously visited for brunch. We decided on the seafood platter to share and it did not disappoint. There was a great variety and plenty of it. The oysters were delicious but my favourite was the flame grilled mackerel. The service is outstanding, there is something so warm and welcoming about the staff you almost feel like they are friends. The decor is also delightful. I would highly recommend to both visitors and locals.

Visited Botany Bay for the day and found this hidden gem just a 10 minute drive away. The restaurant was fully booked (always a good sign) but we managed to bag a couple of seats outside. The restaurant inside was buzzing with a great atmosphere and lovely decor. The staff were super friendly and the food was amazing. Birthday late lunch during Broadstairs Folk Week. We’re were lucky enough to get a table on Sunday. Ordered the smoked cod roe & focaccia to start and seafood platter to share. We were blown away by the quality, flavour and freshness of the seafood. Delicious cod’s roe with the best breads ever! You know somewhere is just fantastic when you book again for the next day! We returned for the same starters and this time the Trio of Fish…. Which was, I apologise, orgasmic!!! Can’t wait to return. Lilly deserves a special mention; super friendly & discreetly attentive. Thank you to all the staff!

Came to Broadstairs for a seafood feast and I have to say they have an exquisite and unique menu for all seafood lovers! These small plates are actually enough to keep you full, but we still ordered the Trio of Fish to make sure we don't miss out! (Not on the photo) the mussels (thai style) is a must try, scallops were divine and the gambas were perfectly cooked! Would definitely recommend :) their chocolate fudge is also one of the best that I've tried :)

Kebbells is a fantastic restaurant along victoria parade in Broadstairs, you will need to book a table as they are very popular, booking is easy online and you get a quick email confirmation. We had a fantastic wedding anniversary meal at lunchtime on 12th September, my wife is coeliac and the staff at Kebblles were very knowledgeable and very helpful. We had the seafood platter with a side of pattata bravos and samphire followed by the trio of desserts Thoroughly enjoyable and we'll certainly visit again.

Nestled in the picturesque seaside town of Broadstairs, Bar Ingo is a delightful new addition to the local dining scene, inspired by the vibrant flavors of San Sebastian. This charming small plates bar boasts an inviting atmosphere with its stylish whitewashed brickwork and tiled counter dining area. With a menu that changes regularly, guests can savor Spanish classics like chilled gazpacho soup and padron peppers paired with romesco sauce.
Incredible little wine and small plates bar we just stumbled across. The service was brilliant and the staff were very friendly. The food was delicious with very fresh seafood and fish, and really nice wine options. Would recommend to anyone!!

Wow this place is an absolute gem. Everything was fantastic, the food, the service, the vibes. We were incredibly well looked after by the staff, sat at the bar and they were all happy to chat and recommend the best dishes. I can’t recommend it enough.
Luke L — Google review
Me, my husband and a few friends attended on a Saturday evening it’s such a great spot! They do small plates and every dish feels super fresh and full of flavour. Perfect for sharing (though you’ll probably want to keep a few to yourself). The wine list is excellent too, really well chosen and pairs nicely with the food. The vibe is relaxed, the staff are friendly, and it’s the kind of place you just want to hang out for a while. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for tasty food and great wine in a laid-back setting. Thanks for accommodating us (The Ashworths).
Emily S — Google review
Very friendly atmosphere in this cosy restaurant with great staff who make you feel at home. It is a tight space, but the tables aren't too squashed in, and it makes for a nice environment to relax and talk over wine and food. The wine selection is great and the food is delicious with huge olives and freshly prepared small dishes. A very hungry dinner should go for 4 plates, the average eater probably 3.
Andrew W — Google review
Fantastic small plates, decent wines (lovely chilled red) & Estrella Galicia on draught. An absolute gem that we’ll be coming back to.
Rob W — Google review
Honestly this meal was AMAZING! We sat at the bar because we booked last minute but honestly they were the best seats in the house! If you are in Broadstairs for the weekend you have to come here, every single item on the menu was AMAZING! Also, the staff were absolutely amazing, from the hosts (Josh and Grace), to the chefs (Rio and Louie) they were so great! We were last min bookings and they accommodated. Super friendly and the food was so tasty. A star

Loved it. Better than being in San Sebastián? Maybe! Everything on the menu was GOOD! Chorizo, Smoked Crevettes, Gilda Pintxos
Jessica M — Google review
We were looking for small plates having had ice cream at Morellis earlier. Walking past and decided the menu looked interesting, it was suitably busy and someone outside recommended it. Great food - not standard tapas but very interesting and tasty plates. Plus good drinks all at a reasonable price. We raised the average age somewhat but service was excellent and a great vibe.

The Chapel Bar and Bookshop in Broadstairs offers an intimate dining experience in a Grade II listed former St Marys Chapel. This quirky bar also serves as a second-hand bookshop, creating a unique atmosphere for visitors. With a great selection of ales, lagers, and ciders, along with delicious cheeses and nibbles, it's the perfect spot for an evening drink with friends. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are always ready to offer advice on choosing drinks.
Great combo of a pub and a library! It’s a very silent place to enjoy your drink with choices of more than thousands of book around you
Rashesh R — Google review
Pleased to see this place is still going. It's a quirky building and the pub is full of books. You can buy them, read them or ignore them. Beer is good and the atmosphere is Boho but not in an irritating way.
Matthew C — Google review
Lovely staff and an authentic venue filled with old books and interesting people. It seems to change every time I go in there, so this weekend it was a more metal band/young crowd, but a mix of all ages and pretty friendly, though an extremely drunk guy at the bar fist bumped me then decided he wanted to fight me but was too pi****d to get off his bar stool. Idiot. Nonetheless, it was a great visit and I always look forward to going back. Highly recommend.
Andrew W — Google review
The Chapel the name read and beer prices were mentioned on display which got my attention, filled with a library of books inside and mentioned chess club on wednesdays after 7pm. I simply had to go in. Everyone was welcome and all allowed to play with a mix of all age groups which was amazing. Super cool locals I would say. Staff was super amazing and the kindest souls, with as simple a gesture as to provide a glass of water without asking when they felt you weren’t feeling well ; which is hard to find nowadays.
Savio D — Google review
I visited this pub/bookshop/micro pub on a recent visit to Broadstairs. The bar had three real ales and a selection of real cider on sale. One cider was on hand pump. The beer was of good quality and cheap compared to many seaside tourist pubs at £4.30 a pint. Inside the walls are covered in books. The main bar is down some steps in the chapel to the rear. Above the bar is a second sitting area. The music being played was 80s/90s

Great Little Craft Beer Bar... Lovers Of Brewdog Means That The Taps Are Quality & The Beer Is On Par... Great Selection Of Brews, Great Price... Addition Of Coffee & Snacks... Book To Read While You Chill In A Quaint Yet Impressive Bar... Great Music, Friendly & Welcoming Team & Relaxing Vibe!!! Perfect Stop By The Sea!!! 👍👍👍
Glen — Google review
Turning the music up to full volume at quarter past 10 to get your guests to leave is NOT how you run a successful pub. A polite word would have been enough. It'll be the pub across the road for us next time. Pity the chapel used to be a pub with a special atmosphere.
Christopher J — Google review
Visited 26th July 25. Very disappointing on this occasion. There is only one toilet which was dirty. Beer stale and overpriced. We left 3/4 of our pints. Owner needs to spend some money on updating toilets and management of beer. Yes it is a unique pub but we won't be going back as it currently is.

If you're looking for a delightful afternoon experience, look no further than Afternoon Tea at The Yarrow Hotel. Nestled in Broadstairs, this charming hotel boasts a rich history dating back to 1894 when it was originally built as a children's convalescent home. With its spacious corridors designed for play, the ambiance is both nostalgic and inviting. The Yarrow Hotel features an elegant solarium where you can indulge in a traditional afternoon tea while soaking up the serene atmosphere.
We visited the yarrow today for an afternoon tea. The ambience and service was excellent. We were given a selection of sandwiches, small desserts and two plain scones with cream and jam each. All the small desserts were delicious, but we were disappointed to be given two plain scones. Although the scone was very tasty, I did not want to eat another scone of the same flavour and felt it was very unusual to be given this. An alternative Savoury option could have been given instead of a second plain scone perhaps a small quiche or sausage roll could have accompanied the sandwiches or a small slice of cake. There was not in fact any traditional cake offered. The food was very tasty, but fell short because of the scones. We all observed that Al the other tables had in fact not eaten the second scone either.

The Tartar Frigate is a historic 17th-century inn in Broadstairs, offering stunning views of Viking Bay. The traditional-style restaurant on the first floor provides panoramic views and features live folk music in the pub. Head chef Tom Chalklin specializes in seafood dishes, such as Mediterranean seafood salad and roast monkfish wrapped in Parma ham. Additionally, there are options for carnivores like Barbary duck breast on a sweet potato rosti.
Excellent service, lovely staff that were very polite and great to chat to. The food was really good, especially the scallops which were on the chef's specials. The crab was really good and the fish was soft and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was incredible and I highly recommend this place for a cozy seaside meal.

We visited this lovely seaside restaurant located on the first floor, with stunning beach views right outside the window. I highly recommend going around sunset for the most perfect scenery. Even during the heatwave in the UK summer, the air conditioning was excellent, making it very comfortable to dine indoors. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and the food is absolutely delicious. We ordered the hot seafood platter, lobster pasta, and pork belly – all of them were amazing. Highly recommended!
Gun M — Google review
We received the most excellent service dining here! Everyone was so friendly and nice. The atmosphere was very cozy with a nice sea view. The seafood dishes were also really good, we got both the hot starters, mixed seafood share plate and linguini and it was plenty for 4 of us. Thank you for a wonderful meal

Incredible restaurant, the sharing platter was delicious and so filling, some of the best food I’ve ever had. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful especially Aidan. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

We just had a fantastic lunch with even better service. I called to check we could bring our dog and was so pleased to hear it is super dog friendly! Which was proven when Bernie received a treat immediately on arrival from Chantal. (He was also doted on throughout lunch) The food was generous, tasty and obviously really fresh. We had the fish pie and scampi, both absolutely delicious. I highly recommend, it is so close to the water. Thank you!

This was an amazing seafood restaurant we went to whilst on holiday last week In Broadstairs and we loved it from walking in. The service from the waitress and waiter was great. friendly and helpful advising on courses. The seafood we chose was amazing perfectly cooked and served , my husband had lemon sole and I had sea bream. Delicious flavours. The desserts were stunning too. The best crème brûlée ever tasted. Would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be returning.

Lovely place, well worth a second visit. The scallops in the starter were generously sized, and the fish portions were very generous as well. I think it was the biggest portion of ray wing I have ever seen. The catch-of-the-day version of ray wing was clearly trying to compensate for the smaller size, but it was still satisfyingly large. The addition of crayfish brought variety, and I really enjoyed the seaweed that was served. The hosting team is v good, clearly working hard to impress and a pleasure to watch.
Gennady B — Google review
Food and service in the restaurant with its nice views were excellent. We hadn't booked and were here for the Blues Festival, so we're lucky to get a table. You can eat cheaper in Broadstairs, but I'm not sure you'll eat better! We returned a day later to catch one of the bands at the festival and although the pub was packed, the service was friendly, fast, and efficient . There's a wide selection of regular drinks as you'd expect, but the Guinness gets a nod as it was spot on. The ale drinkers we were with were equally impressed with their brews. All in all, a great pub, great food, drinks and staff, but we'd recommend you book if eating in the restaurant, especially at busy times. Maybe see you there for the next Blues Bash!

Nestled at the head of the beach, Twenty Seven Harbour Street is a charming rustic café that boasts stunning sea views and an inviting atmosphere. With its stained-glass windows and cozy interior featuring chapel chairs and wooden tables, this eatery offers a delightful escape for both tourists and locals alike. The menu focuses on small sharing plates cooked over fire, showcasing modern British cuisine crafted from local produce.
Simply the best restaurant in Broadstairs and, by my reckoning, one of the very best in the country. With beautiful surroundings and a warm welcome, the restaurant is found tucked on the shaded road running up from the beach. The wine is of the highest quality, and the food is sublime, not a word I use lightly. Every dish is perfection, from the fresh oysters to the small plates of inspired, seasonal dishes, it's a sensation. I bet highly recommend this restaurant having visited with my friend on four occasions now. A real treat.

Superb all round. Excellent service and staff. Small plates lead you to try everything and I'm glad we sampled most of the menu as it was my wife's birthday. The Tempura red peppers with goats curd are incredible, followed by perfectly cooked venison and sirloin. The Sussex Charmer souffle was also wow. Our dog ozzy was also enjoying his sample menu on the side and now gives me the nod if we walk past. Broadstairs has a wonderful selection of restaurants and this goes to the top of my favourite dinners. Highly recommend.

We came for a joint birthday dinner and were blown away with the level of both service and the food. Some of the guests we dined with have previously eaten in Michelin starred restaurants and they stated the food was on par if not above that of where they’ve eaten before. They accommodated our request of putting some birthday candles in the Eel croquettes dish without hesitation and our server was warm, friendly and very knowledgable. The food was exceptional with the standout dishes including the smoked eel croquettew, prawn with mint and chilli, the stonebass crudo and the lamb. The wine was delicious and the Scottish G&T was sensational. Overall an amazing dinner and very special for the two birthdays had.

Incredible dining experience! From the service which was attentive with genuine warmth and interest, to the food which was out of this world, we absolutely loved our evening here. Every flavour on every plate could be tasted and it was a faultless evening.

A great choice if you're looking for beautifully cooked, delicious plant-based options (alongside local seafood and meat dishes for pescatarians and meat eaters). Very close to Viking Bay with a limited sea view. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is relaxed. Nice decor. The restaurant is dog-friendly and allows well behaved mutts on a short lead. Customer toilets are clean and modern. A special mention to our fantastic server/sommelier George who made us feel very welcome and who has a good understanding of the wine list. Would deffo visit again. Happy to recommend.

We were there for Sunday lunch so the menu was slightly switched up. Their most popular small plates as starters, then selection of roast. Everything we ate was delicious. Tempura peppers filled with goats cured, stone bass crudo, and roast cod for main with the most insanely delicious sides I have ever eaten (I need the recipe for their potato3es). Add to that the most lovely staff and you have a winner.

Amazing food and such friendly staff! Seafood options are great and the restaurant is in a lovely setting looking out on the beach. I had a lovely Kent rosé that I would recommend!

"The Charles Dickens" is a renovated Victorian inn located in the sea-side town of Broadstairs, where the famous author used to holiday. The town has embraced its connection to Dickens, with landmarks such as the Dickens House Museum and annual festivals dedicated to the author's life and works. Visitors can enjoy a mix of modern and classic cuisine at various establishments like the first-floor restaurant in "The Charles Dickens" or other nearby dining options like Royal Albion Hotel, Prezzo, or Chiappini's.
We sat upstairs, overlooking the sea….. Beautiful British Seaside Bliss! Every member of staff were exceptionally polite and friendly. In fact, we were sat in earshot of the kitchen where the chefs’ laughter and camaraderie set the tone for the cheerful atmosphere. Our prawn cocktail’s were heaped with prawns. The fish and chips were served piping hot and were scrummy! Thank you to our outstanding waitress, Lottie! Shame we do not live nearby because based on our visit we would be regular customers. Thank you to you all!

The fish and chips were an instant classic — perfectly crispy batter, fresh white fish, and delicious fries. It was a comforting, well-executed dish that didn’t feel greasy or heavy. The soft shell crab 🍔 burger, however, was the real standout. The crab was expertly fried, with just the right crunch, tucked into a soft bun with fresh toppings, avocado, yummy bacon 🥓 and a sauce that tied everything together beautifully. It’s not something you find just anywhere, and they nailed it. The staff were attentive throughout the meal. They made sure everything was running smoothly and that we were well taken care of. Drinks 🍹 were great, too.

The Charles Dickens is the place to go for the best pub food in Thanet. Their vegan breakfast is incredible, the steak and chips I had recently was the best i've ever had and the Sunday roasts are just everything ❤️ The staff are amazing and the views just top everything off. My kids love coming here for lunch too!

Went here with my family to celebrate my birthday. Lovely atmosphere but waited 50 mins for the first dish to be delivered to the table (they forgot about us and started making the food when my dad reminded them 40 mins since paying) the last dish arrived 56 mins since paying. After all that waiting it would’ve been nice to receive complimentary dessert/another drink/anything, but nothing was given. The food wasn’t too bad, some better than others, fish & chips and cheeseburger was good but poke bowl not so much (shame :( ). Like I said a lovely atmosphere and you can see the sea from a lot of the pub. Although the food wasn’t too bad, would probably only return for a drink, but honestly I don’t think I would return.

Great service. A family and friends table for 8 with a baby and 3 year old too. Fabulous food. Lovely atmosphere.

We enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch here. There were 6 of us and we were very fortunate to be seated with a sea view. The food was delicious and the waiting staff were brilliant. Helpful from the moment we arrived. Every member of staff who came to our table was polite, efficient and generally lovely. We will definitely return, when next in the area.

For the whole experience was amazing, I cannot express enough how amazing the team was. While there was delays with the starters, we got the drinks compensated for the delay. Me and my boyfriend were surprised but happy. When it came to the main course. While mistakenly reading the menu on my part, I didn't see any mentions of. "Mussels" and somehow read it as a pasta dish, with the risk of my crustacean allergy was high. I chose to swap the dish while being embarrassed. Since then it went on, the team was lovely, the chefs are hard working, everyone was amazing. Thank you guys for the experience. You've also been recieved a personal written thank you whilst an apology for my mistake. I will definitely return back next year.

At the seaside you have to try local food so I did with Cod and chips. What a sad day for fish and chips. The outside of the batter was a strong burnt but the inside was goo not cooked the plate was swimming in oil. I’ve seen better in a box down here. Wish I’d had that. Ketchup is the cheap vinegar saturated one disgusting coleslaw, weak watery the only thing is the chips was ok. Give this place a miss and eat out a box.

This informal spot prides itself on using quality ingredients to create flavorful dishes at reasonable prices. Whether you're indulging in their renowned Sunday roast or savoring unique offerings like scotch egg and smoked eel, each meal promises generous portions that will leave you satisfied.
Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch here this weekend - everything was perfectly simple and perfectly executed, in a busy setting. Beautiful roast (we had chicken and the beef option) - moist and succulent with generous portions and perfect roasties. A very reasonably priced wine list just added to the enjoyment. Service was great -attentive but not pushy. Would recommend and will be returning!

Jens and Kelly have something very special going at The Pickled Herring. The quality and choice of food is fantastic, and the wine list is reasonably priced too. The service is friendly and efficient, and the whole atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We had the scotch egg, smoked eel, and Tomahawk steak, all of which were delicious! I would highly recommend eating here, and booking is necessary at weekends!

One of the best Sunday roasts I’ve ever had. Portions were huge but balanced; meat excellent and everyone gets a Yorkshire pudding. Wife really enjoyed the vegetarian Wellington and kids had half portions for half the price. Can’t say fairer than that!

Such a beautiful restaurant! We had a roast dinner and were impressed from the moment we walked in. The drinks menu was lovely, the food so tasty and our waitress Kaite was brilliant—her service (and the whole team’s) was amazing. The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and welcoming. We would highly recommend a visit and will definitely be returning to try more dishes !

Just visited The Pickled Herring for the first time and had a Sunday roast….what a little gem!!! Food was amazing and reasonably priced for the portion size and quality of the food. The lady serving us (I think she was the owner) was very helpful and accommodating as we had 2 dogs, there was even a bowl of water and bowl of dog treats waiting for them which was an amazing touch🐾 We will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family. Thank you for a lovely meal 😊

Went to Harper's on Friday 15th August 2025 to listen to a band called BLOW. Great venue, hardworking staff, huge selection of beers, spirits and cocktails at very reasonable prices. The age range of customers was fantastic; from 20s to 70s, and everyone happy, friendly and dancing like no-one was watching. An absolutely fantastic night and would recommend this bar to anyone wanting to enjoy good company and great music at an affordable price.

Visited this small venue yesterday (21.10.25) with my two teens boys, I liked the building’s exterior so ventured in. The bar man was very pleasant and let me sample a beer before buying as I was unsure I’d like it (I didn’t). We visited a few pubs (and a cafe) while in Margate/Broadstairs (8 in total) and this was the best price for a round of drinks by a long stretch (2 cokes and 1/2 lager & lime) which we enjoyed in a shady corner. Is this a jazz bar? We decided the music was jazzy and we enjoyed it as a change for our ears.

The first time I have eaten at Harper’s Bar but it definitely won’t be the last. If was a really good meal with plenty of tender meat and a variety of fresh well cooked veg. It was also a very reasonable price!

We fancied a Sunday Roast in Broadstairs and wow we weren't disappointed! It had loads of perfectly cooked veg Inc. Sprouts and swede and all the usuals. 2 Yorkshires and I had the nut roast which with my first mouthful I was in bliss. Additionally they went out of their way to make a fabulous mushroom gravy for the veggie dinner. My husband had Lamb which was cooked to perfection. Comfortably full now and enjoying my Lemon Drizzle G & T. Best Roast in Broadstairs for a fantastic price too!

Nestled in the charming seaside town of Broadstairs, Kent, Le Vintage opened its doors in the summer of 2024 and has quickly become a go-to destination for food enthusiasts. This stylish bar and kitchen is renowned for its exceptional meat dishes, particularly their hot stone steaks that promise an unforgettable dining experience. Guests rave about the melt-in-your-mouth tenderness of the steaks, which are so perfectly cooked that they hardly require a knife!
Fantastic decor with textured walls and stunning world scenery displayed on the screen. Ordered two seafood platters and cheesy herby bread - the vegan option. The presentation of the food, the quality of the ingredients and the taste were all first class. We should have chosen a bigger table but the whole visit was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely outstanding! Le Vintage in Brodsters is truly a gem. I can honestly say this was the best steak I have ever had in my life – cooked to perfection, beautifully seasoned, and served with such care and attention to detail. The sauces and salads were just as amazing, full of fresh flavors that complemented the steak perfectly. Everything was presented so beautifully and tasted even better than it looked. The atmosphere makes it a wonderful place to enjoy a meal and spend quality time with family. The service was excellent, and you can really feel the passion for good food in every dish. I would highly recommend Le Vintage to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. Simply perfect!

I was curious to try the popular chicken skewer and finally went there the other day with my partner and it didn’t disappoint! Absolutely delicious flavours, chicken was perfectly cooked and the sides and chipotle sauce complemented the dish perfectly. My partner had the hot stone steak which was also amazing. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, great selection of cocktails. Can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes.

We came in as a group of seven for the hot stone steaks and the whole experience was incredible. The steaks were absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious – so tender we didn’t even need steak knives, which says everything about the quality. Dave was an outstanding host, striking the perfect balance between attentive service and light-hearted humour, which really made the evening special. The ambience was spot on too – warm, welcoming, and with a fantastic atmosphere that made us feel right at home. An all-round five-star experience that we’d happily recommend to anyone. We’ll definitely be back!
John D — Google review
My wife and I booked this place for 6pm for our 20th wedding anniversary. We ordered all the food around 610pm. We had a satay chicken starter to share, then we both had the fillet steak and dripping fries, onion rings and coleslaw on the side. We both thought that the hot stone idea was absolutely brilliant, so you can cook to how you want your steak. Our waiter was fantastic. Our own personal criticisms are, the satay dip for the satay chicken strips, did not really taste like a peanut butter satay. It was still good and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The crystals of rock salt on the steak was a bit to big and crunchy for us. Finally, as much as it is nice to have a bit of time between the starter and the main, it took about 30-45 minutes after the starter to receive the main coarse. We would definitely go back again.

Perfectly respectable old boozer. Plenty of wood throughout makes this one of the more handsome pubs in the town. Usual local beers on tap (none of which really blew me away but good enough for a sesh). Big glass windows through which you can people-watch. Solid.

Staying at an Airbnb a short walk away, we walked into town looking for a late lunch. We drove in from South London where we're staying for our vacation. We're from the States visiting dear London friends and are spending a few days in Broadstairs visiting more folks. Anyway, halfway here our two kids started yowling in hunger but we pressed on. We'd been to Broadstairs before and we knew the town had a bunch of great eateries near the beaches. But we didn't know about Neptune's Hall until today! The place was great! I'm soooo 100% all about pub life so after popping out heads in to see what's up, I was like, ahhhh, yeah. Everyone was so welcoming and the bar staff was lovely (just be sure to hold the door to close it if you stop in, cause it slams). My wife and I got olive anchovy pizza and our girls split a plain pie. Then drinks. A lovely bourbon cocktail for me and a frozen mojito for my wife (served strong which, for my long suffering wife, is just what the Dr ordered). And if that wasn't enough, the pizzas came with a small pot of homemade chili sauce. I slathered it on everything and when I found out I could buy some, I merrily gave the nice bartender £5 (well, my wife paid, but still). I'm looking forward to trying it on a breakfast sandwich back in Philly, instead of hot sauce. Now on to the beach, but we'll be back before we head back to London!

This is such a great pub and the perfect place to have as a base or meeting point in Broadstairs. It's in the perfect location on the corner of Harbour Street 2 mins from the beach. They do 2-4-1 pizzas on Wednesdays, and delicious roasts at the weekend. The landlord is a great guy, and the staff are so friendly. I wish I had this pub as my local.
Sian G — Google review
Shockingly, who I have later been informed as the MANAGER of the place stated verbally abusing my boyfriend for “slamming” the door on a day with yellow warning wind, after I had left behind my bag in the pub. I stepped in as I was afraid things would escalate, despite my boyfriend being a loyal and docile patron of the place. The manager intimated me and had alcohol on his breath and was very aggressive. I have never felt more afraid of any pub, which is a shame as we have been here plenty of times, all love to the bar staff who are incredibly sweet. I will be raising this with Sheperd Neame as we were both completely baffled after the experience.

This became of a fast favourite of mine and my partner while we were staying i. Broadstairs. The staff were all so lovely and chatty and made us feel really welcome. Felt like a little bit of a pilgrimage... apart from the whole connection with the famous sketch, we have had beers brewed by these guys at the annual food festival in Broadstairs and always been really impressed. Finally got up to St Peters to check the place out and was not disappointed. A proper craft micro brewer in action with a selection of beers available that were delicious. Lovely visit with a very friendly and helpful waitress from Moldova, we had bread and olives with oil and balsamic vinegar, I had a escallope of veal with Parma Ham, and mushrooms and sautéed potatoes, and my colleagues had pasta Posillipo, with clams, others had chicken scallops with cheese sauce, and another had lamb ragu! We forced ourselves to drink 3 bottles of Multopuchuano wine and 5 Gin & Tonics as well as some water! Total meal bill came to £247 including tips. Will go there again!

Avoid. Grim lunch and dreadful service. Ordered squid linguine with mussels and sea bass while friend ordered lamb. The linguine arrived and was gritty from the mussels and we were told the other main was on its way. Ate at a snails pace but it had still failed to arrive before I finished my food. Took another 15mins after that before it arrived. Was only just about edible with lots of gristle. One vague "sorry" when we complained. Not only did the bill stay the same - they even added service charge ( we didn't pay it clearly). We are reasonably local but can only presume they are here to fleece tourists and clearly don't care.

Stumbled across the restaurant when we were visiting Broadstairs. We selected dishes from the set menu. The starters were very hearty and delicious but the bruschetta was a bit burned. The main portion was smaller than expected and the chicken was dry but we had a nice time and the meal was overall tasty.

We dined here for dinner and were thoroughly impressed. I ordered the Spaghetti Sciue Sciue, which was exceptionally flavourful, it was evident that only the finest ingredients were used and the dish was cooked to perfection. Compliments to the chefs for their outstanding work, and to the entire team for their impeccable service.

Wonderful place. Service incredibly attentive and helpful without being intrusive. The food was fantastic, reminded us of holidays in Italy. Seafood pasta and seafood risotto both excellent and very generous on seafood and portion size. Very knowledgeable and careful around allergies (gluten and dairy in party). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and return.

Delicious food and lovely staff. Dedicated vegan menu and very accommodating for people's needs. Huge portions and super tasty. Staff were very knowledgeable, friendly and made the atmosphere delightful. I would recommend booking as it can get very busy as it's a popular spot (rightfully so).

We recently stayed here for 4 nights and had breakfast at restaurants. We enjoyed every bit of our stay here. Food is extremely good. Love it. Highly recommended. Value for money.

Came here today with family. Three mains and started ordered. Most of the food was good portions and taste. Loved my hallomi and red pepper kebab with rice rather than chips. Server was great. Very attentive and helpful, thank you Jon. Some furnishings slightly tired, particularly the chairs. Had a voucher for 30% off Mains so good value.

We had a great meal here and service was great. Steak and hunter's chicken were banging. The only reason for a 4/5 is the choice of mayo as sauce for whitebait. Would've preferred tartar sauce or any other mayo based sauce but not plain mayo.

This was the first time visiting The Canterbury Bell with my parents, who are in their 80’s and it certainly won’t be our last. We eat out at least once a week and was introduced to The Canterbury Bell through a leaflet through the door offering a discount on mains.Service was exceptional, something that is very rare these days. We were quickly seated and greeted by our waiter, who was really friendly but not over the top. The choice of food was excellent. When served it was well presented and hot. There were clean plates all round. Must add that puddings delicious too. Particular favourite with my parents was the Cherry & apple Crumble served with piping hot custard in a separate jug. Will definitely be returning in the very near future. Thanks to the team for an enjoyable afternoon with my parents.

The waiters are amazing, but the quality of the food has been getting worse. In our latest visit my daughter and I ordered the steak, both rare, and both steaks came out well done. It was like the whole meal had been cooked in the oven rather than the steaks cooked on the hob. We had to send my daughter’s back and they returned a perfectly cooked steak but I think we won’t go again, it’s a huge waste when you have to send a steak back and I’ve never had it cooked to order at the Canterbury Bell.

Had a great evening celebrating an 80th birthday yesterday. The pub sits on the top and has spectacular views. The inside is very traditional and has quality comfortable furniture. Thirteen of us were looked after splendidly by the excellent, friendly staff. They did a brilliant job of delivering the wide variety of meals at the same time The food was really good quality and perfectly cooked. I can't recommend this place more highly - not a single complaint from anyone so well done Digby

Came here today with the family. Arrived about midday on a Saturday, Was still plenty of parking in the big car park. Booked a table so obviously had no problems getting a table. We went into the play area first so our toddler could play before we were seated. I was surprised how big it was. Very good play area, just wish there was a place we could of put the pushchair so that it was out of the way. When we eventually sat down for lunch it was really busy, but wasn't overly loud. Service was pretty slow, but as I said before it was really busy so it was understandable. Our meal came out and it was really nice, the chicken Cajun burger I had was honestly the best burger I've ever had! Everyone else enjoyed their meals too. We did have to wait a while for it. Then we ordered a dessert after and that took an extra 30 mins. But we didn't even have to mention it to the staff as they came up to us and apologised and said the coffee's that we've already ordered is on the house and if we wanted another that would also be free! Honestly couldn't really fault them. Amazing service! Even though we live an hour and 10 mins away we're definitely going to go back again in the near future. Another highlight of the place is the views ( see pictures attached) Thank you

Free ample parking is definitely the most important reason we chose to dine here. Surprisingly the food was absolutely divine: fresh ingredients and cooked to the ultimate standard, on top of extremely reasonable price! Not to mention all staff were very welcoming. Now get it why so many positive reviews given its deserted location (or just far away from town center).

Food was good, however for £41 for 2 fish and chips I expected a slightly bigger portion. Waiting time was long but it was Sunday so I understand. Overall a nice place but the toilets were disgusting.

"Please Sir!" is a cozy eatery with a vintage ambiance that serves up substantial hamburgers, alongside milkshakes and fries. While some visitors were disappointed by the hype surrounding the place, others found the food to be decent, particularly enjoying options like the double smash burger and the Limitless with two patties. The black garlic mayo was also recommended as a must-try. Despite mixed reviews on music and temperature of food, many praised the friendly staff and freshly cooked burgers.
Lovely atmosphere with staff who are very welcoming and friendly. The best burger we have ever had! Absolutely delicious burger cooked to perfection and served with the best Cajun fries. Their beef dripping gravy made my northern heart very happy! Will be going back for sure! Thank you!

Me and wife visited here going on high reviews, we both had the Oklahoma burger, my wife had 1 patty and I had a 3 patty burger we had Cajun and skin on fries. We also had the homemade coleslaw and homemade beef dripping gravy and a can of drink each, which came to £45, and they accept cash. The food was amazing, the patties were nice and juicy and the sides were delicious. Grace cooked them to perfection. We will be visiting again.
Kemelo12 — Google review
Delicious burgers and amazing chips, always highly consistent too. Staff are always super friendly. Milkshakes are delicious but VERY filling so go easy on them. You can get a beer from the pub next door to have with your burger too. Definitely more of a takeaway than an eat-in place, the shop can be very cold in winter. But just wear a jacket, it’s worth it for the burgers any day!
Neil D — Google review
I'd firstly like to mention the man serving at Broadstairs today (30th Aug, approx 4pm). The first thing out of my mouth after leaving the building was 'have you ever had better customer service?' my partner agreed - he seemed so genuine and attentive without being too 'customer service-y'... If you know what I mean! We ordered two double patty burgers (can't remember which, but it had American cheese sauce and cut up gherkins in), plain fries, Cajun fries and beef dripping gravy. Everything about it was bang on! We felt bad for leaving so many chips but we were so full up! (the lovely man offered us a takeaway box which we didn't take) 10/10 will definitely return to try out more of the menu.

Burgers were delicious! I really enjoyed it here. Very juicy burgers and friendly staff. Make sure to get 2 patty's, chips were excellent too! Definitely would recommend it if you're in the area. I would recommend the smash over the splash personally.
Godfrey O — Google review
Oh the reviews are all true. Excellent burgers, excellent fries, and excellent service. We got a limitless butter and a hot honey chicken burger, along with Cajun fries and the beef dripping gravy. It was top tier. Their beef smash burgers are AMAZING, and paired with some onion jam and dipped in the gravy, I was transported. I would suggest getting atleast 2 patties and not missing out on their fries. I was lucky to catch Maisie and George when I went. They're friendly, conversational, and make the best burgers in Kent. 10/10 would return for more.
Shigraf H — Google review
Amazing burgers!!!!! I suppose it must be boring for the owners to read so many amazing reviews. So what can I say that's different: - The chips are great - Get the gravy for dipping chips or your burger - A large chips is plenty for two - You can sit in, in this branch, it's not big but probably seats about 18 if you don't mind getting personal UPDATE: Still 5 stars, still amazing burgers, friendly staff and recommend the Oklahoma which is new. Laura and Dave were awesome despite being busy.

The Royal Albion Hotel is a charming seafront hotel located in the quaint seaside town of Broadstairs. The elegant rooms, some with balconies, offer stunning views of Viking Bay. This 21-bedroom property has a rich history and was once a regular haunt for Charles Dickens. The hotel features terrace dining with picturesque views and is situated in the middle of town, making it convenient for exploring the area.
I had a lovely roast dinner today with my family on table 28 and was so impressed with the man who explained the setup to me who took my order and brought drinks to our table and the 2 men who served our food. What fantastic staff you have, polite and very helpful. Roast dinners were fantastic. Thank you for making our day great!
Danny — Google review
I have mixed feelings about The Royal Albion Hotel; initially I was so annoyed to be left waiting to be checked in as there was no front of house to be seen. I and my two teen boys had walked from Margate and were soaking wet from a sudden rainstorm so standing there with our soggy backpacks was no fun I can tell you. A lovely chap, who looked to be doing some work there, was trying to find the receptionists for us, he checked the back office (I wouldn’t mind if they had been there as at least then they’re reachable), the restaurant, he tried to call them (no joy), he asked if the restaurant worker could do it, he phoned them again…a lady finally turned up, all smiles which I wasn’t really in the mood for and then our room was on the top floor, no lift. I have terrible knees and it really was hard-going on them. I found the reception team kinda unfriendly, though the lady working there this morning was nice. I will just list the negatives, I do appreciate it’s an old building - not much counter top space to put things, the shower was too short for my son to fit under, the beds are hard and a triple room is not three beds it’s a single and small double which I had to share with my other son as it was less hard than the single. The tv controller did not work so we had to put the telly on using the telly buttons which brought up subtitles so we just put Smooth Radio on for the extent of our stay, yeah the boys loved that. The fan is super loud. I couldn’t work out how to use the coffee pod thing ( there are Instructions but I couldn’t follow them). The positives - location is great, we didn’t have a sea view but was glad about that as we got to see a flock of bright green parakeets on the opposite buildings each morning. Access to beach no problem. A lovely variety of toiletries in the bathroom with ample towels and a good assortment of beverages at the tea station. There is a bag drop off which is appreciated and which we made use of. The catering staff are fab; particularly the chap who hosted, he had put a reserved placard on our table this morning so we could sit in the same place as the day before and remembered what drinks we’d had. He and the team there are superb, the breakfast menu was excellent and the food very good, a nice selection of continental too. Also wi-fi is very good, no issues. We did enjoy our stay despite the ups and downs and, if ever in Broadstairs again, would stay again.
T C — Google review
This was a surprisingly great experience. Our family sized room was large. We had a coffee machine and pads inside the room. The breakfast is excellent - you can choose your main dish from a menu. A small buffet is available as well. Location is excellent. Wonderful walking options and beautiful beaches nearby. Highly recommend!
Anna — Google review
Location, location, location. On a sunny day you want to be on the Royal Albion’s terrace, having a cold beer overlooking the sea. It’s got a fairly generic though not unpleasant modern pub look and the beer selection could be more exciting but it’s the view that makes this a winner. Apparently Charles Dickens used to live here, I’m sure in summer it was indeed the best of times.
Richard W — Google review
Review of terrace restaurant not the hotel. Overlooking the child friendly sandy beach on the raised promenade Good staff, easy to order pub style food. Generous portions ceasar salad certainly big enough for two to share and both be happy. Good local beers available Good lunch h reasonably priced

We stayed for one night and I wasn’t sure what to expect based on previous reviews. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was lovely and went out of their way to help make our experience a delight. Breakfast was amazing - one of the best I’ve had in a hotel recently - and dinner was also good. Our room was quite hot but they’d done their best to open windows and provided two fans. It was a heatwave so I can’t imagine it’s always like that. Unfortunately my daughter left her stuffed toy in the room when we left and when we went back later to enquire it was nowhere to be found. We returned home to find someone had taken the care to post it to us. She was delighted and its small touches like that which really show the staff care.
Francesca W — Google review
Very average hotel, geared to trying to tempt passerbys in to eat and drink average food. Breakfast terrible, cheap ingredients, cooked and presented badly. Waiting staff were lovely, bar staff appeared bored. Location is spot on and a sea view saves this from a worse review. Will not return.

I used to come here a lot as a kid as it was my favourite cuisine and I brought my boyfriend since I’ve moved away and it was very nice to come back. The pasta was very very nice and so was the garlic bread. His pizza was very flavoursome and delicious. The sides were okay just very small portion sizes but apart from that it was very good a bit pricey but also kind of worth the money I would recommend.
Kasey D — Google review
The waitress was OK and quite friendly but the food service was very slow, we waited at least 30 minutes when there was only a total of 7 customers in the whole restaurant. The food was OK but certainly not worth the price. The price of a cup of tea is extortionate but similar price to others in the area. I can't understand how a teabag a couple of mouthfuls of water and a tiny bit of milk can warrant £2.85 massive profit but as I say its no different to other places. In all I thought the food was OK but certainly not worth the price, the service was OK but food was slow. No atmosphere in any way shape or form and unfortunately nothing special at all. Nothing to make me want to return. Overall experience was nothing special.
Stephen M — Google review
Food was poor and didn’t get our drinks for 25 minutes. Staff not bothered and couldn’t seem to grab any one’s attention . Mac and cheese not mixed properly and powdery. Calamari had no calamari it was just batter and it was cold. Salad also had no meat I’m guessing there was an extra charge for that too. Meal was very expensive and of very poor cheap quality. Would never usually visit here often but my son wanted to for birthday. It’s a maximum profit chain and poor quality for the customer. We have spent less in much nicer places where the food is perfect each and every time and of great quality/ value for money. The place was pretty much empty and now I know why! Never again will we come back here.

We were done shopping but had to wait for my daughter. The intention was to grab a drink. It ended up waiting a bit longer. They have a bar to the right of the entrance with beer on tap and wine. We ordered calamari and meatball appetizers. Service could have been a smidge faster. We had to flag the waitress just to get a menu and our drink. Overall, pretty good if you are in the area.

Sardinia, an Italian restaurant located in Broadstairs, offers a delightful dining experience with its charming ambiance and amiable staff. The bruschetta appetizer is exceptional, bursting with flavors that make it one of the finest I have ever tasted. The portion size is generous, making it ideal for sharing. Their pappardelle pasta boasts a perfect al dente consistency and is covered in a luscious creamy sauce. Additionally, their rustica pizza is also delectable.
Hands down the best pizzeria in the UK! The garlic bread with cheese was amazing. Pizzas were traditionally made in true Italian fashion. Great atmosphere and the bathrooms were very clean. The rib eye steak was perfectly prepared. We had a great lunch there and would definitely go back!

Unfortunately, this visit was a far cry from my previous experience, which had been excellent. The service felt rushed, making it difficult to fully enjoy dinner. The biggest disappointment was my lasagne as it arrived looking like a third of it was missing, which was not what I expected. Had this been my first visit, I likely wouldn’t return. However, given my past positive experience, I might give it another chance in the future.

We've been to this restaurant before, so as usual the food was great, fresh, and was brought out fairly promptly (was a fairly quiet period, the restaurant was about 1/4 to 1/3 full). Bella Italia - Broadstairs is a laid-back eatery that offers a variety of Italian pasta, pizza, and grill dishes. It has a special menu for children as well. The restaurant received warm greetings from a friendly staff member upon arrival and throughout the evening, who also served as the waiter. This knowledgeable individual recommended a delightful cocktail selection and suggested the vegan option of bolognese, which was thoroughly enjoyed. The attentive service continued throughout the meal, making it highly recommended to others.
Waaah I love the food very delicious...I would strongly recommend you to taste their food. Nice and friendly staff too. The view is spectacular especially at night. It's location is wonderful with Cinema opposite if you wanna go to see a movie before or after your meal. I love their sweetie potatoes and stake lets say everything including Mojito 😋❤❤

Well, I was looking forward to visiting this place before the cinema. We were greeted by friendly staff quickly and shown to our table. Our first choice menu option was not available, i great problem. However it went down hill a bit after ordering. We waited about 20 mins for a starter that never arrived, the waitress came and asked if we had had the starter, we replied no. It arrived maybe 5 mins later. As you will see from my photos, they show my dish and how presented on the menu!! After all a picture paints a thousand words. The starter was not in the best of health on arrival which was a shame as looked pretty good. Same with the main. We also ordered a caramelised onion flat bread which didn’t seem as though was fully cooked! Alas my photo never came out. Anywho I had a pint of Liza beer that tasted great would recommend that more some than the Becks. Place was clean and well presented and were they washrooms. Food not overly impressive Good drinks and selection too Staff friendly Would I go again No unless they up their game.

1) Had the set menu which was 2 courses for less than £15 or 3 courses for less than £18, thought the pricing of this was excellent and despite being set choices there was enough. I had the dough balls to start which were tasty, followed by carbonara for main (I felt the pancetta was a bit too greasy for my liking I like it crispy) and brownie for dessert which was lovely! 2) Stopped for a quick pizza had the picante which was very tasty, perfect if you like a bit of heat.

The inishal service was good but when asked for an extra plate by a different server I was faced with passive aggressive undertones and then asked who I was booked with as some kind of interaction to prove I was eating at the restaurant, I just walked back to my party and after I sat down, we tried to understand why we were refused plates. another party member asked her and wasn't met with any of the aggression given to me. When the request was awnsed and plates brought to the table but the time for there use had already passed, So if your non binary trans or just Don't fit the boomers concepts of normalism I don't suggest coming here, discriminations Is the only reason I can think of fore the ludicrously of the interactions with just that one staff member. I wish I didn't spend so much there looking back at the service. Drinks came quickly But after we ordered food, we waited an hour for ower mains The expresso martini wasn't the best, and the Marco polo wasn't heated evenly it was teped in some places and then piping in others, but a luke warm all round. The cookie dough was over heated and wasn't dough anymore it was a hard biscuit bowl with ice-cream inside, they still served it to me with ice-cream too after I told them I was lactose intolerant 😅

Professional friendly staff, food was slow out of the kitchen and cold when it arrived. Side dish arrived when we had almost finished our mains. This was my first trip to Bella Italia and I'm not sure I'll return anytime soon.

Outstanding food and service from the lovely staff they have here. Can't expect much less from Bella Italia as a whole. If you sit on the far side by the window you get some nice views, especially in the summer. Lots of variety, good prices and they do a really lovely breakfast as well. Usually very good and would give 5 stars however one time we visited and got the wrong food, we explained this to our server who said she'd go and check with the chef and get back to us but never did- after a 10 minute wait we headed over to pay and were put off for a few months.

Nice views over to Liverpool. Food was very nice and arrived in a timely manner. Highly recommend the Marco polo pizza, this used to be a special, glad it has now been added to the regular menu.

Great food, friendly and polite staff. So attentive to our needs. Food was fresh and hot , it was so nice, relaxed environment and high chair for our baby who loved all the attention. Cookie dough desert was so nice too.

Seggari's is a steakhouse that received positive feedback for its lovely and accommodating staff. The starters and main courses were served promptly and were delicious. Although one customer mentioned that their medium rare steak was more on the medium well side, they still enjoyed it because of its quality. The filet steak was described as incredible and reasonably priced. The staff, particularly a friendly Scottish lady, received praise for being helpful and friendly.
Ordered two steaks, a fillet for my partner and ribeye for myself - both were cooked perfectly medium rare and lovely cuts of beef from the local butchers. Tried both peppercorn and garlic butter sauces which were very good. Chips were homemade, large-cut style and tasted fantastic, could have been slightly crispier but still great. Overall great and friendly service, atmosphere and food. Would recommend if looking for a slightly more expensive but more enjoyable dinner.

Elene and Stassy (pardon my spelling) were especially lovely and very accommodating, starters and mains came out promptly and were delicious! I asked for my steak medium rare and although it did come out more medium well, it was too good to turn away! Had a really pleasant experience and will be back again!
Eli T — Google review
We had steak dinner here and the food was cooked well, the steak cooked perfectly for me (medium rare) and I was happy with the staff service and made to feel welcome and enjoy the dinner. Unfortunately the restaurant could use a spruce up. The seats were sticky to sit on and uncomfortable. There were flies in the air and small spiders crawling along the walls behind where we sat. It's location is on the highsteet a short walk from the beach. Other patrons were quite loud and gave the impression it becomes quite an energetic restaurant later at night or weekends perhaps. The steak dinner was well priced and quite delicious with a nice cheese sauce. The prices for some other meals on the menu seem a little odd.
Alex N — Google review
Had a family meal here and between us we all had ribs, steak, burgers and starters. The starters were great and we really enjoyed the chicken bits. The prices are very reasonable and I expected to pay more than I did when the bill arrived. The mains were cooked and presented really well, The think cut chips were the best I have had in a restaurant. All the meats were cooked just right and the portions were all generous. The food was full of flavour and you could taste every bite. The customer service was amazing and the staff have the right balance of professional and friendly. You feel welcome and they don't hover at your table so long that you feel uncomfortable. We all really enjoyed our visit and we will be back next time we are in the area. Thank you.

Amazing food, atmosphere and staff. Best steak I've ever tasted. Quality produce. We will be regulars now. Worth every penny. Its very reasonable I would say inexpensive if I'm honest

Yummy burgers and the children's fish fingers was a great portion. Lovely service and the food was fresh and quick. Reasonably priced. We would go again.

Very puzzled by the earlier review from the people who were in the restaurant at the same time as us - the comment on the waitress (who actually rocked the baby so the lady could eat her meal) was wierd to say the least as she was friendly helpful and efficient - we had a fillet and a sirloin and took some home with us! We found both meals delicious and absolutely loved the sauces! It was my husbands birthday treat and we both left full and happy- going to go back for my birthday next week! 😀

Went to Thai village for my birthday last night and had an amazing experience. The food was delicious and a really good price. They decorated my table with balloons and a big banner and all of the staff came out with a cake to dance and sing happy birthday. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I was surprised as I was sceptical after reading lots of bad reviews previously, but I think they must have really taken things on board or changed staff because it was such a great time! Thanks team 🥰

I've always enjoyed the food as takeaway, but I ate in the other day. I was seated promptly, but then tables of 4 and 5 who were sat after me had their order taken before mine (I was one person). Between finishing my meal, I waited a short while, but after desert I was left waiting for nearly 15 mins before a other waitress came and spoke to me. I also smiled at an older waitress who asked the table behind me how everything was, but then seemed almost offended when I smiled at her and she never said a word. I was potentially the only table not checked up on and did not feel too welcome there. It was early evening and not many tables were in, not even half the place was sat when I was in. The food was good, but service was slow and I did not feel too comfortable with them

We had a lovely family meal here and couldn’t be happier with the experience! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming—just right for spending quality time together. The highlight for us was the papaya salad (extra spicy version). We’ve been searching high and low for a truly authentic one, and this place delivered. Fresh, crisp, and packed with bold flavors and serious heat—exactly what we’d been craving. It’s clear they know how to get it right. Great service, warm vibes, and dishes made with care. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something flavorful and family-friendly.

I moved to the UK last year, and one of the things I’ve really missed is the warm service and homely way food is served back home in India. Visiting Thai Village in Broadstairs honestly made me feel so good – not just in taste but in my heart too. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented, but what really stood out was the service. In many places in the UK, you don’t get this kind of welcoming atmosphere. Here, it felt special. A big thank you to Nam, who looked after us so kindly. The way she treated us felt like she already knew us, and it instantly reminded me of the hospitality I grew up with. She truly made me feel at home, and that’s something very rare to find. If you’re in Broadstairs and want not only great Thai food but also service that makes you feel valued and comfortable, I highly recommend Thai Village. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!

Ordered a delivery of papaya salad and pork larb and was really looking forward it after reading the reviews but I was rather disappointed. Papaya salad came like papaya soup, and larb was tasteless.

The Thai Village Restaurant is a hidden gem! The food was exceptional, with every dish having its unique blend of flavors. The sweet corn fritters, Chicken Satay, and prawn dumplings were a hit, and the taste was simply amazing. Although the portion size for the starters was a little small, it didn't take away from the overall dining experience. We also tried their special fried rice, which was a perfect complement to other dishes. The service was also top-notch and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to visit again soon!

Wow. Lovely proper Italian tucked nicely just out of the centre of town. Food was excellent, love they have a vegan selection- not huge but delicious choices. The service/ team was amazing, like visiting family really impressed. We came Friday, loved it so much rebooked for Sunday. Great place 👌

I kept driving past this restaurant and telling my partner ‘next time we should go’ - for some reason, 9 months passed since we moved to Kent and we seemed to have settled for a better known italian restaurant in the area that I won’t name. Finally we got around eating at The Little Sicilian and the whole experience felt absolutely lovely and pretty special, due to the beautiful setting and a table at the back (some sort of ‘booth’ made of wood) which made our stay feel intimate and cosy, perfect for a date with your partner. The food was very very good, staff were incredibly helpful and were always around to help and assist. My dessert was amazing, I always order Panna Cotta and never really had one that was this amazing here in the UK. We got complimentary limoncello at the end, which made us feel well looked after and appreciated. Wine was also great: not every place offers carafes for those who drink just a bit more than a glass, but not enough to buy a full bottle. I look forward to going back and trying the fish and the meat also. All in all, a very nice experience, great atmosphere, great staff, and really good authentic italian food

The Yarrow Hotel is a charming and comfortable accommodation located in the East Kent College campus. The hotel features simple yet cosy rooms, a restaurant/bar, and even a hair & beauty salon. Managed by experienced professionals, the hotel also provides opportunities for apprentices and trainees from hospitality courses to gain hands-on experience. Situated in the picturesque town of Broadstairs, guests can enjoy free WiFi, a restaurant, bar, and spa area with Jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna.
We wanted a short stay in Broadstairs near the beach that was quiet and found "The Yarrow". Originally I was looking for something along the seafront but as I'd left it late there wasn't much available and The Yarrow looked like a nice place and was only about a 15 minute walk to the town. On arrival there was quite a few parking spaces and a couple were free so we didn't have trouble parking. Receptionist who greeted us was lovely and made us feel welcome. Our room didn't have a fridge so you have to request fresh milk from reception for tea/coffee which wasn't an issue. We had a double deluxe room which was just under £200 for the night and found it suitably adequate. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable, the bathroom was nice and clean with a small bath/shower, the aircon was most welcome in the room and the room was spacious with a high ceiling. Breakfast the next morning was from 8am-10am and was a breakfast buffet so you go and get what you like and you can choose from fried breakfast (bacon, hash browns, beans, sausage, mushroom etc, or continental with cereal boxes, muffins, fruit, granola pots and drinks with a hot drinks machine. The breakfast was spot on so no complaints from us. We like Broadstairs and The Yarrow was a good hotel choice for us so we would recommend it.

We had a fantastic stay for one night in Broadstairs. The location was excellent, close to the sea but quiet and tucked away. The staff were friendly and attentive, the room was clean and comfortable and had all the facilities required. The Internet was very fast and there were no issues connecting. The breakfast was plentiful and we'll cooked, a mixture of buffet and cooked to order items.

The Yarrow is a beautiful hotel located just a short walk from Broadstairs town centre and the seafront. Although we only stayed for one night it left a lasting impression and we would certainly stay here again. Our room was a large suite, the size of a 1 bedroom apartment. Clean and well maintained. The bathroom had a roll top bath tub which we both enjoyed and the bed was king-sized and super comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very nice, especially the sausages. Highly recommend staying here if you visit Broadstairs!
Warren W — Google review
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were excellent. The breakfast was very good quality and a large selection covering most people's needs. Lift only to the first floor. Room was clean and tidy tea, cofee and soap changed daily. Only a ten minute walk to beach and town all down hill yes that means it's all up hill after a great day out. I would be more than happy to stay again.

We visited for a family party, My partner and I had a junior suite, the price was around £250, the suite was fairly large but there was some flaws and issues with cleanliness. I will admit I did not complain about this but as we were staying the one night didn't fancy the room hopping. There was dust (visible cobwebs caked in dust) on most of the light fittings. There was no fridges in any of the rooms meaning you had to phone down reception for fresh milk, it also meant your complimentary water was always tepid if not warm. My sister had a worse experience as there was stains on the carpets, again visible dustwebs on light fittings and the air cons units. The TVs are heavily outdated with no smart features what so ever. The layout of the suite seemed odd two TVs for an assumed separation of the bedroom and the sitting area however the door had been removed. Also the small sofa was too small for two small children to share let alone adults. When she raised this with reception, a gentleman who came around saying it seemed slightly warm in there and that she had it on the wrong setting. Instead of cool she should have had it on fan.....then went through the added time wasting of explaining the room was warm because she had the smallest window open and that it null and voids Aircon....not an untrue statement but when the room felt like a beach in Brazil an unwelcome one. He went downstairs came back said the Aircon was working fine then came back 5 minutes later and admitted without apology that the system was showing 18C upon rebooting the system it was closer to 28C..... The bar is also extortionate, two red bulls cost around £9 I appreciate this is a boutique hotel aimed at the higher paying guests...... The breakfast was good but no different to what you would get into a premier inn. However their accommodation and service should match....sadly this did not

We had our wedding meal and an overnight stay here earlier this week. The food was exceptional and the staff were absolutely incredible. From the waiting staff to the receptionist all really lovely. Nestled in the charming seaside town of Broadstairs, "Star of the Sea" is a must-visit for anyone craving an authentic fish and chips experience. This delightful eatery has earned its reputation as a local favorite, thanks to its freshly prepared dishes that showcase perfectly battered haddock and cod. The generous portions are ideal for sharing, making it perfect for those beachside picnics or cozy meals after a day exploring the intimate streets of this breezy destination.
Amazing fish and chips; all cooked to order; award winning chips were plentiful and tasty; real friendly service from the guys who recommended the saithe which was not only tasty but also only £5 with chips…unheard of value for money. Shall be going every night at this rate!

Came to Broadstairs for some training and popped into Star of the Sea! Lovely fish and chip shop just before you walk down to the beach. I was met by Jodie, I think and she was patient with me as I made my meal choice. Chips were hot and crispy and the fish was super fluffy in the middle with the most amazing batter. If you’re looking somewhere to eat when you’re in broadstairs give them a try you won’t leave disappointed.

The price of traditional fish and chips has salty risen over the last couple of years, so it's more of an occasional than a regular treat for us. That said, when it's time for fish and chips, Star of the Sea serves up delicious, freshly battered cod (and other fish), and a generous-sized portion of tasty, crisp chips. Last week, we had a small cod in a bap, medium cod, and regular chips (plenty for two), for £19. There's a good selection on the menu if you don't just want fish, including mushy peas :)

Came to Broadstairs for the day which is a rarity. We wanted fish and chips for lunch. Food here was only okay - we've definitely had better fish and chips in Thanet. This was very greasy and you don't get a lot for the price. We get more for less money at Newington fish bar to feed a family of 5. The staff were absolutely miserable - I know they're on minimum wage but in a customer facing role, customer service and people skills are key! I probably wouldn't have been leaving quite as negative a review if the staff hadn't been so miserable and actually smiled and gave a friendly welcome.

The best this year's toffee pudding, such a nice location for the people who love the sea like me. I met the sunset with decent toffee pudding with caramel sauce, biscoff crumbs and ice cream, yum. What a wonderful transformation. I can remember visiting this place years ago and eating fish and chips purchased from this black timber clad building. What a stunning restaurant and bar has replaced the old. Welcoming decor and staff. It's such a comfortable bar to relax and spark conversations in with picture windows looking out to sea. I would imagine the ideal spot all year through the seasons. Comfortable expensive furnishings that are even extended to the bathrooms. An area other owners often fail to include. My visit was only a coffee break, but I plan to book a table the next time im in the area.

We visited last early April and dined here. We sat outside overlooking the waters. Food was so so. Osyters were fresh though but the shrimp in the pasta was hard and seems overcooked. The taste is otherwise good. It was also hard to call the servers as we were outside and servers seemed very busy inside. Might not come back to this place. I would give the ambiance outside a thumbs up as it was relaxing (and not too sunny). Inside though was a bit crammed (limited space) so good thing we were seated outside.

Siam Kitchen is a delightful spot in Kent that promises an authentic taste of Thailand. This charming eatery, though easy to overlook, has garnered a loyal following thanks to its mouthwatering dishes and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you choose to dine in or take out, the experience is sure to impress. The restaurant's ambiance sets the perfect backdrop for enjoying flavorful starters like Chicken Satay and Dim Sum, followed by classic mains such as red curry with jasmine rice and Pad Thai.
Wow, this is definitely one of the best Thai food in Thanet. I can tell you that this is NOT 100%Thai, I feel they are more Indian Thai, but the food is delicious. Lamb shank curry is fantastic. Every other dishes were so delicious, and the service was excellent. We will go again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

hidden gem alert! stumbled across siam kitchen by accident while otw to a different dinner spot - caught my attention when i walked by, then took a sharp u-turn spontaneously and so glad i did! from the decor to music to service, everything was perfect. i felt like i was instantaneously transported to thailand! complimentary prawn crackers were so fire!!! i ordered pineapple fried rice with prawns and mango sticky rice, of which both were perfectionnnnnn. prawns were fresh, fried rice was fragrant and the crunchy cashew and juicy pineapples really sealed it for me. mango sticky rice was served piping hot, the chewy rice paired with the juicy mango pieces and crunchy sesame seed MAMA MIA!!!!! and not forgetting how value for money everything was!!! £18 for a main, drink and dessert AND 10/10 quality???? i would actually travel here all the way from london just for all of the above. highly recommended!!!

Stumbled upon this little family run restaurant after a day at the beach. Was so impressed when we saw the extensive menu and the extremely generous pricing. The lamb massaman was the highlight of my meal. Meat fell off the bone, was so tender and the curry sauce was bursting with flavours. Pad Thai was also delicious with a nice smokiness to it. Host was very friendly too. Hope to come back in the future!

We went for our 10th Anniversary dinner here. The restaurant is a typical Thai restaurant with nice ambience. We reserved table upfront on a Thursday evening, but the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Starters we had Chicken Satay skewers and Dim sum chicken and prawn, was nice and tasty. For mains we red curry with jasmine rice and pad thai chicken. The only reason why one star is less for food is the chicken drumstick and breast in curry was with skin. I never seen chicken with skin in Thai restaurant. Otherwise overall a yum meal. Server was polite. Prices are reasonable.

Brilliant Thai restaurant. We had a good quality meal here, which is becoming more and more rare. The lady who served us yesterday was lovely. The service was quick and the food was absolutely delicious. Not to mention everything was reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

Stumbled across this place after being turned away from multiple other restaurants for not pre booking. The host was very welcoming and had no issue sorting us out a table. This place is clearly family run and you could tell by the food. Honestly was the best Thai food I have ever eaten. Everything tasted incredibly authentic and hand made/incredibly fresh. The highlight was the duck and the coconut rice. Also is very reasonably priced.

Nando's Thanet is a vibrant Afro-Portuguese eatery that specializes in flame-grilled peri-peri chicken, infused with the unique heat of African bird’s-eye chili. Diners rave about the fresh and flavorful dishes, particularly the juicy PERi-PERi chicken that keeps them coming back for more. The sides, including spicy rice, corn on the cob, and Portuguese rolls, are also crowd favorites.
We came to eat as a family for dinner, had a great time, well-looked after atmosphere, and the staff were lovely especially Lily had been beyond and above. She looked after us well ever since we entered and left the restaurant. I definitely reccomend to visit this lace again

The food was very disappointing today cold chips, they changed it but did not put any peri peri salt just dump it in front of us. The chicken had no taste the first time I have not liked any of they food, the cold slaw was not creamy very off it tasted very sour. All in all very unhappy.

I come here with my best friend all the time, and it’s always amazing. Our last visit has been the best so far, our waiter, Bobo was absolutely amazing. Such a kind man, and did his best to make sure everything was great for us. Thank you very much, Bobo!!

Had an amazing experience at Nando’s! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The PERi-PERi chicken was juicy with just the right amount of spice—absolutely addictive. I also loved the sides; the spicy rice, corn on the cob and Portuguese roll were personal favorites. My kids loved the bottomless soft swirl The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. Service was quick, and the atmosphere was relaxed and vibrant, making it a great spot for both casual dining and catching up with friends. Highly recommend if you’re looking for tasty food with a bit of a kick. Nando’s never disappoints!

If you're on the hunt for an authentic Thai dining experience, look no further than Thai Four Two. This charming eatery is beloved by locals for its warm hospitality and mouthwatering dishes that truly capture the essence of Thailand. The seafood green curry, featuring exquisite squid, stands out as a must-try alongside their renowned Pad Thai. With a delightful array of options catering to both vegetarians and meat lovers alike, every palate is sure to be satisfied.
The most delicious, authentic Thai food. The staff are so warm and welcoming. The restaurant is beautiful inside. I’ve never had a bad experience and we have been many times! I cannot recommend this lovely restaurant enough :)

First of all i booked a tableand was seated promptly. It went down hill from there . 20mins to get our drinks order and no prawn cracker to boot. The starter came which were fat fried. Mains were greasy and tastless and were not once asked how our meal was. I won't be back. The food is of a poor standard and I am sure there are better Thai restaurants in Beoadstairs

Since I no longer live in Broadstairs I was glad to return for a visit. Still the BEST Pad Thai I've ever had. A lovely family run restaurant many locals return to again and again.

We had a very tasty two dishes. Sizzling sea food dish and a hot red curry with duck. As side dishes we had jasmine rice and coconut rice which was a sweet dish. They made the red curry dish very hot as requested. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Kumudu S — Google review
This is a ten out of ten sort of place, the food is fabulous the coconut rice is next level with plenty of options and variety for vegetarian people, and meat eaters. The prices are very reasonable for broadstairs. The hosts are super friendly and always are pretty on the ball with serving be it food or water. I recommend this to anyone if you like thai food and are going to broadstairs. You can order a takeaway or eat in both are lovely.
Banana B — Google review
This is the first time I've ever had bad Thai food, and I have eaten a LOT of Thai food all over the world, including during the time that I lived there. Beige Pad Thai with huge chunks of chicken and no vegetables. Sour Lemongrass Salad with cubes of carrot and peas (looked more like a British Sunday roast than a Thai dish), Laab with big chunks of meat instead of finely minced meat and herbs. It was really not good. I can cook Thai food better than this. Left feeling disappointed and hungry. It's been a long time since I've had such a bad meal experience. Surprising really as there are many positive reviews online. I guess they have modified their menu over the years to suit the local palate. In summary, if you want to eat legit Thai food, go somewhere else.

Creta Restaurant is a hidden gem located at the bottom of Broadstairs, offering fantastic Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. The family-run business serves excellent food in a friendly and pleasant environment. The menu features a wide range of unique dishes with great flavors, such as the spicy sausage mix called spetsofai. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with a fully stocked bar and clean highchairs available for families.
I would give this amazing restaurant a 10 star review but that's not possible, The food Is The best food I have ever tried in any restaurant and the food is perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked and presented and it is a very clean restaurant and even has outside seating with a water bowl for your pets , the service was AMAZING and the staff were so helpful and didn't judge that I had only tried a microwave gyros wrap ... I think greek food is my new favourite thing and if I lived here I would be here every day 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️. Thank you to the staff who served me and my daughter. 👌👌👌👌
Sarah G — Google review
Best Gyros that I've ever tried. Pork and chicken just 10/10. Super friendly staff and they are expanding the dining area. Highly recommended
Maxi G — Google review
The food was good, even if it is a little more expensive in my opinion, it is worth it because they are very large. The only thing that could be improved would be the lack of choice, for example, for my pasta I had to choose between pasta and risotto but I didn't have the opportunity to choose. For my friend, the same thing. He ordered the pork pita gyro main, which he wanted in a wrap, but he received it unwrapped. So if it is your first time ordering from this restaurant, it would be good to specify exactly what you want.

We had the octopus with artichoke and the moussaka 💚Both were delicious and the portions were really generous! We had also ordered mezze, but I think the girl who took our order might have forgotten or misunderstood, as it never arrived. 🤷‍♀️ Luckily, the mains were more than enough, so it actually worked out well for us. Overall, tasty food and a satisfying experience!

First time at Creta and will definitely be returning. The food was delicious and the portions very generous. I had the Lamb Kleftico, it was falling off the bone and tasted as good as I've had in Greece. The Baklava for dessert was perfect. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The only thing I would say is that I would have preferred the Greek music to have been a little louder as couldn't really hear it.

Vinny’s Steakhouse, formerly known as The Smokehouse Broadstairs, is a delightful dining destination that promises an unforgettable culinary experience. Guests rave about the perfectly cooked steaks and delectable sides that complement each dish beautifully. The combo starter is a hit for sharing among friends and family, making it ideal for gatherings. Owner Vince goes above and beyond to ensure everyone feels welcome; he even crafts special desserts to celebrate occasions like birthdays.
I decided to book a table in advance, just to be safe, especially after reading the reviews! Gotta say that all the food was absolutely delicious but for me, from the sharing platter, the corn on the cob, that looked like ribs, were top notch. The texture and rub was extremely moreish and something completely new. We had Ribeye, Pulled Pork Burger and Grilled Fillet of Salmon with King Prawns for mains. The owner Vince was extremely polite, informative and enthusiastic for his food and if we're in the area again, we'll definitely be back for more!

Amazing experience! Came here for dinner and had the best steak I've had in a very long time, was cooked perfectly and the sides and sauces are just perfect!! The service was the best we've experienced, Vince the owner made us feel so welcome, he even made a special dessert for my daughters to ensure we had a perfect end to our meal. I will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends and will be returning very soon!!

Myself, my partner and my daughter had the most amazing meal here Friday. The fillet steak was SOO good! The prawns I had were the best I’ve had in a long time. We had a lovely chat with Vincent the owner he couldn’t have done more for us! Even the meats and fish are locally sourced from the best best butchers and fishmongers, you could tell too. Couldn’t recommend this place enough! Reasonably priced so it makes it family friendly, Will definitely be coming back.

What a fantastic place. It was a quiet Wednesday evening but the warm welcome and great atmosphere was topped only by our delicious food. We took advantage of a special Wednesday offer and enjoy the juiciest, tastiest burgers, and a side of halloumi which i wish I’d had all to myself. Yum yum. We’ll definitely be back for more.
Kent S — Google review
The Smokehouse in Broadstairs. This little restaurant has been taken over by Vince, an enthusiastic and passionate owner. He’s welcoming and can’t do enough. I called several weeks ago to book a table for my family and in particular my daughter whose birthday it was. He asked how I has heard about them, and I explained that about 3 years ago we went there, again for my daughters birthday, where we had a super time, great food and nice staff. So when he told me he had just taken it over, and hoped we would have just as good a time as the previous occasion, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. We arrived at the designated time, to a warm welcome and shown to our table. Vince came to take the drinks order and offered a plethora of various types of gin along with many types of tonic….who knew there were so many types! The drinks came along with the food menu. We sat for some time perusing the menu, and decided on our dinners. Wendy, our waitress took our orders and we chatted between ourselves for a little while, when the starters arrived. 2 Prawn cocktails, 1 shell on prawns with a delicious chilli sauce and 1 deep fried mozzarella balls with a chilli dip, and grilled halloumi cheese with sweet chilli dip, all plates cleared and 4 happy customers. There was silence as we ‘hmmmed’ and sighed with each mouthful. There was never a long wait between courses, so when the mains arrived we all tucked in. 1 rare ribeye, 1 medium ribeye, 1 pulled pork burger and 1 smokehouse beef burger, along with the sides, which included 3 portions of chunky chips and 1 bacon and herb croquet, out of everything there the side dish that stood out was the onion rings, thin, crispy and the batter was so fine, these are a must!!! Again we all ate up and enjoyed the food. Don’t change the butcher, the ribeye was sooo tender, tasty and beautifully cooked. We weren’t sure wether a pudding was in order, but it was my girls birthday, so we made room on the waist bands!!! 1 profiteroles (yummmeee) 1 sticky toffee pudding with custard, 1 chocolate brownie cake with ice cream and 1 millionaire shortcake with ice cream. Needless to say, after all that, there were 4 full and happy ladies, I asked each of my girls what mark they would offer if asked. With no hesitation it was 4 nines. Just a few tweaks here and there and you’ll get a full house. Considering you have been open for a matter of weeks…bravo👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Thank you Vince and staff, a lovely evening was had by all. Ps, the atmosphere was nice but too much chat from a large table of lads about football, who knew there was 3 hours of it to listen to? ,
Lesley A — Google review
What an amazing find. The food and atmosphere did not disappoint. I chose the chicken skewers with skinny fries and salad, hubby chose the mixed grill. The food was cooked to perfection and the service was second to none. Thank you Vinny for a great experience. We will definitely be back 😋👌 from Kerwyn and Vicky

Little Albion is a charming local pub that truly captures the essence of community spirit. On a recent Sunday afternoon, I was swept away by the lively atmosphere as the Steve Patterson band filled the air with familiar tunes, prompting everyone to dance and enjoy themselves. Although I had hoped to indulge in their renowned Sunday lunch, it was fully booked—definitely a sign of its popularity! Very disappointing . Ordered late Sunday night Fried rice just tastes of bland over cooked boiled rice that had gone to mush with a few boiled peas in it. Beef curry had no flavour at all. More flavour in the packet in my cupboard. My partner is a big guy and very rarely leaves a plate. But even he only had a a couple of mouths. If we were sitting in would have ask for money back. Wish the world worked on trust. Tucked in a corner centre of Broadstairs this inn saved me last night. Alone with no food having worked all day and in a place with no kitchen no food. I ordered a take away and they didn't or they don't take pay over the phone apparently. But as I always order and pay before delivery in all other takeaways I must have thought I paid. So when the food was delivered I took it and was about to close the door when the delivery man said pay, it took me a while to recall that yes I had not given my details over the phone. He didn't have the card reader machine and said its cash and I thought late at night where am I going to get cash? I could see a night on good old sourthen water😥 but lady on the other side of the phone after seeing there's no way I could pay said come and pay tomorrow. So thank you New China Inn enjoyed the food too. I just visited the inn and paid. 🎉🎊

My first time ordering from this place, I can honestly say I feel robbed!!.. Ordered a Thai Red curry and rice for collection. Paid 7.10 which is reasonable, but for what I got. Well the rice was not even basmati, was long grain like boil in a bag, which seemed to be cooked hours before. The curry was horrendous, frozen chicken used I can't believe it, frozen chicken!!!... Wuth chunks if warm tinned pineapple and a chunk of a tomato the sauce was like vomit. My bad luck?.. I don't know... Had one mouthful went in the bin... Total disappointment and waste of my money. Id be embarrassed to even sell that to anyone. Never again!!!!

Please don’t waste your money! I never before had to put an entire takeaway through the food disposal unit. - The quality was appalling. - The prices didn’t match the published menu prices on Google ( they were higher by approximately £2 per item) - I was not given the 10% discount for collecting in person - After my complaint call the person who answered did acknowledge that she has not given the 10% discount and was going to get the manager to call me back. He never called! No apology and no offer to refund the waisted £31. Avoid!

My husband and I have dined at the Peninsula many times over 20 years and can honestly say we have never been disappointed. It is the only restaurant in Thanet where you can have a leisurely drink in the bar where they take your order before your shown to your table, which have linen tablecloths and decorative linen napkins. The food is home cooked and the best authentic Chinese food your find. We have the Cantonese for two set three course menu which includes filter coffee and I enjoy the coconut icecream but there are others to choose from. With the relaxing intimate atmosphere where the tables are well laid out. Grace is first class with the running of the restaurant like clockwork but also makes you feel welcome like you have been invited into her home. This is a dining experience not to be missed but if you prefer eating at home then you have a choice of the best chinese takeway.

Had fish and chips as it was across the road from where we were. Waited 15mins for service. The food arrived and did not look very appealing. Grossly overcooked chips and fish batter. In fact I only ate the fish after removing the batter. I complained to the server, she was indifferent. She took off the service charge. A service charge was not indicated on the menu anywhere. No bill was presented and no receipt offered. We were warned however that the foof was not the best. Advice we ignored, much to our regret. You have been warned, visit at your peril.

Partenopei is a delightful Italian restaurant that truly captures the essence of Naples. Nestled in Broadstairs, it offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for a Saturday night dinner after a warm day. Diners rave about the attentive and knowledgeable staff who enhance the experience with their excellent service. The menu features mouthwatering dishes like bruschetta, Spaghetti Cacio E Pepe, and even unique desserts such as a lemon custard-infused panettone bread pudding.
Wonderful service and beautiful food! Got the truffle pasta special and it was so tasty. Risotto cake for dessert, yum! Great atmosphere and just overall would recommend for a nice Italian dinner out.

Amazing last-minute find with the most delicious ragout and surprise dessert which I could only describe as a panettone-based bread and butter pudding but with lemon custard??? 🤤 Authentic Italian food and staff who were extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Lovely food, freshly cooked and great service. A bonus for us was it is dog friendly. We will 100% come back again.

I think we were unlucky based on these other reviews. Having rocked up at a nearby tapas restaurant at 3.07pm only to be told that they stopped serving food at 3pm we were then lured into Partenopei by a lady sitting outside who promised the seafood was excellent. It was pretty empty and my pasta fairly bland unfortunately. My good friend who insisted we dine here based on the seafood recommendation said his octopus was ‘bang average’ as well. Given the Naples connection some pizza would have been well received. Lacking magic.

A quiet Gem, first visit to Broadstairs, and looking for a Saturday night early dinner after a very hot day. Service was good, very helpful. I had the bruschetta to start and it was lovely the bread used was beautiful. Main course was the Spaghetti Cacio E Pepe. It was hot a tasted so good, the pepper was very good. A great fine. Thank you And very reasonably prices.

If you're in the mood for some delicious fried chicken, KFC at Westwood Retail Park in Broadstairs is a must-visit! This popular restaurant chain is renowned for its iconic buckets of crispy chicken and mouthwatering combo meals. During my recent visit, I was greeted by friendly staff who provided efficient service even during peak hours. The atmosphere was lively, yet the cleanliness of the space stood out.
I normally have a Tower Box Meal but today I tried the Chicken wrap meal. It was super scrumptious and yummy, so, so tasty indeed! More importantly all of my meal was hot! Not warm or cold but hot. Very impressive. Sadly this KFC is not my local so It’s to far from home, for me. Definitely recommended

The place is actually nice well presented The food was great but I personally has some uncomfortable feeling after I stood waiting to be served by two staff who were behind the counter doing absolutely nothing not even to a knowledge my presence. I stood almost 10 mins being ignored. I some how felt something I have never felt at a woman of colour. Two gentleman walked in and were welcomed with a smile and served. This Made me think maybe was standing in the wrong side of the queue and changed to the other side but came out I was not. My husband and children had to come in to find out whether everything was fine. I explained to my husband of the situation how it felt. As surprising when my husband started asking if we were in a correct queue that’s when some one at the back came to serve us. While standing looking confused few of the employees noticed me from The back hence why one of them came to help. I ordered the food and to my surprise I was even offer a free meal. The employee just said don’t mind anything and he apologised to me. I was shocked didn’t seem to understand myself or the situation happening. I just smiled it off. But all my years and life who would have thought KFC employees would actually make me feel or even sense some kind of racial profiling. None in the millions but yes that night I felt it and it actually happened but life goes on. This made me clearly understand that I was deliberately ignored in the first place, i wasn’t in a wrong side of the queue no!!! To the two employees that acted like so kindly bear in mind the world we live in today is so diverse to act like so in working environments. Total disgrace Place is nice clean but the atmosphere made by the staff needs to be reviewed. Visited on Friday 10/05/24 at around 20:20 on my to London from Margate beach.

Ordered 10 pc bucket through just eat and when opened there was only 9 pc and 8 were drumsticks and for the price I was not happy contacted just eat they got back saying because I gave the code KFC will do nothing about it very disappointed with KFC. Just so you know it wasn't about the money it was about the quality of the food. The pictures are just to prove about the drumsticks and nothing more.

Beware parking charge. This KFC carpark is controlled by Civil Enforcement. I took my children for lunch here and got landed with a £60 parking charge for exceeding an hour. If there is signage about this it is not clearly visible and customers are not made aware of the 60 minute limit by the restaurant or staff.

I recently visited KFC, The service was fast and efficient. The staff at the counter were polite, and my order was ready in less than 10 minutes. The restaurant was clean, though a bit crowded during lunch hours.Everything tasted fresh. The chicken was juicy on the inside with a crunchy, well-seasoned coating.

A Finger-Lickin' Good Experience at KFC Westwood Retail Park! I recently visited the KFC at Westwood Retail Park in Broadstairs and had a truly excellent experience. From the moment I walked in, the service was friendly and efficient, even during a busy period. The staff were clearly working hard, but always with a smile and a helpful attitude. And of course, the food was spot on! My chicken was perfectly cooked – crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, just as it should be. The fries were hot and perfectly salted, and my side order was fresh and delicious. Everything tasted exactly as you'd hope from KFC. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, creating a comfortable environment to enjoy my meal. It's clear that the team here takes pride in their work. For a quick, satisfying, and consistently tasty meal, KFC Broadstairs - Westwood Retail Park is definitely my go-to. Highly recommended!

A Cracking Sunday Treat at Fish Inn👌👌👌 Popped into Fish Inn today with my son, and what a delightful experience it was! The cod was absolutely freshly fried; crisp on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside - just how proper fish should be. The chips were equally impressive: golden, hearty, and perfectly cooked. It honestly made our Sunday feel even sunnier than the already glorious weather. A huge thank you to the team at Fish Inn for a lovely culinary experience. We’ll definitely be back for more!🌞🍀

Super polite staff, a lovely friendly lady served us. Waited around 10 minutes for our food to be cooked(All Freshly Cooked) Luscious, perfectly cooked Haddock and Chips. Not dry or overcooked but really delectable and appetising. We had so many Chips we couldn’t finish them, as we were all full. Inside the premises there’s around five tables if you want to dine inside. Highly recommended. A lovely Chip Shop.

We ordered haddock x 2 and a portion of chips. This was a pre-order, but when we arrived to collect it, waited 20 mins for everyone else to be served before we got ours! What, therefore, is the point of pre-ordering? The chips were nice, but the fish was very, very dry. The batter was thin and hadn't stuck to the fish properly. Very unpleasant to eat. Had previously had fish and chips from here, and it had been very nice, which was why we went back.

What a lovely find for fish and chips and will definitely go there again. We had cod and chips and their chips are to die for. This place is busy so we had to wait. The chap was very helpful. There are not many seats and the table and chairs could do with a clean but its a fish and chip shop so I am not complaining. I would go back any day! Food was so good, I forgot to take pictures.

It's big, wide and quiet if it's not summertime. A good place to spend time alone. But Wi-Fi is not working. All employees are kind. Including Manager, assistant manager are all lovely. Also, coffee that often seen male barista makes is really delicious(super handsome!). There is no cup holder, so it is nice to cover the cup of ice drink with tissue and he has a nice smile. Thus I drank three cups of coffee every Sunday. So I later changed it to an Americano half-shot. Anyway, I'm leaving this neighborhood. Bye

I walked in about 4:30pm this Sunday and honestly, I felt bad, no customer service at all. Cold and a bit rude staff, no “hello”, “thank you”, or “bye” in return, just “what do you want?” Costa should review and provide training to meet the standards.

Amber Palace is a hidden gem that leaves a lasting impression on all who visit. Nestled in Margate, this restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience with its warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu boasts an array of delicious dishes, including perfectly cooked Chicken Kharahi and succulent King Prawn Dhansak, which have been praised as some of the best curries around. Guests rave about the flavorful prawn jalfrezi and Bombay flame, complemented by refreshing cucumber raita.
I had one of the best curries I've ever tasted in my 47 year long curry eating career! I had a King Prawn Dhansak which was awesome. I usually have Chicken Madras, but opted for something a bit different on this occasion. My girlfriend also found her food highly tasty! We decided to eat in and not have a takeaway. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I can't rate this place highly enough! 😋😋😋
Simon S — Google review
Very Disappointing Experience - shockingly sweet and non-authentic dishes plus utterly rude staff to spoil your experience. I visited Amber Palace restaurant today, and unfortunately, it was a deeply disappointing experience. We were excited to try the Paneer Tikka Masala and also ordered Madras chicken curry for my friends but upon tasting it, we were shocked to find both curries overwhelmingly sweet. Despite specifically requesting a spicy version, what we received was a dish (Paneer tikka masala) drenched in a red-colored gravy and full of coconut gravy that was not only sweet but also inedible. The Madras chicken curry was even worse as it was also equally sweet and with coconut gravy - so not at all how this curry is usually prepared. When we brought this to the attention of the restaurant staff, we politely asked for a replacement with any curry that wasn't sweet. However, the manager informed us that this is how they prepare their dishes, leaving us with no options. It was evident that all the curries leaned towards being overly sweet rather than the spicy flavors we were looking for. Concerned about the quality and safety of the food, we decided it was best not to eat anything here to save our health as the food was smelling bad as well. When we requested the bill—without having consumed any food—the manager was rude and insisted we pay the full amount, including a service charge. We questioned the rationale behind charging us for a service we did not receive, which led to an unprofessional argument and further misbehaviour on his part. Feeling unwelcome and frustrated, we ultimately decided to pay the bill and leave without arguing much further. Overall, the combination of subpar food, lack of customer service, and the manager's unprofessional behaviour made for a truly unpleasant dining experience. I cannot recommend this restaurant, and I hope they take these issues seriously. I am so surprised that how council and food safety authorities are allowing such restaurant to run.

Unbelievable service, friendly, warm and welcoming. Came on a stay cation to margate with family for the weekend and this was the last place to leave us with a lasting impression! Chicken kharahi was perfectly cooked, tender and good balance of spice! Cucumbwr raita, prawn jalfrezi, bombay flame were sublime!! Found out we had visited their partnered restaurant in margate which we enjoyed very much, after the waiting staff spoke to us at the end, and felt like this place was a more warm and lively service! The head chef came out and checked food was okay with us and all kitchen staff took the time to come and speak to us when food was finished and it was time to settle the bill! They even gave us a complimentary coke bottle to take for our journey home to London which was very kind!
Akram H — Google review
I recently dined at Amber Palace, and I have to say, it was one of the most disappointing experiences I've ever had. The food quality was shockingly poor; I was expecting a delightful meal but was met with pathetic dishes that were neither flavorful nor authentic. The taste was simply bad, leaving much to be desired. To make matters worse, the staff was incredibly rude. It felt like they couldn't care less about the customers. When I brought up my concerns to the manager, I was met with complete indifference, which only added to my frustration. For a restaurant that claims to offer a unique dining experience, the service and food quality were far from satisfactory. Overall, I left Amber Palace feeling dissatisfied and regretting my choice. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent meal or good service. There are plenty of other restaurants that truly value their customers and deliver on quality. Save your time and money!
Michael — Google review
Had a quite disappointing experience at this restaurant. The staff and manager were quite rude and unprofessional - there was no sense of hospitality at all. The food was another letdown; almost every dish was overly sweet, which is very unusual for authentic Indian cuisine. I tried to give feedback politely, but the staff seemed uninterested. For the prices they charge, I expected much better quality and service. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place unless they make serious improvements in both their food and customer service.
KV W — Google review
I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Amber palace, and I must say, it was one of the most disappointing meals I've had in a long time. The food, which I had high hopes for, turned out to be overly watery and excessively sweet. Dishes that should have been rich and flavourful instead left a bland impression, making it difficult to enjoy the meal. It felt as if the kitchen was trying too hard to mask the lack of genuine taste with excessive sugar and water, resulting in a confusing and unsatisfying dining experience. To make matters worse, the overall cleanliness of the establishment left much to be desired. The tables appeared unkempt, and there was a noticeable lack of attention to basic hygiene standards. The waitstaff, who were supposed to enhance our dining experience, seemed to prioritize their own comfort over the cleanliness of their uniforms. It was unsettling to see waiters with visibly poor hygiene, which only added to the discomfort of the meal. The atmosphere at the restaurant was not welcoming. Instead of feeling like a valued guest, I felt as if I was an inconvenience to the staff. The front-of-house team seemed disinterested and impatient, rushing us through our meal as if they were eager for us to leave. It created a sense of unease, making it difficult to relax and enjoy the dining experience. I expected a warm and inviting atmosphere typical of Indian restaurants, but this was sorely lacking. The manager's demeanor further contributed to the negative experience. Instead of addressing concerns or making the effort to create a pleasant environment for diners, their attitude was quite off-putting. It felt as though they were more interested in collecting payments than fostering a positive dining experience. Such a lack of professionalism is unacceptable, especially in the hospitality industry. Overall, my visit to Amber Palace was disappointing on multiple fronts. From the overly sweet and watery food to the unsatisfactory hygiene standards and the unwelcoming atmosphere, it was an experience I do not wish to repeat. It’s unfortunate, as I had hoped to enjoy a delightful meal, but instead, I left feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. I cannot recommend this restaurant, and I urge potential diners to consider other options if they are seeking a pleasant dining experience.
Thanet R — Google review
Food is below average, service was fine. Atmosphere was dead, literally the only people in there. If they spent abit of time improving the food, people would flock here. It's the only local curry house and feels like they've given up.
Stu G — Google review
I had a very disappointing experience at Amber Palace yesterday. The food was shockingly awful—so much so that we couldn’t even finish our meal. When we raised concerns about the taste and possible food safety issues, the staff responded with rudeness and a complete lack of professionalism. Their behavior was not only unhelpful but outright hostile, which completely ruined our evening. Unfortunately, things got worse. Even though I had only eaten a small portion, I woke up this morning with severe stomach pain. While I can’t be 100% certain the food was the cause, the timing and symptoms are very concerning. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share this experience to warn others.

This place is a little jem, The staff was Attentive, atmosphere was wonderful and we had the privilege of being there whilst a singer was there. We were promptly seated in the garden room which was comfortable, my children said they felt like they were in a vip area. The place is very stylish and we couldn't fault it. The roast porchetta and beef were hands down the best we've had, big portions, plenty of veg and Gravy, great value for money. My husband and son had soup of the day which was carrot and parsnip, this was really nice. Already planning to visit here again in a few weeks. Gorgeous place, wonderful food, staff and atmosphere. We order quite alot from here and enjoy it. Unfortunately this time after ordered a large mixed lamb donner chicken shish this turned up. 2 bits of donner and a few bits of chicken. Not nearly £10 worth of dinner. They said they would add extra meat next order but unfortunately it doesn't look like there will be a next time

This has been our favourite go to kebab shop for 25 years! However tonight it was the worst I've ever had. If we hadn't already driven home to ramsgate I would've taken it back. Tasteless and a chicken shish swimming in oil! Donner meat was barely brown and we'd asked for it to be well done. What an expensive disappointment.

Never again… I’ve got to say this was the worst Kebab that I’ve ever had. The bag the food come in was full of grease which seems to of been leaking from the salad! 🤢. Why is a salad greasy! Ive had 3 from here in the last 2 months and 2 of them were not good. There’s definitely been a change of ownership recently because it was always very good for 10+ years a shame as I will not support this business again.

This is our normal choice for kebabs so it’s such a shame that this has been our experience but it was too bad to overlook. Part of our order included a box of donner meat and when I say it was greasy I am not exaggerating. The bag was completely soaked in oil, the box it was in was so covered in oil you actually couldn’t pick it up without it slipping out of your hands. The meat itself had just a wet sheen to it, I had a few bits and then it was too much. Really disappointing.

Used to get a lot from here, but not been for a while. We had a chicken shish and lamb donner. Both were swimming in oil, I don't know how that is possible for grilled chicken. I asked for the dinner meat to be well cooked, but it looked half raw and didn't taste good. The bread was soaked in grease, ended up throwing more than half away. Very expensive for what you get too. Time to find a new favourite kebab shop!

Shish chicken kebab was good flavors and chicken wasn't dry. I was hoping for pocket pita bread to scoop the yogurt and chicken into, but received pieces of pita. The pita bread was tasty but hoped to make it easier to eat with the pita. The king prawn casserole was ordered by several in our group and it was loved by all. Cocktails were well made and a nice selection of wine and beer on hand. I would try again.

Very good for families and larger groups. Very friendly and kind service and it's for a good atmosphere. Food unfortunately was more than average, shish chicken was mostly undercooked with some burned ends. Starters were too over fried and the prawn casserole was too blant. If they changed a chef this could be a really good spot
