Food was great! We really enjoyed, but service was really pushing, we didn’t finish the dishes and lady already took my husband dish away, always goes so pushing and quick, one dish finished immediately they put another dish on, my beside table the gentleman also told them please take it easy, do not so pushing. I think you must improve this, because we really liked restaurant, it could be so pity if this goes down for your quality, it can only chase your client away.

Very good restaurant with fair prices, excellent food

Amazing pappardelle al ragù di cinghiale but the highlight was the dessert, the decomposed cannolo siciliano was just sublime. On top the personnel is kind and welcoming and the decore set up by the owner’s wife is just impressive. I live in Brussels and was stopping by, as I was in transit from Hamburg, but will definitely be back.

Amazing Stay at Terhills Hotel Had a fantastic experience at Terhills Hotel in Maasmechelen. The staff were warm and attentive, and check-in was smooth. The room was modern, impeccably clean, and cozy — especially loved the powerful shower. Breakfast offered a great variety with fresh, delicious choices and everything was kept well-stocked. The hotel’s location is perfect — right next to Hoge Kempen National Park and just a short walk to Maasmechelen Village, ideal for exploring both nature and shopping. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent, with flavorful dishes and friendly service in a stylish setting. Highly recommend Terhills Hotel — a great mix of comfort, location, and service. Looking forward to coming back!

A really nice hotel. The room was good with air conditioning, a fridge, an iron and ironing board and a nice bathroom with a large shower. There is a free car park for the hotel. There are several shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were nice. There was a rave on one of the nights next to the hotel with boom-boom music all night until the early morning. It sounded like someone hitting the floor with a hammer. I asked for the quietest room but was given one facing the rave.

On arrival, guests are greeted by the beautiful sight of the hotel's imposing portal in a very pretty park. The disused winding towers of the former mining industry provide an impressive contrast. At the reception desk, in the bar and in the restaurant, we encountered friendly, multilingual staff without exception. Our superior room with garden view was quiet and modern, the bathroom very nice and spacious. Towels and bathrobes etc. were really spotless, shower and washbasin freshly scrubbed every day, but various corners could do with a thorough clean and we would have appreciated a few more clothes hangers (there were 4 for 2 people). The heating was not very responsive and the bathroom was always freezing cold. We rate the breakfast as average, but in the evening we were treated to an excellent multi-course meal, which was also beautifully presented. The big plus of this hotel with the charm of a manor house is the ingenious location in beautiful nature with the possibility to visit nearby cities in Belgium and Holland very quickly and at the same time enjoy the wonderful nature. Despite minor criticisms, we will certainly visit the hotel again.

Very nice rooms but there was no airconditioning working in the rooms!they told us that they have only ac in the corridors,the phone at the room was also not working and all the amenity kits were empty!however the breakfast was excellent,we stayed one night for Andre Rieu travel!

We spent there 1 night, and were quite disapponted upon our arrival: room's floor was filthy and the tissue box was empty (important when you arrive with a minor cold :)). Both issues were rectified, however, we later on discovered we had received only 1 set of toiletries, and one of the glasses in the bathroom was dirty, and the other one slightly broken. We have transmitted our remarks to the receptionist the next morning, who only noted them down. So we paid the whole price, without them offering any discount. Breakfast was however spectacular and the building itself and the small park in front is very nice.

What a fantastic place to stay. Architecturally beautiful building and historic. Grounds are great for walking in. Highly recommended staying here. Large selection of quality shopping next door with a large recreational and country park on the other side . Do go, you won't be disappointed.

Giuliano is so good that we visit Maasmechelen for the food and NOT the shopping! The food here is excellent albeit a bit on the expensive side. Highly recommend their Cannelloni and any Pizza they serve!

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a great restaurant tucked away within a shopping outlet. The pasta was cooked to perfection, with generous portions of sauce that were bursting with flavor. The clams were plump and tender, and the shrimp were cooked to just the right texture. The ravioli was a symphony of savory fillings, and everything was perfectly seasoned. It was also thoughtful that the kids pasta was served it a mini mouse plate, making it more appealing to the eyes. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with lovely decorations and friendly staff. who were attentive. We highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking to have an enjoyable dining experience.

Not expected to have such a good quality pizza in the shopping outlet. But Giuliano surprised us with a nice crusty and properly cooked Italian thin pizza. Rest of the food was just good as well as the service.

This Italian restaurant with a long history since 1973 had a wonderful atmosphere: an extremely friendly owner and staff welcomed us with a huge smile. Everything was according to our expectation. The high rating on maps is justified as the food were delicious and the people were kind. Can come across a bit on the pricier side (price to portion ratio) but with limited food options in Maasmechelen Village, that is bound to be. Nonetheless, the food was tasty and the service was pretty fast.

The croque monsieur was a joke. It’s a dry toast with a bit of cheese and ham. No taste at all. The croquette are the worst and the salad came full of mayo and is way too expensive. The beer was good.

Typically belgium dishes served in a brasserie style restaurant. Service is friendly but sometimes disorganised. Maybe related to the fact that they haven't yet a lot of routine since the restaurant opened just recently. Food was ok, portions were a bit small for the price.

If you like steak, I had the fillet pur. I'm going back. Up there with one of the best steaks I've had. Don't bother with the flambé. Really nice food, highly recommended if you are in the area.

New place, didn't go inside, only on the terrace, don't know if it was for the heat wave but the 7 waiters I saw that evening, not one manage to get our order right. Glass of prosecco almost empty, glasses of very expel cocktails (by the way) dirty of the drink itself. Tasty cocktails but not nice to see. Asked 4 times for one juice for my child, charged twice. Mixing the orders. Well, not a very good start.

This is a super nice hotel and an amazing Italien restaurant. In the middle of all this industry you approach this cute windmill where the hotel is located. The rooms are big and clean and the food in the restaurant is delicious. If i wouldn't live 2h far away, I would come here regularly to enjoy the amazing pasta (perfectly al dente and with the freshest ingredients) Hotel manager + team are lovely, helpful and fun. Nice place, food is ok but the service awful. We waited more than 20 minutes before somebody comes to ask us for a drink. They mixed up orders. They have a beautiful potential but unfortunately bad management makes a lots of unhappy customers.

The service is definitely very awful. Only one staff is working for taking orders and for serving the food and the other staff is just in the bar. The staff working as a waiter is the same for the cashier. It took us time to place our orders and the table we sat in is not yet cleaned. And the worst part is that you can’t pay with visa. I paid by cash. The food is overpriced, no distinguished taste, just a plain burger that you can order in a fast food. I hope the service will be better because it is in an Outlet Shop in Maasmechelen where tourists come and visit to spend for shopping.

The staff were definitely not unfriendly but those mentioning extra training are probably right; nobody greeted us upon entry, the service was slow at the beginning and no cutlery was brought. Things improved as we went on, however. The food came relatively quickly and was decent enough, whereas the bill was not astronomical for a place connected to a shopping area. All in all, not the best but neither was it the worst and not a bad option if the restaurants in the Village are full.

Location and terrace is great, service was fine, but food is definitely overpriced. You pay €7,5 for a very simple and very small sandwich. This is just bread, 1 slice of ham, 1 slice of cheese.

If you think you already had bad food you have to know that place is worse then anything you ever had. The tapas are cheep frozen food then the burger is not a burger it is a Frikadelle deep fried and not nice to eat. The service is horrible the staff is untrained and unprofessional when we got the “tapas” the staff threw a bag with two tasteless pieces of bread on the plate. I would say the only good thing was a bottle of sparkling water and a Fanta but that is hard to mess up.

I’ve been there twice, One for a birthday and the other one for my son and the restaurant is phenomenal people are amazing. The food is outstanding owner had come up to our table and gave us a bottle of wine for free. He is so kind, and sweet the hospitality is lovely I would recommend any occasion to come to this restaurant the food is fantastic recommend it to any occasional. It’s great for Birthday it’s great for rehearsal it’s great for company romantic Valentine’s Day any kind of day it is amazing the food is wonderful I will definitely be coming back.

We just popped in for lunch as therewas nothing else in the area. Very nice the restaurant but too loud. It took ages to get the orders and the food wasn't really nothing special, croque monsieur could not get wrong but the lasagna my partner ordered tasted very sweet and it had really nothing to do with the real lasagna. However the place is clean and the prices are on the lower side.

We were there to eat dinner. Atmosphere was nice but as we were sitting near the door it was a bit cold whenever someone came in or went out. Unfortunately the food took about an hour to be ready, the burger I had was just a normal bread and a pre bought patty, so I really do not understand why it would take an hour to prepare that. The fries were nice.

Nice setting, very calm and relaxing....unfortunately the service is also a bit "relaxed". I am used to Limburg being easy going, but preparing a portion of bitterballen takes ages. Maybe the team needed some training on the job still. Anyhow, do bot get me wrong, it is a nice place.

We had a very nice dinner at Leonardo! Service is impeccable! Very friendly! Food is authentic Italian and delicious! Good wine menu. It is a nice setting, but with a full house it can get somewhat noisy.. If you are in the neighborhood, surely worth the visit!

Had dinner here with my family. Plus are the food and the quick and attentive service. We were waited on very diligently. The food came quick and were well-prepared, decent Italian dishes. Two things I think could be better: 1. The acoustics in the front part are terrible. It’s so loud you almost have to shout to hear others at the table. It’s better in the veranda area where there are curtains to dim the noise. I suggest booking there if you’re in a company of more than 4. 2. The young waiters have little to no knowledge of the wine menu. It’s not a big issue but when you ask about a wine and the response is “it’s very delicious” you just know the poor guy/girl doesn’t have a clue. So maybe a little training about the wines would be welcome. Again: the service was very good and friendly, so no complains there, just some points for improvement!

It was really good, the staff was super friendly. I loved the house special desert it was one of the best in my life. Tho we had to wait for a decent amount of time but for the rest everything was really good and i loved it. So overal a recommendation!

Disappointing Experience I went to this restaurant and had an embarrassing experience. We ordered a pizza to share, and shortly after, the manager came to our table in a rude manner, saying that we could only stay if each person ordered an individual dish; otherwise, we would have to leave. Our plan was to have a pizza as an appetizer before ordering the main course. Even though we proceeded with a full order, the experience was already ruined. I couldn’t help but wonder if this treatment was because I am an immigrant and don’t speak the local language. Regardless of the restaurant’s policy, respect for customers should come first. I do not recommend it.

We know this place since more than 20 years. Therefore maybe my review is bot enthoustiac, since we know what we will get. The quality of the food is overall good. Only in Limburg you can find the authentic souvlaki taste. Therefore still recommend. The interior is somewhat outdated but hey, price - quality ratio is ok.

Franco Gallo owns and runs this local wineshop and restaurant at the end of the Pauwengraaf (one of Maasmechelen's older shopping streets). Prices are correct, and the information that accompanies every glass and bottle is priceless. Franco has acquired an incredible insight in not only wines, but relating subjects as well. Every bottle has a story, and if it doesn't you might be making one while you're there. Don't expect him to remember the wines you had on a previous visit but you will be amazed to discover het has not forgotten about you. I recently dropped by for a quick wine after not having seen him for 5 years, and he welcomed me in as if I'd been in a day earlier. While you're at it, the food is delicious too, so why not make it a whole night. You may already be aware of the fact you don't choose the wines, Franco selects them for you. Especially when you're trying to impress someone, see him at the bar and he'll bring the right stuff yo you.
