Bistro
Bistrot-Bar 't Wycker Cabinet is a classic French bistro with a touch of the Mediterranean, offering an authentic and cozy atmosphere in Maastricht. The restaurant serves traditional French dishes like Cote de Boeuf, Moules de Bouchots, escargots, and profiteroles. Additionally, it features a chic cocktail bar with a wide selection of cocktails inspired by both classic recipes and modern techniques.
Very nice ambience, fast and kind service. The flammkuchen were large and well prepared. The special truffle pasta was very good. For dessert, we ordered the homemade mousse, it was amazing.
Subhali S — Google review
Bistrot-Bar ‘t Wycker Cabinet offers a delightful experience in the heart of Maastricht’s Wyck district. The service was exceptional—attentive and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I indulged in a slice of traditional Limburgse rijstevlaai (rice pudding pie), a local specialty that’s both creamy and subtly sweet. The cozy ambiance, combined with the charm of the historic surroundings, made for a memorable visit. Whether you’re stopping by for a coffee, a meal, or a treat, this spot is a must-visit for authentic regional flavors and warm hospitality.
Emerson — Google review
The staff are friendly and attentive when needed, but not when you want to chill. Recommendations were spot on. The Filet de Bar "Croûte aux Herbes et Chorizo" was great!
David K — Google review
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Maastricht. The service is always warm & friendly - attentive without being cloying - and the food delicious. The menu varies slightly by season and they always offer seasonal specials. My husband generally chooses the toast poulet & avocado or the Caesar salad and I am obsessed with the flammkuchen Gruyère and their French onion soup. Honestly, though, you can’t go wrong here. Every single thing we’ve ordered here has been a hit with us.

We have ordered 2 breakfast and drinks . We Gad good time with friends Thank you

Returned multiple times, tried various dishes and I haven’t found one thing to complain about. Coffee, soup, burger, bread dishes etc all maintains consistent quality. Also quick with service.
Saung P — Google review
Good food, delicious flammkuchen and had the most delicious caprese ravioli with sundried tomatoes and pistachio. Recommend the pasta and gruyére flammkuchen. My parents and I were impressed with these dishes.
Sophie C — Google review
I ate at this restaurant with a friend. We payed separately as our company paid for our lunch. I asked my receipt (not the total) but for these I paid. The guy that serviced us told me that I have to send an e-mail in order the logistic part of their company see their system and that they have the ability for this. I sent an e-mail and they replied that this is not possible. Now I have to apology to my company because of their unawareness. They do not even know between the staff what they can do and what not!!!

Fine dining restaurant
Restaurant
Beluga Loves You is a top-notch dining destination in Maastricht, offering lavish dishes with innovative twists. The restaurant overlooks the picturesque river Maas and has earned two Michelin stars for its exceptional cuisine. For a taste of traditional local specialties, visitors can head to In Den Ouden Vogelstruys, the city's oldest cafe, or Eetcafe Ceramique for hearty rabbit dishes.
We went from Nijmegen only for dinner at Beluga Loves You and celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and the night was unforgettable! With the snow falling outside (middle of January), it felt like the perfect night! The food was incredible—I even tried caviar for the first time and egg duck! Every dish was beautifully presented, we paired every dish with wine and non-alcoholic drinks. As someone who’s gluten-free, I really appreciated how well they accommodated me without missing out on any flavors. The service was good, the ambiance was cozy yet elegant, and overall, it was just a great experience. My first visit to a Michelin restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary, for the place and for the company!
Ashelén T — Google review
What a phenomenal experience! From the first small bites with a fabulous glass of champagne to the final dessert course, every bite was spectacular. The service was impeccable and the wine pairing was on point. I can’t say enough about how good this meal was. Every dish was so thoughtfully prepared and executed perfectly. All of the servers where on top of of every part of the service. Couldn’t recommend this more if you are looking for an elevated dining experience in the Netherlands. The real bonus was sitting at the chef’s counter and watching how a well oiled machine works. So impressed!
Gregg S — Google review
Neglect and slowness From the moment we walked through the door, our expectations were very high due to the customers' feedback. I believe my wife and I share the same perception that the flavors are varied and harmoniously rich. However, there is something that we kept repeating in our conversation throughout the experience. We’ve had different experiences at other renowned restaurants and we understand that the steps are complicated and take time, but I think, in this case, they were excessive. We even considered leaving before the desserts. In conclusion, they could handle the situation better by understanding that at a Michelin-starred restaurant, the management of such situations should be more fluid and transparent with customers. This is not a criticism, but I am a chef at a 5-star hotel, and I want to be critical, especially to preserve gastronomy and customer service. Thank you
Sergio B — Google review
Over my last 10 starred restaurants this one comes very strong on the Top 2. The atmosphere, overseeing the river, very large room, turns out both classy and natural. Welcoming with apéritive in the lobby before food at the table should be mandatory everywhere. Excellent concept. The mushrooms topped dark bread was fantastic. Service was extremely friendly, doing lot of efforts in different languages. The food was very well structured. The first "wow" effect with the cold appetiser is followed by a very complex fish assembly, before the excellently cooked veal. Cheese selection was completely satisfying but might be weaker compared to the rest of the menu. When coming to Holland one might have too high expectations on this. Overall definitely one of the best price to quality and experience ratio in Europe (benchmarking with many comparable places in different countries).

Exquisiet! Everything BLY do is just tremendous. Two star dining, for sure.
F. — Google review
My experience in this restaurant was more than amazing! They focus on crafting a great food presentation which gave as the first good impression and when we tried the food the taste was fantastic!!! My friend told the waiter that she has specific requirements for food and the Chef just prepared her what she wants that wasn't even in the menu! They are just an adorable staff I have to say and they deserve more than one Michelin star :)

Over the top experience for all the senses. It's a place to enjoy food as a work of art. The wine pairing was remarkable as well as the kind service, the beluga team made us feel special all the time.

Restaurant
De Brandweerkantine is a unique dining spot located in an old fire station, offering a wide range of delicious options for vegans and non-vegans alike. The vintage furniture and open setting within the converted firehouse create a charming atmosphere, making it a popular spot for locals, students, and remote workers. Whether you're looking for a quick breakfast or a leisurely lunch, this place has got you covered with its diverse menu.
A great place to hang out with friends or spend some time. It’s an old fire station that has been repurposed into a community-like space. The atmosphere here is great, accounting to that is the fact that there’s always people here. They have the usual selection of beers and other drinking options and a nice selection of bites to eat. The food is ok, nothing special but made with fresh and high quality ingredients. Overall a good place to spend some time in Maastricht.
Stefan-Alexandru — Google review
Former fire station turned to be a stylish restaurant a la Maastrich style. The menu is solid, the drinks sophisticated and the service is efficient. Spacious and also outdoor seating.
Andrea P — Google review
Located in the former fire brigades garage, a bit outside the center of Maastricht. Good variety in the menu to suit vegetarians, vegans and meat/fish eaters. Interesting combinations. We had the white fish with asparagus and the ball zucchinis with feta cheese. Both excellent and recommended. The leafy salad was good, too, because it was indeed a large bowl of mixed salad leafs. Just the way I like it! We did not have space in our stomachs to try a desser, but the black coffee was good and came with a small chocolate chip cookie. The brandweer kantine has a nice outdoor terras and multiple cocktails, beers and wines. You can spend a long and pleasant evening here.

Airy, bright restaurant with delicious food served in generous portions. Service is very slow and some parts of my order were forgotten.
Hannah D — Google review
Great atmosphere, delicious food and a well curated variety of beers. Great place to work, study, hang out with friends and create community. Good products and very very tasty food (Erg lekker!!!). But of everything that's good of this place, our absolute highlight (Went there with my girlfriend) was the good, friendly and super kind service. Best wishes and love to the tall waiter with cool outfit and big smile. Greetings from the cyberspace!

Good brunch spot in Maastricht (not the best, check my profile for the best 😉) Service is a bit slow but the staff is very friendly. I loved the creativity in the dishes, I recommend the halloumi dish and the watermelon juice! The cheesecake is ok.
Charbel S — Google review
Tried this place multiple times during both lunch and dinner hours. Lunch they have multiple choices for Brezel sandwiches & Sourdough. Dinner they serve different main dishes covering different type of proteins. I especially like their Tuesday Schnitzel special. Fish is not common on the menu but it tastes fantastic too. Not to mention this place is also offering vegetarian dishes too! Overall, good food, chill vibe, excellent space. Worth a visit.

Experience a delightful evening of gastronomic pleasure at Mes Amis, a charming family restaurant located in Maastricht's Vrijthofplein. Indulge in a delectable 5-course surprise menu featuring fresh local ingredients and complemented by regional wines. The cozy yet spacious venue is overseen by the hospitable hostess Annaline Doelen and her son, Chef Patriek, ensuring an enchanting fine dining experience.
Just go here you will not be disappointed. Delicious, friendly, great local wines and good value!
DPP H — Google review
Mes Amis is halfway through a market cuisine unpretentious restaurant and a fine dining experience with a focus on wine, especially regional one. Settled on two floor it has a pretty cozy atmosphere, tables are not far from each other and everyone is talking and enjoying his time. The staff was very accommodating and is pretty knowledgeable about the local wines. I'd say is by far the most interesting wine tasting experience I had till now in a restaurant in the Netherlands, bringing highlights on the otherwise off the radar Limburgse wine scene. What is less impressive is the food itself, not bad of course but there is some work to do still. All round is a pretty good experience and I recommend the place in particular if you're a wine lover.
LMC A — Google review
Flawless experience. From food to wines, atmosphere, staff... We enjoyed a very creative cuisine, very well executed, paired with brilliant local wines. A true "aanrader"
Simon S — Google review
Highly recommended! Very attentive service! Great dishes! Great wines! We will gladly visit this restaurant again!
Florian F — Google review
Dined with my wife and her sister. We had the 4 course dinner and only I took the wine arrangement as well. All the food and amuses were terrific. The food pairing was also wonderful. The wine knowledge of the ladies is very good. They know their stuff. I was looking forward to drink Limburg wines and I was not disappointed. My companions kept thanking me for the choice of Mes Amis. Would like to mention that I reserved the evening from Curaçao. My recommendation goes to everybody.
Mike B — Google review
Great food and wine pairings. Excellent service. All in all, a lovely evening.
Danielle M — Google review
Our experience was a bit spoiled by the bone in one of the dishes. Although this did not get much attention from staff during the dinner, the chef kindly contacted me after to apologize and resolve the situation. First few courses were hit or miss including this situation, but the main dish and dessert were fine. The service and the attention of the chef saved the experience of the dinner overall.
Nick M — Google review
Way too expensive for what you get. For the value… one of my least favorite restaurants I have ever been to. I have been twice… 6 years apart and had the same reaction. Normal food.. way too expensive… Sub par wine… good service and nice people though. Happy to pay top dollar for good food but this just isn’t it. Shocked how good the reviews are. Also had to pay a 100 deposit to come… strange.

Le Bon Vivant is a charming restaurant located in a vaulted cellar just a short distance from Vrijthof, making it an ideal setting for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner. The restaurant offers a special menu for this occasion, featuring 5- or 6-course options in an all-inclusive package with a love-themed aperitif, meal, wine pairing, table water, and coffee.
Amazing fine dining place. Everything was absolutely fantastic. AND special huge shoutout for an amazing non-alcoholic “wine” pairing - that was something special! I have had seen so many home made non alcoholic beverages that were so tasty but also matched the food so well. 10/10 experience in general
Bernard K — Google review
Very good casual fine dining option in an old basement. Two seasonal menus on offer (vegetarian and non-vegetarian), plus a la carte. Serving sizes are okay. Five courses is enough. Wine pourings are very generous. They want you to pay 25€ per person with the reservation. Understandable if annoying precaution for no shows.
Nick D — Google review
Pleasantly and positively surprised with our experience here. Attentive and personal service, without feeling overly stiff/formal. Cosy setting and calm+quiet. Full vegetarian menu + worthwhile non-alcoholic pairing available, which we appreciate. All were delicious & original, well worth our time and money. Will be coming back when we're in the area again :)
Barra C — Google review
An unforgettable experience at Le Bon Vivant! From the moment we walked in, we felt truly welcomed — Adem made the evening special with his warmth and genuine passion. The wine pairing was outstanding and so thoughtfully explained — we didn’t just drink great wines, we learned about them. Each glass revealed something new and perfectly complemented the food. The duck rillette, plaice with squid, Angus d’Ardennes, and the date & chai dessert were all exceptional — creative, balanced, and full of flavor. Beautiful atmosphere, lovely music, and a team that feels like family. If you love good food, great wine, and genuine hospitality, this is the place to go in Maastricht.
Izabela G — Google review
Very nice ambience and food: 5 stars. But only 3 stars for the „wine by glass“ because they were mediocre (we tasted 1 cava, 1 white and 3 red wines, all were nothing special) - we didn’t decide for bottle because we were „only“ 2 for a 3 course meal à la carte. May be the wines by bottle are better… 🤔. Just a recommendation for e.g. the Pinot Noir: Best region for that grape is “Burgundy” and “Palatinate”/Germany and NOT “Languedoc” (their own brand is from Languedoc).
William W — Google review
Reserved a midweek menu, staff was attentive and food was great. Restaurant is in a beautiful place, good and creative dishes. Amuse bouche was great, rabbit was good but accompanying sides were not very special tasting. Sauce was tasty but some corn sides did not have a lot of taste. Dessert was amazing, and wine pairings complemented very well!
Ana L — Google review
What a lovely spot! We went for my partner's birthday, and had the most wonderful time. The atmosphere is warm and elegant, the host friendly and kind, and the food was very good. I highly recommend the cheese plate! Thank you for such a nice evening!

The restaurant prides itself on using ingredients from its own garden, resulting in a weekly changing menu featuring delectable dishes. Guests can indulge in fine dining with options ranging from refined main courses to oysters and an array of cheeses.
Great experience in a very warm day. Cozy and quiet lunch. Maybe the kitchen can concentrate a bit more on the presentation of the food, but everything was very tasty. Thanks also for the nice compliment :)

disssgustingggg is an understatement for this restraunt. we went with high hopes but left disgusted! food was tragic. taste was off. salad looked as if my nephew was doing an experiment with everything that was left in the pantry. just when we thought that it couldnt get any worse, we got served raw chicken that was clearly pink and undercooked. we addressed the matter immediately, and expected apologies and the matter to be taken seriously. however to our suprise, the waiter who appeared to be a male, had excused this tragedy, claiming that "the chicken is slow cooked", leaving us absolutely stunned with his alarming level of confidence . to the best of our knowledge, we know that properly slowcooked chicken should be fully cooked through, tender and safe to eat! we immediately told the waiter that the state the chicken came in was a "serious health threat" - the last thing we would want on a holiday is salmonella. and he said he'd tell the chef. after coming back again, he once again excused and insisted on this nonsense statement, saying its how its supposed to be due to the cooking method. raw chicken is never how "its supposed to be"

Had a very nice lunch here, I took the 4 menu courses. Unfortunately it was not arranged with starter-main-dessert style, but more like pick any dishes you want, but the dishes are really good, super tasty and strong flavour. The cocktails also very nice. However got a mixed feeling when the wifi is not working at all in where I was seated, I was having LDR anniversary, luckily I had hotspot, we were struggling a bit, but nevertheless the experience and the lunch overall are perfect. The staff are kinda kind, but they are professional 🙌🏻 I got a special dessert cake for my anniversary, and I really appreciate that. Thanks!

Makes sense why everyone loves this place in Maastricht. Food is delicious. Waiters are a bit aggressive by folding the napkins when you stand up, and sometimes felt like they were rushing us compared to older not-student-looking people. The experience was still good.

We had the pleasure of dining there during our short visit in the city. The dining area is really cozy while the service was really on point. We selected a couple of starters and the suggested cut. Everything nicely presented and the variation of flavors, spot on! Good job!

De Gouverneur is a renowned establishment in the provincial capital of Limburg, known for its extensive selection of over 300 specialty beers and 28 taps, pouring more than 100,000 liters annually. Housed in a former brewery, this cozy tavern offers an array of Belgian specialty beers and delicious local dishes. With its warm atmosphere and delectable offerings, it's a must-visit for beer enthusiasts and those craving authentic Belgian cuisine.
Myself and two friends had a layover in Maastricht before starting our return to Texas last week. Ive spent a lot of time in Maastricht over the past 25 years but had never tried this place. The staff was very attentive, The food was excellent. After we finished eating we discovered the inside had AC and we grabbed a seat right beside the kitchen. We quickly noticed the what a tight kitchen the chef was running. Everything was spotless and the young chef was on top of his game. One of the better run kitchens Ive ever seen. We complimented him as we left. If life allows me I will return to Maastricht and visit De Gouverneur again.

Cheese cubes. Spare ribs. Calamari. Delicious! Staff/service is wonderful. Good music. Atmosphere is VERY cool! Busy place, and I know why... If you don't make reservations, still stop by; we did not have reservations and were able to get a 2- person table.
Tammy G — Google review
De Gouverneur is our go-to spot to unwind or grab a bite when in Maastricht. Good food, good location, good staff! Pros: > Their spare ribs are the best in Maastricht compared to Oak34, Carnal, and Guacho's. Hands down! > The waiting time for food is decent, despite having a lot of customers. > The bar design inside is cool! > Has a lot of seating both indoors and outdoors > Their staff are professional, friendly, and fast Cons: > Breaks the nice atmosphere when it gets crowded. It can get noisy and you bump to other guests.

One of the best cafes, if not the best cafe, in Maastricht. Voluminous and varied beer menu. From bottles to taps there’s a beer here for you. Tasty, quick menu options. Excellent and friendly staff members. Classy and cool vibe. The beer always comes fresh and with a clean glass and the food is always delivered prompt and warm.
Bill R — Google review
A very relaxed atmosphere. Our waiter is very knowledgeable weigh his recommendation of beer which I appreciate a lot. The food was excellent. It was an overall wonderful experience.
Nils P — Google review
A fantastic bar, beer selection is the best I’ve seen outside of Belgium, and everything I asked for was in stock. I was there on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed both inside and out. Plenty of helpful servers, my fellow customers were also very pleasant, nobody appeared to be there just for the kick of the stronger beers, again that’s not always the case in Belgian beer bars. It’s not a far walk from the market. I recommend you visit this bar, wish it was in Scotland.
John F — Google review
Amazing place! Best menu of beer i have ever seen! Incredible service. Staff constantly going around making sure every table has what they need!

Modern European restaurant
Café de Bóbbel is a classic café in Maastricht, known for its delicious food and as the perfect spot to start your evening. The menu may be familiar, but the quality is top-notch. The bar takes center stage in this European-style café, where locals gather to enjoy Dutch classics and a lively atmosphere. It's a popular local spot with a vibrant crowd and an authentic ambiance. Additionally, it's one of the most beloved cafes in Maastricht.
It was very hard to find an unoccupied table here at Maastricht during King’s Day but we managed to get a table at Café de Bóbbel (which was a huge surprise as I questioned how this great place isn’t full during this Saturday evening:) Mussels are the absolute-must-have! Also, you must order their bouillabaisse, which was full of flavours🍲 Additionally, we order an amazing steak tartare and a portion of spaghetti with truffles. Both meals were delicious! If you are looking for a place to have a great lunch or dinner, I highly recommend paying Café de Bóbbel a visit!

Staffs was really friendly and nice. We went during lunch hour and had a sandwiches burger. Tastes are fine and there are other choices too but personally felt the others less interesting. However, didn’t manage to try their mosselen so probably will be returning for another try!

We went in one evening in the recent heatwave, just fancying something lite. We has D a cheese board and a charcuterie board, with wine and beer. It was exactly right and served by a really nice, friendly member of staff. Highly recommended

We had the most amazing cocktails in this cosy pub. The day after we went for lunch, fabulous mussels and nice variation on tuna salad on Swedish wrap. Best service in town!

Very nice restaurant with great service. Beautiful interior with a central bar location. Nice selection of food and drinks. Main courses were mostly just over 20 Euros, and drink prices were very reasonable. Raymond is an excellent host, and the entire staff is responsive and efficient.

The food was delicious! The main course was amazing, and the soup was incredibly rich and tasty. French fries were just the right amount of salty, definitely will come again!

My partner and I had an utterly scrumptious lunch here today; the service was sharp, food delicious (and took the right amount of time to come to us after ordering), the environment was comfortable and the bill was very reasonable considering everything had been on point. Would recommend and hope to go again! Edit: upon returning once again on another visit to Maastricht, we had a scrumptious feast, enjoyed by several drinks. So glad that the service and quality has been maintained!

We had moules avec de frites which were good. Not great but good. What bothered us was that other people around us ordered later than us and got the food earlier. We waited 30 minutes for the escargots and another 40 minutes for the moules which is too long and not acceptable.

Bouchon D'en Face is a charming French restaurant located in the vibrant Wyck district of Maastricht. Since its opening in 2013, it has been serving traditional and honest French dishes in a modern and cozy atmosphere. The ambiance is set with dim lighting and classic French music, creating an ideal setting for a romantic dinner or any special occasion. The menu features authentic French cuisine, offering delights such as escargots, bouillabaisse, and steak tartare.
Great and affordable deeply french restaurant, embracing the cousine! Waitstaff was very nice and welcoming. They also have a great wine selection, which by the glass is very affordable! Can recommend! 3 course is 42eur pp.
Hendrik B — Google review
The ambience is great and the food is delicious. However, some points could surely be improved. First, during reservation I indicated that one person does not eat meat. As appetizer we got sliced sausage, nothing else. Not really prepared I wonder? We had reserved at 17.30 but the restaurant first opened at 17.45, a little bit more respect for the customer perhaps? When examining the wine chart, the owner disappeared and the waitress first asked us just before the main course which wine we wanted. A little late perhaps? The food is really good but the greens with the first course where prepared without love and the carrots of the main course were quite uncooked and hard to cut with a knife. The dessert was also in need of some TLC. Price wise it is fine, the courses are very well priced, some wines are however quite expensive when compared to market prices. As said earlier, the food is really good and it was a great experience but it could be excellent when paying attention to some details and some more TLC.

I am currently visiting Maastricht from Den Haag and have just had the 5-course Christmas Day menu at Bouchon d’en Face. It was such a lovely experience and it was nicely decorated for Christmas, with Christmas music playing. I had the pescatarian option, as I do not eat meat and the chef did a fabulous job with making these changes for me. All 5 courses were so tasty and the wine and champagne were great too. I also wanted to say a big ‘thank you’ to the staff; I was dining alone, and they all made me feel comfortable and were attentive to me. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Maastricht.

We visited Bouchon D'en Face with our staff party and had our menus all sorted our. Great job on handling such a massive group so well. I enjoyed my stay (I'm sure we all did) and the food we got served. I had the steak tartare and the codfish as the fish of the day. I hope to visit the restaurant again in my own time with my partner.

Château Neercanne, located in Maastricht, offers suites that blend modern style with the historic charm of the original building. Each suite features a super king bed, seating area, and en-suite bathroom with luxurious amenities. The property provides free private parking, a shared lounge, and a terrace. After regaining its Michelin star in 2023 under Chef Robert Levels' leadership, the restaurant offers contemporary twists on French classics while staying true to the chateau's character.
The Château is a unique place! Excellent venue as a castle or as a place for garden-dinner but you can also enjoy the mystical dim and events in the cave of the quarry. There are traces of wine culture but I really miss the vineyards on the hillside. The view around is beautiful! The Neercanne Castle, the only terraced castle in the Netherlands. Also, it is home to a renowned, Michelin starred restaurant! The castle is first mentioned in the 14th century; since then it has been rebuilt several times. It owes its current Form to Baron Van Dopff, the military governor of Maastricht, who had a country residence built there in 1698. Behind this castle, marl blocks were quarried, probably to obtain building stone for the castle and its terraces, in an underground marl quarry: the Kasteelgroeve. The castle owner owned the quarry for centuries and had it mined commercially. But the inhabitants of the village of Kanne were also allowed to saw blocks for their own use, such as a new barn or renovation. This resulted in many small-scale clearings that give this corridor system a whimsical appearance.

I ate at L'Auberge and it was one of the best meals I have ever had. I biked from Maastricht and it was the perfect spot for a rest. My waitress was extremely helpful in recommending excellent options. The view was beautiful and then I especially enjoyed walking through the gardens. I highly recommend.

I’d hoped to enjoy a sundowner, but there was a private wedding taking place. Even so, I was in absolute awe of the exterior, the gardens, and the breathtaking views. Definitely would love to visit in the near future.

An exceptional dining experience in every respect. Château Neercanne offers a truly memorable setting – the historic castle, its terraced gardens, and the view over the Jeker Valley create an atmosphere that is both elegant and serene. The ambiance is sophisticated yet inviting, perfectly balanced to make you feel welcome without any formality. Service was flawless: attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. Every member of the team ensured we felt cared for, all without being intrusive or overly formal – a rare and much-appreciated combination. We opted for the fish-based menu, which was nothing short of outstanding. Each course was beautifully presented and perfectly executed, with subtle flavor combinations that reflected real culinary finesse. The chef’s creativity and respect for seasonal ingredients were evident throughout. A place to return to – and to recommend without hesitation.

An absolutely unique location! Château Neercanne stands out not only because of its historic charm and breathtaking views, but especially because of the impressive cave system. De Bisschopsmolen is a historic watermill located just a short walk from the city center, along the Jeker River. Guided tours of the mill are also available for those interested in learning about its millennium-old flour production process.
Must visit. The coffee, sandwiches, people, atmosphere ... Everything is amazing here. Even the locality is right out of an 80s postcard. But, reserve a table. The place is extremely crowded and everyone wants to eat here.

Visited couple times and i won’t be lying when i said: reserve before coming (if possible) because the place is small yet everyone wants to eat vlaai here. Other pastries also available (broodjeworst, also a favorite from this place). Recommended to pack some pieces home for your loved ones because you haven’t visited maastricht without vlaai from their place.
Adinda — Google review
Tucked away in the heart of Maastricht, Bisschopsmolen is a charming bakery that combines local tradition with warm hospitality. Known for its freshly baked sourdough bread, pies, and cookies, the bakery stands out for the remarkable freshness of its products. Pies are baked throughout the day, ensuring that each slice tastes as if it just came out of the oven. Next to the bakery, the inviting cafeteria offers a wide selection of pie slices, sandwiches, and beverages. During multiple visits, I had the pleasure of trying both vegan pies and vegan sandwiches, each one consistently delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The staff are not only knowledgeable about their products but also genuinely helpful and accommodating, which enhances the overall experience. Bisschopsmolen is undeniably popular, so expect a lively and bustling atmosphere. Seating can be limited, but the tradition of table sharing adds to the friendly and communal feel. Just ask politely and you’ll likely find a spot. What makes this place even more special is its setting. Adjacent to and behind the cafeteria lies the Wasserrad, a beautifully preserved watermill that underscores the historical charm of the location. It’s well worth taking a moment to explore. Verdict: Bisschopsmolen is more than a bakery. It’s an authentic Maastricht experience. Come for the pies, stay for the atmosphere, and don’t miss the watermill.

Pieke Potloed is a cozy restaurant located in Maastricht, offering a taste of classic countryside cuisine with a touch of style. The eatery celebrates the rich gastronomic heritage of the region by serving up traditional dishes that pay homage to Limburg's culinary identity. From hearty stews to savory pies, each dish captures the essence of Maastricht's traditional cuisine.
The food was delicious! I was there for lunch yesterday with 3 friends, ohhh and the capuchino with extra delicious sweets. Very friendly service, but what impressed us the most was a young man working there, paying a lot of attention to the clients as if he could read our minds, then we saw him helping a lady who seemed disabled to reach the toilet. We all awe what a sweet person.

Fantastic place with really excellent regional specialities. We had em all. Onion soup, Asparagus soup, beef stew, pickled rabbit, and when we wondered if we could get something for our dog (who had been welcomed with open arms) chef did a beautiful salmon steak without sauce etc and they unilaterally chose to make it half price! All three of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Though i suspect we’ve made a rod for our own backs re the hound! Did i say that the service was more than excellent. Loved this place

The salad was good. The meat in the skewers was dry. The place is covers with trashy plastic flowers. Surfaces were dusty. They’ve covered the beautiful brick wall with ugly pictures. Plastic broken flowers on the tables. The lunch menu is interesting with local dishes, but the dinner menu is really boring. A place with alot of potential.
Denise G — Google review
My first compliment is for the great serving attitude the staff has: from the person who welcomed us without a reservation and made an effort to give us a place where we hoped to be seated, to the waitress who graciously dealt with my “extra side dish” wishes. The second compliment is to the chef. His/her Salmon Filet with potato gratin with a secret (broccoli) ingredient was so mouthwatering, so I had to order another one! 😇 Thank you very much for making our final dinner in Maastricht a success!
Katja S — Google review
My lowest ever review. Came in drawn by highly praised reviews. Place looks really good, nice setting, great building and fabulous inner court. However, staff seamed very distracted by something, drinks were served smaller than should have been and then staff totally forgot to ask or offer anything else. Can’t comment on food because I didn’t get a chance to try anything.

Good drinks, good food and a beautiful view. I'd recommend trying tortilla de patatas.
Ararat M — Google review
During the calm morning of Carnaval in Maastricht i sat down in this Taverna and i was welcomed by a very forthcoming waitress. I opted for the Tortilla de patatas. Which was very good. The taste was strong and the presentation was also really good. The bread which came with it was also very soft and high quality. I would definitely recommend coming here to get a little lunch or late breakfast! Only downside was that they did not have the Sopa del dia but that must be a coincidence.
Marijn P — Google review
A good mediterranean experience, especially for internationals. The menu has different flavors from Portugal, Spain, Italy and Greece, that overall were good. I especially recommend the stew meat and meatballs - extraordinary dishes to dip bread in. The portions are not big (even for tapas), so although I recommend to share the plates with your friends, prepare yourself to order a few more (2/3 portions per person). Being from Portugal, I would say it's a good effort.

i’ts a very cozy and nice terrace but you cannot take just drinks. When you are seated you will have to wait a long time for the waitress to come over as 3 of them walked by multiple times just to chat with eachother and not take notice of our willingness to order. We waited for 15 minutes, and after multiple times asking if they could take our order they just cleared tabled next to us and ignored us. They were more interested in getting the tables full than take care of the actual customers. We walked off after 20 minutes of no services. Do not reccommend!
Melissa V — Google review
Very delicious food but service is a bit random. The wait staff is in general very friendly but could be more attentive. We received some of our orders around the same time, but then there were two dishes where we had to ask what happened as it was then 30 min after we ordered. Good food, although some of us were still hungry afterwards. The male waiter was rude and full of himself. At the end of the night, we were not informed that we couldn't order anything anymore. Slight heads up wouldn't be bad. They just stopped coming to the table and when I went downstairs to order a drink, I was told in a cocky way that we couldn't order anymore. Fun to be treated that way if the bill is over 2000 euros!

We went there with high expectations due to the positive reviews. The location is really nice as well as the stuff. However, when it comes to food, we were a bit disappointed. We took the tasting menu, the first dish with baby lobster was a bit flat & not seasoned. Dessert was also nice but not really fitting to a tasting menu as it wasn’t anything original. While we understand that it is a tasting menu, the portions were really small vs the prices that they ask for.I am sorry to say there are better options in Maastricht.

Love the outdoor seating, and love the espresso drinks even more. I will forever be chasing an eggs Benedict as good as the one I had here, as that hollandaise sauce over that sourdough was divine. If you do sit outside, just walk in before you sit and give a wave to the staff so they know to come out and check on you/order.

This place is usually quite busy, especially on weekends, but it’s definitely a great spot for breakfast. Even though there was no table available when we arrived, we only had to wait about 5 minutes. There are plenty of tables, so one frees up quickly—no need to worry. The tables are placed quite close to each other, but if that doesn’t bother you, it shouldn't be an issue. For the quantity, presentation, flavour, and service you get, it’s definitely worth it. The coffee is very good and well prepared. Nothing extraordinary, but still good. The food, on the other hand, is simply fantastic—delicious and beautifully presented. The bathrooms are clean, and the interior is lovely. I do feel that it is a franchise, but it doesn’t disappoint. The menu is quite extensive. If you don’t know Dutch or English, it may feel a bit overwhelming, but worst case, you can always use Google Translate.

This is THE PLACE TO BE for a morning coffee and healthy bowl. It made me want to wake up everyday to have breakfast in the breezy and fresh cobblestone streets of maastricht. We tried the yogurt bowl and the mango bowl. Both very flavorful, generous, super fresh fruits and crunchy home made granola that topped it all. Must try! We also tried the egg wrap, very filling and tasty.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice, but unfortunately the staff’s attitude made the experience less enjoyable. When we arrived it was full, so we said we were happy to wait. However, the staff told us—rather rudely—that we could not sit while waiting and directed us to stand in a particular spot. This created a poor impression at the start. While the food and setting are very good, the service left much to be desired.

We were there two days in a row The reason for that on the first day, only I ate, my friends had already eaten, but when I got my food they regretted it and wanted to come back the next day, I had the Asian ribs. So tender and full of flavour, the only thing that didn't quite fit in was the coleslaw, it was a little tasteless against the other flavours. The day after we wanted to try the fish and meat dish of the day. The fish already gone, so we decided to try the lamb, but that wasn't any success, it was chewy and the potatoes in the salad was extremely undercooked. I called on one of the waiters, and I must say that the way they sorted this out and replaced our food with something else after our choosing was just fantastic. Last Wednesday, I enjoyed an unforgettable lunch at **Cafe Zuid Restaurant**, and I’m already planning my next visit! For starters, their **Ginger Ale with Lemon and Mint** was the perfect refreshing kick—crisp, zesty, and bursting with fresh herbs. But the star of the show? The **Kip Pasteijte (Chicken Vol-au-Vent)**! This Dutch classic was an absolute delight: flaky, buttery pastry filled with tender chicken and earthy champignons in a creamy sauce, paired with a light, vibrant salad. Every bite was a harmonious blend of comfort and sophistication. What stood out was the **attention to detail**—the dish was hearty yet elegantly presented, and the flavors were rich without being overwhelming. The cozy ambiance and friendly service made the experience even better. If you’re searching for a **must-try lunch spot** with authentic flavors and generous portions, Cafe Zuid is it. Perfect for foodies craving something unique, comforting, and Instagram-worthy! **10/10 recommend**—this hidden gem deserves all the stars! 🌟 **#BestLunchInTown #DutchDelights #FoodieHeaven #CafeZuidMagic #MustTryChickenPasteijte** *(Pro tip: Pair your meal with their minty ginger ale for the ultimate refreshment!)*

A really nice store! The view was amazing, we were looking at the canal, everything was perfect. We ordered two coffees, the waiter came quickly, everything fine. The atmosphere was ideal, because it was a combination of the store, the weather, the company, the location, and the coffee. I would go again, it's a no brainer.

After a beautiful spring walk in Het Savelsbos we decided to have a drink at Café Zuid. The drink turned into a dinner. We were not expecting more than the average bite, but were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The vegetables and meat were cooked “just au point”, perfect, not mushy, not raw. It was visually appealing and pleasant service. Altogether a delicious and pleasant meal. We will be back.

great ambience. fresh ingredients and generous portion for the price. things tend to be a tad salty but still great flavour. good selection of beer but perhaps not the best place for artisan cocktails or spirits.

The best spaghetti a la vongole I have had outside of Italy. The other dishes equally delicious. Very pleasant and kind service and so is the atmosphere. Relaxing and welcoming Bravo!

Had a really amazing lunch here. The waitress was super friendly and attentive and the food was just delicious! The portion sizes are perfect for ordering multiple different things to try/share. The garden is really beautiful and the atmosphere is great.

We could not have asked for a more perfect evening. Very friendly and welcoming staff, three homerun dishes and the perfect ambiance. We sat inside as it was cold out with the patio closed and it felt like a little greenhouse in there. We ordered the Baba Ghanoush and Mutabal as our apps with the Coscia d'Anatra, Kharuf, and Orata Alla Griglia as our mains. Each one was perfectly cooked and flavored. This feels like a hidden gem just outside of the main downtown. Highly recommend!

Incredible!! Food was fresh and both cooked and seasoned to perfection. Best falafel I have ever had. The atmosphere is adorable, and the service glowed. I won't forget the evening. Thank you!

Really nice cuisine and impeccable vibe when you get to enjoy the garden in summer. I love food options in general but I’ve had better hummus and Baba ganoush for cheaper, The main dish also felt a bit lacking for the price. Almost no garnish except some potatoes and a sad salad.

We went on a sunny weekday afternoon with our two kids and enjoyed the atmosphere in the beautiful park-like backyard behind the former brewery. We tried their elderberry-infused beer that was so good that we took a bottle home. We had the octopus, the duck leg and the baba ganoush which were delicious. We will come back and recommend this to any food lover! Service was excellent as well, free cold water included.

Le Fernand is a charming French bistro located in Maastricht, at the Stenenbrug. Run by Fernand, it offers traditional French dishes like confit de canard and cuisses de grenouilles, along with a great selection of wines. The cozy atmosphere makes it a popular spot for both locals and visitors. The restaurant's small size adds to its intimate ambiance, making it feel like you've been transported to France.
Had such a great experience at this place! The food was amazing and the restaurant is super cozy I really recommend the tuna Although I came with my family, I would say it’s a super nice place for dinner dates :)

We pretty much liked everything about this place. Food was delicious and fairly priced, service was very nice, and the atmosphere is more french than most restaurants we've been to in France. Will come again.
Georg M — Google review
Je ne regrette rien by Edith Piaf was playing in the background. I didn't regret anything at Le Fernand : friendly waiters, good quality food, short waiting times. And above all, a great selection of wines. I had the oysters as appetizer. The grilled tuna as a main. Comes with bread and olive tapenade. Classic style and familiar. But very well executed. Cook looks still young but did well. The only disadvantage : there's a pie bakery shop opposite, window shelve with pastries looks heavenly too. A good lunch. Really enjoyed.

During our Maastricht trip, we've visited Le Fernand for some delicious local cuisine - french inspired. There is outdoor and indoor seating available. The restaurant is located in the old town, so might be busy during peak hours. Definitely worth a trip! Staff are friendly and food comes out quickly.

Lovely cafe style restaurant with excellent food. We enjoy coming here for some little Paris vibe. The menu is not huge but is a nice balance between fish, meat and others and most dishes leave you wanting more because they taste amazing. They have a great variety of drinks besides a, to be expected a bit, good selection of wines. The menu doesn't do justice, do ask the staff or check the boards hanging throughout the place. We were slightly disappointed with the pastries for dessert however which lacked flavor compared to the beautiful dishes served. I'll take the cheese next time 😂 Nice place, nice people, great location 👍

A truly wonderful experience in the heart of Maastricht. The food is fantastic and the staff are very friendly and attentive. We had the 6 course dinner and it was superb. Due to the popularity, it is very hard to get reservations here. Therefore, pls be sure to make a reservation a few months in advance at least

Simply excellent!!! 👌🏾 We went for lunch on Sunday and had the 6-course menu, adding the Wagyu to top it off. The staff were really friendly and attentive, explaining all the courses and giving great wine recommendations to pair with them. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. We’ll definitely be back – next time for dinner! Do make a reservation well in advance though, as it’s a very popular restaurant.

What a nice experience! Delicious food, tasty wines and amazing service. Definitely worth to visit, every dish was breathtaking!
Carolina C — Google review
We had an overall lovely experience. Unique location, great food, wine and presentation. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The service was truly great. We would recommend Onglet and think they will probably receive a Michelin star soon. However there were a view things we personally missed a bit; The chefs welcome was very tasty. Great bread, butters and one charcuterie. We would have loved a couple of different charcuterie’s to taste as it is a “butcher’s place. And preferred to have some steak after the first 2 courses. All dishes were haute cuisine style, which we love but we would have liked if it switched off between haute cuisine dishes and a good piece of steak. This was only the case at the very end; a steak to share. We have to mention that there is an option to choose pieces of meat as add on to the tasting menu. We didn’t choose that at first, as we thought there must be a lot of meat coming up already. The tasting lasted a bit long (3 hours for 6 small to medium size dishes) which also made us skip ordering more meat towards the end. We closed our meal with the cheese tasting; which was a lovely selection.
Lorin M — Google review
Even with (partial) corona lockdown this little place should be on your to do list. Grab a couple of the amazing sandwiches to go, order a nice bottle of wine and have your own fancy lunch. If the sandwiches are an indication, the (hidden) restaurant must be great as well. As Onglet is a butcher store, begane/ vegetarians might want to skip this place. The rest of you, have fun...

Super lovely place in the centre of Maastricht. Very varied menu, loads of unique flavours and combinations, very well executed and a true food journey. Loads of little sharing dishes that are brought consecutively, so this is a great place to go on a romantic date or when you truly want a long, nice evening (as it did take about 3 hours). Absolutely delicious though and highly recommend it!

Sometimes you find something that you did not expect and were not looking for, that just makes you go "wow!". That is what happened when I looked in the window of this deli, then when I tried some of their delicious food! The "Knabbelspek" (pork belly with magic done to it) is about one of the most delcicious things I have eaten. Just off the scale. That good!

What an incredible dinner experience this has been! The dinner feels surreal, like a private chef experience with the most delicious dishes. Great dinner location - modern decoration, good drinks and very nice food. The prices are quiet high, but still okay for Maastricht standards. Definite recommendation 😊.

Nice place with really good service. The staff is attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with beautiful decoration that adds to the overall dining experience. The restaurant offers a wide range of appetizers that can be shared or enjoyed as a main course with multiple small dishes. The ceviche was really good, while the tuna was just okay—lacking a bit in flavor and overpowered by sauces like wasabi mayonnaise. The butter beef was good, and all dishes were beautifully presented. While the prices felt a bit high for the food quality, the overall experience—thanks to the ambiance, beautiful decoration, service, and presentation—makes this place worth a visit.

I really enjoyed my visit to Noon. The location and ambience is great. Couple that with good food, quick and friendly service and you’ve got the ingredients for a lovely time. I enjoyed everything I ate. It was presented well. Only drawback I’d say is the foie gras appetizer is teeny ! Recommendations and attentive service balanced that miss out. Definitely a spot I’d recommend.

Very delicious food, drinks and a great location. Ideal for a drink outside if the weather permits. Tremendous service and food. The environment is stylish but cozy. Since we placed our reservation on short notice, we only got seats at a bar, but as soon as a table was available, we were asked if we wanted to move. We had starters and mains and the food was innovative and so so delicious. Afterwards we had cocktails, which were also perfect but not overpriced. The waiters were very attentive. It was another great evening @Luster for my wife & me! We also invited a friend from Aachen & she was very impressed too. We all will come back again next time we're in Maastricht ...
Diet C — Google review
While it is a shared concept dining , I found that slightly difficult to follow. Compared to other such similar places, the menu framed it as a starter and main course. When ordered as such, the staff seemed unclear on what we intended to do. The starters were very good, the mussels and Korean chicken were done great. The main courses were slightly less impressive, the duck was good but the sauce was a bit excessive. The dumplings were ok. The cocktails looked nice conceptually, but ended up being quite excessively sweet. It would be 4 stars if not the high price.
Hubert M — Google review
The two chairs were full of hair or fur... The presentation of the dishes was not bad. They were not spiced at all what is ok when you have salt and pepper on your table. We wanted to ask waiters for bringing us spices, but they were too busy by talking 3 of them and by ignoring us. The cherry on the top was hair in the dish of my husband and the bone in my filet of the fish. The portions are too small for the paid price (ex. Only fish with the sauce is 25.50€, fries = 6€). I would not recommend it!
Марія П — Google review
Really nice food and atmosphere, waiter was kinda rude though 😔 Also I don’t know if it’s customary but what kind of place makes it a requirement to order drinks even if you’re getting food? Maybe it’s just a culture shock but I’d keep that in mind if I were to go again.

Always a fan of shared dining and this place does it well with slight improvement points. The taste of the food is great. Everything is well balanced and dishes flow into each other perfectly. Next to that portions are pretty decent! Presentation is also great, but sometimes a bit less practical for sharing. A lot of dishes would work well as a serving for a single person. But the shared aspect makes it so you can try everything. It’s like trying food from each others plates. It is slightly pricey, but the service is pretty darn good. Very friendly, service oriented, but could do with a slightly more human touch. Having a server be a bit more connected just makes food taste better. But that’s obviously a personal preference. All in all, a very nice place with very nice food. Close to 5 star. If I could give it 4,5 I would.

Food was delicious and staff was very friendly. As we took the 4 and not the three course menue we were expecting to get enough to eat. It was a surprise menue to share, and the surprise was that that there were one or two items of each thing for three people… This was unexpected and disappointing, especially regarding the price of 56€ per person. But, again, it was delicious and everything else was good

Actually the place is not bad but I found the food is average in terms of taste , I order ceviche which was very mild ( no lemons ) the bread was not baked enough. The Adna Wagyu has a mediocre taste. Any how the staff was very friendly.

Food is overpriced and not good at all. Meat is not tender and the flavours don't blend in at all. Just the service is okay that makes it bearable. Overal if you wanna throw away money for a low-mid dinner it's fine.

Had one of the top 5 burgers of my life here, and it was just their classic burger with cheese and bacon. Really cozy spot, really attentive and nice staff, and the food was not only incredibly tasty but the kitchen did a great job managing a lot of big orders at one time; my burger came out as hot as it could have been.

If you ever crave a burger when you are at or close to Maastricht, look no further and make your way to Burgerlijk! Their burgers (especially their Wagyu burgers as shown in the pictures) are hard to beat! And did I mention their sweet potato fries? Pair these crispy pieces of heaven with their delectable burgers and you will most certainly be in for a treat! Cost-wise, the prices are more or less par for the course for most restaurants in the Netherlands; getting one of their juicy burgers along with a helping of sweet potato fries and a drink will set you back a little below 25 EUR. While this restaurant is definitely not the cheapest, I still find myself frequenting Burgerlijk for its delicious grub! Overall, I recommend Burgerlijk to anyone who loves a good burger! Aside from the amazing food, the restaurant has some of the kindest waiters and its interior exudes a very cozy ambiance.

Nice little place in the heart of Wyck, cafe style, with a small menu with enough options for all (veg, allergies). The service is very friendly and casual, a bit slow at times but the delicious burger (the classic with all the toppings!) made up for it. Notice that you just order a burger, average price €15,- and all the sides are add-ons. (Fries, sauce, salad)

I have been asking for my missing payslips for months on end and the owner has been ignoring me. Very shady and illegal stuff is happening in this place and it needs to be checked by the authorities. The rats are crawling all over the kitchen, the management is not taking health concerns of employees seriously, and the food itself is rotten and still served. (This is from the past experiences of old employees, now the reality could be different). Be aware when visiting that your money is supporting a very deficient and unethical business environment.

Restaurant Maastricht, eetcafé Minckelers, is a cozy and hospitable eatery named after the inventor of the gas lamp. Housed in a 400-year-old monumental building on Markt square, it offers an extensive and varied menu with separate options for gluten-free and lactose-free dishes. The restaurant features high ceilings, impressive chandeliers, an open kitchen, and a lively bar providing a dynamic backdrop for Chef Frank van Thiel's seasonal cuisine.
We went for early dinner on a weekday evening and the place was quite empty. The place has comfy seats and the vibe is nice. Friendly and polite staff. Food arrived accordingly and I must say the salad and fries tasted surprisingly good. The satay was nice, except it would be better if they use meat with more fat instead of just plain, lean meat, which was quite dry.

Everything was perfect. We ate burgers and they were delicious. I really recommend the avocado burger. Great selection of beers too. We ordered the burgers as medium, but you can also choose large. The portions were so big, if our burgers were medium size I wonder what the large looks like. Anyway, worth visiting!

We recently visited and encountered very unpleasant experience. Upon receiving our order, we found a hair in the food(looks like ball hair💀) When we brought this to the staff’s attention, they responded with a dismissive “Oh, okay” and did not even offer an apology. This lack of concern for customer service and hygiene is unacceptable.

Tried a traditional Maastricht dish: Maastrichts zuurvlees, sweet and sour beef stew. It’s an interesting dish and was quite filling with fries and salad. Since the sauce is sweet, it was too much to eat. Place was quite crowded and the service is pleasant.

SOFA Maastricht is a delightful restaurant located on the picturesque grounds of Kasteel De Hooghenweert. It offers a delectable selection of dishes, including fresh daily fish, lobster-filled ravioli, and venison steak. The restaurant boasts a charming interior and provides stunning views of the lush surroundings. Guests can also enjoy dining on the terrace during pleasant weather.
Great restaurant just outside the city. Stunning surroundings with lots of greenery and an historical castle adjacent to the restaurant. The food is always amazing. Service was excellent.

Mixed feelings about this. The food was wonderful but the duck was not up to expectations. I've had much better. Knife provided didn't cut the meat well. But the rest of the dishes were fantastic

Very accommodating with our dog, good service by English speaking staff and nice food. We will return, thank you for making our stay special

An excellent family-friendly restaurant serving amazing food. The staff is very friendly. One thing we disliked is too much physical contact from a waiter like a pat on the back or touching a baby's face; this should not be allowed and especially not amidst a global pandemic. All in all, we were very happy and will be coming back.

Amazing Evening! Great food, great Service! Awesome location
Marcus S — Google review
This restaurant is beautifully located just outside of Maastricht, along the Maas, at the yacht harbor. A small vineyard and nice landscaping make finish the beautiful scenery. The menu is not too extensive but offers choices for fish, meat and vegetarian French cuisine style dishes. I was particularly impressed with our salmon starter. The flavours were amazing and we love salmon sashimi. The main course was also well prepared, both the pork and the tenderloin. Both the starter as well as the mains were plated nicely. Dessert was excellent as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. Expect to wait 20min between courses. Prices are slightly above average for Maastricht but their 3 course set menu is priced very friendly. Expect to spend a little over 100,- for a full set meal for 2 persons, depending on your drinking habits of course.

Sofa restaurant is located on the beautiful grounds of Kasteel De Hooghenweert, but not part of the same business group as the hotel. The Sofa restaurant has beautiful settings, both outdoor as indoor. It is a true pleasure to spend time here on dry summer afternoons and evenings. One day we had lunch and the next day dinner in the restaurant’s outdoor area. Quite a lot of people on both days, mix of locals and tourists, and you could tell that people did travel on purpose here. All food and wine we tried was delicious. Service very attentive, professional, while pleasantly informal. I would highly recommend this restaurant when in the Maastricht – Aachen – Liege area and planning a small detour.

This is one of the best restaurants I have visited the previous period. It is located beautifully in an isolated area close to Maastricht. Upon arrival the staff welcomed us and offered the house cocktail (Balon 43) which tasted really good. We took the 3-course menu with cheese as desert. We asked if there was a possibility to get the steaktartar as starter. The waitress couldn't promise but would try. We received a delicious steak tartar. Also the main course of meat was excellent. All in all, this diner outside was just excellent and the staff contributed to that for sure. Would go here again! Ps the vintage Tawny port of Croft is absolutely recommended with the cheese.

Italian restaurant
Store
Vino&Friends offers a delightful experience for wine enthusiasts and those who appreciate the Italian way of life. The restaurant, owned by Fabian Wijering and Bas Lenoire, presents a carefully curated selection of wines accompanied by classic antipasti, homemade pastas, and delicious secondi. With a different three- or four-course menu each month highlighting various Italian regions, guests can embark on a sensory journey in an inviting atmosphere.
The service is probably the friendliest around Maastricht. The entire place is nicely decorated and the winter garden provides great light throughout the day. We took the 3 course menu which starts with a selection of appetizers. We had both the bream and the tagliata as main and we can only recommend both. Finally the dessert offered a cheese platter or homemade ice cream. Thumbs up for both again.

We recently visited a solid Italian restaurant in Maastricht and overall had a pleasant experience. The food was good – nothing groundbreaking, but definitely delicious and well-prepared. Each course offered a nice variation, from antipasti to dessert, which kept the meal interesting. However, the portion sizes were a bit on the small side. That said, the service was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly, and recognized details without needing to be asked, which added a lot to the dining experience. Their professionalism and warm attitude really made us feel welcome. It's a good spot if you're looking for a cozy atmosphere and solid Italian cuisine with great service.

Food 3 | Service 5 | Atmosphere 4 Food is mediocre, nothing special or impressive. The dessert is particularly nice though. The beef is a bit over cooked and rough. The ravioli is a rather bland. The time between courses are very long, we spent about 3.5 hours to finish a 4 courses meal!!! Service is great! The servers are attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is rather nice, love the skylight in the sitting area!
James L — Google review
From the moment you walk in you feel the Italian generiosity. The staff speaks Italian amongst each other, joking and bantering, adding to the atmosphere. We chose the 5 course "surprise" edition, after ticking off some dietary/allergen questions (none in our case). Portion size was good for each serving and packed with flavour. Overall the food is of high quality and cooked wel. The recommended winepairing (from the affordable subset of the extensive winelist) matched perfectly with the flavours on the plate and our own preference. We spend our entire evening there, with a decent (slow) pacing of courses. You need to make a downpayment upon making a reservation; about 15€/pp; which is settled with the bill.

Nice little Italian restaurant The antipasti were the nicest : would litteraly only take only that in bigger. Pasta were nice but simple Meat was OK Service a bit too slow : 3hr for a 4 course meal Price : not democratic: 90€/pp with 1 bottle of whine and 1 Aperol Spritz

Best Italian restaurant in Maastricht (and probably NL). Superb staff with a very good knowledge on the amazing collection of wines. Food was incredible. Do try the TAGLIATA DI MANZO CLASSICA (Mibrasa grill)! Atmosphere was great! A-location in city center of Maastricht. Highly recommended!
Titus V — Google review
Was very looking forward in trying out this place due its good rating. Service is excellent & the vibe is nice. However, the food is overrated. Taste is OK like any regular Italian place, nothing special. In my opinion, the price vs portion for antipasta is way overpriced. For the steak, unfortunate only from 1kg order.
Blossom — Google review
Food was great, just the steak was missing flavour. Service was very good. Have some interesting wines and cold cut meat. The design of the restaurant is very nice. Just one thing, we were sitting at the back in the corner of 2 big windows and it was cold there, seems to be some draft. Could not spoil the evening though, will return.

From delicate appetizers to sumptuous desserts, each course promises a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that captivate the senses.
I’m traveling here with my girlfriend and while she was working, I decided to pop by Cinq for a nice lunch on the patio. It was amazing! The house made ginger beer (not a drinker) was perfect. I had the ceviche and all of the flavors were on point with a nice kick of spice. I ordered the rack of lamb next to it was tender and flavorful. The staff and patrons were also very friendly. Just an absolutely perfect lunch. Thank you Cinq!

We discovered this precious little gem by coincidence and we were thrilled by the location directly at the border of the river Maas in Maastricht. Beautiful mediterranean-like atmosphere with a luxury touch. Friendly staff and a delicate menu. The food is awesome and we really had a very pleasant early night dinner.

The food was very expensive and the price was way higher for what the quality and quantity would have you expect. I got a pasta dish with lemon sauce, peanuts and asparagus and for 22€ it was underwhelming. Barely any peanuts on that dish! Overall, I would not recommend this if you are hungry and want good value for your money

Delicious food and realy fast service. Definitely recommend the pork belly if its on the menu. The beef tournedos is also fantastic. I am typically not a fan of French wines, but our server was patient and successfull in having us try some delicious wine that paired very nicely with our dishes

I visited your restaurant today and ordered the Caesar Salad listed with chicken. However, when the dish arrived it also included fish and bacon ingredients that were not mentioned on the menu. As we do not eat bacon for personal reasons, we were unfortunately unable to eat the salad. We would kindly recommend listing all key ingredients on the menu in the future to avoid misunderstandings. Thank you.

Okay restaurant, but extremely rude staff (esp mid-aged light bearded guy who waited our table) and waited for main course for over 90mins (although we came well after rush hour). We asked to try a bit of draft beer, and were told they are busy. When asked for our food status, were told that we had appetizers with implication that it was okay for main course to take 90 mins. We asked to split bill between 2 cards (4 people), again received attitude that they are busy to do that for every table. It’s okay to say no, but you don’t need to scold your customers when you do so, and own your mistakes when you fail to deliver reasonable dining experience.

Best Thai food I have ever had in my life. The atmosphere is also fantastic. One of the best restaurants in Maastricht.
Elli — Google review
Food came out way too quickly, clearly pre-prepared and not fresh. The €25 Pad Thai was the worst I’ve ever had. It lacked the usual flavor, with no peanuts, no sprouts, no fresh lime, and was just coated in a red sauce. The vegetable fried rice had barely any vegetables and was completely dried out. I would not return.
Rebecca — Google review
Unfortunately a very loud restaurant that gets very crowded. The food is decent, yet too oily, and the sautéed vegetables lack in flavor. Although nicely plated, the portions are quite small in comparison to the price. Would not visit again.

great restaurant! the food is really good and very tasty! the portions are very generous. the quality of food follows the price; it is not cheap but it is completely worth it! the service is excellent, all the waitors are nice, approchable and helpful. the food also came pretty fast. the ambience is astonishing. with the dark wood decorated space and dim lighting, it’s truly a place perfect for a date night but also for an excellent meal with a larger group of people. definitely recommend!

Excellent location, superb service and very attentive. The waitress was so kind and friendly too. For food perspective, it is more of a “localise” version of Thai food (I personally prefer spicier kick) but overall taste was acceptable. The only downside was the noodle soup that I order, the portion tend to be a little lesser than I was expecting.
Juno T — Google review
My friends were exited to try this restaurant. I was a little bit more skeptical bc I grew up in Thailand and know the authentic flavors. The Michelin Star gave me hope and I was very optimistic to give it a try. We ordered: Satay Kai (chicken satay) Tod Man Pla (fish cake) Som Tam (papaya salad) Yam Won Sen (spicy glass noodle salad) Kaew Tiew Moo (clear broth with noodles and pork balls) Keanu Kaew Wan (green curry) The first 4 dishes were a hit. Very flavorful but very mild in spice level. In all fairness, I didn't ask for more spice. My friends are not used to Thai spice level and it was perfect for them. The Kaew Tiew was a no go for me. This is a street food stable and childhood favorite. When a restaurant puts it on the menu, the expectation is to nail it 100%. I left it almost untouched. The green curry was a let down as well. Green curry should be.. well, green. It was not and the flavor was just off. It doesn’t look like or taste anything resembling a green curry. However, the ambiance and service was great, and the waiter very attentive. We provided the same feedback and the restaurant took the soup off our bill unasked. I would say this restaurant is a good alternative. Giving the benefit of the doubt, maybe the chef just had an off day. I’ll give it another try as the appetizers were delightful and delicious.

This place is always nice to sit. Simple but good. When on the other side of the river it's a good place to have a drink or two.
Emma G — Google review
I am no drinker by any stretch of the imagination and never go out drinking in the UK because basically - pubs - which ones are left because a lot of them are closing down, are not the most inviting of places, especially if you are not a local. They can be quite hostile if you are not a local but when walking past Zondag one night during my stay in Maastricht. I saw happy people having a nice time on the outside tables. So, I thought I would take a chance and I ventured inside to have a beer. The bar was staffed by three friendly guys, service was swift and the beer was good. My beer was actually served in an old fashioned British pint glass with a handle - something I hadn't seen for at least 30 years in a British pub. So, I was taken to my environs immediately. So, when it came to payment. Their card reader wouldn't take my card and the friendly barman shrugged and said cheerfully 'We have problems with British debit cards unfortunately' and I said 'well, I have a Chinese debit card, let's try that!' which made him laugh, it made me laugh too as it had less chance of working than my British card but actually, the Chinese debit card kind of works OK in the Netherlands but it is a bit more hit-and-miss than my British bank card as you can imagine (for the record - we tried the Chinese debit card - it didn't work!). The way the bar staff at Zondag dealt with this problem and the solutions they offered impressed me so much that I am on here writing about it and am happy to give them full marks for their service, friendliness and understanding. Thankfully, my British debit card started motoring on the second attempt and I managed to pay for my drinks. What would have happened in the UK if that happened? Maybe death, dirty looks, comments about my dearly missed, deceased mother? More than likely! The chilled out response from my friends in Zondag? Doubtful! So, full marks to all staff at Zondag! Thank you for your understanding and may you have many more happy evenings with your wonderful patrons.
Carlos W — Google review
A nice place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. I really appreciate their wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks - it's not your usual Coke & Sprite. Their kombucha is especially tasty (really sour). The food is also pretty decent, I tried the tortilla de patatas - it was nice but a bit bland and cold. The only thing that really bothers me is their service. I went several times and they barely come to your table once. After that they never come back, even if they are not busy at all. It seems that they do not really care about the customers, which I find annoying. If it weren't for their bad service, the place itself deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, it ruins the whole experience, so if you don't mind, give it a try.

Tasty Thai is a delightful eatery serving appetizing Thai cuisine. Situated on a charming side street, it offers an alternative dining spot away from the tourist attractions in Maastricht. surely my top restaurant in maastricht. the food is incredible, best thai food i’ve ever had ! the service is excellent as well, all the waitresses are super nice, welcoming and approachable. the prices are fair for the portions! the space is beautifully decorated and very vibrant. the atmosphere is always nice, with the place being good for dates and more intimate gatherings but especially great for larger groups of people and chatting! highly recommend :)

On a day in Maastricht - me and two of my friends decided that we wanted to have Thai food. The reviews were great, the pictures of the food was convincing. So we decided to give it a go. Great ambiance, attentive service - clear menu and choices and I was happy to see that it said “if you want your food spicy, then tell us” - so I was like ok this food can be Thai spicy *Exciting*. And when I asked our server to make the food spicy, he says oh our sauces are premade so I’ll see what we can do. We ended up ordering one starter and 3 mains. The starter that my friend had was amazing, it was the Tom Kha Khai soup! Super light and absolutely yummy. The rest of the food was disappointing, looks wise amazing! But taste wise SWEET - like almost eating a desert without any umami/saltiness to balance the flavors. If they can fix it, then it’s an amazing place to go! Otherwise unless you like sweet Thai food - I wouldn’t recommend it.

Very good and delicious food, so amazing, it was the best one I had in Netherlands (I only tried this one Thai restaurant actually :p, but so good). I booked the table like two days ago, but they arranged us in a small corner, while we order so 5 dishes for two ppl, so it was not enough space. They serviced food like two round, we waited for the second round for a bit longer time. I don’t like this. But the service was good.

For me it wasn’t really worth it, the place is cute and the staff is super nice but it feels they surf on the vibe of what’s trendy instead of investing in the quality. We came to Danyel as part of our first visit to Maastricht. The city offers a lot for culinary experiences, but Danyel caught our eye fast - and it didn’t disappoint. Restauranteurs Danyel and Mariska are kind, inviting and great at their game. Restaurant offers only course based menus, you can choose form 5 to 8 courses - great for sustainability (no waste) and creativity of the chef. We had a umami style salmon sashimi starter salad, followed by a fish based vegetable soup. After came pan seared cod with saffron pumpkin puree and followed by a second main, a picanha with grilled veggies and a fantastic jus. The jewel of the night is the one pictured: homemade chocolate ganache and melon ice cream with salted caramel nut base. What a finish. All of our meals were paired with great wine thanks to Mariska and service and discussion felt like we visited a friend - and other customers were feeling the same. All and all, a great experience overall - and the food is amazing too! We’ll be back for sure :)

We went last weekend to celebrate our relationship anniversary to restaurant Danyel. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very attentive, starting with Chef Danyel who came frequently to our table to explain the dishes and to know if everything was going well. There is no fixed menu, just just tell the chef at the beginning how many dishes you would like (between 3 and 8) and if you have allergies or food preferences. We opted for fish/seafood options as we dont like meat very much and the 4-course option and everything was exquisite. Danyel worked in the past at some of the best restaurants in France (Paul Bocuse in Lyon and Haeberlin in Alsace) and we felt almost home by eating at his restaurant. A place to recommend.

I can see why this place no longer has a Michelin Star. Although the courtyard setting is wonderful, and the food is OK (not great, but not bad), I felt mis-treated. In spite of ordering a six-course tasting menu, plus extra caviar and a wine pairing, I felt rushed out of the restaurant so that the staff could eat before the next shift. That's not how someone at a top restaurant expects to be treated. I have also eaten at Beluga and Tout a Fait on this trip, and both were wonderful. I had previously eaten at Au Coin, in its better years, and the comparison is not favorable. I will never go back. Customers need to be appreciated.

Truly excellent dinner experience, the restaurant has a exquisite seasonal and regional menu which will surely entertain your tastebuds. For the quality and amount of dishes the price is also surprisingly fair! A real must-visit. We had an intimate group dinner which was perfectly accommodated for in the smaller corner section or the restaurant. We will surely come here during our future wedding anniversaries ☺️

Chinese restaurant
Wen Chow is a popular Chinese restaurant in Maastricht, known for its authentic and diverse menu. The cozy spot offers dishes like spicy Sichuan chicken, savory Mongolian beef, hot and sour soup, crispy sesame chicken, and flavorful shrimp fried rice. It has gained a reputation for serving truly authentic Chinese flavors in a traditional yet unpretentious atmosphere. The restaurant is frequented by locals as well as acclaimed chefs.
Restaurant Review: Wen Chow in Maastricht A Culinary Highlight of Cantonese Cuisine A day trip to Maastricht ended with a memorable culinary experience: dinner at the Cantonese restaurant Wen Chow. Making a same-day reservation for a Friday evening was surprisingly easy—already a good indication of the restaurant’s efficiency. Atmosphere & Service Upon entering, the traditional Cantonese decor immediately stood out. The lighting was pleasantly dim, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. There was no background music, but this did not detract from the experience; the thoughtful table arrangement and warm ambiance more than compensated. The service was exceptional. The staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and remarkably attentive. One waiter, in particular, stood out for his humorous and charming approach, adding to the overall positive experience. Service was swift and efficient—there were hardly any wait times, requests were fulfilled immediately, and special requests were accommodated without hesitation. The staff maintained a perfect balance of attentiveness, always nearby without being intrusive. Food & Drinks The menu offered a wide selection of traditional Cantonese dishes at surprisingly reasonable prices. The inclusion of pictures was a helpful touch, making it easier to navigate the choices. The starters were outstanding—perfectly seasoned, well-balanced, and incredibly fresh. Even for someone who prefers saltier flavors, there was no need for additional seasoning. The sauces provided at the table complemented the dishes beautifully. The main courses continued to impress with their freshness, quality, and elegant presentation. Even the dessert, a carefully plated ice cream dish, was a delightful highlight. The drink selection was standard but perfectly adequate. The house-made iced tea was particularly well presented and a refreshing choice. Price-Quality Ratio The value for money was excellent. Given the high quality of both the food and service, the prices were more than fair—if anything, slightly lower than expected for such a top-tier experience. This alone makes Wen Chow a place worth returning to. Final Verdict Wen Chow excels in every important category: atmosphere, service, food, and pricing. The restaurant is an ideal choice for romantic dinners, business meals, and family gatherings alike. With its perfect combination of superb cuisine, outstanding service, and a welcoming ambiance, Wen Chow receives a strong recommendation. ⭐ Overall Rating: 5/5 Stars ⭐ A must-visit for lovers of Cantonese cuisine in Maastricht—and certainly a place worth revisiting.

Decided to try out something new with a friend and we were not disappointed! The food was amazing, the tofu was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Even though they didn’t have a lot of vegetarian options the ones they had were amazing! The best part is that we ordered 2 different options with fried rice, but it’s made in a way that you share all of it, so we got the best of both worlds! Surely coming back :)

Great place! Loved the food. Stuff was very kind. Tried cha siu , crispy pork belly, steamed shrimp dumplings. All very tasty. Would visit again

The dim sum was PHENOMENAL. We ordered the deep fried dumpling with pork, steamed rice roll, half plate of roasted pork belly and duck (comes with rice), and siu mai. Everything was flavorful and authentic, with great texture.

Very cozy restaurant with really authentic and super tasty Cantonese cuisine! For me personally one of the best Cantonese restaurants in the region. Admittedly, the interior is a bit reminiscent of a Chinese restaurant from the 90s. But it has its own charm! Service employees are also very nice and helpful. You don't have to wait long here. But you shouldn't sit for long - haha. But don't worry, you have enough time to eat! I can definitely recommend the platter with mixed meat, pork and duck, very tasty! Or the mixed guts! Unfortunately there is no 奶黄包, but the dessert is also very tasty!
Veit B — Google review
Ask for the Chinese menu! They have more options than the western menu. Dimsum was decent. Some items were better than others but overall it was a nice lunch 🥪 4.5 stars overall
Daniel — Google review
In general the food was decent, duck was perhaps the only highlight. Fried pakchoi with fish slices (as written in the chinese menu) was not what was expected as fish slices you would expect usually proper marinated white fish slices and not just fish cake which is super artificial. Additionally, paying extra 5€ for "fish slices" does not justify the price. Dimsum quality could also be better, and the fried rice noodles were thick and not what you would usually get at chinese restaurants. All in all would not recommend this restaurant for people who are looking for authentic cantonese food.

Lunch restaurant
Rumors is a popular bar located on Koestraat, known for its vibrant nightlife scene. While it's not a dancing spot, it's perfect for enjoying drinks and conversations. The bar offers a smaller but more affordable selection of cocktails, featuring all the classic favorites. Visitors can also enjoy sitting on the terrace in the Jekerkwartier area and watch the lively street scene of Maastricht.
Rumors was the 1st restaurant I dined in at my trip to Maastricht and I had a great experience: + Service is super friendly and fast. + Food and drinks are very delicious and on point (I had the smoked salmon sandwich and a Pornstar Martini with Prosecco). + Atmosphere is very relaxing. You can sit inside or outside at the terrace between beautiful architecture. + Decoration looks very lovely with the flower in the gin bottle. Many thanks to the whole Rumors staff 😊 🖤🍀☀️🌈🦄✨

I ordered a Hamburger but it was totally rare like a rare steak! I couldn’t eat it at all! The taste was awful! The dish had chips with parsley as sides and it was terrible too! The staff were friendly but I will never go there anymore!

I came to the Rumors Bar for an Old Fashioned, and this was made to perfection. Brenda made the syrup from scratch and ground in the sugar with the Bourbon, 10/10. My second drink wasn't on the menu, a Manhattan, and this was perfectly made.

Disappointing service, sat down and ordered a meals and sides with non alcoholic soft drinks. Waitress then refused to give any tap water citing this was only given to those having alcohol and that to have tap water we would first need to have an alcoholic beverage! What a joke! Avoid! Explains why they had empty tables and others didn’t. Plenty of other fabulous places to eat in Maastricht no need to waste time with this one, plan ahead and book in to avoid places like this- we wish we had! - try Wyk End for example

Good cocktails right here! 🍸 The space is very cozy and has a better display on the back. (Try to get on of those seats). It’s always very busy, so don’t take to much to order, otherwise it’s gonna take a long time to arrive. We asked for Expresso Martinis first, then wine, and beers. The martinis were unbelievable! Truly recommend for pre-drinks.

Cozy atmosphere, good food and friendly service. Beautiful place on a busy street. You have lots to look at.

Excellent little cafe/restaurant! It's located in one of the many narrow streets of Maastricht, away from the immediate hustle and bustle. The lady working there was really lovely, friendly and chatty! She also knew exactly what I wanted without me even needing to ask ("another glass of water?" "The bathroom?"). Decent prices for generous portions.

I love coming here for cocktails and some bar snacks. My favorites are definitely the peach sour (which I have yet to find a better one) and the fried eggplants with honey. I am not familiar with the dinner menu but it is nice to also sit on the terrace when the weather is good.

Restaurant
Perched atop the Eiffel building, Bold Rooftopbar offers stunning views of Maastricht while you savor a delightful meal or sip on cocktails. The bar opens from midday, serving up excellent coffee and lunch options, and transitions into an evening hotspot with a diverse dinner menu and an extensive selection of cocktails. Situated in the developing Sphinxkwartier district, this hidden gem provides a unique experience in a historic industrial setting.
My friend and I had a lovely meal together. We enjoyed fries with truffle, a Caesar salad, and beef carpaccio, accompanied by two glasses of wine. The atmosphere outside was incredibly cozy, making the experience even more enjoyable. It was my friend’s first time trying these dishes, and he absolutely loved them. If you have friends or family visiting Maastricht for the first time, I highly recommend this place!
Duygu Y — Google review
I gave it two additional tries after the first visit in hopes the poor customer service the first time was a one time event. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the fantastic views are not worthy of the very poor customer service. I would pay the high prices for mediocre food for the view, but the way we were “greeted”, and served our drinks and food made me feel frustrated each time we left. It almost feels like they don’t actually want customers coming to their restaurant. There are many places in Maastricht that have beautiful view (on ground level) with fantastic customer service and food.

Food really good, really nice location. However it took them 40 minutes to take our food order at lunchtime. We had to ask them to come and take our order. When the food came it was wrong so they took it away and then had to bring it back correct. The food was very tasty when it did arrive.

The view is amazing, we had a very beautiful sunset last time! Workers are friendly service is fast. The nachos are our fav and the drinks are okay! But we think some dishes/drinks are a little overpriced, I guess you pay for the vibe:) It's an enjoyable place!

The food, cocktails and view are great. But what really made our experience unforgettable was our host, server and entertainer Lexi. Thank you so much for adding your spark to our amazing evening.

This rooftop bar offers a fantastic setting with beautiful views, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed evening. However, I’d recommend avoiding peak hours, as it can be difficult to find a spot then. The drinks are well-made and enjoyable, but they’re a bit on the expensive side. The food is also tasty and nicely presented, though the portions are a little too small for the price. Overall, it’s a great place to unwind, but be prepared for the premium pricing and timing your visit wisely for the best experience.

Café De Pieter is a small, charming artist's café located in Maastricht. It offers a diverse and lively atmosphere, where patrons can enjoy dancing on the small dance floor, sipping on beer and wine at the bar or wooden tables, and engaging in spirited conversations.
This place was fantastic on a sunny afternoon. We sat outside across from the city, the old city wall built around 1280. The server was fantastic. He was hilarious knew his beer and food. I would definitely suggest giving it a shot.

This place is beautiful, set against a lovely old stone wall with a charming atmosphere. It’s the kind of spot you want to linger in. Unfortunately, the owner/lady's attitude makes that difficult. We were planing on eating here but she seemed annoyed by our presence, and gave off a strong “you’re not welcome” feeling. A real shame, the location deserves better hospitality.

Cocktail bar
Nestled in the heart of Maastricht, Mr. Smith is a hidden gem renowned as the finest cocktail bar in the Netherlands. What sets it apart is not only its expertly crafted cocktails but also its unique setting within a hidden cave, seamlessly blending history and modernity. Accessible only by reservation, this clandestine bar is discreetly tucked away behind a large blue door with cocktail shaker doorknobs and a doorbell inscribed with 'press for drinks.'
Underground like cocktail bar. One of the most unique bar we had in Maastricht. Reserve before you visit, no visible sign outside of the door so you need to be careful when you ring the doorbell. Then, staff will bring you in and introduce you the drinks. (They are cute and super nice!) Great spot for friends gathering, late evening can get crowded but Definitely recommend it. 🥰
Juno T — Google review
Mr. Smith is a hidden cocktail bar in Maastricht with a great atmosphere. The entrance is easy to miss—you have to ring a doorbell to get in, which adds a fun and exclusive touch. Once inside, the space is cozy, stylish, and dimly lit, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed night out. The cocktails are top-quality, with interesting flavors and a lot of attention to detail. The bartenders really know what they’re doing and are happy to recommend something based on your taste. Prices are on the higher side, but you do get great service, and they also serve drinks with water cups and popcorn, which is a nice touch. One thing to note—they are very strict about reservations. If you book a table, make sure to be on time, as they won’t hold it for long. It makes sense given how small the place is, but it does feel a bit rigid.
Betül — Google review
my first time exploring this spot and it didn’t disappoint at all. the drinks are perfectly balanced—kicky but super smooth. the place itself feels really intimate, with just the right music volume (so refreshing since some bars go way too loud). overall it gives off a cozy speakeasy vibe. definitely will come back here
Meldea M — Google review
A cozy cocktail bar with a speakeasy, living room feeling. Service was great. The waitress was knowledgeable, helpful and attentive, and you're served with complementary sides of chips and popcorn. Quality of the cocktails was excellent. We do a lot of mixing ourselves and visit cocktail bars wherever we go, so we recognize a good cocktail when we taste one. This was definitely up there. I've seen some reviews complain about the prices, but we thought they were very fair for how small scale the establishment is and how good everything was. This is simply what a decent cocktail costs. While we got in without a reservation, we would recommend making one considering the size of the place.
Bert B — Google review
THIS IS THE BEST BAR I’VE EVER BEEN TO!! I love the vibe, the drinks and the staffs!! The staff that served us were friendly, knew a lot about cocktails and very professional. I love the concept and the house rules. We were indeed not using our phones, just had a great time talking and enjoying the delicious cocktails. It was also a nice touch that they offer unlimited water! This place is one of the reasons why we want to come back to Maastricht again! ♥️
Nhi D — Google review
This is a cocktailbar, delicious cocktails. There are a lot different kind of cocktails and they are all good. It is a small place in the basement. One thing you have to know when you are planning to go for a drink… when you use the gps and you are at the place you will not see the signs.. you will recognize it on the door handle … it’s a must .. good to experience it. It’s better to make a reservation …. I would say … enjoy your drink!!!
Ingra D — Google review
Be prepared to be lost in the street looking for the place - don't miss out the door nº55 with the buzzer for drinks! One of the best "to-do" in Maastricht. Starting with the "secret bar" experience, to the friendly and experienced service that gave us many recommendations and was really fast on delivering the drinks. Regarding these ones, were extremely well done, and suitable for the price, served with some snacks. The place itself is a basement with vintage items and small tables. Perfect for a date, pre-drinks, or just a cocktail night. Truly recommend!

Il Bacaro is a charming Italian "bar e cucina" located at the renowned Vrijthof Square. The restaurant offers a delightful Italian dining experience with a touch of Maastricht's essence. Their menu features cicchetti, traditional Venetian snacks served in wine bars for centuries, perfect for sharing.
If, like me, you never eat at the restaurants on main squares, then, like me, you need to make an exception for Il Bacaro. It was recommended by my host in BE41, with the guidance that it was an exception and he was right! As an opportunity to enjoy people watching in a lively spot, while enjoying a good Italian dinner, this is a real pleasure. Good food, nice service, lovely setting.

We have ordered tagliatelle with ragu. And they served spaghetti bolognese without informing us due to the fact that they had no tagliatelle. When i asked the waitress for it she said ‘doesn’t your friend eat this?’ Like a joke. Hugo was not bad at all. My penne alfredo was not really fresh, sauce was just okay. Tables are placed really close to each other as people bumped them accidentally several times. But the atmosphere is cozy kind. In general when the taste you get is considered almost everything is overpriced. Not recommended.

I will strongly recommend this restaurant if you want to find to eat, you will not be regret. The seafood spaghetti, steak are very tasty and delicious, then choose tiramisù and coffee as ending. What a wonderful life.

We had a great lunch here, the location is really nice and you have direct view of the square. Both salads we ordered were delicious and had plenty of flavour. Staff were also friendly. I would recommend placing the tables with a bit more space in between, especially on a warm day like today :)

Reserved a table for 4 because of quite good reviews. Food was OK but nothing exciting, thus portions quite small for the asked price. Good wine, so overall OK. Waitresses not too attentive and seemed not to be too happy with their job. Would not go again thus.

IL Bacaro servers Italian tapas and is an absolute gem in Maastricht We ordered: fried sardines that were crispy and flavorful, chicken thighs that were tender and succulent, and the assortment of Italian meats was a treat. The spaghetti carbonara is a creamy indulgence that will have you coming back for more. IL Bacaro has great service - friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or just looking for a memorable dining experience, IL Bacaro delivers on all fronts for me.

Came for the bolognese, and it was the star of the show. However, the portion was a bit underwhelming as it was 12 euro+ for something akin to a kid's size. The chicken with tomatoes was cooked perfectly. The one downside I wasn't expecting from a restaurant like this was that they charge for tap water unless you order alcohol. We ordered two entrees and an iced tea, but still we were told we'd be charged for tap water. Personally not too fond of restaurant policies such as these.

Asian fusion restaurant
Dadawan Maastricht is a specialty restaurant known for its outstanding culinary delights, particularly the stone bowl or bibimbap available in six delicious versions. The fusion cooking at Dadawan combines the best of Eastern and Western cuisine, offering a delightful dining experience. Despite being close to the station and having a takeout place, it's recommended to dine in due to its fancy yet inexpensive nature.
The food was amazing, the best Asian-fusion food I’ve eaten. The portions were huge and the prices were very okay. The vegan chicken poke bowl was so yummy! Dessert menu is okay but I wouldn’t recommend it. Some servers were a bit moody but others were nicer.
Begüm A — Google review
Most of the dishes are very tasty..though not 100% authentic. Still, no complaints, especially at these friendly prices. I've had the stone bowl, the poke wan, curry and stone plate before. The only one that ever was a bit disappointing was the curry, which for me was too far off from the original Japanese ones. Today I had the spicy tonkotsu ramen and also tasted the spicy miso ramen. The first one (spicy tonkotsu) really tasted a lot like a kara miso ramen. It was delicious and I'll definitely order it again. The second one (spicy miso) was tasty as well, but for some reason didn't remind me of miso ramen 😅. The focus group of this chain restaurant seems to be younger people, students, so not a place for a romantic dinner. The fact that you get your order within a few minutes confirms this. Practical, fast, tasty, good price. Service is generally in English, friendly. Atmosphere is a bit modern, fun. Good for all occasions, but not for something special.. unless you are maybe a student. Conclusion: highly recommended for a quick and very tasty Asian bite.

Had to wait for 10 minutes before there was a place on a Saturday night. After we said down the waitress asked if we were familiar with how this restaurant works, we said no, and then she didn't explain. But after we found out we ordered online, a bit to much but hey, we did that ourselves ;) The food was amazing, they had so many different options from all over Asia, we loved it. Cocktails a bit on the strong side so that's a good compasation to the weird interaction with the waitress at the beginning!
Milnwatt — Google review
The restaurant was recommended from our hotel friendly staff who loved the stoned bowl. We were order beef and prawns. Love the favourite but prefer prawns not butter dip fried and little bit more spicy hot sauce like Korean bibimbap. Next door is take away
Cindy H — Google review
My favorite place to eat in Maastricht, and one that I come back to every time I visit. Definitely order the stone plates or hot stone bowls, but I’m yet to find something I didn’t love on this menu. If you’re in a rush, get it to go next door, but if you do show up around dinner time there will be a wait at the door. Luckily, ordering is fast for your table using your phone, so you’ll get your food in 10min upon ordering.
Samuel Y — Google review
Dadawan offers a dining experience that balances modern flair with efficiency. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, creating a stylish and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the meal. While the vegan options are somewhat limited, the vegan burger proved to be a satisfying choice, well-prepared and flavorful. Service was notably quick, ensuring a smooth visit. A unique highlight is the occasional use of a robot server, which adds a fun and futuristic touch to the experience. Overall, Dadawan is a great spot for those who appreciate a well-designed space, fast service, and an innovative dining concept. Expanding the vegan selection would make it even stronger, but it already leaves a positive impression.

The place is really big so even though there were many people we were seated immediately. The food arrived to the table very fast. Sushi was great, but not as cold as it should have been. Tapas bar
Café Madrid is a cozy tapas bar located near Vrijthof in Maastricht, offering a variety of Spanish tapas dishes as well as other delicious options. The restaurant is known for its welcoming atmosphere and flag-adorned entrance, making it a go-to spot for authentic tapas dining in the city. Visitors praise the tasty sangrias and attentive staff, although some find the prices slightly high for the tapas.
Ah, allow me to introduce myself – I am Avelino, hailing from the glorious land of Spain, and if you ever find yourself yearning for an authentic Spanish café experience far from the Iberian Peninsula, look no further than Café Madrid! It’s an absolute gem that mirrors the essence of my favorite local café in Spain. From the delightful azucarillos and mouthwatering biscuits to the exquisite coffee (Cantunambu), and even the invigorating gym (Larios) – it’s a piece of España right here! And let’s not forget the legendary churros – a true Spanish indulgence – all served with impeccable, top-tier service. The ambiance? Well, darling, it’s a solid 10! The vibe oozes that warm, welcoming charm we Spaniards are so famous for, and the location? Simply perfect. And yes, the staff speaks Spanish (the charming, blonde gentleman behind the bar is an absolute maestro), making you feel right at home with every sip and bite. Café Madrid is a true slice of Spain, and I wholeheartedly recommend it – 100% guaranteed to transport you straight to the heart of España.

In the restaurant, we ordered a charcuterie/cheese board, Iberian ham croquettas and a tortilla. The croquettas and tortilla were really excellent! Tasty and the tortilla was well cooked! As for the board, it contained products that were each more excellent than the last, from French, Spanish and Dutch cheeses to charcuterie, everything was very good! We had a very good moment with my friend! Thank you

Not welcoming place, they made us leave our table after telling us we could stay as long as we wanted. Will never return and will not recommend it to anyone. Seems foreigners are not welcome there. Sequence of events: 1. We arrived at the bar and asked one of the waiters if they had any table free for a drink 2. They asked us to wait so they could check a reservation 3. The waiter told us “the reservation has been cancelled you can stay as much as you want”. We were only going to have a drink, so we ordered 1 drink each. She took away the reservation sign that was on the table. 4. Halfway through our drinks another waiter came asking us to leave the table because “the people from the reservation had arrived”. We asked to allow us to finish our drinks, less than half left by that time but she did not allow us. Her proposal was to put our beers on a stool next to the door, bothering other people and with our coats on our hands, no place on the coat stand. We paid and left. Another couple arrived before we left, and they were told that their table was not ready because the clients had not finished yet, they were asked to wait whilst reading the menu. Could they not have done the same with us? Was the reservation not really cancelled? At this point I do not care, I felt that if I was a local, this would not have happened to us.

The service took too long bring our food, between the 2 plates took more than half ab hour, every time we asked for our second plate, they say, it is coming, even the restaurant was not full. Food was ok but the sangría no, I do not recommend, wine ok.

Belgian restaurant
Witloof, located in Maastricht, Belgium, is a unique restaurant known for its specialty beer selection and authentic Belgian cuisine. The interior of the restaurant was designed by Limburg designer Maurice Mentjens, adding to its charm. With nearly 400 beer options to choose from, it's a haven for beer enthusiasts. The menu features delicious offerings beyond mussels and beer, all prepared with passion and authenticity.
Superb Belgian food in Maastricht. Cozy atmosphere, and nice, attentive service. They served the best escargots I ever had, and the mussels were delicious, big, and juicy. They also have a HUGE selection of Belgium beer, including some rare kinds. Highly recommended.
Rolf W — Google review
I had a delicious dinner here while I was in Maastricht! All of their food is delicious. The rabbit was very good, a little sweet but it had plums in it so to be expected. My husband enjoyed his steak. They have 300 beers here and you can go inside the cellar to pick one out if you like. The staff are very friendly and nice. The atmosphere is great. It was crowded when I went, so a reservation is helpful. Overall I would highly recommend.
Toni S — Google review
I really loved the service and the food. If I could, I would give 6 stars 🌟. You can find a really large selection of beers and really delicious Belgian dishes. Please make sure to book a table in advance through the website. They are mostly fully booked.

The food was excellent, especially the salmon quiche! It was delicious. The beer variety is impressive, any beer enthusiast will find their spot here. The staff was also very polite and helpful!

When in Maastricht, eat Belgian food. When looking for an interesting restaurant to have dinner during a visit to Maastricht, we stumbled upon Witloof. I’m happy we did. The restaurant has a unique vibe and interior. Immediately you are greeted by the lovely staff. The menu has a variety of interesting dishes and a huge collection of beers. We started with 2 croquettes and complementary bread. For our mains we had the rabbit and the pork medallions, both cooked perfectly in lovely sauces. They were accompanied by a large portion of fries and a tasty gratin. I had 2 glasses of home-brewed jenever which I highly recommend. The food was delicious, the portions were big and the atmosphere was great. A mist visit when in Maastricht!

A place with an offer of 300 beers and AMAZING food. We had the Antwerp Beef Stew, the rabbit, and an entree the shrimp croquettes! By the way the Brussels Mousse for dessert is delicious

Awesome place, loved their welcoming attitude. Beer options more than you could drink in a month. The mushrooms 🍄😍 I could eat these everyday, awesome appetizer 😋.

Renee is SO charming. I love Witloof! The food is excellent, service is top notch and the decor is fun. They were wonderful with my 2 year old, Magnolia. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Maastricht.

Italian restaurant
Toscanella Apuana is an authentic Italian restaurant located in Wyck, offering a true taste of Italy in Maastricht. The ambiance and service make you feel like you've stepped into Italy, with Italian-speaking staff adding to the authenticity. The menu features homemade pasta, pizza, antipasti, various meat and fish dishes, and delightful desserts. The focus here is on delicious, pure, and honest food in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
I wish you could smell pictures because this is the best restaurant in Maastricht without doubts! The service is awesome. They take their time to explain you how the place works, to give you any recommendations or explanations. You can see that it's a family restaurant and although not every worker is blood related you can get the feeling of a family. It's an italian restaurant and as such all of the employees are italian, therefore the food is REAL italian and the products as well, if not local. The fact that they have day specials shows you how much they care about improving and trying new things for every taste. On top of it, this dinner was a surprise birthday celebration and they coordinated it perfectly to make it such an special moment. When the dessert was ordered they were told to put the candles on it. I'm so grateful to have done such an special dinner in this amazing place. It is a small restaurant so I will recommend to book before (by the time you arrive your table is ready). Definitely coming back to taste what's new 😋
Lucy — Google review
Very good experience and totally recommended for special occasions or for times you want to taste well made typical Italian dishes with some nice twists. The place has been recently renovated and it looks very elegant and welcoming. Every dish served was tasty, rich and delicious. Especially the Carbonara tartufata was a explosion of flavors. Also, Giacopo was super friendly with us and asked for special treatment for my pregnant wife that was also celebrating her birthday. We had as secondo a tagliatelle, but to be safe they divided it and made two dishes with different cooking points so tat both of us can enjoy it in a safe way. Lastly, they made us a special swan figure with candles to sing happy birthday. This was so sweet and beautiful. This place offers the best pasta dishes and Italian style meat I've tried in the city.
Nicolás A — Google review
Toscanella Apuana serves what is, without question, my favorite pizza in Maastricht. Like, chef’s kiss levels of crispy, chewy, tomatoey perfection. The pasta? Well… depends. Some dishes are a little too enthusiastic with the oil—like the chef is trying to personally fund the olive industry. As for the service: efficient. Very efficient. In the sense that the waiter starts cleaning your table the second your fork hits the plate, with the subtle energy of “please leave now.” It’s like dining in Italy, if Italy were in a hurry to close. Still, I’ll keep going back—for the pizza and the emotional thrill of eating under mild time pressure.
Floww — Google review
We had starter, and main I order Orecchiette alla Vongole. Orecchiette was really nice and love it, just personally not my favourite way to pair with the vongole. The focaccia is heaven and I can speak nothing about this. All on point. Wine was good, atmosphere was ok. So, I will definitely visit again if there is chance.
Juno T — Google review
I tried the classic lasagna and it was quite good and at a decent price too They also had a truffle lasagna, but since I'm not a big fan of truffle I let that pass However, I'm definitely going back to try other things from the menu It looked like they had a quite extensive pizza menu Sorry about the picture, it don't do them just since I took a piece of the lasagna before the picture
TERJE N — Google review
Pretty good. We've eaten countless pizzas and dishes of pasta here. This restaurant was one of our favorites in Maastricht. Reservations are highly encouraged.
Bill R — Google review
Loved the place and the staff. The food we ate was fantastic. We ordered pasta as first course, steaks as second. Top of the cherry the amazing tiramisu. We really enjoyed. It was a bit hot in the restaurant as a negative.

2-3 table of guests . First of all I was waiting super long for a cart . Then waiter was serving all the tables , even new guests arriving after me. But not me . I left the restaurant without trying food. I understand when it’s busy . But the place was almost empty…

A very lovely Christmas dinner. Seven courses with many small side dishes and drinks. An exquisite wine pairing. A relaxed atmosphere and super friendly service. We would love to come back. Best regards from Aachen.

Ever had food so amazing that it made you angry? Like, Restaurant 55 has figured this out, why can’t all restaurants get it? We had the chef’s three course and it was one amazing experience after another. Staff was so friendly and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended !!! Raw chickpeas were delicious 😉

Absolutely amazing, some of the best food we' ve had recently! The freshness of the ingredients and the unique flavors were unforgettable. Perfectly balanced dishes and beautifully presented. Also, the service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff was welcoming and attentive, ensuring everything was perfect without being overbearing, while they seriously considered our special request and ensured I had a safe and delicious experience. We will definitely return! ☺️

Visited with a group of 6 and chose the 6 course menu with wine, caviar and oyster to start with. Cozy ambiance with jazz music in the background. Staff is friendly and takes care of their guests. The duck was incredible.
Yannick B — Google review
They really deliver on their promise: 50% cosiness, 50% great food! Really recommended. Excellent wines too, surprising tastes and affordable compared to other fine dining restaurants. Would go back! They adapted the meal based on diet which waswonderful. You can do them a favor and let know in advance if you have allergies or dont like stuff like seafood, lamb etc.
Luuk R — Google review
Such a lovely restaurant! We chose this restaurant based on good reviews when we were passing by Maastricht after a weekend away nearby and I am so glad we found this little gem! From the aperitif & oysters, amuse bouche to dessert, everything was wonderful and creative. The hostess is very charming and super friendly, explaining everything in English and again in Dutch. Such a nice evening. Highly recommended!
E C — Google review
The staff is very rude. It’s insane how this place gets a 4.9 rating when they quite litteraly told me off. I’m very dissatisfied as I thought the food was going to be great too.
Antoine J — Google review
Delicious combinations, in a very surprising set of dishes. The menu is concisely indicating which ingredients to expect, but be prepared for the unexpected as you'll find your fish and meats done three times differently all competing for your f(l)avour. Martijn and Alison present their superb combinations without pretence or brawl. They just want you to have a great evening with really really great food and wines. Don't be fooled by the simple menu as you'll be surprised with a wonderful combination of food you can recognise (lamb, pork cheek, lobster) usually casually accompanied by the odd wink from the molecular kitchen. Whilst I am not a fan of the latter, 55 offers a great way to enjoy your traditional food in multiple ways and be genuinely surprised by the combinations on your plate. If you want traditional food; stay away. If you want superbly done amazing surprises on your plate; look no further. A great addition and unique to Maastricht. Bound to become a bucket list item by word of mouth.

Absolutely amazing, each exquisite dish besides being served like a piece of art came with a surprising element. The whole experience is fantastic since the moment you access to the restaurant until you leave. The chef explains personally most of the dishes, that again are simply exquisite. Everything perfectly combined with a delicious wine. Perfect evening! I give them 5 stars only because there are no more stars to give.

It was a perfect experience. 6 dishes course and a nice bootle of Vermentino. The dessert was fantastic!

We were unsure and then we weren't - the service started a bit stuffy/distant but it improved rapidly. The food was upscale/very good. We had 6 course but we're given small appeasers /appetizers before we were Sat and after we were Sat - both were enjoyable. The food was well presented and well explained - half wine accompaniment was plenty ( and the chef du partij at the table) was generous with refills. We met the chef and met the owner - very nice. Well done - we will recommend. Only one issue we had was that it was very....warm inside.

Eetcafé Ceramique is a cozy cafe located on Rechtstraat, one of Maastricht's charming streets. It has been serving meals since the 14th century and is known for its attention to vegetarian and vegan dishes. The restaurant prides itself on being one of the greenest in Maastricht, offering a variety of vegetarian and vegan options such as vegan rendang, chicory-rhubarb lasagna, and veggie sauerkraut.
Near to perfection ! The Food was so incredible that we went 2 days in a row there to enjoy one of the best Dinners of our almost 40 years
Manuel O — Google review
Where do I begin. This experience was a great disappointment for me and my family. We had booked weeks in advance for a graduation dinner party of 11. The service was good but one of the members were inappropriate. I was served the tomato soup for starters which was bland and sour. Much too acidic - 2/5 - I could not even finish. For the main course, I ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken. This was my own error because how could I expect a Dutch restaurant to pull off a meal like this? I blame myself. The chicken was simply inadequately prepared, the combination of flavours on the plate also did not make sense… I left it untouched. Presentation made it look appealing…. The desert which was a simple vanilla ice cream and warm fruits. It was ok. It is safe to say I will not be returning here. Other members of the party were also unsatisfied with their meals and shared similar reservations.
Shanice B — Google review
Absolutely amazing place. The food is exquisite, prepared with the freshest local ingredients. I have no idea how they made that tomato soup, or the beef stew that I enjoyed as the main course. I wanted to keep the taste in my mouth long after I had finished each dish. Highly recommended to anyone, especially for mixed couples that consist of one vegetarian and one meat eater, like me and my girlfriend.
Alexandre M — Google review
Very friendly. Stylish and classy menu. Had two courses and that was absolutely plenty. Beautifully cooked food great wine. 100% recommend.
Ian B — Google review
2021 update: what a disappointment, so much has changed. Now the menu is full with weird vegan and vegetarian things. Please go back to the old formula. I will not come anymore, my 5 stars go back to only 3 as being the average of 5 in 2018 and only 1 or 2 stars in 2021. 2018: Really nice restaurant which I always try to visit when in Maastricht. Friendly staff, good food for reasonable price. This time I took the 4 course dinner. Only the time between the courses was really long but for the rest it was lovely again. I will be back
Carola D — Google review
The food is amazing and the staff is really friendly and careful. It was an amazing experience. The next time we are in Maastricht we will definitely eat there again! They have really good vegan and vegetarian options, not only the convention ones.
Vinícius F — Google review
As other reviews indeed said: lot of veggie options. However, we expected more of it, tastes where not standing out for both our dishes. Service was good in the beginning of our stay, but after our main course no one come to our table for half an hour or so. We wanted a dessert and coffee but eventually decided to leave since no one asked us.

What a great find! Excellent food! Very exquisite and unique. Each item so delicious we couldn't decide which one was our favourite. The service was very warm and friendly too. Importantly it was clean. Highly recommendable!

Loved the food and service! Great vibe. We thought nothing could top the ‘buikspek’, but then the waiter advised us the coquilles. When the chef saw us enjoyjng it — the waiter was right in his implication — he kind of apologized: “we should not have let you end with that, because you should start with that actually”
Hannah S — Google review
This wonderful restaurant is located in the picturesque old town. The dishes are excellent, and they are all prepared at the counter in the middle of the restaurant in front of the guests. There is a sharing concept, although this is loosely applied. The service is very friendly, even when it's very busy and everyone is working at full capacity. Reservations are recommended.

Unexpectedly delicious! Had no idea at what I was about to try. Located on an anuassuming part of the city centre, this gem of a bistro serves one of the best and tastiest dishes, I've ever had. The personnel is lovely and very inviting as well. Overall one of the best places to eat at in Maastricht.
Andrei F — Google review
The food was delicious, and the staff friendly. The atmosphere was also really nice in a quiet part of the city. Unfortunately everything took a long time, it was difficult to catch the servers attention and our food say for a while before it got to us - so it was not 'hot hot' when it was served. However, it was a busy night for them with big groups- and the food really top notch !

This restaurant is always a safe choice if you look for delicious food and good vibes. I went there again yesterday with friends and we enjoyed the delicious croquettes, beef stew and risotto (must-have). Great service, highly recommended!
Margot F — Google review
What a wonderful place. So glad I was here. This is fine dining with a delicious twist on the good old Dutch Kroket, but better so much better. The croquette desert wit apple was amazing. The croquette with shrimp is to die for. The risotto perfectly cooked. Could not find flaw. Service amazing and attentive. Highly recommended.
Paul B — Google review
This restaurant is more than savory croquettes, and we can assure you with the sweet croquette. Unfortunately, we had to sit at the counter, but at the end was a good experience due to the closer service we got from the staff. As entrees, we asked for the curry soap, fries and croquettes. The start here was surprisingly the soap! For dessert we asked for the apple-pie croquette, which you can see by the photo, is extremely mouth watering, and it was delicious. The environment was calm, suitable for a group-dinner.
