Turris is a chain known for its slightly upscale ambiance and focus on quality. On the other hand, 365 offers affordable baked goods in a casual setting. Both cafeterias provide a modern and pleasant atmosphere for informal dining. Customers appreciate the great variety, excellent quality, and innovative offerings at Turris. While some feel that the staff could be friendlier, others enjoy the delicious sandwiches and coffee options available.

Baluard is a beloved bakery that has been delighting locals since 1892, and it's no surprise that there's often a line snaking out the door at any hour. Renowned for its exceptional bread and delectable almond croissants, this artisanal spot truly embodies quality without preservatives or additives. While the product itself receives high praise, some visitors note that the small space can feel cramped and less inviting for dining in.
Best place to have breakfast in Barcelona! Amazing service and excellent product quality. A must!

The place is very well maintained. The staff are friendly and attentive too. The breads are super fresh and all their breads, croissants are delicious.

Bakery
Tucked away in University Square, Forn Mistral is a renowned bakery known for its delectable mini croissants and rich history. Dating back to 1879, this family-owned establishment has garnered numerous awards for its commitment to quality ingredients. The mini chocolate croissants are a favorite among locals and visitors alike, perfect for enjoying on the go. Despite the inevitable queue at the door, patrons can expect that every treat here is well worth the wait.
Nice stop for lovely croissants and different pastry for breakfast. Enjoyed the coffee here too. Thanks for the experience! 😊
Shawn T — Google review
One of the best bakeries in Barcelona, the pastries are all so good and freshly baked. The only downside is how popular the café is, too many peope and queue, so I would reccommend to buy the pastries in the bakery instead of staying at its café.
Irene B — Google review
The greatest ensaymada crema cuita! Ordered 6-7 pastries and two coffees for around €12. Amazing authentic local pastries for cheap. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Brandon Y — Google review
One of the best bakery I have tried so far, this is an extremely popular location where locals and tourists alike come to enjoy the freshly baked pastries. You get the ticket at the entrance and wait to be served. I sadly won't have time to try each and everyone of their pastries and I wish I could, they are all super tasty
Stéphane L — Google review
All the food looked good. The server was so rude though. I asked if she spoke English. Then asked what something was. She rolled her eyes at me and was rushing me to make a decision, but nothing was in English. No need to rush me and be rude when there were no other customers in the shop. Definitely need to work on friendly customer service. I will never go there again.
Rachel B — Google review
We had some great ENSAIMADA CREMA CUITA for €2.05 (a pastry with cream) and TORTEN DE MASSAPA for €2.25 (a sugar bun with marzipan inside.) If you go upstairs, there's a cute terrace with seating.
Nik N — Google review
The ensaimada was good indeed, tasted some other savory bites and they were decent
Minh N — Google review
Had the best ensaymada here. Even though the place is very popular, the prices are still pretty reasonable

Nestled in the heart of Barcelona, Brunells is a historic pastry shop that has been delighting locals and visitors alike since 1852. This charming establishment pays homage to traditional Catalan pastries while also showcasing an impressive array of international desserts. With over 150 years of expertise, Brunells offers a delectable selection of cakes, from rich chocolate creations to refreshing fruit tarts and classic Catalan specialties.
This weekend, we treated ourselves to a delectable assortment of croissants from Brunells, and the experience was nothing short of heavenly! From their Lemon Pie croissant to their cheesecake, chocolate, almond, and regular varieties, each one was a delightful culinary adventure. Despite the fantastic flavors, the simple, regular croissant stole the show with its exceptional light, flaky crust, and moist, fluffy interior. It's no wonder they have been awarded "best croissant in Barcelona" for multiple years. Do yourself a favor and indulge in some croissants from Brunells – you won't regret it!
Suzan C — Google review
I got the Pistachio cream croissant and a jamon sandwich. The pistachio cream croissant could’ve been a little flakier and lighter but it was still good. Also they had the perfect amount of pistachio cream in the croissant. Also, the pistachio cream isn’t too sweet. The jamon sandwich was pretty good. It was flavorful. However, the bread was a bit dry. Overall this place was very nice and lovely.
Shane K — Google review
The coffee was very creamy and I tried the Cream filled Croissant. It tasted good. My husband enjoyed the butter croissant which is named as the best in Spain twice. I think it was great but I guess if they warm and serve, it will taste better. ✨😊
Binee W — Google review
They won the Spanish bestza croissant in 2020. In the tourist area. There will be many tourists. There are separate doors for dine-in and take-out. My favorite cream strawberry croissant. But I was told that there was no croissant in the last few times I went. The waiter will hope that you will leave early after eating. If you come to Barcelona, you can try it.
Linda D — Google review
My wife and I have been in Barcelona for the past 4 days. On our second day here we passed BRUNELLS and saw a sign in the window stating that they won an award in 2020 for the best butter croissant in Spain. As lovers of croissants we had to try Brunells’ butter croissants. After eating one butter croissant and one crema croissant (1/2 each) we both agreed that Brunells’ was the best we’ve ever had. We have come back each day to have another tasting and found their wonderful croissants consistently great. Best ever anywhere. This includes croissants which we have had in approximately 70 different countries, including France. So when you visit Barcelona be sure to stop in and try their croissants for yourself. You will not be disappointed. P. S. They make a great cappuccino also. Enjoy
Martin J — Google review
One more good place with amazing croissants! There are big choice of flavours, besides they have seasonal offers. Interior might be cozy and more stylish, so as a rule we take stuff to go.
Marina D — Google review
We bought three different pieces to try them, all of them croissants and they were very nice, I’m not sure if “the best”, but certainly very good. Three times the price of what they are in France 😅 or other places in Spain for that matter. It was very nice to know they have a cafe area where you can sit for a while.
Irene B — Google review
Two years ago was a better experience. In all sincerity I had this time the cake at 2 pm. Maybe it was too late… one can never know. The cakes are average. Unfortunately, the expectation were very high. The place looks a bit run down. I was looking forward to come back but a tad disappointed. UPDATE: We had as well an almond cake. It was quite unsatisfactory. To be sure that is not I, next day got the same type of cake from a local no-nonsense bakery. The later was more elaborate and better tasting, hands down. Quite unnerving given the difference in perceived standards.

Funky Bakers is a beloved bakery that has gained popularity as interest in local cuisine grows. The bakery is certified by the 650-year-old bakers union, Barcelonas Gremi de Flequers, making it one of the oldest social societies and unions in Spain. With three locations, including a deli in Eixample, Funky Bakers offers artisanal bread and pastries made with care and expertise.
The BEST pain au chocolat in Barcelona, no doubt! We tried some of their bread too (home bun?) and it was absolutely flawless. Everything is fresh and tasty and I want to try more pastry options for sure. The service was a tiny bit slow but on the bright side, it’s nice to see people not rushing the orders!
Silvia P — Google review
Loved both things I took! Avocado/Rucula sandwish + Fig pastry, and even came back for seconds. I’ve been trying to find a bakery that tastes as good throughout Barcelona, but to no avail, Funky Bakers is where it’s at. Def recommend.
Alicia B — Google review
Honestly one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever had! Funky Bakery absolutely nailed it — light, creamy, and perfectly balanced. It’s decadent but somehow not too heavy, which makes it dangerously easy to eat the whole piece aloneeee 😅 The vibe of the place is chill. If you’re in Barcelona and love cheesecake, you have to try this spot!
Ishmeet D — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The best cappuccino I had during my few days in Barcelona! ☕️✨ Located right next to the stunning Santa Maria del Mar basilica ⛪️, Funky Bakers is more than just a bakery — it’s an experience. 🥐💫 They have unique and delicious pastries, super friendly staff 😊, and everything is served fast and with a smile. If you’re in the area, don’t miss it — the perfect stop for a cozy and memorable coffee break. 🤍🤭

Yes, you can find other places that are "less expensive" however this place is super solid. I had to come back for lunch because their sandwiches are just incredible. The best sandwich I ever had in my life and I am not a sandwhich person. I live in Chicago and its probably silimiar in price for a sandwhich back home from a local small business Cafe. Great location. 10 out of 10 recommend.
Ashley T — Google review
Best cheesecake I’ve had so far. Agree that it’s better than Joncake. Having their cheesecake with coffee was one of the best meals we had on our visit to Barcelona. Still thinking about it now, wishing we could try more of their desserts! Don’t miss Funkybakers!
Ina B — Google review
Best basque cheesecake in Barcelona! Was super yummy and thoroughly enjoyed the smooth and creamy cheesecake!
Shion K — Google review
On our way to Barceloneta Beach, we decided to grab some sandwiches and have breakfast by the beach. We liked the sandwiches so much that the next day we went back, tried different ones, and also picked up some croissants. We even grabbed chocolate pastries for lunch. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this place to everyone. The staff was incredibly helpful and sweet. When we mentioned we were tourists, they recommended some great spots to visit. Thank you for everything! <3

Escribà is a renowned patisserie located on Las Ramblas in Barcelona, with a history dating back to 1906. The owner, Christian Escriba, is known for his innovative and creative cakes and pastries. The bakery offers beautifully packaged treats that make perfect gifts. Despite limited suitcase space for tourists, it's worth visiting to sample their range of delicious pastries, explosive cakes, and sweet jewelry.
Pedro was the most gracious server. He explained the menu and helped us find several gluten free items. Unfortunately, we couldn't resist the beauty of the pastries. It's a wonderful patisserie. And the cava was delicious, too.

Amazing cakes. This is a VERY high-end cake shop. Cakes made to order. Customise it how you like. Just don’t expect it to be cheap. They do breakfasts and lunches too. A wide selection of off-the-shelf cakes and sweets available too. This place is historical and its reputation not only exceeds it but it is well deserved. Wedding, birthday and cakes for all occasions. You won’t be disappointed… even if you are a little poorer.
Scott C — Google review
Stopped by Escribà and had a really nice moment thanks to Bruno. The croissants were delicious, and his kindness made the visit special! a small thank you from the Persian customer you met today.😌
Maahin S — Google review
Coffee not the best ever, but the cakes!!! Not as expensive as they could be, and absolutely delicious. I chose what I thought was a fairly simple one, a biscuit filled with pistachios. Melts in your mouth . Going to treat myself again very soon
Shirley — Google review
Pricey AND very disappointing. For 2.20€ a croissant, you’d expect a very good one. It was pretty bland and dry (low on butter judging by the smell). The cappuccino was pretty bitter, not a good coffee. But the worst part of the experience were the almond croissants. I don’t know what they slathered inside but it was definitely not the traditional frangipane and my stomach went upside down. To me, it smelt and looked like raw custard (and if this is what it was then it’s a health hazard for pregnant women and people with a weak immune system). In any case, very unpleasing biting into that unaware. Went straight to the bin.
Lila C — Google review
We loved this place so much. We were in Barcelona for five days in a nearby hotel and every day we came to Escriba. Delicious place! Everything is made with care and professionalism and the result is special and original. The service was great. On the last day, we saw how a video was being filmed in honor of an upcoming holiday and we got to see the people who are responsible for the desserts. We felt the beating heart of the place.
Racheli D — Google review
The service was so nice, la Crema Catalana was fresh, delicious and a fair portion for the price! Do recommend!
Livia — Google review
Exceptionally bad service. If you are a group - you are warmly welcome, however, if you are a single customer they welcome you for take aways only - they don’t apply business logic and they don’t estimate that some single customers might spend more than a group. So yes, the negative reviews before this one are quite accurate

La Colmena, formerly known as Ca lAbella, is a historic patisserie in Barcelona that has been serving traditional Catalan pastries and cakes since 1849. The fourth generation of the Roig family now runs the venue, offering an array of elaborate cakes, chocolates, cookies, and savory snacks. The patisserie's commitment to preserving its century-old recipes ensures that customers experience authentic flavors from the past.
Dessert in the morning of course. This bakery has been around longer than your family drama, over 100 years, to be exact. We had the xuxu, which is pronounced like shoo-shoo. It’s a sweet, cream-filled pastry that was basically an early morning hug in dessert form. Think flaky outer layer and vanilla custard happiness inside.
Sara G — Google review
The pastry culture in Spain is very different from that in Turkey. This is an old pastry shop. The products are like homemade. They won't surprise you when you eat them, but I still think you should definitely go and buy something. The products I bought were delicious.
Gastroservet — Google review
A lovely old bakery in El Gothic Quarter with the best xuixo in Barcelona! Crispy outside, creamy inside, and full of flavor. The place has so much charm and history a true local gem you shouldn’t miss.
Mehdi N — Google review
Oh, you absolutely have to check out this adorable bakery tucked away in the heart of old town Barcelona! It’s perfect for a leisurely stroll through the Gothic Quarters. The menu is a feast for the eyes! We tried the “Bulgar De Trufa” and “Sacher,” and wow, they were absolutely delicious. The texture was just amazing, and the taste stayed with us for ages! I’m already dreaming of going back.
H K — Google review
Finally got to try xuixo de crema from this popular patisseria. In fact, my first bite upon arriving in Barcelona. It wasn’t as sweet and silky as I had initially imagined and thankfully for that, I didn’t feel as guilty finishing one up while still having appetite for dinner afterwards. The staff were cheerful and very efficient despite the long queues. Definitely worth trying the other goodies they have on offer.
Francis D — Google review
OK, maybe this place is a bit touristy, all the tour groups seem to be stopping by, but they have a lot of traditional pastries at reasonable prices; Xiuxo de Creme, Croissants and Palmiers and Coca de Llardons are my favorite. Get something sweet and a coffee and sit on one of the benches outside the Jaume I metro station. and watch the people go by.
Brian S — Google review
Not sure why people raves about it. Everything seems mid, 1 xuixo de creme, 1 orange chocolate rocky road, 4 alcoholic truffle chocolates cost over $10”. Nothing amazing and nothing special. Would give it 3 stars for the things we got, but given the variety, i’m leaving it as 4 stars for the review of the store
Alice H — Google review
Yesterday I bought an enacasada con crema y nata and it was amazing. 5 out of 5. Lot's of filing inside. Today I came to buy it again and I'm extremely disappointed. This enacasada has just a drop of cream, the rest is just dough. It's nothing compared to yesterday's. I wouldn't pay 3.5 euros for just a piece of dough.

JonCake is a popular spot in Barcelona known for its creamy and flavorful cheesecakes. Founded by Jon Garcia, who left his engineering career to pursue his passion for pastry, the place offers unique and tasty cheesecakes that leave customers impressed. While there's no seating available, the grab-and-go concept allows visitors to enjoy their cakes on the move or at nearby cafes. The Basque cheesecake comes in various flavors, including classic, chocolate, and others made with different types of cheese.
A hidden desert place that has Cheesecake as their main item. Unlike typical cakes this one melts like a Brie cheese. The consistency is unlike any other cheesecake I have ever had. The texture and taste is very different with a almost burt top and beautiful flavors. Not as sweet as American style cakes. Very tiny store with standing room for 4 people at best. Coffee was also very good which I needed.

2025/09 The Basque cheesecake was very good with a strong, rich flavour. We chose the classic one and really enjoyed it. There was a long queue, but we only waited around 15 minutes, which wasn’t bad. However, if you have to wait much longer, it might not feel quite special enough to justify the time. Still, a great treat if you catch it at the right moment!

The cheesecake here is incredibly creamy, rich, and perfectly baked with that slightly caramelized top — simple but so delicious. The flavor is just right, not too sweet, and it melts in your mouth. The shop itself is small but cozy, and you can really feel the passion behind their desserts. Definitely one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever had in Barcelona!

This was the best cheesecake I’ve ever had in my life and if anyone tells you otherwise, they’re a fool. Going back tomorrow. Update: I came back again and may need to return a third time. So far here’s my ranking: 1) classic: creamy, balanced, earth shattering 2) chocolate + coffee: amazing and slightly bitter dark chocolate flavor - didn’t taste very much coffee 3) brie: incredible, melty flavor, slightly less sweet than the classic 4) salted caramel: delicious, sweeter than the above three

Don’t expect the Cheesecake Factory when you try Joncake. There are no toppings, and the texture is extremely airy and creamy. The flavor profile is also surprising, quite savory and cheesy in nature. We tried three different flavors – gorgonzola, pistachio, and classic. The gorgonzola version was way too cheesy and strong for me, but my wife loved it. I particularly loved the flavor of their pistachio cheesecake. There is always a long line up front, but it moves very quickly. Yes, it’s a very touristy spot, but it’s well worth it.

This is the best cheesecake in the world. I am not exaggerating. I don’t even like cheesecake and I fell in love with this one from the first bite. The cheese is ever so subtle and the cakes have the consistency of a soft ganache but not overly sweet. A perfect balance of texture, sweetness, tartness of cheese… beautiful. Come early and queue. They sell out fast!!! Must try the choc cheesecake. You must!!
M4l2K T — Google review
It was well worth the 30min wait in line. Best cheesecake I’ve ever had. Mind blown with how creamy and umami it was without being too sweet. Melt in your mouth creamy delight for the senses. Line up situation could be better organized as it can block the street. Questioned if it was worth the wait, but boy oh boy I wanted to jump back in line to try another. Cakes are sold by weight so get as big or small of a slice as you like. Cheddar beer was surprisingly amazing. The salty flavour worked so well. Their cheesecake lives rent free in my mind. Never had anything like it outside of Barcelona. Fishmuler makes a decent gorgonzola cheesecake that’s similar in texture and flavour, but this one is next level.
Justine Y — Google review
If you’re in Barcelona, you cannot miss Jon’s Cheesecake. Its the most yummiest of cheesecakes I’ve had. I was blown away. Its priced at 35€/Kg and you have more options like chocolate and coffee, salted caramel and gorgonzola which i believe was a limited edition. Go before 5pm and do try the traditional one

Origo is a laid-back locale that specializes in homemade bread, baked goods, and specialty coffee. The bakery sources ancient grains for its rich-flavored breads, with a commitment to sustainability and organic ingredients. It's known for its delicious pastries like cinnamon buns and twists. Located in the Gracia neighborhood of Barcelona, Origo offers a charming atmosphere and tasty offerings while contributing to a sustainable environment.
If you’re searching for a delightful bakery experience, look no further. I recently visited and indulged in a couple of their pastries, and I can confidently say it was a treat for the senses. First up was the chocolate croissant, and it was simply divine! The moment I took my first bite, I was struck by how incredibly soft and flaky it was. The pastry had the perfect balance of buttery goodness and just the right amount of rich chocolate filling. Next, I tried the cinnamon twist, this pastry was a delightful blend of sweetness and spice. I was genuinely amazed by its deliciousness; it’s no wonder so many people rave about it! The coffee was rich and flavorful, providing just the right kick to balance out the sweetness of the pastries. If you’re in Barcelona, I highly recommend stopping by to indulge in these amazing treats—you won’t be disappointed!

The hotel we stayed at in Barcelona recommended this place! We went one morning for a pastry and it was so good!! I will be going back! There was a small line but it went fast and 100% worth the wait!

Small coffee and pastry shop in the Gracia neighborhood. Coffee was excellent as well as the pastries. Be warned there is no indoor seating so you place your order and your coffee is freshly made and given to you through an open window like area if theres a line inside. Unfortunately the morning I went it was slightly raining. Overall excellent food and service, I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

Came here twice during my early-October visit to Barcelona. Loved the coffee and the pastries — fresh, flaky, and perfect for a morning walk. There’s no seating so it’s takeaway only, but honestly that made it even more fitting to grab a cup and pastry and wander the streets. Definitely worth stopping by.

Excellent coffee and bakery in Eixample. The croissants and cappuccino were amazing. Well priced and very tasty. It's a to go place so be prepared to sit nearby on some stairs or enjoy it while walking.

My new favourite bakery in Gracia area. Located in a beautiful quite street, they have the best pain au chocolates. The staff is very kind, the coffee is good, the variety of the pastries is great. I would appreciate a little area or a bench maybe to enjoy my quick coffee with croissant moment but that’s okay as it’s close to several squares.

On Sunday morning we went to this place which is rating so good. But we are so disappointed. First of all super expensive compare to quality. The quality of the dough of croissants are not matching the price of it. At the end we ordered three type of croissants and didnt enjoy. Although the coffee was okey.

Visitors rave about the first-rate bagels and excellent coffee, making it a lovely spot to relax and savor both the baked goods and beverages.
Stepped in here on my first day of my stay in Barcelona and it was the perfect way to start my trip. It’s such a cute cafe with the loveliest and friendliest owners/staff, and to top it all the coffee and pastries were also 10/10. Highly recommend!

Little bakery/coffee shop tucked away from Diagonal. Good for parents as kids can play in the playground while they grab something to eat/drink. Avocado toast was average but expensive. Lemonade was fresh and not overly sweet, i loved it. My partner ordered coffee which was a disappointment after hoping for a barista/specialty coffee seeing Nomad brand displayed.

A really nice neighborhood cafe and bakery tucked into an urban garden way. The coffee drinks are amazing - they use great beans and have super delicious pastries and small bite sandwiches. The service is amazing as well, with such a friendly staff. I always breakfast here instead of at the big hotel across the street. Highly recommended.
Machinima A — Google review
The staff and service are top notch. However I am not over the fact this place sells half sandwiches . If you see a 1/2 bikini sandwich on display for around 4 or 5euro, please not you will be paying for half a sandwich and not a full one. I know Poblenou has gotten gentrified but this is a stretch...

The establishment prides itself on its unique doughnuts that stand out in the city.
Delicious place! Beware of the smell as you come in. It will seduce even the strictest of diets. We had the curros with chocolate and it was yummy. Not too sweet and expertly made!
Melis E — Google review
I have tried the black forest cake. Sometimes gluten free cake can be a bit try and rough. This one was very moist and the amount of cream was perfect. It was about 8 euros which is fair for good gluten free cakes. The portion was good. It is actually bigger than how it looks on the photo. They also have a decent coffee. No washroom.

I’m a big cheesecake lover, and this place did not disappoint! I tried the pistachio one, it was delicious, with a soft, well-balanced flavor. The portion is big enough to share if you want. There are a few tables inside, but it’s also very convenient to grab it to go.

Handmade wonderful pastries and chocolate. You can watch them make it so you know it is true. I had a cheesecake with pistachio cream and it was delicious. Soft, creamy and moist. It too sweet and with real pistachio taste. The bottom was soft but crunchy. The cappuccino was nice.

I stopped by this place during my trip to Barcelona for some dessert and was blown away by the amazing range of pastries. The highlight for me was the pistachio cronus — beautifully presented, with a flaky, airy exterior and a soft, delicate inside. The icing on top tied it all together perfectly. Absolutely delicious! Highly recommend checking this place out — they also have vegan options.
Seulki C — Google review
Lovely woman behind the counter let us sit even though it was close to closing and she even brought us water. The vanilla cake with berries might have been my favorite dessert in Barcelona. The caramel cheesecake was good. We also had a cookie, which was too sweet for my taste, but my husband enjoyed it.

Amazing! We got Donut with Kinder, it is really good for those who like very sweet ( I am one of those ). The other thing is called Rolie, it is a biscuit with raspberries and inside there is cinnamon rolls. Amazing! Not that sweet but really nice and smooth. I recommend this place. The coffee was also very good!

The desserts here are mouth watering, delicious, and elegantly presented. The vegan options, in particular, are stunning—not just an afterthought as they often are elsewhere. A beautiful patisserie - the interior feels so luxurious and everything looked stunning. Turned up on an afternoon in September, no queue and plenty of available options. We had the pistachio egg and chocolate moon - both incredible. Highly recommend a visit!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stumbled upon Hoffman completely by chance, and I’m so glad I did! I ordered the pistachio and the ravioli, and both were absolutely divine, but the pistachio was IT! 🤩 Estefania was incredible!! she took the time to explain each dessert and even pointed out the best sellers, which made the experience even more special. You can truly see the artistry and care that goes into every single creation here. The desserts aren’t just delicious; they’re a true work of art. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t regret it!

Pastries were good! Life-changing? No. But yes, if you're in the area, give the pastries a try. We had the famous mascarpone croissant and a chocolate pastry as well which was very crisp. Both were good! There was a bit of a wait getting inside just because the shop is quite small, but staff move quickly.
Maezel C — Google review
Went there on our last day in Barcelona to look for the chocolate Madelines.. simply addictive! We also tried the raspberry croissant (a bit too tart for my taste) and the strawberry cheesecake croissant (nice fillings but the sugar encrusted croissant was a bit too sweet). Service was friendly and helpful!
Monica T — Google review
By now I came here multiple times and must say, that all of their pastries are extraordinary! When you walk in you feel like in a gallery with pastries instead of sculptures (in fact they do look extremely artisanal). Go to place to get your partner a treat! I recommend the cinnamon roll!
Thomas P — Google review
I first visited Hofmann four years ago and the croissants were absolutely unforgettable. This time, I went back as soon as I arrived in Barcelona, but unfortunately the flavor was not the same. They weren’t bad, just rather standard, and not worth waiting in line for. The almond filling was overly sweet for my taste. Also, there’s no place to sit, so it’s more of a quick takeaway spot than a café experience.
Volkan O — Google review
I was worried this TikTok inspired visit would be more beautiful than delicious but it was well worth the trip. The volcano was slightly difficult to eat without a proper fork but still delicious. Pistachio pastry (not the pistachio shaped one) was heavenly. Limit of six in store made it so nice to choose as well.

Demasié is a trendy modern bakery in Barcelona, known for its vegan cinnamon rolls, oversized cookies, and flavored coffees. The shop offers scrumptious biscuits, creative cookies, and savory crackers presented in elegant packaging. They specialize in a variety of cinnamon rolls with unique flavors that resemble more of a donut than the classic roll. Additionally, they offer delicious donuts with equally delightful preparations as their cinnamon rolls.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best cinnamon rolls in Barcelona—period. This spot offers a wide variety of cinnamon rolls, cookies, and cheesecakes, but the cinnamon rolls steal the show: they’re the best I’ve tried in the city. Today I went for the pistachio cinnamon roll. I still prefer the classic, yet this one absolutely delivers—bold pistachio flavor, rich topping, and exactly what it promises. Prices are very reasonable, making it easy to come back and try more flavors. The shop is spotless and modern, with a few tables if you want to eat in, though it’s clearly optimized for takeaway—perfect for a quick breakfast, afternoon treat, or dessert on the go. If you’re in Barcelona and love bakeries, start with the classic cinnamon roll and then explore specials like the pistachio. Totally worth the visit.

Overrated and rude staff. Tasty cinammon buns true. But three times I went there, not a lot of options. It’s you and your luck I guess. Tried red velvet cookie. It’s good but honestly can find it anywhere else. Tried the caramel iced latte, TOO MUCH MILK and almost no coffee, when I asked her to add coffee, her and her colleague to light I didn’t speak Spanish or understand it… well guess what … I did. They mocked and then they laughed and look at me up and down. Mean girl energy …. Anyway OVERRATED. Mean staff just rude, no smiling, they order super quick don’t even give you time to do anything really … Won’t go again
Lyna Z — Google review
Very big and nice variety of pastries. Apple cinnamon roll was really great, very soft, not overly sweet, with nice contrast of sour apples. The cookie was not great. It was a vegan cookie so I would give their (non-vegan) cookies another chance. This one was very hard on the outside and the jam was not tasty enough. But nice place with a park nearby where you can enjoy your pastries.
Anđela M — Google review
After spending all day in Barcelona getting trampled by tourists at the Gaudi buildings this is a great place to stop for a piece of focaccia, some giant cookies and a beer. Big selection of delicious fluffy chewy focaccia topped with a variety of excellent ingredients. Cookies are big and sweet, can't each just one. Good location one of the main streets. Grab a piece of focaccia and wander the narrow streets down to the beach.
Brian S — Google review
“Expectation: wow! Reality: meh.” Stopped by Demasié for their famous cinnamon rolls. Expectations were high, but sadly they didn’t live up to the hype. As you can see from the photo, the presentation wasn’t exactly mouthwatering, and the taste was around a 6/10 for me. A bit dry, not that fluffy warmth you’d hope for. Maybe they’re amazing when fresh out of the oven, but mine felt like it missed that golden window. Nice concept, but overall… not approved (at least this time). Probably wouldn’t go back unless someone guarantees a freshly baked one.
Fabrice B — Google review
Absolutely loved this place! We tried the Nutella Pistachio and Kinder Bueno cookies—both were wow! Super soft, rich, and just the right amount of sweet. We topped it off with some fresh orange juice before heading back to explore Barcelona, and it was the perfect treat break. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the city and craving something delicious!

Most amazing vegan bakery I've ever been to! WOW... this place is an absolute gem, so many different, freshly baked vegan pastries, cookies, muffins, cakes & desserts it's to die for. We went there twice during our stay & my partner had been previously a few years before. We got a chocolate muffin, banana & toffee cream muffin, empanades, a tirramisu filled croissant & a cheesecake pot - all were DELICIOUS. Highly recommend going here even if you're not vegan (but especially for the vegans!) The staff were also super friendly, it's a family run business by vegans <3 amazing!

This is a takeaway only place serving a variety of vegan cakes, cookies, tarts, and more. After seeing rave reviews I had high hopes for this! Maybe I just didn’t get the best dish but the chocolate tart was alright, not amazing. It felt more like an icing sugar based thing than a ganache which is what I was expecting from its appearance, and overall was a bit dry with the large crumbly biscuit base. However the staff was lovely. It would be more helpful to have labels because as each customer came in she had to go through every one again. Also currently you cannot pay via card only cash or bank transfer (not sure if this is easily accessible for foreigners).

Super cool place in the heart of Gracia. Vegan and tasty cakes and pastels. I tried one with dulce de leche and fruit and it was really nice although very sweet. I couldn't eat it all but nice really. The prices are around 5 euros each piece. The staff is amazing, so nice and kind and helpful. The ambience is cool in Gracia style

“Amazing pastry” falls short. Everything is vegan so you go in expecting to find things that go well with vegan cuisine. But hold on to your shoes! Big surprise when you try some of their delicacies and they taste the same or better than non-vegan ones! The “alfajores de maicena” are spectacular (although with a touch more lemon; but nothing compares to those made by your grandmother or your mother, right?). Cookies are also a delight.

I ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday. I asked for it to be two-tiered because last year there was only cream on the top, and it felt like I had just decorated a dry sponge cake myself. A proper cake should have cream layers inside, not just cake plus cream. When I went to pick it up, there was a huge, exaggerated, overly puffy cake, as big as you see om photo. The person who handed it to me treated me like a "tacky" customer. The cake was so heavy that when I asked for a bag, they said the box was enough. Guess what happened? The cardboard tore, and the cake fell to the ground. A Catalan lawyer who was passing by with his dog helped me and insisted that I file an official complaint. I went back to ask for a correction. I’ve been ordering from you for about four years. I’m tired of the repeated mistakes and the mocking attitude of the gentleman there. I didn’t file a complaint against you, but if veganism weren't involved, I wouldn't support your business.

Good place to go if you have a sweet tooth. Everything is vegan. Staff really friendly. You can‘t sit inside, but there are places around the corner, where we sat on a bench and ate in the sun. We ordered a chocolate croissant, a carrot cupcake and a tiramisu (in a jar). Overall good, but both the croissant and the cupcake were a bit dry, the frosting a bit too sweet for our taste. Will definitely come back for some cookies and update this. The owner mentioned they have a lot more to choose from on the weekends.

The bread with raisins (picture below) looked way better than it tasted. To be honest, the outer crust seemed delicious. However, it ended up tasting rather questionable. It’s family run and it was such a pleasure to chat with them; you can really feel the love they put into everything. Everything we tried was amazing! A must visit!

Great and maybe the best cakes and desserts shop in Barcelona. Prices and service are reasonable to the quality. I visited them 3 times in one week. But I only had issue with the shop working hours as it keeps changing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the best bakeries in Barcelona. The shop is impeccably maintained and radiates a unique personality that invites you to step inside. We tried the pistachio, crema catalana, and chocolate croissants—each one was outstanding—but the pistachio is the star: generously filled with real pistachio sauce. All of them are highly recommended. Prices are higher than other spots in the area, but the quality makes it absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic. The cakes looked amazing and had a taste to match. The raspberry and passion fruit soft drinks were also very good. Definitely recommend

Demasie is a delightful bakery located near the Picasso museum in Barcelona, offering a variety of delectable treats. Their specialty lies in an assortment of cinnamon rolls, including options topped with pistachio, filled with dulce de leche, or covered in chocolate. Visitors also praise their matcha cookies and other sweet indulgences like dark chocolate brownies, NYC cookies, salt caramel rolls, donuts, and more. The friendly service adds to the overall experience at Demasie.
The best American style cinnamon roll i had in years! Best part of it is the staff asked me if i want to have it microwaved. Never ever i have been asked the same! Their cinammon roll is just perfectly sweet and the softness of the roll is 👌. Makes me want to try their cheesecakes. grrrr!! Shame this branch though doesn't have dining setting but good in a way to avoid over-indulging 😋

Cookies were nice but do not have a filling they are only topped. They have a huge range of flavours and they are superbly presented though. The white chocolate raspberry bun was nice. They also sell savoury pizza slices.

Cool spot in the heart of Barcelona. We tried the pizzas and they weren't great. The pastries might be nice, but I'm not so sure. The pizza flavor was strange and the texture of the crust was off. I wouldn't recommend coming to this place for pizza.

Lovely desserts! We tried the pistachio and nutella cookie which was really good, the white bueno brownie which was too sweet and the pistachio cinnamon roll which was really nice! Good desserts

One of the best cinnamon rolls I had. Pairs well with the oat macha latte that is made to perfection. Price matches quality.

Officially my favourite spot in Barcelona for a sweet indulgent treat. Slowly working my way through the menu and I highly recommend anything here with pistachio or Lotus Biscoff. Run don’t walk Fam! Returned one year later and everything is just as yummy! I am still going gaga for everything pistachio and lotus 🫶🏻

The best roll of all rolls! Soft and fluffy with the perfect amount of filling. Full with real flavours (not sugary sugar)! A must try! ❤️

Bubó Barcelona is a chic dessert store and café founded by Carlos Mampel, a renowned pastry chef in Spain. The shop offers an array of exquisite pastries, cakes, chocolates, and biscuits that are perfect for indulging or as edible souvenirs. Despite its small size, Bubó is celebrated for its innovative treats like chocolate and flor de sal cookies and curry coco truffles.
You must try international awarded chocolate cake! They are offering unique cakes, chocolates and sweets to create a fresh, modern and innovative patisserie, a new sweet universe in the city totally different from what they have seen so far: a patisserie reminiscent of a jewelry store due to its design, the quality of the product and the presentation of its elaborations. With that fusion of ideas, a lot of passion and dedication, what is now Bubó was born. They make artisan products using top quality raw materials. They continue to innovate with more natural ingredients, new designs, flavors and textures, with a view to ecological agriculture and sustainable cultivation of key products such as cocoa.

You are paying for the presentation, not the mini cake. The presentation of these desserts were very beautiful. However, the cake itself was pretty average. It was a fun one-time experience, but probably wouldn’t go back.

lovely variety of cakes. I was looking for a cake shop when I passed here. We were surprised with the taste. I do recommend the 'jade cake' it is perfect for this summer, the citric of lime, and different texture of it was amazing that compliment to each other. I would defintely say that this shop would be one of my favorites. I am looking forward to try the other flavors of their cakes. the ambiance are very cozy and the guy was very attentive in answering all my questions.

I stumbled upon Bubó during a quiet stroll through Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, and it turned out to be a highlight of the day. Every pastry looked like a piece of art—and tasted just as incredible. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. Because it was a calm moment, they even offered us two extra treats to sample, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Top-tier quality, both in flavor and presentation. Highly recommended!

Some of the best croissants I had in barcelona. They have a limited selection, but each flavor is sophisticated and delicious. The croissants are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, with generous, flavorful fillings. They were also large enough to be a satisfying breakfast on their own. While the place itself is quite fancy, the pastries are actually quite affordable. I love having breakfast here with friends or people who visit me. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect place to start the day. Plus I love the people working there, they are always so nice and helpful!!

Baluard Barceloneta is a renowned bakery located in the Barceloneta neighborhood of Barcelona. The owner, Anna Bellsola, is passionate about baking and offers a wide variety of hand-made bread using traditional Catalan techniques. With about 40 different types of bread available, including those with dried fruits, nuts, seeds, and whole grains, the bakery's offerings are both diverse and delicious.
A great café for a delicious and healthy breakfast! Fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation, and rich flavors. The yogurt bowl, avocado toast, and plate with eggs, hummus, and avocado are all well-balanced and satisfying. The coffee is aromatic and creamy. With a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, this place is perfect for a great start to the day. Highly recommend!
Victoria M — Google review
Baluard on Provença stays at the top of my list because the team actually keeps the room cool and dry, a small miracle in Barcelona’s summer. Walk in and the modern-rustic bakery opens into a bright back area filled with greenery and plenty of seating, while a separate counter up front moves the take-away line quickly. The temperature control pays off in every bite. Pastries come out crisp and flaky, never limp. The almond croissant shatters perfectly, buttery without feeling heavy, and the lemon pop cake surprised me in the best way, light and bright with just enough zest to keep me going back for one more forkful. Service seals the deal. Alida greeted us with the kind of warmth that makes you feel like a regular, offered tasting notes on a few local specialties, and treated each order with care. I am already planning a return trip to work through the rest of the Spanish pastries and snag that triple-chocolate croissant I eyed on the way out.

Come get your breakfast here. No matter whether it is a plain baguette, their incredible sandwiches or something sweet. Recommend warmly ❤️
Alva R — Google review
Very nice pastry selection and croissants especially the fruit long one with chocolate . I would definitely come back for that. Although they lost one star for the coffee which was just a machine and the sandwiches were nice but not as good as their pastries. Overall will be back for the pastries and skip the sandwiches and coffee.
Mayank P — Google review
I’d venture that np this is not just the best bakery in Barcelona, or in Spain, but in Europe. Maybe that’s a little over the top, but we came here from Paris, where we were generally disappointed that the croissants and baguette quality seemed to have declined compared to previous trips. Then we experienced Baluard and were so excited to have flaky, buttery croissants again that we made it a daily stop. Sandwiches are also excellent. Only negative is that our Americanos were weak and watery, even for an Americano.
Farhad F — Google review
Visiting Barcelona for two days and incidentally bumped into this hidden gem, we don't understand the names of the pastries but they just look good on shelf, staff are friendly and try to help even we don't speak local language, overall very good and you should have a try when passing by.

Five stars on the first bite. Soft, but firm kaiser roll sandwich with good ham, fresh arugula, and mozzarella. Outstanding. My daughter loved the chocolate croissant, which the baker recommended. My pastry was Outstanding. Crispy, with perfect vanilla custard inside. We ate on a bench. Perfect lunch.
Heather S — Google review
Lovely selection of baked goods, very hard to choose! The pastry of the berry tart was light and easy to cut. The chocolate cupcake was almost too chocolatey! We wanted a slightly more solid “cookie” base on the cheesecake, but nevertheless it went down very well. The coffee was yummy and the milk creamy. A clean bathroom, downstairs, with soap, hot water and a powerful hand dryer. Recommended.

Jansana is a renowned bakery and cafe in Barcelona, specializing in gluten-free pastries, cakes, and breads. After 75 years of operation, the establishment made the decision to exclusively cater to celiacs by offering a variety of products that are also free of lactose and dried fruits. Despite its popularity and high demand for its offerings, some have suggested that it could benefit from expanding its menu options and improving its coffee selection.
We stopped in here to have breakfast before heading out for a cruise and the reputation did not disappoint! Incredible all gluten free treats sweet and savories. Staff was super friendly we would recommend and also return on our next visit!

I only ordered a ham & cheese croissant and coffee. It was tasty. I sat at the back which has 16 covers. There's always a queue here so expect to wait. They had a good selection of gluten free sweet & savoury breads, pastries and cakes/sweets. They also had panetonnes and larger cakes and take advance orders. It apparently is a business that dates back to 1930 and a long history of baking breads and cakes gluten-free. I would definitely come back to try more of their products.

My favourite gluten free bakery in Barcelona. I recommend the apple pastry and the xuixos. All the pastry is excellent, nice and flaky and not cake like which you fill find in other bakeries. They also offer a wide range of patisserie style cakes which are excellent too. I visit every time I am in the city. A must visit!

We had the most beautiful and unforgettable experience celebrating our wedding at La Cava Celebration. Our celebration was small and intimate, just 11 people, and the team at La Cava Celebration made it feel absolutely perfect. They created such a warm and welcoming space for us and our families. It felt personal, special, and full of love. The atmosphere was stunning and truly set the stage for an unforgettable day. They even played music for us, which allowed me to dance with my husband, my dad, and for my husband to dance with his mom. The cupcakes were absolutely delicious, and everything they provided fit so well within our budget. The booking process was super easy, and they took care of everything, which allowed us to simply enjoy the day stress-free. One of the highlights was the cava tree, with champagne glasses and sparkling lights (like little fireworks). It added a wonderful, celebratory touch that made the evening feel extra special. We are so grateful to La Cava Celebration for making our wedding day intimate, emotive, and simply perfect. I can’t recommend them enough for anyone looking for a beautiful space to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Beautiful place on Barcelona Map! I had the pleasure of visiting this charming cake shop in Barcelona, and I must say, it’s a place full of magic! The staff was exceptionally helpful and made sure our birthday cookies for a friend were special. Additionally, the waiter enthusiastically took a photo for us as a keepsake, which added even more joy to our visit. The treats were delicious, and the coffee was excellent! The birthday music in the background made the atmosphere truly remarkable. I wholeheartedly recommend this plac – it's the perfect place for sweet moments with friends!

We organized a bachelorette party for a friend here and it was absolutely amazing! 💕 The bride-to-be loves cava and creative workshops, so we chose the Cupcake Frosting Party — and we totally loved it. The owner is super nice and professional, she even decorated the place with bachelorette party motifs and prepared the perfect playlist to match the vibes. The atmosphere was cozy and fun, the cava delicious 🥂, and the cupcakes… wow! 🧁💖 It was such a unique experience. Totally recommendable for any event, but especially bachelorette parties, baby showers or birthdays.

BEWARE OF HOW MUCH THEY CHARGE YOU - I paid €16,5 for a glass of cava + cupcake (€9) and one cupcake (€4,5) which should’ve been €13,5. Everyone can make a mistake, but €3 is almost a whole other cupcake… I should’ve brought it up, but only realized it after I left. All I can do now is to warn others to double check before paying!!!

La Do, located in Sant Antoni, is a must-visit for doughnut enthusiasts. This independent bakery offers a delectable selection of freshly made doughnuts with ever-changing toppings like matcha tea with mango, apricot and pistachio, pumpkin and pecan nut. The store's windows allow customers to watch the doughnuts being made.
My home is near this place, and whenever I pass by, I try to close my eyes so those beautiful donuts don’t tempt me to buy them. Today, I gave up, and it was worth it. They were soft and delicious.
Mahsa S — Google review
If you're looking for classic donuts, deep fried 🥰 you will be disappointed. Those donuts are good but not what I expected. Donuts are really bulky, and they're too much filling inside. I think the price is good. People and the place is really nice. For me, it's the place you should try, but nothing to visit again.
Nn N — Google review
I went this morning the La Do. There was an older gentleman who looked already bothered by entering the place. There was no "Hola" or "Buenos Dias"; he didn't look that happy that I wanted to order something. I ordered a Cappuccino with oat milk. I got a hot coffee with some hot milk, no foam or something that could be a cappuccino. I was disappointed; this experience does not make me want to come back.

Luke P — Google review
Interesting selection of donut flavours, but poor experience overall on my most recent visit. I had been to La Donuteria previously (and enjoyed it), and had starred it on my map to visit again. I was in the neighbourhood again, and popped by for a donut and coffee. The donut selection is good -- interesting flavours / combinations. Dough is good (yeasty and fairly soft) though a bit dry. I've found a couple of their donuts to be a bit too sweet for me, but that's subjective. I ordered an Americano with my most recent donut, and it tasted quite bad (rancid) -- unlike any coffee I've had before (and I am very into coffee). It tasted like the machine was broken or there some sort of contamination of the water. It was super watery (visually and body) but had an off flavour. I had a few sips and also asked my friends to try it, who also said it tasted off. I asked the staff member about it, to see if they could try it and see if they thought it was off also. The staff member said she had made it as usual way, and that there is nothing wrong with it (without trying it). She calls over the other staff member (male) who very authoritatively says there is nothing wrong and "maybe you don't like the coffee -- it's a blend of 8 different beans from our local roaster". I said this wasn't a result of a blend or bean variety issue, given my experience with coffee. I didn't drink the rest of it and left it on the counter for staff to dispose of (since we didn't want to put it in the garbage can in case the bottom would leak). The male staff member angrily threw it away. Decent donuts, but bad experience. I won't be back.

Really delicious bakery treats, and tasty sandwich! We came here after an early morning visit to the Sagrada Familia fell through. While we initially thought the prices were a bit high, the treats ended up being really good and surprisingly filling. The Venue: The place is small and narrow, but it's cute and neat. It's perfect for grabbing something quick to eat. There's a big counter where you can stand and eat. What we ordered: - Sugar Brioche: It was incredibly soft and tasty. I really liked it. -Baguette Sandwich: This was huge and delicious! What I liked most was the bread. Sometimes that kind of bread can be hard to chew, but this one was perfectly soft. Service: Nice, friendly service. Parking: No dedicated parking lot. Final Thoughts: It's a great spot for a quick, tasty bite. The treats were fresh and satisfying. I would definitely come back on my next visit to the Sagrada Familia.

Great little bakery right across from Sagrada Família. They have a wide selection of sandwiches, drinks, and croissants. I had the salmon bagel — it was fresh and tasty, priced at €7.50. The lemonade was also really good (€3.50). I was recommended to try the pistachio croissant — it wasn’t exactly my favorite, but I appreciated that it wasn’t overly sweet. Definitely a nice spot for a quick and decent bite in the area.

The chocolate croissant here is nothing short of perfection. Each bite reveals impossibly flaky layers that shatter delicately, giving way to rich, melted chocolate nestled inside. It's clear they use premium ingredients and traditional techniques. The pastry was still warm from the oven, making it even more irresistible. Paired with their café latte, which was smooth, perfectly balanced, and served at just the right temperature, breakfast became an experience rather than just a meal. The barista clearly knows their craft, creating beautiful latte

Boldú is a delightful bakery that has captured the hearts of many in Barcelona with its unique take on donuts. Unlike traditional circular shapes, Boldú's creations resemble playful figures inspired by their brand mascot, making them not only delicious but also visually appealing. With nine locations throughout the city, this beloved establishment has become a go-to spot for donut enthusiasts since it first opened its doors in 1939 in the charming Gracia neighborhood.
Great spot for simple but good breakfast, freshly squeezed orange juice, savoury tuna with lettuce sandwich and a warm aromatic coffee!

Stopped in yesterday due to the presentation in the window. One of the ladies is super kind and tries to assist, which she was successful in . The Second Lady not as much . She wouldn’t even acknowledge my partner and I when we walked in . We also said hello as well. I just want to say the donuts are very great and we tried them on a whim. Maybe be a little friendlier next time and if not customer service probably isn’t where you’re suppose to be.

I was so excited we were able to stop in and sample some of their menu! So worth a stop if you have time!! Seriously the donuts were HUGE and light and sweet but not overwhelming. My family and I tried the Original, Cheesecake, glazed doughnuts, and chocolate croissant. Highly recommend!!

Small assortment of sweets and the athmosphere wasn't very pleasing. The doughnut was good.

Found this place by mistake and I'm glad I did! The staff is super nice even though they didn't speak English. The value for money is good. The donuts are super tasty and I enjoyed my coffee. Recommended if you're in the area.

Amazing cafe in Barcelona. Food was out of this world. Donut was literally perfect. Ham and cheese sandwich was just what I needed after a night out and the coffee was delicious. Service was friendly and fast and the place was very clean. Highly recommend. Would definitely return again.

This place is amazing! The tendermen are so cute you walk by the shop and can't say no to try out at least one of them 🤩 The dough is a bit heavy but the fillings are mesmerising and makes the whole concept a complete sugar rush 😂 I love that!! Couldn't eat more then one at a seat but definitely would take once or twice a week if there would be something similar where I came from. Fantastic idea! The takeaway boxes are awesome as well. They also have sandwiches and several drinks. Totally recommended.

Candela Canela is a charming bakery located in the heart of Barcelona, near the famous Plaza del Sol. Since its opening in February 2018, this cozy spot has been delighting locals and visitors with handcrafted rolls in various flavors, from classic cinnamon to indulgent dulce de leche and apple pie. In addition to serving these delectable treats on-site, Candela Canela also delivers to numerous restaurants, bars, and special events across the city.
The cafe is super cozy and welcoming , the coffee is spectecular with a fruity hint. And the cinnamon rolls are the best I’ve ever had , if your in Barcelona is a must. The walk from the metro is a short one and you can find a lot of little stores✨ I also have to add that the store is super clean and classy and the staff is really friendly
Teresa M — Google review
Candela Canela is a gem! Simple and classy decor with chill vibes. The music is just right—not too loud. The cinnamon buns were incredible, but the iced coffee? Even better! Both easily 5 stars. The place is super clean, and Sara, our server, was awesome—plus, she makes a killer coffee. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Barcelona!
N R — Google review
It's just a small place. So it's better to take away and go to the nearest bench outside. I would say cinnamon roll was good. But cappuccino with oat milk was not up to my expectations as they probably use the cheapest version of oat milk. Service was good though he was friendly & attentive and speak good English as my Spanish was not tht good.

The berry cinnamon roll was really good! It was a little hard on the outside but soft on the inside. The worker was really friendly! I just wish there were better seating options

The bakery offers a variety of pastries and breads that are not only delicious but also free from gluten and animal products. Customers have raved about the quality of the baked goods, with some expressing their delight at finding such a wonderful place.
The pain au chocolat was incredible!! very light, airy, lots of flakey layers and SUPER TASTY. And a very decent price too! Soooooo much better than any other gf version I've ever had in my whole life. Even my non-vegan, gluten-eating partner loved it! Can't wait to come back and try more things! **UPDATE - WE WENT BACK! We tried the chocolate brownie alfajor and it is probably the best dessert I have had in my life EVER. Both my non-vg, non-gf partner and I are so obsessed with it 😍
Georgina S — Google review
I had to ask three times to make sure everything was both vegan and gluten free (it is) because I simply couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I haven’t had a croissant in 10 years…everything was absolutely incredible. I wish they were more cafe style with seating but I stood and ate like I had never eaten before. The staff were incredible (and allowed me to practice my Spanish) and patiently reassured me that everything was indeed both vegan and gluten free. I will be flying back to Barcelona solely for this place.

Amazing bakery! I loved their savoury food: the empanada and the croissant. Delicuous food, amazing variety and friendy service. Definitely going back again!

I came one day few minutes before closing, got baguette and alfabrownie- excellent, makes you wonder if it’s gluten-free and vegan because it tastes too good. The next day i came back to buy donut, it was so delicious that after first taste i run back for two more. Great place with lovely stuff, who deserves to be mentioned by name, i am very sorry that i forgot it. If you meet lady with name starting with F - she is a keeper and very nice person.

10/10 best gluten free croissant of my life. If you’re celiac or GF in Barcelona, YOU MUST GO! I’m going back tomorrow.
Shannon P — Google review
I had high expectations based on the reviews. The pastries are gluten-free and definitely look appealing. I tried a cheese and ham croissant and a donut. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy either. The croissant was far too greasy—almost like it was coated in a thick layer of lard. The donut was slightly better, but the main flavor that came through was grease. That said, the staff was lovely. The girl at the counter was super friendly and helpful

Origo Bakery has quickly become a beloved gem in the heart of Barcelona, renowned for its artisanal approach to baking. Specializing in ancient grains and hand-crafted sourdough, each loaf is a testament to their dedication. The gluten-free options are particularly noteworthy, making it a must-visit for those with dietary restrictions. With locations like the spacious one in Gracia, visitors can enjoy an inviting atmosphere complemented by friendly staff who make you feel right at home.
I believe we found this place through the European coffee trip. What a find! 🥰 We went on a Monday around 10am and we enjoyed the pastries so much, we came back the very next morning. The one with strawberries on it was the winner for us. Also, we got another pastry that had a vanilla filling, which was yummy. All the food was great but they were our favourites. Very clean aesthetic, and the staff were nice. The bathroom is through the back, which is cool and daunting. A cool sneak peek. They have massive windows, and you get to see completely into the kitchen. Their flat whites were good too! Pet friendly, all the best doggos.
Caoimhe H — Google review
They have a few shops but i think only this one has a sitting area. It’s a very cute bakery with some amazing looking breads and pastries. A lot of people get their croissant but since i’m not a fan of puff pastry, i had the cardamom roll instead and it was delicious. It’s not overly sweet, soft yet chewy, it’s perfect with the espresso! Their coffee is very good too! I believe the locals love this bakery too. Don’t miss it if you are in Barcelona!

wonderful spot in Barcelona! Origo Bakery is truly an exceptional place. The atmosphere is warm and beautifully designed, and the food is absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. What made the experience stand out even more was the service. Special thanks to Angel, who was polite, friendly, and always smiling. He answered all our questions with great professionalism. Excellent service like this truly enhances the value of the place. The seating area is a bit limited, but overall, the place is beautiful and absolutely worth visiting. Highly recommended when visiting Barcelona — I’ll definitely be returning.

We had such a lovely time! The staff were super friendly, the ambience was warm and relaxed, and we absolutely loved the coffee shop vibe. We tried the focaccias, couple of spicy chai lattes, a cardamom roll, and a classic cinnamon roll — everything was delicious! A perfect spot to enjoy great coffee and amazing pastries 🥐 🤩 ☕️
Alejandro H — Google review
Origo Bakery is a wonderful spot. The first time I visited, I was lucky enough to try a Madagascar-style dessert — a flaky pastry with mascarpone and pear — and it was incredibly delicious. I wanted to get it again the next day but it was already sold out, so don’t be late! Definitely recommended: great dessert and great coffee.
Volodymyr D — Google review
Honestly the coffee and pastries are amazing. I feel the coffee is slightly overpriced especially if you’re getting an iced coffee (somehow it’s almost €5?!) but the quality is there so if that’s your thing then definitely come. Aesthetically it’s so nice, there’s a girl that works there who’s also super nice and cool that you can see the kitchen where they make everything. Average around €3-€4 for a pastry but for me worth it as they’re all so tasty. I’ve actually never sat in as I’d recommend take away and walking round the corner to sit on Parlament in the street and enjoying the atmosphere of the best neighbourhood in Barcelona ;)
Ellis D — Google review
Origo stands out in Barcelona when it comes to pastries and baked goods. Pastries are really too quality, one with cream - probably best pastry I have ever had. However, focaccia was dry and sad, even beautiful mortadella did not save it. So it is not the 5 but certainly 4.5+ Also, coffee is just spot on. Highly recommended

Visitors have raved about the bakery's tasty offerings, including the flavorful baguettes and the impressive banana bread served with coffee cream and olive oil.
had a roll de higos - made using medialuna dough, topped with fresh fig, flaked almonds, custard and jam. the bread was soft and fluffy while the toppings were a great combination of textures, sweetness and flavours. gentleman at the counter was very friendly and helped me decide on what to get overall a lovely place, wish i didnt only come on my last day in barcelona!

Hands down my favorite bakery in Barcelona 🤩 The medialunas are absolutely incredible—flaky, buttery, and just the right amount of sweet. Everything else I’ve tried has been just as delicious, and the service is always warm and welcoming. It’s a spot that never disappoints. 10/10 highly recommend! ✨

Loved this place so much that we went twice during a three day trip! Coffee is beautiful. You MUST try the medialuna. It was absolutely delicious, I would come back to Barcelona just for this pastry. Perfect for takeaway coffee to explore the city - seating is extremely limited.

Popped in to grab some bread and a couple pastries to accompany a low key last supper at our hotel before leaving Barcelona. They were super friendly and helpful and the loaf of bread and the medialunas they suggested were absolutely fabulous. If in the area looking for some baked goods this is a great option.
Dave K — Google review
Amazing bakery! Loved the banana bread with cream cheese and olive oil and the pesto cheese pinwheel was a great compliment to the sweetness of the banana bread. Will need to return to try their baguette that all of the other customers were buying while I ate my breakfast.
Nick — Google review
I saved this bakery since they have good reviews and we rent an appartment nearby. The bakery is very clean/minimalistic. They have sour dough bread and some pastries. The medialuna's are heaven! They are super fluffy sweet and almost taste like cake. We went back to get them for a second time. Also the service is good. Friendly and explaining the different pastries. The iced latte was also nice. 6 stars for this place.
Marisa H — Google review
Medialunas that almost make you cry and a vegan peanut butter raspberry cookie fit for an American picnic 🥰🥰🥰. Such a good price for the quality.
Michelle S — Google review
Very poor quality products. The medialuna was extremely sweet and syrupy, I had to throw away half of it because the bottom was basically pastry bathed in sticky syrup. The bread was very hard to cut and too dense, the day after I purchased it I had to throw it away because it had already become inedible. The service was nice, but unfortunately I cannot recommend. Moreover, the prices are absurd (6.50 euros for half sourdough and a medialuna).

Yes, it’s a bit pricey — but the pastries are fresh, delicious, and totally worth it. The coffee also great. What a place! We ordered something simple, sourdough with a few home made dip options to sit outside with for a mini picnic. The staff were very approachable, the dips were delightful and the bread was warm and rich with sourdough love! What was interesting was that you could taste the unique flavour of the sourdough, the wheat profile etc, and it was a perfect spongy sour consistency! I shall be returning!

Diana F — Google review
Great bread, great cakes, no doubt about the quality. But €5.50 for a small slice of cheesecake? That’s not Gràcia pricing. OZ Bakery feels more like it’s catering to tourists and expats than locals. Fantastic products, yes, but pricing like this pushes the neighborhood further into gentrification. Beautiful bakery, just sadly not for everyone.
Sandra M — Google review
Great bakery tucked into a row of shops in the beautiful square. Look closely for this place as it is worth a visit! Their seeded sourdough was excellently made and super tasty.
Jessica S — Google review
Tucked into the heart of Gràcia lies a gem of a bakery-cafe that has quickly become part of my daily ritual. The moment you step inside, you're greeted by the intoxicating aroma of pastries emerging from the oven throughout the day, a testament to their commitment to genuine freshness, not just claims of it. The coffee here is exceptional, crafted with the same care evident in everything they do. But what truly sets this place apart is the people behind the counter. Every staff member radiates genuine warmth and pride in what they're creating, transforming a simple transaction into a moment of connection. I must single out Lucho, whose presence elevates this café from excellent to extraordinary. There's a rare quality to his service, an authentic kindness and grace that lingers long after you've left. As I sit in the square with my perfectly flaky croissant and steaming coffee, watching the neighborhood come alive around me, I carry that warmth with me. I must admit, I also really enjoy the coffee at Salvage, a few stores down and feel shy taking my Salvatage cup into this bakery to pick up a pastry! Thank you, Lucho, for the reminder that how we treat others creates ripples we may never fully see. You're making a difference, just by being you.

Some of the bakery's most popular items include the Guinness Cake (made especially for birthdays!) and the scones. Additionally, the chocolate chip cookies are highly recommended!
I came for the gluten free cakes. They had 4 different cakes. I tried two: the portions are medium to small, could be a little bigger, but they are delicious. My lover tried the one with gluten and he loved them, one of the best he ate. Next time in Barcelona this is our bakery stop. I sincerely recommend. There are two tables inside where you can sit with your laptop (but I don't remember if they have a socket nearby) because we sat at the tables outside. The coffees and hot chocolate are also very delicious!! Good job!

My brother who lives in Barcelona recommended this place for my Mum's 60th Birthday so we could all have cake. It was a great idea so we could choose our favourite cakes, everything looked so gorgeous! . We had Lemon and Blackberry Cake, Pistachio and Orange Cake and Caramel Shortbread and we all absolutely loved it. The Orange juice was fresh and lovely and all our hot drinks were really nice. The owner (I assume!) was really nice and spoke fluent English, really nice place inside and out. Would 100% come along again. There are lots of vegan cakes/pastries too!! Also visited the toilet inside which was very clean!

Over priced, low quality of chocolate. We were passing by and decided to buy advent calendar, hoping that at least there will be bombons there. Inside were very-very small chocolates with a very bad smell of the old oil. 25€ (!!!) euros for each calendar thrown to the garbage.

The 🥇 best croissant 🥐 in Spain 🇪🇸! 👆 Is it true? I don't know cause I would have to try all the croissants all around the country, or at least all the croissants from all the bakeries that participated in this contest... 🤷 Is it good? It is. 👍 Is it exceptionally good? Not in my opinion. 🤷 It is flavorful, it is buttery 🧈 (but could be more) but it's also kinda dry on the outside. 👎 Let's cut to the chase: I've had better croissants in France 🇫🇷 (of course! and this would be a regular croissant in France)... but also in Spain (not many, but I have). 🫡 Note that I also tried the praliné croissant and the pistachio croissant. both were good but their praliné is exceptional whereas their pistachio filling is nothing out of this world. The price? Too expensive. 💸 €2,20 for a plain croissant is too much. I had the best croissant in Paris 🗼 for way less (€1,50) a couple of months ago. And I liked it more. They sell the filled croissants for more than €3, btw. Conclusion: I liked it, but I'm not dreaming of this croissant. . . . Quality & taste: 8/10 Quantities: 9/10 Atmosphere: n/a Originality: 6/10 Ratio price / quality: 6/10 Service: n/a How I felt afterwards: 8/10

We got here after seeing them get the prize for “best croissant”. We tried 3 of their croissants and the simple/butter one is just average, nothing to write home about. The pistacho one does not even remotely taste like pistacho, just green sugar syrup. In the hazelnut one you can feel some nutty flavors, but again, nothing to write home. The prices are regular, in the ballpark of 2-4€/piece Later edit: -1 star, their cakes are also average

The bakery offers a variety of delectable pastries, including different types of stuffed croissants and daily specials. Customers can indulge in treats like the exquisite La Rosa and fragrant raspberry jam croissant. Despite some comments about high prices, others appreciate the quality and effort put into each pastry.
Hofmann has the kindest and most helpful staff that helped me pick out the most yummy pastries I have ever tried from a pastisseria in Barcelona. They are pieces of art, and the flavors definitely measure up to the looks! The pricing is really good for what you get as well. A must try!

Quality pastries, we enjoyed the savory more than the sweets. Everyone hyped up the Marscapone Croissant, which to us felt like a laminated glazed donut. It is good, just be prepared for sweetness. We enjoyed the chocolate and vanilla one much more! Mild sweetness and enjoyable texture. Our favorite was the Jamon y queso, it was delightful. Good croissant structure, balanced flavor, and left us wanting to go back for another. The Kougin Amon is denser/ more scone like in texture than others we've had.

This is the place for real croissants! This place is always popular — if you go late, most of the pastries are already gone and the line can be long. So this time, I ordered through a delivery app and enjoyed it slowly on the weekend — great decision! Especially the mascarpone croissant… I have no words. It’s nutty, not too sweet, rich but not heavy, and has the perfect moist texture. It’s hard to find croissants that taste this balanced and refined — this place nails it. Highly recommend, whether for brunch or dessert. 🥐

Good, but overhyped Tried the chocolate croissant. It was tasty and delicate, but honestly, just a regular good croissant. Not sure why there’s so much hype — to me, this is how all croissants should be. Nothing mind-blowing.
Sasha S — Google review
If you love your sugar , go, but expensive. Marscapone is good, but the thick coating of sugar on the outside is not my taste.
WenD T — Google review
Top patisserie at reasonable prices. It’s a pity that the number of cakes that they have in their menu is relatively small. The cakes are superb, but it can get boring having the same cakes after a while. It would be great if they can offer a greater variety of cakes.

got a lemon tarte, it was good. But the eggplant vegetable empanada i had was god awful. i’m not even a picky eater, i dont really leave reviews, but i swear something tasted so off about that dish. i’m sure the other confections are great, but i would avoid the savory stuff, especially if you’re vegetarian. not sure if they cook the insides in a meaty oil or something, but it tasted so wrong.

Pastisseria Escribà is a renowned confectionery and pastry shop in Barcelona with two branches, known for its rich history and innovative desserts. The bakery has been serving sweet treats for over a century, combining Catalan traditions with creative concepts. Their cream-filled pastries are a must-try, featuring light, fluffy textures and velvety fillings.
A true hidden gem in the heart of La Rambla! Despite the bustling crowds outside, stepping into Pastisseria Escribà felt like entering an oasis of peace and sweet indulgence. Everything is fresh and made daily, and the attention to detail is evident in both the presentation and the flavours. The service was absolutely spot on—friendly, attentive, and warm, making the experience even more delightful. The pistachio croissant was out of this world, an absolute must-try! And the Kouign-Amann, with its buttery, caramelized layers, left us speechless. Pair it with their excellent coffee, and you have the perfect treat. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-tier pastry experience in Barcelona!

It's quite a quirky dessert and patisserie spot, with the head chef and his past works on display all over the shop. The desserts look nice and fancy. Shop keepers were not outstanding, doing the bare minimum when we visited. Overall a good spot, if you're looking for a place to sit down; otherwise there are better alternatives.

Granja M. Viader is a historic cafe and deli located in the heart of Barcelona's historic center, run by the Viader family since 1910. This dairy-turned-cafe has preserved its traditional charm and continues to serve a variety of Catalan favorites such as flan, cottage cheese, queso mato, and crema catalana. The cafe also operates an offsite workshop to ensure the quality of their freshly pasteurized milk used in their coffee.
Lucky only que for a while. Loveeee the classic churros, and the chocolate dip is moderate sweet so everything is in balance. Worth the hype!

local feel of coffee shop. The cream is very rich, the chocolate for dipping the churros can be more rich, but the churros is excellent, the price is very reasonable. Due to the history of this shop is worth to try since it has more than 150 years.

The shop is only open during two sessions and closes in the afternoon. We came back again in the evening — it was packed, but the lady staff was so kind and found us a table since we came because of the great reviews. We didn’t have to wait long, and the desserts were delicious!

Loved the vintage decor and feel of the place. The hot chocolate and churros were perfection as they were not too sweet. The churros were freshly made and not overly oily but rather nice and crunchy but still has a fluffy inside. The coffee was great and affordable compared to other place. The hand and cheese toastie was easy to eat and we wishes we ordered 5 more of them : )
Eric K — Google review
The atmosphere is good and the staff is genuinely lovely, but unfortunately the churros just didn’t hit the mark for me. I’ve had much better ones elsewhere crispier, tastier, with chocolate that’s smoother and richer. Here, the flavor was pretty average. A nice spot overall, but the dessert itself didn’t meet my expectations.

This place feels like a time capsule! We had the best churros and chocolate we've tried in Spain. I also tried the crema catalana for the first time, and while I personally found the cinnamon way too strong, it might just be my own taste. Mauri, located on Rambla de Catalunya, is a traditional bakery and cafe offering a wide selection of elaborate pastries and festive goods. The chain is known for its daily menu and grand shop with a painted ceiling. It's a great choice for breakfast, especially if you want to skip the hotel breakfast. Mauri offers delicious sandwiches and a gorgeous Cortado, making it an ideal stop in Eixample.
Mauri is one of Barcelona’s true gems – a café that combines rich tradition with an unforgettable culinary experience. Established decades ago, this spot has become a beloved landmark, known for its dedication to preserving time-honored methods while offering something fresh and exciting. Located in the heart of the city, it’s perfectly nestled in one of Barcelona’s charming neighborhoods, making it the ideal stop whether you’re exploring nearby sights or just strolling through the vibrant streets. The Kakao-covered almonds are an absolute standout. Made in the traditional way, they’re a flawless blend of crunchy almonds and smooth, rich cocoa – a treat you won’t be able to resist (trust me, I couldn’t). Then there’s their avocado and caramelized onion sandwich – not only does it look amazing (check out the photos!), but every bite is bursting with flavor. It’s the kind of sandwich that feels almost too good to be true, yet it’s real and right here waiting for you. Let’s talk coffee. I’ve had coffee all over the world, but the coffee here? Next level. Perfectly brewed, with flavors so rich and smooth it feels like an art form. Pair that with the café’s commitment to using only the finest ingredients, and I’m still amazed at how reasonably priced everything is. High-quality food, incredible drinks, and prices that don’t break the bank – what’s not to love? The staff are just as impressive as the menu. They’re friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to make recommendations. Their warm and welcoming attitude makes the experience even better, as if you’re part of the family. Mauri is more than just a café – it’s a slice of Barcelona’s history, wrapped in modern charm and flavor. This is the kind of place you’ll want to share with everyone you know, so tell your friends, bring your family, and make it a part of your Barcelona adventure. Don’t forget to check out the photos I’ve uploaded, and be ready to fall in love with this incredible spot! Mauri isn’t just a stop for coffee and snacks – it’s the start of an amazing day in Barcelona!

A usual go to place for a bit of everything or anything in this poshy neighborhood. You feel the lassitude of the staff probably due to the thousands of daily tourists who walk by. Food is honestly not so great, but the bakery does have a good range of both sweet and savory things on offer. Big terrace in the shade in the middle of the road.

What a horrible experience. I have travelled the world and never have I encountered such a bad service. I sat down and the waitress basically said “what u want?” And with an attitude. had a little problem here with my order. the waitress didn't speak much english, so when i ordered a pack with a croissant sandwich and a coffee with milk, i said something along the lines "you know, like a cappucino". turns out the pack includes COFFEE WITH MILK, and CAPPUCINO is a different item on the menu and i ended uo being charged separately. they fixed the problem when i explained (but i got a metaphorical slap of the wrist "but what you drank was an actual cappucino"). beware, there are hidden costs. 10% extra if you have your meal on the terrace, 1euro extra to the pack if the bevarage you choose is not the basic espresso. in the end they were helpful, and the coffee and the croissant were really good (and all the items of the menu is observed looked delcious), just wanted to give a heads up that the language barrier could lead to some problems.

Xurreria Trebol is a renowned churro specialist in Barcelona, offering a wide range of traditional and unique variations of the classic sweet treat. It is considered one of the oldest and best xurrerias in the city, known for its crunchy and doughy sugar-coated sensations that are reminiscent of the good old days.
I came here years ago with my mom back in 2016, so walking up and seeing the crowd outside brought back all the memories 🥹 We saw the line and happily joined in 🤗 We got one classic churro and one filled with white Kinder Bueno cream. And yes — the filled one really did taste just like my favorite chocolate (which I’ve loved for over 10 years!). BUT… as always, the original was the winner. simple is best. Still such a comforting and satisfying stop in Barcelona.
Yesran — Google review
They have bomba de carne, croquetas, fries. I’ve tried all and they’re good I had to come back for croquetas again. They serve biiig portion of fries, they’ll ask you what sauces you want. Churros is good also, hot chocolate as well. What I didn’t like is this one female staff, even if you talk to her in Spanish(because we’re from here), she will only reply in English. Like, yes, tourists go here all the time even in the middle of the night. You integrate to their community and speak their language as they all want you to do but when you do exactly that, they will still talk back in English. But maybe she just wants to learn English or what? But it happened twice already with the same female staff in two different nights.

This churros place was located across the road from Hotel Seventy, Barcelona. It's one of our favourite churros joint in the city. We ordered the original churros, kinder bueno filled churros and coffee. The churros didn't feel greasy at all. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The kinder bueno filling was melted and tasted divine!
Karina A — Google review
Best churros in Barcelona hands down. It's good and fresh and cheap, I got 6 churros and a cup of chocolate for like 5-6 euros I went around trying different churro places and this had the best chocolate and churro combo and I love the hole in the wall vibe. There's only like 3 stools to sit on but still a must try when you're in Barcelona!! And they take credit card!
Danisa — Google review
We had the dulce de leche-filled churro and their hot chocolate sauce. It was just OK… reasonably thick and soft in the inside, while not crispy enough on the outside. I was expecting more…. I was more impressed with their hot chocolate sauce; I ended up drinking it straight up!
Richard M — Google review
Staff was great - very kind and spoke English very well ☺️ Had two churros with fillings - kinder bueno and dulce de leche (cappuccino was ordered in another place, since there was no available seating at the churreria, only a couple of bar stools that were occupied at the time of visit). The fillings were tasty, but the churro itself was spongy, and did not fulfill the expectation of what a churro should be like - crispy outside with a soft inside. They also had an intense taste of fried oil. I’d recommend coming around opening time and trying regular churros instead of the filled ones, to be sure that they are freshly made and will fulfill your expectations!
Emilija K — Google review
This famous churro shop in Spain is open 24 hours, and if you come too late, you’ll definitely run into a long line. It’s a must-try for anyone visiting Spain — the experience is completely different from the Chinese style of fried dough. The churros here have their own unique flavor and texture, and they’re absolutely worth the wait.
Sky S — Google review
If you’re in Barcelona and craving churros anytime—even in the middle of the night—Xurreria Trebol is your go‑to spot. This classic churrería, operating since the 1950s, keeps its doors open 24 hours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays , making it perfect for late-night cravings or early-morning indulgences. I was impressed by how quickly they serve you—fresh churros are frying as you order, and within minutes you’ve got a piping-hot, crispy treat in hand . The friendly staff keep the line moving efficiently, whether you’re picking up plain sugar-coated classics or one of their indulgent filled versions. Even on a busy weekend night, I noticed: "always served hot and freshly made... quick and friendly service" . Churros are crisp on the outside, light and doughy inside, and generous in size. They even offer a variety of flavors—Nutella, Kinder Bueno, dulce de leche—and clear vegan options . Overall, Xurreria Trebol delivers fast, reliable service 24/7 (on weekends), with top-notch churros that satisfy at any hour. Highly recommend if you want a warm, sweet pick-me-up on your own schedule!

Staff were welcoming & made conversation, quick service and nice atmosphere! We didn't have any food during our visit to L'Atelier but the pinchos looked good!
Megan T — Google review
Experienced amazing empionada's spicy & non spicy flavour on both were incredible The local Cava was a delight & the service was on point 5*
Sarah K — Google review
Nice Pincho place, they have a variety of Pincho, Vegetarian, Meat, chicken, seafood.. etc the price of drinks and food was decent, I got 5 Pinchos and a Vermut for €10.. Overall a good experience.
Sara G — Google review
The place is nice, has a nice atmosphere and the service was also very nice. She took the time to help us choose the Pinxos and also during the evening. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. The spinach croquette was really terrible, sorry, and the tortilla was completely dry. Overall, the selection was smaller, which wouldn't have mattered if the food was of good quality...
Veronika Z — Google review
The tapas of L'Atelier de Blai were good. It is very cheap and has a lot of variety. If you are going this days ask them to heat them up in the oven because if you eat them cold they won't be that good. My favorite one was the tapa of fried gamba and crab. Delicious!
Guillermo S — Google review
Sub proletarian (Lumpenproletariat) and communist bar with a typical communist atmosphere and food. There's a table usually busy with the owner and other communists that discuss the upcoming proletarian revolution. Recommended to all comrades and Soviet nostalgic..
Marc H — Google review
You can't split the bill. Minimum payment by card is 10€ (not sure it is legal) and overall it feels like very tourists oriented.
Oleg L — Google review
Very nice place with very nice people ! I will recommand it to anyone for good and traditional tapas!

Donut shop
Cafeteria
Lukumás, which means donut holes in Greek, is a popular pastry shop with two locations in Barcelona - one in the Gracia area and the other in Raval. The place offers a variety of delicious donuts such as raspberry, cream, chocolate, and lemon. In addition to their delectable donuts, Lukumás also serves specialty coffee that pairs perfectly with their sweet treats.
The donuts are so tasteful. I’ve pick a cinnamon roll and with oreos on top
Carlotta B — Google review
Got a classic donut for a friend. Its good. There was 3 people in front of me and I waited 10 mins.
Megan Y — Google review
These are the greatest donuts in the world. We first visited from London in 2016 and had the lemon chocolate donut. We came back in 2019 and had a blueberry cheesecake donut which we have never forgotten. It is now 2025 and we returned in search of donuts once more. On our first visit we told the owner how the blueberry cheesecake flavour lives on in our hearts. The next day when we returned, we discovered he had made blueberry cheesecake especially for us! 🥰🍩✨ And it was as delicious as we remembered - soft as a cloud ☁️, slightly sour jam cutting through the sugar 🫐, and rich creamy undertones 😋 All the flavours are divine. Lukumas forever 💞
Sukey S — Google review
I had the pleasure of visiting this shop twice on a recent trip to Barcelona - the second trip was planned in spontaneously after an incredible first experience! The shop itself is very aesthetic but does have little seating. The doughnut variety it huge, which made it difficult to pick due to the range of beautiful flavours! On my first trip I chose the lemon cheesecake - this is one of the best doughnuts I have ever had (and I am a doughnut fan over most other baked goods). The doughnut dough itself is so incredibly soft, light, and flavourful. It has a light glaze and the powdered sugar offered some additional sweetness (within the top 3 doughnut doughs i have had in my life, easily). The cheesecake filling is a beautifully smooth consistency, with a distinct cheesecake flavour. This perfectly complimented the lemon (cream?) which was distributed through this. Honestly - an incredible experience! The second time I got the blueberry cheesecake doughnut, which was also incredible though I felt the blueberry could have been a little stronger (or more of it!). The service was super warm and friendly, on both occasions. My friend also got an iced latte, which he said was very good! I would highly recommend you visit this place, even making a special trip if you're a big doughnut fan!
Yasmin J — Google review
Very good yeast raised donut, fluffy and light. The store offered lot of flavors, but we went with the classic glazed. It was a bit on the sweeter side. Wish I had more days to try the other flavors.
Cinnamon D — Google review
Great donuts and coffee for the go. The environment is cozy, but the place is a little bit small and is difficult to find a free table to enjoy your breakfast.
Anestis D — Google review
The best donut in Barcelona!!! Freshly made, the dough is so fluffy and soft. Just the original flavor, u can taste how good are they!!! Can’t wait to go back and try more flavor!
Nicole C — Google review
The dough was really delicious!! The filling I chose was not as good, it was a Dulce de Leche and it was so liquid that it kept falling down from my donut and it was not very pleasant to eat. The taste was good though. The was bellow average, but I'd come back again the donut.

Bakery

Baluard Barceloneta is a renowned bakery nestled in the Barceloneta neighborhood, known for its unrivaled artisanal goods and particularly its sourdough bread varieties. Established in 1892, the bakery prides itself on using organic wheat flour and a meticulous over 12-hour, three-stage fermentation process before baking in wood-fired ovens.
This is hands down the best bakery in Barcelona! It's lively every morning, but absolutely worth the wait. The seating is cozy and limited, yet the charm and energy of the place make up for it. Prices are reasonable, and the fresh pastries and sandwiches are delightful--they even offer the option to toast or heat up the sandwiches. The coffee and cappuccinos are fantastic, too. You can watch the bakers at work through the windows, and the smell of freshly baked bread fills the air. I highly recommend starting your day with breakfast here!
Jamie L — Google review
The vibe was good. The coffee is okay, the chocolate croissant was great! It’s crispy outside with layers. But the cinnamon rolls was quite dry. Don’t get cinnamon rolls instead, get chocolate croissants (Croissant dues xocolates) The staff was very friendly. The price wasn’t expensive. Cafe latte is 1,85€ I will come to try other stuff. And maybe I will change my mind about the patisserie.

Best place near Barcelonata beach. U can grab something really quick and go to the beach and enjoy. 👍must recommend to visit.

The sandwiches are amazing and very filling! The place is decorated in beautiful yellow tones, creating a warm and lively atmosphere. Highly recommended! 🥪💛

My oh my! Chanced upon this place while walking around and went in to take a look. The bakes looked so good it was a feast for the eyes But what was better was this fruit bread. Looked unassuming but man, it was so so good. They definitely did not skimp on the dried fruits (apricot, dates etc) and the hazelnut was the perfect touch as it added a bit of fragrances - Pa De Fruits Secs They charge by weight for this so you can pick how big or small you want We got 3, this, another walnut + raisins and classic white sourdough The other 2 were ok but pls get this fruit bread!

amazing in the morning to grab a pastry and head to the water while the beach is still quiet and empty. 🌊

Best breads in the city without a doubt! Their baguettes are incredible so do other breads and bakery. You can buy ready sandwiches for a picnic at the Barceloneta beach but you can also buy a bread and complement the stuff from supermarket to make your own sandwiches, as I like with mozzarella, avocado and tomato. They also have a cafe just across the street where you can buy coffee and pastries, which is also possible to have a seat and chat or work.

Green & Berry is a trendy spot located on Carrer dEnric Granados, offering a variety of vegan and vegetarian options such as bowls, sweets, burgers, cold-pressed juices, smoothies, and gluten-free treats. The place provides a chic atmosphere with complimentary Wi-Fi, making it an ideal space for work while enjoying their delicious offerings. The menu includes cold-pressed juices, superfood smoothies, poke bowls, vegan sweets, raw treats, shots, sandwiches and salads.
I think we have been here +5 times now the food is so fresh and tasy. I love that you can choose your avocado toast toppings. And their pressed juices are delicious !

Cute little breakfast, brunch or coffee place with lots of vegan options and good coffee. It is self service and only has a few seats so takeout is recommended. Unfortunately my coconut bowl was frozen like solid ice, which didn‘t make it a nice experience and the room resonates a lot which makes it uncomfortable.
Corinna — Google review
The vegan rancheros had cold raw cubes of tofu not tofu scramble as expected. My expectations were high from mh last trip to barcelona where the vegan food was amazing. I was readybto pay and just leave and qnd the waitress.was accomodating and didnt charge me. She said the tofu was cooked. It wasnt. Its not her fault but it was awful. I appreciate yer professionlism and she was very kind and understanding.
Jennifer K — Google review
Absolutely amazing place with amazing choices, especially the sweet corner is insanely good and everything is gluten-free and vegan which makes it perfect for everyone. One of my favourite places in Barcelona
Ella J — Google review
This is how the owners first responded to my feedback, initially replying with a clown face (see screenshot below) which they’ve since deleted. Such unprofessional behaviour is disappointing. The place has great potential, given its beautiful location, but actions like this only demonstrate a lack of professionalism and respect. If you love good matcha, I wouldn't recommend this place, it’s honestly pretty bad. I've read other reviews about the staff being rude, and I can confirm they’re not very friendly or welcoming. There are so many better spots to eat around L’Eixample, so I’d suggest exploring those instead.
L T — Google review
We had some smoothies and bowls at this place when we visited Barcelona last week. The sad thing was, the juices were mostly sold out already but the waitress told us she can prepare any of the smoothies so we went with acai bowls and smoothies - everything tasted really good and we would definitely come again.
Ulrike A — Google review
I was a little worried about eating her after reading some of the reviews but the service was very good! The staff spoke perfect English which was a nice bonus (considering we’re in Barcelona) The vegan food was super tasty and the juices refreshing. Will visit again for sure (Food pictured; scrambled tofu sandwich and shiitake mushroom burger)

Caelum is a charming tea room and artisanal pastry shop located in the old quarter of Barcelona. The bright space with exposed stone walls offers a delightful selection of cakes, pastries, specialty coffees, and an exquisite variety of teas. What sets Caelum apart is that it exclusively sells sweets and products made by monks and nuns from monasteries across Spain.
Very nice & cozy place! Great atmosphere! We got the lemon pie, strawberry pie and a crazy delicious cake with lemon, pistachio, pomegrante and sugar glazing on top. A bit pricey for what it is actually, but I think it is a great experience to have. The stuff was very very nice! 100% Recommend it!

A magical and authentic spot in the heart of Barcelona. This is one of the most charming and unique patisseries I’ve ever been to. At the entrance, you’ll find a lovely selection of artisanal products made by monks and nuns, beautifully displayed and available for purchase — a rare and heartwarming touch that sets the tone for the whole experience. Walk further in and you’ll enter the heart of the patisserie: a cozy space with tables surrounded by an array of pastries, all beautifully presented behind glass. You can simply look, point, and pick what you want — everything is freshly made, and the taste lives up to the visual appeal. The coffee is excellent, and the staff is kind and welcoming. Caelum is a must-do in Barcelona if you’re looking for something traditional, soulful, and delicious.
Mabelle M — Google review
This is one of the most known coffee pasty shops in the Gothic quarters! Near Cathedral Santa Maria del Pi and magnificent Christmas tree store. What makes it special is the pastry that is all hand made by the nuns of the Montserrat monastery!!! We had to stop and try and have coffee there! As you enter you get greeted with a visual of the ancient jewish baths that were once located in that place… you can see the ruins thru the mesh floor. Tons if goodies to look at and to purchase - see my videos. Place is small and can likely fit 5-6 groups at most. Only 1 or 2 workers around and they took their time! Coffee was great! Ask and they can add some alcohol to it… we tried few pastries as well - honestly nothing to die for… but worth the experience!!! Overall - you can certainly find a less expensive place to have coffee and some sweets at - and i am sure it will have its own share of history, but if you want a selfie with a meaning and glamor - give them a shot! Token place to check mark off your list
Dan L — Google review
Definitely don’t recommend the food! I was on my way back to the hotel and saw the macarons and had to stop, but they were definitely a disappointment - a hard cookie with sweet goo on the inside (definitely didn’t have that melt-in-your-mouth feel good macaroons usually do).The place looked so cute and the store had a good selection of packaged goods, however the cafe itself was not good. Such a shame! The staff was super nice but the food was VERY overpriced for what it was - each macaroon was 6 EUR and some change. Wouldn’t come again, felt like a tourist trap.
Paula G — Google review
Have been coming here for about 7 years, at least once every two weeks. Everything about this place is fantastic! Perfect spot to cool down, or warm up depending on the season, and choose from the most delicious pastry along with an array of drinks. I love this place!
Dante P — Google review
Today I visited this cafe. I had high expectations, especially regarding the pastries. I was terribly disappointed! The cakes tasted terrible. The sponge cake with cream was tasteless, leaving a greasy taste in my mouth. But what spoiled me the most was the disgusting service. The female waitress was dismissive of serving. It was as if we were bothering her by coming and asking for our order. I felt terribly awkward being there. I do not recommend it.
Irina U — Google review
It looks amazing from the outside, but the cake and coffee I had inside had no flavor at all. I also ended up paying for the most expensive coffee I’ve had in Barcelona– around €6–7 for a cappuccino. A tourist trap.
Gulbahar M — Google review
Without a doubt it's a beautiful place and I used to take many friends and family to its café and shop whilst living in Barcelona. The last experience was pretty disappointing however. My friend and I ordered a few drinks each, as well as a pastry. Once we received the bill we were completely shocked to see that the pastry I was recommended by one of their employees cost €11 (!!!). I thought they made a mistake and charged us for two, but sadly not. If you are going to recommend a specific pastry, you could mention it costs nearly twice as much as the other ones. I wrote them a couple of emails about it, but as they ignored both of those messages, I decided to leave a review. It's a shame, as it's a lovely place to sit but I won't be recommending it any longer. I get that everyone needs to make a living but you're ripping people off with these kind of prices.

La Pastisseria Barcelona is a relaxed destination that specializes in artistic pastries and cakes for both eating in and taking out. These pastries are absolutely marvelous, with customers raving about their taste and visual appeal. The green "mojito" citrus cake is highly recommended, offering delightful textures, a balanced sweetness, and a tangy flavor. The prices are reasonable, making it worth the visit even if there's a small hike involved.
Absolutely fabulous pastries! Couldn't decide what to try, so I chose 3 different things, each better than the last! Definitely recommend the green "mojito" citrus cake, lovely textures, not too sweet and with a nice tang! Worth the (reasonable) price and small hike! 👌

Marvelous and delicious experience! You should try. All desserts we tasted were approved. Crust on the bottom is delicious, presentation and taste , light, savory…

Lovely place!! It's one of the best patisseries in Barcelona, and the best in the area. The service is great, the girls are very nice, and pastries are simply amazing!! All of them!! You have from croissants to the most delicate and delicious cakes. The only thing I would say is that they use Nespresso and there are loads of better coffees. But they serve it nicely anyway. Highly recommended!!
