One of the best bakeries in Barcelona, the pastries are all so good and freshly baked. The only downside is how popular the café is, too many peope and queue, so I would reccommend to buy the pastries in the bakery instead of staying at its café.

The greatest ensaymada crema cuita! Ordered 6-7 pastries and two coffees for around €12. Amazing authentic local pastries for cheap. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

One of the best bakery I have tried so far, this is an extremely popular location where locals and tourists alike come to enjoy the freshly baked pastries. You get the ticket at the entrance and wait to be served. I sadly won't have time to try each and everyone of their pastries and I wish I could, they are all super tasty

All the food looked good. The server was so rude though. I asked if she spoke English. Then asked what something was. She rolled her eyes at me and was rushing me to make a decision, but nothing was in English. No need to rush me and be rude when there were no other customers in the shop. Definitely need to work on friendly customer service. I will never go there again.

We had some great ENSAIMADA CREMA CUITA for €2.05 (a pastry with cream) and TORTEN DE MASSAPA for €2.25 (a sugar bun with marzipan inside.) If you go upstairs, there's a cute terrace with seating.

I got the Pistachio cream croissant and a jamon sandwich. The pistachio cream croissant could’ve been a little flakier and lighter but it was still good. Also they had the perfect amount of pistachio cream in the croissant. Also, the pistachio cream isn’t too sweet. The jamon sandwich was pretty good. It was flavorful. However, the bread was a bit dry. Overall this place was very nice and lovely.

The coffee was very creamy and I tried the Cream filled Croissant. It tasted good. My husband enjoyed the butter croissant which is named as the best in Spain twice. I think it was great but I guess if they warm and serve, it will taste better. ✨😊

They won the Spanish bestza croissant in 2020. In the tourist area. There will be many tourists. There are separate doors for dine-in and take-out. My favorite cream strawberry croissant. But I was told that there was no croissant in the last few times I went. The waiter will hope that you will leave early after eating. If you come to Barcelona, you can try it.

My wife and I have been in Barcelona for the past 4 days. On our second day here we passed BRUNELLS and saw a sign in the window stating that they won an award in 2020 for the best butter croissant in Spain. As lovers of croissants we had to try Brunells’ butter croissants. After eating one butter croissant and one crema croissant (1/2 each) we both agreed that Brunells’ was the best we’ve ever had. We have come back each day to have another tasting and found their wonderful croissants consistently great. Best ever anywhere. This includes croissants which we have had in approximately 70 different countries, including France. So when you visit Barcelona be sure to stop in and try their croissants for yourself. You will not be disappointed. P. S. They make a great cappuccino also. Enjoy

One more good place with amazing croissants! There are big choice of flavours, besides they have seasonal offers. Interior might be cozy and more stylish, so as a rule we take stuff to go.

We bought three different pieces to try them, all of them croissants and they were very nice, I’m not sure if “the best”, but certainly very good. Three times the price of what they are in France 😅 or other places in Spain for that matter. It was very nice to know they have a cafe area where you can sit for a while.

Two years ago was a better experience. In all sincerity I had this time the cake at 2 pm. Maybe it was too late… one can never know. The cakes are average. Unfortunately, the expectation were very high. The place looks a bit run down. I was looking forward to come back but a tad disappointed. UPDATE: We had as well an almond cake. It was quite unsatisfactory. To be sure that is not I, next day got the same type of cake from a local no-nonsense bakery. The later was more elaborate and better tasting, hands down. Quite unnerving given the difference in perceived standards.

Loved both things I took! Avocado/Rucula sandwish + Fig pastry, and even came back for seconds. I’ve been trying to find a bakery that tastes as good throughout Barcelona, but to no avail, Funky Bakers is where it’s at. Def recommend.

Honestly one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever had! Funky Bakery absolutely nailed it — light, creamy, and perfectly balanced. It’s decadent but somehow not too heavy, which makes it dangerously easy to eat the whole piece aloneeee 😅 The vibe of the place is chill. Yes, you can find other places that are "less expensive" however this place is super solid. I had to come back for lunch because their sandwiches are just incredible. The best sandwich I ever had in my life and I am not a sandwhich person. I live in Chicago and its probably silimiar in price for a sandwhich back home from a local small business Cafe. Great location. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Best cheesecake I’ve had so far. Agree that it’s better than Joncake. Having their cheesecake with coffee was one of the best meals we had on our visit to Barcelona. Still thinking about it now, wishing we could try more of their desserts! Don’t miss Funkybakers!

Best basque cheesecake in Barcelona! Was super yummy and thoroughly enjoyed the smooth and creamy cheesecake!

On our way to Barceloneta Beach, we decided to grab some sandwiches and have breakfast by the beach. We liked the sandwiches so much that the next day we went back, tried different ones, and also picked up some croissants. We even grabbed chocolate pastries for lunch. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this place to everyone. The staff was incredibly helpful and sweet. When we mentioned we were tourists, they recommended some great spots to visit. Thank you for everything! <3

Amazing cakes. This is a VERY high-end cake shop. Cakes made to order. Customise it how you like. Just don’t expect it to be cheap. They do breakfasts and lunches too. A wide selection of off-the-shelf cakes and sweets available too. This place is historical and its reputation not only exceeds it but it is well deserved. Wedding, birthday and cakes for all occasions. You won’t be disappointed… even if you are a little poorer.

Coffee not the best ever, but the cakes!!! Not as expensive as they could be, and absolutely delicious. I chose what I thought was a fairly simple one, a biscuit filled with pistachios. Melts in your mouth . Going to treat myself again very soon

Pricey AND very disappointing. For 2.20€ a croissant, you’d expect a very good one. It was pretty bland and dry (low on butter judging by the smell). The cappuccino was pretty bitter, not a good coffee. But the worst part of the experience were the almond croissants. I don’t know what they slathered inside but it was definitely not the traditional frangipane and my stomach went upside down. To me, it smelt and looked like raw custard (and if this is what it was then it’s a health hazard for pregnant women and people with a weak immune system). In any case, very unpleasing biting into that unaware. Went straight to the bin.

We loved this place so much. We were in Barcelona for five days in a nearby hotel and every day we came to Escriba. Delicious place! Everything is made with care and professionalism and the result is special and original. The service was great. On the last day, we saw how a video was being filmed in honor of an upcoming holiday and we got to see the people who are responsible for the desserts. We felt the beating heart of the place.

The pastry culture in Spain is very different from that in Turkey. This is an old pastry shop. The products are like homemade. They won't surprise you when you eat them, but I still think you should definitely go and buy something. The products I bought were delicious.

A lovely old bakery in El Gothic Quarter with the best xuixo in Barcelona! Crispy outside, creamy inside, and full of flavor. The place has so much charm and history a true local gem you shouldn’t miss.

Oh, you absolutely have to check out this adorable bakery tucked away in the heart of old town Barcelona! It’s perfect for a leisurely stroll through the Gothic Quarters. The menu is a feast for the eyes! We tried the “Bulgar De Trufa” and “Sacher,” and wow, they were absolutely delicious. The texture was just amazing, and the taste stayed with us for ages! I’m already dreaming of going back.

Finally got to try xuixo de crema from this popular patisseria. In fact, my first bite upon arriving in Barcelona. It wasn’t as sweet and silky as I had initially imagined and thankfully for that, I didn’t feel as guilty finishing one up while still having appetite for dinner afterwards. The staff were cheerful and very efficient despite the long queues. Definitely worth trying the other goodies they have on offer.

OK, maybe this place is a bit touristy, all the tour groups seem to be stopping by, but they have a lot of traditional pastries at reasonable prices; Xiuxo de Creme, Croissants and Palmiers and Coca de Llardons are my favorite. Get something sweet and a coffee and sit on one of the benches outside the Jaume I metro station. and watch the people go by.

Yesterday I bought an enacasada con crema y nata and it was amazing. 5 out of 5. Lot's of filing inside. Today I came to buy it again and I'm extremely disappointed. This enacasada has just a drop of cream, the rest is just dough. It's nothing compared to yesterday's. I wouldn't pay 3.5 euros for just a piece of dough.

2025/09 The Basque cheesecake was very good with a strong, rich flavour. We chose the classic one and really enjoyed it. There was a long queue, but we only waited around 15 minutes, which wasn’t bad. However, if you have to wait much longer, it might not feel quite special enough to justify the time. Still, a great treat if you catch it at the right moment!

The cheesecake here is incredibly creamy, rich, and perfectly baked with that slightly caramelized top — simple but so delicious. The flavor is just right, not too sweet, and it melts in your mouth. The shop itself is small but cozy, and you can really feel the passion behind their desserts. Definitely one of the best cheesecakes I’ve ever had in Barcelona!

This was the best cheesecake I’ve ever had in my life and if anyone tells you otherwise, they’re a fool. Going back tomorrow. Update: I came back again and may need to return a third time. So far here’s my ranking: 1) classic: creamy, balanced, earth shattering 2) chocolate + coffee: amazing and slightly bitter dark chocolate flavor - didn’t taste very much coffee 3) brie: incredible, melty flavor, slightly less sweet than the classic 4) salted caramel: delicious, sweeter than the above three

Don’t expect the Cheesecake Factory when you try Joncake. There are no toppings, and the texture is extremely airy and creamy. The flavor profile is also surprising, quite savory and cheesy in nature. We tried three different flavors – gorgonzola, pistachio, and classic. The gorgonzola version was way too cheesy and strong for me, but my wife loved it. I particularly loved the flavor of their pistachio cheesecake. There is always a long line up front, but it moves very quickly. Yes, it’s a very touristy spot, but it’s well worth it.

This is the best cheesecake in the world. I am not exaggerating. I don’t even like cheesecake and I fell in love with this one from the first bite. The cheese is ever so subtle and the cakes have the consistency of a soft ganache but not overly sweet. A perfect balance of texture, sweetness, tartness of cheese… beautiful. Come early and queue. They sell out fast!!! Must try the choc cheesecake. You must!!

It was well worth the 30min wait in line. Best cheesecake I’ve ever had. Mind blown with how creamy and umami it was without being too sweet. Melt in your mouth creamy delight for the senses. Line up situation could be better organized as it can block the street. Questioned if it was worth the wait, but boy oh boy I wanted to jump back in line to try another. Cakes are sold by weight so get as big or small of a slice as you like. Cheddar beer was surprisingly amazing. The salty flavour worked so well. Their cheesecake lives rent free in my mind. Never had anything like it outside of Barcelona. Fishmuler makes a decent gorgonzola cheesecake that’s similar in texture and flavour, but this one is next level.

If you’re in Barcelona, you cannot miss Jon’s Cheesecake. Its the most yummiest of cheesecakes I’ve had. I was blown away. Its priced at 35€/Kg and you have more options like chocolate and coffee, salted caramel and gorgonzola which i believe was a limited edition. Go before 5pm and do try the traditional one

The hotel we stayed at in Barcelona recommended this place! We went one morning for a pastry and it was so good!! I will be going back! There was a small line but it went fast and 100% worth the wait!

Small coffee and pastry shop in the Gracia neighborhood. Coffee was excellent as well as the pastries. Be warned there is no indoor seating so you place your order and your coffee is freshly made and given to you through an open window like area if theres a line inside. Unfortunately the morning I went it was slightly raining. Overall excellent food and service, I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

Came here twice during my early-October visit to Barcelona. Loved the coffee and the pastries — fresh, flaky, and perfect for a morning walk. There’s no seating so it’s takeaway only, but honestly that made it even more fitting to grab a cup and pastry and wander the streets. Definitely worth stopping by.

Excellent coffee and bakery in Eixample. The croissants and cappuccino were amazing. Well priced and very tasty. It's a to go place so be prepared to sit nearby on some stairs or enjoy it while walking.

This bakery has the best sourdough bread I have ever eaten. And I've eaten lots of sourdough in my life. Highly recommend the origo loaf!

My new favourite bakery in Gracia area. Located in a beautiful quite street, they have the best pain au chocolates. The staff is very kind, the coffee is good, the variety of the pastries is great. I would appreciate a little area or a bench maybe to enjoy my quick coffee with croissant moment but that’s okay as it’s close to several squares.

On Sunday morning we went to this place which is rating so good. But we are so disappointed. First of all super expensive compare to quality. The quality of the dough of croissants are not matching the price of it. At the end we ordered three type of croissants and didnt enjoy. Although the coffee was okey.

Little bakery/coffee shop tucked away from Diagonal. Good for parents as kids can play in the playground while they grab something to eat/drink. Avocado toast was average but expensive. Lemonade was fresh and not overly sweet, i loved it. My partner ordered coffee which was a disappointment after hoping for a barista/specialty coffee seeing Nomad brand displayed.

The staff and service are top notch. However I am not over the fact this place sells half sandwiches . If you see a 1/2 bikini sandwich on display for around 4 or 5euro, please not you will be paying for half a sandwich and not a full one. I know Poblenou has gotten gentrified but this is a stretch...

The food is very good, but in my opinion the prices are a bit high. The staff is amazing, but the place is pretty small.

I have tried the black forest cake. Sometimes gluten free cake can be a bit try and rough. This one was very moist and the amount of cream was perfect. It was about 8 euros which is fair for good gluten free cakes. The portion was good. It is actually bigger than how it looks on the photo. They also have a decent coffee. No washroom.

I’m a big cheesecake lover, and this place did not disappoint! I tried the pistachio one, it was delicious, with a soft, well-balanced flavor. The portion is big enough to share if you want. There are a few tables inside, but it’s also very convenient to grab it to go.

Handmade wonderful pastries and chocolate. You can watch them make it so you know it is true. I had a cheesecake with pistachio cream and it was delicious. Soft, creamy and moist. It too sweet and with real pistachio taste. The bottom was soft but crunchy. The cappuccino was nice.

Lovely woman behind the counter let us sit even though it was close to closing and she even brought us water. The vanilla cake with berries might have been my favorite dessert in Barcelona. The caramel cheesecake was good. We also had a cookie, which was too sweet for my taste, but my husband enjoyed it.

Amazing! We got Donut with Kinder, it is really good for those who like very sweet ( I am one of those ). The other thing is called Rolie, it is a biscuit with raspberries and inside there is cinnamon rolls. Amazing! Not that sweet but really nice and smooth. I recommend this place. I ordered the pistachio and the ravioli, and both were absolutely divine, but the pistachio was IT! 🤩 Estefania was incredible!! she took the time to explain each dessert and even pointed out the best sellers, which made the experience even more special. You can truly see the artistry and care that goes into every single creation here. The desserts aren’t just delicious; they’re a true work of art. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t regret it!

Pastries were good! Life-changing? No. But yes, if you're in the area, give the pastries a try. We had the famous mascarpone croissant and a chocolate pastry as well which was very crisp. Both were good! There was a bit of a wait getting inside just because the shop is quite small, but staff move quickly.

We also tried the raspberry croissant (a bit too tart for my taste) and the strawberry cheesecake croissant (nice fillings but the sugar encrusted croissant was a bit too sweet). I first visited Hofmann four years ago and the croissants were absolutely unforgettable. This time, I went back as soon as I arrived in Barcelona, but unfortunately the flavor was not the same. They weren’t bad, just rather standard, and not worth waiting in line for. The almond filling was overly sweet for my taste. Also, there’s no place to sit, so it’s more of a quick takeaway spot than a café experience.

I was worried this TikTok inspired visit would be more beautiful than delicious but it was well worth the trip. The volcano was slightly difficult to eat without a proper fork but still delicious. Pistachio pastry (not the pistachio shaped one) was heavenly. Limit of six in store made it so nice to choose as well.

Overrated and rude staff. Tasty cinammon buns true. But three times I went there, not a lot of options. It’s you and your luck I guess. Tried red velvet cookie. It’s good but honestly can find it anywhere else. Tried the caramel iced latte, TOO MUCH MILK and almost no coffee, when I asked her to add coffee, her and her colleague to light I didn’t speak Spanish or understand it… well guess what … I did. They mocked and then they laughed and look at me up and down. Mean girl energy …. Anyway OVERRATED. Mean staff just rude, no smiling, they order super quick don’t even give you time to do anything really … Won’t go again

Very big and nice variety of pastries. Apple cinnamon roll was really great, very soft, not overly sweet, with nice contrast of sour apples. The cookie was not great. It was a vegan cookie so I would give their (non-vegan) cookies another chance. This one was very hard on the outside and the jam was not tasty enough. But nice place with a park nearby where you can enjoy your pastries.

After spending all day in Barcelona getting trampled by tourists at the Gaudi buildings this is a great place to stop for a piece of focaccia, some giant cookies and a beer. Big selection of delicious fluffy chewy focaccia topped with a variety of excellent ingredients. Cookies are big and sweet, can't each just one. Good location one of the main streets. Grab a piece of focaccia and wander the narrow streets down to the beach.

“Expectation: wow! Reality: meh.” Stopped by Demasié for their famous cinnamon rolls. Expectations were high, but sadly they didn’t live up to the hype. As you can see from the photo, the presentation wasn’t exactly mouthwatering, and the taste was around a 6/10 for me. A bit dry, not that fluffy warmth you’d hope for. Maybe they’re amazing when fresh out of the oven, but mine felt like it missed that golden window. Nice concept, but overall… not approved (at least this time). Probably wouldn’t go back unless someone guarantees a freshly baked one.

The pastries are so tasty, personal favourite is the pistachio bun! It’s not too sweet but so soft and doughy with a lovely filling. This is a takeaway only place serving a variety of vegan cakes, cookies, tarts, and more. After seeing rave reviews I had high hopes for this! Maybe I just didn’t get the best dish but the chocolate tart was alright, not amazing. It felt more like an icing sugar based thing than a ganache which is what I was expecting from its appearance, and overall was a bit dry with the large crumbly biscuit base. However the staff was lovely. It would be more helpful to have labels because as each customer came in she had to go through every one again. Also currently you cannot pay via card only cash or bank transfer (not sure if this is easily accessible for foreigners).

I was there and received such a warm and friendly welcome. You immediately feel comfortable and welcome. We were even allowed to try something before we made our decision. If I had to say something about the food, I don't know how? I don't have the words! It tastes incredibly delicious and it feels like a flavour explosion. Try the treats shown in the photo! Nice little place with friendly 100% vegan staff! We bought a brownie and a tiramisu. Forgot to take a photo of the brownie, but if you like chocolate sweets then it was perfect it was sooo rich. It kept me smiling all day. The tiramisu was really nice, could taste good coffee in it. I recommend to stopping here, wish we had couple of more days there to try out their croissants.

Super cool place in the heart of Gracia. Vegan and tasty cakes and pastels. I tried one with dulce de leche and fruit and it was really nice although very sweet. I couldn't eat it all but nice really. The prices are around 5 euros each piece. The staff is amazing, so nice and kind and helpful. The ambience is cool in Gracia style

“Amazing pastry” falls short. Everything is vegan so you go in expecting to find things that go well with vegan cuisine. But hold on to your shoes! Big surprise when you try some of their delicacies and they taste the same or better than non-vegan ones! The “alfajores de maicena” are spectacular (although with a touch more lemon; but nothing compares to those made by your grandmother or your mother, right?). Cookies are also a delight.

I ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday. I asked for it to be two-tiered because last year there was only cream on the top, and it felt like I had just decorated a dry sponge cake myself. A proper cake should have cream layers inside, not just cake plus cream. When I went to pick it up, there was a huge, exaggerated, overly puffy cake, as big as you see om photo. The person who handed it to me treated me like a "tacky" customer. The cake was so heavy that when I asked for a bag, they said the box was enough. Guess what happened? The cardboard tore, and the cake fell to the ground. A Catalan lawyer who was passing by with his dog helped me and insisted that I file an official complaint. I went back to ask for a correction. I’ve been ordering from you for about four years. I’m tired of the repeated mistakes and the mocking attitude of the gentleman there. I didn’t file a complaint against you, but if veganism weren't involved, I wouldn't support your business.

Good place to go if you have a sweet tooth. Everything is vegan. Staff really friendly. You can‘t sit inside, but there are places around the corner, where we sat on a bench and ate in the sun. We ordered a chocolate croissant, a carrot cupcake and a tiramisu (in a jar). Overall good, but both the croissant and the cupcake were a bit dry, the frosting a bit too sweet for our taste. Will definitely come back for some cookies and update this. The owner mentioned they have a lot more to choose from on the weekends.

The bread with raisins (picture below) looked way better than it tasted. To be honest, the outer crust seemed delicious. However, it ended up tasting rather questionable. It was dry and lacked any flavor. In my opinion, they should add some cream inside to make it more palatable. The cost was 3€. I want to come back someday to try their croissants. People say they're good. We'll see. For now, my first impression was negative.

The store clerk did not understand English. Since there was no price tag, I used Google Translate to ask for the price of the product, but the clerk pointed with their finger to an amount less than half of the actual price. After the purchase, I found out the actual price and felt very uncomfortable.

The reason behind this number is because they don't accept American Express. Gjven the prices that they are charging, they should at least try to match customers expectations, and make it easy for customers to buy

One of the best bakeries in Barcelona with award winning master baker Daniel Jordà. Having this trove in our local neighborhood is priceless. There was a BC and AD regarding bread at home when we found this place. As the name suggests these breads are indeed creative. He even makes panettone that puts most Italian versions circulating in Barcelona to shame. Our Christmas is happier!

Off one of the side streets, Bubo is simply a hidden delight. The cakes look like works of art and the taste and textures amazing. The staff are very knowledgeable, patient, helpful and generous. Would recommend taking a detour to visit and indulge yourselves.

I do recommend the 'jade cake' it is perfect for this summer, the citric of lime, and different texture of it was amazing that compliment to each other. Some of the best croissants I had in barcelona. They have a limited selection, but each flavor is sophisticated and delicious. The croissants are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, with generous, flavorful fillings. They were also large enough to be a satisfying breakfast on their own. While the place itself is quite fancy, the pastries are actually quite affordable. I love having breakfast here with friends or people who visit me. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect place to start the day. Plus I love the people working there, they are always so nice and helpful!!

Baluard on Provença stays at the top of my list because the team actually keeps the room cool and dry, a small miracle in Barcelona’s summer. Walk in and the modern-rustic bakery opens into a bright back area filled with greenery and plenty of seating, while a separate counter up front moves the take-away line quickly. The temperature control pays off in every bite. Pastries come out crisp and flaky, never limp. The almond croissant shatters perfectly, buttery without feeling heavy, and the lemon pop cake surprised me in the best way, light and bright with just enough zest to keep me going back for one more forkful. Service seals the deal. Alida greeted us with the kind of warmth that makes you feel like a regular, offered tasting notes on a few local specialties, and treated each order with care. I am already planning a return trip to work through the rest of the Spanish pastries and snag that triple-chocolate croissant I eyed on the way out.

Very nice pastry selection and croissants especially the fruit long one with chocolate . I would definitely come back for that. Although they lost one star for the coffee which was just a machine and the sandwiches were nice but not as good as their pastries. Overall will be back for the pastries and skip the sandwiches and coffee.

I’d venture that np this is not just the best bakery in Barcelona, or in Spain, but in Europe. Maybe that’s a little over the top, but we came here from Paris, where we were generally disappointed that the croissants and baguette quality seemed to have declined compared to previous trips. Then we experienced Baluard and were so excited to have flaky, buttery croissants again that we made it a daily stop. Sandwiches are also excellent. Only negative is that our Americanos were weak and watery, even for an Americano.

Visiting Barcelona for two days and incidentally bumped into this hidden gem, we don't understand the names of the pastries but they just look good on shelf, staff are friendly and try to help even we don't speak local language, overall very good and you should have a try when passing by.

My pastry was Outstanding. Crispy, with perfect vanilla custard inside. We ate on a bench. Perfect lunch.

Lovely selection of baked goods, very hard to choose! The pastry of the berry tart was light and easy to cut. The chocolate cupcake was almost too chocolatey! We wanted a slightly more solid “cookie” base on the cheesecake, but nevertheless it went down very well. The coffee was yummy and the milk creamy. A clean bathroom, downstairs, with soap, hot water and a powerful hand dryer. Recommended.

I only ordered a ham & cheese croissant and coffee. It was tasty. I sat at the back which has 16 covers. There's always a queue here so expect to wait. They had a good selection of gluten free sweet & savoury breads, pastries and cakes/sweets. They also had panetonnes and larger cakes and take advance orders. It apparently is a business that dates back to 1930 and a long history of baking breads and cakes gluten-free. I would definitely come back to try more of their products.

My favourite gluten free bakery in Barcelona. I recommend the apple pastry and the xuixos. All the pastry is excellent, nice and flaky and not cake like which you fill find in other bakeries. They also offer a wide range of patisserie style cakes which are excellent too. I visit every time I am in the city. A must visit!

Excellent! Visiting from a country that is not very friendly with gluten free and celiac disease. You cannot tell the difference from non-GF pastries. They are amazing! And the team is very friendly. We were able to get to know the history of the bakery and how committed they are to making safe and quality gf products. Must visit if celiac!

I LOVE THIS PLACE I’m from Scotland and I’ve come to Barcelona a second time simply because I missed their pastries. Their xuxos are so yummy and so are the cinnamon buns and apple danish. This place is always busy in the mornings but the service is still so good. Please never ever change. Can’t wait to be back

Every time I visit this small gluten-free bakery, I can’t control myself and end up buying lots of treats! Gluten-free products are usually more expensive . The staff is always busy but very kind. I highly recommend trying their Melindros —they’re amazing! Whether you follow a gluten-free diet or not, you must try their Croissant Ametlla and Cinnamon Roll. The best part? Their gluten-free goodies leave you feeling light and inflammation-free. Highly recommended!

I have been here twice now. Once in 2023 and then 2025 and the standard still remains extremely high. They produce delicious cupcakes with heavenly icing. My favourite is the red velvet. A lovely treat to bring and sit in the park in front of the Sagradia. The staff are so lovely

Our celebration was small and intimate, just 11 people, and the team at La Cava Celebration made it feel absolutely perfect. They created such a warm and welcoming space for us and our families. They even played music for us, which allowed me to dance with my husband, my dad, and for my husband to dance with his mom. The cupcakes were absolutely delicious, and everything they provided fit so well within our budget. The booking process was super easy, and they took care of everything, which allowed us to simply enjoy the day stress-free. One of the highlights was the cava tree, with champagne glasses and sparkling lights (like little fireworks). It added a wonderful, celebratory touch that made the evening feel extra special. We organized a bachelorette party for a friend here and it was absolutely amazing! 💕 The bride-to-be loves cava and creative workshops, so we chose the Cupcake Frosting Party — and we totally loved it. The owner is super nice and professional, she even decorated the place with bachelorette party motifs and prepared the perfect playlist to match the vibes. The atmosphere was cozy and fun, the cava delicious 🥂, and the cupcakes… wow! 🧁💖 It was such a unique experience. Totally recommendable for any event, but especially bachelorette parties, baby showers or birthdays.

BEWARE OF HOW MUCH THEY CHARGE YOU - I paid €16,5 for a glass of cava + cupcake (€9) and one cupcake (€4,5) which should’ve been €13,5. Everyone can make a mistake, but €3 is almost a whole other cupcake… I should’ve brought it up, but only realized it after I left. All I can do now is to warn others to double check before paying!!!

If you're looking for classic donuts, deep fried 🥰 you will be disappointed. Those donuts are good but not what I expected. Donuts are really bulky, and they're too much filling inside. I think the price is good. People and the place is really nice. For me, it's the place you should try, but nothing to visit again.

I went this morning the La Do. There was an older gentleman who looked already bothered by entering the place. There was no "Hola" or "Buenos Dias"; he didn't look that happy that I wanted to order something. I ordered a Cappuccino with oat milk. I got a hot coffee with some hot milk, no foam or something that could be a cappuccino. I was disappointed; this experience does not make me want to come back.

Interesting selection of donut flavours, but poor experience overall on my most recent visit. I had been to La Donuteria previously (and enjoyed it), and had starred it on my map to visit again. I was in the neighbourhood again, and popped by for a donut and coffee. The donut selection is good -- interesting flavours / combinations. Dough is good (yeasty and fairly soft) though a bit dry. I've found a couple of their donuts to be a bit too sweet for me, but that's subjective. I ordered an Americano with my most recent donut, and it tasted quite bad (rancid) -- unlike any coffee I've had before (and I am very into coffee). It tasted like the machine was broken or there some sort of contamination of the water. It was super watery (visually and body) but had an off flavour. I had a few sips and also asked my friends to try it, who also said it tasted off. I asked the staff member about it, to see if they could try it and see if they thought it was off also. The staff member said she had made it as usual way, and that there is nothing wrong with it (without trying it). She calls over the other staff member (male) who very authoritatively says there is nothing wrong and "maybe you don't like the coffee -- it's a blend of 8 different beans from our local roaster". I said this wasn't a result of a blend or bean variety issue, given my experience with coffee. I didn't drink the rest of it and left it on the counter for staff to dispose of (since we didn't want to put it in the garbage can in case the bottom would leak). The male staff member angrily threw it away. Decent donuts, but bad experience. I won't be back.

While we initially thought the prices were a bit high, the treats ended up being really good and surprisingly filling. The Venue: The place is small and narrow, but it's cute and neat. It's perfect for grabbing something quick to eat. There's a big counter where you can stand and eat. What we ordered: - Sugar Brioche: It was incredibly soft and tasty. I really liked it. -Baguette Sandwich: This was huge and delicious! What I liked most was the bread. Sometimes that kind of bread can be hard to chew, but this one was perfectly soft. Service: Nice, friendly service. Parking: No dedicated parking lot. Final Thoughts: It's a great spot for a quick, tasty bite. The treats were fresh and satisfying. I would definitely come back on my next visit to the Sagrada Familia.

Great little bakery right across from Sagrada Família. They have a wide selection of sandwiches, drinks, and croissants. I had the salmon bagel — it was fresh and tasty, priced at €7.50. The lemonade was also really good (€3.50). I was recommended to try the pistachio croissant — it wasn’t exactly my favorite, but I appreciated that it wasn’t overly sweet. Definitely a nice spot for a quick and decent bite in the area.

Maybe be a little friendlier next time and if not customer service probably isn’t where you’re suppose to be.

This place is amazing! The tendermen are so cute you walk by the shop and can't say no to try out at least one of them 🤩 The dough is a bit heavy but the fillings are mesmerising and makes the whole concept a complete sugar rush 😂 I love that!! Couldn't eat more then one at a seat but definitely would take once or twice a week if there would be something similar where I came from. Fantastic idea! The takeaway boxes are awesome as well. It's just a small place. So it's better to take away and go to the nearest bench outside. I would say cinnamon roll was good. But cappuccino with oat milk was not up to my expectations as they probably use the cheapest version of oat milk. Service was good though he was friendly & attentive and speak good English as my Spanish was not tht good.

I had to ask three times to make sure everything was both vegan and gluten free (it is) because I simply couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I haven’t had a croissant in 10 years…everything was absolutely incredible. I wish they were more cafe style with seating but I stood and ate like I had never eaten before. The staff were incredible (and allowed me to practice my Spanish) and patiently reassured me that everything was indeed both vegan and gluten free. I will be flying back to Barcelona solely for this place.

I came one day few minutes before closing, got baguette and alfabrownie- excellent, makes you wonder if it’s gluten-free and vegan because it tastes too good. The next day i came back to buy donut, it was so delicious that after first taste i run back for two more. Great place with lovely stuff, who deserves to be mentioned by name, i am very sorry that i forgot it. If you meet lady with name starting with F - she is a keeper and very nice person.

I had high expectations based on the reviews. The pastries are gluten-free and definitely look appealing. I tried a cheese and ham croissant and a donut. Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy either. Seriously the best gluten free pastries I have ever tasted! We are in Barcelona for a month & this is the third gluten free bakery I have tried. Hands down the BEST! They are open Thursday - Sunday & I have been counting the days each week dreaming of another donut😋.

They have a few shops but i think only this one has a sitting area. It’s a very cute bakery with some amazing looking breads and pastries. A lot of people get their croissant but since i’m not a fan of puff pastry, i had the cardamom roll instead and it was delicious. It’s not overly sweet, soft yet chewy, it’s perfect with the espresso! Their coffee is very good too! I believe the locals love this bakery too. Don’t miss it if you are in Barcelona!

Origo Bakery is a wonderful spot. The first time I visited, I was lucky enough to try a Madagascar-style dessert — a flaky pastry with mascarpone and pear — and it was incredibly delicious. I wanted to get it again the next day but it was already sold out, so don’t be late! Definitely recommended: great dessert and great coffee.

Honestly the coffee and pastries are amazing. I feel the coffee is slightly overpriced especially if you’re getting an iced coffee (somehow it’s almost €5?!) but the quality is there so if that’s your thing then definitely come. Aesthetically it’s so nice, there’s a girl that works there who’s also super nice and cool that you can see the kitchen where they make everything. Average around €3-€4 for a pastry but for me worth it as they’re all so tasty. I’ve actually never sat in as I’d recommend take away and walking round the corner to sit on Parlament in the street and enjoying the atmosphere of the best neighbourhood in Barcelona ;)

Origo stands out in Barcelona when it comes to pastries and baked goods. Pastries are really too quality, one with cream - probably best pastry I have ever had. However, focaccia was dry and sad, even beautiful mortadella did not save it. So it is not the 5 but certainly 4.5+ Also, coffee is just spot on. Highly recommended

I saved this bakery since they have good reviews and we rent an appartment nearby. The bakery is very clean/minimalistic. They have sour dough bread and some pastries. The medialuna's are heaven! They are super fluffy sweet and almost taste like cake. We went back to get them for a second time. Also the service is good. Friendly and explaining the different pastries. What a place! We ordered something simple, sourdough with a few home made dip options to sit outside with for a mini picnic. My brother who lives in Barcelona recommended this place for my Mum's 60th Birthday so we could all have cake. It was a great idea so we could choose our favourite cakes, everything looked so gorgeous! . We had Lemon and Blackberry Cake, Pistachio and Orange Cake and Caramel Shortbread and we all absolutely loved it. The Orange juice was fresh and lovely and all our hot drinks were really nice. The owner (I assume!) was really nice and spoke fluent English, really nice place inside and out. Would 100% come along again. There are lots of vegan cakes/pastries too!! Also visited the toilet inside which was very clean!

They have amazing quality of vegan cakes and cookies, I tried three different vegan cakes and oat chocolate cookies and they all taste very dense and amazing! If this bakery were near my home, I might become fat so fast,, so maybe I am lucky not to live in Barcelona.. The croissant looked beautiful and like a piece of art. Just perfect. She didnt make it home and I ate her on a bench. Really nice! I had het late in the day fl a croissant but she still was lovely and fresh tasting and full of buttery loveliness. It’s an absolute must to have a try if you’re in Barcelona and are a croissant fan.

The pistacho one does not even remotely taste like pistacho, just green sugar syrup. In the hazelnut one you can feel some nutty flavors, but again, nothing to write home. But the eggplant vegetable empanada i had was god awful. i’m not even a picky eater, i dont really leave reviews, but i swear something tasted so off about that dish. i’m sure the other confections are great, but i would avoid the savory stuff, especially if you’re vegetarian. not sure if they cook the insides in a meaty oil or something, but it tasted so wrong.

Shop keepers were not outstanding, doing the bare minimum when we visited. Overall a good spot, if you're looking for a place to sit down; otherwise there are better alternatives.
