Takeout Restaurant
Restaurant
Soaring Dragon Chinese Restaurant is a casual Chinese-American eatery that offers traditional dishes in a relaxed environment. It has gained popularity among patrons from Lubbock and Amarillo who make it a point to visit every time they are in town. The food is both tasty and hygienic, served in an inviting atmosphere with exceptional service. Even though non-local customers cannot frequent the restaurant often, the staff always remembers their orders accurately. A special mention goes to their perfectly prepared tofu dishes.
This place has amazing food! I am definitely an avid Chinese foodie (I have had a lot of different Chinese food from different cities), and hands down one of the best places I have had Chinese food from! I am from out of town so had to swing by to try it. It did not disappoint! I had to try their Sesame Chicken and it was moist and the sauce was spot on! It was made with white meat and extremely good!! We also got the chicken with cashew nut and it was also extremely delicious! I enjoyed their food so much I got another to go the next day! The service was also very good! The servers and staff were extremely nice, attentive and friendly! Great atmosphere as well!! Highly recommend this restaurant and food! The flavors and lunch specials will not disappoint!!

We arrive at 2:30pm in time for their lunch special. I had the vegetables with added chicken with brown sauce. My husband had Kung Po Triple. The food was very good . The special came with soup and choice of egg roll or another appetizer and rice. Once they took our order they were very attentive. They also offer a dinner special starting at 3 that is similar to the lunch special . They are closed on Tuesdays.

Ordered for take out. Friendly staff & easy phone ordering. Food order was accurate, fresh && super yummy! Can’t wait to try more menu options!

We were greeted by friendly staff as soon as we entered and was seated immediately. Our waiter was attentive and quick! I absolutely love the atmosphere here, light music playing in the background with beautiful lights everywhere. I ordered the Chicken Lo Mein with Crab Rangoons and my husband had the Sesame Chicken and fried rice with the Crab Rangoons as well. Everything was spot on and delicious, as always!

The food was great, one of the best chinese places we've tasted in Texas, I've tried several chinese places in the deep south, Western and Eastern part of Texas. Customer service was great as well. Our server was Kai, and he was very attentive. To top it off, prices were amazing.
Tracy V — Google review
This place was recommended to me by some very sweet locals and I was not disappointed! The workers were friendly and welcoming. It was nice how fast the food came out, too; didn't even wait 10 mins! I got Sweet and Sour Chicken, which was tasty and very, very fresh. Such a great little restaurant!

Fast service, GREAT food, and a super calm, pleasant atmosphere! Its also noy crazy expensive, so its perfect if youre on a budget. 10/10 and 5 stars all around.
Bee B — Google review
Decided to give this place a try for lunch and was pleasantly surprised with the prices on the lunch specials and the fact that you get soup and egg roll/rangoon of your choice. The two dishes that I tried were the Cashew chicken and kung pao chicken. Both dishes had fresh ingredients, prepared well and had a good taste. I did find a big problem with both dishes and that is there was no difference between them, except for red chilies and peanuts in the Kung pao. If you order two different dishes, then they should be different in ingredients, and not just by the name! Egg rolls were a little greasy, although overall good for frozen. The wonton soup was very good, however the fried rice was pretty bland and tasted like it is frozen (heat and eat), from a foodservice company. This place in my opinion gets high reviews because old people and Bubba don't know the differences! Overall considering the other choices in Kerrville for "Chinese" food, this would be the best one in my opinion, until Panda Express 🐼 opens in the near future hooray!

Mexican restaurant

Latin American restaurant
Mamacita's Restaurant is a part of a small chain that offers Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine in a lively, family-friendly setting. The restaurant stands out for its consistent and modern take on authentic Mexican dishes. The vibrant atmosphere, adorned with colorful decor and art, adds to the dining experience. Patrons rave about the delicious homemade-style meals such as Enchiladas and Fajitas. The menu features timeless Mexican flavors like Tacos Al Carbon and Shrimp Quesadilla.
We had a great late lunch here the other day. On pulling in I thought we were in the wrong parking lot as it feels like a hotel parking lot. The entryway is spacious and beautifully decorated. The interior is modeled after a small town with false front “buildings” and a twinkling ceiling. We were pleasantly greeted by the hostess and immediately given chips and salsas. I really like this practice and I don’t see it much anymore. Our waitress didn’t give us any time to look over the menu before coming over to take our order but she was certainly efficient albeit not overly friendly. The food was very good, I had the soup and salad special and it was very good and was more than I could eat. Both the tortilla soup and the chicken Caesar salad were loaded with chicken. My husband enjoyed his enchilada meal as well. The desserts looked amazing but I had no room left! Next time I’m up for carrot cake! The bathroom was clean and well stocked. The prices were reasonable, but skip the margarita, it’s watery. Something fun is that they make their tortillas out in the open and it’s fun to see.

The biggest Mexican restaurant I”ve ever been to, with a coffee shop ! I was pleasantly surprised. Very cool place. They put alot of work into the massive building. Inside is beautiful.A little stream out front and all lit up. The decor is very cool. The chandelier at the entrance is beautiful . The menu has a lot of options. The service was fast and friendly. The chips and dip were some of the best around. The green sauce is like no other. I had the chimichanga with the child con carne sauce . The portions were large I had a togo box. Great wine selection & a separate bar area you can eat in. I was just in town for a couple day but will definitely find my way back here when I’m in town. We met the manager on the way out the door, he was sure to pose for as he said “the best pic yet “He was a great sport !

Food was ok, nothing great. My wife got the cheese enchiladas and I got the burritos. The charro beans had way too much Cilantro in them and was very overpowering. The rice was a little dry but tasted good. The meat in the burritos was ground so fine that it was like mush and was not seasoned well. The enchiladas weren’t bad. The chips and salsa were very good and on point. The service was excellent. Very attentive and kept drinks refilled. Food came out pretty quick as well. Sweet tea was not very sweet. A little overpriced for what we got.

This is an amazing restaurant. I had heard it was a very good place to eat Mexican food and wow it was all delicious. I live out of town, but it was worth the hour drive one way. The chips were very fresh, and the salsa was some of the very best I had ever had. I know this is true because a week later I am wishing I had a bowl of the green salsa. The portions are large, and the waitresses are friendly and make sure you dont need anything. This is a wonderful restaurant and one of the best ones I've been to in the past year. I'll be back!

Everything about Mamacita's is on point!! As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a friendly staff member who quickly sat us down. The atmosphere was wonderful, it's definitely a must see- from the beautiful chandler to the starry night sky ceiling! Kim was our waitress and I must say, the nicest and sweetest person! There are so many different choices on the menu that its hard to choose from🤗 and our plates were delicious with loads of flavor! Prices were decent and fair, especially for a plate full amazing food! I will always recommend Mamacita's, it's truly the best restaurant in town!
TC G — Google review
This is my first time trying Mexican food, and it serves as a great first time tryout! Taco was great with melted cheese, and the corn chip with sour cream is really good, too! However, there is a strange flavor in rice which I don’t really like, but all in all, is a great restaurant to give it a try! We like the inner decoration of this restaurant especially, just like a small but luxurious palace!

Once the finest restaurant in Kerrvile, sadly, Mamacita's has gone downhill. We waited 25 minutes after our reservation for a table. The claw machine still advertises pigs yet contains only balls, at $1 per chance. Once finally seated on a hot Texas day, water was served only by request. Ice tea refills came only after request, and then slowly, and the wrong type (sweet/unsweet) as often as not. Those who were having beer or cocktails were never offered another. The server never inquired how the food was nor how we enjoyed the meal. The food itself was good, but nothing that amazing. The carnitas plate seemed to be mostly onions, but the pork that did exist underneath was tasty and well cooked. The salsas are good and plentiful. The tacos are large. So the food is brighter than the table service. When the check came (after much delay) the pre-set tip options are ludicrously high. Fortunately, the option to leave a custom tip does exist. I would go again in hopes tonight was an abberarion. Hopefully, they will at least restore the pigs to the claw machine.

This is a beautiful restaurant. We could tell the ingredients were fresh. I ordered the poblano. It had a lot of ground beef in it. I really couldn't taste the poblano, but it was decent. My friend ordered the flautas and it was delicious. The sopapilla were more like a bunuelo. Excellent crunchy taste with cinnamon, powdered sugar and honey. There's plenty of parking and the service was excellent. I'd stop by again.

Customers praise the good food and excellent service, making it a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Enjoy the food! But I really enjoy the drinks at the bar. Kathleen is the best bartender. I’ve had drinks from most bars in Kerrville, but she is the best by far. Stop by and make sure Kathleen is working at the bar. You won’t be disappointed

5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This place is a gem! My wife and I come here once a week—it’s our go-to spot for lunch. The lunch specials are amazing and priced just right. The restaurant is always clean and nicely decorated, and the food is consistently delicious. Their queso? Easily the best in town. The sweet tea is spot on, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. If you’re looking for great Mexican food with great vibes, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

Acapulco is more than a restaurant to me. It is… everything. The very second my fiancée and I walked through the door, we felt like we had come home. Joey, our waiter, was prompt and attentive the moment we entered. He was cheerfully professional and friendly. The atmosphere was amazing, from the delightful decor to the warm lighting and subtle music that made the whole place feel like a comforting embrace. Every detail—from the vibrant colors to the carefully chosen art on the walls—felt intentional and inviting. And then there was the food. Absolutely phenomenal. Every bite of our meal was rich with flavor and clearly made with care. The chips were warm and crispy, the salsa fresh and zesty, and our entrées arrived perfectly cooked and generously portioned. We love you, Acapulco. We love you, Joey! ❤️🌯 🇲🇽 🤠

I had the beef quesadillas with guacamole and sour cream which were pretty good except for the hair I found in the sour cream. I asked for fresh guacamole and sour cream so I could finish the rest of my quesadilla. Then I found a piece of avocado skin in the guacamole. Waitress was horrified but apologetic. Manager knocked off $5 for a bad experience which ruined my dinner date with my wife and seriously FAILED to mitigate our horror and convince us to give them another try. Attentive and concerned management, hair nets for kitchen staff and a separated bar for noise reduction may have caused me to reconsider a return.

My son and I came in and found a nice spot to sit down. I was genuinely impressed by how fast and friendly the service was, which made us feel so welcome. The food was simply incredible! I decided to try two beef enchiladas with three eggs on top, and wow, it was such a delightful surprise—definitely my new favorite!

Anna was able to sit me quickly and the place was nice and clean. Very open and welcoming. Authentic salsa. Chips were good. Very thick and crunchy. The serving size was big. I had asked her which gave more steak, the fajitas or the brisket. She said fajitas. It didn't disappoint. Plenty of meat... Plenty of everything. I really enjoyed myself.

Restaurant
Nestled along the picturesque banks of the Guadalupe River, Thai Ocha offers a delightful escape into traditional Thai cuisine. With its warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with a cozy stone fireplace and a charming riverside patio, this eatery is perfect for those looking to savor authentic dishes in a relaxed setting. The menu boasts an array of flavorful options like stir-fries, curries, and soups crafted from fresh vegetables and aromatic herbs.
I had a difficult time finding a place that serves gluten-free food. However, they said they could do it and they definitely over delivered on that. Ordered the gluten-free pad Thai chicken and the flavor was amazing. Also, I did not get sick and I am celiac. So they were able to cook it right and keep it gluten-free. The service was excellent, and the pricing was just right. Although I don’t know when I will be back in this area, it is definitely the number one recommendation for restaurant I would give.
James C — Google review
While house sitting for family, we had a taste for Thai. Thai Ocha was a delicious find! We opted for take away, and ordered cashew chicken, sesame chicken and pork egg rolls. The chicken dishes were seasoned to perfection, and the requested spice levels were spot on. I don't usually have much to say about an egg roll, but Ocha's was delicious. Fried perfectly with hints of ginger and lemon grass, the struggle not to eat the whole order was real. The pick-up was easy, and the team friendly. Though we didn't dine in, I feel confident saying the dining area looked quaint, and the view of the river lovely. I highly recommend... cheers!
Heather ( — Google review
Yum!! So delicious and authentic! The dessert was soothing to the soul. The water was filtered and the lemon used was fresh, which was very much appreciated!! The place is clean and the food is wonderful! If we only lived close by, we would come here regularly!!

Great food and very affordable. The food I enjoyed wasn't authentic but still very delicious. The view is great and the service was also great.

Was down in Kerrville for work and from the first time here I hardly skipped a dinner here. The curry is so amazing, even had to stock up when I had to leave the town. Staff super friendly, felt like family by the end of my time. Cant wait to visit.
Justin W — Google review
Favorite Dish: Chicken with Peanut Sauce. Make sure to order the heat/spicy level you want otherwise it’s will be mild by default. I also like the curry dishes here… all of them! It can get busy here especially at lunch but generally I’ve had good customer service experiences and no problems with the kitchen.
Tx G — Google review
We’re so excited we found this place! We had Tom Yum chicken soup, pad Thai, and Pad Kee mao. SO IMPRESSED and will definitely be back. Very reasonable prices for the amount of food you get.
Ashley C — Google review
Yummy peanut sauce! The cashew chicken was tasty - not overly breaded and an excellent darker sauce. Nothing was very spicy. Hot tea arrived with an entire pot. The homemade coconut ice cream for dessert was light - order with sticky rice and toasted cashews for extra yumminess. Only drawback is dated atmosphere. Outdoor patio area looked nice with a water view.

Bonzai Japanese Steak and Sushi is a unique dining destination that masterfully combines the flavors of steak and sushi, making it a standout choice for food lovers. Located on Sidney Baker, this restaurant offers an impressive menu featuring not only delightful sushi but also hearty hibachi platters and delicious noodles. On weekends, guests can indulge in premium American Wagyu beef at reasonable prices, ensuring a high-quality experience without breaking the bank.
We had a lovely time for lunch dining at the sushi bar. The service was excellent, and everyone was very accommodating. The atmosphere was very pleasant and it was not too noisy. The food was phenomenal, the sushi was very fresh and it’s always fun to see it prepared right before your eyes. We particularly enjoyed the Wagyu sliders and the Ama Ebi. The restroom was clean and well stocked. They also have a nice tradition of handing out thin mints with the check, such touches are very nice and deserve recognition. Considering the food we ordered and the quality we were pleased with the price, the value is there. Do visit this spot if you’re a sushi hound!

We went out to try the Hibachi the first night we were in Kerrville and it couldn’t have been any better! Clemente showed us his skills and interacted greatly with us while he prepared our food, which ended up being absolutely delicious! Our second night there, we decided to have sushi, and once again the service by MJ our waiter and the selections he suggested were absolutely amazing! It was such a great experience that we are thinking of taking a trip to relax and enjoy some more of the food and the wonderful people we encountered! A definite 5 stars ⭐️

While the food was delicious & out waiter was on point, there must have been a very well-known regular customer sitting in the booth behind us. The entire time we tried to eat multiple wait staff came over to that booth & shared their life stories. 30+minutes of this. My husband & I couldn't even talk to each other because of all the laughing & loud voices. I'll not be coming back here if I can't enjoy a meal.
Mary M — Google review
Our server was nice and very attentive to our needs. The food was good. The chicken I had no season at ALL(thanks for teriyaki sauce). I would have given a 5 if my chicken was seasoned. You might want to do something about the flies.

Went here for the first time today and horrible. You would expect the otoro to be fresh and not grey for the price they’re charging. The waitress had to come back to my table twice to get my order because the first time she got it completely wrong. The price for the wagyu nigiri is way out of pocket and unheard of. The wasabi had a grey tinge to it. Overall bad experience not worth the price and def never coming back.

A Hidden Gem in Kerrville: Bonsai Restaurant Serves the Freshest Sashimi & Perfect Cocktails! If you're in Kerrville and craving authentic, melt-in-your-mouth sashimi look no further than Bonsai Restaurant. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is warm and inviting, but the real star of the show is the unbelievably fresh seafood, especially their bluefin tuna and salmon sashimi. Bailey was our server and was extremely attentive with a great attitude and friendly demeanor. The bluefin tuna sashimi was like butter, rich and velvety with a clean, oceanic flavor that proves just how impeccably fresh it is. The salmon sashimi was equally stunning, with a delicate, silky texture and a subtle sweetness that melted on the tongue. Each slice was expertly cut, showcasing the chef’s mastery. If you love sashimi, this is a must-order To complement the incredible food, their cocktails are flawlessly prepared Whether you prefer a crisp, refreshing sake martini or a well-balanced yuzu margarita, the bartenders here know what they’re doing. Every sip was smooth, balanced, and elevated the dining experience. Bonsai Restaurant is a tue standout in Kerrville, offering some of the best sashimi I’ve had outside of a coastal city. The bluefin tuna and salmon are absolute showstoppers, and the drinks are just as impressive. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or just looking for an unforgettable meal, Bonsai will exceed your expectations. 5/5 stars—I’ll be back again and again! **📍 Location:** Bonsai Restaurant, Kerrville, TX **🍣 Must-Try:** Bluefin Tuna Sashimi, Salmon Sashimi, Signature Cocktails

China Town Chinese Restaurant is a beloved establishment nestled in a strip mall, where culinary delights from both Japanese and Chinese cuisines await. This spot not only excels in traditional Chinese dishes but also boasts an impressive sushi bar. Diners rave about the spicy Kung Pao Shrimp, which packs a flavorful punch that pairs wonderfully with refreshing beverages like Juice Medley or Japanese soda to balance the heat.
Last night was my first time going to China Town and they were a bit busy so we decided to order over the phone. They took our order without any issues and surprisingly everything was ready within 15 minutes! We ordered Crab Rangoons, Chicken Lo Mein and Sesame Beef with fried rice, it was all cooked perfectly and had great flavor! We will definitely be going back to dine in so a follow up review will be in the works☺️

We stopped here for lunch. The atmosphere is nice. Our waitress was beyond nice and friendly. We got the special pho that they had on the black board as you walk in. I tried the grilled lemongrass chicken vermicelli. The chicken was really salty. Which I did not like. They give you wontons and sweet and sour sauce as soon as you sit down. That was cool. My husband said the soup was okay. Overall would maybe come back and try something else. We paid I think $36 for our lunch. Ohh we also got 2 spring rolls. They were good.

Friday night 9 pm not 1 patron in the restaurant, Why? Odd, but I have been a customer for 20 years. I noticed mostly Chinese employees which was new to me instead of the locals. Well the menu was all new and rather nice and like a book. I opened it saw the prices for evening going from $15-$18 which is average in 2025. I told the waiter I knew what I wanted and it was General Tso's and with fried rice, then he asked what kind of soup, I said "hot and sour" out of their 3 choices. Chose water, then asked if he could add vegetables to it. Soup comes, then meal, and it even had a flower in it for nice presentation, but no vegetables but just the average few strings of carrot and a few snap peas and about 8 pieces of chicken the size of a quarter. I was ok until he brought me the bill.....$27! I was floored, being no extra vegetables, no appetizers, a water and a not much of a dinner size of a plate! I looked over the receipt and there it was 3.99 for RICE(which usually goes with the G Tso's) 3.99 for the NOT added vegetables and when I asked the waiter about it he shrugged his shoulders and walked off!! Then as I asked the one that rings the bill up at the register as I spoke about it, he shrugged his shoulders too and never fixed it!! So rude and it was really coming to mind....no wonder no one is in here! This isn't going to fly in our small town, thinking people are stupid with no care to amend or blend with the customers and what might be right or wrong...this is not a gourmet dining place (basic cafeteria tables and flare) and come to think of it, I wasn't even given one of their SMALL egg rolls with the meal. Never going back and spreading the word for all to know of this treatment. BTW China King, since you're reading this....The Soaring Dragon Smokes you!!! Shame to you and how you are running things. Ordered take out tonight based off a $5 coupon we had received from our campgrounds flyer. We ordered 2 egg rolls, Chicken with garlic sauce, and pork fried rice. The place looked clean and what interactions we had were friendly. The wait time was extremely quick. Upon presentation of the coupon the cashier seemed unsure what to do with it. She went and got a manager who said they were no longer honoring those as they were expired and under new ownership. (We literally just received the coupon this week). The food was honestly just okay. Nothing to write home about. The egg rolls were extremely disappointing as they just had zero flavor, and oddly very small, especially for the price per each. We ordered the chicken with garlic sauce EXTRA spicy as it’s supposed to have spice to it (even menu indicates a spicy dish). It had decent flavor but literally zero spice. The pork fried rice was good. I would order that again.

Took my wife there for lunch yesterday, showed up at 12:05, ordered quickly at 12:10. Waited for our food and finally were served at 12:40. 15 minutes to enjoy half our food, and rush my wife back to work. Sorry, I won't be coming back. Why don't decent restaurants understand that people have an hour for lunch.
Ken L — Google review
I went in to pick up an order from inside and the bald, heavyset man was very rude to me wouldn’t let the waitress help me pick up my order because he was busy. I asked her if that was the order I needed, and she went to hand it to me and he told her to put it down and that he would take care of it in a minute. Very, very rude.

I had the early bird special, Seasame Chicken, with the chicken soup and rangoon. Everything was very fresh, hot and good, and served in timely manner! Our server was the perfect balance of attention and letting us eat. Ha I had already had a couple bites before I remembered to take this picture of my seasame chicken.

If you're on the hunt for a satisfying dining experience that goes beyond just one plate, look no further than Good Taste Asian Buffet. This all-you-can-eat haven is perfect for those with hearty appetites. Guests have enjoyed starting their meals with crispy fried zucchini, setting the tone for a delightful feast.
Hands down one of the best buffets I’ve been too. Incredible honey chicken General tsao and sesame. Lao mein and rice should be improved but the emphasis on the seafood (shrimp and mussels) made up for it. Sweet and sour chicken was also very very good. Ive been to chinese buffets all around texas and this is my favorite so far. I went on a sunday so your mileage may vary.
Zoheb H — Google review
I always liked coming here but recently, the food has gotten worse?? I don't know if they are removing those chemicals, like what other food places are doing recently, or they just cut budget but I'm not sure. The general Tso's looks very disgusting now and it tastes weird too, like they added onion. Even the fresh ones still taste the same and when I first got there for lunch, the chicken was definitely not fresh, it was leftovers from yesterday I think. 🤮🥀 The Spring Rolls are also colder despite being in the heat. The service there is pretty decent, although some of them might not speak English perfectly, so be aware of that. Atmosphere looks decent too and its very clean, despite the food being bad recently. Although, the toilets were very disgusting and one of them finally got fixed and it took them like....a year??? Summary: Decent workers and atmosphere is clean but the food is awful now. I wouldn't go here for a while, hopefully it will be good again.

That white piece of "salmon fish" was nit salmon or the most anemic salmon on the planet and rubbery. I think it was reconstituted. It was so bad i considered if it was purposely made to be disgusting to see how much people would eat since it was a buffet. As you can see, inedible and i eat just about anything. Save your time and money people. Truly disgusting.
John G — Google review
This business misses the point of what an Asian buffet is supposed to be! (Fresh, healthy, great selection and quality vegetable, meat and seafood dishes prepared and seasoned authentically) The food on the buffet was flat tasting and most had absolutely no seasoning or was just loaded with chili peppers. The selection of items that fit into the "Asian" category are extremely limited. Almost everything is fried and from a frozen food company, without question. The few dishes that did have vegetables in them were disgusting, because they cooked the vegetables into a mushy, off tasting, unappealing mess. Verdict: Waste of your money, insult to your taste buds and a need for a Panda Express!

I arrived around 3-4pm ; asked for 2 adult and infant . Tea wasn’t fresh however gentleman was willing to fix it with a soda . I def recommend check out the food before sitting down to eat . Majority of it was dry . I visiting out town looking for place to stop and eat . I don’t think I will return my next trip . Like $48 for 2 people ! Ouch

Visited this location for the first time since it changed names a while back. I was working in town and decided to give it a try, as I had dined at the Chinese buffet that was located here previously. The food was decent, but I didnt have anything I would call amazing, or that I would specifically return for. Selection was minimal, none of the higher end items, more of your standard offering of Chinese buffet items. The price was affordable, service was good, and drinks were refilled as soon as I left the table. To be fair, I visited the location late, about an hour before closing. Food wasn't being brought out, so some items were empty, while other items had been sitting out.. For a medium sized town, this buffet is pretty decent. I would consider giving it another try. Giving 4 stars because I cant give 3.5.

Haven't been to this restaurant in over 3 years. Thought we give it a try with new owners. It is an improvement from before, but not much better. Chicken was hard, rangoons were also hard. Egg rolls taste like store brought egg rolls. I will not be going to this restaurant again.

If you have a sweet tooth, don't miss out on their rich New York-style cheesecake for dessert.
We have been wanting to try this place since it opened and we're so glad we did. We both ordered the Pho with brisket and ribs eye. OMG ! We started with an order of Crab Rangoons and Vietnamese Crispy Spring Rolls. The Rangoons actually had crab meat that you can see ! We ate them so fast that I forgot to take a picture of it. The spring rolls were very Crispy and light. The Pho came in a bowl that had to be at least a quart. You mix hoisin and siracha in the small bowl for a dipping sauce for the meat. We have enough for another meal leftover. Would Highly recommend it to anyone. Menus : This review was for the Pho Mosa restaurant. It has recently changed it's name to the China Bowl. The menu is similar but the food wasn't as good. It's not bad but I've had better .

Service friendly but slow. Food average, large portions reasonable prices
David D — Google review
Not enough staff employed to manage the lunch crowd. Got my Summer Pork Spring rolls to go. Huge (pun intended) disappointment. They were burrito sized rolls (that's a meal size to-go box they were served in!) of rice noodles, iceberg lettuce & large lackluster seasoned pork served with a weak watery peanut sauce. Not at all the exquisite finesse, flavor or appropriate portion of Vietnamese cuisine. What a shame.

Good menu. Good food. Restaurant is now called China Bowl.

Wow! Chinese takeout! I haven't had Chinese takeout in ages, what a delight to have this place recommended. They were quick, handled my gluten-free, garlic-free request with aplomb, and the food was absolutely delicious! Best part? Leftovers! I think the basis of Chinese food is leftovers, and this did not disappoint. Still delicious, still easy to eat, and no washing up. :-)
Toni G — Google review
Visited a month ago for the first time dine-in, and got take-out last week. Both times I got the walnut shrimp and it was really good with crispy shrimp and sweet white sauce. My only complaint is I had to order a vegetable for extra money on the side, when most other dishes come with veggies of some sort in them. Service here is super friendly and quick and a clean comfortable atmosphere.
Alyna A — Google review
I have personally eaten here more times than I can count. The food is always hot and delicious. The management and staff are extremely courteous and very proficient in the areas of service and food quality. I highly recommend China Bowl to any and everyone. I've not been disappointed. Thank you Austin, Chris and Preston and the rest of the China Bowl crew. You guys are awesome.

Went in yesterday for lunch with my wife and was seated. The food is still good but our waitress didn't offer us condiments. I had to ask a waiter for condiments. I had to ask for tea. Our waitress would just disappear when I went to ask just for a drink. I felt that she didn't want to serve us. So I'm starting to think why spend my money here. And it's sad I really like eating here.

Noodle lovers will appreciate the wide variety available, while sushi enthusiasts can indulge in an array of rolls at the impressive sushi bar. The buffet also features an excellent selection of Southeast Asian delicacies, making it a great value for those seeking delicious food at affordable prices.
Excellent selection of Southeast Asian Delicacies. Good food at a good price.

If you want standard Asian cuisine found in the US, this is the place to go! Would actually give this restaurant a 3.5 if given the option. The interor was clean and the food was pretty hot. A nice variety and mix of flavors overall.
Karli V — Google review
Price was right, food was decent. Was passing by Kerrville on the way back to San Antonio and decided to stop into this place for dinner. Dinner prices were very reasonable, and the food selection was pretty good. It was a weeknight and the dinner crowd was pretty small. Some of the items had decent flavor, while other items were a bit bland. Some items were also a bit cool temperature wise. This might have been due to the small dinner crowd. I did find enough to eat that was satisfactory, and felt I got my moneys worth. I'd be willing to give the place another shot on a weekend next time. The experience wasn't bad for a small town buffet.
Paul — Google review
Visited Jan 13th Sunday, mid-afternoon. Was skeptical after reading negative reviews; however, was to find everything as it should be. The buffet reflects most of items normally seen in Asian buffets. If items were low, they were were promptly refilled with fresh food from their kitchen. Staff kept everything fresh, counters clean too. Chicken wings were juicy, tasty. Cold shelled Shrimp was plentiful, fresh, tasteful. Other cooked items were fresh, tasteful. Had absolutely observed no issues. Floor was clean, finished tables promptly had dishes removed and wiped. Would recommend this buffet to others!
Carole W — Google review
We have been coming here for years and when they first open it was great. Food was made fresh daily. But like most places it is going down hill. We keep giving them a chance and keep regretting eating here. I have watch the cooks replace the food with new on top of the old. This is cross contamination of food. This can make you very sick. I think it is time to stop eating here.
General M — Google review
If the prepared food is not maintained at the correct temperature, it will spoil. If it spoils and you eat it, you will get sick. Why did I get sick? Could it be that the sweet and sour chicken and the crab leg meat is not maintained at a hot enough temperature? The rest of the food was good, a wide variety. Our table clearer was very attentive.
Cindy D — Google review
My family and I came in 15 minutes before they started charging for dinner. As soon as we walked in the older host at the front walked to the kitchen. She returned ten minutes later saying we just walked in, and we would be paying dinner price. I said "that's fine", and paid. The food looked as if it had been sitting out for a while, we recieved no refills, and from the moment we made our first plate the same lady kept asking us if we were finished. They did not change.
John B — Google review
I eat here often but I am not picky. If you are, you won't like it. If you don't come during peak times the food will have been sitting out. If you visit shortly before they close, be prepared for them to not refill some of the items as they run out. We came at seven thirty on a Sunday evening (fully an hour and a half before they closed) and they were out of egg drop soup, lomein noodles, sushi and more. Half of the chandelier is out, the wall paper is pealing and the seats are not in the best shape. My advice, go to China Town.

Sake is a hidden gem in Kerrville, Texas, offering an upscale sushi experience that stands out from typical sushi spots. This beautifully designed restaurant serves a delightful fusion of Japanese and Chinese cuisine with a local twist. Start your meal with warm edamame or refreshing seafood summer rolls before diving into their creative sushi rolls. The service here is commendable—quick and courteous—even during busy weekends when the place fills up.
Excellent service, great food and nice environment! We tried a little of this and that and it was all so delicious. Happy tummies, happy hearts! Highly recommend the seaweed salad and combination fried rice. The sushi rolls were well priced and of high quality freshness!

I actually chose this place to take a couple of friends for dinner based on the ratings I saw on hereto begin with, but sadly, we didn't have the same experience. We got seated and for drinks right away, but the waitress didn't come back forever. We had planned to order an appetizer and just enjoy a visit, but by the time she came back, we were super hungry and running low on time, so we all just ordered dinner. Two of our three dinners came out fairly early. That wasn't a good thing - my fried rice was lukewarm and completely dried out, so it made me thinking it had not been freshly prepared and had probably been sitting out for some time before being served to me. The third person in our group ordered a simple bento box, but it showed up 20 minutes after the rest of us got our food. Of course, we shared ours with her while we waited, so she wasn't really hungry anymore once it arrived. It took forever again to just get the waitress to acknowledge we were finished, bring us boxes, and handle our check. Maybe it was just an off night, but I won't be going back to find out.

Same has been a favorite of mine for years. The people who work here are so incredibly kind and attentive. The food is amazing, every time. I especially like the Peruvian Roll with cilantro sauce on the side. 🤩 spend your money here. They deserve the business…. And ur tummy will be happy!

What a great sushi/home cooking place in Kerrville TX of all places. The menu is large, which scares me most times, but here was fine. A good sake, wine and beer selection as well. The sashimi was fresh and tasty. The escolar was exceptional. This is definitely our new fave place when we visit Kerrville.

Excellent service - delicious food! Service was speedy and polite! We were here the Saturday AFTER turkey 🦃 day so it wasn’t crowded, no wait. The menu items were abundant and priced reasonably - portions did not fall short. Plaza parking was ample. I have only one complaint, the menu pages were sticky, stuck together, and had food on them. A good wipe down is in order - easy fix! Thanks for the wonderful meal! We’ll be back the next time we travel through Texas!

Food was wonderful! Our family ordered the Pad See Ew, Basil Fried Rice, Sesame Chicken, Chicken and Veggies, and wings. We ended with mango sticky rice that was out of this world. Pat was so kind and nice, made us feel right at home. Cannot wait to come back and try some more!

On one of my final work trips to the area, I finally decided to stop in this location for a meal. I'm so glad that I did as the only thing better than my meal was the service. It's definitely worth a stop if ever in the area.
