A remarkable gem. I was very happy to spend my morning exploring all they had to offer. There are beautiful sculptures inside and outdoors. The gallery has numerous framed artwork as well as small, medium and large sculptors. They also have an interactive kids area.

The Museum of Western Art in Kerrville, Texas is an incredible gem that exceeded all expectations. We visited on a rainy day, arriving through a clearing storm, and even that couldn’t dampen the experience. Though we entered from the back lot by mistake, we quickly found our way to the entrance and were welcomed by stunning outdoor sculptures and a stone wall lined with cowbells. It set the tone perfectly for what was to come. Inside, we were warmly greeted by two friendly and knowledgeable curators who took time to explain the museum's history. We learned that the land was generously donated by a local resident so the museum could be built in Texas instead of California, which led to an outpouring of support from collectors all across the country. Once word spread, people donated incredible artwork and western artifacts, creating a collection that is as rich in history as it is in beauty. The museum is incredibly well maintained and thoughtfully laid out. The architecture alone is impressive, but it’s the content that really shines. From oil paintings to bronze sculptures, the halls are filled with scenes of frontier life, cowboys, Native Americans, ranchers, and breathtaking Western landscapes. Some works are even for sale, and the staff mentioned that they had just completed their Spring Round-Up, which is a showcase and sale event for Western artists. In addition to the art, the museum houses a Western research library, making it a valuable resource for historians, students, and anyone interested in the culture and legacy of the American West. It was our first Western art museum on this leg of our RV journey, and it left a lasting impression. It offers a peaceful and inspiring atmosphere for anyone who appreciates art, history, or the American frontier. Highly recommended if you are visiting Kerrville or passing through the Texas Hill Country. We plan to return if we’re ever back in the area. Do not miss it.

Visited during Spring Break as a group of 6, including 2 boys aged 4-6. Easy to find and free car parking near the entrance. Finding the parking area wasn’t clear, but we got there. The front entrance has a cool walls of cow bells that you could hit to make sound. We ain’t have to wait to get in - the place was quiet and we basically had the run of it. The staff were all friendly and after we paid to enter we were given a 1-3 minute welcome presentation and then could go diff to explore. There were a few big rooms full of paintings, sculptures, display saddles, some cases with pistols and Derringers under glass. There was even a room in the back aimed towards kids - it had a full-sized wagon, a large tent, and dress-up outfits. Our boys dressed up like cowboys and spent the whole time looking in the crates at the plastic food and equipment that the old-timers used to lug around on their frontier journeys. The boys were satisfied. There’s a great variety of art and they all evoked the spirit of the West. One thing I’d have liked to see was labels that said the date and description of the art pieces, beyond the artist name and piece title which was provided. We stayed about an hour which was enough to see all the rooms. Browser the gift shop which had books, art prints, leather and jewellery items. I’d recommend visiting this museum, even in you have young kids.

Small but nice. The staff is friendly and informative. Definitely worth the visit.

Really cool exposition of local art and historical art. The curators on site are very helpful and knowledgeable. Parking is easy and abundant and the site is easy to spot off the main road. There was a kids section that was interactive. Its worth the small admission fee.

Very interesting paintings and sculptures. The volunteers were very sweet. I would love to know who made the leather and wood chairs dotted around the exhibits. They were beautiful and comfortable.

Some beautiful art pieces here, but the ladies stand off to the side slowly following you around as if you’re trying to steal the $50-$1,400 paintings they sell here. We felt rushed and urged to get out.

The Outdoor Painter's Society just had their competition last week in Kerrville sponsored by the Kerrville Cultural Arts Center. it was one of the best shows they've had all year. Try not to miss the show next October 26th. Pairing it with the Water Street Festival was absolutely brilliant and so much fun to walk down Earl Garrett Street and water Street to watch the En Plein Air painters in action this Oct. 25th. Bravo KACC! What a wonderful job!

Stopped in to visit the display of furniture created by local artisans. The facility was well lit with a friendly staff and interesting gift shop. The exhibit was well done and the quality of the pieces was outstanding.

This is a great art space and there’s no admission fee! I love all the local artists they feature, and the range of the different exhibits… from furniture and wood carving to exquisite paintings and sculptures. If you’re in Kerrville it’s definitely worth the time to stop in.

The Hill Country Youth Art Show is always a favorite yearly event for our family. The KACC really knows how to encourage and showcase student artists in our community.

This place is fantastic. They rotate artists monthly and have a silent auction for the art. They also have art for sell. Very friendly staff and knowledgeable of the art.

Well, I'm supposed to tell u about my experience at this place. It was a short but very gratifying visit! My artist daughter received yet another award for her amazing dragon drawings. The place sure knows art when they C it!! Her name is Heather Troskowski. Keep an eye out for this name she WILL be well known.

This is an awesome performing art center/ theatre is compared to Fredericksburg theater this is so much more awesome. Modern, cozy comfortable seating with beautiful restrooms

Rhis was our first time at the theater since moving here. The show was amazing. I was so excited to see it. We were in the balcony along the back wall. There is not a bad seat in the place. Will definitely be back. I did have two problems. One was the two lady Ushers who were sitting in the back row talking loudly. I was surprised since they are Ushers. Number two was the lady next to us who kept turning on her flashlight to read the program before EVERY song. There was an usher sitting near us and it was annoying her as well but she just put the program up to her face instead of telling the lady to stop. I asked and she just grunted at me and did it anyway. The theater is beautiful and the performance was delightful.

Great venue with comfortable seats. Great sound everywhere.

05/19/2022 Love Letters: Tivy Choir Pop Show!! Kerville Tivy High School Choir put on a masterful performance!! The Cailloux Theater is a wonderful venue for this type of show. Congratulations to all the Seniors! What a way to end the school year! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Attended the Pink Floyd Laser Light Show in April! We had a great time! Very nice theater. Friendly staff! Amazing acoustic! When is the next Pink Floyd Laser Light Show? 2025! Make it annual please.

We went for a reptile tile event, that was a lot of fun for my 8 yr old son. The experience was part of a summer reading program that they put on for the kids. The venue is a very outstanding unique architectural masterpiece. The place is super clean and everyone we encountered was very friendly. I recommend checking it out; especially if it's a dog day of summer because the A/C worked too...lol. Enjoy.

Always a great time out in an extremely beautiful theater. They always offer a variety of live shows for all patrons, scheduled regularly. This Theater is really an asset for this small town. Probably why I moved here 6 years ago. A real gem!

I have visited but it was in massive renovation and it was very beautiful, inexpensive, history at its finest . I’m taking my wife there hopefully this coming month. Kerrville’s rustic beauty is itself worth going back. We planned on traveling there for Nothing more than to soak in our natural beauty and enjoy the views .

Weekend visitors are outside viewing of buildingband courtyards. Very limited hours for interior tours.

Nothing from the Other World, it is better that they publish the informative video on YouTube, which is the only interesting thing. It is a tour of only 3 rooms. you can't see the second level. 75% of the house is restricted. The Woman who gives the Tour or the explanation has an attitude of Owner of the Mansion. It is better to donate the money directly to the Orchestra and you will feel better. And seeing the mansion from the outside, inside is not worth it. you will only waste your time. Not recommended, seriously. You leave frustrated. and the women try to be Nice but they also have no idea that they speak a lot of historical errors in what they say.

Great historic house that was the beginning of Kerrville. Nice descents.

The mansion is so beautiful and I had fun going there but I wasn't able to see the second floor but it is beautiful the exterior and interior

This is my first year here. Has been an amazing experience and will be back next year. The only negative is that it seems there is a power struggle dynamic between leaders and it does kind of suck. Everything else is wonderful. :)

The great folks at the Kerrville Folk Festival opened their facilty to help serve 1st responders and volunteers breakfast, lunch, and diner. Phil was my main contact, and he is a wonderful human and extremely helpful. I was a small wheel in the machine of volunteers and resources donated to help support the recovery effort after the 4th of July flood. Thank you Folk Music Festival for being amazing host's and the generosity of your organization during this time is an example for all.

Day and evening concerts are enhanced with nightly, after concert, spontaneous "jamming sessions" in the campgrounds by staff musicians sharing their music and friendship! Something for everyone young and long time "Kerrvillians"

I have been attending off and on for almost forty years. It just keeps getting better.

It is an absolutely beautiful park along the Guadalupe River with lots of shade and plenty of places to wade in. People were kayaking, fishing, strolling with their dog, having picnics, and children playing on the playground. We happened across the park by accident while driving through town, but we definitely look forward to another visit soon!

It is one of the most beautiful and well-kept parks I have visited. Nice trails and all sorts of flowers, trees, geckos, and deer along the trails. Many nice areas to have a picnic or family gathers. The bathrooms were decent. A dog friendly park!

Great place.on the river to bring a family of all ages and abilities. Wide open spaces, play sets,splash pads, swimming,paddle boarding, volleyball, fishing and most important restrooms. Was very clean and safe .

Stopped on a road trip to have lunch here and it did not disappoint. Beautiful river frontage with a variety of birds. We saw an Osprey, red-tailed Hawk, double-breasted cormorant, Egyptian goose, and ducks.

A very beautiful and spacious park in a town nestled in the Texas hill country. It isn't a place I would be likely to go, but for the eclipse. We were taken with the beauty and serenity of the park and the river, despite it containing a few thousand eclipse-chasers. The town turned out and we thoroughly enjoyed the day.

We love this park. The location is beautiful, with nice, shaded trails, right along the river. The splash pad is so nice for kids and toddlers to cool off in and there are shaded picnic tables surrounding it for parents to watch from. There are several different parking areas. Two different playgrounds and an exercise area. This park really has it all, including deer and ducks!

Lovely large clean safe park in the heart of Kerrville. We came for a walk along the river and enjoyed watching the ducks. Lots of folks were out enjoying the park, families with kids, runners, bikers. It’s very pretty, paved and thoughtfully planned, a real gem for the town.

You could send DAYS here…. 😳 Take some time to look at the “Prayer Rocks”! Some are amazing!!! Best time to go is an hour or so before sunset… then spend a few hours there. Then, come back in the morning! Very nice staff! 👍🏽🙂👍🏽 Peaceful gardens. Well thought out sculpture garden. The CROSS and the sculptures are amazing! Take some time and seek the heart of the Lord here… because HIS Presence is there! Yes - I am coming back! 👍🏽🔥👍🏽

We visited this blessed place in June 2025. Very peaceful and full of wisdom and truth. Prayer stones border the sidewalks. The sidewalks have Bible verses in Spanish, English, and German. The garden is shaped like a cross, as seen from above. Each point on the cross has a beautiful sculpture. The central sculpture of Jesus returning on a white horse has a fountain, where people are baptized. Near the entrance, there is a gift shop. There, we learned how God sanctioned the building of this garden, that is the same latitude as Israel. In 2023, a full eclipse came over the garden. In 2024, another full eclipse came over the garden, creating a virtual X at the garden, where both eclipses crossed. Admission is FREE. Parking lots are around the hill that the garden is built on. Highly recommend that you visit and pray at this place!!! God bless!!!

Absolutely beautiful! Bring a marker to write a prayer on a rock and leave it along the walkway. Well maintained. The worship music playing outdoors was a nice touch. Very powerful! I enjoyed my visit! 10/10.

Amazingly designed, starting with the bottom of the hill; the entrance was nicely detailed with Mary, the three nails and a nice little visitors center. Then the top of the hill was superb! The Christ, and the Open Cross was a sight to see. You feel the peace, solemnity and all the prayer rock garden was touching and inspiring. The whole garden is shaped in the shape of a cross. Definitely a must visit…

Beautiful views, an awesome place to meditate in God's Word, and to have a quiet time with the Lord. They have a gift shop and some free treats for you to share your faith with others. I recommend 100% 👍

Was more than a sculpture garden. It felt like Holy ground. Breath taking and awe inspiring. Would highly recommend.

Had a great time at trivia night and have some other events planned here... We had such a wonderful time. We will be doing trivia night from now on! Everyone was so welcoming and the atmosphere was inviting. If you haven't done trivia night your really missing out! Third Thursday of every month!! You should go... You will love it!

The group curates a wonderful lineup of music, comedy, iconic interviews, and community events. Don't miss attending an event at The Arcadia when you visit the beautiful Kerrville area, you will not be disappointed!

I wasnt there for very long but I was impressed with what I experienced. I also would like to thank all the people that allowed my talented daughter, HEATHER TROSKOWSKI(artist), to present her artwork to the public eye for profit. The place is exquisite!

This is an awesome venue, and it brought back so many memories. The acoustics are great!

Corey is really great to work with. He has good equipment for rent (and for sale), runs a timely shuttle, has great prices, and is always honest about the water levels in the river. I've taken large groups of family and friends out and have always been happy with the outcome. Highly recommend!

Rented two kayaks, Jackson Rivieras. Great prices! Comfortable kayaks. Corey had great suggestions and brought the kayaks to the river for us. The Guadalupe was beautiful! When we were finished I called Corey and he was there in 10 minutes to pick up the kayaks. Corey was awesome! Great experience and excellent customer service!

Family friendly customer service. Provided service to deliver kayaks to the ramp. Great park to fishand kayak. Kayaks are in great shape and even had a little one for my 6yr old. Very fair prices. Great service hours too.

Corey went above the normal customer service and made our kayaking adventure perfect. We loved it and afterwards he gave of his time to show us the Riverwalk and tell us some local restaurants to check out. Do not skip this adventure. We saw a bunch of turtles and wildlife in the Guadalupe River. Thank you Corey for giving us such a great memory

Mr Corey was very helpful , my sister and I rented 2 kayaks to kayak the river today. Mr Corey delivered and picked them up for us and accominated everything we needed. We had a great time, and highly recommend.

Although it’s a bit hard to find — and I know my way around Kerrville a bit; and Schreiner students will certainly know it better — it’s well worth the effort. Parking is plentiful. The main building itself is very airy, with light on three sides and a wood-burning stove in the middle, like for those cold nights in February that we had. I had a delicious 16oz kombucha for $7, which I still thought was a bit steep. The only food is small bags of chips for now, so make sure you eat beforehand. Out front are tables and cornhole games. To the side are picnic tables and a music venue. Beyond the building is a sand volleyball court. It was fairly quiet when I visited today, Sunday, but I could see how this place would definitely rock. What a fantastic addition to the Kerrville scene.

The food truck was incredible!! The beer list and non-alcoholic beer was a good variety. The whole place is super cute, with corn hole and a pickle ball court. Lots of outdoor seating and bistro lighting.

Was staying in town overnight and stopped by after learning the breweries nearby close at 9 pm on Saturday night. 😮 I got there an hour before their closing time of 11 pm. I didn't know it's on a college campus, and that made navigation a little tricky, but no biggie. It's a rustic place with a nice outdoor seating area and some indoor seating, too. Good selection of Texas beers. I got one from a Kerrville brewery, Pint and Plow, that unfortunately was closed already. It was a saison and very enjoyable. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to visit them in the future. I recommend this place to hang out and sip on some brews. You'll have no trouble finding a beer that suits you. Very good--and interesting, not mainstream-- music on the sound system, too.

GREAT little spot to pass a quiet afternoon with a cold beer or two. No food BUT theres usually a food truck out in the lot dishing up great burgers! The building is early 1900s and mostly original. Wood floors, open windows, no screens, na A/C but pleasant even when 90+ outside! Proof that people survived millenia without A/C. Slow down, pull up a chair, and enjoy a cold beer in a grear setting!

We had our high school reunion here! Absolutely beautiful atmosphere, big open space, and plenty of games and to do. Non-alcoholic options and extensive drink menu! Such a cool place to relax in nature and socialize!

We had a jolly good time here tonight! This was our first time to this awesome place and it was opening night to boot. Great play, great atmosphere and outstanding performers! We will definitely be returning in the future.

An outstanding black box community theater!

Have been going to and enjoying this theater for many years. Have seen a wide variety of plays featuring some awesome local talent. The theater also offers different kinds of entertainment from outside the area, from singers to specialty acts. Very fortunate to have a theater of this caliber in our area.

When I moved to Kerrville, I had no idea what to expect; I certainly didn't think there would be a theater scene. There shouldn't be. The reason there is a theatre culture that flourishes and fulfills the need of so many of the city citizens is because of the work of Jeffrey Brown and the staff of Playhouse 2000. I have performed on professional stages in three of our country's major cities. Mr. Brown's leadership, the board of Playhouse 2000, and the continued generosity of the Cailloux family create a fertilizer of theater culture you would see in cities whose budget far eclipse anything a town of 20,000 people could ever facilitate. In short, and to the point, and in real-world terms, you gotta go see shows when you come to Kerrville. They're just really really good, even the bad ones are good because you can feel how much everyone really cares about what they're doing. The quality of sets designed and built, the thoughtfulness and thorough production schedules produced, and the professional nature to which the actors approach the rehearsal process are top notch.

The Playhouse 2000 is your destination in Kerrville for the best entertainment, Plays and Performances. This is a fun place.

I have been taking my family to the Rio 10 for over a decade. We love the small-town atmosphere and vibes. The theater is always clean when have gone. Usually not very crowded unless you go on release days.

The staff are always friendly, never had an issue with them. The issue is how disgusting the theaters are. They all have a weird smell and the seats are gross. Now all of a sudden they are charging 3.5% fee on all card transactions. Not worth your time and money.

We are visiting from out of town for spring break. The front lobby, hallways and even bathrooms are a ruse! They are all very clean and nice. Walked into theater 10 the first one on the right across from the men's restroom and immediately got hit with the smell of a dead animal. I'm not even joking I wish I was. The seats, carpet, and cup holders were completely disgusting! They have lights so dark at all times so you don't see the filth all around you! You can't tell me there aren't roaches and rats living in this filth. No wonder the parking lot was empty on $3.25 ticket night. If they don't do a DEEP clean and at this point replace all of the seating they will for sure be going out of business soon! We won't be returning!

This weekend was our first time in since late in 2019. You know what happened at that time. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Only $6 a ticket and the food was also very reasonable. We will have to make this a weekly destination.

Rude! They conduct mandatory bag searches. It is a private establishment and they reserve the right…. but they were so authoritarian and rude about it that this small town “Power Trip” was not worth the price of admission. They have a monopoly in Kerrville for movie theaters and this is another example of why and how no competition in capitalism leads to bad behavior and ethics in a company. We will be spending our money somewhere else when we come to visit our beautiful, creative and otherwise wonderful town of Kerrville. God bless your day if you made it this far. 🙏✝️🙏❤️✝️❤️

I love that they're playing all the Angels Studio movies plus a large variety for kids. The staff is always nice in the theaters clean

This place is an interactive Time Capsule. It is full of retro games that will make any elder millennials heart happy. The best part is,we now have adult money to spend here!! I am so glad to have found this place and share my joy of arcade with the family.

Definitely a good place to take the kiddos for some fun. There is a party room you can rent and bring in food. He does sell drinks there as well. The games are fun and my kids always have a blast when they go. There is laser tag as well and it is decently priced. The owner is super friendly and nice!

This place is incredible and has so many games I've not seen in eons! It's very reasonably priced and used tokens and tickets which are redeemed for prizes. My girls had a blast and I can't wait to go back. It's so fun for all ages that even my 69 year old father had a blast!

Didn’t do the laser tag, which is the only reason I gave it three stars and not lower. Most of the games don’t work just didn’t have a good time but I will say the guy that works There is super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I will not be going again.

The arcade is rather average, and at the very least, only partially functional. More than half of the machines were either turned off or were simply out of order. The token machines - which you insert quarters and it exchanges them for tokens, which in this day and age doesn't really make any sense, only works sporadically and sometimes eat the quarters. No pun intended. Requiring you to have the front desk come in manually give you the tokens. If the machine should decide it doesn't want to do that. All in all this place really could use a renovation and revamp. With that said, I say it's up to you if you should visit this place or not. I don't really have an opinion one way or the other over it. I'm just glad at least some of the games worked.

Great air hockey table and a variety of games. Has a fun laser tag room for almost 20 people. But hands down the best place to play board games with a BUNCH of people, over 300 different games! Has a very nice owner who is incredibly knowledgeable. Thank you Cameron for always providing such a fun experience for our family and all the kids we bring.

Great arcade! My family has been enjoying this arcade for years! Owner/Operator is kind, caring and helpful. Level Up Arcade makes us feel like family, every time we visit.
