Enjoyed a great lunch here. I arrived on a Sunday around noon and after a 20 min wait I got a spot outside. Good portion size. Fresh ingredients. Definitely recommend to visit this place 😊

ORDER the gluten-free fries, you will thank yourself bite after bite until the plate is cleared. Ask for their Aoili sauce to dip if you would like to spice up the seasoning. Our omelette was good, flavored well, and hearty. We would recommend the gluten free wrap, any flavor that you choose. Perfectly flavored and filling.

Wanted to like this place really wanted to but just didnt do it for me I was so excited because they dont use seed oils and that is why I left a extra star up service was good the food just was not a hit it was just ehhh I did like the French fries

Love this spot- whether for brunch, an afternoon coffee or lunch with friends. I haven’t tried their dinner options yet but will be back soon. I love the repair coffee with raw milk, and usually go for their breakfast burrito. The golden turmeric pancakes are also delicious. Sandwiches and salads are great. Seed oil free; as local and seasonal as possible. Love the little shop/market next to the main restaurant. Cozy, fun, and good vibes.
KL N — Google review
I have a tree nut, peanut and coconut allergy. It isn’t deadly but I am cautious. This was my first time here. I look at the menu and see pancakes so that’s what I order. The pancakes come and I take a bite and I can taste almond flour. I work in the restaurant industry and go to a culinary school. I’m familiar with flavors and could tell instantly it was almond. No where on the menu does it say gluten free or that it was made out of almond and coconut flour… I’ve taken a class on allergies and I’ve taken a class on how to properly form a menu. I have never in my life been somewhere where an item is made out of nuts and it DOESN’T say so. Just think what could’ve happened if I was more allergic. When I alerted the server he made it seem like it was my fault for not telling him about the allergy???? He said he will take it off the bill…like I would hope so because I didn’t eat it and it could’ve killed me. The server horribly addressed the situation and tried to get me to order something else. I don’t feel comfortable ever eating here again. Absolutely ridiculous.
Sam F — Google review
The ambience and lighting is comfortable. Our server was average at best, not very friendly. My sandwich had maybe 3 oz of grilled chicken total. The bread was very oily. It was served with nothing on the side. Makes an $18 sandwich unappealing if it’s not delicious, and it wasn’t. Maybe we came on an off day.
Lili W — Google review
The food is great, but the service makes the experience at GOODONYA worth coming back again and again (and again). Make sure to try their coffees and desserts, too. Thank you for a wonderful experience, Sydney!

Italian restaurant
Pizza restaurant
Vegetarian restaurant
Buona Forchetta in Encinitas is a cozy Italian eatery that captures the essence of Naples with its authentic thin-crust pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven. The pizzas are a delightful blend of crispy and chewy, topped with fresh and flavorful ingredients that pay homage to traditional Italian pizza-making. The warm and inviting ambiance, complete with a massive brick oven named Sofia, creates a welcoming atmosphere for diners to enjoy their Neapolitan pizza and calzones.
Many people consider this restaurant the best in San Diego, and I can definitely see why. The food here is genuinely outstanding. This might've been the best Italian style pizza I've had outside of Italy. The pizza itself is pretty large, but thin enough to be perfect for one person. The tiramasu here was also the best I've had anywhere, easily a top 5 dessert of all time for me. The service was also ridiculous, with our food coming out about 5-10 minutes after we ordered which was shocking given how busy it was. The waiter was also literally from Italy which added to how authentic the whole experience was. For the atmosphere, we didn't want to wait so we chose the only available table which was outside on a cold night, but at least they had heaters and ambient lighting. Overall this is the perfect date spot and a top restaurant in San Diego, no question. Recommendation: Pizza Regina Margherita, Tiramasu

Perfect place for a nice dinner, family or just two! They accommodate any size parties, and the staff goes over the top for service. Nice atmosphere, inside or outside dining. One of my favorite places to eat in Encinitas!
M. M — Google review
Had a fantastic lunchtime dining experience at Buona Forchetta. The side patio is a relaxing spot and the service was friendly and attentive throughout. The wine selection and menu overall are excellent, with plenty of choices to suit everyone. Although linguine vongole wasn’t on the menu, the chef kindly agreed to prepare it for me - and it was outstanding. The portion was generous, the balance of flavours was spot on (which can be hard to get right despite it being a simple dish), and there were plenty of clams. Honestly, it rivalled some of the dishes I’ve had in Italy and across Europe – and I’m European myself! Definitely one of the better Italian restaurants I’ve tried and would recommend.
S I — Google review
Excellent pizza and pasta! No challenge getting a table for lunch on a Sunday. Reasonably priced too! I will say the oil and vinegar for the bread is served in an oddly deep bowl. There was too much oil on the top, you don't get the right balance of both when dipping the bread.
Maxwell M — Google review
We loved everything that we ordered from here. I came for my birthday to dinner with my parents and we were all impressed the food and the wine. We ordered the pizza bite appetizer. The pesto one was our favorite! We got two different dishes and two different pieces. The Guilia pizza was definitely a hit!
Riley G — Google review
Satisfying lunch experience at a Veg friendly Italian place in Encinitas. It is rare to find a Vegan Spaghetti Puttanesca, but it was quite tasty. Someone in my party raved about the Spaghetti with the Aglio Olio e Peperoncino sauce (quite spicy). The pastas with Pesto sauce and Cacio e Pepe sauce also got good reviews. The Focaccia bread was a good appetizer.
Ram A — Google review
Took me a while to make it here but definitely lived up to the hype. We made online reservations, we were seated quickly and immediately greeted by a waiter. We tried a bottle of Sangiovese wine, calamari for the table and for dinner had several pizzas and the eggplant Parmesan. Everything was great. The calamari was flavorful and expertly prepared. The marinara dipping sauce was good but overpowered the delicate flavors of the calamari. The pizzas were fantastic. I tried the Juna with hot honey. The most developed flavor profile of the night was the eggplant Parmesan. Next time we will try the pastas and leave some room for desserts. Fantastic service from the hostess to the bussers.
Jamie N — Google review
Tip for solo travelers: they do not have a bar so to avoid waiting, make a reservation, even for just one. Usually traveling alone, you can get into any restaurant immediately by sitting at the bar. The service is really good. The ambience is very nice for a date or I guess a date with yourself. They have a very large menu and plenty of gluten-free options. I had gluten-free pizza and gluten-free focaccia, which was basically just the same as the pizza crust so you can probably skip it. They make most of their cocktails with Soju, which is kind of interesting, but I just had a regular aperol spritz. Is it the best gluten-free pizza I’ve ever had in my life? No. That was in Chicago at Forno Rosso. They also had the best burrata Ive ever tasted in my life. The second best gluten-free crust was in Miami. But this is probably undoubtably the best in San Diego. It is chewy it is fluffy. It’s not a cracker so it is very good. Don’t get me wrong. I do wish they had a pistachio pizza with pesto that has been a favorite of mine at Neapolitan pizza places in the states. But overall, it’s worth trying it’s worth your money.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful dining experience that prioritizes health and sustainability, look no further than Peace Pies. This charming eatery specializes in raw, vegan, organic dishes that are both gluten- and soy-free while adhering to a zero-waste philosophy. Guests rave about their standout offerings like the Mystical Mushroom Quesadilla, Bliss Burger, and Magical Mango Curry Wrap. Don't forget to indulge in their delectable desserts; the Cosmic Coconut Cream pie is a must-try!
This is a nice spot to sit and have a cup of coffee or tea and a healthier version of desert. There is outdoor and indoor seating and is usually quiet. The cheesecake and triple chocolate pie are so delicious. ( the chocolate is my favorite) Ive also tried a few of the chocolate bar based deserts and those are amazing too. I wish I could rate the service higher but Ive had mixed experiences with the servers. Some have been excellant servers, a few not so great. But even when the service wasn't so great, the experience was still good They have a grab and go case with items like eggless salad, wraps, and deserts. I haven't tried the wraps, but the eggless salad was good. I love that the food is fresh and healthy, my body doesn't feel off after eating here.

Great spot for vegans or others who practice a raw diet. The staff is beyond kind and offer recommendations to guide your experience. Will be back to stop in and say hi when in town.

Peace Pies is hands down the best place for raw food. I had the Mushroom Carnitas Burrito and Bruschetta as an appetizer — both were fresh, flavorful, and super satisfying. We sat outside and the weather was perfect, which made the experience even better. A must-visit if you’re into raw, plant-based meals!

What a delicious spot! The San Diego Caesar was amazing; perfect amount of dressing and super tasty. The quesadilla was delicious as well. Cute outdoor seating!

Love from the first bite. Amazingly delicious, juicy and healthy food, that makes every cell of my body dance in joy!😍

Was traveling from GA and so glad I made the decision to stop in for lunch. The quesadilla was so creative and had an explosion of flavor that was truly remarkable. Was easily the best thing I ate in the past few months. Highly recommend!
John B — Google review
I’m wary of raw vegan places as they tend to be very bland at best. This place is amazing, wish I knew of it years ago. I’ve only tried the mushroom quesadilla with walnut meat so far which was incredible, and a Twix bar which was actually decadent and delicious, not the typical vegan healthy alternative but ultra bland flavor. Can’t wait to try more of their offerings next time I’m in town!
David — Google review
Peace pies has excellent raw vegan food. There aren't many raw vegan restaurants left anymore. That's why I made the extra trip to Peace Pies. I got a Bliss Burger with kale chips on the side, a carrot cup cake, and triple chocolate pie. All three were delicious. I will be back when I return to Cali.

Nectarine Grove is a charming cafe located in Encinitas, known for its health-conscious menu that caters to various dietary needs such as paleo, gluten-free, and vegan. The cafe offers a wide array of breakfast items made with fresh, locally sourced organic ingredients. One of the highlights is their famous gluten-free baked goods, particularly the irresistible cinnamon rolls with sweet icing and gooey center.
This place was amazing! The entire menu is gluten free, and they accommodate most allergies and have clear labels throughout the menu. We got the Boss Burger and Chicken Sammie and both were delicious! Probably their biggest win was the bread — the buns were phenomenal and tasted like they weren’t even gluten free. We also got a cinnamon roll, which was warmed and covered by a huge scoop of fresh icing on top. Amazing options and a great experience!! UPDATE: We went a second time early in the morning and the cinnamon roll was even BETTER than before — seems like earlier in the day = better pastries! AND there was almost no line!

I had such a fantastic time at this place! 👍🏽 The menu is packed with so many tasty options that it was tough to pick just one (my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach! 😁😁). I ended up going with the Chicken and Waffles, and let me tell you, it was a delicious choice! For my hot drink, I tried the Loaded Mushroom Mocha, which was absolutely heavenly. I really enjoyed my breakfast—such a lovely start to the day! 🥞🍳🐥🐣🧇🧇

Had the best experience eating here. So grateful to have a completely gluten free place to eat! Such a nice relief, thank you!! We tried so many things - regular meals, kid meals, desserts and loved them all. Would absolutely come back again. We were visiting from out of state. I wish they had a location in my home state! Im gonna dream about that peanut butter brownie 🤤We look forward to coming back again in the future.

Fantastic restaurant. Clean sourced food without lacking taste or texture. VERY accommodating for food allergies. They’re chicken & waffles and cinnamon roll tie for first place for me. Both gluten free for us. One of my favorite restaurants in the United States.
Ellie A — Google review
This restaurant has been on my list and I’m so grateful that I made the stop on my way from Orange County to San Diego! I have tried many amazing foods in my life, but this hands down wins some of the tastiest breakfast/lunch food I have ever had. The cinnamon roll is next level good, And my husband, who is not gluten-free, Said it was The best cinnamon roll he’s ever had. Whatever they are doing to make the food taste so good, keep it up!!
Taline C — Google review
Really solid high quality food. Loved the beef chimichurri bowl with butternut squash noodles. The burger was great too, next time might get the burger with the egg and avocado on it.
Brandon N — Google review
Came here twice and everything was sooo good! The first day, yes, it was very busy during lunch time and had to wait longer than I would have liked. Took my California burrito to the beach to eat (so it had been in the box a little bit) and y'all it still held together, didn't fall apart and tasted so yummy! If you ever have had basically any other gluten free tortilla, they always fall apart! The second day came earlier for breakfast and our food for five people all came out quickly. The chicken and waffles were amazing, as well as the breakfast waffle, breakfast burrito, pancakes, and breakfast plate. I'm the only one that needs to eat gluten free, but everyone thoroughly enjoyed!

This place is a gem for gluten-free food variety from meals to desserts. They have options for other dietary considerations as well. It's dog friendly and has great seating outside.

Thai restaurant
Nestled at the end of Park Boulevard in University Heights, Plumeria Vegetarian Restaurant is a delightful haven for those who appreciate upscale Thai and vegetarian cuisine. This charming eatery specializes in South Asian flavors, particularly Thai, offering an impressive array of vegan dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. From their rich pumpkin curry enveloped in red curry sauce to the delectable mock chicken satay served with creamy peanut sauce, every bite is a celebration of plant-based goodness.
Went to this place on a whim with a group of friends after going to the beach in Solana Beach nearby. Most of our group was vegetarian or vegan and wanted to try this place based on a recommendation from another friend. The menu is extensive and has so many options, and is all vegetarian and vegan friendly. We started off with hot sake and fresh spring rolls which were both delightfully refreshing and delicious. It was a colder winter evening in Encinitas, and we were sitting outside, so the hot sake was welcomed for the evening. From there, I was delighted to be able to order the duck pad Thai, which again is all vegetarian. It was absolutely delicious and I would for sure come back here again, and order the same thing, or maybe even branch out! The portions were excellent and I was able to take some leftovers home to have for lunch the next day, which is always an added bonus. We all very much enjoyed our meals and would highly recommend Plumeria vegetarian in Encinitas to anybody that is interested in either vegetarian food or Thai food, or in general just enjoys good food. Thank you very much Plumeria, I will be back again in the future!!!

Our first time here, and it didn't disappoint!! Good vibe, fresh food. It became my new favorite restaurant. Will be back soon !! Everything was delicious and good service 😋

I recently visited this adorable and chill restaurant, and it totally stole my heart! Our server, Bea, was absolutely amazing—so attentive and funny, she really made the experience special. I kicked things off with some Roasted Coconut tea and then tried the Spicy Ginger Tea, which was just incredible! For my meal, I went with the Somtom Authentic Clay Mantar, which is my all-time favorite Thai salad—it’s so refreshing! I also had the Spicy Basil Fried Rice; they stir-fry jasmine rice with garlic, bell peppers, carrots, onions, chili, and fresh basil, and I opted for the mock chicken to top it off. It was bursting with flavor and so tasty! To finish off my lunch on a sweet note, I enjoyed some Fried Banana drizzled with agave syrup and paired it with Thai coffee. Overall, I had a lovely time and left feeling super happy and satisfied! 🍽️🌟

Wow!! Incredible food and fantastic service. We had the tuna flower cups, eggplant with mock duck, pumpkin curry with steamed tofu, and mango sticky rice. Absolutely delicious! My husband is not vegan or vegetarian but said this was the best Thai food he has ever had and we eat at Thai restaurants all the time. We will definitely be going back!

We went for dinner just before they would have closed their kitchen. The fresh veggie rolls were delicious. This is a good place for vegetarians to visit in Encinitas.

We are vegetarian with NO 5 pungent vegetables (Buddha vegetarian). They can accommodate all this for us and varies selection to choose from. Easy street parking in historical Encinitas village. Very nice environment.

Great food, great owner. Everything is plant based and equally enjoyed by meat lovers. Only thing to be careful about is spice level. Base(0) spice is enough for me for most dishes. I prefer between 4 to 6 spice levels in most other restaurants. Love the food, atmosphere and service.

I walked by this gem in downtown encinitas for years and never thought to try it until this summer. It is unassuming on the outside but once you enter, you no longer hear the sound of traffic or people. The interior is beautiful and serene. The food is delicious and priced fairly. Lotus Cafe & Juice Bar, located near the Self Realization Fellowship, is a popular spot offering a variety of carefully sourced vegetarian, vegan, and meat/egg dishes. The menu features fresh in-house made items such as hearty soups, chili, muffins, and cupcakes. With options like Indian curry bowl and Yogi Bliss sauteed tofu, this predominantly vegetarian/vegan cafe also caters to gluten-free diets.
I’m in love with this place. The food is really good you have a lots of options to take, is Indian atmosphere but the food is not 100% Indian, they have option like quesadillas, tacos, sandwiches and the fresh pressed juices are the best, super healthy. All ingredients are fresh and natural, they also serve vegan/vegetarian food which is amazing if you are a big party with different diets. My family and me come back to this place almost every week, Sundays are pretty busy but still having tables to seat because the place is pretty big. I highly recommend it 🙏🏽

Lotus Cafe is a great spot for healthy food and good vibes. The Açaí Bowls are huge, fresh and super flavorful. The staff is friendly and welcoming. If you want a chill place with tasty, wholesome options, this cafe is definitely worth checking out.

East Indian themed healthy restaurant with gluten-free and vegan options. The three egg omelet was pretty good and a frittata was even a little better. The coffee is very standard with no exotic options such as butter coffee or espresso tonic or pour over. The seating is very comfortable and the Wi-Fi was about 100/20. Overall this is the place I would recommend trying when you're in Encinitas.

Haggo's Organic Taco is a popular Mexican eatery in the Encinitas neighborhood of Leucadia, known for its focus on using high-quality organic ingredients. This spot gained fame after being featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The menu offers a variety of options including sustainable seafood tacos and excellent choices for vegetarians and vegans.
Burrito Bowl and added Beef, for extra protein. This is a hefty meal for sure, and can be split between two people or taken home for leftovers! Loved how much food was in this, and the beef and chicken were perfect. I think my only note is I would ask for light beans because there were so many!! Too many for me, they tasted great and I love beans it was just too much for me. I will definitely come back and try their other dishes.
Lauren B — Google review
I ordered the vegan burrito that comes with sweet potatoes, quinoa, avocado, vegan cheese, greens, etc. In all honesty I can hardly consider it a burrito; it was more like a wrap. The tortilla wasn't grilled, and everything inside it was cold. It would have been a pretty bland meal if they didn't have five different salsas to choose from. That really took it up to a whole other level. It was fun choosing a different salsa for every bite. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, but it would have been amazing, 5 stars if they had only cooked the burrito, gotten that cheese all melty, and added some seasoning to the sweet potatoes and quinoa. A little more thought and effort goes a long way.
Isabella P — Google review
Legit Mexican food. Super clean ingredients. Fresh hot sauces. And...if you like nachos, they make them right. Real cheese, layered under and on top of chips, melted perfectly with cheese on almost every chip - hit this place up! 100% coming back with the family!

You should check out Haggo's Tacos in Encinitas. I was just there, and it's going on my regular list of go-to restaurants when I’m in the area. It's one of those spots that has food for everyone to enjoy. They offer meat, vegan and gluten-free choices, that all can enjoy. They do tacos right, no matter what you're eating. Plus their fresh made guacamole is a nice side to any of their entrees. The seating is what really sets it apart. They have this cool California room-style space that they can open or close depending on your party size. It felt private but still airy. And if you're just grabbing a quick bite solo or with a partner, they have a bar-style counter that faces the street, perfect for people-watching. The food was great, the ambiance was excellent, and the service was on point. Give it a shot next time you're up in that area.

This place has been on my hit list for a while now. I was finally in the area and im so glad I had the time to stop in. I wanted to originally try the tacos and ceviche, but because I came in the morning I was in the mood for a good breakfast burrito. And they did not disappoint. It was outstanding. My friend loved his torta as well. The woman who took our order was friendly and gave good service. This place is a must try if you are in the area.

Super good food with a nice laid back, slightly upscale atmosphere. I recommend the taco plate with the caesar salad.

OMG, I love Haggo's, their food is amazing and their owners are such kind and genuine folks.. I was so excited to see that they released an app that I could use to place a to-go order. I'm sad to say that their app is a disaster. I spent 30 minutes of my life trying to verify my app with no luck. I should have given up earlier and just called to place my order. I really, really love this restaurant. Their app developer has really let them down. I will continue to support this restaurant and enjoy their food / atmosphere, but whoever developed this app is really detracting from their reputation.

We love Haggo's! Have been enjoying the quality food here for many years! The menu has expanded to breakfast and dinner offerings. The chicken and beef are premium with excellent seasoning that compliment with just about anything. Some of our favorites are the Nachos, Uncle Rico Quesadilla, Ron Burgundy Burrito and all the tacos are creative with delicious and fresh ingredients that keep you coming back! The portion sizes are great too, we always leave here happily full!

If you're on the hunt for a delightful vegan dining experience, look no further than Native Foods Cafe. This charming eatery offers a creative twist on Californian-style cuisine, featuring an array of plant-based dishes that are sure to please both vegans and non-vegans alike. Tucked away in a shopping center near Trader Joe's in Encinitas, it may not be right on the main street, but it's definitely worth seeking out.
One of my new favorite vegan places... to bad their far... Visiting near by and I've had this place several times.. everything is delicious! Jalapeno popper cheese burger, California burrito, tamale waffle el pastor, orange chicken, sweet potato and regular fries, Blondie, all so delirious! I shared all of these.... lol I live in LA, definitely will come back! Ohhhhh but poor kids.. the Mac'n cheese.. not so good lol but still all the other food made up for that lol Enjoy!

Delicious, reasonably priced vegan eats, packed with flavor. The food presentation was simple, yet eye pleasing. The service staff was friendly and informative, and the restaurant and restrooms we're very clean. The portion sizes are enough to share. They also have kids meals and desserts.

Good but somewhat spendy Vegan fast food. They are imaginative and usually very good. We would welcome one in Cheyenne, WY. The various self-serve beverages are a tasty and healthier departure from the soda pop found at most other places. For dinner we shared: "Soul Bowl" Southern fried Native chicken with organic red beans, organic brown rice, steamed veggies and kale. Topped with ranch and BBQ sauce. Served with freshly baked cornbread. $10 "Native Chicken Wings" Native chicken wings made just the way you like ‘em: crispy or grilled, naked or with your choice of sauce (Buffalo or Thai chili cilantro). Served with a side of creamy ranch. Small $6 Regular $8 Sweet Potato Fries [GF] $3 "Bistro Steak Sandwich" Our Native Seitan Steak, thinly sliced and seared, and topped with house made tofu bleu cheese, oven roasted tomatoes, crispy shallots and arugula, on a toasted baguette. Comes with a free choice of one $2 side. $10 The "side" we picked was a side salad. On another trip here we tried: "Carrot Lox Bagel" Thin slices of salt-roasted carrots are marinated in lemon, apple cider vinegar, mirin, and smoked paprika and then combined with a thyme-scented cashew cream cheese, peppery arugula, a perfectly toasted bagel, lemon, capers, and house pickled onions. $10 This may not win over everyone, but we enjoy its original approach to an ethnic classic. Bon Appétit 😀

What an inspiring vegan menu! So many great choices took me forever to decide what I wanted to order, as I wanted one of everything! The lavender lemonade was the bomb!
Linda L — Google review
Food here never disappoints. I think the second time I came I got the soul bowl... There's a reason it's their signature bowl! We also took a non-vegan here and he really liked the "chicken" strips. The service is always very friendly as well, and we've tried their oatmeal cookies and peanut butter parfaits... All very yummy:) (Update: By now I've been here much more than twice, and I still stand by everything I said before. The service is also always friendly and quick.)
Cara G — Google review
The chicken run ranch if you aren't a vegan fan but want to give it a try, the soul bowl is great too! I am upset with the portion size and prices, I have not visited in a while, the food is smaller portioned, such as my meal, the cornbread, and the oatmeal cookies. The price was even higher than ever. I order the same meal each time and for two people with no drinks, one cookie. I spent over forty dollars which I know I have never paid that much. I won’t come back because I was chased out by the prices. I also order at the San Diego locations. I am a long time customer since years before this last remodel. I loved the food and believed in what they are doing but they have changed my quick bite into a fancy chain that I can’t afford. I am sad about losing this place.

We have been going here for years and are happy that it is returning to its former glory. Initially we were very impressed with the service and quality of food. Staff changed and with that change came a worsening of service and preparation of the dishes. Now I am happy to say: The burgers are great as are the bowls. I have had a few of the new dishes and they very much satisfied me. This is a great place to take a rookie vegan or someone who want to try it out.
Scudder M — Google review
Delicious! My husband picked this place just for me... since I'm the vegetarian. We were both impressed. I had the double cheese burger and he had the kimchee tacos. We managed to share with each other. My carnivorous partner is ready to head back... one of the best burgers he has ever had... I will definitely be returning!

EVE Encinitas is a charming plant-based restaurant located in downtown Encinitas. The restaurant offers a diverse menu of vegan meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The interior is adorned with lush greenery, creating a welcoming atmosphere for diners. Known for its creative vegan cuisine, superfood smoothies, cold-pressed juices, and local kombucha, EVE Encinitas has become a popular gathering spot in the community.
Wow! Such good food and huge portions for great prices. Split 2 meals with my boyfriend and they were more than enough to fill us both up. The flavors are incredible and the presentation is quite nice as well. We will definitely be coming back for more. The place is quite nice and I can’t wait to eat there again once they reopen for dine in.

Such a great little vegan restaurant in Encinitas. I've done lunch there and breakfast and both are good. The first time I went there I didn't realize that there was really cool seating in the back. The coffee was super good and the meal was really tasty. There were four of us and we were all really surprised at how reasonably priced the meals were. Everytime I'm in this town, I will make sure to stop in for something to eat. Great spot in a really cool surf town!

Just found this place while visiting the area, and we absolutely love it! We visited twice in the past week. The flavors and spices are to die for! I recommend the Hawaii 5-O burger, and the mushroom pasta. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and wonderful service. Walk to the back for the best seating!!

Went there for an open mic night. This is the back part of restaurant & one of the booths. Atmosphere & cleanliness was great! Had a pizza that was my 1st vegan & it was the bomb! Very welcoming crowd;good for all ages...

Looks great on the outside and enticing- sounding menu items; LOVE that vegan items take main focus here. Wifi access was posted clearly on the outside entrance, a good sign for ethical eating and some productivity. I ordered the "Do Good Things" smoothie, was told after paying that they were out of an ingredient. 'Not a good-tasting smoothie, sadly. Wifi didn't work; I asked for the password and was told wifi hadn't worked in months...!? This was the main reason I found parking and brought my laptop in after doing some research re: Eve; to try a new local place which is vegan and get some things taken care of on the computer. Had to take my hot item, Avo Basil Flatbread pizza (vegan) to go due to no wifi (*smelled and looked very good!) and the smoothie was truly not flavorful (but perhaps healthy?). Staff didn't seem too enthused about being there, but were very polite and seemed to be doing their best on a not very crowded Sunday afternoon. I had high hopes for Eve. There's definitely potential. The party next to me had watermelon lemonade which looked amazing! 'May be worth another try.

Wow, just wow! I found this restaurant because of an event held in the tonic lounge at the back of Eve Encinitas. The event was to draw awareness to the nuclear waste being buried at San Onofre Nuclear Facility. They had a short lecture then a 2 and a half hour dance ceremony with DJ Kalya Scintilla They have a variety of food options, and some really amazing drinks. I had a kava shake which was such a treat. Another big highlight were the best vegan burgers I have ever had, and they were very affordable for something so amazing. I had the bbq burger with coconut bacon, the best bbq burger I've had.
Sean W — Google review
Showing a wide range of options, the vegan aspect is a secondary thought while at EVE. My wife and I visited here for a nice evening dinner with our pup (allowed in the back room). The waitress did take her time and there are no alcoholic options for drinks. For dinner we went big and shred 3 entrees: Jackfruit Tacos, Beyond Meat Burger and a margarita pizza. The burger was fantastic. The tacos were pretty tasty and the pizza has seen better days, in my personal option as being a non-vegan. We will likely return to see what’s for breakfast and dinner, certainly room for potential!

I want to start this post by saying I'm not vegan but this place was so delicious and so interesting! My vegan friends were jealous that I went here. Sadly the salad I had ordered was supposed to come with pears but they were all out so I had butternut squash instead. Still very tastey. My friend had one of their flat breads and said it was awesome. Loved all the plants and decor. Staff were super happy and friendly as well. If I'm in the area I'd definitely return.

I deeply miss the Mozy Cafe and its delectable burritos. It is truly disheartening to witness the recent devastation caused by the fire that consumed this iconic coastal establishment. The Mozy Cafe was a cherished destination, well worth a detour of approximately 20 minutes to reach. San Diego lacks anything comparable to this unique culinary haven. We eagerly await the return of their tropical burrito and uplifting atmosphere!
Super friendly staff, food was great, not busy at all around 10am Friday. Nice music. Parking limited but expected with the location. Tons of options!

I miss my Mozy burritos so much. :( so sad to drive up and see the cafe burned down recently. Mozy’s is an iconic coastal stop, and well worth my out-of-the-way 20 minute drive to get there. There’s nothing like it in San Diego. Bring back the tropical burrito and good vibes!! We miss you Mozy, and your colorful neighbors! Wishing you all a speedy and vibrant recovery.

This place is wonderful. The food is cheap and filling and delicious. The burritos are so good, and the fridge full of salsa is a nice touch. Plus the acai bowls are HUGE.

I've been coming here for over 20 years, and it has been a five-star staple of the community the entire time. As of February, it's under new ownership. The changes to the food are nothing but negative. I've never not finished a burrito from them, but today might be the first. The owner seems friendly and intelligent, so I hope to god that he's willing to accept that the negative reviews are genuine, and revert the changes to suppliers, kitchen staff, or recipes that he's made. I've loved this place my entire life (since it was Papa Gus), and I'd like to keep it that way. Edit: smoothie was still good.

Plant Power Fast Food is a trendy fast-food spot that offers a variety of vegan burgers, tacos, and other casual dishes in a hip setting. Customers rave about the nostalgic McDonald's-inspired vegan options that satisfy junk food cravings without harming any animals. While some describe the fare as not particularly healthy but undeniably delicious, others praise the chain for proving that animal products are unnecessary. The milkshakes receive special acclaim, with one patron expressing eagerness to return for another taste.
It's nice to have Vegan food and not worry about animal products all the time. Burgers were tasty and it's close to the 5. There is a drive thru or some cute outdoor seating. Staff was very nice. Enjoyed yum.

We stumbled upon Plant Power and had to try some of the Vegan offerings. The Oreo Cookie 'snow day' was really good and the fries and onion rings were great snack items. Can't wait to grab a vegan burger next time.

What a surprise coming from the east coast to find a VEGAN FAST FOOD RESTAURANT! See the menu board photo. I wanted to try everything, but companion had a crispy “chicken” wrap that was fresh and delicious, and I have the holy guacamole burger, with a beefy patty. The other option is a hippie patty, which I have never had, but I imagine is made of beans or greens. The beefy patty tasted like an impossible burger. The burger had lettuce, guacamole, cheese (vegan) and chipotle sauce. They did not have any diet soda, which I should have expected, the beverages are all organic I gather. They were nice enough to provide ice water. Would definitely come again and I remain amazed that a place like this exists. Maybe there is hope!

Most excellent plant-based vegan fast food joint! Lots of selections! We had their "Chicken" Caesar Wrap and Southwest Avocado Wrap. Absolutely Loved the Caesar Wrap although the Avocado wrap was also good. Took home two Peanut butter pies. So rich! This chain is the real whole food plant based deal. At the Encinitas location they have walk up service as well as a convenient drive through. There is also a delightful seating area out front. They do have highchairs for the kiddos, too. I thought their prices were very reasonable. We will be visiting many of the other locations in SoCal and highly recommend them to you.

Absolutely loved my visit. Visiting plant power hits me with nostalgia from when I was a kid. The staff is very positive, welcoming, and willing to take the time to answer all of your menu questions. I absolutely love their menu and have had many of their options, yet keep going back to their good ol’ cheeseburgers and milkshakes. Highly recommend their snow days as well!
