Fantastic night for bottomless brunch. Literally was bringing us drinks every 10-15 mins fantastic service!! will definitely be back for another one!

We had my brother in laws wake at the Orange Rooms today as he was an DJ there back in the day and it was fantastic, Liz, James and the team were all amazing! They went above and beyond for us from start to finish! The food was delicious and such a great selection. Everyone complimented how tasty the food was. Everyone has been so helpful, it made a sad day into a celebration! My husband and I highly recommend this incredibly cool place for a function, the space is awesome, the decor is fabulous and it just has a really chilled out vibe. Thank you so much for everything!! 🧡 🍊 xx

Best brunch ever! Staff were very accommodating and lovely and service was very speeding! Cocktails were so tasty too!

We reserved a table at the Tiki bar for my hen do and Sam was exceptional looking after us , he was really creative with cocktails and very attentive to making sure we are our drinks are topped up, and that we were the just right level of tipsiness the whole evening by getting us water or low-alcohol drinks in between. We are very impressed and appreciative of that detail. Even when the bar was very busy, so I’m still managed to look after us well, highly recommend! Music was great, shout out to the DJ last night!

Was an awesome time with the unlimited cocktails, we came and there was a confusion as we made our booking late. The whole team was great about it and made sure we had our fill, Jonty in particular was a legend and made sure we were taken care of. Will be coming back!

Great time and generous amount of drinks! 6 rounds of drinks for the entire evening, using the liquors we brought along. Highly recommend if you have a good sized group of people to go with!

We had a great night at Bring & Mix, celebrating the Bride to Be - the cocktails and service were amazing! But more importantly the way the staff accommodated dietary requirements was some of the best I’ve experienced in any venue ✨ the detail and knowledge of the mixologists was outstanding! There was also a magician for part of the night and this was also an added (unexpected) delight… we laughed, soaked in the atmosphere, and enjoyed our night to the full! I’ll definitely be back… thanks! X

What is not to like!? A fantastic venue with an unique and incredible atmosphere, relaxed and fun. Definitely a place we'll be heading back to, although next time we may take a few smaller bottles and a bit more of a variety to see what the amazing mixologists can craft next!

Spent a lovely 2 hours here. Took our favourite drinks and got some delicious cocktails from it. Rookie error on our part where we didn't take many real spirits and took a lot of flavoured alcohol instead which was harder for the mixologists to use as a main part of the drink with more alcohol content as like the base drink but there wasn't a bad drink all night. All the staff were friendly, customer service was excellent and the mixologists knew their stuff and made the experience. The venue was fantastic with its incognito entrance, entry method down to the decor and music inside. Will def be going again.

We had a really amazing cocktail master class tonight, Arwen was so friendly and informative. We had such an amazing variety of cocktails, we loved it so much and we can’t wait to return soon! :) she deserves a pay rise!!!

Izzy was absolutely fantastic as our server for our hen party bottomless brunch! She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and her positive, fun energy really made the experience special. Nothing was too much trouble for her—she truly made our day unforgettable!

Food was generally really good quality. The food took ages to come and although it was busy, it wasn't rammed. Burger was great quality but overcooked and dry; gluten free bun option was good. Onion rings were again overcooked to the point of being singed and using the harder outside parts of the onion. So I wouldn't recommend; however my hyposensitive Autistic son ate them and he doesn't taste so it worked out fine 😂 pizzas were stand out and the kids meal great value for the size. Too much for my average 7 year old. Really good guacamole; both my older kids had the regular size from the smaller plates menu. I wouldn't bother using the app; seemed to cause problems especially when just ordering drinks. Had to let the staff know both times I'd put orders in and you have to register and select venue etc (couldn't find WiFi for the venue so it took an age as reception was poor). So app generally a pain in the bum. Staff were super helpful and super nice. I'd probably come again but maybe just order pizza.

An excellent" modern" brewery bar set in an ancient stone building, directly opposite the Red Funnel ferry terminal. A superb range of home brewed real ales and craft beers is available. Great atmosphere, fascinating interior, great service. A must for any beer enthusiast - welcomes families and children too. Some outdoor seating albeit on the busy road out front. Best parking for drivers is in the nearby Mayflower Park, at £1.50 for 2 hours.

First of all, the atmosphere inside the store is great, making good use of the old building. The staff are also friendly and provide good customer service. I had the recommended food and beer. It was delicious and the portions were generous. I was visiting Southampton for work and stopped by. I would like to come back next time I come to this city. Thank you for the meal ♪

If you happen to be in Southampton… do NOT miss this place. The atmosphere is incredible. The staff are so lovely and attentive and the food…. Without doubt some of the finest cuisine I’ve had in a long time. I went for the Venison pie. It was incredible. Prices are reasonable for the quality you receive. Would come back in a heartbeat! 🫶

Overall, the place has a cozy, warm feeling with different options of beer. This is the first time I've been here with my friend, had no idea what's for the order and the bartender helped us out, which was so nice of him. Definitely one of my favourite places here in Soton to hang out!

It's a nice pub in Southampton, just a few minutes away from city centre. They got selection of nice craft beer which at least one of them would suit you. It's nearby the cruise terminal so there may be occasional 🐦 visitings which kind of cute (for me at least). As it's a nice place with good beers, you can easily spend a long time in there trying out some beers.

Housed in an historic building on the edge of the city walls, this microbrewery has a wide range of beers, ales and ciders on tap and a small but delicious menu. Lush decor and good vibes a plenty - a great place to hang out near the quayside.

An historic building that's been very tastefully repurposed. A really lovely place for a drink. Lots of wood. I can recommend the "Jack 'O' Diamonds" red ale. Very drinkable! Super to see the mash tuns beside the bar in full use.

I have had a couple of average-bad experiences here, however on my trip on 16th March 2025, myself and my girlfriend had a wonderful experience. We had wine and some cocktails, as well as some tapas food and it was all delightful. The server, Daniel was so lovely and friendly, and made us feel so comfortable. This might have been my last time coming here, but Daniel has redeemed All Bar One for me. Up the Orient!

I went in recently and was served by Aaron, and I have to say, he was great. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure I had everything I needed. He suggested a drink that turned out to be perfect for me, and you could tell he really knew his stuff. The vibe he created at the bar was relaxed and welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely look forward to being served by him again. I hope he’s single too…

Decent crowd but the drinks were always topped up and the food was pretty decent. I actually don't get why Instagram dunks on All Bar One all the time, this might be the most well tended-to we've been on a bottomless brunch. Adam was a great host and we firmly believe he deserves a raise. Shout out to the chicken Milanese for having a world-class level of crunch.

7 of enjoyed a Cocktail Masterclass as part of a day of special birthday celebrations. Our host Ellie was really great and looked after us well. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who enjoys cocktails. We stayed in All Bar One for another couple of hours after our event - we were so “at home”!!!!

Went yesterday. Asked if they had table for 2. Was told by a happy waitress yes there were two. She pointed to one nearby and said other was round other side in corner. Did not take us to table. We sat at our table for 20mins. No one came for drinks order or food order. We noticed a few meals being returned for being cold or not right. We left!!

Amazing, authentic British pub with exceptional food. Don't miss the scotch egg, made in-house. Probably the best pub lunch I've had in several trips to the UK.

Stopped in South Hampton for a day and wanted to visit a proper pub, was not disappointed. Service was above and beyond any expectations, food was amazing and the atmosphere was epic. 10/10 I recommend stopping in for a pint.

Great experience, great food, and the gentlemen serving effortlessly tag teamed the meal. We split the ploughman, the lamb and mint pie of the day, and the chicken katsu curry. On the pie, while the lamb filling was tasty, it was the tender crunchy crust that stole the show for me. The curry was very flavorful, without being spicy, over crispy fried chicken (comes with thinly sliced hot pepper on top if you want a little kick!) And what can I say about The Duke's ploughman - can confirm it's big! Little bit of everything, mix and match pickled, fresh, creamy, crunchy, soft, savory, salty. Perfect to nosh with a few friends over drinks. Only downside that despite being listed as a sharable, when the server brought it out he didn't give any individual plates and we had to ask. But really that tiny misstep was the worst thing all night. Charming pub, a variety of drinks and food to match.

brilliant trip with some friends today, rustie was absolutely amazing, engaged with us and made us feel like regulars despite it being our first trip, there was good music and the vibe was cosy, our roasts and starters were great and the price was worth the quality and quantity of food! would definitely look to bring more friends here again. 10/10

The Duke of Wellington is a pub person’s pub. What I mean is that it is everything your expect … a good selection of beer, the usual pub food, wooden and uncomfortable seating, a staff that knows their stuff, but they were quite slow in taking orders, checking in and even asking about drink refills. But, what makes the pub what it is for tourists is its location just a 5-minute walk from the most popular hotels for leaving on a cruise out of Southampton. All of that said, my wife and our friends are very glad we made this our one dinner stop in Southampton. IT looks like there are lots of other pubs up a few more blocks along the main shopping area, but they all look to be more commercial. This place knows its place in the world. Now, as for the food, I had fish and chips and while I was happy at the time, I would later have much better fish and chips at several other pubs in Scottland and Ireland on this vacation. The fish piece was large by American standards and small by British pub standards. The chips (fries) were average at best. The mushy peas that I added as a side were the highlight of the meal. We also had a sticky toffee pudding at the end and found it to be quite adequate, but again we have had much better. So, for us the Duke of Wellington was a 5 for location, a 4 for pubness, a 3 for food quality and a 3 for service. But, I still say if you are leaving on a cruise and have a desire to launch into British food, go here.

Wonderful pub! Really enjoyed the beer "To Helles and Back". The chicken and bacon sandwich was tasty. It's worth a visit if coming into Southampton from a cruise or before leaving on a cruise.

Booked a quiet table, but told to sit anywhere. Chose a table near the bar before the music got turned up with speakers near us. Good range of choices on a GF specific menu - I chose steak pie, peas and chips. It came labelled, which is always a helpful sign to me that care has been taken to make sure it is; but had huge internal pain afterwards... Bar staff weirdly unbothered about serving customers when I went to pay - too busy chatting. Historic building with huge potential, food tasty, bored girl working the bar...

Amazing evening, loads of people from different walls of life, felt welcome and comfortable during the whole evening! When we got there the man at the sore told us to go downstairs, which in my head meant a dark and dingy basement area.. turned out to be massive outside area! Complete with a pizza bar and a stage! They have a HUGE selection of interesting cocktails! I had a pink one, a purple one and a blue one and they were all amazing! Love music was amazing and I look forward to going there again! Soon!

I love this bar!! From the outside it looks small, but inside its fabulous and just keeps going!!! It has a very good sized outdoor area. The theme is fun, the cocktails are great and the pizzas they cook fresh are delicious! The music is always great and the staff are lovely and do such a great job! Overall a very good bar.

Have been to The Hobbit a few times now and as a Teetotal person they have a great selection of pint cocktails for a great price to keep you both satisfied and interested! The pizza oven downstairs makes the most amazing pizzas, so amazing in fact that they regularly get busy just minutes after opening so expect a moderate wait for a really good meal! The overall theme is very D+D which pleases my inner geek. It’s comfy, friendly and very welcoming! I’ll keep coming back here as long as I’m living within reasonable commuting distance!

Rude, unnecessarily defensive staff, who don't do much to encourage a good atmosphere. We paid £10 on the door at entry. We went in for the cocktail t-shirt challenge, after being told if you get 9 stamps you get a t-shirt. I asked a bartender if he would stamp my drinks card after he'd finished making my drink. He told me he didn't have four hands. I asked another bartender if there were any drinks she could recommend. She told me she didn't have time, advised me to look at the menu and pick one and in the meantime, she'd go do something else. The cocktails weren't very nice. All have flat lemonade or cola in them. Our table was cleared by another gentleman, we said thank you, he ignored us apart from one silent, hateful gaze. Our custom was an inconvenience for them, so we won't trouble them with it again. Additionally, upon completting the challenge, we were told we had to pay for the t-shirt. We were also later told we could have paid for the t-shirt anyway. When we visited 12 years ago, this was a lovely pub, with a piano and a love for lord of the rings. Now, it's lost all its charm and no longer associated with Lord of the Rings. One bartender working in the garden was lovely. She was a gem in the rough. Otherwise, a very rude team of staff in dire need of customer service training.

The pub is getting 2 stars, 1 for the doorman he’s was super friendly and let us in. And 1 for the lady in the garden bar as she was also amazing. The rest of the staff in the main bar, acted like you shouldn’t be ordering drink and were just rude. I get your busy but they can at least smile, there was a girl in pink skirt she was the acceptation, super friendly and didn’t make you feel like a nob for ordering drinks.

Brilliant pub with fantastic Pizzas cooked to order in beer garden. Lots of seating, some among bushes which offer couples privacy. Bands downstairs at weekend and excellent upstairs with long bar and seating. Staff really friendly and genuinely seem to love working at The Hobbit in Bevios Valley Southampton

1/5 Visited the hobbit pub 12 years later. Met by arsey and RUDE bar staff. 9 x awful, gassy, weak 'cocktails'. later we then got to spend £6 on an awful t shirt. There is nothing lord of the rings about this place! P.s it smells like BO.

The food is 10/10 could not fault, we had nachos ,burgers and steak with the sticky toffee puddings and cheesecake for dessert. Our waitress Michaela was really friendly and took good care of us . The price was very good for the food and service we had. We will definitely be returning:)

My daughter took me here for a birthday treat. We experienced really great quality food, friendly staff, and a very nice view to the marina despite the scaffolding which currently covers the window frontage. The butternut curry was delicious. Service was excellent and everyone was so friendly . The two for one expresso martini cocktails were a nice after dinner treat. Beautifully furnished surroundings spotlessly clean, a very pleasant environment and a great afternoon, we will definitely visit again .

Good food for an acceptable price. The place has a great view to the marina. I gave only 4-star review as the staff forgot our coffees. Otherwise it was a good place for having a lunch.

Thais, our waiter, was so lovely and kind. Always attentive and asking us if we need anything else. Will definitely be returning, one of the best restaurants in Southampton!

Lovely atmosphere! The food was reasonable but could improve, in my opinion. They do have a variety of beers and cocktails and the service is quite good.

A perfect location for a date. Located by the Southampton Quay overlooking the boats. A very lush environment with an amazing view. Great for a Brunch or just a few pints and cocktails. The service is very good and very friendly staff. The food was very nice and tasteful, it was priced slightly on the higher side. However I’d expect this as it is in a prime location. A must visit restaurant if visiting Southampton.

We spent a pleasant hour here. There was quite a nice selection of beer. My wife sampled one of the cocktails. When we left around 6 pm it started to get busier. Looking forward to our next visit.

The starter was served within 10 minutes but it took over 40 minutes for the main course, the Caesar salad and burger. This is even though there were only 3 tables in the place so it was never busy. It was shocking that it took 40 minutes plus to make the salad(£11.45) and the vegetables were terrible. The salad vegetables were just lettuce and a little spinach that was not fresh. I will never go back. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

We came in for bottomless brunch at 12 on a Wednesday. Our server was really nice and took his time with us. Service was really great a couple of times we had to wait a little.longer than we would have liked but our server was on hid own most of the time looking after the whole floor while someone else should have been helping but was on her phone every time we saw her. Food was ok, not amazing but it was worth the money considering the bill was £32 each Our server chilly really did do his best for us and tried to make us feel like time didn't matter but it was clear he was rushed off his feet. Tha ks for a great lunch

Has to be the worst place to go to for breakfast. Me and my partner went here for a breakfast and the service was awful. We ordered American pancakes and full English breakfast. It wasn’t busy and there were only 2 tables including us and the food still took 30+ mins to arrive and there wasn’t any assurance from the staff that the food’s coming! The one FOH and the guy from the bar was terrible!!!! When it arrived, the pancakes didn’t have maple syrup, the toast was burnt and the “fried eggs” wasn’t even cooked properly. How do you take ages to cook the food and still mess it up. Seriously disappointing.

Really poor customer service. Downloaded the (heavily advertised by slug and lettuce) MiXR App and there was a QR code for a free drink. The girl behind the bar scanned it… said it didn’t work and needs the manager. A rather stressed guy turned up (necklace with rings on) holding plates of food that needed to be served, and starts tapping away on the till. He then tells me “the trigger doesn’t work and I can’t override it” I was like ok… and he repeated it and asked if I understood. I said I did not understand (I do not know the ins and outs of the slug and lettuce POS system) and I don’t know what a trigger is. At this point my wife suggested he served the food he was holding and came back, as it was getting cold. He said no because he’s the only one that can sort it. At this point he repeated he can’t do anything about it and I said that I was a bit naughty to heavily advertised this service and then not honour it. Hilariously he then said that the Mixer app is a third party “ and you have to remember it’s nothing to do with slug and lettuce” this is when I took the photo of the Mixer app being advertised on the rear of the till as he was talking. By this time a queue was forming which was making us feel stressed , the girl behind the bar looked stressed also. He disappeared to serve the food and came back and said he would try one more time. It worked instantly, he didn’t acknowledge us, just told the girl “you must have done something wrong” and left - seemingly a bit embarrassed. The tone, actions and customer service was so poor from start to finish. It made us feel incredibly uncomfortable and like we were the problem. If you don’t want customers to use third party apps with promotions, don’t advertise them. And if you are using them, please train the staff how to process it on the till, or at the very least how to be apologetic and friendly.

I've popped in here a few times for lunch. Really enjoy the tapas. Beautifully designed with a chilled vibe during the day. The staff are absolutely lovely. If I lived closer I would definitely have dinner and drinks there.

Went here for a bite to eat. The food is reasonable cost. Cocktails aren’t cheap. Would like to try more at happy hour when they’re much cheaper. There was live music playing and a good vibe. Food service was slow and one meal came out a good 20 mins before the other one did. All in all a good night but could see some improvements to make it an even better experience. Can book a table online which was easy enough to navigate.

Lovely food and atmosphere. Great service from our waiter Chris. Burger was very spicey but cocktails went down a treat as did tapas. Think if coming again would go for tapas rather than main meal. Swordfish was pleasant but a little over cooked and lacking some flavour if being very fussy.

LOVED this place! 7 girls out for a birthday dinner on a Saturday night....Great atmosphere, Full of energy, live music which was amazing and everyone having fun! Tapas food was really yummy.... especially the meatballs! A must have! After our meal we went upstairs to the club for a dance... definitely recommend and shall be going again!

I am a regular at 'RevDeCuba'. I love the drink, food and atmosphere. The live band or musician can be seen playing on days throughout the week. 2 for 1 on cocktails and great prices when booking for a large party of people 10 or more. Yum yum yum!!

I had the stake and ale pie which was great, and incredible gravy. The sticky toffee pudding was also amazing. Nice cozy place.

Fan Dabi Dozi! Great vibes at this English Tavern! Nostalgia all around, just before the start of the Christmas season, Very considerate staff towards my son who has allergies, They gave us great seats too, Our pup Brutus was super impressed as well. Super starters! Salt and pepper squid Grilled artichokes Nachos with Chilli, jalapenos and Cheese. Massive Mains! Steaks, Fish and Chips, Burgers, Pizzas All so delectable. Super value for money when going out!

Great small pub with live music. Usual pub fare and Sunday carvery at reasonable prices and friendly and helpful staff. A bit noisy by the road if doors are open.

A brilliant band played there last night. The beer was really good if you like craft and real ales. The location is really close to the ferry and cruise terminals so if you are visiting the local area I highly recommend a drink (or 2) in this traditional British pub. The staff are really friendly and apparently this was a pub/ale house when the Titanic left Southampton and was copied for a scene in the film. After sitting in the window seats last night I can absolutely believe that maybe true.

Walked in for dinner at 6 PM. Because we were not greeted, sat, or approached by waitstaff, we eventually went to the bar to place our order for food and drinks. Bartender poured the drinks, then refused to take our food order because she said they weren’t serving food that night even though menus were posted and we saw people eating. When we started to walk out, she demanded payment for the drinks because they had already been poured. We objected because we had told her we came for dinner. After arguing with us, she consulted with her manager, but he backed her up, refusing to hear us out. We felt belittled and threatened. It was a horrible experience.

Very much enjoyed a quiet pint here - 21/08. The happy hour prices were very reasonable e.g. £3.90 for a Madri. Polite, friendly service. Clean, spacious premises.

Had the most amazing evening here last night. First up we played darts for an 1 ½ hours, such a sophisticated venue and the staff are so helpful. Then we went downstairs for food which was of great quality, served very quickly and we were a large party of 14 at a very busy time on a Saturday night. The drinks are well priced, toilets are clean and it is a very friendly, sociable atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will 100% return again!

Walked into this fine establishment in hopes of having a nice pint and some food. To my surprise unlike other places in Southampton it was perfect. Food was outstanding and bar staff who went above and beyond for me. Kera on the bar was the best of all, Always talking to me and making sure i was all good and asking if i ever needed anything. Desmond on the door, Politest person i have ever met and always feel welcomed when he is on the door.

She directed us to the door staff, specifically Desmond who was able to give us stunning recommendations and directions on where to go.

I am writing to express my concern following multiple visits to your venue during my most recent trip. While I’ve generally enjoyed the atmosphere and service, I was deeply troubled by the behaviour of what appeared to be a manager during one of my visits. I witnessed this individual speaking to staff members in an extremely unprofessional manner — making inappropriate jokes about their personal lives and belittling their work performance. As a manager myself, I was genuinely shocked by the tone and attitude displayed. Such behaviour not only creates a toxic work environment but also risks damaging staff morale and customer perception. I strongly urge you to look into this matter and take appropriate disciplinary action. Good team members are hard to come by, and no one deserves to be treated in that way, especially in front of customers.

Came here for the interactive Darts, Jamie and Sylvia were really accommodating with their quick service! The darts are really enjoyable with your own private booth. Would recommend!

Brewdog beers are always good, but even better fresh and not from a can. We also had burgers that were very tasty. Had the Buffalo Chicken burger, which was lovely chicken, with crispy coating and spicy sauce. Also tried a bit of the burger with black pudding and blue cheese. A great mix of flavours on both of them. Currently there is a £10 deal on packs of beer, to get a beer, burger and fries. An amazing price for the amount of food you got.

All you can eat wings on Wednesday's is great. Wings are tasty, wish there were more sauce options. Fun spot overall

BrewDog pubs on the surface looks a very trendy place to grab a pint and a bite to eat. However the place is very expensive for average pints and food. The service is good however I would recommend supporting a local pub instead for better price and all round experience.

We had a great dinner at BrewDog Southampton! We ordered the buffalo chicken tenders and the Korean loaded fries — both were packed with flavour and cooked perfectly. We also got two sides of regular fries and some creamy mac and cheese, which hit the spot. The atmosphere was relaxed, and we were especially impressed with the service — Alan and Alex were really kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Definitely a place we'd come back to!

We went there for Wings Wednesday. Well... For a start they didn't have the chicken tenders as advertised on the website and all social media adverts. It's supposed to be an all you can eat in you allocated time slot. It took 45 mins for the first plate of wings to come out (10 wings on the plate) and then a further 45mins for the second plate (5 wings) so in our time slot there was only enough time for two plates. Very disappointed and probably won't come back because of this. Although the food was very good!!!

Our visit today was perfect, we were served by Alan who greeted us as we walked in, ensured we were familiar with the menus and helped us with the voucher we had. He was quick with taking our order and was overall brilliant! The food was perfect, and the dessert deal (rock paper scissors) was a lovely extra touch. Will definitely be returning !

We came for bottomless brunch. We ran late and staff super helpful! Food 10/10, had pizza and it was one of the best I've ever had (I've been to italy many times) Drinks - 5/10, tastes bitter, we only liked one of the many we tried. Did offer a side of Prosecco if we wanted. We opted for water. Some staff friendly, others needed a joke telling to them! Atmosphere nice, good variety of music, nice vibes out on the terrace where we were. Would come back for the food but not bottomless

This place is amazing. The staff are so down to earth and extremely friendly and helpful. We went for a bottomless brunch which was fantastic and great value for money. I stupidly left my glasses behind and a chap called Al sent them to my address and did not even let me pay him for the postage! That just proved to me that great customer service still exists. Nothing is too much here, I can’t wait to go again.

We had the best time at our anniversary bottomless brunch, and a huge part of that was thanks to Laila and Amelia! The bottomless is actually really fairly price for the amount of drinks you get- by the jug. Laila was absolutely amazing - so friendly, attentive, and went out of her way to make our experience special. Her knowledge of gluten-free options was really reassuring, and she even double-checked with the kitchen about cross-contamination of the fried chicken, which gave us so much peace of mind. Went for bottomless brunch with a friend on a Saturday and was severely disappointed. The staff were attentive at first but as soon we finished meal and were asked to pay (at the halfway mark of the brunch), we were instantly forgotten about. They all stood chatting at the bar and it was hard to get anyones attention for another drink. The drinks were full of grenadine and subpar and the food all tasted like it had been microwaved. Would not recommend. Might as well spend an extra fiver and just go to Turtle Bay/Las Iguanas.

Fun venue with a great atmosphere The Edge has a lively vibe with two dance floors (ground and upstairs), a cloakroom, and an outdoor smoking/seating area. It stays open until 5am on Fridays and Saturdays. Entry was £7 when I visited. Unfortunately, the experience was soured right at the entrance — despite having my ID ready, one of the doormen made a rude comment about my outfit (just black shorts and a black t-shirt). Totally uncalled for and unprofessional. Not the kind of welcome you'd expect at any venue, especially one that should feel inclusive. Shame really, as the rest of the night was decent. But that kind of attitude might put me off returning.

One of the best and most comfy clubs, however had some bad experience with getting in the club as I have extended passport and they did not want to accept it , cause they need to scan one page only, and extension stamp of my passport is on different page. My passport is up to date, however security just doesn't want to bother, so wasn't let in for several times, depending on what security guy is on the doors

Culture shock! As a foreigner it did not feel welcoming. Europe is so much friendlier. They take photos of you at the entrance and it looks like security prison. Drinks are substandard. £7 to get in, empty on a Saturday night! Sad everything.

Regrettably, this was the venue chosen for a recent work event. Issues arose almost immediately due to an older female security staff member, who seemed to leap at the chance to assert whatever authority she imagines she holds. She was unnecessarily rude, confrontational, and patronising, seemingly intent on proving some obscure point or imparting a “life lesson” – all of which served only to waste my time and that of others. It came as no surprise to later discover dozens of negative reviews online specifically referencing her – quite ironic, considering how she presents herself as exceptionally polite and professional. I certainly won’t be returning, nor would I recommend the venue. Despite the entry fee being just £3, it still felt overpriced. The space itself is rather dingy, though admittedly not the worst in the area. The overall atmosphere was lacklustre, and I encountered several individuals whose behaviour and intentions raised concerns – none of which appeared to catch the attention of security.

I experienced extreme harassment from the door staff at this venue. I ordered my friend an uber home since he was sick, the door staff kept insulting me, repeatedly saying he would “die of hypothermia” because I didn’t take him fully home, despite waiting until his transport arrives as i had to get home myself. Their tone was aggressive, intimidating, and completely unprofessional. They then banned me from the club for no valid reason. As a young female I felt intimidated and I had to walk away and wait for my transport somewhere else as the insults wouldn’t stop and they kept calling me a horrible friend, a disgusting person etc… It was around 3am and i should’ve felt safe waiting next to the venue however it was the exact opposite. The incel security team seems to be on a power trip, making excuses to harass women instead of acting professionally, not to mention my friend got home okay and he is disgusted with how they treated me.

Honestly wouldn’t even bother coming here. The door staff are probably some of the rudest I’ve ever encountered across Southampton. They have foul mouths and don’t speak to anybody with respect. They’ll be fine and let you in one day, the next they don’t. It literally depends on how the door staff feel that day. We were denied entry last night, way before their closing time & last entry, for no valid reason whatsoever he said ‘I’m gunna say no tonight’ we were turned away.. he then proceeded to let in everybody else that was behind us (probably about 5 people) Bar staff are arrogant and rude too, I don’t even think I’ve ever seen any of them smile on shift, if you’re gunna work in a bar/nightclub, at least have a friendly and welcoming face, crack a smile every now and again. The drinks are severely overpriced. And honestly I think doorstaff at edge all NEED retraining badly.

Sam, Craig, Mia, Gill, and the team were uperb. DJ was awful but hey, the party was amongst mates apart from that great deals on drinks and great staff.

(Disappointed experience with safety) I am writing to express my disappointment with the treatment my friend and I received from your security staff during our visit to Rita’s Cocktails on 31-12-2024. While I went to the restroom, the security guard asked my friend to leave instead of waiting for me. She explained I was alone, and might need her, but he refused and insisted she leave, ignoring her concerns about my safety. When we later confronted him, he was dismissive, refused to provide his name, and said, “My name is Sir.” Another guard also dismissed us, saying, “Ignore them.” This humiliating experience left us feeling unwelcome and unsafe. Such behavior is unacceptable and raises concerns about how women, particularly women of color, are treated at your establishment. I hope this brings attention to the issue and encourages you to take corrective action.

There wasn’t much of a wait for the food today, the food tasted nice personally wouldn’t have thought the amount was worth the price but was nice nonetheless. Half way through eating I found a hair in my food and quietly and politely told our waiter who went and got who we believed to be the manager who was blonde that proceeded to rudely respond with ‘well none of us are blonde apart from me what do you want me to do with it’ to which I replied ‘I just wanted to let you know I would not like another one’ as I was already put off my food. The manager then walked away in to the kitchen and with the door open a few feet away from our table said something along the lines of ‘what’s the point of telling me if you don’t want another one’ and talking about our table to the rest of the staff. I would personally recommend going elsewhere unless this is the experience you would be looking for. Our original waiter was polite and respectful about the situation but I wish I could say the same about the manager.

We had a night out with my colleagues. Rita's is reasonably priced. The chicken and champagne pie was delicious and good portion. One of our waiter was lovely and very friendly, the other one must have had a bad day. 10% service charge is reasonable. We enjoyed our visit. Thank you

Been here a couple of times for roast dinner now, and they do an absolutely fabulous roast dinner! Great portion size and generous amount of gravy, which is rare in a lot of places now. Beef was cooked beautifully! Highly recommend!!! Edit - absolutely gutted they've stopped doing roast dinners. Very poor decision because they will lose customers including me ☹️

Me, my partner and two of our friends went for a Sunday roast recommend by a friend. I don’t really do reviews but had to and it was actually the best roast dinner we had ever had! Best food, best service and what a lovely place! We have booked for next Sunday and can’t wait! 10/10 and I’m recommending to all my friends and family so impressed thank you all.

I went to Rita's on a Sunday afternoon to have a roast and I can only say the most wonderful things! The meat (chicken) was so soft that almost melted in my mouth, the potatoes were the best I have ever had, the Yorkshire pudding was handmade and the Cauliflower cheese was so creamy and tasty. Finally the portions were just amazing! I struggled really hard to finish my food because it was so well served. The staff was respectful, caring and always checking if we needed anything. We had an amazing time and it was worth every penny! Well done to everyone!! ;) And thank you so much!

Had an amazing day learning the intricacies of brewing as part of celebrations within the family. Met Kiran, the most amazing head brewer at BK Highfield, with an even more amazing journey. The science behind this is mind blowing and Kiran made this such a fun experience. Such an attentive and welcoming team, amazing food throughout the day and such a fabulous experience and tasting day. Who knew Kiran, your tropical IPA made such an amazing sourdough. Definitely coming again soon. Well worth the £95, with all the extras and tastings you get.

Had my birthday dinner at HarBAR on 6th and honestly couldn’t have picked a better spot! The marina views are amazing, the place has such a chilled but classy vibe, and the cocktails are spot on. Tried the Cherry Poppins with Mermaid Pink Gin and it was delicious. The tuna steak was cooked perfectly too. Great food, lovely atmosphere, and live music made the night even better. Definitely one of my favourite spots in Southampton!

HarBAR on 6th, a rooftop bar in the Southampton Harbour Hotel, offers scenic views of the marina and lively atmosphere, but some find the food overpriced and service inconsistent. Nice place to visit and take in the views of the harbour. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. The food selection is minimal, but I think that's a really positive thing. I enjoyed Fish n chips here and also tried their Tenderstem brocoli and the cheeseburger (over several nights and not in one seating!). The service was okay. Staff members are really helpful. However, I felt they were a bit overstretched at most times. In all, it is a very pleasant place to visit if you're local, but maybe spend a night or two at the Harbour hotel, and enjoy HarBAR on 6th over several nights.

They sell fine dining at a party club... Do not come here on a weekend if you are neurodivergent!! Food, view, mood lights, service very good. The noise from some other guests who were acting like they were in a basic pub was irritating and it's a shame the staff didn't ask them to behave in accordance with the price of the place. On top of this noise, there was loud house music coming from the back end of the space. The ambience of this restaurant would suggest soft jazz to eat and converse in peace not irritating house music that you can barely talk a word to your dinner partner or to the people serving the table. Half of it was classy, and the other half of it felt like being at a trashy sticky floor club or something. We left irritated and overstimulated and skipped dessert. Such a shame.

This was an interesting place. Food was ok. Some good some bland. We went on a live music night with a DJ. The music was inside (not outside) and was so loud couldn't talk to each other. Also, seemed very busy and servers were stretched too thin. I would not recommend this place as the view is all it has going for it. Try another place in Southampton.

Great pub to go to for an away fan visiting St. Mary's which is just a short walk down the road. Nice beer garden so beers in the sunshine. Food was fantastic and didn't take to long considering the pub was packed. DJ spinning the tunes help create and great vibe. The pub is a 20 minute walk from central station so not too bad although up hill, Would recommend.

I recently visited The Rockstone in Southampton to try out their exciting collaboration with Woosabi Asian Street Kitchen, and I must say – the food was absolutely outstanding. From bao buns to Wagyu smash burgers, every dish was packed with bold, vibrant flavours that truly elevated the pub dining experience. The fusion of classic pub charm with Woosabi’s Asian-inspired menu is a brilliant concept. The salted fries had a subtle truffle hint, It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into the culinary side of things. However, the experience wasn’t without its drawbacks. The food took a little longer than expected to arrive, which was noticeable given the otherwise efficient vibe of the place. Also, while the venue itself is cosy and welcoming, the lack of music or ambient sound left the atmosphere feeling a bit flat – some background music would have added a lot to the overall vibe. Still, the quality of the food makes it worth the visit and I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu. Just hoping next time there’s a bit more energy in the room to match the flavours on the plate. Rating: 4/5 – Incredible food, but ambience and speed could be improved.

Perfectly place near the red ferry. Came here after our day out on the Isle of Wright. Managed to get a table and had a nice selection of food to eat. Service was good even though they were fairly busy.

We have been coming to La Regata for several years and this place never lets us know. The combination of fantastic, authentic cuisine, atmosphere, and the team makes Le Regata a very special place for us. You feel like you have been transported to Spain and the don't want to leave. We will be returning again very soon for a family birthday, and for many years to come. Thank you to the whole team for bringing this special place to Southampton.

The tapas selection was especially impressive, with a great variety to suit all tastes. La Regata exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend a special occasion. Stunning little restaurant on two floors. We went for tapas style food, the restaurant reccomends 3-4 dishes per person. We would suggest 3 if hungry and can order more if needed as quite filling portions Very quick to receive food, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. A lot of chorizo on the menu and a (un)healthy amount of cheese for those dishes which makes it feel great value for money. Will be coming back

At The Standing Order in Southampton, we indulged in not just the quintessential British dish of fish and chips but also ventured into a delightful bowl of ramen and a flavorful Madras beef curry served with rice. Each dish was satisfying, with a unique mix of flavors that reflected the diverse offerings of this establishment. Of course, the experience wouldn’t have been complete without a beer in hand, perfectly complementing the meal. What stood out the most, beyond the food, was the warm and inviting community vibe, making it the kind of place you’d love to return to.

Good, large, Wetherspoon's pub about 20 minutes walk from Southampton Central Station. Nine cask beers on handpump when I visited. Lots of outdoor seating in a courtyard half way down the pub. The Standing Order is in the former Southampton branch of the Bank of England. That dates from around 1925 and stood on the site of St Lawrence's church. It was connected by tunnel to Southampton's medieval vaults. Not too busy after the Spurs game at St Mary's Stadium.

I recently visited The Standing Order pub for breakfast, and overall, I had a great experience. The breakfast dishes were outstanding, with excellent flavors and generous portions. The service was friendly and attentive, making my visit all the more enjoyable. However, I did encounter a minor issue during my visit. My breakfast came with a free hot drink, but due to a mistake, I ended up being charged for the drink. While this wasn't a major problem, I wanted to mention it to help the pub avoid any potential confusion in the future. Despite this small hiccup, I would still highly recommend The Standing Order pub for a fantastic breakfast experience. The tasty dishes, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service more than made up for the drink charge mishap. I'll definitely be back to try more of their offerings.

Really busy, good atmosphere, food was a really good standard, rapid service and the oh so great wetherspoon prices👌 would definitely be back.

Very busy 90%tables full 1.30pm Friday. Some smoking tables outside and on sunny side. Ordered food through the app drinks came 3mins. Food 9 mins. The chips that came with the deep fried cod were fantastic along with the batter on fish. Comes with a wedge of lemon condiments -main brands -available to collect. Colour scheme needs some work! Very drab - staff friendly and professional. Drinks nicely filled. Excellent value for money no music playing - still noisy with pleasant chatter.

Wow this place is busy but still managed to find a seat towards the back of the pub. A lot of the seats are tall chairs that are great for drinking not so good for food. The app is brilliant click click Apple Pay pints and food on table. Food is what you expect no a la carte but just honest mass produced pub grub filling and cheap There are so many places to eat in Southampton if Wetherspoons is not your cup of tea or cheap pint. If you want cheap booze and ok food with out breaking the bank then Wetherspoons is your place Staff are the high point, efficient, friendly and work so hard delivering food and drinks

Deva good! A really classy little Indian cuisine restaurant. Easily found on walkable High Street. We arrived early for dinner midweek so no reservations were required. Service was friendly and prompt. The food, the food, the food!!! OMG, did I say how good the food is?? We were only in Southampton for two days and we went here twice! I think my favorite thing was how much joy the food gave to me.

Absolutely excellent meal at Bayleaf. We were staying 1 night in Southampton and looked for a local restaurant. Bayleaf ticked all the boxes, most of all there are so many Indian dishes that we had never seen before. I had a Tamarind chicken which was delightful. It has a deep sweetness from the tamarind and tomatoes and a nice kick. My wife had a duck dish which was exquisite and another dish we had never tried before. Great service from nice staff 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food was absolutely amazing, chicken was beautifully cooked. 10/10 would recommend the chicken tikka madras! Service was exceptional - the staff even noticed my son take off his jumper and asked if we would like the air con above us switched on for a little while, and then kept checking in to check we weren’t too cold. Little noisy but it was a busy Saturday night in the city centre. Will definitely be returning if in the area!

Great food. Service was a little slow as they were full but guess that's to be expected. We had booked but got seated a bit late due to how busy they were. Took around 50 mins to get our mains (we didn't have starters). But we weren't in a rush so just enjoyed chatting. The food itself was great. Nice portions and decent price. Came to £30 each with 2 beers per person and sides. (£26 without a tip). Would visit again, perhaps when a little less busy 🙂.

The food is always spot on, good portions, consistent. And the gentleman that runs it is so polity, and genuinely respectful and sweet. We drive from Portsmouth just to go and visit them

Needed a takeaway and these guys supplied an excellent lamb curry with the best thick gravy. Generous raita, chutney, moist rice and paratha. Thanks. We would be regulars if we lived in Southampton. Fair price too.

What an amazing place! History, beers and food all in one place. I recommend the Liver and Bacon. You have got to have a drink here, you may even see the ghost of King Henry V.

Came to the UK a third time and am having a microwaved steak and ale pie in a chain restaurant. Reminded me of this terrible pie I had 2 years ago and had to post this review, despite the painstaking strolling I had to partake. Meat was tough and bland. Gravy was more of an inert brown liquid than a sauce meant to have flavour. And I thought to myself while I am eating a microwaved steak and ale pie, 2 years later, that, I would prefer having this than to stomach the one I had here again

We walked into what appeared to be a traditional drinking bar with lots of regulars, and were not sure we had picked the right place to eat. The pub has 3 sections and there is plenty of seating, and we were made welcome straight away. Helpful service, food not slow despite being busy and we had various Sunday roasts all of which were good meat, potato and veg and the Yorkshire pudding was brilliant. Would highly recommend as a really good family meal out and at a sensible price too.

One of the oldest pubs in Southampton, its like stepping back in time. The bartender Lisa was a hoot and we enjoyed a few pints and lively conversation with numerous locals.

Traditional bar in Tudor style with large oak tables, as if stepping into a museum or old ale house more than a modern bar! The ale was good, and the bartender was fast. Recommended!

Went for dinner with a friend. Sushi came out and within 5 minutes, there was a swarm of 5-10 flies that just kept coming and flying around and on the sushi. I told the waitress who was serving us that there are flies around and she came and started shooing them away rather than making an effort to do something about this seriously concerning issue. I then requested to move tables and she hesitated before agreeing after I insisted a second time. We moved to another table, they brought our food and the flies shortly followed thereafter. I felt sick and couldn’t eat anymore. When she came back, I told her the flies all over our food is unacceptable and she said we’re the only table that had flies, no other table, and that we brought them with us. Taken aback by her response, I reiterated that it just isn’t acceptable and most of the sushi was untouched because of this. My friend took away her food (cooked food that the flies didn’t really approach) and she asked if we wanted to take the sushi and I said of course not. She came back with our bill, with nothing reduced or removed and no amendments made to rectify this atrocious food safety risk. I reiterated again that this should not happen and she once again said that it was only us experiencing this and made a joke that we’re wearing perfume that smells sweet. I said I’ve come here several times and this has never happened, and said I won’t be returning again. She took payment with no apology or acknowledgment of the issue, no rectification, and yes I will surely not be returning and am frankly concerned for the food hygiene in this place. I should’ve noticed the 4 star hygiene rating before entering (which I imagine should be lower…) Otherwise, other wait staff seemed friendly and smiled, but still would never ever return at the risk of eating something bad. I took a video near the end where you can see 1/4th of the flies around us flying on the table and food (having calmed down at this point in comparison to the entire 40 minutes we were there). Honestly regret not just getting up and leaving then and there. Horrible experience, and a shame because this place used to be one of the better ones around. Came here on the Southampton Food Tour (June '25). I've never been a fan of Japanese food but this has turned me. Delicious sushi, friendly staff, and great atmosphere. Will 100% be back! Oh, and the plum wine and the matcha roll cake are awesome!

Ordered via UberEats and the unagi don had so many bones as if no preparation at all… Both bowl have bones… I need to pick them out myself.. and the takoyaki lacking in sauce and bonito flakes… it’s also quite underwhelming.

Be aware if you order delivery! I have visited Sakura several times and enjoyed their food. Sometimes I order their delivery. In the delivery app, they have an option for a smaller portion of salmon don. It usually contains about 80-85g of salmon sashimi. I know this because I’m on a diet, so I weigh and record everything I eat. However, this time, it turns out to be only 55 grams of salmon (about 4 pieces of sashimi), which is almost 30% less than the usual weight. I called the restaurant and told the owner about this situation. The owner said, “ It must be because the staff at the back of the kitchen have been nice and put too much fish in the past.” That is very funny. Thank you for letting me know that I have been treated well secretly.

Lovely little place for lunch! There’s on street pay & display parking right outside or a multi-storey right behind. Service was brilliant, the lady who took our order was so friendly and helpful and was very attentive throughout our lunch. They’re also very attentive with allergies and made sure to separate things out or recommend alternatives. We definitely ate with our eyes and ordered more than we could finish but everything was delicious! Lovely decor inside and great location with decently priced food!

Staff were really friendly and the food was delicious. We also enjoyed our drinks. Service was prompt and very good price. The interior design is so cute too. I am quite delayed in posting this review as we went on Valentine’s Day: This is relevant because the staff put a flower decoration on our table and they said that we could take it home.

Great place for beers and chats. Nice staff mostly and a nice pint. Toilets really need updating the doors don’t close and it is quite damp in there, which is expected from an old building. Otherwise would recommend coming here for beers

For future reference on Super Saturday of the Six Nations, or any other day: - Have ice behind the bar - Have the table that was booked weeks in advance ready at the time requested - Have the remote control on hand to put on the game that many people had booked tables for - Have clean glasses to serve drinks in - Have more beers available than not available on draught - Have a working light in the gents toilet, and not rely on people to turn on the torch on their phone. Female toilets were also disgusting I have been told. - Have the amount of staff to deal with the public - Please do not have your staff collect and break glasses over our coats - Please do not serve drinks in broken glasses That is a brief summary in our four hours in the Bedford.

Great place, great price. Well renovated and great for students as well as the residents in the area. One of the best pubs in the area. Only issue is the service time. Spent over 20 min waiting for an order.

Traditional British pub, the food is nice and not expensive at all, most of the times they have good deals (especially the 2x1 for dessert!). The staff is very helpful and friendly.

As an American 🏈 having a place to watch football every Sunday has been a life saver. 30p wings is always a bonus. There is a great crowd of people who are friendly and open to new people. I'm also here most Thursdays to play Trivia and upset the host Faber with winning to much😂. This brings me to the point where trivia is taking so long now. Faber has been taking longer each week to the point that it took almost 4 hours. It was fun for a time but we will be moving on to a better host and game.

Door security clearly isn't interested in helping this place succeed! Asked the door staff if I could pop in and use the loo and grab a drink was told this isn’t a public loo & I wasn’t allowed in. As you can see from the photo it was clearly “too busy” UPDATE following response from venue - I definitely wasn’t intoxicated as I had driven and pulled up and parked opposite the venue which the bouncer had seen me do so not sure how I’d be drunk and driving. FURTHER UPDATE - Told I had been earlier in the day considering I do not live locally to the venue and hadn’t been to Southampton for a good year or so prior to that evening and was just passing after attending a gig I don’t think I had been in earlier that evening but whatever makes you feel better - All the best Sums the quality of door staff up at the venue really. #powerfriendly

Really chill pub. Boardgames, videogames, wireless chargers in the tables and cheap but quality food. 100% recommend as a student or if you're looking for somewhere to grab a bite. Also an awesome rewards system which helps when buying a few extra beers in the evenings 😉 ('Tray 3' pictured - mushrooms swapped for extra chips)

Another Wetherspoons I've previously been to, however didn't review. A decent sized pub, including an upstairs seating area and roof terrace, situated on the northern side of Southampton City Centre, just across the road from the north side of East Park. This pub is the nearest Wetherspoons to Southampton Central Train Station. It was not overly busy when I visited, and was easily able to find a table. However, I've been to Southampton before when the Football is on, and this pub can get very busy at those times. Ordered a Sticky Korean Chicken Bowl, chips and a pint of Leffe Blonde. Total was £10.02 On this occasion I ordered at the bar (the app doesn't take cash). A small wait until I was served. Food arrived in about 10 minutes of ordering. A good sized portion was given, and food was of good quality and presentation. Definitely worth a visit, if you are around the area.

The smalles chicken wings ever in a JD Wetherspoon, may I was just unlucky who knows also had to go to the bar again to DK for the cutlery and as usual I wasn't asked if I preferred the bluecheese sauce so had to deat with the super spicy one that I don't particularly like.

An OK bar experience, good for grabbing a quick bite or a quick drink. We went on a Wednesday where they had cheap beer. However, the beer tasted very watery.

I know this is a slightly odd review to make but I really appreciate the quality of the furniture. So well made. Probably more importantly to most, excellent staff, drinks and value. Enjoy!

The place is always quite busy has a nice atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and the food service quick. There is the normal drinks selection and usual pub menu. Disabled access is great and I was able to bring my assistant dog and was made to feel very welcome and inclusive. Great place for casual drinking or meeting after work, or just a quick pint.

Went in on a Tuesday evening and grabbed a quick bite to eat. Service was quick and friendly and food was great. The atmosphere of the pub was cool and the TVs all around the place made for good entertainment. Overall the food was cheap all considering. We also played a couple games of pool after which is £1.50 a go. Would recommend to anyone in the area.

Popped into The Mitre on Sunday hoping to get a Roast. Managed to find a table, ordered at the bar and before very long it was brought to our table by a very polite and cheerful server. The roast itself was delicious, we had one beef and one turkey, both were plentiful, hot and perfectly cooked including al dente veg. Price was superb value at £9.00 each, the surroundings pleasant, clean and welcoming. Free parking was plentiful. Well done The Mitre.

Ordered jacket potato cheese and beans bought to the table with very few baked beans was taken back to the bar and the gentleman bar staff was very rude when asked where the beans where he stuck his fingers into the food lifted it up and said thats how the chef does it and what do we want him to do about it.? How rude what he should have said is im sorry would you like me to speak to chef and put some more beans on there.? Will not be returning not very nice service shame really.!

Popped in on a Friday afternoon and was very surprised to find Cod & Chips on offer at £6. Because of the cost I didn't expect much but I have to say it was simply unbelievable value for money and cooked to perfection. I'll definitely look to visit The Mitre in the future on a Friday to take up this offer again. I can highly recommend this pub based on my experience.

Food was great 👍 but to many dogs, don't like dogs sitting on furniture, so sat in garden,then dogs ,cocking their legs on tables, shame won't go back because of that

What a fun find! The food was so good. We ate every bite. Perfect place to share a few plates. The drinks were delicious too. We definitely got dinner and a show though. This crazy family with two boys that wouldn’t stop screaming tried to lie about putting their own hair in their food to get a free meal. What a show! I felt so awful for the sweet staff. And they were stuck cleaning up after the naughty boys who just threw everything on the ground. I would definitely go back for the service, the ambiance and the lamb curry/garlic naan!!

For our main course, We had the garlic naan and pepper chicken, which was perfectly cooked and flavorful, Overall, Tap & Tandoor is a fantastic restaurant, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience in Southampton. Having already visited the Portsmouth branch recently and being very impressed when I had to go to Southampton knowing they also had a branch I decided to book my lunch there. While I ordered different dishes than before I was still very impressed with all the food and it was all very tasty, my waitress Sam was very helpful and made me feel very welcome, as long as tap and tandoor continue to accept cash payment I will continue to go as the food and the service is excellent, what is worrying though is this is the second time I have come at peak time and it has been very quiet and I really don't know why when both the food and service have been this good, especially when way worse restaurants like bills and Zizzi are busy it's very confusing.

First time at Tap and Tandoor, will definitely come again. Delicious food, good selection of drinks. Pretty standard prices. We were served by Sameeksha who was lovely.

Great meal for two, early table without a booking. Had some well cooked and presented dishes, best onion bhaji for miles. All dishes packed with flavours and spices and innovative takes on the naan slider and the samosa chaat. Service was first class prompt and courteous. Food was quick and hot but no pressure to eat and leave. Waitress was excellent, attentive and welcoming. Shout out to Sameeksha.

Plenty of seating inside and seating outside in nicely done out area with cover.. Food was really nice. I had chicken Ceasar Burger and my partner had Ginger Chicken Burger 🍔 both enjoyed.. They have a really good Menu and drinks menu.. This is situated in Southampton. There is only on street parking which is meter but seemed to be somewhere to be able to park.. We will go again next time that way as want try cocktails

Incredible food! The Brazilian curry with panko courgette was stunning, deliciously packed full of rich and spicy flavour. 💯 I recommend this meal! The staff were very attentive, welcoming and warm, completely faultless in their service. The meals were given to our party (party of 8) promptly in swift turnarounds and they were readily checking to see if we were all OK and needed any more drinks. We'll definitely be back here but recommend this place for everything 10/10 across the board

We visited on the bank holiday; 01/05/23 after lunch time. It was very quiet inside but reasonably busy in the garden. It was surprising that we weren’t told most of the menu was not being served that day until we tried to order. Staff we friendly and welcoming. Service was a little hit and miss but maybe they were understaffed. Food which was available was nice. Possibly we didn’t the see the best the Smugglers Bar and Restaurant has to offer. I wouldn’t be a rush to return but similarly I also wouldn’t avoid it.

EXCEPTIONAL STAFF! My server Mya was incredibly attentive to not only myself but all of the customers. I only had a couple of drinks and some bar snacks but I was looked after every step of the way, more akin to the service levels of a 5 star hotel or cruise ship. The barman was also knowledgeable and friendly .. Well done guys. You're awesome 👌

First time here, and its tucked away on one of the backstreets which is quite nice actually. A group of 8 of us walked in and we were able to be seated pretty quickly. I was impressed with the food, the service was initially slow but sped up shortly after. Overall a nice meal and would go back! This restaurant allows you to charge your phone whilst at the table with a portable power bank from in house. That's quite unique and its the first restaurant i have been too which does this. Well done to Smugglers for introducing that.

Amazing restaurant with equally amazing staff (shoutout to Gideon for being so lovely and attentive. As someone who was a bartender and FoH for many years I couldn't commend him more!) and top quality food. Will happily be back to have a drinking night with friends. Incredible atmosphere and even a nice area to have a smoke/vape should you need it. Would rate 10 out of 5 if I could.

A range of Belgian beers and ciders on tap and a great comedy club every other Tuesday which was fantastic. They do a pizza which seems to be wood fired and it tasted pretty good. Staff here have a good sense of humour

In my humble view, the best bar in town. A wonderful variety of beers, both on handpump, for the more traditional folk, and on tap and in bottle. Includes stuff you won't find anywhere else in the area. Very welcoming with great atmosphere.

Nice and cosy downstairs! The wings were surprisingly good. Pepperoni pizza was solid but I'm not sure about the caramelised onion veggie one with walnuts, it was a bit soggy. Nice selection of ciders and beers but avoid the house brewed ciders. They're warm, not fizzy and extremely sweet like juice 😂.

Lovely place for a pint and pizza. Great selection of both Kegs and Bottles and good offers during weekdays. The only reason I take off one star is because of the service. The bartenders could smile a little and not be so uptight. We visited on a Tuesday evening and they weren’t even that busy. They forgot my red onion chutney with my Camembert :( I felt something was missing but I didn’t notice it till I’d consumed half of it. So I didn’t bother to flag it since the staff didn’t seem so friendly. To conclude, I would definitely visit the place again as the beer and food is good but I just hope they improve the service.

Came here after seeing Craig David and this is a great little bar. Sat downstairs in one of the booths listening to good music. Guy behind the bar recommended some good beers to try. Nice selection of beers on offer either draft or bottle. Can’t comment on food as we didn’t eat here

We had the best time at Medbar for our hen do brunch! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing, stylish, vibrant, and perfect for a celebration. The staff were super friendly and made us feel really welcome, even with our big group! The brunch was delicious (especially the cocktails 👌) and the music kept the vibe upbeat without being too loud to chat. Everything ran smoothly, and we could relax and enjoy without a worry. The bride-to-be had the most amazing time! Definitely recommend Medbar for any girls’ day out, hen party, or bottomless brunch, such good value and such a fun place! We’ll absolutely be back!

I had such a great time at Med Bar’s all-you-can-drink brunch in Southampton! The atmosphere was lively and fun, and the drinks were flowing – from amazing cocktails to prosecco and even refreshing mocktails for a nonalcoholic option. The food didn’t disappoint either – I had the Devious Mediterranean Chicken, which was full of flavor and gluten-free, a real highlight of the meal. The only downside was that a couple of the toilets in the ladies didn’t have seats, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, though, it was a awesome experience – great value, delicious drinks, and tasty food.

Our waitress was Abigail during our time here. We had a bottomless brunch the food was good, Abigail tended to all our needs and service was quick with a great sense of humour attached. All round was a fun experience and well worth the visit.

Tried to obtain access to this venue recently and appreciated that there was a queue. However the security guards at the entrance were very rude to us as a gay couple wanting to gain access to the venue. It was apparent that access to the venue was prioritised by friends of the security team whilst we were there waiting. And when we politely pointed that we were in the queue and had been gazumped the lady security operative said if you re going to be dicks about this then you’re Not going to be let in. We were Bon threatening and it was a very polite exchange I felt she was offensive and for a gay friendly venue was very dismissive of us especially as we had been customers in this venue earlier this evening and in numerous time before as our local gay friendly venue

Great pub for all members the LGBTQ community, however, everyone is welcome, drag shows every weekend, can reserve tables in advance. Laughter and talented queens guaranteed!

I've been visiting this place on and off for 20 years. Always a good time at The London. Relaxed, friendly atmosphere where everyone is welcome without judgement, the security staff do a good job of looking out for any potential issues and dealing with things if needed. I'd like to see a greater variety of cask beers but then I'm more of a craft ale drinker and appreciate that's not what the venue is about. The entertainment is always enjoyable and you cannot beat some 80/90s 'Guilty Pleasures'. I've never stayed there or been for food during the day, but have heard positive comments on both.

Cannot fault the way that this venue is managing to handle the new COVID-19 guidelines. Staff wearing PPE and ensuring that everything is safe and clean. Table socially distanced and guidance provided to all customers. Great to see Cabaret back on a Sunday and Roasts being served. Friday and Saturday night had a drag queen showing people to tables and taking drinks orders. Excellent atmosphere. Hats off to all involved in making this place an asset to Southampton.

I live round the corner from this venue and am a regular and I love this place. I go Friday and Saturday nights and I'm never waiting too long for a drink. All of the bar staff are really friendly and the place has a real sense of love, acceptance and good work ethic.

Atmosphere really good but it takes ages to get the food to the table, around 30 mins and not even on busy night. Also don’t expect to get everything you ordered at once. Pizzas are good but missing sauce and too much cheese. Staff seems to only be behind bar hanging out and not really bothered but if u got to the bar you get served and a nice smile . Worth visiting but hope it changes a bit.

Nice spot, sadly don't appear to brew their own beers anymore but they were supporting local with Unity brews on the tap wall. Murphys stout was most unexpected.

Went in a Saturday night - 1st time here. The atmosphere is very nice, good music (not heavy or too strong) and you can make some requests to the DJ. There's plenty of board games (which I was not aware and was a pleasant surprise 🤩) so you can play with friends and eat at the same time. Not a big variety of drinks but definitely enough to choose from! I'm not a very big fan of alcohol, I like sweets cocktails with more juice than alcohol 😅 so everything was perfect, but I guess you can make your own request when it comes to this subject. The staff were all very polite and attentive. I believe the only downside (in my opinion) was the fact the waiter came to try and collect the plates many times, but that can also be their policy or being just following rules (I don't know). I'll definitely come back more times 🤩🎉

Lovely atmosphere and good, quick & friendly service behind the bar. The smoking area closes early on Sundays, but that was out of consideration for local neighbours. A nice place to catch up over drinks for! I didn’t have a proper look at the menu but from what I saw it was well priced.

A favourite of mine in the city of Southampton. It's a great meeting place near other bars and clubs or certainly captivating enough to warrant an entire evening. There's plenty of space with a variety of seats on multiple levels. Plenty of screens for the sports fans. Also they have a pool table, free juke box, retro games console and a wide bar with plenty of artisan ales or good old fave classics. I only tried the pizzas and wings recently and was not dissatisfied at all. They have a great range of pizzas all made and cooked onsite in a large pizza oven. Yum. Toilets are good, lighting and ambience good, security friendly and the clientele varied. It's a fun, vibrant and thoroughly enjoyable place. Cheers 🍻

Loverly dog friendly pub, we had the lunch time menu and it was excellent, the kebab was a very generous portion, they have a great selection of beers, some cider and a couple of stouts, we tried a few and they were all good. We chose to sit outside as the weather was good but dogs are also welcome inside. They also have a pool table which was good fun.

Delicious pizza, yummy nachos, amazing local beers. And dog friendly to boot. Skip the dough balls - a little bland for my taste. Kids allowed until 9:00 pm.

Only visited first time last night with a female friend. Dj was absolutely fabulous playing some great RnB bangers. Served super quick, only had a iced water. Some strange characters inside which didn't quite get the hint of NO and didn't seem to be anyone around to keep an eye apart from 1 guy on the stairs, maybe if they could be more aware of the harasses. Would return, if do will update review accordingly.

Went on a night out to grumpy monkey, the fibes were great! They do 2 for 1 cocktails too! Aidan was super helpful with the drinks menu and provided me and my friends with great customer service!

Came in for a little boogie and drinks with my girlies, cam b behind the bar was very welcoming and experienced in his drinks knowledge, he gave us the best service! They also do 2 for 1 cocktails which were amazing! Definitely recommend coming here for great cocktails and atmosphere :)

went here on a night out and it was amazing!! vibes were so good, lovely staff. we were served by aimee and she was great. wasn’t sure on what to get and she so helpful with drink recommendations.loved the 241 cocktails, food was great and fast service.

So was recommended this place as being new to the area & I was not disappointed. The vibes the 2 4 1 cocktails are great & the service was second to none a young lad called Billy served me & his knowledge in helping me decide on my cocktail was spectacular pash & dash is what I went for & my gosh it was delicious so yeah I will be returning for sure

Been to Grumpy a few times and a couple of those times for family get togethers. Billy was very helpful & genuinely friendly with great customer service skills! (Give this guy a promotion!) was not waiting long at the bar each time and the place is a nice atmosphere. Thank you

Amazing value vegan and meaty burgers. Lots of flavour with fresh ingredients used in these burgers. The largest and tastiest onions I’ve ever had. Meat eater enjoyed the meaty tasting vegan burgers. And unusual to see bagel bun - which was different and also gluten free !! Generous portion of fries. Go pick it up for the best value.

I always forget how filling and wonderful the food from black pheonix is. I almost couldn't start on my burger because I enjoyed the GIANT gf onion rings and loaded fries so much. The gluten free bun isn't as much fun as the blue buns or pretzel/brioche options but they don't detract from the rest of a burger which is a massive plus in comparison to other gluten free burger options I've had. I had the Vegan and gluten free burger from the new autumn menu "bean" burger: soft gluten free bun, jackfruit patty, BBQ pit beans, hash brown, black treacle bbq sauce, vegan cheese mix. It was so flavourful and incredible but seriously I could live off the the giant onion rings. The blue burger is also from the autumn menu: blue screen Fantastic for dietary restrictions like vegan and/or gluten free as well as the meat eaters. No one is left out of some truly awesome options.

I absolutely love it here. Been 3 times already. Vegan options are incredible. Food is really tasty. Really great location too as theres loads of parking right next door. Staff are really friendly. Great great pub.

Amazing service and the food oh my goodness the food.....Amazing....the beef the brisket the taste quality and presentation... bit pricey but definitely worth it, the loaded chips never seen so many choices. Wouldn't say my type of music and atmosphere but go early for the food, in fact it was quiet when I went with younger friends during week and I was spoilt for choices so I bought 2 meals and took one home boxed and bagged....good choices of soft drinks for a pub.....cream soda.....just loved it even though came in a can, but glass and ice supplied......these guys don't look like they can cook but wow......

There's a reason why this pubs call the black phoenix...because their burgers and fries are top of the pecking order, well made and of high quality without hardly any oil! Been looking for a decent burger place for a while, the fries were amazing and the pretzel burger and Mac cheese an awesome idea, what a combination it wasn't overpowering absolutely hit the spot!! The burger was the perfect size, you get X2 burgers and it's not too much so fills you up perfectly. You can even choose how you want the beef cooked which I wasn't even aware of! No more buying x4 small cheese burgers at maccds for me, thanks so much and to Uber eats!!!

THE BEST BURGER I HAVE EVER HAD! There's not a lot of vegetarian options around Southampton, but I am incredibly happy that I found The Black Pheonix Pub. I had our meals delivered by Uber Eats, and the food was still piping hot! Pictured is the 'Lucy' (Veggie burger topped with cheese and peanut butter in a pretzel bun) and I thoroughly recommend it! I'd happily eat it again! We also ordered the 'Frazzle', Vegan Loaded Fries and Cheeso's (I put one of them inside the buger) and everything was wonderful!

We'd heard good things about the vegan roast so came to check it out and we were not disappointed! The staff were super friendly, the food was amazing, music was good, and there's a great beer selection 🍻

Had a lovely a time doing the bottomless. Alex and Tracy were amazing waiters/ bar staff. They kept us entertained and our drinks full! Food was also incredible and came at the perfect time!

Went to mailroom for bottomless brunch service was brilliant from Sarah drinks were quick and a good selection. Food was delicious and a good size. When we went there wasn’t many other table so was quiet but still a good atmosphere.

We booked our wedding reception at The Titanic pub. Jack was incredible at making sure everything was perfect before the day- we reviewed the buffet menu for the guests, the music and Emma set up the tables so well- everything was fantastic. Come to the day- the food was amazing (thank you to the chef- didn’t catch his name unfortunately), the atmosphere was great and we thoroughly recommend having a party/event at the titanic. They couldn’t do enough for us! Thank you so much.

Great place for a quick drink or bite to eat. Full of titanic history set in the heart of Southampton. We popped in for drink and it was relaxed and friendly. Reasonably priced also.

A delicious roast dinner, in a giant Yorkshire pudding! We just walked in and got a seated straight away! The staff were friendly, the food was sensational and we can’t wait to go back!

Lovely old fashioned pub with lots of Titanic memorabilia on the walls It was a bit quiet on a weeknight but the atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming and most importantly a good pint of Doom Bar

This place is crisp, clean, friendly and when I showed up lively but far from intimidating or obnoxious. It has a warm feel and can see it being a great place for a relaxing pint after seeing the sights. If I have to niggle, no outside space I found and no real ales on, plus side, Guiness was very nice.

Old school, traditional pub, with a proper old world vibe to it adding to a great atmosphere. Excellent range of beverages on offer, excellent service delivered by friendly ,welcoming staff. Would highly recommend a visit if your in the area.

A lovely pub in which to enjoy a drink after visiting the Tudor House. When we were there, the kitchen seemed to have issues as several of the menu options were unavailable. And the bar had no crisps! The beer was good though. A large TV showing sport, but the sound was muted and there was background music instead. Ideal.

Visited with friends on a Friday night. Was a great time with great people. Music was fun and easy to sing along to. We all had a great time dancing badly, drinking too much and trying to stuff 8 people in the photo booth. The stripper pole was an unexpected, but memorable experience.

Shannon-Marie was awesome, she made the whole night really special for the bride to be! I would fully recommend coming to pop world for a memorable night out, and even more special if Shannon-Marie is responsible for your party!

Staff were great but it’s more of the doormen and security. I went for a wee the suddenly was escorted out for being too drunk. I was literally the most sober amongst my friends. I believe it was racially motivated as I was the only asian guy amongst my friends, went to a different club and was not even stopped. Hope management will do better regarding this incident. The head doorman was no help at all.

Super fun place with great tunes for everyone. One of not many places open late in Southampton. Convenient with many transport links. Safe and friendly vibe.

I had felt really uncomfortable at Popworld after being touched and harassed by a man in the club, so I reported it to the bouncer named Moe or Mo, he made me feel much more comfortable and safe within this venue, I’m glad to see Popworld hiring good security staff as previously I’ve had negative experiences within Popworld with the security team a few years ago.

Impeccable service in both drinks and hospitality of staff and owners. Highly impressed by the reliability of staff in regards to comfortability of the environment and responsibility alike.

Cris was absolutely amazing, it was such a great experience being in here. The atmosphere is just something you don’t experience anywhere else. Alan is a great guy. This place is just so special.

Everyone knows Jesters if you are a student in Southampton or even the locals. Jesters is half night club, half bar (Clowns). Jesters is underneath and houses good music, cheap alcohol and a mosh pit type dance floor. It is nowhere near as bad as some festivals but definitely an experience. If you haven't been, go! It deserves a 5 star because its Jesters! Haha!

Happy that we went but never going back - stickiest floor in existence.

We booked The Crib in Southampton exclusively for a bottomless brunch to celebrate my sister’s hen party, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish! The staff went above and beyond to make the day special – they were incredibly attentive, friendly, and so on the ball. There was never a moment when anyone was waiting for a drink, and the service was just seamless. The way the tables were set up was ideal – all 20 of us could see and chat with each other easily, which made the whole experience feel really connected and fun. The pizza was delicious, and the drinks kept flowing. They were also super accommodating with the little extras – I had made gift bags and activity kits for each guest, and the team kindly took them in advance and had everything beautifully laid out on the tables for our arrival. Thanks to The Crib, the hen party was a huge success and such a memorable day. I’m so glad we chose to celebrate there – highly recommend for any special occasion, and I'll definitely be back!

The best bottomless brunch in Southampton and we’ve done them all! Big Dave was superb in keeping the drinks flowing. Did not leave sober 😂 pizzas were lush and the drinks very strong! Absolutely fantastic!!!!

Came in friends for some drinks and pizza as it was international pizza day. We were not disappointed! Awesome decor and very welcoming. The staff are real friendly. But let's talk about the Pizza Yum! We all loved our slices. We didn't get to try the shuffleboard but I will definitely be ordering pizza there in the future and I won't hesitate to come back for cocktails too.

The two ladies on the bar for us where fantastic! They kept the place clear of glasses, helped with requests and put up with our nonsense all night. Really fantastic evening in the heart of Southampton. Thank you so much. Excellent atmosphere, and really reasonably priced!!

I had never heard of shuffleboard prior to going to The Crib. inside, the decoration is Instagram worthy, and playing the game itself is excellent fun! (why don't all venues have shuffleboards!?) the staff were super friendly and helpful and we will definitely be back to play again soon! I took my work colleagues for a late lunch to play and they loved it. As we were working we had mocktails and I can 100% recommend the Cuban mojito that was alcohol free (the rum is replaced with apple juice and oh my goodness it was delicious!). The pizza slices are delicious too! If, like me, you like going to places when they are quiet, I can recommend booking a table at around 4pm on a Sunday - my experience has always been excellent when I go at this time.

Had a lovely afternoon tea experience at Ruby's. Welcoming ambience, the sandwiches were very fresh and the staff paid great attention to detail around my nut allergy. My husband particularly enjoyed the battenberg cake. Would visit again!

My now wife Helen and I were married at the Grand at the end of June . From first contact with the Grand we knew we were choosing a very special venue . Our contacts Emma and Jonny were very professional and made us feel at ease and were very accommodating for any special requests we had. They kept in regular contact with us right up to the big day . On the wedding day they had made every effort to make us feel special and the ceremony went seamless . The food was amazing and our guests couldn't get over how good their meals were and the evening buffet far exceeded our expectations. My only wish is that I had a bigger box to take some more home as there was a lot left due to the generosity of the Grand . All the staff on the day were brilliant ,nothing was too much for them . The venue itself looked amazing and decorated in the exact colours we had asked for . I truly do wish I could relive that day . From my wife and i...Thank you so much to all of you at the Grand .

A beautiful building located at the side of South Western Hotel & next to the old railway station that is now a casino. We visited for a wedding & the large room was indeed grand! Beautiful decor with chandeliers.

Went there for afternoon tea over the weekend and it was lovely. The staff were all very attentive and welcoming. The food was lovely, so was the tea. I also enjoyed the atmosphere of this lovely historic building. I would definitely visit again.

Had a fantastic time for Mamma Mia bottomless brunch. Food was amazing and staff were really attentive and friendly. My Prosecco glass was constantly full 🥂 Stunning atmosphere can’t wait to go again!

Really impressed with the afternoon tea served here! In all honesty, I wasnt expecting anything great. For £24, at a bar in town...I thought it would be pretty standard. But, I will admit this was possibly one of my favourite afternoon teas I've had! The sarnies were great, and perfect portions! The sweet treats were delicious and beautifully presented!! We were offered a complimentary glass of prosecco when we arrived, and again as we were paying up! Service was great. Staff would check all was well and then left us to it, while remaining nearby should we need refills etc. Our table was 12-2.30, but we never felt rushed to leave (we left about 3.30!) and could have easily stayed there into the evening. Overall, we really enjoyed our afternoon and will definitely be booking again!! Thanks so much!

Had a Lovely afternoon tea here, sandwiches were scrummy, they even did a special.one for our son who's 11. The cakes and scones didn't disappoint. Lovely building, helpful staff. The Grand cafe interior was quirky and a nice atmosphere.
