My wife has a severe peanut allergy and this is the first place in Bali that catered for it and cared. The food was also absolutely phenomenal. I’m not even joking. Each dish was instagrammable and the taste was second to none. The service is worthy of Michelin star. Well done to all the staff that work there. It’s an amazing place and I can’t wait to come back before we leave. The drinks were sensational too. Honestly I can’t rate this place highly enough. Thank you once again for an amazing meal. My wife will talk about this his for decades, and so will I. If you’re in Ubud you MUST have a meal here.

Friday night at Donna was amazing! The staff were very polite and have great knowledge of the menus. The food and drinks was 10/10 downstairs in the restaurant area. Upstairs cocktail bar was 12/10 THE BEST IVE BEEN TOO!! Highly recommend for a premium food and drink restaurant.

What an amazing experience…. Food a 10, drinks a 10, Agus our waiter…. A 100… would highly recommend having dinner here. We will be back! The best we’ve had in Bali hands down, and top 10 in our time. Loved it!

Excellent tasting and well presented food at a reasonable price. I would personally recommend the Tasmanian Salmon and definitely the Donna dessert. Table next to us were celebrating a birthday and the other side came to celebrate their last night in Bali. It is a special venue. Be sure to book in advance as it os very popular and we could not get a table when we tried to book the first time.

This is the second year we are coming to this place because we absolutely love it! The food is amazing, quality, presentation, everything! But the highlight of the place is service. Every single staff member are at the top of their game. Augus went above above and beyond to make it even extra special. We will definitely be back!!!

The place is really cozy, with a great atmosphere and a nice selection of songs. The cocktails are tasty—though they could use just a touch more spirit. The food was exceptional, definitely a highlight of the evening. The staff were friendly and attentive, though at times a little too eager when offering additional drinks or dishes.

One of the best bar kitchen in town. They serve a lot varieties of excellent cocktails. We had a couple visited in September, we had felt enjoyed spent our time to had dinner here. Pay attention staff and better make a reservation in advance.

Ibu Susu in Ubud is an absolute must-visit! The food here is just incredible, bursting with flavour and beautifully presented—every dish we tried left us wanting more. Their cocktails are honestly the best in town (you have to try them all!), and the bar team really knows how to impress. The staff make every meal a delight with their next-level friendliness and warm hospitality. On both of my trips to Ubud, I found myself coming back to Ibu Susu at least four times each visit—that’s how good it is! I’m already looking forward to my next trip back. My absolute favourite is the Snapper Ceviche, which I still crave every day. Can’t recommend this place highly enough!

This is by far one of my favourite places in Ubud! If you're looking for delicious food, the perfect hand crafted cocktails, great atmosphere, topped off with fantastic service, look no further! I am still working my way through their menu, but so far have absolutely loved the chicken wings, steamed buns and dim sum, the red snapper carpaccio is unreal! We had the duck pancakes and the beef randang which were so yummy!!! The pandan crepe and chocolate brulé are the perfect desserts! Ketut and his super team of bartenders and mixologists bring out new flavour combinations with their monthly cocktail specials, plus a great happy hour makes it so easy to keep coming back!! Highly highly recommend!!

While the food and cocktails at IBU SUSU are phenomenal (bartender Agung made me personalized drinks I'm still craving!), it's the staff that truly makes this place exceptional. Indra was our guardian angel for the evening. He greeted us, helped with parking, and provided impeccable, warm service all night. Sambo and Srik were also wonderful. We were amazed that every single team member, from the waiters to the bartenders, had complete and total knowledge of the entire menu. Their expertise is astounding. A final note on the owner, Ketut—he was so involved we didn't even realize he was the owner until the end! That hands-on approach reflects in the incredible service culture here.

I love Ibu Susu. Laid back, great decor and lovely food. You won’t find a better selection of cocktails in Ubud. And I genuinely think the chocolate crème brûlée is one of the best desserts I’ve had - ever (and I’ve eaten in lots of great places around the world!). The staff are very attentive and the food is really tasty. Clearly a place that has had a lot of thought and love poured into it. As Ubud becomes increasingly commercialised, its lovely to see a place that still has an indie vibe!

Don’t understand how this place doesn’t have 5 stars to be honest. I don’t usually like to eat food I could easily get back home when I’m somewhere like Bali, but this place absolutely nails every single little detail. Food, atmosphere, drinks, staff, decor… it’s like being in a really good restaurant in Melbourne but nowhere near as expensive and in beautiful Bali. I would definitely go back.

The food was all pretty good! I especially liked their crispy pork belly and the pork satay—the charred edges made it super crispy and juicy. On a warm but cloudy day, a glass of mint lemon tea hit just right. We were lucky to get a seat without waiting, and the food came out pretty fast. The space wasn’t crowded at all. Highly recommend their Bebek Betutu and crispy pork belly too! 😋

We have been recommended this place and got not disappointed. Getting seated on the lower levels gives you nice views into the green. As they were only few people only level 1 was open. The service was very kind and attentive. The food was really good and we felt that prices were more than fair. Enjoyed our stay at the oldest restaurant of Ubud and would recommend it.

Murni’s Warung is a true gem in Ubud; a place that blends history, hospitality, and exceptional food in a tranquil riverside setting. I first stopped in for lunch one afternoon and was so impressed by the quality and flavour of the food that I returned a few days later with a friend for dinner. In fact, I chose to have my final meal in Ubud and Bali, at Murni’s, which says everything about how much I enjoyed it. The food is easily some of the tastiest I had during my time in Bali. Each dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and prepared with care. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the high quality. The staff are attentive and genuinely welcoming, making the whole dining experience relaxed and enjoyable. The location is peaceful, tucked beside the river, offering a calm and scenic escape from the busier parts of town. Even the facilities are spotless; a small but meaningful detail that speaks to the care taken in every aspect of the restaurant. As the very first restaurant in Ubud, Murni’s Warung more than lives up to its legacy. It deserves every bit of recognition it gets and then some. If you're in Ubud, this is one place you absolutely must visit. You won’t be disappointed.

Really nice warung by the ridge. We had some beef rendang and duck these both came with rice. The juices were nice but were a bit too pulpy for me I had to ask the staff to strain one of these because I kept coughing with every sip. Overall though their food tasted amazing and the prices are fair also the view from the restaurant was beautiful. 🤩 The staff are helpful prompt and we really enjoyed our time at murni’s. We weren’t expecting much from the chocolate cake btw but it tasted nice and homemade in a good way and they spiked it with some rum which was nice 👌 I would come back to this place!

My husband and I have been in Bali for five days, and this is the first time we’ve felt inspired to sit down and write a review. The freshness of the ingredients here is outstanding! the spices are incredibly flavorful, and the traditional Balinese food was simply amazing. We shared three main dishes, and every single one was excellent. If you’re looking for an authentic local gastronomical experience, this place is a must!

Apparently, the first restaurant in Ubud. Amazing location on three levels and certainly the Indonesian food on the menu was excellent. I recommend the duck or the chicken. Wine by the glass choice was very limited. The waitresses seemed a bit tired and less friendly than most Balinese restaurants. But still worth a visit!

Murni’s Warung holds such a special place in my heart. It’s one of Ubud’s oldest and most authentic restaurants — located just a short walk from the Blanco Museum. The view of the river from the lower levels is peaceful and calming, and the atmosphere feels like stepping into a piece of Bali’s history. The food is delicious, freshly made, and full of home-cooked flavour — you can really taste the care in every dish. I loved that everything is made from scratch and without MSG. The staff are kind and the whole place carries a feeling of warmth and tradition.

What a great restaurant tucked away from the craziness of the high street in Ubud! High quality food and drinks, served with great attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. We sat at the bar which was great and the bartenders really looked after us 🍸 Don’t skip the lobster dumplings. Probably one of the best I ever had, really appreciated the generous ratio of lobster 🦞 The beef rendang was 🤌🏼 and I really enjoyed my grilled baby chicken. An explosion of flavour in all dishes, without being too spicy.

We had an outstanding experience at Hujan Locale. The local cuisine was exquisite, with fresh ingredients and every dish bursting with flavour, elevated by a touch of sophistication. It’s certainly not the cheapest restaurant in Ubud, but absolutely worth it. The staff were wonderfully welcoming and warm. The setting is charming, a typical local-style restaurant, yet with exceptional attention to detail and a beautifully maintained atmosphere. We tried the crispy chicken and pork batagor dumpling, the slow-cooked beef rendang, and the Acehnese chicken korma, all of which were utterly delicious. We wouldn’t hesitate to return!

I really wanted to like Hujan Locale, but honestly, it just didn’t live up to the hype. Or the price tag. For 330k, I was expecting something exceptional, something that justifies the upscale branding. Instead, what I got felt no different from what you’d find in a good local warung—except here, you’re paying triple for the same experience. The beef rendang, which should’ve been the highlight, was average at best. Flavor was fine, but not memorable. I’ve had rendang from tiny family-run spots that easily outshine this one in both taste and soul. Even the presentation lacked finesse. The ambiance was pleasant enough, but the service crossed into overbearing. The staff seemed to lose their minds over the fact that I had a bottle of energy drink with me—even though I wasn’t drinking it. The way they reacted was unnecessary and frankly insulting. For a restaurant that tries to present itself as refined, that kind of attitude felt petty and off-putting. Overall, Hujan Locale feels like a place coasting on reputation and aesthetics rather than substance. The food is decent, but if you actually care about flavor and value, you’ll find better—and more authentic—meals in the warungs down the street.

Hujan Locale is amazing. The venue is gorgeous and stepping in feels like you’re stepping into another era. The staff are professional and nice - delivering service with a smile. The food is fantastic - each meal providing a different range of flavours and textures. Each dish tastier than the next. Overall we have a GREAT experience and will return. It was on the pricier end of the spectrum but worth every cent - a nice treat!

We were recommended this place and it certainly did not disappoint! We came without a booking but were able to sit downstairs in the bar area and order all the food. The cocktails were great and the food was amazing. Some really interesting and unique flavours all round with too many dishes to recommend! Wish we had come another night to try some more.

We really enjoyed our time at Hujan. We chose the menu proposed and were absolutely not disappointed! Food was very tasty, some of classic Indonesian food but twisted in a very original way. Would definitely recommend it !

In our 2 stay last year and this year, this was the best restaurant we've found in Ubud and Bali in general. Welcoming staff. 🙏 Can be a bit pricey but not overpriced like other places where the food isn't good by the way. Here you'll have great food (at least if you try our recommandations).. 👍 Special mention for the beef rendang, the scallop (starter) and the dessert mango 🥭- coco 🥥 in granite style. Disappointed by the tuna (starter) though, which was lacking a bit of taste and some 'peps' . wish the tuna had come with a sauce similar to the one that came with the scallop... Also, people complaining in the comments are just people without any taste who enjoy Coca, Fries 🍟, and Burgers 🍔/ pizza 🍕 🤦

Not a bad spot, nice view of the volcano! The bread as pictured was amazing. Could have had a loaf for dinner. The duck was interesting. Very sweet almost candied. The sauce was even sweeter and to be honest I have had better. But also had worse… The staff was great, super friendly and attentive. The coffee latte was also on par.

Went for late lunch as a solo traveller and had a GREAT experience. Super good service, amazing view and delicious food. Snapper Curry was full of flavor and the Chocolate Mousse reminded me of the one they made at home. Recommended for a date night or nice lunch when in Ubud.

Dining at Indus Restaurant in Ubud was nothing short of perfect. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt enchanting – an elegant setting overlooking the lush green jungle valley, where the natural beauty of Ubud blends seamlessly with the refined interior design. The seafood in particular was remarkable – perfectly seasoned, tender, and infused with authentic spices that elevated the entire dining experience. The vegetarian options were equally impressive, showcasing the chef’s ability to cater to diverse preferences without compromising on taste or quality. Service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff were warm, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring that every detail was taken care of. Their professionalism added a personal touch, making me feel not just like a guest, but genuinely welcomed. Overall, Indus Restaurant exceeded all expectations. With its breathtaking views, superb cuisine, and flawless service, it is easily one of the best dining experiences in Ubud – a place I would return to without hesitation.

Indus delivery not just great food (and cocktails) but also a stunning view out over an impressive, deep and expansive tree-lined gully. I was there with a group of 20, which they were able to accommodate easily. (We had pre-ordered our meals though.) We also made good use of the 3 for 2 happy hour cocktail list. You have to go up and down 2 lots of large steps at the entrance, so access would be difficult if you're unstable on your feet.

My wife and I visited Indus last night and were treated to a menu which reflects both traditional Balinese cuisine as well as innovative and modern dishes bursting with freshness and flavour. Service was fantastic - attentive but not too invasive. Cocktails were amazing and our selection of dishes did not disappoint. The Balinese tapas was a great way to start our meal, a taste of local flavours to share, beautifully presented, fresh and tasty. The fish in banana leaves, a favourite from past visits, is back on the menu. Don't miss this one - the barramundi is juicy and tender and the spice mix is simply out of this world - your taste buds will love you for the experience!! The cauliflower fritters was also a stand out entree choice. And of course who could resist the famous lime tart to finish off a night of beautiful food under the full moon. We will be back. We'll done Indus.

View was amazing, from the front you don’t suspect how beautiful it is inside. Food was delicious and so were all the cocktails, we went for happy hour and the price was great. All the staff were so lovely and service was good the whole time even when they were really busy.

TLDR: Good service, comfortable atmosphere, great drinks, food was okay for meat eaters, but disappointing if you are veggie/gf We came here for dinner tonight and had a mixed experience. I’ll start with the positive, the service: as you’d expect in Bali it was warm, friendly and very attentive. The space itself was clean, comfortable and well looked after too. The drinks we had were excellent as well, and the 2-4-1 happy hour is great value. The food was a mixed bag and didn’t blow us away. My partner is vegetarian and gluten free, and she ordered the roasted beetroot for her main. When the plate arrived it was quite bare - 90% beetroot with a few greens and cubes of cheese doused in vinegar. There wasn’t anything else to it like a filling base of mash/rice/greens to justify listing this as a “main” in the menu - maybe this one’s on us for not looking at the menu detailedly enough, but if something is listed as a main I expect it to be more filling. As a side or starter, it would’ve been okay. I had the ribs which were very flavourful, but laid on top of a papaya salad which had too much vinegar for my liking. The tres leches for dessert was good. Again, top stars to the staff for noticing my partner wasn’t wild on the beetroot and offering to remove it from the bill. The surprise amouse bouches were great too. I would come back if they expanded their gluten free offerings!

Everything about Copper was truly outstanding. We had the pumpkin soup, pork ribs, and duck — each dish was exceptional. The pumpkin soup, in particular, was soulful and comforting, perfect for a cool, rainy evening. The focaccia they served was absolutely divine. Every dish was a five-star experience, made even better by the warm and genuine hospitality of the staff. Amazing from every angle.

The restaurant is beautifully designed, and the staff is very professional and friendly. However, we had much higher expectations for the food. We started with welcome cocktails and a small bite, which was a very nice touch and tasted good. Our mocktails were also enjoyable. For a starter, we ordered the jumbo shrimp – it looked great on the plate, but serving just one shrimp (where 70% of it is shell and head) was definitely not a good idea- anyway the sauces used in this dish were excellent and gave it an amazing flavor. Next came the chicken breast sous vide – it was simply fine. The portion was small (as expected for this type of restaurant), but the grey sauce was not good, while the vegetables were perfectly julienned and delicious – though again, there was very little of them. The ribs were just average, and unfortunately, they didn’t fall off the bone as they should have. The vegetables they were served on were far too vinegary. The potato purée, on the other hand, was tasty and served in a generous portion. The salad we ordered to go with the starter was also just okay Overall, a pleasant experience with excellent service and a few dishes that really stood out, though there is still room for improvement when it comes to balance and portions.

My wife and I visited for the special romantic dinner during our honeymoon. We were given a table surrounded by flowers in the shape of a heart, in a secluded offshoot of the main restaurant which we had all to ourselves. We were treated like total VIPs as we were served a multi-course set meal (with much flexibility for substitutions) and wine pairing. The main restaurant is already beautiful, but we were treated in such a way that the other patrons must have been wondering who we were. The food was delicious. The presentation beautiful. Atmosphere out of this world. The staff take a lot of pride in their work here, and it is a very special place. I'm told that they grow all of their own vegetables on-site, and prepare basically all food and components from scratch. It really shows. Ria in particular was a joy to talk to and took super great care of us. My only regret is that we did not reserve a room here when we were setting up our honeymoon, but we certainly will if we're ever back in town. The VIP romantic dinner (here in particular) is a once in a lifetime experience. Don't pass it up.

This was the best meal we’ve had in Bali. We walked over two miles to get to this pace and it was well worth it. We got the prawns, tofu, wagyu and the ribs. All were 12/10. The cocktails were delicious as well and they give you a nice hold towel when you come in to cool you off they also gave us a couple lemongrass shots and bread with pumpkin spread. Very nice servers, would happily go back!

So I ordered the ribs and when they came to the table oh my gosh they were so tough I can barely bite it nevertheless chew it. The manager came over and offered me something else. I requested the sirlion medium rare. That tasted buttery melt in your mouth it was a Prime Sirloin. Now here's my problem I've been on the toilet for 6 hours I didn't even finish the steak only because I had eaten all the vegetables and salad and bread however at this point I'm not even going to finish it. I waited 8 months to go to this restaurant I'm highly disappointed I did give it two stars because the vegetables and the drinks were good but they're ribs were tough add mashed potatoes for cold and the fact that I've been in the bathroom for 6 hours is why I'm leaving this review actually over 6 hours and I had the dinner around 6:30 pm yesterday.

Amazing from start to finish, from welcome to goodbyes. Staff was attentive and smiling all the time, great service. Food was the best western food we had in Bali this vacation.

This is insane. We got here by accident, after waiting at another place too long for the waiter to take our order, at lunch. There was no waiting line at this time and we got at a small cozy table in this marvelous place. The troubles started when the food came, because we almost fought over the lunch. Yes, it was that good! It felt like we could taste the chef's love put in preparing the dishes. This place is a must for everybody visiting Bali, no question about it. Thank you for this divine experience!

We had such a wonderful experience at Sun Sun Warung! The food was incredibly delicious — every dish was full of flavor and clearly made with love and fresh ingredients. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, always smiling and making sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is really lovely too – cozy, relaxed, and with a beautiful Balinese touch that makes you feel right at home. We had to wait around 15 minutes for a table because the restaurant was quite busy, but it was absolutely worth it. If you don’t like waiting, I’d recommend making a reservation in advance. The prices are unbelievably good for the quality you get – honestly, the food could easily cost much more. Overall, we couldn’t have been happier. Great food, wonderful people, and a beautiful place – a must-visit in Bali!

Highly recommended. Best food we had in Bali at really affordable prices. The ambience is the place is exactly what you would imagine Bali to be. I had the Nasi campur and loved the fact that it had a little bite of everything! My husband had the duck with bbq sauce and he literally wanted to lick the plate. This place is awesome.

The food was okay — for my taste, it wasn’t bad but not particularly delicious either. My boyfriend actually quite liked it. Two of the dishes came out a bit cold, and I personally prefer my food to be hot. The crispy duck with rice was served hot though.

Sun Sun exceeded my expectations! The grilled duck was juicy with perfectly crisp skin, and the coconut pancakes were heavenly. Friendly service and a relaxed vibe. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing place to eat in Bali – a true gem! We loved Sun Sun Warung so much, we came back multiple times because it was just that amazing the entire experience! The food was absolutely delicious every single time, fresh, flavorful, and made with love. The place is beautiful and traditional, with that authentic Balinese charm. 🫶🏼 The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming you with that big smile and the prices are unbelievably low for the quality you get. After discovering Sun Sun, we compared every other restaurant in Bali to it… and few places came close. If you're in Ubud, do not miss this place. We loved this restaurant, we came back two nights in a row. The atmosphere is very nice with dim lighting. The service was very good and everyone was kind. I loved everything that we got to eat there. The drinks are unique and super yummy. The hummus is absolutely delicious as well as the poke bowl and the creme brûlée. Highly recommed.

A very nice, calm place with good vibes✨ The backyard is very convenient for working. Service is fast, and the food is delicious. The brekky burrito was delicious, but the portion could have been a bit larger. The pink berry smoothie bowl was delicious.

Food here was really good, lucky enough to live a walking distance here. Came here once for breakfast and lunch. Ambience is great, it's convenient but has a quiet interior and all outdoor seating, you can work here although the wifi might be a bit slow. Great place for journaling and doing art. Pastry here is fresh and food is great quality ingredients. Prices are reasonable too and staff are friendly. So glad I can get my coffee and pastry at 7am! Tempeh bowl for lunch was just right - tempeh was marinated well and veggies were crunchy and fresh.

We had such a delicious breakfast at this cozy little café! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with beautiful decor and relaxing music in the background. This restaurant was so delicious we went two nights in a row! The staff were very attentive and kind, and the food was amazing!! I got the steak frites, and that was the best steak I’ve ever had. The drinks were also very tasty, and the overall atmosphere was very nice. The hummus was also amazing!!

Seriously the best restaurant I ate at in Bali. We stayed at Dinara Hotel and they included breakfast from Melali. You can order a healthy and delicious breakfast with choice of coffee or tea and fruit juices. Everything was fresh and rivals the best brunches I have had in L.A.

This place was a pleasant surprise! I was one of the first to enter around 12:00pm. The weather wasn’t great but that didn’t stop the amazing service that I received. Staff was 10/10. Sun lounger was 150,000 rupiahs. It came with pool towel and welcome drink. This place is truly a hidden gem located in a busy area near the Monkey Forest. If you want time to relax at the pool this is the place to be. I really liked that they had a swim up bar. Also on the other side of the pool near the sun loungers they had stools & tables in the pool. I spent most of my time on the pool float. Every day club needs one of these! Highly recommend this place!

We came for the happy hour cocktails and had ravioli and it was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely we were sat playing cards tipsy. I highly recommend I wish I had had time to go back again!!

My 12yo and I were spending a day in Ubud, so I Googled places to swim and found Folk. For $5 you get a towel and access to the pool. This is a special venue. The food is cheap and so fresh - it’s a blessing to be able to swim, grab a cheap and tasty meal, and beer in a beautiful garden. (There is no need to pay for a pergola, the seating is comfortable and naturally shaded).

An amazing place, seemingly out of a dream. We stumbled on it by chance and felt immediately welcome by Made (the manager). The food and drinks were all delicious, and the service was both extremely nice and impressively professional (shoutout to Nadya!). We didn't have our swim suits so we came back the night after and had another great time at the swim up pool bar, entertained by the barman Suar (aka "The Machine"). We wish we could bring the whole place back home! Definitely a must-go.

This restaurant comes with a pool and served outdoor cinema in the night without minimum payment. Outdoor cinema is not always there every night, you need to check their instagram or website for the schedule. Unfortunately, there's a live music bar located in front of this restaurant which music is disturbing the movie. But i guess there's nothing they can do about that. Hope they can have more seating with better chair in front of the screen.

We loved this place so much we went back numerous times during our stay. And I tend to be picky. I imagine though if it was busy, it might be a different experience. Folk is an awesome oasis in the middle of Ubud. This was my experience. It has really good, interesting food, very attentive and friendly service and a lovely pool area with much more interesting cabanas than most of the beach clubs elsewhere. The ONLY downside is the cocktails. They're a bit too uniform, they need some layering of the elements to give them a little more interest. The bar has a few seats in the pool so you can swim up to the bar and sit in the pool. The small tapas that you get free when you pay for entry is really very delicious. All the food was delicious... And interesting. We were consistently impressed with everything we tried.

Plant Bistro is the best plant-based restaurant in Bali. The food is exceptional. So full of flavour and beautifully presented. The restaurant is calm and cosy surrounded by nature The staff members are so warm and lovely.  I highly recommend. You will definitely come back more than once.

This place is AMAZING!!! Wow. I decided to try the tuna tartare for a starter, even though I’m very sceptical about vegan fish. I’ve never had a super realistic vegan fish, but I used to love tartare so decided to try it. It has absolutely blown my mind… this truly tastes just like raw tuna!! And it’s made from watermelon!! I know how crazy it sounds but you MUST try it. We also got the veal starter which was amazing😋. For mains we got the pollo and tenderloin- the texture of the steak wasn’t realistic to be honest, but it was still good, and the dish as a whole was fabulous. The pollo dish was nice! Finally we got macarons and tiramisu. Delicious! Overall I rate this place a 10/10 and will return to try more items from the huge menu. The menu is original with options for people who like faux meat or just vegetables. The waiters were lovely and efficient and the decor is incredibly beautiful. A couple at the table next to us were telling the waiter that they’re not vegan and couldn’t believe how delicious vegan food could be. Try this restaurant whether you’re vegan or eat meat!🩷

Cannot fault this place. Plant Bistro is an absolute standout! The ambience, the staff and the food all come together so well. We come back every time we’re in Bali and usually end up here daily because the menu is that good. Brekky, lunch and dinner are all consistently delicious, with plenty of sweet and savoury choices. It’s also a great spot to eat, read, check your emails or catch up with friends. Everything about this place is 10/10, easily the best vegan restaurant we’ve dined at so far. Prices are on the higher side compared to a warung but it’s still worth visiting at least once to experience how good the vegan food is. It’s honestly exceptional and the staff and decor match that too, so friendly and such a picturesque environment to enjoy world class vegan food.

We just found this place while trying to escape from the busier Ubud center, and we absolutely loved everything about it. We only had some snacks, some drinks, a pistachio croissant for me, and a doughnut for my partner and everything was amazing. The space feels sacred, calm, refreshing, and so beautiful compared to the chaos of Ubud. We were also amazed by all the thoughtful details in the restaurant. The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and attentive. A true hidden gem!

We loved the gelato here and the interiors were stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed the view and the vibe of the place. We took our time with the gelato and fizzy water just chatting the day away and taking in the beauty of the plants 🌱 and insects 🐜 would totally recommend this place to anyone who happens to be in the area also worth a detour if you’re looking for plant based food with great views and interiors

One of my favourite places in Ubud. The vegan smoked salmon is incredible. I get that each time I go! This time I also tried the pumpkin gnocchi and it was so delicious. I’ve loved everything I’ve had there. Such a beautiful space, too!

I’ve been here a few times and the food is NEXT LEVEL!! Their plant based food is so creative, delicious and beautifully presented. Some of my favorites— the pesto lasagna, plant toona and avocado sushi roll and the almond croissant. Definitely recommend for high end plant based food. Only suggestion we have for the restaurant is to change the music. They like to play the same trendy pop crap playlist that you hear around town and it could be so much more vibey and more enjoyable if the music was better. The restaurant atmosphere and the jungle view is so beautiful.. it deserves good music :) but highly highly recommend this place!! It’s a must visit. The staff are really lovely also! 💗

We had the most beautiful lunch at Ely's kitchen on our first day in Ubud. The interior is open and green with a lovely courtyard in the back that seems to be associated with the hotel. The food was amazing all round - flavors, textures, presentation and variety. My friend and I had grilled burrundi (cooked perfectly) with a coconut rice roll and a small crunchy salad with so much flavor and a bit of heat. We started with Vietnamese spring rolls in rice paper served with a beautiful tamarind sauce. Much more variety in the rolls and such an explosion of flavor! We also had a small portion of BBQ chicken wings that were delicious. We also were served a bowl of sweet potato chips to snack on while waiting. They were also delicious! Drinks were an arak colada and an arak passion fruit. Wonderful and fruity. The service was friendly and prompt. We were served in part by a young man named Njurah who went out of his way to check on us see we had everything we needed! There are so many lovely restaurants in Ubud to choose from, and I am sure we will try Ely's again.

Elya’s place was recommended on Trip Advisor and it did not disappoint. The food was beautiful, had the best dessert I have ever had and listened to a young man play some brilliant music. Ulan served us, only her first week in the job and you was a credit to the restaurant. Highly recommend *****

This was our first visit, and wow — the staff is incredible! The food is amazing, everything tastes so fresh. Generous portions, great prices, and our server Oka went above and beyond. Highly recommend this place to everyone! They have so many options — vegetarian, seafood, and beef dishes. You’ll definitely leave happy and satisfied!

We had a wonderful evening! The food was fantastic and the cultural night made it even more special — such a lovely atmosphere and a great way to experience Balinese culture. Highly recommend Elys Kitchen! The food, service and vibes were amazing. We ordered the chicken curry, nasi goreng and mie goreng. The mie goreng was the star of the show!! Our server, Desak, was so nice and very attentive! Overall everyone was so warm and welcoming! I will definitely be visiting again!

Healthy and Relaxing Spot in Ubud Great poke bowl — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The ABC juice was a bit earthier than usual but still refreshing. Lovely ambiance in a quiet, charming part of Ubud. Perfect place to unwind and enjoy a healthy meal surrounded by calm vibes.

I came to this place attracted by the name “Herb Library,” expecting a healthy, vegetarian restaurant. Surprisingly, they also serve fish and meat. I ordered the moringa soup and green salad – both portions were small, but the taste was fine. A bit salty for me. Service was good, and they offered free cucumber- and lemon-infused water. However, note that they add 21% to the bill, which is higher than most other restaurants. There are many better options around, but it could be nice for families.

i got the nourish salad bowl which was really nice! also the super green juice which was great. the service was great & the atmosphere is really nice & calm. i would definitely return to try some other things on the menu.

This was a WONDERFUL dinner experience. The restaurant is located in a side street next to Ubud's main street, so it is much more quiet. We were attracted by the live music and stayed for dinner. The food was delicious. I tried the tofu gyozas, the Ubudian rice and the banana dessert and they were just perfect. The vibe is amazing, real holiday feeling and the singer ans guitarist made it magical. Our waiter Sugi was super kind and attentive, very friendly and his recommendations were spot on. Honestly, I cannot think of a better place to have a wonderful evening.

I am a room guest from the hotel and the breakfast is included from here. The food is so great...The stuff is so friendly treating you like friends..The vibe is so peaceful in the morning after I did my yoga class.... I was ready to leave and give 5 stars.... Then I received a birthday cake from the stuff T___T You know what ? Most of the solo travllers come to Ubud with their life issues. It made me feel so loved and blessed. Thank you for being so kind to someone you may only meet once in life. I was crying like a baby for half hour after returned room😂✨

Disappointed with the food quality and freshness! Within 2 minutes of placing our order, the fried fish, fried shrimp, and all vegetables arrived at our table. All at room temperature! Not a lot of flavor. Seafood was fried hours before serving. Not fresh! 20 minutes later they served us the hot and fresh Gurame Menari fish. When we go to a seafood restaurant that charges these prices, we expect fresh and hot food. This place didn’t do that unfortunately! On a positive note, the restaurant is beautiful and service was good.

Upon arrival, greeted by a waitress for two of us. It's pleasant at first, but when I request for a private table by the side of the water, she told me there's a min charge of 600k which is fine to me. I ask her for the menu to see if 2 person can order more than 600k but her looks is like looking down on us that we cannot afford one after I ask for the menu to see first. Anyway, after looking at the menu, I feel the price is quite affordable and hard to achieve 600k unless I order crabs. I proceeded to ask for the table by the water and try order crabs but was told the crab I like is spicy. So I ordered two type of prawns and a dish of clams. The salted egg prawns is a total letdown. Tasteless and not that fresh. However, the garlic steam prawn and the clams are pretty good. The place is really nice and the table by the water is really, really good. Food is very affordable here too.

Came from Sanur to eat here, previously been twice. Make sure you book if you require a small bale. Think there a minimum spend of 600k. Food was very reasonable price and the set menu is plentiful, however please note if they say it’s spicy it is very spicy so be aware. We can eat food Thai spicy and their version of spicy is quite hot. Good time , use the mozzy repellant in the table on your legs and ankles , there a bamboo near the edge of the bale , ise it knock on it to call the waiter / waitress otherwise you’ll be waiting for a while. Can also smoke there ….

I had an amazing dining experience at Bale Udang! The food was delicious, fresh, and full of authentic Balinese flavors. The atmosphere was so relaxing with beautiful surroundings — it felt like a peaceful escape. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Bali!

Came here Oct ‘25— Food is okok, very overpriced ; lobster ~500g is SGD$80 ish; so it’s like a Jumbo Seafood kinda price for this place in bali. Customer service is non-existent. But halal restaurant options are so extremely limited in Bali that ppl might still come here . It’s a pretty place, nice ambience but food wise — quality quantity and taste : nope nope nope. Just skip it

The food was really delicious and overall satisfying for a group dinner. There is ikan bakar, cumi masak salted egg, various vegetables, the honey glazed udang and many more. Awesome halal restaurant! They have musholla too.

The dining experience here is thoughtfully curated and quite unique. It begins in a cozy lounge area where you’re served an amuse-bouche along with a welcome drink—this is a nice touch and helps set a relaxed tone for the evening. After that, you’re led into the indoor dining room for a series of starters, and later moved again to a beautiful garden space where the main courses are served. The transition between spaces makes the meal feel like a journey, and the presentation of each dish is elegant and clearly well considered. While the ambiance and service were both top-notch—the staff were attentive, professional, and warm—I personally found the food to be just decent. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it didn’t really impress me or live up to the high expectations that come with the price. The flavors were clean and refined, but lacked that extra “wow” factor that I was hoping for from a fine dining experience. One thing that stood out (in a less positive way) was the pacing of the meal. After finishing each dish, I found myself waiting about 15 minutes for the next one to arrive. I understand that dishes are freshly prepared and timing is important for presentation and quality, but the gaps between courses felt a bit too long and slightly disrupted the flow of the meal. All in all, it’s a lovely venue with great service and a creative dining concept, but for me, the food didn’t quite justify the overall price and time commitment. Seasonal Menu: 8 course meal 1,700,000, excluding beverages. Additional 20% tax not included.

Had the 8 course, seasonal menu. With wine pairing. The pairing was good and I loved most of the dishes. The desserts were not great, in my opinion. Also 2 desserts out of 8 courses seemed too much, but I'm also more of a fan of savory vs sweet. The pace was good, didn't feel like I was waiting eagerly on the next course. I could have skipped the "while we wait" cocktail. Only had 2 sips, so a waste.

I rarely write Google reviews, but this time I felt I had to share so others don’t have the same disappointing experience I did. I brought my mom here for her birthday during our trip to Bali, hoping for a memorable fine dining evening after seeing so many positive reviews. Unfortunately, the reality was far from what we expected. The food was underwhelming, most dishes lacked flavor, and even the signature main course, the duck, had an unpleasant smell that made it hard to enjoy. On top of that, each course took so long to arrive that we were struggling to stay awake between dishes. What surprised me most was the service. I don’t know why, but out of all the places we’ve dined in Bali, the staff here provided the poorest customer care, even though this was also the most expensive restaurant we’ve been to on this trip. The staff seemed tired and disengaged, as if they just wanted to finish their shift. They didn’t make us feel welcomed or cared for throughout the evening. For a birthday dinner, there was no effort to make it feel special; even offering to take a simple photo for us never happened. I truly regret choosing this place for such an important occasion. For the price and service charge, I had expected much more. I hope this review serves as a consideration for others who are thinking of dining here.

An absolute must for all fine dining lovers. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the service was excellent. We started the night inside the main building and were later transferred to the backyard, which is surrounded by bushes and trees with the grill located in the middle. The food was delicious and very creatively arranged on the plate. For one plate, the head chef served us the dish and added the final touches at our table.

Casa Luna – A True Taste of Ubud An authentic Balinese restaurant nestled in the heart of Ubud’s central street. Casa Luna feels genuine and full of character, with traditional décor and warm Bali vibes that make it a charming and relaxing stop — just steps away from Ubud Palace and the Water Palace. The staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, dressed in traditional Balinese attire that adds to the cultural experience. The food is delicious and well-prepared. I especially enjoyed the chicken satay, which stood out as my favorite. The pasta and fish & chips were also surprisingly good — a nice fusion for every palate. I travelled all the way from London and this little gem in Bali made the journey even sweeter! The carrot cake was moist and topped with the creamiest frosting — honestly one of the best my wife had. The vanilla cake was beautifully light yet rich in flavor, and the lemon meringue was a showstopper: zesty, refreshing, and balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. On top of the delicious desserts, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were so warm, welcoming, and attentive, making me feel right at home. You can tell they truly care about their guests’ experience. If you’re in Bali and love desserts, this place is an absolute must-visit.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Casa Luna in Ubud is absolutely beautiful. The food is amazing — full of flavour and so fresh. The whole place has a peaceful Buddha vibe that I loved, and even the toilets were spotless. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the service was great both times I visited. I’ve come here twice during my stay in Ubud and would happily come back again. Highly recommend. 💛✨

Amazing place, they also own honeymoon bakery and hotel close by: - sourdough (best sourdough ever) I also bake bread but their bread was too good. Tried their pulled pork eggs Benedict with sourdough and it was brilliant - they have Balinese cooking classes which should be booked 1 day prior - didn’t try but wish I had known earlier - croissants are fresh , flaky and buttery

We went there - although the reviews were not so "high" for Bali standards - because it started raining. We made a very good choice, the food was very good and the atmosphere also. I would recommend to go downstairs where is more quiet and the place is like a 60s restaurant. We recommend it.

I'd give it 10 stars. Our favorite place in Bali. We went here 5 out of the 7 days we were in Ubud. The coffee and desserts are delicious. The staff are so sweet and friendly. The place is big and spacious, so you can comfortably sit and chat. The interior is lovely. It's not exactly in the city center, but it's an easy walk. One evening, when we wanted tea, they offered us a lemongrass mixed brew, and we loved it! Nothing we ate was disappointing. They use bottled water, which is safe and clean. Definitely go and try it! 💞

I've been to dinner in this restaurant during my stay in Ubud. Initially I was given a table near the street, but the noise and smog from the constant traffic jam made the dinner unpleasant: fortunately, on my request, they moved me to an inner room, which was very cosy. The food was very good, even though they don't have a traditional Balinese cousine, but rather European. Prices are above average for Bali but still very low compared to western standards.

I’ve been to this bistro before and came back and the food is still just as amazing if not even better 🤩 we loved the ambience, the music the food to the staff everything was absolutely spot on perfect 👌 honestly a must visit when in ubud!!! There’s seating outdoors and indoors; also tables mostly for 2-4 but if you’re a big group they also have a nice corner spot you can book… Kebun offers 15% off your bill on Mondays :-) check it out (as of Oct 2025)

I found Kebun on Google maps and it had good reviews and in walking distance from my stay. The atmosphere was perfect. The olives, were expensive but worth it, they were so tasty! I had the Ollie burger for dinner, and it was one of best burgers. My first burger in 2 months of traveling Asia and it was perfect :) The staff was friendly, attentive, and they were playful and happy with each other too and that was nice to witness.

Excellent restaurant, the atmosphere is really cosy and it feels like you are all alone even though the restaurant is full. The waitresses are really nice and professional. There is a large range of food options and everything we had the opportunity to taste was truly amazing. We found back some tastes we haven’t eaten for a while. If you’re not sure about coming here, just come you won’t regret it 🤩🤤

The food is delicious but not surprising, I recommend the truffle crispy fries, it was juicy and crispy at the same time, absolutely amazing. My son and I had the lamb chops and the chicken breast, the lamb chops were not their best item I can tell, the chicken breast was better. The drinks were delicious, you must try a cocktail (hey, you’re in Bali!) What I wanted to write about is the staff there, I had lost my raincoat on the taxi there and only found out an hour after I’ve been at the restaurant, and I tried to call grab but the voice mail was in Indonesian which I don’t speak, so I had to sought out help from the staff, and they all provided support with the most kindness. The driver was also amazing for sending me back my raincoat. The atmosphere was nice, definitely a place you should visit if you’re in the area.

On top of the cozy ambience from this place, the staff were also so friendly to me. They were even willing to have small talks with me during our short break on site. They treated me — a local — just as nice as they would a foreigner. You made my day. Your service is highly appreciated! Keep up the good work!

Amazing restaurant! We came here multiple times during our stay and everything we had was superb. The staff are so lovely, the music is great, and the ambience is perfect. Good air conditioning too. The chefs are incredible. We even had their ice cream and it was fantastic. Couldn’t recommend it here enough.

This place turned out to be the best of the lot during our stay in Ubud for 4 days. Food served is fresh ,neat and tasty. The price is lesser compared to all others around. The jewel in the crown is the live music & beautiful decoration.

came here on a whim, but it ended up being one of the better pork ribs that i’ve had in Ubud. i was lucky to get a seat facing the street, so it was nice to get to watch the world go by while i had my dinner. presentation is lovely, flavours are great and the ribs were cooked perfectly - fell off the bone, tender and tasty.

The most flavourful Nasi Gorangni I have ever had. You have not eaten Nasi Gorang until you have tried it in this restaurant. Loved it and will go again and again. Try the fish menu as well, full of amora and flavourful, unreal fish dish 😋 . Live acoustic music was too good 🎸.

I don’t even know where to start. I miss this place every single day. Moksa is a peaceful little cafe tucked away in Ubud, surrounded by nature and a quiet stream. I ended up going there every day during my stay and it always felt calm and grounding. The coconut coffee was the best I’ve ever had. The food is all plant-based and so flavourful that you don’t miss anything. Everything tasted fresh and nourishing. The staff were so polite and warm, always smiling and making you feel at home. Honestly, no words feel enough to explain the peace I felt just being there. If you are in Ubud, please go. And go with time. You’ll want to sit, sip, and just breathe.

I am right now in Moksa Ubud, it’s raining and the atmosphere and views to the gardens is even more beautiful. Yanik is the beautiful waitress who is supporting me and she is absolutely kind and patient and amazing. The food is the best I had in my 10 days in Ubud. And the deserts are so nhami. You can’t miss this place if you are in Ubud. It’s a plant based Restaurant and all the dishes looks delicious.

I went here multiple times on my trip; the staff are so friendly and kind and the menu is impressive. Great mix of raw and heated food to suit everyone, and all the food is creative and thought out with Balinese and western dishes. The desserts are also standout. Even the peppermint tea was one of the best I’ve ever had! Highly recommend to vegan and non vegans to try. 🥰 featured: lasagne, coconut and strawberry pancakes, and jackfruit Caesar salad. Only thing to note would be that if you want to see the rice fields, go in the daytime as it is dimly lit and cosy at night.

By the end of this journey, I will have completed 10 days with Chef Made, and if I had more time in Ubud, I would dive even deeper without hesitation. A friend recommended MOKSA to me. I wasn’t disappointed. I enjoyed a late afternoon lunch overlooking the garden. It was a peaceful break from the bustle of Ubud. The food was delicious. The mushroom soup surprisingly good even on a hot day. The coconut crepes with berry sorbet to die for. MOKSA gets busy so make a reservation. You won’t be disappointed.

Holy moly, honestly the best dining experience we had in almost 3 weeks travelling in Bali! Amazing indonesian food in a beautiful family run warung. Sit upstairs overlooking the rice paddies, a little oasis. We came here every night during a 6 night stay at a nearby resort (it was way better than anything there!) and got it delivered when our toddler fell asleep early. Kadek and his staff were so lovely, and they offer a free shuttle to pick up or drop off. They had a full vegan menu and the best vegan nasi campur in Bali! Will be dreaming about Warung Legong for a while!

When my wife and I are in Bali, living near by we always make it a point to come to Warong Legong at least a couple times. It’s one of our favorite spots near Klungkung. The staff are warm and welcoming, the food is consistently good, and the atmosphere captures the true Bali vibe. What really makes it special is the view of the rice fields—it’s the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal. A great place to enjoy authentic flavors and soak in the local charm.

Here’s a pro tip: We didn’t use our entire prepaid amount, so we gave the difference as a tip to the incredible staff. They were so grateful, and honestly, they deserved every bit of it for the exceptional service. I highly encourage everyone to do the same if you find yourself in this situation – these hardworking people truly make your experience unforgettable. Beautiful day in the jungle and rice fields, massive big infinity pool surrounded by sundeck chairs, bar and lounges but the food has unfortunately a big let down! Music just ok during the day.

For those who like nature vibes and chilling, this is a great spot. We got the day pass and it was worth it. The pool and its view are amazing. Their food is excellent as well. We also went to The Edge, but I prefer Jungle Fish' food and vibe. Great job to their whole team as we had a highly memorable experience.

This was an exquisite experience. The team were all delightful and we enjoyed seeing the plants they grow on site and the recycling initiatives before settling down to the first tasting area. The thought that has gone into each of the tiny and beautiful morsels is amazing - local ingredients with unusual combinations of flavours and each dish explained by one of the members of the team. The evening progresses through three zones of the restaurant each with their unique atmosphere for each phase of the tasting menu.

This was a luxurious dessert experience. So refined, memorable and far exceeding expectations. You wouldn't expect it from the name, but the service and presentation felt world class. Absolutely worth the price per person. The beverage pairings were thoughtful and creative, sometimes unexpected but always harmonious with the flavours. Each course was beautifully presented and expertly crafted. A word of advice: arrive hungry! The portions are generous and surprisingly filling. We couldn’t finish everything on the spot, but the team kindly packed up the rest and we got to enjoy it again the next day. 10/10.

I loved the transition between stations, especially the dessert room and the final station that felt like a cosy campfire with marshmallows. Such a unique touch! The staff were incredibly helpful, and the manager spoke excellent English, which made the dish explanations so much clearer and added to the experience. They even sang a birthday song for me at the last station, a sweet surprise that made the night feel extra special. Even though the portions aren’t huge, 15 courses is very filling, so it’s best to come with an empty stomach or have an early lunch. They also offer gluten-free and pescetarian menus, just let them know your dietary preferences. We booked the 6pm slot, and it was perfect — quiet, intimate, and we were the first guests of the evening. It felt like a personal dining experience. We went to Rooms4Dessert with high expectations because it’s famous worldwide. We took the dessert tasting menu with cocktail pairing. Out of 5 desserts, only 1 was really good. The others were okay or disappointing. Probably because the chef wasn’t there that night. The vibe, service, and idea of the place are great though. One big problem: the exhaust system is bad. When we left, we smelled like smoked pork the whole night. I might come back only if I know the chef is cooking, but that’s hard to plan. Overall: nice place, but the desserts need to be more consistent and please fix the smoke smell!

I came to R4D by myself and it was such a nice experience from the very first moment I got greeted. Rhys and the rest of the team were so welcoming, you can really see how much training they have done because everything felt so smooth. From the garden to the entrance, every little detail was thought through. I started with the spiritless tasting menu and it was nothing short of amazing. You could tell how much the team, from the bartenders to the cooks to the servers, really loved what they were doing. I mean I can’t say much else for the price. Expensive by Bali standards, but the normal price of food from the countries tourists usually come from. Came here as a birthday treat, and was given impeccable service as well as a complimentary dessert from the kindness of the staff. All this in addition to being hosted at the lavish resort that is Viceroy. The Ox tail soup is great if you know how to eat from a vertebrae, and pizza was better than expected. Very impressed.

By far our best dining experience while staying in the Ubud area and would return! We arrived before sunset, which was a great time to watch the light transition while seated to look out over the rice field. As it turned to evening, fireflies came out and lit up the field - magical! We coincidentally had come on a Wednesday and got to take in the performance, which put our experience over the top. All of the dishes we ordered were amazing and plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. Some of the best cuisine we’ve eaten in Bali. We were celebrating a special occasion and the servers were so kind and attentive, the whole evening felt very memorable.

While staying at Gdas Health and Wellness Resort, my wife and I took the short and lovely stroll over to Sacred Rice Restaurant. From the moment we were greeted outside the restaurant and saw the location, we knew we were in for a treat. We were on our honeymoon and the dinner we had was nice and romantic. We ordered the set menu, which can be modified due to dietary restrictions. Everything was delicious and the servings were generous but not overwhelming. Fabulous food and fabulous service in a tranquil setting with friendly and attentive staff! We ordered the 5 course degustation menu with matching cocktails and I couldn’t have been happier with my meal! The prawn entree was a standout favourite as the king prawns were super fresh, and cooked to perfection, and the accompanying sambal source was probably the best thing I’ve eaten since I have been here! Accompanying cocktails were also amazing and perfectly paired with the dishes. The cucumber martini and apple sour were particularly memorable. Pro tip: if leaving by taxi plan to get their their early or walk if it’s convenient- we waited 30min for a taxi to arrive and it took an hour and 15min travel 4km - which we could have easily walked! But once you get to the restaurant all that is easily forgotten, as the food and service are so good, that any worries of the work easily slip away!

The road is narrow, but you can drive in. One or two cars can be parked at the door. We went for dinner at about 7pm. There were four or five groups of guests. The wait for the food was a bit long, about half an hour before the food came out. We ordered Indonesian fried noodles, which tasted good. The mushroom soup was also good.

Restaurant with an upmarket vibe located adjacent to a large rice field in Ubud. They have very nice breakfast, cooked very freshly and 100% delicious. However their service is a bit slow, likely because they seem to have just one chef who is kept busy. The walk to the restaurant was interesting; we got to walk on a winding pathway through rice fields to get to it. One of the impressive items we sampled is a home made jam using local fruit. We did the private cookery class which started with a tour of the local market and restaurant garden to see the spices and vegetables we would be using in our cooking. After a delicious breakfast and coffee (with fantastic coffee art!) we set to work chopping and preparing a fabulous three course meal which we were able to enjoy in the peaceful garden of the restaurant. We learnt a lot about common ingredients and cooking methods used in Balinese cooking and prepared a feast. Our guide and chef were so friendly and nice and guided us through the preparation well. All the ingredients were so fresh and the whole thing was a lot of fun. We highly recommend this experience and we will leave with full stomachs and lots of inspiration for cooking when we return home. Don’t hesitate, give it a go!

We did the private cooking class experience Ayuk and Sumitri. It was great! We started out at the market where we learned about all the local fruits and vegetables. Then we came back, relaxed with coffee and fruits, and then began our cooking class. We prepared three delicious courses and had an overall wonderful experience. They were also able to easily accommodate me being gluten free which was appreciated.

We stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant and bar, as it was a close walk from our hotel. They were offering happy hour - buy two cocktails, get the third free. This is what initially brought us in. However, the friendly staff- especially our server, Arik made us feel right at home and we decided to stay for dinner! Dinner was outstanding and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend this place for food and drinks! Reasonable priced and the view cannot be beat!!

Oh my! The matchacolada is the dreamiest cocktail ever. Unsure how they do what they do but it was a party in my mouth. We came for pre dinner cocktails and loved the view out over the property and beyond. A stunning building full of charm and well managed. It’s got it all from fragrances in the bathrooms, to climate controlled wine cellar, home vegetables for cooking classes and farm to table. Awesome friendly staff. Very talented. We loved our cocktails and will recommend to anyone. If we didn’t run out of time we would be back for dinner.

We really enjoyed our private cooking class with Arik and Putnam… we had an opportunity to visit the morning market and then cook a 3-course meal in an open air kitchen. We enjoyed our lunch in the organic garden. Perfect day!

Absolutely loved our lunch at Milk and Madhu! The service was top-notch – we’re super picky vegetarians (no egg, no fish oil) and Captain Puspa and Novi were amazing, guiding us through the menu without batting an eye. She suggested the Summer Slice Pizza and OH MY GOD – best pizza EVER. I seriously still can’t get over how good it was. Big shoutout to the team for making a Milo Shake for us, even though it’s supposed to be just for kids. That was such a nice touch! We had an awesome lunch and can’t wait to come back soon. I came here on a Sunday to try their special brunch, and it was such a great way to start the day! I had the cheeseburger with a beer — absolutely delicious and satisfying. Then I couldn’t resist trying the dessert: an apple crumble pie with ice cream. It was simply amazing! I left with such positive vibes and a big smile. The atmosphere here is wonderful- friendly people, great music, and an overall lovely energy. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to:)

We came here based on reviews and had breakfast and dinner. Everything was great. They had breakfast promotions, and it was incredibly crowded. A line formed after we sat down, but it wasn't as crowded that evening, so we enjoyed our meal comfortably. Since we don't eat pork, they offered to swap our menu items for other items, which was very nice. We enjoyed the lasagna for dinner. The ice cream is safe, and the food is delicious. We recommend it.

Nice atmosphere in the morning and in the evening because inside gets too hot at noon (due to big glass windows). You can enjoy great cocktails (you pay one get two during the happy hour). I ordered grilled fish and salad -the portion was a bit small- but it was really delicious. Prices are a bit above average. Service was very fast.

The food here is soo good!! The smash burger was so juicy and flavoursome, and the fries were nice and crispy! My boyfriend got the chicken Parma which was one a deal for 99k, and he thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff were super friendly and even let me do some colouring haha they also offer seltzers on the drink menu which was fun to try! I would definitely recommend to eat and drink at Milk & Madu!!

When you come to Ubud, don’t skip this amazing place! I have had the best chicken burger of my life follwed by an amazing apple crumble dessert. The people who work there are so so so kind and loving. I would come back even to see them again💛

Was having the best morning here, having my proper breakfast after arriving in Ubud recently. It was the vibe that I enjoyed the most. Felt so nourished and charged being there for 2,5hr. The team there is a group of attentive people and they served genuinely from the heart. Especially Nana. She was such a sweet lady offering me a loyalty card right away. Happy to connect with her. I’d definitely come back and recommend this cafe🫶

We had a yummy breakfast here! There was no line to wait and we got seated immediately. We ordered the green smoothie, breakfast smoothie, two sides of scrambled eggs, the classic pancakes, and the berry pancakes. They were all so yummy! The eggs were perfect and the smoothies were refreshing. I think our favorite was the green smoothie. It was yummy!

Amazing food and wonderful staff! I’ve been coming here for over 1.5 years and more than 10 times and I have never once been disappointed. It used to be called Suka Espresso, but now I think it’s called Bonnie in the evening where you can then come for dinner. I’ve tried their salad bowls, the chicken katsu sandwich (forgive me if I got the name slightly wrong), breakfast dishes, and even desserts and everything has been consistently delicious. What makes this place truly special, though, is the staff. They are warm, welcoming, and genuinely make the whole experience unforgettable. I want to sincerely thank the entire team, it’s a joy to eat here not just because the food is amazing, but because the people are amazing too. Wishing you all the very best, and I can’t wait to come back!

Zest Ubud is a place where you instantly feel at home. The location is simply stunning – surrounded by greenery with a bright, open atmosphere that radiates both peace and inspiration. Every corner is warmly and thoughtfully designed, and you can feel the love for detail everywhere. The vegan menu is impressively diverse and truly delicious – every dish we tried was fresh, creative, and full of flavor. A must-try are the Spicy Corn Ribs and the fruit bowls – both are a perfect 10/10! What we especially loved is that plant-based food here isn’t treated as just an alternative, but as a full culinary experience in its own right. Within only four days we visited twice, simply because we enjoyed it so much – which says it all. The team also makes the experience even more special: the staff are extremely friendly, attentive, and create such a positive vibe. For us, Zest Ubud is definitely one of the absolute highlights in Bali!

Our absolute favorite place in Ubud! We’ve tried so many restaurants and cafés in Bali, sometimes 4–5 a day, but after visiting Zest we didn’t want to go anywhere else. The atmosphere is so unique — it can’t really be put into words, you just have to experience it. We came in the morning, during the day, in the evening, even late at night… and every time the energy felt so special. It’s incredibly cozy and makes you want to spend the whole day there, every day. The restaurant is fully vegan — which for me, as a non-vegan, after the third visit meant there was less excitement in trying new dishes — but still, everything is so unique and creative. And the selection of drinks is just amazing.

NOTE to the OWNER; please be aware of guests who sit around all day and take up space who are not ordering food or taking up entire tables with a laptop. It creates a low vibe and encourages a “work vibe”. Maybe make a laptop area only and tell guest who just sit around to kindly be on their way and let other people sit down. Best vegan food we've had in Ubud. I love that they have so many gluten free options too. Our fave food were the sushi, cauliflower wings (AMAZING) and the pizza. Healthy choices, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere. This place is always crowded with tourists hanging out or working on laptops (in the afternoon). I think both times we visited, once for lunch and once for dinner, we were the only locals :)

Stunning venue, and one of the most beautiful set in a restaurant I’ve seen across the globe. The service was very polite but little bit slow, though that’s not an issue in Bali. The whole piece of life is slow. However, the menu is tasty with a really good selection of vegan food yet was really lacking in protein dishes. They pointed out protein boosts to their foods but really needed some more Tempe and tofu on the menu. Highly recommended though.

One of the best meals I’ve had in Bali!! Didn’t even know it was vegan my fist time here and came back a few days later with a huge group. Everyone could not stop raving about how good each meal, drink, and dessert was incredible!! Mushroom parmigiana and the chocolate goddess ball were the favorites for sure! Yulita was our server and she was so lovely, attentive and helpful!! Can’t wait to be back!

I love the atmosphere at night. Breezy and the dim lights give it a cozy feel. The food was all organic and you can taste the realness of the food. The cauliflower was good but not great. The batter wasn’t crispy. My wife loved the burger, but I don’t like sweet burgers. I had the wrap and it was delicious.

Sage in Ubud really impressed me. The jackfruit burrito was absolutely delicious — hearty, flavorful, and satisfying. I also loved the coconut cake — super moist and not overly sweet, a perfect finish to the meal. The space itself is peaceful and beautifully designed.

Had the jackfruit burrito 🌯 Amazing. The combination of textures is incredible, homemade hot sauce delicious. Coconut cake still divine. Coming back to try more of their food!!! Came back the next day. Got the sweet potato bowl. It should be renamed to cabbage and bean juice soup. There were maybe 6 pieces of potato on my bowl. The refried beans just looked like beans from a can, water included. Ordered the banana pancakes instead, they were yummy. The corn crusted Tempe “Chicken wings” were OK, I really like their homemade hot sauce. Over all the service is good, the employees are kind — I was just really disappointed with the potato bowl. I was expecting more potato, they’re so cheap anyways. I’ve worked in the service industry for 10 years and I don’t complain hardly ever. I respectfully and privately expressed my dissatisfaction. I recognize that I am probably just holding the service to an American standard, but I left a little annoyed how it was resolved after coming here a few days in a row.

One of my favourite vegan spots in Ubud and definitely the most affordable! Their tempeh buffalo wings are insanely good as well as the burritos. Lots of choice of cakes too. Service is extremely quick. Love this place!

My two visits left me with mixed experiences: some meals really struck me (tempeh wings), others were okayish, e.g. cauliflower wings tasted a bit too naughty (too much oil?) and oreo cake was actually just a chocolate cake What I was most disappointed by tho was the coffee: my iced latte turned out to be an iced coffee and tasted somewhat earthy All-in-all just/still a decent vegan place

The food was okay, fresh and tasty enough. They didn't have the items listed on the menu so they substituted some other vegetables. Service was quite slow for in-house guests, they seemed to be doing lots of takeaway orders.

I have been to this cafe 3 out of 6 days i’ve been in ubud now and I LOVE the food! Two of the times, i’ve ordered their jackfruit asada burrito (~80k) it tastes so similar to meat (I am not actually vegan but my friend is) and ordered the fries on top too which tastes great (Didn’t really enjoy the sauce it came with so used the sauce that came with the wrap.) Other great menu Items i’ve tried and loved - Moringa soup - Jamu - California burrito, comes with fries inside. - The teriyaki bowl(70k), - Cookies (35k for two) with thte flavour of oatmeal or choc chip - Coconut layer cake - THIS IS HEAVENLY! i NEED to come back for this - Overall all tastes amazing. They also sell some incense and other health products, the cafe is spacious and has fans. Each cutlery set also comes with a meaningful quote or message for you to reflect on. Note - no aircon Highly recommend this vegan joint!

This Italian restaurant was overall an average experience. We ordered a pizza and a pasta, and both were somewhere between average and good - nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. The service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. The place was full of tourists, but also a fair number of Italians, and from what I heard around, most seemed to agree that the food was about average. The big advantage here is the location, which is excellent and makes the restaurant convenient if you are nearby.

The pizza was absolutely delicious — perfect dough and high-quality ingredients. We didn’t make a reservation but still got a table. The staff clearly mentioned we could sit for about an hour and a half, which was more than enough. There’s also a valet service for a small fee, which really helps keep the area from getting crowded. Definitely coming back next time!

First of all, it’s superrr noisy at the restaurant, since it’s located in-front of the main road, the material of the restaurant doesn’t absorb sound at all. Felt terrible and cannot enjoy a conversation with my family. Overall food was nice. I like the Carbonara, Spaghetti Neri Bottarga and the Salmon was good. Pizza was nice. But 1 thing, this is an Italian restaurant right, why does your cappuccino tasted terrible??? Why so large and what was that much of a milk for? I can’t taste the coffee and is not cheap either. Fix your coffee please😭

It was a rainy night in Ubud. Many restaurants had already closed their kitchens and the streets were quiet, glistening under the warm light of the rain. Just when I was about to give up, L’Osteria appeared, a small glow in the dark, with a table for two waiting as if it had been saved for us. From the moment we sat down, the aroma of fresh pizza dough and wood fire wrapped around us. The staff greeted us with genuine smiles, not rushed, not forced, just simple kindness that felt rare and real. The food arrived hot and full of flavor, every bite reminding me that good things often come unplanned. That night, in the soft sound of rain and laughter, L’Osteria became more than a restaurant. It was a small shelter, a moment of warmth in the heart of Ubud. A true experience, simple, beautiful, and one I will not forget. Special thanks to Cila who served us.

My favorite pizza place in Ubud! I went there a few days ago and ordered their quatro formaggi pizza - loved it! Also, not forget to mention that their interior design is top notch! Love the ambiance and the atmosphere as well.

I’m not sure the burrata pizza was meant to be most raw/fresh ingredients but there was certainly a slap dash feeling to the way it was assembled. It was challenging to share and was quickly soggy from the burrata. I’ve had this combo before elsewhere and don’t remember it being so detrimental to the pizza bread. I don’t know. Reviews mainly cover the pizza, but the risotto was the star here. Maybe don’t just order the pizza because they have a pizza oven and the server tears our pizza with his gloved hands instead of cutting it like we asked. Try the pasta too. Heck, maybe skip the pizza entirely.

Their pizza is definitely a MUST try! It’s fresh, chewy and really good! We got another pizza to try! There is a pasta which is very cheesy, you might want to consider ordering this if you don’t like cheese. Even as a lover for cheese I wouldn’t recommend this dish. Beef as you can see portions are thinly sliced and it was tasteless. Potatoes were tasteless too! Overall as the name says it, if you want good pizzas come here!

Had the most wonderful time celebrating my friend's birthday at Aperitif. We booked the private dining room, and every arrangement was perfect. The food was exquisite, the service was impeccable, and the venue itself is stunning. The manager was incredibly helpful and friendly during our WhatsApp communication in the lead-up to the event. A truly special touch was the personalized menu they created for us with our names on it, finalized after we made our choices upon arrival. It's these extra details that show how much they care about creating a unique experience. I cannot recommend Aperitif highly enough for a special occasion. Thank you for making our celebration so memorable.

This was honestly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was pure perfection. The staff were so kind and attentive — you can really feel how much they care about creating a special evening for every guest. But the food… absolutely incredible. Every course was a masterpiece, beautifully presented, perfectly balanced. Every single dish was a surprise in the best possible way. You can tell that so much thought, creativity, and passion go into every single dish. Each plate felt like a little journey on its own, both visually and in taste. The 7-course menu was a real culinary adventure and the wine pairing made it even more special. The wines were truly unique combinations I’d never have imagined, yet they matched the dishes flawlessly. It’s definitely worth adding the pairing; it elevates the entire experience. It’s rare to find a place where every detail, from the service to the plating to the final bite, feels so intentional and refined. I left completely amazed and already can’t wait to come back.

If Bali has a fancier restaurant than Apéritif, we haven’t found it. NB, as part of the Viceroy Hotel, this place has the only helicopter pad we’ve seen. Notice also Art Deco motifs merging with a colonial fantasy of Bali in the 1930s, when it was still ruled by the Dutch. Black and white tiles are typical of the era, okay, but the pattern also alludes to Balinese Hinduism, which acknowledges good and evil as equal parts of life, and life works best when in balance. We reserved an early table to take advantage of ambient light before sunset, but it was hardly necessary. Apéritif is well lit to feature the extraordinary cuisine. This is fine dining with nothing held back. The menu follows the phases of the moon, and all the plates are also shaped like the moon. The staff are marvelously well-trained and in typical Balinese style willing at all times to pause and explain what’s going on. The wine collection is world-class, and considering transportation and taxes, prices are very reasonable, but after a couple of fascinating cocktails that blended classic expressions with Balinese accents, we chose the wine pairing, which was magnificent, both in selections and in the pairings themselves, which were remarkably intelligent, not to mention synergetic. Sommelier Jean-Benoit Iselé has taken full advantage of APÉRETIF’s extraordinary cellar and doubtless collaborated closely with chef Nick Vanderbeeken to evoke every possible nuance. I’m running out of words, but this experience brings to a close our quest for authentic Bali. The power of this ancient anomalous civilization, now almost completely subsumed by tourism, has been raised to pure art here at Apéritif, absent apology, but glowing with respect for the very best.

Personally, the standout dishes for me were the King Prawn and the Venison Wellington, Chef Nic’s signature dish – both absolute must-tries. Aperitif is not just a meal, it’s an immersive culinary journey that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking the very best of fine dining in Ubud.

For a tourist restaurant, food and service could have been better. Maybe I am being demanding but the staff could have smiled more. Food was typical zoo restaurant pricing and we felt that the food could be better. Other than that, the atmosphere was good as it's a rare opportunity to dine beside the lions' enclosure and see them up close! You get to see 2 male lions while you go to the toilet too!

Great view of animals, lots of activities can be done, the only problem I would like to post is the food options. May be it is good for guests not from India, but need more options from my point of view . Great place overall

This is a restaurant at the main lobby of Mara River Safari Lodge. We ordered a baby back ribs, spaghetti and peri peri chicken. The price we paid is about RP690K. The quality of the food is so so. The spaghetti was nice but the peri peri chicken was very tough. The baby back ribs was ok. The restaurant is very spacious and the best thing is you can see the lions from inside the restaurant. So the atmosphere is good. Price wise wasn’t really cheap. There’s another restaurant inside the Safari called Uma which I felt was nicer and cheaper. But of course you don’t have the lion experience.

Ordered the steak sand-which, was not very nice - doughy bread and steak was very tiny without any sauce or flavour. The other meals looked nice but wouldn't recommend ordering the steak sand-which to others.

Great atmosphere and location within the lions area. However food was really not good. The chicken of the Ayam betutu was dry and overcooked, i'm an easy eater but this was one of the very few times in my life I didn't finish my plate. Same for the pasta bolognese for the kid, and even the pineapple juice tasted strange. The only good thing I had was my beer.

The sushi was fresh and tasty, and the hot rolls were really good too. I liked the food a lot, even if the street outside was busy and a bit noisy. Overall, it was still a nice stop worth trying.

We had a pleasant dinner at Kyoka. The food was overall very nice. There are variaties of drinks. Staff were friendly and efficient. They did act very quickly helping each tables.

We had an excellent evening with a very delicious meal and very kind and friendly staff. The manager was so welcoming and fun to talk to, always checking if we're enjoying our meal or need anything. The waiters and bar men were very efficient and friendly even though the restaurant was overbooked and very busy. I strongly recommend this culinary address. For Muslim clients, it has many vegetarian and pescetarien options and you can even enjoy moctails (nonalcoholic cocktails). My advice is to make reservation if you want to get a table, we didn't and we found out on arrival that all tables are booked, they nonetheless proposed to serve us in the bar area, and honestly it was more confortable and pleasant than I thought it would be. Again very beautiful experience and excellent food and service. Thank you so much Kyoka!

An extremely pleasurable dining experience with fantastic cocktails. Had the tuna sashimi, was slightly skeptical when ordering. It came out on ice and was cold and fresh, tuna rolls were delicious and edamame was great to. Can not find a fault here. Thanks for a nice time!

We had the pork gyoza, chicken avo & cucumber sushi, and the pork ramen and it was all very delicious. Best ramen i’ve ever had, broth was amazing and full of many flavours. Definitely recommend and will be back!

There are so many vegetarian and vegan-friendly restaurants in Ubud and us carnivors were a bit sceptical of Dumbo on first glance. But we decided to give it a go and did not regret our decision. Put simply, the pizza and pasta are phenomenal. We were all gushing over how good our individual dishes were and revelled in sharing them around so that everyone could have a taste. The interior of the venue is also beautifully designed and we were lucky enough to be seated at the enormous table reserved for larger groups, which felt like we had our own private dining area. A friendly visit from the Australian owner and a complimentary round of limoncello completed what was a very memorable experience.

Everything here is amazing! All the staff is so friendly, Mbok Juli always serves us with a heart-warming smile. Even the owner, Mr. Jonathan and Mrs. Monica, and Ms. Eve, the manager also welcomed us warmly. The view and atmosphere on the upstairs is very calming and majestic. Even though this place is in Ubud, it is far from the hustle and bustle. The food here is very delicious. The vegetarian fettuccine is so creamy and tasty, I really recommend to try it, also the strawberry lemonade is very refreshing. And don't forget to order the tiramisu that has a very, very authentic taste! Highly recommend this place to have dinner or hang out!!

The setting is very comfortable and the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff are super friendly too! We were welcomed with some complementary finger foods and seated at a lovely open window. There are two downsides. It's very popular, so you might need to book or wait in a line if you're going at a peak time. Also, their menu is quite limited with choices. The food they do have is scrumptious - unquestionably top 3 with respect to pizzas in Ubud but not the most friendly on the pocket.

Hidden gem on busy street just north of Ubud. 5-7pm Happy hour 2 for 1 cocktails or wine - great value. The tempura vegetables entree and “Pinocchio” wood fired pizza (caramelised leek, candied lemon, bocconcini & feta - amazing combination!) were excellent.

Dumbo is a vegetarian restaurant and bar that serves Italian style food and pizzas from an amazing wood fired oven. Prices reflect the quality of the food. The decor and ambiance are amazing. The downstairs bar is decorated with records. The upstairs restaurant has brick and wood features, a disco ball style light, graffiti style paintings on the wall. Seating was comfortable. The restaurant played retro tunes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pizza oven fires up at 5pm. I will try the pizza on my next visit.

Such great pizza, cocktails and tiramisu. This is some of the best pizza I have had in the world, fresh and well thought out ingredients with such well cooked wood fired bases. Candied lemon on a pizza- who would have thought! Highly recommend and hope to be back again on another trip to Ubud.

The food is insanely good, very cheap for the quality. I ate here 3 nights in a row that's how good the food is and the staff are extremely friendly. Shame this place isn't packed every night because it should be!

Enjoyed my meal here. The truffle tagliatelle, pork belly rice and sate lilit were great! The fried rice was tasty too but the rice itself was a bit undercooked. Staff were attentive as well and 💯 playlist, 10/10 would visit again!

Solid restaurant in Ubud. During my visit i was very surprised to find it empty. I initially thought something had to be off if no one else was there. I ended up staying and it was a great choice because the staff was very kind / friendly and the food was amazing! I had the Burratta salad and the Steak. It was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavors. I highly recommend this place during your time in Ubud.

A hidden gem just off the main road in Ubud. Considering the excellent quality of the food and the good service at affordable prices, it's amazing the place isnt crowded at all. We had to come back for a second dinner at this gem!

I loved the experience, the interior, the hospitality, the food. Will definitely come back again. The interior is so beautiful, the lighting is on point, so cozy... And the food is tasty too, the price was all worth it. And they have big parking area (shared) so you don't have to worry about getting parking spot, especially here in Ubud. I would highly recommend this place to my friends - in the afternoon/evening.

Came in for a quick lunch. Very nice spot for a bite to eat or drink to cool down. Decor was so nice and comfortable. Staff was amazing. I had the salmon salad and it was DELICIOUS! Great mix of veggies and quinoa, with a nice sized piece of salmon.

We had a wonderful experience! The environment was lovely, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Despite being outdoors, there were hardly any mosquitoes, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The food was fantastic! We ordered the scallop starter— the scallops were very fresh and paired perfectly with the sauce. My husband especially loved the smoked octopus. The most surprising and heartwarming moment was when we were about to ask for the bill — the staff surprised me with a birthday treat! I was genuinely impressed and touched by their thoughtful arrangement. Thank you for making my day so special!

Gorgeous space, beautiful concept, delicious dishes and lovely attentive service. I wasnt feeling well and the staff made me an herbal tea to go because I didn't look too well. Thank you very much, it was delicious and helped me sleep. We highly recommend the torched scallops. Beautiful!

The cocktails here are delicious and very interesting. We had amazing food here. They serve smaller portions of very delicious food - just how I like it :). We got the torched scallops to start and the prawn shashlik as main. The prawns were perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was lovely looking over their garden where they grow fresh herbs💚

This was a fantastic dinner to celebrate a special occasion. Try the pumpkin soup, it is one of the best soups I’ve ever had. I also enjoyed “The Wall” cocktail which was like an espresso martini but much better. The scallops were also excellent. The restaurant is beautiful and well suited for a special occasion or just an affordable fine dining experience.

We stayed at the Bisma Eight Villas for 5 nights during our honeymoon and dined at Embers for breakfast every day and for dinner once. The food was exceptional - delicious flakey pastries for breakfast, amazing avocado toast, everything was great. The dinner was really special - very elevated mediterranean food that was one of the best meals we had on our whole 2+ week trip. The staff were so attentive, so kind, so welcoming. The ambiance is beautiful! Loved it.

Service was amazing throughout the night - edy and lala looked after us and they were both so helpful and kind. I have dietary restrictions (gluten free/celiac) and they were both extremely knowledgeable and helpful about it as well as the menu having heaps of gluten free options! Food, location and ambience are great. Awesome view overlooking the river and underneath the Campuhan foot bridge. We tried the meat lover, duck legs, gindara fish, spinach ravioli and a number of desserts. Coffee wasn't bad either. Overall a bit pricey though.

This shop, restaurant and bar is in a fantastic setting on the edge of the main road in Ubud town centre. It has great views across the bridge and the wilds of the forest covered hillside. The food was spectacular. Presented brilliantly, packed with freshness and flavours and utterly delicious. There were also complimentary palate cleansers between courses. The staff were wonderfully attentive and described the ingredients and flavours of each dish as it was served. This isn't something I'd say fits the budget of your average backpacker however for those without a budget, expect top notch service and food for approx. £50 for a pair (Inc. drinks).

Tonight we had an exquisite dinner at Bridges in Ubud. The surrounds were breathtaking, enchanting, mystical and magical. We arrived and had a drink at the bar, then chaperoned upstairs once our table was available. Our waiter, Luis was a credit to the Balinese hospitality industry, college and the Bridges establishment, he has an infectious smile, a passion for excellence in dining, customer service and true to his culture and beliefs. His explanation of our chosen meals when brought to our table was unique and welcomed, it was lovely to have our meals explained to us, which were beautifully presented and were divine in taste. To the Aussie owner from Byron Bay, your venue, service, menu and presentation is of superior standard and a credit to yourself and staff....extremely happy diners from Oz, we will return :-)

A very good restaurant near to gastronomic one. The team is very very good and adorable. Every time smiling.the main course are very excellent and the dressing is very beautiful. You will enjoy the jungle view and the sound of river accompanied by very relaxing music. and smiley. Price are a little bit high comparing to other restaurant, but accessible for European.

Tried the tasting menu and all was good and tasty, except for the meat main dish so that is why rating is 4 stars. We complained about the meat and were offered to try again with meat re-done, but we were full already and got a discount as an apology instead. Otherwise a very nice place to have dinner at. Enjoyed the view and the experience. The place does feel a bit touristy, but it is cosy even though the restaurant is quite large. There is a bit of noise of the bridge but nothing that bothered us too much. Pleasent experience overall.

Upscale restaurant in Ubud. The plating and presentation is fantastic. Food quality is good, but not outstanding. Highly recommend the zucchini blossoms. Drinks are good too. If you are looking for something reasonable priced that feels upscale I would try this.

I came back here 3 times! The food is great, the chicken cashew nut is my favorite dish there. Nasi goreng was also very good. They have a big platter that i didn’t try, but looks amazing from all the other people ordering it. The staff is so friendly and helpful!

We originally came here because of the social enterprise aspect but were blown away experience here. We had the variety platter to try different things and not only was it super nice to look at but also it was very delicious. The place was very welcoming and service was great. Absolutely loved this place! I had a fresh coconut and the best vegetarian curry I’ve tried so far in Bali, packed with generous veggies, tofu, and tempeh. Cozy atmosphere with warm yellow lights infront of the street, perfect for watching the rain. Friendly service, especially from the lovely Bintan, so professional and kind. There are two floors for dining, and fresh barbecue is available downstairs. The best part, half the meal price supports an Indonesian medical charity. Beautiful food with a beautiful cause.

Good food and good service! The chicken satay and cashew chicken were great. The fried fish was good, albeit a bit on the smaller side. Nutella banana crepe was lovely.

Came here on a recommendation by a friend. Hearing that this place has good seafood, and was not only an eating establishment but also a place that provides free health care to the poor, we HAD to come try it out. The location is a little out of the way, hidden in one of the smaller alleys in Ubud, and there weren't obvious lights or signboard for the place, but with GPS it wasn't too hard to find. The place is a little small, and it was really warm downstairs where we sat. We heard it was a lot cooler upstairs, but it was full. We ordered the tuna and the deep fried snapper, together with onion rings and spring roll as sides. The food took a long time to arrive, and truth be told, weren't really great. The service was good though, and for a good cause, can't really complain. All in all a decent place for dinner, not bad at all. I do encourage people to support this place simply because of the good cause.

One of our favorite meals in Ubud. Curry was great, sides and noodles as well. Price was right, service was great and a cool atmosphere. Expect a small wait since the space is small.

Saved the best for our last night in Ubud. After reading reviews I had to try the fish coconut curry. Simply delicious. Comes with a side of spicy salad if you want to heat it up more. It's obvious the staff know how good the food is and provided great advice. Cheerful, friendly helpful service. A must try.

My favourite food place in Bali no joke!! The staff are so lovely and remembered us when we inevitably went back. Their food is just so good! 🤤 My friend and I would always split the appetiser special and then get our own main and that was plenty for us. One night we did did forgo the entree so we could have a crepe each for dessert- also definitely worth it. Will be returning to Ubud just to eat here haha.

Incredibly delicious curry, amazing appetizers, and the lava cake is an absolute must-try! The owners are super friendly, and the food arrives quickly. They check to ensure everything tastes great, and you can customize the spice level of the dishes. We visited twice during our vacation and were thrilled each time. Would’ve loved to come back more, but sadly our trip is over. Highly recommend this gem!

A must have. Love this restaurant. We had the pork and chicken dumplings for starters, with the mushroom croquettes and naan bread with coconut curry. All were amazing and repeated the orders. For the mains, we had the noodles with shrimp and it was so great. We also had the coconut curry- great if you like curry. We finished off with the creme caramel with coconut cream and yum. Amazing food and price. The service is super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is great.

We ate here yesterday. The food is just amazing. We ordered a wet burrito, soft tacos, nachos, quesadillas and it was just amazing. Never felt so full. Everything was great and highly recommend this place.

We had a very nice late lunch, served by a lovely staff. The food was tasty and plentiful. I have a veggie wet burrito, usually served with cheese but I asked to have it taken off, and my boyfriend had carne asada quesadillas. Both were great and we left full and satisfied. The best restaurant I've even eaten in Ubud! I got the jalapeno poppers to start off with and they were amazing! I've been dreaming about them since. I also got the wet chicken burrito which was amazing! I ate every last nite and I was STUFFED. Would totally recommend going here!

Went there few times, and came back again after awhile. I had wet Burito and it was still so good. The portion is huge with affordable price. Good quality foods and fresh. Love it The place is nice bright and clean, they also have more space on the second floor. If you come by a car you might want call them to ask if they have valet, as I saw their parking only enough for bikes. Walking distance from Monkey Forest. Will back again, Good luck 🍀

Food - Good taste however not original Mexican. Their Tabasco Chipotle is really good. Other sauces tastes normal. Taco bell sauces still comes on top. Service- fast service Atmosphere- hot 🔥...u can enjoy tacos without air-conditioned.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Ubud! I lived in Ubud for 2 years in 2019, and have been frequently visiting here. And this is still my all time favorite place to go. The staff is friendly, the food is incredibly fresh (always!), the vibe is so nice! I recommend soft veggie tacos, veggie quesadilla, and sizzling beef fajitas. The fajita might feel a bit dry, but add salsa, beans, tomatoes, avocados, and cream wrapped in tortillas, you will experience heaven… so juicy👌And you must try theirs virgin Pina Colada…so good 💖🍹

This was near our hotel and we went there seeing their good reviews and we were really happy with the food. The protein bowl, pizza, pancakes everything was tasty. The ambience is top notch. Live music at night. Wash rooms are top notch. I saw people working on their laptops. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Me and my husband came here for dinner one night while staying in Ubud on our honeymoon. This place is amazing! The food is excellent, and the drinks were fabulous! Agung was our server and he was so attentive to us and even brought us out a surprise honeymoon dessert. Very sweet! Thank you so much Tablespoon!

I had a lovely lunch at Tablespoon! The restaurant feels so cozy and welcoming, ideal for both lunch and dinner, and the staff couldn’t be lovelier! I highly recommend their Gyoza, Meatball in Marinara Sauce, Korean Bbq Chicken and Protein Chicken Bowl as well as their Chicken Parmigiana. I can’t wait to return and try more delicious dishes!

The food was absolutely delicious, with great live music and an amazing singer. The service was fantastic – Tina took care of us and she was simply wonderful, recommending some of the dishes we tried, always with a big smile on her face. Highly recommended!

We had a very nice experience at Tablespoon! The restaurant is very nicely decorated and had live music (he was insanely good). We ordered the gyoza with chicken and the Korean wings for starters. The wings were tasty, could be a bit more spicy, the gyoza were also tasty, it did have a lot of chicken inside. We ordered the crunch & cream pasta which is like an Alfredo pasta, it was very tasty, super crispy breaded chicken and a nice think sauce. The pizza margarita was nice, but I think maybe an extra cheese like Parmesan of Grana padano on top would be great to enhance the cheesy flavour and give it a bit more saltiness. Tina and the rest of the staff were very nice and friendly. Also, the drinks were so tasty.

Agung was a great server/bartender. The service was great, the amenities were amazing, and the drinks were excellent. Id recommend this place to anyone from check-in to making us feel comfortable during our first trip to Bali. 11/10. Check this place out!

The view and atmosphere was amazing. To reach this place is another adventure surrounded by nature on all sides. You can park your vehicle at the entrance then hotel staff will take you through buggy to the restaurant. You can dine-in private on advance booking. There is a water body next to the restaurant giving all a pleasant sound. Since it was my birthday so my husband randomly ask them if possible to do any celebration, my God people are amazing and so lovely they immediately got cake and few staff members came together to sing for me. I loved it. The cherry on the cake, people sitting there also joined them.

Swept away restaurant at Samaya Villas is one of the restaurants I always book when I visit Bali. Next to a running river stream with dining tables setup beautifully at a balcony area down from the hotel lobby. Food was amazing and the service was implacable. They will arrange a buggy to drive you down from the hotel lobby. Services were really good and the food was top quality given the not-so-expensive price tag relative to other 5-star restaurants nearby in Mandapa (e.g. Ritz Carlton or Aman, gosh those you do pay an overwhelming $ premium!) You are recommended to wear adequate mosquito repellent when you attend dinner since bugs are frequent at sunset with proximity to any stream areas in Bali. Anyway the restaurant provides repellent (from utama spice, a favourite Balinese herbal brand) at no extra costs. I ordered a bottle of rose wine from Hatten Wines Bali and it costs IDR 400k (16% taxes to be added) there. I took the half remaining bottle back to the hotel and still a great value. Overall a great experience with value-to-money at 5-star hotel quality.

I recently went to swept away restaurant with my partner and chose the ‘100 candle lit dinner’ option. It was extra special as I proposed to her. Because I was proposing I had some special requests like petal arrangements, timings for the food and timings for the photographer. I reached out to swept away around 2 months before going there to plan all of these things and they were extremely helpful. There was a lot of back and forth with the messages and they spent a lot of time responding to me so I want to thank them for that. The meal was planned for Tuesday but due to heavy rain it meant we had to reschedule the meal last minute. Again they were extremely accommodating for me and helped me get the same table I originally booked but a few days later. As I was proposing it was really important to me that I got the table I wanted so I want to give a massive thank you to Komang who helped me with this. Although everything was agreed with the restaurant beforehand, I was still apprehensive turning up on the night as I wanted everything to be perfect. I didn’t have anything to worry about as they executed everything I asked for to perfection. The set up for the meal was absolutely stunning. I couldn’t have asked for a more romantic environment for the proposal. The food and cocktails were delicious and they were delivered exactly when I had asked for them. Finally the service was brilliant. I want to give a special shout out to Agustya who was our server on the night. He was very friendly and professional and I’m grateful for his contribution to the evening. Overall I couldn’t speak highly enough of the restaurant and the staff there. If you’re looking to have a meal with delicious food in an idilic location the swept away restaurant is the place to go!

One of the best spots to have a romantic dinner in Ubud. The 100 candle light package by the river was something else. Secluded for some privacy, romantic, and relaxing with the sound of the river flowing next to you. The service was on a level on its own. They are helpful, joyful, and willing to accommodate any wishes or special occasions (think birthday, anniversary, wedding proposals, ...) if need to. The food was very good (and halal options available). Amazing place to celebrate these special occasions.

Tia was our server and she was so patient with us even though we kept changing our mind. We got the pork ribs with onion and the Balinese Coconut pork ribs. Very good and we asked for spicy and it wasn't too spicy. Tia doesn't drink but we do so we enjoyed the taro cocktail 3 times and the special of the day. We are very satisfied with our meal. This is my second visit here, and once again the pork ribs did not disappoint—they’re definitely the highlight of the menu! The nasi was delicious as well, perfectly complementing the meal. Special thanks to Aka, our waitress, who was very friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. Highly recommended!
