What a great restaurant tucked away from the craziness of the high street in Ubud! High quality food and drinks, served with great attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. We sat at the bar which was great and the bartenders really looked after us 🍸 Don’t skip the lobster dumplings. Probably one of the best I ever had, really appreciated the generous ratio of lobster 🦞 The beef rendang was 🤌🏼 and I really enjoyed my grilled baby chicken. An explosion of flavour in all dishes, without being too spicy.

We had an outstanding experience at Hujan Locale. The local cuisine was exquisite, with fresh ingredients and every dish bursting with flavour, elevated by a touch of sophistication. It’s certainly not the cheapest restaurant in Ubud, but absolutely worth it. The staff were wonderfully welcoming and warm. The setting is charming, a typical local-style restaurant, yet with exceptional attention to detail and a beautifully maintained atmosphere. We tried the crispy chicken and pork batagor dumpling, the slow-cooked beef rendang, and the Acehnese chicken korma, all of which were utterly delicious. We wouldn’t hesitate to return!

I really wanted to like Hujan Locale, but honestly, it just didn’t live up to the hype. Or the price tag. For 330k, I was expecting something exceptional, something that justifies the upscale branding. Instead, what I got felt no different from what you’d find in a good local warung—except here, you’re paying triple for the same experience. The beef rendang, which should’ve been the highlight, was average at best. Flavor was fine, but not memorable. I’ve had rendang from tiny family-run spots that easily outshine this one in both taste and soul. Even the presentation lacked finesse. The ambiance was pleasant enough, but the service crossed into overbearing. The staff seemed to lose their minds over the fact that I had a bottle of energy drink with me—even though I wasn’t drinking it. The way they reacted was unnecessary and frankly insulting. For a restaurant that tries to present itself as refined, that kind of attitude felt petty and off-putting. Overall, Hujan Locale feels like a place coasting on reputation and aesthetics rather than substance. The food is decent, but if you actually care about flavor and value, you’ll find better—and more authentic—meals in the warungs down the street.

Hujan Locale is amazing. The venue is gorgeous and stepping in feels like you’re stepping into another era. The staff are professional and nice - delivering service with a smile. The food is fantastic - each meal providing a different range of flavours and textures. Each dish tastier than the next. Overall we have a GREAT experience and will return. It was on the pricier end of the spectrum but worth every cent - a nice treat!

We were recommended this place and it certainly did not disappoint! We came without a booking but were able to sit downstairs in the bar area and order all the food. The cocktails were great and the food was amazing. Some really interesting and unique flavours all round with too many dishes to recommend! Wish we had come another night to try some more.

In our 2 stay last year and this year, this was the best restaurant we've found in Ubud and Bali in general. Welcoming staff. 🙏 Can be a bit pricey but not overpriced like other places where the food isn't good by the way. Here you'll have great food (at least if you try our recommandations).. 👍 Special mention for the beef rendang, the scallop (starter) and the dessert mango 🥭- coco 🥥 in granite style. Disappointed by the tuna (starter) though, which was lacking a bit of taste and some 'peps' . wish the tuna had come with a sauce similar to the one that came with the scallop... Also, people complaining in the comments are just people without any taste who enjoy Coca, Fries 🍟, and Burgers 🍔/ pizza 🍕 🤦

Not a bad spot, nice view of the volcano! The bread as pictured was amazing. Could have had a loaf for dinner. The duck was interesting. Very sweet almost candied. The sauce was even sweeter and to be honest I have had better. But also had worse… The staff was great, super friendly and attentive. The coffee latte was also on par.

Went for late lunch as a solo traveller and had a GREAT experience. Super good service, amazing view and delicious food. Snapper Curry was full of flavor and the Chocolate Mousse reminded me of the one they made at home. Recommended for a date night or nice lunch when in Ubud.

Dining at Indus Restaurant in Ubud was nothing short of perfect. The staff were warm, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring that every detail was taken care of. With its breathtaking views, superb cuisine, and flawless service, it is easily one of the best dining experiences in Ubud – a place I would return to without hesitation.

Indus delivery not just great food (and cocktails) but also a stunning view out over an impressive, deep and expansive tree-lined gully. I was there with a group of 20, which they were able to accommodate easily. (We had pre-ordered our meals though.) We also made good use of the 3 for 2 happy hour cocktail list. You have to go up and down 2 lots of large steps at the entrance, so access would be difficult if you're unstable on your feet.

My wife and I visited Indus last night and were treated to a menu which reflects both traditional Balinese cuisine as well as innovative and modern dishes bursting with freshness and flavour. Service was fantastic - attentive but not too invasive. Cocktails were amazing and our selection of dishes did not disappoint. The Balinese tapas was a great way to start our meal, a taste of local flavours to share, beautifully presented, fresh and tasty. The fish in banana leaves, a favourite from past visits, is back on the menu. Don't miss this one - the barramundi is juicy and tender and the spice mix is simply out of this world - your taste buds will love you for the experience!! The cauliflower fritters was also a stand out entree choice. And of course who could resist the famous lime tart to finish off a night of beautiful food under the full moon. We will be back. We'll done Indus.

View was amazing, from the front you don’t suspect how beautiful it is inside. Food was delicious and so were all the cocktails, we went for happy hour and the price was great. All the staff were so lovely and service was good the whole time even when they were really busy.

Not enough stars for this amazing little gem! We loved our meal at the Elephant!! Our food was both beautiful and delicious beyond expectation. This is a vegetarian restaurant with no meat on the menu. Even if you normally order meat, this restaurant is worth trying, the food is excellent! The service was kind, welcoming and prompt. We had no language issues, the menu had English descriptions and we ordered in English but did our best to thank them in Bahasa. The meal was one of our more expensive meals in Indonesia but it was by far the best, worth every penny! The view was a simply stunning showing of the jungle in the area, while the restaurant was clean and decorated in Balinese style. We're so glad we stopped here for dinner! Stop in and try it out, you won't be disappointed!

The Elephant – A Hidden Gem in Ubud Tucked away in a peaceful corner of Ubud, The Elephant is a true hidden gem. The serene atmosphere and scenic views make it an ideal spot to unwind. We enjoyed a delicious family breakfast here — with a variety of flavorful options to choose from. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, adding to the overall relaxing experience. Perfect for a quiet morning with great food and a beautiful view. Highly recommended!

Im in live with the place. Perfect location, far from the noise and traffic of ubud center but close enough to spend hours to reach home if you’re living in ubud center. The view is breathtaking. The service is amazing, the employees are kind, polite, funny, nice….. the food is very tasty. The menu looks Italian but the owner is Australian. It’s one of my favorite places. I definitely recommend it. Peaceful

This place is a gem. Beautiful covered outdoor space overlooking the jungle. While my fiancé and I are both meat eaters, we absolutely loved our vegetarian food. That fact that he- a meat loving Italian - loved the Bolognese is a big deal! My burnt sage gnocchi was so good he got one to go for dinner later. The mushroom dumplings were delightful. The carrot cake and cappuccino were a dreamy delight. We will absolutely be back! @twinflametraveltooth1111 for more suggestions

This place is awesome! I’ve eaten in restaurants in Bali and around the world and the food here is super tasty. The view is great, calm atmosphere and lovely servers. The watermelon retrograde reset drink is delish and the burger is👌👌. My friend had the pad thai it was also yummy

We came here for breakfast on our first day in Ubud, and it was a great choice. The breakfast was amazing! The setting overlooked nature, creating a wonderful atmosphere to go along with the delicious food. We can only recommend it!

We fully enjoyed our dining experience at The Elephant. It was our first night in Ubud and we’d already enjoyed a big lunch, so we probably didn’t do justice to the menu, which looked fantastic. We enjoyed a cocktail, a delicious dip platter and some spring rolls as the sun went down. Great views, relaxing Balinese style setting and excellent service. I wouldn’t hesitate returning. Everything we ordered was delicious. We didn’t expect much at first, but it really impressed us! The shrimp was fresh and springy, the spaghetti was great, and the cheese was rich and tasty. The service was excellent as well, , and they also have parking.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated, with live jazz music providing pleasant accompaniment to the meal. The staff are very attentive. The caprese salad is enhanced by the addition of lettuce and capers with an excellent dressing. The white pizza is disappointing, with a bland taste and sparse toppings, even though the dough is well made. The dessert is uninteresting, with the yoghurt cheese accompanying the torta caprese having an overly strong taste. The Australian Pinot Noir, served at the right temperature, went well with the meal.

Excellent Italian food, faithful to native Italian flavor profiles. As you might expect, coming from COMO, a luxury boutique hotel chain. Highlights: arancini and burrata.

A beautiful setting with incredible food. We had a lovely meal here during our stay in Ubud. The burrata and arancini starters were particular favourites. The restaurant was clean, food well presented and staff very attentive.

Low light. Good live music. It has such an atmosphere. The food was incredible in taste, presentation, and appearance. I had a a very romantic dinner here with my wife during our honeymoon. Santi was a wonderful waitress and helped make our evening extra special.

Sunday brunch was incredible. We had Dewa (I think is his name) serving us and he was so friendly. You can choose whatever you want from the brunch menu (we got A LOT more than what is in the photos) and it was all very high quality, presented beautifully. The pasta was the highlight for me. We were too full to try everything though, so maybe next time. Really nice atmosphere as well.

TLDR: Good service, comfortable atmosphere, great drinks, food was okay for meat eaters, but disappointing if you are veggie/gf We came here for dinner tonight and had a mixed experience. I’ll start with the positive, the service: as you’d expect in Bali it was warm, friendly and very attentive. The space itself was clean, comfortable and well looked after too. The drinks we had were excellent as well, and the 2-4-1 happy hour is great value. The food was a mixed bag and didn’t blow us away. My partner is vegetarian and gluten free, and she ordered the roasted beetroot for her main. When the plate arrived it was quite bare - 90% beetroot with a few greens and cubes of cheese doused in vinegar. There wasn’t anything else to it like a filling base of mash/rice/greens to justify listing this as a “main” in the menu - maybe this one’s on us for not looking at the menu detailedly enough, but if something is listed as a main I expect it to be more filling. As a side or starter, it would’ve been okay. I had the ribs which were very flavourful, but laid on top of a papaya salad which had too much vinegar for my liking. The tres leches for dessert was good. Again, top stars to the staff for noticing my partner wasn’t wild on the beetroot and offering to remove it from the bill. The surprise amouse bouches were great too. I would come back if they expanded their gluten free offerings!

Everything about Copper was truly outstanding. We had the pumpkin soup, pork ribs, and duck — each dish was exceptional. The pumpkin soup, in particular, was soulful and comforting, perfect for a cool, rainy evening. The focaccia they served was absolutely divine. Every dish was a five-star experience, made even better by the warm and genuine hospitality of the staff. Amazing from every angle.

The restaurant is beautifully designed, and the staff is very professional and friendly. However, we had much higher expectations for the food. We started with welcome cocktails and a small bite, which was a very nice touch and tasted good. Our mocktails were also enjoyable. For a starter, we ordered the jumbo shrimp – it looked great on the plate, but serving just one shrimp (where 70% of it is shell and head) was definitely not a good idea- anyway the sauces used in this dish were excellent and gave it an amazing flavor. Next came the chicken breast sous vide – it was simply fine. The portion was small (as expected for this type of restaurant), but the grey sauce was not good, while the vegetables were perfectly julienned and delicious – though again, there was very little of them. The ribs were just average, and unfortunately, they didn’t fall off the bone as they should have. The vegetables they were served on were far too vinegary. The potato purée, on the other hand, was tasty and served in a generous portion. The salad we ordered to go with the starter was also just okay Overall, a pleasant experience with excellent service and a few dishes that really stood out, though there is still room for improvement when it comes to balance and portions.

My wife and I visited for the special romantic dinner during our honeymoon. We were given a table surrounded by flowers in the shape of a heart, in a secluded offshoot of the main restaurant which we had all to ourselves. We were treated like total VIPs as we were served a multi-course set meal (with much flexibility for substitutions) and wine pairing. The main restaurant is already beautiful, but we were treated in such a way that the other patrons must have been wondering who we were. The food was delicious. The presentation beautiful. Atmosphere out of this world. The staff take a lot of pride in their work here, and it is a very special place. I'm told that they grow all of their own vegetables on-site, and prepare basically all food and components from scratch. It really shows. Ria in particular was a joy to talk to and took super great care of us. My only regret is that we did not reserve a room here when we were setting up our honeymoon, but we certainly will if we're ever back in town. The VIP romantic dinner (here in particular) is a once in a lifetime experience. Don't pass it up.

This was the best meal we’ve had in Bali. We walked over two miles to get to this pace and it was well worth it. We got the prawns, tofu, wagyu and the ribs. All were 12/10. The cocktails were delicious as well and they give you a nice hold towel when you come in to cool you off they also gave us a couple lemongrass shots and bread with pumpkin spread. Very nice servers, would happily go back!

We came in and tried their new dinner menu. The gili curry clams and sticky pork ribs were absolutely delicious! A must try As a vegetarian, I must say the cauliflower steak had this creamy cajuny sauce that was really tasty. Our group also ordered a risotto to mix it up and it was also very savory and delightful.

Beautiful rooftop and great service! Meal began with focaccia, lemon sipping drink and veggie skewer. We enjoyed the food with both Indonesian dishes and other cuisines. Recommend eggplant appetizer, lobster fried rice, rendang, and pork ribs. Very tasty cocktails as well!

This was an exquisite experience. The team were all delightful and we enjoyed seeing the plants they grow on site and the recycling initiatives before settling down to the first tasting area. The thought that has gone into each of the tiny and beautiful morsels is amazing - local ingredients with unusual combinations of flavours and each dish explained by one of the members of the team. The evening progresses through three zones of the restaurant each with their unique atmosphere for each phase of the tasting menu.

This was a luxurious dessert experience. So refined, memorable and far exceeding expectations. You wouldn't expect it from the name, but the service and presentation felt world class. Absolutely worth the price per person. The beverage pairings were thoughtful and creative, sometimes unexpected but always harmonious with the flavours. Each course was beautifully presented and expertly crafted. A word of advice: arrive hungry! The portions are generous and surprisingly filling. We couldn’t finish everything on the spot, but the team kindly packed up the rest and we got to enjoy it again the next day. 10/10.

The most incredible dining experience of our lives. We loved room 4 dessert, the attention to detail in everything from the setting, to the food, to the way you move around the restaurant as you go through the different courses was amazing. Truly amazing experience, the wine pairing is a must! Highlights for me were the most amazing tuna (pic 2) not normally a fan of “raw” fish but really wow, so tasty! The black sesame ice cream dessert hit some sweet and savoury notes that gives Asian crème brûlée vibes (pic5), unbelievable. The duck taco also (pic1). Could have eaten 10. A must try if you visit Ubud. We also got a ticket to return for free snacks at the powder room next door, very bohemian vibes with records playing and awesome coffee.

Have you ever felt the world stop just so you could taste heaven? Yes, I’m being that dramatic. Room4Dessert gives you the opportunity to taste, smell,feel and savor the taste of pleasure in your mouth. The entire experience is unbelievably unique. The service is top tier. I felt like they listened to me without being overly attentive. Don’t sleep on this spot!

I came to R4D by myself and it was such a nice experience from the very first moment I got greeted. Rhys and the rest of the team were so welcoming, you can really see how much training they have done because everything felt so smooth. From the garden to the entrance, every little detail was thought through. I started with the spiritless tasting menu and it was nothing short of amazing. You could tell how much the team, from the bartenders to the cooks to the servers, really loved what they were doing. Everyone was so knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the experience they were creating. The hospitality was on such a high level. The way the whole journey moved from one area to another felt unique. I haven’t seen anything quite like it before. It honestly made me feel like I was having dinner at someone’s home yet a high level tasting journey. The dishes and the mocktail pairing were definitely the highlight of the night. Every single one was fantastic. Even though I don’t usually eat everything, the small portions encouraged me to try new things and by the end I was completely satisfied. It was perfectly planned from start to finish and I just had a really lovely time. Big kudos to the team for all the thought and training they put into this place. And a special thanks to Rhys and Deva who made my dinner as a solo diner feel so comfortable and well taken care of.

This was such a great evening. We didn’t quite know what to expect… 15 courses… how were we going to eat all that?? But it was such a great experience. Eating in 3 different locations created this unique dining experience and the chef is seriously talented in creating all those courses, yes dessert heavy, although savory was just enough and really really good! If you are looking for that foodie experience this restaurant is definitely a must!

I had lunch at Cascade Restaurant during my stay at the Viceroy Bali, and it was an unforgettable experience. I tried the Nusantara Delights Indonesian set menu with wine pairing — every course was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The Kuah Be Pasih seafood broth was light yet rich, the Bebek Betutu was incredibly aromatic and tender, and the Klepon dessert was a creative twist on a local favorite. We visited Cascades at Viceroy Bali to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday, following a recommendation from the kind staff member Destri — and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. Everything from the atmosphere to the service and food was spot-on. What stood out the most was the food itself — it let the natural flavors of the ingredients shine, with minimal use of seasoning or artificial enhancers. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared and genuinely nourishing. But what truly elevated the experience was the staff’s impeccable hospitality and emotional attentiveness. Their ability to anticipate and care for guests with such warmth and grace made it clear we were dining at a world-class restaurant. It was honestly surprising to experience this level of quality in both taste and service in Bali — in the best possible way. I mean I can’t say much else for the price. Expensive by Bali standards, but the normal price of food from the countries tourists usually come from. Came here as a birthday treat, and was given impeccable service as well as a complimentary dessert from the kindness of the staff. All this in addition to being hosted at the lavish resort that is Viceroy. The Ox tail soup is great if you know how to eat from a vertebrae, and pizza was better than expected. Very impressed.

Wonderful staff and great food! I had one of the best lychee martinis here!

There are so many vegetarian and vegan-friendly restaurants in Ubud and us carnivors were a bit sceptical of Dumbo on first glance. But we decided to give it a go and did not regret our decision. Put simply, the pizza and pasta are phenomenal. We were all gushing over how good our individual dishes were and revelled in sharing them around so that everyone could have a taste. The interior of the venue is also beautifully designed and we were lucky enough to be seated at the enormous table reserved for larger groups, which felt like we had our own private dining area. A friendly visit from the Australian owner and a complimentary round of limoncello completed what was a very memorable experience.

Everything here is amazing! All the staff is so friendly, Mbok Juli always serves us with a heart-warming smile. Even the owner, Mr. Jonathan and Mrs. Monica, and Ms. Eve, the manager also welcomed us warmly. The view and atmosphere on the upstairs is very calming and majestic. Even though this place is in Ubud, it is far from the hustle and bustle. The food here is very delicious. The vegetarian fettuccine is so creamy and tasty, I really recommend to try it, also the strawberry lemonade is very refreshing. And don't forget to order the tiramisu that has a very, very authentic taste! Highly recommend this place to have dinner or hang out!!

The setting is very comfortable and the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff are super friendly too! We were welcomed with some complementary finger foods and seated at a lovely open window. There are two downsides. It's very popular, so you might need to book or wait in a line if you're going at a peak time. Also, their menu is quite limited with choices. The food they do have is scrumptious - unquestionably top 3 with respect to pizzas in Ubud but not the most friendly on the pocket.

Hidden gem on busy street just north of Ubud. 5-7pm Happy hour 2 for 1 cocktails or wine - great value. The tempura vegetables entree and “Pinocchio” wood fired pizza (caramelised leek, candied lemon, bocconcini & feta - amazing combination!) were excellent.

Dumbo is a vegetarian restaurant and bar that serves Italian style food and pizzas from an amazing wood fired oven. Prices reflect the quality of the food. The decor and ambiance are amazing. The downstairs bar is decorated with records. The upstairs restaurant has brick and wood features, a disco ball style light, graffiti style paintings on the wall. Seating was comfortable. The restaurant played retro tunes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pizza oven fires up at 5pm. I will try the pizza on my next visit.

Such great pizza, cocktails and tiramisu. This is some of the best pizza I have had in the world, fresh and well thought out ingredients with such well cooked wood fired bases. Candied lemon on a pizza- who would have thought! Highly recommend and hope to be back again on another trip to Ubud.

I loved it overall but certain things need improvement. 😇 I absolutely loved Pelmeni dumplings with jackfruit&mushroom which came with sour cream and butter sauce! 10/10 but i was dissappointed by the stirloin steak i ordered :( first one came completely cold and when i told the waitress it was cold, she immediately took action and they served me another one, second time the food was served warm but the meat was not as juicy as i was expecting but overall the staff was very welcoming, they seemed relaxed and friendly. Also the place has a cozy vibe, especially in the evening! They have a lot of different options to eat&drink. Thank you!

Excellent spot for any time of day. Their menu is so wide ranging that no matter what you are craving they probably are serving it. Never had a bad meal here over our month long stay in Ubud. Service is great. They bring the card reader to you when you check out if paying by card.

I loved my experience at KAFE. The staff were very polite and welcoming. I enjoyed my tandoori chicken wrap and lemon, ginger and honey elixer. They have good wifi and two floors of seating, I was able to get a 5 hour work session done peacefully. Highly recommend the spot.

I love Kafe! I would come almost every morning during my stay in Ubud and sit on the cushions and drink matcha and read a book. I will definitely miss here but excited to come back when I'm ever in Ubud again. Highly recommend!

This is my favourite cafe in Ubud. It consistently serves good meals in an unpretentious setting. The vibe is very down to earth. The staff are attentive and relaxed. I never feel a trip to Ubud is complete until I’ve eaten here.

Donna was truly an amazing dining experience for us. The dishes were delectable, cocktails & coffee were palatable and hospitality was incredible. We were warmly welcomed and treated by the staff. My wife has a severe peanut allergy and this is the first place in Bali that catered for it and cared. The food was also absolutely phenomenal. I’m not even joking. Each dish was instagrammable and the taste was second to none. The service is worthy of Michelin star. Well done to all the staff that work there. It’s an amazing place and I can’t wait to come back before we leave. The drinks were sensational too. Honestly I can’t rate this place highly enough. Thank you once again for an amazing meal. My wife will talk about this his for decades, and so will I. If you’re in Ubud you MUST have a meal here.

Excellent tasting and well presented food at a reasonable price. I would personally recommend the Tasmanian Salmon and definitely the Donna dessert. Table next to us were celebrating a birthday and the other side came to celebrate their last night in Bali. It is a special venue. Be sure to book in advance as it os very popular and we could not get a table when we tried to book the first time.

Had good dinner but the weather was so hot and humitted so hard to forcus on food. I had vegetarian menu and it was very nice but for me, it was little bit oily( grilled vegetables ). When you are bit tired of Balinese food, here is good to try. in Bali it is so hard to find the place under the air conditioner, and need to worry about mosquitoes all the time can not pay attention to food :(

Full of flavor but so well balanced flavors. We finished with the cream brûlée and tiramisu. We were in heaven! Later on we went upstairs for some Shisha. Bold flavors with light clouds of smoke. The place has a beautiful vibe. The atmosphere, the music and the attentiveness of the staff. Thank you and we will definitely revisit.

Their service was impeccable – attentive, friendly, and always smiling. We booked a suspended daybed with prepaid credit, and what an experience it was! We enjoyed a delicious lunch right on our daybed, then relaxed on the pool loungers – the perfect combination. The atmosphere was elevated by a talented DJ spinning amazing afro house beats all afternoon. Pure bliss! Here’s a pro tip: We didn’t use our entire prepaid amount, so we gave the difference as a tip to the incredible staff. They were so grateful, and honestly, they deserved every bit of it for the exceptional service. I highly encourage everyone to do the same if you find yourself in this situation – these hardworking people truly make your experience unforgettable. The suspended daybed, the stunning infinity pool with its lounge area, the music, the food, and above all, THE STAFF – everything was perfection. Don’t think twice – book your daybed at Jungle Fish. Relaxation at Its Best ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an amazing time relaxing by the pool — the surrounding nature and peaceful atmosphere are truly refreshing. The food is excellent with plenty of options, and the cocktails are served with great style. The shallow lounging area in the pool is a brilliant touch. The staff are kind, attentive, and always ready to help. A perfect place to unwind!

Beautiful day in the jungle and rice fields, massive big infinity pool surrounded by sundeck chairs, bar and lounges but the food has unfortunately a big let down! Music just ok during the day.

Mudru Café in Ubud is absolutely perfect all around. I went for breakfast and was blown away by how beautifully presented everything was — especially the breakfast bowl, which was both fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, with a lovely mix of modern style and Ubud’s relaxed charm. The coffee was excellent, rich and perfectly made, adding to an already great experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit even more enjoyable. It’s easily the best place I’ve visited for breakfast in Ubud, and I’d definitely go back again next time I’m in town.

Went to try the viral smoothie bowls. Disappointed overall. The chai tea was watery by my standards The smoothie bowl is a bit of a texture nightmare due to lack of toppings, I struggled to finish it as it was basically slop after the first few bites. - for the smoothie suggestion is actually to reduce the amount of the smoothie for better topping/smoothie ratio in turn you could charge less. And my personal preference is a thicker smoothie so adding ice while blending. I will say the rest of the menu looked nice and service was fast and pleasant plus the venue was also gorgeous

My experience at this place was incredible. All the food was delicious, and the service was very good. It was a bit inconvenient to have to pay somewhere other than at the table. I love that they offer different activities and that music is included. In this same space, I also joined a women’s circle, which made it even more special.

I had the best pancakes I've ever had at Mudra Cafe. I highly recommend the purple potato ones. The hot chocolate was also truly excellent. One of the best breakfasts I've had in Bali. The only downside is the wait time. We waited at least 30-40 minutes for these pancakes, but let's just say they were worth it.

Super cute restaurant with plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. The drinks are not only fancy, but the menu is quite unique among the other places we visited in the area. According to my friend, they got the best taro she's ever had!

The place is beautiful, staff is really nice. I feel the prices are a bit high, but the food was good. I had a smoothie Bowl and it was good. My partner had the "tapas" breakfast and it really wasn't worth it, better to order from the normal menù.

Great place right off a quiet street. Nice dining at the back in the garden facing the hotel. The nasi goreng was very local and delicious. The tuna bowl was refreshing and delicious. And the fruit bowl was fresh and sweet.

Seriously the best restaurant I ate at in Bali. We stayed at Dinara Hotel and they included breakfast from Melali. You can order a healthy and delicious breakfast with choice of coffee or tea and fruit juices. Everything was fresh and rivals the best brunches I have had in L.A.

This place was a pleasant surprise! I was one of the first to enter around 12:00pm. The weather wasn’t great but that didn’t stop the amazing service that I received. Staff was 10/10. Sun lounger was 150,000 rupiahs. It came with pool towel and welcome drink. This place is truly a hidden gem located in a busy area near the Monkey Forest. If you want time to relax at the pool this is the place to be. I really liked that they had a swim up bar. Also on the other side of the pool near the sun loungers they had stools & tables in the pool. I spent most of my time on the pool float. Every day club needs one of these! Highly recommend this place!

My 12yo and I were spending a day in Ubud, so I Googled places to swim and found Folk. For $5 you get a towel and access to the pool. This is a special venue. The food is cheap and so fresh - it’s a blessing to be able to swim, grab a cheap and tasty meal, and beer in a beautiful garden. (There is no need to pay for a pergola, the seating is comfortable and naturally shaded).

An amazing place, seemingly out of a dream. We stumbled on it by chance and felt immediately welcome by Made (the manager). The food and drinks were all delicious, and the service was both extremely nice and impressively professional (shoutout to Nadya!). We didn't have our swim suits so we came back the night after and had another great time at the swim up pool bar, entertained by the barman Suar (aka "The Machine"). We wish we could bring the whole place back home! Definitely a must-go.

This restaurant comes with a pool and served outdoor cinema in the night without minimum payment. Outdoor cinema is not always there every night, you need to check their instagram or website for the schedule. Unfortunately, there's a live music bar located in front of this restaurant which music is disturbing the movie. But i guess there's nothing they can do about that. Hope they can have more seating with better chair in front of the screen.

We loved this place so much we went back numerous times during our stay. And I tend to be picky. I imagine though if it was busy, it might be a different experience. Folk is an awesome oasis in the middle of Ubud. This was my experience. It has really good, interesting food, very attentive and friendly service and a lovely pool area with much more interesting cabanas than most of the beach clubs elsewhere. The ONLY downside is the cocktails. They're a bit too uniform, they need some layering of the elements to give them a little more interest. The bar has a few seats in the pool so you can swim up to the bar and sit in the pool. The small tapas that you get free when you pay for entry is really very delicious. All the food was delicious... And interesting. We were consistently impressed with everything we tried.

Our experience dining at Aperitif Bali was incredible! Furthermore, the service provided by the lovely staff took the experience to another level. A special shout out to Ayu, our table concierge. She was attentive, explained the menu very well, and made us felt truly special. The menu was a gastronomical adventure worthy of its setting and location. We tasted dishes that were adventurous, complex, delicate, yet tasted so familiar to our Indonesian palates. The drink list is nothing short of remarkable. If you can’t find it here, you won’t find it anywhere else in Bali. However, it’s the little things that make this experience such a memorable one for us: We were the only lunch reservation that day and they opened just for us. They had a selection of steak knives from different countries and they wanted us to choose one for our Venison Wellington dish. I have been to a lot of restaurants all around the world, but this is the first time ever, where I had to choose my own knife! They printed our chosen 7-course degustation menu with our names on it as a memento for us to take home. It was our wedding anniversary that day and they served a special anniversary cake for us, together with a beautiful handwritten card signed by the entire kitchen and floor staff, including the chefs! It’s truly a 5-star dining experience and we highly recommend dining at Aperitif Bali to elevate your Bali culinary journey, whatever the occasion.

Had the most wonderful time celebrating my friend's birthday at Aperitif. We booked the private dining room, and every arrangement was perfect. The food was exquisite, the service was impeccable, and the venue itself is stunning. The manager was incredibly helpful and friendly during our WhatsApp communication in the lead-up to the event. A truly special touch was the personalized menu they created for us with our names on it, finalized after we made our choices upon arrival. It's these extra details that show how much they care about creating a unique experience. I cannot recommend Aperitif highly enough for a special occasion. Thank you for making our celebration so memorable.

This was honestly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was pure perfection. The staff were so kind and attentive — you can really feel how much they care about creating a special evening for every guest. But the food… absolutely incredible. Every course was a masterpiece, beautifully presented, perfectly balanced. Every single dish was a surprise in the best possible way. You can tell that so much thought, creativity, and passion go into every single dish. Each plate felt like a little journey on its own, both visually and in taste. The 7-course menu was a real culinary adventure and the wine pairing made it even more special. The wines were truly unique combinations I’d never have imagined, yet they matched the dishes flawlessly. It’s definitely worth adding the pairing; it elevates the entire experience. It’s rare to find a place where every detail, from the service to the plating to the final bite, feels so intentional and refined. I left completely amazed and already can’t wait to come back.

If Bali has a fancier restaurant than Apéritif, we haven’t found it. NB, as part of the Viceroy Hotel, this place has the only helicopter pad we’ve seen. Notice also Art Deco motifs merging with a colonial fantasy of Bali in the 1930s, when it was still ruled by the Dutch. Black and white tiles are typical of the era, okay, but the pattern also alludes to Balinese Hinduism, which acknowledges good and evil as equal parts of life, and life works best when in balance. We reserved an early table to take advantage of ambient light before sunset, but it was hardly necessary. Apéritif is well lit to feature the extraordinary cuisine. This is fine dining with nothing held back. The menu follows the phases of the moon, and all the plates are also shaped like the moon. The staff are marvelously well-trained and in typical Balinese style willing at all times to pause and explain what’s going on. The wine collection is world-class, and considering transportation and taxes, prices are very reasonable, but after a couple of fascinating cocktails that blended classic expressions with Balinese accents, we chose the wine pairing, which was magnificent, both in selections and in the pairings themselves, which were remarkably intelligent, not to mention synergetic. Sommelier Jean-Benoit Iselé has taken full advantage of APÉRETIF’s extraordinary cellar and doubtless collaborated closely with chef Nick Vanderbeeken to evoke every possible nuance. I’m running out of words, but this experience brings to a close our quest for authentic Bali. The power of this ancient anomalous civilization, now almost completely subsumed by tourism, has been raised to pure art here at Apéritif, absent apology, but glowing with respect for the very best.

Spoilt with the 10-course degustation tasting at one of Bali's finest restaurants - here at Apéritif. Themed with the phases of the moon, our multi-course meal featured specially crafted dishes designed to showcase the chef's creativity and highlight Balinese signature ingredients. It was a comprehensive culinary experience about much more than just taste, which was amazing! It's more a focus on sensory appreciation than just filling your stomach - which is what I usually do. :-) Highlight for me was being offered a choice of knives from all around the world, with each coming with an explanation. I of course chose the Balinese traditional knife! The showmanship of the 3 hour meal was all the entertainment we needed for the evening. Blew my mind! And tastebuds. Staff are so helpful in explaining each part of the experience. Definitely the place to bring loved-ones or special guests if you plan to show off Bali, or truly spoil someone - or just spoil yourself :-)

Each dish is thoughtfully curated and beautifully presented, with textures and flavours that both challenge and delight the palate. The wine and champagne list is extensive, carefully curated and balanced with selections from all over the world, offering options at every price point. There are plenty of choices to perfectly complement each course – whether you choose the pairing menu or select your own glass or bottle from their impressive range. I was fortunate enough to dine during a Friday lunch sitting. The restaurant’s presentation is just as memorable as the food, featuring a sophisticated monochrome design with a modern European–French influence that flows seamlessly through to the bar and terrace. Personally, the standout dishes for me were the King Prawn and the Venison Wellington, Chef Nic’s signature dish – both absolute must-tries. Aperitif is not just a meal, it’s an immersive culinary journey that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking the very best of fine dining in Ubud.

It’s a small, very nicely appointed, two level dining room, right on MFR. We sat upstairs, which was a little quieter. We grazed on oysters, king prawns, octopus carpaccio, burrata cheese and barramundi. The highlights were the octopus and the king prawns, the least interesting were the oysters. The romesco sauce was a little overpowering. We had a bottle of wine which they kept chilled in a wine bucket, so didn’t try any of their cocktails. Service was very attentive and friendly, and I would consider the value as excellent.

Delicious food at PASIR last night, came here after seeing the menu that reminded me of great food I’d eaten in Israel, hoping for the same kind of tastes and quality and I was not disappointed! Two of us had two small plates, two from the garden plates and one pain and it was a huge amount of food! Each dish was delicious but I especially liked the hummus with crispy chickpeas, and the roast baby potato dish. Cocktails were equally yummy. Only slight downside was that we were taken upstairs as we had booked and there was no one else up there! So atmosphere a bit lacking, would have been better to sit downstairs where it was busier

INCREDIBLE INCREDIBLE ON EVERY ASPECT! After a couple days of Asian food, some Mediterranean/European cuisine was much needed and we couldn’t hit it better… Everything was delicious and bargain-priced. One of the best dinners in Bali, if not the one.

Visited in May 2025. Bali. Ubud. Nestled just a short distance from Ubud's bustling center and the playful antics of the Monkey Forest, lies Pasir Ubud, a charming eatery adjoined to a local hotel. The interior boasts a bright and airy ambiance, cleverly maximizing the space, and thoughtfully utilizes natural materials throughout the décor. FOOD: The menu, while concise, hints at a Mediterranean influence with a notable emphasis on seafood. It's divided neatly into sections featuring appetizers, main courses, and delectable desserts. Eager to sample a variety of offerings, we opted to focus on the appetizer selection. We began with the pasta, featuring prawns and a bisque. The pasta itself possessed a pleasingly smooth and delicate texture, cooked to the very edge of being overdone - although I confess, I generally prefer a more pronounced "al dente" bite. The sauce, however, was a triumph. A rich and intense prawn and seafood flavor permeated every strand, leaning towards a subtle creaminess rather than a dominant tomato base, and demonstrating a masterful balance of flavors. Next came the baked oysters, presented with a duo of intriguing sauces. We were particularly impressed by the consistency and structure of this dish. The oysters were tender, thoroughly infused with the flavors of the sauce, and blessedly free of any excess moisture - a true testament to the chef's expertise. Sadly, the white fish ceviche proved to be less successful. The fish possessed a somewhat peculiar texture and a disconcerting tendency to fall apart. It appeared the fish fibers had been damaged, possibly due to improper thawing techniques. Furthermore, the dish lacked any discernible acidity, resulting in a flavor profile that was decidedly bland. For dessert, we indulged in the coconut crème brûlée. While enjoyable, I confess I yearned for a more robustly caramelized crust of burnt sugar, echoing the iconic crispness of the original crème brûlée. The custard itself was smooth, creamy, and free of any unwelcome graininess. SERVICE: The service was both attentive and efficient. Our order was taken promptly, and the staff demonstrated exceptional problem-solving skills. When we expressed our disappointment with the white fish ceviche, we were graciously offered a complimentary dessert, a gesture greatly appreciated and reflective of a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction. VERDICT: Overall, we were thoroughly charmed by the cuisine and ambiance at Pasir Ubud. Almost every dish we sampled was delicious and brimming with its own unique personality. If you find yourself in Ubud, I would wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this delightful restaurant.

Service was impeccable as always - each dish was explained carefully to us. However 4/5 dishes we ordered were disappointing despite so many raving reviews! We were looking forward to this meal but it was definitely a let down - of no fault to the servers so we told them it was great regardless. The only dish we enjoyed were the Lombok Scallops. Grilled Octopus was overcooked and chewy and very bland. Lacked any sort of flavor whatsoever and the same with the Beef Cheek.. Octopus Carpaccio wasn’t horrible but wasn’t anything special either and the same with the Prawn Bisque Tagliatelle. Didn’t live up to the hype for us unfortunately.

Try to get a reservation to secure your spot. I came previous night but it was booked out. Looked good, so had to try. The feta dip with flatbread was really good. Asparagus was well flavoured. Spaghetti surprisingly good and grilled octopus was tender and had good sauce. Coconut panna cotta could have done with more sugar caramelisation at top though. Overall- worth it

Beautiful place and good food! Busy place next to the street, not cheap but the execution of the food, presentation and taste were outstanding. Highly recommended when in Ubud! Make sure you have reservation so there will be no wait. My favorite was the rib eye steak, medium rare and it was extremely juicy and delicious! A must try 😊 although they have to work on their fish dishes as some were overcooked. Too much cumin with some of their appetizers.service was excellent though.

Honey & Smoke in Ubud is a must-visit! The vibe is trendy and upscale, with amazing food and great service. Yes, it’s a little pricey, but the flavors, presentation, and execution are absolutely worth it. We ordered four small dishes and one entrée to share, and it was the perfect amount for two people. Every bite was full of incredible flavor. I highly recommend making a reservation since it gets busy, and you definitely don’t want to wait. Highly recommended when in Ubud — I absolutely loved it!

Incredible grill - the best meal we’ve had in Ubud. We did the ‘Feed Me’ menu and they let us swap one of the dishes on there. All the dishes were so well thought out, really sophisticated and amazingly balanced. 5 ⭐ experience all around

We stopped by here after not being able to get a table at Donna or Pasir (which I’d recommend trying). The restaurant itself looks really nice—stylish and inviting—so we decided to sit down for some small plates and cocktails. Unfortunately, both the food and drinks were disappointing. The only dishes I genuinely enjoyed were the romesco and scallops. The vine leaves were just okay, while the tuna crudo was oddly prepared and not something I’d order again. The two cocktails we tried were also pretty average. What made the experience worse was the service—our server came across as condescending and hovered over the table, which made the whole meal feel uncomfortable. Overall, a letdown despite the lovely setting.

Cocktails and food were exquisite with generous portions. The lamb shank was cooked to perfection. Service was very attentive. We preferred sitting upstairs as the seating area downstairs is off the busy road.

The food was great. The scallops and the zucchini flowers were so good (I don’t even eat zucchini in the first place but I loved it). The first steak that we like around bali.

The food was delicious - we had the hummus and bread, carrots, and cauliflower to share, and I had the ragu for my main, which I would highly recommend. My friends had the fish skewers, and fried chicken and strawberry pavlova, which they said were all very tasty. The staff were very nice and helpful. The seating was a bit uncomfortable but otherwise the vibe of the restaurant is nice. The food also has a lot of garlic in, which I could taste for hours afterwards, but in future I would just ask for this to be reduced. Overall, still the best meal I had in Ubud.

It was super quiet and we nearly didn’t go but so glad we did. The food was delish! we got the dips (the herbed was divine), halloumi (kinda basic but still nice) and the eggplant (soooo good) They have great wines as well which is kinda harder in Bali. The service is a bit slow is the only thing but I guess not rushed? Would definitely recommend for a girl dinner or date 😁

There is no flaw in Bacari. Undeniably the most cool & chic place in Ubud. Exceptional wines and especially unique cocktails, that make you question the pop beverages that you so much enjoy on a regular. Out of small plates, chicken liver pate is my most favorite, sourdough and buratta thingy is as well great. The whole menu is well thought of and there are options for any preference. Ambiance is sexy, dimmed and the music fits the venue perfectly. No cringy tracks. Great for those who are looking for a spot for a first date or a stylish girl get–together. The most important thing about this place, is from the moment you enter it, you know it was created by someone with deep knowledge and passion. Almost.. obsession ? P.S. Great painting, would steal.

Such a nice spot for date night. Cozy lights, beautiful interior, and very good wine selection. The service felt personal without being too much. The tapas menu is impressive too but we could not try much as we had somewhere else to go for dinner. But next time we will definitely come to try. We absolutely LOVE Galle, it has become our go to for a consistently delicious meal. The space itself is gorgeous, really nice ambience and the staff are so kind and attentive. Our favourites are the halloumi, the pumpkin, chicken curry and yellow rice ~ though it’s very hard to narrow down and I don’t doubt everything else would be equally delicious! A must try if you’re in Ubud.

Galle Club in Ubud is an absolute delight! The food here is a beautiful fusion of Sri Lankan and Indian flavors — perfectly balanced, rich, and full of depth. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic spices yet never overpowering — just the right blend of heat, aroma, and freshness. You can really taste the care and passion that go into the cooking. The presentation was lovely and the atmosphere warm and welcoming — a great mix of cozy and vibrant. The staff were so friendly and made the whole experience even better. If you’re in Ubud and craving something flavorful, soulful, and memorable, Galle Club is a must-visit.

Had the honor to dine here with my wife & vegan class. Galle is indeed a must try when in Ubud especially if you're trying to tick off that Sri Lankan Cuisine curiosity. From its well ventilated dining area, their accommodating staff & friendly owner -- Shrey, you will surely be transported to his roots. The food was scrumptious and well thought off. The ambiance indeed elevated the experience as well. Looking forward to my next visit.

We were looking for an Indian restaurant while on a visit to Ubud and Galle Club stood out in our search. Our only regret is we did not try it earlier as we would have come again! The service is warm and place took us back to Galle in Sri Lanka. We tried the Lamb curry and it was very good even though we wished it could be more spicy. The prawn appetiser was not what i expected but it was so good we ordered another one. We came a bit early but I only wish the lighting was a bit brighter but i think they are going for a more intimate aesthetic. Good job to Gusde and team for looking after us.

Did a little research before arriving in ubud and stumbled across this place online. I instantly knew I had to visit as I really loved travelling Sri Lanka, especially Galle. I went for lunch today and loved the design and details of the place, the food was great and the berry smash drink was a taste explosion! The owner was very friendly, we had a lovely chat about Sri Lanka and he told me the secret to making the berry smash drink as well as giving a complimentary iced coffee. Hope to go for dinner next time I’m in ubud. 🥰

It was a flavor adventure! Every bite was a happy surprise. It was so delicious,the egg yolk makes it even creamier, and i like all both of them, When I eat it, it reminds me of my childhood memories in Singapore, where my parents liked to take me to restaurants or eat my mother's curry dishes. A Must-Visit! Quaint and charming, this place is perfect for your fix of soulful food. You can immediately tell that every dish is made with quality ingredients and great care — no corners are cut, and the attentive (yet never intrusive) service makes you feel extra special. If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be this sweet potato gnocchi. I have literally never eaten anything yummier in my life. I have fallen in love. Great vibes at this place too. Love that it’s quite a high-end busy road but there’s gorgeous foliage covering the street so it all feels a bit more luxurious and spacious. Lovely art inside too!

Our favourite Bali restaurant!! We ate here a few times and tried the local cuisine, European fare and afternoon tea with cake. Just delicious! They have an extensive menu, staff are so friendly and the restaurant is a beautiful setting, with gardens and ponds set back from the road. The oldest restaurant in Ubud. Just marvellous!!

Went back twice just for the Nasi Campur, definitely by far the BEST I've had in Bali and the portion size is great not to mention the price. Chocolate milkshakes are fantastic. Thai spring rolls and beef burgers are well worth the try. We sat out the back both times, the surrounding gardens, fishpond are so beautiful. Service is very attentive and friendly. Well done to the owner and management! Don't change a thing.

Deceiving looks from the front but this traditional Bali style Cafe is huge with charming numerous dining areas. Great selection of traditional Balinese style food and European choices. Gorgeous private dining areas at the back. Good service and tasty dishes. Our food was great with service to match. Lot of history associated with this Cafe.

The food was not good, we ordered skewers and it was hard to bite…. Only the duck & pirate dish was acceptable, the others are simply plain and too sweet… If you seat at the garden, be prepared there are a lot of ants climbing to your plate.

Highlight meal in Bali!! Everything from the setting, to the food quality and quantity, to the prices is all sublime. Nasi Campur was a fantastic way to sample a number of different authentic dishes. The plate was huge, every element packed with flavour and presented wonderfully. If you are lucky enough to be in Ubud then do yourself a favour and pay a visit here.

If you're vegan, you don't want to miss this amazing restaurant! The place is stunning, the menu is full of options, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff is attentive to detail. I went there as a solo traveler and I loved the food (including the gelato) and the whole experience.

Did a quick stop for drinks and already want to come back. Ambience and decor was amazing. It’s very immersive with a koi pond and variety of places to sit and relax. Got the lemon drop tonic and chocolate latte, both tasted fresh made with local ingredients. I like how they separate the simply syrup so you can customize the sweetness level for the latte and have vegan milk options. Would recommend!

Yummy food, very beautiful and peaceful place. Only 35 euro for 3 people each had a starter and main dish, drinks and even a big bottle kombucha. We had a vegan, a fish and meat eater, all happy. Update: unfortunately I had Bali belly after the vegan wrap. It never digested even not the next day, I had diarrea all the time and than I gave up and throw up the wrap. How it’s possible not to digest by the next day, it’s really amazing. Had painful cramps and many many gasses… I’m very sorry about it because I really liked the place so much🥺

Visited Clear Cafe in Ubud recently, and I absolutely fell in love with the space! So good to be back! Been in love with Clear Cafe for a few years so happy that the food, service and ambiance are as good as I remember. It’s a heaven for vegetarian and vegan but I believe omnivore can find something that they enjoy too.

The location is wonderful. Such a beautiful, peaceful, and welcoming place. We came here for breakfast, and I had the matcha lattes and a "Dragon Flight" smoothie bowl. It was truly delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful. The perfect place to start your day off right.

Was excited to try this place from all the great reviews. The restaurant is in an alley that doesn’t allow cars to go through. The atmosphere and aesthetic were cute. The food though…presentation was great, but taste…bland. We orders chicken sate, soto ayam, nasi campur, and nasi ayam sambal mata. Everything we ate was lacking flavor. We had to order extra sambal just to give the kick that we were craving. The chicken soup had a hint of lemongrass and spice, but not enough to satisfy our taste buds. If you’re looking for ambience and good looking food, this place is 5 stars. But if you want tasty flavorful food, I would not recommend.

This is one is the best restaurant to enjoy authentic Balinese food. The taste is just awesome and yummy. We went there for dinner. This restaurant is quite famous that why there is a huge queue of people waiting for tables in front of the restaurants in peak hours. We had to wait a little bit longer as we requested the tables facing the street so that we can get view of street while having our dinner. We ordered Mie Gorang (Veg and chicken noodles), it was very tasty. The price is also reasonable as compared to other restaurants.

Nice little Warung in the city of Ubud. The popcorn chicken with curry sauce is nice. If you look for a little spicy sauce you need order «Merah sauce». Pork ribs are nice as well. You also got a lot of veggies side dishes that are really yummy and tasty.

If you want to try local food in Ubud, thats the right place. We tried 7 different dishes and two large bintang beers for only 280 rupiah. It is a small place, a popular one, thats why finding a seat is not very easy. Service is a little bit slow, waitresses are kind. Overall I was very satisfied with the experience. Very delicious, clean, authentic local food.

Crowded, menu is chaotic and hard to read, and staff are rude. Chicken satay was fried, was mainly made of fatty skin the peanut sauce tasted like oil. 0/5. The chicken mi goreng had two small pieces of chicken in the whole meal. When we told the staff about it and asked for more chicken they coldly took it away, dumped a few token pieces and mixed it in. Then gave us terrible service after that and we could tell they were talking about us. To their credit, the tempe dish was quite nice though. We felt extremely rushed and plates were taken from us without having swallowed our final bite. We left immediately.

It took a while for the food to arrive. The taste was okay nothing really mind blowing, but still pretty good. I wish they played some authentic music instead of the basic usuk pop 😩

A charming place for any time of the day. The food is very good, especially the breakfasts - there are many options and all delicious. They also offer a wide variety of dishes for lunch and dinner, and the truth is that everything is great. The attention is another strong point: the waiters are very friendly and attentive, always with a smile. Especially Ririn, one of the waitresses, who makes the experience even more pleasant with her sympathy and excellent treatment. Without a doubt, a place where it is nice to return again and again. Watercress Ubud is the place to be on a Saturday night! The live music creates such a great vibe, lively but not overpowering, perfect for a relaxed evening. The waiters here are a rare gem: super attentive, genuinely friendly, and they actually know the menu. Their recommendations were spot on, making it easy to try dishes we might have otherwise missed. We kicked off the night with a refreshing cocktail (highly recommend doing the same!), and everything that followed was just as impressive. Bonus points for their kids’ drawing menu, such a thoughtful touch that kept our little one entertained while we enjoyed our meal. If you’re in Ubud and want a place with great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere for both adults and kids, Watercress is an easy choice. Can’t wait to come back!

A vegan heaven ✨ If I had 10 stars, I'd put them. The food? Mind-blowing. The coffee? First of all, I don't drink regular coffee. And I found here decaf 😭 And it was beyond good. One of the best quality coffees I've ever had. The restaurant? Beautiful. And most of all, quiet. With clients that respect each other. I can't stand anymore all these tourists doing whatever they want such as they are in their living room. And the variety of foods, drinks, sweets? Large. Alchemy was a very, very, very pleasant surprise 🙏💖 (And yes, it's a little bit expensive, but almost same prices you can find in other places with not such quality and variety. It's your choice after all) ☺️

Alchemy is always a reliable choice, whether for tea, lunch, or dinner – even their yoga studio is amazing. I especially love their herbal tea and always buy a pack to take home. This time I tried the Capricciosa pizza for the first time, but it was too salty for my taste. Not sure if that was intentional, as I usually love Alchemy’s food for being simple and mild in flavor.

I had the green curry which was comforting, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. You can tell they use super fresh ingredients. The matcha was smooth, earthy, and no bitterness at all, just the right balance. And the coffee? Rich, aromatic, and satisfying, honestly one of the best cups I’ve had in Bali. The atmosphere is also amazing, calm, open, and beautifully designed, with lovely staff!. Whether you’re vegan, health-conscious, or just looking for genuinely delicious food, Alchemy is a gem.

Alchemy has been my living room while staying in Ubud. As much as I tried or wanted to explore other places, I always come back here because it just feels like home & the staff, menu, variety and experience is just amazing! Highly recommend the salad, green waffle, ice cream and breakfast bar!

The café has a lovely environment, very cozy and beautifully designed. However, the drinks were really disappointing. All the herbal and floral teas tasted strange and unbalanced. The almond milk matcha latte was especially bad, it tasted sour and unpleasant

I wish I could eat every meal here ;) Absolutely loved the creamy mushroom pasta special and omega brownie. The pasta was filling and so flavorful, same goes to the brownie- not too sweet, exactly how I enjoy my dessert. The atmosphere was clean and aesthetic.

One of the best bar kitchen in town. They serve a lot varieties of excellent cocktails. We had a couple visited in September, we had felt enjoyed spent our time to had dinner here. Pay attention staff and better make a reservation in advance.

Ibu Susu in Ubud is an absolute must-visit! The food here is just incredible, bursting with flavour and beautifully presented—every dish we tried left us wanting more. Their cocktails are honestly the best in town (you have to try them all!), and the bar team really knows how to impress. The staff make every meal a delight with their next-level friendliness and warm hospitality. On both of my trips to Ubud, I found myself coming back to Ibu Susu at least four times each visit—that’s how good it is! I’m already looking forward to my next trip back. My absolute favourite is the Snapper Ceviche, which I still crave every day. Can’t recommend this place highly enough!

This is by far one of my favourite places in Ubud! If you're looking for delicious food, the perfect hand crafted cocktails, great atmosphere, topped off with fantastic service, look no further! I am still working my way through their menu, but so far have absolutely loved the chicken wings, steamed buns and dim sum, the red snapper carpaccio is unreal! We had the duck pancakes and the beef randang which were so yummy!!! The pandan crepe and chocolate brulé are the perfect desserts! Ketut and his super team of bartenders and mixologists bring out new flavour combinations with their monthly cocktail specials, plus a great happy hour makes it so easy to keep coming back!! Highly highly recommend!!

While the food and cocktails at IBU SUSU are phenomenal (bartender Agung made me personalized drinks I'm still craving!), it's the staff that truly makes this place exceptional. Indra was our guardian angel for the evening. He greeted us, helped with parking, and provided impeccable, warm service all night. Sambo and Srik were also wonderful. We were amazed that every single team member, from the waiters to the bartenders, had complete and total knowledge of the entire menu. Their expertise is astounding. A final note on the owner, Ketut—he was so involved we didn't even realize he was the owner until the end! That hands-on approach reflects in the incredible service culture here.

I love Ibu Susu. Laid back, great decor and lovely food. You won’t find a better selection of cocktails in Ubud. And I genuinely think the chocolate crème brûlée is one of the best desserts I’ve had - ever (and I’ve eaten in lots of great places around the world!). The staff are very attentive and the food is really tasty. Clearly a place that has had a lot of thought and love poured into it. As Ubud becomes increasingly commercialised, its lovely to see a place that still has an indie vibe!

One of the well-known babi guling spots in the Ubud area. The place is slightly hidden inside (need to walk past the narrow aisle), but it’s quite spacious with a nice greenery view. In terms of taste, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me. The spices weren’t as strong and flavorful for my liking. The fried pork were a bit tough (alot), but the meat is tender and plenty. The highlight was definitely the crispy pork skin - BEST I've eaten. If you come too late, the lawar might be sold out and they will replace it with sayur labu. Oh and the soup is similar with sop sayur with carrots and green beans. The price is quite steep (tax included), and fyi they only accept cash payments.

It’s more the full experience and jungle neighborhood for me. Food very good but I miss the earlier days when there was a bit more grit and green banana leaves gave it that extra feel and taste…highly recommend for tourist experience. Loved the papaya juice! But be so careful with the seriously hot and good sambal!

It was really nice food and it’s my first time to enjoy our barbecue cooling that was like pulled pork it’s very soft and very tasty.

We came around 4pm and it was raining hard we had to move table due to the wind. They have spacious seating with many tables and chairs. Perfect for big groups. The babi guling itself wasn't among my favorites, I still can smell the pork from the meat. But the babi guling goreng was so good tho! Be careful, the bumbu was quite spicy compared to other babi guling. Beware if you're not a fan of spicy food.

The location is perfect for tourists who's visiting ubud. Which is near to the ubud palace and ubud art Market.vehicles will not reach to the property so you have to walk nearly 250 m. But it is good. The property ambiance is perfect for tourists. One side of the restaurant is facing toward the nature that's great and other side is with a fish pond and birds wich gives a cool atmosphere. We ate food after 3pm so the food was not hot at all. Better the want to heat the dish especially the pork meat, so overall food experience was not so great.

So miserable and deflating to see all the cockatoos chained and stressed. Won't support this kind of business. I left this place being stressed at the end. Also got bitten by one cockatoo while I was speaking to a resident next to the restaurant. When I reported this to a restaurant staff, he said "It is okay. I got bitten too." showing his thumb with a permanent scar. It was the resident who helped putting a bandaid for me. No antibacterial ointment prepared. Babi guling taste was average.

Very good Babi Guling. This outlet number 3 is my favorite. It’s a little hard to find but is actually the home of Ibu Oka. Nestled in a very green area.

Tricky place to find especially at night around 8.00pm and not being a local. Around 30 min to find the path. A beautiful view surrounded this Café. The atmosphere must be amazing if they welcome you. Service was really bad from the beginning. The waitress was already unhappy and the first things she told us were close in 20 min. So Hurry up to order, please 😂. Food was good but nothing special. The atmosphere must be amazing during breakfast and lunch.

Easily one of the best places to eat true health food in Ubud - if not the best. All based in organic + coconut oil cooking. So many options all tasty as it gets. The owner is an absolute legend of a human! Brilliant atmosphere to lounge and relax in

They said in the clear weather we can see the volcano from the restaurant, unfortunately i came when it was cloudy, and I couldn't see the volcano, but I still could see the beautiful green scenery. They have indoor, semi outdoor and outdoor area, you can choose with perfect for you. I went there at Nov 2025, and since it was cloudy I choose a semi outdoor. The food is delicious, I had indonesia menu and I loved it. They also have smoothy, healthy food, and indonesia food. The staff also are kind and helpfull, and they served the food quite fast. But, they don't have parking load, you have to come by walk or motorcycle.

Just a short step outside central Ubud, we discovered a magical little neighborhood that felt like another world… The soulful, spiritual side of Ubud I had been hoping to find. Tucked away in a quiet lane, Yellow Flower Café carries that same energy: a soulful vibe, warm and peaceful, with the feeling of a hidden gem. The food was outstanding! The poached eggs with vegetables „The Stack“ were a revelation, and the smoothie bowl was as beautiful as it was nourishing. Everything here feels crafted with care, for both body and soul.

A very beautiful restaurant with amazing views. The food was excellent. The staff were kind and attentive. They went above and beyond to help us out when we were in a major hurry due to some unrelated issues earlier that day. I'm very glad we managed to eat here during our honeymoon. Highly recommended

A local cafe, a peaceful garden in the middle of the jungle. The perfect place to relax and enjoy some good food and coffee. Went there twice during my stay in a Ubud. The 7 Heaven coffee and the Wild orange cake are delicious. The staff is very friendly and kind. I give it 5 stars 🤩.

Loved the sunday evening buffet. IRD150k for all-you-can-eat. All the food was fresh and tasty. Good mix of meat and vegetables.

One of my favourite nights out in Ubud! They had no problem catering to my vegan diet (as the dishes are mostly vegetarian). The staff were amazing and the food was too. Also a great place to have a nice dinner while listening to some great live music. Definitely check this place out!

A small piece of Mexico in the middle of Bali. Staff and owners incredible. Food really nice and delicious not the typical Mexican you can find all over the world. The local divided in 2 different areas, restaurant and bar upstairs. Margaritas just amazing. One recommendation; shrimps and octopus Just one of the best dishes we have enjoyed in Bali!! Really good food. It hit the spot. A little less Mexican and a little more Bali Mexican. So if you are looking for Mexican cuisine check out the taco place in central Ubud, also in my reviews. But some days you want some music, a little western culture and a cool environment. This place hit the spot.

The food was great, the drinks were unique and very good, the espresso martini was amazing. They are also open late unlike anything else in the area. If you're in Ubud looking for something to do after 8 or 9, this is where you should go without question.

Wow! Good, good, good! Had the quesadillas (Easily split for two!) and a burrito. It's all vegetarian, but definitely does not sacrifice flavor or substance! We were both crazy full after our meals and struggled to finish - came hungry too! The welcome drink and snacks were a nice addition! But the service was great superb! I want to go back now!

Loved this place, we went twice while we stayed in Ubud. The vegetarian mexican options were top notch. The civiche options were great too. Live music both nights we were there...it's a 5 min walk from the main area of Ubud, but worth it.

Spectacular New Year's Eve in La exquisitePachamama. Withattention and incredible food they made us enjoy a wonderful experience. A very pleasant atmosphere that led us to enjoy good tequila. Milk & Madu is such a lovely spot for breakfast in Ubud! We ordered the Eggs Brekky, Orchard Bowl, and Madu Pancakes all three dishes were absolutely top-notch, fresh, and full of flavor. The staff were welcoming and courteous, which made the experience even better. The place does get quite busy in the mornings, but the lively atmosphere and cozy ambience make it worth it. Definitely a must-visit in Ubud, and I’d love to come back again!

Absolutely loved our lunch at Milk and Madhu! The service was top-notch – we’re super picky vegetarians (no egg, no fish oil) and Captain Puspa and Novi were amazing, guiding us through the menu without batting an eye. She suggested the Summer Slice Pizza and OH MY GOD – best pizza EVER. I seriously still can’t get over how good it was. Big shoutout to the team for making a Milo Shake for us, even though it’s supposed to be just for kids. That was such a nice touch! We had an awesome lunch and can’t wait to come back soon. Highly recommend this place!

I came here on a Sunday to try their special brunch, and it was such a great way to start the day! I had the cheeseburger with a beer — absolutely delicious and satisfying. Then I couldn’t resist trying the dessert: an apple crumble pie with ice cream. It was simply amazing! I left with such positive vibes and a big smile. The atmosphere here is wonderful- friendly people, great music, and an overall lovely energy. Definitely a place I’d love to come back to:)

We came here based on reviews and had breakfast and dinner. Everything was great. They had breakfast promotions, and it was incredibly crowded. A line formed after we sat down, but it wasn't as crowded that evening, so we enjoyed our meal comfortably. Since we don't eat pork, they offered to swap our menu items for other items, which was very nice. We enjoyed the lasagna for dinner. The ice cream is safe, and the food is delicious. We recommend it.

Nice atmosphere in the morning and in the evening because inside gets too hot at noon (due to big glass windows). You can enjoy great cocktails (you pay one get two during the happy hour). I ordered grilled fish and salad -the portion was a bit small- but it was really delicious. Prices are a bit above average. Service was very fast.

The food here is soo good!! The smash burger was so juicy and flavoursome, and the fries were nice and crispy! My boyfriend got the chicken Parma which was one a deal for 99k, and he thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff were super friendly and even let me do some colouring haha they also offer seltzers on the drink menu which was fun to try! I would definitely recommend to eat and drink at Milk & Madu!!

I had such a great time at Milk & Madu Ubud for lunch!! Juicy, flavorful burger with perfectly crispy fries, plus super friendly and attentive service. The relaxed, open-air vibe with lots of greenery makes it a perfect spot to hang out and enjoy a lazy lunch. Definitely coming back!❤️

Absolutely loved this place! The food was excellent and the coffee was really good too. Prices are very reasonable, which made it even better. We enjoyed it so much, we came back 3 times during our 7-day stay in Ubud. Great variety on the menu. Highly recommended — and we’ll definitely be back again!

Was having the best morning here, having my proper breakfast after arriving in Ubud recently. It was the vibe that I enjoyed the most. Felt so nourished and charged being there for 2,5hr. The team there is a group of attentive people and they served genuinely from the heart. Especially Nana. She was such a sweet lady offering me a loyalty card right away. Happy to connect with her. I’d definitely come back and recommend this cafe🫶

I loved my breakfast it was called the chilli bae and it wasn’t very spicy at all. I then got the carrot cake was unreal it tasted fresh, fluffy and homemade, I highly recommend it! Great service by Febri she was wonderful! Thank you!

We had a yummy breakfast here! There was no line to wait and we got seated immediately. We ordered the green smoothie, breakfast smoothie, two sides of scrambled eggs, the classic pancakes, and the berry pancakes. They were all so yummy! The eggs were perfect and the smoothies were refreshing. I think our favorite was the green smoothie. It was yummy!

Really cute and small here! The staff are very nice and the food was very delicious. I got the tofu scramble which I high recommend. I also tried their sushi and it was very tasty as well.

This place deserve a 6 stars! Many reasons, starting with the staff, they are doing their best to deliver a nice and quick excellent food to customers! That evening?m, the restaurant was full of peeps, and they managed to make everyone happy! The juices were just amazing and I tried the tamarin, felt in love. We also had the vegan or vegetarian sushi as well as the dumplings, just amazing, really! I can feel the taste again while writing this review! Overall it was very cheap for this quality of food. Thanks again for this as I am not vegan or vegetarian myself but I would come back everyday if I was living in Ubud.

I'm probably a bit biased as I'm not a dedicated vegetarian so it wasn't my favourite meal in Ubud. However the price and portion size is excellent. My BF had their Nasi Campur which he gave 10/10.

Just make your way here. No regrets. Vegetarian and vegan mixed rice (Nasi Campur) where you have the flexibility to pick and choose what goes on your plate. A good range of fruit juices and desserts.

Great service, free Wi-Fi, cozy place, reasonable price, great desserts, the miso soup was tasty and warm, the sushi rolls could use more veggie filling, they taste like eating lots of rice. Loved the vegan lime pie and mango coconut pie. Light and cheap and healthy and tasty.

The nasi campur here is awesome! So much taste, and almost all of the options are vegan. The chocolate coconut cake is also very good.

Zest Ubud is a place where you instantly feel at home. The location is simply stunning – surrounded by greenery with a bright, open atmosphere that radiates both peace and inspiration. Every corner is warmly and thoughtfully designed, and you can feel the love for detail everywhere. The vegan menu is impressively diverse and truly delicious – every dish we tried was fresh, creative, and full of flavor. A must-try are the Spicy Corn Ribs and the fruit bowls – both are a perfect 10/10! What we especially loved is that plant-based food here isn’t treated as just an alternative, but as a full culinary experience in its own right. Within only four days we visited twice, simply because we enjoyed it so much – which says it all. The team also makes the experience even more special: the staff are extremely friendly, attentive, and create such a positive vibe. For us, Zest Ubud is definitely one of the absolute highlights in Bali!

Our absolute favorite place in Ubud! We’ve tried so many restaurants and cafés in Bali, sometimes 4–5 a day, but after visiting Zest we didn’t want to go anywhere else. The atmosphere is so unique — it can’t really be put into words, you just have to experience it. We came in the morning, during the day, in the evening, even late at night… and every time the energy felt so special. It’s incredibly cozy and makes you want to spend the whole day there, every day. The restaurant is fully vegan — which for me, as a non-vegan, after the third visit meant there was less excitement in trying new dishes — but still, everything is so unique and creative. And the selection of drinks is just amazing.

The staff and team here are some of the best. They are all super kind, very helpful, and full of smiles!! Great chill music, sometimes great live music. The views are also spectacular!! NOTE to the OWNER; please be aware of guests who sit around all day and take up space who are not ordering food or taking up entire tables with a laptop. It creates a low vibe and encourages a “work vibe”. Maybe make a laptop area only and tell guest who just sit around to kindly be on their way and let other people sit down. I love your concept and beautiful mission. Its a great place and I wish you the best in continued success!

Best vegan food we've had in Ubud. I love that they have so many gluten free options too. Our fave food were the sushi, cauliflower wings (AMAZING) and the pizza. Healthy choices, friendly staff, and nice atmosphere. This place is always crowded with tourists hanging out or working on laptops (in the afternoon). I think both times we visited, once for lunch and once for dinner, we were the only locals :)

It’s a beautiful place with an amazing atmosphere and a fantastic view. They have an all-vegan menu with high protein and recommended meals marked. I had the cacao ceremony with coconut cream on the side an the chickpea omelette. Both were amazing. I enjoyed my experience there a lot.

Stunning venue, and one of the most beautiful set in a restaurant I’ve seen across the globe. The service was very polite but little bit slow, though that’s not an issue in Bali. The whole piece of life is slow. However, the menu is tasty with a really good selection of vegan food yet was really lacking in protein dishes. They pointed out protein boosts to their foods but really needed some more Tempe and tofu on the menu. Highly recommended though.

One of the best meals I’ve had in Bali!! Didn’t even know it was vegan my fist time here and came back a few days later with a huge group. Everyone could not stop raving about how good each meal, drink, and dessert was incredible!! Mushroom parmigiana and the chocolate goddess ball were the favorites for sure! Yulita was our server and she was so lovely, attentive and helpful!! Can’t wait to be back!

Have been to Açai Queen multiple times in bith locations in Ubud and I love it so much. The food itself, the presentation, the place, the staff - everything is perfect. And you get coconut crunch as a snack for every order. This time I even got a small coconut ball that was covered in chocolate. Delicious! Would always come back :)

A mandatory place to visit when you stroll around Goutama Street! The employees are so kind and helpful, I ordered Acai and Americano and tasted so good. They also provide free welcome snack and dessert! You will only experience eating acai and playing in the swing here!

I don’t understand why this is highly rated, the acai smoothie base is nice - but the quantity and the amount of toppings you get js just not enough and doesn’t justify the price at all compared to other places in Bali. They had used quite a bit of sugar on coconut shavings, ruining the authentic coconut flavour - and the peanuts in the peanut butter were over roasted. I personally did not enjoy the entire experience. No doubt the bowl looks aesthetic but the taste doesn’t make the mark.

The acai doesnt taste the best. Not sure why this place is extremely hyped but the amount you pay (also tax and service charge on top of the already expensive prices) doesnt worth what you eat... This place is just good to post cute instagram photos with your fruit bowl sold as acai bowl

Amazing food. Super tasty. I also love the little cards which makes you entertained/ thinking while waiting. Service is also good with little touches. The coconut chocolate at the finish are super delicious too.

I love the atmosphere at night. Breezy and the dim lights give it a cozy feel. The food was all organic and you can taste the realness of the food. The cauliflower was good but not great. The batter wasn’t crispy. My wife loved the burger, but I don’t like sweet burgers. I had the wrap and it was delicious.

Sage in Ubud really impressed me. The jackfruit burrito was absolutely delicious — hearty, flavorful, and satisfying. I also loved the coconut cake — super moist and not overly sweet, a perfect finish to the meal. The space itself is peaceful and beautifully designed.

Came for the coconut cake. Wow!!! So good and perfectly chilled. Ambiance of the cafe was really comfortable and quiet. It was the perfect place to read my book. Came back. Had the jackfruit burrito 🌯 Amazing. The combination of textures is incredible, homemade hot sauce delicious. Coconut cake still divine. Coming back to try more of their food!!! Came back the next day. Got the sweet potato bowl. It should be renamed to cabbage and bean juice soup. There were maybe 6 pieces of potato on my bowl. The refried beans just looked like beans from a can, water included. Ordered the banana pancakes instead, they were yummy. The corn crusted Tempe “Chicken wings” were OK, I really like their homemade hot sauce. Over all the service is good, the employees are kind — I was just really disappointed with the potato bowl. I was expecting more potato, they’re so cheap anyways. I’ve worked in the service industry for 10 years and I don’t complain hardly ever. I respectfully and privately expressed my dissatisfaction. I recognize that I am probably just holding the service to an American standard, but I left a little annoyed how it was resolved after coming here a few days in a row.

One of my favourite vegan spots in Ubud and definitely the most affordable! Their tempeh buffalo wings are insanely good as well as the burritos. Lots of choice of cakes too. Service is extremely quick. Love this place!

My two visits left me with mixed experiences: some meals really struck me (tempeh wings), others were okayish, e.g. cauliflower wings tasted a bit too naughty (too much oil?) and oreo cake was actually just a chocolate cake What I was most disappointed by tho was the coffee: my iced latte turned out to be an iced coffee and tasted somewhat earthy All-in-all just/still a decent vegan place

Came here for a simple lunch and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered the Chicken Banyuwangi—it really stood out with its spicy, tangy, and savory sauce. Loved that the soup was kept warm with a small burner underneath—such a thoughtful touch. Service was warm and welcoming. The 360° view from every seat is absolutely serene, making it easy to relax, even under the midday Ubud sun. Will definitely come back!

We ordered salted egg cassava, but it came as plain cassava. We double-checked with the server, and she said the salted egg was mixed inside. When we asked for extra salted egg sauce on the side, that’s when she apologized, admitting that the chef had forgotten to coat it with salted egg. Overall, the meal tasted good. The pork is highly recommended, but the Tom Yum had a slightly different taste—it was a bit sweet. Still, it’s acceptable since this isn’t a Thai restaurant.

Our visit to Cerita Manisan Ubud was truly memorable. Tucked away behind Pison Ubud, this hidden gem offers a serene ambiance surrounded by lush rice fields and gardens. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring a delightful dining experience. The food was outstanding—each dish bursting with flavor and presented beautifully. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes, providing excellent value for the quality offered. The pricing aligns perfectly with the exceptional taste and ample servings. We will definitely be returning to this remarkable establishment.

A lot of tourists come here, and the food is worth it—especially the mantau, the fried mantau is quite delicious. The place also has a nice view, perfect for taking pretty photos. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait, which is understandable since it’s in Ubud, Bali.

This is the epitome of what you would expect from Ubud, Bali! An exceptionally designed and curated experience from the moment you walk in down the wooden planks flanked by a growing rice field coaxed down towards an inviting rustic Indonesian meets Mexican-esque open air restaurant. Every aspect of this restaurant is well thought out. Seating is orientated for a private dining feel, whilst still accommodating for large groups. This restaurant becomes majestic at night with dimly lit corners creating eye catching architectural design with interior design elements making you feel like you are in a place miles away from the hustle and bustle of the busy Ubud streets. The food and cocktails are exceptional, fusing Indonesian cuisine with exceptionally executed dishes. It isn't easy making simple dishes incredibly memorable, but this place does it! The cocktails are incredible, and the food will leave you amazed at how the chefs, interior designers and the architects have created a spectacular way to celebrate the incredibly deep Indonesian culture from everything from food to the multiple cultural touch points that make Indonesia and Bali a stunningly spectacular place. So many places in Ubud are culturally sanitised for, frankly, an offensively arrogant westerner traveller who only wants bland, western style cafes, but Cerita Manisan defies this western intrusion of beautiful Bali by celebrating EVERYTHING that is Indonesia, from the gorgeous 70's Indonesian lounge music, to the use of volcanic indonesian stone wall art, wood carvings, rice fields, EVERYTHING about this place is empathically and lovingly thought out by a team of people who REALLY know what they are doing from the design of spaces, atmosphere, interior design and of course the food and drinks. Sure, you can visit the multitude of westernised, sanitised and culturally disconnected restaurants and bars in Ubud.... But why would you come to indonesia/Bali and ignore the cultural depth this country has to offer? Do yourself a favour and eat and experience Cerita Manisan at night. A depth of culture celebrated. Perfectly executed. The best restaurant I've ever been to. Anywhere.

The space is beautiful for pictures. Pork belly was tender and sauce was super flavourful! The restaurant itself is a walk back behind pison (there are a couple stairs). And there is valet parking.

Partner restaurant with Alaya Hotel. So we had 10% off deal. Honestly food was excellent we went back so many times till we went through most dishes and got bored at the end. Staff was nice and attentive, however, we had to repeat our requests a few times.. Caramelised Pork dish must try - absolutely delicious!!

Great place for healthy groceries, treats, breads, and a home cooked meal! The food here is cooked to order and uses super fresh ingredients! The menu is very healthy. They dont use seed oils. Very clean and tidy. Peaceful environment. Quality grocery store with a great selection. Plenty of free parking. Good vibes from all the staff! Very professional and helpful. My place to go for best cinnamon roll and carrot cake. I just can't get enough their sweet treats. Not just that, their support for locals suppliers and small businesses, and their dedication for sustainable business are highly appreciated. For halal food seeker, they definitely the trusted one.

Bali Buda is a true classic. At first, we only stopped by to shop at the market, but recently we tried the café — and now I want to come back 1–2 times a week! Everything I’ve eaten here has been both delicious and light. I especially love the balance of vegetables in their bowls, the tasty sandwiches (being able to choose your bread is a nice touch), and their apple crumble cake, which I can never resist. And the Bali coffee is simply amazing — full of flavor, smooth, and never heavy, even if you drink a lot. Also the mint lemonade is a must try. I feel the café deserves a higher rating than some reviews suggest, but of course, taste is personal. For me, it has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Ubud. Plus, you can always find your favorite products — and many more healthy options — in their mini market afterward.

We got the Super Berry and Dosha Balancing smoothies. They were so delicious that we ended up ordering two more drinks. Their fresh lemonade drinks were amazing as well. They also have a Muslim prayer room!!

The quality of the products was very good, but the air conditioning was barely on (set to 28°C) on a very hot and sunny day. We were sweating while waiting for our breakfast, which made the experience quite uncomfortable and not up to the usual Bali Buda standard. Disappointed.

I always been love Bali Buda since first time I arrived in Ubud in 2013, I am loyal customer since 😀 But I never write review, I thought I must. I had viral infection 2 days ago and decided to go to Bali Buda and asked staff what is your recommendation for me, and he suggested me anti biotic natural they made themselves, and the day after all my symptoms disappeared so quick, early morning I could finally get rid of mucus that was stuck inside my throat and made the inflammation. Afterwards my body felt light and much better instantly. Thank you 🙏🏻 If You have viral infection or flu get this drink I highly recommend you. It is called NATURAL ANTIBIOTIC.

We ate here yesterday. The food is just amazing. We ordered a wet burrito, soft tacos, nachos, quesadillas and it was just amazing. Never felt so full. Everything was great and highly recommend this place.

We had a very nice late lunch, served by a lovely staff. The food was tasty and plentiful. I have a veggie wet burrito, usually served with cheese but I asked to have it taken off, and my boyfriend had carne asada quesadillas. Both were great and we left full and satisfied. Went there few times, and came back again after awhile. I had wet Burito and it was still so good. The portion is huge with affordable price. Good quality foods and fresh. Love it The place is nice bright and clean, they also have more space on the second floor. Food - Good taste however not original Mexican. Their Tabasco Chipotle is really good. Other sauces tastes normal. Taco bell sauces still comes on top. Service- fast service Atmosphere- hot 🔥...u can enjoy tacos without air-conditioned.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Ubud! I lived in Ubud for 2 years in 2019, and have been frequently visiting here. And this is still my all time favorite place to go. The staff is friendly, the food is incredibly fresh (always!), the vibe is so nice! I recommend soft veggie tacos, veggie quesadilla, and sizzling beef fajitas. The fajita might feel a bit dry, but add salsa, beans, tomatoes, avocados, and cream wrapped in tortillas, you will experience heaven… so juicy👌And you must try theirs virgin Pina Colada…so good 💖🍹

If you’re craving pizza while you’re in Ubud- or just on the look out for an option that will satisfy your wallet and your tastebuds then this is the place. With solid menu offerings, and being conveniently located along JL Bisma this is a great stop for delicious thin based pizzas. We ordered two standard pizzas, just a mini and a small size - with a couple of drinks and it’s cost us approx <$15 The waiting time was minimal, our drinks were cold, the pizza toppings were generous and the bases crisp. Not much else you could ask for really. Oh, there is also plenty of seating and the staff were attentive without being over the top. It’s a yes from me.

the pizza is better than most pizza in bali but if u r from a country with high quality pizza it probably won’t impress u. credit for offering a cheese option in addition to magaraita. good prices. inside is fan-cooled and spacious but basic. lots of eating options on this road and this is the best pizza one, so not the worst choice. ice cream was good.

We were staying just down the road and each time we walked pass, we’d wonder if the pizza were good. Today, we tried it and yes — so so good! I thought small pizza would be the size of a personal pan from pizzahut but it was so much bigger. Worth the money & worth the fact that it was handmade. Definitely recommend to come here! Get the pepperoni and try it with their chili sauce!

We had lunch there.. The pizzas were super duper delicious! They have small and mini sizes, so I can try many variant variations of the Pizza. The nasi goreng was also good! Definitely will come again here! and try other pizzas 👍

Cute pizza and pasta place in Ubud. Price is super affordable with friendly service. Food was okay and we love the wood fire pizza. Recommended for those looking for easy lunch/dinner place.

Just had one pizza. Played the safe card and ordered Margherita pizza and the marinara sauce, cheese everything was perfect. Totally recommended

The menu doesn’t do justice to the incredible quality of the food! We were truly impressed by the pizza and salads—every bite was a delight. We can’t recommend this restaurant enough! We tried only vegetarian dishes, and each one was fantastic. Pro tip: add extra garlic to the pizza for an unforgettable experience! Lovely staff too!

Edit: we went again and the huge rats hanging around the wood near the oven are a let down , I understand is hard to get rid of them but it could be a major health issue . Food was good but portions specially with the gnocchi’s was too small , as a regular gnocchi eater I felt it was more of a snack than a main dish . Taste was great , price was a little on the expensive side as they don’t provide bread with the pasta and the portions are small

Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, Strawberry daiquiri undrinkable, and food average. I also found a hair in my pasta. Don’t waste your time & money, walk the extra 2 minutes to a variety of way better, cleaner options.

I was craving Italian so we stopped here while shopping. The food was great, portions are a little small but honestly just enough so you don’t overstuff yourself.

Not halal and not good, One of the worst restaurants of ubud, they will say halal but all the food is not halal and their agent will fool you Volcano pizza is looks good but do not taste good. First and last time for me. I went with 21 people and all of the people encounter this worst experience

Despite some reviews here, we enjoyed everything here: balinese pizza and beef steak. Surprisingly well cooked both of them. Pizza cooked in bricks fireplace, wooden fueled. I don't know who grilled the beef, but congratulations to him/her! It was delicious! It melted in my mouth. And all went very good along with a cold Bitang beer! Recommend!

I don’t normally leave reviews but this was probably one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had (meat lovers) ! (We asked for added chillies and was banging) service was great would come back for this pizza 100%

The falafel tastes good, but the portion is really small for the price. There’s too much salad compared to the falafel. Also, the fries were cold, like from yesterday, and soaked in oil. I wish they would add more falafel and take better care in preparing it.

Tried the wrap falafel. It was awesome. The 3 sauces just adds to the flavour. Do try some of their smoothies and juices. The shop is accessible through the Ubud market.

There was too much salad and not enough falafel, tahini sauce, or hummus inside the pita. The pita bread was also not fresh and really needed to be warmed up; otherwise, it doesn’t taste good. Additionally, it easily crumbles in the hand, making it very difficult to eat. I really liked the lemonade with mint, it is refreshing and fresh. Thank you 🙏🏾🌊🌈

Best falafel in UBUD!!! I have no idea how they do not have more amazing reviews!!! Honestly this place is beyond delicious. Fresh. And super duper tasty!!!! They are also some of the sweetest people working there. Most people walk by the place and dont think much since its just an open diner with some chairs. But honestly stop here if you love falafel!!! Service: good and quick Food: very tastee. I had the pocket which come with 3 extras. The portion was filling for me. I had the green tea kombucha the first time. Don't recommend that one because it tasted like vinegar. The chamomile kombucha was quite refreshing. The pocket is 70k and drink 30k. Which is about $7 US.

Very tasty falafel, just the portion could have been bigger for the price which is a little bit higher. And there are just a few places to sit.

Had an amazing lunch at Cantina with my wife, had the Veggie Fries and s Beef Tacos. We found the portions generous and the food amazingly fresh. Service was excellent and got to watch the staff clean and prepare all our food. That was a treat. I rate food establishments on whether or not I will go back. This one is a big YES! Highly recommend this place.

Amazing Taco! We had the most unexpectedly amazing taco in this tiny place in Ubud. It was empty when we arrived and that always makes you a bit skeptical. We first ordered the nachos with guacamole and that was absolutely flawless. We then had the beef barbecue tacos and the dish raised the bar even further. All natural and delicious looking and absolutely epic tast. Our favorite Bali place to eat. Say my name!

We were all craving pizzas and stumbled across this place. We had 3 really yum pizzas that hit the spot perfectly! Super tasty and really well priced. Our server Wayam was very friendly, helpful and attentive!! Would definitely recommend coming here and we will be back for sure!

Wayan and Dewa kd n ulan served us today for dinner, omgggoodnessss!!! The best food ever!!!! The pizza was the best pizza I’ve had in my life, the chicken curry was next level!!! I highly highly recommend coming here, they know how to work flavours and give the best experience for food ever!!!!! So grateful to have eaten here!!! And Wayan is soo kind, he held my baby and played with him so we could all eat too, so thankful 😌 Agung gets a special shout out too!!! He is soo sweet and so kind and has the most amazing energy and honestly made the best pizza and gave great service!!! Highly recommend this place

We finished up late at the monkey forest and walked past Alam Pizza, we were a little dubious at first but decided to give the place a try. This was a great place to grab dinner, it was nice and quiet at the time, all the food was very good, service was great and prices were extremely competitive. They catered for 2 couples, and 3 children meet all our needs with ease. Highly recommended!

Salad was very fresh and simple, surprisingly not so easy to find a good simple salad in Ubud. Pizza was good as well, the sauce was not 100% my taste but overall great place

4 of us had dinner last evening. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Pasta a little hit and miss for us but the Penne gorgonzola and spinach was the best. Pizzas and Caesar Salad was good. We ordered the Calamari Fritti and only 5 pieces of Calamari rings were served with a small salad on the side. Kind of weird to us but didn't ask the waiters about it and just ate. Overall OK place 👍

Pizza and pasta with some Indonesian dishes, Not too fancy, but still delicious. Good service and prices and fun decor, With plenty of seating for two or more. In case the poem review doesn’t do it for you, I found this place very good. Not the best pizza in Ubud and the pesto bruschetta was pretty sad but the pumpkin ravioli was actually pretty good and the pizza was the best looking one I’ve had here. Definitely would recommend for someone needing an Italian food fix.

We got garlic bread to start with, chicken satay and seafood spaghetti. Everything was delicious and food came in reasonable time. It is a bit warm inside but it get better as they do have fans on. Service is really good as well. Recommend to eat here.

Amazing!!! These ladies cook with their heart. Very good food!! My favorite is the Nasi Campur vegetarian with a lot of spicy oil and a fresh coconut. Very very fair prices and so Delicious!!

One of the best, must try, been here 3 times already, though I got to say it’s a bit salty, but the good part is that can finish 3 rice in 1 Nasi Campur. The restaurant is beautiful and cozy, nicely located in the local neighborhood with tranquility

Food was incredible! Best meal we have had in Bali so far! The lady was lovely and the food so so delicious and good portions! Loved the fact that everything was made from scratch. Worth the visit, prices are very good too!!

Great food and fast service! I had a really good meal here — the food was fresh and tasty. The Nasi Campur was especially delicious, and the King Coconut was refreshing. Service was quick too. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

In past 2 days I had Vegetarian options of Nasi Campur and Nasi Kuning (Kuning I had it 3 times in 2 days as I love it so much 😊) both dished delicious, perfect blend of flavour, fast service and I'm pretty sure other dishes are as good. Coconuts are huge. Overall highly recommended for budget friendly flavoursome food.

The food was just average and the portions were not very big. The waiting time was extremely long – it took about 30 minutes for the noodles to arrive, and then another 20-30 minutes before we got the spring rolls. Overall, not the best experience.

Best local food we tried during our two weeks in Bali. Also the cheapest, but don't let the price fool you. The food feels just like your grandmother made it. We went there three nights in a row and the food was always delicious. The owner goes to the market every morning at 6 am to get fresh ingredients. The food is simple but the flavors are amazing. Highly recommend!

Looked online and saw a pretty diverse menu with great ratings, well priced. That’s all you can ask for when going out to eat, right? Attentive staff which greeting us straight away, I would like to think too considering we were the only ones in there at around 5pm. Ice cold glass served with your beers. This is something they NEED to start doing in the UK as it’s very underrated. Food out within 25-30 minutes, which I can understand given the pizzas are made fresh but would be worried if I was coming here and the place was full how long it would take. Diavola said it had “chilli” on it, which I thought it meant fresh chilli, it was crushed red pepper, not the end of the world but need to be a little clearer on the menu. Nonetheless, pizzas were very good and we both enjoyed our pizzas. Pictured are the large sizes. Unfortunately the fries were BAD and I mean bad. I am rare to critique fries because I haven’t found many I don’t like but these were chewy, no potato just skin. Really disappointed with these. Big downside is the air con or lack of. Again, I wouldn’t like to be in there with a lot of people as we were sweating when there was no one in there. I’d give it another chance to make it right on the fries as the quality of the pizza were so good and in the end. That’s what you are there for.

Delicious food and great staff! Pizzas are well made and calzone was yum! Well laid out and has garden seating as well. Nice art and a collection of gorilla figurines. Only reason for dropping one star was because 2 dishes ordered in our group were excessively salty (Curry and Carbonara).
