A Perfect Stay with Stunning Views! My experience at Hotel Seven Hills, Manali was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was top-notch. The location in the map is incorrect. Neighbours don’t know about this place. No parking facility and owner doesn’t bother to attend phone calls or revert to msgs sent. Please don’t book in advance and note that you have to walk a km or more at the steep road to reach the place and in case you are carrying luggage - HELL NO!

Nestled in the hills near Shimla, Meena Bagh Ratnari is a luxurious homestay surrounded by apple orchards, offering a rustic-chic experience with wood-paneled and mud-plastered walls. This eco-friendly farm stay harvests rainwater for essential needs and recycles water wherever possible. The property features traditional Himachali architecture, colorful furniture, and warm lighting.
We had an amazing stay and this place has a pleasant ambiance. The very common thing in winter is room heater and they provided us a big and good one for all rooms at no extra cost. The room service was excellent and we were amazed by the all staffs who worked there. The one constraint is bath tub after use it gave us an bad smell and uncontrollable. Highly recommend this place who are looking for a family and pleasant stay.
Manikya C — Google review
Meena bagh sanjauli shimla, it is actually a nice place and the location is good as it is just on the main road in the like market and it is kind of a highway, but there's a little issue of the parking as it is not possible to park the car on the main road and you need to find out some other place to park the car. Otherwise, the ambiance is too good and the cleanliness is good. Though there's a room for the improvement in terms of cleanliness of the property like, the pillow covers and the bed sheets are like not that Much clean and the cushions that have been placed on the sofas that also need to be washed, but otherwise the property is very well maintained and it is a it is all together a different kind of experience because you will not be able to find the anything like a Meena bag, I'm sure abt this. You will not find this kind of ambiance. This kind of a overall structured and it, it is good if you are going in a group of family members and as there is a common kitchen, is there the rooms are that not much quite big but it is kind of an acceptable rooms. The staff is good and as far as the food is concerned, you will get the food just like above Mena bagh and can be oreded in the rooms as well, they are having their own café in the name of poblo café khoblu and it is truly a very much appreciable place. As far as the value of money is concerned, I would like to say, it is a moderate as it may look somehow expensive to some persons and but I would like to recommend one should visit this property once at least to have the feel of the property and to have the feel of the sanjauli. Also so for me, it is a very good experience and I would like to recommend this place to others also.

not good for walk in customers they won't entertain if you just visit by your own they don't if have anything to eat no restaurant
Rajat K — Google review
Tbh myself being a pahadi I expected more from this property considering all the hype. I visited them sometime back with my husband and in laws. I didn't really like the location because there is literally no view I also feel that they are overcharging because the service wasn't really good, food was not good, staff seemed a little put off. Even though they have done a good job with interiors but the bathroom bothered us the whole night as it was stinking but they did upgarde our room the next day as we couldn't sleep properly. I really liked the aesthetic and theme of the rooms, I also loved how they have taken care of details like the heated bathrooms and heaters provided in each room but other than that it was a bad experience.
Himani K — Google review
Well I wanted to review their new restaurant in Sanjauli Shimla called Cafe Khoblu, where I saw an advertisement of this property. They haven't listed their restaurant on Google maps so I am reviewing it here because I was quite disappointed with the food at sanjauli. Siddu were either to sweet or too salted. Fresh lime tasted like Lime juice cordial and not real lemons Fruit punch was a mixture of lots of packet juices mixed with milk, Tandoori chicken was burnt and tiny for the price. Ambience was good considering it looked like a typical USA (Upper Shimla Area) Village house. Staff was polite and nice. Overrated!!!

Wonderful stay at the Pahadi Cabin room in Meen Bagh, Shimla. All 3 of the rooms in the cabin with their individual bathrooms were spacious and decorated well. The best decorated part was the living room. This type of room is well suited for large families who need a place to catch up, with with its wooden interior and kitschy decor, it provides wonderfully. The food is simple- mostly Indian and Chinese but it is very tasty and well prepared. The best asset of this hotel is it's helpful and friendly staff. Two in particular- Mr. Ranjit and Mr. Deshraj were absolutely wonderful, friendly and helpful. We were staying with my pet dog (hotel is pet friendly!) and the staff were even ready to cater to his needs! The food was made fresh and served readily. Both the staff provided for everything we could need with a smile on their face. Only suggestion can be that the food items can be expanded to continental and chinese dishes as well. The only drawback is the location. Despite the large rooms, the area in the hotel is very small and crampt and is located in a busy part of town. However all in all, an appropriate place for a quick getaway with its cozy cabins and rooms, wonderful staff, pet friendliness and yummy food. Recommended for families.
Swadheena J — Google review
The Main Cottage has the best set-up. We were kind enough to be upgraded to the Main Cottage, which has dedicated bathrooms for each room. The kitchen is also great. Breakfasts were really delicious, bed comfortable & the fittings funky ! Room & bathroom were very clean & the staff were extremely polite & helpful. and After a very long day of driving it was a delight to arrive at this beautiful place. Deshraj was waiting at the road for us and the staff cooked us a delicious meal at short notice, thank you
Vaibhav B — Google review
One of the best AirBnB property we’ve been to. We wanted a two day getaway from the city and since we got a little puppy few days back we couldn’t find any pet friendly hotel. Luckily we saw Meena Bagh resort on AirBnB…The photos and reviews were quite tempting and to our good luck they were pet friendly too. We reached around afternoon, and the weather was surreal. It was drizzling and foggy all around. The house is beautifully decorated with a lot of love, and you feel that love in its every corner. We booked the entire top floor for us. There’s ample space to move around. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The bathrooms have floor heating system, so our stay was very comfortable. Even though Himachal and specially Shimla faces water issues during summers, the owners here have worked a smart way to deal with it by recycling water. We had 24X7 water supply and hot water too :) Our fur baby enjoyed running around in the terrace area, while we enjoyed the bathtub with a serene view. The care taker is super sweet, and makes delicious breakfast. He is also ready to take care of anything you might need. They have designated the living room on the ground floor for breakfast, which again offers a beautiful view of the mountains. The house is close to a lot of other touristy places you can visit around. Definitely recommend it.

The room was spotless, spacious, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was incredibly cozy, and the view from my window was stunning. Placed at one end of the mall road, it's in a less crowded neighbourhood with the hotel providing it's own parking. The place is great with attentive staff and pleasant ambience. Our short stay was extremely comfortable where we faced no issues in regards to service, food or amenities. Reasonably priced and highly recommend.
Sarthak S — Google review
The hotel is located conveniently at a nearby location to the Mall road, however the approach road is very challenging, one have to drive a car through a very narrow steep approach road with almost 40 degree inclination with 1 sharp turn, I suppose one can imgaine the effort and difficulty the driver have to take every time he/she needs to come and leave the hotel by car. The rooms are good, spacious and well maintained with mountain view, breakfast buffet was good. However the owner needs to take care of the leakage from the Commode sealing points on the floor.
Rajarshi P — Google review
One of the best stays I've had. The hotel room to the staff. Everything together made us feel home. Well maintained property and freshly prepared delicious mouthwatering food. Everything was Top Class. The staff was so helpful, from arranging our trip to Kufri and Narkanda to room service. Overall it was a 10/10 experience.
Hridyansh V — Google review
The hotel lived up to our expectations in hospitality, rooms and service. Food is amazing and the kitchen and restaurant staff takes good care of your taste. Reception staff was also very helpful and courteous. Its very close to mall road. Overall we had a very good stay!
Isha V — Google review
A huge issue is the way to the hotel to reach by car or to drive your car to/fro the hotel. Another issue is the breakfast timings for the breakfast included in the room tariff. It's only for 2 hrs (8am - 10am) like we haven't paid for the meal & they are giving it for free. For the guests who haven't booked the meal with the room, it is from 7:30am to 11am. The rooms are not clean as per the tariff they charge. If something is broken then it's broken & windows were dirty. There are no rugs or even simple mats in front of the bathroom. When you come out of the bathroom, you will wet the room area. There are no rugs at the hotel entrance (from the reception entry). It kept raining & whenever anyone went outside & came inside the hotel, there was a mud mess. It was all the time as they don't bother to wipe it either. The basic hygiene is missing & the staff available at night has their own attitude. They talk to the guests like "jo hai wohi milega ya aayega". The toilet of the first room was dirty or broken but they don't bother to replace it during low season considering customer's convenience. The bed & sheets were not clean. We paid 11000 for 2 nights. They should atleast justify the customer's money. The only advantage is that it's a 2 minute walk from the mall road.
Priya T — Google review
Room was comfortable. Have a very nice view of the valley. Staff behaviour was also pleasent. Location was top notch. Breakfast could be better at this price range. Other than that everything was good.

Nestled in the heart of Shimla, the Shimla British Resort is a 19th-century Colonial-style hotel that seamlessly blends historic charm with modern amenities. The resort's elegant wooden floors and warm fireplaces create a cozy atmosphere perfect for enjoying the cool climate of hill stations. With its exclusive Scottish style property near Mall Road, this resort offers an array of facilities including a spa, garden, terrace dining, tearoom, wines, books, and an Ayurvedic rejuvenation center.
A perfect blend of heritage and comfort! The antique furnishings, cozy rooms, and warm hospitality made our stay unforgettable. The rooftop restaurant with stunning views was the cherry on top! Veer from the staff made our stay very very comfy! Will definitely visit again!

Good resort, but the location is shown incorrect on map but there, but it is manageable, only the road to the resort is small and very steep. The resort is big and have big and old rooms, the food here is very good! If you want to enjoy nature you should stay here. There is no a/c and ceiling fan there is table fan.
Vihaan A — Google review
The resort is situated at such a quiet and serene location still well connected to nearby places. The best was the hospitality here, the staff was so helpful and welcoming. They'll go out of their way to make you feel home!! Some improvements required though as the property is really old, it needs some renovation since the beds or furniture were a little wobbly, also privacy should be improved for cottages. Otherwise everything is great... The view, the location, the helpful staff, the food, everything works together to give you a wholesome experience!!
Kirtana G — Google review
I came to Shimla needing a break from city life, and Shimla British Resort was exactly what I needed. Mornings began with a nature walk through pine trees, followed by hot parathas and chai on the rooftop with the most beautiful view. The room had a vintage charm — wooden floors, antique furniture, and it stayed toasty warm all night. I left feeling rested, grateful, and already planning my next stay.
Sahil K — Google review
Don't rely on pictures posted on hotel website, travel website and on social media. Pictures are misleading. Room are average but full with mosquitos, insects and bed bugs. Non working TV is installed as a show piece. Big gaps in Room doors. Big insects and reptiled crawled inside the room, very scary. Room furniture claimed to be antique but not maintained. Chair seat is covered with good looking fabric but it is hollow from inside. If someone tries to sit on it, will sink and can't get up without the help of others. Washrooms are with broken seats. Sit on toilet seats at your own risk. Resort is around 600/700 meters steep downhill with broken road and sharp curves. It is very tiring if you travel on foot. Due to parking issues in Shimla, own cars can't be used frequently for travelling from this hotel even to mall road and ridge. Either you have to travel on foot or depend taxis which do not come to this hotel easily or if comes charges are very expensive. We booked for 3 nights but due to these issues we changed this hotel in one night.

Overall, Shimla British Resort exceeded Our expectations in every way. Can't wait to come back! 5/5 stars!

This is this worst hotel I've ever came across. You CANNOT survive here at ALL. The rooms literally have insects going around them. There is no shower, no ceiling fan, broken furniture, TV remote not working. And the staff does not give a damn about your issues or problems. There food here is the worst I've ever consumed. They are literally serving half-cooked rice, the noodles served were too greasy and not eatable at all, the custard was just water with flavoured milk and fruits. The only thing I could eat was cucumbers. There were not any separate counters for veg and non-veg food. On top of that, the locations does not even allows food delivery. The cutlery provided is also dusty. There are fused lamps, broken tap, switch boards not working properly. The room is also quite dirty, with cowebs on the walls, unclean mirrors, dust over the bed, unclean fan. Basic necessities like dustbin and slippers are not provided in the room. The mattress given for the extra bed is not even sleepable. The bathroom literally has a net window that is see through and cannot be closed. The location of the resort also doesn't allows big vehicles to reach the resort. The geyser is also broken. The rooms are not cleaned properly and the belongings of the previous customers can be found. The pillow covers are torn. There are food crumbs found on the bed from the previous customers. The bathroom lock is rusted and is very hard to lock and unlock. The kettle provided in the room is burnt and broken. The room has a nauseous odour to it. The shampoo and soap provided have no manufacturing date or expiry date.

Not what exactly a 4.9 rating property looks like. Rooms have no tea station. Bathrooms are not fitted with showers. Few other guest were heard having issues for geysers in their rooms. Few guest rooms are adjoining common swimming pool hence if you wish to enjoy in a pool after 8 p.m to late p.m then they do not allow. If you are a morning tea lover then forget it as there is no staff to attend you even at 7:30a.m. Food taste is just average. Overall if you are looking for 2-3days stays then it is not recommended at all. Best thing is only location of resort.

Me and my family online booked this resort we were 6 girls, we paid earlier after reaching there is no booking even they are not providing washroom to get fresh up not for child also. After getting the room, rooms are not clear there staff behaviour is very very very bad they dnt know how to talk with women. Food quality and taist are very nothing available for baby. Swimming pool is not cleared even after twice complaint. Wors experience with the the owner manager and other staff members. Supper deluxe room with no facilitys. Pics are different and reality is different. No safety while reaching to the hotel. it's is very far from the city under jungle area no light in the road.Swimming pool is of green color with no privacy.

I got the oppourtinity to stay 2 nights in Vatika resort along with my 70 students and fellow collegues, location of the resort is the usp of this property, must appreciate the promptness of the resort owner and staff. They managed such a large group with ease shows their professionalism and experiance. Resort has a swimming pool and a restaurant. My students enjoyed the time alot. Food was also good. In the evening they arranged bon fire and DJ adding cherry to the cake. If they could add little luxury eminities in the rooms then this resort will reach to the zenith. Overall a Very comfortable stay for us. Special thanks to the owner of the resort Mr Aviral Jain who made all possible efforts to make our stay memorable, peaceful and full of serenity.

Tucked away in the serene foothills of the Himalayas, Mountain and Peace Homestay is a charming retreat located in Shimla. This pet-friendly haven is perfect for families and friends, offering cozy accommodations with two bedrooms, a welcoming living room, and a spacious terrace that boasts breathtaking mountain views. Guests can enjoy modern amenities like a well-equipped kitchen and free WiFi while indulging in off-site activities such as local tours, hiking, and skiing. Just 9.
I was initially a bit concerned about the location, but after reading other positive reviews, I decided to give it a try—and I'm so glad I did. The owner is an incredibly humble and soft-spoken person who goes out of his way to make guests feel at home. While the property is slightly farther from the city, it's by no means a disadvantage. The road is mostly in good condition, with just a few potholes and a rough patch of around 200 meters. There's ample car parking available, and the rooms are neat and clean, with good quality bedsheets. True to its name, the place offers a peaceful, serene atmosphere surrounded by mountains—perfect for those looking to unwind and disconnect. I felt completely relaxed during my stay, and the overall vibe was very homely and comforting. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful stay away from the city's hustle!

Our 4 day stay at Mountain and Peace was truly memorable. The property lives up to its name...peaceful, clean, and surrounded by stunning mountain views that you can never get enough of🍃 . The owner and staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. We were traveling with pets, and it felt safe, comfortable, and homely throughout. It's one of those rare places that make you want to come back every time you're in Shimla. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind, enjoy the weather, and spend quality time with loved ones.💯🙌

Our 3 days stay here at Mountain and peace was fantastic. The property has a good scenic beauty. Rooms were clean and cosy for stay with excellent behaviour of hotel staff. Shantam and his team will make sure you will get whatever you want. Value in terms of money.

I would highly recommend staying at Mountain and Peace. Had a wonderful time with family. It is really peaceful as it is away from the main city. The owner is very helpful and co-operative. He arranged a cab for us in a short time. Location: It's far away from the Mall road. 400 mtr road near the hotel is not concrete. Parking space is there in the hotel. Rooms: Spacious, neat and clean rooms. Hot water is available all the time. Terrace is there on the same floor which provides breath-taking views. You can see the sunset as well. Food: Taste is good but quantity is less. Options are limited. There is an option to order from a nearby restaurant.

This place was a little far off the town. We initially were very hesitant to reach this place as it is located in a very narrow road with a very steep incline. Our tempo driver was reluctant to come to the Homestay. The owner stepped in and guided the vehicle. We had a nice breakfast though a bit pricey. Would recommend this place only if you are very comfortable briving on very steep paths. Tourists would be better off staying in the town. That said the support given by the host is great if not for his initiative we would have moved out even if we are loosing out booking.

I had an amazing stay at this homestay! The hosts were warm, welcoming, and made me feel right at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. Great view from the property.. Very near to The Mall road.. With in the city yet vey calm and open space.. Ample and safe parking within the property .. Neat an clean rooms .. A little costly yet, worthy if you compare with other properties around as far as overall facilities are concerned. They provide food till late night, which is another main reason to recommend this property because you will not find food anywhere after 10:30 PM.

They all are fake reviews. I request u to do not visit to this hotel. It's just wastage of money. There location is also for away from the road. They have very bad specialities. Rooms were hygienic .All the staff are useless and don't know how to talk to their customers. First of all they offer me 700 for the room and after checking out they refused to said and claims 900 instead of 700. I have a very bad experience at this hotel.
Sourabh B — Google review
One of the worst hotels in Shimla. The reviews are fake. The flush in bathroom is not working. One of the windows broke and cold air comes inside. Although Geyser is working, there is no room service phone, there is no wifi, Tv, AC. Rooms are small.
Shiva K — Google review
I stayed at Annadale View Hotel but was not very satisfied with my experience. The location and surroundings are nice, but the service and maintenance need a lot of improvement. Rooms were not properly cleaned, and the facilities did not match the expectations. Staff response was also slow, which made the stay uncomfortable. With better management, this hotel could improve, but for now, it was a disappointing experience.
Mohammad N — Google review
Affordable but poor service! Property' location is a disadvantage. You need to walk on a steep slope for almost 1 km to avail basic things like food or to reach anywhere. They don't provide pickup and drop facilities. The geyser was not working. Found it hard to sleep at night due to constant chattering and high volume music played by people. The bathrooms were too stinky. Saw 2 cockroaches crawling adjacent to my bed. Food available at the place was good but costly. Rooms were well ventilated. Wifi connection was good. Staff was cordial but with laid back attitude. View from a room for annadale ground was excellent. Bed was comfortable. Generally rooms were clean. Overall the experience was ok.

Owner is very rude. Chill dude, you have a resort, you're not owner of oberoi clarkes. Better to become a broker. I recently stayed at Flag House Resort, and unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. The overall experience was quite disappointing. Upon arrival, the check-in process was disorganized and inefficient, leading to a long wait despite having a reservation. The room itself was underwhelming—poorly cleaned and in need of maintenance. The bed was uncomfortable, and the amenities were outdated. The bathroom had mold in the shower, and the hot water was inconsistent.Additionally, the service was lacking. Staff were unhelpful and seemed indifferent to guests’ concerns. The on-site dining options were overpriced and the quality of the food was mediocre at best.Overall, Flag House Resort did not provide the relaxing getaway I had hoped for. I would not recommend this resort based on my experience.

The chefs prepared each meal with meticulous care, catering to all Indian dishes. The food was literally the HIGHEST of our stay! Moreover, the hotel's attention to detail was evident in every aspect of our stay. Everything is avoidable apart from location. The rooms were not clean having hairs, spider webs. Old bed-sheets and pillows were there which were changed after requested. Rooms were not cleaned even after repeated requests. Hair dryer was not available (it was shown on the website), and was not provided on request. Items (Tea, Sugar, Milk powder)for tea were provided only when asked. Cups and glasses were not cleaned. Bathroom doors were not getting locked from outside and kept opening causing smell in the room. Food menu was provided to order which was taking time around 50 minutes. Normal water bottle charged at 30 rupees. There was no intercom facility, I had to come out of room to reception for each and every request. The cost of accommodation is very high considering the service and room conditions. I’ll suggest exploring more options until it’s emergency.
Kewal S — Google review
Worst experience ever. Very small size room. You can get better place for the same price. There was no water in the room. Not every room was clean and staff was not available all the time. The worst part was that I called the hotel number before going there and they quoted 1500 price but when I reached there after 15 minutes they increased the price to 2000. It is also very far from mall road, it takes about 30 minutes of walking from here.
Omkar N — Google review
Place with awesome view …The place was good enough as had a good view plus it was near to the Lakkar bazar which connects the ridge and the Mall Road . The hotel staff was polite and soft spoken but one thing which personably I didn’t like was there was no tea service . We Indians usually look for tea in the morning and there was only kettle .. no water bottle / tea bags / sugar sachets nothing . Every hotel may it charge you 1500 or 3000 it keeps the kettle with tea bags /sugar sachets for instant tea /coffee for the customers . Rest there is food service you can order food from their other hotel which is nearby .

Pls never go for this hotel. When we checked in rooms were not cleaned bed sheets were messed up .The persons sitting in the reception have zero knowledge, behaves very rudely and speak very arrogantly. The hotel owner will never come in to picture , if we call him he will never lift the call. Room rates they charge Rs.3800 per night but for each and every service we need to ask them repeatedly. No hot water facility. You will regret if you book this hotel.

I was doing my Spiti valley trip and my last stop was at Shimla. I decided to extend my vacation for 2 more days and stay in Shimla and explore the place. My tour guide suggested that I stay here since it has the best location on the mall road and is also very budget friendly. I seriously benefited due to the prime location of this spot. Now this is a hostel to attached washrooms that are not there but their washroom facilities are really good. The rooms were clean and tidy. The view from the area is also amazing. Their fooding system has been stopped after COVID and it's uncertain when it will start. Nonetheless this is the best place to stay for solo travelers.
Nabyendu D — Google review
This is a great place to stay in the heart of Shimla, just above Christchurch. It's in a historical building that still exudes original 1930's vibes. The double rooms are big with views over the town and a fireplace in the corner. Quiet and comfortable even at peak times. A real gem considering that Shimla is rapidly being taken over by fast foods, commercial outlets and a sprawl of ugly concrete blocks. Paid 800 Rs for the room which is really cheap for this town and location - the only hiccup was the lack of breakfast at the time I stayed.

The location is perfect within Shimla main town. The Ridge, Mall Street, and Christ Church are at your doorstep. The manager was so nice and he really helped me out a lot during my stay.

I stayed at this hotel for a 4-day solo workation and arrived from Manali at 2 o'clock in the morning. Despite the early hour, the hotel staff was incredibly accommodating, promptly providing me with a room upon my arrival with no wait, albeit for an additional fee, which was understandable. Situated at the beginning of Mall Road, the property offered me a peaceful retreat away from the bustling crowds. My room was clean, adequately spacious, and equipped with all essential amenities. The highlight was the large glass window offering breathtaking views of the mountains and the city below. Although room service was available, I opted to explore the plethora of dining options along Mall Road. Despite the serene ambiance, occasional monkey visitors on the rooftop added a touch of excitement to my stay.

I never imagined it would be so picturesque, and the overall atmosphere was beyond what I could have hoped for during my stay.

I booked this hotel through Agoda, and it clearly mentioned that parking was included. However, upon arrival, the staff informed me there was no parking available, and I had to pay extra elsewhere. The hotel itself is very old, and the overall maintenance is poor. The food quality was terrible and overpriced. For what we received, it might be worth ₹1000 at best, but we ended up paying ₹3000 – definitely not justified. There was no balcony either, which was another letdown. Overall, it was a bad experience and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

Hotel is at very good location full access to mall road and market near by. Stay was very pleasant staff was too good. We got deluxe room in basement which has beam in between making the room smaller but on other floors same room was big.

The rooms and service is horrible Low water pressure on tap and showers and flush is not working. Bathroom are very small and drainage system is 3rd class my bathroom was filled up with water .. And staff was very rude they ignoreing continuously . And very important in the rooms oxygen level very low

Rooms of the hotel are okaish. Mattress was super skinny n kinda really bad. Service n food is good. Staff is great. I was helped by staff who looked after our stay really well.

The rooms are. Good and decent for stay, the main highlights of the hotel is it has the mall road, ridge jakkhoo temple lakkar bazar pretty close and you can go by a walk to reach these places , service was good people were friendly, rooms and washroom was good Don't expect a luxury though as its a 3 star deluxe rooms , would recommend the hotel for a stay
Raj C — Google review
I booked this hotel through Agoda on 12.04.2025, due to traffic we reached late around 0930 pm. We have booked for super deluxe room, but upon reaching the staff showed us third grade room with dirty linen, dirty bathroom and toilets, hair at drainage. We initially tried to book other hotels nearby but since it was weekend we couldn't get any other accomodation and we had to settle for this dirty pathetic hotel. We complained to Agoda and they assured to provide help but didn't provide any help or resolution. The staff literally arm twisted us to settle for lower grade accomodation . The staff was like "Abhi toh yahi available hai lena hai toh le lo warna yeh bhi jaaega". The worst part is that Agoda as platform is created to fleece tourists and not to facilitate. Only advice is to avoid booking this hotel. And also avoid booking through Agoda.

Outstanding property. Perfect location, spacious rooms with stunning views, very good service and good food. If you want to spend little more than usual and get a luxury hotel, then this is it. Amazing rooms. We had one extra bed and room was still spacious for kids to play. Instant hot water, room heater, kettle, etc was amazing in the room. Easily walkable to the Ridge and the Mall road as well. Some steps to climb up and down on the road to the Ridge, but totally worth it.

Excellent stay and recommended property in Shimla. A priority option to stay with family. We stayed 4 nights at the property. Room - Luxury Valley view with panoramic valley view should be priority option. Staff- Very friendly and polite. Parking - Plenty of parking and property has car lift as well Food and room service- Beyond expectations, very tasty food with both Veg and non Veg options. We tried both and it was awesome. Breakfast buffet have plenty of items with live on table options. Location- Very nice, 15 mins walk to The mall road but would be difficult for kids and senior citizen. Value for money and highly recommended.

Room was good enough for the price we paid. It as clean and simple. Not very lavish though. We couldn't get room with a view which would've been great as view from this hotel is good. We paid 1500 for a day during weekday.

Giri Bhai and his family had a very bad experience at your hotel. They didn’t even eat the food, and when they asked for coffee, there was no milk available. It was truly a terrible experience for the guests. As a travel agent, I personally didn’t like this at all. I had to arrange an extra lunch for the guests myself. Your staff member, Mr. Ajay, was not cooperative at all.

Good location with added benefit of inside parking. One thing I really liked is that this hotel allows pets and treated my dog very respectfully. Apart from this, food is awesome and the staff resolves issues quickly. 100% recommended.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future

I had booked a room in this hotel but the rooms are not the same as shown in the images. When I asked the owner, he said we do not have same rooms as shown in the images. The rooms are untidy, not clean, and the hotel staff is very rude. If anyone is opting to book a room in this hotel, I would suggest not to make any partial or online payment as you might end up losing your hard earned money. This hotel is not upto the expectations and after visiting the hotel you will definitely get disappointed.
Ketan K — Google review
We planned to stay in Shimla for 4 nights. We booked a double room in Taj palace. The location was right in the main road. The parking lot was very small. The balcony was very small. We faced two major issues. One is the monkey...you cannot sit in the balcony freely for a minute. You never know when it will jump into your balcony and the other issue was you will be hearing the vechiles sound continuously throughout the night. We couldn't sleep properly. If you want to say near the Mall, then you can plan this hotel. After visiting Kufri for a day, we cancelled the booking her, for which they didn't refund...and stayed in Kufri itself. Even though Shimla is a clean city to visit...crowd and monkeys are a big issue. If you really wanted to feel the calmness, stay in Kufri not in Shimla..

Royal Cedar B&B is a relaxed and comfortable hotel located in Shimla, 5 km from The Mall Road. The hotel offers stunning views of the valley or the mountains, free WiFi and private parking. The rooms are comfortable and homely, with great food options nearby. The location is far from the traffic and touristy vibe, making it an amazing choice for anyone looking for a quiet getaway.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Royal Cedar B&B, and it was an experience worth cherishing. Nestled amidst the serene hills, this place offers the perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and breathtaking views. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and had a warm, cozy feel, making it an ideal retreat after a long day of exploring. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, always ensuring that guests had everything they needed. The home-cooked meals were a highlight—fresh, delicious, and served with love. What truly sets Royal Cedar B&B apart is its peaceful ambiance. Waking up to the sound of birds and sipping tea while overlooking the lush green valleys was an experience in itself. Whether you’re looking for a quiet getaway or an adventurous trip in the hills, this place is perfect. Highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting the area. Would love to return!

The owner of hotel takes care of tourist. The hotel staff who serves is very polite and serves with affection. We reached at 10pm but they serves with hot dinner. Breakfast and dinner was very tasty. Rooms are near and clean with 24 hours hot water facility. Thank you to Owner and all the staff of hotel.
Suresh P — Google review
The hotel’s location is quite inconvenient, being 2.5 km downhill from the main road with very limited transport options. Only a few buses run three times a day at large time gaps, making it tiring for tourists to explore Shimla while staying here. The rooms offered a great view and were fairly good, but the bedsheets had holes and the carpets showed burn marks, which was disappointing. However, the bathroom was clean and well-maintained. The reception phone didn’t work, and calls went unanswered. While the staff was friendly, they weren’t very supportive. The stay cost ₹1600 per night for a couple, but due to the location, transport expenses came to around ₹3000–₹4000 for a two-day trip. Overall, apart from the location and transport issues, the hotel wasn’t bad.
RIKRAJ P — Google review
I had a terrible experience at this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. The staff was extremely rude and unhelpful, showing no concern for guest comfort. From the moment I arrived, I was met with hostility instead of hospitality. The service was shockingly bad. Requests for basic amenities were either ignored or delayed for hours. The staff behaved as if guests were a burden rather than valued customers. Cleanliness was also an issue—rooms were not properly maintained, and housekeeping was inconsistent. What’s worse, when I tried to address these concerns with management, they were dismissive and unprofessional, refusing to take any responsibility. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for them. If you're looking for a pleasant stay, do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. This place is not worth your time or money.

This delightful establishment offers comfortable accommodations complete with a terrace, free private parking, and an inviting restaurant and bar. Ideal for both solo travelers and families alike, it provides excellent value for your money. This place is a decent and good value for money hotel to stay in be it solo or with your family. There's good amounts of car parking , staff is decent to have a conversation to and just a cute little place to stay. P.S To all those writing like construction is going on and it's uncomfortable or whatever reason where people are looking at you or you guys have higher expectations then she'll out more money out of your budgets instead of expectations being sky high and money rock bottom. You get what you pay for , value for money and well situated hotel to stay in.

Hotel is just okay, coz its bit away from mall road, they will say its just 1km away from it but ( Actual Mall road market is little bit away) while reaching through walking it might exhaust you, don’t worry just take local public bus (easily accessible in every 2-3 minutes) in-front of the hotel & get it dropped to LIFT ( from where you can easily reach to actual mall road starting) Another thing whenever you take price enquiries from this hotel, just don’t fall out for first price they say. Always bargain you might get 40% reduction from upfront price
Alok G — Google review
I visited Hotel Himland East recently this year and it was a total disaster due to the construction going on in this hotel. The walls of the lobby were broken, construction materials were placed outside the rooms, dust of construction came inside the rooms. The labourers were constantly gaurding our rooms and were seen all over the place. The owner should stop selling his rooms and only open it after the construction is completed. Do not waste your money and ruin your holiday.
Pushapraj — Google review
Just saved my life. Visited this hotel to book a stay but encountered an accident, some construction material fell over my head, I was lucky enough as someone pulled me back or else anything could happen. This hotel is not at all in condition to stay. Avoid if you love your life.
Prakriti J — Google review
Had a very bad experience here. Stayed here for one night with my family. Firstly we had issues with parking our car because of the iron pillars being used in their lift construction work, after check in and payment we regretted our decision staying here as construction was going outside our rooms and the workers were starring us going in and out of our room. Ladies felt insecure and uncomfortable. Rushed out the next morning and the same workers were starring us again. Really dissatisfied.
Zoppyy G — Google review
It is a budget hotel. It is clean and convenient as it is not very far from the Mall road. The staff is aloof. There could be a small concern over privacy because of glass windows. The view from the corridors is nice. On one side, you can see the valley and the road that leads further and on the other you can see the mountains. If it snows you could just open your door and extend your hand to catch a snowflake.
Preet S — Google review
Rooms were very cozy! And services were spot on. Parking ✓ Only thing that ruins the full experience was the toilets. The toilet seats have that hand held shower thing. That feels so unhygienic and a 1990s thing. Can't you just upgrade the bidets in the toilet seat. Yep the reason for 3/5 stars seems this petty. But it really ruined our experience.
Ishaan K — Google review
Very small and unhygienic rooms like a pigeon’s nest. Outdated furniture, old and damaged fan tied up with wires. Cramped cupboards with dish wires and a junction box inside. No means of ventilation in the room. Windows are without any curtains. Parking space is always full also untrained staff will guide you in parking your vehicle which can lead to damages. This room should be priced around 1500 to 2000 Rs. please book your hotel somewhere else instead of wasting your 4000 to 5000 Rs here.

We stayed there for 4nights. Very good room . Food quality good but cooking everything with the same spices making no difference between chicken and kadai paneer. It's mandatory to provide fresh towels everyday but while asking they reluctantly replied to hand over the key to the house keeping staff who would do everything clean. Why should we hand over the key to them? We booked it long ago with 67p.c.discount and paid Rs 12231/ for 4 nights but during our stay I observed the rate going down to Rs 7000 for 4 nights. Asking their Head office their reply couldn't convince me. Very next day rate became higher. It's amazing!!! 😺 😍 While entering the hotel you have to cross hundred stairs to reach the ground floor to avail the lift to reach the reception on 5th floor. After check out nobody will help you to get the luggage on the road after crossing so many stairs, so please think twice if you come with your Sr citizen members. Hotel rate is very much on higher side. It's possible to get good hotels at rate lower than it. Wifi is not available in room on 4th floor, for this you will have to go to 5th floor reception. Complimentary breakfast is good but not with varieties. Everyday you will be served with aloo paratha, chana puri/vatora, curd, flattened rice or vice versa.
Ajit K — Google review
The room was clean and offered a serene view. It's ideal for guests seeking a quiet retreat. However, access requires a 600-700 meter trek, as the hotel is located in a vehicle-restricted zone. This can be a real pain with luggage. Service from housekeeping and room service was inconsistent during my stay. It's mandatory to provide fresh towels everyday but while asking they reluctantly replied to hand over the key to the house keeping staff who would do everything clean. Why should we hand over the key to them? Don't they have a master key for room cleaning? Furthermore, despite a three-day stay for two guests, only one liter of water was provided. While I subsequently ordered additional bottles, I was unexpectedly billed for them.

Location- It’s located on the top and it’s very difficult for the kids and elderly people to chimb. Extra charges was charged for luggage and baby stroller. Food - Breaking was limited and no baby food was provided. The food was also not that great. Service- Coffee was chargeable and heater was also chargeable. Washroom was not cleaned properly and the heater for washroom didn’t work properly as we had to wait for the hot water for long. Overall if you are planning with this family dnt opt for this hotel.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The location is highly inconvenient and misleadingly portrayed in the photos. In reality, the hotel is situated far from accessible points, requiring a tiring 700-meter trek just to reach the property—something conveniently left out of their description. To make matters worse, they demand additional charges to carry your luggage both ways. Even after agreeing upon ₹200 for both pick-up and drop, the staff failed to show up at the agreed time during checkout, leaving us stranded and waiting for over half an hour. The service was unprofessional, the staff uncooperative, and the entire experience left a bad taste. This property is nowhere close to what is advertised and offers no consideration for guest convenience. I would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel. Total waste of time, effort, and money.

Terrible stay. When we ordered morning tea, they requested it will be there in morning breakfast. It means they are not even able to serve morning tea in the room The hotel's location was also very poor. There was a steep climb of at least 500 meters, making it difficult to reach the hotel. I had booked directly through Treebo for 2 days and had paid 1 day's advance payment. However, given the poor service and hotel location, I wanted to check out after 1 day, but Treebo refused and insisted that I had to pay for the full 2 days. However, I was lucky enough and managed to escape.

Rooms are well equipped with kettle, cupboard, table, chair, mirror bathroom had hot water 24hrs and quite big. Though window available, it's too close to the next building so no view from our room. No heating in room. Food at the restaurant is very good. Buffet breakfast is good and hot too though limited. Location is excellent and close to mall road. Vehicals drop u to AG chowk only as lanes are too narrow to reach hotel and vehicles are not allowed till the doorstep. Hotel has an exit from the ground floor and 5th floor! Have to return room key if u want rooms to be cleaned. Or else they don't clean. They allowed us to check in early, which was very helpful for those with kids or new to the cold weather.

Very good experience in the hotel. Employees were very helpful and kind. They provided room heater on request with additional charges. Also they kept my luggage after checkout. Location was bit complicated for newcomers like me. Better easy directions of map can be given on the website. Also, razorpay link for Treebo was not working initially and could make payments by reloading the website.

Hotel Prestige Shimla offers a delightful stay with breathtaking views of the city and top-notch service. Located just 5 minutes from Mall Road, 10 minutes from Christ Church, and an hour from Jakhoo Temple, it provides easy access to popular attractions. The rooms are cozy and the room service is excellent. While it's about 2 km from Shimla Railway Station, its proximity to the ridge of Shimla on Mall Road makes it a convenient choice for travelers.
A Very Good Budget Hotel to Stay, Neat and Clean Roons,Food is good, Staff behaviour Very much Polite....Location wise excellent some steps away from mall road.

The family bedroom was worst and the beds were simply made by combing two sofa which made the bed very hard and stiff to sleep. The matress was smelly and dirty. The price dont do any justice for the service provided.

Rooms were not allocated as per the rooms which were displayed in our booking. Allocated rooms had a back side drainage view and also had a lot of big crawling insects in rooms and in washrooms. The hotel manager and owner both are fraud. Rooms which are shown on booking sites are not their, upon asking they said we have changed. ( people change it to upgrade, not to downgrade ). He was trying to give a very cheap room. Any how he gave a less cheaper room. doing fraud and manipulation with customers while allocating rooms. Way to the hotel is very very bad from mall road you have to downstairs atleast 135 stairs, some iron built stairs, some old stairs big and broken.(Not suitable for elderly ,not even for any age). And one bad thing , you will always immerse your feet with dogs potty, even after taking all precautions. because those stairs were always immersed with potty, some times it was looking like human waste .(don't know from where it was coming ). Then after 135 stairs , your journey not end, then in hotel either they will give you 3 floor down or 3 floor upstairs room, rooms very very cheap and smelly.

Probably the worst hotel to stay in entire shimla; If there is negative rating then -5 for sure; extremely dirty bed, broken washroom, pest filled rooms and what not; I visited with couple of friends and was looking for a place near mall road and my bad luck that I booked this online; NOT WORTH EVEN 500 BUCKS THOUGH WE ENDED PAYING 5 TIMES OF IT; only good thing is the reception desk who guided us when needed;

We only know how we passed that smelly night, then early morning we changed the hotel (we searched another hotel same day evening and booked). It was online booking and payment was done, so one day stay was compulsory . It was worst experience of my life. I have not seen such smelly ,fraud hotel in my entire life. Even while writing this review, I am feeling that smell in my nose and mouth. For god sake stay anywhere , but not hotel prestige in shimla. I never gives reviews, but i want to protect others from this scam, and warn them not too spoil their entire trip

Rooms were not allocated as per the rooms which were displayed in our booking. Allocated rooms had a back side drainage view and also had a lot of big crawling insects in rooms and in washrooms. Seems like the hotel manager is doing fraud and manipulation with customers while allocating rooms. When we asked the hotel manager about the Himachal tour package he allocated us a very rude and unprofessional behavior driver having no sense about how to talk with customers and service. While listening to the communication of the driver and manager it seems that he overcharged us because of his commission with driver. Our stay at this hotel was very horrible. Hotel owners should be alert and aware of this serious issue and take the prompt action on priority.

Alok P — Google review
My stay at The Bodhi Tree B&B in Shimla fell short of expectations due to several disappointing aspects: 1. Menu Misrepresentation: Despite the enticing options listed on the menu, many were unavailable throughout my stay. This limited my dining choices and left me feeling frustrated. 2. Staffing Shortage: The lack of sufficient staff was evident during my visit. With only two employees on duty, it was challenging to receive assistance promptly. Moreover, the frequent absence of reception staff left guests stranded and frustrated. 3. Communication Challenges: Communicating with the kitchen proved to be a cumbersome task due to the absence of a direct contact number. Guests were instead directed to message a designated number and wait for a response, leading to delays and frustration. 4. Parking Problems: The parking situation at the B&B was far from satisfactory. The apparent prioritization of the owner's vehicles led to constant shuffling and delays for guests. Handing over car keys or being interrupted to move vehicles every 20 to 25 minutes became a frustrating inconvenience. The Bodhi Tree B&B has potential, significant improvements in service and infrastructure are needed to ensure a satisfactory experience for guests.

I had spend only a couple of hours here but no complaints other than a bit of long walk till mall road. The road leading upto the hotel was quite steep and we covered the distance via car mainly. Staff well behaved and rooms are well maintained and spacious. The surroundings and ambience was very posh and I would want to spend more time here during my next visit to write a detailed review. The linen were clean and the furniture despite dates were spotless.

The bed and breakfast Tara Valley View is located in the Kalka Shimla Toy Train 9.2 area, and it offers accommodation with only one room option. The property has parking, a bar, and wifi. Breakfast is included in the price of the room.
I recently had the unfortunate opportunity to stay at [Tara Valley View], and I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience. It was, without a doubt, one of the most unpleasant stays I've ever had at a hotel. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was greeted by an overwhelming smell that can only be described as a mix of stale cigarette smoke and industrial cleaner. The lackluster and outdated decor did little to improve my initial impression. It was evident that the hotel has not invested in any renovations or updates in what seems like decades. The check-in process was excruciatingly slow, with the staff appearing disinterested and unmotivated. It felt like a hassle to them rather than a service they were providing. The lack of professionalism and courtesy displayed by the front desk staff was simply appalling. Upon entering my room, I was met with an unpleasant surprise – a musky, unpleasant odor that lingered throughout my stay. The carpet was stained, the furniture was worn-out, and the overall cleanliness left much to be desired. It was evident that basic housekeeping standards were not a priority. The bathroom was equally disappointing. The fixtures were outdated, the water pressure was abysmal, and the towels provided seemed like they had seen better days. It was an overall uncomfortable and unhygienic experience. To make matters worse, the noise levels within the hotel were unbearable. Thin walls and inconsiderate guests made for a sleepless night, adding to the overall frustration of my stay. The dining experience at the hotel restaurant was equally subpar. The food was tasteless, and the service was slow and inattentive. I would strongly advise anyone considering dining here to explore other options in the vicinity. In conclusion, my stay at [Tara Valley View] was nothing short of a nightmare. From the outdated facilities and lackluster service to the overall uncleanliness, this hotel fails on every front. I would strongly discourage anyone from wasting their time and money at this establishment. Countless other accommodations in the area surely provide a more pleasant and comfortable experience.

Worst hotel in shimla. 10kms before mall road and on map it's showing near Mall road. All the pics is fake. They also not refunding your money. Haunted place. It's all fake. Don't go there in any situation. Request

The hotel was pathetic... I would never consider it to anyone.. I hardly wrote a negetive review but the property and it's staff was poor. I booked a delux room, the washroom was so untidy and the service was really bad. I asked for soap and water for so many times but no response from them.. they even didn't able to provide the basic things. Moreover, everyone in their staff was high on hash all the time.. playing loud music in the night and didn't even care about the guests.. Not at all safe.. I suggest not to ever consider this property for your stay. There was no parking no facilities at all..
Vidhi D — Google review
I had booked this hotel thru booking.com looking to photographs shared. All photos are of day one of construction. Today's status is very diffrent and in bad shape. No maintainance. Toilet seats are broken, water tap is damaged, ants in room, and most important is very dangerous approch road to hotel. Decending down the hill on that narrow stretch is like nightmare. Avoid even if offered at 12 00. But yes value for money if offered at 800-900
Alok B — Google review
1. Rooms are not what they have shown in pictures. 2. Receptionist will take your phone to note down the booking reference but will actually cancel your booking if its done through a booking app. They will then charge you higher price. This happened with me and two other visitors standing next to me. 3. Staff is not well-behaved. 4. No parking space. 5. Untidy rooms and washrooms. 6. Quality of food 👎
Dushyant G — Google review

I booked 2 rooms for 5 family members on 14th June.. It's worst property i have ever seen. Worst infra, no support to customer.. they denied every needy things you expect to get in hotel. Completely money minded. booking.com please remove it from your portal.
Navneet S — Google review
We booked two rooms for 5 members seven days prior our visit and when we called they told that the charges should be paid only when we reach at the hotel. Then they called 1 day prior to our visit and told us that we have to pay ₹500/- to lock the booking when we agreed to pay the amount they asked us to pay ₹1400/- instead and pressurised us saying that they have 1000s of customers in waiting it is upto you you can cancel it. If you cannot pay ₹1400/- now cancel it right away. And the way they talked was very rude and highly unprofessional. They leave the customer with no choice. No property can be booked at such short notice and at such peak time.

The property is located in a very good area, the views are also mesmerizing from the property, it's a 4 bedroom property with a very elegant looking drawing room and a kitchen, all in all a proper home away from home. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and neat. The main reason to stay there is the caretaker Puran who is kind humble makes delicious food and is a genuine person, he also drove us to the mall road and picked us up. The mall road is just a 5 mins drive or 20 mins walk the views are amazing, everything is readily available food grocery etc. I was here for 4 nights with my family and will come again here only. DaleViewHomeStay is a charming accommodation located in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The property offers free private parking and well-maintained units with fully equipped kitchenettes for guests' convenience. Visitors have praised the affordable prices, cleanliness, and hygienic environment of the rooms. Additionally, they appreciated the provision of heaters during cold nights and the availability of kitchen facilities with functional geysers.
I stayed at Dale view Homestay for 2 days. I had great experience at this homestay. Pros: 1) Affordable price and a very good room. 2) very clean and hygienic room. 3) what I liked the most is that there was a heater during the chilling night of Shimla. 4) Room had a kitchen, which too had a geyser. Gyser in bathroom was also working properly. 5) As we went by our own car, so free parking was available. 6) we reached at 9.30 pm. During that time it's rare to get food delivered at doorstep. But they had a menu available. They ordered food for us and it was very delicious and quantity was also very good. 6) Aunty was very hospitable, sweet, helpful and kind. 7) I was surprised to see a bottle of shampoo, shower gel, hand wash, a clean towel, soap and sanitizer in washroom. I mean everything was there beforehand. We didn't need to ask for anything. 8) liked the aura of the room. Calm and beautiful. Cons; 1) I reached at night, in the beginning I felt like where have I come due to dark, but in the morning when I woke up, a beautiful view was infront of me. I booked the hotel for one day, but then I liked the stay there so stayed there for one more day instead of looking for another one for 2 nd day of trip.
