Jungle walk is a pretty short, shady stroll -however the Jungle Walk is now re-routed and is no longer a loop but rather an out and back

A couple of short tracks. The "jungle area" is worth checking out. Nothing remarkable though. Note the park is gated and officially opens at 8am. ⛔ Be cautious around the toilets, I think it might be used as a "beat". After a walk, I went into the toilet block and was startled by a guy standing in front of the urinal (faced away from it). I dismissed this as a bit odd and proceeded to enter the cubicle and noticed there was a free condom dispenser and a hole in the wall of the cubicle (seriously), where the other guy was standing. Anyway, I left the cubicle (the guy was still standing in the same place). In addition, there was a guy circling the car park (plenty of parking available). This was all mid-morning! I suggest being cautious around this place.

This is actually a really beautiful place and it is so close to Darwin, but doesn’t seem like too many know about it or bother to visit it. Palm Creek walk is just like walking into a Tropical Jungle with palms and vines everywhere. I’ll have to work out a 5km trail running loop so I can enjoy it’s beauty more often.

A stunning little walk, scattered with beautiful swimming holes (take your bathers) and wildlife around every corner. Best of all, it's close to the heart of the city as opposed to an hour out of town.

Awesome place to go for a long walk and take your fur baby. Around midday you hear the lions and tigers roar from Crocodylus. Wild rosella growing.

Holmes jungle is a great place for a day out in nature!🏞️it is a great experience not just for adults but kids too😊I thoroughly enjoyed coming here and observing all the natural wild life🐦

Even though car park was full there was still plenty of people space. However suggest weekday is more tranquil.

Marlow lagoon has a fantastic gated pet park. Quiet when i was there in the early afternoon but have been told later in the afternoon ppl gather, chat and the dogs play and swim...at own risk of course. Terrific kids play areas, cool xylophone & bell donger to keep them amused. Rotundas, bbq's &plenty of places to sit. Even a drinking fountain. Go. Its good 👍🏻

What fantastic park ! Several different areas for different sizes and nature of dogs. The lagoon was a hit with my girl and there’s plenty of space to run. It was great to have modern toilets for us humans as well.

Hi, here we are Lilly and Skye. Been to Marlow Lagoon Park today. Dad watched out for those crocodiles while we went swimming in the lagoon. Great big park alot of zoomies were had.

Must be The Best Dog Park in Oz! Fenced area for little dogs, fenced area with lots of obstacles for bigger dogs. Acres of 'off leash' area for a run. And a HUGE lake for a swim. A 'must visit' for any caring human to take their pooch.

We are from SA visiting friends. We were blown away with the size and structure of this park. Amazing for dogs and people alike. I think there are 5 different types of areas to suit dogs quiet, small dog etc. there is a playground, toilets, bbq. Well done council.

Probably one of the best dog parks in Australia. Pond for swimming, 3 different agility courses for different size dogs, plenty of shade all in a very large fully fenced enclosure. Our doggo loved it

Nice gardens but the kids play area is a miss. Supposed to be renovated but just fenced off doesn't look like anything is happening and was supposed to be finished by now. My grandson was very disappointed. Cafe staff are lovely, helpful and friendly.

A mouthful of a name for Darwin's Botanic gardens but George Brown is the very reason it is still in a good state after Cyclone Tracey of 1974. Did a guided walk with Walk Darwin & according to guide John, this was not the only cyclone to wreak damage in the gardens. It is expansive, so you will get an excellent workout as it is set on a hilly slope - find a layout map if you want to get through it all. Notable section is the Madagascar & African garden with massive Baob trees incl the local native Adansonia Gregorii. Waterfall has not worked for quite awhile & it is evident parts of the garden is neglected. Interesting tropical trees like Ashoka Seraca (religious significance to Buddhists), toxic Suicide Tree (Cerberus Odallam) - up there with Death Cap mushies 🫣, Pride of Burma Amhertsia, Black Bean Moreton chestnut tree, Sausage Tree (er.. rr..true - from Africa) & quite few others used in perfumes, medicinal oils or just plain quirky. Main entrance is actually across the road from Mindil Sunset Beach area - look for Eva's Cafe on google which is just past entrance. Interesting sculptures scattered around, some good & others like the dinosaurs in the cycad area plain garish (cast off from elsewhere). The Centre is worth a visit for background & seed saving history. We spotted a Rufuos Owl & you will see & hear the ubiquitous native scrubfowls. Wld be really good to visit this special garden in the wet season - bit too hot, humid & parched on our guided tour on Sun 27/7/25 a week ago to enjoy it properly though I still did!

Nice place. Very good café, the best I experienced in 65 days in Australia. It,s a pity the botanical garden focus that little on local plants and mentions that little scientific names and geographic distribution of plants in the garden. Concerning that matter I am much in favor of the botanical garden of Perth that I visited the 1st of September.

Beautiful gardens to visit and stroll around!! The path is a bit all over the place so it’s not easy to find your way around if you want to visit everywhere. Needs more signage too but it definitely had a decent range of plants!! Probably takes about an hour to walk around the whole thing

We came to have a look the garden today (5 June 2025 ), went to their information centre, got the map of the garden. Very difficult to follow the map and the actual garden especially when you're an elderly. A few section were closed today. The garden itself was well kept, tidy and clean. Ended up spending the whole morning at the nice Cafe there.

Truly a wonderful place Anyone could enjoy these gardens. You don't have to travese over the entire park to enjoy the beautiful plants Relax on a chair there are plenty and take in the surroundings.

This place has changed so much since I was hear about 15 years ago. Loads of things to see. Best to go early, before the heat if you can. But the cafe is great for a refresher, good drinks and a cool spot. I loved the lilies. My daughter thrilled to find a Jackfruit tree as it's one of her favourite fruits. The Boab garden and dragon garden were especially enchanting. A couple of areas are under renovation, so there'll be more to look forward to next time!

Huge portions and honestly probably the best avocado toast I’ve had. Free still and sparkling water. Lovely setting too! Just sad we didn’t get to go back a second time.

Been coming to Darwin for years during winter and Darwin festival. The one and only consistent place to eat and have a great coffee is Rays! Perfect Mushroom stack with Poached eggs. Perfectly soft organic sourdough even after lightly toasted! ❣️❣️❣️

Okay I think I just went to the best cafe I’ve ever experienced.. this never happens. After travelling Australia and doing loads of reviews at cafes Ray Cafe & Patisserie now sits at top spot. The staff were so inviting and helpful, and my croissant melted in my mouth. The good vibes inside plus the yum cap just finished it all off. Thanks crew!

The food is great, big portions, and prices accordingly. The staff is nice and friendly However, it gets loud so not the best place to work at. I enjoyed it!

Nice place with a large shaded courtyard to cater for small and larger groups. Good menu options and if you love your coffee on the strong side, this is the place for you. Had the scrambled eggs which was big and tasty! A well patronised place! Wonderful staff, excellent service.

Visiting as a family of four, with our just turned 3 year old. I went to order our breakfast and the lady stated she would not accomodate with making scrambled eggs for my child but instead I could buy a full adults scrambled egg meal. We left and took our business elsewhere. Was not impressed. We ended up at perk and palate which was very accommodating and had fantastic food, service and atmosphere.

Such a beautiful spot for a walk. The path is quite narrow and not really enough room for the mountain bikes whizzing along it but it's a beautiful spot nonetheless.

Loved this beach, although it is currently being tended to by the local municipality. It is a very lively spot for watching the sunset, and it can get especially busy on nights that the night market is open (Mindil Beach Night Market). It is well worth spending a few hours there at sunset taking it all in. Lovely views, and it is a place that seems to draw the crowds and bring people together. Bring a towel, blanket, or chairs to rest and enjoy the sunset. There are also some seashells around, and the sand is soft. The area is well kept and clean.

Mindil beach market is a must see when visiting Darwin. Culturally diverse with everything from croc & buffalo pies to stuffed chicken wings, fresh calamari, crepes, terrific Indian at Dr Yummy & much more! Settle with your food & watch the sunset to the cool tunes from 1 of our first nation's buskers playing acoustic guitar as you dreamily watch yachts sail off into the sunset. Catch a camel ride along the beach if that's your thing. Later view some whip cracking courtesy of Mick's whips & browse the many market stalls with a plethora of things on offer. Fine red brown established sand dunes. Sunsets framed by tree trunks as the sun sinks into the vast ocean. Vibrant market with many flavours, clothing stalls with fantastic printed designs & a natural mosquito repellent cream on offer.

Great place to watch the sunset over the ocean and to walk your dogs 🐕 off leash. If you don't like crowds, don't go on the nights the markets are on. You also can not take your dogs to the markets, and they must be on leash on market nights.

The best place to go on a Thursday (or Sunday) night. The number of stalls were down, assumedly due to the Darwin festival, but still worth the experience. If in Darwin you just have to go to these markets...

Recommend going there at sunset for some of the most beautiful sunset views you will see. Also go there when the markets are on, there's heaps of great stalls and tasty food available.

What a gem this is!!! It is an oasis and several minutes from Darwin central. Located right on Fannie Bay, enjoy a cool beverage or order food from the separate building . Best crumbed calamari ever!! Sit back and just relax! There is also a large pool area for members. Non-members can pay $5.00 pp at the bar, and you can swim. We loved it because hardly anyone was using the pool midweek. We enjoyed early lunches, and we returned twice in 7 days and met a lovely couple around the pool. There is plenty of parking and toilets at the rear of the building where you order your food - separate from the waterfront bar. Staff were friendly, and the whole vibe was chilled. There is also a children's play area and lots of tables and seating under umbrellas outside or undercover. ✔️✔️👌

The kids pasta is huge, that’s a cheap meal to serve and price We had the barramundi for $36 it was tiny, it was the portion size you would give yourself when you are on a diet My boyfriend had a brownie before dinner and he still couldn’t it it all… so bland Extremely disappointing

Had a great afternoon at the Darwin Ski Club. Good food, music with pool & playground for kids. Pub style food & pizzas. Beautiful sunset.

Great spot to enjoy a drink & bite to eat with your dog. If you’re travelling in Darwin check out the Museum, Art Gallery & cyclone Tracy exhibit which is across the road. We tag teamed & relaxed at the club.

Located on a bus route this venue has direct access to the beach and a great sunset. Relatively cheap wine menu. Some dinner items can be overpriced so select well. I ordered the veggie curry and a friend ordered the chicken... have a look at the fotos to decide which was the better option. Fair walking distance between sitting tables and kitchen. Personally it is not my favorite and I won't be going there again. But everyone is different so try it if u must.

Great place for sunset. Small playground helped entertain the kids, as did exploring the beach and dancing to the great live music on a Friday night. Nice atmosphere, happy hour, more tables than I expected (wasn't hard to find a place to sit).

We had a work function here and the service was exceptional! They provided wrist bands for the bar tab for easy identification. They cornered off an area for us with tables and chairs (with a smoking area). The food was set out in Bain Marie's and was lovely! Roast meats, salad, roast veg, salad and cakes! Nom nom nom!! Gorgeous sunsets and lovely relaxing atmosphere! Could spend every afternoon here!

I recently stayed here with my mum, There was so much false advertising for this hotel and we were very disappointed, There is no bar or restaurant attached when we booked we were under the impression that there would be a buffet breakfast available at the restaurant and bar attached to the hotel, they aren't open so instead we where given 3 options a day at a local cafe down stairs and around the corner, while it was nice after 9 days it got boring and we weren't allowed to use the vouchers for any other meals so we ended up loosing money and giving them to the staff at the Rydges to use. We had to pay an extra $29 per night for car parking, the card details were taken upon check in and since leaving we keep receiving phone calls about payment when it has already been paid for! It shouldn't cost any extra to park as it is. The pool is very small and doesn't look at all like the photos online. The shower didn't drain properly so had to stand in about an inch of water during a shower and no body wash was in the container. The beds were really uncomfortable and my back was killing me the whole time we stayed there. There isn't even a microwave available to use in the room. No cutlery to make anything we had to buy plastic knives and forks. When they clean your room they don't clean the room properly. We had to ask for extra toilet paper after they had already been. Overall very disappointed in our stay and the general consensus with other people I spoke to staying there felt similarly. I wouldn't recommend staying here the city was really dead apart from on the weekends.

Staff is polite and cooperative. Clean facilities. Building, rooms and lobby are old and not modern. I chose room with kitchenette. Onsite parking available at a cost. Location is excellent in Darwin CBD. Its categorised as 4 star hotel but old style building, room and furniture speaks otherwise. Overall stay was fine and had no major issues.

What’s good: the location. that’s it. The service was non-existent. You have to self check in and check out via a little computer. I mean.. it’s supposed to be a 4 stars hotel ??? I booked by mistake 2 rooms and explained the situation several times to the guys at the reception and absolutely no effort was made to help me get a refund. I really felt like I was bothering them even though I was very calm and nice… that’s a shame. :( all they could say was: “it’s our policy” The room was very basic and the shower was terrible with very very low water flow. I absolutely do not recommend this place. Go to Cavenagh Hotel instead! It’s cheaper and the people are really nice there !!!

Had an unpleasant experience during my stay. While I was quietly sitting in the lobby, a staff member came over and told me to "sit properly" because of their "new furniture." I wasn't doing anything wrong or causing damage-just sitting comfortably. He said, "Mate, can you sit properly please?" The tone was unnecessarily condescending, and the use of "mate" felt patronizing since I'm not his buddy. On top of that, it was obvious he treated other guests differently. Honestly, the staff at the McDonald's next door are more courteous. As a paying guest, I expect basic respect and common courtesy. Being singled out over something so trivial made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome-definitely not the treatment I expect from a hotel. The rooms were clean, and most of the staff I interacted with were polite and friendly, but this one incident really ruined my stay.

We accidentally made a double booking at this hotel and realized it only when checking in. We immediately explained the situation and asked to cancel one of the two rooms. The second room was never used, and not prepaid. A staff member told us the hotel was fully booked and refused the cancellation. However, this was clearly a lie — we checked online and found multiple room types still available for the same dates. We contacted them twice, politely asking for a goodwill cancellation, but they completely refused — hiding behind policy instead of showing any understanding or flexibility. In the end, they charged us for a room we didn’t use for even one minute. This was not just inflexible — it was deliberately dishonest. This kind of treatment is unacceptable. If you expect honesty and even basic customer service, I recommend you stay far away from this hotel. One of the worst experiences I’ve had in years of traveling.

Helpful service conscious oriented staff helped made stay pleasant. Mr Taylor Nguyen was so helpful with finding tape and even a Woolworths Bag to carry my stuff for onward journey. Kudos, bravo, 👏🏻👏🏻👍👍keep it up

Location was really good as it was centre of CBD. Hotel is tired and ordinary. Our kitchenette had 25 year old bench tops and just a microwave. Housekeeping was a bit haphazard filling tea/coffee and did not supply wash cloths. Room was good size. We signed up and did not get any discounts and staff were not helpful. Suggested we use the card readers to checkout. We received several emails to pay in advance and checked if they were scams.

This beach is a sight to behold, with its spectacular sunset views and cute crabs. The crabs are constantly burrowing in the sand, leaving behind tiny little holes and sand formations that are worth noticing. You can spend hours watching the crabs go about their business any evening or simply enjoy the peace and tranquility of the spectacular sunset.

The beach at Casuarina is one of Northern Territory's best kept secrets. Beautiful stretch of sand on Gulf's edge, good swimming and a diving platform. Clean facilities and helpful staff make this a great place to spend the day!

The sand part of the beach isn't the prettiest, however there is plenty of room (especially at low tide) and the sandstone cliff edges are picturesque. Facilities close by including open air showers to wash the sand and salt off

I had such a great experience thanks to Sarah and Erica! Their customer service was absolutely amazing, they were so kind, welcoming, and attentive. They took the time to explain the menu in detail, gave us excellent recommendations, and made the whole experience feel really special. Lovely meal for my husband’s birthday. We had the charcuterie board which was huge followed by steak. Beautifully presented and we didn’t need the sides that we also ordered. Nice service from Francisco who was very attentive. We had booked an inside table in the AC but were put outside in the deck because of a party inside. The downside of that was that it was really hot which spoilt our enjoyment a little. Would definitely recommend and would revisit.

We hosted our baby’s first birthday (Zhuazhou) at Wharf One and couldn’t be happier! The venue was stunning, food was delicious, and service was exceptional. We ate there for a friend’s birthday. We ordered Beef Brisket and Pork Belly and they were both delicious and had generous servings. The staff led by Alana did a fantastic job in serving us. We couldn’t fault it. Definitely would recommend this restaurant to my friends and families. God bless you guys.

Booked ahead and got a table on the beach. The sunset was spectacular. The live entertainment was very good. Choice of drinks was good. Food was good quality pub level. Would have liked a few lighter options. Service was friendly.

The atmosphere by the beach is fantastic, especially if you come just before sunset. Food was okay (this does not mean it is bad). Definitely more of casual outing.

Hats off to Chef Rohan. He is the best and he makes the finest Nepali cuisine for buffet in town, and nobody can compete. Every single dish was absolutely delicious; whatever you taste here, it’s the best, no doubt about it. The hospitality was outstanding too. We never had to call anyone for top-ups or other service, the staff came by themselves, attentive and caring throughout. The service was smooth, and all of our guests were just as impressed, constantly complimenting the food. From start to finish, it was a perfect dining experience. Shoutout to the Chef and the team. I have just returned to Darwin for a holiday 32yrs after leaving as a teen. This place holds great memories for me and to be able to come back with my hubby was lovely. Such a lovely place to sit and admire the view.

Amazing food and venue, tipped up for lunch and watched the storm roll in. Huge portions sizes and delicious meals.

View amazing, service friendly. Value less than great though-$20 cerviche gave what felt like about 20 g of fish (7cm x5cm bowl total with filler veg) and a whole lot of rice crackers, croc fillet and S&P squid also expensive for the size of serve provided. Tasty enough. I wonder it maybe the larger dishes are better value?

Nice cafe with a LOT of options!!! The cashier explained the menus and was very helpful. I was so glad this unique cafe was open around 1430 (2:30pm) as everything around seemed to be closed from 1300-1730. The chef was very nice and brought my pizza out personally. The pizza was very tasty and had just the right balance of toppings. Thanks for saving the day, chef!

We are staying in Darwin for a few days and we’re just wandering around checking out the place and looking for dinner. We are so glad we went in. The service is great and the cafe has an awesome vibe about it. Service was great, we were told up front it was a 30min wait as they were busy, it was only a little longer than what they advised, but we were ok to wait. We popped back the next day for breakfast, although I was really looking forward to the deserts in their display case - that’s next on my list of things to try from Salvatores before we leave Darwin next week !

Love Salvatore's but last couple of online pickup orders have been a bit disappointing 😞.. 2mths ago we ordered Fish'n'chips and burgers and they were amazing.. not sure if its a different chef but definitely a change. I hv included pics.

I had walked by Salvatores Cafe last night, it looked good to me, but I already had had dinner, so I decided to go back today This place aims at offering good value for money, and does it well The menu is extensive For food you can find breakfast items, snacks, kids menu, sandwiches, salads, seafood, chicken, beef, pizza, pasta, gnocchi, breads, risotto, burgers, ribs, cakes... Some gluten-free options, bread baked in-home daily For drinks, you can get coffee, tea, milkshake, fresh fruit juice, beer, red wine, white wine... I personally had creamy garlic prawns, which came with coconut rice and garlic bread ; and a freshly pressed orange juice, and I liked them both Lots of seats inside, and lots outside Wifi available Friendly staff, passionate about their job I could hear a conversation with some regulars, always a good sign The place has been active for more than 25 years, for a reason Recommended!

Great food with an amazing view. The burger was cooked perfectly and came with some delicious chips. If you’re in this area, I highly recommend you stop by here. They also have some pretty amazing views of the sunset here and there is a walking pack that leads along the cliffs overlooking the ocean.

We were delighted to find this cafe restaurant at the end of our walk along from Nightcliff Beach. The service and the food were really good but it is the atmosphere which does it. Lovely views and an ideal place just to sit have coffee and breakfast. Hard to find anything better at the end of a walk.

Beautiful food, location and service. Really enjoyed the "volume appropriate" live music. Ordered the Barramundi, which was fabulous. Only disappointment was the fish is advertised as having a pine nut and currant salad but it is really just a light garnish at best. Very tasty but the fish would have benefitted from more of it. Loved watching the sunset too.

Great varied menu with an awesome spot overlooking the sea. The service was friendly and the food tasty - with very generous serving sizes. Blueberry may have was more blueberry than matcha! But tasty nonetheless, as were the frappes. Great spot in darwin.

Foreshore Café in Nightcliff is a lovely spot with a beautiful beach view. The space is comfortable, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. It’s always busy, especially on weekends, but the staff are friendly and the food is delicious. We really enjoy spending time there!

The place was humming for a Sunday and I was surprised how fast the food came out and drinks. I can't fault the service or food. The view is so relaxing

Very ordinary Avo smash on dry toast with equally dry bacon. There are cafes who put their own signature on this popular all day brekkie fav but not here. Tea was proper infused tea leaves - good. Nice location at one end of Cavenagh St. Sit alfresco if you wish.

I was in Darwin just 2 nights but ended up having breakfast here both times. Food was fresh and fast, staff were lovely, and the coffee was great. As well as the usual egg/toast/avo combinations there’s a healthier almond and pepita granola (which was superb), oats with banana and berries, a mango chia pudding, and delicious banana pancakes. If it’s too steamy you can eat indoors, but everyone else is enjoying the Darwin lifestyle outside on the covered veranda.

Great location and nice atmosphere. Good is actually quite good. Some of the young servers are learning. However it's just a very nice place. I'll be back for a good breakfast in a nice location again.

We had the Eggs Benedict. Food was okay the hollandaise sauce was so salty. I felt like I dipped my mouth in the ocean. Great atmosphere. Loved the plants by the balcony.

My recent visit to Karma Cafe was far from positive. The strawberry pancakes were a significant letdown. The bottom of the stack was disappointingly soggy, almost watery, which completely ruined the texture. The promised maple syrup seemed to be absent, or if present, undetectable – the flavor was certainly lacking. It neither looked nor tasted like genuine maple syrup had been used. Frankly, it was a far cry from what I'd expect, especially for a weekly special. My flat white was equally average, and the service was indifferent. Overall, a disappointing experience that fell short of expectations, especially given the cafe's reputation.

This little gem was a surprise I stumbled upon one day and I'm glad I went back to confirm that it wasn't just a once off good experience. Great coffee. Delicious food, so many great options it's hard to choose 👀 Bacon cooked to perfection 🥓👌 A choice of portion sizes for if you just want a light breaky. Amazing smoothies, had to wrestle it away from my kid so I could have some 😄 I could go on and on! The staff are lovely too, it is refreshing to be treated like a human and not just a number. Will definitely be back for more! 💯💯💯

This is a great place for breakfast/ brunch. The coffee, smoothie bowls and pancakes we had were delicious. It’s a bit tricky to find, tucked behind a play area, look out for the chalk board sign they put out! Worth the cab ride to visit.

Go there!! We went there 3 days in a row for breakfast/lunch. Every meal was excellent and made with care. A lot of choice as well. The omelette filled with vegetables was my favorite! I wish we we're still there to go back. Highly recommended!!!!

Many healthy options and excellent and beautifully presented coffee. There is charging here if you Drive a tesla also. The staff are friendly and very fit which ties in.nicely with the cafes theme. I foolishly Forgot to photograph my bacon.and eggs. They were well presented too! I Think the sign should read 'Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you never imagined`

Absolutely amazing goat curry! It’s been a while since I’ve had a goat curry that melts in my mouth. It wasn’t too spicy either (just the way I prefer). Lovely service too

We had an extremely disappointing dinner experience. The chicken in the sizzler was undercooked (photo attached). Mistakes can happen, but the staff insisted it wasn’t raw even after we showed the visibly pink, uncooked section. The rest of the food chatpate and momo was quite average as well. Overall, our short transit in Darwin ended on a disappointing note and a trip to Maccas after spending $90+ here.

We had an amazing experience dinning at this restaurant. Food was great. Staff seemed very helpful and professional. Price was reasonable. I have been eating in many restaurants but I find this one very special. We had a booking for 10 but we ended up being 16, the staff accommodated all of us. We tried various items from the menu. Jhol Momo had authentic Nepali taste, and momo was juicy. Jhol of momo was average but really enjoyed it. Pani puri was mouthwatering, all of us enjoyed it a lot. Samos chat was perfect, decent size and reasonable price. Fish was amazing with noodles. Chicken Choila seemed very traditional and had the amazing flavours. Fried and steam momo were amazing too. All of us enjoyed every item that we ordered. The place has enough parkings and has vegetarian options as well. I really enjoyed the matka tea at the end. Thank you team for awesome food and amazing memories. Will definitely be back next time…👌👌👌👌😊😊

I ordered the Pani Puri enjoyable entree — an explosion of delicious fresh flavours. The vegan momos were nice would be good if they had a vegan sauce to go with. Keen to try the other vegan menu items. Friendly service and nice atmosphere.

For a small place it's got a lot on the menu. I had the goat curry which had good flavour but not enough meat on the bones. It was too fiddly and I didn't enjoy eating it. The momos with dipping sauce were great and the burgers were tremendous. I'll be Back to try other things on the menu for sure.

I recently enjoyed two visits to Cyclone Cafe, and I can confidently say that both experiences were exceptional. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly, making each meal a pleasure. I also enjoy the coffee—it was rich and satisfying, perfectly complementing my meal. One of the best kept secrets in Parap. Open early for breakfast and lunch. A lovely, friendly atmosphere and excellent coffee and food presentation are what this Cafe is famous for...try it next time you are wondering where you would like just a coffee, breakfast or a light lunch. You won't be disappointed.

Fantastic breakfast experience. The food was delicious and fresh (date scone with jam, and scrambled eggs on toast). The coffee was divine (large mocha - no sugar). Visually, the shop was spotless, and the walls were dressed with art that were also for sale. Easy to get to by car from Darwin CBD and plenty of timed parking outside. Visited on a Monday morning at 10:00am

Shared a large cinnamon palmiere here this morning 2/9/24, gorgeous pastry, super fresh finger licking good. The rest of the pastry delights looked amazing. Coffee was very good, service was friendly and efficient. The brunch/lunch menu looked interesting and we'll be back to try it. We sat outside in the front to catch the breeze as it was too hot for us inside. Great looking place, too bad its not the sort of building that lends itself to better cooling. Highly recommend a stop here.

there’s a car park inside I first didnt know it so I drove around the road seeing some car parked along the street but then I went inside and asked the staff and I just knew that there’s a car park inside not many bays and luckily I can park my car there. I found the coffee really good. I ordered a Macca iced. It’s a big cup I love it. I also love the atmosphere at this coffee shop.

One of Darwin's best kept secrets. It took me a year to find this place Has the feel of a great cafe. Only place I know in Darwin that stocks a good almond croisant. That alone sets it apart. This place is real.

Went for a quick lunch & really enjoyed the Reuben sandwich & was impressed on how it was presented. Had a 'to die for' drink from the daily specials board so be sure to read that...so so good 👏👏

Can't even afford a new cup? And it's not even clean. Ordered a peacan tart which the waitress completely forgot about it, I had to went back to the counter and asked for it.

This was really cool. Walking around the various streets looking at the different street art was excellent. The artists were very talented. A good way to spend a couple of hours.

The recently renovated lobby / pool is AMAZING! The room was large, however in need of refreshing. The bed needs replacing soon, and the shower could have mould removed or be re-grouted to remove the stains. There were also baby cockroaches in the bathroom every time I went in there. No soundproofing in the room- I could hear my neighbours talking as if they were in my room, and then entering / exiting their room sounded like they were opening my door. The rooms are a fair distance to walk from the lobby, however they dropped me to my room on a golf cart upon checkin, unsure if they offer the same service for check out.

I love staying here because it's Short walk from the airport. I absolutely loved the new pool and buffet breakfast! Great place to start any Darwin adventure! Unfortunately my room was a bit smelly and I found half eaten burger and fries in the dresser drawer 😫

Positives: - Room was clean - Pool and outdoor facilities are beautiful - Location is convenient, close to airport and easy to get a taxi - Free shuttle bus to airport Negatives: - Unsafe, there are random drunk people screaming. There were police onsite several times during my trip - Room was very basic for the price. The bathroom was substandard - Staff are not welcoming - Overpriced for the quality Overall I wouldn’t stay here again if I had another choice

Pool = Amazing - though quite cool in the dry season. New lobby area beautiful. Location so easy to get to from airport and then to travel around from. The negative would be the service. Despite classing themselves as a resort and having a huge pool area, there was no service for food or drink to the pool, you have to walk all the way to the main lobby bar and await the slow service, then go back and get your food when your buzzer goes off, it can be a 50-100m walk given the length of the pool, wastes heaps of time, so this was really disappointing. On top of that, we felt the morning breakfast in the Mercure was usually cold, cramped and busy and the general service from the workers was just quite grumpy and non hospitable. There was one really nice waitress who stood out massively. The rooms in the Mercure were quite old, but they did the job, and you do NOT notice any airport noise, the only thing we had was a few FA-18s fly around one day which was pretty cool, but the airport location isn't a concern at all.

Firstly we booked a travel cot, landed at 10pm and unfortunately as I expected the travel cot was not in the room set up as it should have been. This was frustrating given how late it was. Secondly we booked a late check out to 6pm the next day. We got locked out of our room around 1pm and couldn't contact anyone to let us in. We needed to shower and get ready for our flight and we had to wait outside for about 20mins until someone let us in. No apologies from staff. He just said you are supposed to re do your key card in the morning so this doesn't happen. That's all well and good but no one told us this. I'd expect a refund given the price you pay to have such inconvenient mistakes.

We stayed in the pool suite and it was just fantastic. Clean, spacious, and a private pool. Of course there is airport noise but it's not that loud. The main outdoor pool is spectacular and there is also another pool that is inside the mecure hotel. Also it is a very easy walk from the airport to the hotel if you don't need the complimentary shuttle. It was a maximum of 5 minutes and you can check in at the desk near the pool and cafe or at the mecure desk. Mecure/novotel and ibis can all be checked in at the same place. From the reviews I was concerned but our experience couldn't have been better.

Such a beautiful resort! The villa was incredible; the pools are great and the proximity to the airport is awesome. Service is something that could be improved: a friendly smile goes a long way. Our room wasn't ready 3 hours after check-in. The positives were the pirvate pool, the food, and location.

We must say that this was one of the best caravan parks we’ve stayed at. All the staff including reception and care takers were amazing. So helpful and polite. We all enjoyed our stay here including our 2 dogs, amazing dog area which they loved. The toilets and showers were always clean and nice hot water with good pressure. The pool areas were fantastic and the bistro area was so relaxing with live music to enjoy. We’d like to thank everyone here for a great experience. Warwick and myself give this park a 10 out of 10 🥰

We just recently held our wedding at free spirit resort. Excellent staff cannot promote Jewel enough for helping planning and supporting us from beggining of planning to staying late on the night. Great guest rates for our family alongside our wedding booking, Awesome air-conditioned marquee that held spaces for our kids area, bar and buffet. Our cabin for the 2 nights was spacious with kitchenette. We love coming to elements just for a good feed and was the perfect spot for our wedding. Love the new look for the pool area ❤️

We recently celebrated our daughter 1st birthday at Darwin FreeSpirit Resort, and it honestly couldn’t have been a more perfect venue. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, convenient, and just what we needed for a special day with family and friends. The air-conditioned function room was spacious, clean, and beautifully lit with natural light, which made it super comfortable for both kids and adults (especially in Darwin’s heat!). The location is ideal, easy for guests to get to, with plenty of parking and a relaxed, tropical vibe as soon as you enter the resort. We had external vendors come in to set up soft play and decorations, and the team at FreeSpirit was so flexible and accommodating—nothing was too hard, and they really helped take the stress out of the day. Every staff member we spoke to was friendly, professional, and genuinely supportive. You can tell they care about their guests having a great experience. The food was delicious and came out exactly on time—hot, fresh, and with generous portions. We had so many compliments from our guests! We had our wedding at FreeSpirit Resort few weeks ago and it was truly a flawless experience from start to finish. Jewel went above and beyond to cater to all our needs and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the day. Wether it was the endless emails, million questions or last minute changes nothing was ever a issue. The venue set up was everything we could’ve ever imagined and knowing Jewel and the team were there meant we could fully relax. One thing that really stood out was their attention to dietary requirements — they ensured there were plenty of delicious gluten-free and dairy-free options available, which our guests really appreciated and loved. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, and we felt completely supported the entire time. The venue itself is beautiful, and the service was exceptional. We stayed in an Studio room. Clean and well presented. Aircon and fan on, when I entered the room. It was a welcome relief from the warm weather outside. Shower very refreshing after spending a couple of weeks in the bush. All the usual things in a Studio room. Laundries in park all well equipped with washers and dryers. Camp kitchens were also very clean and well maintained. Lounge Areas were comfortable too. It's a great park. Cheers and thanks to all the staff who made our stay very comfortable...

This place is just a magnificent holiday oasis. The bar staff and restaurant do above and beyond for you. They are extremely busy and still serve you with a warm greeting and smile. They operate the area with such professionalism and purpose to ensure everyone is happy. Management if you read this please let all staff know they do an amazing job which keeps us returning.

Excellent park. We had a powered caravan site. We paid a little extra for premium site which was larger with grass & slab. Very well kept grounds, very clean & roomy amenities. Good food at bar & bistro on site. One main pool with 2 smaller ones. Camp kitchen with everything you may need. Very secure with coded gates for entry & exit. Fuel out front, very close to shopping centre & easy access from highway. Highly recommend.

I was there on a low tied and the water retracts far back on the low so I had lots of beach to explore. Amazing colors in the water and sky. Storm brewing in distant horizon. Just spectacular!!

As everyone else has said, the sunsets are stunning! Especially when a bush fire has put some smoke in front of the setting sun. There’s a good car park, BBQ’s and toilets in the reserve before the beach. The beach is massive with the sea going out a long way. You should watch out for crocodiles near the shore but the chances of one being there is remote. But could be!

Nice beach! Not too crowded, but most people there had a dog - some not on leash that should be but overall nice and safe area. Recommend to take a picnic here or stroll along the beach Watch out for Crocs in water 😁

Beautiful beach; great sunset, a quieter sunset spot (compared to other Darwin beaches). We visit for walks at sunrise and sunset all year round. There is lots of explore and the beach looks different everyday; based on the time of year and the tide. Great spot for the whole family. Good place for walking dogs (however you only walk them in one direction, due to nesting birds - check signs).

The park itself was a very picturesque place, 2 good pools, clean amenities block and strict on the 5kms speed limit. The only issues that we had was they had around 3 washing machines out of order for part of our stay. Close enough to Darwin centre to not be a problem. Sites are a pretty generous in size. Just make sure that you clean the bat droppings off the awning before putting it away. Besides that we had a pretty good week there.

I loved our drive through site it was tidy and spacious and I didn't feel hemmed in. The ablutions are old but clean. The hot water taps are on the opposite side than usual so don't be fooled into thinking there's no hot water There are two pools both freezing but the one at the front doesn't attract the kids so peaceful for us oldies. It's close to everything in Darwin CBD but a little further from other attractions. It's expensive at $72 dollars and that's booking early with a discount. Noise from the airport is definitely heard but it didn't bother me or keep me awake there was some distant noise from the speedway over the weekend but again it wasn't a bother to us.

Location really suited us. Management was very understanding when we requested a site change as we were staying for three weeks. Thank you. Would have liked to see a little more attention given to the surrounding gardens etc as we were paying top dollar Only discovered ‘new’ area the day before we left. Much nicer! Serious money and effort has been put into the highway end of the park. Hopefully working through the park and this will also solve their plumbing issues! Two pools is a bonus. Would stay again acknowledging the planes and the fact that all parks in Darwin are expensive.

Nice but not quiet. Great location, close to everything. The pool is supposed to be closed at 7pm. Yet there a loud vermin children and parents still there afterwards and it isn't closed! Maybe the after hours number could be answered to report that we had no water.

We stayed early October and occupancy seemed less than 10pct yet we were put immediately next to others -why? Our spot was awkward to back into due to untrimmed shrubbery. As with all Discovery Parks they post a 5kmh speed limit, but on one occasion we followed the groundsman on his electric cart only to later have him chip me for speeding by following him!

We stayed here for 2 weeks and had made 4 separate bookings as our road trip plan changed. On arrival, the staff were very nice and suggested we stay on the cheaper site for the entire stay to save us from moving around as we made 4 bookings. However, they didn’t mention the rate difference or offer any credit. When we asked, we were told the price had changed between the time we booked and when we arrived – which wasn’t true, as the same rates were still showing online. After 30 minutes of going back and forth, management finally agreed to issue a credit, but not for the full amount. In the end, the credit was never processed. Their T&Cs stated credits could only be used in Darwin Discovery Park, but we’ve stayed at Discovery Parks many times before and credits could always be used across locations. Also, they refused to give coins credit for the use of washing machine because “how do we know you will use the coin in our washing machine” We are making this review not because of the credit amount but for the handling of the situation, felt dodgy and left a very poor impression. Unfortunately, this was the worst customer service we’ve experienced at a Discovery Park.

Very clean and tidy Caravan Park with lots of amenities- pool, laundry, clean ablutions. Must say unfortunately we encountered a very grumpy staff member. Hopefully she was only having a bad day

Not much personality or atmosphere. Great setting and garden. Food is tasty but not inspiring. Pricey treat for budget travellers. Centrally located, Campos Coffee. Very popular, good for dating. The Loaded Croissant was tasty @ $19 the ingredients complimented each other well. Just not my kind a cat.

Coffee was good, good atmosphere. The food wasn't that great. as you can see my asparagus was so dry and the beans abit old. I would cone back fir rhe coffee but not for the food.

Recommended by a Darwin local, this is a great place for breakfast. Located behind Mitchell Street, it has brought a Melbourne coffee feel to the top end. A large choice of healthy (and not so healthy but very tasty 😜) items, with excellent coffee. Seating is available both inside and outside, but outside, in the shade, is what Darwin is about.

I liked the farmer's feast. Hollandaise sauce was nicely made and the eggs were well poached. This cafe is definitely a popular trendy place as there was a constant line to be served. It would be nice if there was more chorizo sausage and the bacon could be so softer.

The girls did my soy flat white super well and I couldn’t enjoy it more. A read of Darwin magazine suggests that I should try their baked goods so I had a chocolate hazelnut croissant and I highly recommend it. I also had the Farmers Feed among all others from the well designed menu which appears to be relatively ordinary for me. I’d like to see more greens on plate if possible.

Yummo! Had a chorizo sandwich and hubby had croque monsier. Delish. Really quick service. Also had an almond croissant. All tasted great. Cute little establishment. Setup looks great. I found the pricing to be very reasonable 😁

Loved the sourdough there. Flat white was also amazing. Great food though I was caught a bit surprised by the pricing as this was in premium territory. That said, I would still come back when I’m visiting Darwin.

Rooms are always clean inside and mostly serviceable. Outside power point was deteriorated. Lots of junk on the lower roof. Minor problems at check in that were unnecessary however staff were friendly. Parking underneath is good and secure and location is close to anything you could need.

This was a 5 month stay. One thing that stood out in this establishment were the staff. They were always accommodating, patient and friendly. I noticed 4 different groups of cleaning staff go through in the time we were there. Some of the cleaners were conscientious and thorough at least half were not. The room we were in needed a good deep cleaning, the mattress was a hammock and needed replacing, we went through 2 clothes dryers, the sliding door to the balcony had to have its rollers replaced as it was impossible to open. Kitchen utensils were well past their use by dates, plastic cooking utensils just aren’t very useful. I personally cleaned the aircon filters twice, the globes for the range hood kept blowing out, the noise from units above us was on occasions extremely annoying, being of concrete construction the whole place reverberates with sound and sonic repercussion. We have stayed in other Quest outlets around Australia, and have come to expect the equivalent standard of excellence and so the experience of living in the Palmerston establishment for an extended period was an eye opener in that the delivery of service, varies from one location to another. As I aforementioned, the staff were excellent and in our case, that will suffice. We never got to meet the manager, unlike other Quest establishments around the country.

The room was clean and tidy. The king size bed was great and while the service could have been a bit better, the staff were very friendly and eager to help when asked. Yep I'd stay there again, without hesitation

Safe parking, balcony for smokers or the view alone, affordable and very clean and the bed very comfortable. Great water pressure and the hot water never ran out. We booked for one night. Ended up becoming my fav local home away from home, stayed the whole weekend. Shopping centre just next door as well as the bus and taxi depot. It's everything I want and nothing I don't. Just perfect for me!

The room and amenities were good, the fridge would freeze our drinks though. The beds were comfortable and too our liking. The place is close by to shopping centres and the bar and grill restaurant downstairs was amazing. Only downfall was that we had an adjoining door and the people next door were so loud I could hear all their conversations, the yelling and laughing felt like they were in the room with us and this was from 9pm til 1am. Really need to look into insulation Other than that it was great value and would still recommend.

Camped here for a week. Amazing location, out of Darwin CBD, but has shopping centre walking distance. Pricey, but that is Darwin in peak season. Has a small dog park attached. Plenty of people camped up, but always still felt quiet, even though it was reasonably busy Friendly staff at check in

Sometimes when you are a traveler it’s the people who run the place that make all the difference When I was waiting to check in there was a bloke profusely thanking the woman behind the counter for being so wonderful and helpful Over a week long stay I can 100% back him up. Just beautiful people running a fantastic park. It’s clean and well cared for. Thanks so much guys you don’t know how much I appreciate your kindness

Good park position, was worried it was a bit far out of Darwin CBD but it was an easy drive in which we did daily for 5 days. The amenities are super dated and not good at all and the lights are on a very short timer so if using them at night be prepared to finish your shower in the dark unless another camper helps you out, which we all did. There are heaps of shops across the road like Coles and Kmart and also a big laundromat. The cinema is about 5 or so minutes up the road. Very convenient to everything.

On the outskirts as you head towards Darwin. An easy walk across to the shops and food venues. You just have to be careful crossing the highway. Next door to a servo. The grounds are nothing fancy. Not very shady, but are neat and tidy. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

BEWARE of staying at this caravan park. The caretakers are rude arrogant and they have no communication skills we asked a question to be told get out of the the park by the end of the week. The toilets block is old and you get eaten alive by mosquitoes while having a shower and they have no disability facilities. About 8 people have been kicked out in the last couple of months and a pensioner couple got kicked out when her husband was in hospital and she didn't know how to tow a caravan so she had to run around trying to get some help from someone.Definitely no compassion for anyone

Stayed 8 nights, nice quiet park, central to so much Amenities well they are old, they are clean, plenty of hot water, water pressure near non existing when more than one stall used together, exposed plumbing means easy to contact hot water supply, really why do half a job guys very much "Faulty Towers" Forgot to take gate pin for after hours entry contacted via after hours number, and messaged via sms, thank God another resident came along as I didn't get a response till mid morning the following day Over all a nice convenient park that with a little bit of tlc would have so much potential

Beautiful coastal reserve park. A bit windy. Large area with plenty of free carparks. Picnic area. Children's playground. Follow the signs, going the Dripstone cliff stairs down to the beach, and watch WWII Observation Post and then the Rock face carvings.

Long Beach and oh so quiet.. there is a nudist section also but not many people

What a beautiful place. I love Cullen Bay. Restaurants overlooking the marina and the beach. A large park looking out over the water. Many people come here to watch the sunset, it's a popular place. We started our harbour cruise from here. We found it easy to get a park during the day.

Beautiful waterfront of sandy beach. With some good restaurants nearby. Lots of parking lots and other facilities.

Lovely place to visit, walk on the beach, or eat and drink at one of the local establishments.

Cullen Bay is a beautiful spot with a small beach and parkland as well as waterfront restaurantsfacing the marina.

If you visit Darwin, put 'Cullen Bay' on your list of places to visit. What a beautiful area. A lovely place to sit at the waters edge and watch the sunset. Several great eateries all located in the area.

A popular park with space for the dogs to socialise, play and roam around in plus shade seats and shelter for everyone. It’s divided into two parks, with a big park for the medium to large dogs and a smaller park for the pups and small breed dogs to meet. The only downside (that I can see) is the agility training equipment is only in the small dog park and is too high off the ground for small dogs to use.

Ok not just discovered this dog park existed. Fantastic fencing and gardens and equipment. Nice sit down area for dog walkers and great drinking facilities. Lots of trees are great and other 2 fenced enclosures are great especially with all the newly planted trees. Great idea to ha e the double safety gates enclosure.

Beautifully fenced doh part with two fenced off areas. One larger for dogs to run. The other smaller with obstacles. Both have table and chairs with a small under cover area. Bubbles available with water bowl option at bottom for dog. Very lovely

A truly horrible dive. Dirty, with mould in the shower and a cockroach. Absolute minimum facilities. Just a tv, old style noisy aircon, bar fridge, kettle and two cups. Not even a toaster. No ccomplementary milk. Not enough parking for the number of rooms so you might have to park on the street. Reception often closed when guests were arriving. The price indicated that it would be a decent place. Stay elsewhere.

Do not stay here!! The place smells and looks dirty like it hadn’t been cleaned for years! Unfortunately I did not check the reviews before I booked on Trip. And do not even book on trip.com. Not sure how much they’re getting from all the bookings. I have no idea what the owner/manager is thinking. The kitchen is so dirty and they never wash and clean the kitchen nor their electrical appliances. They must be stupid to think that anyone could clean or cook in that dirty kitchen. Their family room was $220 with a very dirty and uncomfortable bed. They never do room service. After cleaning the pool, the owner/manager locked it! Not sure for what reason. It’s there for a reason. Also don’t trust the pics you see on google or on the internet. Looks very different .

Very dirty and faulty toilet. Service was good, extra late check in, and agreeing to refund us for the second night booked was good.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Don’t be silly like me and not check the reviews before booking! I am honestly not sure how this place is still operating. Arriving outside it looked grim & dirty, I thought “maybe inside will be better”… it wasn’t. First thing you see In reception is a sign that says “NO REFUNDS”. Now I’ve stayed in budget accommodation, but for over $100 per night you would expect the place to at least be CLEAN! Dead insects, dust & grime everywhere, all housekeeping must do is change the sheets. It looks like it hasn’t been renovated since it opened, I think every tile in the room was cracked or chipped. Holes & cracks in the walls, furniture looks like it was found on the street, the mattress feels like you are sleeping on car springs covered by a thin piece of paper. Last but not least the SMELL… it smelled like an abandoned house that hadn’t been opened since the 1950’s, no amount of deodorant or fresh air could get rid of it. If possible I would give zero stars. They must be PAYING people to keep their rating up.

Good place. Hope they can serve food and drinks in the future. Close to the CBD and sea. Just take one bus to the centre. Save money and time. The staff are very nice and friendly.

DO NOT STAY at this motel. We had 2 nights booked but left on the first day. Forfeited all monies paid and went elsewhere. This place is filthy, no hot water, tv doesn’t work, advertises WIFI but there isn’t any. Unruly guests. The only good thing is its location. The camp kitchen is disgusting. If only someone took over this place and brought it up to its potential. At the moment it is a dump. I did not feel safe there. And at $88 it is not cheap

Revised review this was first post. 1/Dirty floors, termite ridden window eves and clientele that are a bit to be desired. Excluding myself haha. Look it's not altogether horrible just not that great. Look at my pictures. And make your own Mind up. I've stayied at backpackers for a lot less than half the price and be twice as clean. The shower and the bed are clean. Now 2/ fresh paint and holes repaired. Room had been refreshed and the lady gave me a members card for the sports trailer club which have me a few dollars of my meal. A bit happier now. And would recommend a stay if budget required.

they misdiagnosed an issue & gave incorrect advise. my Nissan Patrol was diagnosed with a head gasket leak. I was leaving the country soon so I desperately sold it for extremely cheap price. The buyer asked them if the engine had been compression tested to confirm head gasket issue, but they paid it off and said from their experience it is 100% head gasket. A few weeks later the buyer told me the engine was fine and compression test turned out normal. I ended up losing a lot of money on that car.

Did my Rego Inspection and it was all sorted within 2h. Good service and no dramas.

Did not like our experience with this mechanic, we took our 4WD in knowing the issue and explained it to them. They said they will have it for the day, rang mid day saying they couldn’t hear the noise we explained to them so walked back to shop to show them. Then in the arvo they rang saying they couldn’t fit us in that day and needed it the next. This was very inconvenient for us as we planned on only having it in for one day. The next morning they came back saying they fixed the bearings which we had already gotten done recently and that they now know what the issue with the noises our car was making. We paid for something we didn’t get asked for and left with our same issue and then not being able to fix what we wanted. Their workshop was messy and staff were unprofessional on their phones instead of working and saying stuff to us clients that we didn’t need to know. We left very angry for our time and money being wasted.
