Specialty Museums
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a museum dedicated to the history of rock and roll. It features displays on the music, the performers, and the industry. The museum is located in Cleveland, Ohio.
Crossed this off my Bucket List on 10.13.2025. All genres of music are represented here as well as the cities that influenced various types of music. There are not enough words to describe how Awesome and captivating this is and how it immerses you in the music. The Elvis, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Bon Jovi displays were Spectacular, and the exhibit dedicated to 1984 was Outstanding! The actual Hall of Fame walls showcasing the musicians and bands displayed the legends and several unique entries. Highly recommend to any music fan and anyone visiting Cleveland. Definitely can't wait to revisit when I am in Ohio again.

It's such a cool place. It's clean. It's big, the staff are friendly. There are lots of exhibits to look at. Several interactive exhibits. Nice gift shop. The exhibits are great. Lots of neat things from all of your favorites. You can even vote for who you want to be inducted. It's definitely worth a visit when you're in town.
Brenda B — Google review
We stopped by Cleveland on our way back from our Canada road trip to South Carolina and spent one night in the downtown area. We visited the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame — and even though I’m not a huge fan of rock and roll, it turned out to be such a great experience! We stayed for almost four hours and could’ve stayed even longer if my youngest had been a little older (he was 2 at the time and just turned 3). It’s no secret that I’ve been listening to Bon Jovi songs on repeat all summer, and now my 3-year-old can sing “It’s My Life” pretty well too 😉 Definitely worth a visit!
Kate W — Google review
It's an experience you'll never forget! Every genre, every era, every artist, every record company, and every performance...are on display. They even have a section where you can jam with your friends with provided instruments and amps! This is a place for music enthusiasts from everywhere around the world. Watch special videos, clips, interviews, and concerts...whatever tickles your fancy musically, it's all there! So, if you love music of all types and genres...this is where you need to be! It's not going to take just a couple of hours to experience RRHF, you'll need a whole day to take in and experience every exhibition that this museum has to offer! If you take my advice, attend this museum as close to its opening the doors as possible, because you'll want to be in before the crowd comes in! Their café is pretty good too! Trust me!😉 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏾=4.98(they're currently making addictions!)
Terrance H — Google review
We had limited time, but the floors we explored were great... Parking was not great, but found some within short walking distance. The café food was expensive, but tasted real good. Nice energy throughout and lots to learn and experience. Enjoyed the top floor dedicated currently to Bon Jovi!!! Can't wait to go back!
Kristen L — Google review
It was a great day at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Could be a little bit overwhelming but it's fantastic! To see the paper/ notebooks that artists wrote songs on is really cool. You definitely need time though it's not an hour in and out you need at least 3-4 hours if you like looking and reading everything about what you are looking at. Seeing the instruments 🎸🎷 🎹that some of your favorite artists used and reading about where they played etc is so cool!
Ilene M — Google review
It was the most encompasing thrill of musical talent I've ever seen. The multi level experiences are designed to focus on music through the decades. The first level has videos masterfully spliced to take you back to musical performances you thought you forgot. 50 years of SNL was featured, and the top flóor was a special dedicated to Bon Jovi. All genres represented in a thrilling way to show the evolution of R 'n R. I especially enjoyed the interactive one hit wonders of 45's...I spent an hour choosing and listening to songs of my past! This is a bucket list must for all music lovers. Check out the garage & play instruments. It's genius planning for a musical day!
Diane S — Google review
-An Absolute must visit for Music lovers!- 🎶🎙️🎹 The exhibits are thoughtfully curated and take you on an incredible journey through the history of rock, from its roots to modern icons. The building itself is stunning, with an atmosphere that perfectly captures the spirit and energy of rock & roll. Each floor is packed with treasures, legendary instruments, stage outfits, handwritten lyrics, and powerful tributes to the artists who shaped generations. The interactive displays make it even more fun, letting you dive deeper into the stories behind the music. A real highlight was the Power of Rock Experience show in the theater. It’s incredibly moving and makes you feel like you’re part of the Hall of Fame induction moments. What I loved most was the sense of inspiration everywhere. You don’t just learn about music, you feel it. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or just curious, it’s an unforgettable experience that celebrates creativity, culture, and the power of music. And don't forget to create amazing stickers! ;)

Museums
The Cleveland Museum of Art, established in 1916, is a popular destination in Ohio, attracting over half a billion visitors annually. The museum boasts an impressive collection of nearly 45,000 artifacts spanning 6,000 years. Its exhibits are elegantly displayed in chronological order, showcasing the evolution of renowned artists throughout history. Additionally, the museum offers a special play area for children and hosts various events and exhibits.
A Beautiful and Enjoyable Experience! 🌟📸 This place is absolutely beautiful — very clean and well-organized 🧼✨. The exhibits are full of informative and engaging content 🖼️📚. You’re free to take unlimited photos and videos, which makes it perfect for capturing memories 🎥📷. There are clean and comfortable rest areas, food services, and restrooms 🍽️🚻 — all well-maintained. Parking is $15 🚗💵, but general admission is free, which is a great bonus! 🎉 Plan to spend at least 3 hours here ⏳ — there’s plenty to explore, learn, and enjoy. Whether you’re looking for a cozy place to hang out, grab a bite, or even go on a casual date, this spot is perfect 💑☕. Highly recommended! 👍🌿
Tseegy — Google review
The website stated 6,000 years of art, and that's no exaggeration. The museum has multiple rooms and levels with a plethora of really amazing works. The European and Middle East exhibitions featuring biblical artwork were really moving and spectacular. The American painters were well represented and there was much beautiful period furniture. The Egyptian displays are also fascinating and in amazing condition. We were hoping to see the current exhibition, but it was sold out. Admission is free! Parking was $14.00 for non members. There is also a very nice gift shop as well. Highly recommend this museum, but it is an all day affair to see it all.
Eric G — Google review
We love visiting every few months. Only downfall... some of the workers don't say anything & stare at you. It's kinda weird. Remember, no food or drinks in the exhibit. If you have a bag, you must carry it. Free admin to regular exhibit. On street parking is 20 min for a quarter (no cards)! Great little park across the street. Botanical garden across the street (not free). Also a parking deck you can use for all three!
Sami L — Google review
Absolutely amazing art museum with free general admission! I'd highly recommend visiting this place if you have free time on a trip nearby Cleveland! From ancient artifacts to medieval, baroque to modern, there are exhibits for any interest.
Ryan R — Google review
Love the museum! It took us a few hours to look just about everything. They do have a cafe/restaurant, kind of pricey in the restaurant part which you need a reservation. Parking garage is $14, they take cc/cash. The museum is located right to the parking area on level 2. They do have a gift store, which is $$$. Just be careful on NOT touching anything. A GREAT place to spend the day. The museum is FREE admission!
Jackie C — Google review
The museum is free! But you do pay for parking, around $15 I believe. Not a bad price at all. The museum itself is a work of art and the displays inside rivaled The Met. I'm very glad we decided to go spur of the moment! It was a nice place to spend a cold, rainy day.
Kim B — Google review
Beautiful museum, free for general exhibitions which is huge, including Picasso and others. Great café in the lower level . A lot of rest benches to admired the pieces at your own pace. Washroom in all different levels. Pretty gardens. Definitely recommend ❤️
P U — Google review
An amazing building in itself, with an open courtyard. Exhibits are well organized to represent all cultures and eras in spacious clean new displays. There are optional docent tours to take a deeper dive, but I liked to wander in awe. I was truly amazed that entrance is free...don't miss this when you're in Cleveland!

Gardens
Nestled in the University Circle near other cultural attractions, Cleveland Botanical Garden is a captivating all-seasons living museum spanning 10 acres. The Eleanor Armstrong Smith Glasshouse is a highlight, featuring peculiar desert and rainforest plants alongside hundreds of butterflies, birds, and reptiles. Families can also explore the Hershey Children's Garden for nature play activities. The garden boasts diverse landscapes including herb, Japanese, rose, and topiary gardens as well as a greenhouse and conservatory.
Loved the botanical gardens! Everything is really well taken care of and so many amazing plants. There is an inside play area for kids and the Hershey children’s garden is absolutely amazing. There is a cafe that we reasonably priced and the food was good.
Kelsey H — Google review
I visited July 8, 2025 and was super disappointed with the lack of flowers. The signs were informative and thought went into the design. But I have many more blooms in my own yard. I walked through all of the sections in search of blooms to take close up photos of, and I didn't find very many. There are nice pathways to walk, though their hours of operation don't really allow for evening walks.
Stephanie L — Google review
The flowers available to view are very pretty but I wouldn't say it's worth the $20 entrance fee. The staff at the front were nice and we did get a map. The first section was extremely small and people didn't really fit. The two turtles and ducks were nice to see. If you have a hard time with heat, plan ahead. With all the plants it was extremely humid and hard to get through the entire walk. There are placards with information along the way and benches which is nice if it's quiet. I wouldn't come here again
Mariah — Google review
What a beautiful botanical garden. The main butterfly room was closed when we went and that was kind of a downer but the place is still worth seeing! I loved the glass room with all the exotic birds and the chameleon. The gardens are well kept and stunning. I really enjoyed the children’s garden lol. I think that was the most beautiful. There’s a woodchuck there and he likes to eat from their garden. The place is very clean. The gift shop is also full of wonderful gifts and such. I think the price to get in is fair.
Katie R — Google review
We brought our twin 3 year olds to the gardens and they had an amazing time! We spotted critters in the wall through areas and played hard in the outdoor garden. The sensory play indoor area has so much to do as well, so rain for shine kiddos have something to do! Be prepared for them to get dirty as there is a mud kitchen, water play, and an area with sand. Of course as an adult I enjoyed all parts of the garden and look forward to my next visit.
Carrie F — Google review
Surprised at the small amount within the greenhouses, but the outdoor arrangements were very impressive. Even as an adult, the children's garden was my favorite as it was so densely packed with interactive elements and beautiful plants that I don't think I saw elsewhere in the gardens.
Cameron ( — Google review
Nice botanical garden on a smaller side packing a lot of themed gardens in a modest acreage. Glasshouse featuring Costa Rica’s cloud forest was one of the memorable points of visit. Don’t miss Japanese and Rose Gardens. No regrets on my side about admission price but I could see why some reviews thought it was on a high side relative to gardens’ size / value proposition.
Mike Z — Google review
Lots of fun learning for kids to develop sound, touch & feel activities. The Garden overall is not that big but has aesthetic views. Food court food is bad. But worth visiting if you want a day out with the kids.

Market
West Side Market, established in 1912, is a vibrant and historic public market offering a wide array of goods such as meat, produce, bread, and hot food. The market originally had 109 stalls with additional storage added later. Many of the stalls are still operated by families who have been there since its opening, while others are run by vendors from various parts of the world.
West Side Market is a true Cleveland treasure! The historic atmosphere combined with a wide variety of vendors makes every visit exciting. From fresh produce and artisan meats to baked goods and international flavors, the selection is incredible. The quality and uniqueness of the offerings set it apart from typical grocery shopping. Whether you’re grabbing local specialties or discovering something new, it’s always a great experience. A must-visit for food lovers!
Natalie H — Google review
My husband lived in Cleveland when we met and took me here when we were dating. I love this market. The produce is so fresh and all the different foods are so amazingly good. And anything we've bought has always been reasonably priced. We live in Nevada now, but when we come back yo Cleveland to visit, we always stop here. Our favorite counter to visit is Narrin's counter. She makes and sells her own dry spices that we just LOVE! She's a local, so all of it is made in Cleveland.
Eileen — Google review
Love this OG market setup, similar to those found in Seattle or Vancouver. Great variety of meats, cheeses, breads, produce and other delicacies. Cozy diner in the corner. Imported foods shop in the other corner. Great biergarten right next door. If I lived here I'd be here weekly.
Carl V — Google review
This place is amazing! Old-world style indoor market with just about any food you can think of for sale. Some you can buy there and make at home, and some ready to eat! There were so many friendly people, no barking, just a friendly, fun atmosphere. Beautiful pastries, delicious looking meats of all kinds, side dishes, amazing bread- there is no way to list it all. If you visit the area, don’t miss this experience!
Nicole B — Google review
This place is a great representation of what Cleveland can be. Very diverse and open with many different cultural foods and products to purchase here. The fruit (food) is always fresh. If you're thinking "health," this place has your best options. For it to be so busy, it's always clean. Aye. Shout out to the West Side Market for making Cleveland great again. Haha
Noon — Google review
Such a cool place with TONS of great options. We love shopping for produce, fresh baked bread, and amazing sweet treats. One of our favorite places to visit when we go to Cleveland.
Donetta D — Google review
It is good, and lot of vendors, but for me more hot food options would attract more people, good pastries options and veggies, fruits, washroom available, water fountain by the washroom. Seating area on the top floor for better view of the market and pictures. Great area around. Crafts market across the street. Check for hours. Free parking around, and free entrance.
P U — Google review
West Side Market gave me the nostalgic feeling of traditional markets you usually find in the Middle East—lively, full of character, and rich with the smell of fresh produce and spices. The architecture is beautiful, and wandering through the aisles brought back memories of old-style bazaars. I especially loved the variety of pastries and sweets—really delicious! It can get a bit crowded, but that’s part of the charm. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Cleveland.

Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is a sprawling wildlife sanctuary with over 3,000 animals from 600 species. The zoo offers interactive experiences like giraffe and lorikeet feedings, camel rides, and overnight programs in safari tents. Visitors can explore distinct areas of the zoo featuring favorites such as Elephant Crossing and a carousel. Despite its location near downtown Cleveland, the hilly landscape creates an immersive experience away from the city's industrial surroundings.
I had the best zoo experience ever here! My mom and I went spontaneously while in town for the weekend. The decor was beautiful along the trails, the animals were all so active! We fed Giraffes, the bears were playing together, tigers were walking by right against the glass, the gorillas were out and about, the baby was playing, climbing all over its mom. There is some distance between areas so we took the tram, which was a pretty drive and saved some walking energy. Plenty of food vendors along the way, we had a delicious Dubai iced coffee to curb the heat. Overall, such a great experience, highly recommend!
Jena B — Google review
An unforgettable visit to Cleveland Zoo! I had the best zoo experience here. The adult ticket was $21.50 and honestly, it was totally worth it. There’s an incredible variety of animals, and many of them can be seen up close or even touched (we touched the goats and they were super adorable) which made the visit feel really special! The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and every moment I spent in the zoo was enjoyable. It’s also great value for money. Since it wasn’t crowded, especially in the forested walking areas, it felt peaceful and relaxing. There were many chipmunks as well in the forest and everywhere! Most of the restaurants or stores were closed, I guess since it was weekday visit 🙁 But overall, it was such a great experience! I’ll definitely be coming back! 🤩
Jimin H — Google review
There were lots of animals to see. Very nice place and very clean. It was all decorated for Halloween which was super fun. I love that there were restrooms and picnic areas everywhere which was great for taking young children who need frequent rest stops. We packed a lunch and had a nice picnic. The whole family had a blast and we are already planning our next trip once the rainforest reopens!
Lorraine K — Google review
What a great zoo! The way the zoo is built into the surrounding area is amazing. The views of the animals are incredible as you can get way closer than you might expect! The landscaping throughout was also eye catching and there are so many different and accessible ways to enjoy the zoo. The employees of the zoo were incredibly kind and knowledgeable not to mention passionate about the animals and conservation! Will be coming back the next time I’m in Cleveland!
Kellin W — Google review
The Cleveland Zoo is such a fun and amazing place to spend the day! From the moment you walk in, there’s so much to see and do. The animal exhibits are well cared for and spread out nicely, so you can take your time exploring everything. The Rainforest is a must-see—it feels like stepping into another world with all the tropical plants, waterfalls, and exotic animals. I loved how interactive everything felt, especially with the giraffes and elephants. The Australian Adventure is also a highlight—you actually feel like you’re walking through the Outback! There’s plenty of food and snack options, shaded rest areas, and fun activities for kids too. Overall, it’s a perfect mix of relaxation and excitement. Whether you’re there for the animals, the learning experience, or just a fun day out, the Cleveland Zoo does not disappoint. I’ll definitely be back! 🦒🐒🐘
Karie H — Google review
The zoo is the best. So much to do and see, you could easily spend the whole day and not see everything. Beautiful walking trails and just great to be out in nature. Staff is always super to be around and wonderful with the kids. Cant wait until the new primate enclosure is finished.
Christopher E — Google review
I purchased yhe zoo membershio with the intent of going evert other week. The place is beautiful and perfect for walking. The stairs and steep incline to the apes makes a great workout. However, I am easliy distracted by the exhibits and the well cared for animals

This zoo is huge. There is so much to see and do. You could easily spend a day here and just enjoy. I love how you could interact with the animals, and the Zip lining was so much fun! The Asian festival lanterns were so beautiful. I bet at night they are even more amazing to see. Definitely recommend.

Aquarium
Zoos & Aquariums
The Greater Cleveland Aquarium offers an immersive experience for visitors of all ages, with over fifty exhibits spread across eight galleries. Children can enjoy interactive marine displays, including a walk-through experience and a mock research vessel. The Touch Pool in the Coastal Boardwalk gallery allows kids to come face to face with and touch stingrays, while older children can be surrounded by sharks and other sea creatures in the underwater Sea Tube.
My friend and I had a lovely time exploring this aquarium, enjoying the marine animals and reading the fun facts along the way. The visit was relaxing and pleasant, although we finished exploring the whole place a bit too quickly. It left us wanting more. The aquarium is a bit smaller than we expected, but still a delightful stop.
Cindy L — Google review
Such a great place, the unique history, great layout, friendly staff, love the touch a stingray....my favorite. It's always fun to be able to walk through the tunnel where sharks and stingrays swim around you. Loved the jellyfish washing machine and the tanks with the pipes. Very creative. I would highly recommend adding this to your list of places to visit while your there.
Brenda B — Google review
My husband and I just went here for the first time. We had such a great time. There was so much to look at and experience. You don't just get to look at the marine life, you even get to interact with some of them. This is very family friendly, so kids will love this too. And the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and will answer any of your questions. We spent a good 3 hours here just exploring and learning. And in the gift shop, they sell bracelets that help you track a shark that's been tagged in the ocean. I bought 2. I highly recommend this.

Had a fun time at the Aquarium! There's a huge variety of fish, stingrays and sharks. I love that you can walk under the aquarium and see the sharks and fish swim above you. The tanks were beautiful! Lots of photo ops. There are a few interactive displays and you're able to pet a stingray.

We had a wonderful experience at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium! The aquarium is located in an old factory so it has a lot of charm and is a unique experience. It only took about an hour to tour, so it's great for young kids. The sting ray touch pool was our favorite part. If you're in the Cleveland area this aquarium really provides an enjoyable time.

Absolutely loved the Cleveland Aquarium! 🌊 It’s clean, well-organized, and full of amazing sea creatures. The shark tunnel is a real highlight — truly impressive! 🦈 The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. A perfect place for a fun and educational visit! 💙

This is a really nice little aquarium. It was actually bigger then we had thought and the layout being that it is located in an old warehouse building I believe made it very unique. There were many species of fish, a stingray tank where you could touch them, as well as another little area where you could also touch sea cucumbers, starfish, etc. My favorite part was the large tank that housed the sharks and other larger fish. You could walk around the tank and at one point there was a tunnel to view these fish. The only think I wish they would do would be to have a demonstration of the "squirt gun" fish shooting water at their prey LOL.

The aquarium is a great place for families, adults, kids, a date night. The highlight is definitely the huge shark tank! They also have events every year for Halloween and Christmas. The scuba divers dress up in Halloween costumes and as Scuba Claus at Christmas time.

Great Lakes Science Center is a must-visit, family-friendly venue in Downtown Cleveland. It offers interactive exhibits, a giant-screen movie theater, and steamship tours. The Science Store in the main lobby is accessible without paying admission and features astronaut ice cream, NASA apparel, STEM gifts, and solar eclipse safety glasses. The center was a finalist for Best Science Museum in the 2022 USA Today 10Best Readers Choice travel award contest.
What a fun and interesting place right in our backyard! Great place for kids to learn hands on and a fun time for adults to realize all the things we forgot about! The movies are amazing and well worth a Thursday night out in downtown Cleveland!

An employee noticed me doing sensory work with my excited kiddos as we were entering. She then told us about and guided us to the sensory room. As a family that has special needs, this kind of accessibility can make or break a successful outing for us.

We visited on a Thursday morning in mid-April 2025. We parked in the parking garage and planned to stay most of the day and also do the rock and roll hall of fame next door. There was construction going on outside so walking from one to the other wasn't so easy. There is a cool corridor that goes from the parking garage to the science center itself so you don't have to go outside. We pre-purchased our tickets online and bought it along with the dome theater show. They let us change the timing at check-in to an earlier time. There were very few people there when we arrived. There was 2 groups in line in front of us but it moved very quick. The kids were able to run around and do basically whatever they wanted for almost an hour before all the school groups arrived. It was spring break for us but the local schools were still in session. It got crowded really fast. We tried to hide in the more obscure areas. The kids really liked the music area on the top floor. Also my youngest really liked building with the wooden sets on the main floor. When all the school groups left he had it all to himself and spent almost 30 mins building his own crane that was taller than him. Staff member stopped by and said that's the largest structure he'd ever seen someone build out of those parts. We ate lunch and watched the dome video closer to noon when all the school groups were running around. Many of the school groups went to lunch and that's when we went back out. We spent more than 4 hrs in the science center. I think the kids were finally started to get bored near the end and it was time for us to walk over to the rock and roll hall of fame. The parking garage was open late as well and aligned with the late opening of the rock and roll hall of fame. There is a quiet sensory spare up on the 3rd floor as well near the bathrooms. It was cool that they had such an area as it got really loud when all the school groups were there. The museum store was large but had your typical science museum merch. I had a hard time finding anything that specifically had the museum logo or name on it. Every staff person we interacted with the whole day from the ticket desk, to the different science kiosks to the museum store were all happy to help and very pleasant to talk to. Customer service here was just top notch. Not sure if we would come back after spending over 4 hrs in there. But definitely worth the 1 visit.

There is so much to see here! Lots of hands on activities for kids of all ages but also a great time for adults. My favorite was the space exhibit which has a real Apollo command module on loan from the Smithsonian!

Pros: -Lots and lots of hands on things to do -name your own color swatch -fun wood block building area -cool water and air vortex devices -music area (some not working) -steamship history (downstairs)(plus actual steamship outside) -ATSC reciprocal admission for up to 4 -Parking garage is $9 w/ validation (an outside lot is $6) -Close proximity to USS Cod and International Women’s Air & Space Museum (not o clouded nor part of ATSC) -STEAMSHIP WILLIAM G. MATHER self guided (or 12:30 1hr guided) tour available—I highly recommend it if you’re interested in ships or in the jobs & machines of historical industry Cons: -summer weekdays could likely have lots of elementary age summer camp kids groups inundating the center. (Maybe try coming late on Thursdays, if they keep longer hours till 8pm on Thur.) -maybe ~10% of the displays were broken or only partially working -special 2hr Hard Hat tour of the steamship (for its 100th anniversary year in 2025) is only available limited times*, is $45 per person ($35 for members), and should be booked 2 days in advance online only. (*Eg 9am Saturday or Sunday start in the summer) -expensive and limited cafeteria

The Cleveland Museum of Natural History is a treasure trove for anyone fascinated by the wonders of our planet. Nestled just five miles from downtown Cleveland in University Circle, this museum has been captivating visitors since its inception in 1920. With an exciting array of offerings including immersive 3D films and engaging planetarium shows, it caters to science enthusiasts of all ages. The museum is currently undergoing a remarkable $150 million renovation that aims to enhance its facilities and exhibits significantly.
Great place for a family fun! You even get a outdoor adventure with seeing bald eagle, owls, cats, coyotes. Very surprised to see outdoor adventure. Employees are extremely kind and helpful. There is a cafeteria and souvenir shop, they also offer hands on area for kiddos, and classroom settings. What is equally exciting is the mini art gallery of photography. Get ready to spend a fun filled day. Highly recommend.

This is a very nice and clean museum. I believe they just redid it or some of it. I think it would be more enjoyable with kids. My favorite parts were the animals, although I think some of them shouldn’t be held in captivity… especially in Cleveland when the temperatures can get extremely hot. I also enjoyed the gallery on the second level. They have some awesome photography on display. I wish we were staying in Cleveland longer to enjoy the Pink Floyd music in the planetarium 😍 tickets are cheaper to buy online, although they still aren’t cheap. I think the price is a little high for what you’re getting.
Katie R — Google review
Very nice museum. Spacious and clean. Loved the outdoor animal exhibits too. Prices seemed high for the souvenirs in the gift shop, but I assume they are a smaller museum with less funding than ones associated with larger universities.

Complete spur-of-the-moment decision to go to the Cleveland History Museum, LOVED it! Wish I could have spent even more time, but I crammed a lot into 4 hours I was there! I saw all 3 additional movies, which were great, especially the one on Fungi. Additional charge of $7.00 for all 3 movies. Went to the cool planetarium show too!! It was also additional $7.00. All worth it! If you purchase your admission ticket on line, you can save a couple dollars. I loved the outdoor area with all of the living animals! All of it reinforced beautiful , miraculous life! I haven't been to the History Museum in YEARS! It was so fun! The parking was convenient, attached parking garage, but pricey. They have a gift shop and cafeteria with a variety of foods. If you are the type of person who wants to see and read everything without rushing, you could spend entire day there! I really need to go back and take my time. Highly recommend!

They have an interesting collection that was fun to look at. A great display on insects and beetles which I particularly enjoyed. I feel like this museum was a little small for the $30 ticket, but I don’t regret it. There is also an outdoor walk where you can see wild animals in cages.
Mary L — Google review
This is my first visit since the remodel and all I can say is, WOW! The exhibits are so interactive and entertaining for kids and adults alike. The 3D movie was entertaining and the wildlife area is fantastic! My only complaint is the planetarium. While the planetarium show was great and the presenter was awesome with answering questions after the program, the seating was a major drawback. I seem to recall planetarium that had seating in a circle so everyone could have the best view of the show. Now, the chairs are in rows and one needs to occasionally crane their neck to see what is happening (when sitting in the 3rd from back row all the way to the side). Apparently the middle back is the best view but those are quickly taken. I have to believe there is a better way to arrange the seating so everyone has a good view while also being comfortable.
Kelley K — Google review
Very interesting museum! I love the outdoor nature exhibit, cutest little animals out there with really nice looking habitats. They seem very well cared for. There’s some interactive exhibits there and it’s very fun. The weird bean bag chairs are super comfy :)
Evelyn H — Google review
This was my first visit to the Museum of Natural History since the big renovation. I had read that the renovated museum was beautiful and modern. True, it is beautiful and modern, but, I don’t know…it just didn’t do it for me. The displays looked nice, but the flow of the different displays was disjointed and confusing. It felt like a bombardment of information: in front, behind, on the sides, above, everywhere displays. I guess in that way it really is modern — information overload. I missed the old museum where there were separate rooms for different topics, where you could concentrate on one subject at a time. I was looking forward, too, to the new dioramas, but the new museum got rid of them. That’s too bad because that was one of my favorite parts. I really liked the scenes of early man hunting, cooking, sitting around, doing various early man things; of animals and plants in different ages; of life in different climates in different time periods. Those scenes were really cool. I liked the second floor where there is an exhibit of nature photography. I don’t know if that is a permanent exhibit, but try to see it if it’s still there. There are some amazingly talented people in this world! The little zoo was interesting, but I never understood why there is a zoo at the Museum of Natural History. There is a sign on the door saying that the animals are homed there because they had been injured and cannot live on their own. I saw some things I enjoyed, but I’ll wait to go back when I can go there with a child who will probably find it very interesting.

The House from A Christmas Story, located in Cleveland, Ohio, is a 19th-century Victorian home that was used for exterior shots in the classic Christmas movie. It has been transformed into a museum and cafe where visitors can explore the replicated interior and view film memorabilia. The house offers fans of the movie an opportunity to step inside Ralphie's iconic home and relive favorite moments from the film.
Bring your kids or bring yourself if you love the movie! It's the real house where the movie was filmed. You need to buy your ticket ($20 per person) across the street on the gift shop. There are guided tours every half hour. They will tell you how the house was rented for the movie and many other interesting facts. The tour last about 40 minutes. You are free to see all the rooms in the house and includes a visit to the museum across the street where you can see photos of the making and a lot of items like clothes that were wearing during the film, etc.

If you are a fan of the Christmas story movie, you will love this tour. It's a guided tour that takes you through the house and explains a lot. We definitely learned some cool facts about the house and movie. Then you get to go to the museum across the street. And don't forget to check out the gift shop when you finish. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Definitely add this stop on your travels

If you're a fan of the Christmas Story you will love it. I'm not so much but my husband is. It is a guided tour and it was nice seeing the actual house from the movie. Our guide was ok, she knew enough but she seemed like she did one too many tours and had enough. She wasn't very engaging. She let us roam the house ourselves while she was on her phone. My husband asked a question and she didn't seem that interested. She even admitted she is not too shameless to ask for tips. The gift shop was awesome!
Patty C — Google review
As the movie is one of my ultimate favorites, I had to make a trip to check out the house. The house is located across the street from the museum and gift shop. We did the guided tour which lasts around an hour. The guide was friendly, and knowledgeable about the history of the film, house, actors, and props. Such a great time if you are a Christmas Story fan! There are a couple free parking lots right next to the house, otherwise you will need to find parking along the streets.

This was such a great experience! The tour guide Chuck was very good at his job and made us all laugh a lot. When we were at the gift shop he was so kind and gave me a very special balloon animal ducky. I will always remember this day!

This is definitely a “must do” for anyone who is a fan of the film. The tour guides are amazing and give you a real in depth experience about the film and the making of the film. There’s two parts - the actual house and then the museum across the street as well as a gift shop a short walk from the museum.

We absolutely loved this house! NY husband's favorite Christmas movie is A Christmas Story. They have everything set up so nicely. Everything was also very clean from the house to the museum to the gift shop. We had a great time and our tour guide was awesome. He was very knowledgeable, fun, and kind. It was a big highlight of our trip to Cleveland. If you love the movie, you must definitely go!

If you’re in Cleveland and are a Christmas Story movie fan, this is a must see. The iconic moving setting is nostalgic with many opportunities to re-create your favorite scene with photos. Lake View Cemetery, established in 1869, is a serene burial ground that also serves as a picturesque destination for visitors. The landscape features stunning gardens inspired by European designs and offers dramatic views, winding pathways, and historic structures. Notable attractions include the James A. Garfield Memorial, Wade Memorial Chapel, the Haserot angel sculpture, and Daffodil Hill in spring. This tranquil setting provides an opportunity to connect with nature and beauty while paying homage to prominent figures like billionaire John D.
Absolutely gorgeous and serene place to walk and explore all the statues and mausoleums. You can pick up quite a bit of local history here as well. In addition, walk around the whole cemetery and you will get an excellent workout.

I could spend several hours here. I can't believe I haven't come here yet until just this past weekend in October. Highly recommend for the fall colors here by the way. A lot of historical grave markers and monuments. There are a lot of neat ones, not just the Haserot angel (which is awesome and just as cool in person as in photos). Need to come back in spring for daffodils.

Stopped in to see some of the many famous people who are buried here. The cemetery is large, and I saw lots of people walking/running. It was quiet and beautiful. The USS Cod Submarine Memorial in Cleveland, Ohio is a World War II-era submarine that pays tribute to fallen submariners. It is open for tours from May 1 to September 30 and is listed as one of the area's National Historic Landmarks. The submarine is maintained in its original condition, allowing visitors to experience its history firsthand by using the original hatchways and ladders during their tour.
As a former 688 class submariner, the tour was absolutely fantastic. The boat is in really good condition, the docents were engaging and informative. The last time I was on this boat I was 10 years old. That was 46 years ago. I highly recommend visiting if you have a chance whether you are from out of town or local. Well done shipmates!

Wow, what a great experience. We would highly recommend a visit here. The staff was very friendly. The sub is really cool, still very maintained. It's a little hard getting into and out of the sub, but if you want the experience, that's how you do it! It's a self guided tour, but they have audio that you can listen to alone the way. Very educational. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.
Brenda B — Google review
What an incredible piece of World War II history! There was no wait to enter, but keep in mind that you’ll need to climb up and down ladders to get on and off the submarine. The team has done an outstanding job preserving it in its original WWII configuration, and the attention to detail throughout is remarkable. We spent about 45 minutes exploring, but easily could have stayed longer.
Benjamin H — Google review
Visited Saturday afternoon during the Cleveland Air Show. The submarine is very impressive, as is the atmosphere with a jeep, the original periscope and propeller on display outside the sub. The access they give to visitors is very impressive, as you are able to climb down the fore hatch, tour inside through the entire sub and exit through the aft hatch. The main areas have audio tours telling you about the area you are in, as well as reenactors giving demonstrations and answering questions. They also fired off the 5" cannon, which was amazing. The admission is $15 for adults, and the admission booth also has some souvenirs. There is a paid parking lot nearby. Be aware that climbing down into the sub, walking through and climbing back out, while not difficult for the able bodied will definitely pose a challenge to anyone with limiting disabilities or the elderly. An amazing experience.
Matt B — Google review
Cool opportunity to see a piece of history. It is small, but they had hatches open so it didn't feel too claustrophobic. Friendly folks to explain some things. Self guided tour from one end of the sub to the other-- you pretty much see the whole thing, top and inside.
Robert H — Google review
The USS Cod is a fantastic, faithfully maintained WWII fleet submarine that is amazing to tour. Everything is staged perfectly, almost as if the crew just left for some R&R time on shore. I was amazed to see even the clocks were ticking away. Even the sea temperature gauges in the engine rooms read the lake temperature correctly. They even encourage you to sit on the deck gun and move it around as well, which was a neat touch. I will definitely return for another visit in the future!
Riley C — Google review
USS cod is a wonderfully preserved piece of US wartime History, I've been on a couple of the sister subs, like the one in Peral Harbor, and this one is the most historically preserved one. Worth a visit if you're in Cleveland.

I can't imagine being on this sub in WWII, I would have gone crazy. An amazing piece of engineering 80-90 years ago. Interesting to see the sleeping and eating quarters and torpedo room. If you are older and/or knee hip issues, then going down the hatch and up may be an issue. Admission is reasonable at $15, 13 for seniors, 9 for kids, and parking is free.

Playhouse Square is a vibrant performing arts center that serves as the heartbeat of Cleveland's cultural scene. This stunning venue hosts an array of Broadway-style shows, concerts, dance performances, plays, comedy acts, and operas. As you explore the city on a delightful tour that includes local markets and bakeries, you'll have the chance to visit Playhouse Square along with other iconic sights like Edgewater Park and University Circle.
The closest you will get to Broadway outside of New York. This is a very large theater complex. Excellent sight lines for every seat. The tickets are very reasonable on the price. The season ticket pass is a really good deal as well. You can see 7 or 8 shows a year for as little as $15 a month. If there is a show on Broadway you want to see, it will be at Playhouse in a year or 2. There is always an excellent show lineup every season. In my opinion, a season pass is a must if you live near or in Cleveland.

Edgewater Park is a picturesque park located on the shores of Lake Erie, forming part of the Cleveland Metroparks Lakefront Reservation. It boasts 9,000 feet of shoreline and features attractions such as Edgewater Beach, Perkins Beach, a Marina and Yacht Club. The park offers various activities including biking, boating, paddle sports, picnicking and fishing. Visitors can also enjoy amenities like picnic tables, restrooms and trail access.
The Crown Jewel of Cleveland’s Lakefront! Edgewater Park is an absolute gem — the perfect blend of nature, city skyline, and fresh lake breeze. Whether you're a local looking for your weekend escape or a visitor wanting a true Cleveland experience, this park delivers in every way. First, the views: stunning panoramas of Lake Erie, with the Cleveland skyline perfectly framed — especially magical at sunset. It’s a photographer’s dream and one of the best places in the city to watch the sky melt into the water. The beach area is clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for everyone — families building sandcastles, joggers on the boardwalk, or friends playing beach volleyball. The Edgewater Beach House is a huge bonus, offering great snacks, drinks, restrooms, and a spot to relax with live music in the summer. If you're into biking, walking, or running, the lakefront trail is perfect. There are grassy open spaces for picnics, shaded areas for lounging, and plenty of parking. It’s dog-friendly, people-friendly, and always buzzing with a great local vibe. What really sets Edgewater apart is its ability to feel both peaceful and energizing. You can sit in silence by the water or join a lively event with food trucks and music. There’s room for everyone here. Final word: Edgewater Park isn’t just a park — it’s Cleveland’s front porch to the lake. Come for the views, stay for the vibe, and leave feeling refreshed.

Edgewater is a great place to relax, swim, watch the sun go down... it is just so peaceful and beautiful. I recommend visiting. Don't have your water in a liquor bottle stripped of its labels (definitely not with its labels) unless you are okay with police interaction. Alcohol is not allowed and it is enforced.

Absolutely amazing!!!! There were activities going on the day we went. We didn't stay this time since we were far away from home and already a long day plus returning back home but we plan on going back. We visited quickly since we were so close. It blew me away to see Lake Erie for the first time. And the skyline. WOW!!!!🫶

Edgewater Park is such a beautiful spot to spend the day! The views of Lake Erie are incredible, especially at sunset—it feels like the whole sky is glowing. The beach is clean and has plenty of space to relax, whether you want to lay out in the sand, swim, or just enjoy the breeze. There are great walking and biking trails, picnic areas, and even a fun playground for kids. I also love that it’s close to downtown, so you get that mix of nature and city skyline in the background. Parking is usually pretty easy, and there are bathrooms and concessions nearby, which makes it convenient for families. It’s the perfect place for a casual afternoon, a workout by the lake, or a romantic evening walk. Definitely one of Cleveland’s gems!

Very nice oasis in the city of Cleveland Ohio. I've visited in the Spring when the water was too cold to be in but the surroundings were relaxing and entertaining. I've been when the horses were on the beach. Very joyful and entertaining seeing them play in the water and on the beach. This time I went and explored the different parts of the beach, lay on the sand, and played in the water a bit. I really liked the upstairs lounge, looking out at the water and enjoying a drink. My favorite part of the beach though is close to the dog beach. I personally think the water that was coming in was cleaner. Not any sticks and it was less populated. And there's a nice long path to walk.

The Children's Museum of Cleveland is a family-friendly destination featuring interactive exhibits aimed at promoting fun learning experiences for children. Recently relocated to a larger space, the museum now offers additional play and learning areas, as well as an outdoor picnic area. Highlights include Adventure City, where kids can engage in various activities while learning about daily life, and the engaging Wonder Lab with water tables for hours of entertainment.
The 2-year-old and a 6-year-old had a lot of fun. They really enjoyed all sections of the museum. Lots to play with, lots of activities, a good nap on the way home. The water room was their favorite.

This place is truly amazing! It is big ad there is so much to do!! We arrived at 10:15 and left at 1:30pm(closing time) and the kids didn't want to leave. My son is still talking about the museum and it has been a week since we have been there. I am definitely looking into a membership even if it is a 45 min drive for us. We were in the water area (basically a mini water park and they have some protective gear there to use) from 10:15 to noon after lunch. (You can take your own food with and they have a microwave to heat some food up with. Also some snacks like uncrustables, juice boxes, gold fish and a couple of other things to buy at the gift shop area. I thought their price was really reasonable.) After lunch we did the massive jungle gym area which includes a pretend gardening area, grocery store, baby nursery, a doctor's office and opposite all of that a big building block area. In a separate room there is a massive theater which is where we ended for the day and so many make believe opportunities with even a pretend sound board. A music area. A really big craft room upstairs which man the kids can go to town in there there is so much to do in the craft room and so much space! There is also an area for kids ages 0 to 3 years. Really well done Cleveland children's museum!! 10/10!

If you’re in and around Cleveland, this is a must-see for kids aged 15 and under! My eight-year-old absolutely loved it. The only thing is, it closes at 1 pm. I’d suggest coming during the day because there are tons of fun and educational spots to explore. We’re thinking about getting a membership!

Fun place! Grand daughter had a blast! Also a little pricey for a family outing however, it’s nice to visit once and the kids were all having a great time.
Amanda H — Google review
All my kids loved it from ages 4 to 13 2 boys and 2 girls. Something for everyone . Staff was super friendly even the people visiting were nice and polite. 2 adults 4 kids was 90$ price is ok not the best not the worst lol. Be sure to check hours they close rather early. Cute activities: building cars and houses, grocery store for kids , water works, bubbles and more. Plan on taking the kids again sometime. Cute gift shop and have food and snacks. We all had fun 😁
Brian B — Google review
Felt like it was more for kids under 5. My 7 year old child wasn’t the most enthused. And charging for a parent I feel isn’t required. On the other hand the place was spic and span and even the washrooms were ultra clean and well maintained.

Quick weekend trip here to check this out - we'll definitely be coming back! So many fun activities for the kids, well kept and free parking.

My daughter drove up from Millersburg just to see this museum. PNC was sponsoring a several career booths greard for 3 to 6 yr olds. They made a photo with costume representing different careers. In side the old building had been remodeled just for kids. Water room, bubble room, climbing space, and much more.

The Arcade, also known as the Old Arcade, is a magnificent indoor mall in downtown Cleveland that opened its doors in 1890. It holds the distinction of being America's first indoor shopping center and was financed by prominent businessmen including John D. Rockefeller. The design of the Arcade was inspired by Milan's Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and it is often referred to as the Crystal Palace. In addition to housing shops and restaurants, it also accommodates the Hyatt hotel.
I’ve have heard of this place and seen pictures, it would have been a great place “back in the day “, wish there were shops. It truly a treasure. Clean, quiet, a few restaurants, some with tables on the walk way
Kendra G — Google review
Built in 1890, this is one of the special pieces of architecture to visit in the United States. The views inside of the Arcade are incredible. Hyatt did a great job of converting this property into a hotel. The first 2 floors have shops then the top 3 floors are hotel rooms. I'll add that the city of Cleveland should really put incentives out there for more shops to open within the Arcade. It's a shame to see empty store fronts in such a special retail space.

Stunning place! I'm happy that you stopped by to see it while in Cleveland. Got to learn a bit more about the story of the building and the scenes from the Superman movie that were filmed there.

Beautiful architecture to say the least. This place has many businesses within and surrounding it. Great area for walking, shopping, or just sitting at the local sports bar watching The Browns game.

As a wedding photographer (Eighty Eight Photo) I can easily recommend the Arcade to anyone looking for elegance and an aesthetic that will wow anyone. It's easily one of the best locations in Cleveland to take photos and their staff is a well oiled machine making every event we have had the opportunity to work with them absolutely flawless. If you are looking for an amazing blend of historic charm and breathtaking architecture for your wedding you are in the right place!

Beautiful architecture but the spaces are not well spent. Guess the rent to have a store there had to be astronomical. But is a perfect spot for pictures.

The Free Stamp is a remarkable art installation located in Willard Park, Cleveland. This giant sculpture, created by Claes Oldenburg & Coosje van Bruggen, features the word "free" on a massive hand stamp. Standing at 28 ft x 26 ft x 49 ft, it's hard to miss and makes for an amazing photo opportunity. While many may not know its historical significance, the stamp actually symbolizes and celebrates freedom from slavery.
Very cute and different art piece!! It’s in a little park with benches and trees for shade! No parking lot available.

The free stamp is located in downtown Cleveland near the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame and next to City Hall. There is a parking garage right next to it that has parking for only $4 for the first hour, which is nice for a quick stop to see the stamp. Definitely worth seeing!

One of the attractions in Cleveland.Biggest rubber stamp. Its not probably much to look at, its a huge stamp with the letters FREE. Not sure what the story is but is a huge art work for good pictures. Hung out with friends on our trip to Cleveland. The park is neat and clean.

We've seen several Claes Oldenburg works of art in our travels. This one was in our walking path and easy to interact with.

How could anyone not love Coosje van Bruggen & her husband Claes Oldenburg's "Free Stamp"? The whimsical sculpture in Willard Park has been well preserved and always seems clean and bright red-orange.

A giant sculpture of a stamp with the characters "FREE" located in Willard Park right next to Cleveland City Hall in downtown Cleveland. It's a really hard object to miss and most people will pass by this giant sculpture while walking to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on the other side of the highway. Really not sure what the sculpture was about as there was no descriptive plaque found anywhere near the sculpture.

Art gallery
The Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, also known as moCa, stands out with its ever-changing exhibitions from present-day artists. The museum's edgy steel-paneled structure houses thought-provoking and dynamic displays that celebrate modern art in all its forms. In addition to showcasing over 2,000 artists, moCa offers educational programs and performances within its unique architectural setting. Visitors can expect a refreshing experience with each visit as they explore the diverse range of contemporary works on display.
This is such a wonderful institution! The museum is FREE - which allows everyone to access the art, and makes me love it even more. The building is modern, spacious, with huge ceilings, stretching the span of the entire building in places. Everything is hard edges, odd angles, and big, big space. Each floor is generally dedicated to one or two artists, and with only a few floors in the one building, it's a manageable amount of work to see. You can breeze through it in about a half hour if you are super fast, but you need at least an hour to really look at everything. It's a place that if you wanted to sit with every piece in every show for a few minutes, you could, and you'd have time left over - in a good way. I often feel overwhelmed at large art institutions but this is very manageable in scale, and approachable in content. I've only visited three times so far, and every time I go to Cleveland this is on my must-do list. I have never been disappointed, and have always found I connect deeply with at least one artist each show. This is a great place to go, especially if you don't like or enjoy to go to either museums or art museums specifically.
Lara M — Google review
Small modern art museum with changing exhibitions. Apparently it’s free for local Ohioans but $10 for adults living out of state. We particularly liked third floor which had an interactive room where you could make your own drawings and “build a home” which fit the exhibits (regarding repurposed materials to create housing and unhoused people). The fourth floor has the largest number of pieces; I was blown away by a lot of them. I sat to observe/process several pieces for a bit. Also love the observation deck and the giant hand sculpture outside.
Leiah S — Google review
So this museum is free to explore. The staff was very awesome. They took the time to explain to us how to navigate to the building, what to expect, and just all sorts of information. Very knowledgeable about the museum and art. Good place to take a date. The art was interesting. I see why it is called contemporary art. Definitely wasn't what I was expecting as far as art goes, but it was interesting to see people's creativity in their own fashion. Not much of my taste for art but it was a cool experience. You'll have to pay for parking or unless you can find a place for free. It is located in a good area, but also in a unique spot but also fits the realm of it being called contemporary.
JJ D — Google review
It's a free museum. They rotate exhibits every 6 months. If you're in Cleveland stop in and check it out. It's worth the trip.
Kathy M — Google review
The building itself is very pretty and very interesting. There's really not much in the building. It's sort of a once and done kind of thing. There is a pretty cool huge hand outside that is worthwhile to see
Frank C — Google review
The museum is beautiful inside and out. It is 4 floors and each held a different exhibit. I did not take photos out of respect for the artists who had exhibits and the requests for no flash photography. The event I attended was the silent disco and it again was a great experience.
Michelle O — Google review
Terry Joshua’s “The Pinkest Hue” is a experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. I enjoyed every aspect of the exhibit from the moment I walked in I was greeted by the very friendly staff who directed me to the exhibit I also was greeted by the legend himself Mr. Joshua with such kindness and generosity. I have visited many exhibits before but this one specifically has accomplished something in which many of the others haven’t which was touch my soul, heart and mind. The whole experience was very enjoyable from the vivid colors, powerful imagery ,heart felt poems and the synonymous themes showed through out his art work. The exhibit had such a profound effect on me that I revisited the exhibit for a second time. I feel truly blessed to have had the chance to experience the exhibit and it’s something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
Tavaris W — Google review
I love that it's free... art is a beautiful language and should be free and accessible to all. I love the recommendation of starting at the fourth floor and working your way down so you can enjoy the architecture and design of the building itself. Both bathrooms on the third floor were broken, kind of awkward as it was leaking into the toilet bowl upon entry and didn't flush afterwards :// (12/29/22 - it could be fixed after this date) My personal opinion is that I found there were too many immersive content where you had to sit, watch and/or listen to a video explaining the art piece. I genuinely enjoy walking to each art piece on the walls, reading its origin and small foot notes, then making my own interpretations about the art work... and moCa only had about a handful of that. This is a cool building inside and out. It is clean and definitely embodies the "less is more" concept. *After moCa replied informing me of the art change, I appreciate and love that new art is introduced semi-annually.

Need more trees in center walking path. Off in the woods trails very nice, with some older trails hooking up with the new ones. A lot of restoration is going on so that a few of the older trails are now impassable Mountain bike trails are for biking and hiking. Please make sure you hike in the proper direction. The Dentzler trailhead is a nice 0.7 mile trail. You will be crossing three bridges. The hill starting Dentzler trail however is extremely dangerous. Plenty of rocks that can be slippery.

Gambling is just not my thing. I lose. I paid $8.50 for a cherry vodka with Sprite and lost $25. My friends made out a lot better than I did so I had an ok time. There weren't too many homeless people down there on the Saturday night when we were there, and I didn't have any problem. I just don't understand the attraction. You put money in a machine and it eats it and you get nothing. Maybe if I won once in awhile it would be different but it isn't.

Went to play the weekly Thursday $10,000 GTD. They moved the room upstairs to the 3rd floor. Dark room with lights so a lot less light than the old poker room but has a cool vibe. Dealers were skilled, professional and cordial. Joe does a great job organizing and running the poker tournaments.

Alot of different slot machines. They have pokers games, Black Jack, Roulette and Craps tables as well. Food is good. There is a buffet on the lower level. There is a food court with many options to choose from.

Honestly, there’s just no bang for your buck. You don’t hear people winning, no excitement, no energy. It’s mildly depressing—especially on Halloween, when you’d expect something festive for the public. But there was nothing. The JACK Casino card? A joke. If you’re looking for real atmosphere, I’d recommend heading to Youngstown, Erie, Toledo, or Pittsburgh. It’s just more fun. You hear machines buzzing, people cheering—it feels alive. When you go out, you go for the vibe. And here, there’s no live music, no entertainment, nothing to draw you in. From my experience, the only place you might see a return is in the high-limit rooms. Otherwise, it’s a flat experience.

The International Women’s Air & Space Museum, located at Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland, Ohio, is a tribute to the remarkable achievements of women in aviation and space exploration. Founded in 1986 by aviator Bernice Steadman, the museum relocated to its current site in 1998. It offers free daily admission and houses extensive collections of artifacts related to female pioneers such as Amelia Earhart and Ruby Wine Sheldon.
Free museum! Sort of. The museum is a large display area inside of the airport terminal itself. And while there are no tickets to purchase, if you parked your car in their very spacious parking lot then you will be paying a fee ($7 at the Time of this writing) to get out. The museum area is modest but still worth walking through and reading about some of the achievements during an era when being a ground breaking person was a significantly higher hurdle to reach. (If you are also going to go see the USS Cod, you may be able to park there for free and see both exhibits back-to-back. Not saying you SHOULD do that, nor am I saying it IS free to park at the USS Cod's parking lot, but that might be an option on weekdays when there's nobody around.)

Interesting small museum inside Burke Lakefront Airport between Gates 3 and 5. Exhibits are detailed, well-organized and informative. In addition to photos and posters, there are models and costumes as well. Kids learned a lot about women in air and space. Free admission. Parking curbside or in lot. Worth a visit. Recommended.

It's free admission but very small. We went during Labor Day weekend so there were many people watching the fighter jets practice for the air show.
Patty C — Google review
What a beautiful hidden historical gem! This free admission collection is housed in the Burke Lakefront Airport which harkens back to small local airports of old times. It is not for commercial jets, so is small and houses several aviation based businesses and organizations. It is situated along a beautiful lake view. The collection is arranged chronologically and highlights these pioneering women's lives both personally and professionally. There is a wonderful balance of admiration for their tenacity and acknowledgment of the privilege needed to attain their aviation goals. It is obvious that the exhibit was set up with accessibility in mind. The parking is plentiful and the entrance is an automatic door with no threshold. The displays are low enough to be seen from a wheelchair and there are buttons to speak and light up the displays. The only thing I was unable to say that others could was the control display of one of the flight simulators. The gift shop is within the offices of the two employees who were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. This is a great place for those who need a quiet environment without big crowds.

The Cleveland Cultural Gardens is a remarkable collection of over 30 individual botanical gardens, each representing the diverse ethnic populations of the city. Originally established in 1916 as a Shakespeare Garden, it was transformed into ethnic-focused gardens in 1926 to honor various cultural groups following a suggestion by Leo Weidenthal. These gardens now pay tribute to African-American and indigenous populations, as well as specific countries from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
The gardens are along a stretch of street. Each section of the street contains historical themes , statues , plaques and plants specific to a certain country. Although the street does not have parking, there are sidewalks for walking or biking .
Jodi M — Google review
The gardens are one of my favorite places in Cleveland. It pains me to give them four instead of five stars. That is because they are so under utilized and unknown. There are greater Cleveland residents who don’t even know about them. In any other major American city, something this engaging and diverse would be world-famous. Cleveland has such a variety of ethnicities, and so many rightfully proud of those heritages these gardens are like “It’s a small world” but not annoying. As a Clevelander I wish we could do more with this cool concept, but even as it stands it’s something to visit at every opportunity.

Some of the Cultural locations still in the building face, also traffic around the park is a bit heavy when there is events. And parking it's a nightmare. Overall they are doing a great job. I have attended the Italian outdoor Opera, the Colombian Independence day celebration and the Russian Celebration at each of their respected locations within the Gardens. I highly recommend attending some of this events, culturally you will love it! Restrooms are a bit hard to find 😕

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve is an 88-acre park located along the city's Lake Erie shoreline, formed from landfill dumping in the 1970s. It features diverse flora and fauna, including over 280 bird species and various Ohio wildlife. The preserve offers hiking, fishing, and nature photography opportunities with habitats for birds, butterflies, reptiles, and amphibians.
This is a nice park. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. This park, formed by sinking two cargo ships into the lake and filling the area between them and the shoreline with dirt, has a trail along the lakeshore with scenic views of the lake, Bratenahl, and downtown Cleveland. There’s a small viewing area with a few benches to loo at the view of Dow town Cleveland, which is quite nice. There’s are also a few trails that go through the middle of this park, but I didn’t go on them. I gave this park five stars because it has nice views.

Tranquil, scenic, wild, safe, and beautiful. It’s one of the best places in the area for birding and nature photography.

We went to the Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve at night, chasing a rumor — the mysterious Youper Lights. We never found them, but what we did find felt just as magical. ✨ The trails were quiet, dark, and a little eerie — the kind of darkness that makes every sound feel alive. We walked through a fun gate that felt like an entrance to another realm. There were police near the entrance, which made us feel safe enough to lean into the adventure. Along the way, we saw fishermen glowing in the dark with their flashlights and bunnies darting across the path like little shadow spirits. 🐇 At one point, our UV light revealed a patch of rocks that shimmered and glowed — we have no idea what they were, but they felt enchanted. Maybe nature’s way of giving us a consolation prize for missing the Huber Lights. When we finally reached the edge, the view stopped us cold — the Cleveland skyline glittering across the lake, perfectly still, perfectly cinematic. It was mysterious, beautiful, and peaceful all at once. If you love a good adventure — something halfway between a ghost story and a love letter to nature — come here at night. Just bring a flashlight… and maybe an open mind for magic. 🌙💀🌊

Beautiful nature preserve that has scenic views of Lake Erie. The Perimeter Trail is 1.5 miles. There are some trails that go into the middle of the preserve. It has a large parking lot and restrooms. The paved walking path connects with Cleveland Metroparks Lakefront Reservation Fishing Area.

The Cleveland Script Sign - North Coast Harbor is one of six iconic signs located throughout the city, offering picturesque backdrops for locals and tourists to capture memorable photos. These signs were strategically placed at North Coast Harbor, Edgewater Park, The Foundry in the Flats, Tremont, Euclid Beach, and Cleveland-Hopkins Airport to encourage exploration of Cleveland's iconic sites.
This place was jumping on a Wednesday. We went here a few days ago. I never been to that side of the big boat, always the other side. We encountered 2 groups of amazing people. Very friendly and offered to take a photo for us. The one lady even said that when she was taking a photo with our phone, it wasn’t coming in clear so she took the time out and took a photo on her own phone and send it to us. We had a great time.

Nestled along the waterfront, Lakewood Park's Solstice Steps have emerged as a beloved destination for both locals and visitors alike. This stunning staircase offers an enchanting experience, especially during the warmer months when you can bask in breathtaking views of sunsets over Lake Erie. Known affectionately as Cleveland's outdoor living room, it provides a picturesque backdrop for memorable moments like proposals or simply enjoying the serene beauty of nature.
This is an absolute must do in Lakewood! There is also a pool, playground, walking paths and the not to miss Solstice Steps! Come early as this place will get packed and for good reason. The views of the lake and downtown Cleveland are spectacular and being there for sunset is amazing to experience. Perfect for a date night or a peaceful afternoon relaxing outside. There are accessible pathways, so everyone can take in the beautiful views of Lake Erie at sunset!

Definitely need more parking. The park is very nice and clean. The steps give you a spectacular view of the lake. Fyi: A lot of people take their dogs there. I'm not big on dogs, being bit before. Other than that the park has several amenities. There's a pool, pavilions and a playground.

Solstice Steps is a beautiful and peaceful place to relax, watch the sunset, and enjoy Lake Erie. The view is absolutely stunning—perfect for a quiet moment or a catch-up with friends. One thing to note: there are often a lot of people smoking weed around, which can be a bit much depending on your vibe. But overall, it’s still one of the most scenic and calming spots on the west side. Highly recommend!

This is a really great place to relax, enjoy the waterfront, and see some gorgeous sunsets! My wife and I like to pack a small picnic, sit on the steps and just hang out until sunset. We’ve seen some extraordinary views here and love the cheery vibe. It’s a wonderful place to lift your spirits!

This was such a nice little park. I’d heard an out it years ago in some list of Ohio places to visit and I’ve wanted to get to the Solstice steps on or near the Solstice ever since. Mission complete. Something about the whole park, with the swimming pool, cool playground and snack window took me way back to my childhood and the nostalgia was real. There are less and less places like this - get here. ❤️

City park
Rockefeller Park Greenhouse, located in Cleveland near the University Circle neighborhood, is a civic gem offering year-round displays of cactus gardens, tropical plants, rose gardens, Japanese and Peace gardens. The Betty Ott Talking Garden outside caters to sight-impaired visitors. Originally built in 1905 on land owned by John D. Rockefeller for park plant care, it has evolved into a public facility with native and exotic plant collections and themed gardens.
Great spot, cool plants, excellent trees that you don't see everywhere like a few huge, mature weeping Birches. It's free which is great and it's right by the cultural gardens and university circle so you can incorporate this spot into all the other stuff to do around the area. Definitely worth checking out.

Video arcade
Pins Mechanical Co. is a unique blend of vintage arcade, modern bar, and bowling alley. The spacious venue is filled with classic arcade games, skee-ball, and pinball machines. The bar offers an impressive selection of craft beers and cocktails to keep you refreshed while playing. It's not your typical bowling experience; it features small handheld balls without finger holes and miniature pins for a different but enjoyable game. The staff is friendly and energetic, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the place.
To celebrate my birthday, I was brought here by my family. I had not heard of or been here prior. This venue was chosen as it allowed young children to participate. I must say that it was super fun. There were numerous video games, arcade games, and pinball machines. Many of them were free to use. Pinball was 1.00$ per game. There was also skee ball and ring toss. The lower level contained the pin bowling. I had not seen or heard of this prior. It’s just lie bowling with smaller balls and pins that are set into place via strings, meaning that when you knock over the pins, the pins are hoisted up and the un-hit pins are reset. Hit pins remain elevated. Spares and strikes are counted the same a regular bowling (2 tries) except that you are given a third opportunity to take down the remaining pins. Scoring is kept for you. There are 10 frames ( rounds) per game. It certainly kept us entertained. We waited about 40 minutes for a lane to clear after our arrival. In the 40 minutes, we wandered here and there playing the arcade games. There are several bars available. No outside food or drink is allowed although not too sure if that is monitored. It as a very busy venue but comfortable at mid afternoon. I speculate it would be very crowded in the eve. I was impressed. It appears to be an Ohio thing, but a few cities outside Ohio also are in operation. A fun way to spend quality time with family and friends. Because the balls are small, it works great for kiddo’s.

Found this place on accident but what a great just awesome experience 👏 I met the owner and several of his employees and everything was top notch. The multi-level facility just was full of a time gone by era full of nostalgia and memories of family and friends gathering at local mom and pops restaurants, pizzerias, rollerskating venues and after school gathering spots. So many iconic games to indulge and hold conversations for a great date night What really catches the eye is the younger trying to dissect the simple and challenging games that so many generations before them thoroughly enjoyed The place has a nice upper and lower lever bar with plenty of adult selections but no kitchen but they welcome any outside food that you wish to bring or order to the business This place is beyond a 5 star rating and I'm definitely going to be a regular visitor and bring future dates and friends to enjoy such an awesome atmosphere
Gregory T — Google review
What a fun place to hang out. We took our adult kids to play games and celebrate our son's birthday. Loved the old school free games and atmosphere. We played a round of duck pin bowling, but be aware it and pinball are not included in free play. Drinks are very expensive. A round of 4 mixed drinks and a beer will cost about $85. So keep that in mind. But if you've got a full wallet, it is a blast to hang out. Would definitely go again and try the drink special next time. 😂
Tina R — Google review
Me and three others went to Pins for the evening to have some drinks and play some arcade games, our favorite one being on the bottom floor. After being there a few hours, spending a good deal of money on drinks, and playing some games we noticed the one we'd been waiting for all night was finally open. We went downstairs to play it. Shortly after we were approached by some bridezilla and her mom who told us we couldn't be down there on the entire bottom floor because they had the area reserved for a wedding party. We asked a bartender who told us we were ok to keep playing there. Then we were approached by another woman, and later a second employee who asked us to leave the area. Mind you there was no one playing the game or waiting to play the game at any time. We were not in anybody's way. We spent over $200 there on drinks, and we will not be doing so again.

Wonderful place to go, love going after a dinner date. It is so addicting and fun. The bar is great and the bartenders are always so nice. My one complaint is the league people were mean and were hitting, tilting, and yelling at the pinball machines which seemed childish and disruptive. Perhaps I wouldn't have mind the behavior as much if they didn’t act like they owned the place and mean mugged everyone.

The machines here are super well kept and SO addictive!!! The bartender was cool and seemed to really enjoy watching everyone hang out and have a blast with the machines. So glad we stopped here while staying in from out of town and we will 100% recommend it to anyone else we know that might be in the area! Also, the bartender respected my service dog, which we ALWAYS appreciate from a business!

What a fantastic evening!! We were awarded to female conductors for our Holiday Concert and they were amazing. We were able to try seats located in the very near front center. We are so lucky to have this Orchestra here in Cleveland and everyone should experience at least once in a lifetime.

We were here for The Black Panther movie with the score being played by The Cleveland Orchestra. It was utterly amazing. They went all in for this. The lobby had 4 of the original costumes worn by the stars of the movie (Black Panther, Killmonger, Queen Mother, & Okaye) and then there was a Q&A with the brothers of Chadwick Boseman, the Black Panther. It was all very heartfelt, touching, and mesmerizing. Let me add that I didn't think I would enjoy watching a movie that I've seen a hundred times with the Orchestra playing. I was so wrong. It sounded phenomenal. The whole thing was so well done. The guy who plays the "drum", that is not really a drum, had me in awe.

The Western Reserve Historical Society, established in 1867, proudly holds the title of Cleveland's oldest cultural institution. Nestled in University Circle, this vibrant museum complex is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich history of Northeast Ohio. Visitors can explore a variety of exhibits that delve into regional industrial, social, and sports history. One highlight is Hale Farm & Village located in Bath, Ohio—a living history museum that immerses guests in 19th-century life through interactive experiences.
This museum is attached to the History Museum and perfect for those interested in architecture and restored mansions. They have several rotating exhibits as well as the restored home with furniture at the far end of the museum. The upstairs of this home was open for us to walk through and it was just one beautiful room after the other. It was obvious that they took great pride in preserving this home and its antiques. There was also time spent researching the prior residents and trends of the time as seen on plaques throughout the home. There is also a central and side garden which were not open due to the cold weather. Of note here is that you have to walk through several smaller exhibits to get to the actual house. It is somewhat easy to think you are done and miss it. This was a great find and I will definitely be back.

A very cool museum that we were delighted with, good staff, clean premises, there is a dressing room where you can leave your outerwear. Many cool cars, and the main thing is a playroom for children where you can play and read interesting books. Also, downstairs there are very cool mock-ups of a store, a hairdresser, children's things, as if I were in the distant past. There is also a movie theater where you can watch short stories, the statue of Superman is great. We were very satisfied, I recommend it to everyone))

Easily the best museum to visit while visiting Cleveland. The Western Reserve Historical Society (WRHS) museum houses the famous Crawford Auto and Aviation Collection and the Cleveland History Center. There is also a small Library in case you want to look up historical documents of from the Western Reserve era. With your museum entrance ticket, you get access to all the exhibits along with two ride tickets for the Euclid Beach Carousel that will be sure to be a hit with the young ones (or those that are young at heart). Although there are other museums in the museum area, the WRHS is uniquely Cleveland, and can't be found anywhere else in the world. Thus, the highest recommendation from us.

I was here for a local poetry conference and had no idea the community art center existed. I think it's a lovely space and houses more than just the arts center and also is home to the Cleveland rape crisis center as well as inlet dance theater. I was surprised by all of the interactive art and also there are huge exhibits from parade the Circle which was a subject for me because I took part and parade the circle in 2011. It was a lovely space and it was also nice to see so many young people using the space too and families during the same time we were. Honestly it made me inspired to go back to break the circle this year and to do more art.

Had fun taking my daughter. Open and spacious big art classrooms. They have so many materials you can use. Hot glue guns and staff willing to help you make anything you can think of.

This place was pretty cool. All of the impressive costumes from Parade the Circle are on display, there are murals, and at least 3-4 areas for making art. However, in spite of there being at least 5 employees or volunteers in the space, which was not busy (maybe only 10 total people), we had a hard time finding anyone to tell us what we were supposed to be doing in the drop-in art spaces. I believe each area had a prompt as far as what you could make with the materials, but only at one area did anyone tell us what the prompt was. Otherwise we were left to blindly try to figure it out. Benefit of the doubt, perhaps they were all busy with some behind the scenes work, and it’s a newish space, I think. So, hopefully they can iron that out or maybe just post a sign with the instruction or prompt so it doesn’t feel so chaotic. Have said that, I’m sure we’ll be back to check it out again sometime.

The Cleveland Harbor West Pierhead Lighthouse, located near Lake Erie in Ohio, is a captivating sight. In winter, the lighthouse becomes frozen due to the splattering of lake water rushing upwards. While not the closest spot, it can be seen from Voinovich Bicentennial Park behind the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The lighthouse holds a significant place in history and offers a unique experience for visitors.
Cleaveland Ohio Cleveland, officially the City of Cleveland, is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Cuyahoga County. Located in Northeast Ohio along the southern shore of Lake Erie, it is situated across the U.S. maritime border with Canada and lies approximately 60 miles west of Pennsylvania.

There come in the heart of the tourist moments of abject deference, as what I experienced a monstrous night with the Cleveland Harbor West Pierhead Lighthouse. These are not wholly good nor wholly bad nor any more existence than epinephrine nor any less dignity than destitution, yet the legacy of history still haunts us. Cleveland stands as the land of consummate existence at the head of a relentlessly marching rhythm of callus lessons learned from humility, and this lighthouse was no different. Much like an episode of Gilmore Girls, it had aged a bit worse than one expected, retaining the merits of its original with the fear of impending judgment as a consequence of societal improvement it could never have dared to hope could come true. Yet, here we stand. And there on the ground flopped a walleye, as desperate as ever for exposure. So, please indulge me while I indulge him: Oh love, I have never seen you like this, My ecstasy, trying to erase your Words as quick as you write them, trying to Forget the past as fast as you live. Sure, But could birds ever save you, fly as they Might? Could fish drag you down far enough for You to feel at home, or would they come up For air in vain? Try as I might, before I promise too much, my love, would you store Me close to see you as I most adore?

The Soldiers' and Sailors' Monument, situated in Cleveland's Public Square, is a grand tribute to the Ohioans who fought in the Civil War. Crafted by veteran architect Levi Scofield, this 1894 monument features dramatic bronze statues and reliefs that depict significant moments of the war. The Goddess of Freedom statue crowns the monument, guarded by the Liberty Shield. It stands as a remarkable work of art that narrates a compelling story through its intricate design and historical significance.
What a treasure this historic monument is - and the workers/volunteers are so knowledgeable. Once a year they open the tunnels under the monument up for tours, which is cool, but the best part is learning all about the monument, the different sides and sculptures, what they mean, the different statues contained inside the lobby etc. The underground tour is a minimal charge, usually in late April. But the monument itself is FREE every other day. If you live in or visit Cleveland you have to go visit this treasure of a monument - and plan on spending time talking to the volunteers/workers.

First timer in Cleveland, had to take a stroll through downtown at night to see the sights. Came upon this monument and noticed how safe the city feels. You really can’t go a block without seeing several police cars or hear sirens. The police are really active here.

We just happened upon the monument walking to our hotel. We were immediately greeted by an employee that told us the about the monument and its history. The architecture is beautiful, we really enjoyed our visit.

Looking better than ever, much better than it looked in the 1970’s! Do take the time to visit inside, it’s free, with many nice exhibits and impressive art. So many Presidents depicted. The volunteer hosts are helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Some people say the world is going downhill but at this place, it’s improved, well kept, and staffed with caring volunteers. Thanks to all. Allow 20-30 minutes for a fairly complete visit, but even a few minutes works if you are on a tight schedule.

If you simply walk in and look around and walk out, you will be missing out on a lot of history. The museum is free with several exhibits to see. You could be in and out in 15 minutes. But take a moment to talk to the guides. They can add so much to the background and history of why there is a museum. They can even point out some of the mistakes in the carvings. I thought it was interesting that they left one section for additions, but that small section quickly filled up.

Rocky River Reservation is a woodland park that spans across several communities from Berea to Rocky River. It offers hiking trails with opportunities to spot birds and deer. One of its main attractions is the Fort Hill Loop Trail, which covers 1.3 miles and includes the challenging Fort Hill Stairs with 155 steps, rewarding hikers with breathtaking panoramic views of the Rocky River. The trail also holds historical significance, featuring 2,000-year-old earthen walls built by early woodland tribes.
Love the new nature skate for kids! My kids thoroughly enjoyed it! And they always love going into the nature Center as well! So much fun for them to play inside the tree! Love the storybook Trail! And the path with the bridges.

Very fun walking trails. Has a nice nature center that has small aquariums and other aquatic animals. They also have maps, and different historical things to see inside. Theres chairs where you can sit and watch wildlife outside like birds, chipmunks, turtles, skunks, opossums. Theres one trail in particular that is very cute for kids, has a story throughout the trail. As you walk through the trail you seen more pages of the “story” and gives you insight to some of the animals on the trail. Very fun for kids to walk through and be excited to find the next page of the story or trying to find the metal silhouette that matches the page with the corresponding animal. Theres another long trail that features several sets of stairs overlooking the water and trees providing a very interesting and beautiful view if the trails.

We love Rocky River Nature Center! It is our go to for a quick easy outing that is guaranteed to wear our the kiddos of all ages. Inside there is a huge nature watchers windows with tons of chairs big and small for all ages to sit and enjoy. The indoor play area is immersive and kept my twin 3yo and 10yo occupied for hours. We had to come back a second time to visit the outdoor play area which was just as big of a hit! After crossing a small bridge it opens up to a nature play area with climbing rock walls, balance beams, and the twins favorite a giant duck. We have been back weekly since moving into the area and look forward to joining some events when they come around!

Immerse yourself in the rich holiday traditions and cultural heritage of Cleveland at the Cleveland History Center. Delve into the city's festive celebrations, from early settler customs to grand department store displays, on weekly tours starting December 1. Explore the region's history from its Native American origins to modern times through captivating exhibits featuring a diverse array of artifacts, including a carousel, antique vehicles, and LeBron James' shoe.
I learned SO much about Cleveland here. It's delightful and informative. I learned more about the city than I planned. Women in Politics was an awesome exhibit and I enjoyed learning about the Poor People's Movement. We never heard about that in history class!!! Such a proud display of info on the most underrated city in the US! I will be back to discover more!
Ced. B — Google review
When you're not from the area you don't expect Cleveland to impress. I certainly did not, and yet over the past two months I have found so many gems in this city it's difficult to not smile when I think about my time here. The Cleveland History Center was my most recent discovery today (5/2/25) and it is hands down just incredible. Sure they have an amazing car collection. Sure they have some wonderful aircraft. They even have a lovingly restored carousel that you can ride! But the real treat is in the mansions attached to the museum. There, rotating galleries have impressively curated collections on everything from women's suffrage to dolls to WW2! All of it housed in a grandiose set of stately homes that are breathtaking to walk through. I met quite a few staff members and they were as helpful as they are dedicated to their work, and I hope to go back soon to see the new exhibits about to open. After I leave Cleveland I'll miss it, which is a phrase I never thought I'd hear myself say. (Slow clap) Well done Cleveland, well done.

This museum was exquisitely precarious. The blend of historical pieces of art and automobiles made it a memorable date. There was also a Marygoround which the operator tried persuading me persistently to go on but nevertheless, he was nice. Very clean facility with more than just Cleveland history but a place where stories are in-captivated by surviving artifacts. They upkeep everything within the place to preserve and keep the items looking prestige. The staff didn’t bother me with any nonsense so if I could have, perhaps I would’ve given them a little good game on the rear if presented the opportunity for the quality service. I feel more knowledgeable about my home town city so thank you for everyone who put together such an exquisite presentation.

I really enjoyed seeing the cars in the Crawford Auto Museum section and reading about their history. If you are either a Cleveland fan and/or a car nerd, check out the map on the first floor of the locations of all the original auto manufacturers in greater Cleveland. Seriously cool. Plus, really enjoyed riding the original Euclid Beach Carousel and seeing its musical organ. ❤️
Jen C — Google review
This is an amazing museum and was way more than I expected. They had a special exhibit on Ford mustangs which complemented their existing car and motorcycle collection. You could spend hours going through the history of Cleveland’s role in the automobile industry. Very impressive. My favorite was the stainless steel cars and the 2008 Football Hall of Fame chopper. They also have a carousel for the kids to ride with docents knowledgeable in its history. Also of note is the part of the museum with the history and statues of Superman. This museum is attached to the Historical Society that is included in your ticket and I will review separately. It is also a must see.
Jennifer B — Google review
Great museum. They have a children's room with toys, books, blocks, a car and boat they can climb on, etc, which I just posted pictures of. The carousel is a highlight for our family and you can ride it as many times as you like with a membership. :)
Angie — Google review
Incredible car collection! The cars are brightly lit, with walk-around displays, and their sitting on their tires instead of being jacked up! The collection includes a 100 year old hybrid car (Owen Magnetic?), steam-powered cars, and early electric cars. They even have a GM EV1 (GM crushed most EV1s)! They also have a Goodyear blimp gondolla, a wonderfully decorated carousel that's a joy to ride, a gilded-age mansion, and a few aircraft including a P51 with the engine cover removed.
Kevin F — Google review
Very nice place. Took my father and he really enjoyed the Crawford auto museum. I enjoyed that and the mini bike display (I believe this is a temporary display). We had a nice time. Oh the Euclid Beach carousel is in here and it's beautiful. You can ride it if they have an operator on duty.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, one of the 12 Federal Reserve Banks in the US, is a symbol of the city's significance from a century ago. The building, which opened in 1923 after extensive design and construction efforts, stands as a testament to an era of remarkable urban growth. Spanning over 200 feet along Superior Avenue and East 6th Street, this thirteen-story structure is located in Cleveland's Civic Center district.
A hidden gem in Cleveland! It's open very limited hours, but it's well worth making time for it. Beautiful building that gives the history of US currency from the beginning up until modern time, along with the history of the building itself and how the federal reserve banks came to be (it used to have functioning gun turret).

A really cool free experience! A definite must do!! They ask that you bring your ID and be prepared to go through a mega detector. Check their website for hours and days open. They have limited days and hours of availability. We spent about an hour there. The free money at the end was an unexpected bonus. The movie was interesting and the history of the building, incredibly interesting. Whether the architecture or history of cash brings you in, you will not Be disappointed. Tip: bring some plain white paper for plate rubbings.
Kelli K — Google review
It was a hot day in Cleveland and we stopped in the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland to borrow some AC 😉 What a beautiful lobby. It is a shame that buildings are not built like the Reserve Bank. You have to go through security to enter the lobby. Once we completed that process we were allowed to take a tour of how money has evolved through the years. Fun exhibit that has a lot of interesting facts about money that we found surprising. One of the interesting thing to me was that the one dollar bill has the most units in circulation. That was not surprising but the 2nd largest amount of bills in circulation is the $100 bill. If you are in Cleveland and are a fan of architecture and history you need to spend some time at the Federal Reserve Bank. It is a great experience.

This review is for the Money Museum inside the Federal Reserve Bank in Cleveland, which the hours are listed for. The small public museum has a few interesting displays about money and an activity area for school field trips. Supposedly a group tour is available, but once again, probably only available to school field trips. The museum itself is completely free after checking in with the front desk. I was able to go through the entire museum in about 30 minutes, but the visit was totally worth it as there are bags of money for free at the end of the museum tour! Well, shredded money, but great souvenir that doesn't cost an arm and a leg is always appreciated.

Nestled at a prime corner in downtown Cleveland, the Cathedral of St John the Evangelist stands as a stunning testament to Gothic revival architecture. Originally built in 1852 under the skilled hands of Patrick Charles Keeley, this magnificent structure replaced an earlier church that served its parishioners along the Cuyahoga River. Over time, renovations have only enhanced its charm and allure.
Very beautiful Church. Stopped in and sat for about an hour on a Wednesday afternoon. What I thought was interesting is that they have a setup for the hearing impaired, They have a device you can ask for so you can hear the priest talking better during a mass, or you can download an app and you can listen to the mass with your earbuds in. I wish they had this set the church I go to because I cannot hear the priest half the time. A beautiful place to sit and reflect.

I come to this church whenever i'm in the area, this is a very beautiful church inside, nicely laid out, the architecture is amazing, they try as hard as they can to keep this church very unique, they also have a mass that is shown online, they do a perish picnic at edgewater park, the perishoners are very nice, they also keep the outside of the church looking very beautiful at night, they give off a really nice mass, that i'd have say is nicer then most masses in the city of cleveland, it has new york city feel to the church, they are also the first church in ohio to have the tomb of a patrion saint, the church is beautifully laid out during the christmas season, put it to ya this way, if Kevin macalester from home alone was real, and lived in cleveland, he would choose this church, God bless

The Baseball Heritage Museum tells the story of baseball from its origins up to the present day, with exhibits on both professional and amateur levels. The museum is located in the former home of the Cleveland Spiders, who played in Major League Baseball from 1891 to 1957.
Wow! What a historically significant place! The museum gives a thorough and detailed history of League Park, the former home of the Cleveland Indians as well as the Buckeyes (Negro Leagues), Spiders (Natuonal League) and Shores (Western League). Our tour guide was Auntie Brenda, as she was amazing! The field is still in use, and we watched a little bit of a youth game being played as the field has been updated and is being used. Seeing this place is a must if you are a sports history buff!

Getting to set foot on the replica field and get a feel for what once stood here was awesome. If you're a baseball fan, this is a "can't miss" place when you're in Cleveland. The museum has done a wonderful job of preserving the rich history of the site and telling the many stories of the great ballplayers that played at League Park. Todd, Brenda, and Liam are very passionate about the game that we all love, and it shows in their enthusiasm for the work they're doing. Highly recommend!!!

Not only is this a worthwhile place to visit for its historic significance, but the woman who gave us a tour outside (and a brief indoor tour before letting us explore on our own) made our day with her delivery of knowledge mixed with humor. We will not only remember the field and exhibits, which were amazing, but a person can really add vitality to an experience, and she sure did!!! I sadly did not get her name, but she was nice enough to pose for a picture next to a monument outside. For any baseball fan, especially for Cleveland, this is a must place to visit and learn!

They kids walked, explored, climbed and went on a scavenger hunt in throughout the forestry. The guide was amazing very engaging with kids. The party room was great space for the kiddos!

It is not part of the Cleveland metro parks so I was expecting a less than stellar experience. However, this is a very nice park on par with the Cleveland metro parks.
Allan F — Google review
Beautiful trails. Was there for field trip and have often come with my son to enjoy a nice walk in nature. Staff is very knowledgeable and fun to talk to about native plants and animals and other “nature” topics. There are also events to check out and you can rent some spots in the park too! Come check out the free seed giveaway. I will be picking some up this October!
Sharlene C — Google review
Very nicely maintained and beautiful. Great place to walk on well groomed trails, see a variety of flora, see and hear many birds, and observe fish, frogs, and turtles in clear running streams. All ages can enjoy.
Costa R — Google review
The trails are nice. The boardwalk is cool. The natural play area for kids is small but nice. The inside is small and not very interesting.
Nelson M — Google review
You can tell the organization put a lot of thought and planning into this place, there are very cute details, especially on the nature center side. Only wish this place was further away from the main road so you wouldn’t hear the cars. Wonderful place! A new favorite of mine!

Awesome place to explore, with fun facts posted everywhere in unexpected places.

A very nice and educational place to bring kids to learn and play in a fun and natural setting. The people who work there are very friendly and full of information. I recommend it highly. We will be back

Parks
Voinovich Bicentennial Park is a charming, man-made park offering artistic landscaping and a festival stage with stunning views of Lake Erie. Nestled in Cleveland, it's an ideal escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Spanning over four acres, the park provides various leisure opportunities such as volleyball, bocce, and fishing. In summer, visitors can enjoy outdoor concerts by the lake.
Voinovich Bicentennial Park is a true gem in the heart of the city. This beautifully designed park offers stunning views of the waterfront and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it perfect for everyone. From the moment you enter, you’re greeted by well-maintained gardens, lush greenery, and vibrant flower beds that provide a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. The park features ample walking paths, making it ideal for leisurely strolls or a brisk jog. The scenic views of the lake are breathtaking, especially during sunset, but what truly stands out is the beautiful view of the Cleveland skyline. It creates a stunning backdrop that enhances the park’s charm. One of my favorite aspects of Voinovich Park is the variety of activities available. Whether you’re interested in outdoor concerts, community events, or simply enjoying the beautiful landscapes, there’s always something happening here. The park is also pet-friendly, which is a huge plus for dog owners. Cleanliness and maintenance are clearly a priority, as the facilities are well-kept. Overall, Voinovich Bicentennial Park is a fantastic place to unwind, enjoy nature, and soak in the beautiful view of the Cleveland skyline. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the city!

Nice views. Worth taking a stop if your traveling to Cleveland. I think it's best to go in the evening to watch the sunset. Was not over crowded. Safe for families. Nice chill place. Security was around but not harassing anyone. It's like everyone knows the vibe. Minorities are welcome here as well. A nice mixed crowd with plenty of space for everyone. I think you need to park and walk though. I did not see much parking.
Dominic P — Google review
Usually I'm here during the air show. Being there during a random Monday afternoon felt so foreign and different. It was quite relaxing and enjoyable with gorgeous views of the lake and city.
Heather H — Google review
What a well designed park. They built up the lawn for great views of the stage. Access to food trucks was very convenient and allowed room for waiting lines. Plus a view of the water:)

Very nice enjoyable park. Great way to see a lot of Cleveland sites from this area. Look out over the lake, see the good time three, Cleveland stadium and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. All are easy walking distance from here.

Tony Brush Park is a charming little park located near Little Italy, making it a convenient spot for families and locals to enjoy. The park features fun playground equipment including big slides and swings, perfect for kids to have a great time. While there's a lovely gazebo, it's important to note that there are no restroom facilities on site, which can be inconvenient for families with young children. Additionally, finding parking in the area may pose some challenges due to limited street parking availability.
Great evening to grab a bike and go for a neighborhood bike ride. Conveniently located near the Little Italy RTA Red Train stop with a bike share station nearby. This photo captured from a warm fall evening in October. It is a Monday evening, and a photo before a casual paced Slow Roll Cleveland bike ride.
Deltrece D — Google review
Awesome little park right next to Little Italy. Fun playground equipment with big slides and swings. There's a little gazebo but NO bathrooms. For taking kids out this is a major issue. Still, it's a fun park but finding a place to park your car on the street can be tricky. Overall I recommend, but don't plan to stay long and know that it may take awhile to find a place to park.
Karlee B — Google review
This is a nice park and it's well kept and maintained. It looks like it would be a great place for kids to run and play and utilize the swing sets, slides and playground. There's a great historical sports statue of a baseball player as well as a historical statue of Christopher Columbus. I thought it was humorous that it's right along side of road called "Random"... So yes technically it's on a random road 🤣 There are a lot of great eateries, restaurants and delis, and even a Italian history museum close by.
E. ( — Google review
Why are the swings removed? How is playing on swings different than playing and climbing and touching all the other playground equipment? And the benches for parents to sit on are all the way on the other side. This covid world is stupid and makes no sense.
Andrea B — Google review
Nice park with a pavilion and playground for children. Frequented by young families. It needs a few more benches though.
Deniz B — Google review
Beautiful short hike. Loved being there!
Debbie F — Google review
This is a great modem park that is open even after dark year round until 9 PM! My kids played just fine due to the lights surrounding the park up until close which is great for anyone that wants to spend time with their children but don't get off work until after dark in the fall/spring. Very impressed with this park and look forward to visiting it often!
Chet K — Google review
Large playground with variety of activities. Accommodates wide range of children's ages. Only steps away from new rapid stop and many dining and treat options. Have gone many times and encountered nothing but friendly families.

Nestled along the shores of Lake Erie, Wendy Park is a hidden gem in Northeast Ohio that offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. This picturesque park features tree-lined paths perfect for leisurely strolls, as well as opportunities for fishing and boating. With its historic Coast Guard station adding character to the landscape, visitors can enjoy stunning views of the expansive blue-green waters. Wendy Park is particularly favored by those seeking tranquility away from more crowded spots like Edgewater Park.
Lovely place to watch the sunset, from your car (the photos attached to this review were taken from the driver's seat of my car) or a walk along the water/dock. Not nearly as packed as Edgewater, especially this time of year. Check it out! (The chance of seeing one of the large barges (boats/ships) is pretty good too!)

Great park, concert venue, by the wayer, by bridges, city and bridges view nice picture back drop. The Still has great food, inside and outside seating, bar, beer, food, great service. Dog friendly, safe and nice atmosphere. Free Concert series in the summer on weekends.
Cristina S — Google review
Absolutely love this park. Great place to come and just hang out. We have brought our dog here several times just to walk the park and let him smell new smells. Had the opportunity today to participate in the Cleveland metroparks whiskey island paddle fest and it was a total blast. The event was well organized and the turn out was larger then I was expecting. Will be signing up for next year for sure. There is also several beach volleyball courts and it's a great place to launch a SUP or kayak from.
Ron W — Google review
I don't understand why there are always so few people at this park. It's beautiful and quiet. There are several picnic tables, but it's best to bring a folding chair, if you have one handy.
Heatherd23 — Google review
Well maintained lakeshore Park. Lots of things to do here. It is accessible by car and by the hike and bike paved trail.
Lisa F — Google review
Wendy Park is an absolute hidden gem in Cleveland, offering a unique and stunning lakeside experience. Tucked away on Whiskey Island, it feels like a peaceful retreat just moments from the downtown bustle. One of the park's biggest draws is its incredible view. You'll get a spectacular panorama of the city skyline, the iconic Cleveland harbor, and the vast expanse of Lake Erie. It's the perfect spot to catch a sunrise or a breathtaking sunset, with the water and sky putting on a beautiful show. Beyond the views, the park is a fantastic place for a variety of activities. The recently completed Wendy Park Bridge provides an amazing pedestrian and bike connection from the Flats, making it even more accessible. Once you're there, you can enjoy walking and biking on the trails, playing volleyball on the courts, or launching a kayak or paddleboard from the access point. Bird watchers also flock to Wendy Park, as it's known as one of Ohio's top spots for spotting migratory birds. The atmosphere is always laid-back and friendly, making it a great destination for a casual day out with family, a picnic with friends, or a peaceful solo escape. Wendy Park truly showcases the best of Cleveland's lakefront, and it's a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy the city's natural beauty.

Stalwart first-run movie theater with 2 screens & vibrating rumble seating, plus a concession stand.
Small, clean Movie Theater that is never crowded. So nice to have this venue to go see movies.

Cinema is nice, local crowd is inconsiderate of others. People standing for long periods of time in the aisle, walking in 15 minutes late and walking back and forth trying to find a seat, and kids walking in the aisles with parents ignoring them as they run around.

Very comfy seats, good lighting and movie screen. The sound was also perfect. The bathrooms are likely the cleanest ones you will ever find in a movie theater and both employees working were very kind and courteous. The Salem Twin Cinema is one of those hidden gems that you need to visit often. Not to mention the yummy snacks there.

Most unique movie theater I’ve ever been to!! Quaint two theater cinema has rich lobby decor unlike chain theaters, vibrating rumble seat and recliner seats available. Private 6 person VIP rooms offer great party/group experience where own sound system provides for group interaction w/o disturbing main patrons. Clean food area, bathrooms, and many local restaurants within walking distance make this a theater worth traveling from outside Salem to “truly experience” not just watch the latest movie.
Jock B — Google review
Absolutely love this theater it's always our goto spot! Love the reclining chairs and vibe chair are even better with the scary movies! They are also one of the only ones I have found with closed caption for my fiance that's our most important accessory so very happy they provide this feature!

Heroes of Manufacturing Park is a vibrant and exciting playground located in the heart of Cleveland. The park offers a variety of unique climbing structures, basketball courts, a jumbo gym, a large tower for kids to explore, as well as a seesaw and zipline. The colorful and inviting playground sets make it an enjoyable experience for children, who are seen playing together harmoniously. With its clean environment and joyful atmosphere, it's an ideal destination for families looking to spend quality time with their kids.
This is such a fun, bright, and vibrant playground. The playground sets are bright and colorful and there are many parts to it that we have never seen at other playgrounds. All the children there played nice with one another. It was an overall good experience today. We look forward to coming back.

Tucker's Casino is a local establishment with a low-key ambiance, offering straightforward beverages and snacks. The setting is unassuming and has more of a lounge-like feel rather than that of a typical bar. What sets it apart is the lack of cellphone distractions, as people engage in actual conversations with each other. The karaoke performances are enthusiastic and enjoyable for all, creating an entertaining experience.
