The Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center in Santa Rosa is a whimsical destination for fans of the Peanuts comic strips. The museum is dedicated to the work of renowned artist Charles M. Schultz, featuring a variety of exhibits, artifacts, and photographs that chronicle his life. Visitors can explore permanent sculptures, a recreated studio, and even a Snoopy labyrinth.
It's a nice little museum and I'd recommend it to any Peanuts lover! They have a small gift shop with unique gifts from the museum. FYI- you can get some of the stuff online but I believe you just pay shipping. The staff we interacted with was nice and helpful. The grounds are clean and well kept. On the second floor they have a room where you can trace peanuts and make comic strips or Snoopy's house. If you take your time you can spend 2-3 hours here. The price for admission is decent also at $12 for adults and $5 for youth. I do believe that I saw online that the prices are going up soon.

A wonderful place to visit, explore and learn. The staff is friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable and professional. Kids of all ages are welcome and will thoroughly enjoy the exhibits and the beautiful surroundings. Especially rewarding for those who are fans of the work and humor of Charles Schulz and the characters he created.

If you are in Santa Rosa and would like to be nostalgic, please visit the Charles M. Schulz Museum. There was over 200 cartoons to read, sculptures to take selfies with, and lots to learn. They even had cartoon strips as tiles in the bathroom, which was quite creative. There were interactive areas, such as a photo “booth” where you can be Lucy the psychiatrist and spin the wheel. Once you have laughed, chuckled, and snickered as much as you want. Stop by the gift shop and grab a postcard, pen or pencil, a cup, books, and much more. Enjoy 💕 No food or drinks. There are stairs to the second floor. Children are more than welcome.
Tayna L — Google review
This is a gorgeous museum, very well thought out and laid out for the maximum display of the history and passion of Charles Schulz. His creation of the Peanuts comic strip is such a great story and the museum tells it perfectly. There are some interactive exhibits, a lot of memorabilia, colorful displays and several videos running to tell his story. When going through the museum, there's an area with glass display cases and drawers underneath them that are all labeled, make sure you look in those, there's a ton of information and history. Upstairs is a studio for you to create your own comic strip, they have guest artists regularly, a giant gift shop full of Peanuts souvenirs and even a cute cafe. The tour is self guided and you can take as much time as you like. We're from the older generation so the Peanuts comic strip is super relevant for us and we ended up there a couple hours reading nearly everything! Upstairs in the gift shop is where the original museum is located and there's some fun history up there too.
Cindy P — Google review
A lovely experience for any peanuts, snoopy, or small museum lover! Showing just a few photos- this place was so charming. Lots of history, OG peanuts art and of course, photo opportunities! The museum staff are so lovely, and gifted me a bracelet. Would definitely come back again next time I'm in Cali!
Kelsey J — Google review
This was an unexpected highlight of our trip! I honestly didn’t know a ton about Peanuts and went because my college age daughter wanted to go. It is such a well put together and loving tribute to a man that Santa Rosa clearly loved. A big, modern building with bright, vibrant displays. Worth a visit on your way through, great way to spend a couple hours!
Tsan D — Google review
08/02/25 This was our second time visiting the Charles M. Schulz Museum, and we loved it just as much as the first! There’s something really amazing about being surrounded by all the Peanuts art (regardless of it’s a copy or the original) and seeing the backstory on all Schulz’s characters. Overall, the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center is fun, relaxing, and full of little details that make you smile. We’re glad we visited a second time and would definitely visit again! 🐶 🐾
Saniya R — Google review
It was so nostalgic being here. You get to learn a lot about Charles Schulz and his other interests besides comics. It was cool to see the books in other languages! I visited on a Monday when the museum opened at 11 AM and there were already a good amount of people there. It’s only $7 for ticket if you’re a student! So make sure to bring your student ID. The cafe and ice rink are right by the museum and are also a must-see.

Luther Burbank Home & Gardens is a must-visit public park in downtown Santa Rosa, serving as a living museum dedicated to the renowned horticulturist Luther Burbank. The site features his Greek Revival-style home, greenhouse, carriage house, and an impressive garden with over 800 plant varieties developed by Burbank himself.
Definitely take a tour. Only way to go inside the house. The gardens can be seen without a tour (but included). Marti was an amazing guide. She knew so much! Tour was over an hour, she had so many stories and interesting information to share. By and far best docent I’ve had at any place, ever. Street parking. There is a small gift shop too.
Frank O — Google review
Gardens were nice, but nothing worth making a special trip for. The house was unimpressive. Maybe if we'd gone inside and taken a tour, we'd feel different. We have something similar in our own town, that's maybe even nicer, so it was pretty underwealming.
Briantravelman — Google review
The Luther Burbank Home & Gardens in Santa Rosa is a peaceful and charming historic site that showcases the life and work of famed horticulturist Luther Burbank. Designed in a modified Greek Revival style, the home, greenhouse, and gardens reflect Burbank’s legacy of innovation, where he developed over 800 plant varieties, including the Shasta daisy and Russet Burbank potato. Visitors can explore lush gardens filled with labeled plants, walk through his original greenhouse, and view the cottage where he lived. The space is thoughtfully maintained, with free entry, guided tours available seasonally, and occasional events like plant sales and family days. While the atmosphere is tranquil and inspiring, there are a few practical notes to consider. The site does not have a dedicated parking lot, only free street parking, and there are no refreshments available onsite—so visitors should plan accordingly. Some parts of the property, like the museum, require a guided tour to access. Still, this hidden gem offers a unique opportunity to connect with local history, science, and nature. Supporting places like this helps preserve public heritage—just like getting a library card supports public libraries, visiting here helps keep local culture alive.
Caezar A — Google review
After taking a tour of the gardens and the home, it was clear to anyone why Luther Burbank was fascinated with plants. There were many flowers blossoming as well trees and bushes to be admired. The most lovely part of the area was the rose garden located in the front. I recommend taking the time to dress up because it is worth taking pictures here. Entry to the gardens & the museum is free to the public. There are guided tours ($12, $10.00 students/seniors, under 12 free.) Although there is no parking lot, it was not difficult to find street parking.
Tayna L — Google review
Beautiful historic gardens. And it’s free. Donations welcome.

I visited few times the Museum. Specially in Christmas. The atmosphere was very nice. People friendly and courtesy. Feeling back on time while inside. Took my cup of tea with homemade cookies that ladys did at shop and listen conversation. Thought was dreaming. Was an unforgettable experience. The flowers are beautiful just like the Museum and the people who take care of.
Carlos M — Google review
Once in your life you should visit and take the time to learn about the important work once done here. Horticulture has a lot of great minds and the Burbanks rank at the top. Take the house tour when it opens back up. Ask about Frida and Diego. I drop by most times that I'm in Santa Rosa. It's a beautiful garden with a beautiful park across the street. A lot of people come here to take wedding and quinceañera photos.

Nature & Parks
Trione-Annadel State Park is a vast park in eastern Santa Rosa, often referred to as the 'Central Park' of Sonoma County. It boasts three lakes and a reservoir, offering activities such as fishing with a license, hiking, biking, and horseback riding. The Rough Go Loop within the park provides challenging rocky terrain and steep climbs for hikers. Additionally, the park offers some of the best mountain biking trails in California.
I love that we have so many hiking trails in Sonoma County to explore. There are a variety of trails to hike. A variety of landscaping is offered from for trees, a lake, ferns & creeks.
Lisa — Google review
Excellent mtb riding. Trails are getting dusty but still great traction. Get out early because it's June and the heat will kick in by noon
Carl F — Google review
A great trail for beginners. Brought 4 kids with me and thoroughly enjoyed it. No fees and available parking at the base.
Penisoni J — Google review
We had such an amazing hike here that I hesitate to talk about it. We have hiked all over California and the West, and were delighted to find this beautiful and serene place. There are miles of trails, some very rocky, so care is required going up and down. We saw quite a few mountain bikers, (mostly middle aged men) not the speed demons of Mt. Tamalpais. The park is utterly quiet, with gorgeous meadows and somber oak trees. I was sitting on a small boulder at one point and the thought came to me that I might be in heaven. Serendipity at its lovely best.
Desert E — Google review
NO DOGS ALLOWED. Please be respectful of this for health of wildlife and ecosystem. Lovely hike through oak woodlands and a variety of wildflowers. So nice to see the tadpoles in the small pond. Various levels of difficulty of hiking, but definitely lots of uphill. Lots of exposure in the sun but some cover in the oak. Woodlands. No parking fee at Cobblestone trail.
Che — Google review
This state park had incredible mountain bike trails! It was super awesome to ride. Would be even better if they had bathrooms with flushing toilets and running water, but otherwise a beautiful park to visit.
Alika — Google review
Great trails for hiking, biking or horseback riding. No dogs though. A mix of single track & fire gravel roads. Can be rocky. Mixed terrain w/ beautiful views, a lake, flowers, birds & creeks. Beware of the poisen oak! Simply, nature at it's best👍
Andi A — Google review
Online parking pass was super easy. Water available at trail head and maps posted around the park and small printed ones available at trail head. The trails are well maintained though rocky and technical for mountain biking or trail running.

This stately facility has a rich collection of exhibits documenting the region's past. The exhibitions focus on different aspects of culture, history, and art from Sonoma County. There is also a sculpture garden outside the building.
Lovely museum! There are two separate buildings with different galleries & a sculpture garden. Friendly staff. Highly recommend a visit!

Small interesting museum space located in a former U.S. Postal Office building. The first airmail in the US flew out of Sonoma County in 1911, when Fred Wiseman flew from Petaluma to Santa Rosa, delivering mail, newspapers, and other items. This flight is considered the first airmail delivery sanctioned by a U.S. postLots of good

A good museum to stop. I visited the Museum of Sonoma County and was pleasantly surprised by its charming exhibits. The blend of art and history offered a great insight into the region's culture. It’s a cozy spot that’s definitely worth a visit.
Carlo C — Google review
Small with one exhibit area under development. Main exhibit in the art museum was about low rider culture. Separate building next door for history (admission covers both) has nice coverage of local history from indigenous peoples through the 20th century.
Todd G — Google review
The museum including 2 main building the classic old and modern building, classic one in 2 floors including precious painting from over 100 years ago to the more current items on upstairs. There’re also a lot of informative equipments like touch screens and audio systems which explain the county history and story of immigrants and population. There is an exhibition of wooden art works in the next building too which is valuable, take a look at my pictures, please.

I highly recommend that you also make a plan to come visit this special place. It is one of those places that it is very important to look back and see where things are now and foresee the future in our community, our place of worship, a place to serve in service to others and a place to reside. A of place work , place to raise our children and a special place to live our lives and a place to leave it behind. Sonoma County is a beautiful place with vibrant people in its historical background. Come to visit it yourself!

The Children's Museum of Sonoma County is a place where kids can learn about art, science and nature. There are different zones with interactive exhibits that are designed to be engaging and stimulating for young minds.
There’s no doubt that this was the most fun day in the lives of our 1-year and 5-month-old twins since they were born. We wish this place were closer to our home—we’d come every day. And with so many different activities here, we’re sure they’d never get tired of it, even if we came daily.
Fumiko K — Google review
My daughter loves it here. I think it's expensive and the staff usually has a blonde moment or two when I arrive. They don't allow adults to enter without children so once they gave me a hard time when my mom went in first with my daughter. Trust me I wouldn't want to be there without my two year old. Lol But it is an amazing place with all kinds of stuff. Plus it's always busy with lots of kids and people. So you know that's for a reason.
Amanda B — Google review
Amazing place to spend the day with your children! There were so many activities to enjoy for children’s of all ages. There was a “salta & pepper diner”, “nuts and bolts hardware store” a farmer’s market, and so many water activities, this place will keep your children entertained for hours and hours. And if you need an energy boost; there is a small coffee and tea stand to enjoy 💕
Tayna L — Google review
The Children’s Museum of Sonoma County is pure magic the kind of place where learning feels like play and every corner holds a new adventure waiting to be discovered. From the moment we walked in, our kids were captivated by the hands-on exhibits that seem perfectly designed to spark curiosity and creativity. What makes this museum truly special goes beyond the engaging displays and interactive stations. The staff genuinely cares about creating meaningful experiences for every child who walks through their doors. They’re patient, encouraging, and clearly passionate about what they do. Watching my shy daughter gain confidence as a museum volunteer helped her navigate the art station was a beautiful reminder of how the right environment can help kids flourish. But here’s what really sets this place apart: their incredible Open Door Policy. When you’re at the front desk, ask about it - this museum believes that financial circumstances should never prevent a family from enjoying this wonderful experience. You can make a donation in any amount for entrance, ensuring that every child in our community has access to this inspiring space. It’s rare to find an organization that so genuinely lives its values. The Children’s Museum doesn’t just say they welcome all families they remove barriers to make it happen. In a world that can feel divided, this feels like a beacon of what community should be. Your kids will leave with huge smiles, and you’ll leave feeling hopeful about the kind of place we’re raising them in.

Toddler heaven! My 22 month old loved every corner, nook and cranny whether inside or outside! Perfect place to bring your toddler/s to get their energy out. They thought of everything a toddler could want to see, touch, and play! Went here on Friday and they had Musical Story-Telling in the morning. There's also a corner safe for 2.5yr olds and under. Super cute! Highly recommend!
Dita B — Google review
The Children’s Museum in Santa Rosa is such a fun place for kids to explore, learn, and burn off energy. The outdoor area is amazing — plenty of space to run around and lots of creative play options. Inside, there are tons of interactive exhibits, though a few of the fun things were broken during our visit. It could also be a little cleaner, especially in the high-touch play areas. Still, the staff is friendly, and overall it’s a great spot for a family outing.
Mary S — Google review
What a fun spot! We drive over 1.5 hours to come here about twice a year. This place has such a great atmosphere inside and outside. I love the new additions of the wooden nature playground in the front. This museum is wonderful for 1-7 years of age. I rated it lower because every time I’ve been here the bathrooms are horrible. Toilet paper everywhere, water all over the floors, and staff just sitting at the front desk not even monitoring. Most recently in July, a younger staff member in the art room seemed very unengaged. Often on bus phones and I had to actually interrupt him to get his attention 😅 what…. You’re working at a kids place that emphasizes exploration and creativity… get off your phone games. **there is coffee and a small pop up cafe on Fridays and saturdays**
Nina S — Google review
Great children's museum to visit, if we lived in the area we would definitely get a membership, as the museum feels like a great spot for quick visits between naps. It is a smaller museum, but it is packed with things to see and do. The outdoor play areas were a huge hit, the water play area in particular. The aprons were much appreciated but we were still greatful to have a change of clothes in the car. The tractor and helicopter were very nicely done, and we appreciated all the areas for shade.

The Historic District of Santa Rosa allows you to step back in time and observe the way things used to be in a simpler, yet magnificent era. There are also many restaurants to choose from. The SMART Train stops in the District and is a great way to spend the day.

"This is a beautiful and thoughtfully curated place that truly captures the significance of the railroad in America's history and development. The exhibits showcase well-preserved historical artifacts and pieces of Americana, offering a rich, hands-on glimpse into the past. Nice historic place with a visitor center. Nearby by . Mostly old historical buildings and antique stores. It was pretty empty in the area there is the local cummute train stop behind the visitor center The visitors center has some souvenir s , but we couldn't find any new souvenir shops selling the Snoopy memobrailias.

Located at the Charles M. Schultz-Sonoma County Airport, the Pacific Coast Air Museum is a must-visit for aviation enthusiasts. Since 1989, this non-profit organization has been dedicated to collecting, restoring, and displaying American aircraft from various historical periods. With over 30 aircraft on display, including jets and military planes from significant wars, visitors can explore these vintage treasures and learn about their history through educational exhibits.
Rich in aviation history, each plane has its own story from where they came from and how it ended up at PCAM, the workers and volunteers were super nice and helpful. Thanks for keeping this museum in shape, and intact just like I remember it from when I was a kid. Tickets were 10$ witch is super affordable and reasonable for adults

Mostly an outdoor display museum, which can be a bit warm in the summer. The hangar was currently off limits for renovation. Good thing is that you can get up close and personal with many of these aircrafts, especially on open cockpit day. I believe this place is run by volunteer docents.
Ton T — Google review
Really loved going here. Such a gem in a small city. I think most people might not bother to come, but for the friendly staff and the amount of aircraft and their condition, this place is amazing. Went here with my family back in March, and I won’t lie I was so fascinated by all the aircraft history. I hope to come back here again. Preserving history like this, is not easy, and I’ll definitely donate to help keep this place alive.
Goblin S — Google review
It’s a decent aviation museum with not too many airplane displays. Besides, there's no intro or plane info, so you don’t know what you’re looking at unless you know your planes. The place is not organized since there was also a car show when I was there. The place could be a bit crowded that even taking pictures alone with the planes could be difficult. Planes are well-maintained, though. A friendly place for adults and kids.
John M — Google review
My boys (5 and 10-years old) are HUGE airplane enthusiasts. I wanted to try something new as we have already been to the California Aerospace Museum, Castle Air Museum, and the Oakland Aviation Museum. I must say now that this is an awesome little place with a great collection of aircraft. The day we arrived there were actually only two staff on site: someone at the cashier's desk for the gift shop and another gentleman outside tending to the aircraft on display. Despite this, we had an amazing tour and the customer service was A+++. The volunteer who provided our tour (I can't remember his name at the moment) was so engaging and provided us with lots of aircraft history. We even had the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of one of the planes. We sincerely enjoyed ourselves. The Pacific Coast Air Museum is worth the trip!
Hollie I — Google review
Great Place with Excellent Volunteers! We went on a morning that was a little rainy, but not when we were there, so we had the whole place and knowledgeable volunteers to ourselves. Walked in not knowing much about planes, but left with more knowledge and a great appreciation. I just wish I could've thought of more questions for the volunteers that had all the answers. They also have a flight simulator that looked fun ($10 for 20 minutes), but no one on site could operate it, so we intended to return later that day, but didn't make it back. Nice place to spend a few hours enjoying the planes, helicopters, and all the miniatures that exist inside the room. Very pleasant and friendly. You have a flight simulator so you want to train to fly. There is a shop where you can buy miniatures, T-shirts, caps, well handy.

Spring Lake Park is a vast outdoor space that offers a range of activities for visitors. The park features a campground, swimming lagoon, and a 72-acre lake where guests can enjoy boating, fishing, paddleboarding, kayaking, and windsurfing. With 9.7 miles of multi-use trails, it's ideal for hiking and biking enthusiasts.
Perfect place to take the kids for a fun day. My wife and I ever turned there several times and we plan on continuing to go as long as the weather holds up. Our one year-old loves the water and so do our older kids. The only thing I didn’t like was that they never have oysters. They advertise it on the menu, but week after week they don’t. But that’s not a big deal.

We ended up on the boat ramp side at the ramp. No restrooms over there. We did paddle boarding. The lake was super glassy and calm. No waves and nearly no other folks on the water on a Thursday morning. However, the water is just full of algae. Not enough to grab your paddle or the fin on your board, but it is just all over. The lake is small; we went very slowly and looked at all the scenery and it only took an hour to circumnavigate the whole thing. We saw fish (big carp and small bass), river otters, a turtle, several types of birds, etc. It is a very pretty area. If we were to go again, it would be at the other entrance where the lagoon and rentals are. Rating is for the boat ramp entrance.

This park pretty much has something for everyone. From hikers, cyclists, runners, boaters, fishers, birders, swimmers, families with kids, and dog walkers, this is a great place to visit. With so much to offer, the only real downside is how crowded it can get. The county park is kind of sandwiched between a city park to the west, and a state park to the east. So, particularly for hikers and cyclists you can extend your activities into those parks for a longer trip. And there's also a campground for those who want to enjoy a multi-day visit. Bathrooms and water fountains can be found around the park. The main trails are paved. But there are also a number of dirt trails to explore. And the seasonal swimming lagoon is a big draw during the hot summer months.

I love coming here with my partner and my dog to walk the spring Lake loop. It’s a great activity to do after a long day of work when it starts to cool off and you can just go and enjoy some nature and be around some people that are also being active. Lots of blackberry bushes so when it’s that time of the year, be sure to bring a little Tupperware to collect some blackberries! Happy trails!

The park is beautiful and well-maintained, just a 2-hour drive from us. The ranger at the entrance gave us a warm welcome, and the campsites were pleasant with plenty of shade in most areas. Our restroom was clean and even had hot water. Showers work with coins, so it’s best to bring quarters. I especially enjoyed walking around the park—it’s such a peaceful place. If I lived nearby, this would definitely be my go-to spot for an afternoon walk.

The Luther Burbank Center for the Arts is an arts venue in Santa Rosa, California that offers a variety of performing arts shows and events. It is well known for its theater productions, as well as its education and community engagement programming.
We went to watch David Space and it was amazing, he absolutely slayed it. The venue is nice, the seats were comfortable and the sound and stage were perfect from were we sat in the middle of the first floor. The drinks are expensive of course, and the lines are long like everywhere but remember they had a bar area upstairs and two on the first floor. Bathrooms are clean and parking was easy. Another tip they had an exit gate out behind the building for exiting the parking so when the event ends everyone goes to the front and you will get stuck so you’re welcome!

Went to the wine tasting event. I asked to go outside and smoke a cigarette. Was told if I leave I can't come back in the event. I understand but then they allow a couple to come back in right in front on me. I say something to security and I'm told tell someone who cares. I was disappointed respected and treated unfair. What kind of security are they hiring

Additionally, there are various amenities such as hiking and biking paths, tennis and softball courses, a parcourse fitness circuit, as well as attractions like an animal barn, pony rides, a carousel, and a simulated 1863 C.P.
Amazing large park. Swing sets, merry go round, train ride, cool playing equipment, western backdrop, bathrooms. One of the best parks for kids I have been to. Tons of fun to be had here and not too crowded most of the time.

Great park for kids. Climbing, swinging, rock jumping, and pedaling. We went on the paddle boats and our 10 year did most of the padding while the grandparents enjoyed the beautiful lake and birdwatching.

Great place to bring kids to play, there's a playground area, picnic tables, a train (not working currently. During summer there's plenty more to do, small boat rentals, a carousel, and a place to get snacks. Plenty of parking and room to roam. I personally enjoy the paved walking trail here, such a nice walk to take on a spring day. There are many trails to take that are not paved that go in to Spring Lake, and even in to Annadel Park which has plenty more to see. All around this is a great place to hike or have a full on party. This weekend they're having the Doggy Dash on the Spring Lake side which allows you to bring your dog to enjoy the little lake. Great little event for your furry friend. Highly recommend this park for your family and other events.

Jack London State Historic Park is a vast and beautiful park dedicated to the famous author, Jack London. It features his gravesite, a museum, historic buildings, and various trails that wind through grassy meadows and evergreen woodlands. The park showcases the life of Jack London, from his adventurous pursuits like war reporting and gold prospecting to his sustainable farming practices at his ranch in Glen Ellen.
What a great place. Beautiful grounds and area. Such an interesting history about the famous author and his wife. The docents there are very helpful and knowledgeable. I definitely reccomend taking the tour that talks about Jack London's agricultural contributions. So interesting and fascinating!

An unexpected delight! We didnt know what to expect, so were surprised at how much we enjoyed our visit and learned about Jack London. Mom is in a wheelchair, which is not ideal for a comfortable visit, but younger families should plan to spend the full day walking and exploring. The museum and gift shop is wonderful with a lot of information packed in a small space. All those that work at the park that we interacted with were wonderfully educated on the subject and willing to share their knowledge. We can't wait to be back!

My friends and I made an impromptu stop and we're not disappointed. We followed their recommendation and hiked the trail to Jack London's grave and home. It was about 30mins each way, and lots of lovely scenery. You'll find some redwoods near his home.

Magical place to hike! Loop trails being you into wooded areas out of the sun whether easy or moderate. Walked beside the vineyard and among the Eucalyptus on soft needle trails and some fire roads and time stands still. London was a huge advocate of sustainable farming practices and since many dwellings (relics) still stand you can almost feel this working farm. ($10 entrance fee through Main Entrance)

Nestled in Sonoma County, Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens is a must-visit for wine enthusiasts. This iconic winery is renowned for its Chardonnay and has been recognized for its sustainability efforts, including water conservation and solar power use. The estate offers tastings and garden tours, allowing visitors to explore the elaborate culinary gardens that supply ingredients for their culinary experiences.
We had the 5 course tasting menu and wine pairing. Absolutely superb. We were hosted by Jackie who’s very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was excellent! I mean truly excellent. It complemented the wine perfectly (or is it the other way around? 😁) and was cooked by a talented team. We bought some wine that cannot come home on the plane so we’ll just have to drink it!

We had time to kill and weren’t too far away from Kendall-Jackson, so we looked them up online and tried to use their online reservation system to book a visit, but there wasn’t any availability, so since we were so close, we stopped in… glad we did, as they were available to take us and weren’t very busy at all. This visit actually went very well, our wine educator, Mitchell was very helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable as well. The wines we tried were far from what you’d normally get at your local grocery store, wine store, etc, as these are smaller batch wines and they’re definitely worth trying. The venue is beautiful and if you’re hungry, the fries were incredible! They were freshly made, piping hot, and tasted great, especially with the tarragon dipping sauce. They weren’t well with the bubbles too. We enjoyed this visit and would return if/when we’re back in the area.

Superb in every way possible. Excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Beautiful property, and the wines were phenomenal. 10000/10 would recommend. We did a walk in too and the staff was warm and welcoming.

The 4 of us came here for the Chef's Five Course wine pairing lunch on Sunday 8/10. The estate wine collection exceeds our expectation. The smoked trout pairs well with the Panorama Vineyard Pinot Noir. The duck breast with carrot puree and cherry sauce pairs very well with the Jackson Hills merlot. The dessert goes well with the Orange muscat. It's located close to STS airport making it a great last minute pit stop before flight. We're quite surprised by the Estate collections which are only available via the wine club and directly from the winery. We're so pleased to have Jackie taking care of our group for this experience.

Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens - A Must-Try Experience! The food and wine pairing at Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens is an absolute must-try. Every dollar spent here is worth it. The exquisite food and perfectly paired wines create a memorable culinary experience. An online reservation is needed, and don’t forget to let them know if you have any dietary restrictions—they’ll go above and beyond to accommodate you. Make sure to reserve at least 2 hours to fully enjoy everything they offer. The setting is beautiful, and the staff is knowledgeable and welcoming. If you’re a wine lover or simply looking for a great way to spend an afternoon, Kendall-Jackson is the place to be!
Olga L — Google review
My wife and I had a wonderful wine tasting experience at Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens. The tasting areas (both indoors and outdoors) are in a lovely mansion surrounded by beautiful gardens. We toured the gardens which are like a botanical garden on par with the gardens at Filoli Gardens and Butchart Gardens. We felt very welcomed by the employees. We arrived early to our tasting and were welcomed by one employee who gave us an extra tasting to enjoy while we waited for our reserved tasting to start. There is a nice selection of merchandise available, and my wife got a lovely shirt. Our tasting was at a private table outdoors facing the gardens. We tasted a wide range of delicious wines and several that were not in the standard tasting. All of the wines were outstanding. I especially loved the two dessert wines and the red wines. Our tasting was accompanied by a generous charcuterie board which went well with the wines. Our hostess was very friendly and informative. This is probably our favorite winery. We purchased 11 bottles of wine. We loved the wine, food, and the service. We will return.

Absolutely amazing experience! I called earlier in the day to see if they had room for walk-in’s and they got us in at the start of the day. We had a great time with Brad and tasting so many different varietals and such a great education on the region, even picked a few wines to try catered to our preferences. Also, the most beautiful grounds and so much to see with the lavender and amazing views. Got a few wines sent to our home, totally worth it. Also the bocce was fun too!

Our experience here was incredible. We reserved a tasting and it was easily the best one we've had. Our tasting guide made the experience very personal and memorable. We felt very welcome, and the grounds were absolutely gorgeous. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the region. Plus, the wine was incredible, the Journey Chardonnay, and it had the taste of a delightful buttery croissant.

Matanzas Creek Winery is a fantastic spot and one of the more memorable tastings I’ve had in Sonoma. The variety of red blends featuring Malbec and Merlot really stood out, with each wine offering something unique and well-balanced. The property itself feels friendly and cozy, making it a great place to relax and take your time. One of the best parts of visiting is the beautiful lavender fields, which you can wander through and enjoy at your own pace. They add a special charm to the whole experience and make this winery a must-visit.
Peter F — Google review
We were first greeted by an older woman who told us that wine tastings weren’t available—only bottles—and that they didn’t offer charcuterie boards. After buying a bottle, we sat outside to enjoy it. Shortly after, a couple next to us asked for a charcuterie board. A staff member checked and brought one out for them. When I asked again, I was then told that boards were available by reservation only—something that was never mentioned to us. Overall, the experience was underwhelming and the service felt inconsistent and unwelcoming.

Our visit to Matanzas Creek Winery was truly unforgettable. Nestled among rolling hills and blooming lavender fields, the winery offers not only exceptional wines but also an incredibly aesthetic and charming atmosphere that instantly soothes the soul. The wine tasting was fabulous—elegant, well-curated, and perfectly paired with the stunning surroundings. We especially enjoyed being able to relax outdoors, surrounded by beauty at every turn. What made our experience even more meaningful was Robin, whose kindness and heartfelt support toward us as Ukrainians deeply touched us. Her empathy and grace added a personal and emotional layer to an already wonderful visit. This is not just a winery—it’s a place of peace, beauty, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an inspiring and tasteful experience in Sonoma.

Snoopy's Home Ice, located in Santa Rosa, CA, is an alpine-themed skating arena that holds a special place for fans of the Peanuts comics as it was created in 1969 next to the Schulz Museum and Research Center. It's a great spot for families and offers a cool escape during the summer months. The rink also hosts romantic date nights on ice with opportunities for both beginners and experienced skaters to enjoy some quality time together.
A great place for skating for both adults and kids. Typically it's packed especially during the weekend so it might be difficult to skate freely. They have training/beginners section with buckets available for training Prices are very affordable but it's open to the public during certain hours, so make sure to check the times before heading there. Food is also very delicious especially their hot chocolate Also plenty of parking spaces nearby so you don't have to worry about parking.

I was in the area visiting the museum and saw the Peanuts characters continue across the street so checked it out. The shrub outside shaped like Snoopy. Charlie Brown statue dressed in hockey garb. Further down near the gift shop is a Woodstock dressed as a referee and another Snoopy. As well as a star in the sidewalk for Charles Shultz. Inside the ice arena there is a cafe that is super cute with Peanuts decor from stained glass, to drawings to cartoons that line the walls. Also, the table frequented by Charles Shultz is memorialized there. From the cafe you can look on to the ice and view all the activities going on there. It's a neat place.

Snoopy's Home Ice is one of the coolest ice skating rinks we’ve ever seen. Built in 1969 by the Charles Schultz family and inspired by the Swiss alps (and Snoopy of course), they were the host of the ISI Snoopy Open 2025 this weekend. Natalie Anglin was ecstatic bringing home another Gold medal in her first competition (Open Freestyle which we were up at 5:30 AM to compete) and a Silver medal in her Artistic competition. The Snoopy Museum, Santa Rosa, California next door was neat to see as well.

Snoopy’s Home Ice in Santa Rosa is an incredible place to spend time with friends while enjoying the excitement of a Growlers game! The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for hockey fans and families alike. The games are not only entertaining but also offer a fantastic way to connect with the local community. The rink itself is absolutely charming, with its unique Peanuts-themed decor paying homage to Charles M. Schulz, who gifted this iconic venue to the area. There’s a sense of nostalgia and warmth that makes it feel so much more than just an ice rink…it's a slice of Santa Rosa’s heart. The snack bar and beverage options are a great bonus. Whether you're indulging in a classic game-time treat or sipping on a beverage while catching up with friends, the food and drink offerings really round out the experience. If you’re looking for a memorable night out filled with fun, laughter, and a bit of nostalgia, Snoopy’s Home Ice is a must-visit. Between the Growlers games and the overall vibe of the place, it’s a treasure that keeps us coming back for more.

My family all but lives at this facility for hockey. Having grown up in Michigan and lived in Minnesota, this rink is entirely unique. The legacy of the Schulz family with museum and gift shops next door, the rink has a peanuts themed cafe and an interior modeled after a traditional European (Bavarian?) landscape. The first time I went it was fantastic! They played 80s and 90s music. I loved every minute of it! Weeks later, my 2nd experience, to my opinion...the band really was lousy! Not only because of their political attributes and opinions but their music, NOT A FAN!! Please musicians, this is a family event Keep your political BS and opinions to yourself! Nobody wants to hear it and just because you have a stage to announce it on doesn't mean you should! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Today was my first experience at this market, and although it was small (smaller than I anticipated = meaning, fewer vendors), everyone was really kind and pleasant, which goes a long, long way. We purchased Santa Rosa Plums 😍 Tried the Healsburg Bagel Company breakfast sandwhich - which as absolutely incredible! And could not pass up on the Costeaux Bakery baked goods! These were some of the best baked goods I have ever had and I love pastries!

The Santa Rosa Farmers Market is conveniently located with plenty of parking. They are currently open every Saturday from 8:30-1pm. They will soon be open on Wednesdays starting March 5th for their midweek market so you will soon have two opportunities to visit them throughout the week. This was the first time to this farmers market and I wasn't sure what to expect, although I was very pleasantly surprised. There was a wide variety of items such as fresh seasonal local produce such as eggs (both chicken and duck eggs), fruit, vegetables, meats and cheeses. They also had baked goods such as pastries, bagels, and other breakfast food items. There were also local food trucks serving food and vegetables. There were lots of other items such as flowers, jewelry, pottery, garden metal art, and CBD products. They also had pre-packaged foods like hummas and pita bread, honey, and olive oil. I came here more to check it out and with no plan on what I wanted to purchase and more to understand what this farmer's market was like. I ended up getting oranges and eggs and will definitely be back again now that I know all that they have to offer. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. It had a great energy to it. It's also great knowing that you are supporting local and family owned farms and small businesses. If you haven't checked them out, I highly recommend it! Tip: I would recommend bringing a reusable bag to put all the items you purchase into. If you don't have one, the parking lot is extremely close so you can put whatever items you purchase in your car and continue shopping. I would also recommend bringing cash if possible. While vendors accept both card and cash, cash is preferred since the vendors get charged a fee when they run a credit card.

Good food but most things are overpriced. Whatever happened to farm to market prices. We found everything cheaper and better in the markets.

This is such a great farmer’s market! I’m so lucky because I work nearby so I get to come once or twice a week. Check it out!

Passing on the highway and saw this little farmers market, can’t help to stop and see if there’s any deliciousness here. The farmers market is small but we found this gem when we were searching for food! Hands down the best breakfast burrito I have ever had! The goat cheese and cheddar have such a nice touch to the taste with the tortilla pan fried to golden brown! It’s amazing! I will be expecting them to grow from the farmers market to an actual restaurant!

Visiting from out of town. Wanted to go because the reviews seemed good. The official website didn't mention dogs before I went. Get there and see the NO PETS sign. Bummed because I am traveling with my dog. Could you please make this policy more prominent on your site?

DeLoach Vineyards, located in Sonoma's Russian River Valley, has been a pioneer in producing Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Zinfandel for over 30 years. In 2003, the Boisset family brought their sustainable winemaking experience from Burgundy to California and replanted the award-winning vineyards with cover crops to revitalize the soil. The estate is dedicated to eco-friendly farming practices and high-quality wine production.
Not really a big wine drinker but all of the wines I had here I really liked. All smooth not too dry not too sweet, so much so I had to buy 2 bottles! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, kid friendly! And they have chickens and fruit trees in the back you can pick mandarins and lemons 🍋 from:)

Let me tell you....We were invited for a tasting with 2 members. The service was mediocre. More personal banter than about the wines. The prices for non-members and members were pretty clear on the menu. 3 of us were going to sign up. But.. when it came to pay. They overcharged everyone by 24.00. The 40.00 per. person for none members turned into 54. 00 and then 10.00 more for (tax or gratuity) not sure because nothing was clear. 64.00 total. The members were so embarrassed and will be canceling. I will never recommend or return. Good luck.

Had a delightful free tasting here as a member of Coopershawk. Beautiful Vinyard and outdoor tasting area. Laura was our tasting expert. She was delightful and knowledgeable. Bought some chocolates for pairing and a candle poured in a recycled wine bottle. The Pino and Cabernet were pretty good and I don't normally like dry wines. Great experience.

This is a beautiful winery on Olivet Road... worth the drive. The inside and the outside are beautifully kept. The staff are knowledgeable and kind. There's a lot of special areas on the property from the front lounge to arbor to pool in the back and a nice tasting room. A great place for a wedding or special event.

We had the best wine tasting ever at DeLoach Vineyards all because of our amazing host Laura! We joined the wine club at DeLoach thanks to her, and got some amazing recommendations on wine to buy, she made us a BEAUTIFUL charcuterie board and was very inviting and sweet! We will be back for more Laura ❤️❤️❤️

The Joe Rodota Trail is a delightful 8.5-mile off-road path that seamlessly connects downtown Santa Rosa to Sebastopol, making it a favorite among commuters and outdoor enthusiasts alike. This flat and easy trail runs parallel to Highway 12, offering stunning views of scenic farmland, rugged mountains, and the beautiful Laguna de Santa Rosa wetland preserve. It's an ideal spot for cyclists, runners, and walkers who want to enjoy nature while getting some exercise.
There used to be a railroad line that ran from Sebastopol to Santa Rosa. Parts of the paved Joe Rodota trail follow the the same route as this piece of history. Behind the Gravenstein Station Market Place, a trail takes you past the Elderberry Commons to the part of the Joe Rodota trail that is my starting point. Going left towards Santa Rosa, my walk generally takes me about a mile into the trail before I turn back. The trail will take you all the way to Santa Rosa.Trees line the route as well as agricultural ranches. It is very low impact with a very calming atmosphere. Bicycles are very popular for people of all ages. It's also a great place to walk your dog. I see a lot of people from more mature generations enjoying this trail. The spring offers bursts of color from wildflowers. I have observed catapillars dropping from the trees here once in a magnificent display of nature. Off and on homeless encampments have been an issue on the Santa Rosa end of the trail, but this part of the trail has retained its natural beauty and is safe and ready to be enjoyed.
Alan H — Google review
Lots of unhoused people on this trail, unfortunately, making it feel unsafe for this solo female runner. The worst areas are as you come closer to Santa Rosa and on the bridge where the Joe Rodota trail connects to the Santa Rosa Creek trail. On a single 7am run, I saw three police cars, one arrest in progress, a separate police report being taken, people graffitiing the path, pot smoking, presumably other drug use, drinking, dancing to amplified music, and easily a dozen or more people packing up their overnight tents. The trail itself is nice in many places, although again for safety reasons I wasn’t fond of the fencing on either side in the Santa Rosa areas—no means of escape if something were to happen. The best areas and safest were the 2-3 miles closest to the Sebastopol trailhead. I would not advise runners use this trail, nor would I say it’s good for women or families.
Jessica E — Google review
Great trail to ride your bike, walk, and run. Trial connects to the Santa Rosa trial rode my bike from downtown Santa Rosa to the Barlow in Sebastopol. Always multiple people out. There are some unique people on the trail everyone is polite and stay to themselves. No lights on the path or public restrooms.
Lana R — Google review
The paved trail is paved and in decent repair, and might be reasonable as a commuting path. But after riding 4 miles of it from central Santa Rosa, we experienced lots of unappealing homeless tents, garbage, and loud road noise from the highway. We gave up and returned via Sebastopol Rd, which was, frankly, more pleasant.
Michael L — Google review
It's a nice trail for a few miles from the Sebastopol side. After Fulton road it becomes all garbage and a homeless folks base with all consequences. It's not safe from multiple prospectives. I would say avoid the other half of the trail, from Santa Rosa side.
Aqua F — Google review
We ride this trail to Sebastopol a couple times a week. It's kept clean and maintained well. It's also a beautiful trail with benches along the way to stop and enjoy a snack or have a quiet conversation. It can get busy so be sure to be safe on the trail.
David W — Google review
Great west county trail spans from Santa Rosa to Forestville. Hike, run, bike miles of trail.

A lovely lengthy trail starting in downtown Santa Rosa all the way to Sebastopol. Granted there are a few sketchy stretches due to the homeless population. But by in large a very nice walk or bike ride.

My friends and I did the " All things Italian" tasting experience, and it was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had at a winery! So fantastic. Brilliant food and wine pairings, and absolutely beautiful wines. The staff are also just amazing!

Pairing tastings at Muscardini, especially with Karen, who is a master of food and wine pairings, are tremendous. This was probably our 6th pairing including 3 virtual ones from home. Our friends who joined us, both on the virtual ones in Ohio, and here, love them as well. We have always been amazed at how certain tastes really bring out the wine flavors.

Went for a wine tasting earlier this year and had a fantastic time here. The wine samples were good, the atmosphere was really chill, and there was no pressure to buy anything. We were very impressed by the wines, the service and wealth of knowledge Nick and Nicole shared. Morton's Warm Springs is a picturesque complex nestled in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country, offering a diverse geothermal experience. The springs feature two large mineral pools and a baby pool, all fed by nearby geothermal springs, ensuring a warm and cozy atmosphere without the use of harsh chemicals. Surrounded by beautiful trees and mountains, visitors can enjoy the idyllic setting while being greeted by chirping birds, butterflies, and dragonflies.
This was our first time going to Morton's Warm Springs and we fell in love when we pulled in. This is a wonderful hidden gem in Sonoma County. Trust me, if you or the kids like swimming this is the place to go! The price is fair for entry. It has everything for the family. 3 geothermal mineral pools (1 is a kiddo pool) and showers. A lot of picnic spots and space. It has plenty of BBQ areas. Just bring your own supplies and get there early to get the spot you want. It also has the sonoma creek running through the land so you can take a dip in the creek. Its pet friendly! Plus they have a fabulous cafe that you need to try! The staff is very nice and friendly! The whole atmosphere is very chill and relaxed. Thank you for the wonderful day Morton's Warm Springs and staff! We will be coming back!

EVENT PLANNERS BEWARE Beware if you are an event planner. Our nonprofit for TERMINAL BREAST CANCER PATIENTS had a signed contract and paid in advance for 37 patients to visit Morton's as the wellness portion of our event UNCORKED. We advertised them on our signage which ultimately gave free advertising. We unfortunately had some online haters who were trying to drum up drama. We contacted Morton's to give them a heads up, as I did with all our venues, and they CANCELLED OUR CONTRACT TWO DAYS BEFORE OUR EVENT. This was a huge hiccup in our event which ultimately costed us over $2,000. They are not good people, and I would not go there. They had ZERO empathy for letting down our group. They were the only one of our ten venues who treated us poorly. Shameful

Went here with my granddaughters who are 5 and 3. The water was warm and three pools to choose from. An adult pool that is kid free from 10-12, and shallow pool and a baby splash pad. Tickets were reserved online and it is a bit of a walk from the parking lot. The day I went there were tree trimmers blocking most of the one way bridge. There is a dressing room with showers that you need to use before getting in the water. A concession stand is available with breakfast treats and lunch items that were pretty good. Water to refill your water bottles is readily available for free. There are not enough lounge chairs and umbrellas and it is entertaining to watch folks fight over them throughout the day. Overall an enjoyable place and I will be back.

I just visited for the first time and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this fantastic business. Clean, welcoming, and FUN. Our very large group included two young children, two seniors, a dog, swimmers and non-swimmers alike and we all had a great time at the grounds. Food- amazing, yummy organic and fresh local options. We had snacks and really enjoyed the lemonade and ice creams. We will plan to have our meal on site next time. Bathrooms- clean, well-stocked and surpassed my expectations from reading other google reviews. I have travelled the globe and these bathrooms are well above average (I did not find anything alarming about them at all), especially considering the location of the grounds to begin with. Their location on the grounds is very convenient as well. Nicer bathrooms would require a feat of engineering and also luxury resort ticket prices, so I am more than pleased with the current situation. Grounds- heavenly location, very clean, and organized. The bbq areas, picnic tables, lawn and corn hole are all near the gated pool area so our family felt near each other while doing separate activities. Having a bright green lawn to run on during the summer was so fun for us. The pools were a dream come true and felt like swimming in a warm bath. It was a hot sunny day and very refreshing to take a dip in these pools. Parking was organized and free on site. Staff- the cherry on top! I am very appreciative of their unmatched customer service here. I had a rapidly developing situation with my family and the staff assisted me with solutions that worked for everyone involved. I felt seen, trusted and cared for - all during my first visit ever. Front line staff is well trained to report up to managers if needed. Communication works well throughout this staff and to customers- management was able to clearly let me know what their policies are and ways they could help. Lifeguards were very attentive, patient and informative and gave many gentle reminders ahead of closing time (very helpful with the kiddos!) I saw staff picking up trash and genuinely enjoying working together. Every staff member had a position that they were attentive to and were executing it well and with a smile. It was an amazing vibe that they created for us. I can say their team work and customer service is top tier and rare to find these days. Overall - my large multigenerational group had an amazing time. Staff were friendly and kind. Snacks were delicious. Pools were perfect.

This place was so relaxing! We went at 10am when they opened, the pool was warm and the mineral water feels soft on your skin. The whole area is super clean and there was a ton of parking. They also have a field with BBQ pits and picnic tables for gatherings. We wanted to try the food from their cafe and we both got the hot dog which was massive, very tasty with house made relish and a bun from a local bakery. Staff is friendly, lifeguard was attentive, and even though it got quite busy, the whole place was fun and peaceful. Highly recommend going for even just an hour in the mineral water, very soothing.
Rebecca S — Google review
Came here for a birthday party. There were several other families having picnics. The picnic tables had a lot of bees so we definitely needed the covers for the food. The showers were warm, definitely glad we had flip flops. The pools were nice with 3 different sections of varying depths. The creek was also a great shaded reprieve.
E L — Google review
Retro vibes, family friendly, great food onsite, (and espresso!), not too crowded. A hidden gem! A great lawn for picnicking under a nearby hilly backdrop…serene…
Andre K — Google review
Morton Warm Springs is like stepping into paradise. There are two large pools (and a baby pool) fed by a nearby geothermal springs so they are very warm - no shivering kids over here! It feels so nice and cozy, and I love that there are no yucky pool chemicals! The setting is idyllic - full of beautiful trees and mountains with cute chirping birds, and there are literally beautiful butterflies and dragonflies flying around, popping by to say hello! Don’t bother bringing snacks or a picnic because they’ve got you covered! The cafe selections are very intentional and you can tell they have taken a lot of care to choose the best local suppliers. They have delicious organic food that’s both friendly for kids (think gourmet hot dogs or grilled cheese) and healthy options for adults (beautiful seasonal salads). There are ice cream options galore, including soft serve made with Strauss. But my favorite part is cooling down with a giant mason jar of homemade lemonade! Morton’s is the best pool my family has ever visited and a true Sonoma gem. It’s obvious that the people working there care deeply for creating a 5 star pool experience for their community! Thank you Morton’s for all you do!

Battaglini Estate Winery is located in the heart of Zinfandel territory and produces deeply fruited wines. The winery's small, homespun tasting room is one of a kind.
If you would like a genuine family owned winery experience, Battaglini is your place. Our favorite tasting experience! Dino Battaglini hosted us unannounced. He gave us the full tour and experience as if we were family friends from out of town. More than a 2 hour visit and we enjoyed every minute. Wonderful wines and fun education on the land, processes, serving, trivia and history of the family vineyard. Down to earth, friendly and homey. Highly recommended.

This is a the perfect place for everyone who’s burned out by pretentious and not truly a family place but says they are. 100+ yr old vines. “Mom” greeted us on arrival. The low key feel might take you back at first but the place is super friendly and the wine is unique. Hanging at a picnic table talking about family and wine is why you should stop. It’s different, truly independent, a family business looking to the next gen. Give it a go if you want to see a true family winery. And of course, tasty wine, some older vintage. Maybe even “better than sex” (you’ll have to ask yourself).
Herb M — Google review
Dino was very insightful and pleasant to host us. He took us around the property and even gave us a few samples of his private stash that hasn’t even released yet. We are contemplating coming back on October for their grape stomping competition. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a personal touch on a truly family run winery.

This is the place where I question writing a review out of fear that it will become too popular by time we have a chance to come back. Battaglini Winery will hopefully encourage your sense of adventure as you reconsider the wine tasting atmosphere away from crisp hedges in perfect parallel across a crushed conch shell driveway and pristine painted pergolas. Please join Dino and his family in the conversation about their family heritage. My wife and I have not stopped smiling since we left. Allow Dino to embrace you as his guest. And rest well knowing that Dino and his family are going to do this again tomorrow. I only wish that we could join him (and you) again then. Support families. Drink and buy some Battaglini wine to share with your family. Cheers!

I love this old world set up that Joe has. The wines are outstanding and you can still get some old vintages. Zinfadels and chardonnays are especially good. Joe, Lucia, and Lidia treat you like you are part of the family from the old country. Besides drinking great wine, you are in great company.

Mother's day, gates locked, should have called ahead. Ohh well, understandable though for a small family shop. We sent an email asking about retail spots and we got a quick reply with both retail info and a note that the gates would be unlocked that afternoon if we wanted. Fast forward 4 hours and Mr. Battaglini is shaking our hands and unlocking the shed; he'd come back a bit early from a family gathering for us! Easily my favorite winery in CA because the wine is simply that good. Little highlights like today just make it that much better.

Bees N Blooms – A Tranquil Garden Retreat in Sonoma County Nestled in the heart of Sonoma County, Bees N Blooms is a charming private garden best known for its lush lavender fields and serene natural beauty. Visiting on a Thursday morning, I was greeted by warm sunshine and the gentle scent of blooming flowers—a perfect taste of summer. Although I arrived toward the end of July, which is past the peak bloom season, there was still enough color and fragrance lingering in the air to make the visit enjoyable. Most of the lavender had already faded, but the remaining blossoms and well-tended garden still offered peaceful views, especially under the bright morning light. The lack of crowds on a weekday made for a quiet, relaxed atmosphere—ideal for a meditative stroll or slow-paced exploration. That said, if you’re hoping for vibrant fields of lavender and stunning photo opportunities, it’s best to plan your visit during early to mid-summer, when the lavender is in full bloom. That’s when the garden truly comes alive in shades of purple, drawing photographers and flower lovers alike. Parking is limited, so visiting earlier in the day is advised, especially on weekends or during peak bloom. --- Final Thoughts Bees N Blooms offers a peaceful, seasonal escape just minutes from Santa Rosa. While timing is everything to catch the full glory of the lavender fields, even a late-summer visit holds a quiet charm. It’s a wonderful spot to unwind, reconnect with nature, and soak in the soft beauty of Sonoma’s countryside. 🌸 Best for flower enthusiasts, nature photographers, and anyone seeking a serene garden walk in the wine country.

A very beautiful lavender farm in Petaluma, just a short drive from Santa Rosa. We visited toward the end of the season, so the lavender had just finished its peak bloom and was a little wet, but still lovely alongside many other flowers. The farm also had ducks, geese, and chickens roaming around, which was fun to watch. The owner, Susan was especially kind, sharing helpful tips on lavender and other plants. I’m sure it would be even more stunning during peak bloom, and I hope to return in season.

Amusement park ride
Step right up and take a whirl on the Carousel Ride, featuring 30 horses, two chariots, and a dazzling display of over a thousand lights. Children under 42 inches tall must be accompanied by an adult, who can stand next to them for free. The ride offers a smooth operation and is of good length, providing an enjoyable experience for both kids and adults. While renovations are underway, the ride remains closed for now.
The ride operates smoothly, the ride is a good length, and the horses actually make you feel like it's a ride, not just a circle. An adult can ride with a small enough child (mandatory if they're too small) for one ticket. Very enjoyable.

Visitors reminisce about its long-standing presence in Santa Rosa while others praise it as an affordable and enjoyable experience. Cyclisk is a captivating 65-foot tower constructed in 2010 using 340 recycled bike gears, hoops, rims, and frames. This whimsical structure was designed and built by Mark Grieve and Ilana Spector at a cost of approximately $37,000. Interestingly, it was funded by Nissan and now stands amidst car dealerships. The towering artwork showcases an innovative use of recycled materials to create a unique landmark.
It's kind of ironic that this sits on a car lot.

If you’re in the neighborhood have a look, otherwise, it doesn’t worth to drive long way. You can see it in the pix.
Ori B — Google review
Middle of nowhere, not worth going out of your way to see. However, if you're in the market for a new Kia and find yourself at Jim Bone Kia looking at inventory, then maybe you could take a glance out the window at this thing and that wouldn't be a complete waste of time.

Live music venue
Vintage Space is a throwback music lounge that offers a variety of entertainment options such as live music, stand-up comedy, dancing, DJ sets, karaoke, and trivia nights. The venue was originally established in 1957 during the space race era and aims to blend the nostalgia of the past with futuristic elements. It's known for its vibrant atmosphere, diverse musical performances, and creative cocktails. Visitors can also enjoy dining at Lazeaway before heading to Vintage Space for a complete evening experience.
Came here for one of their DJ nights and it was a blast. They often have free events and ticketed ones, so there's something for everyone. Friendly staff and the bartender made me a delicious mocktail!
James T — Google review
The venue allows 180 people but sold over 250 tickets for the event I tried to attend. If you show up after opening I think it's fair to say the fire marshal will be interested in the over capacity situation and you will be in line beyond the intermission. I'm posting this to say that the venue is greedy and you should plan accordingly. Or not give them business at all. Shame on the venue for allowing sales beyond capacity. Much respect to the contractors the hotel hires to deal with the angry customers in line since they have no control over the situation the hotel made and are simply trying to make sure humans are safe.

Vang X — Google review
I recently attended the fair, and unfortunately, my experience was far from enjoyable. While the environment was pleasant, the issues with the staff and their policies regarding food allergies were deeply disappointing. Firstly, as someone with multiple food allergies, I can't eat most of the food typically available at such events. To ensure I had something safe to eat, I brought my own food. However, the security staff stopped me at the entrance. Despite explaining my situation and speaking with the person in charge, I was told, "Well, you still shouldn't be bringing in food...you can either throw it away or leave." This response was both rude and unprofessional. I had no choice but to throw my food away and stay only for a few hours since my family was already inside. Later, my little brother, who is eight years old, wanted to buy a "Hawaiian Bowl." When he asked the cashier which option was better, she rudely replied, "Are you stupid? They are the same thing." Her unkind remark made my brother cry, and we decided to leave shortly after. Overall, this fair is not food allergy-friendly, and the staff desperately needs training on how to treat guests with respect. Our experience was awful, and we left feeling very disheartened. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously to improve for future visitors.

31Pump It Up Concord Kids Birthdays and More

4.3

I recommend Pump It Up. The whole room is private, cleaned after every party, and has great AC. This is our second year throwing my son’s birthday party there! The staff is so helpful and watchful of the kids, so you don’t need to worry about keeping a close eye on your little ones. The private party is excellent because we know that the families we invited play well with our son and are kind-natured. I will admit that it is expensive, but you’re paying for the experience for all the guests too! No drama.
Christine R — Google review
I attended a kids birthday at Pump It Up. It was great to have the whole jumping place reserved for just our party. It gave my child the sense of safety to run around and have fun. It was also much quieter than a place like Rock n Jump where there are hundreds of kids running around. The party we attended had the lights off glow in the dark option. That was fun. The food and cake room was on the small size and incredibly loud when full of people, as a note for those who might find loud spaces overwhelming. Great birthday option especially for 5-7 year olds. The slides and activities were big enough that even the older siblings had fun things to do.
Janai W — Google review
Pump It Concord was absolutely amazing! We celebrated our 10 year old’s Birthday there and they exceeded all our expectations! Even the parents had fun with all the extra activities they have in the room. From start to finish every was a breeze! The entire team at Pump It Concord truly made our party hassle-free. All we had to do was enjoy ourselves, and they took care of the rest. From set up to clean up! We literally didn’t have to lift a finger. They made the birthday boy feel so special as well and let me be the star of the show. All kids had an absolute blast, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Pump It Concord is Highly recommended! The staff and went above and beyond to ensure our party was a success.
Angelina V — Google review
Incredibly nice and welcoming woman at the front desk that accepted our groupon without hesitation, this was a great place to take three young toddlers who were out of school early two free jump session and we were there for a good hour and a half. Very clean. Lots of reasonably priced snacks and a bathroom!
Vanessa C — Google review
We just got home from a Pump It Up "glow mania" free jump on a Monday afternoon. It wasn't crowded since its mostly by reservation but it seemed that you could walk in too of there's any openings.Free jump is 2 hours for $15 & it was well worth it! My son had a blast & wants to go back again real soon! They emphasize safety & then let the kiddos loose to run, bounce & play. They also offer birthday packages & have coupons on their website. I recommend making a reservation though, they only let a certain number of kids in for safety reasons & parking but it's cool so time slots fill up fast!
Meghan M — Google review
Everything was set up perfect for my son’s 7th birthday!! Everyone was so nice, detail oriented and very patient with 15 kids and their parents!!! Everyone enjoyed themselves!! Friendly reminder to bring quarters for the air hockey!!
Catherine A — Google review
It’s good place for kids to play. But, is good for kids who is 5 years or older. My older son is 7 years old and play very well. But, my younger son is 4.5 years. He could not play. Because it’s too high for him and also, it’s too dark for him. It’s clean with very good employees. They taking care of kids and watching kids to make sure everyone is safe.
Farzin L — Google review
Our son and his friends had an absolute blast jumping and it was a solid amount of time in the bounce houses. The party room was all decked out with the decorations we brought in and looked great! I loved how I literally didn’t have to worry about anything and they took care of it all! They did fantastic! 10/10 would recommend, definitely going to do it again! Only thing I wish we had brought a speaker to play some music in the party room 🎶

Jenna B — Google review
Great park! Good for my 2.5year old. There is a smaller toddler playground and a larger playground. It can get hot there. There is just 1 baby swing and 1 regular swing...so, limited swings. Lot's of grass to run around and wall ball or basketball courts. It seems very safe, tucked away and fun!
Stephanie R — Google review
Nice small neighborhood park and it even had toys from neighborhood kids that donated toys for other kids to play with
Alan B — Google review
This park has a fairly large place structure with multiple slides on it. There is also a swing set for both babies and big kids. Across the field there is a smaller place structure inside what can be an enclosed area which is nice if you have a little. There is also a field for kicking a soccer ball around on, although it is not a full size soccer field. The main issue I had with it was that there was no shade at all. We stopped and wanted to play but could not be there for more than 5 minutes during the summer in the afternoon. If you want to make your kids suffer in the sun there is a bench for you to sit on in the shade, but no place for the kids to play.
