Sushi restaurant
O-Ku is a trendy Japanese eatery and lounge located in downtown Charleston, known for its fresh makimono and tartares. On weekends, it offers late-night ramen with traditional beef or veggie broth options topped with pork or a soft-boiled egg, bok choy, Brussel sprouts, and mung beans. The restaurant's success in Charleston has led to its expansion into seven additional cities.
I used to go here all the time with my family and when my friend’s birthday rolled around we decided to take her here. Let me tell you… they did not disappoint! The bao buns were delicious and the chicken dish we got was also so good! The sushi was just as I remembered it and I think they are really well priced for their location and quality of food!

Overall this was a great experience. We went during Restaurant Week and I am glad we did because for $55 it was a solid experience with good food. The pork dumplings were good but not amazing, the duck bao buns were tasty and the Godzilla roll was delicious. The pineapple cheesecake was the only dish that was lacking. Japanese desserts are not sweet by nature but this was not sweet and lacked flavor. We suggested adding grilled pineapple (in lieu of the gelatin) which would make the dessert very tasty. One of the owners, Kimball, stopped by a few times to make sure we were enjoying our experience and the personal touch was well appreciated. We look forward to trying the location in DC.

I wasn't expecting anything special on my visit to Charleston. My friends wanting Sushi there made me question their sanity. Boy was I surprised. The Sushi was better than what I experienced in NY, Chicago, Honolulu, São Paulo... The Buns were also some of the best I've had anywhere. If you're in town, this is a DEFINITE win for you. My mouth is watering thinking about my meal. (Definitely try the lemon Salmon roll ... OMG!) The staff was great, the ambiance of the place is a cozy feel in a big space. Very sexy and modern. Just go! Trust me you'll love it.

I have nothing but good things to say about the O-Ku Charleston location! We started off with Espresso Martinis, Truffle Edamame, Annie’s Dumplings-just incredible. The Kaarage Chicken and Snow crab roll were delicious as well. Would recommend to anyone looking to get their Japanese-restaurant fix in Charleston.
Kelsey C — Google review
The food was so amazing and yummy. I had the sushi and it’s was so good. The drinks are great - I love their sugar and spice cocktail. The ambiance and low lighting is also so cute for a date night.

Loved everything about our experience. Every bite was heaven! I don't even like seafood and I loved all the sushi I tried.
Lily W — Google review
Sushi was delicious and fairly priced. It was not very cold though. I’m only giving 4/5 because our server wasn’t the greatest, never refilled our water, or checked in on us after giving us our food. Additionally it took 20 minutes to get our check when the place was dead.
A D — Google review
The Bao Buns was awesome! Mixed drink was good but so much going on in it, kept clogging the straw. Sushi is def good quality. The fried rice wasn't good IMO But others at our table liked it. Kaarage chicken was good. I wouldn't come back here though on my next visit. I saw Teriyaki chicken in other reviews. They did not have it on the menu this evening.

SHIKI is a charming and unassuming restaurant located in downtown Charleston, offering a cozy and recently renovated dining space. Since its establishment in 2001 by owner Hae Gon David Park, who brings years of experience from renowned sushi restaurants in New York City, SHIKI has been serving top-quality sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri. The restaurant takes pride in sourcing the freshest fish and crafting delectable rolls with attention to detail.
The owner, James Park is called the Sushi Maestro for a reason. The best apps hands down are the shumai & gyoza (hand made daily). A few of my other fav items include: A5 wagyu hand roll, crispy tuna & super crunch. My boyfriend and I go for date night whenever we get the chance and always bring our friends. Every item on the menu is fresh and sauces are homemade! Perfect cozy atmosphere, best vibes to bring a group too. Service is always above and beyond. We love our Shiki fam 🫶🏼

I’ve heard many people say this is the best sushi in Charleston, so I was thrilled to finally get a reservation and see what it was all about. The atmosphere was lovely, and I enjoyed how intimate and welcoming the restaurant felt. We started with the Crispy Tuna Oshizushi and it was incredible and full of flavor. (By far my favorite item we ordered). It was such a great start that we were even more excited for the three sushi rolls we ordered next. We chose the Spider Roll, Shiki SC, and the Spicy Yellowtail. The sushi was reasonably priced and had great presentation. However, in terms of flavor, the Shiki Roll stood out the most. While the others were decent, they were more subtle in taste than I had expected. Our server was quick and attentive. I'd recommend!

Great restaurant. Was in town for a wedding and two of us popped in without a reservation for a Saturday lunch. Seated right away. Service was quick and our waiter very knowledgeable. Food was top notch amazing! Would highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

We had an excellent meal consisting of beef Pho and a Steak Hibachi dinner. The food was delicious and hot upon arrival. The happy hour drinks were amazing. Our waitress Susan was phenomenal. She had a very infectious personality that made for a very pleasant evening out. She was attentive without being overbearing. She did an outstanding job. Great experience. We will be back!

Wonderful place! Quick efficient service, super friendly and nice. Apps and sushi all came out rather quickly, I was surprised. Dumplings were perfect! So much flavor and the sauces were spot on. Ordered 4 rolls… all good. Fav was the Blue Crab roll.
Gabrielle O — Google review
We came here for sushi and went with one of their selections, which was a great way to sample a variety without overthinking the order. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and really tasty. It’s definitely cheaper to go for lunch, so that’s the best time to come if you want a deal. They usually require reservations, but it’s worth it. The only thing I wish is that the selection offered more than just different variations of salmon. Still, the quality of the fish and the overall experience make this a solid spot for sushi.
Ras — Google review
Was extremely disappointed with the food and service. We’ve eaten here once before and had a great experience, so this was surprising. The sushi tasted good, but the rolls were extremely loose like the rice barely held together, pieces fell apart when picked up, and a lot of the fish slipped out of the rolls. We basically had to end up eating most of it with our hands. We also waited over 30 minutes to be seated, and only after sitting were we told we had 40 minutes to finish our meal. That made the whole experience feel rushed. We let our server know, and she acknowledged it wasn’t up to their standard, but didn’t offer anything to fix it. This place is clearly capable of much better, but tonight’s execution and service didn’t match their reputation. It really felt rushed and that they didn’t care, unfortunately will not be coming back.
Sarah H — Google review
It's always a great experience here. The sushi, sashimi, and nigiri are always so fresh and so delicious. We come to Charleston a minimum of 3 times a year, and Shiki is always in our culinary lineup.

Korean restaurant
Sushi restaurant
Kanpai Japanese Restaurant, located in Mount Pleasant, is a cozy eatery known for its creative sushi and Japanese & Korean dishes. Chef-owner Sean Park offers specialty rolls and omakase, as well as a selection of Korean dishes like bibimbap. The restaurant is set to be closed all November for visiting Korea but will reopen on December 3rd. It's a local favorite for an unforgettable Omakase experience with fresh and delicious menu offerings.
Been coming to Sean’s for probably 6 years now, by far my favorite sushi in Charleston! The sashimi and carpaccio is so so fresh and they use such quality ingredients. Just an incredible husband and wife team!

Let me start by saying that I work from home and I'm on my computer for 50+ hours a week. I was on my own on a Friday night so I decided to go to my favorite takeout place and dine in for the first time. I was handed a menu but told to order on the QR code. I got overwhelmed quickly. I wanted a technology-free evening which is why I took myself out tonight. I had to keep on cross-referencing the phone menu with the paper menu. And even then there were so many discrepancies between the two that I was getting really frustrated. Not to mention that they use weird shorthand on the QR menu that I didn't understand, and it was also poorly organized. I then asked if I could order with the waitress. I didn't think this would be a big deal because I heard several regulars come in and order verbally as soon as they walked in. The lady politely took my order. The food was really good and fresh. The restaurant became busy while I was dining. So I decided not to bother the waitress with paying so I went back to the QR code to see if the bill was attached to my table number and my code. It was. My entire bill was there so I thought " cool. I'll just pay on my phone!" Instead of just leaving I decided to make sure they received the payment to be polite and so they didn't think I was doing a dine and dash. The nice lady couldn't figure it out. So she got the angry sushi chef I think owner guy to look. He made me feel super bad and guilty about paying on my phone. I even showed him that everything I had ordered populated on the receipt on my phone and my confirmation. He told me to never do this again. And I asked"do what?" He said order with the waitress and then try to pay on your phone. I told him I'm sorry I ordered with the waitress but I was finding the QR system confusing. And he rudely said " well no one else has an issue with it!" And kind of just waved me off to leave. I literally just treated myself to a $120 meal (and mind you that's without alcohol!) to reprimanded like an indignant child . I feel awful and guilty and wish I could dispel my meal I'm so upset.
Jacqui S — Google review
Do NOT come here. The food is incredibly mediocre and the service is horrible (not the woman, she is sweet) but Chef sucks. This restaurant does not come to take your order, insists you do it online (even when you're the only patrons there), and then ADDS 20+ to their own tip? My bill was $61 dollars and my bank statement now reads $91, and I definitely would not have tipped $30 considering their sushi was awful and horribly portioned. Save your money and your time.
Kasey — Google review
My partner and I were in town for a couple weeks for her work, and this was easily our favorite restaurant that we found during the stay. (It was so nice that we went twice!) Overall, some of the best sushi I’ve had in awhile—and we were able to get uni on one night!—but the appetizers were great as well. Be advised it’s BYOB. We’ll definitely be back any time we’re in Charleston!
Anson J — Google review
I really was excited to try this place as I love sushi and the other reviews were very positive, but I was extremely disappointed. At 5:30pm on a Saturday, I was greeted by a very friendly hostess and then sat in the front corner of an entirely empty restaurant and then directed to use the QR code on the table for the remainder of my time there…you read that correct, THERE IS NO SERVICE aside from being seated and brought your food, everything is done on your phone. While the food was fresh, it was very basic (I ordered a sample appetizer as I wanted to give it a try and was given 2 pieces of shrimp, tuna, & salmon), and it took 40 minutes to prepare in an empty restaurant. Then when paying the tab on my phone, it defaults to 25% gratuity, which is absurd for no service and already high prices. If that is how they are going to run their business, they should be take out only.
Heather M — Google review
Went with my wife for our anniversary. The food is expensive compared to other similar places, but it is by far the best Asian food I've had in a long time. You really get what you pay for. It was all delicious, from the appetisers to the entrees. My only regret is not being able to eat more. Again yes it is expensive, but I eagerly await the next time we go.
Riley ( — Google review
The restaurant is small, but the quality of the sushi reigns here. The dining atmosphere is a little like someone's home office on the inside. Aside from that, everything else is on point. They are a BYOB restaurant. The distance from my home, BYOB, and the convenience of a competing restaurant with slightly less quality food will be the things keeping me from making it a normal visit. Otherwise, this place will top my list for sushi.

167 Sushi Bar is a hidden gem located on East Bay Street, Charleston. It's the sister restaurant of 167 Raw, known for its fresh seafood sourced locally and from Nantucket. The restaurant offers a unique dining experience with half sushi bar and half izakaya, showcasing clean and nuanced flavors in their sushi rolls like salmon with lemon confit and green shiso.
This was an amazing experience. We didn’t have reservations so we put our name on the list. The weight was kind of long but well worth it next time we’re definitely doing reservations. The food is epic. The weight staff was impeccable their timing for drinks and appetizers and food they were very helpful. I had Uni before here and hated it. The sushi chef convinced me to get it one more time and I have to say it was quite good and would get it here agin. They have a great selection of sake which pairs beautifully with their sushi. Thanks for a great experience.
Joshua C — Google review
Absolutely fantastic! Best seaweed salad and cucumber salad BUT be aware they are large so better to share. Shrimp tempura roll was great BUT they include the wasabi and soy sauce in the roll. My friend didn’t care for having wasabi included in the roll because she doesn’t like wasabi. On the other hand, I would have preferred it be separate because I like more wasabi than the wasabi included. Thank you for a great meal.
Kelly S — Google review
We came back to this sushi bar after a year, and unfortunately, it’s nowhere near as good as it used to be. The fish quality has noticeably gone down — what used to be buttery and fresh now tastes chewy and lacks that delicate texture you expect from good sushi. On top of that, the service was extremely slow this time around. It took them ages to prepare even simple nigiri, and the restaurant wasn’t that busy. When we finally asked for the check, the server acknowledged it but disappeared for a long time before bringing it — it really felt like they just didn’t care. To make things worse, prices have gone up, yet the experience has gone downhill. Overall, it feels like everything became more expensive while the quality and attention to detail declined. If you’re looking for a sushi place with truly fresh fish and attentive service, I’d recommend going somewhere else.
Pasha P — Google review
Talk about an awesome and wonderful spot for lunch. The sushi is top notch. The quality is amazing. The staff is stellar. And the atmosphere….AWESOMENESS! check it out for yourself… and you can thank me for it later!!

Super cute place, very hard to get in to! We were lucky enough to be hungry at 2pm in the middle of lunch and dinner crowds so there were many seats available at the bar. Usually must have a reservation…. Delicious wagyu, TaTake, and octopus! Juan, Stacy, and Taylor were nice as well!

Where on earth can you find some of the best tuna sushi, toro tuna belly steak, delicious unfiltered saki….Japan obviously, Hawaii obviously, but good ole Charleston has this hidden GEM. Must try!!

Such a cool little spot, and hands down the best sushi I've ever had. Will definitely be back! The service was wonderful as well.

Sushi-Wa is a Japanese-style sushi omakase located in Charleston, SC. Chefs Kazu Murakami and Chris Schoedler offer a 16-course tasting menu focused on raw fish, with the majority being nigiri served over pressed rice. The restaurant, situated at Pacific Box & Crate development, provides two nighttime seatings at its sushi bar from Wednesday to Sunday.
Went in early March - Amazing experience and phenomenal food. The chefs are wonderful, and we can’t wait be back for this experience again. It is pricey, but you can try amazing food that you may not get the chance to anywhere else, especially no where else in town. book today!! You won’t regret it

What a fabulous experience! This was my second time and all the food was out of this world! The beef bite at the end was also unbelievable! I would recommend getting a bottle of sake if you have 2 or 3 people in your group.
Alina B — Google review
By far my favorite omakase sushi place in Charleston! They source ingredients from all over the world with top notch quality. What made my experience even more memorable was the fact that chef Chris was very friendly and chatted with all the guests throughout the dinner (my fellow diners were also fun and lively.) For a 15+1 pieces omakase, it's well worth the price. Minor critique: in the first few pieces, my sushi rice was a little on the mushier side but it improved the second half of the dinner.

This meal was incredible! Everything tasted amazing. I highly recommend adding the A5 Wagu, it was like butter just melted in your mouth. It's pricey but totally worth it. It's 14 pieces a piece made right in front of you. We will definitely be returning.

Best omakase in Charleston and probably South Carolina. On par with places I’ve been in Seattle and NYC. You won’t be disappointed. One of the better sake selections I’ve ever seen and Chris knows his stuff. If you like high quality omakase you need to snag a reservation here.
William C — Google review
Best sushi in Charleston! The chefs were very nice, we enjoyed talking with them and learning about the different fish and where they came from. There was an excellent variety of Sake available by the glass and bottle. Needless to say, they sushi was phenomenal, very fresh and tasted great. Get the Waygu add-on, it's worth it. My GF and I had a great experience and will be returning soon!
Holy D — Google review
One of the best omakase experience in town. A great selection of sakes to pair with the freshest nigiri bites.
Katy C — Google review
$60/person for omakase which is available on fridays -sundays. SO WORTH IT. Its not just good food but also an experience. I genuinely felt like i went on trip! They are really skilled with their preparation skill and each piece was so different and made very well in terms of rice:sushi ratio. We also got the drunken whale sake ($34). The chefs are so humble and have great personalities. Very easy to talk to and you can tell that they love what they do. They prepared our food and explained each dish to us. It was intimate as only 7 people were seated for omakase. Hands down - best sushi in charleston.

Located in a retail area off Ann Knapp Drive in Mt. Pleasant, Locals Sushi & Sports Pub is a laid-back hangout known for its sushi and late-night entertainment. In addition to sushi, they offer tacos such as the Caribbean Jerk Pork Taco and the Hangover Taco with sweet potato chorizo hash. The bar features a diverse cocktail menu, an extensive beer collection, and offers three-dollar wells during happy hour on weekdays from 4 pm to 7:30 pm.
Went here for their 1/2 off sushi rolls while my family was in town. Food was delicious, service was great. Place was a little small but they did a great job with fitting as many tables as possible. We will definitely be back.

If you're in Mt. Pleasant, SC and looking for a place that perfectly blends fresh sushi with a fun, laid-back sports bar atmosphere, Local Sushi and Sports Pub is a must-visit! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel like regulars—genuinely welcoming, upbeat, and attentive throughout the entire visit. Their service was top-tier without being overbearing, striking that perfect balance that makes a meal truly enjoyable. Now let's talk about the sushi—spectacular is an understatement. Every roll was beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and bursting with flavor. You can tell the chefs take pride in both their craft and the quality of their ingredients. The specialty rolls were creative and unique, offering a twist on traditional favorites while still delivering on taste. Whether you're there to catch the game on one of their many TVs or to indulge in high-quality sushi with friends, Local Sushi and Sports Pub delivers. We’ll absolutely be back!

Really good appetizers and sushi. We had chips and queso, edamame and crab wontons. Spicy tuna and salmon rolls for our entree and a burger which was really really good. The beef was wellwell seasoned and the fries are coated to provide extra crunch. Excellent experience.
Travis C — Google review
Locals in Mt. pleasant is the best location of all of them in my opinion. Although they are usually very busy, especially on the half sushi rolls day, they have a lot of indoor and offer outdoor seating. I also like that they have live music playing on Monday nights. We were able to snag a couple seats in the back and avoid the wait. They don’t take reservations so you want to get there at a decent time on Mondays. My husband is gluten-free and he was able to order off of their gluten-free menu, which was really nice. The sushi here is pretty good quality, and we love to come here on Monday nights. We inhaled our sushi rolls so I forgot to take any photos 😆 but I love the spicy salmon, mt. Pleasant roll and eel roll.

Great food and our server was wonderful. It is a bar so the tables are close together and there's a lot of noise, just be mindful of that when choosing this restaurant. All of the sushi was very fresh and flavorful and everyone was happy with their food. 10/10 would return

My rating is solely based on my experience today and not my overall experience with the restaurant. Otherwise I would give it 5⭐️ This is a very interesting place because as a person that loves sushi, the sushi is very great and the bartenders can really make or break your experience at any place. No different here. This was my third time experiencing this place. Second time at this location and on August 4 during happy hour it showed me why I only go to certain places when certain bartenders are working. The bartender this day was completely standoffish. Gave more attention to the hosts than me. He would yell across the bar at the hostess which is always a turnoff to meet at bars. He was very short and clearly didn’t want to converse more than taking my order which is always a deciding factor in frequently a certain bar, especially when certain people are or aren’t working. While the food and drinks have been good on each of my visits, not all bartenders are good at their job and I would never come back to this location when the bartenders that were working today are there.

Great spot with super tasty sushi! The fish is fresh and the roll combinations are fantastic. We tried the September, Fantastic Seaweed, Lobster, and Yellowtail with scallion rolls — absolutely delicious!

Came in yesterday around lunch with family and our server, Jester, was amazing — super patient, kind, and very accommodating. Five stars to him! The food was okay. I ordered from the lunch menu and got the eel and avocado roll, which was mostly avocado with barely any eel. Also tried the spicy tuna roll, but the minced tuna made it too mushy for my taste — would’ve preferred a whole fillet. Overall, I had a good experience thanks to the service, but they definitely need to improve portion quality/quantity

I’m a honest reviewer…. You can look at my history…. Our waiter Josh was amazing!!! 💕So we lived in Japan for three years sushi is always will be my first love…. So I ordered the love boat for two… (for me only) ps it was not served on a boat as I thought it would be. (The name) so I requested Nigiri and Sashimi mixed , Josh I don’t do spicy stuff period no wasabi please extra ginger. (dietary restrictions) I received all Nigiri and a small a 4 piece tuna roll and it was very riced up compared to the sushi. It def did not fill me up even with my miso soup.. so I ordered the tuna martini appetizer asked specifically not spicy 🥵 and It was … so it was not my best experience will I go back not sure we will see. Management didn’t come over. Poor Josh but hands down he was amazing… Great ambience Great location Great service Military honored I should have gotten the regular rolls loll they looked amazing going to other tables..

This was immediately adjacent to our hotel, so it was a slam dunk. We arrived at 6 pm and were seated immediately. Our drink orders were quickly taken. I ordered the Dragon and the Surf and Turf rolls. My wife ordered the incredible King Hibachi. Everything came out in a reasonable time. The Dragon roll was very good, the Surf and Turf, while different was just okay. My wife's hibachi meal was absolutely great, chicken, steak, shrimp, and lobster! Wow! The staff were all terrific and took very good care of us. No disappointments! Enjoy.

A great sushi place with a nice and cozy atmosphere. The staff is really nice and friendly. The sushi is fresh, with the sashimi melting in your mouth, and it didn’t take too long for the sushi to come. The only thing is that the rolls appeared to be hastily made. Everything else is good.

Bao Buns were great. But I wouldn't order the short rub ones again. Sushi was good. Udon noodles were mids. The chicken in it was good. But the rest wasn't stir fried as much as I hoped

Me and my family were in town on a work trip and last minute found this place and Isabelle our server was worthy of more than 5 stars. Timely and attentive, fun conversater, and the kids loved her! The Joji roll was also incredible will definitely be revisiting Charleston just for this place!

Second time at Fuji before a night out in Downtown Charleston. The sushi was very fresh. I loved the unique textures of the Fantastic Seaweed Roll. Our dragon roll and tuna rolls were as expected with no complaints. The shumai unfortunately lacked a depth of flavor however they were steamed perfectly. Arriving at the tail end of the prime dinner window (8:30pm), our hostess got us to our seat quickly. Our waitress was friendly and had no hiccups with the order. The ambiance of Fuji is always nice and laid back. Low lighting with a nice fusion of a sushi kitchen and a puby/divey warmth sits swirly between the upscale elegance and history of downtown Charleston.

Excellent. Very impressive. Volcano Sushi OMG I visited again today took some pictures after I started I couldn't wait to eat, it's just that good. The best beef fried rice I ever ate I brought back to eat for supper. I really enjoyed this place.

The staff seemed very nice and accommodating however the food was completely distasteful. The hibachi instantly makes you feel nauseous and everything was greasy with the texture completely off. Portion was okay, however you arr done after 2 bites. Hibachi vegetables should not be soupy and chicken was really off. Just look and see...

Had the Kara age and the unagi don . I would prefer to the have the unagi don any day. I also experienced the Jasmine oolong tea in a traditional teapot which was nice. Overall it was a good experience. I didn’t make a reservation despite going on a Saturday so it seems like a good option for those who may want to try something new.

The sushi is some of the best I’ve had in Charleston! So delicious and they have lychee martinis which I can’t seem to find anywhere!

Ordered hibachi filet mignon.. They gave me the cheapest cut of meat possible. Took one bite and it was disgusting. Told the employee that it wasn’t filet mignon that I couldn’t eat it cause it taste so bad. They didn’t ask if I wanted something else or a refund. My wife ordered hibachi chicken. The chicken and rice had zero taste and wasn’t good at all. I guess this is why the place was empty when we were there.

Amazing food, Good price for how yummy it is! Got the Pork Gyoza, Miso Soup, Sesame Chicken, and Fried Icecream and split it with two of my friends, Aji has got to be one of the best Asian restaurants in Charleston!

I cannot say enough good things about Aji Asian Bistro! At first, we thought the wait for our food was long - and maybe it’s a little longer than your standard place - but when we got our food and saw the presentation, we completely understood why! The prices are very competitive and the quality is top-notch. What sets this place apart from others is the care and art with which everything is arranged. Photos do not do justice. All of the staff we interacted with were appreciative, gracious, and very welcoming. In addition, their menu is extensive and has items not every sushi place does - uni (which I love), sweet shrimp with heads (I can’t understand why, but my boyfriend loves the heads the most), and more. All in all- you will not be disappointed. Come for the food, the atmosphere, and the smiles.

Nestled in a charming retail area off Ann Knapp Drive, Locals Sushi & Sports Pub on James Island is a delightful destination for food lovers. While their sushi is the star of the show, don’t miss out on their mouthwatering tacos, especially during Triple T Tuesday when you can enjoy tacos alongside trivia and tequila. The Caribbean Jerk Pork Taco is a must-try, featuring slow-roasted pork paired with fried plantains and slaw topped with pickled onions.
I just ordered to-go because this place is close to my house and I am so mad I didn't try them sooner. The host/staff members at the door were incredibly friendly and so was the bartender, I didn't catch their names but Ashley was the server name on my receipt. I ordered the locals wedge salad and Chicken Hibachi Dinner which came with miso soup. The food was really great. My only issue was that I wanted twice the bacon on the salad but next time I'll order it that way. 10/10 will be back... probably this week.

I love Locals! I try not to repeat restaurants often in Charleston but this is one spot I will always gladly come back to. Even if you aren’t a sushi lover there is something on the menu for everyone. Our server Ashley was attentive and provided great service. I love the energy the restaurant brings for happy hour with a great deal of half off a majority of their sushi rolls. The Tuna Tower was delicious. We also got the Charleston and the Holy City roll. My favorite roll is by far the Holy City Roll! If you are in the mood for some good food check out Locals!

Wow, been living here for a number of years and never knew about this place. Definitely worth going to. This is my new regular spot for sushi! The entire meal was really fresh and tasty. Family/kid friendly. Huge parking lot in the back, gravel. You can park out front or behind other businesses. Wheelchair accessible.

We came in for sushi, but the prices were exorbitant, so we opted for sandwiches and fries. Buttttttttt 🛑 Mondays and Wednesdays are the days to go get sushi at a reasonable price. Now, maybe the full prices are worth it, but I couldn't bring myself to pay $14+ for a roll that was shrimp and crab at the minimum. Will we be back? Absolutely. That being said, I had the Goat Cheese Burger and it was GOOD!!! The goat cheese paired with the Sriracha infused honey and grilled onions was everything I didn't know I needed on a burger! The brioche bun made it that much better. I had fries and they were perfectly crispy and the ketchup must be a special blend too because it was better than normal! Hubby had the Carolina BBQ sandwich with tots. The tots were overcooked in my opinion but he loved them. Is only wish was that the sandwich was bigger, but I did think the Carolina barbecue was good with the slaw on top. They had a spacious outside bar area that was also covered, so it would be a nice place to hang when the temps are bearable. We'll see ya next time... On a Monday or Wednesday, haha.

I went to Locals for the first time this past Saturday afternoon to visit a friend who works there. I found the atmosphere to be quite cordial. I met and spoke with multiple staff members, and they were all friendly and engaging. I also found their menu an interesting surprise. I never expected Hibachi options at what I thought was "just another sports bar" but, in my opinion..and according to a few friends I've spoken to since, their food is great. I think Locals has made itself unique with their menu options, and having friendly staff members is always a plus. I decided on Steak Teriyaki Hibachi, and I enjoyed it very much...to the point that I nearly forgot to snap a pic JIC I ended up submitting a review. 😋 To the owners, I enjoyed it..I'll be back. To the staff,.. keep doing what you're doing. If you're in the area sometime, go check out Locals. 👍

We have eaten at the Mt Pleasant location many, many times but this is the first rime at this location. I got the Locals Tower and it was fantastic. Very consistent with what I’ve had before at the other location. As you be a tell by the picture the presentation was very nice. Our waiter was Jeff and he was very pleasant. Fire Grill is an Asian fusion restaurant located in Charleston, SC. It has a casual atmosphere and offers affordable food that can compete with some of the city's better-known restaurants. The menu features a variety of different Asian dishes, all of which are prepared well and offered at reasonable prices.
Really good, unassuming place for Asian Fusion! Not as popular as some of the other restaurants around, mainly because it is overdue for a re-model. Looking past that, though, the food is amazing! Fresh Spring rolls were HUGE, dumplings had a lot of flavor, and the Red Curry was more than generous with the portion size. Only complaint about the Red Curry is it could have been more spicy. Service was great as well & prices were more than reasonable. Would 100% go back when I’m back in Charleston!

I ate the Pitoon(Braised Duck). It is cooked in yellow curry with vegetables served over white rice. The spice level was mild. The food was delicious and the service was good. This restaurant is very popular. We didn't have to wait for a seat but there was a line as we left during lunch time on Sunday.

Stumbled on this place walking down King St. Very busy on Friday afternoon, one waitress struggling to care for 18 people! She did great and managed to get our drinks and appetizers then food orders quick. Food was tasty, curry authentic. My complaints; seaweed salad came with lettuce, bad combo; bar seating had you looking into plastic containers instead of being able to see the grills; lots of plastic! Disposable plastic is common use, I prefer use dishes for many of the things like sauce and silverware. Poor customer experience on that but food is very good. Portions are perfect size for a man to eat in a sitting. I recommend this place and hope they will clean up the bar seating area.

Walked the entire area near this place and bar /restaurants were a little too classy for me right after work, I stopped in and got a table “luckily” right away. I like to try different types of food and this was perfect. Shrimp was over priced but the rest was spot on. Also 1.99 happy hour beer? All in all great food and worth the visit. Will be back again.

Wasabi Daniel Island is a stylish Japanese establishment that offers inventive sushi rolls, hibachi dishes, and Thai bites in a contemporary setting complete with an outdoor patio. Located at 194 Seven Farms Drive Suite E, this restaurant provides exquisitely balanced Japanese Fusion cuisine that caters to various tastes.
Wasabi Japanese restaurant review I had a solid experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was cool, we were given a private room which was nice because we were a pretty large party but I saw they had a fish tank and cool sushi bar. It wasn’t the warmest or most comfortable but it was solid for what I was looking for. I started with edamame and calamari. The calamari was small and flavorful while the edamame was pretty good compared to other edamame’s I’ve had in the past. The entrees that I ordered were the ny strip habachi and the baked crab speciality roll as well as the crispy crab roll. The ny strip habachi is where my food really shined. The soup and salad were wonderful and the steak was cooked perfectly. It was buttery and melted in my mouth. The fried rice and grilled vegetables added a lot to the meal. The down side was that there wasn’t much to write home about the sushi. I expected more from both sushi rolls and they were sub par. I have had intricate baked rolls before and the flavor felt mild at best. The service was also great, however I felt rushed to leave the restaurant although they weren’t very busy. All in all I had a great experience and the food was good enough to warrant a five star rating.

Rosie B — Google review
Might just be the best sushi in the Charleston area and totally worth the trip to Daniel Island (they also have a MT. Pleasant location). Atmosphere is nice. Service is great. Food and drinks are spectacular. Completely fresh. The sushi roll combinations are interesting. The pad prik was really good... the steak was tender and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. We also ordered the udon noodles which were equally as delicious. I would definitely call before making a trip here just to make sure there isn’t an event happening at the stadium across the street. The restaurant can then be overcrowded and they sometimes offer a limited menu during concert/event nights. Oh and the outdoor music on the patio is a nice bonus!! This is really a great place.
Michele B — Google review
Sitting on the patio in the open air is lovely. Quick, friendly service and the happy hour menu offers lots of delicious choices at a nice happy hour price. I’m Definitely going back for more fresh, tasty sushi.
Nancy G — Google review
I think this place may be good on regular evenings, but we went on an "event" night - a concert at the Capitol One Pavilion. There was a limited, very expensive limited menu, and a too loud musician (he was good, just deafening). It was also very slow, arrived at 5 were almost late to concert. Skip it on event nights.
Thomas D — Google review
I wasn't sure if I was going to go out for dinner tonight or just make something in the house, but in reading the reviews and seeing how authentic the owner was and how she defended her restaurant and staff solidified my decision to pay this restaurant a visit. The service was impeccable. The food came out very quickly and the servers were very attentive. The dinner portion was huge and definitely worth the money. My only complaint is that my food came out warm, not hot, but it had tons of flavor to make up for it.
Glider R — Google review
Stopped in after an appointment in the area. It was our first time so needed to go through the menu a couple of times. Ended up with the green curry and shrimp hibachi. Both were very good and light enough to go out to walk the beach at IOP.
Stuart S — Google review
Ordered takeout and arrived right on time that it said it would be ready. Food was cold by the time I got to my car. Filet and scallop hibachi dinner was small and disappointing. Filet consisted of 5 small bite size pieces that were very dry. I asked for medium rare, but they barely had a hint of pink. Scallops tasted good but there were only 4 normal sized scallops. SC crunch roll just seemed very small for a speciality $14 roll and the crunch had already gotten soft. Definitely not worth the $50 I spent trying to treat myself. (Picture does show roll after two pieces were eaten)

We stopped here tonight after driving into town to visit. We were immediately seated. We ordered the gyoza, crab cheese wonton, angry dragon roll, pad thai with chicken and the shrimp and steak hibachi. First off the appetizers came out immediately after the soup and salad and then they brought the sushi. Then about 3 minutes later our entrees were brought to our table. We weren't able to even finish one appetizer before we had our entrees. Staggering the dishes works wonders so customers dont feel rushed and have plenty of room. The freshness of the sushi and the flavor was off the charts. Some of the best gyoza and the crab cheese wonton was top 5 quality. We've tried alot. The steak and shrimp was good but the rice lacked flavor and was just bland. The yum yum sauce was a bit too sweet but the downer was the pad thai. It didnt have that sweet taste that the usual pad thai has..maybe it was missing palm sugar or tamarind paste. They did give us dessert on the house which seemed to be for each table which was nice.
Greg C — Google review
This is a good place for sushi. The atmosphere inside is quiet and pleasant. The sushi was made around 10-15 mins after ordering, but I think the reason why the service was fast was because there weren’t that many people at the time. The sushi were great, the sashimi was not too fresh, but it was enjoyable. The staff were polite and generous, we got free desert! The desert was small, but still free. I would recommend this place to another person.

Little gem, cozy place with really good and delicious food, everything was freshly made, steaming hot and well presented. Once you step in you will be greeted nicely and seated. The waiting es minimal, I ordered the hibachi steak lunch plate, the miso soup was excellent, the salad with their special sauce was fantastic (I'm not a salad person but this one I really liked it). The hibachi steak with rice was fresh straight from the griddle to my plate, and it was delicious! All it's flavors, the tenderness of the meat, I loved every bite. I usually don't go to Mount Pleasant but next time I know where I want to eat. 5 stars!

Had the best experience at Mesu this past week! This was only my second time going in the 4 years I've lived in Charleston but after this experience, I will definitely be coming back on a more regular basis! Some menu call outs... - Pork Belly Bao Bun - Holy City Tiradito - Patriots Point roll & Dynamite roll - Lychee Martini + Tequila Espresso Martini were both sooo good — best tequila espresso martini I've found in and out of Charleston! - Both of their N/A mocktail options were delicious and high-quality The staff was friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and the playlist was fire. CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK AGAIN SOON!

The bao bun was excellent. However, not a fan of the Lafayette roll. My family got the Baja fish tacos and the dynamite roll. The Baja tacos had little flavor for $7 per taco. The dynamite roll was decent, however it was only 6 sushi rolls for $18. The chairs were dirty. Overall, the server was decent but I'm afraid everything was overrated and overpriced for the quality.

Interesting concept being a Mexican sushi spot! The rolls were good, but overall a bit on the pricey side. We didn’t have a reservation but got seated at the bar which was fine. We were attended to regularly and the food was good and very filling! It’s a fun vibe inside and was perfect for our girls night.

Went with a group of friends for their bday and had an amazing time! All the staff were super welcoming and the food was just as great. We dove in on some sushi platters, a taco tower, and some great margaritas from a mega pitcher. We got there a bit early for the reservation so Abby guided us to the bar and we had a great couple of rounds at the bar (definitely get a shot ski if you want a great time!). Shot out Brady and Warner for a great time at the bar and Lauren provided us great service once we got to the table! They were all super attentive and I couldn’t remember a time when my drink was near empty. Thank y’all for a great and memorable experience!

A very welcoming, fun atmosphere and the food was absolutely excellent!!! We had a couple of tacos to share as well as a few appetizers and everything was amazing- I'm still thinking about the barbacoa braised beef and the buffalo chicken tacos (thank you for the extra blue!)

Atmosphere is cute, but nothing crazy special given all the other vibey places in the area-that being said the food and drinks were 100/10. The drinks were top notch-strong but not too much, nothing was nauseatingly sweet, and great options. The food was AMAZING. We ordered some Mexican style dishes and a few sushi rolls to share just so we could try everything. Everything was fresh, arrived quick, unique flavor profiles. SO SO good-would definitely recommend and will def be back if we have time!

Tsunami Japanese Restaurant is a delightful local chain that offers an enticing menu filled with sushi and Pan-Asian dishes, all served in a chic and contemporary setting. Diners rave about the flavorful fried rice and the standout crab dumplings, which are packed with taste and crunch. While some guests have noted minor service hiccups, particularly with staff unfamiliarity regarding certain fish selections, the overall experience remains positive.
Bartender Ray is very hospitable, and our waitress is very good! She is very careful and cute. This is a very suitable place for family dinner. It has a very warm atmosphere and the best service. Sushi is very delicious. Personally, I prefer sashimi, but my partner really likes crackers, tuna and eel. I will definitely come here again. See you next time.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Instead of just the usual tables, they offer several seating options—a lively sushi bar where you can watch the chefs in action, a regular American-style bar perfect for drinks, and a spacious patio outside that’s great for relaxing. The food is fantastic: fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious. Everything we ordered was prepared with care and tasted amazing. The restaurant is also very clean, which adds to the overall comfort of dining here. What really made the visit special was the staff—they were all incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. Whether you’re coming for sushi, hibachi, or just drinks on the patio, this place is definitely worth a visit!

My husband and I came here and ordered our favorite sushi. This place is always amazing—delicious food, excellent service, and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended! Everyone should come and give it a try.

Absolutely the best sushi place I’ve tried in Charleston so far… Thanks again for Chef’s special order!!! Had a really great time here tonight with my family. Will definitely come back to try again next time if I ever came back to visit. :)

It was my first time here. The waiter was very enthusiastic and the food was served quickly. I ordered a few pieces of sashimi sushi and my favorite salmon roll for lunch. The sushi chef also gave me an extra head. Thank you 🙏🙏,

Yamato is a Japanese steakhouse that offers sushi and hibachi grilled items. They have an amazing chef who is hilarious, and the food was delicious. Their ratings should be higher than they are, and they are definitely worth your time if you're looking for a good meal.
Not sure why the negative reviews-we love this place! Went last night for my dad's 70th birthday and the food was incredible! Our chef, Chandler, was hands down one of the best I've had. The filet was perfection! He was so fun and entertaining for both the adults and the kids. Highly recommend.
Jenny Y — Google review
The server was very accommodating and patient with us. We were a bit of a hassle with not truly knowing our party size and having several kids. She made sure everyone was taken care of the whole time. The food was delicious and just as ordered.
Diamond W — Google review
Superb across the board. Wonderful experience and delicious food. Excellent value. Went here with 2 adults and 2 kids and booked reservations for 4:30 on a Sat because we like to eat early and for my 14yo birthday. Seated promptly and everyone from the hostess to the waitstaff and cook were all very nice. I'm not cheap, but expect value for my money and was not disappointed. Overall Excellent! Everything tastes great and it just keeps coming. We didn't try the sushi, but had 4 hibachi with a mix of NY strip, Filet Mignon, Shrimp, and Teriyaki Chicken. Beef spring rolls as an appetizer were excellent. The mushroom and green onion soup that comes before the dinner was outstanding as was the fresh salad. The follow-on was even better. Showtime... Then the Chef arrives and puts on the cooking show. The slicing, the dicing, the onion volcano and other flames, tossing of shrimp in peoples mouths, the funny jokes, etc... All good fun you never get in other restaurants where the Chef is in backroom and not cooking right in front of you. The appetizer shrimps were so tasty. Then the fried rice and vegetables were awesome and plentiful. My son could not stop eating the fried rice and veggies. Then came the mainstay chicken, steak, and shrimp depending on order and it was all fantastic. Way more food than we could eat and had to get take home containers. We also ordered the fried cheesecake which was excellent. Since it was my son's 14th birthday the staff even surprised him with a drum march and happy birthday song. Loved it! We loved everything and all left with smiles on our faces. Staff of Yamato should note that your efforts bring significant joy to your patrons and it is something to be proud of. Customer service was outstanding. Food taste and good lord the volume was triple outstanding. What an excellent meal and dinner experience. Did I mention that the steak, chicken, and shrimp tasted awesome? So awesome!!!!!!!!! Everything was awesome. Thanks to all the staff there for such a wonderful dinner and entertaining time along with your help celebrating a birthday!

Went here with the family for dinner and we really loved the experience. There was no wait for a table and staff was very attentive. Our chef was great and did an excellent job of entertaining us throughout the meal. He was the GM and made sure we all were enjoying ourselves. Food was very well prepared and was spot-on with temperature, which I always appreciate. Would definitely visit again.
Blair S — Google review
Apparently there's some negative reviews for Yamato online. I don't know why, as you visit this place for a specific experience -- the cook preparing food in front of you with a certain flair, lots of food which is actually tasty and freshly prepared. Overall a experience I'll remember.
Daniel D — Google review
Honestly, the bad reviews almost deterred my party of 6 from coming here, but i am SO glad we decided to come anyways! Mitch was our chef and he was PHENOMENAL! He kept us entertained the whole time and our food was delicious! I don’t know what his salary is but he needs a RAISE (and a big one at that!!). We had such a wonderful experience. Everyone on the staff was so delightful and I would absolutely come back again. If you are undecided about coming to Yamato, I would 100% recommend! Mitch definitely made our night one to remember.

I loved the experience of Yamato. Servers were attentive without being intrusive. The chef was entertaining, and kept the whole company involved in what he was doing. This is a great place for a celebration.

Food was pretty good, but not mind blowing. Compared to other hibachi performances, our chef’s performance was a little underwhelming. Overall, a positive experience.

This japanese restaurant serves up some of the best sushi and bento boxes in the area. The food is always fresh and beautifully presented, and the waitstaff are always polite and happy to help. If you're looking for a Japanese dining experience that's both unique and delicious, be sure to check out Wasabi of Mount Pleasant!
This is the best Japanese restaurant I have ever been to. I will travel from Saint Stephen again and again just to come to this location. Even just to serve me water out of a wine glass made me feel good. The food was prepared with love. Our waiter he was smooth. Nice tone of voice, and called you boss. Thank you for great service. And by the way we were greeted as soon as we entered the establishment. ☺️

I’m not sure if the sushi chef has been changed but the sushi rolls were not the same. Thinner portions of mango or meat inside rolls. Calamari is getting smaller portions each visit. Barely any sauce on top and just dry calamari. Spoke to management many times in past and nothing changes. Very disappointed, been coming over 5 years and never as good as the first time. Also paid cash, why was I charged $1.90 for a credit card payment when I paid cash?! Your mistake you took out of server tips, shame on you. She was amazing and you stole from her.

“Great food and lovely atmosphere! Perfect spot for anyone who enjoys Asian cuisine. However, the sushi is not their strongest point otherwise the rest of the food was delicious food

Great service during happy hour. Very tentative and quality sushi. Plenty of parking and good for kids. Highly recommend. Thank you.
Tiffany P — Google review
I have to edit my review now after all these years. I feel the food quality has really gone down hill and I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s the lack of workers maybe it’s lack of motivation… Anyway I ordered pad Thai for the first time in a little while and they completely changed the recipe. It almost was like eating stir fry noodles instead of pad Thai. There was no more tangy or nutty flavor, it was so greasy I honestly feel sick now. (The grease was literally leaking out!) not only that but I ordered the lunch portion and they charged me for the dinner portion but gave me lunch portion. And it wasn’t even what pad Thai should taste like. What were once my favorite sushi rolls, although are still better than grocery store tier, completely lack their usual flavors and feel bland. The wait times have only increased inside the restaurant, and my order has constantly been wrong especially when ordering online for take out. The prices keep rising and the food just isn’t worth it to me anymore. Now they even charge for using a credit card. It’s sad but I think anyone who reads this review is better off going to the Daniel Island location which has never disappointed me the 15 plus years I’ve gone there.

I was a bit indecisive about this Japanese spot tonight, my go to is Ischiban steakhouse. I wanted to try something different, and I’m pleased with my decision. This was the equivalent of a four star restaurant or five star hotel. High quality, authentic Japanese food. I ordered the hibachi combination; shrimp and scallops and pad Thai with shrimp. Way better than Ischiban. Portion size was great. Perfecto! I will order again very soon. Inshallah

We stopped here on our way to Myrtle Beach on a travel day. We were very happy with the menu, if anything there's too many great sounding things to choose from! The garlic edamame was delicious and different than anything we've had before. Sushi was very good and beautifully presented. We would recommend!

We use to love this spot, we would go every week. But they ended the happy hour, so we have removed it from our circulation for now. Still really like the sushi and fairly priced.

Nestled in the heart of Charleston, Fuji Sushi Bar & Grill is a chic and inviting venue that specializes in authentic Japanese cuisine. This delightful eatery boasts an impressive selection of signature sushi rolls and hibachi entrees, making it a perfect destination for both family dinners and casual outings with friends. The atmosphere is cozy, adorned with charming decorations that create a warm ambiance.
Great experience. They told us it would be a 25 minute wait for a table but it was really less than 10. The spicy pomegranate margarita was fantastic as well as the gyoza. All three of the rolls we got were also delicious and were very large. Decent happy hour specials, even on Friday.

♥️🤩ROCKSTAR SUSHI!! My friend and I ate sushi at the bar. They accommodated me with my NO (minimal) carbs diet, and omitted the rice, at my request. I had a Double Tuna Roll ($16), which is spicy tuna, cucumber and avocado topped with seared tuna. Also, a Tanaka Roll ($15), which is spicy tuna, avocado and cucumber topped with spicy salmon. They were both fantastic! Probably because I didn’t have rice, I was still hungry, so ordered two more. (I realize without the rice, it’s no longer sushi!) My friend got the Steak Tataki Roll, and said it was awesome. (I totally forgot to get pics…sorry!!) FYI- they also can do GF/gluten free. Our server was super, and the ambiance was perfect (not too loud). It was crowded, especially for a Wednesday night, but everyone was having fun. Parking is abundant, but was crowded at six o’clock. We were so pleased with our whole experience, and will definitely be going back…(Why is it that the best sushi restaurants seem to mostly be in strip-malls?!)👍 *UPDATE: I got the very same thing again for takeout last night. It was even better this time, especially with the fire sauce that comes with the double tuna. The girls at the takeout counter were all super cool and fun too. Love Fuji! 💜

This place is seriously a gem. The moment you walk in, you can tell they’ve put a lot of thought into everything—from the layout of the restaurant to the vibe and overall atmosphere. It feels modern but still super cozy, with just the right mix of energy and relaxation, whether you're at the sushi bar or one of the hibachi tables. The food? Amazing. Super fresh sushi, creative rolls, and the hibachi is a whole experience on its own—fun, flavorful, and cooked to perfection right in front of you. You can tell the chefs know what they’re doing and actually care about every dish that goes out. What really stands out, though, is the attention to detail. The menu is clean and easy to navigate, the plating is beautiful, and even the little things—like how the tables are set up or how friendly and on-point the staff is—just make the whole experience better. Definitely one of those places you end up wanting to come back to, whether it’s for a casual night out or something a little more special. Highly recommend.

Been coming here for many years - off & on to various degrees. Food has always been fresh & service fairly solid; BUT this comes with a little higher pricetag (unless you hit the $15-18 lunch specials, hibachi that's not cooked in front of you over $30 per entree is normally a splurge... Once inside the "run of the mill facade" you are taken into an Asian sushi garden that feels a little more luxurious. This time, a menu item struck me: sizzling steak served on a hot marble slab? Unsure if it's a recent add or if it's always been overlooked (due to the $50 price point), but... I was calculating and thinking about something different this time... a splurge! If you think about the taste and value for your money, not to mention the photographic fun-factor... You cannot go wrong! #steaksizzle for days... and a 14 oz Ribeye with veggies that you cook to your desired temperature. The table fun and I had leftovers! Decent Happy Hour 4-7-- Pama Marg is worth your time. Ginza Pizza has been good in the past. Didn't try on this trip, but maybe on the next version of Treat Yo Self Steak Edition! 😁

I dined at Fuji Sushi Bar & Grill on Saturday and had a great experience. The food was excellent, and our waitress, Bella, really stood out. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything went smoothly without being overbearing. Her service added to an already enjoyable meal. I’d definitely be back!

We waited 90 minutes and still didn't get our dinner. The excuse was someone order a sushi boat. However, people around us were getting food. I will never go back. They should be embarrassed. The sushi chefs were terrible. And they didn't seem to care so I don't mind leaving a bad review. Do not ever go to this restaurant.

After being seated, we waited for 20 minutes and no servers came over. We watched 3 other tables who arrived after us get water and drinks.i don’t usually write reviews but servers please be mindful of what tables you have! Quite a few servers noticed us but did not make an effort to see if we had been helped or needed anything. You lost a customer!

I was caught a little off guard by the prices at first because it's in a strip mall... But the portions were totally worth it! The food was all cooked to perfection! We had a wonderful waitress who made sure we were well taken care of. My son is disabled so they were able to provide seating where his stroller would fit but I'm unsure if they have seating for a wheelchair.

Great food!!!! Easy online ordering process, and got a lot of food for the money! I ordered two sushi rolls, and the cashew chicken, which was way too much to eat considering it came with soup and rice as well! However, please give people regular soy sauce! If you're on the hunt for delicious Thai cuisine, look no further than Tasty Thai & Sushi. This charming eatery boasts a relaxed atmosphere and wallet-friendly prices that make it an ideal spot for casual dining. Their menu features a variety of dishes, including vegan-friendly curries, though it's worth noting that many entrees include oyster sauce.
This was some of the most flavorful Thai food we’ve (wife and I) had in some time. My wife got the Yellow Curry with Tofu and I got an egg noodle dish with tofu. We also got spring rolls and crab Rangoon for our appetizer. The service was excellent, everyone was super friendly, and the food came out quick. Definitely recommend this place!

Yummy food at a reasonable price. The place has plenty of parking space outside. We were seated quickly. It looked busy for a week night. We were still able to order in a decent amount of time and it didn't take very long for food to come out. We ordered stir fry ginger with tofu, pad prik with tofu, and stir fry eggplant. All were spice level 2 on a 1-5 scale. Our server asked us if we wanted it vegan and got the dishes made without fish sauce. All dishes came with steamed rice and the quantity was good. The food was very flavorful. Thanks to our server for looking out for us and getting us vegan dishes. It didn't lack any flavor and we had leftovers too. Will visit again.

We were visiting South Carolina for a vacation and I was about to give South Carolina a negative one star review because nobody has good food. Customer service and taste like this place right here they deserve 10 stars. I had to vegan pot Thai noodles with vegetable stirfry. Oh MG it is amazing and the waiter. She was the best out of everything. She turned my phone into a smile she I was hesitating on ordering it, but she promised me to assure me that my food would not get crossed contaminated by any shrimp or any chicken or any fish and they did that thank you so much guys I will be visiting again.

The customer service was great. We got our food to go. The food was very good. We got the Pad Thai with Chicken, Beef Fried Rice, Chicken Fried Rice and an order of Egg Rolls. The portions were just enough.

My fiancee had raved about this place when it was in it's old location. For a while we had thought they had closed entirely, but we just found out they had moved here. I very much enjoyed everything Tasty Thai offered. Don't be fooled by the sign out front saying that they are closed on Sundays. They recently changed their hours so they're open everyday. We had the crab wontons, the golden bag (chicken dumplings), and the house salad to start. All delicious, the salad dressing especially was amazing. Idk what it was but I want the recipe. For mains we got the pad see ew with chicken and I had the drunken spaghetti with beef. Level 1 spice was just a nice hint of heat. The flavor of both of the dishes was excellent. The beef was cooked really well (not over done). We finished with the mango sticky rice which is a must at any Thai restaurant. Check this place out for sure.

Ineatable! Do not order on Uber eats!!!! Their version of spicy tuna was some mashed version of tuna. The soy sauce was cut with oil. Every roll was mushy. It was like week old sushi from the back of the fridge.
Kim A — Google review
Originally found after couldn’t find parking on/near King St. What a hidden gem! Counter order. We tried 4 different rolls plus chicken potstickers and edamame. Every bit of it was excellent. Had great interactions with staff/owner. Our every need was taken care of before we needed it, down to our table being cleared for us even though you can tell the setup is for you to be able to clear your own. Appears to be mostly take-out as there are only three tables but if you can eat in, you sho as cooked rolls will come out piping hot for! Don’t sleep on this place.

Hibachi chicken with fried rice was good. Three rolls (left to right) are great, in the photo are the Philly, doge to the moon, and dynamite, and they're worth coming back for! Staff was kind and accommodating for a takeout order near closing (they got it out quick!).

First time eating at Kanji and we absolutely loved it the preparation was very clean. Ms.Cindy helped me pick a good sushi role and it was good. Will definitely be back, 10/10 recommendation food and price.

Just ordered Uber Eats (which I do from here often) and I’m disgusted. I ordered the ‘Dynamite Roll’ (Spicy tuna, cream cheese, avocado wrap seeweed outside & deepfried.eel sauce) . The spicy tuna is GROUND tuna. I called and the person answering the phone told me it was indeed GROUND tuna and not raw tuna like it’s supposed to be. It literally is all the way cooked tuna, chopped up, and smothered with cream cheese and fried. The eggs rolls, have nothing inside of them and are oozing with water and have nothing on the inside. Legitimately repulsive.
Margo P — Google review
I honestly wish I would’ve read reviews before getting the spicy chicken bowl. It wasn’t terrible tasting but it gave me McDonald’s vibes and I could have just gone there instead if that’s what I knew I was signing up for. Try a different style
