Beautiful and very large park! It has a free zoo, a big lake where you can just relax or even rent a small boat, and plenty of space for biking. There are also cafés inside the park. Definitely worth a visit!

A grand park to spend a whole afternoon. One circle around the park, with preriodical stops to smell the roses, hear the cow bellows, sit to take in the air will take about 2.5 to 3 hours. One of the best parks I've been to. If only it has beer gardens like those in Munich...

A magnificent and large park. There is a modern, free zoo and impressive glasshouses. The summer flower displays were impressive. The metro takes within half a kilometre then you have a easy walk to the park gates.

This is very nice place to spend your day. You can visit the park with your kids and friends. You can visit the Zoo and it's botanical garden. Lots of people is doing theirs Running activities and some people enjoying their long walk.

We have free morning time around 1 hour and choose this park walking around. - Lake and duck is funny and beautiful nature, we love this - Flower garden is nice but June summer time bit too hot for grew. - Deer 🦌 in the outside part was cute

Such an amazing experience in Lyon. A great representation of the gastronomic history and life of Lyon. Loved all the stories and information about the great chefs and seeing and trying local specialities. I highly recommend doing a private tour. We went with On City Lyon. The guide was knowledgeable and spoke good English. The tastings were fantastic and we had a great time. The markets were busy with rugby fans but our tour meant we had seats and were able to get in and try a number of different local specialities. One of our favourite tours and visits as a couple.

Came on a Sunday afternoon at about 1pm and some shops were already beginning to close. Some items can be pricey so we didn't buy much, though it was nice to see the variety of goods being sold. Would be worth coming if you arrive earlier, where you can spend more time exploring the area.

How I wish I’d enjoyed this better. There was so little that was gluten free and the vendors weren’t interested in my questions so I never felt anyone understood enough to feel safe eating there. We were starving! Took some ham and cheese & went to the gf bakery and got done bread but by then I was hangry. Tried the risotto which was delightful but I reacted and I don’t have a clue why? It wouldn’t have wheat in it? Loved Dijon market much better.

The store offers a good selection of different type of food. Saucisson de Lyon Brioché is one of my favourites. We arrived a bit late and thought the stores won’t close until 4pm but most stores closed before 3pm. So we didn’t get chance to explore more and rushed to pick a few items and left. The few items we picked turned out to be a bit pricey comparing to hotel’s buffet breakfast. There is a lot of paid parking available and the parking fee is quite reasonable. Will I come back again next time in Lyon? Maybe.

Fantastic market with many providers of fine French food. We had a petit dejeuner at La Fer and it was very nice. Pastry came later. Not too crowded early, but the vibe much better later in the day.

Probably the best fine arts museum in France outside of Paris. Not the Louvre or Musée d'Orsay obviously, but keeps very solid collection of paintings including famous artists from Jan Brueghel, Rubens and Tintoretto to the impressionists. But it also has a lot of magnificent works of local artist like Auguste Flandrin and Louis Janmot. The latter, a pupil of Ingres and fantastic graphist, has a whole room dedicated to his whole life project - The poem of the soul. Don't miss it. There is not a lot of people here. Even on week-ends the rooms are usually half empty and you can find a moment when you're alone in there facing the paintings.

Super impressive! They have an incredible amount of ancient artifacts, art, crafts and carved walls. Great paintings and lots of sculptures. The modern art was a bit of a letdown-very monotonous.

A very nice museum in a grand old building. The gardens as you come in are very peaceful compared to the square just out front. We got in using our Lyon city card but the entry price is pretty cheap for such a large museum. You might be waiting a little if you haven't pre bought tickets but I would say no more than 10mins. Some amazing works of art by some of the biggest names. The building itself is laid out well and some of the rooms are hosting monumentally sized pieces. There is a cafe on the first floor with some excellent varieties of eclair. Enjoy them on the balcony if the weather is nice. Even though it was a hot day when we went out was shady and a lovely place to relax.

Just a fantastic museum! We spent over two hours here admiring the many sculptures, paintings and artifacts. Highly recommended!!

Cheap entry for such a large and impression collection. A wide range of things from modern paintings and sculptures to antiquities. We spent 2 hours in here looking at everything, but could easily have spent longer had we not had to go elsewhere.

A substantial and eclectic collection of art and antiquities. The building itself is rather grand with a tranquil quadrangle with fountain. There is usually an admission charge but sometimes entry is free. The first floor cafe is excellent and has an outdoor terrace.

What an experience! Get ready to share the food and the table with others, its like a big family eating together passing the food starters and desserts. You only ask for the main dish and they take care of the rest, (prepare to eat a lot). Reservation is needed, its a small place but in a cozy way.

We were surprised that 2 girls were asked to sit on the table right beside us. My husband assumed that the place had plenty reservations- we ended the meal and the place was still empty - Why then were we squeezed in together. It was awkward at first but we were glad that the ladies beside us were nice. I guess the feeling should be like a family sitting together and sharing a meal. If the place was packed, I would understand but we only had 3 tables with people . It was weird and awkward. It would have been a better feeling if the food was great to compensate but… The appetizers were interesting and some were actually good like the beet roots and potatoes. But the mains were very disappointing. I had the tongue - it was soft but the sauce was underwhelming. We also had the Pan fried Beef Tripe with breadcrumbs - also underwhelming. For dessert Steve’s apples in red wine. I opted out for dessert. For drinks, we were served currant wine for starters - that was good - and after, we had wine (not good).

Authentic traditional lyonnaise food! Lovely cosy atmosphere with excellent service. Lots of beautiful, tasty food. I had the chicken, it was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. I love the shared, all you can eat style dishes. Great value for money! Highly recommend.

Incredible dining experience, I honestly cannot recommend this place highly enough! A must visit while in Lyon. The food was phenomenal but the atmosphere and the experience of the place made this one of the culinary highlights of our trip. The wait staff, Hugo and Pierre, seamlessly plied guests with traditional plates, flitting in and out of conversations in a way that made you feel like a guest in a home rather than a foreigner in a restaurant. We stayed well into the evening and would definitely return any time

First restaurant I tried for a bouchon. Amazing food from starters to desert. Shared a table with some Lyonnaise people (very friendly) offered us wine. Definitely an amazing place.

We had such a lovely lunch at this typical bouchon lyonnais. The food was absolutely delicious—authentic, hearty, and full of flavour. The waiter was attentive, friendly, and had a great sense of humour, which added to the charm of the experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy traditional Lyonnaise cuisine in a beautiful and welcoming setting!

The Olympian menu was beautiful and delicious and the hospitality was beyond amazing! The gentleman manager was so gracious in welcoming us and really set a fabulous tone to welcoming us. The team already knew my name, Harmanjeet Kandhari and I was shown to my table with so much elegance! The food was beyond delicious! The chicken main dish with mushrooms was the best chicken I had in France! I love it when restaurants treat customers beautifully. I love it when hospitality warms my heart and leaves me with a beautiful experience! I wish Leon de Lyon the very best and I'll be rooting for a Michelin Star for them. 🌟

Had a delicious lunch here. We were not really dressed for the occasion as were wandering when we decided to eat. Beautiful surroundings and for lunch what seemed like a more local clientele. The staff were very welcoming. The menu was comprehensive. Wine list was short but sufficient. The sweetbreads were excellent as was the chicken. The two desserts we chose were also excellent, a deliciously smooth crème brûlée and an eclair.

It was very nice experience. The food was perfect 🥇 The atmosphere was exactly like I saw on the pictures. I would like also mark that the stuff was very gentle and very prepared. My huge thanks to the tall gentleman (unfortunatly don't know his name) he cared about us like we are very important persons. That place was visited by famous persons.

It’s an experience! The location is truly spectacular. Rustic and tasteful with an open kitchen. Old ornate panes and ceiling paintings - the ambiance is fun. On weekends, they offer the gourmet menu (€69). The dishes change. I wanted to experiment and try dishes I hadn’t eaten before. I wasn’t disappointed. The main course was an extremely tender chicken leg in sauce. The dessert was a dream. Mascarpone encased in a crispy chocolate skin. In addition, a cream with crunchy elements. Incredibly good. All in all, the visit is worth it.

Wandering around Lyon I thought Leon de Lyon looked enticing. For lunch I had the veal head which was excellent and finished off with a crepe suzette which was artistically and professionally prepared for me at the table. The service was not just impeccable but friendly. A wonderful dining experience which I hope to repeat if I ever return to Lyon.

Beautiful, historic restaurant in Lyon’s 1st district. Very warm and welcoming interior, flaunting an old school feeling, which is very enjoyable. Restaurant serves a short menu of traditional Lyon dishes. The Bresse chicken, for example, was good and should not be missed. The duck terrine starter was also quite nice. There’s an extensive wine list with varieties from across France. Long champagne list as well, which is always nice to see. The service was a bit uneven/confused. Expected more from a restaurant proud of its long history. Prices are high, but within the expectations for this type of Lyon establishment. Fell a bit short of expectations.

Excellent restaurant with amazing food at acceptable prices (menu at 33 eur) . Everything was delicious from start to the end. The service was a little slow and it would have been great to have some more explanations about the delicious food we were served. Often we had to ask and the answers were a bit in a rush. I will definitely return and I'll put this address in my favorites.

We ordered 3 courses dinner. As a start we were served with a small bowl of amuse bouche which taste good. Wonderful meal and the portion were just right.

Excellent food, warm and attentive service without being fussy. Dinner also included an off menu amuse bouche. My first experience with sunchoke gratin, chantilly cream and tarragon gel. I would return again. Apologies for the dim photos. I had one of the tables without direct overhead lighting, but it was my choice to sit there and it did not otherwise affect my dining experience.

Wonderful experience in this very tiny dining room, the semi open kitchen gives a few tables a kitchen table experience.The vibe from the staff & music was the perfect level of “chill & enjoy your meal“ The slightly rushed wine service is probably do to lack of space to work/eat in. The mid sized wine list is full of gems all decently priced. The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish showing very fresh and pure flavors

The tomato appetizer and crepe ball’s appetizer was really great. Those appetizers were amazing. I also enjoyed the main courses. The wine selection wasn’t extensive. The service was excellent. The ambiance was great. The restaurant is small and it was booked. I recommend getting a reservation. The lunch menu was very affordable. Only $55 euros for a 5 course meal. A excellent value. I would recommend coming here. It was a enjoyable experience.

I'm really glad that I found this place and booked a table for lunch. My husband and Mother in law got the 3-course menu while I went for the Discovery menu which came with 5 courses. Every dish was beautiful and you could taste quite a few different flavors and ingredients in one bite. Each dish was very much prepared with care. The services were wonderful, too. We actually ran into one of the servers at the train station and she was so nice and asked whether we needed help even though you could tell she just got off of work. Overall, the overall food quality and service is deserving of a Michelin rating ( compare to many of the 1 - 2 stars Michelin places I've tried) with an amazing value. Highly recommend it and would come back!!!

The Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière is one of Lyon’s most iconic landmarks, visible from almost anywhere in the city. Personally, I usually find the interiors of Orthodox churches more spiritual, but this basilica’s interior really amazed me — it’s beautiful and inspiring. The exterior is just as impressive, and the panoramic view over Lyon from the top is fantastic. You can get there easily by tram, or hike up if you prefer (which I’d also recommend). Nearby, the Roman Theatre and archaeological site are free to visit and very well preserved. Both the basilica and the ruins are definitely worth seeing.

Arriving late evening in Lyon, our Uber driver took us here on a quick detour to our hotel ‘because it is so very beautiful, and you guys can see view of Lyon skyline from there’. Indeed it was a beautiful Basilica, majestic even in the dark of night. Indeed it was an impressive view of Lyon. Very grateful of him, blessed his soul. I got the chance to go back the next morning, and although did not got the chance to go inside, my appreciation grew even more about the opportunity to visit. A must go when you are in Lyon. If your hotel is not nearby, they have tram from the city center that stops directly in front.

Beautifully located on top of a hill, and Best to take an Uber to get there. There is also a vista point on the side of the church with great views of the whole city. If you can walk down the hill, you can visit a nice museum with an outdoor Greek theatre. You can also take a short cut and walk the stairs down the hill

Lovely place to visit in Lyon. Get a day ticket for € 6.90 and couple of trains later you are there. Beautiful views of the city (sunset as well). Basilica is amazing. Don't compare it with Vatican however it is grand in its own way.

It is a marvelous place to visit even when you are not Christian. The interior of the basilica Notre-Dame of Fourvière in Lyon, is tremendously high. The walls are astonishing and it drops your mouth down to the floor. I have not taken many pictures inside because my eyes were focused on all the tiny details in each stunning things my eyes would lay eyes on. If one thing to visit in Lyon, it clearly is there and Paul Bocuse Market^^.

What a beautiful basilica one has the pleasure to see, adore and to participate because during our vist a mass was held. The church has an endless history to show, not only in the holy Christian sense but also in its rich architectural designs. A real treat to be there.

Until you take your breath away, what an impressive basilica it is. A great architectural construction. It is definitely worth a visit. And to pray in peace. May St. Mary be vigilant.

Very nice museum. The building itself is very interesting, built like a bunker. The contents are also very interesting there are a lot of really amazing artifacts. They have a lot of kid stuff so it seems to be one of the most family friendly museums I have seen. Would highly recommend visiting. Water fountain with nice cold water on the 5th floor

First off, amazing building. The best architecture I've seen in a museum, which really changes the whole experience of the museum. The atmosphere was very nice. The way you ascend and descend is perfect for a museum. I didn't even realise I was descending untill mu gf told me. The museum and it's contents were very fun (in a historical way). Amazing Gallo-Roman museum.

In a word: stunning. The museum holds many very important works of art from the early Roman Empire, some without parallel anywhere else. Admission is free for students and seniors, and for all others, the ticket cost is low. Audio guides are free and available in many languages. The museum itself, carefully hidden inside a hill, is a marvel of modern architecture. This should be a thorough visit because the collections are very extensive.

Wasn't sure what to expect when walking in but this was an amazingly informative museum. It traced the history of Lyon very well and presented all the artifacts with great details. Expect to spend at least 2 hours if you want to read everything and a lot of it is in English too. Highly recommend not skipping this.

Undoubtedly one of the best archaeological museums I have visited. The concrete architecture of the building itself is wonderful, opening up layer after layer as you explore downwards from the entrance floor. The pieces are often entirely unique and extremely important as sources (e.g. the Coligny Calendar, the Tabula Claudiana, etc.) and very well curated.

Such a beautiful and detailed museum! We were able to go in for free and the audio guides were also free which was an unexpected bonus. Perfect place to hide out from the heat for a few hours.

Well designed museum, one of the best archaelogical museum we visited. The staffs are very nice. We went in August, maybe they had special events/anniversary that they offered free tickets for everyone, lucky us.

Really enjoyed my visit here - so many interesting exhibits and things to see. I think the best part is the fact that the films referenced and the props from the films are films that are very well-known, not just random French films. Would highly recommend to people as an activity in Lyon, however my one small issue was that we bought tickets in advance but still had to line up in the same queue as everyone else, so buying a ticket in advance was fairly pointless, only decreased the price slightly. But other than that really loved it.

AMAZING! I think should be a must do when you visit Lyon with kids or just if you like movies and a different type of art. They have created incredible mini and real size scenes from movies and normal life things! A different way to know history as well! We went without tickets and ending paying less because they have a family packet. If you are 2 adults and one or more kids, it is definitely cheaper.

Incredible and unique museum. They have some really cool pieces from films, which are still interesting to look at even if you haven’t seen them. The miniature section was a good surprise also—they are so detailed and realistic! While it is a bit on the more expensive side, it’s worth it and it is an independent business.

Walking through this museum felt like stepping straight back into my childhood (I was born in the mid-80s), and it was nothing short of magical. From Star Wars to Batman 1989, from Aliens to Beetlejuice, the collection is packed with iconic treasures that instantly spark memories of the films that defined an era. According to one of the staff, the Darth Vader mask here is the only original one on public display today, that alone is worth the visit! What sets this place apart is how personal it feels. I love the great art museums of France, but this was different, so much more relatable. Every piece triggered a wave of nostalgia, reminding me of movies I adored and had nearly forgotten, and reigniting the sense of wonder that first made me fall in love with cinema. These films came from the golden age of moviemaking, where practical effects and early CGI blended to create timeless magic that today’s movies rarely capture. Seven floors are filled with cinematic history, and while you can see it all in about 1–2 hours, it’s the kind of place where you’ll want to linger at your favorites. For me, highlights included the Darth Vader helmet, the full Batman 1989 suit and vehicles, the wonderfully complete Beetlejuice exhibit, and the jaw-dropping animatronic Alien that makes you feel like you’re right on set. Seeing Thor’s hammer (Mjolnir), Iron Man’s glove, and nods to classics like Indiana Jones, Mrs. Doubtfire, Jumanji, The Mask, and even Fast & Furious only added to the thrill. If you grew up with movies from the late 80s through the early 2000s, this museum is pure nostalgia wrapped in cinema magic. It’s a time machine back to Saturday nights at the theater or trips to Blockbuster, and it will leave you smiling long after you leave. I can’t recommend it highly enough. As a bonus, all the staff that work there are friendly, knowledgeable and passionate! Update: the top floor which houses the miniatures was closed when we arrived for renovations. If this is important to you, come back when they are completed.

At first I thought it was quite expensive, but it was really worth it! They had original sceneries, props costumes, and of course, the miniatures, which were really amazing to see. Everything was really well indicated, it was easy to navigate, even with our bad french. Some of the items haf indications in English, but not all. All props had access for kids to see, too. It wasn't crowded when we went, it was a Tuesday, so we could enjoy ourselves in our own pace and there was no need to book in advance. Don't miss on the patio outside, which is free and really beautiful as well!

fantastic experience! is very interesting and fun, perfect for people who loves cinema! staff is very friendly and they speak english very well so its perfect for tourists. there is a toilette in every floor, and also a dog bowl! i enjoyed it a lot!!

This restaurant, offering a tasting menus (€60, 90, 120 and 200), presents itself as fine dining. I tried the €120 menu. Overall, it felt like I had already eaten most of these dishes elsewhere — in mid-range restaurants. The flavors were flat, lacking depth or creativity. The absence of any original taste combinations is the only lasting impression I took away from the evening. The presentation of the dishes lacked character. Three different courses were served on identical black plates, which felt uninspired. The bread was terrible — if you press it with a knife or your finger, it just sticks together. You could use it instead of clay. The dining room tries to look designer, but the tables are made of plastic designed to imitate black marble, and the ceiling is painted with a shiny, reflective paint that feels out of place. The cloth towels in the restroom smelled musty and not fresh. I do not recommend dining at this restaurant.

Really nice place with amazing owner. We were served by one of the owners who super kindly told us about their story and what they are trying to accomplish which was super nice. Food wise really amazing they have a business lunch for like 40 EUR which is really good value. Exceptional! Our son was here in June and had such a memorable evening that when we mentioned we would be visiting this month in Lyon, it was his first thought that we dine here. Every course was exceptionally executed and on point. The service matched the meal, again exceptional! Michelin take notice.

This was the highlight meal of our visit to Lyon. We got the "Grand Voyage" tasting menu and 3 paired glasses of wine. Everything was good but the standouts for me were the quail with raspberry and chocolate, the barbecued octopus (normally I don't eat octopus), and the foie gras which was served garnished with (I think?) dried pineapple. (I got foie gras at three different places in Lyon, and this was the best). The signature beef dish was certainly delicious but I actually think the meal would have been fine without it, as it wasn't as special as our favorite other items. I wish I'd taken notes on the wine, the first course white was a big win. The service was great. The decor was fine but nothing special. But I don't go out for meals like this to look at the walls.

Amazing! Such a lovely place, with great service, such tasty food made with love by an italian woman chef. We had the grand menu and the italian menu and we lived a magical culinary experience. Everything was delicious and above our expectations. Highly recomand! I think its a must in Lyon.

We had a terrific tasting menu with wine pairing. The place was quiet and as a result they sat everyone with at least one table in between. Very thoughtful. They have several tasting menus - we had Grand Voyage. Delicious blend of haute cuisine with Italian influences (as Chef is Italian). The wine pairing choices were excellent and the somm was very eager to substitute if one was not to our taste. Overall the feeling was of quiet elegance (no need for jackets) with elevated food and wine and excellent service. The chef came out to chat and it was lovely to understand her vision. A place not to miss in Lyon. We would have returned had we been there long enough. Do not miss it.

We spent a magical evening hosted by the charming Alban Perez and his incredibly talented colleagues who prepared two delightful set menus for us on a warm spring night this March. Every dish was a work of art in both appearance and taste; I had the Menu Balade végétarien and my partner had the Menu Balade and we loved every bite. Every course that arrived was elevated by Alban's explanations—we were very curious—and wit. Afterward, Viviana came out to greet us and we had a wonderful chat about her professional journey from her home in Naples, Italy to Belgium, Norway, and elsewhere in Europe -- always cooking in Michelin-starred establishments -- before she ended up in Lyon. This is a warm, family-run restaurant without pretension or pomp; everyone pulls together and works hard to create magic for their guests every night. I cannot recommend it highly enough. It is only a matter of time before it earns a star!

The restaurant creates a wonderful romantic atmosphere, like a couple strolling through a blooming spring garden. The food is absolutely delicious, with impressive touches of Japanese elements. The desserts are outstanding.

The starter bread was beautifully thin with a slight sweetness and a piece of a savory salami in the middle. The entire dinner experience was a detail over-flowing presentation where each bit and piece of food was crafted with ultra precision. The bread and cheeses course blew us away with the quality and the quantity. We all loved the sorbet and cherished the white chocolate peach that popped open to reveal white cream and apricot jelly. Finally, the finale dessert drawer was exquisitely presented and each little ball or stick was a mouth full of flavor and texture. It was a very pleasant experience with the service being very polite and infused with that aura of Japan.

Given the Michelin star and the price we were expecting a good dinner but this restaurant was superb. Amazing flavours, delicious combinations and a very well balanced tasting menu. My only slight criticism was the speed of service at the start when we were enjoy amuse bouches and an aperitif. This was soon corrected and the rest of the evening was great.

We enjoyed a lovely meal here for our anniversary. Everything in the set menu was delicious. We chose not to pay extra for the Wagyu beef and were very happy with the venison course. The couple next to us ordered the beef which the waiter showed them before it was cooked. My reaction to the highly marbled piece was that it looked like a lot of fat😳 When they were presented with the small cooked slices, I was very glad that we had gone with the venison. The chocolate dessert was one of the best I have ever had! We took the four glasses of wine offering and were puzzled when three of the four came with the three entrées; apparently we were to have no wine with the fish course and the last glass was red to go with the venison. It could have been explained better. We had difficulty understanding our Asian waiters descriptions of the courses in French or English because of her accent but it was all delicious. The setting was open and airy with large windows looking onto the street of Vieux Lyon.

Creative Michelin starred dining. The restaurant is located in the old town of Lyon & a lovely reception area leads off to the next building where the dining room is. Serviced by Japanese staff who are proficient in French but a little lacking in English skills (which made it difficult to understand some of the explanations - but we are in France, so the fault lies with us for not being to speak the local lingo). The dining room is charming & we scored a lovely table by the window. This restaurant has a unique way of folding their napkins which sets the stage for an evening of creative dishes which the chef & his team have obviously given much thought. There is an option to upgrade the main to Japanese wagyu beef but we opted for the original degustation which had roast lamb as the main meat dish. The food was simply sublime - at times, little notes of Japanese influence appeared in the dishes. Subtle & refined but blending in beautifully. The pan fried foie gras was melt in the mouth delicious. The langoustines were sweet & juicy. The lamb was perfectly roasted. I could go on …. Suffice to say, each dish was perfection itself. The 2 desserts were outstanding. Particularly loved the “red lips” of chocolate. Overall - a delectable meal & with 1 Michelin star in its pocket, won’t be surprised if another is on its way.

Such a beautiful experience and one of the best michelin restaurants i went to in Lyon. Chef Arai puts his creative genius into the food and it is exceptionally crafted as it comes out. The waitstaff were super nice and were a pleasure to talk to throughout the meal as well with all their recommendations. It is definitely a place I’d return to in Lyon for fine dining

During our stay in Lyon France we had the chance to dine at a traditional bouchon Les Lyonnaise, and experience authentic Lyonnaise cuisine for the very first time. The meal was nothing short of delightful. We started with the Lyonnaise salad, which instantly won me over the crisp greens paired with generous bacon bits that were perfectly crunchy adding a savory and salty punch that elevated the dish beautifully. We also tried quenelles, a signature specialty of Lyon. The delicate, almost cloud-like texture of the fish cake was unlike anything I’ve had before, and the creamy, rich sauce it was served with tied everything together in a comforting and flavorful way. Beyond the food, the experience was made even better by the warm and amiable service. The staff made us feel welcome, and the ambiance of the restaurant cozy yet lively!

One of the better quenelle dish since they got the lobster sauce just right. The French version of shepherd's pie was ok. The lamb shank (mice) could've been more tender. The baby au rhum was quite strong but the ile flottante was heavenly. We were in the bottom cavern which made for a nostalgic quaint atmosphere and most clients weren't too loud. The wine selection was topnotch and the service superb!

One of the best meals of our trips! FILLING and delicious. Would recommend all of the apps. A classic Bouchon and the vibes were friendly and warm. You get to know the people you're eating with and it's fantastic. Definitely could have used more staff to increase speed of service, but other than that it was just the best. Would recommend getting reservations.

One of the best restaurants in Lyon. I would recommend the lamb mice confit dish. It was exquisite—very flavorful and perfectly cooked to match well with house selected French red wine. The Veal chittering sausage dish came in unique and strong flavor. The Lyonnaise pie was flavorsome. The staff who served us was very friendly and helpful. I personally think his service will definitely help attracting more customers to the place. Thank you for your excellent service!

Les Lyonnais was on a lot of social media and maybe our expectation was too high. We did not have a reservation, but it was late afternoon, and we (party of 2) were able to get a table outside in less than 10 minutes. We ordered the usual: onion soup and saucisson brioche, then the Lyonnais salad and the bourguignon style meat dish. Food was okay, but not great. The Lyonnais salad was… of large portion. Bourguignon-style meat dish was very hot (almost burned my mouth) and was missing any sauce (maybe forgotten?). Anyway, service was attentive. We nonetheless enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.

Les Lyonnaise was the best food we’ve had in France! Jean-Pascal was the nicest server ever! He made our experience amazing!

This restaurant is part of the Les Bouchons Lyonnais association. I had dinner on the outside tables and was served by a very fun waiter. I had the Gratinee d'Oignons a l'Ancienne as entree and the Quenelle de Brochet as main course, they were both good. Prices are slightly above average but overall is a good restaurant.

Honestly, I found the food a bit overrated given all the hype. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t particularly impressive either. Tried their signature pâté en croûte, but it didn’t stand out, and the bone marrow was quite bland. Service was slow, and the atmosphere was just average 😕 especially compared to some lesser-known bouchons that offer a more authentic experience. Overall, an okay meal, but I wouldn’t rush back.

The staff is amazing, they explain everything with details, recommend wine options with your food and very kind plus patient considering they were packed. We liked everything except the chicken but we do recommend trying it at less for once if you’re in Lyon. We went without a reservation and they seated us immediately (we were there at 12pm). They best part for us was the atmosphere, staff and the desserts.

Tried the lunch special moist ground pork with a crispy outer shell, perfect texture, made savory with dill sauce, and French toast blueberry sauce, super sweet! With its attentive service and quiet atmosphere, this Michelin rated bouchon restaurants delivers!

Daniel & Denise was a meal that we were looking forward to for a long time and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant has a charming traditional interior with tables close to each other. You can either order from their set menu or a la carte and we opted for one of each. We got the quenelle, pate en croute, bone marrow with snails, Lyonnaise salmon salad, and stuffed poultry. The quenelle is the famous dish and it didn't disappoint. It tasted almost like a fish ball, with the soft and spongy texture, and the sauce was very flavorful and paired well. The pate en croute was delicious, bone marrow was great, and the stuffed poultry was also great. Everything is definitely on the hearty side and you will definitely leave satisfied. Our server (Zara) was also very friendly and sweet to our young daughter. It's a great way to experience the famous Lyonnaise cuisine and it didn't disappoint.

The steak tartare was amazing, but the orange dish with creamy cheese was too heavy and we didn’t like it. The pasta and thinly sliced potato wedges were also delicious.
