Playa del Carmen in 4 days

If you only have 4 days to spend in Playa del Carmen, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
Playa del Carmen was once a quiet fishing town, but is now one of the most popular destinations in Mexico, thanks to its pristine white sand beaches and a relaxed atmosphere. The town's tourist activity centers on Quinta Avenida, or Fifth Avenue, that is lined with shops, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Playa del Carmen's other big attraction is its lively nightlife; every evening, there are live music performances on the street and in the clubs, as well as a number of activities and events.
With favorites like Ah Cacao Chocolate Café, Parque Los Fundadores, and Xplor Park, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like La tarraya and Harry's Steakhouse & Raw Bar | Playa del Carmen so you can get the best taste of Playa del Carmen while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Xcaret Park is a waterfront eco-archaeological park in the Mexican Caribbean, offering over 50 attractions suitable for all ages. It's an ideal place to immerse yourself in the region's natural beauty and cultural heritage with your family. The park features underground rivers, jungle exploration, and access to the Caribbean Sea. Visitors can also explore ancient Mayan ruins and experience Mexican cuisine and folklore.
This place is amazing with breathtaking views and plenty of activities to enjoy. The only downside is that everything is extremely overpriced, easily many times higher than outside, so it is best to come well prepared and bring what you need. Aside from that, the views are incredible, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Definitely a must do experience when visiting Cancun.
David T — Google review
This is a very well run and nice park. The underground river float was nice, the beaches were decent. The nighttime show was great. The downside is that the entire park is setup to squeeze money out of you. Only a few things are actually included in an already expensive ticket. The included buffet was average. It is clean and nice. It's worth doing once but we wouldn't come back again. The night show was definitely the highlight.
John H — Google review
I really enjoyed my visit to Xcaret Park! I went with my partner (2 adults no children). We had a blast. The underground rivers were beautiful and definitely the best part, and all the activities were a lot of fun. As someone first being introduced to Mexican culture, I found the park to be a great and engaging introduction, the night show especially was very cool and entertaining. Our package (the plus package) included the dinner buffet, which had a great variety of options and everything tasted delicious. I’d definitely recommend getting the buffet package to make the day smoother and avoid worrying about food. It was also nice that the package came with a locker, and there were plenty of bathrooms around the park (which were always clean). We also did the Adrenalina boating activity for 30 min and it was amazing! Our drivers, Pablo and Diego, were super fun, entertaining, and made the whole experience memorable. It was a bit pricey and felt like it could’ve lasted a little longer, but overall, it was one of the highlights of the day. There were many activities to enjoy such as the aviary, butterfly conservatory, chapel, cemetery, Mayan Pueblo, waterpark etc. The only downside is the price point — it’s definitely on the higher side, and for that cost, it would be nice if at least one additional activity besides the river were included. The souvenir shops were also quite expensive (though that’s somewhat expected). Overall, I’m really glad I went! There’s so much to see that one day doesn’t feel like enough, and it was never a dull moment. I’d recommend Xcaret to anyone willing to spend a bit extra for a full, unique experience in Mexico. 🌴✨

This place is absolutely amazing, yes it's a little expensive but in my opinion when you compare it to English theme parks or experiences its absolutely worth it. The place is big but not so big that you cant get round it all. It has a river that you swim (you are provided with life vests and flippers) and for me this was the highlight of the trip. Aquarium where you can see sharks, turtles, fish. An aviary which was amazing with some great picture opportunities. There's a cultural section of the park where you can learn more about Mexican culture and history. A place to snorkel which is included in the price. There's a beach and plenty of places to down tools and eat drink and relax. We were in Mexico in low season so the park was quite in comparison to higher season which was great as we got round everything and absolutely no queues. Top Tip hang around for the evening show it is long but definitely worth it and gives you a real flavour of mexico. Highly reccomend this park. I've also been to Xplor and loved that but this park topped even that.

Thank you for creating such a beautiful atmosphere. I was deeply impressed by the beauty of Xcaret’s nature; everything feels alive and full of spirit. The live music, your dedicated team, and the energy of the place make it truly special. It seems that everyone who works here truly loves what they do, and that passion can be felt in every detail. As visitors, you offer us not only wonderful experiences but also inspiration. You remind us to appreciate nature, to care for the environment, and to value culture and traditions. Xcaret is much more than a park — it is a celebration of life and harmony. I wish that soon our entire planet could be like this corner of the world — full of respect, beauty, and balance. Even if not everyone can see it or be here, thank you for inspiring people to become better human beings and to care more for our shared home, the Earth.

We visited for Dia de los Muertos and it was a lovely afternoon with authentic food, fun workshops and beautiful decorations. The ceremony was breathtaking, we visited it twice. The spectacular show is a must. Only thing we would suggest to the organisers is to have a map available for guests…we spent 40 mins looking for the chocolate workshop and asked five members of staff that all directed us to different places. When we found it it was too late as our transfer was picking us up.

Xcaret Park is an absolutely gorgeous destination that offers a rich and immersive Mexican experience. While its beauty and activities are top tier, visitors should be prepared for the cost of dining. The Positives (What Makes Xcaret Shine): Perfectly Designed Layout: Don't be intimidated by the map! The park is brilliantly designed so that the distances between activities feel manageable. You can easily walk from one point of interest to the next without feeling exhausted. · The Iconic Rivers: A definite highlight! Floating down the calm, underground, and open-air rivers is a must do. The nice 22-degree water is incredibly refreshing and the perfect way to cool down from the hot Mexican sun. · World Class Aviary and Shows: The bird life is spectacular. The aviary is beautiful and a pleasure to walk through, but the "breath taking parrot display" was a particular standout truly perfect in its execution. · Cultural & Historical Immersion: The park does an amazing job of showcasing Mexico's rich history. The exhibition shows are not just performances; they are passionate displays of national pride. It was moving to see how each actor performed with such genuine pride in their heritage. The Negative (A Significant Consideration): High Food and Drink Costs: The main drawback is undoubtedly the price of food within the park. Even with a "Plus" ticket that includes a lunch, it wasn't sufficient to cover a full day of sustenance. This is a particular challenge for all day visitors, especially those from large holiday resorts who are unable to pack their own food and snacks to bring along. Verdict: Xcaret is a breathtaking park that masterfully combines natural wonders with powerful cultural exhibits. It's a must visit for its stunning rivers, wildlife, and unforgettable shows. However, to fully enjoy your day, be sure to budget significantly extra for food and drinks beyond any included meal plans. The experience is incredible, but the cost of convenience inside the park is high.

This park was so much fun! The crystal river water was actually warm and felt nice, and so was the sea water. All the fish were so beautiful and vibrant, and the shows were entertaining to watch. Really was a nice experience.

Xenses Park by Xcaret is a unique adventure park that offers sense-themed activities and optical illusions to arouse your senses. From a nonsensical Mexican town testing your balance, to an ultra-fast slide descent, zip line tour, and nature-based spa treatments at the Natural Xpa. With over 50 fantastic scenarios to explore, visitors can experience what it feels like to be a giant and enjoy optical illusions.
We visited Xenses by Xcaret and overall, it was such a fun and unique park — my whole family loved it. There’s so much to do, from ziplines and mud baths to river floats and even a cenote waterslide — all of that was amazing. BUT I have to give a serious warning about one part: the very first “activity” you go through — the pitch-black tunnels or caves. That part was honestly traumatizing. It’s about 10 minutes of walking in complete darkness, alone, with weird textures and sounds. My sister and I were lucky to be next to each other, but we were screaming each other’s names just to stay calm. My boyfriend couldn’t even last 10 seconds before turning around and walking out. It felt like being stuck in a horror movie or some strange out-of-body experience — I would not recommend it at all. Besides that, everything else in the park was beautiful and super fun. Just skip the tunnel if you’re even a little bit claustrophobic or anxious in the dark. The rest of the park really is worth it!
Emily C — Google review
I visited Xenses with my mom yesterday, and we had a great time! The park is such a fun and unique experience — it really encourages you to explore, get out of your comfort zone, and use all your senses. Each activity is different, and it's amazing how much thought went into the design of each space. My favorite part was the old town/village section, where it felt like everything was tilted. It was kind of hard to keep your balance, but that made it even more fun! It really messed with your sense of direction in the best way. One thing to keep in mind: many of the activities require you to go barefoot, which is part of the experience. It’s all about feeling different textures and environments. I enjoyed that part, but it might not be ideal for everyone. My mom, who’s older, chose to skip a few of the activities, but there was still plenty for her to enjoy. Overall, it was a beautiful day, and we both left with smiles on our faces. Definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for something different and interactive!

Love this place! Very relaxing and fun for the whole family! Walked El Pueblo where everything is upside down! Ziplines, waterfall, and the spa area was so relaxing! This is a place for everyone to enjoy.

I just LOVED this park. I enjoyed it to the fullest! All the activities, the little details, how well they show you or encapsulate what Mexico as a country is. Is just beautiful. The show is next level. Even if you only came to playa del carmen to come to this park. Is money well spent. I visited 3 of these parks, they’re were all worth it, to the fullest. Looking forward to come back

A must visit theme park in Mexico. The whole park plays tricks with your senses and illusion. The upside town is the highlight because you think you are going up but you are actually going down. The water features are great and the different illusions are brilliant.

One of the most unique park we have visited. Everything is so unique and fun. Most reviews say it is half day park but we actually spent close to 6 hours. We are a family of 4 and we did thr whole park at a steady pace. Got to so the bird flight 3 times with no wait time. A must do at Rivera Maya. Must try the fresh cold lemonade.

We had a great time. All the activities are great. The food was great we got there super early so the entering process was very quick. Recomended doing the most popular activities first or while everyone is at lunch. The only thing was we bought the picture package but we did not receive all our pictures. We got sent pictures of people we did not go with, so we are try to see if we can receive the pictures that we bought but we're not sent. Apart from that can't wait to go back but at night ☺️👍🏽

This was an amazing adventure! XPLOR FUEGO 🔥 So glad we got good weather, and it wasn’t packed. We booked with the resort which made things so much easier. We paid up front which was a reasonable price for two people. We got shuttles there and back. The travel time was not long. It was about 1 hour there, and 1 hour back. There is a locker included in the pricing as well. TIPS: Bring a backpack, water shoes, waterproof phone case, change of clothes, and towels. Bring money for souvenirs, snacks, and etc. We had 2 snacks, buffet, and drinks included. The tamales: chicken/pork both so delicious 🤤. The lemonade was some of the best I’ve tried, and the other beverages from others input were flavorful as well. Getting started the waters are a little chilly when doing the night adventures. The hand rafting was fun, and a little tiresome. You’re likely to bump into spots but make for some fun. Swimming through the tunneled areas was dark a times, but totally safe. Reminder: there are bats around so make sure to duck. There are about 8-9 zip lines that go back to back each level getting higher. You can do zip lines with a partner or solo. Also very safe, and I commend the staff makes sure everyone is safe and having a good time. They all explained everything in great detail, and offer English or Spanish instructions. They made sure we were safely secured for each activity. They were able to accommodate everyone’s needs. The ATV/ cart ride was so much fun. They have 4 to a car, and 1 person is DD. The terrain is very bumps, and a little dirty. Everything here was so much fun, and I would highly recommend this activity the next time you’re in the area. You won’t regret it! ** There is lots of walking, and can get slippery. So make sure your water shoes are durable, and you walk with caution. Lastly the night time one I enjoyed. It was comfortable waiting in line without the sun blaring on you since the lines don’t have much shade to wait in. The cooler weather was great. It was pretty dark throughout the park so be vigilant.
Priscilla C — Google review
My friends and I booked in advance to take advantage of the discount. We were lucky that it was rainy, so we didn't get sunburn or need sunscreen, but we didn't get to do all the activities as they were full (amphibious vehicles and river rafting). Some lines were longer than others, but we still had a good time. The food at the restaurant was terrific, and you could eat as much as you wanted. The staff at the park were friendly & amazing. The only suggestion I have is that the helmet needs to be cleaned as they smelled sweaty, some more than others. If you're going, wear a bonnet or a swim cap. Prices are expensive, so consider purchasing a waterproof phone pouch before your visit. It may not be necessary, as you should not have anything on you for most activities (park rules). However, I would advise that you take the photo package; it's worth it.
Odelinda B — Google review
Great family experience! Bring good water shoes, I saw many people walking around missing one or both shoes, from the water rides. Our family of 5 had a blast, the youngest was 9, so there was some tandem zip lines so he wouldn't get stuck. The water slide was 1.5-hours most of the day, so we skipped that. Arrive early, play hard, have an early lunch, play hard, then enjoy one last meal before you leave.
JP R — Google review
We had a wonderful time! Yes it was very hot but food and drinks were included all day so you could rehydrate or recharge at any time. Be advised that there is a lot of long distance walking to get to different areas of the park. Water shoes and a helmet must be worn at all times. A waterproof phone pouch is nice to have but it can’t be taken on certain attractions so you can store it in the locker with other valuables if you choose to.

Best trip eva!!! This is like universal studios Mexican style! Part of the Xcaret adventure parks! Must do.. buy ahead of time at least 15 days to avail discount. Buy photo package alongside transportation service! It will save u at least 20 to 50 dollars if book ahead of time. Do the Toboganxotw first, then under ground. U can do the water raft last.it will test your patience!!! And your marriage. Lol. The amphibian vehicles and ziplines ar3 exhilarating!!! Must do in Cancun. They willl not let u take go pro on tobagonxote for safety issues. Group of 4 with weight limit ;) so u may wait til your group has the right weight limit. Have fun and keep.running and riding!!!!!! Try Xplor Fuego too. But pay extra

Río Secreto offers an adventurous experience for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can embark on a journey through the underground river, marveling at the stunning stalactites and stalagmites while hiking and swimming in the turquoise waters. The excursion begins with a bike ride through the lush jungle, followed by a captivating hike through caverns adorned with bats and rock formations. With knowledgeable guides leading the way, visitors can rappel into the fresh water to explore this hidden subterranean world.
My husband and I had a lot of fun doing private tour here with Benito and Pato. Benito our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made our adventure feel safe and fun. Pato our photographer ensured that all the lightings were perfect to get that amazing shot ! Thank you both for the unforgettable experience, and if anyone wants to try I highly recommend it. Oh and the bathroom is very clean (I was expecting a porta potty situation but no it even smell nice and clean too. Big big plus)

Secreto Rio was such a very cool experience. The underground cave system (not a cenote!) is absolutely stunning, and the whole adventure feels peaceful, magical, and well organized. Our guide was very nice and knowledgeable. The underground river and cave areas were very unique. The only downside (and why I didn’t give a full 5 stars) is that no cameras are allowed, and the photo package they sell is quite expensive. It’s a bit disappointing since you want to capture those memories, but it still doesn’t take away from how incredible the place is overall. The meal at the end was delicious too. Definitely worth visiting!
Sam M — Google review
I loved visiting the Rio Secreto. Our tour guide, Ana was very knowledgeable and very helpful. She took a member of my party through the caves that was afraid to swim, giving her and us the experience of a lifetime. The cave itself is a fantastic journey. You wade, walk and swim through beautiful limestone caverns. We bought the picture package to remember the experience and it was worth it. A professional photographer followed us through and took several amazing action shots. I would love to visit Rio Secreto again, and try one of the other packages.

A hidden gem. This experience is a life-changing event. The natural wonder that is this cave and underground river are demonstrated beautifully by the wonderful team of tour guides, staff, and photographers. Shout out to Pato our photographer for taking his time to curate perfect romantic pictures of me and my wife. He truly went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. The beauty of the cave leaves one speechless. I can not put together enough adjectives to describe how mesmerizing. 11/10 recommend.

This was an amazing journey through the underground river system. We waded, walked, and swam through the cool, very clear water. The cave is beautiful, and we've toured many caves in North America. We loved our guide, Alfredo! He made our day even better. He's friendly and super knowledgeable. We were the first group of the day through the cave, so everything was undisturbed. I opted for a wetsuit - not sure that I really needed it, but I didn't get hot wearing it. Lunch was great!! Alfredo told us that the pork was fantastic, and he was right! The lime dessert was pretty YUM too! We also did the ziplines and rappel, both of which we've done numerous times - so no big thrill, but we had fun yelling our favorite foods. So glad Alfredo joined right in with our crazy group. Everyone we met in the park (lunch/store/check-in/drivers.....) was friendly and welcoming. I did 4 stars instead of 5 just because the photos are so expensive and you cannot bring your own camera. I understand why, but please make the photos more affordable so that everyone can save these memories forever. I had called to ask a few questions before booking and was told that the photos would be between $20 - $100, but after reading some reviews, I expected $120 - $130 for groups. Ours were $150. None were great, but they were good and we did get a lot.

Rio Secreto was hands down the highlight of my trip to Mexico! It’s honestly one of the most beautiful and surreal places I’ve ever seen. Walking and swimming through the crystal clear caves felt otherworldly. Our guide Gustavo was amazing, funny, patient, and made the experience feel really special. The photographs turned out fantastic I will just share a couple here. If you do one excursion while you’re in Mexico, make it this one. You won’t regret it.

This is a must-do adventure. We had the opportunity to do this as an excursion on MSC, and it was absolutely worth the money. The tour guides were hilarious, Sophia told us that the 30 minute drive on the unpaved road was our "Mayan Massage." When we got to the changing area, they gave us free lockers to hold all of our belongings. They gave us 2mm shorty wetsuits to wear, durable water shoes, and a helmet with a light. Everything seemed clean and sanitized. (You WANT to wear the wetsuit. The water in only 70 degrees, so even with the wetsuit, I was shivering by 1.25 hours.) Take the stick they provide. They say it's for people with mobility issues, but even I could have used it. The walk to the cave was beautiful. We got to participate in a Mayan ritual to bless our entrance to the cave. Very moving and enjoyable. Hugo was our tour guide. He was very friendly, very educated about the formations and caving, and strong enough to help us up, over, or onto difficult parts of the path. My favorite part was swimming in the crystal clear water with all the beautiful formations above us. My next favorite was when we were in a super deep area and Hugo had us all turn out our headlamps. It was pitch black!! Then, he said, "who wants to play the best game of marco-polo ever?!" We all cracked up!! The pictures are expensive, but worth it. I never could have taken those pictures myself. Hugo used his fancy flashlight to light the water and the photographer had a special flash. I'm very grateful the photographer was there. My legs were very sore the next day. (crouching down to walk through tiny tunnels and taking huge steps up and across formations.) And I had an impressive bruise from slipping in one spot. This is NOT for people with mobility issues.

Centro Maya is a vibrant enclosed mall in Playa del Carmen, featuring a diverse range of stores and a colorful interior adorned with faux palm trees. The mall is conveniently located near the bridges, making it easily accessible for residents and visitors alike. It houses popular retailers such as Sam's Club, City Club, Soriana supermarket, and a movie theater. Centro Maya also offers pet-friendly services and establishments, making it a favorite destination for pet owners.
Excellent SuperMarket Mall. Love the parking Lot, also City Market in There. Simple good!

It's a good mall. Nothing fancy or special. Big enough but too many banks and nail salons. There is a movie theater with outdated technology. It's a reasonable mall.
Kyle — Google review
This mall has some great stores and shopping options, but I’m honestly so frustrated with the restroom situation. Every single time I visit, there’s either no toilet paper, no hand soap, or both. This last time, my daughter had to go and—surprise—still no toilet paper, but hey, at least this time there was watered down soap. I guess I should be thankful? It’s honestly unacceptable that a mall with this much foot traffic can’t maintain basic hygiene in their restrooms. It’s not just inconvenient—it’s gross. If you’re coming here, I highly recommend bringing your own toilet paper, especially if you have kids. Or better yet, just head over to Plaza de las Americas Mall, where their restrooms are usually clean and stocked. Come for the shopping, but definitely don’t come unprepared.

Clean and very spacious. You can buy all kinds in the mall. You will not find any special souvenirs here, but many cheap little things. Most sellers speak only in Spanish, but are still very helpful. They pay special attention to hygiene.

Very upset, I make a Canadian traveling here and I went there for glasses and they told me maximum 2 weeks, 2 weeks is tomorrow and I'm leaving, I know they say 2 weeks, but I was not expecting them to take exactly 2 weeks, and I called him every day for 3 days if they could accommodate me because I'm leaving and no... and forgot to mention that the charge me 7000 pesos for only the glasses without frame.

Parque Los Fundadores, also known as Founding Fathers Park, is a vibrant seaside park in Playa del Carmen that serves as a meeting point for tourists and locals. The park features traditional Mayan dance performances and cultural shows every afternoon, showcasing the rich Mexican and Mayan heritage. It is home to the famous Mayan Portal, symbolizing the new cycle predicted by the Mayas in their calendar.
Parque de Fundadores is a must-visit when you’re in Playa del Carmen! It’s a great spot to chill, surrounded by shops, bars, and restaurants, and it’s right by the ferry to Cozumel. The vibe here is lively, with street performers, live music, and a beautiful beachfront view. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend setting aside time to visit Cozumel—it has some of the prettiest, clearest beaches, way less crowded than Playa del Carmen. Whether you’re shopping, grabbing a drink, or just soaking in the atmosphere, this spot needs to be on your Playa del Carmen itinerary!

Good spot to hang out after walking 5th Ave. Lots of places to eat around the area. Good place to meet locals and tourists. Busy during the sunset time's.

For my first time visiting this place I was very disappointed. Bathrooms were very dirty. Streets were dirty. It was very busy a lot of locals & tourists. The locals didn’t seem very pleasant at stores or parking lots. The beach wasn’t as clean as I thought it would be. The only pleasant part of this area was the shopping mall . It was nice and bathroom were cleaner. I don’t think I will visit this place again or recommend it to my friends.

A Picture-Perfect Location with a Touch of Culture If you're looking for a picturesque spot in Playa del Carmen, Parque los Fundadores is a must-visit. The beach offers stunning views with its turquoise crystalline waters—perfect for snapping those Instagram-worthy photos. Whether you’re just strolling along the shore or lounging in the sand, the beauty of the place will leave you in awe. In the late afternoon and evening, you can also enjoy a cultural experience with native Mexican shows. It adds a unique touch to the already relaxing atmosphere, combining natural beauty with local traditions. Whether you're there to capture memories or to soak in some authentic culture, Parque los Fundadores delivers on both fronts.

The beach is being raked and kept clean daily of sargasso. There are regular short enactments here around the arch for everyone to enjoy. This is also an easy access point to the public beach areas.

I recently visited Parque Los Fundadores in Playa del Carmen, and I was impressed by this beautiful park. Beautiful Grounds: The park's lush gardens, walking paths, and tranquil atmosphere make it a perfect spot to relax and unwind. Not to mention the beautiful beach!! Volleyball nets are an another way to spend the day there. Nuestra Senora del Carmen Church is used for many wedding and church services. On Sundays you will see a line of people out of the church. It is a pretty iconic building in Playa with the clear blue ocean in the background Iconic Arch: The park's iconic arch, a replica of the original entrance to Playa del Carmen. It’s named Portal Maya 2012 m, It celebrates the Mayan calendar. The sculpture was designed by artist Arturo Taravez who is from Guanajuato, Mexico. The sculpture is 16 meters high or about 52 feet high and its truly is a great spot for photos. Cultural Events: The park often hosts cultural events, concerts, and festivals, which showcase the local community's vibrant spirit. We were able to watch the Danza de los Voladores and the humul dancers both shows were beautiful! Amenities Restrooms: Clean and well-maintained restrooms are available throughout the park. Food and Drink: Various food and drink vendors are available, offering a range of local cuisine and refreshments. Plus you’re on Quinta Avenida and it’s full of restaurants and quick grab and go places. Seating: Plenty of benches and seating areas are available, making it easy to take a break and enjoy the surroundings. But watch your step! Tips and Recommendations: Visit in the Evening: The park takes on a magical atmosphere in the evening, with beautiful lighting and live music. They have lots of entertainment in the evenings. It’s quite lively!! Bring a Camera: The park's scenic views, iconic arch, and cultural events make it a photographer's paradise. Check the Events Calendar: Plan your visit around cultural events, concerts, or festivals to experience the atmosphere! Parque Los Fundador- is a must-visit destination in Playa del Carmen.

Seafood restaurant
La Tarraya is a long-standing beachfront restaurant in Playa del Carmen, dating back to the 1970s. It offers a simple menu featuring breaded catch of the day, tacos, and lobster in season. The restaurant's nautical-themed decor adds to its charm, and it is known for serving amazingly fresh seafood daily.
Old-School Playa Vibes with Next-Level Seafood If you’re chasing that real Playa del Carmen feel, this beachfront spot is the one. It’s not a flashy tourist trap. It’s one of the original local restaurants, part of Playa’s roots, and it’s still delivering everything you want in a laid-back beachside meal. The setting is casual, rustic, and relaxed in the best way possible. No pretense. You’ve got a distant view of Cozumel on the horizon, sea breeze in your face, and a mix of locals and travelers just enjoying life. It feels like a place that matters to the community. Now, let’s talk food. Some of the best seafood I’ve had anywhere in Playa. And the prices are wild in the best way. If you’ve never had Aguachile, this is the spot to try it. Refreshing, and simply unforgettable. Also highly recommend the fried Boquinete. It’s a whole fish and, yeah, it looks intense (it's head on and has a mean looking grill), but the flavor makes it worth it. First time I’ve ever enjoyed a fried fish like that, and now I’m into it. The margaritas deserve their own paragraph. However, i'll keep it short and sweet. They hit hard and make no apologies. Big flavor and plenty of tequila. You’ve been warned. After your meal, walk over to Calle 2 and then drift into Quinta Avenida. Perfect way to walk off the food. Grab a gelato, sip something else, or just explore the shops and street energy. This was our second time eating here. It will not be the last. It’s now a permanent stop on our Playa itinerary. One quick note. Yes, you might get approached by vendors while you eat. It happens at spots like this. Just be polite. A simple “no gracias” is all it takes, and they move along. They’re just out here trying to make a living. Bottom line: put this place on your list. No excuses. Go hungry, go open-minded, and go enjoy a side of Playa that still feels real.

overprice poorly serve dishes. Horrible service. Run down place. warm drinks, for the beer we had to ask for ice. the ceviche is not what many shows in pictures. The breaded fish was so thin that we had to remove the bread in order to taste the fish. rice was cold and the salad was just lettuce with no dressing. if you want fries with your burger you have to order them at 100 pesos for a very small amount. overprice horrible menu.

Location is really nice on the beach. The atmosphere is destroyed by a steady stream of very bad bands playing their setsp for a tip. Service is "fine". Not overly friendly but that's understandable with all the tourists around. The food is not good. Stick to the drinks and the guacamole.

overall good food in front of the beach. Reasonable priced. The veracruz fish was good.

Sat down and had a lovely view of the beach, thereby managed to avoid being extorted for a deckchair. Drinks and food were reasonably priced (although came with a hidden 16% VAT) and came with a rather large complimentary bowl of tortilla chips. Our server was friendly enough and we waited a reasonable amount of time for food/drinks. A fair few street vendors came round the tables but left without hassle after a polite "no thank you".

This place is awesome! Quality meets an awesome price and location. I've been here many times and compare it with other places. Some rewies complain about the waiting time. Yeah then go to MC Donald's. Fresh food needs time to be prepared. You will enjoy fresh seafood directly at the beach. Don't miss the special dishes on weekends. My favorite seafood place in Mexico :)

WoW! I loved this place. Drinks are amazingly great. We ordered drinks a bunch of times. We also ordered Tortilla and Guacamole as appetizer and fried fish as main course and they were wonderfully tasty. I can say this dinner was the most tasteful dish that I had in Mexico. Nestled in the heart of Playa del Carmen, Harry's Steakhouse & Raw Bar is a culinary gem that exudes sophistication with its chic glass-fronted dining area and elegant wooden decor. This upscale establishment offers a diverse menu featuring everything from tacos to salads, but it truly shines when it comes to its raw bar and prime steaks. Guests can indulge in exquisite cuts like Akaushi Kobe and Australian Black Onyx, all complemented by an impressive selection of wines that elevate the dining experience.
Came here for my birthday and genuinely one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. It felt so luxurious and the staff was so sweet especially Miguel and Jessica. I love them so much and truly so grateful for their service in time! There was a few other waitresses that helped me and I forget their name at the moment, but they as well were amazing!! I can’t wait to go back soon

I am from colorado and was hoping for some happy hour oysters. No happy hour, unfortunately. I sat at the bar- I was the only patron in the establishment- I order a half dozen oysters and they were Large (not my favorite) and super fishy. Never would have said a word but SILVER the manager came to ask me how they were. I told him not my favorite. He insisted that he replace it for something else. I ordered the wagyu beef you cook on a stone and it was AMAZING. It was absolutely delicious. He mad my two bartenders- one was Alex- and the original cute kid as well- made sure they went ABOVE and beyond w their attention to making my experience SUPERB. Then- Silver wouldn’t stop just there- brought me this aesthetically wowzie-ing cotton candy. I was beyond impressed and felt like they made sure I wasn’t walking away in any way but awestruck. Starting as a mediocre dining to memorable and me wanting to shout from the rooftops w my delight. Thank you to all that made this memory for me! ❤️🙏 Lastly- this was one of 3 dining experiences I had in Playa del Carmen by the restaurant group- all phenomenal.

This is the second time I come here for my anniversary and this time I was attended by Silver and Jehovany! They are one of the most attentive people I have ever met in a restaurant setting. I ordered a Wagyu filet steak, mashed potatoes, and we got champagne on the house. Bellies were happy and full, i’d recommend this place to anyone looking to celebrate a special dinner or just looking for great food + experience☺️

Highly recommend if you're looking for a special occasion dinner in the heart or Playa Del Carmen on 5th Ave. Really a classic American style steakhouse, with all the service and menu items that you would expect. We started with cocktails and the HAMACHI SASHIMI, Tamarind ponzu, crispy onions, and radish. The crispy onion was a different twist that added texture and flavor to the Hamachi. For the drinks I ordered the LYCHEE MARGARITA with Don Julio blanco. I asked for a TAJÍN rim - which is a spicy and flavorful option vs. the traditional salt rim. Good balance of booze and flavor (I dislike weak or sweet margaritas) My wife enjoyed her classic Martini. Dinner - We order their JACK'S CREEK RIB EYE 14 oz, served with truffle jus. The cook on the steak was perfect. Quality of the steak was average at best for $70 (this was the "cheapest" cut from their Ozzie selection). I'd step it up next time we come back to one of their higher end steaks. For our side I ordered it off the appetizer menu - GOLDEN ROCA CAULIFLOWER. Tempura, vegan Sriracha, mayonnaise, and herbs. To be honest the tempura was a miss and not very light or crispy. Not sure if the dish rested too long or what. The cook on the cauliflower saved it being al dente. I've had much better versions of this same dish. For my birthday they gave us a piece of chocolate cake with sparkler which was a nice touch. Plus, to end the meal a large cotton candy which everyone gets, your Instagram moment! Also, had an expresso Martina with dessert which is always a good choice! Ha! We had 3 glasses or their Cab selection from Baja California and enjoyed it. Total meal cost was about $200 USD or $250 with our tip. Top service and nice atmosphere for one of your best nights out in Playa.

I had an amazing experience at this steakhouse. The food was good, but what really made the visit special was the excellent service from our waiter, Elizar. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and professional. He made great recommendations and ensured we had everything we needed throughout the meal. His positive attitude and attention to detail truly elevated our dining experience. Highly recommend — thank you, Elizar, for such outstanding service!

Lonchería Los Machacados is a traditional Mexican restaurant in Playa del Carmen, known for serving antojitos yucatecos, such as the popular salbutes and refreshing machacados. The menu includes delicious options like panuchos and empanadas at very reasonable prices. This friendly eatery opens at 5pm and offers a variety of frozen drinks, including the quintessential machacado from Quintana Roo.
I can only say something about the Machacados that the got there because that was all we ordered. Thos were fantastic and something that I never experienced before. Many others were eating proper meals and they looked tasty as well. All while offering really cheap prices and a nice service. The flair is definetly local and rather basic though.
Starfrighter — Google review
Out of everything I tried here, my favorites were the Salbutes and the corn-flavored “machacado” (shaved ice). Delicious and inexpensive traditional local food; think I spent no more than $50 USD on the whole bill (6 adults). Don’t be a ****, tip well. If you’re heading here from the touristy side in the evening, I’d recommend going in a taxi. Playa del Carmen felt very safe overall, but the walk could feel sketchy to some.

We went on a mild temperature night, but the place was hot! The kitchen radiates heat to the whole place and you will be hot for your entire visit. The prices seem a little high for a place where locals dine, but the portions are big. There’s nothing extraordinary to say about the flavors. We had tortas, salbutes, empanadas and machacados; the salbutes were the highlight. The service is poor, the business appears to by ran family and for whatever reason they don’t seem happy to be there and their service reflects that. Maybe the heat in that place? I would not come back, nor recommend this place.

Plaza Las Américas is one of the largest malls in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. It offers a variety of amenities including a movie theater, food court, grocery store, and department stores. The mall is popular among locals for weekend outings and social gatherings. While tourists often prefer shopping on Quinta Avenida, Plaza Las Américas provides an air-conditioned and modern indoor space with affordable dining options in its food courts.
Love plaza de las Américas and my favorite is the movies at Cinépolis. Just be early if you come on the weekends as it get really busy!

We love visiting this plaza which you can get to by colectivo so it is not too much out of the way if you are staying Centro like we are. It’s a good destination spot because of the large selection of shops, most brand name but some local, and the great food selection. There is also a cinema and a chedraui so with all the choices you can make a day of it and grab some groceries on the way home . I would avoid coming on a public holiday. We made that mistake and there were lineups at the cinema like I’ve never seen and you had to wait for a table in the food court.

It’s and enjoyable space with lots of food, entertainment, and shopping options for families. Having a grocery store inside makes it so easy to spend the day getting things you may want and also need for home. Several ATM’s are inside and you have multiple transportation options just outside to get back to wherever you started. The heat inside is the only drawback. If not inside a department store, the rest of the areas are pretty steamy with the humidity.

Restaurant
Alux Restaurant Bar and Lounge in Playa del Carmen, Mexico offers a unique dining experience set within a vast underground cave. The restaurant's name pays homage to the Maya legend of the alux, mischievous creatures believed to inhabit such spaces. Descending down a flight of stairs into this subterranean chamber feels like entering another world, with enchanting lighting, luxurious decor, and natural formations surrounding diners as they enjoy contemporary Mexican cuisine.
Alux is a must visit if you are in the Playa del Carmen area. From the atmosphere to the food to the drinks. Everything was perfect. Fabio was our server and he was excellent. He introduced himself and shared the history of not only Alux but the cenote itself. He explained the menu in detail and made it excellent recommendations. We had the tacos Del Alux and the sustainable catch of the day (which was red snapper, delicious) We had multiple drinks, all were delicious as well. The food and service was the best I’ve had and combine that with the atmosphere of being in a cave system…its was amazing.
Katie G — Google review
We had a very nice evening at Alux, in a stunning setting. What’s a pity is that they talk about preserving and protecting the cenote, yet they use cement in a completely wrong color to try and mask the cables. For starters, we had grilled oysters and homemade bread. The bread was tasty, but the oysters were covered in a BBQ sauce that completely overpowered the natural oyster flavor. For mains, we tried the risotto with shrimp, which was good, and the Sterling Silver beef filet, which was tender but lacked flavor in the meat itself. Dessert was the duo chocolaté, unfortunately not very good. Our waiter Favio was excellent throughout the evening. He commercially suggested preparing a tasting of “Mexican water” for us, which turned out to cost around 700 pesos on the bill. We had no problem at all with the bill itself, only with the way it was presented at the end. When the bill came, an arrogant woman insisted on explaining it. She came across as very offensive, without any reason. All in all, it was a lovely and tasty evening with an unpleasant ending. Still, thank you — but please let Favio handle the checkout.
Henri K — Google review
The setting is quite nice but even though they had air conditioning and fans it was still really hot and humid inside. It was also very smokey. We got there at 7 and the service was excellent. But as the night went on and it got more busy it was REALLY SLOW. We noticed there were only two waiters in our section covering 9 tables! And there were 2 large parties. I also felt like the rushed out appetizer, like I was still eating my appetizer when our main entree came out. Anyways, I got the steak and it was great. It was extremely tender and flavorful. My partner got the catch of the day risotto and it was also very good. I don’t think you can go wrong with the food here, especially with the prices you can expect it to be good. For an appetizer we go the homemade bread that came with two butters, crickets, and salt. I honestly don’t think it was worth it. Nothing special.

What an amazing experience! We think that our waiter may have been new or didn't understand English very well. We wanted to have a relaxing drink then order our oysters to share but they arrived almost immediately and two orders came instead of one. We declined the second one. Alux (Aloosh) is pricey but so worth it. The food was incredible and the restaurant stunning! We even saw a bat fly by.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is totally unique! Descending into a system of caves felt quite magical, although one of my friends has some mobility challenges and I really wished there was at least a handrail on the dozens of stairs. You’re allowed to wander around the restaurant, and it’s astonishing how immense it is—many tunnels and private spaces and cozy corners, all beautifully lit. I passed by a couple in a private grotto getting a private concert from a jazz saxophonist. Watch your head as you explore! The food was fantastic, and I very much enjoyed the tacos with strips of steak. Out group of 5 shared the chocolate mousse and bananas foster and were delighted by both. A few disappointments that reduced my rating on the service: • No paper menus were available. The atmosphere is so high end, having to be on our phones felt tacky and not how we wanted to show up for a night together. • We had a hard time understanding our waiter, and he us. This resulted in a mix-up for one of our orders, and even though that dish was delicious, the manager didn’t offer even a small gesture to make up for the mistake. • The lack of forethought for accessibility. And elevator might be difficult to install, but at least a handrail could be there. (And there are lift devices that can be installed on those. There were some steps throughout the caverns that could easily be made into ramps instead.

Alux in Playa del Carmen completely blew me away. The food was absolutely amazing — every bite was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The drinks were perfectly balanced and so creative. The service was hands-down the best I’ve ever received; every staff member made us feel genuinely cared for. And the atmosphere? Breathtaking! Dining inside a cave surrounded by soft lights and natural beauty felt like something out of a dream. If you’re in Playa del Carmen, this is a must-visit restaurant. I can’t recommend it enough!

This is nice place to visit, great atmosphere, ambiance, etc. However, if you're looking to get normal portion size dishes, eat a little something before you come. They recommend you get appetizers, because the entrées are small. The cost is ok, but if you're looking for typical Mexican for portions this is not the place for you. It's a great place to say, "yes, I've been there."

The café provides a charming and warm atmosphere, making it the perfect place to enjoy an authentic French experience.
Food was great. Everything tasted fresh and that may have cured my hangover and reset me for another day of imbibing. We had a big group and they were able to accommodate us pretty quickly. We had outside seating and you can easily people watch in the busy street. While waiting you can do some bird watching on the big tree outside. Looking forward to returning and trying some of the other dishes.

We loved our breakfast here. We did have to wait about 20 minutes for our table, but it was totally worth it. The patio is big and nice to sit in, with many fans and trees around and with beautiful French songs playing. Our waitress Paulina was amazing! Even with all the customers, the heat, the running around and all, she kept a smile and a great attitude. We loved her too!! The food was very very good. And the price surprised us, being way less than we expected. All in all, a great place for breakfast. Highly recommended.

Food and drinks were outstanding! Quality ingredients and fresh. We had the vegan bread with homemade jam and butter, the mushroom croissant with eggs and French goat cheese. Drinks we had the immune booster juice, iced mocha cafe, pineapple water, and chai…all delicious! The immune booster and pineapple water came out with a frothy top which added a little something. Daniel, our server, was lovely and attentive. Highly recommend and will be back again

Chez Celine...the ultimate breakfast experience! Vegan sandwiches with fresh baguettes, fresh fruit drinks, fresh fruits, you really cannot go wrong with this favorite, and one of the few left on 5th avenue worth spending your money at. If you have not had it ...go. Continental Plus with OJ and cappuccino is beautiful ❤️ I have been having breakfast here since it was $8 with tip for TWO. It is still a top ten restaurant in Playa del Carmen for good reasons! And the desserts... AMAZING 😍

Food was well made! I got an Americano with sweets, and they were all great! Main course was a ratatouille omelet, and there was so much flavor. My wife got the French toast, and it was so rich. Thank you to the restaurant for a great experience!

This bakery-restaurant is a very popular place for breakfast, brunch and take out pastries. Located in the center of Playa del Carmen. It offers a large menu of healthy food and usual breakfast options. The pastries and bread are excellent and the prices are reasonable. We had le croque madame and the vegetables omelette with mushrooms and caramelized onions, it was very good. Our waitress, Maira was absolutely amazing, professional and attentive. She was very helpful and friendly also she spoke English very well. Great place to start the day, close to the beach. I recommend it!

Super cute spot! I had the dulce de leche crepes and the green juice and both were so good. Loved the vibe - so much green and shady trees.

What a lovely place! I just had some chicken wings with a spice mango sauce that were delicious; accompanied by a couple whisky sours, also delicious. Varied menu and, from what I could see on other people's plates & faces, great tasting. Prices are more than reasonable, in fact, coming from the UK, the prices are really cheap. The staff are very pleasant although a little slow but, overall, a wonderful experience.

India Jones is a new addition to the vibrant dining scene at the corner of 5th Avenue and Calle 30 in Playa del Carmen. The restaurant offers a menu that showcases the essence of Indian culinary heritage, featuring an array of traditional dishes. Guests praise the warm hospitality of the charming owners, Jorge and Antonio, who provide excellent service and recommendations.
If you're looking for incredible Indian food in the Playa del Carmen area, this place is absolute bliss! They offer thoughtfully crafted, delectable meals that are presented beautifully. It was such a pleasant surprise to find such amazing Indian food so far from home! The restaurant also has a lovely ambiance with beautiful rattan chairs and paintings. Do try the lamb curry and dohra khumb while you're there! Service was stellar. Thank you for making our night memorable!

Our first time in Playa Del Carmen and wanted to eat somewhere other than the resort we were staying at. I searched restaurants nearby and found India Jones. My husband and I love Indian food and have tried it pretty much everywhere we travel to. This was one of the best Indian restaurants we have eaten at. The staff were very friendly. Pablo, our waiter was awesome. The owner greeted us when we arrived and even came over and chatted with us about the history of the restaurant and the menu. If we come back to Playa again we will definitely be back for another meal.

I moved to Playa six months ago and I loved the creativity of the name India Jones. What I would come to realize though is that this is a really special place in the city. The restaurant exudes warmth and friendliness. Sanat and his team are absolutely amazing. And the food… well it is simply amazing every time. I chose India Jones for my last meal as I am heading back to the US and it impressed as always.

This restaurant was recommended highly by locals and we tried it and were so impressed! Definitely our go-to for Indian cuisine in Playa Del Carmen! Shout out to our fantastic waiter Cesar! The interior of the restaurant is sublime, the atmosphere was divine. We sat inside for the cool air or you can eat on the balcony overlooking 5th avenue. The menu was substantial and the execution of ordering and having a thoughtful waiter was amazing! We placed our order for apps and entrees at the same time and Cesar assured us the meals would arrive after the apps. The food was amazing amazing! If I could have eaten more I would have ordered desert. Next time for sure!

We first walked into this place because the name was so clever. 😂 And now, we have been to India Jones twice in 2 years, and it totally hit the desi-urge-to-have-desi-food-spot each time. Everything we’ve tried has been so flavorful. Service is great too, and folks working there including the owners are lovely and welcoming. Great cocktails too. Definitely making this restaurant a must-visit on any future trips to Playa Del Carmen!

India Jones absolutely nails the balance between modern creativity and timeless Indian flavors. This spot serves up elevated takes on the classics—like the deconstructed Samosa Chaat, which somehow manages to be playful, nostalgic, and crave-worthy all at once. The lamb shank was fall-off-the-bone tender and bursting with rich, layered spices, and the butter chicken? Pure comfort in a bowl—creamy, bold, and ridiculously good. Every bite with that fresh, fluffy naan was packed with flavor. Service here is truly top-tier—attentive without being overbearing, and clearly passionate about the food. The restaurant itself has a cool, modern vibe with just enough old-school charm to ground the whole experience. India Jones is firing on all cylinders—definitely a must-visit for anyone who loves Indian food.

The food was so delicious I've been craving Indian since moving to Playa del Carmen and this hit the spot. It was a super busy night and despite having reservations we waited in the entryway for a while before someone acknowledged us. The food was also very expensive, especially for Playa. I paid the equivalent of $70 USD for two veggie plates, naan and an alcoholic drink. That's much more than I would pay for even an Indian place in the US

While in Playa Del Carmen, after consuming a succession of tacos and Mexican dishes, my craving for Indian cuisine became unbearable. We subsequently stumbled upon this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised to discover that the owners originated from my hometown of Bombay. Our order consisted of the chicken tikka trio, which far exceeded our expectations. The dish comprised generous portions of boneless chicken breast, skillfully prepared in three distinct styles, accompanied by a serving of green chutney that effortlessly melted in our mouths. The chicken was cooked to perfection in the tandoor, boasting exceptional tenderness. Furthermore, we opted for the beef short ribs, tandoori fish tikka, and felt obliged to sample the butter chicken, paired with garlic butter naan. Each dish we tried was truly exceptional, motivating us to return the following night. As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of Indian cuisine, I can confidently assert that this establishment satisfies all my criteria. The service was remarkably efficient and amicable. This restaurant offers authentic Indian cuisine that rivals the most esteemed establishments in India, a claim substantiated by my extensive travels throughout the country in pursuit of gastronomic excellence. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Cancun, awarding it a well-deserved five-star rating. We will undoubtedly return.

"Oh lala! International Cuisine by George" is a charming restaurant that offers a blend of Spanish classics and innovative dishes in a relaxed setting with a terrace. Inspired by Chef Georges' travels, the menu combines French gastronomy with Mediterranean influences, resulting in a diverse selection of high-quality dishes. With only nine tables, the restaurant provides intimate dining experiences with personalized service from the owners themselves. The menu features steak, seafood, and classic Asian favorites like Penang curry.
We felt a bit rushed, the maitre d said we were late for our reservation and pushed us to order quickly. We thought we were early. It is a small restaurant and expensive so confirm your time so you don't feel rushed through a expensive meal. Despite the miscommunication, our meal was excellent. The food and flavors are unlike anything else I have had around Playa. French cuisine here is top notch, everything we had was fresh and flavorful. I would highly recommend it. Call the restaurant directly to make reservations, the booking sites like open table are not accurate and have no availability. Outside seating was very pleasant and you can watch the kitchen preparing food through the window. It's not the most luxurious location, but the food is definitely worth going.

We have had the pleasure of a friend of ours introduce us to this restaurant and we wish we can try the whole menu. This place is as good as the high end restaurants we have been around Canada and USA. The wait staff service level, the quality of the ingredients, and atmosphere are as well executed as the high quality restaurants. The complex flavours, the presentation, the service all are worth the price tag: - Oh lala passion! and the lychee martini: 5/5* boozy and so retain the fruitiness. - foie gras: 4.5/5* rich flavours and well plated. Just wish there is a bit more on the portion. - figs salad: 4/5* nice salad. Large chunks of brie. - lemon-garlic shrimp & scallops skewers: 4.5/5* decent sized shrimp and scallop, flavours balanced. - Filete mignon red wine sauce: 5/5* the meat was of quality and was cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. The mashed potatoes, vegetables were done well. Simple yet effective. - Sea bass provencal: 5/5* presentation was so nice and well seasoned. For a fish lover like myself, I love the crispy skin while the fish retained its tenderness. Perfectly executed. Overall, we really enjoyed our dining experience here. Highly recommend trying their breakfast and lunch menu as well!

We had such a spectacular lunch last week at Madison Oh lala. The service is definitely way more professional than other PDC restaurants, for example, replacing a napkin accidentally dropped, even without saying a word to the staff. Prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable. I had the Niçoise salad, which was perfect with fresh, seared tuna, warm seasoned baby potatoes, small black olives that pack a punch of flavor. All the ingredients perfectly seasoned and at the freshest temperature. We had some cocktails, which were great. And the Crêpes Suzette were perfect with layers of fresh orange ingredients—delicious! We highly recommend Madison Oh lala. Finally, a lunch spot with air conditioning, beautiful ambiance, excellent menu and the best service.

What an amazing spot in Playa del Carmen! It’s definitely one of the best restaurants in the area. The lychee martini was on a different level — very well-balanced and tasty. I’ve tried lychee martinis in more than 50 different restaurants, and the one at Maison is by far the best I’ve had. They treated me to a delicious complimentary flatbread with goat cheese. I ordered the Spanish garlic shrimp, which was tasty, and finished with an incredible preparation of octopus — it tasted amazing. I don’t usually write reviews, but this place truly deserves it! The service from Cielo, a very kind and attentive lady, was fantastic. What a pleasant experience. I will definitely come back!

Came here with my partner for my birthday dinner. In summary, the food and service were fantastic. Alex served us tonight and he was so kind, and I greatly enjoyed our brief conversations about Playa, Mexican culture, and food in general. We ordered the scallop appetizer, salad, filet mignon with red wine sauce, beef tenderloin, and the Thai curry. My favorite dish was the scallops - perfectly cooked, excellent flavors, and beautiful presentation. The filet mignon was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and also had an amazing char. Everything was delicious and Alex welcomed us so warmly, and I’m very happy that my partner and I came here to celebrate my birthday. I would love to come back and 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone in Playa del Carmen!

Mexican restaurant
Nativo is a popular restaurant and juice bar with three different locations in Playa. Known for its thatched palapa roof and colorful sign, it offers a variety of breakfast options including omelettes, chilaquiles verdes, fruit smoothies, fresh fruit plates, and homemade classics. The restaurant is famous for its refreshing fruit juices and jumbo smoothies at affordable prices. One of their popular juice blends is the Alma Grande made from chaya, pineapple, and orange.
The place is great! I've visited with Mexican friends as a very large group (10 people) and with non-Mexican friends and in all cases the service was great. Juices are awesome, I tried so many and enjoyed each one. Food is tasty and the selection is good. Prices are nice. Atmosphere is fun - they have tables inside and few meters to the left - outside garden ( with fans to keep you cool). They also have "to go" option, they split the bill and accept cards and cash. I totally recommend this place.

Excellent value. Authentic Mexican food. The amount of food you get is more than expected. Be careful when ordering. A soup and a sandwich is a massive amount to eat. The smoothies are excellent! Mostly locals in this restaurant and very little English spoken (English menu is available). They have a seafood restaurant next door but we didn't try it.

Excellent price and quality. There are two restaurants, nearly next door to each other that belong to the same owner. We went to the fish restaurant. The best shrimp tacos in Playa del Carmen! My tip are the tacos gubornator: shrimp tacos without the breading. The octopus was also super fresh and very well prepared. Gary was especially friendly, speaks fluent English and was extremely helpful. Thank you, Gary.

Seafood restaurant
Las Hijas de la Tostada is a contemporary seafood bar with playful turquoise interiors that offers modern and fun seafood dishes like tuna tataki, shrimp tartar, and grilled octopus. The star of the show is the tostada, a toasted tortilla topped with various seafood options. The restaurant also provides air conditioning and quick service. Customers praise the fresh and excellent food as well as the 2x1 drink offer.
Everything was fresh and EXCELLENT. Just be aware that the sign outside lists the restaurant in its original Spanish name “Las Hijas De La Tostadas” so do not look for a sign that says “The Daughters Of The Tostada” Air conditioning was nice. Food came out super quick, I was actually in shock. Drinks were delicious and were 2x1. Everything was great! We came on a Wednesday night for dinner.

I believe this is a wonderful place for drinks and food, but unfortunately, the way it is managed leaves much to be desired. We are frequent visitors because the food here is exceptional. However, today’s experience was disappointing due to one issue: the music. It appeared that the bartender was also acting as the DJ, and the only genre being played outside was cumbia. We kindly requested a change in the music, but the response we received was that the selection was “very versatile.” Despite this, the music remained entirely within the same genre, making it clear that our feedback was either misunderstood or dismissed. As loyal customers who enjoy this establishment, it is disheartening to feel that our input was not valued. I hope this feedback is taken constructively to enhance the experience for all patrons in the future.

Food was below average but eatable. Many better places to have mariscos and tostadas in PDC at a more fair price. But the service was terrible. Asked three times for a sparkling water and twice for a fork. Never got the fork. Nor a smile for that sake.

Kool Beach Club is a popular beach club located between Coco Beach and the Cozumel ferry terminal in Playa del Carmen. It offers a welcoming and clean environment with attentive staff, lounge chairs, umbrellas, a swimming pool, international dishes and cocktails, and a DJ. Guests can enjoy the white sand beach and turquoise blue Caribbean Sea.
Very solid beach club in Playa. My boyfriend and I were looking for a relaxing environment and for the most part Kool delivered. There are other party oriented beach clubs in the area and we were looking to avoid that, so if that’s what you’re looking for it might not be the best option for you. The service here was great and we had no problem hitting the 500 peso minimum per person with a couple drinks and a lunch. The seafood ceviche was great and the guacamole portion was very generous. We weren’t huge fans of the spicy piña colada, but the staff was really nice about bringing over a free replacement. The only complaints we had was there were a lot of people smoking cigarettes and the music was playing a little loudly for our taste (also one speaker kept cutting in and out) but nothing too annoying.
Rachel E — Google review
Very chill, laid back vibe beach club and not the usual party crowd. The entrance fee of 750 pesos covers the bed and umbrella and will go as a credit towards your food and drinks. You can also rent a towel for 200 and get it back when you return it. Pro: Very chill and relaxing, no loud music. The beds are very well maintained. Location of the beach is also good. Cons: Service is very slow. The food is just average. The drinks are not premium. I was seated on the front row but that turned out be the worst since the crowds and sellers are not letting you relax. If you want to relax and not to listen to the techno music and don't care about food then this is the place for you.

We had a great time spending the day here. You pay for a chair, where you can choose from specific zones for different prices. Essentially closer to the beach, or a better chair, is more expensive. We paid 990 pesos for 2 chairs on the sand that were basic pool chairs. All that you pay for the chair goes towards credit. Drinks and food are generally more expensive than surrounding bars or restaurants, but it’s worth it considering table service on the beach. Beers were 65 pesos and cocktails around 135 pesos depending on the drink. Our waiter was pretty efficient, there might be a bit of a wait to order but never more than 10 minutes or so before you can get someone’s attention. The beachfront here has a lot of seaweed so be prepared to wade through it to get to the clear water, but it’s like that everywhere. The staff do make an effort to clean it up a bit throughout the day. It was fine once we got used to it. There is also a small pool but we didn’t go in there as it was pretty busy on the day we went. Overall highly recommended, we had no issues and really enjoyed our day. We were there from 10.30 to 4.00 and spent 1500 pesos including a tip, and had maybe 8-10 drinks and one meal to share.

Spent the entire afternoon at this Beach Club next to Mamita’s and we only spent 1000 pesos which applied to an entire food/drink spend! This was a great spot for our party of 6. The kids lounged by the pool and enjoyed the clean facilities. There were showers, an amazing view of the beach. Chairs and lounge beds on the beach and we chose the covered day bed for our toddler. My daughter had a blast and the pricing for food and drinks were reasonable in my opinion. The entire day cost me user 2000 pesos and we were all very happy with the choice to stay there. Highly recommend it and will be back if we come back to Playa!

Dec 22 2021. Great service and fast also. Group of 3 people. 850 min per person today. Not bad. Stayed for 4 hours ordered 3 drinks and two entrees throughout personally and hit the minimum. Payed about 1200 with tip total. It was chill the day I came. Also liked the music (modern popular music) not some techno. Food was good. The aguachile was awesome. Good shrimp cocktail. Drinks were yummy but the shrimp tacos were just okay. Alsome pictures of the menu right now

For about $1200 pesos ($600 pesos per person,) you get a nice spot on the beach and to eat/drink your monies worth. You can rent towels, too, if you need them for an additional cost. You have access to the showers, bathrooms, beach and large pool. You can also rent jet ski’s and ride a banana boat (separate from Kool,) but it was more expensive than I’ve witnessed in other locations. It’s on a public beach and Mamita’s Beach Club is right next door. On the beach, vendors often walk by with fresh mango, coconuts, bracelets and even sombreros. We went twice and enjoyed both visits. The fruit plate wasn’t our favorite (spoiled papaya) but we absolutely loved the pasta, freshly made juices, tacos and papas fritas. The service was also awesome - ask for Alberto!
Jill J — Google review
Go early if you can to get a good seat. The seating arrangement is like a cinema / theatre. There is a small pool on the side, and seating available in that area as well. Recommended to scope out the area / row to see what you’ll be paying for before you actually do. The front-most row of chairs are actually not as amazing as there are people constantly passing by and there are also people camped out on the sand in the public space in front of the beach club. The food quality is quite good, the tostadas were very delicious. The drinks were ok. You basically go for the ambiance. To enjoy the music, choose a spot closer to the building. Bring your own towels. There are only outdoor (rinsing) showers, so plan accordingly.

This is probably my favorite beach club in Playa. I like mamitas too but their pounding music all day is not for everyone. I wanted a relaxed day at the beach as we checked out of our hotel earlier and needed a place to spend the day before leaving Playa for our night flight. You choose your sun bed and depending the location will be the charge, that is given back to you in food and drinks credit. We picked 2 in the sand right below the pool for 980 pesos. We ordered 4 drinks and 2 dishes total and that ate up our credit. So yes it’s not exactly cheap (drinks are pretty small) but everything was good and service is attentive. I go at least once every time I’m in Playa. I just wished they worked on a new menu or at least new season items or specials, cause I always end up ordering the same thing when I go.

La Quinta Avenida in Playa del Carmen is a vibrant and bustling pedestrian street lined with cobbled stones, offering an eclectic mix of well-known brand stores, spas, restaurants, bars, pharmacies, and craft shops. This atmospheric avenue exudes a cosmopolitan and tropical vibe while maintaining an authentic Mexican charm. It's a top attraction in the town, located just one block from the golden shores.
This place was amazing and beautiful! Great shopping! Close to the water with great views! Definitely a place to come visit while in Cancun area!

Great place to go while in Playa Del Carmen, food is great, a variety of stores to get local souvenirs!
Wilson G — Google review
Great to visit once! But everything is so expensive and mediocre, much better to walk away from there and enjoy the little places which are much better quality and value for money!
Kyle T — Google review
Even though it's not peak season it's still busy but without feeling wall to wall with people which is great if not more comfortable. However this I suspect gives the sellers more opportunities to be bit pushy which I understand but still not a great fan of. Quite a few of the shops sell the same things so don't get sold on things being handmade (some probably were handmade just not likely done by seller). The food in the area is great. Overall an ok experience
Jerone E — Google review
This is a really dynamic place. Lots of different restaurants, shops, entertainment, etc. It’s worth visiting, very safe, always lots to see, and some brands you would recognize like Starbucks. Very much American like, pricing is also a bit more expensive than elsewhere in the city. All the foods are very safe to eat, all the drinks are very safe to drink, some restaurants offer very good specials, others offer a very amazing experience. One downside, I wish the city would finally clean up the problem with the drug dealers on every street corner, trying to sell to families with little children, seniors, minors, and anyone else that passes them by. I don’t know why there’s not a recognition of the problem and how much this turns tourism off. It’s not like they’re concealed, it’s not like they’re hiding anything, anyone walking by will be asked, in one day, the authorities could clean this problem up if they wanted to. It’s the only stain on otherwise amazing experience in PDC.
W M — Google review
This is a huge pedestrian mall, and probably a "must experience" Playa del Carmen thing, made 100% for tourists, with lots of gimmicky kitsch, vendors all calling you their best friend, bars and clubs, with luxury goods in one section. It was fun briefly, and I had some amazing spicy Mayan drinking chocolate, but any more interesting art or culture is hidden elsewhere. If you like malls, you might love this space. Otherwise, go for a short visit just to have the experience.
Les H — Google review
Busy, busy busy. Loads of locals giving you the hard sell for everything. Go out for breakfast and they still try to sell you tequila (free shots) and cigars. Would have loved one of them to offer some pancakes and a coffee as it was 0830.
Neil A — Google review
We visited fifth Av. as a resort trip, even if we could do it for free because it was included in our all inclusive package. The only reason was they went at 11:00 am till 3:00 pm. We decided to go at 5:00 pm till 9:00 pm. It was a little bit cooler and more pleasant to walk around. Would recommend, nice to see.

Nestled in the lively heart of Playa del Carmen, Zenzi Beach Bar & Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to unwind by the Caribbean Sea. This relaxed beach bar offers an all-day dining experience with a delightful mix of Mexican and American cuisine, served right on the golden sands. With tables set against stunning ocean views, patrons can savor delicious dishes like loaded nachos and fish and chips while enjoying refreshing cocktails or cold beers.
We went with a couple we met the first time and really enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks. Returned as a couple and had dinner which was very tasty. The food was ample in size. We started with fried calamari. Tasty with a nice dipping sauce. My husband had the fried fish and chips also plenty and quite tasty. I had the rock shrimp (also fried) on tostado. There were options that weren't fried. The drinks are very good here and the waiters attentive and prompt. Would definitely recommend. There aren't beds here to lay out on the small beach area, but tables and chairs on the sand to sit and drink or eat. Very nice atmosphere. The music is also good with live bands most nights.
Nessa W — Google review
We came to Zenzi Beach 3 separate times. The atmosphere here is unbeatable. Live music every night of the week, from salsa to live karaoke, there’s something for everyone. The food was great, huge portions and affordable prices. Everything we got was tasty, my favourite were the Baja fish tacos. Definitely also recommend the chicharon and the ceviche. The drinks are served very quickly and the Ojo Rojo was the best I had, very well seasoned.

Nice atmosphere right on the beach. Good selection of music. Decent prices I had nachos and also fries another day. Few beers. Attentive staff. Good vibes would recommend

Low key hidden bar on the beach. Was just walking down the beach & happen be brought in by the music. Good vibes. If you speak English you are fine plenty of tourists. With that comes the prices but worth it in my book

Staying in Playacar & ventured down to 5th for the day! Stopped here for the vibes, right on the beach & good mix of local & holiday makers. We ordered some fries for the wee one& my wife & I shared the steak nachos, these were next level!!! Massive portion, so full of flavour, & cooked to perfection! Also had two daiquiris & an OJ in total £27 so awesome value also. Live bands on offer most days from 3pm, highly recommend you give it a try!

Spectacular place. Yummy food - awesome menu. Super service. Beautiful location. Great music, ambiance. Sunday all you can eat BBQ is a favorite. Well priced also.

Beautiful beach. The sand is like sugar. Clean blue water, although with some choppy waves. Not crowded with a calm vibe. It's definitely a hidden jem. Only 3.5 plane ride for me to be in paradise. Safe and clean

We live this beach bar restaurant. It's in the tourist zone but not horribly tourist prices. They always have great live music, the staff are always pleasant, and the vibes are always on point. We go back over and over for a night out.

Chocolate shop
Ah Cacao Chocolate Café is often referred to as the Starbucks of Mexico, offering freshly roasted coffee and delectable chocolate treats sourced directly from Mexico. In addition to their renowned coffee, they also serve some of the best ice cream in Playa del Carmen, with their vanilla ice cream being a standout favorite. The café offers a variety of desserts, including a highly recommended chocolate cake that's not overly sweet or heavy.
Ah Cacao is a Mexican chain of very nice cafes offering amazing hot cocoa (or cold if you prefer). They of course have other drinks to offer - coffees or teas, and also, you can find here various cakes to choose from to accompany your drink. I especially recommend the brownies. You can also buy here souvenirs - like hand made chocolates or coffee beans. Very cosy place which I recommend to visit.
Cyntia P — Google review
This place is a gem. The chocolate drinks are rich and smooth, the coffee is strong, and everything feels fresh. I had the chocolate frappe and a brownie—both were amazing. You can taste the quality in every bite. The vibe is chill and the staff is super friendly. I came back three times in one week. Definitely a must-visit spot if you’re in Playa!
Yuval C — Google review
I tried the Chocolate Frio and the Chocolate Tamale. Both were excellent; the drink was light but flavourful with no bitterness whatsoever. They did not overdo it with the sugar which was much appreciated. The tamale was dry but the great cacao flavour made up for it, I expect it is supposed to be consumed with a coffee. Will come again to purchase some products to bring back with me to Canada!
Sami M — Google review
very good coffee and happy staff always meet for a great cup of coffee in the morning! Would highly recommend this coffee shop and got lucky that it’s October as the pan de muerte is fresh and amazing!
Chris Z — Google review
We are from a city that has incredible coffee, everywhere, on every block. We also have a fancy vintage Italian machine and make our own. We’ve taken classes on coffee to learn how to make it properly. We like a good strong americano to start our day, Ah Cacao was the only shop that hit with us. Strong, bold, but still smooth. Fantastic cup of coffee. Other places seem to use massive cups and your espresso based beverages are watered down because of it. Some other shops have potential, but Ah Cacao is the only one that has it down correctly. We liked it so much we tried their house special, a sort of iced mocha. It was amazing and we now get one as our second coffee on our daily walk to the beach. Their chocolate is insanely good (obviously). It’s not the cheapest coffee, but it’s the best and that’s what we want. Hope this review helps

After 2.5 months, I finally treated myself to a decadent Mayan Chocolate Frappe at Ah Cacao Café. The chocolate was rich with a hint of spicy 🌶️ chili and not overly sweet. I ordered mine with Coconut 🥥 milk and it was a perfect tropical treat. I sat inside which was wonderfully cool.

Wow, the ice coffee and hot chocolate was fire! It was great. And we also bought candy bars for us and to share. The barista made a teddy bear for the wife’s coffee. Great place.

Love this place! I’ve been a couple times and have gotten the vegetarian burrito and some type of breakfast with poached eggs and both were amazing! Their smoothies and healthy drinks are also very good! Antonio’s service is wonderful and attentive! I’ll definitely be back and I’m not a vegetarian or vegan!

C-Grill is a casual beachfront restaurant located in the Thompson Playa del Carmen Beach House, offering traditional Mexican cuisine with a modern twist. Additionally, C-Grill at the Thompson Hyatt hotel provides a fine dining experience with contemporary Mexican food by award-winning chef Daniel Manzano Flores.
Love the atmosphere, and vibe of this restaurant. So relaxing and a beautiful ocean view. If you want a quiet, classy place to eat this place is definitely the one. A hidden gem. Would recommend the C-Grill Omelette, or Benedictinos, and the fruit berry bowl. Also really appreciated the staff and their effort to communicate in English.

Decent location on the beach. Slow service. Ordered pizza and some tacos. Pizza was almost inedible it was so bad. Breakfast was slightly better. Overall, there are loads of better places in Playa - if you want to eat on the beach, go to Sandbar next door. Exponentially better food.
Anya P — Google review
They have great seafood dishes for lunch and dinner which we found was good but not exceptional for the price. Location is fabulous. Can't be better. Service on the other hand was disappointing especially during breakfast time. Staff were not motivated to work, chatting away in a corner and came to our table after 10 minutes. There were 2 or 3 staff on hand yet they were not proactive or willing in serving or bringing out the food. Only one staff was working and took awhile to get the order done. If you are in a hurry, please be aware and allow more time. There were a few experienced staff who attended to us during the latter parts of the day/night there during our stay and they were helpful and friendly. So you need to try your luck on the day. Seems like no manager to monitor or direct staff all day and the level of service with the younger staff is definitely not the usual Hotel standard yet no one at hotel is doing anything to change it. Very disappointing to see as the hotel does well in other areas yet the service experience at restaurant pulls down the overall perception of the hotel.
Olivia O — Google review
Sat down for the "all you can eat" brunch, 500pso. 200 pesos to add unlimited national drinks, we did not indulge. They brought us 5 pancakes, 2 small bowls of fruit, and 2 yogurt. Then for the second course they brought 1cm slice of baked acorn squash and 3 puck tacos. Why do you bring 3 tiny tacos for 4 people? There was this delicious beet and grapefruit salad too, 5oz (for 4 people). We asked for more and they said we were not allowed to have more because we asked for another order of pancakes and fruit. How unsatisfying, and rude.
Christopher H — Google review
Quite pricey, but comfy spot to set up for the day. You can use the lounge chairs/cushions if you buy food/drinks with no minimum spend.

Do Not Eat Here. Be prepared, they bill in USD and offer a ridiculously poor exchange rate. I appreciate their effort communicating in English, but shortly after being greeted, we were surprised to find that despite being visibly vacant the servers were not attentive, the only pleasant person we dealt with was the hostess. We asked for milk several times for coffee and the Benedictinos (Egg Benedict) is inedible, the sauce is rancid, and tasted like spoiled leftovers. Beware, when we complained their excuse was the “missing ingredients” were blended into the hollandaise sauce. I suggest eat else where, and enjoy the sun away from this pitiful excuse of a restaurant. Way over priced and Overrated.
Joe G — Google review
The food was good, service was not so good, they also were not discreet when I tried to pick up the tab for our table, everything we ate was pretty good except for their specialty omelette, It was extremely dry not what we expected, we loved the pancakes they were super fluffy, and the bacon was perfectly crispy. The view was amazing, we were literally on the beach which was exactly what we were in search of for our last breakfast in Playa. The prices were pretty good. It’s a place where you can also go swimming while you eat, you can use the beach and they have a pool right there. The bathrooms are super clean. For parking you have to find street parking or one of the near by garages, their is no valley parking or parking at the restaurant which is in a dead end street connected to the hotel. I would go again. Really good family vibe restaurant.

Restaurant
Plank Gourmet Grill & Patio Bar is a lively and modern restaurant that specializes in cooking on wooden planks, offering a full bar for its patrons. It's an upscale option for Thanksgiving dinner, providing 5-star service and a tantalizing 4-course meal featuring options like roasted beetroot and caramelized fig salad or cream of sweetcorn soup with blue cheese and bacon. The restaurant is known for slow-cooking meats and salmon over cedar planks in an upscale yet earthy setting.
Delicious! Great ambience and impeccable service by Francesco. We enjoyed every bite of our meal as well as the drinks (he did a great job recommending). I’m a vegetarian and was able to get a wonderful meal without issue, which is not always the case at steakhouses. We did not feel rushed at all, but they were very attentive. They were very respectful of our 10-year-old son. Would definitely recommend dinner here! Yum!

Ok so I never really leave reviews but this restaurant deserves one! This was our absolute favourite restaurant in Playa and we have eaten twice a day for seven days in several places. I’m just sorry we discovered it almost at the end of our trip otherwise we would come every evening and also for breakfast. The food is BEYOND fantastic! No matter what we've e ordered we were always delighted with our meal! Credit to the Chef! The servers were also great and always polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone who has high expectations to eat in here.

Great service and food! The cheeseboard was delicious, margaritas were oh-so-tasty (I only had one, hubby had two), and the food (mixed veggies, asparagus, Parmesan fries, octopus, and ribeye were finger licking good.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Plank and it was a wonderful experience. We were served by the beautiful Fernanda who started us off with a Smoked Old Fashioned and Smoked Negroni. By the end of the night we ordered two more rounds and were ready to salsa dance the night away. We ordered the Salmon Gravlax and Scallops & Pork Belly for starters, and both dishes were melt in your mouth delicious. Our mains were the Mixed Grill, Fettuccine Seafood. Mixed Vegetables, and Mashed Potatoes. Again, each dish was prepared exactly to our liking and danced on our flavor palates. Our wait between dishes was approximately 30 minutes, but I had already done my research and knew that Plank prioritizes the dining quality and experience over speed, unlike many restaurants in the United States. We were too full for dessert, but we eagerly look forward to patronizing Plank again on our next trip to Playa Del Carmen.

We were a party of three the service was friendly and super. We started with tuna tartar that was delicious, the tuna almost melted in your mouth. Unfortunately the rest of food we ordered was not as good. I had short rib that was super tender, but lack flavor. My brother had the seafood pasta Nero that was too al dente, the pasta portion was really small and the flavors were lacking. Thirdly, my girlfriend had a Lobster that she enjoyed it although according to her it wasn’t as good as previous experience with the crustacean.

By far our fave place to eat in Playa Del Carmen. The drinks were perfect…a spicy margarita! Our appetizer and dinner were outstanding. The staff was so accommodating & the evening was topped off with a sexy jazz band playing excellent music! We’ll definitely be back and recommend this restaurant highly.
Julie H — Google review
We were excited to try this restaurant and the food was indeed good. The waiter was extremely friendly to begin and told us a sad story about his life in Argentina. However we were extremely shocked when upon bringing us the bill , he began to demand a 20% tip. We said we’d leave cash so he stood over us while we prepared the tip - very uncomfortable. When we presented the $25 USD tip he became aggressive as it was less than the 20% he pressured us to give (despite the fact that it was 10% of his monthly salary in Argentina). Needles to say this was very uncomfortable given the fact that this restaurant is expensive by Playa del Carmen standards (and even New York standards where we have just arrived from). We could not understand why this nice restaurant was so empty, but now it’s clear- the hard sell tactics by the waiters are putting off wealthy locals and tourists alike … perhaps the management is not paying them a decent salary ? But the desperation and money hunger of the staff means we will never darken its door again, and would definitely not recommend. 2* for the food only.
Елена Д — Google review
Plank was recommended to my husband and me so we decided to go out to dinner here while we had a friend in town visiting. This place did not disappoint. Between the 3 of us, we had the smoked meat platter, the ribeye, and the fish and chips with sides of mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. Our waiter, Daniel, was very attentive without being overbearing. He was very polite and courteous and made sure that our experience was exceptional. We will definitely be returning to Plank to try more of the menu.
