Mutrah Souq, also known as Al Dhalam Souq, is a traditional marketplace in Muscat that offers a wide array of Omani souvenirs, handicrafts, textiles, jewelry, spices and more. This historic bazaar features narrow alleys lined with shops selling various items and retains the charm of a traditional Arab market. Visitors can explore rows of timber stalls offering Indian and Omani artifacts as well as antique goods at jewelry and textile stores.
A vibrant and authentic market experience that offers a glimpse into Oman’s cultural and commercial heritage. Highly recommended for visitors seeking traditional charm. --- ✅ Positive Aspects: • Traditional atmosphere: The souq preserves the feel of old Arabian markets, with narrow alleys, wooden ceilings, and the scent of frankincense in the air. • Gold and handicrafts: A great place to explore Omani jewelry, handmade crafts, textiles, and souvenirs. • Local dining: Several restaurants and cafés nearby offer a chance to enjoy Omani and regional dishes. • Scenic location: Just steps away from the Corniche and the sea, making it easy to combine shopping with a relaxing waterfront stroll. • Cultural immersion: Ideal for travelers who want to experience local life, interact with shopkeepers, and discover unique items.
Wael N — Google review
A must visit spots for tourists. Most shops are so friendly. Good prices. Quality items. Can even found roman & gladiator's iron helmet here. Its an airconditioned souq. Great place to hide from hot sunny weather outside.
Bard P — Google review
That’s crazy old. Feels like I am at 1940. There are Indians trading everywhere. And Foreigners who are buying. Old fashioned shop. Clean only where is trading, if you come beyond the market it’s so dirty and dark. It’s safe, no worries at all. For experience it’s nice. Prices are highly overpriced and goods are there over-old and not fresh. Maybe some shops are genuine, you may bargain and get things really cheap. Very boring place. Cafes there don’t have any customer service. However it’s a heritage and it’s somehow beautiful and entertaining. There is gold market. Fancy and excited.
Kozlova O — Google review
The souq is one of Oman’s oldest and most vibrant markets, offering a captivating journey through the nation’s rich trading heritage. Overlooking the harbor, it dates back several centuries to a time when Muscat was a major port linking Arabia with India, Persia, and Africa. Locally known as “Souq Al Dhalam,” or “The Dark Market,” its narrow, winding lanes are shaded by wooden roofs and filled with the enchanting scents of frankincense, myrrh, spices, and oud. Inside, more than 800 shops sell a colorful mix of Omani silver jewelry, khanjars, handcrafted textiles, pottery, and perfumes, blending old traditions with modern touches. Originally built with palm leaves and mud walls, the souq has been carefully restored to preserve its authentic character while remaining a lively hub for both locals and visitors. Friendly vendors welcome you to browse and bargain, and as the day fades, the soft evening lights make it even more charming.
Abdulkarim A — Google review
Absolutely loved visiting Mutrah Souq! It’s a beautiful blend of tradition, culture, and color. The narrow lanes, friendly shopkeepers, and the mix of scents from frankincense, spices, and perfumes make it such a unique experience. You can find everything here — from traditional Omani souvenirs and jewelry to clothes and local handicrafts. The atmosphere is lively yet welcoming, and it really captures the spirit of old Muscat. A must-visit spot for anyone coming to Oman!
Zee — Google review
The place looked beautiful with all the lights during the night time, but the only issue we faced was parking… it was hard to find a spot on the weekend. However, if you go a bit further, there’s a large parking area near the musical fountain.
Praveen R — Google review
🛍️ Mutrah Souq The Beating Heart of Old Muscat Mutrah Souq is a vibrant blend of history, culture, and charm truly the soul of Muscat. Walking through its narrow lanes filled with the scent of frankincense, spices, and oud feels like stepping back in time. Every corner tells a story from the glittering displays of traditional silver jewelry and colorful lamps to the stalls overflowing with handcrafted souvenirs and textiles. The friendly shopkeepers, the warm ambiance, and the gentle hum of bargaining add to the Souq’s old-world allure. It’s a place where tradition and modern life meet beautifully. A visit to Muscat wouldn’t be complete without experiencing the magic of Mutrah Souq where every turn is a new discovery and every scent, a memory. ✨
Fuzzala S — Google review
Visited Mutrah Souq, one of the oldest traditional markets in Oman, dating back over a century. This historic marketplace has been a major trading hub for goods like spices, perfumes, textiles, and gold, reflecting Oman’s rich maritime past. I really enjoyed exploring the narrow lanes filled with the aroma of frankincense and traditional Omani charm. Many of the shopkeepers are Malayalees, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Picked up some beautiful souvenirs from here

Riyam Park حديقة ريام

Park
Riyam Park حديقة ريام is a serene destination that offers stunning views of mountains, water, and blooming flowers. It features playgrounds and expansive lawns for leisurely strolls. A trek to the mountains separating Darsait from the Port area provides breathtaking sunset views of Port Sultan Qaboos, Muttrah Corniche, and the impressive Riyam Park along with the giant Frankincense Burner.
A very nice medium sized park. There are picnic tables under the shade and playgrounds for the kids. Very quiet and peaceful with great views of the Bay of Oman and the Tower on the hill. The paths are clean and very well maintained. There is a coffee shop and restaurant but they were closed on a weekday. There are large parking lots in the front and back of the park with taxis always standing by. There was once a pond and a small amusement park, but the pond is now drained and they're tearing down the amusement park. There are multiple Water Closets open. A very nice place to take a walk, or let the kids play, picnic, or just sit in a shady spot and relax.
Arkk S — Google review
This place evokes a sense of tranquility and peace. The gentle breeze whispers through the trees, creating a soothing melody. Sunlight filters through the leaves, dappling the ground with light. Al Alam Palace, located in the heart of Muscat, Oman, is a landmark ceremonial residence that showcases a unique and flamboyant contemporary Islamic design. Built in 1972, it features bright blue and gold trumpet-shaped columns and vibrant tile work that defy traditional palace architecture. Although not open to the public, visitors can admire its colorful facade from the iron gates at the front.
A visually striking and culturally significant landmark in Muscat. Its location makes it a perfect starting point for exploring nearby historical and cultural sites. --- ✅ Positive Aspects: • Unique architecture: The palace features a bold and colorful design that stands out among traditional Omani structures. • Prime location: Situated near key attractions like Al Mirani Fort and the National Museum, allowing visitors to enjoy multiple highlights in one visit. • Well-maintained surroundings: The area is clean, landscaped, and ideal for walking and photography. • Symbolic importance: As one of the official residences of His Majesty the Sultan, it holds national and ceremonial significance.
Wael N — Google review
Muscat’s most iconic landmark, surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens and traditional Omani architecture, it offers a perfect backdrop for photos. Though visitors cannot enter inside, the view from outside is truly worth it. The area is clean, peaceful, and gives a royal feel!
Shahufa S — Google review
Al Alam Palace is one of the main official residences of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and stands as an important symbol of Oman’s governance and history. The original structure was built over 200 years ago by Imam Sultan bin Ahmed, and the current palace was rebuilt in 1972. The building features a distinctive blue and gold facade and is framed by the historic Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali, dating back to the 16th century. Together, they form a setting that reflects both Muscat’s defensive past and its modern architectural identity. Although the palace is not open to visitors, the public area in front of it offers a clear view and is well maintained. The walkway leading to the gates is clean and organized, making it a pleasant short visit, especially for those interested in Omani history and culture. A brief stop here provides a good sense of the country’s royal heritage and the surrounding Old Muscat area.
Abdulkarim A — Google review
Al Alam Palace is must visit place in Muscat. No entry inside the palace allowed but view from the outside is great too. This place represents the traditional architecture, surrounded by greenery and hills. I enjoyed walking near the palace despite it was hot afternoon.
Nadiia — Google review
Al Alam Palace is also a must-visit attraction in Muscat. Though visitors are not allowed inside the palace grounds, the exterior itself is stunning and offers excellent photo opportunities. The palace, with its striking blue and gold façade, is one of the six royal residences of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. The surrounding area is beautifully maintained, with clean walkways and impressive architecture all around. I visited at night as well — the palace looked magnificent under the lights, creating a truly royal and peaceful atmosphere.
Laiju L — Google review
We visited Al Alam Palace in Muscat, and while we didn’t get to go inside, the exterior was still an impressive sight. Built in the 1970s, Al Alam Palace serves as the ceremonial palace of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Oman’s current ruler. The palace stands as a symbol of Oman's heritage, with its stunning blend of traditional Islamic and modern architectural styles. The blue and gold accents on the façade are especially striking and contrast beautifully with the surrounding natural landscape, including the rugged hills and tranquil water nearby. The palace is located in a picturesque area, right next to the Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts, which add to its historic significance. The surrounding gardens and the views of the coastline make it an ideal spot for photos and a peaceful visit, but unfortunately, access to the interior is restricted. While you can’t go inside, it’s still worth stopping by to admire the architecture and learn a bit about Oman's history and royal heritage. The palace has long been a symbol of Oman’s modernization and continued stability, and while we could only view it from the outside, it’s clear why it holds such importance. The National Museum of Oman is located just opposite to the main entrance.
Kaushik M — Google review
A Must Visit Gem in Muscat! Al Alam Palace is absolutely beautiful; a perfect blend of royal elegance and vibrant Omani architecture. The palace grounds are spotless and well-maintained, with colorful gardens and stunning views. Even though visitors can’t go inside, it’s a great spot for photos and a must-see when exploring the city. Truly a symbol of Oman’s royal heritage! 🇴🇲✨

Al Alam Palace is the ceremonial palace of the Sultan of Oman and used welcoming foreign dignitaries and heads of state etc. Visited it from outside. The striking blue color of the palace makes it special, that is visible from a distance. Pictures can be taken both from the front and the back.

It is often referred to as the "lungs of Muscat" due to its lush greenery and natural beauty. The park features a boating lake, the Sultan Qaboos Rose Garden, fountains, an artificial waterfall, and a small amusement park for kids.
Very beautiful and huge park. We went on June and we were alone in the park. Beautiful waterfall. Some space to rest or walk. Worth a visit !

A very beautiful park, both adults and kids can enjoy. There is an amusement park once you walk down. There are plenty of greenery and lovely views. There is a restaurant and small stalls. There are toilets. There are plenty of flies and mosquitos, though, so be prepared.

Qurum Natural Park is an absolute gem in the heart of Muscat! 🌿✨ The lush greenery, peaceful lake, and beautifully maintained walking paths make it a perfect escape from the city’s hustle. The park is clean, family-friendly, and offers something for everyone — from relaxing picnics to evening strolls. The views, especially during sunset, are simply breathtaking. A true example of nature’s beauty and Omani hospitality combined. 🌸💚 Definitely a 5-star experience and a must-visit spot in Muscat! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Qurum National Park is one of Muscat’s most beautiful and peaceful green spaces — a true escape from the busy city life. The park is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with plenty of walking paths, shaded areas, and beautifully landscaped gardens. It’s a perfect spot for families, children, and anyone who loves nature and outdoor relaxation. The artificial lake, fountains, and flower gardens make the park very scenic, especially in the evenings when the weather cools down. There are also play areas for kids, benches to sit and enjoy the view, and lots of open space for picnics or short walks. Whether you visit for a morning walk, a family outing, or just to unwind in nature, Qurum National Park offers a calm and refreshing atmosphere that everyone will enjoy. A must-visit landmark for both residents and tourists in Muscat

We saw the waterfalls when driving and though we would check this out. They are part of the park. We went in June. it was completely empty. It was quite clean. Many playground for kids. The park is big and we didn’t see all of it but we liked the parts that we walked through

Enjoyed with the kids, quite busy in the weekend, can hire bicycles for kids and adults. Recommend for family outings

A beautiful large park which has a small lake, beautiful walking paths, numerous benches and picnic tables under the shade, a small amphitheater, and a spectacular man-made waterfall. Entrance is free and it's a great place to walk, sit under a shady tree and have a picnic, watch the kids play on one of several free playgrounds, or go to the back of the park to walk around the lake or see the waterfall. There are several water closets in the park, clean and well maintained. There is also a fancy restaurant near the main entrance. A great place for walking, or bring the family to play and relax in the shade. If you're in this part of Muscat and you like parks, I would certainly recommend this one.
Arkk S — Google review
There were some collations of adventures to enjoy the peacefulness and get rid of some worries. We can take children to enjoy the places with them. There is a lot of fun and we can go on a picnic there. Just imagine we can rent a cycle/electric bike to around there. There is one pond also there. We can go walk around the pond. Took 6km it's my calculations. May took more. We can enjoy it peacefully and we can leave memories there. ✨💕There little bit of neatness is needed.

Turkish restaurant
Baba Salem Restaurant is a popular Turkish restaurant with a relaxed outdoor seating area. It's known for its signature Pasha Kebab Mutton, Izmir Kebab, and fluffy flatbreads. The restaurant is well-liked for its good quality food at reasonable prices. While parking can be challenging, the service is quick and the portions are filling. The restaurant also offers an AC area on the second floor.
Baba Salem is one of those hidden gems that you might easily miss if you’re just passing by, but it’s a favorite among locals. This Turkish cuisine spot truly shines when it comes to Shawarma especially the chicken, which I highly recommend. If you’re visiting between 8 and 10 PM, be prepared for a lively crowd, particularly on weekends, which just adds to the vibrant atmosphere. For those who can’t decide between chicken or beef, their mixed Shawarma is a must-try equally delicious and satisfying. Now that the weather is nicer, I’d suggest sitting outside to enjoy your meal in a relaxed setting. Prices are reasonable, making it a great choice even at the end of the month when you’re waiting for your salary. Overall, Baba Salem is a reliable spot for authentic Turkish flavors and won’t disappoint.
Bader A — Google review
Portions for prices are great. A good place to visit if you’re planning to try authentic levantine/Turkish cuisine for good prices and good quality. Lamb chops and Kebab were on top of the items in terms of taste. Pida and pizza were good as well. The indoor dinning area is very humble but clean. The outdoor is traditional and would definitely have been our first option only if we visited in winter.
Ghadeer A — Google review
The service was good but we found the food underwhelming. The shawarma was dry and the Iskender kebab lacked flavour. This place has a great reputation, but I'm struggling to understand why. I've tried other Turkish restaurants in Muscat which are far superior. I'll try and give it another try.
Georges D — Google review
Nice Turkish restaurant in town serving delicious grills, shawarmas. I like their meat shawarma, special sauces, doner kabab and mixed grills. My favorite place for arabic food. Definitely worth a try and value for money. Best wishes!

On August 7th, 2025, I patronized Baba Salem (Arabic food) Restaurant for lunch and found it to be a commendable establishment. The restaurant offers a diverse menu and provides attentive service, making it a highly recommended dining option. The menu includes a variety of choices, such as: - Beverages - Desserts - Juices - Appetizers - Seafood - Pizza - Shawarma - Grills The restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor dining areas, in addition to clean restroom facilities. The indoor area is modestly appointed but well-maintained. The outdoor area offers a traditional ambiance, which would be particularly appealing during the winter months. Please note that complimentary WiFi is not available. (Prices include a 5% VAT.) I extend my appreciation to the owner and staff for their hospitality and welcoming demeanor.
Timeless J — Google review
Well, this is truly the definition of fast food in Oman—easy, affordable, and consistently tasty. The food is fresh, flavorful, and satisfying without being heavy. During lunchtime, the place is packed with people on their work breaks, which says a lot about its popularity. Must-try items at Baba Salem include the Arabic Shawarma, Shawarma Platter, and the Iskander Kebab. And of course, being in Muscat, no meal feels complete without a refreshing Ice Lemon Mint. The restaurant offers outdoor seating with a charming garden concept, making it a lovely spot to enjoy food—especially in the winter. For the hotter months, there’s an air-conditioned dining area on the first floor, which is perfect for keeping cool.

Indian restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Muscat, Mumtaz Mahal Restaurant stands as a testament to fine dining and culinary artistry since its inception in 1984. This esteemed establishment specializes in North Indian cuisine, drawing inspiration from traditional recipes that have been cherished through generations. The restaurant's elegant decor features a striking black and white theme complemented by chic indoor plants, creating an atmosphere of sophistication and tranquility.
We had the tasting menu at Mumtaz Mahal in Muscat, and it was fantastic! Each of the five courses was packed with bold, vibrant flavours that showcased Indian cuisine at its best. Portions were super generous—so much so that we couldn’t finish the last course, which was the biggest of them all. Honestly, one tasting menu is perfect for two people to share. Great food, lovely ambiance, and overall an experience worth savouring!
Norvan N — Google review
We had a wonderful experience at Mumtaz Mahal. The indoor space is beautiful, filled with plants that make it feel fresh and inviting. Special thanks to Chef and TC Rana for his warm hospitality — he was friendly, patient, and answered all our questions. For those who enjoy Indian and spicy food, this is a great choice. I loved my butter chicken — rich and flavorful — and my partner’s Gold Tasting Menu was a fantastic way to sample many dishes. Prices are reasonable for the quality, though not the cheapest. I’d definitely go again and bring any guests visiting Muscat.
Fateme M — Google review
Mumtaz Mahal in Muscat is undeniably a feast for the eyes with its stunning interiors and captivating ambience—perfect for impressing clients or hosting a fancy evening out. However, the experience falls short where it matters most. The food is, frankly, mediocre, with portions so small they leave you wanting. The naan? The tiniest I’ve ever seen, almost a culinary crime! Service is just okay, not matching the hype or the hefty price tag. As a local Muscatian, I find it hard to justify the cost for what’s offered. This is a one-time-visit kind of place, more suited for business entertainment than a go-to dining spot. Sorry, folks, but I can’t recommend it—there are better options out there for the price. Good luck.
Abhay C — Google review
The place is beautiful, and the food was delicious. However, two staff members came across as quite rude. We had requested one of the waiters to make a dish less spicy, but it was served very spicy anyway. Fortunately, another staff member who later served us was genuinely kind and attentive. Overall, the ambience made the experience pleasant, but the service could definitely be improved.

Mumtaz in Muscat is a great dining experience. The food is incredibly fresh, full of bold flavor, and clearly prepared with real attention to quality. Every dish we ordered had that perfect balance of spice and richness without feeling heavy, which is harder to find than you’d think. The staff were warm and professional, and the setting has an elevated yet welcoming feel. One small note for anyone visiting, the restaurant is located in a complex that has several other places around it, so just know where you are headed when you arrive. Overall, a fantastic spot for high quality Indian cuisine in Muscat and absolutely worth a visit.

Kurkum Restaurant is a fine-dining Indian restaurant located near the Mutrah souk in Muscat. It offers a modern and elegant ambiance with both indoor and outdoor seating, providing stunning views of Sultan Qaboos Port. The menu features a wide variety of homemade Indian and Chinese dishes for lunch and dinner, including soups, salads, starters, as well as chicken, lamb, fish, and vegetarian main courses.
A fine Indian restaurant in the Mutrah area. The menu is quite diverse with options of vegetarian, chicken, lamb, and seafood items. They offer soups, hot and cold starters, main courses, dessert, and drinks. The food is very tasty, and the service is OK. The place is quite small, and they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. They accept payment by card or cash. The food portions are quite filling, and are very highly priced.

Excellent customer service. Food is on the pricy side but the chef's presentation and quality surely makes up for it. The ambience is very calming and peaceful. Worthwhile a visit.

Super expensive for Oman. OMR9.000 for watermelon juice, rice and dal is a rip off. Even 4 star hotels are cheaper. Having said that, food was delicious

The menu is very highly priced, and the food quality does not justify it. It's better to visit a five-star restaurant instead. **Positive Points:** - The ambiance and decor are quite appealing, though at this price, there are even better dining options available. Nonetheless, it's a romantic setting, ideal for affluent couples seeking a pleasant evening. - The mixed seafood soup was excellent, with perfect flavor, consistency, and temperature. - The Kashmiri pulao was aromatic and delicious. - The prawn poori was a creative concept and well-executed. **Negative Points:** - The sweet corn soup lacked corn and was not good in taste. - The dim sums were disappointing, especially considering the high price. The tamarind chutney didn't pair well, the taste was subpar, and the dim sum’s skin was too thick. - The creamy almond chicken and Rajasthani chicken gravy were almost identical, with the only difference being the almond and cream content. Even the steward acknowledged this. - The lentil yellow, meant to be dal fry, did not meet expectations. - The seekh kebab was very bland. **Concerns:** - The high menu prices are not justified by the quality of the food. Most dishes weren't made with the best ingredients, and two main courses tasted the same. At such high prices, each dish should be distinctly prepared, not just variations of the same gravy. - The silverware was good, but the main course serving dishes looked cheap. High prices should ensure top-quality service and presentation. - Despite the high charges, the stewards did not demonstrate proper food serving styles or knowledge of silver service. - The restaurant lacks dedicated parking, valet service, and even a host or hostess to welcome guests. In conclusion, the exorbitant menu prices are not justified. If it's a tourist destination, other nearby eateries should also charge high rates, which they don't. The high prices at this restaurant remain unexplained and unjustified.

Visited the Souq on Friday 4pm and was not as per my expectation, decided to get some food and did not want to sit outside in this heat. Came across Kurkum and ordered some butter kitchen, dal makni and paneer tikka masala. Food was great and fulling and the service was also good.

It's a pretty good mall. It has all the basic things and some more to buy. I liked the interior designs and the lighting. Even though it looks spacious from the outside, it's not that big inside or at least it doesn't feel so. Other than that, pretty OK, mall, for buying anything you need. One noteworthy detail is that they have a space in the food court just for children and kids to dine, which I thought was really cute and thoughtful. It's a pretty well designed food court. Another thing I felt that needs improvement is the washrooms sign boards. The directions are pretty hard to find and rather cryptic, especially for first-timers. Overall pretty good mall.

Walid A — Google review
The interior of the shopping mall seemed to be a bit older and darker, even inside the mall, in a slump, considering that some spaces are left empty after they're gone. The food court also looked desolate, considering the large area and small number of shops, which made me realise. From the outside, it looked huge and the well-lit decorations made it attractive, especially at night. The main reason is that the new shopping centre has been built next to it. I found a new vending machine that was about to squeeze fresh oranges into fresh juice. I tried to put in a bank note several times, but it never accepted it. I also wondered why the two machines located on the ground floor near the main entrance and on the first floor in the food court area looked the same but had different prices, 1 and 0.5 OMR. Do they have different sized cups? I have high expectations that they would come to get new unique attractive shops and facilities. I felt that the shopping mall looked like the human being getting older and older while the new generation is born and grows up every year. They look like athletes who were active in the past. It was like watching the prosperity rise and fall in this shopping mall.

Panorama Mall, established in 2005, is a sophisticated shopping destination featuring a variety of popular stores such as City Cinema, Awani Housewares, Yellow Submarine Family Entertainment Centre, and Twenty4 Department Store. The mall offers an array of dining options including fine restaurants, cafes, and a food court. It prides itself on providing better choices every day. While it may not be the top mall in Oman, it ranks among the top ten due to its captivating shopping and dining experiences.
Excellent food court with international food! Thailand, Korean food are at the top rank. Currently there is new chinese restaurant and the noodles are so worthy to try.

Panorama Mall in Muscat offers a mixed shopping experience. While it has some positive aspects, there are also several downsides. One noticeable issue is that many shops are closed, which limits the shopping options available. Even on weekends, the mall is not crowded at all, making it feel a bit empty. This can be a plus for those who prefer a quieter environment, but it might disappoint shoppers looking for a vibrant atmosphere. On the positive side, the mall features a hotel, which is convenient for visitors. There is also a laser tag arena and a play area for kids, providing some entertainment options for families. These facilities can make it a fun place for children to enjoy. Overall, while Panorama Mall has some attractions for families and a peaceful atmosphere, the lack of open shops detracts from the overall experience. It’s worth a visit if you’re looking for a quiet outing with kids, but be prepared for limited shopping options.

Different brands available than all of the other malls in muscat and this is what i think is special about that mall . Yet number of shops is very limited and it is mostly empty. Brands available are on the higher-end and the highlight is that the Visa application centre is located at that mall and this is why people go there . Unfortunately many shops are closed and or empty invluding the restaurant and food court side

Take atleast 1.5 hours in hand to explore the palace and garden. Main done is behind the small done. Make sure to have a water bottle as lots of things to be explored. Beautiful mosque. Built between 1994 and 2001 on a previously free land from the will of the sultan in order to give to Muscat the right place to pray between tradition and modernity. The outside is big with fountains, plants and flowers. Then there is the mosque, outside is magnificent and beautiful to admire with his Carrara's marble (always cleaned and polished), towers and structures. The inside is beautiful too with a chandelier of 8 tons and a beautiful Iranian carpet. A different with other mosque I saw is that here is not possibile to sit and some area of the mosque are fenced. It's possible to roam outside though the halls that are really nice through the morning light (inside, the mosque is open only from 8 to 11). The entrance is free, and the clothes must be respectful.

The mosque is square in shape which surrounds the central dome with a total height of 50 meters. The 5 minarets define the limits of the site representing the 5 pillars of Islam. Lo mein noodles were great with soft beef and thick bouncy noodles. The sauce was well coated. The sushi rolls were good, the crab sticks had a frozen aftertaste to it. Other than this, the rolls were good. Along with the dipping sauce, it was great to eat. Service is polite and quick. Although the lack of a menu card was an issue. We ordered from the screenshot on insta, the font was not great, and it was a difficult to read the contents.

Great shisha and very nice set-up. Their food is nice too. It is located within fraser suite hotel . Service is spot-on. The place has a heritage decors and is very well designed with indoor and outdoor seating areas. They have huge screens outdoor. The crowd and music is nice too. It is open daily until 2:00 am . Prices are not cheap

Fast food restaurant
Turkish Falcon Food Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with both indoor and outdoor seating options. It is renowned for its delectable Turkish and Lebanese cuisine, with the chicken kebab platter being highly recommended. Families and kids will appreciate the clean, peaceful, and welcoming atmosphere. While some find the shawarma to be average, others praise dishes like the Mexican Shawarma rocket. Additionally, customers have enjoyed ordering delivery from this restaurant due to its great taste and satisfying portions at an affordable price.
I went here with my friends.owner invited us 4 and talked about how much he hates period cramps. Kinda, generous, 6'3 man. Peaceful atmosphere, 10/10 food. I would give 6 stars if I could. One of my most and best memorable iftar experiences with my friends. Spent only 2 rials but owners son insisted on paying for me. Kind gentleman :) If I had a daughter I'd set him up with her.

We ordered an Iskender and pide. Unfortunately, the meat in the Iskender was too dry and had a lot of fatty bits. The pide we ordered was served in a circle rather than the classic boat shape. It was like ordering a pizza with lots of cheese instead of the classic pide. The interior of the restaurant looks more like a snack bar, so there was no wow effect when we entered.

I visited Turkish Suleyman Pasha Restaurant and had a great experience. Their chicken was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The shawarma platter was also delicious and definitely worth trying. The ambiance is pleasant, with the choice of both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a comfortable place to dine. Overall, a very enjoyable spot for good turkish food and a nice atmosphere.

Overall, the food was delicious & fresh each portion had huge quantities. It left me full up to my throat. The service was quick and efficient. A perfect place to eat when you're really starving and crave grilled food. The only drawback is the atmosphere, as the area is always very busy and full of cars coming from everywhere all the time. Hence there is no privacy if you're sitting outside - the people in the cars are right in front of you which is quite annoying especially when you're eating.

This restaurant is a popular spot in muscat with their tasty Turkish dishes like shawarma, Kebab etc..

Great place for having authentic Turkish dishes. The service is prompt and the waiters are very friendly. Open till 2 AM. Lots of footfall due to high demand. Definitely worth a visit.

I ordered grilled chicken with yellow rice plus appetizers and their special drink from a fruit sourced in Oman on a last day of Ramadan. The food was all exceptional and even the staff were accommodating & friendly! Definitely recommended 🤙🏻

Nestled along the stunning shores of Al Qurum Beach, NANA's Restaurant is a beloved local gem in Muscat that draws brunch enthusiasts, especially on weekends. Arriving later in the morning allows you to enjoy a delightful outdoor seat where you can sip coffee and savor eggs-over-easy while soaking in views of the sparkling Arabian Gulf. The menu boasts an array of international favorites like burgers and wraps, but don’t miss out on their breakfast offerings served until 1 PM.
A perfect place for a leisurely breakfast by the beach. It has amazing views. The Omani breakfast was interesting. The tea was awesome. The food was delicious and full of flavour. The person attending to us was very helpful and patient. Loved the experience.

amazing location, right opposite the beach and close to the kids’ play area, which makes it perfect for families. The interiors are very aesthetic and give a cozy, modern vibe. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the location and ambiance. One of the highlights is that they have an indoor kids’ play area, filled with puzzles and games, so children stay entertained while adults enjoy their meal. We went especially to try their chocolate bomb, but unfortunately it wasn’t available that day., the other items we ordered were very delicious – especially the Alfredo pasta, which was creamy and flavorful. They also accept Entertainer offers. The customer service was very good, and overall the café has a nice vibe and theme. Definitely planning to go back again to finally try the chocolate bomb and some of their other desserts!

Amazing experience! The atmosphere is serene, and the service is impeccable—quick, friendly, and attentive. The Omani breakfast was a standout, generously portioned and said to serve two, but it easily satisfied three of us. We added beans, hummus, honey, and eggs, and every bite was delicious and filling. The view is stunning, making it a perfect spot to relax. After breakfast, you can grab an ice cream and take a leisurely walk along the corniche or let the kids enjoy the swings and slides in the garden. The place is quiet, cozy, and has plenty of parking, adding to the overall comfort. Highly recommend for a memorable and relaxing outing!

Amazing view of the qurum beach. Egg benedict was nice. French toast was good. Nice presentation of the food. Little pricey

Reservation - I called for a reservation on the day. The phone did not ring longer than 4 rings before an employee answered the call. Friendly, polite staff Welcome - A friendly staff member welcomed us from the door and we were taken to our table Menu - The menu can be viewed by scanning a barcode - please ensure you take your mobile device along. The menu has various options Atmosphere - Great background upbeat lounge music, stunning view of Qurum beach, inside & outside seating available weather dependant Service - Service was top notch and we did not wait longer than 15 - 20 minute for our food and beverages. Yahya was great and he anticipated our needs which made this experience extra special Food - We went for breakfast, we had the eggs benedict with salmon and the english styled breakfast. The food was tasty, fresh and good presentation. We had the carrot & orange juice, watermelon juice (my favourite) and the passion fruit mojito Overall - Great venue, location and restaurant to host a special occasion or if you just want a restaurant with a sea view

Came here for dinner and cancelled to sit outside due to the strong wind; the outside area is attached to kids playground and nice view). However, the upper area is adequate as well. The foods are lovely, we ordered Chicken Biryani, Shawarma Platter, Chicken Alfredo Pasta and some kids meals (turns out they all came in really big portion with those prices!) The service was excellent, servers are friendly and helpful

A Perfect Traditional Breakfast Find - Skip the Hotel! We stumbled upon this gem while on a weekend getaway, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Tucked away in a beautiful, calm neighborhood, the location is just perfect for a relaxed start to the day. The food was absolutely fantastic, you can immediately taste the quality and freshness in every bite. It was genuinely so much better than the standard breakfast offered at our hotel. But the best part was the people. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel like regulars even though it was our first visit. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. If you're in the area, I can't recommend this place enough. It’s a must-visit.
