Al Bustan Palace, a Ritz-Carlton Hotel, is a luxurious establishment located on the edge of Muscat. Originally built as the palace of Sultan Qaboos, it offers grand amenities such as multiple restaurants, pools, and a spa. The hotel's opulent features include stunning swim-up rooms, palm gardens with hammocks, and a Six Senses spa offering 24-carat gold facials.
We truly loved the resort — not only for its beautiful and classy ambiance, but also for the impeccable service that made us feel genuinely valued. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with a level of care and attention that reflects true VIP hospitality. Every corner of the property radiates elegance and refinement. The staff were professional, attentive, and consistently gracious. A special word of thanks goes to Ms. Maria, the resort manager, whose leadership and personal touch elevated the entire experience. She ensured that every detail was handled seamlessly and that we felt cared for throughout our stay. This resort has earned our loyalty. It offers the perfect balance of luxury, warmth, and high-standard service — a place we will gladly return to and recommend with full confidence.

The stay was amazing. The place was very quiet, which made it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The booking included free access to the family beach, pool, a small kids water park, and also a ladies beach. Breakfast was impressive, offering a wide variety of food from different regions to suit all tastes. There are also small convenience shops on-site, which was very handy. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly. I really appreciated the welcoming gesture of coffee and dates upon arrival. The only downside is that the hotel is located about 30 minutes away from the center of Muscat, so taxi rides can be a bit pricey.
Zainab A — Google review
I booked the resort day pass for 20 OMR, which includes 10 OMR credit to use at the Blu Bar. The staff were very cooperative, and the experience was excellent! You get unlimited water and towels, plus full access to all the pools and the private beach, basically everything outdoors. There are also showers and changing rooms (no lockers though). I had a really relaxing day, definitely worth it!
Sain — Google review
The location of this hotel in the bay is simply breathtaking – the views of the sea are stunning, and the beach is perfect for snorkeling. The Deluxe Rooms with sea view are attractive, but it is clear that some of them are older and show signs of wear. It would be worthwhile for management to consider investing in refurbishing these rooms to enhance the guest experience. The service is courteous and helpful, although it lacks a personal touch that would make a stay truly memorable. The food is good, yet not quite at the level of a Ritz Carlton. The pool area is inviting, and the staff are very attentive and accommodating. A crucial aspect that could set this hotel apart in the long term is its environmental responsibility. The hotel’s private reef is a unique and valuable asset. Protecting it from destructive fishing practices, such as trawling with nets, would not only preserve the natural beauty and marine life but also establish the hotel as a leader in eco-tourism. By actively promoting sustainable practices and safeguarding the marine ecosystem, the hotel could create a distinctive identity among the region’s five-star properties and provide a truly responsible and forward-thinking experience for guests. Developing eco-tourism initiatives here would offer enormous potential: from guided snorkeling tours that respect the reef, to educational programs about marine conservation. Such measures would ensure that the pristine environment remains intact for future visitors and provide a meaningful, sustainable experience that aligns with global trends in responsible travel. It would be a real loss if the reef and marine life were compromised, as this is one of the hotel’s greatest natural advantages.

I had a wonderful experience at Al Bustan Palace Hotel. The atmosphere is truly elegant and relaxing, and the hotel offers an exceptional combination of luxury and comfort. The staff were extremely professional, friendly, and always willing to help with a genuine smile. Their attention to detail made my stay unforgettable. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed with a stunning view. The service was fast and efficient, and everything was organized perfectly. The restaurant was another highlight — the food was delicious, fresh, and offered great variety. The breakfast buffet had many options to choose from, and the dining experience was excellent thanks to the attentive staff and pleasant ambiance. I highly recommend Al Bustan Palace Hotel to anyone looking for a high-quality stay and outstanding hospitality. Definitely one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had.

Rooms are pretty small for the price tag' and the walls are very thin from room to the hallways. Over all a decent hotel good breakfast its just not worth the price tag. Also this is good to keep in mind at any hotel in Oman if you ask the concierge to get you a can it will be 3 times what it should be as the taxi system is designed to absolutely rip of tourist. Always us the taxi app and walk off property of you have to it will save you between 25 and 75 usd per ride.
Jonathan H — Google review
Everything in the hotel lobby is lovely. It would be great to have more staff available to serve the café visitors. By the way, the baked cheesecake is absolutely delicious! The staff member was good, but she didn’t notice that there were no tissues on the table. Also, the restroom cleanliness could use a bit more attention.

Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Muscat, was absolutely exceptional. The hotel itself is stunning, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was the outstanding service we received from Mr. Can Gezen. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to fulfill every wish we had. His professionalism and genuine care turned our stay into something truly special. Thank you, Mr. Gezen, for making our time at the Ritz-Carlton so memorable — you are a true example of world-class hospitality! Room Number 131 Yilmaz

The Chedi Muscat is a luxurious beachfront hotel that has been a favorite among travelers since its opening in 2003. Renovated in 2019, the hotel boasts a blend of Arabesque and Asian design elements, with a stunning swimming pool and 162 guest rooms and suites. The Beach Restaurant offers sophisticated dining with modern Arabesque design and exquisite cuisine featuring local seafood and playful, modern dishes.
During my stay at The Chedi, I had a truly wonderful breakfast experience thanks to the outstanding service provided by Millet and Alpita. They were extremely attentive, kind, and professional at all times. Always with a warm smile, they anticipated my needs and made me feel special, creating a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. Beyond the quick and efficient service, they showed genuine care, which made my breakfast not only delicious but also memorable. It is very rewarding to meet professionals so dedicated and passionate about what they do. I would like to sincerely thank and congratulate Millet and Alpita for making such a difference in my hotel experience. I highly recommend the breakfast at The Chedi — not only for the excellent food but also for the exceptional service from the team.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at The Chedi — it was so peaceful that we never even felt the need to leave the resort! The grounds are beautifully spacious, and even though the hotel appeared to be fully booked, it never felt crowded. There was always plenty of space at all three pools and restaurants, which made our stay even more enjoyable. A special thank you to Pandiyan, who took such great care of us by the pool with thoughtful touches like refreshing fruit skewers, and to Mirat, who made our breakfasts delightful and my birthday dinner at the beach restaurant truly memorable. Their genuine warmth and attention made our stay exceptional.
Jade K — Google review
The entire team was exceptionally friendly and attentive - from the servers to the cleaning staff, everyone went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. A special mention to Pandiyan, who took such great care of us by the pool. He served our food and drinks with genuine warmth and a constant smile. His thoughtful and professional service made our time by the pool truly relaxing and enjoyable.
Laura F — Google review
We had a few small issues at check-in, but the manager resolved everything quickly within the first 24 hours, and from then on our stay was absolutely perfect. The food at the main restaurant was excellent throughout our stay, and the staff there were consistently attentive and welcoming, which made every meal a real pleasure. But the absolute highlight of our experience was Pandiyan at the Serai Pool. He went far beyond what we could have expected – always attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely kind. His care and attention made us feel so well looked after, and he was a big part of why our stay was so memorable.
Olivia B — Google review
We had an incredible stay at the Chedi. The design and landscaping at this hotel are timeless and I can see us returning for many years to come. The brunch was excellent value, but in general I would say the F&B prices are very high for the quality. A special shout out to the amazing staff who were honestly faultless - particularly Pandiyan at the beach who really went above and beyond to make us feel special.
Jade D — Google review
Went for a pool day with a daily pass and loved it! The pool is stunning, with direct beach access. They also have a sauna, steam room, and a fully equipped gym. Everything else is great, just the food could use some improvement. Overall, a really nice spot to relax for the day.
Amelia — Google review
We had an amazing stay at this Amazing Hotel (the best 5 star in Oman)! The location is perfect — right by the sea, peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are stylish, clean, and very comfortable, with great attention to detail. The breakfast was delicious and made with fresh local ingredients,Jenny make a great service, A special mention to Morris, who made our stay unforgettable — always friendly, helpful, and full of great tips about the Oman. His kindness and hospitality truly made the difference. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for an authentic and relaxing experience in Oman!
Emanuele C — Google review
As the founder of UEvents Global, we requested to host a lunch at the beach restaurant for our 120-guest wedding in Oman. We worked closely with Mr. Deepak Sharma and Mr. Mohammad Khaleel from the F&B team, and throughout the entire process we were genuinely amazed by their professionalism, support, service, and warm personalities. They accommodated every request with complete flexibility, and the food and hospitality for the post-wedding brunch were outstanding. My experience with Mr. Deepak, in particular, was exceptional — he is one of the most genuine gentlemen I have met in my 20-year career. This was a true learning lesson for anyone in the service industry: when people care, it shows. We felt genuinely valued and incredibly well taken care of.

The Kempinksi Muscat is an amazing place. Rooms are big and with Younes we had a great roomservice! In general the Service is amazing and leaves no space for open wishes. Food in all restaurants we tried (The Kitchen, Sou Soi and Zale - with it’s amazing view) are really excellent. Same as the service at the pool. Really nothing to complain about but a lot to thank for. That was definitely not our last stay herr.

Kempinski Muscat has been an incredible experience from the moment you walk into the gorgeous lobby, all the way to our room and to the facilities/amenities of the property. A few standouts: - Housekeeping: Api was absolutely incredible, his attention to detail was unreal and each day he made our room feel fresh and clean. We met him in the corridor and his attitude, heartwarming personality and a befall great character was a delight which made us feel safe and happy. - SoiSoi: the ladies at this restaurant were sensational. Huge shoutout to Rungtiwa and Pasnipha for their lovely service - this made the food taste 10x better! They always approached with a smile and gave us lovely stories of their life in Thailand. Vanlapa the team manager made EXCELLENT drinks and on a day I was feeling down about situations at home, she shared stories of her life and without knowing, made my day much better. To top off a lovely dinner, they offered us desserts wishing us a safe flight home. I wish nothing but the best for them and wish for them to be promoted or to have a raise, they absolutely deserve it. - Sophie at the check in desk was an absolute delight to speak to. The food, the service, the facilities and location of Kempinski make this a must-stay location if you come to Muscat.

Countdown at the Kempinski is always a wonderful spot to relax and unwind. The setting is beautiful — stylish, comfortable, and perfect for both sunset drinks or a chilled evening out. The service is consistently excellent, with the entire team making you feel welcome and well looked after. A special mention to Sheila and Hamood, who went above and beyond to make our visit extra special — friendly, professional, and attentive throughout. The happy hour deals are great value, and the atmosphere is just right for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet drink. Highly recommend Countdown for anyone looking for great service, great ambiance, and great value!

Nestled in the vibrant Shatti Al Qurum Beach Area of Muscat, W Muscat is a stylish and upscale hotel offering chic and modern rooms and suites. The property is conveniently located within walking distance of the royal Opera House Muscat and a short drive from attractions like the Old Souq, Mattrah Corniche, and Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque.
The W Hotel Muscat is truly one of a kind. I’ve stayed in hotels all around the world, and this is by far one of the few that really understands what a guest wants. Compared to other hotels in Oman, yes, it is on the pricey side—but in my opinion, it’s absolutely worth every penny. The facilities, entertainment, and food are excellent, making it a perfect choice whether you’re traveling for work or pleasure. It’s also a fantastic option for families, as you’ll find plenty to keep both adults and kids entertained. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere makes you feel welcomed and relaxed. The food was also a highlight—high quality, varied, and consistently well-prepared. Everything about this hotel feels carefully thought out to create the best possible guest experience. Overall, I would highly recommend W Hotel Muscat. Whether you’re here for two or three days of leisure, or even a work trip, you’ll enjoy every moment of your stay.
Farhad D — Google review
Our one-week stay was absolutely amazing — the hospitality and service were beyond exceptional. The hotel itself is beautiful, and the amenities are wonderful. We were even upgraded to a fantastic suite! It’s a truly family-friendly hotel with incredibly friendly staff who are always ready to help. Special thanks to Daniela, Varun, Alhattab, Romeo, and the housekeeping team — you all made our stay exceptional! The food portions at the restaurants are fantastic. We ordered several times from WET Deck, tried the room service, and the portions were unbelievable — great value and taste. Good ice cream, chicken wings, nachos and calamari. They also have infinity pool with specific opening hours. If there’s one small area for improvement, it would be the breakfast options, especially for families staying for a longer period. The hotel is also conveniently located near the beach and other great restaurants. Overall, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Amazing team and an unforgettable experience! ❤️

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel, and the experience truly lived up to our expectation. The rooms were spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The hotel’s attention to detail is evident everywhere: from the stunning décor and ambiance to the thoughtful touches throughout. It strikes the perfect balance between comfort and contemporary style. The service was exceptional, and every staff member (from Reception and poolside to Housekeeping and the restaurants) was warm, friendly, and eager to help. Breakfast was a real highlight, offering a fantastic selection of dishes with plenty of options to suit every preference. Asma at Harvest restaurant (where we had breakfast everyday) was kind and always welcomed us warmly. The pool was inviting, with excellent poolside service that made relaxing by the water even more enjoyable. The hotel’s restaurants also offered outstanding dining experiences. We stayed here to celebrate our daughter’s birthday, and the Welcome Office team made the celebration truly unforgettable. A special thank you to Caroline and Daniela, who went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for her special day. Their kindness and effort meant so much to us and made the occasion one we will always remember. A heartfelt shout out to our room stylists Eliyaz, Sankalp, Arif, and Omray for their exceptional housekeeping. Our room was always impeccably made up with great care and attention to detail. Every day, we returned to a beautifully refreshed space where everything we could possibly need had been thoughtfully arranged. Overall, our experience was exceptional from start to finish. It’s a five-star hotel that absolutely deserves its rating, and we can’t wait to return!

I had the pleasure of being served by Elizabeth at the Living Room Bar recently, and she was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I sat down, she was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. Her friendly demeanor and calm presence created such a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere—it felt like being taken care of by someone who truly enjoys what they do. Elizabeth was quick to offer helpful suggestions and knew the menu inside and out. It’s rare to come across service that feels this thoughtful and consistent. Elizabeth truly elevates the experience at the Living Room Bar, and I’ll definitely be returning.thank you.

W Hotel Muscat is a truly remarkable place that blends modern luxury with a vibrant and trendy atmosphere. From the moment you enter, you feel the unique style and energy that set it apart from any other hotel in the city. The design is bold and contemporary, while still offering warmth and comfort. Its restaurants are outstanding, serving a wide range of delicious dishes that suit every taste. One of the highlights of staying here is the chance to enjoy the stunning view of the sea, especially during sunset, which creates an unforgettable experience. Whether for dining, relaxation, or simply enjoying the lively vibe, W Muscat is an exceptional destination.

We had a fantastic stay at the W Muscat — truly a five-star experience! The hotel is stunning, modern, and impeccably clean. Every staff member we encountered was polite, attentive, and eager to go the extra mile to make us feel valued. Our room was exceptionally spacious, with a breathtaking view of the sea and pool, a very comfortable bed, and countless thoughtful touches that made it feel genuinely world-class. A big shoutout to the team at Harvest — we had breakfast there multiple mornings, and it was consistently exceptional. The spread was a perfect mix of Western favorites and local Omani classics, and the service was impeccable, friendly, and courteous every time. One minor downside was noticing a few rude European tourists treating staff poorly, which was disappointing to see. However, the staff handled these situations with grace and professionalism. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. The next time we’re in Muscat, there’s no question we’ll be staying at the W again. Highly recommended!

Huge thanks to Hassan, who went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great time. Also, don’t miss the Peking duck at Ba Ban — honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Overall, amazing service, great food, and the perfect vibe. Can’t wait to come back!

This beach is truly a gem! It's incredibly lively, with people of all ages enjoying themselves. You can hear the laughter of children building sandcastles, the cheerful chatter of families having picnics, and the energetic music from beach volleyball games. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it easy to get into the holiday spirit.

It was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. The sound of the ocean was soothing the soul as well as watching people enjoying themselves on the beach by playing football. The scenery was indescribable beautiful and I was taken a back of the beauty. This is a beautiful stretch of sand, extending for about 5km. When we visited there in the evening were no loungers or umbrellas, nothing on the beach at all to help you relax. It was a lovely stroll and very picturesque as well as being shallow so you could stand up 50m out into the water. There are number of eateries and cafes along the beach and even shopping centers. The Qurum beach is located in an up market place of Muscat where most of the 5 star hotels are housed along the waterfront. Really beautiful evening place to stroll. But be careful to dress modesty.

A calm and quiet beach near Muscat, perfect for a relaxing family outing. The shoreline is shallow, making it safe for children and ideal for leisurely wading. The beach is well-maintained, with plenty of parking 🅿️ available for visitors. There's also a convenient cafeteria located right across the road, offering refreshments with a view.

Qurum Beach is popularly known for its golden sand, Sun bathing and vibrant atmosphere. The beach is situated in a developed area of Muscat, close to major hotels, the Royal Opera House, and the Muscat Grand Mall. This Beach is ideal for swimming, as the water is calm, clear, and shallow. You can also try surfing, as the waves are moderate and consistent. A paved pathway runs alongside the beach, offering a great place for a stroll or jog with views of the sea. The best time to visit Qurum Beach is from October to April. The beach hosts many events throughout the year, such as concerts, fireworks, sports, and cultural shows. Qurum Beach is a paradise for beach lovers, and offers a wide range of activities and sports that can be enjoyed by anyone !!!

A perfect family escape! Qurum Beach is a gem—ideal for families and kids. The shallow waters, low tides, and gentle waves make it super safe for little ones to enjoy. The beach is clean, well-maintained, and there’s ample parking available. It’s especially magical during sunset—watching the sky change colors while waves gently lap the shore is pure bliss. After twilight, the vibe turns serene and refreshing. A small lawn perched above the beach, dotted with palm trees, adds a lush tropical touch. Paradiso.

The resort boasts five diverse restaurants, a dive center, and inviting outdoor pools. Our family had the most amazing stay at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah! From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything was just perfect. The staff were incredible — so helpful, friendly, and genuinely caring. Everyone we met had such a positive attitude and paid attention to every little detail, which made us feel so welcome and looked after. A very special thank you to Shintia, who went above and beyond to make our stay truly special — she’s wonderful! And to the Al Tanoor pastry chef for the best Umm Ali in town! We also loved our experience with Khalid, the frankincense sommelier — such a unique and fascinating part of the stay. And a big thank-you to Raj and Rumi for the amazing visit to the Classic Car Museum — it was such a fun and memorable experience. The resort itself is stunning — beautiful surroundings, great facilities, and such a peaceful atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you to the whole Shangri-La team for making our family trip so special. We can’t wait to come back!

michaela at chow mee was the best - always accomodating - fit us in last minute when we forgot to make reservations. she was also at the beach hotel and made our stay very comfortable. she was so friendly and had a smiling face even when the restaurant is busy she was able to deal with every situation calmly. all her staff seem to love her- she is true hard working credit to the hotel. special mention to suhail who cleaned our room and stocked everything up with water bottles. the room was spotless everyday - amazing suhail and always greeting us with a smile. dawud in pool was so friednly moving my phone incase it fell in the pool - found shiny sea shellls from the beach to give my kids. always attentive friendly amazing and so was sangeeth the lifeguard. always checking on my kids when swimming and vigilant, smiling and friendly. incredible service also from murthi making us the best dosa ever at breakfast- didnt even have to ask as soon as he sees our faces he knows what to make us everyday - best chef ever.then shintai went out of her way to get us a late checkout - smiling / happy to help- no task too small for her.we made lasting friends at shangri la- bit far from town centre but the ambiance of the incredible beach and the people who work here make it well worth the stay. we will be returning very soon. facilities are amazing -

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and well cared for. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly, attentive, and thoughtful What stood out most was how caring they were with my 3-year-old. They always took a moment to talk to her, made sure she was comfortable, and even offered little gestures that made her smile. Their attentiveness made traveling with a young child so much easier and far more enjoyable. The hotel itself was clean, well-maintained, and relaxing, but it was the exceptional staff that really made our stay special. A special mention to Mary Ann and Thaw From Ava and family

Fantastic trip to this resort. All amenities included, amazing food and drink (incl. alcohol), cannot fault the service, staff and options. It's out of the way in a private bay, so trips into town have to be organised by taxi/car/bus, which was not a problem. They have an ATM to take out OR in the lobby (handy) and a small shopping mall for gifts and souvenirs as well. Pool with a 'lazy river' and access to the beach with life guards. Breakfast selection was also amazing. Rooms are generous and air conditioned, we had a balcony. Place is incredibly clean, no problems with bugs etc. There is a towel service for the pool and a pool bar with very decent food and drink options, too. It can get a bit chaotic with drinks ordering during dinner but all relaxed.

I genuinely expected a world-class experience from Shangri-La Al Jissah, but the visit to their bar/restaurant (The Circle) was honestly pathetic. This is absolutely not what you expect from a 5-star resort, and definitely not worth the cost they charge. Despite having lots of staff standing around, no one seemed interested in doing their job. We waited an unnecessarily long time just for someone to come and take our order. It almost felt like they were pretending to be busy while guests kept waiting. For a property that charges around 200 OMR per night, you expect at least basic attentiveness and efficiency. Even the interiors were disappointing — nothing special, nothing luxurious. After paying such a premium, you expect some warmth, ambience, and thoughtful design, but the place felt plain and lacking charm. Overall, a deeply underwhelming experience for a resort that claims to be 5-star. Definitely not worth the hype or cost.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable weekend at Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah, Muscat! My wife and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Resort, and every single detail exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly Omani staff — their genuine hospitality made us feel at home right away. The resort itself is stunning — set between the majestic mountains and the turquoise sea, with beautifully landscaped gardens and a private beach that feels like paradise. We loved waking up to the breathtaking sea view and enjoying long walks along the shore. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every meal was a delight, from breakfast to dinner. During the same weekend, we also explored Muscat and fell in love with the city. We visited Mutrah Souq, Mutrah Fort, and the Sultan’s Palace, each offering a glimpse of Oman’s rich culture and history. Dinner at Luban Restaurant was fantastic, and later we enjoyed a relaxing coffee overlooking the sea and the beautiful Mutrah Corniche — the perfect ending to a magical trip. Overall, this was one of our best getaways ever — a perfect mix of luxury, culture, and warm Omani hospitality. Highly recommended for couples and families looking for a peaceful and memorable escape in Oman!

We recently had a fantastic stay at this hotel and were thoroughly impressed. One of the first things we noticed was how wonderfully spacious the rooms are. There was more than enough space for our entire family to spread out and relax without feeling cramped, which was a huge plus. However, the true highlight was the staff. They were incredibly agile and accommodating, which is a lifesaver when you're traveling with family. No request seemed too big or small, and they were always quick to respond to our constantly changing needs with a smile. Their proactive and friendly service really made our stay special. To top it all off, the hotel boasts great amenities and services that were all well-maintained and enjoyable. The location is also very convenient, making it easy to get around and explore the area. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families looking for a comfortable stay with outstanding service. We'll definitely be looking to book here again on our next trip!

Not really grand. Dated rooms with a strange smell. Good pool area and good service. The beach in front of the hotel is not nice at all, and it's not a place where I would actually swim (and no beach club etc.). Worth spending a little more and getting an actually nice hotel nearby.

I stayed only for 1 night; the hotel is beautifully designed and the rooms are super clean and spacious. However, they are realllyyggy outdated and need refurbishment! Even the room didn’t have sockets next to the bed to charge your phone for instance. You hear weird sounds when you use the toilet and the water flow from the shower is a disaster! On the positive side, i had diner at the Italian restaurant and the food and service were top quality and tasty. Breakfast was super basic (especially for. 5 star hotel) the Gym has good equipments but is dull. Staff service (except the reception check in) was also very good ! Super friendly.

Wow.. I almost regret leaving reviews like this incase places become too popular and spoil the tranquility. Firstly the hotel’s reception area is pure beauty with such detail to Omans heritage and spender. The new swimming pool and outside areas , again; well thought out and tastefully finished and even better at night with the lighting . We did have to move rooms from the 4th floor as we where over the nightclub which had loud music until 3am however it was no problem at all for the reception who where again increadable welcoming polite and accommodating. The concierge team where equally helpful and even helped arrange for our fish from our fishing trip be prepared by the kitchen who I would especially like to thank. The relaxed sports bar was a great start to the evening, quiet but served its purpose and again welcoming staff. If I was to criticise anything it would be the cost of drinking and dining, all very high end but unfortunately I feel the prices kept the restaurant and bars very quite , and as there is so much around the hotel that is a fraction of the price they could maybe offer more cost effective incentives or packages . A note on the rooms, they are very comfortable and specious however rather than “Google Cast” Netflix and Prime could be an option on the TV and add some USB ports . All in all one of the best hotels I’ve stay out in my life of travel. Well done everyone. You will be seeing us again very soon.

We had a great experience at Jumeirah Muscat Bay & we are already planning on returning in the future. It's a beautifully designed hotel with spacious modern rooms, breathtaking views and brilliant staff. I am very, very grateful to the cleaning crew who always helped to make our room feel like home - nice & clean & comfortable. I think the cleaner who cleaned our room was called Abdul Qadir and we are very, very happy with the service we received. The staff at the front (valets, reception etc.) were all very friendly and smily & made our experience that much more pleasant. The breakfast was fantastic - great selection & great taste. I have already recommended Jumeirah Muscat Bay to other family members & plan to return in the future, God-willing.

Never have I stayed at a hotel as elegant as Jumeirah Muscat Bay. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed - greeted with a refreshing drink, a smooth and flawless check-in, and even a complimentary room upgrade. The room itself was spacious, modern, and spotless, with breathtaking views that are truly unforgettable. Breakfast was exceptional - well-organised, delicious, and with an efficient system that meant no queues at the live stations. Easily one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. The kids’ club and pool were fantastic, with friendly staff who made our children feel right at home. The beach and surrounding views are stunning, with plenty of loungers and attentive staff providing cold water throughout the day. Social media mentioned complimentary ice creams and fruits, but we didn’t receive any - a small miss in an otherwise perfect experience. Service across the hotel was outstanding - a professional, warm, and attentive. I’d highly recommend avoiding weekends (Fri–Sat) as it does get busier. Water sports like kayaking are available (a bit on the pricey side), and although we didn’t spot any turtles, it was still a great experience. There’s also free valet parking, a well-equipped gym (though without a view), and paddle courts that are best enjoyed in the evening due to the heat. All in all, the best four nights of our Oman stay - truly world-class hospitality in a stunning location.

Was there for a business meeting at Jumeirah Muscat Bay hotel. Ambience was simple, not very opulent, ..simplicity has it's own beauty and this hotel is a good example. Views of the bay from the balcony were mesmerising and great to enjoy with an evening coffee. Staff very well trained and helping. Parking, unfortunately, was a bit limited and I had to explain why I had to park there. Lobby is at the 5th floor.. was kind of lost before I found the meeting location.

A fantastic stay. Excellent service. Our room was not ready for hours and we couldn’t make a reservation for their italian restaurant on half board. Giving us little restaurant choice during our stay. Hotel made it up with a lunch for the inconvenience. Calm, welcoming, beautiful views. Except the pool tiles that are coming off. Need to improve the restaurant choices, services hours. When on half board you should have a booking priority in the restaurants.

I want to say a big thank you to the front desk team for their excellent service. Everyone was very professional and truly outstanding. They explained all the hotel facilities and its history with such warmth and energy. The Sultanah team took equally good care of us during all our meals (both breakfast and afternoon tea). They paid attention to every little detail and made us feel special throughout our stay. One of the best parts was when the Chef came to personally welcome us and explain the breakfast menu. We loved all the food both times. Everything from how beautifully the dishes were presented to how delicious they tasted was perfect. The fried fish was honestly the best I've ever had. It wasn't just breakfast - it was a special experience we looked forward to every morning. I also really appreciated the free cultural tour with Khalid. He shared us so much about Oman's history and culture, as well as the hotel's background. He was extremely kind and made the tour very enjoyable. What makes this hotel special is that every department works together to provide amazing service. Rooms are big and impeccably clean. Mini bar is always full and replenished daily; you can drink and eat everything in the mini bar. The room we got has an excellent view of the sea. There's so many restaurants to choose from, as there are three main properties located next to each other. Food is excellent, including the breakfast spread. There's really nothing to complain about, in my opinion.

Hotel is nice and scenic. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Overall all service is certainly below the average for similar luxury hotels more specifically in the F&B. We were group of 10 people and tried multiple restaurants. Although we always go with bookings and pre agreed set menus yet the starter takes about 45 minutes to be served. Our experience in the sea food restaurant was not good in terms of delay yet at the Italian restaurant it was extremely horrible where some of us left before they get their main course (we had to wait more than 2 hours for the main course). We tried to speak to the Italian restaurant manager but he did not bother answering us.

Hello, I was invited by a friend in this hotel. It was amazing, room very clean and breakfast too. We took the option Afternoon Tea at 25 OMR but we didn’t like. It’s a little ridiculous this afternoon tea because you get just some around 4 little fingers food not really luxury. I can make by myself some of them. The view is beautiful but don’t take tea time. The stay was perfect except this afternoon tea. Thanks you

This magnificent carpet was hand-woven by over 600 women, using 1.7 million knots and took over 4 years to complete.Apart from its architectural and design marvels, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is also a symbol of religious tolerance and inclusivity. The mosque welcomes visitors of all faiths, allowing them to appreciate the beauty and grandeur of Islamic architecture and culture. Moreover, the mosque also offers guided tours, giving visitors an opportunity to learn about Islam and the history of the mosque. In conclusion, the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is a must-visit for anyone traveling to Oman. With its stunning architecture, beautiful gardens, and a rich cultural and religious significance, a visit to this mosque is an enriching and unforgettable experience. Non-Muslim visitors can enter the mosque from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, Saturday to Thursday, and must dress modestly, covering arms, legs, and for women, the head

One of the finest architecture in world. Majestic and beautiful. This place exudes omani grandeur and is a mixture of Islamic architectures all over world. Women need to cover head and dress appropriately to cover the whole body. Men should avoid shorts. Non muslims can enter only 8 AM to 11 AM except Friday. Take atleast 1.5 hours in hand to explore the palace and garden. Main done is behind the small done. Make sure to have a water bottle as lots of things to be explored. By 11:30 guards start preparing the place for namaz prayer. It looks excellent in night from outside. Muslims can enter any time for prayer

Beautiful mosque. Built between 1994 and 2001 on a previously free land from the will of the sultan in order to give to Muscat the right place to pray between tradition and modernity. The outside is big with fountains, plants and flowers. Then there is the mosque, outside is magnificent and beautiful to admire with his Carrara's marble (always cleaned and polished), towers and structures. The inside is beautiful too with a chandelier of 8 tons and a beautiful Iranian carpet. A different with other mosque I saw is that here is not possibile to sit and some area of the mosque are fenced. It's possible to roam outside though the halls that are really nice through the morning light (inside, the mosque is open only from 8 to 11). The entrance is free, and the clothes must be respectful.

Absolutely stunning place. The Grand Mosque of Muscat is truly breathtaking, from the intricate carpets to the magnificent chandeliers, every detail reflects beauty and serenity. Even if you don’t get the chance to explore every part of it, simply being there is an experience on its own. It’s a peaceful, inspiring place that I highly recommend visiting. A must-see in Muscat.

The mosque is the definition of magnificient!!!! The grand mosque is just too beautiful , you cant imagine or can see the true beauty from images or videos, perdonally visit this mosque and feel it. Womens can also visit it but only before 11Am also with modest dressing. So keep in mind before visiting. I visited on saturday and it was closed but still got entry as i said "i was going for a prayer" Note:- Dont take videos of the gaurds its not allowed if they found out they will ask ypu to delete the video even from recycle bin Visited on 30th August 2025

The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is absolutely breathtaking. The architecture is immaculate; marble courtyards glowing in the sun, detailed carvings everywhere, and a main prayer hall that feels both grand and deeply peaceful. It’s also free to visit, which still surprises me given how impressive the place is. At the entrance, they provide modest clothing free of charge, which makes the experience easy and respectful for everyone. The staff are welcoming and organized, and the explanations about the mosque’s history are clear without being overwhelming. Whether you’re into architecture, culture, or just want a serene moment, this mosque is a must-see in Muscat. It’s one of those places that stays with you long after you leave.

InterContinental Muscat, an IHG Hotel, offers elegant accommodations with access to restaurants, bars, outdoor pools, and a beautiful beach. The hotel features the Executive Club Lounge on the fourth floor where guests can enjoy luxurious dining areas and complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails.
We booked an 11 night stay as I am a platinum Ambassador with IHG. The pre arrival mail was a nice touch followed by the checking in process which was overseen expertly and with great skill by Saleem who managed to arrange lounge access for a reasonable cost. Room was a good standard with a sea view. Overall the staff made the stay. It was clear the standard was being set from the top down. I had a chat with the executive chef during breakfast and at the not to be missed Asian buffet night who really wanted to know if I had any concerns it was nice to be able to say no. All was good for us. The lounge staff were exceptional. A seriously good team of staff who made the use of the lounge very pleasurable indeed. We ate at 3 of the restaurants and all were good along with a few nights in the bar also enjoyable.

Breakfast Buffet was excellent with a lot of options. I would like to thank Faisal, Jovi, Chatterya and Manager Basheem Al Khalid for their hospitality. I appreciate how wonderful you made my experience.

Perfect 👍 Here’s a polished TripAdvisor-style positive review for Tomato Restaurant and Corazon Hgari: ⸻ 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Excellent Dining Experience at Tomato Restaurant! I had an amazing experience at Tomato Restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, with a lovely setup that made dining a real pleasure. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every dish showed real attention to detail, and you could tell the chefs put care into every plate. A special mention goes to Corazon Hgari, our waitress, who made the evening even more enjoyable. She was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive throughout our meal. Corazon’s warm personality and excellent service truly stood out — she made sure everything was perfect and went above and beyond to make us feel valued. Overall, I highly recommend Tomato Restaurant for anyone looking for great food, a relaxing atmosphere, and exceptional service. I’ll definitely be returning soon! 🍅✨

My recent visit to Intercontinental Trader Vicks in Muscat was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. The place has a wonderful atmosphere — warm, lively, and welcoming — making it one of the best dining and social spots in the city. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. A special mention goes to the outstanding management team, particularly Mr. Maiir and Mr. Abdul Latheef, who truly define what genuine hospitality means. Their dedication, attention to detail, and sincere efforts to make every guest feel valued are remarkable. They always go above and beyond to ensure everyone has a perfect experience, and it shows in every aspect of the restaurant’s service. The food at Trader Vicks is another highlight — a wonderful blend of flavors, freshness, and presentation. The quality is consistently top-notch, with a wide selection of dishes to suit all tastes. Every item I tried was beautifully prepared and full of authentic taste. Whether you’re going for a relaxed dinner, a celebration, or just to enjoy a great evening out, Trader Vicks Muscat never disappoints. The ambiance, service, and food together create an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Muscat. Truly one of the best spots in town, with the most welcoming and profess time

Just had the most amazing stay here. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff were exceptional and a special mention must go to the Club Lounge team - Alya, Dawood, Marina, Chef Salwa, Melisa and Ana. They looked after us so well. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Also Chef Sunny who prepared meals that were coeliac safe for my son. He went over and above. Can’t wait to come back.

A home away from home! Going to the Palm Club feels like visiting friends. The staff are always so friendly, welcoming, and encouraging. I’ve been a member for over 20 years, and I can honestly say it’s been a wonderful experience throughout. The gym is fantastic — well-equipped, clean, and comfortable — and the pool is a proper, swimmable long pool, with a leisure pool on the side for relaxing. The jacuzzi and sauna are great too! Special thanks to Faizal, who is always motivating and supportive — a true ambassador for the club. Every visit feels like spending time with family while getting a great workout. I absolutely love being part of the Palm Club community!

We spent a night and a day at this lovely hotel. Service was really polite and helpful and available. We arrived early and managed to check in at noon instead of 3pm. Also our flight was late on the next day and we were allowed to stay around the whole day, using the pool and facility. Location is convenient next to the beach and several restaurant outside the hotel (less expensive), however the hotel next door (W?) played very loud music at night and also next day in the afternoon, not great. The room was very clean and comfortable. Shower was very vast and the complimentory washing products of high quality. Fantastic breakfast too! Just one advise: even if this place is international and tolerate both western and traditional local clothing, I wished that someone said something to this horrible western man wearing an obsene "Pattaya - Living the dream" T-shirt with semi naked girls on it, clearly claiming that he went to Thailand to sleep with very young girls: very shocking for everyone, no matter where you're from.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel, and I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the entire team for their warm hospitality. A special thank you to Talal, Chef Krishna, and Rashid for their attentiveness, welcoming attitude, and genuine care. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure every meal was delightful. Their professionalism, polite demeanour, and friendly smiles added a personal touch that made my stay memorable. Thank you to the entire team for making me feel at home. I stayed at the Sheraton Muscat for three nights during a family wedding, and while the hotel itself was comfortable, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxed stay, what truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by Murtaza Merchant, the Head Service Associate. Throughout our stay, Murtaza ensured that every experience — from in-room dining orders and late-night snacks to our daily lunches at the restaurant — was handled with remarkable warmth and professionalism. He personally looked after every request with genuine care and attention. One gesture I really appreciated was when he prepared a special lemon iced tea for me — and I honestly have to say it was one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s thoughtful touches like these that make a hotel stay feel personal. Across the three days of wedding events, the schedule was busy and unpredictable, yet Murtaza remained consistently calm, accommodating, and committed to making sure everything ran smoothly for us. He checked on us regularly without being intrusive, anticipated what we might need at the table, and made sure every detail was taken care of. His friendly nature, positive attitude, and sincere dedication truly set him apart. Outside the events, the hotel rooms were comfortable, clean, and fully functional. The staff across the property were welcoming, and the overall stay at Sheraton Muscat was excellent. I genuinely recommend the Sheraton Muscat to anyone visiting the city. And a special mention once again to Murtaza, whose hospitality and attentiveness made our stay extra memorable. His service deserves to be recognised and appreciated

The stay at the hotel was absolutely wonderful and mainly due to the staf who are so helpfull and welcoming. The rooms were also very clean and comfortable. Every morning at breakfast we were being welcomed/greeted by Agnes with her beautifull smile and always very welcoming. Mohamed and Susan were also excellent. Always very helpfull and even remembered what we liked to drink. On top of that gave us great tips to eat and visit. They were truly so kind. They always greeted you with a smile. We cant forget of course the food that has been taken care of by Darif. My complements. Lastly a big thanks to Venu who took care of our room. Anything we needed he would take care of it. Also big thanks to Suresh as he is also responsible for the rooms. The staff is absolutely excellent. They truly take care of you and always Greet you with a wonderfull smile. I cant wait to visit Muscat again and stay at the Sheraton hotel.

Best value for money! I really recommend this hotel as it is well located in Muscat and offers great value for the price. You will need a car to visit the main attractions, but the area is still convenient. The facilities are excellent. The pool is great, the breakfast is very good, and the food from room service is also delicious. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and I would definitely come back.

Staying at the Sheraton Oman Hotel was an experience that blended luxury, comfort, and genuine Middle Eastern hospitality in the best way possible. The moment I stepped into the lobby, I was struck by how elegant and modern the space felt — tall ceilings, beautiful lighting, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere that instantly set the tone for the stay. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable. The beds were the kind you sink into and forget the outside world, and the large windows offered great views of Muscat’s cityscape and rugged mountains. Every detail felt thoughtful: quiet air-conditioning, high-quality linens, relaxing lighting, and a bathroom that looked like it belonged in a spa. One of the biggest highlights was the breakfast. The buffet was enormous and genuinely impressive — fresh fruit, pastries, hot dishes, Middle Eastern classics, omelets made to order, and coffee that actually tasted good. It’s the kind of breakfast you look forward to waking up for. The pool area was another standout. It felt like a calm escape from the heat, with comfortable lounge chairs and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. The fitness center was modern and well-equipped, and the staff kept everything clean and organized. Speaking of the staff — they were one of the hotel’s strongest points. Friendly, attentive, quick to help, and always polite, they made the stay feel personal. Whether it was housekeeping, the front desk, or the restaurant team, everyone treated guests with genuine warmth. Location-wise, the hotel is in a great spot: close to key attractions, easy to reach by car, and surrounded by shops and restaurants. It’s ideal for both business travelers and tourists exploring Muscat. Overall, the Sheraton Oman Hotel delivers a truly comfortable and refreshing stay, combining luxury amenities with a relaxed, welcoming vibe. I’d happily return — and recommend it to anyone visiting Muscat.

It offers 200 airy rooms and suites with sea views and is conveniently situated near cultural venues like the Royal Opera House Muscat. The hotel boasts stunning panoramic city and sea views from its clifftop location, featuring a double-deck infinity pool and a private beach overlooking the Gulf Sea.
We had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel! The quality throughout is top-notch, and the location is absolutely perfect—with direct access to a private beach and a stunning infinity pool overlooking the sea. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the receptionist. Although there was a short wait for our room, it was handled with such friendliness that it didn’t feel like an inconvenience at all. Our room was spotless, spacious, and very well-maintained, with a comfortable bed that made for restful nights. The attention to cleanliness and detail was evident everywhere. Breakfast was a daily highlight—delicious, varied, and served with exceptional hospitality. The staff made every morning feel special. The pool bar service was equally impressive; drinks were served ice-cold and almost immediately after ordering online, with noticeable attention to detail. A special thanks goes to Reem at the reception, who was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout our stay. She truly made a difference in our experience. Amazing location. Receptionist girl Reem was very polite and friendly, always smiling. Great spacious room with a balcony and sea view. Kettle and tea/coffee available. Water refilling stations are all around hotel 👍 superb breakfast. Waiters are polite and helpful. We enjoyed the infinity adults only pool and private beach. Pool bar is overpriced. No happy hours. No one helped us with our luggage during check in/ check out. Taxi in front of hotel charges double price compared to the app. Glasses fence on the cliffs should be wiped on daily basis, so guests can enjoy the sea view.

Aloft Muscat is a trendy 4-star hotel located in Muscat, Oman. The hotel offers a rooftop pool, two restaurants, and two bars, as well as a fitness center for guests to enjoy. Situated just 15 minutes' drive from the Museum of Illusions and 25 minutes' walk from Azaiba Beach, the hotel provides convenient access to popular attractions. Absolutely Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended! We had an absolutely amazing experience at this hotel from start to finish! Right from the friendly staff at the reception to the attentive room service team, everything was handled with great professionalism and warmth. The hospitality we received made us feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. The room service was impressively fast, and the entire property was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. It’s clear that the hotel takes cleanliness and guest comfort seriously. The pool area was another highlight of our stay. They have a full-time pool guard who was not only vigilant but also extremely friendly and caring — especially with kids, which we really appreciated. We also thoroughly enjoyed the steam room and jacuzzi bath — truly a memorable and relaxing experience. There’s no shortage of activities here either! From billiards and hand football to a dedicated kids' play area, there’s something fun for everyone. The only thing missing was a welcome drink, which would have been a nice touch upon arrival. But honestly, everything else more than made up for it! Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The service, cleanliness, amenities, and staff behavior were top-notch. We’re definitely coming back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Our stay at Aloft Muscat was truly delightful. We had adjacent rooms, and the staff thoughtfully arranged for them to be connected, which made our experience even more convenient. Housekeeping was excellent—our rooms were cleaned daily, and toiletries were always replenished. My friend’s toddler especially loved the play area, particularly the little slide, while all of us enjoyed spending time together at the rooftop pool. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. They provided warm milk every day for the toddler, and they helped us by decorating one of our rooms to celebrate my friend’s birthday. To top it off, they even presented us with a complimentary red velvet pastry—a wonderful and thoughtful gesture that made the occasion even more memorable. From check-in to check-out, everything was handled with efficiency and genuine warmth. We felt welcomed, cared for, and truly valued as guests. I wholeheartedly recommend Aloft Muscat for anyone seeking a comfortable stay with exceptional service and personal touches.

Un Séjour et un Dîner Fabuleux à l'Aloft Muscat ! (A Fabulous Stay and Dinner at Aloft Muscat!) Magnifique! Our whole group, traveling from France, had a truly exceptional stay and, most notably, a delightful dinner at the Aloft Muscat. The service and food quality were simply incroyable (incredible). Everything on our plates was prepared with finesse, making our family dinner a real culinary treat. I must give a special, heartfelt mention to the incredible team who elevated our evening to a level of true hospitalité (hospitality). Ali, the restaurant in-charge, led his team with such grace. His colleagues, Ganesh and Rahma the hostess who greeted us with a warm welcome, are absolute stars. Their attentiveness and charm made us feel like honored guests. Chapeau bas (Hats off) to the entire restaurant staff. This is a must-visit for anyone seeking an excellent meal with five-star service in Muscat. Bravo!

I had a great experience at Aloft Muscat! I had a bad experience at the reception. We were informed that the breakfast charge for kids over 6 years old was 2.5, but when we went to the restaurant after eating, they said it’s actually 5. When I mentioned that the receptionist told us 2.5, the staff said, “You go check yourself, we are not going to check for that.” I believe this is very poor service and not acceptable for guests.

Currently spending a wonderful week here and will be leaving with nothing but fond memories. The hotel is vibrant and is very nicely decorated with bright colours and positive messages throughout. The rooms are spacious and peaceful (one of our rooms on the 2nd floor was facing the Arcade bar which was quite loud at night, so would recommend getting a room on the opposite side). We opted for full board and all three meals in the restaurant were exquisite- a wide and varied buffet for breakfast and dinner, and a three course menu for lunch. Above all the service is fantastic, with everybody welcoming you and greeting you warmly on a daily basis. There are so many to mention here: from the Backstage Restaurant, thank you to Ali, Rajesh and Rahma for being so helpful and kind to me and my whole family everyday. Thank you to Chandu for making our time by the pool relaxing- he was regularly cleaning and looking after the area brilliantly. I hope to come back again as soon as possible!

The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and professional, making us feel truly pampered. I honestly can’t find a single fault; I’m puzzled why it’s rated 4 stars because, in my opinion, this hotel is a perfect 5-star gem!

I stayed in Raddison for two weeks. I had a very good time and it’s located in a very convenient place for shopping and Resturents are very close by. Also they have a wonderful set of employees, especially the Receptionists, pool attendants and room makers are very friendly and helpful. It is recommended.

Would not recommend this place. Google Maps takes you to the wrong parking lot. It’s difficult to drive in that area, especially at night. Connecting to their wifi is a process and much harder than other hotels, vpn totally blocked. Bad satellite TV connection. You can hear music from the bar at night. Beds are hard. House keeping attempted to bust into my room very early with no warning, despite my do not disturb sign. The staff are very friendly but it doesn’t make up for all the inconveniences.

Our stay in rooms 609 and 610, with executive lounge access, was exceptional, and we thoroughly enjoyed every other aspect of the property. We loved the service in our executive lounge as well. Staff was professional and highly courteous. Rooms are spacious and clean. Amenities are comfortable too. However, I am giving a one-star rating solely due to the unacceptable conduct of the reception staff during our check-out on October 21st around 2:20 PM. When booking an O-Taxi, the app location showed 'Block 303.' I approached the two staff members at the reception desk for assistance and confirmation. Instead of offering proper guidance, they were unhelpful, merely confirming the incorrect location and instructing us to exit the gate since O-Taxis were not permitted inside the premises. Crucially, they smirked and laughed at our query. This misinformation and lack of assistance resulted in my 75-year-old mother, my 10-year-old daughter, and myself waiting outside the main gate for over 15 minutes in the afternoon heat while trying to locate our ride. As a Marriott member, I expect staff to provide professional assistance and courtesy, especially when guests are traveling with elderly and young family members. I urge management to review the actions and training of the staff working the reception desk at that time.

This is my second stay at JW Marriott Muscat, and it’s always a great experience. The rooms are amazing — clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is also perfect, just about 15 minutes from almost everywhere in Muscat. Highly recommended!

The hotel itself is nothing special but very comfortable. It’s quite corporate meaning generic decor but everything is of good quality. The hat makes it stand out is the service. From the porters who were exceptionally helpful, to the wait staff particularly Sourabh in Kitchen7 and the reception team as well as the amazing room service crew they couldn’t do enough to be friendly, helpful and attentive. The Butter Buns staff also went above and beyond. The only major downside was a very very loud concert in the garden that we weren’t told about before we arrived which went on until 3am on the first night and which was a bit of a nightmare and kept us all awake - but suspect this isn’t a common occurrence. Otherwise. Facilities are good. Shame the rooms have no balconies. The pool is nice but definitely needs twice as many sunbeds and more actually in the sun but we always managed to find one after a bit of work and the actual pool is lush and well maintained! Thanks all.

☺️ Thank you to the JW Marriott Team for making our first trip to the Sultanate of Oman a positive and memorable experience. The team, from front desk to breakfast and room service, were helpful and considerate. The rooms overlooked the serene mountains and the ambience and design features both inside and outside the hotel were appreciated. We were aware that this is not located within the parameters of the city centre however, chose this hotel due to the exceptional facilities, designs of the rooms, and proximity to other areas of Oman, outside of the capital, that we were visiting during the majority of our trip.

Exemplary Service and Memorable Experience at St. Regis Muscat My recent stay at the St. Regis Hotel in Muscat was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff demonstrated an extraordinary level of attentiveness and a genuine commitment to ensuring that every aspect of my stay was not only comfortable but truly memorable. One team member in particular, Danel Amrina, went above and beyond in ways that left a lasting impression. She was incredibly welcoming, personable, and attentive to detail. During a casual conversation, I mentioned my upcoming trip to Almaty, which happens to be her hometown. To my pleasant surprise, she took the initiative to have a thoughtful package delivered to my room — complete with information about the city, as well as a selection of fruits and sweets. It was a remarkable gesture that perfectly exemplifies the St. Regis standard of personalized service. Danel is undoubtedly an asset to Marriott and to the St. Regis brand in particular. Her professionalism, warmth, and dedication to guest satisfaction reflect the highest standards of hospitality. I felt compelled to take time out of my busy schedule to recognize her exemplary performance and commitment to excellence. Kudos to St. Regis Muscat for recruiting such a talented and passionate young woman. With associates like Danel, it’s no wonder this property stands out as one of the finest luxury hotels in the region.

What a pristine experience our stay at the St. Regis was! We stayed for 11 nights, and how I wish we could’ve stayed longer! Absolutely amazing, nothing was short of extraordinary; very nice and luxurious hotel, very neat, clean, and very well kept. But putting all that aside; I whole heartedly know that our experience wouldn’t be this memorable if it wasn’t for the staff. I’ve been personally moved by how kind, nice, eloquent, friendly, accommodating, and hospitable every member we interacted with was. I enjoyed my conversations with Danel from the Butler services and I appreciate all her help and assistance. Joie and Lamya from the adventure hub were more than amazing and my 2 daughters loved going and spending time with them. I remember Ali, Saeed, and Francis from the lobby who were so very nice. Ms. Kaira (I hope I got the name right) from the front desk was extremely attentive and I appreciate it so much. Ryan and his kindness and smile. The lifeguards, the security and the hard working guys around the pool, and the guys at the pool bar, thank you guys so much, you made us feel welcome and comfortable. Deepa from housekeeping was such a sunshine; her sweet and bright smile is one I will forever remember. And last but not least, the team at Zorba where we had breakfast everyday! Seeing them was such a great start of the day. Susika and her words of affirmation every morning are like a mantra I’d forever repeat to myself now. Joy and his welcoming and attentive smile. Michael and the amazing French toast he recommended and made sure I had warm and toasty every single day. Hamzeh’s attentiveness and care for our daughters. Prity who was calm and pretty. And to all the other now familiar faces, thank you so very much. And I wish you all the best at Karibu. Cannot wait to be back and try it out! Thank you all 🤍 Room 440

He remembers guests by name, goes out of his way to accommodate individual needs, and ensures that every session — whether a workout, a swim, or just time to unwind — feels seamless and relaxing. Another special part of this stay was the butler service, where I would like to thank Ilhan for going above and beyond, from ironing services to restaurant reservations, he also provided me with interesting facts about The St. Regis and shared a passion and love for the hotel. Mutrah Souq, also known as Al Dhalam Souq, is a traditional marketplace in Muscat that offers a wide array of Omani souvenirs, handicrafts, textiles, jewelry, spices and more. This historic bazaar features narrow alleys lined with shops selling various items and retains the charm of a traditional Arab market. Visitors can explore rows of timber stalls offering Indian and Omani artifacts as well as antique goods at jewelry and textile stores.
A vibrant and authentic market experience that offers a glimpse into Oman’s cultural and commercial heritage. Highly recommended for visitors seeking traditional charm. --- ✅ Positive Aspects: • Traditional atmosphere: The souq preserves the feel of old Arabian markets, with narrow alleys, wooden ceilings, and the scent of frankincense in the air. • Gold and handicrafts: A great place to explore Omani jewelry, handmade crafts, textiles, and souvenirs. • Local dining: Several restaurants and cafés nearby offer a chance to enjoy Omani and regional dishes. • Scenic location: Just steps away from the Corniche and the sea, making it easy to combine shopping with a relaxing waterfront stroll. • Cultural immersion: Ideal for travelers who want to experience local life, interact with shopkeepers, and discover unique items.

A must visit spots for tourists. Most shops are so friendly. Good prices. Quality items. Can even found roman & gladiator's iron helmet here. Its an airconditioned souq. Great place to hide from hot sunny weather outside.

That’s crazy old. Feels like I am at 1940. There are Indians trading everywhere. And Foreigners who are buying. Old fashioned shop. Clean only where is trading, if you come beyond the market it’s so dirty and dark. It’s safe, no worries at all. For experience it’s nice. Prices are highly overpriced and goods are there over-old and not fresh. Maybe some shops are genuine, you may bargain and get things really cheap. Very boring place. Cafes there don’t have any customer service. However it’s a heritage and it’s somehow beautiful and entertaining. There is gold market. Fancy and excited.
Kozlova O — Google review
The souq is one of Oman’s oldest and most vibrant markets, offering a captivating journey through the nation’s rich trading heritage. Overlooking the harbor, it dates back several centuries to a time when Muscat was a major port linking Arabia with India, Persia, and Africa. Locally known as “Souq Al Dhalam,” or “The Dark Market,” its narrow, winding lanes are shaded by wooden roofs and filled with the enchanting scents of frankincense, myrrh, spices, and oud. Inside, more than 800 shops sell a colorful mix of Omani silver jewelry, khanjars, handcrafted textiles, pottery, and perfumes, blending old traditions with modern touches. Originally built with palm leaves and mud walls, the souq has been carefully restored to preserve its authentic character while remaining a lively hub for both locals and visitors. Friendly vendors welcome you to browse and bargain, and as the day fades, the soft evening lights make it even more charming.

Absolutely loved visiting Mutrah Souq! It’s a beautiful blend of tradition, culture, and color. The narrow lanes, friendly shopkeepers, and the mix of scents from frankincense, spices, and perfumes make it such a unique experience. You can find everything here — from traditional Omani souvenirs and jewelry to clothes and local handicrafts. The atmosphere is lively yet welcoming, and it really captures the spirit of old Muscat. A must-visit spot for anyone coming to Oman!
Zee — Google review
The place looked beautiful with all the lights during the night time, but the only issue we faced was parking… it was hard to find a spot on the weekend. However, if you go a bit further, there’s a large parking area near the musical fountain.

The Souq in Mutrah, the old commercial centre of Muscat is magical. It fronts the 'Corniche' the harbour where His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik's dhow is anchored as well as cruise ships and Omani naval vessels. Mutrah souq offers just about everything of Omani origin, such as hessian bags of frankincense, pots of herbs and spices and dried out rose petals from Jebel Akdhar, as well as pungent perfumes such as bukhoor, all offered for sale by cheerful vendors, there are also pashminas and Omani caps, robes and turbans of every colour and of course khanjars both antique and brand new, the traditional ceremonial dagger of Oman. I picked up a lovely wooden whistle that plays Irish jigs melodiously!Mutrah also boasts a Gold Souq which is brimming with shops selling jewellery of all design styles. Muttrah Souq is a must-visit destination, known for its beautiful location and stunning sea view. It is one of Oman’s most famous traditional markets, offering a unique blend of authenticity and variety in traditional products. The prices are reasonable, and the market features a remarkable gold section with exquisite modern and classic designs. Walking through its narrow alleys filled with the rich scents of frankincense and spices is an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend visiting to explore its charm and discover the beauty of Omani craftsmanship. A truly exceptional market.

This historic marketplace has been a major trading hub for goods like spices, perfumes, textiles, and gold, reflecting Oman’s rich maritime past. The National Museum of Oman, established in 2016, is a must-visit destination for those interested in the history and culture of Oman. It boasts an extensive collection that tells the comprehensive story of the nation through tens of thousands of artifacts. From pre-Modern Islamic architecture to its role in the region and East Africa during colonial times, as well as its modern economic resurgence since 1970, this museum offers a deep dive into Oman's rich heritage.
2 floors with several sessions from ancient history of Oman to modern era, including Islamic presentation. Better follow the instructions at the entrance the guide suggested to start the visiting tour. The short documentary in the 1st floor film room is very informative, separately played in Arabic and English, no subtitles, briefly introduced the history of Oman.

Visiting the Oman Museum was a truly enriching and enjoyable experience. The museum is beautifully designed, both architecturally and in the way exhibits are presented. Each section takes you on a journey through different parts of Oman’s rich history—from ancient civilizations to modern developments—offering a well-curated glimpse into the country’s heritage, culture, and achievements. What stood out to me most was the thoughtful and engaging layout of the exhibits. Artifacts, visuals, and multimedia elements are displayed in a way that’s easy to follow, yet informative and captivating. It felt immersive without being overwhelming. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Their friendliness added to the overall positive atmosphere of the museum. It was also a nice surprise to have access to free internet throughout the visit, which made it convenient to look up more information or share the experience in real time. Another great feature is that photography is allowed, which meant I could capture and keep memories of some of my favorite displays. Whether you're a history enthusiast or just looking to understand more about Oman’s identity, this museum is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended for visitors of all ages.

The original structure was built over 200 years ago by Imam Sultan bin Ahmed, and the current palace was rebuilt in 1972. The building features a distinctive blue and gold facade and is framed by the historic Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali, dating back to the 16th century. Together, they form a setting that reflects both Muscat’s defensive past and its modern architectural identity. Although the palace is not open to visitors, the public area in front of it offers a clear view and is well maintained. The walkway leading to the gates is clean and organized, making it a pleasant short visit, especially for those interested in Omani history and culture. A brief stop here provides a good sense of the country’s royal heritage and the surrounding Old Muscat area.

Al Alam Palace is must visit place in Muscat. No entry inside the palace allowed but view from the outside is great too. This place represents the traditional architecture, surrounded by greenery and hills. I enjoyed walking near the palace despite it was hot afternoon.

Al Alam Palace is also a must-visit attraction in Muscat. Though visitors are not allowed inside the palace grounds, the exterior itself is stunning and offers excellent photo opportunities. The palace, with its striking blue and gold façade, is one of the six royal residences of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. The surrounding area is beautifully maintained, with clean walkways and impressive architecture all around. I visited at night as well — the palace looked magnificent under the lights, creating a truly royal and peaceful atmosphere.

We visited Al Alam Palace in Muscat, and while we didn’t get to go inside, the exterior was still an impressive sight. Built in the 1970s, Al Alam Palace serves as the ceremonial palace of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Oman’s current ruler. The palace stands as a symbol of Oman's heritage, with its stunning blend of traditional Islamic and modern architectural styles. The blue and gold accents on the façade are especially striking and contrast beautifully with the surrounding natural landscape, including the rugged hills and tranquil water nearby. The palace is located in a picturesque area, right next to the Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts, which add to its historic significance. The surrounding gardens and the views of the coastline make it an ideal spot for photos and a peaceful visit, but unfortunately, access to the interior is restricted. While you can’t go inside, it’s still worth stopping by to admire the architecture and learn a bit about Oman's history and royal heritage. The palace has long been a symbol of Oman’s modernization and continued stability, and while we could only view it from the outside, it’s clear why it holds such importance. The National Museum of Oman is located just opposite to the main entrance.

A Must Visit Gem in Muscat! Al Alam Palace is absolutely beautiful; a perfect blend of royal elegance and vibrant Omani architecture. The palace grounds are spotless and well-maintained, with colorful gardens and stunning views. Even though visitors can’t go inside, it’s a great spot for photos and a must-see when exploring the city. Truly a symbol of Oman’s royal heritage! 🇴🇲✨

Al Alam Palace is the ceremonial palace of the Sultan of Oman and used welcoming foreign dignitaries and heads of state etc. Visited it from outside. The striking blue color of the palace makes it special, that is visible from a distance. Pictures can be taken both from the front and the back.

Bait Al Baranda Museum is a must-visit cultural-history museum in Muscat, offering insights into the country's rich heritage. The museum features maritime history exhibitions, ancient artifacts, traditional wear, and handicraft works. Visitors can explore exhibits on the Portuguese occupation of Oman and learn about Muscat from the 1st century to 1744 AD. The museum also provides information on Oman during the Portuguese occupation and the Frankincense trade.
This is one of the historical and cultural sites in Muscat, known also as the House of Naseeb. He was the merchant Naseeb Bin Mohammed who built the house in the late nineteenth century. “Al Barandah” is the local pronunciation of the foreign word “veranda”, which means “balcony”. The House was named after the balcony that extends along the length of the façade on the first floor. The museum recounts the history of Muscat since its geological formation to the present day, using interactive technology that displays pictures of tectonic plate movement over the past 750 million years until today, showing the activity that formed the continents in the past and how they will change over the next 250 million years. The museum also includes documentation of the Sultanate of Oman’s history since its inception to the present day.

We went there on weekdays but it was closed, the worst thing that can happen to the visitor is to go to a place where they state it is open from 9 to 6 but supposedly you find it closed with no reason and there is no update in google, if there is maintenance or anything why you don't say ? I hope the management takes tourists attraction places seriously, it is not your own to close it ore open it anytime you wish

A place NOT TO BE MISSED during a visit to muscat. Actually, I visited this place twice, because I didnt have enough of it from the first time. An old Omani house converted into a museum for local culture and omani history. The interior is an architectural masterpiece especially the woodwork, spaces and light. Some of the rooms has been converted into media tools to explain the geological formation of Omaan as well as history timeline.

Café Bateel - Al Mouj is a top café in Oman that offers a refined dining experience with its Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. The menu, crafted by award-winning chefs, showcases gourmet dishes such as salads and pasta, all prepared using the finest ingredients. The warm and sophisticated ambience, along with indoor and al fresco seating options, elevates the overall dining experience.
If you’re looking for a refined yet warm dining experience in Al Mouj, Café Bateel is an absolute gem worth visiting—especially with family! We tried the Chicken Fusilli Pasta and Chicken Coub Sandwiches, and both dishes exceeded our expectations. The pasta was cooked perfectly with rich, creamy flavors, and the chicken was tender and seasoned just right. The sandwich had a delightful crunch and was packed with flavor—definitely something I’d order again. The classic gelato was the perfect sweet finish to our meal. I highly recommend the Vanilla and Greek Yogurt flavors—they’re light, refreshing, and beautifully creamy. The Tiramisu cake was another highlight, striking the perfect balance of sweetness and that signature coffee-cocoa richness. What really elevated our visit was the exceptional service. The staff were very polite, warm, and attentive without being intrusive. Their friendliness added to the overall welcoming atmosphere. Yes, the prices are on the higher side, but the quality of food, ambiance, and service make it completely worth it. It’s a great spot to relax and enjoy a wholesome meal with loved ones in a lovely setting. ✨ Highly recommended for anyone visiting or living near Al Mouj! A must-visit café for families and food lovers alike.

Review: Bateel Muscat Restaurant I recently dined at Bateel Muscat and had a delightful experience overall. The service was exceptional, with a special mention to Joy, who was attentive and ensured we had a pleasant dining experience. Her warm and friendly demeanor truly stood out. The food was delicious, and each dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. However, I was disappointed to find that the French onion soup was not available during my visit. It was something I was looking forward to, and its absence was a letdown. Another point of disappointment was the chamomile tea. I was expecting loose leaf tea, but it was served in a tea bag instead. This small detail took away from the otherwise high-quality experience. Overall, Bateel Muscat offers tasty food and excellent service, but there are a few areas that could use improvement.

Cafe Bateel is one of my favourites for a relaxed meal. I highly recommend the grilled salmon with quinoa and a side of sautéed potatoes. Simple, fresh, and full of flavour. I also love their classic balsamic date vinegar, which I often take home. A great spot for both dining and gourmet products.

Excellent service and prompt service. Great breakfast with nice views of the marina. Spiced Arabic Qawah is the best. Taste is consistent with other branches. Bateel breakfast combo is good value for money. Dates butter is yummy

Outside area nice (at sun set time). Food & drinks are pricey, but that was to be expected in this area and with the reputation they want to keep up. The service (during my visit) was kind of slow. Nobody asked whether we liked our drinks, nor were we asked whether we needed something else. The Dubai branch is better in dealing with customer service, I noticed.

Unfortunately, the food level has declined over the recent years. The desserts used to have so much taste and flavor but now, it’s mediocre at best. The drinks are decent - the coffee, the ice teas and the other drinks with ginger ales and soda. The french toast is also great. However, the rest are questionable. The service is a little slow.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Centara Hotel Muscat, and it was a truly pleasant experience. The rooms are modern, spacious, and very comfortable, while the food was excellent with a good mix of variety and taste. What impressed me most was the hospitality – the staff were attentive, professional, and always welcoming. The hotel’s location is excellent, making it convenient for both business and leisure. For those visiting Muscat for meetings, networking, or conferences, Centara offers the right balance of comfort and accessibility, which makes it a great choice for business travelers as well. Good vegetarian food available Nearby. Lot of vegetarian food available nearby like Udupi, sarvana, Aryas, Vasantha Bhawan. A stay here feels less like a routine trip and more like a refreshing experience.

We booked two rooms, and both were spacious and comfortable. The staff were friendly and supportive, and the location was convenient with supermarkets and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was great with a good variety of options, although I did notice mosquitoes around the uncovered fruits on two occasions. Thankfully, the issue was later addressed by covering the fruits. The only other downside was the swimming pool, which seemed to require some maintenance. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with just a couple of minor areas for improvement.

We stayed at Centara Hotel, and it truly exceeded all our expectations! Compared to the Royal Tulip Hotel, which has many more reviews, the value for money and quality at Centara is much better. The location is excellent, surrounded by plenty of good restaurants and shops. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were clean and modern, and everything contributed to making our stay unforgettable. I would especially like to highlight the spa staff on the ninth floor — I highly recommend trying the Thai massage!
Aldin — Google review
This was, without exaggeration, the worst hotel stay we have ever experienced. We booked five rooms, and not a single air conditioner was working. We spent five miserable hours in the heat before the management finally moved us to different rooms. That level of neglect is simply unacceptable. One of the new rooms had three guests, so the hotel provided an extra bed, but what they gave us was an absolute disgrace. The mattress was filthy, torn, stained, full of holes, and completely unhygienic. It was in such bad condition that even an animal shouldn't be expected to sleep on it. Shockingly, this disgusting mattress was arranged by the housekeeping manager himself, who clearly had no idea how to manage the situation. Instead of solving the problem, he made it worse. It is absolutely appalling that a hotel would think it's okay to offer something like this to paying guests. To make things worse, the swimming pool area was dangerous. The tiles were broken and sharp, and all of us ended up with cuts on our feet. It was a serious safety hazard, and clearly, the hotel has done nothing to maintain even basic standards. This experience was not just disappointing — it was infuriating. The condition of the rooms, the unprofessional and careless staff, the complete lack of accountability. We will never return..
Seif H — Google review
Great hotel, amazing breakfast… Location isn’t the best, but you can get a taxi to anywhere very easily. The swimming pool tiles are coming off, but honestly it’s still very enjoyable and amazingly calm.

This should have been a 3-star hotel at best. I booked a deluxe room, but the towels were torn, the floor wasn’t clean, and the minibar was empty. Overall, it felt more like a guesthouse than a hotel, and the location is in the middle of a construction area, which gives a misleading impression of Muscat.

The Muscat Gate Museum is a historical treasure located within the fortified gate of Muscat's old city wall. Built in 1995, this modern structure houses a museum that offers a rich collection of exhibits on Omani history, architecture, and development. Visitors can explore archaeological texts, ancient paintings depicting the historical and prehistoric ages of Oman, as well as modern-day artworks showcasing the country's evolution from Sultan Qabawi to the late nineties.
A beautiful tiny museum and a great place to beat the heat (the AC does a great job). There is a curator working to answer any questions who speaks perfect English. The posters on the wall have plenty of information regarding Muscats history. At the top of the tower are 2 parks, one is very tiny and the other much bigger. You can sit in the shade and relax for awhile. There is water closet on the top floor open to the public. I spent about 20 minutes and enjoyed the history lesson a d the vool temps.

Today 21 Sep 2025, it close but you can free to enjoy the view from the gate.
Joe A — Google review
This gate marks the western entrance to the old city. Historic accounts mention in 1624 the building of an earthen land wall was started. Previously the city was mainly protected by two forts at the sea side that was most vulnerable to attack by Ottomans and Portuguese. The latter after having established their power in Muscat were challenged by Omani tribes living in the interior (landside). in 1650 the Portuguese were ousted. What started as an earthen wall was upgraded through the ages. The gate structure houses a museum on the upper floor. We could not enter as the venue was closed. The views from the Gate were good. We returned a couple of hours later and the facility was still closed.

This is not so big museum but it's a gem. We totally enjoyed it there. The sitting place under the tree was heavenly. Cool breeze from the sea was mind blowing weather. Although no one was there, gate was open, we went inside, but lights were off, couldn’t find switches to turn it on. Recommend if you have enough time in Muscat.

Where can I begin?! This hotel is jus such a wonderful home away from home. I can say truthfully that all other positive comments about the staff here are true! The moment you walk to reception you’re given a warm welcome! If you’re a Gold++ member they will acknowledge you and give you the benefits that come with this tier. The rooms are clean. Really clean. The housekeeping staff so kind too! Special mentions for Saif who was a new hire but clearly knew his job well! The breakfast staff including the attendants and chefs were exemplary. I want to ask about hotel room, but because it took so long to wait until the staff came, I just leave and go to the lounge..

This world class airport is Beautiful, clean, immense and very impressive, the ambiance is wonderful and the facilities are plentiful. Easy to navigate and very calm but I found the duty free shops to be very expensive judging by some of the items in a shop (e.g small can of starbucks coffee $10, enought to put me off looking at other things) but overall a well presented and very comfortable and lovely airport.

Very calm, relaxed and excellent hospitality by all the staff. Smiling faces and ready to help. Airport architecture intelligent and beautiful, all gates are easy to reach, not to far away. Food court could be a bit larger to accommodate the traffic. One does have a kfc, and a Mac Donald outlet apart from a couple of others at the food court. Here is a peek at the gate area.

We arrived here just for transit. It's so comfy. Quite many resting spots. The toilets are clean. The prayer room is convenient. We didn't get much yelled by staff, unlike at KSA 😅

Muscat International Airport is a modern and beautifully designed airport with impressive architecture. Everything is well-organized and styled in a contemporary manner. Formerly known as Seeb International Airport, it offers a pleasant travel experience. The immigration process was smooth — the officers were polite, and there were no unnecessary questions or hassles. One slightly unusual thing was that boarding gates were announced only about half an hour before departure, so passengers had to wait in front of the screens to find out their gate numbers. Overall, it’s a good airport with decent staff and excellent facilities.

Park
Riyam Park حديقة ريام is a serene destination that offers stunning views of mountains, water, and blooming flowers. It features playgrounds and expansive lawns for leisurely strolls. A trek to the mountains separating Darsait from the Port area provides breathtaking sunset views of Port Sultan Qaboos, Muttrah Corniche, and the impressive Riyam Park along with the giant Frankincense Burner.
A very nice medium sized park. There are picnic tables under the shade and playgrounds for the kids. Very quiet and peaceful with great views of the Bay of Oman and the Tower on the hill. The paths are clean and very well maintained. There is a coffee shop and restaurant but they were closed on a weekday. There are large parking lots in the front and back of the park with taxis always standing by. There was once a pond and a small amusement park, but the pond is now drained and they're tearing down the amusement park. There are multiple Water Closets open. A very nice place to take a walk, or let the kids play, picnic, or just sit in a shady spot and relax.

Here’s a nice review you can use for Riyam Park: Review: Riyam Park is a beautiful and relaxing place to visit with family and kids. The green spaces and playground make it perfect for children to play, and the view from the park is really nice, especially in the evening. We had a great time enjoying the fresh air and peaceful atmosphere. If you’d like, I can also help you draft one that’s shorter, more detailed, or more formal — just say the word!

Mutrah Corniche is a charming waterfront promenade in Muscat, Oman, offering breathtaking views of the sea and mountains. The 1.8-mile curved area features paved paths, artful shelters, traditional Omani architecture, and modern developments that reflect the country's heritage. Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls along the fishing port, passing fountains, gardens, restaurants serving local and international cuisine, and a market offering fresh fruit.
One of best places to visit to walk by the sea, also can do lot of shopping at Muttrah souq for souvenirs , perfumes & other things, also have international ship terminal for cruise ships. Loved this place & a must visit during your time in beautiful nation of Sultanate of Oman 🇴🇲❤️.

A peaceful and unique spot in Muscat, perfect for tourists looking for an authentic Omani experience. About 45 km from the airport, easy to reach. Best time to visit is October to March. Known for local crafts, friendly people, and calm vibes. A must-visit for cultural and scenic lovers! Highly recommended for travelers who love peaceful spots and real cultural experiences.

Such a peaceful place. I went here to read my book and it was beautiful. The scenery and the calm sound of the sea waves and overall cleanness of the place.

It's a nice and clean place to take a long walk along the water. I felt safe to walk there alone even at night. Where there is the small water show, you can also buy some ice cream and thing to drink (at least they was there when i pass by). They take credit card. During the walk you can have a view of the fort even at night with the light and nice view of the city...

We had a wonderful visit to Mutrah Corniche, now even more delightful with the new musical fountain that adds charm for evenings. It’s an ideal hangout spot for families and kids, offering scenic sea views, artful walkways, and soothing music that enhances the atmosphere. The well-maintained promenade is perfect for strolling, relaxing, and enjoying the coastal breeze. Just a heads-up: parking can be quite difficult during weekend rush hours, so visiting by taxi or earlier in the day is a good idea. Overall, a lovely family-friendly destination with views and entertainment for all ages.

Beautiful area for a walk around the coast. Saw an array of marine life, including at least 6 sea turtles, pufferfish and crabs. The path itself is beautiful and shows the effort that has gone into developing this area, making it a beautiful place to explore. Would highly recommend doing this walk.

Mutrah Corniche is a must-visit area in Muscat — a beautiful and peaceful waterfront promenade that perfectly captures the charm of the city. Lined with traditional buildings, cafes, and views of the harbor, it’s a great place for a relaxing walk, especially in the evening when the lights reflect on the water. The highlight of the Corniche is the stunning view of the Sultan’s royal yacht, often anchored nearby, adding a touch of royal elegance to the scenery. With the sea on one side and the mountains on the other, Mutrah Corniche offers one of the most picturesque and serene experiences in Muscat.

Thank you to prathmesh for providing an excellent service The cleaning staff( prathmesh), provided excellent service throughout our stay. They were always prompt in responding to requests and ensured that extra toiletries were supplied whenever needed. Their polite and respectful attitude, especially towards our elderly parents, was greatly appreciated. The team worked quickly and efficiently, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness at all times. Their professionalism and attention to detail made our experience very comfortable. Overall, a reliable, courteous, and efficient service — highly recommended. Only note for the hotel - pillows could be better .

I recently stayed at the Mysk Hotel in Muscat with a companion and wanted to share my experience. We checked in late at night, and the reception staff was very welcoming. Upon arrival, we inquired about a dental kit, and they assured us it would be brought to our room. However, we received only one dental kit along with a shaving kit, which was a bit disappointing. The hotel itself has a pleasant and fresh atmosphere. Breakfast was included in our stay, but since we checked in very late, we unfortunately missed it. Our room had a lovely sea view, which was definitely a highlight. However, I found the bed to be somewhat uncomfortable. The pillows were very thin, and the duvet felt flimsy, giving the impression that the bedding was older and in need of replacement. Additionally, I noticed a hair on the shampoo bottles in the shower, indicating that cleanliness could use some improvement. On the positive side, the room provided cozy amenities like slippers, a bathrobe, an ironing board, and an iron. One thing I did miss was coffee in the room; having that option in the morning would have been nice. Overall, the Mysk Hotel left a decent impression. It's comfortable enough for business trips, but a few improvements could make the stay even more enjoyable

1. Location: 2 mins walk to the Marina for water activities. 2-3 mins walk to The Walk for shopping and just downstairs with multiple dining options. 2. Atmosphere: welcoming staff and they suggested us if we would pay a bit more to upgrade to sea view room which we did. It was third floor and we could see Marina and the restaurants. Not too noisy at night. 3. Rooms are bright, tidy and clean. 4. Food: welcoming staff had 3 times of breakfast and 1 time of dinner. Breakfast was amazing and we could spend two hours enjoying the variety of food. There are crepe and Regag bread freshly made. Yummy! Dinner we had a la carte. Lobster/ tiger prawn soup was really good.

Recently stayed here with family. The rooms are spacious, complete with all necessities and it was clean. The view on the mosque was beautiful and the location is perfect. It's close to the main road and many malls. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast with many options. The facilities like the gym and swimming pool are state of the art and well maintained. The service is excellent and we need to praise the hospitality of all the staff members especially Emam, Binu and Dip (from the restaurant), Jowel (from the lobby), Reem (from the reception) and the supervisor from the reception.

Stayed one night and that's all we could take I am afraid. The cleanliness of the room with kitchen was very poor. The kitchen smelt of previous guests food. There seemed to dust or stains on most surfaces. The hotel felt very used and not new or fresh. The staff were pleasant enough but the hotel seemed very busy all night long. Food service was quick and great quality. Unfortunately the very poor cleanliness forced us to check-out. No point complaining if everything in the room needs to be cleaned. Better places are available.

I have been staying at the hotel close to 2 months. The location of the hotel is Central Muscat and within 7 minutes drive to the huge shopping malls and supermarkets for grocery shopping. The beach is 10-15 minutes drive from the hotel. The rooms are clean. I particularly want to recognize Mwana and Joynal who clean our rooms. They are pleasant and do a thorough job. We also frequent the breakfast buffet at Savannah Restaurant and enjoy the chicken samosas and the karak tea. The service from Binu, Imam and Deep always makes us look forward to breakfast. They are very pleasant and loving towards my family. Rumani and the guest services team have been welcoming and treated us with respect. Thank you for the flowers on Omani Womens day. The family have enjoyed the swimming pool and the gym which has upto date equipment and a special view of the Muscat sign on the hills. There is a spa which we will soon explore. Thank you for the good welcome to Oman.

We stayed at 715 room in this hotel: fantastic view of Mosque. 2BHK apartment at 400 AED (~100$) is good price. Hotel has a gym and swimming pool at rooftop. Gym is fanatic feels like private. Swimming pool has a panorama of city, highly recommended to attend. At ground level there is famous nightlife lounge and so many other cafes for foreigners. Even nearby there is supermarket, 5 min away by car. Mall of Oman is 6 min away. At lobby they serve the Qahwa Arabic Traditional Coffee with dates free of charge as sign of hospitality. Everyone speaks English 👍🏻 At the reception people are very helpful. Supported with WiFi promptly, supported us with luggage immediately as soon as we get out of taxi, then they gave us additional access cards with no drama. We are first time in Oman 🇴🇲 and very happy experiencing such smooth operation and useful facilities. Nature of Oman is breathtaking and we are enjoying fresh air by opening our hotel window for ventilation, (instead of AC 😮‍💨) It’s really nice place to accommodate at Muscat👍🏻

We recently stayed for 2 nights at royal tulip muscat. It has clean and well maintained rooms and is very close from many shopping malls and restaurants. What amazed me was the service and the staff. We constantly saw one person on the ground checking all small detail to ensure guests are taken care of. Realised later that it is GM himself who is spending time with staff on the ground and that clearly reflected a great team. Few instances: 1. My phone and other belongings got locked in the locker of Steam and Sauna area and the issue was sorted almost instantly by one of the staff to whom I explained the situation. 2. Even though the cleaning schedule of my room was in late evening, the housekeeping made sure to clean our room early within 30 minutes of our request. 3. Kids were so well entertained and engaged with colors and papers and super courteous staff. Thank you Royal tulip for the great stay!

Inside if room was so beautiful, but compare to the price it was very normal hotel. The location is not nice when you come out of hotel there is no nice restaurant or any nice place close to it , you need car to go to first near nice place. The view of room is not good. The breakfast was so normal. The quality of fruits in breakfast was normal they almost tasted nothing.

What we liked most: - very central & convenient location in Muscat - clean and quite rooms - comfortable bed - exceptionally equipped gym (Technogym machines & dumbbells), very spacious and modern - nice rooftop pool with enough sunbeds for guests What we disliked most: - some parts of the breakfast were not as tasty as expected (e.g. fresh fruits) and coffee was not too great - room & bathroom both seemed a little bit outdated but nothing too big All in all great value for the money! We loved our stay here!

the ROOMS! so so so so noisy. when you first enter the rooms seems standard beds comfy and there is space. bathrooms ARE CRAMPED you can easily bump your head from the wash basin if your sitting on the toilet if your not careful. very very crampy and small bathrooms. My check in was Friday, but Friday night if your an early/light sleeper like myself, then you'll definably have a hard time sleeping in this hotel, the road noises from the cars/motorcycles not only reach your room its as if the road in IN YOUR ROOM! there is 0 noise cancellation in the rooms and I had the worst time sleeping, when I called them and asked if. I could change I was told they were fully booked, I understand that their rooms are reasonably cheaper given their good location but the amount of discomfort I felt trying to fall asleep was so bad. I only slept at 2 AM when the sounds of the Rode got better. also they don't have any prayer direction sticker on the floor, and no prayer mats, this should be standard given this is an Islamic country. Breakfast was good, and the room quality beds were okay as well. but its not somewhere I would recommend or would stay again even if I was on a budget.

I booked a suite room for three adults for one night through Booking.com, paying 46 OMR per night. Unfortunately, the room lacked basic amenities such as a dental kit, beverage sachets, and water, all of which had to be requested separately. Additionally, the quality of the shower gels was poor, and there was no pool available. On a positive note, the service was excellent, with room service and reception staff being friendly and supportive. I would rate their service five stars. However, I suggest that the hotel management improve the quality of their amenities. The only advantage was the hotel's proximity to the airport. Overall, the prices are quite high for the amenities provided, and I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for pool access. I hope the management takes these issues seriously.

It’s particularly well-placed for both business and leisure travelers, being just a short drive from Muscat International Airport (MCT), the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, and major shopping destinations like the Muscat Grand Mall and Avenues Mall. Its position provides easy access to the main highway, making exploration of Muscat's stunning coastline and interior attractions hassle-free. One of the highlights of the stay is definitely the breakfast. The hotel offers a varied and generous spread that provides a genuinely good choice for all tastes. From a selection of fresh fruits, pastries, and yogurts to hot items including both international and local Omani dishes, the quality and variety ensure a satisfying start to the day. The dining area itself is bright and comfortable, enhancing the experience. Overall, the impression is overwhelmingly positive. The staff are attentive and welcoming, the modern amenities function flawlessly, and the clean, contemporary design creates a very comfortable and relaxed environment. For travelers seeking reliable comfort, excellent service, and a convenient base for exploring Muscat, the Ramada Encore Al Gubrah is a superb choice and highly recommended.

I rarely ever leave negative reviews, but unfortunately this stay was truly disappointing. We booked well in advance, traveling with our 1.5-year-old child, to ensure a comfortable stay suitable for a family. Upon arrival, however, we were shocked to find that we had been assigned a smoking room. The staff tried to tell us that we had chosen it, which is completely false and quite disrespectful. There was no option to select smoking or non-smoking rooms at the time of booking, something I ALWAYS check carefully, especially because we are non-smokers and travel with a baby. When we raised the issue, they refused to change our room, saying the hotel was “fully booked.” We arrived together with a large group of about 30 adults without children, and kindly asked to be checked in first, yet they made us wait until the entire group had finished. With minimal attention, they could have easily swapped our room for a non-smoking one. They also offered us a paid upgrade as a “solution,” which made the situation even worse, since the mistake was clearly not ours. It’s unacceptable to assign a smoking room to a family with a small child, especially when this was never specified anywhere during booking. The room was connecting, and the effect of this connection made the situation unbearable, the smell of smoke constantly passed through the door from the adjoining room, which was occupied by single guests staying up late, shouting, and watching TV at full volume. The air was heavy, the smell deeply impregnated in the curtains and mattress, and our clothes reeked within minutes. The night before departure, we agreed with reception on a late check-out, just two extra hours, as a small courtesy considering the situation. The next morning, however, even before the standard check-out time, our keys were already deactivated, preventing us from entering the room. This showed a clear lack of communication among the staff, and made us feel completely disregarded and unwelcome. It was the final drop that turned a frustrating experience into true disappointment. A real shame, because with a bit of care and less superficiality, this stay could have been pleasant.

We stayed at Ramada for our first two nights in Oman and came back for 3 additional nights at the end of our road trip around the country. From a quality/price perspective, the hotel is fantastic. Rooms are large, with real king size beds, and equipped with all you need. All areas of the hotel, especially the pool and the gym are well mantained and clean. Personnel at the reception is nice and welcoming (just like everyone in Oman!). The restaurant is also nice but a little expensive. Additional services (such as the laundry and food delivery) were also on point. Look forward to coming back again in the future.

Stayed 4 nights, receptionist didn't bother to tell about amenities or facilities to avail. I parked infront of building thinking this must be hotel parking as its just infront of the hotel like everywhere else and got fine of 10 RO next day from municipality.as it was paid booking we checked in but on check out they asked for another pending amount which I didn't know, which they should have told on booking time or at least on check in. Food was bad especially steak. Didn't do breakfast though. Rooms are good but may be the need to train the reception and manager for smooth running and better customer service

I had a mixed experience at Ramada Muscat. The room was clean, but a lot of details didn’t live up to what I expected from the hotel’s ratings. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment, plates sometimes had an odd smell, the variety was very limited, and things like cheese would run out and only got refilled if you asked. The seating area also felt cramped, with tables packed too close together. There were no slippers in the room, and toiletries were only provided for one person even though my booking clearly mentioned two. Small things, but they added up and left the overall stay feeling below expectations.

I had a massage with Nara in Wyndham Garden Muscat and it was genuinely fantastic. She is extremely professional, warm. The whole session felt relaxing and therapeutic, and she checked in just the right amount to make sure the pressure was perfect. I walked out feeling lighter and completely refreshed. This hotel Lives up to the stars, we stayed for two weeks and we loved the all the staff, we had other family comer over for 10 days, amazing service, amazing restaurant manager we loved her. All staff very attentive and friendly, and very good price. The breakfast is very good and has a variety and a bit for everyone from fruit and salads to omelet and egg station and hot and cold food. Good Hotel with great transport links. Rooms are a good size and clean. Breakfast buffet has a decent selection. Staff are very polite and helpful and mostly speak very good English. Pool area could be improved. Looks a little neglected.

I had a great stay at Al Murooj Grand Hotel in Muscat. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The staff was friendly and always ready to help, and the breakfast buffet had a nice variety. The location is convenient close to shops and only a short drive to major attractions. Overall, a comfortable stay would definitely return.

Al Murooj Grand Hotel offers a luxurious stay with modern rooms, excellent service, and a prime location. The friendly staff ensures a seamless experience, while the diverse dining options and top-notch fitness and spa facilities enhance the overall stay. It's perfect for both business and leisure travelers. While slightly expensive, the quality and convenience make it a great choice for a comfortable, refined experience.

Did make a booking and got scammed. Either the hotel booking system is accessed, or someone from the hotel itself is doing it. On 3 separate reservations, the scammer got access to guest details so they know when checking in and out, names, contact number.. The hotel is adamant that it's their fault, rather booking.com's fault. Not even an apology
Diogo N — Google review
They not respectful, they give us a discount by booking.com and when we arrived they said we should cancel our reservation or pay the difference between the offer and real price and if we cancelled the paid amount will not be refunded

The hotel is really nice. It can be a bit confusing to find the main entrance, but that’s a small downside. Another minor downside is the breakfast. It’s not high quality, but you can get full and there’s something for everyone. However, a big plus for the comfortable bed, cleanliness of the room and bathroom, the friendliness of the staff, and the price!

Nestled atop a hill with stunning views of Muscat's pristine suburbs, Naseem Hotel embodies the charm of Arabian architecture, featuring elegant crenellations and a marble lobby. This inviting retreat offers five spacious room options and essential amenities like parking, WiFi, and a delightful bar. During my stay with friends, we were impressed by the cleanliness and exceptional service provided by the staff.
Generally a decent hotel. Good location on Mutrah corniche. Breakfast is best to be avoided. Generally staff is friendly and cooperative, yet the lady 'Manager' is in serious need of hospitality service training.

It's unfortunate that there is no option to give a negative rating here; otherwise, I would have given one. This hotel charges a lot, but when it comes to service, there is nothing. I stayed here from February 24 to 26. Some room lights worked, while the rest did not. The worst part was that I went to take a bath early in the morning at 6:30 AM, and there was no hot water. I thought of calling the reception, but the phone was dead. In the end, I had to bathe with cold water. They don’t provide any slippers; you have to bring your own. I even asked about it, saying it's a basic necessity, but they clearly refused, saying they don’t provide them. When I arrived, I requested a seaside room, and they told me all seaside rooms were booked for three days. But the next morning, I saw an empty seaside room on my floor. Overall, my experience was so bad that I have never seen a worse hotel, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Good cafe in term of location and food provided but service of the waiters are to be improved the one from noon onwards was impolite and arrogant wanted to pay for the service and took me really a while. Others than that all services and cleanness is outstanding. Additionally, the location is just near Corniche Mutrah and the Sooq

Nestled atop a hill with stunning views of Muscat's pristine suburbs, OYO 137 Marina Hotel boasts an enchanting Arabian architectural style, complete with charming crenellations and elegant casements. While I didn't stay overnight, my dining experience at the rooftop restaurant was unforgettable. As night fell, the balcony offered a breathtaking panorama that sparkled like jewels against the dark sky. The restaurant features around eight unique beer options at a reasonable price of 2 OMR per can or bottle.
I was NOT customer of this hostel. But I had a dinner at the top floor restaurant. This hostel is the best place in point of the location. Since getting dark outside, we can see the nice view from a balcony of the top floor restaurant. It's like jewely. There has roughly 8 types beers. It's rarely. And it costs 2 OMR per 1 can or 1 bottle, it's reasonable in the price. All staffs is very kindly and friendly. From the view from this restaurant, the view gives you a sparkles and fabulous memory. MARINA HOTEL REVIEW This hotel ranks among the most lamentable accommodations I've ever experienced. Initially enticed by its promising location, with price as a secondary consideration, I found myself overlooking the entrance hall's resemblance to a dilapidated Wild West brothel. I convinced myself that it was a deliberate choice in scenography, seeking to infuse a sense of local color. Little did I anticipate that the rooms would exceed the dubious charm of the lobby. Upon swinging open the door, an assault on the senses commenced— a blend of insecticides and the acrid remnants of cigarettes that had embedded themselves in the walls. My quest for a functional electrical socket proved to be an ordeal, with the grimy state of the outlets making me wary of even laying a finger on them. My anticipation of a picturesque sunrise over the harbor was dashed when I encountered a window resembling a mesh-covered shooting hole, practically sealed with layers of pigeon droppings, limiting the influx of fresh air. Through the perforations in this avian mosaic, a faint view of the harbor, royal yachts, the old town, the minaret, and the encircling mountains emerged—an unexpected marvel amidst the disheartening circumstances. However, any semblance of optimism was squashed when I unearthed cockroaches emerging from beneath the peeling wallpaper in what can only be described as a dark cell posing as a restroom. It seemed the insects had grown impervious to the pervasive stench, indifferent to the discomfort plaguing the hotel guests. To compound the ordeal, a raucous party unfolded on one of the upper floors, with the relentless beat of Indian drums echoing into the night. The clamor only relented at dawn, coinciding with the departure of inebriated revelers, who reveled in revving their engines in the brisk morning air. Morning found me departing in frustration, cursing my misfortune. Despite a reservation for an extended stay, I vowed never to set foot in this establishment again.

First time being there. Location is nice but sitting, dining area very bad, even food disgusting no hygiene not trustable less amount of food and double price than other places, place is dirty, waiter at all not human being doesn't have manner.Given questions not responding properly, rude and smelly. Nothing to have there, the hotel destroying the view of sea beach unfortunately,The people comes there very low standard all old taxi drivers who does not have ashame to flirt the age of their daughter ladies ,or some narrow minded people. Not recommend place.

Overall an extremely poor experience. AC didn't work, there was extremely loud music until 3am on both nights, cockroach found in bathroom, balcony/window covered in pigeon poo so could even get fresh air, using some power sockets made the lights flicker, there as no toilet paper provided, only 1 towel, wardrobe door was broken, the only bedding was a stained fluffy blanket without a top bed sheet, TV didn't work. On the second night I asked the manager to turn down the music, but they didn't bother. Given the price I wasn't expecting much, but this was generally awful, and would NOT recommend anyone stay here. I tried very hard to find good things; the bottom sheet clean, soap and shampoo provided, complimentary bottle of water each, and morning papers downstairs. We stayed at this hotel in a twin room in November 2022.
Christopher H — Google review
The hotel looked nice, but I was there for the restaurant and a drink. The beer was surprisingly reasonable in price for Muscat. I was there at lunchtime on a Wednesday, and it was very quiet. The others there--a local expat and an American couple, passengers from the Cunard ship in that day were very friendly. The view of the port area is amazing. Be aware that right at noon the sun beats down on the terrace, but it shifts behind the building very soon after.
Terry S — Google review
This is a review for the hotel, not the restaurant. The restaurant does have a great view. Be advised that if you stay in the hotel, there is a restaurant at the top and a pub on floor one. It was amazingly noisy with the music and the movement of chairs. The noise did not stop until 2am. You will need ear plugs. Also be advised that presently the old fish market is being demolished, and that the mosque across the bay can be heard in space. Also be advised that the room rate is likely negotiable. ☺

phenomenal location and service. clean and quite pretty rooms. our host upgraded our room to one of the private suites with a private bathroom for free as we went in off season which was lovely. aircon worked great and was needed for the summer! we were offered fresh towels, cleaning, and importantly cold bottled water at every opportunity which was lovely. the room and building featured code doors which was lovely not having to remember a key. the location was walking distance to a lot of great attractions, as well as a bus station and plenty of taxis for getting around otherwise. tons of good food and sights in the area, but far enough from the main road that it was quite tranquil at night. would highly recommend! we also got breakfast one of the mornings (at a fair additional price) which was super nice in the upstairs cafe featuring balcony rooms.

Perfectly nice rooms and a great location very close to the fort and the souk. The bathroom was private but not connected to the room so just be aware that you have to move through a public area to get to the bathroom and the room. The host was wonderful, kind and helpful. He continually asked if I needed more cold water before going out which was very considerate. There is also free parking if you rented a car.

Discover Mazoon Tours Oman offers an unforgettable adventure through the stunning landscapes and rich history of Oman. On a memorable 3-day, 2-night journey, travelers are treated to exceptional service from knowledgeable guides like Ali, who not only ensures safety but also shares fascinating insights about Omani culture and daily life. Highlights include visits to Nizwa with its enchanting night tour and rooftop dining experience, as well as exploring Jebel Shams and a historic village featuring traditional falaj irrigation systems.
We took a 3 day / 2 night tour and though it was expensive it was worth every omani rial! Ali was our guide and the most courteous and safe driver and good company too. We visited nizwa and he even took us back in the evening for a tour by night and delicious rooftop dinner. We also visited Jebel shams and a historic village with falalj walk. The next day was to wadi Ben khalid - our favourite wadi as it was quieter than wadi shab and absolutely beautiful. We stayed overnight in ras Al hadd and Ali drove us to ras Al jinz where we had a magical evening on the beach watching baby turtles hatch and a huge mother turtle return to the sea after laying her eggs, topped off with a bit of bioluminescence! The next day was sur and then wadi shab - stunning but a long hot hike and a bit busy for swimming. Back to muscat via Finn's beach and bimmah sinkhole. It's an absolute must do to get out of muscat and explore this stunning country and meet its beautiful people. It was the absolute highlight of our trip to Oman!

Ali is a fantastic guide, we couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. We went on a 2 Day Tour with stay in Ras Al Hadd package, and it’s a fantastic way to see so much of Oman in two days. Ali was early at our hotel, provided clear instructions on the journey ahead. In every step Ali shares his love and knowledge of his country. In two days we got to see Bimmah Sinkhole, Wade Shab (one of the biggest highlights), Sur (Dhow Factory), stay at a great beach resort Ras Al Hadd, and see turtles at Ras Al Jinz in the evening (even though it wasn’t peak turtle watching season). Ali made sure to get tickets for us as soon as we reached Ras Al Jinz so we could go on the earliest group to see the turtles. The next day we spent time swimming in Wade Bani Khalid and got to experience the desert and Bedouin life in Al Sharqiya sands. Ali was informative, polite, helpful and flexible. He cares about giving you the best experience and your comfort throughout. I would highly recommend this tour with Ali.
