Went on a Monday night about 23:30 place was empty no dj not very good atmosphere

Popped in to watch a LFC match and there was nobody in, so the atmosphere wasn't great! Price of a pint was shocking at 6 rial, we left at half time. Plenty of screens for the right event though.

We were disrespected by a waiter called Qasim, abusing us in Arabic for just asking direction for club safari because there were 2 bars . No customer care at all..

Great place to hang out at late night and have some fun. There is a entry fee of R.O. 5. Earlier this entry fee could be reimbursed with a drink but now its not available. There is dance floor and music is wild and loud.This club is located in Grand hayat muscat and is crowded after 12.

Getting progressively better. Peaceful place for a beer and pub grub from 7 to 9pm then progressively noisy from then on. After a bad start when live bands were blocked, the disco is now a positive feature.

I came first time to this place I pay 5 Or as Entrance including 1free drink when asked dthe bar man my drink he said its not included this he ofer me something else when he serviced to me he asked me 7 OR ( what it should be free) . The bar man was soooooooo Rude I never see like this Ruse person in my life then I pay my beer and I cut the Entrance ticket so one beer coast me 11 Or . It's bad experience qnd it's shameful even to let people like this bar man to work in the hospitality.i will never back agane and I will not recumanted this place

A great place to visit. We got a quick tour of the opera (up to 10 mins about history) and then we had a free time. It is a beautiful place, it is a pure definition of royalty. Worth seeing. Cost per person is 3.1 OMR, only by card.

This place is majestic and its huge. Sadly I didn't have the chance to see the museum parts of it. However I took a tour around the facility and went to check out some coffee shops. This place really is so beautiful and such a great mix between modern luxuries and classical architecture

Keep on loving coming to this place every time wanted some Cuban vibes in Muscat. The food is so delicious. The menu just got updated a few minor changes but the place is spectacular for really nice wonderful night out with friends and family. The food is amazing The well Decorated drinks. It never gets old doesn’t matter when however the weekend is the best time to come over I enjoy the steak and a padThai. Those are my favorite dishes.

Tasty, authentic, big portions This restaurant offers various dishes infused by French Polynesia. Everything is very tasty, but I want to highlight Pad Thai and Peri Peri Chicken - they are really cool! Good salads and appetizers, tasty desserts as well. The choice of cocktails is really overwhelming - so many Mai tai cocktail variations you’ve never seen before! They have big cocktail card, all drinks are served in an unusual way. The interior is very atmospheric - it feels like you’re really in French Polynesia. The restaurant has indoor seat and outdoor terrace as well. Staff is friendly and polite. There are live music evenings in the restaurant.

Trader Vic’s never disappoints. Great food, excellent ambience, wonderful drinks, nice vibe. What else can one expect. If you are looking for a good night out, this should be your destination. There was also gluten free option.

My favorite place if I have mood to go and listen to Latin music , as it has an amazing live band, that I always enjoy. Amazing service , very friendly supervisor , Mr. Abdul always very welcoming and nice, my favorite is Lili,who always provides the best service and make me feel special. This time we were served by Abdul Lateef who was also really attentive. Overall love this place , atmosphere and amazing coctails

We went in on Friday night and the place was packed. Went back again on Saturday night and it was quite empty but with amazing live music. The drink in the picture was incredible and super strong.

Tradervic’s muscat exceeded my expectations. The ambience was elegant furniture looked old. The service staff was attentive. I ordered Salmon & Pad Thai both of which were cooked to perfection , flavorful and good presentation. Thanks to chefs and entire team for a tip-notch dining experience. Highly recommend.

A great little find just next to the main hotel. A good range of beers and wines and good food too. More of a sports bar type of food than fine dining but good food anyway. Many screens to watch your favourite sport on. We watched an English FA cup game whilst we were there and the screens are big and of good quality. I would definitely return to this place. The staff were polite and friendly.

A nice play tucked away discreetly next to the Hyatt. Cold beer and great service at the bar. A few pool tables and a good crowd. Drinks were relatively decently priced for the area. It was nice to have an option like this not too far from where I am staying.

Dive sports bar at grande hyatt with it's own outside entrance so you don't have to get all dressed up. Cold beer. very good pub fair and the pool tables are full size and flat. Staff was amazing and provided excellent service. customers we’re half omani and half expat. everyone was nice and friendly. good times to me be had here and not that expensive really for what you get.

A good place to watch footy with a mild-mannered clientele. Really good nachos-- and cheesecake for the indulgent.

That’s crazy old. Feels like I am at 1940. There are Indians trading everywhere. And Foreigners who are buying. Old fashioned shop. Clean only where is trading, if you come beyond the market it’s so dirty and dark. It’s safe, no worries at all. For experience it’s nice. Prices are highly overpriced and goods are there over-old and not fresh. Maybe some shops are genuine, you may bargain and get things really cheap. Very boring place. Cafes there don’t have any customer service. However it’s a heritage and it’s somehow beautiful and entertaining. There is gold market. Fancy and excited.

The Souq in Mutrah, the old commercial centre of Muscat is magical. It fronts the 'Corniche' the harbour where His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik's dhow is anchored as well as cruise ships and Omani naval vessels. Mutrah souq offers just about everything of Omani origin, such as hessian bags of frankincense, pots of herbs and spices and dried out rose petals from Jebel Akdhar, as well as pungent perfumes such as bukhoor, all offered for sale by cheerful vendors, there are also pashminas and Omani caps, robes and turbans of every colour and of course khanjars both antique and brand new, the traditional ceremonial dagger of Oman. I picked up a lovely wooden whistle that plays Irish jigs melodiously!Mutrah also boasts a Gold Souq which is brimming with shops selling jewellery of all design styles. Muttrah Souq is a must-visit destination, known for its beautiful location and stunning sea view. It is one of Oman’s most famous traditional markets, offering a unique blend of authenticity and variety in traditional products. The prices are reasonable, and the market features a remarkable gold section with exquisite modern and classic designs. The place looked beautiful with all the lights during the night time, but the only issue we faced was parking… it was hard to find a spot on the weekend. However, if you go a bit further, there’s a large parking area near the musical fountain.

The staff make this place at ease. Heratha was great in service and to customize our grub per our needs. Ambience is a lil dark, yet cozy with ample seating options. A few screens to stream live sports. Happy hours until 8pm. A legend in Muscat over the decades. With staff ever so cheerful, a good place to wind down after work.

The pub used to be one of the best in town, but last week I visited the place it was terrible, not upto Intercontinental hotel standards. The waiter forgot to order my drink and I had to go myself to order it, after waiting for more than 15 minutes. The cocktail was so bad it was unbelievable.

Such a peaceful place. I went here to read my book and it was beautiful. The scenery and the calm sound of the sea waves and overall cleanness of the place.

We had a wonderful visit to Mutrah Corniche, now even more delightful with the new musical fountain that adds charm for evenings. It’s an ideal hangout spot for families and kids, offering scenic sea views, artful walkways, and soothing music that enhances the atmosphere. The well-maintained promenade is perfect for strolling, relaxing, and enjoying the coastal breeze. Just a heads-up: parking can be quite difficult during weekend rush hours, so visiting by taxi or earlier in the day is a good idea. Overall, a lovely family-friendly destination with views and entertainment for all ages.

Happy hour at 10pm!!! Great cocktails and service, well made and very much appreciated. The grapefruit cocktail is particularly good. The bar just needs a few more people in order to create a nice environment. Perhaps the hotels can promote?

Zero service- just because am not white skinned no one served me in the right manner!!! And this is in all of their restaurants we went to, we walked from bab lounge ( closed) their seafood restaurant ( where we waited for almost 20 mins with no service), and then finally came to to the piano lounge where i was severed a below average drink which I apologized and asked if it could be changed and the bar manger was soooo RUDE!!!! - I don’t know why because I was overly nice and apologized myself. Also, i tried speaking to him and he just walked away. 5 star hospitality for sure! This is a very Luxurious place to hang out, with both areas for privacy and areas to be seen in.

Absolutely dead when we visited at 2145. Need to visit again when it's busier as everywhere else in this complex has made a great impression.

This place gives you royal feel. But recently when I visited Shangri-La 4 months back I found this place has been closed temporary due to covid reasons.

One of the finest architecture in world. Majestic and beautiful. This place exudes omani grandeur and is a mixture of Islamic architectures all over world. Women need to cover head and dress appropriately to cover the whole body. Men should avoid shorts. Non muslims can enter only 8 AM to 11 AM except Friday. Take atleast 1.5 hours in hand to explore the palace and garden. Main done is behind the small done. Make sure to have a water bottle as lots of things to be explored. By 11:30 guards start preparing the place for namaz prayer. It looks excellent in night from outside. Muslims can enter any time for prayer

Al Alam Palace is must visit place in Muscat. No entry inside the palace allowed but view from the outside is great too. This place represents the traditional architecture, surrounded by greenery and hills. I enjoyed walking near the palace despite it was hot afternoon.

While you can’t go inside, it’s still worth stopping by to admire the architecture and learn a bit about Oman's history and royal heritage. The palace has long been a symbol of Oman’s modernization and continued stability, and while we could only view it from the outside, it’s clear why it holds such importance. The National Museum of Oman is located just opposite to the main entrance.

Al Alam Palace is the ceremonial palace of the Sultan of Oman and used welcoming foreign dignitaries and heads of state etc. Visited it from outside. The striking blue color of the palace makes it special, that is visible from a distance. Pictures can be taken both from the front and the back.

We were here for dinner. The place is nice, but the ventilation could be much better. The air inside is stale. The food is good; the steaks are very good, and the seafood is just okay because they overbake it. You can drink beer, also from a 2.5-liter "giraffe."

Very cool dive bar in Muscat. Was a little quiet when we arrived but livened up. Food is excellent, chateaubriand was fantastic and perfectly cooked. Great choice if you want a low key fun night. Gaurav served us and was great!

I had the pleasure of visiting Rock Bottom last Thursday, and I must say, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The ambiance was cozy yet lively, with just the right mix of music .A special shoutout goes to Idhayavarman,who truly elevated our visit. 2 floors with several sessions from ancient history of Oman to modern era, including Islamic presentation. Better follow the instructions at the entrance the guide suggested to start the visiting tour. The short documentary in the 1st floor film room is very informative, separately played in Arabic and English, no subtitles, briefly introduced the history of Oman.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Their friendliness added to the overall positive atmosphere of the museum. It was also a nice surprise to have access to free internet throughout the visit, which made it convenient to look up more information or share the experience in real time. Another great feature is that photography is allowed, which meant I could capture and keep memories of some of my favorite displays. Whether you're a history enthusiast or just looking to understand more about Oman’s identity, this museum is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended for visitors of all ages.

The National Museum is located right in front of Al Alam Palace, making the entire area a beautiful and well-maintained spot in Muscat. The surroundings are perfect for a leisurely walk, photography, and soaking in the city’s royal and cultural ambiance. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to visit inside the museum, but it’s known for its impressive collection of Omani artifacts, heritage exhibits, and historical displays — definitely worth a visit if you have more time.

Covering themes such as "Land and People," "The Glory of Islam," and "Maritime History," the museum houses over 7,000 artifacts. Very nice museum, super interesting also highlighting the relation with other nations. Even as a foreign student it was free for me which was also a nice bonus.

Fantastic venue to see Oman' s heritage and glorious history. It's an eye opener about how amazing are Oman's people and culture and civilization.

We went for the free flow Wednesday (basically snacks and drinks). Not very busy ( probably because it was midweek) but a very nice laid back ambience. Cool, fresh and modern decor with a backdrop of ambient/chill music. There is the option of sitting outside or inside. The outside seating area is pleasant with some nice views over Muscat. The food was very well presented and tasty. The service was impeccable and the waitress very attentive. Overall a very nice, chilled place. Excellent for a snack or a meal. Although we didn't have a main course, the menu looked inviting.

The place has changed the name, and it’s now called LiquidSky (Jan 2020). The place looks good but was pretty much empty when I came. However the food was good and the drinks too. Maybe they should hire someone to keep their social media and google maps up to date, making a better marketing of the place.

Service is 0 Main reason for our complete group to stop going is security. They are bunch of morons . Literally illiterate with no sence to talk . If your reading this need to understand if customer comes they spend and you get your salary. If you treat customers bad they will stop coming and you loose business. And by the way now there are many good option available.

Slightly expensive, in general in Oman prices of liquor have increased, but nice ambience and selection of liquor. Guinness, Dab, Colt 45, Stella Artois are some of the beers available. Most people start coming in after 10pm on Thursdays and Fridays apparently. If you want to have a drink or two with friends in peace, visit before this time.

Visited on a Thursday night and had a good time. Really lively place, good music from Pop, R&B to Afrobeats (which really surprised me) - fantastic DJ. Lots of sitting and dancing space work lots of cider, beer, wine and spirits on offer. Not sure about cocktails, didn't see any the whole night. The prices are very fair too!

This museum definitely was the most attractive place I visited during my journey in Oman. If you wanna know about the Omani culture and principles don’t hesitate to visit this place. The staff are very welcome and also knowledgeable and you can feel free to ask them anything about the museum.

I was here today and spent a couple of hours in the somewhat sprawling complex. I found the Omani artefact displays interesting and I really appreciated the English placards explaining the history of men and women dress, frankincense, jewellery and other ethnographic aspects. The art in one gallery wasn’t to my taste (especially the AI “art” ugh and sadly only one floor of a three story art gallery was open. So I dinked a star for that bc I shouldn’t have to pay full admission fee - a whopping 9 euros!- with closed exhibits. That said, the model village outside is adorable and the old photos and prints of Muscat from a century and older are fascinating. The restaurant and café on site are a bit expensive. But staff was overall lovely, and I’m grateful they let me leave a bag at the front desk. I’d still recommend this place to get a good sense of Omani cultures and history.

Bait Al Zubair Museum is a masterpiece for those who wish to understand the history and culture of Oman. We had the pleasure to discover this outstanding museum with the amazing tour guide called Hassan. He is so passionate on delivering all what is related to Omani history & culture in an easy & interesting way. All the members of the group like his explanation. We were able to have a closer look at jewellery, Khanjars, Omani traditional clothes & stamps. We had the chance to see Gallery Sarah, which is new section at this museum. We appreciate the warm welcoming at the museum & delivering the beauty of Oman in an amazing way. Tickets are needed to enter the museum - you can get from the reception there.

To conclude the experience, we enjoyed a traditional serving of Omani coffee and dates, which was a perfect ending to an unforgettable visit. It is located in the old Muscat. So it is a wonderful opportunity to see the old historical buildings there. Even though it's a small museum, it has many interesting items. You can learn about traditional Omani clothes and jewelry.

One of the Best Mexican Spots in Muscat! If you're craving some solid Tex-Mex in Muscat, this is the place to go. The food is seriously tasty, the portions are huge (trust me—don’t get greedy like I did and over-order), and the prices are super reasonable. Drinks are also easy on the wallet, and the vibe is awesome. The music is great, especially if you're into karaoke—it really adds to the fun. Just a heads-up though, it gets loud, so talking to the person next to you might feel like a shouting match. It’s a busy spot, so booking a table in advance is a good idea if you want to sit and chill. I walked in and luckily grabbed a seat at the bar, which worked out just fine. This is one of the few older and licensed restaurants in Muscat (allowed to serve alcohol and cocktails) located in madina qaboos is an authentic Mexican restaurant which serves awesome food and ambience and also live band playing music. Must try the Asado de tira, tamales chicken and qaesadilla chicken.

This historic fort is very old and reflects the rich heritage of the country. Visitors need to climb stairs to explore it, but it’s worth the effort. The inside of the fort is fascinating, and the view from the top is truly stunning.

Easy to get to, not massive so a quick tour is all you need. Great views and a dinky little coffee shop near the top. Nice experience overall. It's really about the view, not much to do within the fort itself, maybe most of that has been locked off?

It’s a peaceful and photogenic spot, perfect for a quick visit while exploring Old Muscat. The souk is nearby.. in the fort they don’t allow water bottles which was disappointing.. the fort is best during sunsent time..

This fort is basically Oman’s way of saying, “We’ve got walls, and we know how to use them.” Climb up and you get a killer view of the harbor and corniche—perfect for pretending you’re starring in a historical epic. The walls are old, the stones are impressive, and the history whispers (or maybe shouts) at you from every corner. Pro tip: wear comfy shoes unless you enjoy feeling like a medieval mountain goat.

Beautiful place with lots of history. I recommend you go during December or during the winter month because they have lots of activities there and live music. The history is amazing. The scenes are amazing. The weather in winter time is amazing. And thr Omani people are amazing. This is my 6th time visiting and I always come back here.

The Mutrah Castle is a lovely spot to visit while exploring Muscat. 🏰 It may be small, but it’s well worth the stop for the good views over the city, the port, and the sea. The location carries a sense of history, and walking around gives you a glimpse into Oman’s heritage. It’s a simple visit, but the scenery and atmosphere make it worthwhile. A nice place to take photos, enjoy the view, and connect with the history of Mutrah.

bought a ticket right at the entrance using a mastercard for 3.3 omr which equates to $8.57 usd. they don’t accept amex. well worth it imo. the views are beyond amazing. all the way at the top during sunset is so magical. if you come definitely come during the sunset.

One of my favourite spots in Muscat for fish and chips. I keep coming back because theirs is, in my opinion, the best in town – crispy, fresh, and always satisfying. The view from the balcony is another highlight, with a stunning overlook of Qurum beach that adds to the whole experience. Great food, great setting.

Duke’s Bar at Crowne Plaza Muscat is hands down the best spot in Muscat to enjoy a sunset. The view is absolutely breathtaking – a perfect backdrop as the sun dips into the horizon. The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant, and the service was excellent throughout. I tried the Hoegaarden beer, and it was served perfectly chilled – an absolute delight. We went there to board the ferry which takes us for dolphin watch and to do snorkeling. The place has a nice feel with a lot of boats and activities.

There are several offices where you can book dolphin watching tours. The tour is typically two-hour long and offers refreshments. Average cost is around 10 OMR per adult. Free parking on site. Highly recommended activity.

Dolphin watching at Marina Bander Al Rowdha... Must watch place in oman... Unluckily we could spot only 2 dolphins today.. But the spots, scenary around was amazing. The whole 2 hours is worth spending. We went with Coral ocean tours agency. The yacht was very clean and hygiene..all safety measures were included..light refreshments also provided..The staff was very friendly and good.

A very beautiful place where you could have a yacht tour as there are some companies that would give the tours with fair prices. The sea tour would take you to see the dolphins and it will also take you to a calm place where you swim peacefully. You could also walk along the marina, only a small walk, and there are few restaurants. I recommend going to this place either early in the morning or during winter months. Never recommending this place in the summer, otherwise you will get severly hit by sun.

It’s a nice place, service is good, they provide good snakes with the beers, however there is no crowd place is usually empty, it’s good maybe if some goes for a date or a business conversation or something like that. Lost people who go there are who stay in the hotel. Hardly they have 25 tables.

It's smaller than I thought.. around 10 to 15 tables. Staff is nice but looks lost like new to the place. As of today July 5 2019 only 3 beers available due to recent taxes imposed. Tiger, Heineken and Amstel. Not bad not extraordinary either.

Great place to have dinner in winter. Best for couples or small groups of up to 6. The ambiance and service was really good. While the food was very delicious and plated well- the portions were small for the price paid. Dish of the day was the chicken skewers and the dragon roll maki. Recommended

Yesterday for the first time we had a very bad experience with Chedi normally it's one of the best whenever we have been there before. We visited for tea and sandwich and were seated by pool cabana area however we felt very racist behavior. We were waiting for our order even after 7 but others were given water and warm bread to begin with - nothing to us.. even our order came late and wasn't upto the mark as usually chedi food is great. The moroccan tea was not good at all and was served in French press.. Of the whole order only the fries were good. Please let me clarify none of the other guests were fasting. Also the place was practically empty and we were just enjoying the ambience but service came and cleared our plates with the final bill indirectly asking us to leave. Even when we had ordered sheesha from huqqa (outsourced) service; that also wasn't at par. Left us with an unusually bitter experience especially when we came with our family.

One of the longest pool I have ever seen.

While my overall evaluation of The Chedi hotel is 5 stars, this place, which they dare to call restaurant, is considerably below their standard. First of all, maybe due to the particular position nearby the long pool, everything (table, chairs, floor) was completely wet, and humidity was quite annoying. Food was not bad, but clients are obliged to eat it in an almost complete darkness, therefore I had to use my telephone light to see what I was eating. Furthermore, the tables are low, not suitable for serving a lunch or dinner but just useful if you put a drink on them. And they don't serve fingerfood but dishes to be eaten using fork and knife. I had to eat bent on my belly, in a very inconfondibile and vomit giving position. Prices, for such a torture, are simply crazy. Maybe my evaluation would have been less severe, if they had told me it was a wine bar and not a restaurant.

The Siddharta Lounge by Buddha bar is inside the W hotel located on the 6th floor. They serve a fusion cuisine between Western food and Asian. Some nights they have an all you can eat sushi promo, which is definitely worth checking out. The bao buns were heavenly and the dessert “dulce de leche brownie” was amazing!

Top experience. Lobster gioza and lobster roll are amazing. Great beachfront view, ambient music and quality service.

Well, if you are at W as a guess you will be surprise that you can wear shorts but not sandals. It is interesting that been a hotel by the beach does not allow that. Traveling for business, quite often you want to take a shower after doing some exercises and have a quick dinner… and go to bed; however, in this case you need to dress up, probably in this case, you might want to go to more friendly places. The staff can be a little rude enforcing the rule.

Had a lovely dining experience with my family here on the rooftop restaurant/bar of the W hotel. I am sure the outside view during sunset is wonderful. There is also an infinity pool up there. The service could have been a bit more attentive especially when it's not during busy hours, as it does come off somewhat professional if we are waiting around longer than usual for some help when there are only a few other occupied tables in the establishment; however, the experience was overall good, regardless - it might have just been that night. The aesthetic is very modern and blue-looking. They don't have an abundance of menu options, but they have just enough for this type of place. We enjoyed our food and their lovely presentations. The prices are, of course, high, as expected. They have some events here at times, so just make sure to check on those beforehand. From what I recall, they are usually closed on Tuesdays.

Perfect place to hang on with friends. Best cocktail in the town 🍹. The place is W Muscat hotel. Ambiance was perfect and good. The price of food and cocktails are expensive. Recommended for cocktails and drinks. It may cost around per person 20 to 30 riyals. Nice place to relax a weekend nights… highly recommended place for cocktail lovers…. 🙂

Very delicious Iranian food with a beautiful view, wonderful service. We had the tasting menu for 17.500 OMR per person, but we were quite surprised to see that almost 20.000 OMR were added to the bill (tourist fee, taxes, etc)… otherwise it’s an excellent restaurant

We had a gorgeous dinner at the Shiraz. Omani and Persian food, equally delicious. Our waiter Santosh was extremely friendly and shared with us some lovely stories from Nepal. Hopefully we’ll be able to come back next year.

We saw the waterfalls when driving and though we would check this out. They are part of the park. We went in June. it was completely empty. It was quite clean. Many playground for kids. The park is big and we didn’t see all of it but we liked the parts that we walked through

A beautiful large park which has a small lake, beautiful walking paths, numerous benches and picnic tables under the shade, a small amphitheater, and a spectacular man-made waterfall. Entrance is free and it's a great place to walk, sit under a shady tree and have a picnic, watch the kids play on one of several free playgrounds, or go to the back of the park to walk around the lake or see the waterfall. There are several water closets in the park, clean and well maintained. There is also a fancy restaurant near the main entrance. A great place for walking, or bring the family to play and relax in the shade. If you're in this part of Muscat and you like parks, I would certainly recommend this one.

Great historical site with fantastic views over the sea and Old Muscat. The fort is well preserved and you can walk inside to explore its old structure and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Staff were helpful and informative. It’s not very large, so the visit doesn’t take long, but it’s definitely worth it if you’re in the area. A solid cultural stop—just wish there was a bit more signage or detailed info inside.

The entry fee is 4 OMR a bit high, but the fort is really well organized and worth a visit. You’ll need about 40 minutes to explore the whole place. There’s also a nice coffee shop on top with marvelous views. perfect spot to relax and take it all in!

The fort was impressive and holds a rich historical background. However, be prepared for a lot of stairs if you’re not in good shape, this might be challenging. Also, watch your step, as the pathways can be uneven and there’s a risk of slipping. That said, the staff at the fort are helpful and can assist in case of any emergency. As a local, I recommend visiting this place if you have some extra time and money. Beyond its history, the fort offers a stunning 360-degree view of Old Muscat, Al Alam Palace, and the sea, it’s truly worth it.

It has nice view of Arabian sea, sultan palace and other fort, however there is nothing to see inside the fort. You can finish the fort in 10 min and entry charges are 11 riyal. It is too expensive.

Al Mirani castle is situated near Al Alam Royal palace, Muscat. It was built in the 1580s by the Portuguese to defend Muscat's coastline. The place is known for Architectural Marvels and its thick walls and watchtowers. Good parking space. Make a visit for an enchanting view of the Palace, sea with mountains !!!

The views are great. The elevators make it easy as well for people with reduced mobility. The 5.5 omr ticket per adult resident is too much. (The 5y old went free). Best timing 1h before sunset to get all the different settings. You dont need more than 1h up there unless there is an event. There was a nice breeze

Beautiful restaurant serving delicious north Indian dishes and beverages in capital. Nice ambience creating perfect mood for any occasion. Courteous staff to help us. We had hot n sour chicken soup, chicken lollipop, kadai chicken and fish, chicken biriyani and tandoori butter roti, all of us enjoy tasty food. Definitely worth a try and value for money. It was very bad experience, we came from shangrilla hotel expecting to have something good, however we waited around an hour to receive our main dish, it was rude from the stuff to give food similar to what we have ordered to tables next by, after we have spoken multiple times with different waiters, they promised to provide food soon, but it wasn’t true, I assume they treat people based on their clothes and nationality. To be honest, the food was good,but I would never suggest this restaurant to anyone.

I had a wonderful experience at Copper Chimney, and a big part of that was thanks to the exceptional service provided by Subhashis. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome with his warm and friendly approach. Subhashis was not only courteous and professional but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He gave us thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences and made sure everything was served to perfection. His attention to detail and genuine care for the guests stood out throughout our visit. Dining at Copper Chimney is always a treat, but Subhashis made this visit especially memorable. He is a true asset to the team, and I highly recommend looking out for him if you want top-notch service with a smile.

Went there last night and had a blast. We were the first to get in and it was awesome. Even if the terrasse wasn't open (FYI we're in winter), the food was excellent. After a long journey of travel coming from Sydney, that place was really good.

Fresh fish and seafood, you can chose from fresh fish which one you prefer. We really enjoyed our lunch here. Recommending.

Today 21 Sep 2025, it close but you can free to enjoy the view from the gate.

This gate marks the western entrance to the old city. Historic accounts mention in 1624 the building of an earthen land wall was started. Previously the city was mainly protected by two forts at the sea side that was most vulnerable to attack by Ottomans and Portuguese. The latter after having established their power in Muscat were challenged by Omani tribes living in the interior (landside). in 1650 the Portuguese were ousted. What started as an earthen wall was upgraded through the ages. The gate structure houses a museum on the upper floor.We could not enter as the venue was closed. The views from the Gate were good. We returned a couple of hours later and the facility was still closed.

This is not so big museum but it's a gem. We totally enjoyed it there. The sitting place under the tree was heavenly. Cool breeze from the sea was mind blowing weather. Although no one was there, gate was open, we went inside, but lights were off, couldn’t find switches to turn it on. Recommend if you have enough time in Muscat.

It has nice ambience for evening walk/family outing ...... But we cannot access the museum in the evenings/weekends/Public holidays, as it is working only on weekdays from 8am to 2pm...... So we may have to take a day off to visit the places which are accessible only on weekdays (we have many places like this in oman.... esp forts and museums ....where expatriates cannot go on holidays)

A small modern and very well presented museum. Lots of interesting historic I formation. Informative polite staff who are very willing to answer your questions. We'll worth a trip. Not too big as to overwhelme you with I formation.

Free entry, good collection of exhibits showcasing history of Oman. Good photo opportunity, multiple entry n exits available. A mini amphitheater also exists. Toilet was locked-probably meant for staff only.

This is not so big museum but it's a gem. We totally enjoyed it there. Hope they update the telephone number. I did mention to the person who was there but let's see if they would update it.

The Oman Air lounge is generally nice. Multiple seating and dining areas, smoking room, quiet room, and showers. Food is really good, with not many options, but good quality.

Its a great lounge, enjoyed a shower after a long flight. And had some nice warm breakfast. I would definitely come again. It was not too full between 5-7am on a weekend.

The Oman Air Business Lounge at Muscat Airport was very impressive with its spacious layout and luxurious amenities. While most aspects of the lounge are excellent, my experience at their restaurant-style dining area was deeply disappointing due to what appeared to be discriminatory service. Despite being seated for over 5 minutes and repeatedly trying to get attention, including raising my hand towards a group of servers, I was completely ignored. What made this particularly concerning was watching new Arab guests who arrived after me receive immediate service - both a single diner seated at the table right in front of me and an elderly couple beside me were attended to within seconds of sitting down. As someone of Chinese Asian descent, I eventually had to walk to the front and directly approach the waitstaff to place my order. This type of discriminatory treatment is unacceptable in any setting, but especially so in an international business class lounge where all passengers deserve equal respect and attention. However, it's worth noting that my experience at other areas of the lounge, particularly with the bar staff, was excellent. The lounge itself offers outstanding amenities and comfort - it's just unfortunate that the dining service failed to maintain the same professional standards. While I can recommend the lounge for its facilities and most of its services, I believe the restaurant section's service standards need significant improvement to ensure all guests receive equal treatment regardless of their ethnicity.

The place is huge, separated by function. I was given a private room which nice since I was not well. Throughly enjoyed my stay.

This is a top airport lounge. Spacious, bright and plenty of seating. Excellent food, drinks and service. Staff are very friendly. The view from the terrace is great, overlooking the runways with the mountains in the back. Everything is so, so clean. Wifi is fast and there is plenty of comfortable seating. Doesn't feel crowded even with lots of people here. A delightful experience 10/10

I really enjoyed the Oman Air Lounge. It has a private rooms for the famillies. Stuff there were friendly.

Doesnt have the same fascinating views as the qurum branch, but the staff here is way more friendly. Great place to chill with your friends, smoke, maybe grab a bite. Definitely recommend!

It is very nice restaurant and the cuisines have an authentic taste. Sitting area is good especially for watching a football game, and the most important thing is the outdoor space which can be used for Shisha. It is located in a good place near by the airport.

Not bad location although close to The Wave and airport... Service is acceptable. Usually you have to call the waiters more than one time to answer you... The shisha is great but they usually forget to change the charcoal

Very photogenic castle on a rock outcrop. Built by the Portuguese over some earlier fortifications to defend the city from Ottoman attacks. It became a notorious prison during the 20th century and is now only accesible to the Sultan and his guests.

The massive Al Jalali Fort, a fortress also known as Ash Sharqiya located in Muscat, Oman. It was used as a prison for most of the 20th century, and now a private museum for dignitaries only. Public access is restricted. Al Jalali Fort is one of a pair of forts, along with Al Mirani Fort, that were built to protect the harbor. It's beautiful architectural piece and being located on the harbour, the fort offers a stunning view of the entire city of Muscat. The attraction for tourists are the magnificent exterior view and the surrounding area's historical charm !!!

Even though it is not open to the general public, it is a nice architectural piece, that shows the traditional Omani fort architecture. The area around is nice to walk around, and it is best enjoyed from the other side of the bay, where you can see the entire fort.

Very good spot of the airport to have a meal or drinks. Alcoholic beverages are also available. It is quiet nice. Have its own designated smoking area. Will bring you a countryside bar to watch your favorite sport live. Their food is really great. I like the ambience, you can see the view of the planes.

Nice place inside of the Muscat airport, definitely better than the food court but also quite expensive. Don’t expect too much from the food but they have good beet on tap and some TVs with sports channels.

Tickerdaze is a nice place before your flight. Has lots of electric plugs to charge phone or laptop. Reception was excellent. Staff are friendly and attentive. They have lots of food diversity but mainly western menu. Iots if drink diversity. Warning: knives and forks are not sharp due to airport security regulations so avoid steaks or so.
