One of the finest architecture in world. Majestic and beautiful. This place exudes omani grandeur and is a mixture of Islamic architectures all over world. Women need to cover head and dress appropriately to cover the whole body. Men should avoid shorts. Non muslims can enter only 8 AM to 11 AM except Friday. Take atleast 1.5 hours in hand to explore the palace and garden. Main done is behind the small done. Make sure to have a water bottle as lots of things to be explored. By 11:30 guards start preparing the place for namaz prayer. It looks excellent in night from outside. Muslims can enter any time for prayer

Beautiful mosque. Built between 1994 and 2001 on a previously free land from the will of the sultan in order to give to Muscat the right place to pray between tradition and modernity. The outside is big with fountains, plants and flowers. Then there is the mosque, outside is magnificent and beautiful to admire with his Carrara's marble (always cleaned and polished), towers and structures. The inside is beautiful too with a chandelier of 8 tons and a beautiful Iranian carpet. A different with other mosque I saw is that here is not possibile to sit and some area of the mosque are fenced. It's possible to roam outside though the halls that are really nice through the morning light (inside, the mosque is open only from 8 to 11). The entrance is free, and the clothes must be respectful.

The mosque is the definition of magnificient!!!! The grand mosque is just too beautiful , you cant imagine or can see the true beauty from images or videos, perdonally visit this mosque and feel it. Womens can also visit it but only before 11Am also with modest dressing. So keep in mind before visiting. I visited on saturday and it was closed but still got entry as i said "i was going for a prayer" Note:- Dont take videos of the gaurds its not allowed if they found out they will ask ypu to delete the video even from recycle bin Visited on 30th August 2025

A great place to visit. We got a quick tour of the opera (up to 10 mins about history) and then we had a free time. It is a beautiful place, it is a pure definition of royalty. Worth seeing. Cost per person is 3.1 OMR, only by card.

The building beautifully blends traditional Omani architecture with modern design, making it one of the most iconic landmarks in the country. I couldn’t manage time to visit inside, but stopped for a while to take some photos. The architecture is truly stunning — elegant, detailed, and a masterpiece that reflects Oman’s rich heritage.

I truly enjoyed my time here and wished there had been a display of past performances, perhaps through a projector on stage or even just audio. It would have been wonderful to see an exhibition showcasing all the bands or singers who performed, along with their signatures. Additionally, I would have loved a gift shop to pick up a souvenir as a memento of the experience.

Our guest really enjoyed visiting the Royal Opera House Muscat! They were impressed by the beautiful architecture and elegant atmosphere. It’s truly one of the most remarkable cultural landmarks in Oman

This place is majestic and its huge. Sadly I didn't have the chance to see the museum parts of it. However I took a tour around the facility and went to check out some coffee shops. This place really is so beautiful and such a great mix between modern luxuries and classical architecture

This museum definitely was the most attractive place I visited during my journey in Oman. If you wanna know about the Omani culture and principles don’t hesitate to visit this place. The staff are very welcome and also knowledgeable and you can feel free to ask them anything about the museum.

I was here today and spent a couple of hours in the somewhat sprawling complex. I found the Omani artefact displays interesting and I really appreciated the English placards explaining the history of men and women dress, frankincense, jewellery and other ethnographic aspects. The art in one gallery wasn’t to my taste (especially the AI “art” ugh and sadly only one floor of a three story art gallery was open. So I dinked a star for that bc I shouldn’t have to pay full admission fee - a whopping 9 euros!- with closed exhibits. That said, the model village outside is adorable and the old photos and prints of Muscat from a century and older are fascinating. The restaurant and café on site are a bit expensive. But staff was overall lovely, and I’m grateful they let me leave a bag at the front desk. I’d still recommend this place to get a good sense of Omani cultures and history.

Bait Al Zubair Museum is a masterpiece for those who wish to understand the history and culture of Oman. We had the pleasure to discover this outstanding museum with the amazing tour guide called Hassan. He is so passionate on delivering all what is related to Omani history & culture in an easy & interesting way. All the members of the group like his explanation. We were able to have a closer look at jewellery, Khanjars, Omani traditional clothes & stamps. We had the chance to see Gallery Sarah, which is new section at this museum. We appreciate the warm welcoming at the museum & delivering the beauty of Oman in an amazing way. Tickets are needed to enter the museum - you can get from the reception there.

This museum opens early -9am. It was worth coming to visit before strolling to National Museum of Oman. It has slightly different aspect on the history and personal artefacts displayed.

Favorite museum as it’s collected, simple and houses a great private collection. I love their cafe too the staff are super friendly and they serve great food. The atmosphere is lovely and even though I’m Omani I love visiting the place regularly.

The original structure was built over 200 years ago by Imam Sultan bin Ahmed, and the current palace was rebuilt in 1972. The building features a distinctive blue and gold facade and is framed by the historic Portuguese forts of Mirani and Jalali, dating back to the 16th century. Together, they form a setting that reflects both Muscat’s defensive past and its modern architectural identity. Although the palace is not open to visitors, the public area in front of it offers a clear view and is well maintained. The walkway leading to the gates is clean and organized, making it a pleasant short visit, especially for those interested in Omani history and culture. A brief stop here provides a good sense of the country’s royal heritage and the surrounding Old Muscat area.

Al Alam Palace is must visit place in Muscat. No entry inside the palace allowed but view from the outside is great too. This place represents the traditional architecture, surrounded by greenery and hills. I enjoyed walking near the palace despite it was hot afternoon.

The surrounding gardens and the views of the coastline make it an ideal spot for photos and a peaceful visit, but unfortunately, access to the interior is restricted. While you can’t go inside, it’s still worth stopping by to admire the architecture and learn a bit about Oman's history and royal heritage. The palace has long been a symbol of Oman’s modernization and continued stability, and while we could only view it from the outside, it’s clear why it holds such importance. The National Museum of Oman is located just opposite to the main entrance.

Al Alam Palace is the ceremonial palace of the Sultan of Oman and used welcoming foreign dignitaries and heads of state etc. Visited it from outside. The striking blue color of the palace makes it special, that is visible from a distance. Pictures can be taken both from the front and the back.

A must visit spots for tourists. Most shops are so friendly. Good prices. Quality items. Can even found roman & gladiator's iron helmet here. Its an airconditioned souq. Great place to hide from hot sunny weather outside.

That’s crazy old. Feels like I am at 1940. There are Indians trading everywhere. And Foreigners who are buying. Old fashioned shop. Clean only where is trading, if you come beyond the market it’s so dirty and dark. It’s safe, no worries at all. For experience it’s nice. Prices are highly overpriced and goods are there over-old and not fresh. Maybe some shops are genuine, you may bargain and get things really cheap. Very boring place. Cafes there don’t have any customer service. However it’s a heritage and it’s somehow beautiful and entertaining. There is gold market. Fancy and excited.

The place looked beautiful with all the lights during the night time, but the only issue we faced was parking… it was hard to find a spot on the weekend. However, if you go a bit further, there’s a large parking area near the musical fountain.

Visited Mutrah Souq, one of the oldest traditional markets in Oman, dating back over a century. This beach is truly a gem! It's incredibly lively, with people of all ages enjoying themselves. You can hear the laughter of children building sandcastles, the cheerful chatter of families having picnics, and the energetic music from beach volleyball games. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, making it easy to get into the holiday spirit.

It was absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. The sound of the ocean was soothing the soul as well as watching people enjoying themselves on the beach by playing football. The scenery was indescribable beautiful and I was taken a back of the beauty. This is a beautiful stretch of sand, extending for about 5km. When we visited there in the evening were no loungers or umbrellas, nothing on the beach at all to help you relax. It was a lovely stroll and very picturesque as well as being shallow so you could stand up 50m out into the water. There are number of eateries and cafes along the beach and even shopping centers. The Qurum beach is located in an up market place of Muscat where most of the 5 star hotels are housed along the waterfront. Really beautiful evening place to stroll. But be careful to dress modesty.

We had a wonderful visit to Mutrah Corniche, now even more delightful with the new musical fountain that adds charm for evenings. It’s an ideal hangout spot for families and kids, offering scenic sea views, artful walkways, and soothing music that enhances the atmosphere. The well-maintained promenade is perfect for strolling, relaxing, and enjoying the coastal breeze. Just a heads-up: parking can be quite difficult during weekend rush hours, so visiting by taxi or earlier in the day is a good idea. Overall, a lovely family-friendly destination with views and entertainment for all ages.

Mutrah Corniche is a must-visit area in Muscat — a beautiful and peaceful waterfront promenade that perfectly captures the charm of the city. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Their friendliness added to the overall positive atmosphere of the museum. It was also a nice surprise to have access to free internet throughout the visit, which made it convenient to look up more information or share the experience in real time. Another great feature is that photography is allowed, which meant I could capture and keep memories of some of my favorite displays. Whether you're a history enthusiast or just looking to understand more about Oman’s identity, this museum is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended for visitors of all ages.

its a wonderful museum opposite the sultan's palace a beautiful building i can compare the bahrain museum to the cathar and omani museum the weakest the bahrain museum has almost nothing there the qatar museum is like a local history exhibition the cathar museum is very nice and high quality almost the same or higher level the building is fantastically modern this exhibition carries the oman culture the high standards and the interestingness definitely visit it pay attention that it is usually only open until four in the afternoon and an hour before that you probably won't get a ticket it's only friday it's open until five i recommend it very nice the pictures speak for themselves

A wonderful journey into the history of Oman. As you meander through the 2 storey museum, iIt reignites a love for this country, its people and natural wonders. I recommend visiting on a weekend end as schools plan trips during the week.

Great historical site with fantastic views over the sea and Old Muscat. The fort is well preserved and you can walk inside to explore its old structure and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Staff were helpful and informative. It’s not very large, so the visit doesn’t take long, but it’s definitely worth it if you’re in the area. A solid cultural stop—just wish there was a bit more signage or detailed info inside.

The entry fee is 4 OMR a bit high, but the fort is really well organized and worth a visit. You’ll need about 40 minutes to explore the whole place. There’s also a nice coffee shop on top with marvelous views. perfect spot to relax and take it all in!

It has nice view of Arabian sea, sultan palace and other fort, however there is nothing to see inside the fort. You can finish the fort in 10 min and entry charges are 11 riyal. It is too expensive.

Al Mirani castle is situated near Al Alam Royal palace, Muscat. It was built in the 1580s by the Portuguese to defend Muscat's coastline. The place is known for Architectural Marvels and its thick walls and watchtowers. Good parking space. Make a visit for an enchanting view of the Palace, sea with mountains !!!

The views are great. The elevators make it easy as well for people with reduced mobility. The 5.5 omr ticket per adult resident is too much. (The 5y old went free). Best timing 1h before sunset to get all the different settings. You dont need more than 1h up there unless there is an event. There was a nice breeze

The massive Al Jalali Fort, a fortress also known as Ash Sharqiya located in Muscat, Oman. It was used as a prison for most of the 20th century, and now a private museum for dignitaries only. Public access is restricted. Al Jalali Fort is one of a pair of forts, along with Al Mirani Fort, that were built to protect the harbor. It's beautiful architectural piece and being located on the harbour, the fort offers a stunning view of the entire city of Muscat. The attraction for tourists are the magnificent exterior view and the surrounding area's historical charm !!!

Even though it is not open to the general public, it is a nice architectural piece, that shows the traditional Omani fort architecture. The area around is nice to walk around, and it is best enjoyed from the other side of the bay, where you can see the entire fort.

Been to a few times, it’s the kind of place you’d finish in a few rounds. There are cafes, restaurants almost everywhere. There’s a food court, with access to kids’ play-zone and leading to the cinema.

City Centre Mall in Muscat is a solid spot for a day out. It has a good mix of shops, from popular brands to local stores, and a decent selection of restaurants. Beautiful place with lots of history. I recommend you go during December or during the winter month because they have lots of activities there and live music. The history is amazing. The scenes are amazing. The weather in winter time is amazing. And thr Omani people are amazing. This is my 6th time visiting and I always come back here.

A very beautiful park, both adults and kids can enjoy. There is an amusement park once you walk down. There are plenty of greenery and lovely views. There is a restaurant and small stalls. There are toilets. There are plenty of flies and mosquitos, though, so be prepared.

We saw the waterfalls when driving and though we would check this out. They are part of the park. We went in June. it was completely empty. It was quite clean. Many playground for kids. The park is big and we didn’t see all of it but we liked the parts that we walked through

A beautiful large park which has a small lake, beautiful walking paths, numerous benches and picnic tables under the shade, a small amphitheater, and a spectacular man-made waterfall. Entrance is free and it's a great place to walk, sit under a shady tree and have a picnic, watch the kids play on one of several free playgrounds, or go to the back of the park to walk around the lake or see the waterfall. There are several water closets in the park, clean and well maintained. There is also a fancy restaurant near the main entrance. A great place for walking, or bring the family to play and relax in the shade. If you're in this part of Muscat and you like parks, I would certainly recommend this one.

There were some collations of adventures to enjoy the peacefulness and get rid of some worries. We can take children to enjoy the places with them. There is a lot of fun and we can go on a picnic there. Just imagine we can rent a cycle/electric bike to around there. There is one pond also there. We can go walk around the pond. Took 6km it's my calculations. May took more. We can enjoy it peacefully and we can leave memories there. ✨💕There little bit of neatness is needed.

Today 21 Sep 2025, it close but you can free to enjoy the view from the gate.

This gate marks the western entrance to the old city. Historic accounts mention in 1624 the building of an earthen land wall was started. Previously the city was mainly protected by two forts at the sea side that was most vulnerable to attack by Ottomans and Portuguese. The latter after having established their power in Muscat were challenged by Omani tribes living in the interior (landside). in 1650 the Portuguese were ousted. What started as an earthen wall was upgraded through the ages. The gate structure houses a museum on the upper floor.We could not enter as the venue was closed. The views from the Gate were good. We returned a couple of hours later and the facility was still closed.

This is not so big museum but it's a gem. We totally enjoyed it there. The sitting place under the tree was heavenly. Cool breeze from the sea was mind blowing weather. Although no one was there, gate was open, we went inside, but lights were off, couldn’t find switches to turn it on. Recommend if you have enough time in Muscat.

It has nice ambience for evening walk/family outing ...... But we cannot access the museum in the evenings/weekends/Public holidays, as it is working only on weekdays from 8am to 2pm...... So we may have to take a day off to visit the places which are accessible only on weekdays (we have many places like this in oman.... esp forts and museums ....where expatriates cannot go on holidays)

A small modern and very well presented museum. Lots of interesting historic I formation. Informative polite staff who are very willing to answer your questions. We'll worth a trip. Not too big as to overwhelme you with I formation.

Free entry, good collection of exhibits showcasing history of Oman. Good photo opportunity, multiple entry n exits available. A mini amphitheater also exists. Toilet was locked-probably meant for staff only.

This is not so big museum but it's a gem. We totally enjoyed it there. Hope they update the telephone number. I did mention to the person who was there but let's see if they would update it.

We went to see a movie at VOX Cinemas in City Centre Qurum. While the mall felt a bit quieter than in the past, it still offers most of the things you need for a practical and comfortable visit. VOX is fully operational and features multiple screens, including an IMAX experience, with comfortable seating. Though many shops have closed, the mall remains functional with a useful food court, a Carrefour grocery store, a handful of coffee spots, and entertainment for kids like Magic Planet. Parking is easy to find. True, it's a more relaxed mall these days—but that’s part of its charm. If you're after a low-key environment where you can grab a snack, shop for essentials, catch a movie, or keep your kids busy, this is a solid pick. Just don’t expect the buzz of larger malls—City Centre Qurum is now more about comfort and convenience than crowds.

Its a nice place and too many home stuff to buy but I can say the prices are not cheap comparing to the qualities.

I am really sorry for what this mall is now. Ever since Mall of Oman and other large malls opened, this once prosperous shopping location has delved into a dead mall. The only brands in this mall have lost a lot of people, and rarely you will even see people in the hallways of the mall. If the MAF group can see or even notice what is happening in this mall, the only hope that it can get is receive a full-scale renovation to be as similar as that to many modern malls. Though, I am very certain that such large-scale expansion would cost thousands, if not millions. QCC is like one stuck in the past. If no things would be done, it would be a sad fate for this mall to close down. It has made many childhoods lively. Anyway, good mall. ;)

Visited Burj Al Sahwa during my Oman trip and stayed for a couple of days at my friend’s apartment nearby. The roundabout is a key landmark in Seeb with its beautiful clock tower and landscaped surroundings. It’s well-connected, making it easy to reach major parts of Muscat. The area is also set to become a major transport hub. A great spot to pass by, especially in the evenings when it’s nicely lit.

Burj Al Sahwa Bus Station is without a doubt one of the most important transport hubs in Muscat — a central connection point linking long-distance routes across Oman with city destinations. Its location near the main highway and airport makes it strategically vital for both residents and travellers. However, the reality doesn’t match its importance. One stop shop for all kinds of seafood at very good prices with optional cleaning services. There are over 20 species of sea creatures here, it's also a good tourism attraction if you're unfamiliar with seafoods.

I went to MGM Mall Muscat today to visit the Ooredoo office and Bronze, and I have to say, it’s a pleasant mall to walk around. It’s clean, bright, and has a really nice mix of shops — from Rituals and Daiso to shoe stores, makeup and perfume shops, and plenty of restaurants and coffee spots to choose from. There’s also a play area for children, which makes it a convenient stop for families. Parking was easy, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and comfortable. Whether you’re going there for errands, groceries or just want to enjoy some shopping and a coffee, MGM Mall is a nice & simple place to visit in Muscat.

The interior of the shopping mall seemed to be a bit older and darker, even inside the mall, in a slump, considering that some spaces are left empty after they're gone. The food court also looked desolate, considering the large area and small number of shops, which made me realise. From the outside, it looked huge and the well-lit decorations made it attractive, especially at night. The main reason is that the new shopping centre has been built next to it. I found a new vending machine that was about to squeeze fresh oranges into fresh juice. I tried to put in a bank note several times, but it never accepted it. I also wondered why the two machines located on the ground floor near the main entrance and on the first floor in the food court area looked the same but had different prices, 1 and 0.5 OMR. Do they have different sized cups? I have high expectations that they would come to get new unique attractive shops and facilities. I felt that the shopping mall looked like the human being getting older and older while the new generation is born and grows up every year. They look like athletes who were active in the past. It was like watching the prosperity rise and fall in this shopping mall.

The museum is in old Bait Al Falaj fort and Falaj name comes from the concept of how fresh water was being provided from mountains to residence of fort. You can view that as well. For tourists, upto 10 years are free. Above 10 years it is 3 OMR per person and both cash and card options are there. The army staff there was really nice and explained different parts of exhibition very well. We followed google map, but it took us to other way which was restricted and army officer explained us how to reach to this place. So be careful on choosing the path and enter to museum site from Al Mujamma St. Try to spend maximum time in order to get maximum knowledge. Some places are restricted for taking photos. Videos are not allowed.

This was my second visit to the museum and this museum mesmerizes me everytime. All the historical facts are very well displayed. We go back to that era. Entire history of Oman is beautifully written and explained like an engaging story. The museum is very neatly maintained. We actually feel that we are on the battlefield. Salute to all the brave people who laid down their lives to resurrect Oman.

Today 20/09/2023 we were at the Armed Forces Museum. Our guide was Mr. Saleh, an excellent guide with depth knowledge of Omani History before and after Islam till date. The museum is not just about Armed forces but the history starting from 14th A.D. it includes history, revolution of Sultanate Oman and Sultan’s over time. If you are in Mascut must visit it. If you don’t have personal transport batter book a ride to avoid struggle on return or you will have to walk in mid day which will definitely hard for you to get a taxi from the road side.

The exhibitions are located in a fort, which we thought was really great! Outside you can see the vehicles of the late Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, as well as military vehicles. The museum has been designed with great attention to detail. All the staff was very nice and welcoming!! Definitely worth a visit!

We visited the place last weekend. Truly a wonderful place to reminisce Omani history, specially the reign of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, he is so much loved & remembered.💚 The place displays a lot of military equipment from the ancient times-- firearms, armor, artilleries, etc. I felt nostalgic seeing the military garments, camouflage, insignia, & other memorabilia of one Great Leader!

Great place. Housed in the old amazing fort. Very comprehensive exhibitions. Covering Oman's history. Or rather the people living in this areas under constant fighting with neighbours. From historic times up til today, after the independence from the Portuguese in 1650. Tons of weapons. Historical and from all over the world, gathered from the many forces invading and internal conflicts that have taken place in the region. Quite interesting, to me, the development of the defence system and fortresses. Outdoors, lots of ground vehicles and a few airplanes. Recommended!

A place NOT TO BE MISSED during a visit to muscat. Actually, I visited this place twice, because I didnt have enough of it from the first time. An old Omani house converted into a museum for local culture and omani history. The interior is an architectural masterpiece especially the woodwork, spaces and light. Some of the rooms has been converted into media tools to explain the geological formation of Omaan as well as history timeline.

This is one of the oldest restaurants in Muscat that serves traditional Omani dishes, from camel meat to dried sardines (qashe’). I ordered Sayyadeyah, this is king fish cooked in rice that tastes so good! It comes with tomato-pepper sauce & little dish of salad. At 2.600 OR, it is reasonably priced. Service was a little slow but not more than 10 minutes. There are separate family rooms & open areas with table seating or just like I did, the Omani way of floor seating! Try it out if you are in town!

This is one of the oldest (22 years old as told by staff) restaurant in Muscat serving authentic Omani cuisines. The traditional lamb Shuwa is one of the most selling items. The dining area is setup in traditional way, where you can sit on the carpet and enjoy the food. Staff was very courteous and kept on checking on us for anything extra we might need. The entrance is decorated with antique items. Rooms might make you feel claustrophobic because there are no windows. Washrooms could be better.

Came here for a quick lunch. It’s a really cute, local restaurant. The rooms are all separated so it’s a great place for families. The service is rather plain but that’s ok because the food was really amazing! If you’re not sure what to get, try the king fish biryani.

The Natural History Museum is rich with information about the animal kingdom in Oman. It consists of many halls and the best one is the whale hall where you can see an actual whale skeleton. Also you can see the fossil tree which is 260 million years old.

It is a very beautiful museum with plenty of natural things. Tickets should be bought. There's a whale hall. It includes bones of a giant whale. There's a sound system of recorded whales. Worth for money.

This museum contains the history and evaluation of Flora and Fauna through the different eras. Museum isn't so big, but you'll get lot of knowledge looking at the artifacts. Stuffed animals they've used are really good. There's another room contains remainings of whales. You can even listen to different sounds make by whales. I recommend you to bring your kids to this place, it'll boost the knowledge of your kid. Ticket price is 1 riyal if you are an adult. And parking is free.

This world class airport is Beautiful, clean, immense and very impressive, the ambiance is wonderful and the facilities are plentiful. Easy to navigate and very calm but I found the duty free shops to be very expensive judging by some of the items in a shop (e.g small can of starbucks coffee $10, enought to put me off looking at other things) but overall a well presented and very comfortable and lovely airport.

It’s always a wonderful experience whenever I travel from Muscat to another country. The hospitality here is excellent, and one thing I truly love is the unique air freshener scent . I’ve never experienced such a refreshing fragrance in any other airport before. It’s hard to describe in words, you have to feel it yourself!

It is indeed a very huge park with a huge play area, it is best for long walks and cardio. The rental bikes need to be bit more organized as they don’t accept card payment, only cash and keeps yelling at people. One of the largest public parks in muscat. There is plenty of parking with 3 main gates of the park. Pros: You can jog, exercise, have a picnic, and roam around with family. There is horse riding available for kids and electric cars for little kids as well in the central part of the park. There is a kids' play area with plenty of swings and a small area for roller skating as well. There is a coffee shop in the middle of the park as well and outside the park there are restaurants, coffee shops and a bus stop as well. Taxis are easily available outside. The four square mazes are absolutely gorgeous to look at. Cons: 1. Take mosquito repellent, or you will spend most of the time scratching after sunset. 2. Kids' play area is crowded on the weekends. 3. The tomb like structure at the center of the park was open a while ago, but unfortunately, it has been closed now by the management.

I like the overall vibe of the place, despite the hot weather, walking at the outside passage is lovely at evening and extraordinary at night, the interior decoration is extremely nice, lot of food varieties and the restaurants are magnificent, couple of hotels are a walking distance from the place, for me, this would be the only destination for the whole weekend, every day trying a new place within the mall, and no need to go anywhere else. Visited Qantab Beach recently and absolutely loved the experience. The beach itself is peaceful, clean, and surrounded by beautiful rocky cliffs that add to its charm. The highlight of the visit was definitely the boat ride. It took us along the stunning coastline, where we saw natural wonders like the arch rock formation. We even went far enough to spot Jumeirah Muscat Bay from the sea — the view was incredible! The boat captain was friendly and ensured a safe and smooth ride throughout. The entire trip felt both adventurous and serene at the same time. Truly a memorable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Muscat.

Qantab Beach is a stunning and peaceful spot with mesmerizing views, especially during sunrise. However, camping and open fires are not allowed, as there are clear signs prohibiting them. There’s also a small mountain on the left side of the beach, but climbing it is not safe or possible. Be cautious of the nearby cliff, especially if visiting with kids. While it’s unclear if accessing certain areas is completely legal, the beauty of the beach makes it worth a visit. Just follow the rules and stay safe!

It was a nice experience to visit this beach and took a boat trip(not expensive) for a scenery sightseeing with spectacular views. We met local guys whose helped us and took us with their boat in the morning( no boat service at that time) and we could see nice views along the way. Thank you

This lovely restaurant is in a famous old tourist area. It has a great view, beautiful décor, and very friendly staff. You can really enjoy the feeling of Omani hospitality here. It's a pretty good mall. It has all the basic things and some more to buy. I liked the interior designs and the lighting. Even though it looks spacious from the outside, it's not that big inside or at least it doesn't feel so. Other than that, pretty OK, mall, for buying anything you need. One noteworthy detail is that they have a space in the food court just for children and kids to dine, which I thought was really cute and thoughtful. It's a pretty well designed food court. Another thing I felt that needs improvement is the washrooms sign boards. The directions are pretty hard to find and rather cryptic, especially for first-timers. Overall pretty good mall.

The visit to the library was also impressive. Tip: Here you really need to cover up (compared to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque) so be prepared ;)

On the 9th-Oct 2025 around 12 noon the security guard was annoying and absolutely rude lack of sense self respect as he representative of A meen Mosque .I was kind and tried to ask him why I am not allowed to take pictures as I have done twice before. His angry face and attitude..was not acceptable

A stunning mosque with Sunni Imams. The mosque is clean and beautiful and large. Taraweeh here was a really beautiful experience. Although after everything two rakats somebody at the front was reciting something. They did it without a microphone and I'm not sure who it was or what they were doing or if this is an innovation or not but perhaps mentioning it someone will be familiar with the practice more than I.

A really beautiful mosque with an amazing library. I loved that there were elevators everywhere even in the women’s prayer room. A cleaning lady is always there too so it’s spotless and quiet.

PDO being the pioneer in Oil and Gas operations in Oman, the have built this exhibition centre with lot of knowledge and experience. Every aspect of the subject has been explained in detail with help of appropriate models, vedios , photos and illustration. Must go place for everyone irrespective of the age, field or interest.

This museum was a nice surprise, you need a lot of time to go through all but it is very interesting. The entrance is free.

This place is a place which each country should have. We have visited it with our small children. We did made reservation in advance. Small ones and big can learn so much at this place. Is very well made. Interactive part makes it so much interesting and enjoyable ,then just reading facts. The entry is free.

You can learn about the process of oil and gas extraction from very beginning. There is a lot of experiments you can try also. I can imagine it could be fun for kids. Anyway its dead silence in museum which makes really strange atmosphere and overall look of exhibits is quite old school. But it was good experience.

Beautiful park 15 min walk from mutual souk. You can hear the sound of birds and see Beautiful flowers . There is a kids play area also with some swings and slides. Overall a beautiful place for picnics and passing time.

Nice fun place for kids & adults. The ice skating & bowling are must tries for all. The prices r a bit high but the buy one get one free deals on Tuesdays are worth it.

We had a birthday party at funzone and everything was better than expected the staff were so lovely and they had organised everything and more. The kids really enjoyed it the activities were fun and the space and decorations were perfect with the theme.

Very popular place to hangout. The things to do here includes Bowling, Laser tag, Ice Skating. There's an arcade on the first floor as well. There's a 7D cinema, a salon, a pet shop and a few restaurants and coffee shops too. The staff is pretty helpful. One can easily spend 10-20 OMR in one day at this place. PS : There was a promotional offer of 25% off on Ice Skating for premium Bank Muscat cards when I visited.

The place needs renovation ! Add more exciting games need to be added ! Also while kids are skating Quran is being played , don’t believe it’s the right background for it.

We were here for dinner. The place is nice, but the ventilation could be much better. The air inside is stale. The food is good; the steaks are very good, and the seafood is just okay because they overbake it. You can drink beer, also from a 2.5-liter "giraffe."

Last week I went to eat this place The food was excellent! I had the chicken lollipop and it was very tasty😋 Their staff behaviour is also excellent especially waiter Ashish he was very attentive to our needs and mainly one thing cashier idhayavarman❤️ suggested this food for me , he is very Kind and Well behaved 👏🏻 i had a wonderful experience at the hotel especially Rock Bottom

Very cool dive bar in Muscat. Was a little quiet when we arrived but livened up. Food is excellent, chateaubriand was fantastic and perfectly cooked. Great choice if you want a low key fun night. Gaurav served us and was great!

I had the pleasure of visiting Rock Bottom last Thursday, and I must say, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The ambiance was cozy yet lively, with just the right mix of music .A special shoutout goes to Idhayavarman,who truly elevated our visit. He was attentive without being intrusive, and offered excellent recommendations that suited our tastes perfectly. Bad costumer service. I called and messaged the entire day and recieved no reply, then I got a last minute appointment. After I arrived, I got told another women "urgently" had to go before me and that it would take 15mins, it ended up being almost an hour that I waited. When I eventually got my henna, the woman messed up my design and changed things from the reference photo, of a fairly straightforward design. The design looked different on each hand and it looks like sloppy and messy work. NOT worth the effort it took to get this appointment- extremely unprofessional.

Ruined and smudged my henna by putting a glove on my still wet henna!!! How will they even attempt to fix this !!
