The place is clean, the staff are attentive and everything is very quick - we were under 20 minutes from ordering to all dishes being brought out. One small gripe I have is the lager I recieved was on the tepid side. It was just about drinkable but I wouldn't order it again. The cocktails, like the food, were as you would expect in a larger restaurant or a chain. Prove wise slightly higer than similar places but not expensive given the location.

I think a Sunday roast elsewhere is absolutely ruined for me because the one I tried here almost had me in tears it was so good. I’ve been to a lot of restaurants around the world and I’ve hardly ever found one that has such a well thought out menu. Every single aspect of every dish is intentional, something you can tell with every bite. Not only was the Sunday roast fantastic but I also shared half with my boyfriend, so we could try both the roast and their steak and oh my word, it was a revelation. The steak was seasoned to perfection. I normally don’t eat steak as cooked through as this one was but it was just so tender and so flavorful, that it was a knockout. Everything else we ordered from the drinks to the appetizers to dessert was just so delicious, I could hardly accept that it was over at the end of the night. Truly, this was a mind blowing experience, only enhanced by the absolute friendliness and attention to detail of the staff. They worked hard to accommodate us, even when we hadn’t made a reservation. Then the steak & sides arrived, a fantastic portion for a deal and everything cooked to perfection. Everything we had was so flavorful and the high quality. It was my birthday and the restaurant offered me a birthday sweet & prosecco along with desert that we ordered which you could tell was made fresh. The service was excellent, Rachel and the team took the best care of us & really felt spoiled. The atmosphere was also perfect, felt very intimate & calm. If we could give more stars we would. You enter through a lively bar where there is a quieter restaurant area at the back. The staff were all friendly and attentive, our table was set on arrival and we were quickly asked about drinks, wine bottles were corked at the table. Very pleasant surroundings with music playing from the bar but quiet enough in the restaurant area that you can enjoy your meal and conversations. The food - to die for! The best meal I have had in a long time. The ingredients were all fresh, high quality and tasted incredible. The artichoke heart starter was beautiful with some of the best tomatoes I have ever eaten. Our main courses were equally delicious, the steak pie was amazing. Despite being quite full, we felt we HAD to have dessert because of how delicious everything else was! Massively recommend and we’re seriously considering travelling back to Glasgow just to try more of the menu. Wasn’t available but I got it on deliveroo and it was really bland. Today went for tacos and got the prawn, chicken and steak. Didn’t really have seasoning, and my friends thought the same. They have one 8 person table inside where they do a tasting menu on certain days but any other day you just order from the counter and the your food out and eat at one of the wooden tables outside so it’s best when the weather is good. A queue formed while we were there but the wait is definitely worth it! We had 3 tacos for £12 and some chips and guacamole. The food was absolutely delicious! Some of the best tacos I’ve eaten. Extremely tasty and hot sauce compliments the tacos very nicely. But then we had the king prawn tacos and the nachos. The king prawns missed some acidity, and had a bit too much batter. The cheese on the nachos was the liquid kind, which is unfortunate as it would've been a good opportunity to mix it with some awesome local cheeses. I would definitely go again, but since we had 2/4 items as a miss it's hard to give it 5* and signal a guaranteed good eat.

Took the kids along with friends and their kids on a Saturday evening. Had the salt and chili prawns to start which were really tasty followed by steak frites which is their offer on a Saturday night - £12 for a perfectly cooked steak with peppercorn sauce and a healthy portion of fries on the side. Went in the door of our alternate choice of venue and a lady behind the bar pointed us in the direction of the tables in an area called The Kitchen for a meal. Nice lady gave us menu's and a young lady took our drinks order while we decided on what to eat. We all had a diet coke followed by chicken and rice soup which my friend loved, nachos with salsa, jalapeños and sour cream which was burnt at the edges and the salsa didn't seem homemade and on the whole was quite dry. The prawn tempura on toast also looked dry and the toast was also burnt, my male friend said it was OK. The mains of 1x chicken fajitas was nicely presented but there wasn't much chicken and there was a lot of onion/sweet pepper sauce but the x4 mini wraps with accompanying cheese, salsa, sour cream and jalapeños made it seem a lot. The Hunter chicken burger was again burnt at the edges but saved by the bacon/cheese, fries and Asian slaw which Ray said was just fine. I had the bbq beef Brisket burger which I hadn't realised was a double patty burger with a little bbq shredded Brisket on top, once again the edges of the burgers were dry and burnt and the centre was still slightly pink. The Brisket was dry despite the bbq sauce (bottled, I suspect). The Asian slaw didn't taste right, a bit vinegary and not unlike ordinary cheap coleslaw. The seasoned chips were fine as were the 2 onion rings but I honestly couldn't finish any of the items. The service was good and friendly but the place was cold (?heating on). The burgers were one a buy one get one free deal as it is on Mon-Thurs but everything came to over £47 which is fair. Haven't visited for years and liked the different decor but a little tired in places and was cold inside. Was starting to get a bit busier as we were leaving but the food was only average so won't be eating here again.
