Had a full on TBC breakfast washed down with a pot of tea. It was pretty busy downstairs so we were relieved to be escorted upstairs to a quieter setting. The waiter was super attentive, made sure we had coffee and water, and promptly took our order. The Chip (as it's known) is a sister business to Stravaigin (another favourite of ours) and it's recently reopened after a bit of a refurbishment. I have never been to a traditional afternoon tea before and this was fun and what I thought it would be like. It was A LOT of food. We had sandwiches, scones, and desserts as well as tea and/or coffee. We had good service and the location was handy. I definitely recommend. We did reserve ahead of time, but the restaurant appeared to be able to accommodate without a reservation.

On this occassion it was with our family to celebrate my wife and I ruby anniversary. Everything was perfect from as soon as we went through the door. We had a corner table which was ideal for our party. The food was delicious. The crab ravioli was probably the best I have tasted. The service was great too with our server going through the menu dish by dish explaining what each dish was.
