Meat was tender and cooked perfectly. The amount was perfect for two people. Would definitely recommend trying this with a friend. We also had one vegetarian and one vegan person in our party, so they shared the vegetable platter and the vegan cheese fondue. They swapped the soda bread for sourdough. My vegetarian friend was pleasantly surprised at how nice the vegan cheese fondue was. The place is a bit rustic but comfortable. The table was a bit wobbly and the water glasses were dirty. We asked for clean one but unf they were just as bad. Service to start with was okay as it was busy when they first opened but a couple of hours later it was difficult to get our waiters attention so we had to grab another staff member and ask to get our plates taken away. We did order more drinks, which we had to ask for again, and when they came, one was the wrong size. But overall, we enjoyed ourselves and were happy we made the trip from Edinburgh for it.

I booked a table here for drinks before our gig at the armadillo so due to the queue size, decided to order 2 drinks for us each. I waited 25 mins at the bar, then 10 mins for 3 of the drinks to be made. I was then asked by a young female behind the bar (the only female i could see working at that time) if I could return in 5 mins for my espresso martini as I had been waiting a long time. I said no worries, she wanted to charge me for the 3 drinks, I asked if she should just charge for all 4 drinks, she no it's ok ill just charge for the 3 just now. OK fine. I returned after 5 mins, bearing in my mind my friend has now sat at our table for 30+ mins alone, I wait in the queue again but I grabbed the opportunity when this female bar tender was about to serve someone new, to ask excuse me, is my Espresso martini ready. Safe to say, the start of our night was ruined and it was for my friends 40th and yet I hardly spent time with her before we had to drink up and leave for the armadillo. Absolutely disgusting not being upfront with your customers about any issues and being made to feel a fool. The cocktail was made so clearly there were no issues with ingredients. Really poor attitude and service therefore won't be returning or recommending.

We stopped at Inn Deep as we and many others had done on previous years. The pub was quiet with lots of available tables. We sat outside at one of the tables and decided to have one of the sandwiches that we had pre made. I advised her we were on a charity walk and asked where her sense of charity was. I think any business that was on the route of one of Glasgows biggest and most recognisable charity events would at least let those taking part sit for a well deserved break after a long walk and whatever other battles they were fighting, but no we were "disrespecting the kitchen". I really hope she never needs a seat to stop and refuel after fighting the biggest battle of her life.

The Chip (as it's known) is a sister business to Stravaigin (another favourite of ours) and it's recently reopened after a bit of a refurbishment. The schnitzel burger thing came with fries which were cooked well and the chicken that was cooked well. However the way it was seasoned was typically British. It was served with 1 lettuce leaf, a tomato slice and a gherkin slice. Again no cranberry sauce or mustard or horseradish etc. The pretzel bun is likely straight from lidl (which is fine) but it was cold and should have been warm or toasted. Also to top it off, when I asked for mustard, I was served english mustard in a sachet. This place is the furthest thing you could get from german food, save for a couple brattwurst. The food is average, probably a 3, but I've given a 2 as the placed alludes to the fact it serves german food. I was last here in 2019 and ordered a large german platter which was good, and more in keeping with german cuisine. I think the new chef should spend some time in Germany. Genuinely disappointed. See attached photo of my food from 2019 which was good and no longer served. Oh and I was charged 55quid for the pleasure 😂😂 poor. Please remove all indications of serving german food and be honest - it's British food with a couple items sourced from lidl.

They all arrived separately at intervals. The toasted bread for the soup came, one side toasted, bit burnt and the other side not. Where on earth do you get a toaster that toasts on only one side(see pics).Meantime as suspected, all our food was going cold and nearing the end of our meal, it was indeed stone cold.For all of these dubious pleasures i paid £45. I spoke again to a male staff member stressing my dissatisfaction with the whole shambolic experience. We received the usual obligatory meaningless apologies and were told the old post covid chesnut, they were short of kitchen staff. We left in disgust having been offered no recompense of any kind. I regret not asking to see a manager. Such a shame cos it's such a nice place and food would have been fine with the exception of the Yorkshire puddings which were undercooked and doughy inside, if only it had been served correctly and more importantly HOT😡. I don't agree with this & don't remember this being the case when I've visited in the past. We went for a beer tour with meal included. A bit disorganised to start & we had to wait. There was 4 of us on the tour & we quite enjoyed it. They could do with more anecdotes as it's quite dry. Afterwards we were shown to a table at the restaurant this is where they've lost marks. The Jager loaded fries is just mushroom sauce of which there was plenty & mushrooms, it needs cheese or something. The St Mungo burger was delicious. I enjoyed my currywurst but as I said it was quite dry. We've had currywurst in several places & it usually has plenty of sauce. The beers were great, we tried 8 different ones. I'd recommend the blood orange radler & the red Munich. My partner enjoyed himself as it was a birthday treat for him but the service really let them down.

We went for a pre-concert meal to see Mogwai on a beautiful sunny Sunday around 5:30. The garden in front was full of people enjoying beer and catching rays. Inside was different. A bit chaotic in waves. There weren't any tables available in the dining area, so we were directed to eat in the bar area. This meant no one was really responsible to check on us. We managed to park the car right outside but as far as I’m aware there was only a few spaces, not sure if there was any further round and also not sure if you’re allowed to park in the hospital as it’s only a short walk away from there. Will definitely book the dome again for special events and would eat at the restaurant too in future. **Had originally booked for one night and unfortunately my daughter was unwell so we couldn’t make it. I emailed (outwith the timescale for cancelling the booking) and they kindly agreed to change the date so I didn’t lose my payment for the dome**

The immaculate room turnaround, the flawless service, the piping hot food (that every single guest is still raving about!), the efficient bar with no queues, and cocktails that have gone down in legend, it was all perfect. Our guests couldn’t stop praising it all, and neither can we. Saint Luke’s gave us not just a wedding day, but the best day of our lives. Booked a table last minute, staff were brilliant, yes we had to have table back for later service as close to music venue but weren’t rushed. Amazing cocktails, great prices, BBQ specials were delicious, we ordered three and some sides and was more than enough for 2. Brisket and ribs were the standout items and Cajun fries though the Texan link and all the other foods were delicious too. We then moved to a soft seat to free up our table for a drink, this was reserved too but staff said happy for us to sit there u til then. Then they ended up rejigging seating plan so we could stay which was above and beyond! Brilliant place, great atmosphere, changed to candles and fairy lights as got dark. Cocktails were lovely too. The only thing that puts me off were the seriously uncomfortable seating at the high tables, was like torture sitting on them and the service was extremely extremely slow. This wasn’t due to business as we arrived when the place was empty and it took 10/15mintes for the barmen to make my cocktail, they had to read it out of a book so they may have been new. Then everything ran behind, the class the food the service. But I would go again, perhaps during the day.

Beef was a bit tough, turkey was yummy, stuffing was odd but tasty. The veggie Wellington was the star of the roast, flavorful and we'll put together. Drinks were reasonably priced. One of my favourite pubs in Glasgow! They do a fantastic pub quiz as well every Monday evening! The food here comes in big portions and the steak pie just tastes so good! The haggis fritters here are great, there’s a few sharing platter options to choose from as well. There’s an extensive drink menu ( great baby Guinness here btw) and couple of nice desserts to choose from. I love the chocolate fudge cake and the crumble. Price is great for the portion! This pub is amazing for socials and footballs, I come here with my friends all the time. Great vibe, great decor, they even have a pool table! Friendly service and lots of seating including lots of outside seatings as well, really recommend this place for a night out!

The waitress was both very pleasant and efficient, and a carafe of chilled water was provided when I arrived. As it was both hot and sunny, I asked if the awnings might be extended. Not a michelin star restaurant. Im actually amazed that a malaysian food can be part of the michelin guide in the uk and its not even in london. The food were good and some of them are indonesian. So its more of a south east asian food or maybe javanese as all these people came from java. If you are in glasgow, this is the place you should come to eat since they are super amazing and worth them. Beware this place needs to be reserved since there are only 4 tables and open at specific time. Also, it might be a little bit expensive as per glasgow city. We ordered 3 lunch mains and 1 snack to share. Chicken curry, nasi goreng & fried mee hoon(rice noodles), roti chanai(south Indian bread/chapati). This review is done on the basis of a) taste authenticity b) presentation c) service quality and c) 'eat-ability' The curry was tasteless and presented in a mess; the nasi goreng was soggy and had a strange taste( something undercooked like), same with the Mee hoon, soggy & broken up noodles( I detected the used of garlic out of a jar and not cooked through), roti chanai was burnt in parts and parts not fully toasted hence doughy, obviously defrosted from freezer. The only saving grace was the sambal that came as a dip for the roti. That was authentic tasting. Everything looked and tasted like heating badly from frozen. Absolute disaster! We couldn't eat the dishes even we went in very hungry at around 2pm for lunch. They charged a total of £24 (plus a cup of lemongrass tea, didn't even see the tea bag in the cup) for that and the service person was reluctant to give me my 1 pound change! This place scored for me low in all a, b, c & d categories! It's can't pass as a standard eatery never mind the pretend 'Malaysian' style. My personal view -- Avoid. Never to go back.

Then there’s the Nonya style chicken curry: Literally soup, not even curry. No Nonya flavours at all, too oily but had enough flavour for me to somewhat enjoy it with rice. (The plain jasmine rice was the best thing we ordered) Then there’s the Mango sticky rice: As you can see from the photo, it had no mangoes, wasn’t even sticky, literally just jasmine rice packed tightly and drenched in the juices from a tin of canned mango. Then, the worst dish I’ve ever eaten in my life, the Mee Goreng: Not even the correct noodles, stupidly salty, no flavour at all, shrimps were microscopic, vegetables were non existent. Completely inedible, I would expect any random Chinese takeout to produce better food than this. As a Malaysian, I read about this place and thought “Finally! Authentic Malaysian food on Michelin Guide! This has got to be delicious!” I saw photos and I instantly felt homesick and craved food from my home country.
