The Neighborhood Bird Bun was legitimately one of the best things I've tasted in recent memory. It was also very unique as I have not seen this kind of combination of ingredients/flavors before. Initially I thought the price would probably not be worth it for just 1 bun but the portion was quite big and I'd be happy to pay that price if I wanted to eat this again.
The big negative, at least for me was the extremely loud music with the bass turned up to 1000%. Maybe the employees like it (cannot be good for their ears) as well as their usual demographic but really was not for me. Practically speaking, the music made it difficult to hear the names when they called out the ready orders, obviously as well as engaging in conversation. Many times we couldn't tell if they said my name or not when an order was ready. If I get this again I will definitely do to go and put in an order ahead of time.
Other than that, usually at these casual kind of places I don't have anything to say about the service but here the employees were noticeably very friendly. Eating the bun was very messy so be prepared for that.

Health: While fried food doesn’t lend itself to the most healthy diet, the blend of white rice, kimchi, and legitimate Asian/American fusion veggies tossed in soy sauce and not grilled in oil balances it out.
Price: For this taste and portion size? Excellent. Though not particularly “low”. Definitely satisfying though.
Experience: The most “alive” and “trendy” food scene in Baltimore. Small restaurant, big heart. I got my second meal there for free due to being a government medical researcher during furlough. But regardless, clean, convenient, and speedy. Great on all accounts.
Taste: A genuinely unique Asian/American fusion. Where other locations will rehash food drowned in oil, this place takes the best American and East Asian food elements and balances them excellently. Asian sauces over fried chicken. White rice with kimchi. Large protein and veggie portions with rice accompaniment (that’s the actual way real Asian food is served by the way). Honestly unique and Amazing.
Yeah I’m coming back here again. And I already have. So is everyone else in town. A core port of Baltimore’s food scene. A cornerstone of Asian/American fusion in general. Food and culture wise.

Ekiben is one of the best spots in Baltimore! The food is amazing.. fresh, flavorful, and always delicious. The service is super fast and friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. Yup. It is true. It was packed and for good reason. I had the neighborhood bird (not spicy) on a bun and it was very perfect 😊 the bun did get a bit soggy because it took me 30mins to get home, so the bottom part was a bit softer and squeezy, but it was delicious. The chicken is super juicy and tender, the outside is light and crispy, the sauce was like a honey bbq creamy thing with a bit of tang. The herbs complement it beautifully (i dont like cilantro but i always order things the way they were design and i tweak them, so i left some cilantro and it was great. Totally recommend. The rice bowl is probably great with that sauce 🤤 it was almost sweet, i will try the spicy next time

This place is awesome! The food is fresh and hot and they bring it to you when it's ready. They are a Coke (in a can and yesterdaythe can was cold which is my favorite!!) place and also have a bar. Every dish we have had has been delicious! Love the small plate/dim sum/tapas selections as well as the other specialties. The chef is Peter Chang who is a James Beard awarded chef and it is easy to see why. I just cannot say enough good things about his food. Can't wait to go back again!

We came to NiHao Chinese for dim sum for two and did not have a reservation, so we were seated outdoors. Thankfully the weather was nice, and we were seated and attended to quickly. The waiter was helpful in walking us through the all you can eat option and even suggested a few dishes, which made ordering easy.
Taste:
At $32 per person, the all you can eat dim sum was absolutely worth it. Every dish came out hot, well flavored, and delicious. The pork belly, duck spring rolls, popcorn chicken, and spare ribs were standout favorites. You could really taste the freshness and quality in each bite.
Ambiance:
Even though we sat outside, the atmosphere was still enjoyable and comfortable. The restaurant seems great for both small and large groups, especially if you want to try a variety of dishes at once.

NiHao delivered a delicious and seamless dim sum experience. The service was quick, the flavors were authentic and bold, and the all you can eat option is a great deal. I will definitely be back!

My husband and I had a little brunch date at NiHao in Baltimore after hearing numerous recommendations, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We came for the all-you-can-eat dim sum and ended up ordering nine dishes—every single one was fantastic!
My personal favorite was the vegan cucumber salad, while my husband’s favorite was the pork belly. The spicy dishes had a nice, but tolerable, kick and packed with flavor. We both thought the Mongolian beef was just the tiniest bit too salty, but overall, we had no complaints.
The food, service, and atmosphere were all wonderful, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again! Highly recommend if you're looking for a delicious and fun brunch spot.

I absolutely love and yearn for two types of food: Pakistani Food and Szechuan style food… I’ve been a fan of Peter Chang’s restaurants for many years, since first trying his location in Short Pump over 10 years ago. I’ve tried the other NiHao in Crystal City and really liked it…. Also tried his Peter Chang location here in Baltimore and enjoyed the food as well, so I really have been wanting to try this particular NiHao for a while and finally did today.
Going in on a Saturday, I got there about 10 mins before they opened and waited… I was the only one outside when I first got there, but about 15 mins after they opened, they had a steady stream of customers walking in.
I sat at the bar and was taken care of quite nicely by Jennifer. She provided great info on how some dishes were prepared, as well as offering good, friendly service. All the food I ordered came out quickly and was very fresh and tasty. I loved everything, from the cucumbers to the bamboo fish – it was all excellent!
Highly recommend stopping in, especially for brunch on the weekends. But make a reservation, as they are quite popular!

Tried their vegetarian spring rolls — crispy and filled with a flavorful veggie mix. Best enjoyed piping hot!
The real highlight was the egg fried rice and mapo tofu combo — absolutely next level.
The egg fried rice had a smoky wok hei, with small bits of egg and scallions that added so much flavor.
The mapo tofu was outstanding — spicy from the chilli oil and delivering that signature numbing kick from Sichuan peppercorns.
Definitely a spot I’ll revisit just for the mains — they’re that good.

We had an incredible first experience at Cinghiale and are already planning our return. We came to the harbor to visit. We ended up wanting to eat dinner, so we found this restaurant on Google. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted and sat down quickly. Our server Matt was phenomenal! Jake, the manager, was very professional and helpful as well! The food was really good! The short room was so good that I had two orders! The ice cream with espresso was incredible! We would definitely come back here again. As you walk in they have a station where they prepare cheese and Salamis. I was really excited to try that out until I saw the guy prepping eating a couple of bites which turned me off instantly. That was the only negative thing. I did bring it up to the manager and told him to talk with the worker to prevent that from happening again.

Boy, was Cinghiale a surprise—in the best way. We were visiting from Washington, D.C. over Labor Day weekend for a quick getaway to recharge and celebrate a birthday. We tried several different restaurants during our stay, but this one was hands down our favorite.
We debated where to go given its proximity to Little Italy and all the options there, but choosing Cinghiale turned out to be the best decision. They offer different menus depending on the experience you’re after—whether a more casual à la carte option or a prix fixe—and both looked amazing.
The atmosphere is fantastic. It’s tucked away from the busiest streets, so dining outside is peaceful, close to the water, and great for people-watching. Inside, the white-tablecloth wine room is elegant, and even the regular dining room and bar looked inviting. We opted for outdoor seating and had a quiet, comfortable night.
Service was outstanding—truly the best we had anywhere in Baltimore. Our server was warm, attentive, and full of energy. She gave thoughtful recommendations that really shaped our meal and even surprised us with a birthday glass of wine paired with our entrée, plus a candle with dessert. Those personal touches made the night feel special.
And the food? Spectacular across the board. The stone fruit salad and tomato-mozzarella salad were both refreshing and beautifully presented. The duck was incredibly tender and perfectly cooked. The stuffed pasta dishes were rich, flavorful, and a highlight of the evening. From appetizers through dessert, everything was balanced, thoughtful, and made with pride.
We walked away with zero complaints—just full appreciation for an incredible experience. Cinghiale set the bar high, and we’ll absolutely return on our next visit to Baltimore.

I was really excited to try this place out because of all the ratings. We ordered seaweed salad, tempura, and two bowls of ramen. I was pretty disappointed to see that the shrimp was presented the way it was, curled up like frozen shrimp instead of elongated. Flavor was good though. Haven’t been here in a couple years but it was just as cozy as always. The server we had was great, but the appetizer let us down a little. The burrata caprese came out and we’d only received a wedge of burrata instead of a burrata ball (if that’s normal they should just mention it on the menu) and the pesto was very dark and bitter, possible the basil used had seen better days. The pizza did not disappoint though and neither did the cocktails, would still go back.

The food is cooked fresh after you order. We enjoyed the avocado chaat and open face samosa and curry leaf chili chicken appetizers, okra bindi masala, navaratnam kurma, eggplant poriyal with coconut, goat curry, chicken kebabs with gravy, garlic and plain naan, rice, and gulab jamun.

We started with an unusual appetizer consisting of a tower of avocado, potato, and apple. To make it vegan, the chef left out the yogurt. It was delightful, kind of like an enhanced potato salad. My friend had Lamb Chettinadu, which she raved about, accompanied by the largest garlic naan I have ever seen. I ordered a Vegan Vindaloo, and at my request, the chef added chickpeas to it. This restaurant has really great food. They have a large menu and many choices and the spice heat can be varied and modified to your liking. My friend started off with the glass of wine and we got both some dumplings and garlic naan to start with. She got the hot chicken curry dish. I wanted to try something new so I got the tandoori sampler platter and it was really good.
The garlic naan was some of the best naan that I have ever had and my tandoori platter was also delicious. I opted to have the rice pudding to finish off my meal and it was so good with the added cardamon on top.
I was surprised this restaurant was so empty on a Friday evening at dinner time. I will most definitely be back and highly recommend a visit to this wonderful Indian restaurant. I had made a reservation, but it doesn't seem like I actually needed one.

We had a good experience dining at Namaste Baltimore. The menu offers a great variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and everything we tried was flavorful.
For starters, we had lahsuni Gobhi Chilli, which was crispy and well-seasoned. Moving on to the main course, the Goat Saag with Garlic Naan was rich and delicious, with perfectly cooked meat and bold spices. Tried this on a Monday when Mt. Everest was closed and should have skipped Indian take out for that night. I always want local restaurants to succeed but this was the worst Indian food I have ever had. The butter chicken was dry strips of meat and was not a very creamy sauce, the saag paneer was ok but didn’t have much flavor, and the vegetable jhalfrezi was inedible and it seems like it was just a frozen bag of mixed vegetables and we asked for it be medium and it was almost sweet, no spice at all. Atmosphere looked nice- my first time trying Indian food and ordering it- I don’t feel like I got much help with ordering it over the phone, but I pretty much knew what I wanted - I ordered the veg samosas- naan bread and butter chicken! The butter chicken is a whopping 20 bucks but I don’t think it’s worth it- chicken taste like it was already pre cooked and added to the sauce- wasn’t a big fan! Samosas and naan was great! I prob wouldn’t go back. I would like to try some other reputable places! I know the rating is high for this place but they need to go back to make this butter chicken worth the price that we pay for it!

I’d have given 5 stars if they were more accommodating with food allergies. My brother is allergic to cashews, and almost everything had them except aloo fry, which lacked salt. We were the only ones there at opening time, so a small customization (at least for simple items like papdi chaat) would’ve been nice.
That being said, the food we did try was delicious with a great spice level (ask for it hot!), and the custom thali is affordable and filling. Worth visiting if you don’t have dietary restrictions.

Good food but really bad customer service. Our food was ready but they didn't even give us the plate. It was like they were ignoring. the girl brought the cheque when we were still eating. Came to Akbar as a tourist from out of state on recommendation from a friend. Let’s just say I found a great reason to return to the Baltimore area. Authentic Indian food and experience, I will be stopping by anytime I am back in the area and you should too!
Jazz, the owner, was an incredible host and gave us great recommendations for each course of the dinner which played a huge role in getting the authentic northern Indian experience.
The restaurant was beautifully decorated and had a nice ambiance for a pleasant dining experience.
The food for every course was delicious. The appetizer sampler and lentil soup to start with a chai were perfect for a cloudy evening. We shared three delicious curry dishes paneer kofta, lamb xacutti, and lamb pasanda. The lamb was tender and cooked to perfection. All the sauces were full and flavorful. Your tastebuds will thank you.
Dessert we had the mango lassi and ice cream. I didn’t think I could fit anymore food at this point but they were both so creamy and flavorful. Do yourself a favor and don’t skip this part!

one-of-a-kind special place in Baltimore. Charming! We were so excited to have discovered Akbar while passing by this morning to go to the little quick-mart a few doors down.
We ate a small breakfast, drove out to the Patapsco Valley State Park for the day, got lost in the forest and crossed a part in the river that soaked our socks and shoes, only to climb up the side of the park hill to get back onto the trail, made it to the Jeep, followed through with going to Manor Hill Tavern in Ellicott City to have a beer BUT we had stayed extremely disciplined to not eat a single thing there even though we were so hungry because we knew what we were saving ourselves for and that was Akbar!
You see, we are from West Palm Beach, FL and we have our own absolute authentic and special place we look forward to going to every two months or so and that’s Raja Indian Cuisine in Wellington, FL. There is something so amazing and flavorful about the food and the atmosphere that it has left a lasting impression on us. We have now found the same love and appreciation for Akbar that we have for our hometown Raja.
So here’s a shout out to Akbar and their staff and all the hard work that is paying off for them. Well done you guys. Outstanding team! Outstanding aesthetics! Outstanding atmosphere! Outstanding ambience!

If this is your first time having Indian food, always start off with Chicken Madras around a level 3, like the perfect spiciness -not too basic; not too spicy. Akbar is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. I live right around the corner and have gotten both takeout and dined in. Every time I go, the staff is very friendly and the food is always excellent. The naan in particular is better than most Indian restaurants in Baltimore. Fluffy, not too chewy, great flavor. Visited Thai Street for the first time. It's inside the Broadway market. They have a wide range of options, from different curries to noodles to bubble teas. Their Pad Thai noodles with tofu was good. You can choose the spice level from mild to extreme on the scale of 0 to 5 and devil spicy above that. They had a pretty quick service. We order through UberEats so don't have anything to say about the atmosphere.
The menu was pretty comprehensive as Thai food goes. I usually order pad thai and yellow curry but we decided to try some different things. First, I tried the Tom Kha Gai soup and it tasted so bad we couldn't even finish it, way too much fish sauce and lacking the coconut milk taste. Then we tried the Khao Soi based on the reviews and description. The sauce was ok but the noodles weren't like egg noodles as I would expect, more like ramen. And there wasn't much meat in the dish. We ordered spicy level 2 and it was too spicy (and I like hot food). Last we tried Drunken Noodles based on the good reviews. I don't have anything to compare them to since this was my first time getting this dish but the noodles were so slimy I could hardly eat them. And the rest of the dish was lacking. I will definitely not be trying these again.
The prices were above average but it is in a nicer location of town.
Based on my experience I will be trying some other Thai restaurants before I return to Thai Street.

I never write reviews, but i just wanted to leave one so they can improve. i ordered the noodles with spicy chicken. The chicken was a bit over salted but great flavor and texture. However the biggest issue was that the rice cakes were as hard as rocks, dry, and flavorless. The coffee is DELICIOUS. Every time I order my red eye, I’m surprised by the astounding flavor. Every sip feels like the first time. My jaw falls onto the floor and coffee spills everywhere. Luckily, I’m already outside by then.

Stopped by on a cold rainy night - I was starving and wanted to visit a place that had a decent selection of beers and Rad’s did not disappoint!
Ordered a couple of beers - all local to the area..both were outstanding (a märzen & NEIPA) - clean, crisp and fresh. Pizza selection was the Pepe Martinez - loads of curled pepperonis cups, melted mozz, fresh strips of basil and a sprinkling of asiago. Sauce amount was perfect and blended/balanced well with everything.. ingredients were super fresh and the crust was firm and crisp where needed but gave way to that satisfying chew you want in the crust. All around an excellent pizza! I had to wait a bit longer than expected but it was soooo worth the wait.

Really good place with a lot of vegan and vegetarian options. The atmosphere is very nice. My first time there, I didnt know where to go/to order and took a few minutes for someone to ask and help me. The server was very nice, he recommended things to me and helped me decide what to get.
The parking Is rough and annoying. You have to park on the street or parallel park which I hate doing in big cities, there's no free parking/ parking lots nearby that I'm aware of, so you have to walk somewhat depending how close amd or if you can find a spot near the restaurant.
During my first trip out here, I did witness a lot of the employees eating snacks, touching their face, etc without washing them or wearing gloves so just be mindful of that.
The food I got for the first time was the bread pudding, vegan burnt ends/ pulled pork sandwich and the vegan chicken tenders. I really liked the tenders and bread pudding. the burnt ends was kinda a dissapointment, not great but not terrible, my expectations were higher. I have never came across a vegan bread pudding before, so to have one was a surprise and was really good, also not overly sweet like a lot of vegan desserts. The chicken tenders were surprisingly good especially the Buffalo style and with the vegan ranch/blue cheese, they were a little soft, but overall really good.
My second time coming, there was a different server and he was very nice and got my food out to me quick and asked if I wanted water while I waited for my food. I got a vegan pizza, which I was hyped for since I heard good things, but it was mediocre at best in my opinion. I've definitely had better vegan pizza. I also got the vegan donut holes and the hushpuppies. Man, they were phenomenal. I have been looking for a vegan hushpuppy recipe/place that offers them and with the vegan Chipotle aoli it comes with, so good.

First time visiting and I absolutely loved this cozy eclectic brunch spot. It's a small space, but worth any type of wait. The flavors are bold and the portions are generous, so don't be discouraged by the price. The drinks also pack a punch!
We enjoyed the brunch burger, chipotle chicken sandwich, fried chicken & waffles, and the MF Cinnamon bun - all made fresh in house! We also had a delicious Syrian dessert (I cannot remember the name, but it was similar to a baklava filled with some cool cheese filling, pistachio, and rose).
I was stunned by the food. The fried chicken & waffles was the best I have ever eaten. The fatty peppery pork sausage gravy paired with the sweet smokiness of the hickory smoked syrup was magnificent.
The staff was friendly and attentive. You can tell how much they enjoy working with one another and for the restaurant. It definitely is a friendly neighborhood spot. I cannot say enough great things about this place! I do recommend a reservation!

Best scratch Kitchen . We are so lucky to have this restaurant in our neighborhood. We got our reservations and got seated right away. Colorful decorated . The rib eye were delicious enough to share for 4 people. I love Grits and love Ordering them every time we go down South but Maggie’s Farm are spectacular. This hidden gem in the Arcadia Beverly Hills Historic District is a must see. Nondescript on Harford Rd itself, with its entrance on Montebello Terrace, it doesn't look like anything more than a small neighborhood dinner.
Passing through the Patio, up the 3-step approach, one enters into a dark but cozy mid-space. Passing an impressive wine rack on the way to the dining area and bar is your 2nd indication this is a special place. The first is the prominently displayed Baltimore Sun's 2022 award for best cocktail.
The server team effortlessly integrated their duties to make sure we were never ignored. Having had the lucky fortune to arrive a bit before the brunch crowd, the award winning mixologist, Dana Saeed provided us with tastes and samples to whet our imbibing palate before delivering a superlative Cosmopolitan and Classic Negroni. She also was able to serve up a cold shot of Chartreuse, before creating an imperfect but so incredibly tasting riff on a The Last Word cocktail. I'd never go back to the original recipe, except much like the Chartreuse liquor itself, Dana's contains secret house made additions that far overcame the lack of 1 of the original ingredients.
For appetizers, we had the dumplings where the sauce made even the watercress delectable.
Our party had a Montecristo, an eggs and grits with bacon, and a seared duck with veggie potato hash that puts all other home fries to shame.
Proudly featuring Zekes coffee from just up the street, they served us an incredible chocolate topped cheesecake with a sweet foam, drizzled with dark chocolate.
This little out of the way treasure is our new goto for celebrations, after work drinks and really good food.
Because of the special drinks we ordered it was a bit pricey, but so very worth it. YMMV.

Okay, hear me out, this place is DELICIOUS. This was our first time here for brunch. We ordered: croque madam, thee steak and eggs, and the bread pudding. If you're in a hurry, here is the summary: it's a little pricey, but the food was FRESH and perfectly cooked and seasoned.

The staff was friendly and attentive. The place is small but this building is from the 1920s, so expect cozy seating. The vibe is cozy, intimate, but also casual. The restaurant is owned by a young couple and is very much family-owned. The staff clearly loves each other and their customers. I even witnessed the owner doing some basic sign language for some regulars who are hearing impaired.
Since everything is fresh, they make to order and can customize. I recommend getting the homemade biscuit instead of the English muffin because it's made in house.
The croque madam is excellent. It's a nice balance between a sweet brioche bread and salty ham. The bechamel gave a nice creamy taste in between the layers of thick ham.
The steak and eggs was delicious. I recommend medium rare because the end pieces are more likely to medium with the center slices cooked perfectly. The chimichurri wasn't too intense and didn't have an overpowering raw garlic taste, it was delicious.
If you get the homemade biscuit, get the jam and butter with it. The jam is something special. They were out of cinnamon rolls by the time we got there, but their rolls look amazing. Instead, we got the bread pudding which was made with their cinnamon rolls and had a peanut butter ice cream and glaze on top. I love peanut butter and it was like dying and going to heaven.
This is a great spot and brunch was first come first serve. I heard that reservations are good for dinner though because it is a small establishment. They have regular updates to their menus and new specials all the time from the looks of it.
I'm not sure if they have a handicap entrance. There were steps going up the door that I saw. They don't have a parking lot but there's parallel parking outside and plenty of spaces at the Safeway next door.

Really nice place! We went here for a birthday celebration during lunch and had a really great time. I had the steak and eggs which were delicious! At our table we tried a bit of everything from chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, to the cinnamon bun. Everyone enjoyed their dish and even asked for an extra order to take home.
Place can be tight, would recommend making a reservation in advance. Parking is going to be on the street or across.

The sushi rolls are also so pristine in terms of structure + flavour. ✨ You'd be hard pressed to find a sloppy roll. The rice also has lovely chew + seasoning. I could eat all of Matsuri's sushi rolls without any soy or wasabi and be perfectly happy - they're that good. 🤤
The tempura has amazing texture, but definitely needs the sauce to add flavour. The shrimp is better than the vegetable tempura, for my personal taste. The eel over rice is also so indulgent in texture and flavour. If you are with someone who doesn't like raw fish, this is a great choice for them.
I don't think Matsuri is the spot to get random freebie slices like Kiku on Light Street, but I don't think you'll care since the quality is so top notch. 👌💯 This restaurant is on my frequent flyer list, especially if we are dining out with family. ✈️

When we first visited this place nearly two years ago we thought it would be our go to. The decor is evocative of authentic Japanese vibes. The cooks are nice and always busy. There was a friendly young woman a few times during dine in, but the past few times we picked up orders to go there was another young woman who seemed diligent but just visibly in a bot so good mood.

Seeing how they cut corners on serving old rolls I just don’t trust the rest of the ingredients. It feels like a family place. I know the economy sucks and it’s the small businesses that suffer. And do I wish them well but I also want quality food when I eat out.

The restaurant served us plastic wrapped lobster rolls. We went there for restaurant week and ordered the lobster roll (which they charged $3 extra) and we kept noticing non-chewable pieces inside the roll. I drove an hour round-trip after reading all the great reviews, and the sushi I got should’ve never been served. The avocado was clearly past its expiration and should’ve been thrown out, and the salmon did not taste fresh at all. Sushi needs to be made with clean, fresh ingredients—no exceptions. Had lunch with another couple yesterday at The Corner Pantry on Falls Rd. This restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating. It's a very nice venue. You order, pay, and tip at the cash register before you even know the level of service you will experience.
We had good service. I had Welsh Rarebit. This is supposed to be toast with a savory cheese sauce on top. The Corner Pantry adds thin slices of grilled ham. Unfortunately, the layer of savory cheese sauce was so thin that I couldn't even taste it. I searched under the ham and saw that the layer of cheese sauce was actually present, but the taste of it was overpowered by the ham.

I do love the Corner Pantry, and have been loyal customer for years, but the pricing has crossed a line into unreasonable. First, I do know how hard it is to run a profitable restaurant in 2025. Inflation is real. Staffing is hard. I’m so glad they stuck it out and am grateful they’re here. I always want to support great local businesses, and I was understanding for a time after their recent expansion about why they had to raise prices and seriously reduce portions. Sad - but okay. However - I think it’s gone too far crossed into some pretty unreasonable pricing - which feels excessive - like they know they have a captive audience with few other options - and they can milk it for all it’s worth. I was just charged $17 (after tip) for a SINGLE small PANCAKE (pictured), and $10 for an iced chai latte after tip. We’ve gone too far - and sadly just like I stopped going to Stonemill when a sandwich passed $20, gonna have to stop coming here regularly and make this a very rare occasion spot. Which is sad. I just think that’s predatory pricing. Maybe they can find enough billionaires for pay these prices - I guess everything is this world is for the super rich now - even our local bakeries. Let them eat $17 pancakes!

I love this place so much. If you order ahead they will have your carry out order ready for you to pick up from the side door. The inside is beautiful but often fairly crowded and the tables inside are pretty small and close together. British cafe with a small menu of dine in and plenty of pastries/baked goods to choose from. We were in the area and saw this place on the map and decided to give it a try.
You place an order at the counter and then find a seat. It was packed on a Friday morning. The inside is very small and narrow, with a lot of small tables.
We ordered a sandwich, pancakes, and a sausage roll. The sausage roll had such good flavor but felt too buttery. The egg sandwich served on the crumpet was just ok, I loved the crumpet. I will just get the crumpet next time. The pancakes were my favorite. They were perfectly fluffy and had a sweet crunchy topping served with bananas. I love fruit so I wish they gave more fruit! Everything was delicious but on the heavier side.

I was in town with my family doing a college tour and we looked up this place since we were hungry. Let me tell you this Senegalese place was the highlight of the day. We walked in and the owner greeted up and was the nicest man you could meet. We had a few questions and he patiently answered all of them. The food was OUTSTANDING. We had the Dibi chicken, Dibi lamb and the Mechoui. All were well seasoned and you had a choice of mild or spicy. We went with spicy with the chicken and mild with the rest. We also had the seasoned rice. Everything was great there wasn't one wrong thing with the entire experience. Muhammad was such a gracious host tonight. My 13 picked year old, picked this restaurant and I'm so glad we went. We have never tried Senegalese food before and guess what, it was amazing. Muhammad suggested the lamb and it was worth it, tender with a grill flavor to it. As an appetizer we chose 4 Nems which are stuffed egg rolls with chicken, vermicelli, carrots, scallions and dried mushrooms. Again, that was delicious and honestly the sauce that accompanied the rolls was so delicious I had to get some to take home. My daughter has the chicken yassa and she loved that and my other daughter has the Chicken swarms. As a mom of two teens I think I got this one in the bag. This restaurant is exceptional. Period. From the food to the ambiance to the service everything was intentional and beautifully done. And clearly, I’m not alone in that opinion: the majority of these reviews are 5 stars, and earned. Yet somehow, there are a few people in here acting like this is Yelp’s complaint department instead of recognizing a growing, thriving Black-owned business doing something special.
Let me be clear: if you have a legitimate issue address it with the manager. Email. Speak up like an adult. Don’t run to Google Reviews to tear down a place your own community is building. There’s a difference between constructive feedback and public pettiness. Especially when it’s our own people acting like they’re “doing us a favor” by showing up in the first place.
This space deserves protection, praise, and grace just like any five-star business in any other neighborhood. So again, I say: 100/10. I’ll continue to support this restaurant every chance I get, and I hope others show up with the same respect they’d give any high-end spot outside our culture.

Context first: I'm Senegalese, visiting from DC, and thought to take the opportunity to feed my craving while in Baltimore. This restaurant was top rated so I took the chance to visit. Mind you, I was staying in the Inner Harbor and had to Uber on both ways ($60 return trip).
I called first to ensure they were open and was told yes. I got there and the door was locked. I had to go knock at the takeaway service door.
The menu was limited (no thiebu djeune). I ordered the thiebu guinar/chicken rice. This pic speaks for itself. They were 4 tiny and dry drumettes (most likely heated up at the microwave). The jollof rice was tasteless, was clearly not cooked in the chicken-flavored sauce as we do back home, but most importantly was burned. Chunks of burnt rice :( That chicken rice was not fresh.
Prices were also steep ($25 for a plate of subpar rice, not even in NYC). I have aldo used to much larger portions, I usually have 2 meals out of portions in NYC or Paris. They also charge a 15% kitchen service fee.
Such a waste of time, energy and money. We want to support our brothers and sisters' n businesse but they need to help us help them.

The place is beautiful and the owner was super friendly. The food is delicious. The prices were alittle steep but the serving size makes them reasonably.
We visited on Saturday at around 1pm. The dining room opens at 2pm but we were able to order at the carry out and sit in the dining room.
We had the Lamb Shawarma (platter but I'd get the gyro in the future), the Dibi Chicken, Fish Patties, and Eggrolls. We also had two mango drinks. I cannot remember exactly what was special about it but when I ordered it I thought it was an alcoholic drink 🙃
My fiance and I visited maybe a month prior and were very disappointed the restuarant had not yet opened which wasnt clear on Google. We shared this with the owner. He shared they are in transition but the Liberty Rd and York Rd locations are open with a Fells Point location to come.

Over the food was decent. The flan was a bit different. I’ve never had it served that way before. The consistency of it was more chewy than rich.
The fried dumplings were not fresh. The filling came right out of the fried shell.

It was my first time having Vietnamese pho after watching some YouTubers on Pho. So I started Googling and YES! There was a place right here in Baltimore. Safe street and good area. I walked in and was greeted by a gentleman immediately.
Ok...good start! Water and menu came to the table quickly. I looked and ordered. Praying the food would match the service. Listen...open your ears and your stomach and listen 👂🏽 to Shea baby. That Chicken Broth Pho came out and they had some vegetables with it and Jalapenos (love 😘 that) on a side plate. They had some brown sauce and red sauce table side. I put a little bit of broth on the paddle and tried it. Oh....My...Goodness!
It makes you want to kick your shoes off and wiggle your toes! I'm not even lying! 🫣😁. I grabbed the chopsticks (I had to remember how to hold them from when I was in the US Navy in Japan). It's been a minute 😂. I got to work. Then the Bahn mi came out looking like a beautiful 🤩 date going out to a fancy Theater. Sweet baby! I took one bite and it was tongue gymnastics! It was empty on a Sunday at 8 pm. I received Pappadam and chutney and a menu. I ordered Dosa Masala with chili and onions on the side. The dosa was tasty but not as thin, large, and crisp as I know dosa. I also enjoyed the complimentary onions and chili as well as the thick vegetable masala. I had to deduct a star for the smell of the restaurant that wasn't as fresh as I would have liked it and 1 star from the service because with only two guests and two waiters I wasn't prepared to wait for my check to arrive. No bathroom and birria tacos only available Fridays. Very pleasant atmosphere plays authentic Mexican music along with authentic food and a mostly Latino clientele.

I ordered quesabirria tacos with guac online. I was given a pickup time. I gave it a few minutes and then went inside (after pickup time). There were a few people inside. The employee behind the counter had her back turned and did not turn around to greet new customers, take orders, take names, nothing. Was craving some really good authentic tacos and this place gave me what I needed and more. First of all when you enter you smell and the meat and spices cooking up. You can feel the authenticity in the atmosphere. The menu is extremely unique and versatile. Once you get a smell of the fumes you just want a little tasteof everything. I got the mix and match tacos and a quesadilla. The tacos come with your choice of meat and fixings how you want. The quesadilla was massive and packed with flavor. I’m an extremely picky eater and this hit every note just right. Everything was seasoned perfectly and you can just taste the freshness. Not to mention the portions. You’ll definitely have leftovers. They even had samples of fresh frozen fruit mixtures. Like fruit popsicles. Not something processed but light and natural fresh. All I tasted was fruit. I saw this restaurant on the TV PSA for vaccinations in Baltimore as we were searching for someplace to have lunch. I am so glad fate stepped in! The service was excellent and speedy. We chose to get our food to go and eat back at our hotel, but there was limited seating inside. It looks like when the weather is warm there is likely some seating outside as well. The food was so good I couldn't stop eating it even when my tongue was on fire from the spice! The chipotle sauce is no joke, but it's so good! We got chicken enchiladas, chicken tacos, cheese and pepper tamales, and el esquelator (nacho fries). All were excellent! As a bonus, the art inside the restaurant was beautiful to look at while we waited for our food and I was happy to see the sign outside that it is a woman owned business (obviously by the name). We will definitely be back next time we visit the city!

Overall, everything was great — the food and atmosphere were enjoyable. However, I did notice that the ramen seemed to use Buldak noodles. We ordered two ramen bowls, and at least mine tasted very similar to the regular black Buldak ramen that’s available at Walmart.
Additionally, when I asked for the hottest version, it seemed like the dish was made with only the black Buldak noodles and sauce, without any additional seasoning or flavor elements. There wasn’t much taste beyond the Buldak spice itself, which made the ramen feel a bit one-dimensional.
Suggestion:
It might also be a fun idea to enhance the restaurant’s atmosphere by adding a large TV that plays clips of anime characters eating ramen on loop. That would really complement the theme and create an even more immersive experience for guests.

We had a party in the private karaoke room yesterday for my birthday and it was an awesome experience! Once we learned how the machine worked (it was in Korean), it was super easy to use and we basically sang the entire 3 hours we were there. One of the best Koren restaurants I've been to in a while. Really hip and unique atmosphere. Good music playing, and not too loud. Fried chicken- 5 stars perfect crisp level. All the pancake options are good. Only critique were the French fries, they were average on a plate with some of the best fried chicken in the city. Gotta up the French fry game.
Portions are extra large, I recommend split plate a main with one appetizer if you are a party of 2.

Super cute inside! It was a rather quiet Saturday evening. We stopped by for the first time to try this place with our 2 year old son, and it did not disappoint. We came in for lunch and it was empty, but still did not have the most attentive server. We ordered soup - the lunch special. You can choose various broths. For entrees we had the drunken noodles and the banh mi, both of which were excellent and affordable, and I also really recommend the Lao Taro smoothie, which has real taro imported from Laos in it.
One word of warning for summer travelers - there's no AC in the building! They have plenty of fans but it did get pretty hot when we were there, even though it was the evening. Still, overall definitely very glad I stopped by and I will be back!

Decided to try this Laotian / Thai restaurant for Baltimore Restaurant Week. Parking down this road but if the stars align then you are in luck.
It is a cozy restaurant with pleasant decor. The wait staff were courteous and helpful.
We did the restaurant week specials as well as ordered off the menu.
For apart we had the Tom Kha soup which was flavorful with the right balance of spice and tart.
The Nahm Khao was excellent.
For the main course we had the Green curry Short rib , a Pad See Ew and Larb,
This was where I felt the food did not fully deliver. While flavorful, it lacked the flavor burst that one expects . The larb was not as tart as excepted. And the Pad See Ew while packed with vegetables and protein did not have the slight sweet profile one expects from the dish. The green curry was good with the meat tender .
Desert was sticky rice with mango that was well executed. The rice was warm and flavorful with a hint of sweetness that allowed the flavors of the mango to shine through.
I must mention that the Baltimore Restaurant Week menu was worth it as it had a choice of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages . We had the mojito which was delicious.
All in all it was a good meal. Worth trying for Restaurant Week. .

It’s a surprising place. We got there at 7:30pm, we ordered Sizzling sisig and fried pork belly appetizer 16oz for two. The food was so fresh and delicious, sisig had a rich flavor in spices. The two servers we met in the store were nice, they said they’d give us more pork belly later because the box was not full but we didn’t even notice that. Food - They have different options to choose from. We had the pork dinuguan and humba along side with 2 cups of garlic rice for $11.99. We ordered the 5 sticks of pork barbecue which was on promo for $13.99 with small atsara and vinegar on the side.
Pork dinuguan and humba was good. Portion size is good for the price. The pork barbecue is not bad too, had a smokey flavour. Different type of barbecue that I had on other Filipino restaurants which had pork fat at the end and on the sweeter side.
Service - It was good. We were helped by two ladies over the counter.
Atmosphere - Quiet place inside the store.
It's our first time visiting Mama Rosa. It wasn't a busy time when we went there. Lots of foods to choose from. They have a separate spot at the basement where they have all sorts of Filipino things like snacks, sauces, etc.
The grocery side doesn't have proper pricing available. You can ask the employee to scan and see how much the item is.
Parking is not a lot since they share with other establishments at the area. Make sure to bring your valuables when leaving your vehicle. Lots of broken glass outside, probably someone else's car has been broken in.
Would definitely come back for more Filipino food! 😁

I love coming here for solo-eating. I love coming here for a meal with friends. I love coming here for date night! All to say, this place is so cozy, warm, and welcoming. The staff are so friendly and kind. And the place is very vegetarian friendly! Their Bun Bo Hue is one of the best in town. But it's not for everyone. Hardly spicy, but one of the two meat options has pork knuckle. I don't think they allow substitutions. Anyway, very delicious amped up pho.
Tofu Spring Rolls app was ok. Very fresh, but had almost no flavor on their own w/o a sauce to dip in. I like their peanut dip sauce, but wife doesn't.
I also tried their Thai Curry Pho (pic) which was pretty good, and I don't normally care for creamy curries like that.

Really great customer service, the place was pretty empty, but they were pretty busy because they had a constant stream of takeout orders.
They have a huge menu and as their restaurant name indicates, they serve Indonesian and Vietnamese dishes. I ordered their bun bo hue and a Thai milk tea. My fiance ordered their Indonesian rice place with grilled chicken and teriyaki sauce. Their bun bo hue was delicious and piping hot and their Thai milk tea didn't taste watery at all! My fiance loved his dish and he even asked to go back (he never does with other pho places I ask to go to)!
Their prices are a little high compared to pho places outside of the city, but not surprised considering the location.

Great hand pulled noodles in Baltimore on the second floor of the Whole Foods.
We ordered the Fiery Pork noodles which is a brothless noodle. The noodles weee fresh and the flavors were bold with a subtle spice.
The weather was beautiful so we sat outside with a nice waterfront view.
FYI they do parking validation for the garage too.

I found this business at an Asia in the Bite fest last year and they've become hands down my favorite ramen in the DMV area. I travel from the eastern shore of maryland for the dry noods, nothing else I've tasted has been similiar or come close. Last night I came in 10 minutes before closing and still recieved impeccable service. I will continue to spread the word to all my fellow ramen lovers this is a must try.

The best ramen you'll ever have on top of a Whole Foods. I'm not exaggerating. I've been in 50 Whole Foods on the East coast for work, and this the best. The food infuses some authenticity with the flavor of Baltimore (i.e. bird box style chicken). And because it's not parallel to the store, you don't get the noise of the shoppers. What a wonderful cafe to eat. A nice surprise to have freshly made food with a view. It was a chilly day & I wanted some soup. The chef made suggestions & created it to my liking. It was delicious. My friend had children over salad greens & said it was very good.
Atmosphere overlooks Harbor East from the second floor over Whole Foods. Take the elevators off the inside of the building. Open seating with lots of windows.
We had asked for directions on the street & the man highly recommended. I can see why.
