The prawn toast was literally just fried sesame bread with no prawn at all — and to make it worse, it was burnt! £7.80 for six tiny triangles is outrageous. The roast duck was mostly fatty skin and bulked out with a thick layer of beansprouts for £10.50 — total rip-off. The Sichuan chicken was so dry and hard it was inedible, with barely any sauce. The salt and pepper chicken was equally dry and tough. The Singapore fried rice was gritty, dry, and full of hard bits of questionable meat with a few tiny chopped prawns thrown in. The only dish that was even halfway decent was the mushroom chow mein. The total came to £53, and I was honestly shocked — I’ve had far better food for half the price elsewhere. I used to order from Double Dragon about five years ago and it was great back then, but since moving back and trying them again, I’m appalled at the decline in quality. Never again. Save your money — this has to be one of the worst Chinese takeaways I’ve ever had.

Their decor is super fun with a lip sofa and super long black and white chairs which gives the customer some good times in terms of pictures and keeps them engaged with their decor. They are much cheaper than most other places online and locally, and don't seem to show up on places like JustEat. But that's why they're so good! They put all their effort into making REALLY good food and really, really decent sized portions that DON'T cost you 2 day's wages to enjoy. Their food is also really well cooked and delicious. Since finding this place my partner and I now make it a tradition to walk from the other side of Hastings to order and collect our monthly take-away treat and sit on the beach to enjoy it. Staff are friendly and food comes quickly and with a smile. The inside clearly used to be set up for having sit down meals, though now it's just for ordering and go, but it's not needed. They make good food and serve it efficiently so you can have hot food within minutes of ordering. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED but also don't want everyone to know about it in case they get too much interest and have to increase prices to keep up with demand.
