She seemed like she just wanted to get me off the phone and mid question ended the call on me. And the worst thing is , the driver didn’t ring my phone but knocked the door instead. Food was decent however I ordered chicken Katsu Hirata bun and the bun got stuck onto the packaging and ripped off. Pan Asian is quite expensive and for the price does not reach the standard. The only thing saving this review is taste of the bun and chicken udon noodles which btw only had 5 small cubes of chicken in it. Please fix ur customer service because I’ve come here in person once and the workers look like they don’t know what they’re doing and they all look at u weirdly from the back when ur trying the food (if ur the only people in the restraunt) But again like I said. The taste of the food was nice so thank you for that

As we weren't familiar with the menu, we decided to go for set dinner for 2 (see photos attached for both the menu and photo of food). It has started with a soup that though was tasty, it felt a bit too fat for what we are used to. While we were eating it, we got ribs brought in which cam with really tasty sauce. The ribs were normal but the sauce (as well as sauces with other food) was really tasty. For the main we had egg fried rice with selection of chicken, beef and pork. The rice was really tasty and the meats went well with it but both beef and pork were a bit fattier than we prefer. At the end we had Chinese tea which I believe was some sort of white tea. We have also ordered wine which was fairly good. In summary, if you know what you would like to eat, you shouldn't be dissapoointed but I wouldn't recommend coming in blind.

The order took 2 hours to arrive from ordering. The fish fingers were overdone. Worst bit is every time I tried to call the restaurant after delivery, it rang and rang then was sent to voicemail. We have always gone to Lalas for Indian but will be finding somewhere different going forwards as this is very very poor. Have put 2 stars as curry and kids chips were ok.

The food is beautiful and literally with every bite you take you can taste different flavours which feels refreshing. The place is busy but the customer service is really good. They accommodated us with halal options and told us which dishes would be popular. Only downside is we need more of that salted caramel ice cream the buttery taste will fly you away! I think this place is my new go to now! I would actually give this place more stars if I could.

The only reason I am leaving this review is because later on after we started eating, a Chinese couple came in, they were handed different menus. Now I don’t think I would have understood their menus anyway because it was written in chinese, maybe they were the same dishes that were in the menus that were handed to us but one thing I noticed: when their food came to the table, it looked like proper proper authentic chinese food like I had in many other restaurants. We decided on the £15.95 3 course set menu. The place was empty but we got there early, it’s a little dated inside but the staff are so lovely. The popadom and chutneys weren’t the best, for starters we had onion bahji which wasn’t great but the meat and aloo tiki was lovely, it’s kind of a seasoned mash potatoe deep fried both with side salads. Then for main we had lamb Nawaabi which was absolutely gorgeous and full of flavour and a chicken Achari which was very unusual, different and couldn’t work out what spice but really enjoyable. The peshwari naan was one of my faves - it had pistachios in it i think and was a perfect accompaniment, alongside the pilau rice. We were then offered tea/coffee, hot clothes and a mint chocolate. The staff are so sweet and helpful. We took a doggy bag home as couldn’t manage to eat everything.

After going through their menu, I ordered a Mix Tawa platter, along with Kheer (rice pudding), Falooda, Mango lassi, and a can of pop. Early enough to enjoy the delights from the early bird menu. We had onion pakoras and chicken kebab to start, which were presented very nicely and had some decent flavour. I also ordered some additional fish pakoras from the full menu - was a little disappointed by these, have had FAR better elsewhere, but the batter was light and the fish succulent but under seasoned! Then for mains we opted for Chicken Karai - sensational, full flavoured with tender pieces of chicken. Also a chickpea curry, which was very nicely spiced and delicious! The naans were rather tasty and the poppadoms were lovely and crispy and served with some tasty pickles and chutneys! Overall a decent evening out, the staff weren’t massively engaging at all, but it was a very busy night for them! Would visit again to try more off the early bird menu !!

All pretty disappointed even with the sides and won't be back in a hurry as much better places around and not a patch on the destination restaurant in the same village, lesson learnt

Car park.. Free and 2 Dozen+ cars can park with no problems. Fantastic Toilets..omg. the waiter was not very helpful which I'll explain more below in regards to where the toilets were which we were upstairs but I couldn't see any stairs and he wasn't very clear until a few times to ask where the stairs well which were behind the see wall hidden conspicuously. Up stairs not clear to see what's the toilets were. One door has a male symbol. Another has no symbol. In both the toilets the hand drying machine was not working at all. In the men labels toilet the singular tap was not working! No paper to dry hands! Dining area. Very very nice. Best ambient. Music was but to loud.i got sore throat as i has to talk loud for my companion to hear me. Service. Omg. Terrible. Not rude but not professional and precise and accurate. Very street wise. Lacking basic admitting to the array of errors and mistakes. It like in some Carry on movie or in Fawlty towers with 2 manuel serving me..i kid you not. Well I'm told you already about very poor explanation of where the toilet is by the waiter. Where are the first person was that he couldn't really read properly and what number so I couldn't hear what you are saying but I greeted him as a gentleman and was in jolly mood with my best good friend. His lack of comprehension and speaking was quite poor very low volume and low tone and his comprehension of the order was very poor. We ordered a 2 chips with cheese with only served one. When does was explained to bring another chips with the main.. It was without cheese! It took ages for it come after mains were served. Then when asked for salt and pepper only salt was brought and placed upside down with no top so the dirty table was in contact with the orifice if the salt! We both ordered 2 roti with main dish but placed not Infront of us to in the middle to my left side. Only 1 roti to myself to get the 2nd roti was ages The plates were banged into the table ( we were the first to dine this evening so no need to rush). At the end of the meal i was about to fill my my glass with water but the jug for no reason was abruptly taken away and several minutes later had to ask for water! Crazy. No apology at any time from the 2 manuaels. Food. The mix platter came in on trolley with that lovely sizzling sounds. The chicken wings and lamb chops were black charades at places. Lamb chops were not tender but hard as was the peripheral of the wings. The fish was very nice as was the sheesh kebab.. No oily but juicy. Onions were plenty but either to burnt or needed tad more fry to be more softer The sauce was lovely. Perfect. Chips with cheese was very very good size portion for the price with cheese. Yummy. The lamb tikka my friend had he ate only half.. That speak for itself. My chicken tikkka was very nice. Nice flabourr. Not oily. Tad small portion compared to other restaurants locally though. Also last 2 chicken pieces not tender but hard! Roti mine was very nice. My friend first roti was nice. Second cane late and he lost appetite. Chips second portion came late and had to take minutes for them to add the cheese that was missing! 😱 Had to ask for customary dip with main dish and fire salt and pepper! Nuts! That still forgot to bring the pepper! 4 hand lemon flavor wipes were given. Bill came to £46 and some pennies. Had to go to bar to pay. I don't think for such a price with very very poor service, messed up order and poor WC facilities I'll want to come here again I'm sorry to say.i didn't even say or mention the hard lamb chops and hard chicken wings. Both charred severely on certain places.

We usually go to Bradford for a curry as we never usually find old school authentic curries in the Dewsbury/Batley area but after seeing a few positive reviews we decided to give it a go. The starters were OK - 7/10, the onion bhajis were a waste of money in all honesty as they seemed as though they were leftover bits from the fryer. The owner called them "onion fritters", no idea what he was referring to as they weren't fritters and it stated they were onion bhajis on the menu. However, the chicken tikka and seekh kebabs were nice, we enjoyed them. For our main we ordered an Asian style chicken karahi, it came and it was very overpowering and spices were undercooked and raw, it wasn't at all authentic desi style. The oil wasn't even separated from the curry which makes me believe that they had used a 'base curry' that they'd made up earlier in the day and sprinkled in the raw spices after. It wasn't how a karahi was supposed to/usually looks either. We were very disappointed. We decided to tell the waitress (they were friendly and came across as polite at all times which was nice.) She took it back to the kitchen and they added cream to the curry which made it even worse as we didn't ask for a overpowering curry to begin with but then to add cream to it, it was then a sweet overpowering curry. We told the waitress again who took it away and said they'll sort it out and 5 minutes passed we didn't know what was going on. So at this point we decided against resolving the issue with the curry, so we told the owner we'd pay for the starters but not the curry as we didn't eat it, we literally had a tablespoon. Also I must add, the chapatis were crispy and not at all fluffy and soft, they were rock hard, I've never seen chapatis like that. The owner charged us for poppadoms and pickle tray which we didn't even order and he knew as he took our order and he insisted we have to pay for the curry even though we didn't eat it as we were unhappy so we refused. He then became very rude and aggressive baring in mind he was fine up until this. He kept saying see you later very rudily and charged us whatever he wanted to and after we questioned this he REFUSED to give us a receipt. So not only  was trying to charge us for things we didn't even buy, he came across as very intimidating and rude for no apparent reason. He said we were been "awkward" but we didn't say or do anything out of line except tell the staff we didn't like the curry and it wasn't to our expectations which is why we chose not to eat it therefore we didn't think we should have paid for it. Constructive criticism isn't a negative for a business usually as it helps them learn from their mistakes. Not in this case, he was really offended and had the worst attitude possible for the owner of a restaurant. Overall, we were disappointed. The owner cannot take criticism of any kind even when it isn't meant to upset him in anyway. It wasn't at all personal to him. He's rude and aggressive for no apparent reason to customers. Will not return and would like to inform others of our experience. Also noticed a few other reviews saying the curry was overspiced so it wasn't an isolated incident.

I got the Pad Thai box with the drink... I think it was something like 8 pound something... The positives: The food was fresh and warm, they make it on the spot and you can see them making it. Maybe they just don't know how to make that particular dish and maybe their other dishes are better... Or it could be that they cater too much to the western palate.... After work, I noticed a number of people eating food from Little Lotus in the city centre. Intrigued, I made my way to this food place. There is a good number of seating both upstairs and downstairs. I sat upstairs, hence the photo attached. Some of the food here is halal. However, it's best to ask the staff before making your order. Readymade halal boxes usually say 'HALAL' on them. It's to do with the sauces they use. I was moved by the variety of foods this place has to offer. Mostly readymade foods are sold here, located in the fridges at the front of the store. There is also hot food served at the counter. Based on all the hot options, just one chicken option was not halal. Again, always ask if you are unsure of what you can and cannot eat. I opted for the Veg gyoza Miso Rice Noodles from the fridges, which the lady heated up for me. I also bought the HALAL Veggie Set to go. It had what appeared to be strands of seaweed on top of rice balls in a fried pocket, topped with crispy fried onions, and with a side of sushi rounds. My sushi vocabulary isn't that great as you can probably tell lol. The Veg gyoza Miso Rice Noodles were tasty. Not overly different from similar foods spots, but very hearty and piping hot! Proper comfort food :) I would highly recommend this place for those looking to eat halal sushi, noodles, soups and rice bowls. Overall, very happy with my visit here.

Food was due at 19:25 and I received a call at 19:20 saying that the driver had been but there was no answer. It's strange as I was home and the doorbell didn't ring, nor was there a knock on the door. They also were totally unhelpful in resolving the issue and offered no form of compensation for the terrible service received. The server was happy to advise on what to order and I chose sweet and sour chicken, udon noodles, egg fried rice and crispy chicken. Having tried Oodles at a range of different places, the size of the box was far too small for how much I paid to them. The crispy chicken was still cold inside (and wasn't really crispy at all, although in fairness it did have some flavour), and the udon noodles were flavourless and they just seemed to be coloured brown. In terms of the egg-fried rice, it was large grains of plain rice accompanied with extremely small amounts of egg. It wasn't anywhere near traditional as they make it out to be, and it would be unfair to say that it was an Indo-chinese fusion either. You'd expect egg fried rice to be the staple of any place that says that they are Chinese, and I was disappointed that they couldn't achieve this. The overall presentation of the box was good, but if the food inside isn't good too, then the value for money just isn't there. I think that it is fair to say that for the price I paid, it wasn't worth the money and the box was far too small. The pricing structure offered makes you feel that a large is the 'best value for money', but there really is minimal difference between a medium and a large – both are equally overpriced, and more so with the small. I didn't finish the food despite buying the large as I didn't like the Udon noodles or rice, so I would not recommend those two if you do decide to visit. The sweet and sour chicken was pretty nice, hence why I have rated this two stars rather than one. I have visited the other branches (including the old and new one in Leeds), both of which have far better quality of ingredients and overall satisfaction. I feel that for Oodles to use a franchise model in this case has led to a decrease in quality, so for me personally, I would not visit again in a hurry. To increase the star level for this review: I'd appreciate seeing a fairer pricing model, better value for money, and a bit more flavour added overall. I used this takeway a number of times when it was Ali's Kitchen. Since the change there is just no comparison. I have tried 3 separate dishes now and all very average. They might have considered using the chef(s) from Ali's Kitchen and the ethos as the dishes that I had under Ali's Kitchen were truly delicious and made with some care. Chicken that melted in the mouth, sauces that were distinctive, packed with flavour and ingredients other than just chilli and powdered spices. Even the rice was far better. Ali's Kitchen was definitely the best takeaway in Huddersfield while it lasted. Sadly Shapla is not...not at this time anyway unless they improve vastly.
