It's tiny (so make sure you book) and it has such a lovely atmosphere, partly due to the relaxing decor and partly due to the wonderful staff. We had a pre booked afternoon tea (booking was super easy). What a treat it was. Everything was made on the premises, the sandwiches were generously filled and made with a selection of different breads all of which were so fresh. The bite sized sausage rolls were crisp on the outside and well flavoured, I even loved the garlicky gazpacho soup. The scones were light and fresh and beautifully flavoured, and came with bowls of jam and clotted cream. The cakes were something else entirely, too many to mention from super light carrot cake to a dense and fudgy chocolate brownie, to a custard cream that melted in the mouth, there was even glasses of strawberry Eton mess, oh my goodness so good, and everything was beautifully presented. We were served with hot and cold drinks of our choice, and the helpful staff checked regularly (but not too much) if we needed anything else. We felt welcome to sit and enjoy our afternoon tea have a well earned catch up and a laugh. We're looking forward to returning (another customer told me they've booked in for Christmas afternoon tea already so we might do the same) and sampling some of their regular menu as all the food we saw looked fantastic. My 2 sisters and I were heading to a ceramic paint class but wanted to eat here for supper beforehand and so glad we did. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and of high quality as everything tasted so gorgeous. We went for the garlicky, salty, buttery balls for starters which were so flavoursome. We then shared 2 large pizzas - one with salami and mushroom, the other with chicken, pancetta and red onion. The flavours were incredible. We also went for the smores pizza for dessert. To top it all off, we were delighted with the price and thought it was worth every single penny! Mike was also so good at communicating through Instagram messages with any questions I had. The other members of staff were so lovely and professional at their job. The atmosphere was honestly so chill. The little touch of dominos to play on the table was cool. So lovely to see places like this doing so well. Ellon residents are beyond lucky to have this on their doorstep. Will definitely be back.

Staff advised we could go to the bar. Bar supper it is then. Menu looked very good. Fajitas chicken and Korean beef combo and a portion of pulled pork loaded fries was awesome. Just flawless food and at such a good price. We tried brisket, pulled pork and wings, as well as Mac cheese, sweet potato fries and onion rings. The rib meat fell off the bone - it’s all super high quality meat. Everything was stunning -it came to around £45, which I would happily pay again. Special mention for the sauces - every one of them is incredible! We brought a bottle of sweet BBQ sauce home. However, the stand out here is the service. It’s clear that everyone at Meat Monster is passionate about what they do. Alistair (Monster in Chief, I believe) is very enthusiastic and chatted with us - explained the sauces, talked about their work, gave us some hot sauce samples.
