Park
Nature & Parks
Klyde Warren Park is a vibrant urban park located in the heart of Downtown Dallas. It offers a variety of activities and events, including food trucks during lunchtime, arts and music performances, fitness classes, and children's events. The park was created as a central gathering space for the city and features a spacious lawn surrounded by a tree-lined pedestrian promenade.
It was an amazing experience at this park. It offers a variety of fun activities, especially for family and kids. A big water fountain and sprinklers for kids to play is a prime attraction. It has a lot of play spots, ground to relax, food trucks etc. A very good spot for picnic, time to spend with family or to stay relaxed. I drive nearly 20 miles to go the park, and play with my kid. Very near to US75 and just a small detour takes u to the park, making commute very easy.

It was a neat little walkway to the water/light show. They play music while the water and lights are going. Great place to go relax from all the city life. Its more peaceful than I thought it would be being in the middle of downtown. Kids were running around in the water and having a great time! Wonderful place. There were a few food trucks there as well.
Ashley S — Google review
The park is beautiful! There is a water area for children that has games a big lawn and also the bathroom is very clean. While across the street they have a water area for dogs to enjoy as well. The view is beautiful and a nice place to relax and enjoy the view. I would definitely check this place out with the lights. They also have events there. Just don’t drive scooters on that block they’re not allowed in the park, so if you use them you have to park across the street.

A very nice gateway park for a family with kids especially. Many activities every weekend, food trucks, live music or performances. It has a good size kids playground with water fountains. A public restrooms are readily available. Parking is little hard to get for free. Street parking is there along with garage paid parking. Some nice restaurants in the premises for nice food and refreshments. Always a fun time here!!

It was our first time coming to klyde Warren Park and my daughters and I loved it. There was a lot to do. My daughters had fun playing in the fountains and playground. There is a lot of shade by the food trucks so it was perfect to sit on a table and grab a bite. There is also board games for the kids to play. So much to do we will definitely be back soon😊

Klyde Warren Park in Uptown, Dallas, is always clean and pristine on weekends. You can find almost every type of food truck, kids' play areas, beautiful dancing fountains with music, tables, games, and lush green grass. The park also offers some of the best views of the skyscrapers in Dallas, adjacent to downtown and Uptown. It's a great place to start your morning by walking around Uptown and downtown. Numerous events are held here, making it a vibrant part of upscale Uptown.

Klyde Warren Park is located right in the middle of Downtown Dallas and is built over an overpass. The park has a small children’s play area with limited equipment, a food-truck zone, and good security surveillance, making it a safe place to visit

Observation deck
Sights & Landmarks
Reunion Tower is a renowned observation deck that offers stunning 360-degree city views, light shows, and a gift shop. It's a popular choice for couples seeking unique experiences in Dallas. While dining options are currently unavailable due to renovations, visitors can still enjoy day-and-night viewing with adult tickets priced at $24 each. Additionally, there's an exclusive 'Love is in the air package' that includes VIP elevator service, complimentary sparkling wine, and commemorative Reunion Tower flute glasses.
The view of Dallas from the top is absolutely stunning! My wife and I had a day out and decided to visit Reunion Tower. We arrived around 6:30 PM, just in time to enjoy a lively Mexican dance performance at the top, such a fun surprise! We stayed to watch the sunset, which made the whole experience even more magical. I highly recommend buying your tickets in advance, you will saves money and makes entry quick. Upon arrival, you can even have your picture taken for free, which is a nice touch. The elevator ride to the top is smooth and takes you straight up in no time. Parking, we parked close by from the tower paid $10 for 4 hours.
Muntakimur R — Google review
Reunion Tower was a pretty cool experience. Offers 360 degree views and a great view of the city. While not the highest observation deck we’ve been to it was still a fun experience. One unique thing about this observation deck is that it gives you history on the assassination of JFK along with a perfect view of the building where the shooter was. Overall not the most exciting observation deck if you’ve been to other cities like New York or Chicago and not something I’d come specifically for but if you happen to be in town and have some free time it’s worth checking out.
M I — Google review
Reunion Tower is such a unique Dallas experience! Parking is pretty easy with garages and lots nearby, and if you want extra convenience, you can valet through the hotel it’s attached to. Once you head up to the 50th floor, the views are incredible. The observation deck gives you a full 360° walk-around view of the city, and it’s designed so you can enjoy both the indoor space and the outdoor terrace. There are tons of opportunities to take photos. whether you want skyline shots, sunset views, or just fun pictures with family and friends. The space is well-kept, staff are helpful, and the whole vibe feels memorable. Overall, it’s definitely worth a visit for the panoramic views and photo opportunities!
Venita N — Google review
This is a must visit landmark in Dallas offers an 360 degree view from its lollipop style observation deck. The city skyline is a sight to behold, especially breathtaking during sunset or at night when the lights illuminate the city. The interactive displays provide an engaging and educational experience, while the friendly staff enhances the overall visit. A special mention goes to Willie, the elevator operator, whose humor, knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm make the experience truly memorable. I sincerely hope his boss recognizes his contributions and considers giving him a raise which he truly deserves it. Whether you’re a local showcasing the city to friends or a visitor exploring Dallas for the first time, Reunion Tower offers an unforgettable experience with its stunning views and positive atmosphere.
Chunyao C — Google review
Parking is horrendous. No good parking directions. The construction going on around the tower and the hotel is confusing making it hard to get into. Once inside the hotel you are in the convention hall and very little clear signage directing you to the tower entrance. $19 dollars per person to go up an elevator and walk around for just a few minutes is not very economical. The only reason I agreed is because it was what my son wanted to do for his Birthday. The views were ok, but not really what I was hoping for. The one redeeming factor (the only reason I am willing give 3 stars instead of 1) is the staff in the tower was very warm, friendly and inviting. Was able to strike up a good conversation with a couple of them and they were amazing. The staff at the Hyatt was also great and directed me a much easier way back to our parking spot using a tunnel. It was a nice walk back.
Jeremy G — Google review
The view from this high altitude mesmerizes us as we enter the top of the tower. We spend quality time there. Specifically at the sunset time :) One thing recommended: They will ask you to take photos while entering the elevator. Take as many as possible because they will email you all, but you must purchase at least one. That will cost 25-30.
Dewan R — Google review
It was fun to see such a great 360 view of Dallas from so high up. Loved that the telescopes were free, well included in price, as was a souvenir photo. We did not go to the restaurant.
Samantha F — Google review
Great, 360 view of the city. I'm sure a night time viewing would look much cooler. It's a bit tricky finding the entrance because there's so much construction and once you get in the building, it's still a bit tricky to find the entrance, it's not too well marked. There is parking close by. It's about a five minute walk, and it's reasonably priced.

Botanical garden
Nature & Parks
Nestled along the picturesque shores of White Rock Lake, The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is a stunning 66-acre retreat that offers visitors a vibrant escape from the urban hustle. This botanical paradise features an array of colorful gardens, expansive lawns, and lush groves filled with pecan trees, magnolias, cherry blossoms, and azaleas. It's truly a feast for the senses!
The Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve ever visited. Spread across 66 acres along White Rock Lake, it’s full of lush greenery, vibrant flowers, shaded walkways, and relaxing water features. Every corner feels like a photo moment, from buzzing bees and colorful blooms to quiet, tree-lined paths and sculptures tucked among the plants. It’s perfect for families, couples, or anyone who just wants a calm day outdoors. The Jonsson Color Garden and Red Maple Rill are stunning highlights, and even with some areas under construction, the gardens still look incredible. Definitely wear comfy shoes, bring water, and go early for parking. The gift shop is adorable, full of garden-themed décor and souvenirs. The Arboretum also hosts amazing seasonal events like Dallas Blooms in spring and the Pumpkin Village in fall, such we attended today. It’s worth every penny of the ticket price, a must visit spot in Dallas for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone who needs a peaceful escape. 🌸

I love it here! I came for the autumn festival. It’s a beautiful walk in nature. Would definitely come back for their Christmas event! I would recommend walking shoes, and plan to stay for a few hours. There’s a few cafes you can dine at as well. We saw a lot of people with picnic blankets and their own food or crafts, which would also be a great idea when visiting.
Emily F — Google review
The Dallas Arboretum was absolutely beautiful and very well taken care of! There’s plenty of space for large groups to walk the trails comfortably. During my visit, there were two weddings happening, and both setups were stunning. The picnic area was peaceful and relaxing the view of the water made it even better. I also loved that they include areas for kids to play and learn, making it a great spot for families too. An employee mentioned that next week the Arboretum will be Christmas themed, which sounds amazing! Every staff member we came across was friendly, checked in with us, and made sure we were having a good time. I absolutely loved my experience here and definitely recommend visiting!

Beautifully up kept and always full of such vibrant colors. We visited for the Fall exhibit and absolutely loved every minute. During our visit we found our way to the kids exploration park and had so much fun. this place is huge! We got lost in activities and exploration ourselves, definitely a great way to spend time with family and friends. We love all the holiday activities at the Arboretum.

Took the family a few times now. Fall is beautiful with cooler temps and changing leaves. Their “12 days of Christmas” event held during the holidays is a must see. At night with all the decorations is a neat experience. Day visits we’ve seen bald eagles, falcons and all sorts of wildlife out there including coyotes early in the morning streaking through the empty open grass area!

I recently visited the Dallas Arboretum during the Halloween season, and it was absolutely enchanting! The garden was transformed into a festive wonderland, with stunning fall displays and the most creative use of pumpkins I’ve ever seen. The Pumpkin Mexico Village was a highlight—thousands of pumpkins, gourds, and squash arranged into whimsical scenes, cottages, and artistic structures. It was not only a visual treat but also a perfect photo opportunity at every turn. The attention to detail was impressive, from the themed scarecrows to the fall foliage complementing the displays beautifully. The atmosphere was family-friendly, vibrant, and full of autumn charm. Whether you're visiting with kids, friends, or just looking for a peaceful solo stroll, the Arboretum during Halloween is a must-see. Highly recommend making this an annual tradition—it’s the perfect way to celebrate the season and experience the beauty of nature with a festive twist. 🍁✨

The Christmas experience is incredible. The grounds are well maintained and the lights on the trees at night are breath-taking. The DeGolyer House is decorated with the greatest of care and detail ... absolutely stunning. The Christmas village is lots of fun and the attendants make it very kid-friendly.

If a beautiful stroll had a home address, it would be the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens at White Rock Lake. Whether you’re walking hand-in-hand with someone special or making memories with the whole family, the Arboretum sets the perfect mood for any Season. Breathtaking for Events, Wedding Photos, etc.... The skyline peeks through in the distance, the air feels festive, and joy is absolutely everywhere. With their 12 Days of Christmas currently on display, the Gardens are pure holiday enchantment. A must-see tradition for Dallas 💫

Art museum
The Dallas Museum of Art, located in the Arts District, is a cultural gem with an extensive collection spanning ancient times to the present day. Currently, it features 'Minds Eye,' an exhibition showcasing over 100 works on paper by renowned artists like Degas and Van Gogh.
A must visit place for anyone who appreciates art, and those even slightly interested. It's free, and has an amazing collection that ranges from classical to modern from all across the world. There is even a statue garden, as well as limited time exhibits. It's almost too much to see in one day, and is definitely worth multiple visits.
Matchewleez C — Google review
Seems like a really cool place, unfortunately we got there only one hour before closing. I would suggest planning at least 2 hours for your visit. It’s free, that’s really nice! Only thing is that when I checked in the lady at the desk did not mention anything about my purse/water bottle/umbrella but later a guard asked to leave because we hadn’t checked them and acted very rudely as if we had deliberately broken rules, it was a bummer since this required us to go all the way back to the entrance to check them and by the time the museum was 15-10 minutes to closing.

This museum is stunning! There is so much to see. You can easily spend hours lost looking around. It has such a huge variety of art and artifacts that everyone can find something to enjoy. I highly recommend stopping by here when in Dallas.

The Dallas Museum of Art is a world-class, free-entry museum in the heart of the Dallas Arts District, home to over 25,000 works spanning from ancient to contemporary art. Its galleries cover everything from Mediterranean antiquities and Asian art to modern masterpieces, and special exhibits keep things fresh. The building is light, spacious, visitor-friendly, and its location makes it easy to pair with nearby spots like Klyde Warren Park. If you enjoy art and culture, it’s well worth a few hours of your time.

Nice Art museum with artifacts from all over the world. Best of all it’s free. Staff were helpful and friendly. I went on a Saturday and it was not too busy. Very close to the DART station so it’s easy to get to from different parts of DFW area.

It’s a beautiful art museum with so much history and culture. Perfect for all ages! I love that it’s free and open to the public, such a wonderful place to enjoy and appreciate art.

The Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas is a state-of-the-art facility offering interactive exhibits and educational programs suitable for all ages. Located in the vibrant Deep Ellum entertainment district, the museum opened in 2012 and features captivating displays such as T-Rex skeletons, Ice Age megafauna, earthquake simulators, and brainwave-controlled activities. The museum's sustainable and energy-efficient building design pays homage to Texas landscapes while providing stunning views of Dallas from its fourth level.
I had a great time there at the Museum of Nature and there are 5 floors worth of knowledge. There's a floor that focuses on space, another one of geology and another one biodiversity. This is a great place to visit solo or with a group. It is also family friendly. Parking is across the street ans them one would walk to it from there. If you enjoy learning and science, Perot Museum of Nature is the place to visit!

Had a great time with my teen boys. They enjoyed the exhibits and interactions. Definitely recommend! Plan for at least 2 hours. We got our tickets online and chose the time to arrive. There's a splash zone in front of the building; young kids were really enjoying it.
Maribel F — Google review
Me and my boyfriend love to come here for a fun date and it was pretty fun. We went on a Thursday so we thought it would be less busy but there were a lot of field trips so it was quite busy. A lot of the interactions didn't work or were broken down for the moment. I understand that there were a lot of visitors and kids that day but at the same time should have been a bit more prepared. It's still a fun activity at the end of the day and the service is always wonderful.
Ashley C — Google review
This museum was fun. I really liked the Bug exhibit. It is worth the extra $10. We also watched the 3-D movie. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that entry to the museum is free for military and veterans. There are fun interactive activities that you can do. Good for both adults and children.
Lori T — Google review
It's one of the most enjoyable places I've been to with my 14 month baby. We spend a quality bonding time in the children's area until he was done playing, then we visited the other sections in the museum. The science and natural exhibits are amazing, educational, and very enjoyable.
Maria G — Google review
I feel like the tickets are a bit expensive ($25 per adult) on top of the parking (only one option of $15/day) but the museum was very complete and fun! Some of the try-on machines are broken due to use, which is a bit disappointing when the price of admision tickets should cover for any repairs needed; but otherwise the experience was great and enjoyable for all ages.
Clo — Google review
This is a really awesome Museum for any age! We were going mainly for my 3 nephews ages 3-5 and honestly the only thing they really enjoyed were the lower level kids Museum where they could play-they weren't much interested in anything else! There is lots of exhibits and lots to read which kids that age could care less about! But honestly if you're wanting to just entertain your kids you can go to a park for free! Now as teens and adults I thought it was really cool but we had to hurry through the entire thing bc the kids (3-6yrs) old would get bored very easily but what I saw and read was very interesting and informational! The pics below are of the entire kids part! Just so you know! Even with young kids expect to spend 1.5-3 hours here easily
Farmers M — Google review
Fantastic! I can’t believe I’ve never visited this museum. I went to Thursdays on tap, adult night! So many interactive moments, and it really brought out my inner child. Also food trucks outside were the icing on the cake. Mambo Taxi from Mi Cocina and Lobster rolls and tacos from Maines Lobster? I believe that was the name. Do yourself a favor and go visit!

Fine dining restaurant
Fearings Restaurant, located within the upscale Ritz-Carlton in Downtown Dallas, is a sophisticated Southwestern-inspired dining destination. Helmed by renowned chef Dean Fearing, the restaurant offers innovative New American cuisine with a Southwestern twist. The menu features unique combinations such as antelope with cactus pear glaze and Guinness chocolate cake with orange curd and cider beer ice cream. The elegant interior includes seven distinct settings, including a garden-facing glass pavilion and an intimate wine cellar.
We had high expectations and they were definitely met. The staff in the hotel and restaurant were so helpful and friendly. They went out of their ways to make our visit perfect. We even got a backstory on the drinks we picked. It was a lovely touch. All of the food was excellent. The chicken fried lobster was delicious. The sweet lobster contrasted nicely with the breading. The whole experience was worth repeating.

This place has a vegetarian menu and I'm all for it. Let's start with the bread, make sure you ask for more shiner bread, it's delicious. Unfortunately for us, they ran out when we were there. The surf and turf was fantastic. While the steak was what I expected from a high end restaurant, the fried lobster blew me away. My favorite of the night were the vegetarian appetizers. Both the tortilla soup and mini tacos blew me away. Both 5/5. However, I was left pretty disappointed with the Mexican sampler. The spinach enchiladas were okay, while the other two were just bad. You can do vegan/vegetarian entres with flavors and this was not shown in this dish. We also had the fearing old fashion, which I appreciate the sweet mellow scent vs the typical pungent scotch smell.
Vkl0253 — Google review
A great restaurant in an equally great hotel. The service was impeccable with all staff members being friendly and helpful. The overall ambience of the restaurant was bright and open. We were seated in a booth close to the kitchen but we didn't notice the sound. We started with the Southwest Sampler. The crab cakes were fried perfectly, the short rib enchilada was a little too sauce heavy but still delicious, and the lobster tacos were delicious...but let's be honest, the tacos were one bite and not two bite. My gf had the Chilean Sea Bass and I ordered the Antelope over Mole Rojo with Rabbit Enchilada. Both the sea bass and the rice it sat on were cooked perfectly. Absolutely delicious dish that I'll order next time for myself. I'm usually disappointed with rice in Texas so this was a pleasant surprise. The antelope was amazing. Whenever I see it on a menu, I always order it and I encourage everyone to try it. The only miss on this dish was the rabbit enchilada. The meat was a little dry and there was a bit too much cheese for the size of the enchilada. Overall, this a great dining experience and I highly recommend it.

Our dinner at Fearing’s last night was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the service, atmosphere, and attention to detail were flawless. Jesus was our server, and he went above and beyond — incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience feel special. Every course was perfectly prepared and full of flavor, from the appetizers to dessert. The presentation, timing, and energy of the restaurant made for one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Dallas. Highly recommend asking for Jesus when you visit — he truly elevated the evening!

Want to impress the people you’ve invited to dinner? This is the place! We didn’t have a reservation yet the hostess not only got us in but set us up at a lovely booth. The food was interesting and flavorful, the buffalo fantastically seasoned. We unfortunately didn’t have time for dessert due to an event we already had scheduled but we found some surprise petit fours in our to go bag. Dinner was so impressive we went back for breakfast. Everyone was attentive making the meals a memorable experience.
DGT — Google review
The decor definitely pays homage to Texas and its influence on the cuisine at Fearings. The food is inventive Texas cuisine with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. The menu is simple yet bold. The cooking techniques are spot on, and the flavors are bold. The appetizer sampler is a must try. The short rib enchilada is crave worthy. The mini crab cakes were a tad on the salty side but were still very good. The South Texas antelope dish was a really good composed dish. The "mole" that comes with the dish had an off-putting texture and mouth feel. The braised rabbit emchilada served with the grilled antelope was incredible! I still prefer the signature filet with chicken fried lobster, though. The bread service was really good, with three different bite-sized breads served. Service was very professional and helpful. They know the menu really well.

Excellent Tortilla Soup with a unique addictive flavor. I will be back just for this soup. I had the Buffalo meat dish. My partner had the Antellope dish. Both were tender and had delicious sides with each. Very friendly & attentive staff. I wish I took more photos. It was a wow! We will be back! Great bottle of wine. Feel free to use my words. :)

We had an amazing experience at Fearing’s in Dallas, even without a reservation. The staff took a few minutes but graciously accommodated us, making the evening smooth from the start. We were there for my husband’s celebration, and the atmosphere, service, and food made it truly special. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. I opted for vegetarian dishes, and the server suggested some fantastic options—each one bursting with rich flavors and perfect execution. The highlight of the evening was the coffee dessert, which were absolute showstoppers! Every bite was a delight, and the presentation made it even more memorable. Highly recommended for a special occasion or a fine dining experience in Dallas. The service, food, and ambiance made it an unforgettable evening.

Italian restaurant
Restaurant
Lucia is a popular Italian restaurant in Dallas, known for its creative Italian dishes served in a cozy setting dating back to the 1920s. Helmed by husband and wife team David and Jennifer Uygur, this charming trattoria offers house-cured salumi, handmade pastas, fresh breads, and a variety of antipasti including oysters and salads. The menu changes frequently but always features pasta-focused primi plates and entrees like Berkshire pork collar or roasted fish.
The food was a dream!!! We went with high expectations after trying to find a res for months & it did not disappoint! Everything is locally sourced & made in house (butter & bread included, 10/10)! Service was lovely, wine was great. Definitely going back soon!
Catalina D — Google review
Amazing service! Delicious food, I was a bit surprised by the pasta I chose, it wasn’t my favorite thing out of all the dishes my friends and I ordered. However, the risotto was phenomenal, and so was the fish option on the menu that day. Nice bottle of wine to go with our meal made it that much better. Would love to come back to try some more dishes.
Ninoska H — Google review
I recently tried all the food at Lucia, and while the experience was good overall, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The service was excellent—the staff were attentive, professional, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The atmosphere was also very nice, creating a comfortable dining setting. The food itself was great, but not quite at the level I expected given how much this place is talked about. The quality and taste could use a bit of improvement to truly match the reputation Lucia has. That said, it’s still a wonderful restaurant that I would definitely come back to. With just a few refinements to the menu and flavor profiles, it could easily be a five-star spot.
Ameen S — Google review
The service alone was enough to bring me back. I felt so welcome and comfortable here. Many times at an acclaimed restaurant you get the sense that you’re being sized up by the staff, but we felt right at home here. Our server was incredibly kind and the owner came by to chit chat with us. They were extremely attentive but not overbearing through the evening. I felt that a few of the dishes were saltier than I could manage, in particular the crostone and the farfalle. But the recipes were unique and interesting and left me wanting to try everything. Be careful not to fill up on antipasti, save room for the duck breast 🙈 but overall you should try this wonderful place! You can tell they put a lot of care into their menu
BD — Google review
After months of trying to secure a reservation at Lucia—about 6 to 8 months, to be exact—we finally dined here, thanks to the Resy platform. The difficulty in booking only heightened our anticipation, as it speaks to the restaurant’s popularity and allure. As Mexican from rural South Georgia with a love for bold, spicy flavors, I’ll admit my palate could be less refined, but my extensive travels chasing Michelin-starred and Michelin-guide restaurants (recent stops include La Colombe in South Africa, Pujol in Mexico City, and Zuma in Qatar) give me some perspective to share. The experience started strong with an incredibly friendly and attentive staff. Our server, John Michael, was a highlight, offering thoughtful suggestions and warm service. The bread and butter starter was a standout—absolutely delicious—but I was surprised it comes at a cost. In a restaurant of this caliber, bread service feels like it should be complimentary. The green salad was underwhelming, just a simple spring mix with lemon juice, lacking complexity. My stuffed cappelletti, which I’d been excited about, was disappointingly bland and only had a few bites. My partner, who is gluten-free, ordered the risotto and found it equally unimpressive. The golden tilefish was a bright spot, cooked beautifully, but the accompanying trimmings were so salty for my taste. Overall, the meal didn’t live up to the hype or the effort it took to secure a table. The total $183 for two, excluding drinks. While the service and ambiance were great, the food fell short of the expectations set by Lucia’s reputation and elusiveness.

We had very high expectations and we were not disappointed but we were not wowed either. There were 3 of us, after we placed our order, our waiter told us we should definitely order at least 2 or 3 more dishes. We ended up doing so and it was too much food. They add a 20% service fee so it makes sense that the waiter wants you to spend more. We ended up paying around $350 which is not that bad because we expected it to not be cheap but we were too full to even finish all the food. My personal favorite was the dessert.

We chose Lucia for my husband’s birthday dinner, but the overall experience didn’t meet expectations. We sat down at 6:30 PM and waited almost an hour for the courses to come out; even the bread took nearly an hour. I now understand why guests are asked to order everything at once. The salad felt thrown together without much care, and while most dishes tasted fine, they weren’t memorable. The pork cheek in the pasta was overcooked, losing all the richness it should have had, though the mushrooms were prepared very well. Surprisingly, the bread was the best dish of the night. By the time we finished, we were so tired from the long wait that we skipped dessert and left the restaurant at 8:36 PM. With the price point and reputation, we expected a much better experience.

I had been trying to come to this place for quite a while given the hype and craze over it and I was disappointed. Again expectation was high but food was subpar. You order all your meal at once. Appetizer, entree, dessert waiter was great in explaining on purpose in doing this to give the chefs time to prepare. The menu changes with season and they offer limited gluten free options. Started with the salad which the greens were nice and succulent but were too salty given the fish paste. GF risotto was too rich and drowned in butter sauce Main entree was the fish cooked to perfection that was good but lacked flavor I had to use my personal Tabasco sauce It’s not the worth the price if you’re a food snob like me

Steak house
Town Hearth, a creation of Dallas chef Nick Badovinus, offers a unique and swanky dining experience. The restaurant's interior is adorned with over 60 chandeliers and quirky decor like a yellow submarine in a fish tank and vintage vehicles parked around the space. Known for its high-end steaks cooked over an open flame, Town Hearth also features an extensive raw bar that seafood enthusiasts will appreciate.
It was an awesome experience! A classic Nick Badovinus concept. Eccentric, with a touch of modern and dang good food. The service was top-notch yet far from pretentious. The food is super high quality without the fuss. The ingredients are the real stars of the show at this restaurant.

I had a wonderful birthday here. My group of 8 gays was given access to the private dining room since it wasn't booked. The steak was very flavorful along with the mashed potatoes. Our waiter was fantastic too. I do wish they served bread or salad with their meals but I still had a successful birthday dinner here.

Town Hearth is an unforgettable dining experience in Dallas. The moment you walk in, the décor sets the stage—eclectic, stylish, and full of personality. From the chandeliers to the vintage motorcycles and bold design touches, every detail adds to the vibrant atmosphere and makes the space feel both glamorous and welcoming. The steaks are consistently outstanding, cooked to perfection with incredible flavor. The raw bar and seafood options are equally impressive, bringing a freshness and variety that rounds out the menu. Service is impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and professional without being intrusive. Yes, it’s a splurge, but the combination of amazing food, first-class service, and one-of-a-kind style makes it worth every penny. Perfect for a celebration, business dinner, or simply indulging in one of Dallas’s most iconic dining destinations.

I came here for my birthday and it was an amazing experience. The ambiance is stunning warm lighting, elegant chandeliers, and great energy all around. The steak was tender and flavorful, the sides were perfect (especially the mac & cheese), and the crème brûlée for dessert was the perfect finish. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the night feel special. Highly recommend for any celebration.

Steakhouse Review #1: Town Hearth Alright, so we went on a Friday night and had a res for 8:15. Valet was easy. The hosting staff was amazing and gave us recommendations and were super friendly. We waited about 15 minutes to be sat because she said she wanted us in the main dining room after we told her our monthly steakhouse review plans. Sweet girl. We talked with them almost the whole wait. The decor was cool, including a giant fish tank and car in the dining room. The atmosphere was loud and vibrant with a cool guy swagger. Our server was exceptional and made some suggestions as well. We ordered the filet mignon, cheeseburger and fries, (one of the recommendations by hostess), mac and cheese, fried brussel sprouts, and passion fruit kickers. Okay, so they cook their steaks over some cedar wood and I just wasn't the biggest fan as it tasted smokey and almost bbq'd and I guess I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to steak. It was cooked perfectly but I had a hard time getting past the woodsy flavor. The voodoo sauce they served with it was SLAPPIN. Request it if you go. They told us the cheeseburger and fries were better than Hudson House. Nope, as it was really, really salty and you could feel the salt crystals in your mouth. The mac and cheese was okay but mine is better and the brussel sprouts were the star of the show with a tangy honey mustard flavor that we both looooved. We didn't do dessert, which is a travesty, but nothing really spoke to us. No tears overall (yes, I sometimes cry when i eat really good food). The meal was $150 and we left $60 for tip and $5 for valet for a total of $215. Food: 5/10 Ambience: 8/10 Service: 10/10 Next up is Pappas Brothers for anyone who cares, but I'm excited and this is fun. Much love.

If you’re looking for the best steakhouse in Dallas with incredible cocktails and world-class service, Town Hearth is it! From the moment we walked in, Dan (the GM) made us feel so welcome. His hospitality was next level. Our server Albert was amazing. He knew the menu inside and out, recommending dishes that were absolutely perfect. We started with the crunchy, spicy shrimp appetizer (so good!) and then had the lobster mac and cheese, steak, and mushrooms. Every bite was delicious and cooked perfectly. The cocktails were also a highlight. Strong, creative, and some of the best drinks in Dallas. Between the amazing food, great drinks, and outstanding service, Town Hearth is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Overall negative experience. We had a reservation for 9:15 and we didn't get seated till 25-30 mins later. So that was a poor start. We ordered an octopus al pastor appetizer and lobster bisque. The octopus dish was not bad. Pineapple was good. The lobster bisque was missing something. It was bland. Also typically served with some crackers, but this just came by itself. That would be okay if the soup could be good by itself. There was one small claws worth of lobster in there. We ordered to share the wagyu ribeye 12 Oz medium. This was great. It was delicious. The one weird thing was how it was served. I did say we were sharing for two, but I've never gone to a steakhouse and been served steak that was fully precut. I've seen photos of their people steak and they were served in one piece. The sides we got was BLT Mac, and bucatini cacio e pepe. The BLT Mac was good. The bucatini was not. The sauce was not the right consistency and it didn't have flavor. The only flavor that came through was the chili flakes. The pasta also seemed like it needed to be cooked a little bit more. So for what the food costs, it was not worth the price. Plenty of other steak houses in DFW. The location is very loud. You have to be shouting across the table. That's not always a bad thing. Just know that's the case if you're interested in going. While the place was busy, we felt like the service was still slow. After asking for the dessert menu, our waiter kind of forgot about us. Another server came by, we asked for the dessert menu and came right away. Unfortunately the creme Brûlée was sold out.

Everything was amazing! We made a same day reservation - super easy to do. The front was so sweet with our reservation even after a mixup. They handled it so perfectly! Our meal w/ RJ (highly recommend you request him - his recommendations HIT!) from the AMAZING oysters to the Crème Brûlée was one of the best we’ve ever had! They have the most delicious Branzino & filet mignon we have ever had! It’s definitely pricey but worth every penny!!!

Barbecue restaurant
Pecan Lodge is a renowned BBQ eatery that offers a wide selection of smoked meats, sides, and desserts, along with an assortment of beer and wine. The establishment boasts an impressive lineup of pitmasters with diverse culinary backgrounds. Their signature BBQ is prepared using a traditional method involving mesquite and oak wood, earning them recognition as one of the top four BBQ joints globally by Texas Monthly.
There is no shortage of BBQ choices in Dallas and Pecan Lodge is my favorite for a few things. The pork ribs, burnt ends, turkey are all top notch. The brisket, beef ribs, sausage are great as well. I can't comment on any other meat...I've not had it. Side, haven't had those either. If by some chance you leave room for somethin sweet, absolutely make it the peach cobbler! Depending on the day, the outside patio is a great place to enjoy hanging out and listening to som live music. I highly recommend going to Pecan Lodge if you are in the area!

The food was very good. Fast paced line and food came out about 5 minutes after ordering. Be prepared to spend quite a bit of money if you are going with multiple people. We bought the trough it came stacked with enough meat for everyone to eat on and plenty left over. The sides were good but not anything to out of the ordinary. The baked beans were the best of the sides definitely recommend. All of the meat was good and tender besides the burnt ends they were on the drier side. All around everything was good definitely had a great experience.

🔥 The Pecan Lodge – BBQ Heaven! 🔥 I’ve tried BBQ all over Texas — Houston, San Antonio, and Austin — and honestly, this place might just be the best of them all. 😍 🥩 Beef Rib: Juicy, tender, and perfectly warm — you don’t even need silverware to enjoy it. Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. 🦃 Turkey: Delicious and juicy too, with the perfect flavor balance. 🎶 Atmosphere: Great vibes all around! There’s live music, a spacious terrace, and a friendly staff that makes you feel right at home. If you’re a BBQ lover, this place is an absolute must. Come hungry, stay for the music, and you’ll leave planning your next visit.

We heard from a few people that this is THE place for Texas BBQ. The line was long but there was no wait at the bar. The food came out very quickly. The brisket and ribs were tender with good seasoning. The BBQ sauce was good and adds to the flavoring. The fried okra was fried okra. I would recommend a different sides. The slushy margarita was delicious on a hot day but getting the swirl of flavoring was not worth the extra $4. The classic margarita would’ve been just fine. Overall the food was good. If there’s a short line or seatings at the bar, try it!

One of the contenders for the top pitmaster in deep ellum. The brisket was both tender and moist with plenty of smoke. Some of the best I have had. The burnt ends was less consistent. Some are juicy while others were dry. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Good alcohol pairings for great bbq.

Family and I are big time bbq eaters. This was our first time here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our party had 6 adults and 1 child. We opted for 3 lbs of beef ribs, 0.5 lbs pork ribs and 0.5 lbs brisket. 1 qt. jalapeño mac and cheese, fries, Okra, and beans. -Beef ribs: 7.5/10. These ribs were full of meat and easily came off the bone. They had a good smokey flavor. They were full of flavor! -Pork ribs: 5/10. Although they had good flavor, they were very chewy and were harder to take off the bone. The ribs were very small and had very little meat on them. -Brisket: 8/10. This was the best flavored food! They might have overdone it just a bit with the strong smokey flavor, but it was very well seasoned. Easy to cut into and very moist. The sides weren’t amazing just ok. The favorite for us all was the Mac and cheese. Didn’t have a strong jalapeño taste and had a good consistency. Overall, we definitely got our moneys worth. The tangy sauce is what really held everything together. The homemade lemonade mixed with tea was great. We wouldn’t be opposed to eating here again :)

My first time trying authentic Texas BBQ and it was better than I could have imagined. My wife and I ordered 2 pc combo plate to share which included brisket, ribs and 2 sides. The brisket was packed full of flavour and almost seemed to melt in your mouth because it was so tender. The cut was a bit fatty but I didn’t ask for it to be lean so maybe that’s normal. The pork ribs were some of the best I’ve ever had. Pair this with their homemade bbq sauces and it was delicious (they had a vinegar based sauce which added some tartness to the meat and sweet and smoky sauce which was also amazing). Service was quick and easy as you just line up at the front to order and then they serve it on a silver tray which came out just a few minutes after I ordered. The atmosphere was very laid back and felt like a garage or barn style setting (which was kinda cool).

Food was good, the macaroni was the best I’ve ever had. The ribs were cold and a little tougher than I would like. They did not seem fresh. The brisket was good but seemed as well cold and not fresh. I got marbled brisket it was good but not the best due to it not being hot. The okra was delicious, the collard greens were good but had a sweet flavor. The place was busy the cashier was in a hurry to take your order. We enjoyed our meal and will return in just wish you would receive hot meat on your order everything else was delicious the rolls are amazing as well. The pulled pork was okay too just not seasoned enough. There is a bbq sauce on table available. We will return if in Dallas again especially for the Mac and cheese

Sushi restaurant
Uchi Dallas is a sleek and modern Japanese restaurant located in Uptown. Since its opening in 2015, it has gained a reputation for its impressive menu and polished service. The sushi menu features a variety of fish flown in from Japan's Toyosu Market, offering classic favorites like salmon and tuna as well as unique options such as bluenose trevally and sea robin.
Uchi Dallas is one of those places that somehow lives up to the hype—every single time. The food is always incredible, with flavors that are unexpected in the best way. It’s the kind of spot that works just as well for a business dinner as it does for a night out with friends. The food is next level, the drinks are spot-on, and the whole vibe is modern but still welcoming. You can also eat upstairs at their other concept, and honestly, both are amazing. Highly recommend if you’re into food that surprises you—in a really good way. EVERYTHING is REALLY good.

I usually don't write reviews for restaurants, and I never expected to find such a great sushi place in Dallas! This place has very high quality sushi. It was one of the best sushi I've ever tasted including all the sushi place I've ever been to in NYC, Japan, and Korea included. My server, Dani, was super knowledgeable and was genuinely a nice person. The dessert was also very interesting as well. I would definitely visit again if I'm in Dallas!

Don’t even know where to start. Service was great, from the valet parking to the chef, they provide a blanket, cause I was cold. So now food, we went with the tasting menu, that’s like 17 courses. It allows to try a little of everything, some sushi, but also some great dishes from the kitchen, like the curry lobster. Taylor did a great job with his selection, all were amazing, he closed with a Waugh one gorgeous!!! Drinks are all kinda narrow to the sake section, ordered the litchi and mango martini, loved the Litchi one, felt the mango needed more mango, but might just me be. Thanks Lali for the service. Desserts were interesting, I believe the presentation can be better, but once you combine all the pieces, the flavor it’s great. Make sure to make a reservation, makes life better.

After having tried both Uchiko and Uchibā (Uchi sister restaurants) in Austin, we had to try Uchi in Dallas. It did not disappoint. We had the “somakase” which is a cool little option they have if you want to try multiple things but are worried that the chef’s tasting may be too little or too much food but also don’t really want to make decisions. Essentially the way it works is that your server will choose dishes for you based on your hunger level, budget, and preferences. You can do as many or as few as you’d like and if there is something you really like you can just ask for more of it. The service at the Uchi restaurants is always top notch and we love how everyone works together as one cohesive unit marking the service appear seamless from the delivery of the dishes to the clearing of plates and ensuring your beverages are always full. The food is timed perfectly so that the wait between courses is neither too long or too short. Empty plates are taken immediately after you have finished so that they are not sitting on the table for long periods of time. Service is smooth, efficient, and friendly and never seems cold or rushed. The food makes this one of our favorite restaurants to dine in as we always thoroughly enjoy our meals here. The food is based in Japanese cuisine with interesting twists and flavor combinations. Overall an excellent experience. Atmosphere: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Overall Value: 5/5 Total: 5/5 Price: $$$$ (prices vary based on what you order and how much you eat. One of the best fine dining places in Dallas. Cocktail list is small but very good. Highly recommend the Lychee Martini. They have a separate vegetarian menu. Uchi salad was very flavorful. Also recommend the crispy tofu maki, spicy crunchy and shag. Mango tapioca was great as well.

We came to celebrate our anniversary and as always, Uchi delivered an amazing experience and a memorable night. Our server Lalo was energetic and very nice, and very accommodating to our shellfish allergy and ensured that every dish brought out was prompted with a shellfish free mention. After a few drinks, we decided on the somakase and Lalo crafted the perfect tasting menu for us. He might be a mind reader because every dish suited our taste buds perfectly. The tuna and salmon flights with otoro were incredibe and melt in your mouth, and the mushroom rice in the sizzling hot bowl were absolutely delicious. And top it all, the fried milk dessert was a lovely way to finish out a wonderful meal experience. The ambiance and decor are classy and fun, and this restaurant continues to be a special delight for any occasion worth celebrating. The free valet also made parking a breeze and they were very friendly and prompt. Thank you Lalo and all the wonderful staff at Uchi!
