Nestled along the picturesque shores of White Rock Lake, The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is a stunning 66-acre retreat that offers visitors a vibrant escape from the urban hustle. This botanical paradise features an array of colorful gardens, expansive lawns, and lush groves filled with pecan trees, magnolias, cherry blossoms, and azaleas. It's truly a feast for the senses!
The Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden is one of the most beautiful and peaceful places I’ve ever visited. Spread across 66 acres along White Rock Lake, it’s full of lush greenery, vibrant flowers, shaded walkways, and relaxing water features. Every corner feels like a photo moment, from buzzing bees and colorful blooms to quiet, tree-lined paths and sculptures tucked among the plants. It’s perfect for families, couples, or anyone who just wants a calm day outdoors. The Jonsson Color Garden and Red Maple Rill are stunning highlights, and even with some areas under construction, the gardens still look incredible. Definitely wear comfy shoes, bring water, and go early for parking. The gift shop is adorable, full of garden-themed décor and souvenirs. The Arboretum also hosts amazing seasonal events like Dallas Blooms in spring and the Pumpkin Village in fall, such we attended today. It’s worth every penny of the ticket price, a must visit spot in Dallas for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone who needs a peaceful escape. 🌸

I love it here! I came for the autumn festival. It’s a beautiful walk in nature. Would definitely come back for their Christmas event! I would recommend walking shoes, and plan to stay for a few hours. There’s a few cafes you can dine at as well. We saw a lot of people with picnic blankets and their own food or crafts, which would also be a great idea when visiting.
Emily F — Google review
Took the family a few times now. Fall is beautiful with cooler temps and changing leaves. Their “12 days of Christmas” event held during the holidays is a must see. At night with all the decorations is a neat experience. Day visits we’ve seen bald eagles, falcons and all sorts of wildlife out there including coyotes early in the morning streaking through the empty open grass area!
Hingle M — Google review
Despite a bit of weekend rain, our experience was absolutely fantastic. The venue was remarkably clean, the facilities (including accessible bathrooms) were clearly well-maintained, and the low crowd levels created a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere. It was the perfect setting for a family outing, allowing us to fully enjoy the gorgeous autumn scenery and capture some great fall pictures.
Krizia A — Google review
The botanical garden is a wonderful place to experience silence, stillness, and peace. The staff is attentive and makes sure you enjoy your visit, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. However, drinks and food are a bit expensive, so it is a good idea to bring your own water. Overall, this place is excellent for spending quality time with family, disconnecting from stress, and appreciating nature in a calm environment.
Luis O — Google review
We love going to the arboretum as a relaxing exercise opportunity. We always see a lot of work in progress. Our only recommendation would be to offer more ADA friendly tours. During our last visit we were 4 minutes late for the departure of the cart and although there was no one on the cart or waiting the driver was unable to accommodate us citing “strict” new management. This made enjoying it with an elderly family member very challenging.
Ale — Google review
Beautiful and peaceful place to spend a few hours in nature. The gardens are full of vibrant flowers, water features, and shaded walking paths. It’s a relaxing spot, but be prepared for lots of walking. You’ll see everything from buzzing bees and wasps to families with young kids, couples taking photos, and flower-loving retirees soaking it all in. There’s a good mix of open lawns and more secluded, shady spots with streams and ponds. Great for nature lovers, photographers, or just a calm day out. Definitely bring water, wear comfy shoes, and maybe some bug spray — the insects are part of the experience! 🌺🦋🌿
Blayz B — Google review
Such a beautiful place to walk around on a nice day. Granted it’s still hot outside, but there’s plenty of shade to keep cool enough. LOVED the fall exhibit! So glad we were able to visit while it’s going on.

Reunion Tower is a renowned observation deck that offers stunning 360-degree city views, light shows, and a gift shop. It's a popular choice for couples seeking unique experiences in Dallas. While dining options are currently unavailable due to renovations, visitors can still enjoy day-and-night viewing with adult tickets priced at $24 each. Additionally, there's an exclusive 'Love is in the air package' that includes VIP elevator service, complimentary sparkling wine, and commemorative Reunion Tower flute glasses.
The view of Dallas from the top is absolutely stunning! My wife and I had a day out and decided to visit Reunion Tower. We arrived around 6:30 PM, just in time to enjoy a lively Mexican dance performance at the top, such a fun surprise! We stayed to watch the sunset, which made the whole experience even more magical. I highly recommend buying your tickets in advance, you will saves money and makes entry quick. Upon arrival, you can even have your picture taken for free, which is a nice touch. The elevator ride to the top is smooth and takes you straight up in no time. Parking, we parked close by from the tower paid $10 for 4 hours.
Muntakimur R — Google review
Reunion Tower was a pretty cool experience. Offers 360 degree views and a great view of the city. While not the highest observation deck we’ve been to it was still a fun experience. One unique thing about this observation deck is that it gives you history on the assassination of JFK along with a perfect view of the building where the shooter was. Overall not the most exciting observation deck if you’ve been to other cities like New York or Chicago and not something I’d come specifically for but if you happen to be in town and have some free time it’s worth checking out.
M I — Google review
Reunion Tower is such a unique Dallas experience! Parking is pretty easy with garages and lots nearby, and if you want extra convenience, you can valet through the hotel it’s attached to. Once you head up to the 50th floor, the views are incredible. The observation deck gives you a full 360° walk-around view of the city, and it’s designed so you can enjoy both the indoor space and the outdoor terrace. There are tons of opportunities to take photos. whether you want skyline shots, sunset views, or just fun pictures with family and friends. The space is well-kept, staff are helpful, and the whole vibe feels memorable. Overall, it’s definitely worth a visit for the panoramic views and photo opportunities!
Venita N — Google review
This is a must visit landmark in Dallas offers an 360 degree view from its lollipop style observation deck. The city skyline is a sight to behold, especially breathtaking during sunset or at night when the lights illuminate the city. The interactive displays provide an engaging and educational experience, while the friendly staff enhances the overall visit. A special mention goes to Willie, the elevator operator, whose humor, knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm make the experience truly memorable. I sincerely hope his boss recognizes his contributions and considers giving him a raise which he truly deserves it. Whether you’re a local showcasing the city to friends or a visitor exploring Dallas for the first time, Reunion Tower offers an unforgettable experience with its stunning views and positive atmosphere.
Chunyao C — Google review
Parking is horrendous. No good parking directions. The construction going on around the tower and the hotel is confusing making it hard to get into. Once inside the hotel you are in the convention hall and very little clear signage directing you to the tower entrance. $19 dollars per person to go up an elevator and walk around for just a few minutes is not very economical. The only reason I agreed is because it was what my son wanted to do for his Birthday. The views were ok, but not really what I was hoping for. The one redeeming factor (the only reason I am willing give 3 stars instead of 1) is the staff in the tower was very warm, friendly and inviting. Was able to strike up a good conversation with a couple of them and they were amazing. The staff at the Hyatt was also great and directed me a much easier way back to our parking spot using a tunnel. It was a nice walk back.
Jeremy G — Google review
The view from this high altitude mesmerizes us as we enter the top of the tower. We spend quality time there. Specifically at the sunset time :) One thing recommended: They will ask you to take photos while entering the elevator. Take as many as possible because they will email you all, but you must purchase at least one. That will cost 25-30.
Dewan R — Google review
Had a good time at the reunion tower. Great views of the downtown and pretty much the city around. Spent some time to get the evening views with all the lights. Not overcrowded at all. If you’re in dallas you should definitely check it out. Valet parking is available. Get tickets in advance.
Atika H — Google review
I was here last week and had a great experience. It's got the best view of Dallas. The bartender was amazing! He made me a special cocktail that was simply fantastic. The food was delicious too. I will surely be back.

Nature & Parks
Klyde Warren Park is a vibrant urban park located in the heart of Downtown Dallas. It offers a variety of activities and events, including food trucks during lunchtime, arts and music performances, fitness classes, and children's events. The park was created as a central gathering space for the city and features a spacious lawn surrounded by a tree-lined pedestrian promenade.
It was an amazing experience at this park. It offers a variety of fun activities, especially for family and kids. A big water fountain and sprinklers for kids to play is a prime attraction. It has a lot of play spots, ground to relax, food trucks etc. A very good spot for picnic, time to spend with family or to stay relaxed. I drive nearly 20 miles to go the park, and play with my kid. Very near to US75 and just a small detour takes u to the park, making commute very easy.
Anand G — Google review
It was a neat little walkway to the water/light show. They play music while the water and lights are going. Great place to go relax from all the city life. Its more peaceful than I thought it would be being in the middle of downtown. Kids were running around in the water and having a great time! Wonderful place. There were a few food trucks there as well.
Ashley S — Google review
The park is beautiful! There is a water area for children that has games a big lawn and also the bathroom is very clean. While across the street they have a water area for dogs to enjoy as well. The view is beautiful and a nice place to relax and enjoy the view. I would definitely check this place out with the lights. They also have events there. Just don’t drive scooters on that block they’re not allowed in the park, so if you use them you have to park across the street.
Carolina R — Google review
It was our first time coming to klyde Warren Park and my daughters and I loved it. There was a lot to do. My daughters had fun playing in the fountains and playground. There is a lot of shade by the food trucks so it was perfect to sit on a table and grab a bite. There is also board games for the kids to play. So much to do we will definitely be back soon😊
Jennifer P — Google review
Klyde Warren Park is such a cool spot for families in downtown Dallas! We visited on a Wednesday night and loved the atmosphere. There were a few families out enjoying the evening and a live musician performing, which made it feel lively but still relaxed. Our kids had the best time playing in the splash pad, and it was the perfect way to let them burn energy while we hung out. We stayed for about an hour and could have easily stayed longer. I just wish Fort Worth had something like this open to the public!
Estreitta K — Google review
Klyde Warren Park is a 5-acre urban green space right in downtown Dallas, built over the Woodall Rodgers Freeway. What makes it great: It’s really well designed—with lawns, a children’s playground, a dog park, water features, free public events (yoga, concerts, etc.). Beautiful setting: connects Uptown and the Arts District; great views; clean and well‐maintained.
Shahida B — Google review
Best Park to outing with family in weekends. Food trucks around, water fountains, and nice green places in the middle of downtown.
Raul M — Google review
Nice park, it is hard to find parking that's a down fall. Other then that its a great little park. I dont know if its always so full during the week but this weekend it was super full. Id try to maybe go during the week maybe its less crowded. Other then that it a different park its nice and the water show is so neat. Will definitely try again to see how it is during the week maybe less crowded and parking available.

Dallas gem. Beautiful lake with lots of wild life in and around the water. Well paved trail around the lake with ample room for walking, running, and/or biking. Port o potties about every mile or so along the trail that are cleaned regularly. Several dog parks along the trail.

Absolutely loved the lake and the trail loop! Being out of town, it was an amazing experience with the good weather, the amazing cyclist and walkers/runners, and the views were just beautiful. I walked the whole loop that was 9.7 miles and loved every moment. If you’re looking for an easy and fun adventure and find yourself in the Dallas area, well worth to check out. 10/10 recommend.

The Dallas Museum of Art, located in the Arts District, is a cultural gem with an extensive collection spanning ancient times to the present day. Currently, it features 'Minds Eye,' an exhibition showcasing over 100 works on paper by renowned artists like Degas and Van Gogh.
A must visit place for anyone who appreciates art, and those even slightly interested. It's free, and has an amazing collection that ranges from classical to modern from all across the world. There is even a statue garden, as well as limited time exhibits. It's almost too much to see in one day, and is definitely worth multiple visits.
Matchewleez C — Google review
Seems like a really cool place, unfortunately we got there only one hour before closing. I would suggest planning at least 2 hours for your visit. It’s free, that’s really nice! Only thing is that when I checked in the lady at the desk did not mention anything about my purse/water bottle/umbrella but later a guard asked to leave because we hadn’t checked them and acted very rudely as if we had deliberately broken rules, it was a bummer since this required us to go all the way back to the entrance to check them and by the time the museum was 15-10 minutes to closing.
Jennelle H — Google review
This museum is stunning! There is so much to see. You can easily spend hours lost looking around. It has such a huge variety of art and artifacts that everyone can find something to enjoy. I highly recommend stopping by here when in Dallas.
S B — Google review
The Dallas Museum of Art is a world-class, free-entry museum in the heart of the Dallas Arts District, home to over 25,000 works spanning from ancient to contemporary art. Its galleries cover everything from Mediterranean antiquities and Asian art to modern masterpieces, and special exhibits keep things fresh. The building is light, spacious, visitor-friendly, and its location makes it easy to pair with nearby spots like Klyde Warren Park. If you enjoy art and culture, it’s well worth a few hours of your time.

Nice Art museum with artifacts from all over the world. Best of all it’s free. Staff were helpful and friendly. I went on a Saturday and it was not too busy. Very close to the DART station so it’s easy to get to from different parts of DFW area.

Awesome place, free admission- we paid 2 dollars for street parking (museum parking is 20 bucks). 4 stories lots to see! They do have elevators but honestly I liked going in the stairs. If you have kids please do not let them get close too the paintings because security will yell at you.

Trinity Overlook Park is a small but charming green space located on West Commerce Street, offering stunning views of the Downtown Dallas skyline and the Margaret McDermott Bridge over the Trinity River. The park also provides a unique perspective of the Dallas Floodway, which is a collaborative effort between the City of Dallas and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to manage floods and enhance recreational activities.
First time coming here to see the fireworks gosh I really love the view and it gets pack over here to see the fireworks. Highly recommended to come here if you like see the view of downtown!

Great entrance and view of a very significant portion of the Trinity River. Perfect for walking, running and biking.
Youssef A — Google review
A great pit stop before entering the main thoroughfare of Dallas. Definitely worth a short visit or perhaps a pause in a trip to take in the view of the city and its bridges. The area seems to be under renovation with nearby apartments being built, so this might be a more welcoming area with permanent local residents in the future. 1-hour parking is enough to check out the river walk and walk on the bridge. The parking lot had some broken glass, trash and drivers who sped through the lot to get to the main road, so I chose to park there for a short 10 minute run rather than parking for the full hour.
John I — Google review
The Trinity Overlook serves as a neighbor "pocket park" providing access to the Dallas Floodway and the Trinity Skyline Trail. The Overlook has parking spaces for twelve, views of downtown Dallas and of the Margaret McDermott Bridge to the south. Residents of the nearby neighborhoods and business districts can enjoy this special place for hiking, biking, picnics, photography, and casual family outings such as on July 4th.

The view is inspiring with open space and skyscrapers in a distance. The location is between two major bridges and there are bike paths and jogging track along Trinity River. Limited parking is available. Be watchful for the unexpected turn from the major road.

Bridge
The Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge is a striking cable-stayed bridge in Dallas, designed by renowned architect Santiago Calatrava and opened in 2012. Named after philanthropist Margaret Hunt Hill, the bridge features a distinctive 120-meter central arch pylon and is part of a large-scale redevelopment project along the Trinity River. The bridge has become an iconic landmark in Dallas, offering impressive views from the Trinity Skyline Trail underneath it.
The history around this area is significant as it used to be the Trinity River Squatters Park in the early 1900s and a place that Clyde Barrow of the Bonnie and Clyde fame would grow up after his family moved to Dallas. Today, this gorgeous bridge is a sight to behold with a beautiful Dallas skyline in the horizon.

Haven't seen this type of architecture bridge. Different from other hanging bridges. There also a walking bridge in parallel to this bridge. You can enjoy the scenic view especially during summer nights. Do not park the car on the walking bridge.ifnyiu are going to stay beyond 12 am as the bridge gate will be closed till 5am. For children there is a play area on the walking bridge.

Coming from out of the state, this was a beautiful place to visit and take a picture. Loved the lights at night time! There is a lot of space at night, but if you come here during the day I can see how parking can be an issue.

Very nice area. Seems to be a popular fishing spot with the creek running into the lake. Peaceful and tranquil. Public space with the? Only thing being panned is fish, with license and regulations for proper size. Everyone was licensed and appreciable, willing to help each other. Very nice for bicycles to start and walking.

White Rock Park is such a beautiful and peaceful spot to enjoy nature right in the city. The lake is gorgeous, with boating and plenty of ducks swimming around, which makes it feel so calming and refreshing. It’s the perfect place to relax with family, bring a picnic, or take a walk with your pets since it’s very pet-friendly. The atmosphere is laid-back and full of natural beauty — truly a pleasant escape from the busyness of everyday life. The only downside is that the bathrooms could be cleaner, but honestly, that’s a small issue compared to how relaxing and enjoyable the park is overall. If you’re looking for a spot to unwind, watch the water, and spend quality time with loved ones, White Rock Park is absolutely worth visiting.

I had a wonderful leisure time with my family and my bike. I couldn't believe I hadn't visited this lake park before, especially since it's almost in the center of Dallas. It was soothing to see so many people fishing in the designated fishing area, bikers riding in the biking zone, and kids playing with their parents. It was an amazing experience! :)

Nasher Sculpture Center is a 55,000-square-foot facility in Dallas designed by architect Renzo Piano. It showcases the private sculpture collection of Raymond and Nancy Nasher, featuring over 300 modern and contemporary sculptures from artists like Rodin, Matisse, Koons, and more. The center also boasts a lush 1.4-acre garden with around twenty-five additional sculptures.
The lovely Nasher Sculpture Center in the Dallas Arts District hosts their “Til Midnight” event once a month between March and October. It’s free entry to the gallery and the sculpture center, live music, and a family-friendly movie. The museum usually closes at 5. I have been dozens of times and seen a lot of cool stuff here. The gallery always rotates so there is something new to see! The docents are very nice!

I went with my family during the Free First Saturdays event and we had a blast. There were interesting sculptures and the outdoor great as well. It’s not too big, but has enough pieces to engage and to spark your imagination. Love it!
Sunny D — Google review
Go here, take a friend just don’t let them run through the grass, it freaks people out! Free Saturday walkabout for an out of town art lover, making her way in the arts district. I went solo but it has a kissable, hand holding vibe. The Nasher can only continue to grow from the somewhat earnest sapling nature to a sequoia (apologies Texas the biggest trees are in California) towering over and dominating Dallas culture. For me, I’d say “The Bronze Age, responsible for the wheel, writing systems, irrigation and the Nasher!
Angela — Google review
‘Til Midnight at the Nasher was my first experience at the sculpture center. This is probably one of the coolest spots (and crowds) that you can find in the downtown area. If you’re looking for an immersive and crisp way to experience art, you found it. The building’s interior was cleanly and tastefully built. Modern white oak floors showcase the sculptures. The courtyard is spectacular as well. Walk to the back where an exquisite weeping willow and water feature was perfectly placed between sculptures. Best outdoor live music I’ve heard in a long time. They also play movies every 3rd Saturday of the month in the months of March-October. Applause to the artists, architects and Nasher staff. Well done and thank you for a wonderful evening!
Christopher K — Google review
You may be disappointed if you have experienced other larger sculpture gardens in the nation. This garden is beautiful, but it's more like the backyard of larger estate than sculpture garden. There were very few sculptures in the garden, and the interior space only had 3 pieces. It's free on the first Saturday of the month.
HB D — Google review
The Nasher Sculpture Center is a lovely, peaceful spot in the heart of Dallas—perfect for a quiet stroll among some cool and unique sculptures. The outdoor sculpture garden is definitely the highlight: it's beautifully maintained, serene, and a great place to take your time and soak in the art. That said, the indoor spaces felt a bit sparse during my visit, and the overall size of the center is on the smaller side. The admission price feels fair given the experience, but don’t expect to spend hours here. Still, it’s a great stop if you enjoy sculpture and want a relaxing cultural break downtown.

Several lovely galleries of sculpture and designs showing a combination of permanent and temporary exhibitions. The outside sculpture park has amazing works, but made of us a mosquito feast. We regretted leaving the path to see the Serra. The revolving sculptural seats at the front door left us in a better mood after our visit.

This park is a fantastic spot, especially for senior and engagement portrait sessions! The open areas provide plenty of space to spread out, making it perfect not only for photos but also for picnics, playing frisbee, or just relaxing outdoors. Whether you’re looking for a casual hangout or a beautiful backdrop for portraits, this park has something for everyone. One of my favorite features is the charming gazebo and water fountain, which add a classic, elegant touch to the setting. These elements create lovely focal points for photos or just peaceful spots to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The fountain’s gentle sound adds to the calm atmosphere of the park. Located near Highland Park and Lakeside Park, this location benefits from being close to other scenic areas, making it easy to combine visits or sessions in multiple spots. The Dallas World Aquarium, located in the Historic West End District, is a captivating aquatic wonderland housed in a refurbished warehouse. It features diverse marine life from around the globe, including stingrays, piranhas, electric eels, poison dart frogs, and Orinoco crocodiles. Visitors can stroll through a 20,000-gallon exhibit with a glass tunnel where sharks swim overhead.
Unique and full of surprises. It is not the biggest aquarium you will ever see. But what you will see is amazing. They pack more awesomeness into every square foot. It feels immersive but safe. You have the different climates and geographic homes for the critters that are so well thought up and they flow from habitat to habitat well. The penguins are worth the price of admission alone. I felt like I saw it all, but if I go back I will see something new in every enclosure.
Nicholas L — Google review
The aquarium is wonderful. Interesting varieties of amazing fish, corals, birds. The shark tank is a fun place for kids and adults seeing shark swim over your head and all around you is mesmerizing and there’s a huge sword fish too. The only thing is the aquarium needs some tender loving care the bathrooms are old and not clean. The whole place needs a face lift, it’s a little dirty and stinky around the edges. The walkway outside between the front entrance and exit is pretty but when you walk through it there’s an overwhelming smell of urine. The whole outside can use a good power wash. I went several years ago when it looked newer and smelled better. The management needs to do a better job with the place. But it’s still worth visiting there are also gorgeous tropical plants.
Lidia M — Google review
Fantastic! We can not wait to go back and explore it even further. We were short on time so we were unable to see all of the aquarium unfortunately. However, from the moment we arrived and on the ramp walkway to get your tickets, it was enjoyable. You really feel like you are immersed in some of the habitats the way they utilized the greenery and fog machines with mist. It does get a little humid in some of those areas so make sure you hydrate and continue to do so. Staff was very nice and helpful as well!

Holy packed. I get we went on a Sunday midday but they can definitely slow down how quickly they're letting people in. You have 0 leg room, there are countless people stopping to take selfies with birds, and very minimum workers on the floor as you go through. Half the information cards we couldn't look at because of the swarm of people. The price we paid was way more than the experience we got as at least at other aquariums you can look at stuff without smelling the nasle cavity of a stranger. It hit the point we were like we just want to leave but we paid $40 per person (after tax.) Outside of that we had fun but other museums, and events we went to we were at least breath during as they had staggered entry.
Johnny S — Google review
The exhibits were eye catching a d easy to see. Requires a lot of walking but plenty of aces to sit if need be. Restrooms are available as well. The exhibits are explained in detail, and plenty of info is available. There are a variety of birds and see animals in particular. The refreshments and snacks are affordable instead of asked up. The restaurant food is affordable and actually tastes. Especially the pasta. The servers were both pretty and friendly. This is a place good for families, solo visitors, couples, etc... the location is right on the tourist line and easily accessible. It is worth visiting multiple times. For locals, get a membership or purchase it with a city tour if possible. For visitors to Dallas, this is a MUST SEE.

We've been traveling the US for 7 years now. But this place has just entered my top 5 favorite places. When we pulled up, I was skeptical about the place. But upon entering we found the most beautiful place of plants, fish, birds, and monkeys. It seemed to go on forever. Super big props to the designer because they went above and beyond of filling every inch of the building and making the habitats perfect for each animal.
Kourtney T — Google review
I love aquariums and this one didn’t disappoint. While it didn’t have as many large ocean style tanks as many of the other aquariums I’ve been to, it was still a great experience. Like a little oasis or getaway that makes you feel like you’re outside of the city without having to leave. There are lots of restrooms spread throughout so you’re never too far from one. There are also lots of restaurants and even resting areas for people with children or babies that may need a place to take a break. You can prepay for parking and you’ll be able to stay in the lot until 5pm. There is not time limit to the time you can spend in the aquarium as well. Overall great experience, would go again.

Great museum for the family both for those local or visiting! The process of reserving tickets online is a breeze. Everyone in my family has their favorite exhibit and although it has been a little crowded each time we've gone, it's generally possible to view or do the things we want to. Staff is always pleasant, informative and helpful during our time there. Parking is straightforward and we appreciate the discounted rate as museum members. This past visit, we took the opportunity to view the newly remodeled children's area downstairs. It was nice and pretty and all...but I would be lying if I didn't say that I was just ever-so-slightly disappointed: The use of space for is great (particularly the outdoor area) but where has all the pretend play gone? There is not a trace of it left. Also gone is any local flair that was once there. This could be a children's museum area literally anywhere in the world. The area overall seems like they wanted a "sensory" sort of vibe but even in that way, it comes up short. That all being said, the outdoor portion (with it's pretty generous shade, climbing wall, really cool water table/feature) and the LEGO table (with the camera/AI photo generator) were big hits with my kids.

Had a great time with my teen boys. They enjoyed the exhibits and interactions. Definitely recommend! Plan for at least 2 hours. We got our tickets online and chose the time to arrive. There's a splash zone in front of the building; young kids were really enjoying it.

Me and my boyfriend love to come here for a fun date and it was pretty fun. We went on a Thursday so we thought it would be less busy but there were a lot of field trips so it was quite busy. A lot of the interactions didn't work or were broken down for the moment. I understand that there were a lot of visitors and kids that day but at the same time should have been a bit more prepared. It's still a fun activity at the end of the day and the service is always wonderful.

It's one of the most enjoyable places I've been to with my 14 month baby. We spend a quality bonding time in the children's area until he was done playing, then we visited the other sections in the museum. The science and natural exhibits are amazing, educational, and very enjoyable.

This is a really awesome Museum for any age! We were going mainly for my 3 nephews ages 3-5 and honestly the only thing they really enjoyed were the lower level kids Museum where they could play-they weren't much interested in anything else! There is lots of exhibits and lots to read which kids that age could care less about! But honestly if you're wanting to just entertain your kids you can go to a park for free! Now as teens and adults I thought it was really cool but we had to hurry through the entire thing bc the kids (3-6yrs) old would get bored very easily but what I saw and read was very interesting and informational! The pics below are of the entire kids part! Just so you know! Even with young kids expect to spend 1.5-3 hours here easily

Located atop Restoration Hardware's design gallery in Dallas, RH Rooftop Restaurant offers an elegant dining experience with stunning views. The chic rooftop locale features fountains, chandeliers, and a terrace, creating a tranquil ambiance for patrons. The menu includes elevated comfort food and a selection of wines to complement the dining experience. With lush elegance and above-average dishes like truffle fries, it's an ideal spot for a special night out or leisurely brunch.
One of the few places we have visited where i cant find a single thing not done right. Impromptu lunch on a Saturday, we were seated quickly. The server Carlos was great, service was fast and the food delicious. The hamburger was spot on with crispy fries (had to be ordered separately) and the Chinese chicken salad wad fresh and fulfilling. The Rose Spritz was very good too.

Very aesthetic rooftop restaurant with consistency in food. Great area to sit outdoors and take your drink. 🍹 Customer service is great - very attentive. I have dined here for brunch and dinner. The menu stays the same. My one concern: I got the chicken club sandwich and the meat for the chicken was dark brown. 🍗 It didn’t look right. I think it may have been a one-off, however I wouldn’t expect that for what I am paying. Their Spritz are delicious and refreshing for summer. The fried chicken burger is delicious. And their dessert cookies are soft and warm! The truffle fries are a MUST. 🍟 Overall, great place to celebrate a birthday! 🎉 Food is usually good and consistent in taste. They celebrate birthdays with a candle with dessert. 🍪

An impressive view from the rooftop of this beautiful aesthetic restaurant filled with nature throughout as well as a water fountain flowing in the center providing that peaceful sound as if you are outside eating. The food, was delicious, where we enjoyed the lobster caviar, steak, chicken, and truffle fries where each was created with such detail and design to make your mouth water and crave for more. Everything was cooked to perfection. Customer service was great making sure our waters are filled and always checking up on us. Overall great experience and delicious food, however I felt like the high price that the food is tended to be is not worth it so felt like it slightly overpriced for that amount of food.

American restaurant
Nestled in the vibrant Harwood District of Dallas, Marie Gabrielle Restaurant and Gardens is a breathtaking 1.5-acre oasis that perfectly marries nature with upscale dining. This New American restaurant offers a delightful café experience during weekdays, serving breakfast, lunch, and refreshments amidst its lush gardens and serene reflecting pool. The venue's enchanting design features towering river birch trees and beautifully landscaped hedges, making it an ideal setting for special events like weddings or intimate proposals.
Planning a destination wedding while being out of town is no small task, but Ali and the entire team at Marie Gabrielle made the process so seamless for us. From start to finish, they were incredibly helpful, flexible, and genuinely excited to bring our vision to life — and they absolutely did. Let’s talk about the food… because WOW. You don’t usually expect to be raving about wedding food, but our guests are still talking about the steak with chimichurri. Every detail was so intentional, and they gave us so much freedom to make the day our own, while also making sure everything ran like clockwork. They were so gracious with our vendors, even allowing early load-in, and their team handled every curveball (including the weather) with total calm and care. We had a micro wedding of 40 guests, and every single person was blown away by how stunning the venue looked, inside and out. The drinks were amazing, the bartenders were so kind, and Kevin went above and beyond to make sure the entire night flowed perfectly. We are eternally grateful to the entire Marie Gabrielle team. Our wedding day was a dream, and it wouldn’t have been possible without them.

I attended my niece's outdoor wedding and it was such a nice experience. The wedding, reception, photo booth, cake, dance floor, and drink stations were all located around the gardens and pool areas. The food and service was really nice. There is a large chess set and another large checkers set in the gardens. I had to remove one star mainly because the parking lot under the gardens was hard to find. The restaurant itself is alright. Some of the food took a long time to bring out. I feel bad for all the surrounding buildings and neighbors. The music was so loud and I'm sure it bothers some of them. But, overall, a very memorable experience.

We had the BEST and most BEAUTIFUL experience for our October 2021 wedding at Marie Gabrielle for just over 100 guests! We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in the garden at Marie Gabrielle and everything was so incredibly beautiful. Also, THE FOOD was amazing! Honestly tasted better the day of the wedding than during our tasting months before! We couldn’t believe how much our guests ate, which we couldn’t blame them because everything tasted so incredible! The team at Marie Gabrielle went through a few staffing changes throughout the 16 months or so from when we booked our date to the actual wedding day, but the team collectively made sure we were taken care of during each handover. The online system that the Harwood company uses to manage events makes it super easy to communicate with the planning team and keep track of documents, decisions, and invoices. The kitchen and wait staff did amazing at executing on the day of and made sure to work so well with our wedding coordinator so that everything was done in a timely manner. We could have not been happier with how our entire wedding day went at Marie Gabrielle and will remember it forever.

Costs an absurd amount of money to rent out for a proposal that you get nothing for. No staff was available during the time we were there, nothing was preventing others from walking in (including the group of kids that fortunately decided to leave when we showed up), and we were not provided with the food and beverage that we ordered as part of this. Not only was this not provided, the company has failed to refund the tax and service fee for this food and beverage after repeatedly asking for this. Pictures turned out nice though at least, no thanks to Marie Gabrielle.

The Dallas Farmers Market is a bustling marketplace in the heart of Downtown, offering an array of farm-fresh produce, meats, honey, and specialty foods. Visitors can explore The Shed Pavilion for organic foods and handcrafted items on Saturdays and Sundays. Additionally, The Market Shops provide a daily food hall experience with artisanal foods. This market aims to promote a healthier lifestyle by supporting local agriculture through its diverse offerings.
My husband and I just had an amazing experience! The grilled cheese guy is incredible! I asked him for his top sandwich pick, and he recommended the best choice. Not only was his suggestion spot on, but he was also super friendly. We stopped here for delicious cheeses and were impressed. Additionally, the people who set up the pumpkin displays did an amazing job! Just a heads up: it's pay-to-park, but it was worth it.

Absolutely loved my time at the Dallas Farmers Market! From the bustling energy of Sunday afternoon to the delightful variety of vendors, this place is a gem in the heart of Dallas. Inside, the 26,000 sq ft food hall and artisanal vendor space is alive with cafés, local restaurants, gift boutiques, and specialty food shops open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. On the weekends, The Shed opens as an open-air pavilion (Saturdays 9–5, Sundays 10–5) where farmers, ranchers, and food artisans bring seasonal produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and more. The variety is impressive, from fresh fruits and vegetables to artisan crafts and made-to-order meals. Add in live music, community vibes, the joy of sampling, and friendly local faces, and every turn feels like a discovery. The only downside? Parking. It’s on-site and paid, but during peak times (like Sunday afternoons), it’s nearly impossible to find a spot. Arrive earlier or be prepared to walk a bit. But truly, this place is a must-visit for locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re a foodie, lover of local crafts, or just in the mood for a fun, sensory adventure, bring your appetite, your sense of wonder (and maybe your walking shoes).

Amazing experience at Dallas Farmers Market! I absolutely love visiting the Dallas Farmers Market — it’s one of my favorite weekend spots in the city. The atmosphere is so lively and welcoming, with a perfect mix of local farmers, food vendors, artisans, and small businesses. You can really feel the community vibe here. The produce section is always fresh, colorful, and full of variety. I’ve picked up everything from juicy peaches and organic greens to handmade honey and fresh flowers. The local farmers are super friendly and happy to share tips about their products or how they’re grown. Inside The Market building, there’s such a great range of food options. It’s the perfect place to come hungry and try a little bit of everything. The coffee spots and dessert stalls are a must-try too! Parking is pretty convenient, especially if you come earlier in the day. There’s plenty of shaded seating areas where you can relax, enjoy your food, and listen to live music on weekends. It’s also very clean and well maintained, which makes the overall experience even better. If you’re visiting Dallas or even a local looking for a fun and fresh weekend plan, the Dallas Farmers Market is a must-visit. It perfectly captures the local flavor, creativity, and spirit of the community. I always leave with a smile, full stomach, and a few new favorites to bring home! 🌿🍓🥖

A local, not so hidden gem, each Saturday and Sunday. The market place is filled with a variety of vendors, with farm fresh vegetables produce and a variety of handcrafted goods from Dallas farmers, creatives, chefs, artists, and locals. The French Room is a destination for fine dining located in the luxurious Hotel Adolphus, offering a timeless experience with chic decor and exquisite afternoon tea menu. The restaurant's opulent design takes guests back to 17th-century France with rococo architecture, cathedral ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and pastel-colored murals. Executive Chef Jason Weavers presents stunning dishes using seasonal ingredients and delicate preparations that match the grandeur of the surroundings.
We experienced the tradition of English tea time with the concept of French and British pastries paired with special Japanese teas in April. I guess the concept and menu change periodically. We went to the Cherry Blossom concept.🌸 Everything was avesome! It is a very stylish place where you can stop and calm down. Each recipe on the menu has been carefully selected and prepared. Both your eyes and your heart are full of beauties. 💕 Thanks for the quality service.✨

Such a fun treat for my mom’s birthday! Food was amazing and plenty of it, none of us left hungry. The service was great and we loved learning about the teas and pairings. Not somewhere I’d go back to with how expensive it is but loved it for a special event
Emily H — Google review
To be clear, this is my first High Tea experience. So I have nothing to compare it to. A few details to keep in mind, the French Room is INSIDE the Adolphus hotel, smack dab in the middle of downtown Dallas. Be prepared for traffic and some walking if you dont use their valet service. Now, for the fun stuff. I went with 3 other Ladies to celebrate our August birthdays. This experience was classy. It took me a while to figure out WHY it felt so different from another just restaurant lunch. 1. When I walked into the hotel to get direction to the French room, the desk lady was attentive, made eye contact, was friendly, nor was she on her phone. Now to be clear, seeing workers on their phone never really bothered me, we are addicted to them. But there was something so completely professional about the interaction, it left a positive impact. 2. Same thing once I got to the hostess stand. They were attentive, I was greeted by two individuals who were quick to say 'welcome'. They weren't on their phones and were not surrounded by a glob of waitstaff. 3. It is reservation based. They will not seat you till your whole party has arrived and they give you a 15 min grace period from your reservation. 4. This is dress coded. Business casual. Me and my party all wore dresses. It was fun to see everyone else at other tables dressed up also. It helped make such an elegant atmosphere and helped curate the experience. You went seeing anyone in pajamas. 5. The hotel was built in the early 1900s and was absolutely stunning with plenty of sitting and had a moody vibe. The architecture was beautiful and the French room was open, airy, and had beautiful light. 6. The food was yummy. You might be concerned that it won't be enough food. But I couldn't finish my last biscuit because I was so full. So trust me, it is enough. 7. They added candles to our cakes for our birthday! 8. When it came to the tea, we were given two options. Our server seemed well educated about tea, where it came from, what it would pair well with, and if it would taste well with sugar or/and creamer. 9. While we had a main server, all the waitstaff took care of us. I think there was about 5 on duty, and we interacted with each one. From filling our water, tea, or bussing our table. Our glasses were never empty. I can go on and on and on. But this was the best dining experience I have had in a LONG time.
Alexandria R — Google review
I went here with my mother and my great aunt and it was a wonderful experience! The food and teas were delicious, and the service provided made the experience truly memorable! Thank you sooo much to Jesus, Aly, and Emily who were so kind and attentive while we were there! You truly made it special!
Sara R — Google review
If you want to feel special, come to the French Room. You can tell the bartenders "I want what you would serve Beyonce". "Make me a very red / blue cocktail" *What's your favorite spirit cocktail factory tour?' And you're guaranteed to have a good conversation.
Ben G — Google review
Beautiful setting and delicious food. We went for A high tea on a weekday. It was quiet and slow. The food was all too notch. Nothing disappointed. The tea selection was excellent and the Adolphus is a beautiful hotel.
Joel — Google review
There’s a dress code per se according to the website but I was surprised patrons weren’t dressed more for High Tea. Men do not have to wear a sports coat/jacket and dress shirts can be short sleeve. The service is impeccable. I’m lactose intolerant and was given items specifically for my dietary restrictions which were delightfully delicious. The lighting is spacious and bright with views overlooking the AT&T plaza.

High tea at The French Room had been on my list for years, so my girlfriend and I decided to celebrate Lunar New Year there. Parking is valet-only in the garage. It is $12 with no validation. Once inside, just take the escalator up and walk straight ahead. We were seated right away, being the first table there. Our server was quick and attentive, bringing out bubbly, sandwiches, and hot tea as soon as we got settled. We also ordered the caviar flight and smoked salmon mini platter. After the savory bites, we were served sweet pastries. The experience itself was fun, and our server was friendly and helpful. But the food and desserts? Underwhelming. We wanted to love it, but for the price, it just didn’t live up to the hype.

We went on a Saturday and got in with our Pogo Pass. No issues and it wasn’t too busy! I was expecting it to just be a garden but there is much more included with your visit. You get to go into their indoor butterfly garden with TONS of butterflies. Very beautiful. Then we went into the garden and walked around and saw the fountain. There is also an assortment of reptiles, snakes, and bugs inside enclosures you can see. Definitely a lot to see for your 12$ admission.

Me & my daughter had the best first experience here. For starters Miss V or B (i might be saying it wrong) at the front desk were so helpful and kind. There is so much to do here & i wouldn’t have known without her. Garrison in the butterfly garden was very knowledgeable & patient with teaching us how to handle the butterflies. A big beautiful butterfly landed on my daughters locs right as he was teaching. I got the best pictures. Less than $20 to make her whole day & we spent hours there! The happiness it brought us was priceless. Perfect way to spend the day off with the one i love the most. We will definitely be back with friends

I visited for the first time yesterday and was a little underwhelmed with my experience. I decided to swing back through the butterfly house before leaving, and I met Garrison. He totally turned my experience into a great one! He was extremely knowledgeable on the insects, friendly, and an excellent conversationalist. He went above and beyond for me and it really made me feel special and turned my visit into a memorable one. He even taught me some really cool facts about the butterflies and moths! I will definitely be returning.

Located along the Trinity River in Dallas, the Trinity River Audubon Center is a 120-acre nature preserve and environmental education center that opened in 2008. It serves as an entry point to the expansive 6,000-acre Great Trinity Forest, offering visitors a chance to explore five miles of hiking trails through forests, Blackland prairies, and thriving wetlands. The center provides opportunities for bird-watching with over sixty species of birds and guided walks to discover local wildlife and vegetation.
We are here to attend a wedding which I think this is a great venue for it! Or if you are a natural lover, family with young children, this is the perfect place for you! They have education canters, trails and many other things and activities to do! Also great for wedding or special events up to maybe 120 people for indoor seating.

A lovely center with excellent trails and kind staff. My friend and I enjoyed walking the trails in search of birds. She has limited mobility and was grateful for the benches along the trail ( as was I). We were able to see some lifer birds on our trip and so many native Texas plants. The entrance to the center is a little confusing to find but otherwise it's amazing!

Very serene. Trails are great, not strenuous so pretty easy for anyone. Watch out for poison ivy if you step off the trail. It's on some trails, so tennis shoes recommended. Views are lovely and there's enough to hike for a good long walk. Saw more birds this time (my first time was in summer and later in the morning, so it was too hot for birds to be very active.) Thoroughly enjoyed, even in the rain.

A jewel just outside Dallas. Not enough people know about this beautiful place. It’s definitely worth the short trip south of downtown. I will say, however, that you don’t always see that many birds there. Sometimes more than others. But it’s always a pleasant and relaxing visit. Hiking, an amazing visitor center, and friendly, welcoming staff.

Came here for a standard quality water testing class and after the class we walked around. It was beautiful. There are multiple trails. We saw Herons and Egrets. Lots of mosquitoes though so bring spray. This is an underrated gem.

Today after lunch I visited Trinity River Audubon Center after flagging it in places I want to visit a while ago. Ten miles South of Downtown Dallas sits the 120+ acre former dumping site of tires, auto parts, trash and other unwanted waste that burned and was repurposed by the City of Dallas to the current iteration. It is now a natural habitat for birds and other wildlife open to the public Tuesday through Sunday 9am-4pm. The property houses a large main building with educational information explaining the importance of a nature and wildlife conservation space and water flow especially in a metropolitan area. There are a few miles of hiking trails(mostly flat land) comprised of natural dirt, crushed stone and low decks that keep you just above water to fully appreciate the space and understand its relevance. It is a great activity for people young and old who are new to the city or like me who have lived in the Dallas area my entire life. #trinityriverauduboncenter #audubon #dallas #DallasParks #wildlife #trinityriver #thingstodoindallastx

Large park! Lots of open land for any activity. We came right after Easter / I was disappointed that people didn’t seem to clean up well after themselves..there was a lot of plastic basket stuffing resembling grass near the pond so it can easily be ingested by the ducks. I did see some park maintenance cleaning along the grass but they did not bother to pick up any trash near the water & there’s a lot! A brick building is the only place that offers any shade from the sun. Didn’t go to check it out but there’s also a caged area for some type of sport.

Great little park in Oak Cliff - just south of Downtown Dallas. Lots of trees with some tables in the middle of the park. The company provides various options for private tours, including dessert, pizza, breakfast, and Italian dinner cruises.
Gondola adventures has been a staple of the lake Carolyn/Mandalay Canals area for years now! It’s a very awesome place where you can get a boat ride through the canals and have Gondoliers sing songs to you while you eat Italian food, sip champagne, and eat dessert! They also have proposal packages! And believe me it is a great option to get the bottle drop for your proposal where your significant other can read a note in a bottle before you propose. They also offer Drone and Photography to capture the moment! If you want something, a little more chill and low-key, they also own a boat rental company on the lake, where you can rent paddle boards, kayaks, and a duck/swan boats!

I had such a fun and memorable time with Gondola Adventures! From start to finish, the experience felt like a little escape right on the water. My gondolier, Woody, was incredible. His voice was absolutely amazing and gave the whole ride a true Italy vibe. He also had such great conversation, making it feel warm, comfortable, and personal the entire way. One of the highlights was the fresh charcuterie box paired with cold, sparkly apple cider. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and refreshing. It was the perfect addition to enjoy while taking in the peaceful surroundings. Between the beautiful setting, the authentic Italian feel, and Woody’s talent and hospitality, it was an unforgettable experience. If you’re looking for something unique, relaxing, and special to do, this is it. I would 100% do it again!

I had an excellent experience booking the Lumen Room. The team was highly accommodating when I mistakenly booked for the wrong date, swiftly assisting me in adjusting my reservation. The room was set up exactly as advertised, and I was especially appreciative that they allowed my photographer to utilize equipment from another room. I will certainly be booking with them again in the future.

Always a great experience booking The Lumen Room to host my photography clients. Straightforward booking, easy (human) communication as needed, beautiful spaces that have been well planned by people who understand photography and light. Have probably booked 100+ hours in their various spaces over the years, and will keep coming back.

This place never disappoints. They have two separate studio rooms with two different vibes so you can have your pick. They have several furniture and prop options to suit your needs. Both studios have one full wall of windows. I believe one faces the east and one faces the west so you can choose which lighting meets your needs. They are on the third floor, however, there is an elevator for you and your clients. There are bathrooms on the same floor, however, the studios are HUGE with movable divider/walls that you can use to change behind if you'd rather not go back and forth. There is parking on the street in front of the building as well as a lot on the side of the building. They have several DFW locations if Dallas isn't your cup of tea. You can view all of the locations on their website to see what each of the studios looks like and what furniture/props they have. I don't know how often they change the furniture/props out though. You can also book directly online which is a huge convenience especially if you charge your client the studio fee. They can book directly. Make sure to check out all of their locations.

As a photographer, I know how essential good lighting and a well-designed space are for a successful session—and this location meets every requirement. The natural and ambient lighting is excellent, and the overall environment offers a clean, versatile backdrop that works beautifully for all types of photography. Whether you’re planning a portrait session, engagement shoot, or creative project, this place provides the perfect setting. Highly recommended for both photographers and clients alike.

Had a great experience today! I’ve photographed in multiple studios in Dallas, and I must say that the cleanliness, personal touch w/our name on the door and easy access was great! The owner was literally a text away, and offered quick feedback when needed. I will definitely book again and advise you to do the same if you’re looking for a great studio to capture your next milestone or family photos.

I regularly shoot at The Lumen Room and absolutely LOVE IT. The owners are amazing and so helpful, and the space is gorgeous. They do a great job of up-keeping it and rotating really cool furniture pieces and props from time to time. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Dealey Plaza is a significant city park and National Historic Landmark in Dallas, Texas. It gained notoriety as the site of President John F. Kennedy's assassination in 1963. The 'grassy knoll' outside the area is where the museum is located, marking the exact spot on the roadway where JFK was shot. The former Texas School Book Depository at Dealey Plaza now houses the Sixth Floor Museum, dedicated to preserving the memory of this tragic event.
very cool to see in real life, the area felt safe enough to walk around for bit and really understand what happened there. it wasn’t super crowded. we visited the plaza after the sixth floor museum and had a great experience.

This plaza is the location of the JFK assassination in 1963 and a landmark location with quite a few things related to the assassination. Here you will find the grassy knoll, triple underpass, Sixth Floor Museum (Texas School Book Repository) and not far from the JFK Memorial Plaza. This is also the location of a monument to George B. Dealey while the Old Red Museum is just across the street as well.

Beautiful area. Full of history. There are JFK tours that you can pay for or you can just walk around by yourself. It's interesting to think that something so horrible happened it a place so beautiful.

Dealey Plaza was nice to see. The place where JFK lost his life is history for everyone to experience. The fountains are beautiful and monuments remarkable.

Very cool area. The history with a mix of post-war and modern architecture so close together makes for some very interesting photos. There is so much to do in the area. Save a few dollars and go online to buy tickets for the attractions. All day parking for under $15 is across the street from the Holocaust museum.

Somber yet beautiful. This place really puts things into perspective when you’re there. You can imagine everything and how it played out there withe JFK. It was surreal to see this place in person after years of learning about it in school.

Have always been fascinated by the facts and myths surrounding the JFK assassination. Spent a couple hours walking around the area and felt like I was taken back in time to Nov. 22, 1963. A fascinating area of downtown Dallas.

Visited Dealey Plaza in Dallas today — the spot where President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. Standing here gives you chills. It’s one of those places where you can feel how much history changed in a single moment. JFK was more than just a president; he believed in progress, equality, and pushing the nation forward. From the space race to his call for public service, his vision still matters today. I wanted my daughter to see this and understand why moments like this are important — to know that history isn’t just what we read about, it’s what shaped the world we live in.

The Dallas Zoo, located on 106 acres, is a fantastic destination for both kids and adults. It houses over 2,000 animals from about 400 species and offers an array of activities. Visitors can learn about various animals from zoologists, see a wide variety of bird species including macaws, get up close to reptiles, porcupines, cheetahs, giraffes and enjoy shows featuring penguins and birds of prey in the amphitheater.
I had a really good experience at the zoo. The place is well maintained, clean, and has plenty of space to walk around and enjoy at a relaxed pace. The animals looked well cared for, and there was a good variety to see—from exotic species to some more local ones. The facilities are clearly marked, making it easy to explore without getting lost. I also liked that there were green areas to rest, food stands, and activities for kids. It’s an ideal spot to spend the day with family, a partner, or even alone if you enjoy nature and animals. I definitely recommend visiting. It’s worth it.

LOVE this zoo! So many fascinating species, in large, natural habitats. Animals look happy and healthy in their spaces. Keepers are knowledgeable and passionate about their animals. Facility was large, but easy to navigate. I attended many of the keeper presentations and enjoyed the experience, good for many ages. -love a fellow zookeeper❤️

My visit to Dallas Zoo was a delight from start to finish. The admission prices are refreshingly reasonable, and parking was easy, plentiful, and hassle-free. The layout of the zoo is superb. You can flow from exhibit to exhibit naturally, making the entire experience feel effortless and enjoyable. We saw a fantastic variety of animals, from the majestic giraffes to playful otters and charming penguins, and every exhibit felt thoughtful and well curated. The staff sprinkled educational moments throughout the visit, and their passion, knowledge, and engagement elevated the experience for adults and kids alike. In total, our group spent about three hours walking through the entire zoo. That felt just right; long enough to see everything, but not so long that it became tiring. The food and drink options were solid (and well-priced), offering a good range of choices to recharge mid-visit. This zoo is absolutely family friendly, but it’s also a wonderful choice for a relaxing day out with friends. Whether you’re looking to combine fun, education, and a little nature escape, Dallas Zoo delivers. Highly recommend! We’ll definitely return next time we’re in Dallas!

We have to see the dinosaur exhibit every time with visit the zoo, per our son's request! The new butterfly exhibit is great as well. The winter holiday lights at the zoo is coming soon. We hope the zoo will continue to have the interactive dinosaur shows with videos lights and sounds again. My son wanted to go every night last year just for that alone!

Pioneer Plaza, located in front of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, is a public park that pays homage to Dallas' early days. The centerpiece of the plaza is a remarkable bronze sculpture by artist Robert Summers, depicting a scene from the old Shawnee Trail. This ensemble features 49 longhorn steers and three trail riders on horseback set amidst native North Texas flora, including trees, a flowing stream, and a waterfall.
Pioneer Plaza is an absolute must-see when visiting downtown Dallas! Stepping into this park feels like taking a vibrant leap back in time. The breathtaking bronze sculptures of the cattle drive are truly magnificent the sheer scale and detail of the longhorns and cowboys in motion are incredibly impressive. You can almost hear the lowing of the cattle and the shouts of the drovers! It's more than just a static monument; it's a dynamic piece of art that tells a powerful story about Texas history. Walking amongst the statues gives you a real sense of the grit and grandeur of the cattle drive era. The setting itself is also lovely, providing a great spot to take photos and soak in the atmosphere of downtown Dallas. Whether you're a history buff, an art enthusiast, or simply looking for a memorable experience, Pioneer Plaza and the Dallas Cattle Drive are well worth your time. It's a fantastic and free way to connect with the spirit of Texas!
ND4LIFE — Google review
Incredible detail and larger than life snapshot in history that contrasts two cowboys and a cattle drive through the downtown core of the city. It shows the impossible situation and interacts with the Earth, rock and water that will keep many observers spellbound as they walk amongst the trampling cattle. Do yourself a favor and check it out at sunset and you will feel transported back in time.
Architype — Google review
Located at the corner of Griffin and Young Streets, this 4.2-acre park is a standout blend of Western heritage and urban green space. The highlight is the dramatic bronze sculpture of 49 longhorn steers and three cowboys created by Robert Summers — a stunning visual that honors Texas’s cattle-drive history. What I loved: The sheer scale and detail of the bronze herd are impressive — each steer over six feet tall! Gorgeous landscaping featuring a stream, waterfall, and native Texas plants give the plaza a peaceful, reflective feel. Excellent location: right next to the convention center, easy to reach while visiting downtown. Things to know: It’s outdoors and open year-round, so weather (sun or rain) can affect the experience. Parking is nearby but can fill up when there are big events downtown. Overall, Pioneer Plaza is a memorable stop whether you’re a local or visiting — perfect for a walk, photos, or simply taking in a bit of Dallas history.

The symphony was outstanding. The guest pianist was brilliant. Sadly, we sat next to a young woman who “was only there for a class assignment” and was texting on her phone there entire time. When we asked her to stop, she told us that she was there for a class assignment and taking notes. I didn’t care why she was there, she was distracting and I was there to hear the symphony. I said something to the usher who basically shrugged and gave me a “kids today and their phones” response. I asked if he was going to do anything about it and he said what good would it do. We left at intermission.

The Mustangs of Las Colinas Sculpture and Museum is a breathtaking tribute to the spirit of wild mustangs, featuring an impressive outdoor installation of nine bronze horses that seem to leap through water. This remarkable equestrian sculpture is one of the largest in the world and truly shines at night when illuminated, creating a magical atmosphere in Williams Square Plaza. Adjacent to this stunning artwork is a museum that showcases exhibits about the artist and includes a captivating film.
This whole little “park” area is super cool, with a variety of restaurants and fountains all around. I made my girls go see the mustangs b/c they are so iconic. I remember when Las Colinas first was built and these statues were a big deal! Great area to just sit and chill - especially on a nice evening.

The Mustangs of Las Colinas is truly a breathtaking landmark! The bronze sculptures are massive and beautifully detailed, capturing the energy and motion of the wild mustangs as if they’re galloping right through the water. It’s one of those rare places where art, history, and nature all come together perfectly. The plaza is peaceful, with plenty of spots to sit, reflect, and take photos. At night, the lighting gives the statues a dramatic effect that’s just as stunning as during the day. Parking nearby is easy, and it’s centrally located in the Las Colinas area, making it a quick and worthwhile stop whether you’re visiting or local. Highly recommend stopping here. It’s a free, unique Texas experience that leaves a lasting impression!
Venita N — Google review
We went specifically to see this sculpture and it's incredible. Not some rusting, abstract art piece that looks like a post-apocalyptic building, but real art that inspires. The larger than life equestrian herd is frozen in time as they ran through a body of water. The splashes of their hooves continue to move and every muscle and expression is evident. Take your time and walk around to see the entire scene from each angle. It's incredible.

Being nestled downtown, the architectural experience alone is worth walking around ***Get to your seats early so you can see them pull up the lights to the ceiling. Way cool! Caught the Australian Pink Floyd show at the Winspear Opera House and I was absolutely blown away. The lights and laser show were stunning — perfectly synced with the music and every bit as epic as you’d hope from a Pink Floyd tribute. It was visually mesmerizing from start to finish. What really put the night over the top was the acoustics in the Winspear. Every note was crystal clear, and the sound seemed to wrap around you without being overpowering. You can tell this space was built with sound quality in mind — it’s honestly my new favorite place for concerts. The venue itself is beautiful, comfortable, and incredibly well run. The Crow Museum of Asian Art at The University of Texas at Dallas showcases over 1,000 masterpieces from across Asia, many dating back centuries. The serene sculpture garden is a standout attraction here, containing beautiful trees and plants.
Came here on a late weekday afternoon & it was a very pleasant experience. The building the museum is held in is quite charming. There was no wait. No crowd. Museum is on the smaller side. 3 floors showcasing beautiful Japanese artifacts—a couple of textiles but mostly stonework/pottery. The museum was FREE but donations are welcome. A parking garage is available for $5/hour during the week.

Visited the Crow Museum of Asian Art while in town for the Seokjin Run Tour, and it was such a cool, peaceful experience. The exhibits — from the intricate samurai armor to the stone lions and unique mask collection — were fascinating, and the staff was incredibly friendly. Free admission but garage parking ($5 by the hour, all you need). Beautiful monk sculpture and fountain when you enter the building. The parking garage is a little confusing and I wish they would’ve had more signs directing where the museum was. The current exhibition was quite brief as there was a whole chunk of the second floor not having anything. The bigger pieces were great to look at and the Chinese pottery were nice but eventually felt redundant after looking at 10 different pottery sculptures..
Phuong B — Google review
Even if you have no interest in decorative Japanese arts, you should come just for the amazing architecture of this museum. And if, like me, you love Asian arts and architecture, you’ll be in heaven! The unique design of this museum only highlights its wonderful assembly of items. Each is well labeled so you know exactly what you’re looking at. The collection has pieces dating from the beginning of pottery in Japan to modern day. There’s also wood, metal, and fabric arts represented. And it’s free. There’s no reason not to go!
Sierra K — Google review
The detail of the pottery and murals was incredible. The museum had free entry to the exhibit and different levels to view the eras of asian culture añd history. I highly recommend it. Great staff and I took amazing pictures.
Bernard W — Google review
Would recommend spending 1-2 hours here! Currently the entire museum is displaying a private collection of Japanese works with a focus on pottery and textile work from what I saw. Very quiet, and definitely a change of pace from the rest of the city's offerings. And the best part is that it's free !
Rachael K — Google review
The museum is quite small but also free! Every time I have visited, they always have something new. Occasionally some people will host events there. Historical landmark
Thanks-Giving Square in Dallas is a serene park and gathering place designed for people of all faiths to come together. Established by the Thanks-Giving Foundation, it serves as a space for spiritual renewal and reflection, with features such as a meditation garden, Wall of Praise, interdenominational Chapel of Thanksgiving, and museum of gratitude. This landmark has been an emotional touchstone for locals since 1964 and is often included in city tours to provide historical context.
A peaceful and serene urban park tucked away in the centre of downtown Dallas,TX. This is a great place to practice reflection and gratitude while enjoying the art installations, water features and chapel. The water features dull the surrounding city noises and the chapel is a must-see with its beautiful spiral ceiling and stained glass windows. It's worth a visit if you're in the area.
Luisa K — Google review
Such a beautiful place to come and just sit and relax, enjoy the beautiful serene water fall and the inside glass artistic building. They have chairs and places to sit and read if you would like. Very nice and maintained.
Relii C — Google review
Beautiful and peaceful place tucked in Dallas downtown. Very close to Akard Dart station. Go check it out
Manoj G — Google review
A quiet, enjoying place to go. When you enter the chapel, you can have a seat and lock up the ceiling with beautiful glass sky. And there’s people’s grateful wall at the entrance, you can write down what you thanks for.
Yitian C — Google review
Be sure to check out both the chapel and the surrounding area. It's a beautiful and peaceful experience all around.

Turtle Creek Park, formerly known as Lee Park, is a historic and serene green space located in Dallas. It offers visitors a peaceful escape from the bustling city with its clean and safe environment, lush lawns, and creeks. The park features statues, fountains, stonework, and elegant historic buildings such as Arlington Hall. Situated at the intersection of Turtle Creek Boulevard and Lemmon Avenue, it is a popular spot for weddings and photography due to its picturesque surroundings.
Walking past this park & had to stop for a bit. It’s nice & peaceful here. A beautiful little slice of Heaven in what can be a busy city at times. Perhaps if you’re able, come and enjoy. It’s relaxing.
Jerad H — Google review
Aug2025: 4 ⭐: I would recommend this park location. The area has plenty of trails to run, walk and ride on. The one thing that it doesn't have is a restroom along the trail if you have to use it. Although there is a water fountain, there is no restroom that I saw when I was there. This trail seemed to get pretty clustered around the evening hours with people, bikes, and electric vehicles.
A.A. H — Google review
Beautiful park, very scenic views! I come here often, sometimes bring my dog. The walks here are relaxing. People are generally friendly here. parking is never a problem. My nephew loves to run around here

Lovely little park. Nice walking surfaced trails.

My favorite park in downtown Dallas! There’s so much greenery. Katy trail goes through this park. There’s a lake with a fountain and plenty of space surrounding it for a picnic, painting, sunbathing, and more. There’s plenty of space to walk around or sit down and enjoy the view. It’s really nice to have this green spot available amidst all the city concrete.
Heba — Google review
I like how it looks beautiful but today it's a lot of trash in the water and it looks like they've not try to come clean up the trash in the water...

Katy trail runs through here 2.1 miles. Beautiful scenery. Fishing 🎣 walking 🚶‍♀️ running 🏃‍♀️ biking 🚴‍♀️ dogs welcome pets welcome. Parking on streets and pull Offs. Plenty of places to stop and get some shade!!

Turtle Creek Park is known as a great place to picnic, enjoy views of Turtle Creek, and a scenic place to walk. There is an access point to the Katy Trail and the park offers great fall foliage in November. Be sure to check out the putting greens next to the creek and the stone picnic tables.

Water & Amusement Parks
Nestled just a short drive from downtown Dallas, Bahama Beach Waterpark is a delightful family-friendly oasis that promises endless fun under the sun. This tropical-themed water park boasts an array of attractions designed to cater to all ages. Kids can enjoy the interactive water playground featuring a massive 1,000-gallon dumping bucket and various slides, including the impressive Coconut Grove rain fortress with its pulleys and geysers.
This waterpark is perfect for birthday parties or just relaxing solo in the lazy river. The staff is always helpful and friendly, and I like that a police officer is on duty out front it feels safe. You can unload party supplies in the front, which makes setup easier. Parking can get crowded since it’s next to a church, but there’s usually plenty of street parking available. Fun spot overall!
Troy S — Google review
City of Dallas needs to keep up with the maintenance of the attractions. Food services: for $10.50 the meat/seasoning of the Cheeseburger should be a lot better. If you order fries you have to be standing around the right window and remind them of part of your order, in my case 3 fries for $15. Bad organization, why they cannot just take your name and call you when your order is ready instead of waiting there like in my case for 20 min for fries while others than came later get served while your Burger got cold?? 4 stars are for the attractions. I recommend you to bring your food.(I did not know)
Felipe R — Google review
It's not bad for what it is. We had fun. Five dollars for a locker was great. They also had two cops there patrolling the parking lot. Could be better. A lot of broke lockers and could use some more cleaning in certain areas. The biggest thing for us was that there weren't enough tubes for the lazy river. We were constantly having to wait or look for one.
Olivia A — Google review
We had a great experience! We didn't expect the place to be so prominent, with many options for kids and adults. The highlight for us was the floating chair; we enjoyed it and spent over 1.5 hours on it. **Pros:** There are designated kid zones and pools, numerous slides for adults, plenty of free parking, and tables for food that can also be reserved. **Cons:** There aren't enough changing areas, and the washrooms could be cleaner. There's only one changing room, and it's constantly occupied, so I recommend changing outside if possible.
Dewan R — Google review
Went about an hour after opening and had a blast! Lines were short for rides and plenty of room. Only negative was it took 30 minutes to get fries. Food line was not busy so not sure what took so long and fries weren't seasoned. Burgers and pizza were very good though
Sterling W — Google review
Second time visiting and second time being disappointed. Our first visit was a lot better a year ago. Last year, we rented a cabana, but when we got there, we found out our cabana had an obstructed view and no working fan. The other ones worked. Then, our food came. It was flavorless and cold, but the attendants were very nice. The park was clean and we had fun. We had a better time then. This past time was worse. They were slow about opening the park. The crew wasn't ready. Our cabana ( a different one) had no working fan, but they did move us to one that worked. The food was still bad and the water looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. We won't be coming back.
Cindy V — Google review
Had a great time ! Didn’t buy food bc we brought our own in. They don’t have a PA system, which in my opinion needs to be revised. Lazy River was cool besides the children horse playing. Cool rides.
Emmerrier W — Google review
Very nice. I brought my kids and three of their friends. There’s something for everyone to enjoy. The wait lines were not near as long as I expected. I can definitely recommend this place for large groups of kids.

Reverchon Park, a 46-acre municipal park in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas, Texas, is often referred to as the "Central Park of Dallas." Established in 1914 and formerly known as Turtle Creek Park, it offers a wide range of activities for visitors. The park features playgrounds, picnic areas with tables and grills, miles of walking and jogging trails, as well as sports facilities including baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, and sand volleyball courts.
Huge park with lots of space to jog and play catch. We’ve even had a game of ultimate frisbee. There are some really cool stone steps and vistas on the south side which connect to the Katy Trail. There’s even a large playground and grills with picnic tables
Curtis B — Google review
Fairly well-kept. It’s a pretty area. There is a playground. Lots of space to throw a frisbee or play fetch with your dog. The ponds and stream can get poorly littered sometimes which is disappointing and sad. Please be kind to the unhoused folks not bothering people under the bridges. I wish more people were courteous of animals, plants, and each other. Remember, the earth is everyone’s home. The walking path is nice. This park could be better, but it’s not bad!
Ida E — Google review
It's a nice park but the trail is not very friendly for the handicap. I would like to see the bridge not be stairs on at least one of the paths closest to the entrance for handicap parking. I didn't fully go through the right side only the left side of the trail but it was difficult to walk around the path without climbing. Not a lot of parking but it's expected near downtown. I don't go to many parks downtown so it is not a pocket park it is an actual large park so take my review with not much weight because real estate for Dallas Parks are limited.
Lilliana B — Google review
A really peaceful park where you can take a break from the city. I enjoy walking here, sitting on a bench, and just relaxing by the trees and water. There are some unique touches too — old stone bridges and quiet, tucked-away spots that make it feel special 🌳☀️🌿. On the downside, some park elements are a bit run-down, and there are homeless people living under the bridges along Turtle Creek. They’ve never acted aggressive when I’ve been around, but it’s something to be aware of. Overall, it’s a beautiful place to unwind, enjoy nature, and find a little calm in the middle of Dallas. Take it easy and touch some grass 🍃😌🌱
Marat Z — Google review
It's better than before but not what we were promised. 1st of all, there are NO bathrooms, so we have "excuss" ourselves in public. 2nd, the lights are too low and you can't see a ball in the air at night. During the day, the field is amaizng, just try not to play a game at night if you can avoid it.

Domestic airport
Dallas Love Field is an airport that showcases a diverse range of permanent and rotating artwork, including sculptures and paintings. Located in the cosmopolitan city of Dallas, it is home to one of the largest LGBT+ communities in the United States, offering plenty of cool places to enjoy drinks and entertainment under rainbow flags. The city itself is known for its diversity, with various languages spoken on its streets and a mix of bustling downtown areas and family-friendly suburbs.
This was my first time flying into and out of this airport…it was a pleasant experience overall. I appreciate that it was hassle free to drop off my rental car. The rental car shuttle guy was courteous and kind! The TSA check in was fast. It was nice to have access to healthy food options. The bathrooms are clean and it is nice that they have free items for women <3

You would figure when a plane is sitting at the gate for 3+ hours, someone would figure out said plane would have an engine issue. Nope, not Southwest, they completely board the plane, back it up, and then figure it out. Meanwhile, we completely unload the plane, scramble everyone for new flights and now I'm seven hours late. Never again...
Warren S — Google review
First, it’s an airport, once you accept that, it’s bad medium or great. This is medium good. Dallas traffic is as bad as LA. The airport is a nice little place once you get in there. The even have a Maggiano’s, one of our favorite restaurants in Chicago, St. Louis, & in this airport (Philly and a couple more places we’ve visited.) that gets a Star!
Shawn S — Google review
I was flying out of Dallas using Southwest airlines and this is a great airport. I got dropped off when using the route 5 bus and the curbside main entrance to the terminal building is tiny. But when I got inside, it was not busy and I got through security in about 5 minutes. And due to the small size, the airport is very easy to navigate. Even though it's kind of small compared to DFW, there are still some good places to eat inside. Overall this is a great airport.
Matt M — Google review
Currently here on a layover delay. The airport itself is nice, with large windows that let in plenty of natural light. One thing I really appreciate is the variety of restaurants—there’s no shortage of places to grab a bite. It is a bit crowded right now due to delays, and the interior layout can feel a little tight when it gets busy, but overall it’s a solid and comfortable airport to be stuck in.
Sophoan Y — Google review
I’ve used this airport a handful of times now. Southwest is most prominent airline. They have curbside check-in for $3. Plenty of kiosks for checking in inside. It’s relatively small so not a lot of people and not too busy, compared to a full size one. If you are running late, it’s a shorter distance to trek to the gate. Plenty of food options too. They have Whataburger and some fancy bars as well. Staff is friendly. Strict but not rude.
Chintot — Google review
I don’t understand why this airport has 4.5 stars!! From the getting out of the car the security directing traffic were playing and goofing off!!! Then had the audacity to Yell at my dad for helping us unload our luggage and baby stroller and car seat. They didn’t direct traffic at ALL. Also I have been to several airports and not once charged a concierge fee on top of my baggage fee for curbside check in. Then the guy who checked us in was a complete jerk when I simply asked why we were being charged on top of the baggage fee. He said you didn’t read the sign!!! Ok well you read all the signed when you are being yelled at by security have awkward baby gear and luggage and a mother who is handicapped. If you are going to charge me the concierge price at least help us or have staff to help us. This airport sucks and is beyond greedy!!! Here is the sign for all those whom need to see it prior to your next departure.
Jackie S — Google review
Dallas Love Field is definitely a great airport, really easy to navigate and from check-in to boarding the plane, it’s all smooth. I’ve seen so many places to eat and many stores to shop and definitely did have a good flight on Southwest Airlines to Philadelphia. I will for sure return to this airport next time!

Highland Park Village is an upscale mall in Dallas, known for its stylish designer boutiques, shoe stores, gift shops, and diverse eateries. It was the first self-contained shopping center in America and has been a part of Dallas history since 1931. Designated as a National Historic Landmark in 2000, it offers an extensive collection of exclusive luxury brands such as Balenciaga, Christian Dior, Hermes, Jimmy Choo, and more.
It’s beautifully decorated during Xmas celebrations season, there were lights all around. We enjoyed a lot. Highland Park Village is a true gem in Dallas, Texas, offering a luxurious and unforgettable shopping and dining experience that deserves every one of its five stars. We liked it.
Shahnawaj K — Google review
One shameful thing about this mall is there are no bathrooms anywhere. You'd think that would violate some sort of city ordinance. Furthermore, an AI review claims there is but doesn't say where. No restrooms appear anywhere on the map of Highland Park Village Mall. If there are none it violates the Americans with Disabilities Act. A response from them would be nice.
Bobby F — Google review
Enjoyed it very much. Upscale, clean, very popular. Not a large area like most outdoor shopping spots , but large enough for a days outing.

So over their inhumane parking situation . The lot has compact car spaces for the size of a motor bike. Tell me how am I (or the next person) supposed to get out of our cars??? If you're looking for an unforgettable equestrian experience, look no further than the River Ranch at Texas Horse Park. This stunning venue offers guided horse trail rides led by authentic Texan cowboys, allowing you to immerse yourself in the spirit of the Wild West while donning your very own cowboy hat. As you traverse the beautiful brushland, you'll learn about the heartwarming community initiatives supported by this remarkable park.
10/10 experience. The dude Dea (I don't know how to spell his name) and his wife Vanessa were super kind. The horses seem to be well taken care of as well. They have a list of foods you can bring to feed the horses and have cowboy hats to wear while you're riding. I loved it when the horses went through the puddles, and I enjoyed the dirt bridge and zig-zag through the tires. Thank you all for the option to take photos shortly after too too 🫶. Hours are wrong on here though because I went on a Sunday. So they need to be updated lol.

This place was awesome. While visiting family in Rockwall, TX, a group of us wanted to ride horses and found this place online. We did all our paperwork online, paid online & showed up for the most amazing experience ever. For our first ever horse rides, this was great for all that attended. I would definitely do it again because of the great experience we had. Highly recommend.

As an out-of-town visitor and first-time rider who dreamed of horseback riding, my nerves snuck up on me at first but I didn’t say anything. My instructor Cristian was amazing - by the end of the trail, I was blown away and in awe by how he got me feeling confident in just one session. He somehow must’ve knew what I needed. He was really professional and taught me about the horses and ranch. The staff were great to work with during booking and super easy to email. The trail was beautiful and my horse Tinkerbell made it such a fun, and whimsical experience. Definitely recommend!

**Girl Scout Troop 5801 had an incredible experience earning our Horsemanship Badge this weekend!** We couldn’t be more pleased with how the event turned out, thanks to Vanessa, who expertly coordinated everything for us. The ranch itself is stunning, and the horses are well cared for and beautiful. Kyler, our instructor, was exceptional. His extensive knowledge and patient demeanor made a huge difference, especially for the girls who were a bit nervous about riding on their own. Kyle ensured that everyone felt comfortable and confident. He also provided hands-on instruction, teaching the girls how to saddle the horses, lead them, and even ride independently. One of the highlights was an unexpected trail ride outside of the arena, which was a delightful surprise and a favorite part of our experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this ranch to anyone interested in riding. It was a truly memorable experience for our troop! THANK YOU RR!!
