Barbecue restaurant
Pecan Lodge is a renowned BBQ eatery that offers a wide selection of smoked meats, sides, and desserts, along with an assortment of beer and wine. The establishment boasts an impressive lineup of pitmasters with diverse culinary backgrounds. Their signature BBQ is prepared using a traditional method involving mesquite and oak wood, earning them recognition as one of the top four BBQ joints globally by Texas Monthly.
There is no shortage of BBQ choices in Dallas and Pecan Lodge is my favorite for a few things. The pork ribs, burnt ends, turkey are all top notch. The brisket, beef ribs, sausage are great as well. I can't comment on any other meat...I've not had it. Side, haven't had those either. If by some chance you leave room for somethin sweet, absolutely make it the peach cobbler! Depending on the day, the outside patio is a great place to enjoy hanging out and listening to som live music. I highly recommend going to Pecan Lodge if you are in the area!

The food was very good. Fast paced line and food came out about 5 minutes after ordering. Be prepared to spend quite a bit of money if you are going with multiple people. We bought the trough it came stacked with enough meat for everyone to eat on and plenty left over. The sides were good but not anything to out of the ordinary. The baked beans were the best of the sides definitely recommend. All of the meat was good and tender besides the burnt ends they were on the drier side. All around everything was good definitely had a great experience.

🔥 The Pecan Lodge – BBQ Heaven! 🔥 I’ve tried BBQ all over Texas — Houston, San Antonio, and Austin — and honestly, this place might just be the best of them all. 😍 🥩 Beef Rib: Juicy, tender, and perfectly warm — you don’t even need silverware to enjoy it. Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. 🦃 Turkey: Delicious and juicy too, with the perfect flavor balance. 🎶 Atmosphere: Great vibes all around! There’s live music, a spacious terrace, and a friendly staff that makes you feel right at home. If you’re a BBQ lover, this place is an absolute must. Come hungry, stay for the music, and you’ll leave planning your next visit.
Arturo A — Google review
We heard from a few people that this is THE place for Texas BBQ. The line was long but there was no wait at the bar. The food came out very quickly. The brisket and ribs were tender with good seasoning. The BBQ sauce was good and adds to the flavoring. The fried okra was fried okra. I would recommend a different sides. The slushy margarita was delicious on a hot day but getting the swirl of flavoring was not worth the extra $4. The classic margarita would’ve been just fine. Overall the food was good. If there’s a short line or seatings at the bar, try it!
S T — Google review
One of the contenders for the top pitmaster in deep ellum. The brisket was both tender and moist with plenty of smoke. Some of the best I have had. The burnt ends was less consistent. Some are juicy while others were dry. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Good alcohol pairings for great bbq.
Wa W — Google review
Family and I are big time bbq eaters. This was our first time here and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our party had 6 adults and 1 child. We opted for 3 lbs of beef ribs, 0.5 lbs pork ribs and 0.5 lbs brisket. 1 qt. jalapeño mac and cheese, fries, Okra, and beans. -Beef ribs: 7.5/10. These ribs were full of meat and easily came off the bone. They had a good smokey flavor. They were full of flavor! -Pork ribs: 5/10. Although they had good flavor, they were very chewy and were harder to take off the bone. The ribs were very small and had very little meat on them. -Brisket: 8/10. This was the best flavored food! They might have overdone it just a bit with the strong smokey flavor, but it was very well seasoned. Easy to cut into and very moist. The sides weren’t amazing just ok. The favorite for us all was the Mac and cheese. Didn’t have a strong jalapeño taste and had a good consistency. Overall, we definitely got our moneys worth. The tangy sauce is what really held everything together. The homemade lemonade mixed with tea was great. We wouldn’t be opposed to eating here again :)
Elizabeth T — Google review
Not sure we're to start. The pork ribs was a big disappointment. No flavor and hard to swallow. They looked good for the eyes only. The Brisket was dry also with no flavor. The pulled pork was okay just full of fat so you have to pick through it. The Mac was okay. The beans was okay. The okra was cold a hard. Peach cobbler let's just say I ate the peaches. We were highly disappointed. The BBQ was made with 0 effort one was super watery and sweet like sugar water with a mixture of sauce. The thicker sauce was okay. $98 down the drain. We tried our best to give it a fair taste every bite was more disappointing. What BBQ place charge for initial bread. It doesn't matter that is .75 per slice its the point. I expected it to be close to Terry Blacks, Not even close. Best part we did get our cold food fast as there was no line on a Sunday. Will never return.
Felecia B — Google review
Went here after visiting the Bush museum for some lunch. I had researched the top BBQ places in Dallas and this one came up so I gave it a try. Definitely has awesome vibes with live music and cool staff. But the food was just… eh. I ordered a two meat plate with brisket and pulled pork plus macaroni and cheese as my side. First, the mac and cheese was delectable. Easily the best part of the meal. The brisket on the other hand was very fatty. Not sure if that’s how Texans like it or not. The pulled pork was mostly really good, but a few parts were super burnt. It was also served with a side of onions (yay!) and pickles (yuck). I guess everything in Texas comes with pickles if you don’t specify. The food was just… okay. For what I paid I expected a lot better, hence the rating.

Taco restaurant
Mexican restaurant
Velvet Taco is a trendy fast-food-style joint that offers an array of unique taco options with global flavors. From Nashville hot tofu to spicy chicken tikka, there are over twenty distinct varieties to choose from. While the tacos are the main attraction, the restaurant is also known for its 'Backdoor Chicken' dinners, featuring a whole brined rotisserie chicken and sides like corn elotes and pico de gallo for just $20.
Amazing, we came to visit Dallas and decide to walk by because of the unique name and set up. They weren’t open yet, but the manager saw us outside taking pictures and came and spoke with us. We told him that we would be back when they were open and we did come back! The manager was phenomenal and the staff were amazing as well! So welcoming and the manager had so much knowledge about the company, that I thought I owned the place! Now the food and margaritas, AMAZING! Such a great experience at a restaurant that we will be retuning when we come back to Dallas! If you are in Dallas, stop at THIS location you won’t regret it!!!!

I visited Texas a couple of weeks ago and ended up at Velvet Taco twice because my hotel was nearby — and because the tacos were just that good. They have some really unique and creative options like Chicken & Waffle, Spicy Tikka Chicken, Korean Fried Rice, and Bacon Smash Burger. I stuck with the Angus Brisket taco, and it was incredibly flavorful. They also have a couple of spicy sauces on the side, which I tried because I love heat — highly recommend. The chips and queso were another highlight. In fact, they were so good that my friend and I ordered them again on our second visit. One thing that really stood out was the service: when we ran out of chips but still had queso left, I went to buy more, and a man behind the counter gave me another bag free of charge. That’s the kind of small gesture that leaves a big impression. There’s also an outdoor seating area, and both times I visited it wasn’t too busy. Overall, excellent food, great service, and I’d absolutely come back next time I’m in town.

We have been to Velvet Taco before, but this was the first time at the Deep Ellum location. We went during the day for lunch. Super clean, safe atmosphere, short lines, and great food. From the bowl to the chips and guac, everything we got was tasty and well presented. The one bummer was they never called out my number or name letting me know my meal was ready. After the others at my table were half-way done eating their meals, I finally went up to inquire. That's when I see her scrolling her phone while my meal was waiting there getting cold. Yikes..
Ron H — Google review
Food is delicious, and they accommodate the club crowd. I love the unique menu. Thanks for being open. This location is really safe inside the restaurant. The staff were cool. However, parking is the issue. If you park in the prepaid lot behind Velvet Taco, please pay. They have young dudes watching and alerting the tow truck driver. The tow truck will pull up to your vehicle while you are getting food. Also, this parking lot is not safe from hit and runs. I witnessed it one night. A big truck hit a parked Mustang and drove off. I got his license plate number for the Mustang owner.
Mekka H — Google review
First time at the Velvet Taco. I was hesitant to try fusion of Indian flavor with Mexican cuisine but I am glad I did. I loved two tacos which I got. I will go back to try some more.
Manoj G — Google review
Ordered delivery and even though there was a delay (from the driver not the restaurant), the items were still pretty tasty. Solid flavors though the chicken Tikka was more rice than chicken. Elote was great!
Adam C — Google review
Came in with a large group and ordered the two Taco combo. It took over 30 minutes for us to place our order as the front counter service was very slow. Once the food arrive though is quite tasty. The brisket and pork tacos were fantastic, the nacho chips that came with the order were very salty, and the side elote that I had was fantastic. Overall a great experience and the restaurant is in a nice area to have a walk around afterwards
Jason F — Google review
Absolutely delicious! The Say What?! Combo is the BEST! It comes with two tacos of choice, elotes & blue corn tortilla chips, and a canned soda. The tacos were flavorful, and everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Please note: There are tiny bones in the Rotisserie Chicken tacos, please be careful. I can’t wait to order from this location again.

Rodeo Goat is a laid-back eatery that offers a creative twist on their house-ground burgers and an extensive selection of craft beers. The restaurant has garnered attention for its Ukrainian-themed work shirts worn by the staff, as well as its philanthropic efforts to raise funds for World Central Kitchen in Ukraine. Known for serving top-notch food, Rodeo Goat boasts the title of having the best homemade burgers and a diverse menu.
This review is a day late, we ordered lunch yesterday for 7 people to be delivered. Everything arrived without issue, nothing missing or not as ordered. All orders arrived fresh and warm. I ordered the Sugar Burger, it was very good. Everyone else enjoyed what they ordered and had no issues. It’s been a while since I have eaten at Rodeo Goat, need to go more often.
Ken M — Google review
My burger was very delicious. I ordered the Blue Goat burger since I was in the mood to try something different from a basic burger and it didn't disappoint! The burger patty was juicy and all of the flavors from the Bleu cheese slaw, caramelized onions and the garlic mayo were perfect together. I also had some of their french fries with a side of their ranch, so so good! I really liked the seasoning on the fries too. We were also there with a pretty big group, about 30 or so and the service was excellent for such a large group. The manager also brought food out, checked on us and took group pics for us. It was bar top style seating so we took up 4 or so rows of tables, which worked out fine for our group. The food came out fast and they refilled drinks often.
Erika B — Google review
Food is great. Seating is okay. Mostly high tops with large tables and tall stools. There are some regular tables but not many. Service is good but they are very busy and it's hard to get their attention. The portions of fries are huge with the burgers being of expected size. Everyone loved what they ordered. The cowboy caviar is AMAZING!
Christa U — Google review
I hadn't visited in a while. There was a table available for our group. The food was amazing as always. I ordered the Sundance burger- had a fried mozzarella square and strawberry jam....it was so good. The fries were also seasoned well and tasty. I'll visit again when in the area.

We were attending the Dallas Market for Apparel and ate here. So good. Service was great, cool ambience and great options on the menu. I had the mule to drink and the Naan's Goat burger or something like that lol, so good, love the goat cheese and delicious meat!

A gem i must say for lunch or for a casual biz meeting. Wide selection of drinks and burgers. Enjoyed the recommendations by the staff and the speedy service. Enjoy and disconnect from the everyday hustle. Cheers!

Wanted a good burger so I decided to try this place-and the burger was soooo good! They have a great selection of ciders which paired great with my burger-and sweet potato fries. My gf got a shake and said it was rich and had just the right resistance thought the straw. Service was to be desired, it’s as if she didn’t want to be at work, I understand we all have bad days but I don’t recall her telling us her name, she was very dismissive and short when I asked her recommendations, and she had the same sour puss face the entire night (and we closed the place down)!
Marie B — Google review
Hands down one of the best burgers I’ve had my wife and I ordered this place after we landed from our our flight in oh my goodness the flavor the bun ratio was perfect. The sauce ratio was perfect. Just everything just seems so fresh probably one of the best burgers I think I’ve ever had very, very good.

Hamburger restaurant
Twisted Root Burger Co. is a popular chain known for its gourmet beef, turkey, and vegan burgers, as well as spiked shakes. With its playful atmosphere and incredible burgers, the original location in Deep Ellum offers an authentic feel with a rustic setting. Recently opening a new location on SMU Blvd., Twisted Root Burger Co. has expanded to cater to more customers.
Staying in Dallas for a day while on vacation. Wanted to try somewhere that was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and decided on this place. It did not disappoint. I had the Freshmen 15 amd some fries with a soft drink. The food was amazing (don't forget to try all of the pickles at the pickle bar) amd the atmosphere feels like a place that you want to hang out at. Not sure about the normal parking situation, but the road in front of the restaurant is under construction, so you have to park two lots down in a pay to park place. Maybe this is normal, I do not know for sure. Anyway, don't let that stop you from eating here as the food is worth it.

Absolutely love this place. Every time I’m in town, I love to stop by here. Every time I’ve been, the workers have been friendly and seem like they genuinely enjoy their jobs. I’ve never had a bad burger here and I’m a big pickle fan so the pickle bar is a total plus. The way they plate their burgers is great and it makes the food look very appetizing (and it tastes just as good!!!). They were playing some major bops on whatever speaker system they had and once I was with my dad and they said whoever brought their dad’s wallet to the counter first got a free float and they stuck to their word. It was a very fun and engaging visit and me and my dad still joke about it to this day.

Guy Fiery approved ! This place is DELICIOUS ! From the moment we walked in -to the moment we left we had great service. I loved the FREE help yourself pickle barrel bar & watermelon iced tea ( tasted like a jolly rancher) ! The atomic pickle flavor was my fav. They have a wide variety of selections and modifications are easy without any fuss. They offer game of the day such as antelope , deer etc. Gluten free , vegetarian & vegan options available. One of the best vegan burger patty’s I’ve had ! ( I opted for lettuce wrap) Everything was soooo good . The “in house” sauces like “root beer bbq “ & “chipotle ketchup” hit the spot. They call your order out by music artist , really fun ( we got prince) . Highly recommend for all your burger cravings.
JP P — Google review
Definitely worth repeating visits! Everything from their traditional All American Burger to their more unique creations and all their sides are incredibly delicious! Don't forget to try every flavor pickle they have available because they're all so good. And don't skip out on the shakes either, they are the perfect consistency and the flavors really pop! Every visit the service has been stellar, even through it's counter service. The staff still takes the time to check on guests while they're dining in. And if you're getting a to go order? Every order is checked thoroughly! Check em out!
Kelli R — Google review
Twisted Root Burger Co. nails the “classic burger joint” vibe and the flavors to match. The Turducken—beef patty + fried chicken + fried egg steals the show, but the crisp hand-punched fries with house chipotle ketchup and a smooothe vanilla shake hit just as hard. Even the standard All-American bacon cheeseburger is dialed-in perfection. Parking’s tight during construction, but it’s worth the small hassle for a knockout lunch.
Jim N — Google review
The onion rings were lukewarm to cold, but the burger was actually quite good, the service was very good and attentive, I recommend this restaurant.
Adriano B — Google review
Absolutely love this place. Every time I’m in town, I make sure to stop by. The staff is always friendly and genuinely seems to enjoy their work. I’ve never had a bad burger here, and as a big pickle fan, the pickle bar is a total plus. The way they plate the burgers makes them look amazing — and they taste just as good! They were even playing some great music during my visit, which made the whole atmosphere even better. Definitely one of my go-to spots in Dallas.
Jorge D — Google review
Perfect burger. I got the classic with grilled onions and fries. I loved the burger but the fries and ranch were real standouts. The fries were fresh and seasoned to perfection, the ranch had a distinct pepper flavor that helps separate it’s flavor from a lot of other ranches I tried. Gotta say. If you are a burger fan and want a delicious meal, this is the place to go.

Italian grocery store
Wine store
Jimmy's Food Store is a well-established Italian specialty shop that offers a variety of high-quality products such as prepared foods, sausages, baked goods, imported cheeses, and pasta. The store is known for its authentic Italian subs made with top-notch ingredients like olive oil, fresh herbs, marinated peppers, Genoa salami, and spicy sausage. Additionally, they offer fresh caprese and muffuletta salads that stand out from typical sandwich shops.
My absolute favorite place to go! The deli has the best meat, cheeses, salads and more. The sandwiches are the absolute best!!! I'm an Italian from Jersey and this is just like being home! I've even purchased Pork Roll here! 💯 Recommended!
Jersey D — Google review
Well...I have been meaning to visit this establishment for many years, and I am so glad that I did. First of all, to get there I had to drive through parts of Dallas that I have never been to in the past 23 years that I have lived here. Seems like gentrification is STRONG in this part of town. In spite of all that, Jimmy's vibe feels like it has been there through every recent and not so recent neighborhood developments. We picked, I think, a lucky time to visit - Thursday afternoon at about 1pm. Parking was easy (street), and there were not too many people in the store. When you walk in, you instantly feel like you belong. There is nothing pretentious about the environment. It feels cozy and inviting. The space is packed with fresh produce, frozen premades, refrigerated house sauces and such. Of course, the main attraction is the deli. Lots of different cuts of meats and sausages, etc...Next time I go back I will need to spend more time exploring the different deli offerings, but I was feeling a little overwhelmed, so the counter person directed my attention to a more simplified menu. My barometer sandwich is always an Italian. I gave my order and then killed 15 minutes browsing the groceries before my name was called. Sandwiches had a decent heft...we took them outside and stood at a small table and ate. The bread was fresh, the deli cuts were tasty and didn't overpower each other. I added lettuce, pickles, mustard, chili tomatoes, and vinaigrette. All of the flavors came together, especially in the middle of the sandwich. Really reminded me of the Grinders I used to get from real delis back in the day before Subway and it's ilk. If you are planning on visiting, then I will say don't hesitate! Fair warning, there does not seem to be any sort dedicated dining area. I will definitely be going back. Next sandwich will most likely be a meatball or sausage or combo of each. Btw, banana split cream soda hit just right.

I came into this shop early for the best selection of meat from the butcher, but I ended up finding out people line up for their sandwiches which were delicious. Staff were friendly and the overall service had a southern hospitality feel. Their prices were fair especially since the sandwiches were so good. I sampled their sausage offerings and from a traditional butcher they have good quality. Overall this is a great place to visit for good quality meat or a delicious sandwich.

I had a great experience getting food from Jimmy’s. I got the calabrese panino which was fantastic and much bigger than expected. It was flavored well and the bread was nicely toasted making it exactly what I hoped for. Despite multiple people being there, the sandwich was prepared quickly and I enjoyed walking around the store while waiting. I also got a cannoli which was delicious. It wasn’t too sweet or rich making it a very enjoyable dessert. Overall, I had a fantastic experience here and would definitely return for another sandwich. I’m also eager to try their selection of meats, cheeses, and wines.

Ordered the Italian beef sandwich and the Muffuletta. The sandwiches were good. The beef sandwich was on the salty side. This was my first time having a Muffuletta. I liked the sandwich. It's a big sandwich even for a 6 inch. If you better like olives, that's about all I could really taste. It's a small store with the sandwiches in the back with the deli meats and cheeses. It can get very busy and cramped. When it's busy, the parking is bad. The staff still made the sandwiches very quickly. I would suggest ordering ahead. There are no tables.

First time at jimmys and there is so much to look at and buy! We got an Italian sub and an Italian beef and they start taking sandwich orders at 10am. Staff was friendly, can’t wait to come by again and grab another Italian beef

Best sandwich shop ever. So authentic, family run and taste like a salad in a sandwich when u bite in it, It's so good!!! The place is also clean and there's also a store in it and has fresh produce and stuff imported from italy

Popular Italian deli, similar to what you would find in New York City. Old world feel, there's nothing else like it in Dallas-Fort Worth. Best coffee ever. The surrounding area used to be a little sketchy, however, that's changing rapidly.

Steak house
American restaurant
Fine dining restaurant
Perry's Steakhouse & Grille in Park District, Dallas offers an exceptional dining experience with a focus on chops, seafood, wine, and cocktails. The restaurant is known for its attentive staff, inviting atmosphere, and enticing menu. It has received accolades from various sources for its outstanding service and warm ambiance. Perry's features prime hand-cut steaks and fresh seafood alongside premium cocktails and fine wines at the elegant bar.
Marvin was an exceptional waiter. He was knowledgeable and extremely professional. We didn’t like the original seating because it was tight and too close to the other tables. They weren’t spaced out well. We felt like we were sitting with other parties because we could hear their conversations. The steak was the 2nd best steak we’ve ever had. The food was delicious! Not sure if we will return because we prefer more intimate settings when dining out.

We came to Perry’s Steakhouse in Dallas because of the amazing reviews, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The vibe was great, and we sat outside where it felt like we had the whole space to ourselves. To be honest, the service started off a little rough, surprisingly so for a place with such high ratings. But mistakes happen. The real magic came when I asked for the manager, and Elizabeth showed up. She was an absolute angel, listened to our concerns, and fixed everything immediately. From there, Oscar stepped in and completely turned the night around. They saved the evening and made it feel like a 6-star restaurant. The food was incredible—we ordered the steak flight, and every bite was mouthwatering. To top it off, the espresso martinis were some of the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend Perry’s if you’re in Dallas. We’ll definitely be back.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ 4/5 Had lunch at Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille and it lived up to its reputation for great food and service. Started with the Filet Mignon Lettuce Wraps tasty but not standout, and the odd number of pieces made sharing tricky. The Friday Pork Chop Lunch Special is the real star here: absolutely massive, tender, and perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes, applesauce, and sides of Brussels Sprouts and Asparagus were all excellent. Service was top-notch, attentive, friendly, and perfectly timed. We finished with coffee and a Champagne Biscuit Charlotte, which was pleasant but not memorable. Overall, great service and a fantastic main course make this a solid 4 out of 5. I’ll definitely return to try the dinner version soon.

The atmosphere was nice, but the food didn’t really live up to the price. The New York steak came with no sauce, and the meat was a bit tough and dry. One of the side dishes had a strange taste, though the shrimp and fries were pretty good, and the pasta was decent. It took about 30 minutes for the drinks to arrive and around 40 minutes for the food. Maybe it just depends on what you order, but overall, it wasn’t quite worth the long wait or the price.

Unbelievable experience. 39 year wedding anniversary dinner. Fine dining is all about show business and this restaurant put on a award winning show. Eddie our server was exceptional and each of his recommendations were exactly as he described. One of the thing that sets a restaurant apart for me is to see managers on the floor checking with patrons. We met Victoria first and she checked with us at least 3 times and DP checked in on us as well. Atmosphere, service and price point value will bring us back soon, not to mention the enormous pork chop that was cooked perfect, seasoned to perfection and so tender/moist. My wife had the Beef Wellington and it was a show stopper as well.
Gaylon W — Google review
This restaurant is a place where you can have both family gatherings and business meetings, although not very often because prices are on the higher side. However, it is clear that what they sell here is not only excellent food, but also an entire experience. The service provided by Bri and the manager Antonio was truly special, making every detail stand out. They made us feel welcome and comfortable, turning that moment into something we will remember for a long time.

The red fish is absolutely fabulous, everyone else has the pork chop which is extremely large and in charge. The pineapple ginger ale was perfect and refreshing…add grenadine for an uplifting experience. I call it the blossom. First it was Des Blossom but I think The Blossom is more fitting. Created by me!! The no flour cake will take you on a mouth watering ride of luxury!!!

Lovely vibe in middle of downtown next to well lit buildings around 830pm. Great interior of 1st and 2nd floor seating -Really liked the pork BBQ starter skewers. Sweet enough without the bbq sauce -Perrys house sparkling champagne w biscuit was delicious w dipping -Honestly, the main steak was good. But the outer crust tasted pretty salty that I could not enjoy the meat itself. Tried dipping it to A1 bbq sauce but that worsened it. -I would recommend the cold seafood tower! Fresh oysters and pretty ample salmon pieces to share all around. -Cool dessert fire show when you order Banana sugar frosting w ice cream and caramel drizzle! -Oh and semi casual dress code!

Japanese restaurant
Uchi Dallas is a sleek and modern Japanese restaurant located in Uptown. Since its opening in 2015, it has gained a reputation for its impressive menu and polished service. The sushi menu features a variety of fish flown in from Japan's Toyosu Market, offering classic favorites like salmon and tuna as well as unique options such as bluenose trevally and sea robin.
Had such a great time at the restaurant! The food was absolutely divine—every dish had so much flavor, and you can really tell that Chef David puts a lot of heart into what he does. Big compliments to the kitchen! The service was also top notch. LA and Patrick were both amazing—friendly and helpful. The vibe of the place was really chill and cozy, but still had a nice touch of style. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be coming back!

I came here on Mother’s Day to treat my mom, and it was an excellent choice. She absolutely loved the sushi and the drinks — everything was incredibly fresh and delicious. Despite how busy it was, the staff remained friendly and attentive, providing quick and efficient service. The atmosphere was lovely and welcoming. We had a great time, and I’m definitely planning to come back again soon!

Uchi Dallas is one of those places that somehow lives up to the hype—every single time. The food is always incredible, with flavors that are unexpected in the best way. It’s the kind of spot that works just as well for a business dinner as it does for a night out with friends. The food is next level, the drinks are spot-on, and the whole vibe is modern but still welcoming. You can also eat upstairs at their other concept, and honestly, both are amazing. Highly recommend if you’re into food that surprises you—in a really good way. EVERYTHING is REALLY good.

I usually don't write reviews for restaurants, and I never expected to find such a great sushi place in Dallas! This place has very high quality sushi. It was one of the best sushi I've ever tasted including all the sushi place I've ever been to in NYC, Japan, and Korea included. My server, Dani, was super knowledgeable and was genuinely a nice person. The dessert was also very interesting as well. I would definitely visit again if I'm in Dallas!

After having tried both Uchiko and Uchibā (Uchi sister restaurants) in Austin, we had to try Uchi in Dallas. It did not disappoint. We had the “somakase” which is a cool little option they have if you want to try multiple things but are worried that the chef’s tasting may be too little or too much food but also don’t really want to make decisions. Essentially the way it works is that your server will choose dishes for you based on your hunger level, budget, and preferences. You can do as many or as few as you’d like and if there is something you really like you can just ask for more of it. The service at the Uchi restaurants is always top notch and we love how everyone works together as one cohesive unit marking the service appear seamless from the delivery of the dishes to the clearing of plates and ensuring your beverages are always full. The food is timed perfectly so that the wait between courses is neither too long or too short. Empty plates are taken immediately after you have finished so that they are not sitting on the table for long periods of time. Service is smooth, efficient, and friendly and never seems cold or rushed. The food makes this one of our favorite restaurants to dine in as we always thoroughly enjoy our meals here. The food is based in Japanese cuisine with interesting twists and flavor combinations. Overall an excellent experience. One of the best fine dining places in Dallas. Cocktail list is small but very good. Highly recommend the Lychee Martini. They have a separate vegetarian menu. Uchi salad was very flavorful. Also recommend the crispy tofu maki, spicy crunchy and shag. Mango tapioca was great as well.
A M — Google review
I love Uchi and go a couple times a year since it’s close to home and always a reliable choice. The construction around it has been going on forever, so the area’s kind of a mess, but the food makes up for it. They keep a pretty high standard and most of what I’ve had is great. We did the omakase once and it was definitely creative, but a little too out there for me. One of the dishes was literally called “pond water,” which was a bit much. I’d rather do omakase at Shoyo or Tatsu. That said, Uchi’s great for fun bites like the Hama Chili, and their cocktails are always really good. Overall, it’s a fun spot for sushi!

Crushcraft Thai Eats offers a casual dining experience with a mix of traditional and modern Thai street food, along with sake and soju. Whether you're ordering takeout, dining in, or enjoying your meal at home, the restaurant ensures that every dish will leave you craving for more.
Came on Easter. They were open and not busy as expected, but what great service and what a vibe. I love this place. I had the drunken noodles and my picky daughter had a garlicky chicken. They were both great and she cleaned her bowl. What a great place. I’m definitely coming back. There area is really cool as well.
Steven P — Google review
We hadn’t been to crushcraft Thai Eats since they moved to their current location. The space is bright, colorful, and there is plenty of indoor seating and a large covered patio area. You order and pick up at the counter as well as bus your own table. But the staff is friendly and they cook up the food in a timely manner. The food itself is very good. The flavors are authentic and the portions are generous. If you’re craving tasty Thai food with an elevated fast food vibe, then head over to the Quad. You’ll be glad you did!
Grish240 — Google review
I love the food here. Everything I have ever ordered here came out delicious. The counter service is great and their patio is really nice and relaxing. My wife and I love to go here after a walk on the Katy trail and it never disappoints. For the vegetarians and Vegans out there, the tofu here is top notch.
Michael G — Google review
The first 2-3 times I had this place, it was great. I order the OG Phat Thai with chicken everytime. Each time I ordered, it was consistent in flavor and texture. The last two times I’ve gone it has not been the same. The first time, the noodles were overcooked and it tasted different than it normally does. I politely asked for a remake (because of course, when you’re craving your favorite place, you want it to taste the same), got a bit of back and forth from the cashier but they ultimately remade it and it was perfect, what I’m used to. Today I went, same thing, did not have the same taste and texture. I ask the cashier for a remake, stating the noodles tasted overcooked. She takes the bag to the chef and I overhear them (loudly) saying the noodles are not overcooked and that this is how they normally are. The cashier (the lady who answers the phone and usually wears a hat with a ponytail) also proceeds to say “she does this all of the time,” (I’ve asked for a remake once). The chef says back “if she does this again, you come get me.” I thought to pull out a photo of the noodles I’ve gotten in the past to show the difference but I was blown away by the unprofessionalism especially since I asked nicely. My noodles normally look like the photo attached but the last two times my meal didn’t have as much “sauce/flavoring/color” and the noodles have been very soft when they normally aren’t. I’m not sure if this relates to them making the noodles in bulk during rush hours. I spoke with the other cashier Chailendra to ask for a refund, she was very nice and processed my refund while they talked about me in the kitchen. This was my favorite place to come for good Thai, hopefully the customer service improves. The “us versus the customer,” mentality drives business away no matter how good the food is.
Sharria H — Google review
The atmosphere is welcoming. Open kitchen and everything made to order. Service was great. We got sunny B salad. Very light dressing, fresh crunchy vegetables and perfectly fried tofu. It was great. The drunken noodles with tofu was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. The khra See Ew dish with tofu was my favorite. It was packed with with flavor.

Crushcraft is a gem of a Thai spot in Uptown. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience feel personal and inviting from the moment you walk in. The food tastes incredibly fresh, with bold, authentic flavors that stand out. The papaya salad was a highlight—crisp, tangy, and perfectly balanced with just the right kick of heat. Grabbing a quick dinner on a Sunday night turned out to be a fantastic experience — I’ll definitely be coming back!

If you're on the hunt for authentic Thai cuisine, look no further than Ka-Tip Thai Street Food at the Dallas Farmers Market. This charming food stall specializes in dishes from Thailand's Isaan region, particularly their delightful sticky rice offerings. One standout dish is the yum woon sen, featuring clear noodles paired with crunchy celery, mushrooms, and ground chicken that transport your taste buds straight to Thailand with just one bite.
Good counter service style Thai place. Concise menu with some fun APAC chip flavors available too. Lots of chicken dishes and vegan options. I enjoyed the pad ka prow and dumplings. Good, if slightly under seasoned. Tables have additional seasonings available tho. Want to come back for the seafood pancake.

First time here. I really enjoyed my chicken grapow which has authentic flavors IMO versus the Americanized one typical here, good portions and fast efficient service. Parking is on the other side of a building in a paid lot they will validate.

Pickles M — Google review
I spent about a month in Isaan province of Thailand about 15 years ago, returned to NYC where I lived for 20 years and enjoyed authentic Thai food from various regions there, it’s much easier to do there, you hop on a train and wind up at one. Here, it’s tricky. You read a review, and maybe John or Suzy don’t know wtf they’re talking about, maybe they like sweet food, or think Taco Bell is spicy, but then you find a place like Ka-Tip. Or rather your ex-girlfriend does, one evening when she visits you and you stay in a nearby hotel, to catch Marc Maron at the theatre. Ka-Tip is unassuming when you get inside and you’d never know, but it’s some of the best Thai food in the state. Doesn’t matter what dish, just pick one and then come back for others. Haven’t had a bad dish yet. Been sporadically getting dinners here for years now. I borked my ankle up over last weekend and last night I just didn’t feel it or have enough variety of ingredients to make a sound meal at home, my usual, and I had a delicious meal from them delivered at home. It seems pricey, but I’m telling you, you get what you pay for, especially with the seafood dishes which have always been fresh seafood, which, as a former chef, surprised the hell out of me the first time I had one of the seafood heavy dishes. But it shouldn’t, because these wonderful people, came here for a better life and missed their food and wanted to share with others and make a living. What’s wrong with that? Nothing I tell ya. Bon Appetito.

Real Thai flavor! Compliments to the Chef! Why not Upgrade your service and presentation by using real and nice plates instead of paper disposable bowls/plates. Environmentally conscious especially in a farmers market.
Isabelle P — Google review
Absolutely! Here’s a more relaxed, humanized version of your review while keeping the positive tone intact: --- This little spot is so cute and cozy, located near the Farmer's Market and close to Downtown Dallas. There’s plenty of seating inside and a nice patio for when the weather’s good. The menu is pretty affordable, too. We were welcomed by Yuyee, who recommended a few dishes for us to try. I’d definitely ask about the spice level when you order, though! She even let us try some of their teas, which was a nice touch. I really enjoyed the vibe here, and I’m so glad I finally decided to check it out. We also picked up a couple of Thai snacks to go. I’ll definitely be back! 😋 **Fri 02/10/2023** – Came back, and Yuyee greeted us right away 😊. We chatted a bit, and she told us this is a family-owned spot that gets pretty busy on weekends. I had the Pad Thai, and when Yuyee saw Kim’s order, she asked if she was getting the same thing. I was really impressed she remembered us and what we ordered last time—that’s pretty awesome! Lunch was delicious, and the portions were more than generous. Great experience overall! I highly recommend you stop by and give it a try. 👍👍 --- Let me know if you want to tweak it more or adjust the tone for a specific platform!

Revolver Taco Lounge, located in Deep Ellum, is a family-run space with a lively atmosphere. The owner wanted to create a place where you can enjoy tacos with your family during the day and return for margaritas at night. The seating consists of a long black bar adorned with graffiti. While the tacos are not considered worth the price, visitors come here for the experience and vibrant ambiance, especially at night. Despite some unfortunate individuals asking for help outside, the staff handles them graciously.
A big group of us were visiting from out of town and went to the brunch buffet. It was about $40 a person after tax and it was well worth the price. They had coffee, water and agua fresca. It was some of the best coffee I’ve ever had! We all tried everything and went up for seconds. The favorites of the group were the poblano chicken, ribs and mole carnitas. A few of us also got cocktails and they were delicious. The food is incredible and there are amazing women making the tortillas in front of you. There are women walking around dishing out chilaquiles, tamales and burritos. I’d highly recommend stopping by.

If you want authentic Mexican food, go Sundays and have the brunch buffet. It’s worth every penny, homemade dishes to choose from and you can keep getting as much as you can eat. The señoritas who cook the food will make you feel like you are at home with fresh tortillas and fresh lemon water and coffee. Didn’t get to enjoy everything they had but definitely returning for more!

Yes, the octopus tacos are great. We had both kinds. I liked the flavors on the pulpo better than the pulpo pastor. Also loved the chicken birria tacos. Great combo. Brisket is a great choice, too. It's in a fun area of Dallas with lots of options. Service was good. They have a nice bar area and plenty of space outside for dining.

My party of 3 came in early on a Saturday, service and food was just okay, I was expecting better flavor for the hype and upscale price. I may come back to try their Sunday brunch, maybe that will be a better option.

Food is great. Tacos were made fresh and authentic with quality ingredients. Service was also excellent. I was the only person in the shop early in the evening and the staff gave me different hobenero sauces to try and all were great

This Deep Ellum taco bar has gotten a fair share of very positive press over the years, and the food here is quite good. The tacos are fresh and inventive, delivered on excellent handmade tortillas. Service here was a little off on my visit, however. It seems like servers are matching the quality of service more to the intentionally casual “street taco bar” atmosphere than the high menu prices dictate. That said, if you are in the area and don’t mind paying the elevated prices for great tacos and beer in a dive bar space, it’s a good option.
Ryan M — Google review
Great spot for tacos and such an amazing vibe. I came here on a Wednesday evening in January and they had the garage doors opens. Love the plants and overall feel. What was a bit of a damper was the amount of unfortunate individuals that were not well and asking us constantly for money or help. The staff here was gracious and kind in how they handled them but we had to keep an attentive eye on our stuff and couldn’t relax fully. As for the food, amazing. Get all the tacos! The shrimp and octopus was my favourite. Love the vegetarian ones too. The sauces are so flavourful. Service here is fantastic and highly recommend coming here

Meso Maya Comida y Copas is a trendy Mexican eatery that infuses contemporary flair into traditional Oaxaca- and Puebla-inspired recipes. The chefs at Meso Maya incorporate ancient Mayan cooking techniques and ingredients, drawing on culinary traditions from the Yucatan, Vera Cruz, and Chiapas. From rich adobos and salsas to hand-ground masa for tortillas, everything is made from scratch with a focus on historical cooking methods.
Authentic flavors and great service!” I had a wonderful experience at this Mexican restaurant. The food was fresh, flavorful, and tasted truly authentic. The tacos and enchiladas were perfectly seasoned, the guacamole was fresh and creamy, and the salsa had just the right kick. The portions were generous without being overwhelming. Big thanks for Fernando and the waitresses

While the alcoholic drinks and chips and salsa were excellent—the salsa has a great kick and the chips are among the best I’ve had—the overall dining experience fell short. I didn’t enjoy any of the main dishes, and unfortunately, I will not be returning. It’s worth noting that many of the dishes have undergone recipe changes, which I wasn’t made aware of until after the food was served. That’s something I believe should be disclosed upfront—either on the menu or while ordering—not after the fact. On a positive note, the service was outstanding. The staff was very attentive, and food arrived in five minutes or less, which I appreciated. Still, given the disconnect between the menu and the actual dishes served, the food simply didn’t meet expectations.

At the end of the dinner, they brought out a delicious slice of chocolate cake withorn ice cream, which I've never had before but was pleasantly surprised by! Can't recommend enough. Food was incredible, service was great, 10/10 I'll be back.

Went here to try the viral chicken caesar salad wrap and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! All the ingredients were fresh and it tasted so DAMN GOOD! Also the customer service was 10/10 everyone and I mean everyone that I encountered helped me in any way possible with a smile on their face. Cannot wait to return with my family and friends.

Our First visit... So disappointing our pizza had to get completely cold before we could find someone to get some extra sauce or pizza was almost sauce-less. I kept telling us No... 5 people later!!! We got some squad!! But the pizza was absolutely fantastic So much to choose from!! Enormous shrimp, and lobster tails. AGAIN... Cold food, hot food, food to stay, food to go Yum Yum Yum

Great little deli with a lot of yummy food inside. Amazing sandwiches and salads both pre-made and custom. Large variety of drinks and bread. Also the sweets are delicious, particularly the key lime pie, chocolate cake and my favorite the huge cinnamon roll. You get what you pay for though and you get a lot. In my opinion we'll worth it!

A fun and pretty affordable food option for people looking for either a fresh sandwich or salad. I enjoyed how many options they offer but I wish there were some suggested sandwiches so you didn’t have to think so much.

It’s not often that I see extraordinary customer service. So, I was surprised when I had to return something to Eatzies on Oak Lawn. The manager was kind and discrete. She acknowledges that the item had a problem. And quickly offered to replace it or return my money. This, on a crazy Texas OU weekend and at lunchtime. I asked if there was water, to which the girl quickly called the back to get , asking if I wanted ice. We ate in the back, and the girl working the very busy counter saw that my husband’s tea was low and quietly took it, put more ice in it and tea a put back on our table. It’s mind boggling. They deserve praise for their level of service.

Disclaimer – I have been eating here before there was ever a social media in existence. I have been eating here when I was in college and the Internet is just becoming a thing. I used to eat here multiple times a week. In my eyes, these people can do no wrong. It was the most affordable and delicious food for a student eat. When I stop by, I still find the prices extremely reasonable and the food just as healthy as ever. My pictures and videos can’t do it justice. It’s a huge selection and no matter your diet, there will be something here for you.

Subject: Unacceptable Experience – Poor Quality, Rude Staff, and Unsanitary Conditions To the Eatzi’s Oak Lawn Team, I’m writing to express our serious disappointment with a recent visit, and to share why we won’t be returning. We came in to purchase a cake for our sister’s birthday after having a fantastic experience with a previous one. Unfortunately, what we received this time was an embarrassment. The cake was dry, flavorless, and clearly not made with the same level of care or quality. It was a major letdown on a day that was meant to be special. On top of that, the customer service was awful. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and acted like we were a burden rather than paying customers. There was no basic courtesy or professionalism. And to make matters worse, as we considered purchasing additional food, we caught a glimpse into the kitchen area. What we saw was completely unacceptable. dirty floors and visible mold on the shelving. After seeing that, we immediately decided not to buy anything else. It was disturbing and completely undermined any confidence we had in the cleanliness or safety of your food. We came in expecting quality and hospitality. Instead, we left disappointed, frustrated, and concerned. I’m not looking for a gift card or apology template, I just want you to know how far this experience fell from what Eatzi’s used to represent.

I ordered a 9-inch cake, but they sent me a 4-inch instead. There’s no option for a refund—what bad service! I’ve been ordering the same cake every month, and this has never happened before.

Hamburger restaurant
Restaurant
Nestled in a charming former gas station, Maple & Motor is a delightful eatery that captures the essence of classic American dining. This popular spot serves up an array of specialty burgers and nostalgic Southern favorites like bologna sandwiches and BLTs, all prepared with simplicity and flavor in mind. With its retro vibe reminiscent of 50s diners, it offers a warm atmosphere where you can enjoy mouthwatering old-school hamburgers cooked to perfection on a flat top grill.
This place has an absolutely delicious burger and sides. The star of the show may be the tots or onion. The tots portion was huge and packed full of flavor. The onion rings had a perfect balance of opinion to bread. The fries were good, but I think sides wise it would rank tots, onion rings, then fries. The chicken sandwich was quite good, but the burger reigns supreme. The burger was cooked perfectly and definitely seasoned right. Staff were friendly and showed great attentiveness. Overall if you want a tasty meal this is definitely the place to be.

Solid burgers, a good brisket sandwich, and great beer-batter onion rings. The food was prepared quickly and they bus the tables. It’s definitely a top 5 burger joint in Dallas.

Excellent Burger and Fries/onion rings at Maple and Motor. The burger was juicy delicious! Great customer service. The interior of restaurant has much charm and a unique atmosphere! Many other items on menu. Highly recommend fir a unique experience with great food.

After arriving at Dallas Love Field, we decided to grab lunch at Maple and Motor. The parking lot isn’t very big, so finding a spot can be a bit tricky. If it's full, you might be able to park at the Starbucks across the street for overflow. Walking in, the place gives off that old-school charm, kind of like those diners, drive-ins, and dives with Guy Fieri's signature. It definitely kept its classic vibe. We ordered the half-pound bacon cheeseburger, made with finely ground American beef, flat-grilled in its own juices. It was topped with all the Texas essentials: bacon, pepper Jack cheese, grilled red onions, lettuce, and ketchup. Honestly, it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in Dallas, served on a hot, toasted bun that had been perfectly grilled. The flavor of the burger and the quality of the bun were both fantastic. The fries we got as a side were good, but next time, I think I’ll try the onion rings instead.
Austin E — Google review
As soon as we landed in Dallas, Maple & Motor was recommended. In less than 10 minutes, we were walking into a small burger joint to order at the counter and slide into a booth. The interior is painted in dark tones and has large windows in the front illuminating the space. The burgers and fries were beautiful! The burger buns were so soft and fluffy, the patty and the flavors were fresh and mended perfectly. The jalapeños and carrots on the fries had subtle heat and the cheese was real!
Allie J — Google review
I found this place on Google and loved all the great reviews…especially the ones referring to these as the best burgers in the DFW area. I personally didn’t agree with that, but my nephew and father thought the burgers were great! I felt they could have been seasoned a little more and were a little too dry for me. We tried the fries, tots and onion rings. The onion rings were definitely the best, with the tots being the runner up. The fries were just okay. We could have gone without them. I liked the different flavor options on their soda machine. The bathroom could use a little tlc; it looked a little scary. However the vibe of the restaurant was cute and customer service was on point.
Erinne M — Google review
We asked a local who had the best burger in Dallas, and they were so right! Enjoyed every bite, and the service was friendly! If in Dallas, bring a hat to leave and enjoy the burgers!

Nothing fancy or pretentious here, just outstanding juicy meaty burgers! Make sure you have plenty of napkins. Everything hot and fresh delivered to your table after you order at the counter. Sides are excellent as well, onion rings and french fries.

Pie shop
Restaurant
Emporium Pies is an upscale shop that offers a seasonal menu featuring creative variations of classic pies. The cozy establishment in Deep Ellum is a must-visit, especially for those craving a delightful slice of pie. Customers rave about the seasonal flavors like snowball and peppermint, with the former being a clear favorite for its light and perfect sweetness.
Last night, we stopped by Emporium Pies for the first time, and I was excited to finally try their famous “Lord of the Pies.” As a deep-dish apple pie lover, I had high expectations—and let me tell you, this pie did not disappoint! If only I could have warmed it up and paired it with some vanilla bean ice cream, it would have been absolute perfection. Even without it, this apple pie was beyond incredible. Each slice is a masterpiece, featuring a towering 4-inch depth packed with ten freshly peeled and chopped apples. These apples are baked to tender perfection in the bakery’s rich, house-made caramel, giving each bite the perfect balance of sweetness and warmth. But what really takes this pie to the next level is the crispy cinnamon streusel topping, which adds just the right amount of crunch and spice. Encased in a buttery, flaky crust that melts in your mouth, this dessert is the definition of comfort food with a gourmet twist. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Deep Ellum, Emporium Pies is a must-visit, and “Lord of the Pies” should be at the top of your list. It’s easily one of the best apple pies I’ve ever had, and I highly recommend it to anyone with a sweet tooth. Next time, I’m definitely coming back with a scoop of ice cream to complete the experience!
Jayde H — Google review
This was my first time at this Emporium Pies location but my second time at an Emporium Pies and I was slightly underwhelmed. I got the Bonnie + Pie’d and they didn’t even ask if I wanted it here or to go, they just boxed it up to go. I then went to open it right away at one of the tables inside and I’m not sure if this is what all the pies look like or if this is what this one is supposed to look like but it was falling over and presented poorly. For a positive, it tasted good! We were given wooden forks in the to go package and they were a bit uncomfortable to use after a few bites. The customer service was fine, nothing special and unfortunately their only restroom was out of service. I was hoping for a slightly better experience given the raving reviews.
Tatum P — Google review
Oh my pie! What a cute spot. And the pie tasted even better than this place looks. Lots of options. We went with the chocolate and peach flavors. So good that we inhaled them before we could get a pic. The packaging is so cute and works great to transport carry-out orders. Fabulous!

We stopped by to grab a couple of slices of pie because my daughter suggested it. I had the Bonnie & Pied and peach (never got to try the peach), but the Bonnie & Pied was super tasty. It wasn’t too rich, which is what my fear was. It was so yummy - I would definitely get it again!

If a piece of pie is worth $8 this would be it! The help wasn't friendly and the atmosphere was a little bland. I was the.only customer on a Saturday when the street was busy. They might want to make a better impression than with just the pie itself.

The pie is so good that I have to post my husband's piece - mine was gone in 2 minutes! Staff is great. 🤗 Can't wait to come back when it's cooler and enjoy the patio.

We had the wonderful experience of having Emporium Pies for desert for our wedding on 4/19/24 and it was the best option ever! We were able to go to the bakery and sit down, eat pie, and talk about our pastry vision we wanted, it was a dream. We got something like 60 slices for 45 people and a whole apple pie to cut into, it was all so delicious! They delivered to the venue on time. Even our gluten free guests had an option. If you're thinking about booking for your wedding or event I would highly encourage it! Thanks Emporium pies! Photos courtesy of Jamie Park Photo

The Dallas Farmers Market is a bustling marketplace in the heart of Downtown, offering an array of farm-fresh produce, meats, honey, and specialty foods. Visitors can explore The Shed Pavilion for organic foods and handcrafted items on Saturdays and Sundays. Additionally, The Market Shops provide a daily food hall experience with artisanal foods. This market aims to promote a healthier lifestyle by supporting local agriculture through its diverse offerings.
My husband and I just had an amazing experience! The grilled cheese guy is incredible! I asked him for his top sandwich pick, and he recommended the best choice. Not only was his suggestion spot on, but he was also super friendly. We stopped here for delicious cheeses and were impressed. Additionally, the people who set up the pumpkin displays did an amazing job! Just a heads up: it's pay-to-park, but it was worth it.

Absolutely loved my time at the Dallas Farmers Market! From the bustling energy of Sunday afternoon to the delightful variety of vendors, this place is a gem in the heart of Dallas. Inside, the 26,000 sq ft food hall and artisanal vendor space is alive with cafés, local restaurants, gift boutiques, and specialty food shops open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. On the weekends, The Shed opens as an open-air pavilion (Saturdays 9–5, Sundays 10–5) where farmers, ranchers, and food artisans bring seasonal produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods, and more. The variety is impressive, from fresh fruits and vegetables to artisan crafts and made-to-order meals. Add in live music, community vibes, the joy of sampling, and friendly local faces, and every turn feels like a discovery. The only downside? Parking. It’s on-site and paid, but during peak times (like Sunday afternoons), it’s nearly impossible to find a spot. Arrive earlier or be prepared to walk a bit. But truly, this place is a must-visit for locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re a foodie, lover of local crafts, or just in the mood for a fun, sensory adventure, bring your appetite, your sense of wonder (and maybe your walking shoes).

Amazing experience at Dallas Farmers Market! I absolutely love visiting the Dallas Farmers Market — it’s one of my favorite weekend spots in the city. The atmosphere is so lively and welcoming, with a perfect mix of local farmers, food vendors, artisans, and small businesses. You can really feel the community vibe here. The produce section is always fresh, colorful, and full of variety. I’ve picked up everything from juicy peaches and organic greens to handmade honey and fresh flowers. The local farmers are super friendly and happy to share tips about their products or how they’re grown. Inside The Market building, there’s such a great range of food options. It’s the perfect place to come hungry and try a little bit of everything. The coffee spots and dessert stalls are a must-try too! Parking is pretty convenient, especially if you come earlier in the day. There’s plenty of shaded seating areas where you can relax, enjoy your food, and listen to live music on weekends. It’s also very clean and well maintained, which makes the overall experience even better. If you’re visiting Dallas or even a local looking for a fun and fresh weekend plan, the Dallas Farmers Market is a must-visit. It perfectly captures the local flavor, creativity, and spirit of the community. I always leave with a smile, full stomach, and a few new favorites to bring home! 🌿🍓🥖

In-N-Out Burger is a beloved fast-food chain known for its customizable burgers, hand-cut fries, and shakes. With a cult-like following, it has gained popularity for its juicy and pridefully made burgers. The chain's commitment to using fresh ingredients sets it apart from other American fast-food options like McDonald's or Burger King. Despite the limited menu choices, the quality of the food makes it a recommended stop for those craving classic American fast food.
Great location & I’ve been to more than I can count since 1990 starting in Cali thru Nevada, Arizona and east to Texas. Consistent service & quality. Always fresh, made to order at a great value. Even with inflation you can’t beat the price for value. Dbl dbl mustard grilled with well done fries.

We are originally from California, so In-N-Out Burger holds a special place in our hearts. Every time we travel to Dallas, we make it a priority to stop in for a meal, and this visit did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant felt clean, welcoming, and true to the brand we know and love. The staff greeted us with friendly smiles and took our order quickly, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. The food, as always, was fresh and delicious. Our burgers were cooked perfectly, with that signature flavor that is impossible to replicate anywhere else. The lettuce and tomatoes were crisp, the buns were soft, and the cheese melted just right. The fries were hot and golden, and we couldn’t resist pairing everything with their classic shakes. It’s rare to find fast food that tastes this fresh and consistent, and In-N-Out has mastered it. Even though we’ve enjoyed In-N-Out countless times back home, there’s something special about getting it here in Dallas—it’s like a taste of home while on the road. Every visit reminds us why we love this place so much. Great food, great service, and always worth the trip!

First time experiencing this "raving place" and I was not impressed. The first burger I was given the bun was rock hard. So I had to drive to the front and wait for them to remake. The line was hellaciously long to begin with and they're trying to mimic chik fil a (without the quick moving line).... fail. The size of this burger is that of a kiddie burger. The fries were all the end pieces. The medium drink resembled a child's siE drink. Complete mirage pn what everyone is raving about this place. No way does it even compare to a sonic and dang sure doesn't compare to whataburger.

Gemma is a casual and relaxed restaurant with a coastal California vibe, offering a variety of New American cuisine and signature cocktails. The restaurant's decor exudes a Mediterranean feel with its blue and white tones, creating a modern, stylish, and cozy atmosphere. Located in the heart of Henderson Avenue, Gemma is known for its well-crafted yet relatively simple menu featuring small plates and innovative entrees.
Got seated immediately at the bar at 5:30 on a weeknight and was served by Carlos, who was attentive and helpful in recommending dishes. The paradelle (rabbit pasta) and duck fat tater tots were great, and the complementary scone was good, but the real star of the show was the Strawberry/Pistachio Semifreddo. It was refreshing and light, perfect for the summer. One of the servers had mentioned that she thinks it's the best dessert and I can see why. I've truly never had any dessert quite like it.
Joseph — Google review
I’ve been dining at Gemma for 11 years now since I moved to Dallas in 2014. It has remained a constant place of comfort in an ever changing restaurant scene in Dallas. The food is spectacular and NEVER disappoints. The staff and service is even better. I probably eat there 2-3 times a month now. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but if you’re a first timer you’ve got to try the rabbit pappardelle. Thank you to all the staff (front of house, bar tenders, and kitchen staff) for creating just an absolutely lovely restaurant.

We stopped by Gemma without a reservation and were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were seated. The restaurant has a charming outdoor patio that adds to the cozy atmosphere. For starters, we ordered the Heirloom Beets. Personally, I wasn’t a fan of the mint finish,. For mains, I tried the Sakura Pork Secreto — it was just okay and not something I’d order again. My partner, however, had the Grass-Fed Bavette Steak and it was excellent — tender, flavorful, and absolutely worth coming back for. The real highlight was dessert. We shared the Crème Brûlée with vegan coconut ice cream, and it was out of this world — creamy, decadent, and perfectly balanced. A must-try! On top of the food, the service stood out. I have a dairy sensitivity, and our server was incredibly thoughtful and accommodating with my dietary needs, which made the experience even better. Overall, Gemma delivers a wonderful dining experience with standout dishes (especially the steak and dessert) and warm, attentive service. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Dallas!

Gemma – 4.5⭐️ Had an excellent dinner at Gemma on Saturday. Our waiter, Anthony, was fantastic! Very friendly, attentive, and really added to the experience. The meal started with warm scones served with salted butter, and they were absolutely delicious. We tried the fried olives and pecans, burrata, and hamachi crudo. All were outstanding and full of fresh, clean flavor. I ordered the Filet au Poivre for my main course, and it was one of the best filet mignons I’ve had in Dallas. Perfectly cooked, tender, and served with great frites and creamed spinach. For dessert, we split an apple crisp and gianduja chocolate tart that were both good, though not the highlight compared to the rest of the meal. Overall, Gemma is a gem of a spot with great food, friendly service, and a cozy, elevated vibe. I’ll definitely be back!

Amazing! The atmosphere is top notch and romantic. Looking around, not a lot of phones out, just people talking to one another as it should be. Jeremy was our server and he was one of the best waiters we've ever had. He was funny, explained a lot of the dishes in an easy to digest manner, and gave great recommendations. The food was top notch. On par with some michelin starred places. We will absolutely be back. Do yourself a favor and book a reservation here.

One of my favorite places to have dinner in Dallas! Gemma is a perfection. Great service , fantastic food ( you can literally close your eyes and point at anything on the menu and you will love it !) , spacious enough so no one will be bumping into you. We had dinner there the other night after leaving Sister ( disappointed) and Phillip was so nice to fit us in. We had oysters- amazingly fresh , hamachi crudo - exceptional fish quality , beef carpaccio- perfect slices paired with some cheese and greens, then we moved onto pasta - I’m not a big fan of pasta dishes as I’m extremely picky about it but i kept sticking my fork into my husband’s plate and that says A LOT, I was also pleased to see a quail dish on the menu- deep fried it was crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside, finished with some espresso and affogato. I’m always happy to see coffee machines at restaurants and to see affogato as a dessert option at Gemma - it was a perfect ending to our meal.

Bubba's Cooks Country in Dallas is a beloved retro-style diner that has been serving up homemade country cooking for over 40 years. Located near Southern Methodist University, this classic spot offers comfort food classics like crispy fried steak, creamy gravy, fluffy buttermilk biscuits, and classic sides such as green beans, mashed potatoes, and black-eyed peas. The Art Deco-style diner also features a drive-thru for added convenience.
The chicken is salty and moist with a fresh fried crispy skin. This place is a must do for anyone new in the area, because Texas isn't only known for BBQ- we've got the best fried chicken and Bubba's is the place to get it. I recommend against getting a breast only because it's huge. Get drumsticks thighs and wings and you'll be more than satisfied. Oh, and do NOT forget to get an extra side of gravy.

Food was really good. Ordered the 3 piece with yams, and beans. Everything was good. When at the counter ready to order u guess the manager was there, spoke to everyone but me...I was a little surprised. Maybe she felt like I was ok. But anyways, the counter help was not to friendly, just do you want to order. Not very welcoming. But again the food was good

My sister frequents this restaurant every month when she visits Dallas and raves about the down home flavors. I had a chance to visit with her and had an overall pleasant experience. My only critique is that although the chicken fried steak, fried chicken and catfish were fried to perfection, they were significantly over salted on this particular day. The sides were tasty and delicious and the service was excellent! Our order was served hot, with professionalism, courtesy and a warm smile! I look forward to visiting the next time I'm in Dallas!

Fuel City Dallas is a popular spot located in a gas station, known for its 24/7 street tacos. The simple yet traditional soft tacos have won awards and are highly praised by locals. In addition to inexpensive gas and cold beer, the location features a longhorn steer and a decorative swimming pool. Customers can customize their tacos with various proteins, salsas, onions, cilantro, and lime juice. Fuel City has become an institution in Dallas for consistently serving excellent tacos over the years.
Great food, cheap prices, and my son loves the dinosaur. We stopped in today on our way to HPP Racing because my son saw the dinosaur and wanted to see it up close.. Cold drinks good prices and food. The service is pretty fast even during lunch run.

My usual stop for some breakfast tacos when heading to S. Dallas. It's a little tricky to get there from the highway. But worth the detour. They are tasty and full of flavor. The Pastor are my favorite on corn tortillas with salsa. They also have lunch/dinner tacos in late hours. You can order at the window or go inside. Cash only. Worth a stop for some authentic street style tacos! Don't forget a pic with Sasquatch!

Great stop, in the middle of town, friendly staff. Semi clean restrooms. Barbacoa meet at the taco stand was delicious, beef is just ok. There are baker's meet every Saturday from what i had gathered.

that was the middle of the1 past the middle and it was in between that in the beginning of a new day sunshine time and I love your city. Dammit they got the store locked up. You have to do business through the window if you want tacos or if you want something from the convenience store to pay for fuel, maybe same thing go to the window well, I asked, but they wouldn’t let me pee in the window. so if you happen to be in the neighborhood and need to pee, hopefully it’s not in the wee hours

This place is run by capable business owners. They use eclectic outdoor decor, have generally-lower prices on gas on average, and, have vendors on-site for delicious, authentic-style Maize, Arroyo, tacos, etc. Issues include some elements being cash-only, and it can be difficult to reach.

Decent place to stop at, the bathrooms in particular are decently clean, although limited, especially for the Men's bathroom... but if that's my only takeaway? The staff were professional and courteous, although they kept to the registers. There's a decent selection of products all over, even some I've never seen prior to visiting at the end of a work day. Parking LOOKS a little limited, being that Fuel City here shares the building with another business, but there is more parking, especially for larger trucks around the back. Maybe next time I stop by, I'll be able to take a better look around and update my review. But 4/5 ain't bad!

Nice clean store & bathrooms. Large selection of snacks & various COLD drinks. Let's not forget about the TACOS!! Flavorful street tacos and sauces. Reasonably portioned and priced!! Very tender barbacoa!! Pastor was so yummy!! Can get busy, if so expect a delay.
Oscar D — Google review
This was quite standard for a convenience store and gas station. Inside, ice cold beer even at 10:30 am, coffee, coolers with drinks and snacks. But you're not here for that. You're here for the Fuel City Tacos, which I was told are the best tacos in Texas. We'll find out soon enough. Good parking but it's a big city and it's close to downtown so be sure your doors are locked, especially at night. Be aware of your surroundings and people walking towards you. I got a cold bottle of water to enjoy with the tacos.

Uncle Uber's Sammich Shop is a vibrant and quirky sandwich spot located in Deep Ellum, Dallas. Since 2011, it has been a popular destination for those seeking delicious and creative sandwiches. The menu features around twelve diverse selections, including options like the shaved ribeye steak on baguette with grilled red onions and blue cheese, as well as vegetarian-friendly choices such as the Vietnamese-inspired veggie BunMe.
One of the best low key sandwiches in all of Deep Ellum!! We tried the Clara Peller Sandwich with the Sweet Potato Waffle Fries and it was absolutely delicious!! If they can add a sauce for the waffle Fries it would take them over the top!! Staff was super friendly and made a great food recommendation. If you're looking for a drink or a quick bite to eat this is a solid stop while in the area.

Over priced disappointment. This is the definition of a dive bar, except we ended up paying $30 for two average sandwiches. I was initially surprised after reading the nearly 1600 positive reviews of this place! Everything looked amazing (see photos) but at the end of the day it needs to taste good. Pros: - large portions - fast service - quality presentation Cons: - overpriced - under-seasoned meat - bland texture - tasted reheated - paid parking - sketchy location - terrible atmosphere I went for lunch with a friend and tried the goat cheese and bacon club and the slow roasted pork sandwich. Both tasted like they made them the day before and heated them up! Very unfortunate experience for such a highly rated establishment. The goat cheese was the only good thing to say about the fist sandwich. Bread was soggy, tomatoes too thickly cut, bacon was cheap, and cucumbers were unnecessary garnish. The fries tasted reheated as well. The pulled pork was disappointingly dry for a rub based meat. No sauce, no marinade, no unique seasoning to speak of. Extremely unoriginal. This is very clearly a bar first and a restaurant second. In summary: either I hit this place on an off day, or this is a mediocre place with inflated reviews from bar patrons. Edit: I went back to make sure it wasn’t an off day, and it was the same the second time. Don’t waste your time or money here.

I had lunch here, it was delicious. I got the chicken salad with alvacado and bacon and habanaro ranch. It was all fresh and juicy, very good romaine. I loved it. Also, I tried 3 different mixed drinks, amaretto, red headed Irish, and Washington and they were all made perfectly. Lauren was our tender/waitress, she was so kind and fast. Absolutely loved it. Also, the parking can be difficult, and it is on a one way street, bit you can pay to park in a lit two doors Down and it's only 4-6$ so not too bad. Tons of other restaurants and stuff around them also. Out of 5 I would give them a 4.7, definitely great for socializing and a quick bite.

This is a hole in the wall but absolutely worth checking out!! Our server was running the show and despite doing it all, we had excellent service and the food was fantastic!! Enormous hamburgers, delicious fries, and definitely don’t overlook the sandwich menu! Philly cheesesteak was amazing. I’m looking forward to coming back!

*This is a late post! I’m so behind on posting* This place is feels like the TV Show “Cheers” I am sure this has to be a local lunch hot spot! First thing first! The barkeep was the coolest guy I’ve met in a longtime! He was entertaining and happened to know some of the lyrics to Hanson “MMMBOP” *also there was a patron that sing the entire song* The lemonade here is also amazing & if you’ve read my other reviews you know I love lemonade! The chicken sandwich was much better than the steak sandwich! This is the reason I typically get two meals! I have nothing bad to say about Uncle Uber’s! The place is super lax! And the food is typical bar food! I would definitely say give this place a try!
Omari K — Google review
Came here for lunch and loved it. We each got a burger. It was flavorful with a great bun. I loved how thin the onions were cut and the sauce was great too. Not sure exactly what “Uber sauce” is but it didn’t taste like the typical special sauce (aka some sort of thousand island variation) that a lot of other burger places have. The fries were great too. You get a lot to an order but they were so good we managed to polish them off. The fountain drink section wasn’t huge but did have a number of specialty sodas to choose from which was a nice surprise. We don’t make it to Deep Ellum often, but this would be our go-to spot for a budget friendly meal in the area.

Update: Back again. Had the shaved ribeye with jalapeños. So so good. What a cool place. I had the bacon and goat cheese sandwich and it was fantastic. My wife had the Happy Hippie sandwich and said it was the best sandwich she's ever had. The hand cut fries were amazing. The service was great and folks were very friendly. Great place.
Bob T — Google review
Ordered a smoking turkey, the Cuban, a double and a side of fries with the habanero ranch for the side sauce. Food came out pretty quick! The smoking turkey has a nice garlic butter toasted bread. The Cuban was done fairly well although bits of the pork were dry. The fries came with a slight cajun like seasoning and were nothing spectacular but were good. They are just french fries so hard to mess those up! The double was the end game. This burger tasted great! I really enjoyed it and this burger is enough to come here for if you're not a fan of the regular sammiches.

Local is a stylish eatery located in the historic Boyd Hotel building, offering seasonal New American dishes in a retro-chic setting. The menu, curated by owner and chef Tracy Miller, features a seven-course chef tasting option as well as à la carte choices such as pan-seared lobster cakes and balsamic glazed wild salmon. The restaurant serves wine and beer, along with creative cocktails like the prosecco mojito and sake pear martini.
Hidden gem in elm street! We really enjoyed all the food and the wine! Great place to bring family and friends! We have to say the BEST short rib in the town!! It melts in your mouth! About parking: there is a parking lot next to the restaurant, we have to pay and they comp it from the bill.

Went here on a Tuesday and it was solid and I’d be down to try it again. The flavor of everything was fantastic. Fried green berms were great. The beef short rib was a little dry and the menu doesn’t have cocktails. Just sake and wine based drinks. Service was excellent
Travis M — Google review
We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing! The food was great! Pretty traditional and a little on the salty side, but I like that! It was a quiet night with only 3 other groups (of 2 or 3 people) there the whole two hours we were dining. The server (Nathan) was very friendly, fast, and explained everything well. We parked in the paid lot next door to the restaurant (it was $18), which was convenient! There were several street parking spots nearby, but they were all taken on a Friday night.

Great Food and Service, but Small Portions and Not the Best Location. The place opens at 5:30pm on Saturday and they validate parking in the lot right next to them. The inside is nice. But, the location, overall and in general, isn't prime real estate for this type of restaurant. This restaurant is needed in the area though, to balance from the fast and comfort food. The service was great and the food was great. My wife and her friend had the burger. My wife's husband and I both had the Sea Bass. They bring out this little thing of heated nuts that's an awesome snack/appetizer. The chocolate cake was good too. But, the portions are small for the price. The portions were pretty European, but the price was still very American.

I was very impressed. Good size portions, the waiter was timely, considerate, and polite. My only regret is I didn't have enough time for dessert. I'll be back when I have more time.

Visiting from Chicago and was greeted by Keiston and guided to our table. He was knowledgeable on the dishes and gave GREAT recommendations. This place was incredible, from the ambience, to presentation, to the food everything was perfect. Tracy the chef came out to say hello which was just the icing on top of an absolutely incredible dinner. Will 100% be back and I highly recommend!

Phenomenal food. Tracy Miller is a genius, who is an artist in the kitchen, the Mozart of cooking. Every dish was truly a beautiful piece of art, with each course bursting with amazing flavor. Great variety on the menu, elevated & creative American food. Truly a magical eating experience, can’t wait to go back & try the chefs tasting 9 course meal :D

If you have the opportunity to do the tasting menu here, do it!! What a treat! It was such a great sampling of their delicious dishes. Soups, fish, beef, dessert...wines paired perfectly. I'll be back for a standard dinner to have the sea bass.... that dish stole the show for me. Fantastic!! The staff was awesome, each dish was described, each wine introduced. Courses came out at a perfect pace. The ambience inside is very minimal, not too fancy not-- too laid back. Just a really clean modern vibe. It was a perfect anniversary celebration. I'm looking forward to going back.

Taqueria La Ventana is a laid-back Mexican eatery that offers street-inspired tacos, bowls, and burritos along with margaritas and beer. The fast-casual taco spot features a variety of simple yet flavorful street taco creations. Customers recommend ordering more than just a few items if you're hungry as the food is delicious. The lengua tacos are particularly praised for their texture and flavor.
Great Authentic Mexican Food in Downtown Dallas! First time in downtown Dallas and I saw their reviews and menu. There is public parking by the resturant and easy to walk to. You order at "la ventana" (window) and find a seat. There are many coverings and it is dog friendly so our little dog got to sit under the table with us. We had the tacos de pastor and carne asada. We also had elote, chips and guacamole. I also tried the aguas frescas: jamica and horchata. Delicious on this warm day. Everyone that I interacted with was very nice and checked in on us. They have different salsas available and you can ask for takin. There are alcoholic beverages too and this would be a fun place with friends in the evening.

This was a random find, that was absolutely 🔥!! Paid for parking then after realizing that this restaurant validated parking... #Winning Music was playing, you could smell the food from the parking lot... This place is a total vibe! I can imagine this place is popping when the weather cools down a bit. Went to order and asked for recommendations... The Barbacoa Tacos came highly recommended, so I got 2 and I grabbed a Jarritos Mandarin Soda. But he time I found a seat and got settled, here came the food. The tacos looked good and tasted incredible!!! LET'S GOOOO!!! I'll definitely be back and I highly recommend! ⭐

I was craving tacos and wanted to switch it up a bit so I tried this place. I’m glad I did because the tacos were bursting with flavor! The only downside is that the barbacoa was way too fatty. The meat I was able to get was tender and flavorful. I also enjoyed the elotes and margarita! The patio was very spacious and had jenga on some of the tables. Perfect setting for a group but also great for singles!

Taqueria La Ventana is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Mexican food! The food is absolutely delicious—fresh, full of flavor, and made with care. Dairy-Ette is a classic 1950s-style drive-in located near Bishop Lynch High School in Casa View. This retro fast-food spot has been serving up delicious old-school hamburgers, fries, shakes, malts, and housemade root beer since 1956. You can either dine inside the vintage red vinyl booths or park outside and have a carhop take your order.
Since 1956, the Dairyette has been a Dallas tradition still located on Ferguson Road. If you like Retrô food, that tastes exactly as it did in 1956, you should stop by here. They even brew their own root beer and serve it in a frosted mug. You can’t beat that with a stick!
Charlie — Google review
The burger was a bit dry, how ever it is very large burger. The fries were a bit greasy, too soaked for me to eat them. The shake however was so good. Overpriced for sure $19 plus tips.
Hcbekardi — Google review
I went here because my brother mentioned the burgers here were “pretty good” but noted that they made good homemade root beer and onion rings. I ordered a single patty bacon cheeseburger, an order of onion rings and 1 medium root beer float. Right or wrong just from looking at the building outside I didn’t expect a high cost to my order but to my surprise my order was $23.16. That to me is definitely an insane cost for what I ordered and what I would think would be expected for a luxury burger restaurant. Did the quality match the insane cost? Short answer? Definitely not. The bun was dry and the bacon was super dry. Nothing special. I liked the size of the onion rings but I wasn’t fond of the specific batter used. I prefer more thick batter and this was the opposite of that. The root beer float I was hoping would at least be noteworthy to salvage everything else but I can’t say it was exceptional or anything. For me personally I wouldn’t come back here again. Far superior burgers and onion rings outside of here and at a much cheaper price importantly.
Luke — Google review
The BEST burger you can find. It is a small place with AMAZING staff that clearly love what they do. The onion rings are lightly battered, the tots have a great crunch and the burger patty is moist and just the right size. A must do if you are near the North East side of Dallas
Julianne C — Google review
Hole in the with limited indoor seating and carhops serving outside. Reasonable prices for what they offer. The fries could be a little crispier, but the portion was generous. The burger was above average, but the bun was slightly stale. This was all forgiven when I took a sip of the house made Root Beer. I would stop traffic to take the whole tank home.
Julie W — Google review
Got stood up on my date so instead I went to Dairyette post walking at the Arboretum. The dairyette burger reminded me of the BootsBurger I had in Rockwall! The patty is crispy but still meaty, the right amount of condiments and pickles! Idk why I didn’t come sooner!
Simon M — Google review
I came here for the first time and opted to walk in and dine inside the restaurant rather than use the drive in. I ordered a root beer float which was more like a cup of soft serve ice cream with a splash of root beer. It wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t get it again and I wish it had more root beer. I also ordered a side of onion rings which never came out. I asked the server if they were being made and he apologized and said the order wasn’t put in. The server was nice but overall the experience was mediocre and I don’t think I’ll be back.

Cris and John is a Vietnamese street food restaurant located in North Texas, offering a variety of dishes such as pho, ramen burritos, banh mi, tacos, buns, dumplings, bao buns and chicken wings. The menu features reasonably priced items like $6 dumplings (served five to an order), $3.75 bao buns and $8 per half-dozen chicken wings.
Finally tried out Cris and John, and we were beyond impressed! Even with the thunderstorm and the long lines inside and outside, we didn’t hesitate and it was absolutely worth it. We waited about 25 minutes in line, and every minute was worth it! Their passion for blending Vietnamese and Mexican flavors shines through in every dish. Each item we tried was packed with mouthwatering fusion that perfectly balanced both cuisines. Hands down, one of the best fusion spots in DFW, highly recommend!
F H — Google review
The hype is real, the place is great! Be prepared to wait in line, a lot of people want to eat here so keep that in mind, the place has gone viral a couple times, and for good reason! Everything we had was amazing, go with a platter, it feed 3-4 people! Best people to go with is people that like sharing food, try everything that comes in the platter. They also have great drinks! It’s a Vietnamese-Mexican fusion, the place is really clean and well organized, smells great in there!
Yon R — Google review
Wow! What an awesome concept for fusion food. SO good! The Cariga Yellow curry flautas with rice were definitely the star of the show, super flavorful and so good. The Birria tacos were pretty good but they could use some flavor. The fried chicken tacos were also pretty good.
Stephanie E — Google review
The wait was two hours! You need to know what you want before reaching the register because once you’re seated, if you decide to order another drink or item, you’ll have to get back in line. I watched a party of two get seated at a four-person table while a two-person table sat empty and just needed to be cleaned. The line stretched all the way to the business next door, yet there were several empty tables waiting to be wiped down. There was only one person cleaning, which really slowed the flow of seating. When we asked our waitress for ketchup and more napkins, it took quite a while. One staff member mentioned that service was delayed because people were going on lunch breaks. For how busy it gets, they really need better coverage. Having one or two floaters—one for the kitchen and another for the dining area—would make a big difference on days like this. This restaurant would benefit from a reservation system or table service setup. I’d visit again, but probably not until next year when the TikTok rush dies down or they improve their system. The staff was friendly, but they ask for tips at the register after a two-hour wait, and since the servers only deliver food with no added service, I don’t think tipping is necessary. The food was good and served hot, which helped make up for the long wait.
J J — Google review
The food was good. We had the chicken pho burrito and it was heaped ion with emphasis Hoison and Siracha sauce. Tasty. The restaurant definitely has a street food stand vibe. Busy, alive and loud. If however you're looking for great traditional pho, there are better places. Pho I feel is all about the broth and with attention on their fusion, emphasis to get traditional stuff right gets diluted. However, I still think it's a great place for the asian fusion street food experience

Everything here is truly 10/10 and beyond! They absolutely nailed the Viet-Mex concept and brought it to life in such a unique and flavorful way. Every bite was incredible, and you can tell a lot of passion went into the food. We highly recommend trying the Phorrito and the Special Pho, but honestly everything on the menu is worth a try. Such an amazing experience—I can’t wait to come back!

I was pleasantly surprised with everything from beginning to end. Upon arrival it was busy, but the flow of the line and great customer service eased my anxiety. My daughter ordered a platter that also included quite a of food for a good price. I will definitely be trying again.

Absolutely loved our visit! The waiter was incredibly sweet, polite, and informative. He managed to be the food expeditor while also providing us exceptional service. My friend and I came in and ordered the Lunch Combo. What a great deal as you can choose between the pepperoni, sausage or margherita pizza with a side or salad or tater tots. The pizza was fresh and delicious. The tater tots were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Don't forget to order a side of their amazing ranch to dip!

Cane Rosso is just the best! Food is artfully crafted, service is exactly what one would expect and atmosphere is adaptable to the time of day and the present crowd. I ordered the prosciutto and arugula pizza, beau ordered pasta of the month for June— mushroom gnocchi + add on chicken. Flavors are immaculate!

This Cane Rosso has a nice date night vibe to its atmosphere. My friend and I wanted to grab something to eat and decided on cane rosso because the service is fast for a brick oven pizza. The pizza did take a few to arrive but because we ordered a ceaser salad we weren’t in a rush for the pizza. Everything was hot, amazing and fresh! The best hint of spices to the pizza that kept me wanting more and the doughy crust was splendid. The service was good but could be better. I was first sat right next to a party when there was more tables available around the room. I asked to be moved and the process was seamless but it did feel weird to be sat next to a large group. We also didn’t get a refill on water till we had to ask when signing our check but other than that a nice place to get pizza.

Hurtado Barbecue in Dallas has quickly risen to prominence as a must-visit destination for barbecue lovers, thanks to the talent of Pitmaster Brandon Hurtado. This eatery offers a unique blend of Central Texas-style barbecue infused with Tex-Mex flavors, making it an exciting spot to enjoy with friends. The El Patron is highly recommended for those looking to indulge in something special.
The food and experience here was top notch! Arrived and didn't have much of a wait before I got to the counter and met Sarah. She was a wealth of knowledge about the menu, had some great recommendations and was very friendly too! With her guidance I chose my meal and a couple of sides to taste. Appetizer: Mexican Cornbread Entree: 3 Meat BBQ Plate with Brisket, Turkey, and 1/4 Chicken Sides: Hatch Chile Mac N Cheese, Mexican Street Corn, Brisket Beans Dessert: Tres Leches Banana Pudding In summary... EVERYTHING I ate from Hurtado Barbecue was full of flavor, savory, tasteful, mouthwatering, and oh so delicious!!! 🤤 10/10 - Would Absolutely Recommend!!! PS. I can't wait to be in town for a weekend (Friday-Sunday) so I can try their "Prime Beef Ribs"!!!

We are visiting Dallas from Corpus Christi and we went here for the first time and got there when it opened. There was no wait, and a young lady came out and helped us with the menu, providing recommendations. She was extremely helpful. We got the El Jefe, which had a little bit of everything, with two sides. We also tried the queso, texas twinkie, and cornbread. It was all amazing. We will definitely be visiting this BBQ place again!

The food over all was good. The chicken was dry and the burnt ends were tough. The ribs and brisket were really good. I liked all the sides. I also got the beans but I assumed they would be BBQ baked beans but it was more like a charro beans. Thats my fault I should asked more questions. The bacon ranch potato salad was and the hatch chili Mac and cheese was absolutely awesome. The Mexican corn was good as well. I felt the price point was high for the amount of meat that you get.

Wow! What a great unexpected find! We really loved the ribs, sliced brisket, pulled pork and smoked sausage. Now let's talk about the birria taco! Oh baby, the crunch, the cheese, the consumme, all delightful. Best birria taco that I've ever had, and priced at $6, I would order one every time. The macaroni and cheese and potato salad were both really good, We didn't really care for the corn, as it had a very overwhelming lime flavor, but everything else was top notch. Sarah took great care of us, as did another friendly female worker, but we didn't catch her name. This place is great, and the only thing that would keep me from coming back, is the parking situation. It took us 15 minutes to find a spot.

This was an excellent dining experience. The only reason I didn’t give Atmosphere 5 stars was because we arrived quite soon after it opened, on week day, so it was fairly quiet, but it did steadily get busier. The food was excellent. We got a family style sharing board, so a bit of everything. Slightly disappointing that the Beef Ribs were only an option at the weekends. However, everything we had was excellently done and it would be fair to say that over the years that I’ve been visiting Texas, these pork ribs were the best I’ve had! Really nice staff. The owner even came to speak with us, and ask how things were and where we’d travelled from, which was nice. He even gave us some free gifts from the store, which was very much appreciated. I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Dallas, and will be visiting Hurtado again without question.

If you’re looking for terry black level quality meats but on a lighter, cleaner side, this is the spot. Barbecue smoked right and extremely tender and fulfilling yet fresh won’t leave you feeling greased up and in a food coma. Plus, they have quality quail. The watermelon cucumber salad was the perfect size and side for my sliced turkey. Drinks also refreshing and light. The atmosphere followed suit with and well lit interior and spaced out tables so you don’t feel crowded. We’ve eaten out every Sunday and this is our new favorite spot after church.
Gmala L — Google review
We take our BBQ seriously in our family. We have a pretty tight top five list of favorite joints, but this place just broke into a top spot on that list for their brisket! We ordered sliced brisket, moist cut. It was so fragile that it was difficult to pick up (always a great sign). The marbeling was wonderful. This tender, slow cooked beef with a thick, savory bark melted in my mouth. No sauce necessary. Seriously one of the best briskets we have ever eaten. Hurtados is nestled right in the center of the Dallas Farmers Market off the East Quarter. They have a great patio complete with swings and corn hole. We learned that all their meat is sourced from FOUR SIxes Ranch right here in Texas. They offer tours of their smoke room. Of course we jumped at the chance to see where the magic happens. Our guide told us about their process. The smell in that room was enough to ignite the senses and wake up the taste buds. If you are looking for brisket that is out of this world, head on down to Hurtados and prepare to be amazed. P.S. other items on the menu were tasty too, but it's the brisket that will keep us coming back time after time.

New American restaurant
Petra and the Beast is a popular spot known for its farm-to-fork New American cuisine served in a cozy setting. The restaurant offers a Saturday night tasting menu featuring an array of culinary delights such as charcuterie, pork dumplings, cured fish with paprika oil, and charred leeks. Recently, the restaurant has resumed tastings on its patio with spaced-out tables.
Our visit to Petra and the Beast for the chef’s tasting menu was truly memorable. The service was top-notch from start to finish, and the attention to detail was evident in every course. Each dish was beautifully crafted, with complex flavors that balanced creativity and comfort perfectly. A standout moment was when the team surprised us with a dessert to take home for our toddler after we casually mentioned his love for peanut butter—such a thoughtful and personal touch that really elevated the experience. The cocktails were well-balanced and a perfect complement to the meal, and the atmosphere felt relaxed yet refined. We couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience and will absolutely be returning soon. If you’re in Dallas and looking for something special, Petra and the Beast is a must-visit!

If you’re thinking of treating yourself this holiday season look no further. Petra and the Beast is a Dallas gem that cannot be missed. Misty is an absolute artist and her food is elegant, balanced and absolutely incredible. From the mushroom infused, fresh stuffed pasta, to the handmade bread that served as a vessel for a crab toast the evening was spectacular. Don’t sleep on the wine pairing, some incredible wines you cant find anywhere else! If you want to feel transported to NYC or Chicago this is the place to be. PS she’s a master at accommodating! We arrived for a tasting menu and my guest was a pescatarian. We let them know ahead of the reservation and she absolutely crushed it.

My favorite restaurant in all of Dallas. So glad I got to be here at the end. They always delivered the best dishes and the vibe was always an experience. I loved to come here on special occasions, most recently for my birthday. I even brought my out of town friends. Sad to see it gone but very excited to see the next project she comes up with.

We're huge fans of Petra and the Beast, especially since we live only 9 minutes away and want to support our neighborhood restaurants! We can't say this about every visit, but tonight, every dish was delicious! Service was excellent as well. Our server, and everyone who dropped by, were super friendly!

Went for a birthday dinner with friends and had a very pleasant experience! Staff/team were so friendly, approachable, and helpful! They explained the dishes well and answered all and any questions we had. The food was delicious and had unique and interesting combinations of flavors. The restaurant is overall classy but casual, unpretentious, and affordable. We loved the vibe and would love to dine again to experience their ever changing courses and new menus to reflect what’s in season locally!

If you aren’t familiar with this restaurant, its location and outer appearance may trick you into not realizing how fantastic it is. The chef and owner, Misti Norris, has received several awards and recognition that seems to be so well-deserved. This restaurant emphasizes the importance of using the whole animal in their menu and finding ways to make parts of the animal that we don’t normally enjoy feel truly enjoyable. The service is phenomenal. Helpful, attentive, and truly just seemed so happy to be there. I really appreciated being walked through the menu, which changes frequently based on what is in season and what they have access to. I really appreciated that it’s a very collaborative restaurant both in itself and in the community. The food is indescribable. Partially because I’m not a food critique and can’t do it justice, but mostly because it was just the delicious. Everything was flavorful, inventive, unique, and inviting. I would highly recommend for a special occasion, a chef’s tasting, or other specialty dinner. We’ll absolutely be back and be recommending it to anyone looking for a great dinner spot.

Unique dining experience. Came for brunch with a group of 6 on Sunday. Server (Jordan) was super cool. We all enjoyed her. We ordered all the mains and sides. Food comes out as it's ready which is nice because it's fresh, but also reduces chances of pairing the dishes. The bread pudding was the best! Almost like a chocolate brownie. Chef's kiss. Anecdote unrelated to my rating: I'm just not the biggest fan of this type of elevated cuisine, some people are. Just cause I'm not a fan doesn't mean this didn't live up to expectations in any way. This is more for people who may not be familiar so they know what they'll be getting into. Several times our group (consisting of people who are very into this) couldn't identify what dish was in the table unless Jordan did her great job telling us what it was. Look, the food tasted good and you can tell the craftsmanship and skill in preparation was 100% there. Just on some level if I'm going to brunch, I'd like to see a Benedict or hash, or biscuits and gravy. All of those can be elevated and executed delightfully. This was still a cool experience to go through.

The menu is flexible and they change it periodically. We randomly ordered some items, all of which were fusion creations. The pigtail seems to be a popular item. My kid loved it because it’s sweet and savory, though it was a bit too salty for my taste. The smoked red fish pasta was really delicious—flavorful without being too salty. It has a variety of textures and overall makes a nice meal without being overpriced. We will be back to try more items.

Restaurant
Nammi at the Farmers Market is a Vietnamese food spot that started as a popular food truck and now has a permanent location in Dallas. It offers a variety of Vietnamese dishes such as noodle bowls, rice bowls, Asian tacos, and banh mi sandwiches. The restaurant is well-known among the large Vietnamese population in Dallas for its authentic flavors and friendly service. Customers praise the generous portions and vibrant presentation of their dishes.
Absolutely delicious! We got the Banh Mi with Honey grilled pork and the noodle bowl with Asian BBQ chicken. Fair pricing for the large portions. Two people could easily split one meal here. Very friendly and quick service and many variations.

Ordered the medium passion fruit tea with lychee boba. It was too sweet. This cup size is considered a medium but it’s really a small. The guy at the counter wasn’t listening very well. I wasn’t told they out of kumquat until after I ordered and waited while 3 other drinks came out before me. Not the best boba. The bahn mi was good and a good size.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently visited Nammi at the Farmers Market and I have to say — this place absolutely deserves a 5/5 ⭐. From the moment I walked in (or rather, up to their counter), to the point I left, everything was delightful. Firstly, the ambiance and setup are charming — it retains that food-truck energy but elevated into a cozy, bright space that still feels fresh, fun, and welcoming. The staff greeted me with smiles and were prompt, even though they were managing multiple orders. Now, let’s talk food — I ordered their pho / noodle bowl (with generous slices of beef, fresh herbs, onions, and plenty of rice noodles), plus the side “garnish pack” of bean sprouts, basil, lime, and jalapeños (as seen in my photos). The broth was rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced — not too salty, not too bland — with little droplets of fat adding that comforting depth. The beef was tender, and the herbs were fresh. When you assemble your bowl yourself with the extras, it all comes together beautifully. I also sampled their banh mi (one of their signature items), and it did not disappoint. Crispy, lightly toasty bread, packed with flavorful pork, tangy pickled veg, fresh herbs — every bite had texture and balance. Portions are generous — I couldn’t even finish everything, which is rare for me! Service was efficient and attentive throughout. They checked in to make sure I had everything I needed (extra broth? more garnishes?), and everything arrived quickly. All in all, Nammi has nailed consistency, flavor, and hospitality. In 2025, it remains a go-to Vietnamese spot in Dallas for people who want authentic taste without pretense. Highly, highly recommended — I’m already planning my next visit. If you love pho, banh mi, or clean, bold Vietnamese flavors — do not skip Nammi

We ordered Bahn Mi (honey pork) and a rice bowl (ginger soy tofu) as well as a basil lemonade and a green tea. Food came out delicious and quick. Prices weren’t bad and portions were huge, the drinks were refreshing and the menu was extensive. Great place for a lunch after the market.

Do you guys put plant-based meat in your veggie egg rolls? I ordered veggie egg rolls, but can't tell if this is real meat or plant based. Assuming it was meat, I didn't eat it. The service was great and will be back to try other vegetarian/vegan items, but sad I couldn't eat my egg rolls 😔

First time trying this restaurant as I just moved across the street about 2 weeks ago. 10/10 I ordered the Honey Pork Banh Mi, and it was so much food. It was very well presented, lots of vibrant colors and overall just delicious, but my favorite part of the experience was the wonderful service the lady in the front provided. She was such a kind an wonderful soul, she was even teaching me how to say thank you in Vietnamese. I will definitely be a returning customer till the day my lease expires. Thank y'all for being so amazing

Fearings Restaurant, located within the upscale Ritz-Carlton in Downtown Dallas, is a sophisticated Southwestern-inspired dining destination. Helmed by renowned chef Dean Fearing, the restaurant offers innovative New American cuisine with a Southwestern twist. The menu features unique combinations such as antelope with cactus pear glaze and Guinness chocolate cake with orange curd and cider beer ice cream. The elegant interior includes seven distinct settings, including a garden-facing glass pavilion and an intimate wine cellar.
We had high expectations and they were definitely met. The staff in the hotel and restaurant were so helpful and friendly. They went out of their ways to make our visit perfect. We even got a backstory on the drinks we picked. It was a lovely touch. All of the food was excellent. The chicken fried lobster was delicious. The sweet lobster contrasted nicely with the breading. The whole experience was worth repeating.

This place has a vegetarian menu and I'm all for it. Let's start with the bread, make sure you ask for more shiner bread, it's delicious. Unfortunately for us, they ran out when we were there. The surf and turf was fantastic. While the steak was what I expected from a high end restaurant, the fried lobster blew me away. My favorite of the night were the vegetarian appetizers. Both the tortilla soup and mini tacos blew me away. Both 5/5. However, I was left pretty disappointed with the Mexican sampler. The spinach enchiladas were okay, while the other two were just bad. You can do vegan/vegetarian entres with flavors and this was not shown in this dish. We also had the fearing old fashion, which I appreciate the sweet mellow scent vs the typical pungent scotch smell.

A great restaurant in an equally great hotel. The service was impeccable with all staff members being friendly and helpful. The overall ambience of the restaurant was bright and open. We were seated in a booth close to the kitchen but we didn't notice the sound. We started with the Southwest Sampler. The crab cakes were fried perfectly, the short rib enchilada was a little too sauce heavy but still delicious, and the lobster tacos were delicious...but let's be honest, the tacos were one bite and not two bite. My gf had the Chilean Sea Bass and I ordered the Antelope over Mole Rojo with Rabbit Enchilada. Both the sea bass and the rice it sat on were cooked perfectly. Absolutely delicious dish that I'll order next time for myself. I'm usually disappointed with rice in Texas so this was a pleasant surprise. The antelope was amazing. Whenever I see it on a menu, I always order it and I encourage everyone to try it. The only miss on this dish was the rabbit enchilada. The meat was a little dry and there was a bit too much cheese for the size of the enchilada. Overall, this a great dining experience and I highly recommend it.

Our dinner at Fearing’s last night was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we arrived, the service, atmosphere, and attention to detail were flawless. Jesus was our server, and he went above and beyond — incredibly attentive, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience feel special. Every course was perfectly prepared and full of flavor, from the appetizers to dessert. The presentation, timing, and energy of the restaurant made for one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Dallas. Highly recommend asking for Jesus when you visit — he truly elevated the evening!

Want to impress the people you’ve invited to dinner? This is the place! We didn’t have a reservation yet the hostess not only got us in but set us up at a lovely booth. The food was interesting and flavorful, the buffalo fantastically seasoned. We unfortunately didn’t have time for dessert due to an event we already had scheduled but we found some surprise petit fours in our to go bag. Dinner was so impressive we went back for breakfast. Everyone was attentive making the meals a memorable experience.

The decor definitely pays homage to Texas and its influence on the cuisine at Fearings. The food is inventive Texas cuisine with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. The menu is simple yet bold. The cooking techniques are spot on, and the flavors are bold. The appetizer sampler is a must try. The short rib enchilada is crave worthy. The mini crab cakes were a tad on the salty side but were still very good. The South Texas antelope dish was a really good composed dish. The "mole" that comes with the dish had an off-putting texture and mouth feel. The braised rabbit emchilada served with the grilled antelope was incredible! I still prefer the signature filet with chicken fried lobster, though. The bread service was really good, with three different bite-sized breads served. Service was very professional and helpful. They know the menu really well.

Meddlesome Moth is a lively gastropub located in the Trinity Design District, offering over 140 types of beer and craft brew tastings. The bar serves as an ideal spot for after-work drinks or mingling with locals. The menu features a variety of pub grub and hearty fare, including shared plates like duck wings and grits, as well as classic dishes such as burgers and fish and chips. Additionally, the establishment offers a fantastic brunch experience that draws crowds.
Enjoyed our first brunch. Great selection of drinks (38+ beers), cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks. I had the mother and child reunion and my husband had the fajita omelette. He had the milky punch and i had a beer. One of my favorite parts of our experience was that the manager pointed out that my long dress was caught under the chair next to me so that i would not tear my dress when i got up -- such a mark of great customer service. Our waitress was very attentive. Loved the valet parking. Will return.

We ate here for dinner, they have a different menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I can't wait to try their breakfast! We got... Deviled eggs, duck wings, bone marrow, risotto tots, shrimp and grits, ribeye, caramel pumpkin bread pudding, and cheesecake. The only thing I don't recommend is the steak. It was cooked well, but it lacked flavor and for that price I would just get something else. Great service all the way around. Parking is valet, dress was business casual to casual. Great for a date night.

Beautiful spot with fantastic fresh flavors. Everything we tried was wonderfully tasty. From the sweet rolls to the waffles, it was all presented beautifully and tasted wonderful. We had the cinnamon rolls, waffles, avacado toast with eggs and the homemade cheesecake. They have a wonderful beer selection. I would love to go back and try more. It was delicious. I'm hoping they decide to reopen elsewhere at the end of the month. They are so much better than a lot of places.

What a lovely casual dining experience. Per the website, they’re closing soon, so I’m glad I got to try it out. Came for brunch & had the Donut Sandwich 🤯 absolutely delicious! The combination of sweet & savory was a pleasant delight. Also tried the Bacon Waffle—the caramelized apples are sweet perfection. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. Prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are generous. Restaurant is a such a gem, hate to see it close.

My wife and I went to this place for date night and it did not disappoint. It's a bar, but not loud like most sports bars. It had a very calm atmosphere. The service was impeccable; however the star of the show was the food. We only ordered small plates, but they do have entrees. We started with the chicken skins, Belgium Mussels, and duck wings. The chicken skins were crispy, hot, and well seasoned. They came with a spicy sesame sauce that balanced the fattiness of the skins. The duck wings were our personal favorite. They were plump, juicy, and the sauce was addictive. They were not greasy nor gamey. With every bite the meat came clean off the bone. The mussels were amazing as well. You could drink the broth; it was that good; however, not to offend, I recommend just asking for extra bread. We also had the truffle fries, which were hot, crispy, and not over seasoned. We had the fried shrimp as well. They had good flavor. Again, they were crispy and not greasy. The seasoning was good as well. The brussel sprouts were our least favorite. They were overcooked and really didn't taste like anything. Please see the attached pictures. Overall, I would recommend this place for dates or just going out with friends. Give it a try.

First time visitor with my family, did my research, and it WAS EVERYTHING as advertised. Beautiful place with its on chic-retro vibe, clean, excellent customer service, and THE FOOD was TOP NOTCH-both in quality, taste and presentation, and was not overpriced like some places based on what you “actually get”. I got Dr. Pepper ribs and the Mr. got braised ribs. They were Amazing! It was hard to choose entrees because the entire menu is full of excellent choices; there’s something for EVERYONE-no matter your food preference or diet type. I will visit again…..and again!

TL;DR: A beer nerd’s dream with food way better than it needed to be, perfect vibes, and staff that felt like friends. RIP, legend. Not much to say… except this place absolutely slapped. Meddlesome Moth had one of the best draft beer selections in the city (basically a hoppy encyclopedia), food that went way beyond “bar food,” and a staff that made you feel like a regular even if it was your first visit. The interior? Sexy without trying. The patio? Cottagecore meets craft beer. Every visit felt like a warm hug with a cold pint. Gone too soon—but never forgotten. Cheers to the memories.

With its focus on locally sourced American cuisine and an impressive selection of Texas brews, this restaurant offers more than just great food; it’s a hub for live entertainment. The outdoor patio creates an inviting atmosphere where guests can savor their meals while enjoying performances under the stars.
Me and my husband went last night, it was our first time here. Our waiter was Mac he was so nice and always checking in making sure we were good and if we needed anything. We had the onion rings as an appetizer and hands down the best onion rings I have ever had. I had a dish that mac recommended off the menu the Cedar plank salmon which was DELICIOUS! The dish was perfect and so full of flavor. I also had a drink that the bartender recommended which was the pineapple smoke and it was also delicious! I didnt get the bartenders name but I'd like to thank both the waiter and the bartender for giving us an amazing experience. We will be returning again.

My friend and I popped into The Rustic in Dallas this past Saturday, and while the place was absolutely packed—a good sign, really—we were pleasantly surprised to snag a table for two right away, even without a reservation! The atmosphere was buzzing, set by some really fantastic live music that made the whole experience feel energetic and fun. We both went for the brunch special, which at $21 per person was incredibly affordable. It was a great deal, offering more than enough food to fill us up. We also ordered two mimosas, which were decent but nothing spectacular. The food itself was good, not necessarily "blow-you-away amazing," but certainly satisfying. My personal favorite part of the plate was the little slices of French toast—they were delicious! Overall, the ambience is what really makes The Rustic shine. It's a lively spot with good vibes, affordable prices, and great music. I'd definitely come back to try something different from their regular menu next time!

Overall, it's an outstanding restaurant that I would highly recommend.

We were looking for a pet friendly spot to have dinner and we found a great one. Really nice restaurant with a great vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating options but in the outdoor area you can listen to live music as the stage is set outdoors. menu was good, would like a little more variety as it leans heavier to spicy food but we were able to find stuff we liked. If we are in Dallas we will definitely visit again! Service, atmosphere, food and drinks were great.

Let me tell you I've never laid my eyes on ONION RINGS like these & they are COLOSSAL fried 2 perfection ‼️served w/a spicy dipping sauce. I had The Rustic Burger well done & it was one of those burgers thatvyou have 2 finish because it's that good !! 💯 The house margarita 10/10 Great experience here !!! Thank you for making my day worthwhile Best regards I will return soon 🤩🤩🤩

Came in for Sunday lunch and was promptly sat and then greeted by our server. The menu was delicious and I decided on the salmon burger. The drink menu was extensive and I chose a thc infused canned drink, not worth $13 by any means but I should have just tried a cocktail 😔 will do so next time because I would love to come back!

The Rustic truly has one of the best happy hours in town! The atmosphere is exactly what you want after a long day — laid-back but buzzing, with plenty of space to kick back on the patio while enjoying live music. The food did not disappoint either. The meatballs were hearty and full of flavor, and the smoky queso had just the right balance of creamy and bold — perfect for sharing. But the real surprise star of the night? The kids’ chicken quesadilla! Cheesy, golden, and so delicious that the adults at the table couldn’t help but steal a few bites. Pair it all with their craft cocktails (which are just as good as they look) and the unbeatable vibe of live tunes under the Texas sky, and you’ve got yourself the recipe for a perfect night out.

Truck Yard is a unique outdoor space that houses food trucks and features an expansive, retro atmosphere with treehouse and trailer bars. With locations in Lowest Greenville, The Colony, and soon in Fort Worth, Truck Yard offers plenty of outdoor space for visitors to enjoy with their furry friends. The open-air bar in Lower Greenville provides a Texan experience with enthusiastic bartenders serving curious concoctions like Trash Can Punch from stationary bars.
This place is a total vibe—live music, cozy atmosphere, and a fun crowd. Drinks are not only super tasty but also super affordable. Whether you’re out with friends or just chilling solo, it’s the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy good beats, and sip on something unique without overspending.

Great place to gang out on Saturday or Sunday and watch football. They are pet friendly and even have menu items for our 4 legged friends. They have heaters in case it is cold and a great selection of drinks/menu items. There is also live music. If you are looking for a different kind of bar & grill, this is your place.

We had our daughter's Sweet 16th birthday celebration at the Truck Yard Dallas! We rented the Karaoke Airstream and it was THE BEST! It was a memorable night of great food, music and fun! The service was outstanding and I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who wants a unique experience that is sure exceed your expectations! The food trucks and live music made for such a fun evening. Everyone at her party loved it!

I've pass by this place during my G'ville walks. But the ESPN Dallas Mavs vs Spurs game free Frito pie and Brisket nachos made me stop in. I bought a beer to support. It looks like a great place to enjoy sports and food. I'm going back. Thanks y'all!!!

Had the nachos, they had good flavors and a plentiful amount. The shots came in a bottle which I thought was a bit odd. Also, the is a significant difference in drink quantity, $9 gets you a small drink, and $20 gets you a souvenir boot and a whole lot more drink volume. Not a fan of the online ordering and table delivery. The band played excellent music. Not sure I got bang for the buck but overall, it was a good experience.

Truck Yard is a 10/10 spot. They have a great happy hour and impeccable vibes. There’s a ton of seating which is great, and the live music is awesome. My favorite time to come here is during happy hour. It’s often not crowded and there is live music and plenty of food trucks.

Great atmosphere and amazing drinks! The overall experience was really enjoyable, especially with our group of 10 — everyone had a great time. Just a heads-up: if you sit outside around 4 PM, the flies can be a bit bothersome when food is out. The nachos were just okay, which is the main reason for my 3-star rating there. Otherwise, this spot is definitely worth checking out for the vibes and drinks! Oh yeah! Great happy hour drinks and prices

Keller's Drive-In is a classic Dallas establishment that has been serving up delicious drive-in fare since the 1950s. The no-frills kitchen and retro parking lot create a nostalgic atmosphere, complete with a jukebox playing tunes from yesteryear. Despite its unchanged ambiance, Keller's has garnered recognition as one of America's best drive-ins, particularly for its affordable yet delectable burgers.
1st time here and the No. 5 was bomb. Definitely add the grilled onions, they add so much depth to the burger. Both fried onions (crispy and tasty) and tater tots were also very good. The drive in experience also adds to the vibe of the place. Recommended, especially considering the affordability.

This has been on my must try burger place in DFW. Got a chance on Thursday afternoon. I got there and was not sure on the procedure. One of the wait staff walked by and I told her this is my first time and how do I order my food. She said that she will be taking my order. Ordered Cheese burger with Jalapeños and fries. When the food was ready she got it to the car and took my CC for payment and came back with receipt. Food: Burger was delicious with mustard, jalapeño’s and onions. Fries were on the oily side. All in all a good experience and one burger place off the list.

Just like everyone said, excellent hamburgers, great onion rings and a fantastic 50s vibe. Really enjoyed meeting Casey C. She is super nice, very friendly, and made us laugh. Service was quick efficient and exactly what we ordered. She made good recommendations on what to have. We were there about 1 o’clock on Saturday.

Great nostalgia! This is a staple here in Dallas. The burgers are pretty darn good. The fries are good. Today was a bit of an exception. The service was OK and the food was OK. When I have been to this location in the past multiple times, the food has been good and Service has been good as well. I give this location of five on the atmosphere scale because of the history and there are truly no other places like it . This place is one of a kind in this modern world with drive-through or corporate owned wannabe pull up burger joints ….. this one stands alone. I would recommend you stop by. It’s also good people watching.

Ordered a burger and chili fries. Use to come here all the time back in the day. I remember the food being better, to be honest. The burger was ok, nothing wrong with it. Lacked a little seasoning. The chili fries were just bad. The service was very good. The place is old and it shows, has a charm to it.

Old school drive in burger joint. Low prices with great food. An amazing bang for your buck that you can't really find anymore. Had a double bacon cheeseburger with onion rings and a sweet tea and it was $11. You will be hard pressed to find a better burger and even if you did, you would probably have to pay 2-3 times the price. There is a reason I'm a die hard regular here.

Total dive place and I loved it. I mean, what’s not to love in a business this run down that puts out some of the tastiest food for such a low price? The #5 Special burger and onion rings were both perfectly cooked, and sent me on down the road happy. I made the detour in my trip plans to try this place and it did not disappoint.

Great food. Awesome nostalgia. Want to call out a review below from Amanda who called her waitress 'homeless' and then had the audacity to complain about how her waitress walked away upset after not leaving a tip. E Bar Tex-Mex is a vibrant bar and grill in East Dallas that offers a delightful selection of beer, wine, and colorful cocktails. Established by Eddie Cervantes, the restaurant provides an elevated Tex-Mex experience with regional Mexican dishes. The venue boasts a stylish bar, excellent service, and late-night hours for satisfying those post-dinner cravings.
E Bar Tex-Mex is one of my favorite places to eat. I love their chips and salsa and their Tortilla soup is delicious. I got the Tortilla soup and salad. The salad that came with it is more like a Mexican salad, but I am picky with my salad and I cut all of that off. My husband had chicken enchiladas with sour cream and he said it was very good. If you like margaritas, they have the best. All the staff were real nice and our waitress was very nice and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

One of the better hole-in-the-wall Tex-Mex spots I’ve been to. I thoroughly enjoyed the food & experience here! My wife took me here for Father’s Day, and while the outside of the building may not be as inviting, you’re missing a true treat if you don’t go inside. This spot is perhaps better suited for lunch dates, a bar stop on the way home, or a cozy date for you & the misses in the evening. Although there was “families” here during my visit, the space of the restaurant appears more suited for smaller & intimate parties. The workers were very inviting and warm in their service. Food was delicious!! I had the grilled tacos & they were the absolute BOMB!💣 Drinks were solid & refreshing as well! My only complaint is the space of the venue. When it’s packed, it’s packed. But in the end, you work with what you have & boy, E-Bar does just that! I highly recommend!

Came here on cinco de mayo for lunch. Our server was so inviting and sweet, she was also super attentive (wish I knew her name). I order the steak fajitas and elote Mexican corn. Baby, everything was a 10/10. I love that this place is such a hidden gem and ducked off. I love supporting small businesses and this place is amazing. I will be coming back, regularly. Oh yeah, the queso was amazing as well! It was even better as leftovers the next day! Highly recommend 🫶🏽

Service was very quick and friendly. Several large screen tvs so great place to watch four games at once if you want. The salsa was delicious. The brisket and carnita tacos were stuffed and delicious, not the absolute best I have ever had but close. The Cob Salad was packed as well including jumbo shrimp, chicken, and bacon. Spent about $40 on two entrees. Money well spent. Will definitely be returning!

This little Tex-Mex restaurant packed a big punch. It was delicious everything from the chips and salsa to the fajitas. Enchiladas beans and rice was excellent. We did have a little bit of a wait, but it was the weekend and at peak time so not to be unexpected. we were able to sit outside in the area with chairs and drink a beer and people watch. We were seated the enclosed patio are which had great air-conditioning and our waitress was Mia . She was a delightful young lady that has an attention for detail and anticipates your needs. She was knowledgeable about the menu and the drink menu. We will definitely be back And have told our friends about this great little gem of a restaurant.

La Duni Latin Cafe is a bustling and stylish restaurant known for its Pan-Latin menu and delectable desserts. Co-owned by Dunia Borga, the cafe offers Salon de Te tea parties that combine European traditions with Latin American flair. The menu features Argentinean empanadas, unique sandwiches on Peruvian pan de yema, street tacos, and tequila-guava baby back ribs.
Set in an industrial area but really easy to find with ample parking. We came here after having dinner on Lovers Lane. It was the perfect nightcap. I loved the whipped coffee I had. The bottom layer was a milk texture but with a perfect hint of sweetness. This was topped with an amazingly fluffy whipped coffee. The entire drink was so well made. Hubby got a latte which he said was decent. I also ordered a famous cuatro leches cake but they do the single serving in a cute glass jar. It was so delicious - very sweet so I had only half but saved the rest for later. I love the jar concept.

We have been patrons of La Duni for many years, back when they were at Northpark mall & McKinney locations. We were passing through Dallas on the way home and wanted to go back! The current location is in an industrial area- so restaurant seating is Intimate and seats about ~10 so we were so lucky to get a seat right away on Saturday for lunch! Don’t let the outside industrial vibe scare you off, their food and bakery and coffee is just as solid as it was 10 + years ago even at their larger locations. We loved being able to visit with the owners in this current setting- enjoyed a wonderful lunch of chilaquiles, huevos con carnitas and coffees. The quality is 💯💯 and they care very much about delivering excellent quality & service. We bought bakery items to enjoy at home because our bellies were so full and happy! 🥰🥰 we are so glad they are here for all to enjoy their amazing meals and bakery items! People were buying so many cakes for Easter as well. Check them out you won’t be disappointed! ♥️♥️

This charming spot has easily become one of my favorite places in the city. It's a coffee shop and restaurant that feels uniquely special in every sense. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance transports you, offering a slice of life that feels worlds away from Texas. Its intimate setting fosters a wonderfully communal spirit; you're almost guaranteed to meet friendly new people, creating the warm feeling of being part of one giant family. The food is fantastic, with massive portions that are only rivaled by the amazing, mouthwatering flavors. The chilaquiles are an absolute must-try! However, the most special thing about this place is its incredible selection of unique coffees and baked goods. They are the true stars of the show and the reason I can never leave empty-handed. A visit isn't complete until I'm walking out with a big bag of their treats to enjoy later. This place is a true gem.

It’s true that seating is very limited, but the food was so good and the atmosphere was perfect!! The service was very friendly. The coffee was amazing. We got the conchas and capuccinos and the steak & egg breakfast. The breakfast potatoes are awesome and the salsas too! Not spicy. The guacamole was amazing! Little spicy. They have a cotton candy robot machine!

It’s a three table restaurant so I sat outside at a little two seater on the stoop. Everything was delicious. I ordered the torta cubana with yucca fries, both had so much flavor and the chimichurry was out of this world. I had to try the buttery popover and it too was so good. The coffee was excellent and served with a delicious little cookie. If you are lucky enough to get a place to sit on a Saturday morning you will not regret the experience.

Good for the soul. Was having the most unfortunate day I won't bore you with. Searched for a coffee place that I could get some work done while I waited indefinitely. The location was concerning but I leaned into being spontaneous. Chatted with a nice customer at a table and I got what he got, Carne Asada. Words fail me here. For context, I never buy steak because I can usually make a steak better than I can buy it. Sous vide, smoked, aged etc. Point being I know good steak because I've been working the craft for years and this is possibly the 2nd best prepared steak I've ever had in my life. The beans were perfectly seasoned, the plantains were exceptional and the peppers with cheese sauce were everything my heart needed in this moment. If you come here and decide you don't like the food, go see a doctor. Your taste buds are broken. Sincere thanks to the operators here for putting so much pride into their product.

✨ The Pollo Asado absolutely blew me away. I have never had a dish with so many elements, each cooked to absolute perfection. The grilled chicken was juicy and smoky, the rice fluffy, the plantains perfectly caramelized, and the black beans were rich, silky, and seasoned just right. Every bite felt intentional and balanced. It honestly transported me to a culinary gem somewhere in Curaçao or the Bahamas—vibrant, soulful, and unforgettable.

Barbecue restaurant
Nestled within a nondescript industrial area near the Galleria, Cattleack Barbeque is a must-visit for barbecue enthusiasts seeking an authentic Texas experience. This laid-back eatery specializes in smoked meats and offers a tempting array of sides perfect for takeout during lunch. The weekly specials are particularly noteworthy, showcasing unique offerings like pork steaks and beer-bacon-and-beef sausages that set Cattleack apart from other BBQ spots.
It was the best barbecue I have ever had. The wait was worth it. We waited in line for 2 hours. We chose the trinity, which included brisket, sausage, and a large rib. The meat just melted off the rib into the mouth. The brisket was tender and delicious. The flavors were so tasteful and awesome. We also had street corn, mac n cheese, and bread pudding. Everything is homemade and worth every penny spent.
Jeremy C — Google review
I was super excited to see that Cattleack was Michelin rated especially smelling the food when you walk in. I was eager to give it a try because the reviews were so promising. I even heard that this place was better than Pecan Lodge, which is one of my personal favorite BBQ places in DFW. My coworkers and I wanted to go to lunch and I had told them that I found this place we can check out. Mind you some of them do not eat beef and I told them they have turkey as an alternative option and saw they had some specials on Jerk chicken. When we arrived around noon, we realized that they were completely sold out of turkey, beef ribs, and moist brisket. I was completely shocked and upset because it seemed too early to be running out of food and I felt horrible for recommending this place to my coworkers that there were some poultry meat options. They ended up eating only sides while some of us ate beef. I ended up ordering half lb of burnt ends to compensate for not having moist brisket. 1/4 of lean brisker. 1 spicy Texan sausage, side of burnt ends beans and hatch Mac and cheese with some jalapeños, pickles and onions. All for $56 which I thought was kinda steep for the quality of the food on my opinion. I didn’t get to finish my food because I didn’t care to eat it after a few bites. I brought leftovers to my wife and she didn’t care for it either I’m very specific on what I like and knowing that they didn’t have moist brisket was a deal breaker. I ended up trying the lean with burnt ends. There was no wow factor like I’ve had with other places like Hutchins. Everything on the menu has a slight sweetness to me, the burnt end beans, the pickles, even the jalapeños had a hint of sweetness to it. I’m all for a tiny hint of sweetness to bbq sauce but not on everything. This was not something I was expecting from the flavor profile I personally look into. The burnt ends had a good texture, slightly salty but with a sweet undertone. The lean brisket was a lean as it can be. Some people would prefer it, but just not my cup of tea. The hot spicy Texan texture was not it. Don’t care for the sausage at all. I probably won’t get any of their sausage. I honestly not sure if I would come back or recommend this restaurant to any bbq connoisseur. Maybe it’s me or maybe it’s just bad timing. Regardless I’m not sure if I’m ready to go back just yet. For now I’m sticking with Hutchins and Pecan Lodge and a few other places like Hurtado’s and even Zavala’s bbq. Those places I do recommend on going.

“Where Wednesday through Friday lunches turn into Texas-sized flavor rodeos.” TL;DR: Brisket with bark you can hear crunch in your dreams, sausage with a kick like a rodeo bull, turkey that’ll make you consider switching holiday traditions, and banana pudding that could settle family feuds. Stamp 17 earned with a full belly and a happy heart. It was mid-morning Friday, and I was on a mission. The 17th stamp in my Texas Monthly BBQ passport had my name on it, and Cattleack BBQ was calling louder than a dinner bell on a ranch. Doors open just three days a week, plus a rare first Saturday each month, so you know this joint doesn’t play around. I rolled up at 10:30 and lucked out, no line stretching outside this time. The smell of smoked meat hit me like a freight train hauling mesquite logs. I struck up a chat with a couple fresh from San Antonio making their first pilgrimage here. We swapped BBQ war stories, counting down the minutes until meat nirvana. Thirty minutes later, I was face-to-face with the counter of dreams. My tray filled fast: brisket, turkey, sausage, pork ribs, and those dark, glistening burnt ends. For sides, potato salad and street corn because a man needs his veggies, and cornbread that looked like it could win state fair ribbons. The grand finale, banana pudding, standing proud like a trophy in a plastic cup. This meal had some kick. The sausage packed enough heat to make a grown man tear up with joy, the street corn brought a fiesta of spice and lime, and the cornbread had attitude, the kind that separates the bold from the meek. The turkey? Absolute perfection, juicy slices with seasoning that danced across every bite. The ribs and brisket had solid flavor but leaned on the firmer side, still worth every chew and every napkin used. Like the good husband I am, I boxed up a few treasures for the side dish queen back home: turkey, cornbread, and banana pudding. That evening, she declared the turkey a hit, called the cornbread too fiery for her royal palate, and anointed the banana pudding “great” with a satisfied smile. Stop 17 is stamped, sealed, and delivered into BBQ history. Thirty-three more shrines of smoked glory await my pilgrimage. Final dad line: I told my wife this BBQ was hotter than a Texas sidewalk in August. She said, “That explains why you’re sweating like a brisket on the pit.”

I ordered Brisket, sausage links, corn bread, mac&cheese, street corn, and Burnt ends. I gotta say I love love the burnt ends! That’s truly what hooked me the most from this place. The second would be their street corn. I wish the meats, cornbread and the Mac&cheese were warmer…had them turn cold pretty quick. Brisket is soft and breaks easily👍🏼. Corn bread, seemed to have been made a day old or out in the air for little too long. Mac&cheese decent . The chili cheese links were alright for me. Nothing bad, did have a high expectation of this place. Still worth checking it out

It is a decent place to enjoy barbecue. The place is on a busy street which creates a parking problem. You may have to park and walk for 5 mins. There could be a 30-45 min wait depending on weather and time. Especially around 9-10 AM the chances of standing in the line are high. Brisket and ribs were dry and over priced. The wagyu brisket was quite dry. Burnt ends were quite tough to chew. Their dirty rice is good but excess spices, especially black pepper masks the true flavor of original spices. Overall the meat rub has very concentration of black pepper which creates a burning sensation in mouth. Brisket was not tender and if you plan on carrying some home, it may not remain moist next day. Overall, it is not a place worth standing in long lines. It is an average place which may have served good bbq sometime ago.

This was quite possibly the most amazing food I have ever had in my life. Forget just barbecue I would say food in general! I might just be a small timer from Vermont so my taste buds aren’t fully developed, but that was some amazing food. Make sure to get enough to bring home because you’re not going to want to stop eating.

Definitely, one of the best BBQ in Texas. Wow everything was spectacular. Customer service was amazing, and food was out this world. There is a reason why Michelin only mentioned and recommended this BBQ place in North Texas. Just amazing! 🙌🏻
RJ S — Google review
As a self-proclaimed DFW barbecue critic, I’ve made my way through nearly every acclaimed smokehouse in the metroplex. Goldee’s set the gold standard, easily first place, with Pecan Lodge a distant second. I had high hopes for Cattleack after its Michelin recognition. I arrived on a rainy Saturday at 10:30am, finally reaching the counter at noon. My tray included brisket, beef rib, pork rib, burnt ends, sausage, and mac and cheese. The brisket, barbecue’s true benchmark, was disappointing: dry, flavorless, with little bark and pockets of unrendered fat. The pork rib was tough and difficult to pull from the bone. The beef rib didn’t impress me, though my companions deemed it “okay.” Burnt ends and sausage were decent, but not enough to rescue the plate. Even the mac and cheese missed the mark. At $150, the meal was hard to justify, especially when the dryness of the meats was obvious even in photos. Barbecue is notoriously difficult to execute with consistency, but that’s what separates the good from the great. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t return. Cattleack simply didn’t live up to its reputation.

Whistle Britches is awesome! Excellent food, great service and the atmosphere at this Dallas location is incredible! Now, they are known for their chicken dishes - the tacos are simply the best…and so are those chicken and pancakes - but I also tried the smash burger and that was great too! Very good sweet tea and biscuits too.

I am definitely coming back! I appreciated the customer service. The buffalo cauliflower was delicious! And the Mexican street corn 🤤🤤🤤🤤 The chicken and biscuit was alright. I LOVE fried chicken and to me, the batter wasn’t as flavorful. The biscuit was a bit hard. The mashed potatoes taste like butter (which was not all the way bad but could use seasoning.) Otherwise, it was good nonetheless.

Had a nice dinner. The Hot Dang (spicy chicken) sandwich was recommended and it was good. The cornbread was also tasty. I thought the coconut cream pie was just OK and wouldn't recommend it. Thickest crust I've ever seen on a pie and it wasn't a great crust. Overall, I enjoyed dinner and was glad I tried it. It's a bit heavy for me to eat regularly but tasty enough to add to the list of hot spots.

This is a solid brunch pick, you can’t go wrong with the Chicken N’ Waffles and the Three Cheese Mac. 🤤 The Pickled Jalapeño Pimento Cheese is pretty good, and the deviled eggs are decent but you could probably do with them. I feel like we all liked the Buffalo cauliflower and corn fritters, but my minds a little fuzzy on those. Overall, a great pick, service has been good at each visit and the foods always hot and fresh.

Everything was chicken based, but they do offer meatloaf and fried catfish! Food was decent, our waiter was great! Very patient guy. Fun first time experience, not sure if I would go back. I placed my order with the table and didn’t receive it till 15 minutes into everyone already having there’s. Which wasn’t a major issue because the table was willing to share.

Some average to good fried chicken. The pancakes were huge and there are 3 of those, the tender came with it were good. Although the fried chicken on the chicken benny came warm-cold, which I don’t understand, did we got a dish someone canceled? Also the booth I sat in was so unstable, that I was interrupted by the people sat on the other side all the time, which was 100% not their fault. The dinning experience was just very not good.

Nestled in the lively Deep Ellum neighborhood, Deep Sushi has been a cherished gem since 1996, captivating locals with its innovative sushi creations and inviting atmosphere. This modern eatery boasts a delightful patio where guests can enjoy their meals al fresco. Known for its stunning specialty rolls and mouthwatering appetizers like the ahi tower—crafted with sushi rice, crab meat, avocado, and fresh ahi tuna—Deep Sushi is perfect for both casual lunches and vibrant happy hours.
Shishito pepper were had just enough kick to them, not too spicy and not lacking in spice. Both sushi rolls were amazing. One of the left was called Yuzu Breeze and was the roll of the month. Amazing bold flavor. The one the right is called the Spirit of Texas and is a regular item on the menu. It truly does pack the Texas Spirit with a spicy jalapeño coursing through the roll. I absolutely loved this roll and could eat it weekly!

TL;DR fresh, tasty, good price. Deep Sushi was very nice. It was our first time going in and they took great care of us. Typically sushi for two means spending over $100 but we left full and satisfied including an amazing dessert for around $80. We did not have any alcohol though and that would likely have pushed us over the $100 mark. Everything tasted fresh and delicious and had unique but vibrant flavors. I will be returning in the near future. Great spot for a date or family dinner. Oh and they have a weekend happy hour which is hard to find these days.

Experience was great, we did a boat, was about 65 was enough for 2 of us,....came for a second time..I didn't enjoy it. The roll I had had crawfish but it was over cooked n kinds dry. N also when my partner takes me out I never look at the bill or concern myself with it as he doesn't want me to and I don't mind..and then the waitress comes and tells the whole table how much the bill is, he didn't like that at all. Knowing we spent over 100 and I wasn't impressed at all with anything I had is disappointing. Please let your waitstaff know when people are on dates it's rude to announce the amount of the bill just hand the man or person paying the check.

The Volcano Roll was delicious. It wasn't plated with the creative flare that it typical of sushi. But, it was very fresh and mouthwatering delicious!

Went in 10 mins before happy hour ended and got the most amazing service. Sushi was fresh but not the best. Also, dont let happy hour excite you. The $15 rolls on happy hour and normally $16 on the regular menu so dont break ur back rushing to get there to save $1

I had the 5 piece albacore sashimi (forgot to take a photo), and it was fine. Had a crab wonton, definitely not my liking but my friends like it, and they liked their sushi rolls. They liked the Hawaiian role the best and they had the Deep roll. Probably I would have enjoyed it more if there was Ahi sashimi

I love fried sushi and was looking for a sushi bar skilled at it. The food was amazing. I believe the fried rice is the best in Dallas. I tried all the food I could stomach and afford in one setting and wasn’t disappointed. I came at a great time. It’s a great place to chill after working all day. They have happy hour specials that include drinks and appetizers. The waiter was so kind and had a great personality. He gave me many recommendations and made sure I enjoyed my stay. You can pay on the tablet your server has. It looks like they even take mobile pay. Feedback: Only advice is the waiter’s zone partners could definitely speak to guests that aren’t their own. They look at you for sure but that could be followed by a greeting or a smile. They talk to themselves and their guests, but if you are going to refill a water, or stare at your partner’s guests, speak too.

Rex's Seafood Market is a casual seafood spot serving fresh catches from around the world at the Dallas Farmers Market. The eatery is brightly lit and casual and offers reasonable prices for decent food. The open, airy space is perfect for catching a bite before shopping at the market or after exploring nearby attractions.
This is a hidden gem. It had close to 20 types of oysters from all around the country. They are flown in every two days to Lufkin airport. They are so fresh. I had to taste them all. I would not dress them up with condiments. If you don't like oysters, cool. The TUNA NACHOS are a masterpiece of creativity. My wife had the fish chips. The white cod was incredibly tender. The servers knew about the food origins and so much patience. 11/10

Will return. The French Open is on their four tv monitor (the last match of the day - well past 10 pm in Paris: Džumhur v Alcaraz), so we stopped for a drink. Counter service by a few energetic young people, professional and proficient. They grind their own horseradish, which is great - it tastes so so good. Three kinds of oyster we tried: Great White of MA: light Birch Point of ME: flavorful - our favored Irish Point of PEI: they’re good (Prince Edward Island) We’d have more but can’t - have an Italian dinner at 6, and we’ve to go. Does the increasing efficient shipping service makes it possible for anyone to realize their dream business - Dallas, and Texas in that matter is a landlocked region. But what do I know. … Alcaraz won in four, on his second match point, near 5pm Dallas time. I’d think Friday evening is a hopping time in the city but it feels dead, the mall is pretty empty. Where’s everyone? Or it’s too early for everybody -:) - my first full day in Dallas. Wishing everyone with a desire to succeed in a biz the best of luck.

Came here for lunch while visiting the farmer's market. I was really surprised how good the fish and chips was. But the fish was really tender and tasty. Oyster were tasty and they give you a mix from different locations. I also liked the redfish and sweet potato fries. Not a lot of seating as the place was very busy but the servers do come bring the food to your table even if you are eating outside. Seating area is shared with other restaurants and and is in the walk through area between other stores.
Christopher S — Google review
So surprised how bad this location of Rex is. We had dinner at the uptown location once (during the pandemic) and we loved their food. This location is on a totally different level (underground level). We got the salmon burger. The patty tasted like blended and fried mussels..... I could only take one bite and had to throw it away. The fries I got with it were just okay. The ceviche was at least edible but Mediocre.
S K — Google review
Rex’s Seafood and Market was a little disappointing. I may need to stick to the other location on NW Hwy. I had a better experience there. The stand is located near an entry/exit door. Therefore, it gets a little warm sitting there to eat at the picnic style tables. This review covers two separate visits. The first visit, I went during happy hour. I had the Ceviche and a Frose. Keep in mind that I eat Ceviche often. I feel like I have a good grasp of what good ceviche looks and tastes like. Their version did not measure up. I’m used to it arriving tableside looking picturesque. That was not the case. I didn’t taste much lime. The Siracha sauce was over powering the other flavors. The shrimp were small also. The frose was hard to drink. I usually like it but it was kind of bitter. My second visit I had the Lobster Roll. Again, I’ve tried a few, and this one was decent. It seemed to have a piece of claw meat on top and the rest was shredded. I wanted Connecticut style but they didn’t ask me. The lobster was tender and the bread was soft. Not bad , but not great. The fries were super salty. Overall, I rate the sandwich a 3 but the restaurant a 2. If you want a quick Lobster Roll while at the Farmers Market, check out Rex’s Seafood & Market.

I ordered the sushi grade Ahi Tuna with spinach and mixed vegetables. I gotta say, for 20$ this was well worth it!! The tuna was seared perfectly and the vegetables were seasoned really good too! I liked the spinach a lot, I personally think I might have had a bit too much lemon, but it was also topped with Parmesan, and made garlic too!

Restaurant
José is an upscale Mexican restaurant located on the edge of Bluffview, offering a sophisticated dining experience with a focus on Jalisco-style dishes and seafood. The spacious and chic ambiance, complete with a tile-lined bar and black-and-white tile wall mural, sets the stage for enjoying top-shelf margaritas and indulging in dishes like crab sopesitos and braised short rib enchiladas in guajillo sauce.
This feels like a Mexico City restaurant with the the design and colors and patio like dining. Open and airy with a large fountain. The chef has been featured in food channels. Excellent Mexican food. Light sauces not heavy and flavorful. Went back again last night and had the salmon y avocado. A delightful take on salmon (cooked and chopped and spread across sliced avocado)) with a light sauce on the plate.

Elevated Mexican food that was pretty solid. They provide chips and salsa, but it seemed like the chips were ones that I could buy from the grocery store for $2. I had a frozen hibiscus drink that was delicious and the Tacos Carbon were also pretty good. They have a super nice patio that was heated which was well needed on a cold day. There is also complimentary valet.
Hannah — Google review
Would give five stars if there were more veg options! But what they have is so good. Get the mushroom tacos if you’re vegetarian. Seriously so good! The atmosphere is a total vibe though. Like if you want to come relax at a restaurant that is vibey and chill, with a good bar too, this is a good place.
Jess — Google review
If you’re looking for a spot where your margarita gets almost as much attention as your entrée, Jose is a solid pick. The food is good — not great — but the handmade corn tortillas are legit (better than most in the U.S., though still a step below the real thing in Mexico). Brunch is lively, the vibe’s upbeat, and the bar has a pretty good tequila and mezcal lineup — enough to keep things interesting without being pretentious. It’s on the pricier side, around $30–$40 per person, and yes… they do the mandatory valet thing (cue eye roll). Still, for a fun meal with friends or a weekend brunch with a buzz, Jose earns its spot on the rotation — just manage your expectations and your parking frustration

This is a nice and trendy looking place. I had the coconut ceviche made with redfish - it was delicious and beautiful, served in a half coconut. I also had the carrot habanero soup - y’all don’t sleep on that soup - it tastes amazing! The regular ceviche had a great flavor too. Our server was nice and personable. Can’t wait to come back for the ceviche and soup…but I also want to try more things. Highly recommend!

Excellent local restaurant in a very hip area. Street parking is limited but a parking structure literally right next door made our visit most convenient. State and Allen is one of our all time favorites. The manager is always kind and friendly as well as the rest of the staff. They have one of the best happy hour prices in Dallas and their food is fantastic! I am obsessed with their Caesar salad. Not sure what they do to make it so addictive but it’s my favorite. All of their food is great. They even have different daily specials and Friday’s are $5 well drinks all day.

Food is very good. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is what you would expect from a neighborhood bar. Been frequenting here on and off for a year or so and can say the service is very good and consistent…friendly and attentive. Eric, one of the bartenders, is probably one of the more attentive and hardworking bartenders I’ve met. He gives his time to connect but lingers only long enough to make that connection because he knows he has a job to do. Jordan is also exceptional. We have grabbed a seat in his section many times and been more than happy with his service and attention. Never have to wait. Like Eric, he’s on it. Highly recommend!

Today, I had brunch with my family here, but there was a slight difference in the taste. Our server, Chris, advised the GM, Nicholas, about it and the item was comped! We never expected this because it was only mentioned in a casual response, and not a complaint. Apparently, the recipe had recently changed, and the staff took it into consideration out of respect for us as returning customers. THANK YOU Chris and Nicholas for such a memorable experience! I think these tacos are the best I’ve had in my life. So much flavor, perfect tortillas, a ton of variety, I was in heaven. The 6 Tacos and Bottle of Wine for $50 was a great deal. It’s also perfect for enjoying on their huge patio outside. We ordered a rose that was perfect for a beautiful day. Now the tacos we tried. I’ve starred our favorites but honestly you can’t go wrong with any of them: - Crispy Pork Carnitas* - Carne Asada - Beef Choriqueso - Brisket Guiso - Chicken Tinga * - Blackened Baja* - Nopalitos I wish we lived here because I would come all the time, but if we are visiting again no doubt we will stop in again!

My experience here from the food, music, vibe, staff, you name it, it worked and was great! Went here for brunch and it did not disappoint. The drinks were mixed well and the food was very flavorful and enough, although I wish the appetizer (tamale bites) were just 2 more because it was that good. They had a special one dozen of glaze and get one dozen of strawberry doughnuts the strawberries doughnuts look like the regular glaze doughnuts i was looking for strawberry icing it was so thin you couldn't even taste the strawberry icing. Not a happy customer 😒

I have tried going to this donut shop 3 different times. I had to drive off all three times. The customer service is horrible. Use to bring my 3 kids who loved it. Now you have drive through only. They don't have all thier donuts anymore. So when your ordering the attendent talks over you while ordering. 6 donuts was going to cost me 14.00 dollars. This was such a great place to go when it first opened. I will not ever go back. KK Donuts do better!
Robert H — Google review
Getting fresh donuts from here is like playing the lottery. I've gotten donuts from other KK locations that would stay good for at least 3 days. That's because I get them fresh and I know they're fresh because those locations were dine-in locations. This location is not a dine-in location. They mass-produce donuts to be distributed to local places like Kroger, Walmart, etc. They have 10 delivery trucks always parked there that they use to deliver the donuts. Because of this, it seems they have so many old donuts in stock that if you ordered donuts... it will probably be from a batch made 12 to 24 hours ago (or maybe longer). Where does the lottery part come in, you can order donuts and hope they one you get was recent compared to what they made have made earlier during the day or the day before. I ordered 2 dozen... the Passport to Italy dozen and the original glazed dozen. The original glazed dozen felt like it was a few hours fresh while the Italy dozen tasted like it was made a day or two earlier. I've gotten limited edition donuts from other locations and they remained fresh for at least 3 days.
Tom B — Google review
Went to this location to try and get some doughnuts, spent 15.35 dollars for 4 doughnuts and lukewarm coffees which is somewhat fine, the pricing wasn't the issue but when i opened my box, all my doughnuts were gas station level cold. The icing was completely hardened to the doughnuts and they had an audible thud as i dropped them back into their box. I get it, FAFO, first in first out, i had the thought that these will be fine later but i really wanted a fresh glazed doughnut, i made the 30 minute trip to the only location local to me because i felt if i wanted a warm Krispy kreme doughnut, the only option is to go to their location. So i circled back around and asked the employee if i could PURCHASE (not exchange, not a refund but purchase) a fresher doughnut, i was told that location doesn't sell fresh doughnuts and if i wanted a warmer doughnut, i would have to go back between the time of 5pm to 7pm. I was told that location has no way to warm to the doughnuts so what you get is what you get. Insanely disappointed in that. I'm unsure how many other people feel but at one point, Krispy kreme were the pinnacle of the glazed doughnut, it would blow my mind when someone hadn't tried a fresh out of the oil glazed doughnut and i would make trips to show people what they're missing out on, its pretty sad to see this is something thats either not in practice anymore or isn't offered at this location. At the window i asked if this was the only location left in dallas and i was told about their other location in Arlington, a full hour away from me. Its safe to say dallas doesn't have a Krispy kreme location anymore if this is how this location is ran which is a huge bummer.
Joshua O — Google review
Waited to go when Fresh hot sign turns on. Drove cross town to eventually get cold donuts. They were not working the belt and claimed had just turned it off and all donuts were boxed. They didn't let us purchase what we went for. Harry Potter donuts are limited 2 per person. You will loose money with lazy people working here. That is one reason the other locations closed. I will think twice before driving from Mesquite. This is the 3rd time we get cold donuts. Not happy at all.
Aanita M — Google review
Came by just a few minute after the opened and there was a line. This location is drive thru only, and so had to wait to get my order. Less than 10min after they opened and the donuts I got were cold. It used to be that simple glazed donuts would be fresh, hot and melt in your mouth delicious. This was hardly the case. For the quality I should’ve just gone across the road for good fresh donuts and delicious cronuts instead. What a disappointment this was.
Syrax F — Google review
This is the worse location by far! Staff is incompetent, the doughnuts were disgusting and NOT fresh, save your money and go to Tom Tlhumb for a doughnut unless you want a cold, hard doughnut saturated in grease 🤢 My cream filled doughnut was like a hard plastic ball, very disappointing 😤 Oh and it's so stupid you can't go inside it's a "dive thru only" location, ridiculous 🙄

I came here on a Sunday after finding it on Google randomly. I am so happy that I stopped and ate here, it is a gem. I got the pork sausage banh mi, shrimp chips, and a coffee. The customer service was excellent, they recommend the best dishes and were very kind. There is a large outside patio where you can sit and enjoy your meal. The place was so adorable and cozy with a very sweet lady as the cashier. She double checks that you have everything you need! It all makes you feel a sort of nostalgia, like you’re right at home. It has pride potted plants and a beautiful mural. Just a warning that the coffee is extremely strong with a milkshake texture and will leave you on a high and shaking if you’re not careful. My friend got the pork ban mi which was delicious and I got their chocolate bread.

Great all-around dining experience at the Sandwich Hag. Perfect spot for a work lunch. Really enjoyed the sandwiches but most of all the oatmeal cream pie. Great selection of tasty drinks as well.

I have been here a couple of times for the Vietnamese coffee and donuts but first time having one of the banh mi sandwiches. Loved it! Got the grilled pork, the flavors were amazing and the bread they use is perfect for the sandwich. If it wasn't 100 degrees outside (no inside seating in case you have not been there yet) it would have been ideal. But they do a good job of putting up shade where they can and have fans moving to air to help out. Great food and the people who work there are always so nice.

1st time to visit. Super friendly employees and cute decor. All seating is outdoors so the hot Texas heat made it tough to get comfortable while eating our lunch. Pricing is such that our meal for 4 with appetizers and drinks quickly ran the tab to over $100 for lunch. The Nem Sausage Nuggets ($12.75) were tasty and good for sharing. The Fried Eggrolls ($9.75) were standard and a tad pricey. Recommend skipping these. The Bahn Mi sandwiches were delicious. Pay attention to the add-ons as a fried egg ($2.75) and fish sauce ($2.50) will run that bill up fast. The Coco Nam Sua Da ($6.25) was average though it was described and marketed beautifully. Overall, we enjoyed the meal and were glad to check this spot out. It's always a good thing to support passionate small business owners and their dreams!

Wow on point place- they sell out so you know that food is fresh. I really enjoyed the coffee with coconut cream and let me tell you the banh mi was so mouth watering. I’ve lived in houston for 4 years and there’s a huge Vietnamese community and food scene there but I have to say this is the best Vietnamese sandwich I’ve had in America ! I even saved half of it to bring back to my mom. I got a chance to talk to the chef she was so down to earth and sweet and personable. Made my day! This is such a neat place will have to come back soon. Highly recommend !! . Super cute place and the vibe was laidback and homeyyy.

Say man.. Get the Banh MI Xiu Mai.. That thing is a flavor bomb. Garlic Tomato sauce, jalapeños, cilantro, with these flavorful pork meatballs. The bread is flakey and soft like a Philly Hogie. These guys have the formula. Everything tasted super fresh. Only complaint is it's $17 bucks a sandwich but everything is expensive now.

Delicious banh mi! Service is quick and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking in the back. There’s no indoor dining so be aware if the weather is cold. Abundant outdoor seating though. I ordered the Ga Gung (ginger chicken) sandwich and I want more😋🤤I’ll definitely come back here but be mindful of the hours of opening. This place closes at 3pm. There used to be evening hours but not anymore.

Chicken restaurant
Cowboy Chicken is a long-standing fast-casual chain known for its wood-fired rotisserie chicken, tacos, enchiladas, and sides. The restaurant offers delicious rotisserie-style chicken and crispy chicken tenders. Customers can also benefit from free kids' meals by downloading the Cowboy Chicken app on Wednesdays. The food is consistently fresh and tasty, with a great selection of sides to choose from.
Really good grilled chicken with a cool atmosphere! Didn't plan on getting corn when I entered... but it was better than a lot of the Mexican corn I've had, even staying in the oak cliff area. The sauce was a nice addition too. Twice baked potatoes were as to be expected. The corn surprised me!
Seth W — Google review
Been to Dallas many times, but never knew about this local chain. The smoked rotisserie chicken is the star, and well deserved. Enjoyed the rest of the sides and salad. Easy and fast counter service. Recommended, especially if you're not feeling like heavy brisket.
Sam K — Google review
We really enjoyed Cowboy Chicken! We arrived right when they opened and by the time we were leaving the foot traffic was picking up. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had the 3-piece dark plate with street corn and a sweet potato everything was cooked perfectly, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. My spouse went with the chicken tenders, mac n cheese, and street corn definitely a hearty comfort combo. We finished things off with dessert: the chocolate chip cookie was massive (you can choose hard or soft go soft!), and my spouse had the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream, which he thought was just okay. The strawberry lemonade was refreshing, but the cucumber jalapeño lemonade packed way more heat than I expected I had to top it off with regular lemonade to balance it out. Overall, this spot has that homestyle warmth with a modern touch. We’ll definitely be back!
Summer J — Google review
first time here, they have wood flame rotisserie chicken and it was good. they have many different combos, quarter, half or entire chicken and many sides. Good variety of lemonades, tried the lemon with spicy jalapeno and it has a little kick. Everything was awesome, but I'll give it 4 stars for the price. combo of 2 pieces with 2 sides and drink $15 with tax. Good food though.
C T — Google review
Im leaning more towards a 3.5 then a 4 but since thats not an option I rounded up. Placing my order was easy, the gentleman at the counter was friendly, and my food came out fast. The rotisserie chicken that they are known for was dry but the mac and cheese was awesome. The manager walked right past me to clean a table but didnt say hi or how was it.
Joshua D — Google review
Customer for years now. My favorite meal item overall at this chain is their enchiladas. Outstanding. Yum yum yum. This day i tried the Laredo chicken sandwich for the first time. Very nice. Meat wasn't dry as I was concerned about. The chicken cracklings sounded odd since I didn't know what to expect but everything on the sandwich meshes very well. The only thing that made it better was me asking for extra sauce... heavily sauced sandwiches are my preference.
Charis W — Google review
Ordered through uber eats- it was received 15 mn after placing the order. All items intact and food was hot! Ordered the chicken brisket sandwich- personally, I like a good balance between meat and sauce and this was perfect! Also strawberry shortcake and a cookie- both desserts were huge portions- we shared the shortcake and packed the cookies
Theresa B — Google review
We had the Laredo Chicken Sandwich, 5/5, Enchiladas, 5/5 and half chicken, the chicken is king. Sides we love are the fries, cowboy slow and dessert the banana pudding came be beat. Service was great and fast and prices are reasonable.

Mesero in Victory Park offers impeccable service and a delightful dining experience. The restaurant is known for its signature hospitality and skillful combination of ingredients, resulting in dishes like the popular queso with spinach, artichokes, and poblano peppers. The menu also features entree-sized combination plates such as Chicken Enchiladas with a tart tomatillo sauce and brisket taco.
My first time to Mesero and I have to say I was impressed and will be back. The verde salsa (they give you three varieties) was the star of the show for me. We had a variety of taco and enchilada plates. The portions were just right for lunch and the prices were reasonable. Finished off by sharing caramel filled churros. The cocktails looked good; I'm sure we'll be back to sample them too!
Tom A — Google review
The food was authentic and served well. Not the best salsas, not the most tasty cheese on the enchiladas. The tacos had plenty of meat. The bacon on the brioche shrimp was cooked really hard and I didn't taste the cheese. The beans too mushy. Excellent service and great atmosphere
Donnica P — Google review
We went here to get dinner on a Saturday and got seated pretty much immediately. The staff was friendly and the service was probably the quickest I've experienced recently. The food tasted good, the cocktail was decent and the prices aren't terribly expensive. Definitely recommend trying

Excellent service from start to finish. Our server was friendly, attentive, and always had a smile. The food and atmosphere were perfect, but the outstanding service truly made the experience special. Thank you for making our visit memorable and special thanks to Manager Helena for making the service even better.”
Nedelka C — Google review
I'm not a huge fan of Mexican so my review should be taken with a grain of salt. My friend said the rice was absolutely amazing. I had the Miguelito, it was meh. The salsa and chips were underwhelming. The place was nice and the service was great! I didn't enjoy the food enough to seek it out in the future but would go if someone wanted to go. My friend often goes for the adult beverages.
Lakesha S — Google review
It was our first time to dine in. The service was outstanding! The food was delicious. The drinks were so good and our waitress was awesome!
Dee M — Google review
We were super hopeful and excited to try everything here! But honestly, it kind of felt like going to your white friend’s house for “Mexican Night.” The food tasted cheap but was expensive for what you get. We did love our server — he was super nice — and the nachos were great (shown in pic), but everything else was sadly subpar. The ambiance was also weird; the lights were too bright and the decor felt bland and lifeless.
Avery J — Google review
I went to Mesor on Saturday before the Stars game and had such a great first experience! The atmosphere is chic and classy, and my waiter Gerardo gave amazing service. He recommended the mango water, jalapeños with bacon, and guacamole all so good. I’ll definitely be coming back here before games from now on. Go Stars

Tacos Mariachi is a vibrant Mexican eatery that captures the essence of Tijuana-style street tacos in a casual atmosphere. With locations in Oak Cliff and lower Greenville Avenue, this spot is renowned for its diverse taco offerings, including traditional favorites like pollo al pastor and carne asada, alongside unique creations such as smoked salmon and grilled octopus tacos. The menu also features refreshing agua frescas, Mexican beers, and an array of exotic frozen margaritas to complement your meal.
Great service, greater people and some of the greatest food in Dallas! The tacos were fresh, tangy, refreshing and very beautifully presented. Very reasonably priced and I will definitely be back!

My favorite taco stop in Dallas! Every time I find myself in town I always stop by for the pulpo tacos and the mole fries. The pulpo taco is so tender and the flavors are so delicious - the best I have had. The mole fries are a must try and the elote is yummy too. But I'm not a fan of the salmon or Tesar taco. Also the staff and owner are very friendly. Quick service.
Ashley A — Google review
Killer taco spot with street and gourmet option. Friendly staff, fresh ingredients, and good sauces. The pulpo tacos are my go to. It has a large serving of tender octopus and the sauce is herby and full of flavor. The Campechano is basically the Pulpo plus carne asada, shrimp and pico. I tried the mezcal Bloody Mary and it was really well done. Mezcal over vodka all day. I highly recommend if you’re looking for really good tacos in the area bring just street tacos.
Kyle A — Google review
To simply put it: incredibly delicious food. I was really blown away. We tried the Thursday Special, Octopus Taco, Norteno Taco (Chicken), Mexican Corn, Carne Esada Taco, Carnitas Taco, and the Tres Leche dessert. This is not your typical taco joint, the flavors are unique and fresh. They use quality ingredients with incredible flavors. Also, the Horchata drink was really really good. The customer service was on point as well. These guys are featured on Diners, Drives, and Dine-In's for a reason. A must try place.
Esmir M — Google review
OMG, if you come to Dallas, it's a must stop! I heard about the Octopus tacos at tacos Mariachi and been meaning to check it out. Now that I'm leaving Texas for Fla. Decided to head down. The place did not disappoint, street food at its best! The Octopus tacos had cheese and a spicy tasty green sauce. The Mole fries with crema were so so good. All washed down with authentic Mexican coke made with sugar cane. I'm coming back this coming week again. #Winner!

OUTRAGEOUSLY TASTY PULPO AND POLLO AL PASTOR TACOS! This is an awesome taco joint! Super service; Eclectic Setting; and, Everything Tasted was Simply Fabulous! They have own parking lot at back! Three tacos per person for lunch is just right! Closed Mondays!

Their Camaron al Pesto Taco is defenitely worth a try! Their tacos are delicious, fresh ingredients, of a great quality. Tried Carnitas, Carne Asada, and Smoked Salmon. The Cashier was also kind enough to explain the menu when I mentioned it was my first time in. Overall a wonderful experience, will be back!

I live close and decided to give it a try... I ordered 3 Street Tacos Carne Asada w/cheese and a Cucumber Limeade (The best I’ve had) totaling 12bucks. I liked they gave all 3 sauces they make, to try (I like the yellow). I loved it was a quirky atmosphere, but was kinda disappointed they don’t serve rice & beans. I’ll be back to dine in next time and try the salmon tacos and a margarita.

Hattie's is a charming American bistro in the Bishop Arts neighborhood, offering a modern twist on traditional Southern recipes. The restaurant has been serving refined Lowcountry Southern fare for 18 years and is known for its renowned Sunday brunch. The menu features sophisticated yet simple dishes made with traditional ingredients that surprise and satisfy the palate.
My husband and I came here for dinner tonight and had such a great experience. The staff were all courteous and friendly. The food were fantastic. We got the pork chop and the bacon wrapped jalapeño stuffed quail and both were delicious. We especially loved the sides that came with them. The cocktails were good but a little too sweet for our taste. We luckily found a spot on the street nearby but we also got a reservation right when the restaurant opens for dinner. Overall a great experience, we will be back!

Excellent. Clean. Lively. Great service. The deviled eggs were awesome, the garlic cheese toast was super good, fried green tomatoes were pretty good. I will definitely come back and would recommend to others.

Amazing experience. We flew into Dallas to visit family, manner having been here, we wanted to try a local favorite. Hattie's was recommended, so we have reservations a few weeks ago. Our flight got in late, we called and Tony was able to move our time to later. We arrived and he greeted is with a smile. They were very busy, but our server Collin was there when we needed him and away when we wanted privacy. The drinks are mixed well and food was amazing. The fried okra is amazing and crab cake is just as good. Main dishes were the Mac and Cheese (grown up style) and the crusted catfish. Three food was perfect temp writing being too hot, the fish crust was just crispy enough and the fried okra was a nice spin being the whole okra fried and not in slices. Strongly recommend
James J — Google review
This establishment is a true gem! Not prohibitively expensive, tastefully decorated, professional servers, no trace of kitchen noises, and we didn't leave smelling like we had just slaved over a hot stove. Our entrees were beautiful. I planned on a salad, or the soup and mini grilled cheese, but instead ordered the special, which was a chicken fried, very thin, NY Strip, with mushroom gravy. It arrived on a bed of fluffy mashed potatoes, with a crisp/tender stalk of broccoli. Everything we ordered was definitely Southern comfort food, but far above the norm. Our server, Carlos, could not have done a better job! If you visit Hattie's, save room for dessert! The molten chocolate cake ordered by my granddaughter? Perfection! I was so happy that Carlos brought us extra spoons "just in case" we decided to give in to temptation. I'm eager to return for round two.

We went during dinner hours. The service was perfect. Our server attended to our needs without bothering us. He also made good food recommendations when we asked about certain dishes. For a party of two, we shared an appetizer of fried green tomatoes, the honeycrisp beets salad, and he got the pork chop while I got the bacon-wrapped quail. Everything was delicious! He also got a mule and I got a key lime martini, which were also good. We were too stuffed for dessert. We are eager to go back!

The food was delicious. I had lamb cooked medium and or was perfect. My wife had shrimp and grits and she said "It touched my soul. " The waiter here was so friendly and let me sample a red to go with my lamb. The braised greens were a nice touch to go with the lamb and cherry sauce. Next time I get $100 to. spend I'm coming here

First time here, we made reservations but arrived early & was seated immediately. Our waiter was very nice & attentive, I ordered the pecan crusted catfish w/greens & my hunny ordered the buttermilk fried chicken. The food came out hot & it was very good! Will come back for brunch on Sunday!
Donnielle K — Google review
Hattie's has been a favorite of mine since I first went in 2012, but during on my last visit, I could tell something was off with the taste of the food. As it turns out, the executive chef, Esteban, is no longer with the company. Sadly, the taste of the food is missing his touch. I still enjoy the restaurant, & I hope they figure out the magic that needs to return to the food. I'll be back soon.
