Hotel
Nestled in the picturesque Many Glacier area of Glacier National Park, Many Glacier Hotel offers a rustic yet comfortable retreat with no-frills rooms and an upscale restaurant. The hotel is located on the stunning Swiftcurrent Lake, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife. While some parts of the hotel are undergoing renovation, visitors can still enjoy the serene ambiance and scenic views during their stay.
Wow the view…Many Glacier Hotel is honestly a hidden gem! Buried in the Glacier National Park it has amazing views, coupled with exceptional hotel hospitality! Our bellman were amazing -no elevators so they carried luggage up and down those stairs! The staff was welcoming and our check in was a breeze! The food sadly was not my favorite, the walls were very thin, but the beds were comfortable, but it is an old hotel and the quaint and beauty lies within the walls! Take the boat ride very informative and it helps cut time on the hike! I would definitely stay here again but it just needs some up keep to help with maintaining this beautiful gem!

Beautiful stay. This is a historic hotel, so funky shower knobs, extremely thin walls and doors, etc. were par for the course. The location is unbelievably pretty. We snagged a one night cancelation in the last night this hotel was open in 2025. We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant, the duck leg was incredible at dinner. We had great hikes to Grinnell and Iceberg lake. Would love to stay here again.

Many Glacier Hotel, nestled in Glacier National Park, offers breathtaking lake and mountain views with a classic Swiss chalet charm. The historic lodge boasts cozy rooms, a grand lobby, and easy access to top hiking trails like Grinnell Glacier. While the rooms are simple and lack modern amenities (no TVs or Wi-Fi), the atmosphere and scenery more than compensate. The staff is friendly, and the dining options are solid, though pricey. Overall, it’s a perfect retreat for nature lovers seeking a rustic, unplugged experience surrounded by stunning alpine beauty.
Rahat C — Google review
This hotel is in heart of the National Park. It's pricey relatively, but you save yourself 30 minutes from having to drive from outside the park to inside. There are a few trails from the hotel so you literally just wake up and walk out. There are couple of restaurants: normal and fancy-normal with prices being $25 (or more) and $35 (or way more). Food is enjoyable and wouldn’t herald it as amazing for the price but still enjoyable. There are 2 refillable water stations around the main lobby. There are locals and immigrants who work the hotel, so it's pretty great in that regards. The basement has a convenient store for snacks (closes mid evening so pre-9pm) and lodging is on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floor. No TVs anywhere b/c why do you need it -- although WIFI is nice. It's basically a LARGE 3-story cabin with a fire in the middle of the lobby. It gets chilly at night (50-60s) so with the park being open from June-Oct, have a sweater at night. There's a grand piano in the lobby that some people can play. Down the hall is another untuned piano so if you aren't skilled, you can jam on that one too.
Justin L — Google review
The hotel is great—as long as you don’t expect modern comfort. Many Glacier Hotel is a historic site with more than 100 years of history. Staying here really feels like living inside history itself. The grand lobby, the rustic Swiss chalet style, and the astonishing lake view are unforgettable. If you can, book a higher-level room for an even better experience. That said, be prepared: it can also be a really rough stay. When the sun rises, the hotel turns into a hive of activity. Many guests leave early for hiking, which means I was woken up at 3 a.m. by kids running in the room above me. Every sound carries through—showers, toilets flushing, even parents yelling at kids to hurry up. It felt like a live show right above my ceiling. And just when things quieted down, my next-door neighbor started their morning routine. In short: the views and history are five stars, but the noise and comfort level are closer to two. Come for the experience and the scenery, not for a good night’s sleep.
Frye S — Google review
Stunning hotel in a stunning location. Walls are thin but if you put in a good day of activity, you won’t hear a thing. Friendly staff and the food is decent. Many options for buying alcohol not in bars. Mornings on the deck are phenomenal as are evenings. Nice gift shop and snack shop. Dinners were very good but the breakfast was average.
Paul W — Google review
The common areas are lovely and the views are epic. The majority of the service team were delightful, but they seem to be severely understaffed. I couldn't get into my room until after check-in time and every time I passed through the lobby there was someone at the desk complaining about a valid issue (more than one bride even, which def isn't ideal for a wedding day). There was also a mouse running around my room the next morning for about 10 minutes before it finally found a way out. Not a great way to start your day (even though I felt bad for the poor, scared critter). I reported this to the less than friendly man working at the front desk when I checked out, he said "oh, we'll set a trap then". No apologies, no "oh yikes how can we make this right?". I'd expect more from a hotel that's $300+ a night. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless it's strictly for the convenience of being able to access the Many Glacier hikes. Once the camping is open again (post construction) I'd legit rather just pay for a campsite and sleep in my car than stay here again. Hopefully they can staff up for next season and perhaps this was just a result of Many Glacier being at the end of their season and having lost staff members along the way?

5 STARS ALL AROUND! This hotel was absolutely incredible. My husband and I planned a last-minute trip and were lucky enough to snag a cancellation. It’s perfectly located—surrounded by some of the best hikes, all within walking distance. The views were breathtaking, and we truly didn’t want to leave. We’re already excited to come back!

Logan Pass is a breathtaking 6,646-ft.-elevation pass on the Continental Divide, offering stunning mountain views and featuring a visitor center. The Hidden Lake Trail starts at the Logan Pass Visitor Center and takes hikers through diverse terrain, from forested areas to alpine meadows teeming with wildlife and colorful wildflowers. The trail leads to the iconic Hidden Lake Overlook, where visitors can admire Bearhat Mountain towering over the twinkling alpine blue lake.
🌄 Breathtaking Beauty at Logan Pass! 🌄 Logan Pass is truly the crown jewel of the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park! The drive itself is spectacular, but reaching Logan Pass feels like arriving in a whole different world. Towering peaks, lush alpine meadows, and sweeping vistas in every direction — it’s picture-perfect at every turn. The Hidden Lake Overlook trail is a must-do if you visit. It’s a relatively short hike with incredible rewards: wildflowers, mountain goats, and panoramic views that make you stop and just take it all in. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, so get there early or take the shuttle — it’s absolutely worth it. Whether you’re here for a scenic drive, wildlife spotting, or hiking, Logan Pass delivers a truly unforgettable experience. Don’t miss it!
Pratik R — Google review
Beautiful area for hiking and sightseeing! Driving is a little steep and road is narrow. Parking is hard to get in the day time.
Julian M — Google review
What a PLACE!!! Absolutely stunning. Be sure to plan ahead and get the right passes. You need a pass to access the road and parking fills up fast. But the gorgeous hikes, views and wildlife sightings are unlike any others. It’s worth it to get up there early and watch the sunrise!
Rachel R — Google review
The short (about 3 miles round-trip) hike captures the majestic beauty of Glacier NP. More often than not, Bearhat Mountain & Hidden Lake are graced by the iconic mountain sheep with pure white coats. The toughest part of the trip is finding a parking spot at Logan Pass. Best plan is get to Logan Pass before sunrise or simply roll the dice. One plan is drop one couple off, return in 1.5 hours, and second couple takes the hike and pictures.
Lester K — Google review
Have visited a few times. Incredible views at Logan Pass which is about 6,400'. Trails here a little strenuous yet if you take your time, you'll likely find it was worth it. Since the park is open 24/7, we came back at midnight and took some cool night sky pictures. No light pollution at all. Glacier National Park is a splendid awe-inspiring view of nature at it'la finest.
D Z — Google review
Beautiful area. If you don’t want to fight for parking you need to arrive EARLY. Arrived at 6:30am got one of the last parking spots.
April C — Google review
A must-see on Going to the Sun road in Glacier. Very, very busy area though and we could not find parking anywhere around the Pass which was disappointing.
Christine V — Google review
There's no parking, too many mountains, the roads feel unsafe, the trails feel unsafe, it smells like DS, Devon kept marching ahead and wouldn't slow down, my knee hurts...2 stars

Bodies of Water
Lake McDonald, the largest lake in Glacier National Park, is a picturesque alpine lake that offers various activities such as kayaking and canoeing. The surrounding mountains provide a stunning backdrop for landscape photography during sunrise or sunset, with the calm waters of the lake reflecting the vibrant colors of the sky. Additionally, it's a popular spot for fishing and hiking to nearby attractions like Hidden Lake and Avalanche Lake.
Beautiful! We loved taking out a motorboat on this lake! Another time we did kayak/SUP. And we also liked to come eat some huckleberry ice cream and sit out on the benches to watch the sunset over the lake
Leah P — Google review
Beautiful lake, super clear water when the wind isn't making waves. The rocks have amazing colors. There are many different turnout spots where you can walk down and see the lake. It has great swimming opportunities as well as beaches to just lay and relax in the sun. I would recommend taking time to stop and walk down to the water for a better view when looking for a great reflective shot.
Jason D — Google review
An extremely beautiful spot! We came here as our last stop on the way out of the park. There weren’t a lot of people, the views were amazing, and the sound of the water was peaceful. A great view of the mountains with the lake and colorful rocks
Maham B — Google review
I have too many pictures of this lake from my trip. It’s beautiful, quiet during sunrise/sunset times and there are a plethora of areas to pull off at and take pictures!
Nicole P — Google review
Amazing views. Super clear water. Not too crowded when I was there but definitely could be during peak season as the beach is pretty small. Brought my inflatable kayak. All watercraft must be inspected and tagged by NPS before being allowed on the lake

Stunning mountains and crystal clear water. The rocks along the shore are beautiful multicolored. The lake is easily accessible, with several pull off. It's a very short drive from West Park Entrance.

Campground
Two Medicine Campground is a picturesque camping site located in Glacier National Park. It offers around 100 sites, including 10 for RVs, along with amenities such as restrooms and a store. The campground is situated amidst the breathtaking wilderness of the park, providing access to stunning natural features like evergreen forests, glacier lakes, and snowcapped peaks. Visitors can embark on a scenic 50-mile drive that winds through the national parkland, offering panoramic views and opportunities for wildlife sightings.
Absolutely stunning views! Perfect spot to dip your toes into the lake. We went on opening weekend and although it was crowded we still really enjoyed our campground and hanging out on the lake. Bonus gift shop with small coffee shop/breakfast options.
Caitlin B — Google review
Nice campground and base for a couple days of exploring and hiking in eastern Glacier National Park. Clean bathrooms. Some of the campsites can be a little tight so pay attention to descriptions when booking. Good hiking right out of campsites. Short hike up to store/cafe on lakeshore. Options for boat tours.
The Y — Google review
Fantastic campground! Everything in Glacier is beautiful and wonderful. Two Medicine has its own charm as it's less busy and a little more laid back than other campgrounds like Many Glacier. Sheep with their babies come down into the campground from the mountain to eat daily, they walk right by you very comfortably.
Jonathan J — Google review
Beautiful campground in a great location of the park. Just got back from a Montana Wyoming trip. Stayed 2 nights at glacier, first at fish creek and second at two medicine. Two medicine was by far our favourite site. There’s a pretty lake right beside the campground with clean swimming water and a great view. We preferred staying on east side of the park because driving on going to the sun road from east to west is prettier. Sites don’t have individual bear lockers. There are communal bear lockers around the campground. We stored food in our car for this reason.
Will M — Google review
Not big rig friendly and there is a low bridge getting to road that reads 12.8 FYI for some RVers. This is the most beautiful place if youre lucky to spend a day or two here to go hiking the many trails around these Two Medicine Lakes. You will enjoy the views all around. General store near boat ramp has some ready made food items and souvenirs etc. The boat trip takes you to other side of lake and lets you out for a guided hike short to two falls.
Jojo G — Google review
This is one of the best campground we’ve been to. It is serene, peaceful and so close to nature and wildlife. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back again!

Beautiful spot! Great place to fish and paddle. We caught a ranger talk on apex predators, and while it was certainly child-focused, we learned quite a bit! Great trailheads nearby. The bathrooms were in pretty good shape too.

Nestled within the historic Many Glacier Hotel, the Ptarmigan Dining Hall is a captivating dining destination that beautifully marries stunning architecture with exquisite cuisine. After a day of exploring, guests are welcomed into an enchanting space adorned with a grand stone fireplace and intricate wood beams, all restored to highlight its rich history. While reservations aren't accepted, the wait is well worth it for those eager to indulge in dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients presented in a refined continental style.
Food taste amazing, service is excellent, atmosphere is superb! All 5 stars to this restaurant 🌟 Food is taste better than I expected. Both salad and braised bison short ribs are very tasty. We also got sherbet crisp with huckleberry ice cream. It’s not too sweet. We love it. We got table by the window. The view is stunning. Highly recommend! If you come to hiking around many glacier hotel, you should stop by it. It’s located inside the hotel.

For the price, it’s very okay. The food is fine. The duck wing appetizer was pretty good. The arugula salad? Average. The prime rib with horseradish? Solid. A little dry. Rare is closer to medium rare bc it was later in the day. Diced potatoes with steam charred veggies? Solid enough. Overall, good server. Food is 3 star based on flavor and for the price. Granted you are on a mountain in Glacier Park so you can’t expect amazing. I still enjoyed our meal and time.
Justin L — Google review
Please save your money to eat something else even just the pub next door where it serves sandwiches. the service was awful. I get they are seasonal but it's August and they are still not trained at this point that's a problem. our waitress has no idea what's in the menu and doesnt know what's prime rib i had to point it out on the menu to show her what i'm ordering. and for steaks, she didnt ask how to be cooked, until she is ready to walk away we told her how I want my steak to be cooked. The bison rib is way overcooked in the oven, it's almost like a jerky, super tough to eat and dry. worst bison ever. The prime rib served in a very pale color that ive never seen a beef that pale. and it's barely cooked , even the fat part is light pink that's undercooked. this place is only for a convenience of getting around in Many Glacier area especially during the construction, limited vehicle allowed inside. but the rooms are tiny and outdated. food are awful. worst money spent in the whole trip.

Had dinner here after our hike to Grinnel Glacier. We are vegetarian and had kale and tomato soup, pasta, potato leek mushroom ravioli, and cheesecake. Everything was delicious. We wanted to window seat so had to wait for ~20mins. Otherwise there was a wait of about 10mins for other seats. If you are very hungry and want food quickly the service may feel slow. But the place was very busy and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Pulkit G — Google review
First table we were seated at, we could not see due to sun shining directly at us. Second table was better until ten minutes later and exactly the same. Windows were so dirty and coated in bird excrement that it made the sun reflection worse. When you looked up, the cobwebs all over the pergola and support beans set the stage for the poor food and even worse service. Ugh. Do. Not. Eat. Here! The trout pate tastes like a poor man's tuna fish, the duck wings taste like overcooked chicken wing, dry and meatless.. The Pasta prima Vera I cannot speak to, since they filled my order incorrectly with arugula salad and the waiter did not have the courage to come address the issue after it was pointed out to the server. The manager could not have cared less. Some how he thought if he credited the meal and brought it out in a to go box with plastic silverware, after everyone else in our group had finished their meals, that would make it OK. Yeah, no. After hiking 12 miles and just wanting to have something to eat, that is what you get for service and food?, you are much better off, bringing a cooler and your own food!!! Or perhaps foraging in the gift shop. Do not spend your hard earned money at this restaurant. I guarantee you will be disappointed.
Susan W — Google review
Not so many options on the menu. Small portions with high price, especially the appetizer. The food tastes okay, but not very impressive. We added a steak for our pasta, but it was like $15 and very small and overly grilled with burnt smell. Also, there are lots of empty tables, but we still have to wait for half an hour.
Chin-Hsuan C — Google review
We got the house salad, lentil burger, and pasta dish they had. Very happy with all the vegan options they had. The food was surprisingly good and would definitely come back here. Got a huckleberry Marg from here as well which didn’t quite taste like a margarita because there was no tequila but was still good
Matt H — Google review
Staff here were extremely nice, they let us order a few items off the other restaurants list on request, brought us those menus. The waitstaff checked in with us a ton, we never ran out of drink refills. The view of the lake was amazing. We hiked in from Logan pass so were disheveled, stinky. They kept our packs behind the check in desk which was very kind. The food was atrocious and expensive. Our group ordered a house salad, lentil burger, pasta primavera, burgers and sliders. The salad was large which was nice but house dressing was not good. Lentil burger was literally a dry lentil paddy on a bun and a half dollar sized amount of odd sweet balsamic type sauce. No tomato, lettuce, onion, pickle, no toppings or veggies on a vegetarian burger. The pasta primavera sauce tasted like there was just a bunch of mayo dumped on it. I didn't eat the other burgers but no one like them, all either way too minimal/low quality ingredients or poorly cooked. We are hungry, easy going hikers and none of us finished our food. I can't say that's ever been the case before. The host remarked they'd recently lost staff and had new folks in the kitchen which I can believe...end of season, low paying remote location jobs can be tough. Maybe learning the job was the cause, or maybe a recipe or ingredient issue. If I returned I would get fries and a coke. Only safe bets from what we got.

Motel
Located in the Many Glacier area of Glacier National Park, Swiftcurrent Motor Inn offers a budget-friendly lodging option for travelers. Built in 1935 to cater to auto travelers and hikers, the property features simple motel-style rooms and rustic cabins with shared restrooms. Additionally, guests can enjoy a fully-stocked camp store, gift shop, and a restaurant serving delicious pizzas and sub sandwiches.
I elected to stay in a cabin so I could be right by the Ptarmigan Tunnel/Iceberg Lake trailhead after sunrise for a 15-mile day hike. It was very comfortable and the small bed was comfy, I slept like a baby! Perfect for what I wanted to accomplish before a long, magnificent hike. This is for cabins not the Inn. Has a sink but no private bathroom/shower and WiFi doesn’t exist except at the visitor center so keep in mind before booking. I knew all that and didn’t care, it worked out great! You don’t need to be plugged in out here, get out and enjoy the magnificent scenery as Many Glacier imo is the most beautiful section of Glacier National Park. And there are plenty of trailheads close by, ranging from easy to difficult. Wildlife galore. It was definitely worth the money and was beautiful, quiet, and comfortable for me. Highly recommended.

Alas, the Swiftcurrent Inn/Many Glacier Hotel will be closing 16Sep2024 for major infrastructure repairs during 2025 and maybe into 2026. The road leading into Swiftcurrent/Many Glacier will also be repaved during this time. Though the trails in and around this area will still be accessible, check with the Visitors Center where to park and how the trailheads will be affected. This is the go to place for some of the best hikes in Glacier. Recommend the motel rooms w/private baths instead of the cabins. Rates in 2024….$275/night. Super friendly welcoming staff with the in house restaurant…. Nell’s which was surprisingly good for National Park food.
Emi C — Google review
The room was average, but the value for money was decent. Timing is crucial if you want to use the public bathrooms, but the shower was better than I expected, though there was a bit of a smell since it was shared. What surprised me was the restaurant. Honestly, I loved the food there, but for some reason the restaurant’s ratings are relatively low on Google. I had the burger with avocado and chicken or beef several times, and it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.

Location location location! After spending time at Fish Creek Campground and St. Mary's campground in Glacier National Park, we stayed at this National Park Hotel our final two nights in Glacier. After experiencing driving to trail heads daily the location to all the Many Glacier hikes in this area cannot be beat! If you still want to cook your own meals, you also have the option of using the picnic area directly across the street so that's not an issue. We enjoyed breakfast at their cafe, and the food served was definitely value for money and tasty! Vegan and vegetarian options available to set you up for a day of big hikes. Staff was very friendly. Giving the rooms a rating of 3/5 stars as the room did not have many outlets (after six days camping we had a lot to charge) and there was only Wifi in the lobby. After 3PM you could forget about trying to use the lobby wifi at all as it was too many people. Could not get a podcast to download. They also have free ice and paid laundry facilities on site which was an added bonus. Hot water and great water pressure in the shower as well. I would definitely add a stay here on to your trip if you are tent camping most days. It's a nice little treat!

We are writing this review about the incredible 5 star service provided at this hotel. First if you are interested in seeing wildlife, this hotel is in a perfect location with many trails close by. The general store has a huge variety of snacks and souveniers at reasonable prices. While we did not stay at this hotel, we found the service provided by Kaitlyn and other staff to be absolutely amazing. We had spent several days looking to see wildlife and came up empty handed. We asked rangers, guides and locals. We understand that seeing wildlife is hit or miss. What was so remarkable about Kaitlyn is that she took out a map and gave us many locations to try. She was so pleasant and helpful about where to hike, where to eat etc that we were sorry we hadn't stayed at this hotel. To our delight after following Kaitlyn's valuable suggestions, we did safely see some memorable wildlife and went on several beautiful hikes. Even if you don't stay at this hotel, it's in an a picturesque location in Many Glaciers and well worth the drive.

Good food and fairly decent service for what it is. We’ve experienced similar rooms, food, and store managed by the same provider at the nation’s first national park and this experience was better. The rooms are spartan to say the least and the bed could be a lot better but we enjoyed the overnighter. Although they claim not to have public WiFi, it was good as long as you were inside the building.

We loved this place! The cabins are cozy and have a full bathroom and separate sink. They warm up quickly (temps in the 40-50’s while there) and include a box fan to help cover neighbor noises. They have a restaurant (good food and friendly staff), gift shop, and general store for supplies. And we saw a bear in the field beside the restaurant :)

I stayed here for a night back in June, it was my first night in Glacier and a great starting point for my trip. I stayed in the rooms behind the main building, it had its own bathroom (which I believe some do not). Room was clean, staff was accommodating, and the location was great for easily getting to some notable hikes early in the morning. Coming from an urban area, there were some adjustments that I’d say those looking to stay here should make note of- location is fairly remote, there is only Wifi/ cell service available in the lobby, and there are no TV’s in the rooms. This worked fine for me as my focus was a quiet getaway and being in nature, however those who like to unwind in their rooms after excursions or those with children just have to plan accordingly! There is a restaurant on property, I only ate breakfast there and it served its purpose! gift shop was notably one of the best I came across in my week in Glacier. I would definitely return!

Inn
Nestled along the iconic Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park, Rising Sun Motor Inn offers a nostalgic 1950s-era motel experience with its refurbished TV-free rooms and cabins. Located just six miles west of St. Mary Visitors Center and a short stroll from St. Mary Lake, this inn provides convenient access to popular nearby trails like Sun Point Nature Trail and Virginia Falls Trail.
The Rising Sun is a charming trip back in time. Yes, it is an older style of cabin motel but has everything you need. The location inside the park, close to a variety of hiking trails is excellent. The staff was very helpful and consistently pleasant. Our room had everything we needed and was spotless. The on site restaurant had a variety of options and we enjoyed several meals there. There was a well stocked camp store. If we get to visit Glacier NP again, we will try to get rooms at the Rising Sun.

Delightfully casual mountain retreat in East Glacier National Park St Mary’s Lake area. Our motor inn room was cheerfully decorated with a Red Bus theme and very comfy with lots of bed pillows. Really enjoyed our Adirondack chairs on the porch for star gazing and wine sipping. Restaurant on site was good quality and essential. Two gift shops offer a wide selection of fun items plus supplies.

08-31-2025. We stayed at Rising Sun Motor Inn a lovely stay right inside the National Park! The wooden cabins have a beautiful view of the mountains right from the window. A few trails even start from the area, which is super convenient for hikers. You’ll find plenty of huckleberry bushes nearby, but remember, it’s bear country, so stay alert. The restaurant serves good food, and there’s a general store for essentials and souvenirs. Wifi is only available in the restaurant area, and there’s no phone signal in the cabins or most parts of the park, so make sure to download offline maps in advance. ⭐ Bonus tip: Try waking up early you might spot deer or even elk wandering near the cabins at sunrise! I hope you’ll like my review — I tried to give you a heads-up and a quick glimpse!

We stopped at Rising Sun for dinner and ate at Two Dog Flats Grill. We did not stay in the hotel or camp site. The restaurant is a little small, so it can fill up quickly. We had a ten minute wait at 5pm, but we were ahead of the dinner rush by 10-15 minutes. Great food options. My wife had a duck special (it was good!), my son had fish nuggets and a salad, I had a pulled pork sandwich (served with coleslaw on the bun, just like I enjoy!), and my daughter had a hamburger from the kids menu. Great view out the windows. Our waitress was fantastic. We had excellent service all night. My 7yo daughter was hangry, but the waitress talked with her and tried cheering her up every time she came to the table. A+++ waitress.

For a motor inn these rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Unfortunately room service didn’t make our beds which was a bummer, especially for the steep $290/night price tag. Alas, a great spot on the east end of the park.

Stayed in a Cabin 7A and it was clean and cute but a bit small for the 4 of us with 2 double beds. I am not super tall 5,9 but I had not enough room for my legs…anyway it is what it is, a double bed and not a queen or kingsize. Not a big deal. The big deal was the super lourd noise coming from the hot water faucet…and we did not have enough hot water for the four of us to have a quick hot shower. All this aside, it was fun to sleep in this pretty yellow Cabin. We had neighbors in 7B and we were worried because of the thin wall separating the two units but they were quiet, so all good. It would have been good to have a fridge in the room but there was not a lot of space to put it. No AC but with windows open we were fine. We had dinner at the two dog flats very close to our cabin and the service was excellent (Thanks Paul) but the food was so so. We had ribs and they were dry and super hard. Normally baby back ribs will be juicy and tender and the meat will separate from the bones easily but the ones we had were stiff and it was very difficult to cut the meat from the bones…worst ribs I ever had. My wife had a trout fillet, supposedly local but it did not taste anything…One of us had a burger and it was good. Well overpriced but it is the price to pay to be in a national park… The next morning we had the breakfast buffet and it was good and the service as well. The only issue was the coffee that was awful…I am a coffee person and I had only one sip… To note that two cooks were playing super loud music while working during breakfast, not a big deal but it was weird to hear rap music while watching the great view of Glacier National Park! We chose this place to have a tour the next morning to do the Going to the sun road and it was overall a good experience. Less crowded than on the West side.

We had a magical time at Rising Sun Motor Inn. We were in spacious room number 7. Seth set us up in a large corner room with views in multiple directions. Seating is provided outside to check out scenery and wildlife. Seth also provides excellent advice on hiking in the area. He set us up for a great hike from Baring Falls to St Mary’s, and on the Virginia Falls. It was a fantastic hike with exuberant falls. Logan Pass trails and the Highline Trail are fantastic hikes closeby which we have done in the past under better weather conditions. Seth carefully clued us in on which trails would be perfect for us and ones which were not due to hazardous icy conditions. He was spot on! There is at least one trailhead on premises for an interesting hike with views. It is easy to walk from the lodging area to the general/gift store and restaurant. Prices are reasonable. The food was so good that when we moved on the Many Glacier Hotel, we went back there to have the Red Mole Pasta with trout one more time. The cook is marvelous. Lindsey, Anthony, and Lilianna and the other restaurant servers are more then friendly and knowledgeable. They make you feel like family. We can't recommend this facility enough. We have stayed there before and if we ever went back to Glacier, we would certainly stay there again.

This is our second trip to Glacier NP and we loved our three day stay in a cabin at Rising Sun. Experiencing Glacier NP from the East entrance was outstanding. We traveled from Rising Sun to East Glacier for a Red Bus tour. We went through a part of the Blackfoot Nation. The views were dramatic. We saw some wildlife (bears (2), horses, and deer. It was cloudy day 2 so we drove through the Blackfoot Agency to Great Falls to see the "wide Missouri" river. It was raining the last day as we left Rising Sun for Kalispell on the rock strewn and cloudy Going to the Sun road East to West. Fabulous trip, thank you.

Coffee shop
Heidi’s Snack Shop & Espresso Stand is a convenient spot located in the basement of Many Glacier Hotel, offering a variety of options including coffee, hot food items, and grab-and-go meals and snacks. Operating from 7 am to 7 pm, it's an ideal place to grab some caffeine, cold drinks, or quick bites. With affordable breakfast and lunch options priced at around $10 or less per person, it's a great stop for a satisfying meal.
To be honest, this is actually a great coffee & snack shop! Employees are really nice, kind, and really funny. I can ask them everything without hesitation. Coffee is amazing for the price, and their snacks are also tasty too! I’m not sure about those negative reviews... You’re a guest, not a god. Please be respectful to employees too because they’re working for you and they didn’t ask you to pay, so if you don’t want to pay, just don’t. It’s better than when you’re not satisfied with something and blame employees. This is just a small café not Starbucks; if you want real food, go to the restaurant (it’s upstairs)!

Quick grab n go processed breakfast food/sandwiches & drinks. Reasonably priced given it's not fresh. Coffee is amazing. Somewhat of a language barrier but the team of foreign staff are patient and friendly.

Got a vanilla oat iced latte and tried a huckleberry one the next day and both were amazing! Great prices, just 50¢ for flavor and/or alt milk which is cheap as hell! And I struggle to get extra ice at a lot of coffee shops but this barista knows what she's doing and gave me the perfect amount ❤️ as a barista myself, I was so pleased to find such a well balanced and well crafted latte! Was the perfect end of hike treat!

Dropped by to grab some coffee before venturing out for the day. The coffee shop is situated inside Many Glacier hotel and the scenery here is to die for. My latte was perfect. I also grabbed a huckleberry soda which was delicious and I was wishing I had gotten a couple more. They have some great breakfast options as well. Service was quick despite the line in the morning.

It was ok food but pretty good price point at great location (might be because of good restaurants right next to them). Limited cold sandwich and food options but totally works for quick grab and go. Tried couple of drinks but they were not up to mark. Ppace was beautiful, right below hotel and spectacular views right outside the door.

Very decent prices for food and coffees. I got a mocha and the sausage and egg bites. They were delicious so I ordered another 😀. My family had a few muffins, bacon and egg breakfast sandwiches, latte. Everything was good and fairly priced. Not sure about the negative reviews. It’s called Heidi’s SNACK Shop and it had more than just snacks.

I recently visited this place and was quite disappointed with the experience. After ordering my coffee, I noticed I didn't receive a receipt. About 30 seconds later, I asked the barista, an African American girl, for it, and she responded with an attitude, saying she had ripped it up. When I requested a reprint, she curtly said, "No, I can't do that. The barista's rudeness was unnecessary and left a bad impression. Customer service should be a priority, and this experience was far from pleasant. I hope the management addresses this issue.

Polebridge Mercantile & Bakery is a historic establishment located just outside Glacier National Park, about an hour north of Kalispell. Built in 1914, it offers a rich history and is renowned for its delicious pastries such as the famous Huckleberry Bear Claw. The bakery operates from April to November and provides a quaint atmosphere with spectacular mountain views.
Beyond impressed with this place. We stopped by on our way to the North Fork entrance of the park. In my opinion an absolute must for any Glacier trip. Pastries were great, everyone was incredibly nice, and they have a wide selection of other items if you need anything. The road here along the west side of the park is not paved, and it’s quite the bumpy ride. I’d recommend entering the park on the going to the sun road and then driving north through the park as far as you can to get here.

The drive to this place was beyond beautiful! Their baked goods are delicious. We purchased the poppy cream cheese, a honey bun, a cinnamon roll, the spinach and artichoke, and the pepperoni roll. They have some cute merch items to purchase. We also got a sweet little visit from the resident horse. The drive out is worth it alone.

We were there twice on my visit to Montana while camping on the flathead. I can't speak as to the accomodations but the bakery is amazing. Staff was helpful and genuine. Be prepared to pay extra for goods that you need but the quality is well worth it IMHO. Also helps that it's in a beautiful place.

Such a fun place after a long drive on mostly unpaved roads. The food is absolutely incredible (try the Huckleberry Bearclaw and the Pizza Rollie) and the staff in there are so kind and helpful. The cat sleeping on the merchandise was also a big hit for me. Check this out if you are in the area on the way to the North Fork entrance to Glacier National Park.

IMO it's worth the drive. The bumps on the gravel stretch weren't horrible, but DO expect points where the clouds of gravel dust take the visibility down to 10 feet or so. The Polebridge village is tiny but interesting. The views of the mountains are gorgeous. There is nothing unique about the store offerings and the prices seem extremely high even given how far off the beaten path this place is. Any staff I dealt with was polite but seemed to be "done with it" this late in the season.

Great place to visit while at Glacier. Had breakfast the first day, huckleberry claws and lunch the second, pizza sandwich. Both excellent. Highly recommend. And clean bathrooms.

This was definitely worth coming to. the drive was a little rough on our little car (mostly gravel road) but well worth the trip to come here for the history, some good snacks, and you could have definitely had a full meal at the salon next door

It’s quite the drive down a gravel road to get here, but the huckleberry bear claw is worth the drive! We also enjoyed the cinnamon roll and various cookies. All of it was delicious.
