There are no trails or walking paths even remotely close to the hotel. The service at the spa is terrible! I emailed back and forth with George only to arrive weeks later and not have a reservation. The front desk wasn’t customer focused and, effectively, blamed the mixup on me saying I should have called to verify. If you’re coming to Sedona to be in town or if you want to get in your car for everything then maybe stay here. If you’re coming to enjoy the outdoors then stay elsewhere.

Loved the fresh baked cookies and bread each day as well. Tons of bottled water, coffee, tea, drinks, and snacks readily available. The gift shop is super cute and adorned with local creations and products. The location is super convenient to anywhere you may want to visit in Sedona and close enough to drive to the Grand Canyon for a day trip. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this gem!

The breakfasts were so hearty and filling that we skipped looking for lunch both days of our stay. We did do an on site massage and that was lovely. I loved the robes provided in our room. If I had room in my bag I would have inquired purchasing one. In summary, this was a great stay in Sedona. I’d love to come back and explore the different rooms. My only regret regarding this stay is that I didn’t swim or make use of the hot tub.

The room was beautiful and very clean. Even the soaps themselves were nice. We got a room that had a Peloton, hand bell weights, and yoga mats. There were 3 TV's in the room and a beautiful gas fireplace. Really nice black out window treatments. The pool was nice. We listened to live music played in the Den. Loved it. I didn't actually eat the continental breakfast, so I don't know how that works. They had a variety of activities available. Booking the stay and checking in were super easy. Just a great hotel. The room was super small with this gigantic king bed frame as the center piece. Whatever, I had a feeling it was small but this was pretty obnoxious for the room size to have such a bulky frame. As soon as we arrived we were fighting off mosquitoes and gnats. We look on the bed side table and find a mosquito repellent essential oil "gun". That was our first massive red flag, which I'm extremely curious how no one seems to mention this issue in the reviews. There were electric flyswatters out on the patio, so this is obviously a problem. The bathroom had probably 10-15 flying around or hanging out in the shower which was disgusting to encounter. We again looked passed it and struck it up as an inconvenience we could deal with. Fast forward to after we returned from dinner. We get back, encountered by the same flying friends even though we've probably killed 20 by this point only to realize the walls are paper thin. Everyone outside enjoying the weather sounded like they were out on our personal patio. We decided to go outside as well and enjoy the weather and fireplace table on our personal patio, only to discover the propane was empty. It's after the time the last employee in the office is gone by this point so there wasn't anyone to ask for a replacement and we didn't want to go out in the general area to try other tables. We wanted to utilize our private area that we paid for ($830 or so for (2) nights, really one since we abandoned ship). We say whatever again and go inside to unwind, only to again realize how paper thin the walls are. Every conversation our room neighbor had was very clear, even over the TV. We felt like we had to whisper the entire night because we didn't want to annoy our neighbors which is ridiculous. Now the middle of the night comes and we have to deal with screaming drunks from 10pm - 2am. Fast forward to the morning after a lovely night. We are woken up at 7am to the sound of our room neighbors turning on their bathroom fan and shower. The fan sounds like it's in our room and the rushing water is clearly overhead over our room and it's obnoxiously loud. It was at this point we said forget it, we're leaving today. I went to go to the office to discuss the issues and check out and they don't open until 9am. I texted the number which is allegedly the owner and said we're trying to check out after having a horrific night and we would rather end our trip early and go home. They replied later in the morning around maybe 9:30 and said something to the effect of, "no worries there's no official checkout policy. Thanks for staying with us!" I think there was a heart emoji thrown in too. I wasn't even looking for a refund or anything, never mentioned it in my initial text and they didn't even have the desire to ask questions or ask me why we had such an awful stay that we would rather fork over $400 to literally NOT stay another night. I was blown away and didn't even engage further via text because I could tell we would get nowhere. That was my final attempt for them to save face and not post a full review of how our stay was. I maybe would have bumped it to a 2 or a 3 if they seemed to even show a single ounce of care. But here we are, a full review of our entire one night stay which in the end cost us $830+ since we decided to opt out of our last night. Don't come expecting the luxury of a Hilton. Instead you will find a quaint roadside motel super-well located at the end of the touristy strip in Sedona with noce toiletries and cozy decor.
