Super nice place, clean, well decorated, hipster style. The music was very "different". Excellent service, super attentive staff, the order came super fast. We tried the spinach pizza and the mushroom pizza with bacon. Tasty and a good size for one person. We shared 2 to 3 people. It has a list of craft and local beers. The prices, for Swedish standards, are good. Highly recommended.

We happened to walk past this place while on a short trip in Gothenburg and decided to stop for some beers. They have a superb variety of beers. Such a lively ambience and friendly service, we ended up revisiting the place for pizzas, the next day. I had the most unique and yummy pizzas here.
Cool place. Friendly staff. Nice outdoor picnic table seating makes for good people watching on a cool street. Great beer with a good selection. Pizza cooked and presented well. Salads very plentiful with fresh ingredients. Pizza salad had a nice dressing, however there was too much of it and was overpowering. Should have asked for it on the side. Otherwise a great stop. Highly recommended!
It's a great place to meet your friends there. Especially for people loves to drink 🍺. They have many good beers to choose from.
Parking places are easy to find.
They changed recently inside the design, and it looks much better. I love the design of the table. They have their own style.

Probably the best Napoli type pizza in Göteborg. Very different menu. They have many variations of beer on tap (20cl/40cl) from local breweries (Dugges, Beerbibliotek). Sourdough pizza’s a must try - instead of typical tomato sauce base, they have cauliflower cream for example. Ordering can be done from the table via app. Friendly service. Do try the pumpkin and cauliflower pizza.

Small but decent board and fridges that should satisfy your belgo cravings. A good selection of vintage stouts, stong ales and sours.

Small cellar bar (as the name suggests, didn't count the rooms) with it's own beers as well as guests. Interesting decor, beer bar with lots of signs, wooden barrels and bits and pieces. Good service and beer, relaxing to be sat outside with a glass of beer, it's on a fairly quiet street yet close to the busy Kungsportsavenyen. Well worth including on a list of Gothenburg craft beer bars.
If Belgian beers are of your taste, then this is the place to be. They have a good selection of Belgian drafts, and a good number of other Belgian-style beers to order.
They brew their own beer that is served, all of which I've tried are pleasant social drinks. Calm tastes, but great depth.

Lovely place, the owner it is a real nice and there are tons of a real good beer. If you like Belgium beer, this is the right place to visit.
Excellent beer bar with an extensive selection of beers. The bar also brews its own beers, and they are quite high quality. Prices are decent depending on which beer you try. There are some exotic bottles in the fridges by the entrance and some can be quite pricey.
The bar also has some lighter food, in addition to a small pizza selection. The food is vegetarian/vegan. We tried the pizzas and they were excellent.
The owner is extremely friendly and an interesting character as well. His Iranian background is evident from the Persian rugs decorating the walls. The bar is filled with interesting beer memorabilia.
We tried many different beers, starting with the homebrewed beers. The IPAs were excellent and so were the others we tried. We tried mostly beers on tap. Interestingly, the bar also has Jever on tap, which is quite unusual in Sweden.
We enjoyed our visit very much and will come back again.
Definitely one of my favourite bars I've ever been to. A huge selection of amazing beers in bottle, mostly belgium. But the ones on tap are really good local ones. Especialy their own house brewed ones. Layed out inside is great with a bunch of memorabilia on the walls. Plenty of seating, great music, even seats outside.
Brewpub with lots of bottled beers (mostly Belgian) and around 15 taps. We tried some of the house beers, they are not mind-blowing but they are good and not terribly expensive. Imports were very pricey though, so we avoided them. Good service, clean toilet. Quiet place with smooth jazz playing on the background. Not much food, didn't try any. Had a good time.

Haket is a popular neighborhood pub located near the lively streets of Andra Langgatan and Tedje Langgatan in Gothenburg. It boasts an extensive beer selection, with over 350 bottles and seven draft options. The pub features an outdoor terrace and an upstairs room for pub quizzes and karaoke nights, making it a favorite hangout spot. Additionally, Haket serves classic pub meals as well as Japanese food on select days.
I first went here 16 years ago, now it's expanded into the building next door giving lots more space. It has a "retro" feel with a cafe bar type feel at the front, big windows so lots of light, and casks stacked around (actual casks not kegs!). The beer range was very good, wide and interesting, although the list wasn't easy to read (I used untappd). Good beers, nice place to watch trams pass outside with a beer. I'll be back.

The pub to visit in Gothenburg. Great variety of modern craft beers as well as classic quality beers. Taster sizes available. Nice and relaxed atmosphere. One evening we visited, we were lucky to join a jam session of irish folk music.
Easily reached via tram from anywhere in Gothenburg. A good selection of draft beers and a large selection of cans and bottles, some of which are rather expensive.

Wow! What a service! Did I mention how awesome is their service? The staff couldn’t be more friendly and professional. And apart from that, the bar is amazing! From a pretty good selection of craft beers - very good IPAs, NEIPA & Imperial IPA (personal taste, but there are others) - to amazing options of finger food, this bar is all we could ask for after a day in Gothenburg.
This bar offers a genuinely warm welcome and boasts a fascinating crowd of truly unique individuals. But the real star is the impressive selection of diverse and interesting beers – something for every palate! Definitely worth a visit.

Great spot in Göteborg! 🍻 Haket has an amazing selection of beers (both on tap and bottled) and the staff really know their stuff — always friendly and helpful with recommendations. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with a nice mix of people, and the food is much better than your average pub. Perfect place for a night out with friends or to try something new. Just like the name states it is a bar with a lot of rooms, where the founders brought posters, memorabilia and other things that they love from everywhere and decorated the place. Lots of rooms, going into other rooms (using as much space they can!) and other rooms. All of which is not necessarily negative. Just…a lot. Of a lot. But ok ciders, good beers and a place to be for all kinds of people (even kids, split opinion about kids in bars though). So if you want a little bit of everything and good beer - just go hang there.

Poppels Citybryggeri is a remarkable brewery located in central Gothenburg, with an impressive capacity of 170 seats. The beer is directly pumped from the yeast tank to the serving tank, offering a unique and fascinating experience for visitors. Great food and great service!
I had a hard time deciding what to drink, so they let me taste several of their beers so I could find the right one! A lot of fun and special beers on their menu.
Food came quickly as well.
Only drawback for me was the open area and the volume. Could do nice with some dividers and sound dampening.

Visited for the brewery tour and beer tasting on a Saturday. Great value for money, three tasty beers with commentary for each one, short brewery tour although the brewery itself is very small. The tour was in a large group but seating for the tasting was at individual tables. Food and additional drinks are available, and you can bring your beer along on the brewery tour. Very knowledgeable guide.
A really nice spot right in the heart of Gothenburg, close to the Central Station. Poppels has a great atmosphere — perfect for both relaxing and socializing. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the city!

My son and I visited Poppels Citybryggeri unexpected and someone took the effort to show and explain about the brewing process. We also had a little beer provning..very very nice ecperience!!!
We had dinner here in august in a working day. We tryed some snacks and they're really tasty,served in large portions. Service is fast,they're really friendly and beer is good, too.
Quite expensive, but I supposed not far from other pubs and restaurants in Goteborg.

Such a unique place! From graffiti on the walls to board games on the shelves, it’s both dog- and kid-friendly—and on top of that, the beer is great. The staff were warm and welcoming, and we even got a pleasant surprise with an impromptu brewery tour!
The only downside: as non-locals, we couldn’t figure out the parking situation and unfortunately ended up with a fine.
A bit out of the centre but a short tram ride is all it takes. Beers were average, sorry lads.

The Beerbliotek Tap Room is located slightly outside the city center and is open for a few hours on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons. The taproom offers a compact space with a small bar serving a selection of beers on draught and from cans. Run by six friends from around the world, the brewery follows a simple philosophy of brewing only what they would enjoy drinking themselves, resulting in an extensive library of beers to explore.
Beer heaven! As I was driving I only got one of their light beer. Even then, the atmosphere made it a great experience. There is a very large selection and the opportunity to enjoy a proper beer tasting. I visited during a day the kitchen was closed but they have chips available! Very friendly service and cool setup! Totally recommended!

Small brewpub but it could need some more audio dampening, gets quite loud when full. But nice brews from the tanks on the other side of the windows or just from cans. You get a 10x beer tester card for 350Sek and the n you can try all of them if you want or why not take 2 of your future favorite.

Unexpected place in one of the lateral street, close to the centre shopping mall. The pub looks old and well maintained to give a feeling of how sailors lived it in the past. Tasty burgers and a lot of beer choices. Looking forward to have another round here!
I liked the raw steak although it was my first try! The quality of the meat was very good. The burger was fatty but tasted good. The fries were crispy and delicious! I didn’t like the service because I asked for a glass of water and the waitress pointed: you can grab it from there!

The beers were excellent and refreshing. I tried the typical traditional Swedish dish and I was extremely satisfied.

An excellent place to visit. I felt welcomed by the staff and other customers when I visited for an evening. It was my first night in Gothenburg and the best I could of wished for. The prices were good too, several beers andxa meal came to approx. £60 per person, very reasonable for a good entertaining night!
I’m a huge fan of beers so got really excited when my sambo suggested for us to have dinner here. I had the deer Wallenberg served with mashed potatoes and lingonberry while he had the double patty spicy burger as he was starving! To be honest, I was quite disappointed with my food as I expected the dish to be “better”. More sauce, more greens perhaps? Just to lift up the dish. I know it’s a husmanskost but I was expecting more. Definitely think that my sambo’s burger was the better choice with its juicy beef patties and the charred bits were really good.
The beer selection is so wide. Prices of beers vary wildly depending on what beer you choose. We each spent around 500kr each with 2 beers and a main course. Service is friendly and great, and ambiance is quite cosy. The tables are quite close to the other tables so it can be troublesome to get to your seat or to get out of your seat unless if you’re sitting on the outside areas. I’d return again for beers, but maybe less excited for the food.
I stumbled upon this one while looking for local bars and it's undoubtedly a place for beer lovers. They have an extensive range of beers on draft, both local and international. The bartender had a good knowledge of beers with very nice suggestions and had a really nice chat on brewing as well. The service is top notch and super quick. Apart from beers, they also have a very good collection of spirits mainly whiskey and rum. I heard their food is also very good but unfortunately I couldn't try it..maybe next time. If you are looking for beer tasting in the city, this one is highly recommended.

Very cozy bar, good beer. The decoration is very unique which I like, feels more intimate than the bars lining Andra Långgatan. The only downside I would say is that it is on the pricier side, as of writing this the cheapest beer is 69kr which is quite a bit higher than other places.
This place is very nice, there is a very special vibe in here, artistically furnished and designed, nice music and a cool selection of beers will complete a very nice evening and dinner time you might definitely pass here! Highly suggested

The atmosphere is great for drinking, but not so much for dining. The quality and choice of the food didn’t match its price, and it’s just not good. However, the staff was friendly and attentive, which made the experience more enjoyable.

Lovely atmosphere and very cozy setting. Smack in the middle of town yet still feels like a retreat from the busy main streets. The bartenders were attentive and very kind. The food was delicious, very fun and perfect for a pub to have pintxos food that you can just go and get as you drink. Beer was very nice too and there was a big sortiment to choose from. Only complaint is that the glasses were so small! However, buy a pitcher and the problem is solved. Really liked the place and will definitely come back!
Cute bar with a pretty decent wine list. We came around 23:00 on a Friday night and got a table with no issues. The service was friendly. The only downside was that they were serving a natural wine on tap that was super mousey, but we just ordered something else.

The place is super cool and last night was full of Swedish people, we decided to go there because the kitchen was still open at 21 and we could have dinner there (most places closes at that time). The food was delicious, we ordered the two local dishes so the meatballs and the stew with potatoes. However, the staff was not so helpful in translating the menu (only in Swedish written on a dashboard) and not willing to suggest us what to order. I would recommend it but just decide in advance what to order ;)
If I could give 10 stars for this place I would! The staff are insanely friendly and kind, I really wish I'd got the name of the guy who served us he had short dark hair and was very attentive and gave us top notch service even though you could see he was serving lots of other people! (It was 3rd July 7pm in case you can find him and thank him).
We ordered the 2 vegan options which is chickpea steak and a cabbage thing (both were very delicious and traditional Swedish style with all the trimmings!). There was a mix up with the orders but the staff sorted it in no time, very impressed at how professional and lovely they were.
Absolutely recommend I can't believe they don't have a higher rating, the beer is good too and the bar tender let me taste some to help me decide which one.

The atmosphere is pleasant, with dim lighting and a variety of beers and alcoholic drinks. The music was good. Location close to the ferry terminal, in a very busy neighborhood with several bars and restaurants. The attendant was friendly and recommended local drinks and food to us. But, there was no menu in english. It has a bathroom (not very clean) and no mirror. Prices aren't that cheap, but for those who want to drink a good beer, it's worth a visit.

A really busy evening and food came out really slow. The waitress still managed to give good service despite the heavy work load. The oysters were fresh and tasty. The octopus was ok but a bit bland. The fish was excellent and came with several sides. A good big meal with a reasonable price.
If you are going to eat here be sure to book before hand, the staff were nice and made space for us by the bar. The staff is very nice, attentive and accommodating.
Loved the olives they had, probably one of the best I’ve had so far at a restaurant.

The risotto was packed with flavour, delicious.

I was out with some friends and we were looking forward to have some fun playing pinball and other games here, but my friend was denied access because there was a "clothing policy". He was wearing shorts and a black tank top. And the rest of us was wearing a t-shirt and simple shorts. So i cannot understand why he was denied access. Well, will definitely never go here again.

What is not to like about the Red Lion. Dinner with the locals, mostly having a beer from the excellent selection. Do they have a spectacular menu? Defenitly not. There are 6 main courses on the menu and those they do exceptionally well. Everything is simple but spot-on. It is a bit away from the center of town. Either by tram of electric step you will be there in a whiff.
Place is cool, food is average. I liked the fish, but fries were dry and oily. Paid 210 kr per portion.

Hops is a great place to enjoy Sweden's nice summers. They have an excellent outside patio, plenty of beers on tap and cans and bottles for purchase. The bacon burger was excellent with a tasty dressing, while the sweet-potato fries were perfectly cooked and came with a dip. Overall, Hops is an ideal stop for anyone in the area.
Great casual bar with an excellent selection of craft beers and food available. Toilets are downstairs and there is a cigarette vending machine also located downstairs. Staff speak both Swedish and English and take cash and card.

I had the unfortunate experience of trying their food though. It tasted like it had been cooked in an old handbag. Everything on the plate had a distinct kind of leathery cigar-y aftertaste. It was quite cheap so that should maybe have been a hint as to the quality.

I also inquired as to their ability to make cocktails and was a bit disappointed. They have a decent collection of bottles in the bar but maybe not the ability or the interest in making cocktails.

Service here sucks. Which is a shame because it is one of the nicest places to sit with a drink in all of Gothenburg in the summer.
You can't order at the bar but the poor waiting staff has so many tables to keep tabs on that it must be impossible. We sat for 20 minutes, finally got to order, then after another 20 where it definitely wasn't going to ever arrive (plenty of others who ordered after us had gotten their drinks) just up and left. Not the waiter's fault, the system is dumb and judging by other negative reviews it clearly doesn't work.
Loved it here. It's a fun mix of a cinema and a bar/restaurant where you can get very good vegetarian dishes. Very unique place
Cozy place, this time we came on a freezing cold day and set inside. Music from the 50s, dark warm and cozy.
They offer very few main courses, all extremely good. Prices are reasonable, you pay when you order. They only have Swedish menu but they are kind enough to translate it.
I ate there few times and enjoyed each time.
Very very good vegetarian food and a nice place to take a beer or a glass of wine. There is some room for improvement with the outdoor seatings. But it's a rustic place where you will have a good evening.
Really recommend their vegetarian loaf!

This is one of Gothenburg’s best Offs, with its own set of unique beers, board games, retro-style game consoles, nice food menu and industrial interior design. You will find families as well as youth there, every Friday it’s ready to serve you an experience you won’t find on Avenue or 2nd Long Street
Great place to try out newly made beers (from the same place) and talk with friends! Decent food, although the chocolate cake was the best part.

There are non beer alternatives (though admittedly the beer is the big draw) and tabletop games as well as a few video game classics there - something for everyone, although the craft beer enjoyer will likely come out ahead.
Great atmosphere of industrial building with brought coziness. As it's brewery, you can taste the most fresh beer and you have a good choice. Haven't eaten there. Also you can play on game automat. Summer terrace exists as well. The only caveat is location: you have to walk by feet about 20 minutes from closest bus stop.

I’m usually not much of a burger fan, however this one was hands down the tastiest one I have ever had. My friends said the same. It’s truly a lucky find!
The burgers were so delicious and the breads were fresh- the most important thing in a burger. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is so cool and makes feel cozy. The service was so fast but maybe since we came in a rainy day it was not full. In overall it is really worth it.

I am a huge smash-burger fan, having tried some of the best in the world, and this one - firstly with one sole patty, that was quite thick and lacked maillard, left a lot to be desired. The bread to meat ratio was off, but I do have to praise the level of salt, which was excellent. I think it is not good value for what you get.
The restaurant is also extremely small, and the barhroom, albeit with a cool industrial vibe, could be improved.
On a positive note, we really enjoyed the sides and the sweet potato fries. Crisp and salted to perfection!

Our first time at a Michelin restaurant, and I can see why they were given the rating here. Everything was incredible, from the dishes to the wine pairings with each of the courses. Our proteins were Hamachi, Turbot, Halibut & lamb.
We spent a wonderful evening here with the most delicious food. The different tastes were often surprising and always exquisite. The Wine and beer paring superb. Everything was just perfect and the staff absolutely excellent, warm and accommodating. We will come back when we are in Gothenburg.

Really cool space. Unfortunately the drinks didn’t live up to the decor. Both drinks we had were super sweet, reminding us more of party drinks on Bourbon Street in New Orleans than sophisticated cocktails. One of our drinks had dry ice in it to create fog, which just seems like a gimmick unless the drink is really good, which this one wasn’t. And it seemed a bit odd that they didn’t mention anything about the potential danger of ingesting dry ice. On the plus side, the fries were very tasty.
They have this whole theme, attention to details!
Loved having drinks in here, had the black potion (whiskey cocktail) that’s quite easy to drink and dangerous for that!!
Even the servers kept the theme up and the atmosphere was great 👍🏾

Lovely place, fully committed to the steampunk style. Food was good, drinks excellent, and a truly mind-boggling amount of choices of Gin. Staff was very friendly and helpful, as well as just nice to have a chat with.
Black haired bartender was cool. So were the servers. Came back another night and was “greeted” by a surly red haired bartender with some “agenda” he needs to sort himself out out if wishes to continue in customer service sector. I should have walked out but had friends there.
Quite, nice, cosy place to meet friends, family. There's another with bueatiful sofa. Inside design is very unique. It looks like the owner is creative person who likes handwork too.

Spectacular restaurant with the creative cocktails to match! A fun and unique place, for anyone looking for something different. Food is very much OK, with quite good value for money. If you like gin, it's a given choice since it's the place's speciality. The service we got was personal, engaged and amusing.
The venue itself is very cosy and eccentric.
Some advice: if you're out to dine as a couple, make sure you get a table upstairs. If you're a larger group, you'll probably be seated on ground floor where only one side of the table will get a sofa with a backrest; the other half will sit on a bench without. This might be a bit uncomfortable for some.

I love middle Europe! We are living in Norway, and everytime we come back from our trip through Hungary, Slovakia, Czech republic, Germany and sweeden we are Always sad that the European culture As a whole, disappears ín Norway. However, sweeden itself contains a whole lot of the middle European vibe, but in this very restaurant, we found Prague itself.
Started in 1973 by 4 Czechs who obviously wanted to bring the golden nectar to scandinavia, this place is 100% legit. We felt that we were in a Prague Svejk.
The beer: Tastes exactly the same As tapped in Prague itself, and is a place EVERY beer lover in Göteborg must visit.
I had Smazeny Syr (Yeah...I know 😍😍) and IT was fantastic with an amazingly fresh portion of cabbage and carrot, while my loved one had Smazeny Rizek (again....this was middle Europe in sweeden) and IT was cooked to perfection, juicy - we got a generous portion of tatarska omacka.
As a couple who were sad to leave the middle Europe from vacation, this place touched a special place in our hearts for middle Europe.

Had a very nice dinner with colleagues after work. The portions were very generous and the price very affordable. They had a nice wide selection of beers, mixed drinks, and cider. I would definitely visit here again.
One of my favourite places in the area. Very cozy atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, yummy food at reasonable prices. Also try the lunch menu during the week: soup, bread, salad bar and a main at ~125 SEK.
Waitress and cooks are friendly, I went in after their last call, but they still cook for me. They are so lovely! The food is soooooo gooood and big portions.

Historical beer house; it’s nice to sit and watch the street while enjoying your beer. We had Swedish beers and we enjoyed them.
Went here because of the high rating on Google maps, couldn't see why it had it though. Basic range of Carlsberg linked beers, no ciders, a few spirits. No food served that I could see, hence the low rating for that. No-one serving when we arrived, eventually after a few minutes someone appeared from a back room.
Inside is crammed with so many seats and tables it was hard to move around, a few locals were there having a good time, but pretty empty otherwise, and wasn't tempted to have a second drink.
Oldest pub in Gothenburg, according to its web site. Good place for a beer. Fairly small with a patio on the street that was bursting with enthusiasm when I was here.
A Gothenburg classic, and a great place to stop for a cold beer. Very simple furniture which creates a special atmosphere, together with all the regulars. Some of Gothenburg's friendliest prices for a beer. A must when in town.

Nice place for a beer, 20 draft beers on tap with a variety of flavours/ strengths. Had wine too and spirits but mixers were tonic or sprite only, so a few more soft drink option would have been good. Food was nice, meatballs came with delicious potato mash and cream sauce (was a bit cold) but chips were good too. Best thing was mushroom toast. Was a busy place in good location.
When you walk into a craft beer bar you'd expect those behind the bar to know about the beers they are selling. Unfortunately the chap when we were there had no idea. Glad I made a decent choice myself.
Food was good. The shrimp rye bread really good and the Caesar salad mediocre.
Service was somewhat untrained and cleared every plate or glass as soon as it was empty.
The atmosphere was a bit bar like and not super clean. But it works and it has good space and plenty of beers to choose from.

This place is so beautiful inside and super clean. They have TV’s all over the place showing sports and the music is really good. The staff is very friendly and aware. Everyday they have a dish of the day and it includes a little buffet of salads, coffee and cookies. I chose to have a burger… it was good, but a little dry. I would suggest to add 1 extra slice of tomato and to make it medium or medium/well by default, because the well done it’s a little dry. Otherwise is very pleasant place

The staff rang the bell to close the bar 20 minutes before the game ended—and not just any game, but the biggest football event of the year (Champions League Final). They turned off the big screen during the closing ceremony, right before the winning team lifted the trophy. Completely disrespectful to customers.
The burger was cheap low-quality and the bar staff were just as unwelcoming. Asking what lagers they had was apparently a very annoying question—the bartender made that very clear with his attitude.
On the plus side, plenty of empty seats…now I know why. Won’t be coming back.

We decided to eat here as it was one of the few places that were still open and served food on a Tuesday evening. Place was mostly empty, just a few other guests. We had a vegetarian and a chicken burger. Food was good, came with a side of sweet potatoes and plenty of sauces - which was a nice surprise. To place your order, you need to go to the bar, so not much service really. All in all, it was a good dinner

Barley's Food Factory Restaurant in Sweden is a brand-new, low-lit bar with a lived-in feel, featuring concrete walls adorned with graffiti and playing hard rock music. The owner, Stefan, previously managed a nearby vegan hangout. The restaurant offers straightforward American fare such as burgers and fries, along with milkshakes and a good selection of beers. Additionally, they serve portobello burgers and bean burgers, as well as Tijuana fries with Pulled Vegme.
Just a fantastic place if you love good quality burgers (not like quick premade type) instead hand selected and mouth watering texture and mix of flavors tingling your taste buds! Then this is the place for you not to miss on any given day especially clubbed with hand crafted beers and rustic retro ambiance! Give it a try am sure you will visit again!

This place is not what it once was. The vegan burgers were tasty, but I will not babble more about that.
We ordered one portabello burger and one vegolicious burger with sweet potato fries and BBQ sauce. Vegan. The portabello tasted like a big Mac from McDonald's. And was sloppy like one. The vegolicious came with vegan cheese although we ordered it specifically because the lack of cheese. Otherwise, the taste was ok. The fries were small and half of them were burnt and could barely be dipped in the sauce container.
It was also a lot of ppl here this day, and that can explain many things although we had to wait for 55 mins to get our order.

I visited BrewDog Göteborg last night and had a great time.
They have a great selection of beers (BrewDog and guest breweries) on tap and an extensive menu … with a vegan nacho plate on offer, which I couldn’t resist.
I was well looked after by Henk, Emily and Rasmus during my visit. The level of service they gave was outstanding.
Good food, great service and very calm and relaxing atmosphere. Kids eat free on Sundays is a very nice touch and the nacho chaos was the highlight of the meal!
A very lovely pub in downtown Gothenburg and an ideal rest stop for a beer and so.e light food while wandering the city. Very recommended with excellent choices of beer and knowledgeable and friendly staff.

We managed to get to this place as the city was packed due to a sports match. Like the rest of the restaurants, this once was crowded too. Nevertheless, the staff was very friendly and managed to get us a table.
I had to try the Swedish meatballs. They were good and savoury but I feel like it was missing something. Maybe I was expecting a bigger plate.
The prices are okay and the service was good.
The atmosphere is almost like a pub- but you can eat here too! Its not cheap but compared to the other restaurants in this street its definitely alright. The food is very good and looked very homemade. the place was a quite crowded when we got here (at 7 pm) but got empty fast enough. Very friendly stuff, while it was crowded we had to do self service, thats why i would rate 4 instead of 5 stars. Would recommend if you are looking for authentic swedish food (as far as i can tell).
The waiter was super friendly, translated and recommended everything. Lunch menu is great, you can choose between fish, meat, vegetarian menu and salad and coffee are included. Atmosphere is great, small terrasse is cute. Totally recommendable!
Nice place to have food. It’s kind of like a bar, many people coming in and buying drinks. The food was amazing, enough and good presentation, the person at the bar recommended the Halv Special and it was very good! Prices are fair for what you get. I recommend ☺️
I met some friends here on a Tuesday afternoon and I found the place packed to my surprise! The lady waiting offered to find me a table but was strict that my company should be there quickly and then left me hanging without letting me know if there is place available or not. The food was tasty and fresh and the drinks were nice. The service was first too slow and then when the restaurant was empty later too frequent! I liked the experience overall.
This was a great hangout for tasty meatballs and hefty beers with friends. No frills. Chairs were uncomfortable! The food was worth a trip back or to another location of this chain!!
I had lunch here (sept 2025) and I am a big fan of Tullen generally. Of the different location, this was the least satisfying.
Food was mediocre. We got köttbullar and the potatismos was cold, and a fish dish missing flavour.
But we appreciate the staff and quick service , even on a crowded weekend

Such a lovely place, they have really embraced the American theme. I loved the little small talk from the chef when I was ordering at the counter, such warmth and friendliness. Food was well smoked and tasty, craft beer selection looked nice although I could not try anything this evening.
Terrific place! Awesome meat, awesome brisket, with a surprisingly big menu for vegetarian options as well. Texan atmosphere with a modern Swedish touch. Service is friendly (but in English), and the staff are truly passionate about their food. Recommended!
The brisket was absolutely fantastic, and the burnt ends also tasted great here. There is a slightly unusual lettering system, in that if you are sitting on the upstairs outdoor terrace, you have to go inside to order your drinks. You also get a buzzer that tells you that it is time to get your food from the counter. Although the food was great, even though we're were dining there it gave it all a bit of a street food feel, rather than a restaurant. Although I love street food, it wasn't quite the experience that I was expecting.

Wow. This place is fantastic. We’re foodies from Dallas Tx and grew up around the titans of the TX BBQ scene, Terry blacks, Lockhart, Pecan lodge etc…
So to say we were shocked to find Texas BBQ in Sweden of all places?!? Had to give it a go!
This place hits close to home. INCREDIBLY solid brisket, jalapeño sausage, and burnt ends. But the sides round it all off with tons of great veggie options for your more herbivorous friends while you get a Texas fix.
Couple all this with solid beer and great vibes, you can go wrong deep in the heart of !¿Sweden?!
BEST BRISKET EVER ! I’ve tried Brisket and Friends in Stockholm and it was a good experience, but the one in Göteborg is just outstanding!
. First of all, the food was absolutely delicious. We ordered the Table Breaker for 2: The quantity was perfect, and the meat was cooked to perfection: juicy, tender, with just the right amount of fat to keep it flavorful without being greasy. The chef did an amazing job, cooking meat like that isn’t easy, and he nailed it!
. The side dishes (potatoes, coleslaw, mac & cheese) were all well-seasoned and super tasty. With the pickles and bread on the side, I literally rolled out of the restaurant full and happy !
The lady who served us was lovely, she checked in on us and made sure everything was perfect. It’s run by a wonderful couple, and you can really tell they put their hearts into what they do.

Had some really nice IPA beers here—great selection with bold flavors. The pizza with sour cream and onion was surprisingly good and definitely worth trying. Very cozy bar with a decent collection of beers and an ample of them on draft. It gives you a nice local bar vibe with music in the background and little groups hanging out. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly. I ordered the spicy pizza and yes, the sour dough does give a nice touch. It got a decent taste and a hint of spice; I would prefer a bit more sourness in the dough though.
Very busy, relatively noisy with a good beer selection and the pizzas looked really good. Outdoor seating in front and in the side with heaters when necessary, as this is Sweden they are necessary.
Great beers and solid pizzas and salad! Enjoyed our evening here and recommend visiting for the great beers!

Good Pizza but i would say it's better over in their original location, on tredge Långgatan. Beers are good. I have been here a few times now however and the attitude of the two that seem to be always working there has always been laughably combatitive. Every time ive been to the bar i've been ignored, then if you politely interrupt you get hateful stares and met with a pin machine whilst they avert their interest. then no thanks or nothing, i find myself saying thanks to nobody for paying an overly expensive tab. One lady literally was pretending to read the ingredients on the salt container and side glancing to see if i was still there, instead of looking at me while i waited (only me at the bar). might be because they have table QR codes, so don't expect to actually have to do any customer contact.

Nice place, busy considering it is kind of hidden at end of street. Good selection of 15 beers on tap, numbered for ease of choice. Nice wine and cocktails too, ciparinha was good. We had 5 pizzas between 11 people which was a good amount for mid afternoon. The pizza was soggy which lets it down and topping fell off.

The atmosphere is alright, its exactly what you expect from a low price shitbar, so cant really complain about that. However, very rude staff - my friend got the wrong order and havent seen one of the staff smile or say something nice ever, they are people from the middle east with very limited english.

Also almost no music whatsoever, sometimes there is some music but its soooo low that can you barely hear it.

My colleague and I visited this bar for after-work drinks. Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant. A woman who claimed to be an employee approached our table and began insinuating that we had "tagged" in the restroom. She was very confrontational and continued to question us despite our repeated denials that we had done such a thing.
After a short while, she left us alone, but later returned and claimed that there was a smell of "permanent marker" near our table. She continued to insinuate that we had "tagged" in the restroom and said they have cameras and will review the footage. Looking back, it feels very strange that they have cameras in the restroom, but I told her she could go ahead and check the cameras.
It wasn't until a young guy at a nearby table admitted responsibility that she left us alone. She was probably lying to us about working there as she was sitting at the bar, but that doesn't justify why the staff who served us sat with her and watched as she harassed us.
This behavior from the staff is unprofessional and should not be tolerated. I strongly recommend avoiding this bar if you're looking for a pleasant and professional atmosphere.
Very laid back place with really affordable prices! On Sunday they have pizza for 45 SEK, and their vegan options is really good!
The tables are long and can seat 4 to 8 people, so it's a good place to bring a lot of friends, combine that with a beer for 39 SEK, what can go wrong?
Cheap and a little scruffy place for both food and drinks. Mainly ‘alternative’ clientele being punks, metal heads and other subculture people. The food is mainly fast food like kebabs, nachos and pizzas and most dishes can be served fully vegan including the pizza. They also have a very decent amount of local craft beer in cans and bottles, not as much on tap. If this is what you’re after and you’re not looking for something fancy, then this is definitely a 5/5.
A great place to hang with your friends and they allow dogs, which is great for everyone! Cheap beer and good vegan food for low prices. A great Swedish dive-bar.

It's a dive. I like dives. But this bar is unexpectedly nice. I appreciate the time I spent. The Bartender was excellent, albeit a little unkempt. That being said... I'll return. Magically the bathrooms are something to be viewed. A history of tagging. A mark of independence.
The website clearly states that they serve the national dish of Denmark "stegt flæsk med persillesovs og kartofler" so I went in and ordered stegt flæsk, but got soggy flæsk drenched in a nasty siracha mayonaise - disgusting and disrespectful to serve as Danish food to a Dane - 0 stars for the food, the beer was fine and the lady behind the bar friendly.

Horrible guard at the door that didn’t like gay couples? He let other people in and we just had a couple of beers before with friends. We went to street life across the street and was warmly welcomed at the door. If you are bi / gay stay away from this bar!
Their beer selection is a bit lacking, but their pizza was surprisingly good. Atmosphere is nice with music not being so loud you can't talk to people. Bartenders seemed stressed for some reason, wasn't super crowded or anything. Ventilation could definitely use an upgrade, got quite hot and clammy upstairs.

Soho might be the best bar located at Andra långgatan. First of, cheat and nice Swedish beer Sofiero. The atmosphere is cosy and the bartenders are most often sweet. The owner is a nice guy who always welcomes you. The halloumi burger is awesome and it's served with onion rings and fries. The pizzas could be better, but I'll still give them five stars in the catagory street bar in Gothenburg.
The beer was excellent and the volume of the music is perfect because you can hear what the other person is saying. but!! The bartender was unfriendly, I asked for a mojito and it tasted like lemonade and very sugary, I told him if he could improve it and with his arrogant attitude he said no! I lost my money and my time, it is assumed that as a customer I want a good experience and the bartender did not give me solutions 😪 with his defensive attitude I wanted to avoid problems and not ask for my money back.

One of the best bars in town, my personal favourite. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing both in the garden and indoors. Nicely decorated in a 50s-70s modernist style, nice music and a great vibe from its patrons. The dishes are unique and inviting. They beer selection is not great but its just what you need. The only thing that needs an upgrade are the toilets.

I like Oceanen. It’s a great Gothenburg pub, good people can be met here and it’s always buzzing. I also love that almost everything on the menu is also available in a vegan option. But in the end, it’s pub food, and rather average at that. Still, the good price point makes up for it. As a place to eat (as a vegan) it’s a 3/5.

The stores have limited opening hours, closing early on Saturdays and remaining closed on Sundays. Despite this, they offer a good selection of alcohol at reasonable prices due to government regulations prohibiting profit from sales.

The prices are uniform across the chain but the alcohol on offer may vary, so be aware of that. I was really impressed with the wide range of choice and prices, especially after seeing the restaurant alcohol prices. Another great pros is having all characteristics spelled out for you in the label - the country, taste, smell, everything you can expect from alcohol.

I thought this would be quite dull and uninviting as a government run store, but everything was clear, clean and beautifully laid out in typical Scandinavian style. Drinks were ordered by type, with a good range, and I gather you can order almost anything for collection if they don't stock it normally. Staff were friendly and efficient, overall a very pleasant experience.

I love this place, a blend of Swedish classical food and British pub atmosphere, where the staff remember you and your preferences after a few visits. It's easy to customise meals to dietary needs and the staff can make expert recommendations about drinks. Lovely outdoor seating in summer and cosy lighting and decor indoors. A friendly neighborhood atmosphere and great place to dine alone or with friends.
You can also get a bit of Swedish and Gothenburg history with a dish like the "Workers Meal Box."

Modern fine dining with intriguing new flavor combinations, off the beaten path near Järntorget - Bang impressed us.
First - the food. There is a suggested menu that has to be ordered by everyone at the table, or you can order individual dishes - we did the latter to maximize the experience, sharing everything. The dishes started off decidedly simple yet delicious, with a few bold flavors in classic combinations - pickles with sour cream and honey, anchovies with grilled lemon and bread. Then, as the meal progressed, we were treated to increasingly complex and wonderful dishes that nevertheless held true to a few strong core flavors - celeriac with lovage and toasted hazelnuts, lamb tartare with burnt cabbage and samphire, duck breast with turnip and buckthorn. In short, we left not only satisfied but inspired.
The service was immaculate, though maybe this was in some part due to us being the only diners at the time. After chatting with the attentive and knowledgeable waitress we learned that while Bang is packed in the weekends, weekdays are painfully slow. This is simply criminal - if I lived in Gothenburg I'd be a regular.
Lastly, and perhaps most surprising, the pricing feels very fair, which is a breath of fresh air. For the same caliber of experience, I have paid significantly steeper prices elsewhere. For me, this "small" discrepancy would make the difference between Bang being a yearly visit vs. a monthly visit.
Needless to say, we will be back.
Bang is a hidden gem in Gothenburg.. the combination of one of the BEST food experiences in town with the cool oldschool 90ies hiphop beats and low key interior design results in a fantastic wholesome dinner experience..
